- 0:00Speaker 1: This is a disruptor's podcast. Welcome to Revealing Wholeness podcast
- 0:08Speaker 1: dedicated to revealing the profound connections between body, mind, and spirit,
- 0:12Speaker 1: where we believe that true wellness arises from addressing the
- 0:15Speaker 1: root causes of our health challenges, not just masking the symptoms.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Here we dive deep into how holistic approaches such as
- 0:21Speaker 1: advanced chiropractic care, personalized nutrition, and natural healing practices can
- 0:26Speaker 1: transform your life. Now Here is doctor Troy.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Hello and welcome. This is doctor Troy. This next one,
- 0:42Speaker 2: this is a hoot. Honestly, smartphone dangers? Could your cell
- 0:46Speaker 2: phone be bad for your health? I was like, really,
- 0:49Speaker 2: think about it, just for a moment, when you think
- 0:51Speaker 2: about your cell phone. Do you want it by your
- 0:54Speaker 2: head twenty four to seven? Would you like it by
- 0:58Speaker 2: your chest where your heart sit for very long? Would
- 1:02Speaker 2: you like it by maybe in your pocket next to
- 1:04Speaker 2: your important parts let's just say, And all of us
- 1:08Speaker 2: would think, you know, maybe I wouldn't want that. I
- 1:14Speaker 2: can inherently realize my cell phone is probably not very
- 1:16Speaker 2: good for my health. Now, the funny thing is is
- 1:19Speaker 2: I'm not going to belabor this particular article, but it
- 1:22Speaker 2: is quite funny until we get to number eight, and
- 1:24Speaker 2: so let's have a conversation about smartphones. So if you
- 1:29Speaker 2: think that, hey, what could be dangerous about your smartphone?
- 1:32Speaker 2: Most of us are going to think of radiation. I mean,
- 1:34Speaker 2: that's where our brain's going to go. And if it doesn't,
- 1:36Speaker 2: then kudos to you, because apparently they didn't to this
- 1:39Speaker 2: article either. And so the very first thing that they
- 1:42Speaker 2: talk about is smartphones have germs. I'm thinking, what everything
- 1:47Speaker 2: has germs? Germs are everywhere. Why do we care if
- 1:51Speaker 2: there's germs on our smartphone? And who hasn't had their
- 1:55Speaker 2: smartphone for years at this point and taking it to
- 1:58Speaker 2: the bathroom and with it, take it to lunch, staring
- 2:02Speaker 2: at a video, eat a sandwich while you're holding your smartphone.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I mean it, How could you even like question that?
- 2:08Speaker 2: In fact, even for a moment, if we thought about, well, gosh,
- 2:11Speaker 2: maybe those germs are bad. Well, how long you've been
- 2:13Speaker 2: holding your cell phone, eating and going to the bathroom
- 2:15Speaker 2: and doing everything that you do forever? Oh okay, so
- 2:19Speaker 2: then how bad are germs? Well, I guess not real bad.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Then you'd be correct, because that's how awesome our bodies are.
- 2:29Speaker 2: And yet they would have us believe that these germs
- 2:31Speaker 2: are they're dangerous. I was like, really, So they said
- 2:35Speaker 2: that you should clean your your phone with an alcohol
- 2:38Speaker 2: swab often, I'm like really, why? Anyways, that's me And
- 2:43Speaker 2: so next I was like, oh, you gotta be kidding me.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Watch your neck, friends, because looking down all the time
- 2:51Speaker 2: is not so good. Now. While this is obvious and
- 2:55Speaker 2: I do deal with some neck issues with cell phones
- 2:58Speaker 2: with people, I mean, is it dangerous? I suppose if
- 3:04Speaker 2: you get a misalignment in your neck, it doesn't feel good.
- 3:06Speaker 2: It can cause headaches, it can cause you to have nosebleeds,
- 3:09Speaker 2: it can cause sinus problems, it can cause decreased immune system. Okay, yes,
- 3:13Speaker 2: those are pretty serious things. So yeah, okay, so what
- 3:20Speaker 2: do we do?
- 3:21Speaker 1: Well?
- 3:22Speaker 2: I always use a phone holder or I have my
- 3:26Speaker 2: phone tipped up because I want it away from me.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I don't want to I don't want to hold my
- 3:29Speaker 2: phone while that's playing a video. I recently took a oh,
- 3:34Speaker 2: an RF indicator or like a monitor that would show
- 3:38Speaker 2: radio frequencies and EMFs and all this stuff, and it
- 3:44Speaker 2: says that we're allowed like one point five on whatever
- 3:47Speaker 2: metric that is. This gauge was registering and I held
- 3:51Speaker 2: it up to my cell phone, and it was it
- 3:54Speaker 2: was just weird. And every time it did this little
- 4:00Speaker 2: weird jump in the sound, it would jump up to
- 4:03Speaker 2: like eight. Now it wasn't a constant. It kept doing it.
- 4:07Speaker 2: It would go down into like the point four point
- 4:11Speaker 2: five point six, And they say one point five was
- 4:14Speaker 2: like standard limit. And this is jumping up to eight
- 4:17Speaker 2: every once in a while eleven and I think it
- 4:20Speaker 2: maxed out at fifteen, and it would error, it would
- 4:24Speaker 2: error often. I'm just telling you at ten times the
- 4:28Speaker 2: allowed amount, it's erring, meaning it's above that. And so
- 4:33Speaker 2: I'm going to recommend that you don't keep your cell
- 4:36Speaker 2: phone anywhere around you if at all possible. Yet we
- 4:39Speaker 2: all do it, and so watch your neck. That that's
- 4:43Speaker 2: really that's really what they wanted to convey to us.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Hold your phone properly, they said, was next, because it's dangerous.
- 4:50Speaker 2: So if you have it pinched between your head and
- 4:53Speaker 2: your shoulder, that's not okay. Well yeah, because now you're
- 4:56Speaker 2: getting not only your shoulder but your head as well.
- 4:59Speaker 2: And the next texting while driving, I'm thinking, yeah, you
- 5:03Speaker 2: probably shouldn't do that. And they show somebody with actually
- 5:07Speaker 2: a steering whee in front of them, texting with their
- 5:09Speaker 2: fingers both thumbs. I'm thinking, what you don't use like
- 5:12Speaker 2: talk to text at least? Come on people. And next
- 5:16Speaker 2: was talking while driving on your phone. I'm thinking, okay,
- 5:19Speaker 2: but we have passengers in the car and we talk
- 5:22Speaker 2: to them just fine if we have hands free driving.
- 5:25Speaker 2: But I think they're talking about, Hey, you don't have
- 5:27Speaker 2: hands free and you're holding the phone up to your head.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I would agree with that that's probably not the best thing.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Next is beware of blue light. I'm thinking blue light.
- 5:37Speaker 2: You're gonna put blue light above radiation of a cell phone? Okay,
- 5:42Speaker 2: are we ever gonna get to radiation of a cell phone? Now,
- 5:46Speaker 2: pay attention while walking being on your phone because you
- 5:50Speaker 2: might run into a pole or something. I'm thinking this
- 5:53Speaker 2: goes above the amount of radiation and a cell phone. Wow,
- 5:58Speaker 2: I'm just I'm amazed because the next one they finally
- 6:03Speaker 2: do get to do smartphones cause cancer. Now what's fascinating
- 6:10Speaker 2: is I'm going to read this portion to you because
- 6:12Speaker 2: they slip in some true things, but they're trying to
- 6:17Speaker 2: minimize other things. So let's just read a couple things here.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Some people worry that cell phones you use. Cell phone
- 6:24Speaker 2: use is associated with brain tumors, brain cancer, and other
- 6:28Speaker 2: types of tumors and cancer. Evidence from epidemiologic studies do
- 6:34Speaker 2: not show a link between smartphones use and these conditions.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I'm thinking, really, then, where did you get your epidemiological studies,
- 6:44Speaker 2: because the ones I keep reading they do show if
- 6:49Speaker 2: you have concerns about ionizing radiation emitting from your cell phone,
- 6:53Speaker 2: limit the amount of time you use them. So they
- 6:55Speaker 2: just said if you have concerns, not that you should
- 6:59Speaker 2: have them, but if you have concerns, you should limit
- 7:02Speaker 2: your exposure. Oh okay, well thanks for that. If if
- 7:07Speaker 2: you would like to minimize your exposure to cell phone radiation,
- 7:11Speaker 2: talk on the phone in speaker mode or use headset again,
- 7:16Speaker 2: if you would like to minimize your exposure. Well, you
- 7:20Speaker 2: just said that there was nothing associated by with epidemiologic studies,
- 7:24Speaker 2: So really, why are you saying that there's exposure? Isn't
- 7:27Speaker 2: it fascinating? So they're not denying the exposure. They're not
- 7:32Speaker 2: outright denying things. Even though they have tumors in the
- 7:37Speaker 2: shape of a cell phone of people holding them against
- 7:39Speaker 2: their head, but that's just coincidence. The inter phone study
- 7:47Speaker 2: was a case controlled study examining the effects mobile phone
- 7:52Speaker 2: use had on brain tumor risk. So here they created
- 7:55Speaker 2: a very well designed controlled study that could disc prove
- 8:01Speaker 2: these brain tumor risks. So now they're quoting it to you,
- 8:05Speaker 2: so you should feel really safe and secure about this
- 8:07Speaker 2: particular study and that it's completely above board. The study
- 8:12Speaker 2: found that there was no increase in risk of two
- 8:15Speaker 2: types of tumors, glioma and minngioma. I'm thinking, yeah, but
- 8:21Speaker 2: what about the other ones. Well, we're not going to
- 8:23Speaker 2: talk about that because they were just you know, it
- 8:28Speaker 2: didn't fit the study. Oh okay, So here we have
- 8:33Speaker 2: these these studies that they produce, and if I'm just
- 8:37Speaker 2: a lay person that have never been exposed to any
- 8:40Speaker 2: kind of sleight of hand by research articles and articles
- 8:43Speaker 2: like this, I actually would probably believe, Oh okay, cell
- 8:46Speaker 2: phone used snow big deal. And of course, in the
- 8:50Speaker 2: grand scheme of things, I suppose they aren't going away.
- 8:54Speaker 2: And I keep thinking, maybe maybe we should be exposing
- 8:59Speaker 2: our cho D to some of these radiation things, because
- 9:04Speaker 2: maybe their body is young enough to adapt genetically to
- 9:07Speaker 2: it and actually create some safeguards. We as adults that
- 9:11Speaker 2: like myself that started using cell phones in our late
- 9:15Speaker 2: thirties early forties, and here we are now inundated with them.
- 9:20Speaker 2: We see kids with them all the time, with them,
- 9:22Speaker 2: you know, in their pockets, in their shirts. I mean,
- 9:27Speaker 2: I would hope that they wouldn't do that. I tell
- 9:29Speaker 2: my kids, I said, hey, at least keep the thing
- 9:31Speaker 2: a half inch away from you. So in a pocket
- 9:34Speaker 2: is too close in a perse fine, try to keep
- 9:37Speaker 2: it an outside pocket for me. I actually turn it
- 9:40Speaker 2: on airplane mode even though it still has radiation, it's
- 9:43Speaker 2: still producing because I've checked it with those devices. It
- 9:47Speaker 2: was a lot less, but it was still something. I
- 9:50Speaker 2: was actually surprised. So it's always pinging something, and so
- 9:54Speaker 2: I keep mine far away from me as often as
- 9:57Speaker 2: I can. Like even right now, it's a for me
- 10:00Speaker 2: and it's on airplane mode. I don't need to have
- 10:04Speaker 2: it on all the time. It stays downstairs the farthest
- 10:07Speaker 2: away from my bedroom that it can. I'm just not
- 10:11Speaker 2: interested in having it around me all the time. And
- 10:14Speaker 2: I think many of us should start disconnecting that umbilical
- 10:18Speaker 2: cord to our cell phone and start doing something a
- 10:21Speaker 2: little differently. So there are a couple other things that
- 10:24Speaker 2: it does. Talk about it says, guard your thumbs, your
- 10:27Speaker 2: poor thumbs from texting. I tend to talk talk to text,
- 10:31Speaker 2: and I giggle at what it does. I'll often just
- 10:34Speaker 2: text it because it's just funny what it thinks I said,
- 10:37Speaker 2: And then of course I'll correct it with the next text,
- 10:40Speaker 2: because I just think it's hilarious. Hey, enjoy this text
- 10:42Speaker 2: because it was pretty funny. Arthritis and texting. Well, what
- 10:46Speaker 2: do you think happens if you hold a phone that's
- 10:48Speaker 2: emitting radiation and your hand is holding it? Yeah, you know, Okay, Well,
- 10:54Speaker 2: at least it's not my brain. At least it's not
- 10:56Speaker 2: my heart or breast tissue. With some women with its
- 10:59Speaker 2: cell phone the bra that you know still in your hands,
- 11:03Speaker 2: I'd be thinking, you know, get it away from your hands.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Next one is also about it, cubital tunnel syndrome. So
- 11:09Speaker 2: right by the thumb, you know this tunnel. Be aware
- 11:12Speaker 2: of electronic interference if you have a pacemaker. I'm thinking, yeah,
- 11:16Speaker 2: that probably be wise. And then protect your eyesight. What
- 11:20Speaker 2: do you mean, well, the blue light emitted from smartphones
- 11:23Speaker 2: apparently can affect I strain an eyepain. I'm thinking we
- 11:29Speaker 2: probably would all do well to start getting away from televisions, computers, tablets,
- 11:34Speaker 2: all of it. My phone is continuously on Amber. Even
- 11:38Speaker 2: my my computer at home, the screen is about three
- 11:42Speaker 2: and a half feet away from me. I try to
- 11:44Speaker 2: keep it as far away from me as possible, and
- 11:46Speaker 2: I have it on Amber. I don't like the blue
- 11:49Speaker 2: light anyways, It's irritating to me. And so with that
- 11:53Speaker 2: is something that I encourage everyone to do, just to
- 11:57Speaker 2: just to do it. And then this last one is
- 12:00Speaker 2: medical distractions. So you got a doctor that's on their
- 12:03Speaker 2: phone instead of taking care of you. I thought that's
- 12:06Speaker 2: kind of hilarious. So again a basic article, and I
- 12:11Speaker 2: think it was completely designed around to minimize this one
- 12:15Speaker 2: section section number eight about all they don't cause tumors,
- 12:20Speaker 2: they don't cause cancer. Yeah, radiation doesn't do that. Oh okay,
- 12:26Speaker 2: Well everything everybody else has read and studied says it does.
- 12:30Speaker 2: But if you created an article that actually shows that
- 12:33Speaker 2: it doesn't, oh well, then let me believe you, because
- 12:35Speaker 2: you know one against one hundred thousand is probably probably true. Anyways,
- 12:40Speaker 2: you do you, I'll do me. But I still am
- 12:42Speaker 2: going to report what I find and I find it
- 12:45Speaker 2: irritating slightly, but I digress, and so I hope this
- 12:50Speaker 2: was helpful. I hope it kind of a little bit
- 12:52Speaker 2: changes your your thoughts about you know what. Maybe I
- 12:55Speaker 2: will get a wired headset. Maybe I won't do just
- 13:00Speaker 2: you know, little buds in my ear that have to
- 13:03Speaker 2: transmit a signal through my brain to my cell phone.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Maybe I will get a little stand for my phone
- 13:11Speaker 2: so I don't have to hold it and I can
- 13:12Speaker 2: just swipe once in a while. Maybe I will actually
- 13:16Speaker 2: maybe be on a computer with a screen that's really
- 13:18Speaker 2: far away that would at least be better for my eyes,
- 13:21Speaker 2: and I can control the amber instead of just the
- 13:24Speaker 2: death scroll of online stuff. And so there's little things
- 13:28Speaker 2: I think we can do quite well. Hey, if I'm
- 13:30Speaker 2: going to do a cell phone, how do I prevent radiation? Well, gosh,
- 13:34Speaker 2: what do radiation workers do? They take iodine and they
- 13:38Speaker 2: make sure that they get plenty of good protein that's
- 13:41Speaker 2: not denatured so that they can repair their DNA. They
- 13:44Speaker 2: make sure that they get you know, nutritional components that
- 13:48Speaker 2: are going to help their brain, their pituitary, their hypothalamus,
- 13:54Speaker 2: their testes, breast tissue all protect themselves against the onslaught
- 13:59Speaker 2: of radiation that isn't getting any better in our society,
- 14:02Speaker 2: it's only increasing, so it might be wise for you
- 14:07Speaker 2: to do that as well. If you want some help
- 14:09Speaker 2: with that, I'm happy, happy to help you. I would
- 14:13Speaker 2: love for you to live an exquisite, beautiful, non painful,
- 14:20Speaker 2: fun life. If you're interested in that, then I'm your guy.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Until next time, I'm doctor Troy. To remember there is
- 14:27Speaker 2: way more right with you than there is wrong with you.
