- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Bea Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing it.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Dear Banya, it's dear Bonia.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Who you gonna call it? Why?
- 0:23Speaker 2: Everyone said they don't need it? So I'm here for
- 0:27Speaker 2: the I'm listening to the people.
- 0:29Speaker 4: Well, I'm not listening to the people. We don't have
- 0:34Speaker 4: to play the jingle. We can create our own jingle
- 0:36Speaker 4: every time.
- 0:36Speaker 3: I don't want to hear about the jingle anymore.
- 0:40Speaker 2: They'd rather hear you say scrub a dub dub in
- 0:48Speaker 2: the top.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Question.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Fine, then I'll bring it back.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I know you haven't watched Grays in like five years,
- 0:59Speaker 2: but Mark, are you caught up?
- 1:01Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:01Speaker 2: Okay, So the other night, I you know, I've had
- 1:06Speaker 2: this theory that when I drink coffee, I can just
- 1:08Speaker 2: go to sleep after So I've never worried about when
- 1:11Speaker 2: I drink.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Coffee in the day. Okay, And I haven't had.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Coffee in a long time outside of the morning hours,
- 1:17Speaker 2: and the other day I was just like crashing in
- 1:19Speaker 2: the middle of the afternoon. So I ordered a coffee
- 1:21Speaker 2: at like four and drink it well, I was just
- 1:24Speaker 2: like wide awake. So I go and lay on the
- 1:26Speaker 2: couch because I didn't want to wake up Hailey.
- 1:27Speaker 3: And I was like, you know, I'm just gonna put
- 1:30Speaker 3: Grays on sleep.
- 1:33Speaker 1: You know, it's.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Familiar if I've all sleeping and I really miss anything.
- 1:37Speaker 2: So I put it on and I quite enjoyed the episode.
- 1:40Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, I'm not like, oh my gosh,
- 1:43Speaker 2: I'm enthralled, but I was entertained enough that I watched
- 1:47Speaker 2: the next episode.
- 1:48Speaker 1: The other day, my wife said to me, I was
- 1:51Speaker 1: watching Grace. She came in the room. You're watching Grassy, yeah,
- 1:54Speaker 1: she said I, And I said it's not great. She goes,
- 1:56Speaker 1: so why are you still watching it? And she's it's
- 1:59Speaker 1: a very good point. But I feel like, I don't know,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I get comfort from these characters I've known for so long.
- 2:06Speaker 1: There's something about the hospital. I don't know what it is.
- 2:08Speaker 4: We watched the old episodes again, because.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I would never do that. That's not my personality. Though,
- 2:12Speaker 1: just to rewatch old.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Stuff incredible, But you know what I was thinking about
- 2:18Speaker 2: that really upset me in my rage on the couch.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Why are they like it's so obvious that they're filming
- 2:27Speaker 2: in La. It's always sunny in these coffee stops, out
- 2:30Speaker 2: the coffee trailers out outside of the hospital, which they
- 2:33Speaker 2: recently introduce, and they're supposed to be in gloomy Seattle,
- 2:37Speaker 2: and it's like a beautiful sunny day every day.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I mean, that's the least of my complaints about the show,
- 2:44Speaker 1: all right.
- 2:44Speaker 2: So I saw that there was a new love interest
- 2:48Speaker 2: for Amelia, and I felt like they had a lot
- 2:51Speaker 2: of chemistry and the like teaser I saw, so I
- 2:53Speaker 2: was like, this could get me back into it, a
- 2:55Speaker 2: good relationship with chemistry because we even had that in
- 2:58Speaker 2: a minute.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Yes, but it's so okay. So she and the new
- 3:02Speaker 1: doctor they hook up in the on call room and
- 3:05Speaker 1: she just happened quick, yeah, very quickly. Do you want
- 3:08Speaker 1: to go on a date tomorrow? And she goes, Oh,
- 3:11Speaker 1: I would, but I have my son, my sun rise
- 3:14Speaker 1: yoga hike. Yeah, my sun Rise hike. That's what I
- 3:17Speaker 1: meant when I said son. Yeah, who's writing this show?
- 3:23Speaker 1: But I think I hate watching at this point. I've
- 3:26Speaker 1: never been a hate watcher, but I think I've actually
- 3:28Speaker 1: turned the corner.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Oh, so sad, I give.
- 3:31Speaker 3: To quite a few episodes before I just put this
- 3:33Speaker 3: one on.
- 3:33Speaker 2: So I was like, I think I'll catch up quick
- 3:35Speaker 2: based on how the seasons have gone recently and from
- 3:39Speaker 2: what I've seen, Teddy needs to sign the divorce papers.
- 3:42Speaker 2: We're still dragging out this divorce, but she needs to
- 3:44Speaker 2: sign the divorce papers.
- 3:45Speaker 3: But every time she's going to do.
- 3:46Speaker 4: It talking about divorce.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Last time I wted well, guess what it's still going on.
- 3:56Speaker 2: They have this conversation and he's encouraging her for this
- 3:59Speaker 2: big surgery she's doing, and then she has to do
- 4:01Speaker 2: it and he needs to watch the kids or whatever.
- 4:03Speaker 2: So she gets home and she's like, thanks for watching
- 4:04Speaker 2: the kids and thanks for you know, supporting me, even
- 4:07Speaker 2: though I was like, rude to you.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Give me hook up.
- 4:11Speaker 3: They start making out and I'm like, I'm done that.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I don't gut. They have to the producers that you
- 4:18Speaker 1: have to know we're not big fans of those two together,
- 4:21Speaker 1: So why you had an out? It was over, they
- 4:24Speaker 1: split up, and now you're gonna put him together again.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I'm not interested.
- 4:28Speaker 3: I'm bored.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I'm way more interested in Teddy Altman and Sophia Bush
- 4:34Speaker 1: much more interesting.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Give me that and give me this w l W show.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Will be good, and no one can go date whoever
- 4:46Speaker 1: he wants to date.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I don't care he can go.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Dis Switzerland and I would watch that from my girl Sandra.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I'd be back. I'd lock in locked and
- 5:01Speaker 3: then Joe and Link. I'm just so irritating.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Link as a secret man cave. It's a house that
- 5:08Speaker 1: he rents out and nobody's living there right now, so
- 5:11Speaker 1: he goes there to escape from the tzin the Twins, and.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Joe's at home just like almost died and is watching
- 5:18Speaker 2: the kids and he's in his man.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Cave with beers and his guitar.
- 5:23Speaker 3: It's as bad as it sounds.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I need Camilla to come on and I just need
- 5:28Speaker 2: to ask, like, what's happening?
- 5:30Speaker 3: What happened YI?
- 5:33Speaker 2: Anyway, So that's a little bit about where I'm at.
- 5:36Speaker 2: And I got a crick in my neck from sleeping
- 5:37Speaker 2: on the cap. I got punished for watching Grays.
- 5:42Speaker 4: You know what they don't tell you about aging, the
- 5:44Speaker 4: crick the creiks and the cracks and the crinkles.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. People didn't know what a creek was.
- 5:51Speaker 3: They were like, I call it a king.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Different parts of the country have different words for that.
- 5:55Speaker 2: We've just always called it a crick and it's I
- 5:57Speaker 2: cannot look to my this side really hurt. This side
- 6:01Speaker 2: is tender.
- 6:02Speaker 4: When we came back from the Bahamas, my lower back
- 6:04Speaker 4: was hurting from like just laying down I guess, or
- 6:07Speaker 4: just like sitting down for so long. And because I
- 6:10Speaker 4: don't know when I when we flew there, I was
- 6:12Speaker 4: like sleeping on the chairs of the airport, so like
- 6:14Speaker 4: my back was like it just was not good. And
- 6:19Speaker 4: somebody was telling me, They're like, yeah, every morning when
- 6:21Speaker 4: I wake up, I stretch. I was like, well, who
- 6:24Speaker 4: started doing that? And when do you start doing that?
- 6:26Speaker 5: Because nobody told me this, but you don't stretch anyway?
- 6:29Speaker 1: Up never feels I know that's true.
- 6:33Speaker 4: I know, but you know what, I started doing the
- 6:36Speaker 4: vibration plate that like everybody.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Was posting about.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Do you like it messed up my back? Sure enough?
- 6:41Speaker 4: I text my chiropractor, Hey, doctor J, like, my lower
- 6:46Speaker 4: back's been like acting up. He's like, did you make
- 6:48Speaker 4: any changes, like when you're doing the vibration ration play
- 6:51Speaker 4: every morning? He goes, yeah, it's not great for the
- 6:53Speaker 4: disks in your back. Who told me that? Nobody on TikTok.
- 6:57Speaker 4: I just slipped right out dis right when it's laden.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Nobody's telling me that on TikTok. They're just showing me
- 7:05Speaker 4: all the benefits of your lymphatic system and the high
- 7:08Speaker 4: you get from it. But nobody's telling you about the
- 7:10Speaker 4: back pains I come along.
- 7:12Speaker 3: I haven't mentioned those. The spoiler alert.
- 7:14Speaker 4: If you are interested in getting one of those vibration plates,
- 7:17Speaker 4: make sure your back is in good shape.
- 7:19Speaker 3: It's not. Actually, yeah, I have a crick a kink.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a pain where you can't look right or
- 7:27Speaker 2: left comfortably.
- 7:28Speaker 3: And that's what you need day rex, the whole day.
- 7:33Speaker 2: So anyways, Yeah, the creeks and the cracks do be coming.
- 7:36Speaker 2: They hit you, yark, And I'm sorry if you're uthaful
- 7:39Speaker 2: and not experiencing this listening to this, but it does.
- 7:42Speaker 3: I always hit you fast.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I always thought when people talked about this, I was like,
- 7:45Speaker 2: oh my gosh, like people just need to like stretch
- 7:48Speaker 2: and work out and they don't need just you won't
- 7:51Speaker 2: have those issues, but you do.
- 7:55Speaker 3: You stretch, I don't do anything, So of course I
- 7:58Speaker 3: have issues, But you have issues. You don't, I know,
- 8:02Speaker 3: Haley can't.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Did you see the video of Haley trying to reach
- 8:05Speaker 2: her hold her feet.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I was peeing my pants watching that
- 8:10Speaker 4: and I didn't even have sound on.
- 8:13Speaker 3: This sounds actually really fun.
- 8:14Speaker 4: I need to go back and listen to a sound.
- 8:16Speaker 2: She had scoliosis as a as a child and had
- 8:19Speaker 2: to wear a back brace, so her back is already
- 8:22Speaker 2: just like not great. But I was like, we need
- 8:23Speaker 2: to tap into some yoga moves or something.
- 8:26Speaker 3: This is this is serious.
- 8:27Speaker 4: It was tight.
- 8:28Speaker 3: When she went to.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Bend down, her knee cracks so loud. It was like, damn,
- 8:33Speaker 2: this is Startnald.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Tom he wants to try that with me?
- 8:36Speaker 3: By the way, y'all could do it, Oh definitely.
- 8:39Speaker 2: But we tried to do one where I was on
- 8:41Speaker 2: the bottom of shoes lifting me and it does hurt.
- 8:44Speaker 3: You gotta lock in your everything.
- 8:46Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Those girls made it look too easy.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, we have a quick transition. So, uh, who
- 8:53Speaker 4: you gonna call with the question on? Yeah, I have
- 8:59Speaker 4: an idea, dear Bonya nice.
- 9:03Speaker 5: I don't want to bully you're the jingle thing too much,
- 9:05Speaker 5: but what about doing this? Have we discussed a little.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Paging doctor Tillian, doctor Redd.
- 9:11Speaker 2: They did say they missed that stuff more than the jingle.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Well, we could make that our new thing, but we.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Don't need to be doctor Tilly and doctor Ratt.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Correct.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Yeah, you haven't earned that yet.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Sorry, we actually lost that. Yeah we lost it. Yeah, okay,
- 9:27Speaker 3: but we are going to do Dear Bonia, so shall
- 9:30Speaker 3: we just kick it right off?
- 9:31Speaker 1: Here we go from anonymous Dear Banya and Mesten. I'm
- 9:34Speaker 1: a thirty one year old single, independent woman looking for
- 9:37Speaker 1: my future husband. I finally decided to give a guy
- 9:39Speaker 1: at the gym a chance when on a first date.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Am I being too picky? That is her question? Am
- 9:44Speaker 1: I being too picky? He's twenty five? All right, she's
- 9:48Speaker 1: thirty one. And as we talked on our date, he
- 9:50Speaker 1: asked me a lot of insightful questions to which I
- 9:52Speaker 1: would give thoughtful, deep answers to. When I flipped the
- 9:56Speaker 1: question back on him, he had nothing. He gets up,
- 9:59Speaker 1: he goes to the gym, goes to work, he goes
- 10:00Speaker 1: to bed. He has no hobbies, he has no friends.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I think he hates that I have a dog. Am
- 10:05Speaker 1: I wrong for one? To write him off?
- 10:07Speaker 2: Or?
- 10:07Speaker 1: Do I give him another chance? Two years ago, I
- 10:09Speaker 1: under a three year situationship and have been spending a
- 10:11Speaker 1: lot of time creating the best version of myself. I
- 10:14Speaker 1: don't want to have someone cling on to me because
- 10:16Speaker 1: I have a life and he doesn't. I want a
- 10:18Speaker 1: partner who's going to grow with me, but also has
- 10:20Speaker 1: their own hobbies and interests that excite them. As I
- 10:23Speaker 1: heard someone say recently, my husband is not the most
- 10:26Speaker 1: exciting thing about me, and I believe this. So what
- 10:29Speaker 1: do I do? Longtime listener, looking forward to hearing your
- 10:32Speaker 1: advice from a hopeless romantic looking for her forever.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Well, hobbies are overrated.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, No way, no way.
- 10:41Speaker 4: What hobbies do you have?
- 10:43Speaker 3: I don't care about mine?
- 10:44Speaker 4: Well, exactly, No, this is a point.
- 10:47Speaker 3: No, No, I has hobbies, I have friends.
- 10:50Speaker 4: I like to travel, I love to go eat, I
- 10:52Speaker 4: get some friends.
- 10:53Speaker 2: No, I think he's gonna be I get what she's saying.
- 10:56Speaker 2: He's going to cling on to her and everything will
- 10:58Speaker 2: be what she likes. She wants some one who has
- 11:00Speaker 2: their own life, like I love doing everything with Haley,
- 11:04Speaker 2: and I am totally independent to do whatever I want
- 11:07Speaker 2: by myself, And you want to meet someone who is
- 11:12Speaker 2: independent in that regard.
- 11:13Speaker 4: I'm just saying not having hobbies does not make him
- 11:18Speaker 4: not have his own life.
- 11:19Speaker 3: But you want to be able to have a conversation.
- 11:20Speaker 4: She's a sentence when she said what he does in
- 11:24Speaker 4: his day? Where was that mark?
- 11:25Speaker 3: He has no hobbies, doesn't go out with friends, et cetera.
- 11:27Speaker 1: He goes to the gym, he goes to work, he
- 11:30Speaker 1: goes to bed.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Sounds like my day and I love me and she
- 11:34Speaker 4: thinks he low key. I think I'm a great partner.
- 11:38Speaker 4: That literally exactly me, But that sentence is me. I
- 11:42Speaker 4: get up, you go to ares, I go home, I
- 11:44Speaker 4: make my egg pods, and I go to bed like.
- 11:46Speaker 2: That's my day, But that wasn't your day when you
- 11:49Speaker 2: were dating you?
- 11:51Speaker 4: Why I cleaned my makeup brushes on Friday night? I
- 11:54Speaker 4: was not much cooler when I was single. Like, I
- 11:57Speaker 4: think you got to give this guy.
- 11:59Speaker 3: She's cool. Sounds she's cooler than you. Sounds like she's
- 12:03Speaker 3: got a lot more going on.
- 12:04Speaker 1: See, but here's I feel like she's trying to find
- 12:07Speaker 1: negatives about this guy's thing about it because you can
- 12:09Speaker 1: twist these. He goes to the gym, crazyself. That's good,
- 12:13Speaker 1: works ten to seven every day. That's commitment. He's a
- 12:15Speaker 1: provider's his career for the job.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Do you know many people want people with jobs? Continue Mark,
- 12:21Speaker 4: who doesn't go out with his friends.
- 12:22Speaker 1: You don't want an alcoholic always out there partying, going.
- 12:28Speaker 4: The friends always sway.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Guys, guy friends are the worst.
- 12:34Speaker 3: This is terrible advice.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I say, girl, find someone that you want to have,
- 12:38Speaker 2: that can have it on the first few days at least,
- 12:41Speaker 2: pretend to have interesting conversations and deep answers. You want
- 12:47Speaker 2: any low he hates your dog, red flag immediately get out.
- 12:51Speaker 1: The deep answers thing would be nice if you can
- 12:54Speaker 1: carry on a decent conversation. But he had insightful questions.
- 12:57Speaker 1: That's positive.
- 12:58Speaker 4: And he's twenty five. A couple of years is an oof.
- 13:00Speaker 4: It's gonna ripen up real nice.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Does he go to bed at seven? When he gets home? Like,
- 13:04Speaker 5: I'm so curious what he's doing between work and bed.
- 13:06Speaker 1: That's probably like.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Meal prepping and like showering and watching a little Paradise.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Boring.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I'm yeah, I say move on. Being too picky is okay?
- 13:21Speaker 1: You know I agree with that. But is he super hot?
- 13:24Speaker 1: Like maybe that's an element year She doesn't mention that,
- 13:26Speaker 1: but maybe he's younger.
- 13:28Speaker 4: He's going to bring a youthful spirit when he's when
- 13:30Speaker 4: he's thirty, you're gonna be I can do this.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Six He has no friends. He has no friends at
- 13:37Speaker 2: twenty five when he should. This should be where he's thriving.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I think give him a few more dates.
- 13:43Speaker 3: I do too.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Okay, car from Love is from Love Island what nobody
- 13:50Speaker 4: understands them on?
- 13:52Speaker 1: All right, the next one, we're going to tease. It's
- 13:54Speaker 1: about friendship boundaries. Oh boy, something you guys said in
- 13:59Speaker 1: the Bahamas made think about her friends and her boundaries,
- 14:01Speaker 1: and we're gonna get into that. We're gonna dig deep.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Coming up right after this, how about about Oh I'm
- 14:30Speaker 1: not sure who won that one? That was like the
- 14:31Speaker 1: La Marathon right there?
- 14:33Speaker 4: Oh yeah, so crazy and so crazy.
- 14:36Speaker 1: All right, this is from ray she listened to the
- 14:40Speaker 1: tube changes everything. The second episode from Baja mar And
- 14:43Speaker 1: there's a question about friends and boundaries. Quick story, quick question.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I'm a thirty eight year old first time mom and
- 14:49Speaker 1: I had a friend who left my literal baby announcement
- 14:52Speaker 1: on red. She could have just hearted the photo, give
- 14:56Speaker 1: me a little bread crumb of friendship, but no acknowledgement whatsoever.
- 15:00Speaker 1: My baby is now eight weeks old and I still
- 15:02Speaker 1: haven't heard from her. Where's the line where we have
- 15:06Speaker 1: to give grace to our friends, knowing they may struggle
- 15:08Speaker 1: with be overwhelmed by time blindness, decision fatigued, while also
- 15:12Speaker 1: respecting yourself. You deserve to have friends to show up
- 15:14Speaker 1: for you and want to make you feel loved and
- 15:16Speaker 1: that your news matters. Would love to hear any thoughts
- 15:18Speaker 1: or advice you have when it comes to navigating texting
- 15:20Speaker 1: relationships with friends. Love you, guys from Ray.
- 15:24Speaker 2: I am offended that I'm being compared to the eye
- 15:27Speaker 2: am inspiring the thought process of the friend who didn't
- 15:31Speaker 2: even acknowledge the baby announcement.
- 15:38Speaker 3: You know, I, even though I read a lot, you
- 15:43Speaker 3: are left on red a lot, but not for important things.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I think Tiny's definition of important things is different than yours.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's timeline, and I guarantee if I did a
- 15:52Speaker 2: poll on what important things or we know where.
- 15:55Speaker 4: There's a fine line.
- 15:57Speaker 2: But I would never leave you on red for a
- 16:00Speaker 2: baby announcement or a big life event as such. If
- 16:04Speaker 2: you go, guess what and I don't respond because I
- 16:07Speaker 2: know you'll go.
- 16:07Speaker 3: When you're something crazy. I knew my period was coming
- 16:13Speaker 3: this month, and it came. It came on the day
- 16:18Speaker 3: that I was feeling that story. Okay, very impressing anyway,
- 16:25Speaker 3: like leaving you on.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Red for that is fair saying I could see you
- 16:29Speaker 4: leaving me on red for like saying I'm pregnant or
- 16:33Speaker 4: something that is such a.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Bull and you're just trying to get me fired up.
- 16:41Speaker 4: No, because if I said it in like that way,
- 16:43Speaker 4: if I said, like a guess what, and then you
- 16:45Speaker 4: would just like leave me hanging there, and then I
- 16:47Speaker 4: would never pay it off because you would never ask
- 16:49Speaker 4: me what.
- 16:49Speaker 2: You would never give me a guess what for a
- 16:52Speaker 2: pregnancy announcement.
- 16:53Speaker 3: You never know, And don't take advantage of me.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Don't be boy who cried wolf, because if you keep
- 16:58Speaker 2: going guess what, guess what, and I keep answering and
- 17:00Speaker 2: it's still period things, it is going to get left
- 17:04Speaker 2: on red because you took advantage of my curiosity.
- 17:08Speaker 4: All I'm saying is Ray, I understand you.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Oh my god, ray, this this is not her friend.
- 17:15Speaker 2: And whether if you want to know why she's not
- 17:18Speaker 2: responsive or say like, hey, I don't know if you
- 17:21Speaker 2: have things going on in your life, but it hurt
- 17:23Speaker 2: my feelings that I, you know, told you something that's
- 17:28Speaker 2: so exciting and meaningful and you didn't respond. I think
- 17:31Speaker 2: that's a valid conversation to have. And if she doesn't
- 17:34Speaker 2: respond to that, then it's time to say friends for
- 17:38Speaker 2: a season and a reason.
- 17:40Speaker 3: What are you smiling about?
- 17:42Speaker 4: There's two paths you can take with my God. The
- 17:44Speaker 4: one beca is saying where you can head on, hey, like,
- 17:49Speaker 4: have a conversationalization, which I have done with you before.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Yes, and it works. Yes.
- 17:54Speaker 4: However, passive aggressiveness also works, Tonya.
- 17:57Speaker 3: This is a bad habit that you don't need to
- 18:01Speaker 3: give advice on it to share on.
- 18:04Speaker 2: You need to work through it yourself, and we don't
- 18:06Speaker 2: need other people to be.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Being passive aggressive.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Sometimes it works so aggressive, I don't know, because she's
- 18:13Speaker 4: not really giving you much to work with here. So
- 18:17Speaker 4: sometimes when Becca's being silent, I'll give her the silent
- 18:19Speaker 4: treatment back.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Unfortunately, it doesn't do anything for me. I just I
- 18:24Speaker 2: just know, and I'm like, oh, she's mad, all right,
- 18:27Speaker 2: I have to get in her good graces again.
- 18:29Speaker 4: And then and then we suddenly end up at dinner.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Yeah, so it works.
- 18:33Speaker 4: All I'm saying. Ray two paths.
- 18:35Speaker 2: I think you have a conversation. Let her know that
- 18:38Speaker 2: that hurt your feelings and that you can understand that
- 18:40Speaker 2: she has things going on, but for big life events,
- 18:43Speaker 2: you know you want her to be excited and.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Maybe send it again double text, riple text, who cares?
- 18:48Speaker 1: Or just move on? Can just move on?
- 18:50Speaker 4: Well, if it's a really good friend, my best friend.
- 18:53Speaker 1: How good a friend is this? If she ignores your
- 18:55Speaker 1: birth announcement, live your life?
- 18:58Speaker 4: What is a birth announcement?
- 18:59Speaker 3: I think saying I'm pregnant, showing a photo.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Of your baby on the message.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Yeah, look I had my baby. Imagine you sent me
- 19:08Speaker 3: I had my baby. Imagine I wouldn't know.
- 19:11Speaker 4: You're taking pictures in the room.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Yeah we can't relate because I'll be in the room
- 19:20Speaker 2: my baby out.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Okay, wes that?
- 19:25Speaker 2: But Ray, I think a true she's not a true friend,
- 19:29Speaker 2: and I think, GUF, she's someone you need that you
- 19:31Speaker 2: really want your life, then you have a conversation. If
- 19:33Speaker 2: she's someone that you're okay not having in your life,
- 19:36Speaker 2: you move on.
- 19:38Speaker 3: That's my advice. You deserve. We're so happy for Send
- 19:42Speaker 3: us a photo of the baby.
- 19:42Speaker 4: I want to see a baby eight week old baby.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Oh so good? Yeah, send her over him.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Her they the boy girl didn't say Jazzy, says Hi,
- 19:54Speaker 1: Becca Easton, Tanya and Mark? Could you have Easton all right?
- 19:59Speaker 1: I'm meaning to I didn't ask this question that pops
- 20:01Speaker 1: in my mind. I started listening to the podcast after
- 20:03Speaker 1: the official Becca and Haley relationship reveal. I've listened to
- 20:06Speaker 1: most episodes since then, have occasionally listened to older episodes.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Did I miss the conversation about when Mark and Easton
- 20:12Speaker 1: found out about Becca and Haley dating and what their
- 20:14Speaker 1: reaction was Listening to some mentions of Haley before the
- 20:18Speaker 1: ninety five p nickname from some of the eighteen nineteen episodes,
- 20:21Speaker 1: They say or ask things that make me think they
- 20:23Speaker 1: didn't know. Also, after listening to the recent episode, Rebecca
- 20:27Speaker 1: casually mentions Haley's mom being a figure skating choreographer. Trailblazer
- 20:32Speaker 1: icon Z Sarah Kawahara is an O G modern woman.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Can we get her on the pod? She's a legend.
- 20:40Speaker 1: We'd love to hear her thoughts on the American skaters
- 20:42Speaker 1: and all her personal career accomplishments. PS. It was me
- 20:46Speaker 1: asking if we were getting trolled about the jingle ha
- 20:48Speaker 1: ha ha. Love you guys. Maybe it's time to phone
- 20:51Speaker 1: a friend or fiance. Love the podcast. Thanks for being
- 20:54Speaker 1: so gracious and positive with the feedback you get from listeners.
- 20:56Speaker 1: We want the podcast to be as impactful in the
- 20:58Speaker 1: podcast world as it is to scrubbers. Thank you guys.
- 21:01Speaker 2: That's so nice. Yeah, Haley's mom is a legend. She's
- 21:05Speaker 2: like if you mentioned her in the ice skating world,
- 21:07Speaker 2: everyone knows her.
- 21:08Speaker 3: It's pretty crazy and it's really cool.
- 21:10Speaker 2: It was fun because, like we watch a lot of
- 21:12Speaker 2: the Winter Olympics ice skating and it was fun to
- 21:15Speaker 2: like watch.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Them with her and hear her opinions on everything. I
- 21:17Speaker 3: try to get her on.
- 21:18Speaker 4: The plus see if she's available for the podcater on
- 21:20Speaker 4: the schedule, get on the books.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Yeah wait, I feel like y'all knew quite early on
- 21:26Speaker 2: about me and Haley.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:29Speaker 5: My favorite moment from that was if you go back
- 21:32Speaker 5: and listen to this was so early. It was just
- 21:35Speaker 5: you and I and we're interviewing the people from the sandlot.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I remember that.
- 21:42Speaker 5: Yeah, it was a lot of fun. But you had
- 21:44Speaker 5: gone on tour with Haley at that point, uh huh,
- 21:47Speaker 5: and you were telling and you're like, yeah, I got
- 21:49Speaker 5: to sleep on the bus. It was so cool, and
- 21:50Speaker 5: I was like, wow, how cool. What a good friend
- 21:52Speaker 5: to have. And I had no idea.
- 21:57Speaker 3: I wonder when that was. That must have been like
- 21:59Speaker 3: really early, because in my mind, I felt like y'all
- 22:01Speaker 3: knew within the first few months.
- 22:02Speaker 1: I remember a stretch of knowing you were dating someone
- 22:05Speaker 1: but not knowing who. I don't remember that happening, but
- 22:07Speaker 1: maybe it did.
- 22:08Speaker 4: Oh you always know, was Haley.
- 22:09Speaker 3: That's I'm saying. I don't think I was ever dating
- 22:12Speaker 3: someone Like.
- 22:13Speaker 2: I don't think I ever talked about dating someone without
- 22:16Speaker 2: y'all knowing that who It was.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Right, because we kind of had to know so we
- 22:19Speaker 1: could avoid pronouns.
- 22:20Speaker 4: And that was the biggest challenge Ricky as.
- 22:24Speaker 3: We did it for years, almost four years.
- 22:27Speaker 5: So it was June twenty eighteen, was that Sandlot?
- 22:30Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I feel like y'all may have found out in like July,
- 22:37Speaker 2: because that was when she performed with Taylor Swift and.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I came home from it and I think I was
- 22:46Speaker 3: I don't know, I was upset about something and I
- 22:48Speaker 3: feel like I.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Told y'all about it because I remember crying and I
- 22:50Speaker 2: was like I was like having a hard time, and
- 22:53Speaker 2: I was. I think I told y'all about it that time,
- 22:56Speaker 2: so I feel like from twenty eighteen y'all knew.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like when you were telling people, you
- 23:03Speaker 4: were telling people it.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Was bad reaction.
- 23:05Speaker 2: So I think I would come in as like comfort
- 23:08Speaker 2: from y'all. Like I think I told y'all like knowing
- 23:11Speaker 2: that y'all were going to be supportive, and so it
- 23:13Speaker 2: was like a comfort to tell y'all. I never felt
- 23:15Speaker 2: like the people that were consistently in my life had
- 23:19Speaker 2: I hid it from anyone. I don't know what I'm
- 23:20Speaker 2: saying either, but yeah, we did the pronoun thing for
- 23:24Speaker 2: long years.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Yeah, you gotta be careful because by avoiding the pronoun,
- 23:27Speaker 1: you can draw attention to the fact that you're avoiding
- 23:29Speaker 1: a pronoun to I just have to be so careful.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Every story I.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Told I was like restructuring the sentence you.
- 23:38Speaker 4: Any time I asked you anything, it was like, I
- 23:40Speaker 4: was that was hard on my brain.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Yeah, honestly, everyone.
- 23:45Speaker 4: That for four years.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we'd do it for ninety five p didn't
- 23:51Speaker 2: it start till twenty twenty, which is when we did
- 23:54Speaker 2: the live show.
- 23:55Speaker 4: And then we just started calling Haley ninety five p Yeah, which.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Was the first time we kind of started talking about it.
- 24:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I remember, yeah that he I'm just looking back
- 24:04Speaker 5: at my notes. I have notes from August thirty first,
- 24:05Speaker 5: twenty twenty, and there's like five different pronoun moments and
- 24:08Speaker 5: then part like, Jesus is this is so hardout pronounce.
- 24:14Speaker 1: It was?
- 24:14Speaker 3: It was a challenge. So I really thank y'all for that.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think you we also want the podcast
- 24:23Speaker 2: to be as impactful in the podcast the world.
- 24:25Speaker 3: As it is to you all. Yes, we just hear
- 24:27Speaker 3: about y'all, so we want you all to be happy.
- 24:32Speaker 3: That's this. It's just funny that this whole dear Bonia
- 24:35Speaker 3: thing that I started the episode saying, like they don't
- 24:38Speaker 3: want from the script.
- 24:41Speaker 4: It's a real three sixty for Jazzy.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Yeah, Jazzy, I hear you and I see you. Okay.
- 24:50Speaker 2: I like this question about bot mitzvah questions because I
- 24:53Speaker 2: don't know much about I'm learning through you.
- 24:55Speaker 4: Yeah, you just found out what Shabbat was, which was, yeah,
- 24:59Speaker 4: so interesting.
- 25:00Speaker 2: So it's crazy because I grew up in the South obviously,
- 25:04Speaker 2: and I was not surrounded by many Jewish people at all,
- 25:06Speaker 2: so I know nothing about like I really only knew
- 25:09Speaker 2: about my beliefs and my culture.
- 25:12Speaker 3: And like that was it.
- 25:14Speaker 2: So then when I moved out here, I started meeting
- 25:17Speaker 2: people obviously from like all different walks of life and
- 25:20Speaker 2: beliefs and cultures. And then Haley and I were talking
- 25:23Speaker 2: about it, and She's like, almost all my friends growing.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Up were Jewish.
- 25:26Speaker 2: So I went to all the bar mitzvahs and bot mitzvahs,
- 25:29Speaker 2: and like, she knows everything in the Jewish culture.
- 25:31Speaker 3: So I feel like I'm like learning.
- 25:33Speaker 4: Like you I grew up. I mean, I guess where
- 25:36Speaker 4: I grew up in Orange County. I didn't really grow
- 25:38Speaker 4: up with many Jewish people at my high school. Yeah,
- 25:41Speaker 4: so I never went to a bought mitzvah until recently
- 25:45Speaker 4: as an adult.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Well, I Wisconsin. I grew up in Monona, Wisconsin, and no,
- 25:52Speaker 1: not only were they no Jewish people, like I heard
- 25:54Speaker 1: about Jewish people, but it seemed like this far away
- 25:57Speaker 1: things like interact with Jewish people. Well, that's like the
- 26:00Speaker 1: other side of the world thing. And then I went
- 26:02Speaker 1: to college in Madison, which is literally eight miles from Monona,
- 26:06Speaker 1: and a huge population of the University of Wisconsin is
- 26:09Speaker 1: Jewish and that that was my education. That's when I
- 26:11Speaker 1: learned I can count to tend in Hebrew. I learned
- 26:17Speaker 1: very much. No, thanks to my friend Josh.
- 26:20Speaker 4: You best believe I'm going to be going to a
- 26:22Speaker 4: little taking some lessons with a rabbi.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I just love it. I love like I love this.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Email from the scrubber because I love people wanting to
- 26:34Speaker 2: expose their kids to other religions and cultures, because the
- 26:39Speaker 2: world makes up so many different belief systems, and it's
- 26:43Speaker 2: like to only know or like learn about your own
- 26:46Speaker 2: is so limiting for yourself.
- 26:48Speaker 3: So I love that. Well, you can go ahead and
- 26:50Speaker 3: read that.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Sure. Thank you so much, Kristin, Banya and Marston on
- 26:54Speaker 1: this one, thank you so much. This is more of
- 26:56Speaker 1: a fun question for Tanya. My son's invited to a
- 26:58Speaker 1: bought mitzvah. I'm so excited I did for him to
- 27:00Speaker 1: be exposed to other religions and traditions, but we have
- 27:02Speaker 1: never been to anything like this. Instead of asking shat GPT,
- 27:06Speaker 1: I was hoping Ton you could give me some tips.
- 27:07Speaker 1: What does you wear? What kind of a gift does
- 27:09Speaker 1: he give to her? What is the evening like? Any
- 27:11Speaker 1: info you give can be helpful. Thank you so much.
- 27:14Speaker 1: It's Kristin.
- 27:15Speaker 4: So I wouldn't consider myself an expert considering I'm rk.
- 27:19Speaker 4: You might know more considering I've only been to a handful,
- 27:23Speaker 4: but i'd say what your son should wear. I think
- 27:27Speaker 4: most of the kids I see they wear like buttoned
- 27:30Speaker 4: downs and slacks and like, you know, maybe sneakers or
- 27:32Speaker 4: nice shoes, like more, you know, a little more dressed up.
- 27:36Speaker 4: In terms of a gift, we always just give like cash,
- 27:40Speaker 4: I think is that and like a little bit more
- 27:43Speaker 4: than you would give than like a birthday gift, you
- 27:46Speaker 4: know what I mean, like a little bit more than
- 27:47Speaker 4: you would give for like a gift, because this is
- 27:49Speaker 4: like the big birthday, you know, and then uh, what
- 27:56Speaker 4: is the evening? Like it could be? I mean I've
- 28:00Speaker 4: been to some that are like near pond and water,
- 28:05Speaker 4: and then I've been to some that are like dance
- 28:07Speaker 4: parties like glow sticks and like the people that are
- 28:10Speaker 4: you know, like like total just dance parties. Yeah, so
- 28:13Speaker 4: I don't really know. I mean I think it just
- 28:15Speaker 4: depends on like the family.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's all it's a party, right, It's not
- 28:19Speaker 2: like serious. Once you get to the party.
- 28:21Speaker 4: There's like a ceremony portion and then there's like a
- 28:23Speaker 4: party portion. Yeah, kind of like a wedding. Oh, like
- 28:26Speaker 4: that's the reception kind of.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:28Speaker 4: And they're often as expensive as a wedding too, Yeah,
- 28:31Speaker 4: depending on like some like some can be like very.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Big, big deal big deals. But I think the over
- 28:37Speaker 1: arching concept of this conversation we're having is it is
- 28:40Speaker 1: great to learn about these other cultures because that's the
- 28:42Speaker 1: issues of the world in a nutshell. In my opinion
- 28:45Speaker 1: is that you know, when I was growing up, people
- 28:48Speaker 1: don't there are people who don't celebrate Christmas. That was
- 28:51Speaker 1: so weird to me. And that's weird. Those people are weird,
- 28:54Speaker 1: and then you meet them, like, oh, they're people like me,
- 28:56Speaker 1: and we all like similar things and we're all similar ale.
- 28:59Speaker 4: Yeah, And you know what's actually I didn't know much
- 29:01Speaker 4: about like the Jewish holidays, and like they're very like
- 29:07Speaker 4: there's some that are so meaningful and sweet and they're
- 29:09Speaker 4: all about like just like bringing your family together at
- 29:11Speaker 4: the end of the day, you know. So I really
- 29:13Speaker 4: I love the Jewish holidays.
- 29:14Speaker 2: That's what I was gonna say. A lot of it
- 29:16Speaker 2: when I've asked Tanya about it. It's like, it's about
- 29:19Speaker 2: togetherness and being together with your family and the people
- 29:22Speaker 2: you love.
- 29:23Speaker 3: And I'm like, how it's beautiful.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, I love I love people exposing it's
- 29:28Speaker 2: it's it's a It only benefits your child to expose
- 29:31Speaker 2: them to more, otherwise they grow up like me, and
- 29:34Speaker 2: they're like.
- 29:35Speaker 3: What, all right? Shall we finish the episode?
- 29:46Speaker 1: I think we should take a break and notice on
- 29:55Speaker 1: the birthday game. I'm on it. Let's do it.
- 29:58Speaker 6: Coming up next, we're back, no competition, none.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Before we get to the birthday game, the celebrity whatever
- 30:27Speaker 1: birthday game, Anika says, Dear Becca, Tanya, Mark, and Easton.
- 30:30Speaker 1: I thought you'd find this funny. On Valentine's Day, my
- 30:32Speaker 1: boyfriend and I worked together. He drove me up to
- 30:35Speaker 1: Tahoe to skew with my cousin and he hiked around
- 30:37Speaker 1: there with his brother. We said Happy Valentine's Day, but
- 30:40Speaker 1: that was it. No cars, no present, no nothing. We've
- 30:42Speaker 1: been together for five years. We have the best relationship.
- 30:44Speaker 1: He's very kind and thoughtful and sweet. Flash forward to
- 30:47Speaker 1: me listening to the podcast when you guys were talking
- 30:48Speaker 1: about that, even a card or flowers, it's all that's needed.
- 30:51Speaker 1: I was folding laundry and he came in and he
- 30:53Speaker 1: was listening as well. Easton said the guys should do
- 30:56Speaker 1: something at the bare minimum. My boy headford really bad
- 30:59Speaker 1: and said, did you play this for me? And we
- 31:01Speaker 1: were both cracking out. The next day, I came home
- 31:04Speaker 1: with it to a card, a full weekend of plans
- 31:06Speaker 1: for a late Valentine's Day weekend. Thank you all for
- 31:09Speaker 1: the little push. Love you guys, And I'm a day
- 31:11Speaker 1: one scrubber. You might remember me. I was the one
- 31:14Speaker 1: who wrote in early who wrote in early on asking
- 31:16Speaker 1: you to harmonize for Becca, back when you were the
- 31:21Speaker 1: code for every commercial.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Wow, I'm still it should be scrubbing.
- 31:28Speaker 1: It's scrubbing.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Yeah, we love that. I love that. I just want
- 31:33Speaker 3: to give her an a plug.
- 31:36Speaker 4: But I'd also like to point out that she said
- 31:38Speaker 4: he did nothing for her originally. I know she's still happy.
- 31:41Speaker 3: She is happy, but she said thanks for the push,
- 31:44Speaker 3: which means she she did want it deep down, just
- 31:48Speaker 3: saying Tonya's still hanging She's rolling down, but she's hanging on. Wait. Okay.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Also, the last the cat the girl that had the
- 31:59Speaker 2: scary cats into photo and it is the cutest I know.
- 32:02Speaker 4: It's sow.
- 32:03Speaker 3: It looks like the cat from a Shrek.
- 32:07Speaker 5: Ess.
- 32:09Speaker 3: There's no evil, I know.
- 32:11Speaker 4: The fact that this cat is so mean to people
- 32:13Speaker 4: makes me like.
- 32:16Speaker 2: It was so funny watching picturing the scene of people
- 32:19Speaker 2: running and hitting their head and falling downstairs.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Though from this cat, it makes it even funnier.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Matt Matt Matt Mark told me today that he thinks
