In a wild August showdown at a Publix parking lot in Panama City, Florida, two men—one with a prison record—fought over a woman they both knew, escalating from words to machete and hatchet blows. James Gay, recently released from prison after serving time for a 2011 murder, allegedly started the fight by attacking Everette Krichbaum with a machete, knocking him out.
