The Inland Northwest Sports Hall of Fame is set to honor a legendary class this October, featuring powerhouse coaches Ken Pelo and Pat Tyson, plus elite athletes Jeff Brown, Jared Lawrence, and distance runner Rick Riley. Pelo’s wrestling teams racked up 13 league titles and 250 wins, while Tyson’s cross country squads claimed 12 state titles and went 79-0 in dual meets. Brown, Spokane’s first Washington Player of the Year, led Gonzaga to its first conference title, and Lawrence went undefeated in high school with four state championships.
