- 1:11Speaker 1: As I was watching, I cam up with some possible
- 1:13Speaker 1: alternate titles. Oh nice, The one where everyone is falling apart,
- 1:17Speaker 1: like all the relationships are falling apart everyone, Yes, everyone's
- 1:20Speaker 1: a mess? Yes, I agree? What else Austin's a cheater,
- 1:23Speaker 1: but maybe not the kinds you think mmmmm, And finally
- 1:28Speaker 1: checked out the viewership four Ride episode five, and I
- 1:33Speaker 1: would say right is holding strong, if not gaining traction,
- 1:36Speaker 1: with one point two million viewers on last weekend's episode.
- 1:41Speaker 1: You know, not everybody has to dislike the things that
- 1:43Speaker 1: you dislike. Easy.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I'm not suggesting everybody should dislike the things. I don't
- 1:49Speaker 2: have to like all the things everybody else likes.
- 1:51Speaker 1: But I am gonna say that this episode finally, like
- 1:57Speaker 1: it's finally something's happening, gave you something. I'm the episode
- 2:01Speaker 1: six in the last two minutes like, come on, I
- 2:05Speaker 1: just need more substance.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Would you like me to start with a synopsis? Yeah,
- 2:11Speaker 2: for your cheating heart. Isabelle and Hank decide to woo
- 2:15Speaker 2: Gus's dad, Daniel Booker, to invest in their new business venture.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Missy tries to meet with the strange woman from the
- 2:20Speaker 2: Frontier Barbecue, the Strange Lady.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Let's start with the overall action in this episode, which
- 2:28Speaker 1: kind of revolves around the pitching of the rodeo to
- 2:32Speaker 1: Gus's dad. Okay, the Kenyon Rodeo, Kanyon Rodeo and I
- 2:37Speaker 1: have so many questions about Rodeo okay based on this Okay,
- 2:41Speaker 1: but let's start with the over arching story, the big
- 2:45Speaker 1: story of this episode. So Gus's dad comes out. Now.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Gus's dad is played by Dylan Neil. Uh huh. I
- 2:56Speaker 1: think he's real handsome. Yeah, it's such a shame that
- 2:59Speaker 1: he's such a dick in this episode.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Totally agree, But I was like, what have I seen
- 3:05Speaker 2: him in? What have I seen him? Where do I
- 3:07Speaker 2: know his face from? He's got like that familiar face
- 3:10Speaker 2: that shows up and stuff, but you don't really know
- 3:13Speaker 2: his name thanks.
- 3:14Speaker 1: To your detective work, Megan Neil. I'm sorry, Dylan Neil.
- 3:18Speaker 1: That's a hard name to say. It's because of the
- 3:20Speaker 1: ends with the Inn and then it starts with an inn,
- 3:22Speaker 1: you know what I mean.
- 3:24Speaker 2: So he's no stranger the Hallmark. He's been in the
- 3:27Speaker 2: gourmet detective series Cedar Cove, and he was Peacey's brother
- 3:32Speaker 2: on Oh, I wrote.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Dad, I don't know. Yeah, he was his older brother
- 3:37Speaker 1: on the fly editing there. I watched the entire Dawson's
- 3:40Speaker 1: Creek series but have very little memory for the secondary characters. Yeah,
- 3:46Speaker 1: me too. Yeah, real handsome dude. When he comes in
- 3:49Speaker 1: hot with his leg. Do you know how much my
- 3:51Speaker 1: time is worth? Uh? Look, have you ever seen on
- 3:56Speaker 1: TikTok or Instagram when people do these like skits of
- 3:59Speaker 1: like how people with a lot of money behave and
- 4:04Speaker 1: then people with like bonkers amounts of money behave. No,
- 4:08Speaker 1: they always portray the person who is either newly wealthy
- 4:13Speaker 1: or has just enough money to be considered wealthy as
- 4:16Speaker 1: kind of this entitled asshole. And the people who are
- 4:19Speaker 1: comfortably outrageously wealthy are always kind of just like cool dudes,
- 4:24Speaker 1: like they like the nice life, but they are not
- 4:27Speaker 1: showing off their wealth. They're not demanding respect from people
- 4:31Speaker 1: that are lower than them. And that's what that's the
- 4:34Speaker 1: vibe that this gave me, Like, if you are in
- 4:36Speaker 1: fact that powerful, you do not need to act in
- 4:39Speaker 1: this way. That's a good point. I was trying to
- 4:42Speaker 1: think of, like people in real life. Who I wonder if,
- 4:45Speaker 1: like Oprah Winfrey, she's like bonkers rich, right Oprah Winfrey? Yes?
- 4:50Speaker 1: Do you think she acts like people are beneath her? Probably? Well?
- 4:53Speaker 1: And I don't think she drives like a rose gold
- 4:56Speaker 1: sports car like Dereet. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 4:59Speaker 1: that's the friends to me like, I'm sure she drives
- 5:01Speaker 1: a nice xmam, she lives in a beautiful home, but
- 5:04Speaker 1: does she have like a gold plated coy pond outside
- 5:08Speaker 1: her front door? Got it? Yeah? No, I hear you.
- 5:11Speaker 2: So when he steps off and he's like, that was
- 5:13Speaker 2: such a jerk move. However, I did appreciate the scene
- 5:17Speaker 2: where Gus primed them first.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yes on what to expect. Yes. I liked the pre
- 5:24Speaker 1: pitching prep session, and when he played the role of
- 5:28Speaker 1: his dad, I kind of was like, oh, oh, don't
- 5:31Speaker 1: like Gus like that, right, But he had to do
- 5:33Speaker 1: it to get them ready. He's on their side and
- 5:35Speaker 1: he's like, I love Rodeo. I would totally invest if
- 5:37Speaker 1: I had that kind of money. So, look, Gus is
- 5:41Speaker 1: working hard to earn the number one spot in our hearts.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I think the number one guy in the group. Yeah,
- 5:48Speaker 1: that's vander Prepp rules reference that I don't think you've
- 5:51Speaker 1: gotten to yet. But who is the number one guy
- 5:53Speaker 1: in the group? That's a podcast episode, all on? That's okay? Good, okay, okay, Hey, so.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Let's talk about their big idea to do this faux
- 6:02Speaker 2: rodeo day. Okay, So, first of all, don't you think
- 6:06Speaker 2: they would have invited more people to come out to
- 6:10Speaker 2: show that there was interest in this?
- 6:13Speaker 1: Fair point, right? Yeah, and then.
- 6:16Speaker 2: They have Valeria do her barrel riding thing. Yeah, And
- 6:20Speaker 2: as I was watching the barrel riding, like, I understand
- 6:24Speaker 2: that as a I'm going to say sport, but I
- 6:27Speaker 2: have no interest in watching that, Like, do people really
- 6:31Speaker 2: get up for that?
- 6:32Speaker 1: Yes, there's lots of sports I'm not interested in watching.
- 6:34Speaker 1: You know what I hate watching on television wait for it,
- 6:36Speaker 1: basketball get out. I would rather do a lot of
- 6:40Speaker 1: other things. Honestly, I like pretty much every sport live.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I will see any sport live except Rodeo. I'm sorry,
- 6:44Speaker 1: this entire thing made me so uncomfortable. I don't want
- 6:46Speaker 1: to do it. But you don't like the mistreatment of
- 6:50Speaker 1: animals walking a line? Here, we're walking a line. I know,
- 6:54Speaker 1: I am comfortable, and I understand people would say, like
- 6:58Speaker 1: they're working animals, they were bred to work, and I
- 7:00Speaker 1: get it. It just makes me uncomfortable, and I'm entitled
- 7:02Speaker 1: to feel that way. I'm not Rodeo shouldn't exist. It's
- 7:08Speaker 1: just not for me, and I don't want to watch it.
- 7:10Speaker 1: But I do think it's a big freaking deal in
- 7:13Speaker 1: some places. And I also want to be like, I
- 7:17Speaker 1: think culturally for a lot of people, rodeo I don't
- 7:20Speaker 1: think started in the United States, And I don't want
- 7:23Speaker 1: to take away the fact that it has meaning for people.
- 7:25Speaker 1: It is not for me, but it is for someone,
- 7:30Speaker 1: all right.
- 7:31Speaker 2: So there are people who who get excited to barrel racing.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I mean it is kind of.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Cool to go, wow, look look what you can make
- 7:40Speaker 2: this big animal do. Right, But then on the other
- 7:43Speaker 2: side of that, that's what makes me uncomfortable, Like, look
- 7:45Speaker 2: who you're making this big animal do.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Just let this big animal exist. Now, I will say
- 7:51Speaker 1: the whole trick writing with Missy impressive obviously not Missy. Right,
- 7:57Speaker 1: So that's a good question because I saw I don't
- 7:59Speaker 1: know you saw this on Hallmark Channel one of their
- 8:02Speaker 1: social feeds. They posted a video of behind the scenes
- 8:06Speaker 1: of Missy. It looked like doing that suicide drag move
- 8:10Speaker 1: on a horse. But now I'm not actually on a horse,
- 8:14Speaker 1: like in a studio, like a something, and like they
- 8:18Speaker 1: show like the dust flying by and all of this,
- 8:20Speaker 1: so it's like it's two scenes cut together. But in
- 8:24Speaker 1: that scene it was actually her filming that although She
- 8:28Speaker 1: wasn't actually on a horse galloping around a ring. So
- 8:32Speaker 1: that horse is going fast when she's hopping on and
- 8:34Speaker 1: off and hitting the ground like that. Okay, but you
- 8:36Speaker 1: do say that that is probably a stunt person, right,
- 8:39Speaker 1: somebody who does know how to do those things. Those
- 8:42Speaker 1: seemed like they had to be. But what I'm saying,
- 8:44Speaker 1: she was in those other scenes, so maybe not. I
- 8:46Speaker 1: don't know.
- 8:47Speaker 2: There's no way that a studio is gonna put like
- 8:50Speaker 2: their head actor in a situation in the ground, No way. No,
- 8:57Speaker 2: I know, Tom cruise.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Like. It was very impressive and quite scary to watch. Yes,
- 9:05Speaker 1: I agree, so fast, very fast, and she hits the
- 9:08Speaker 1: ground like you're gonna break an ankle, fee at the groundhard.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's terrifying. So then we, of course
- 9:15Speaker 2: we get Cash coming out right right in for eight seconds,
- 9:20Speaker 2: right on the dot. And what was it that turned
- 9:24Speaker 2: Gus's dad here, because I think he wasn't like super
- 9:27Speaker 2: interested until this moment.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Well, you want to get controversial, let's do it. It's
- 9:34Speaker 1: all well and good that the ladies can do their
- 9:35Speaker 1: barrel riding and their trick writing, but now you got
- 9:37Speaker 1: manly man Cash out there ridding a bull in actual danger,
- 9:41Speaker 1: and that's the kind of thing that this alpha male
- 9:44Speaker 1: can get on board with. Uh huh, that's some nice
- 9:48Speaker 1: insight there, Megan, come for me.
- 9:51Speaker 2: No, I don't, meganmail dot com. I don't think you're wrong.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I don't think you're gonna get an opposing viewpoint. I
- 9:57Speaker 2: think you might be right, especially when we have Isabelle
- 10:01Speaker 2: in contrast next to him, like kind of freaking out and.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Not wanting to watch him, you know what I mean?
- 10:06Speaker 1: Very interesting most action we've seen on this show in
- 10:10Speaker 1: that mini rodeo and in many, many weeks, I would
- 10:12Speaker 1: say I would agree. Can we move on to our
- 10:15Speaker 1: secondary story here? Cash is giant bruised hand? Okay, Why
- 10:20Speaker 1: is Gus's face not bruised? Yeah, like not even a
- 10:22Speaker 1: black eye? He hit him that hard, and maybe he
- 10:24Speaker 1: hit it with his thumb tucked in. You know, you're
- 10:27Speaker 1: not supposed to throw a punch with your thumb tucked in,
- 10:29Speaker 1: And that looked in the injury doesn't know. I don't.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I don't know how to throw a punch either. I
- 10:33Speaker 1: have no idea. My entertaining is you're not supposed to
- 10:35Speaker 1: have your thumb tucked into your fist, So he said,
- 10:39Speaker 1: by a passion. Actually military dude, Cash knows how to
- 10:42Speaker 1: throw a punch exactly. Okay, So, but that's so funny,
- 10:46Speaker 1: like he's so hurt, like he is so hurt, but
- 10:50Speaker 1: there's nothing wrong with Gus. It looks like he punched
- 10:54Speaker 1: a brick wall, you know what I mean? Yes, or
- 10:56Speaker 1: had his hand run over by a car like it
- 10:59Speaker 1: was so I need to know. Did you see the
- 11:03Speaker 1: practice well, yes, the like tin can thing that he's
- 11:07Speaker 1: riding on or what okay to tell me, is this
- 11:14Speaker 1: how we practice rodeo? I know I did laugh out lot.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I was like, what is this piece of junk this
- 11:19Speaker 1: guy's focusing on? You would think that like an actual
- 11:23Speaker 1: they would have like a real mechanical something or other,
- 11:26Speaker 1: right or ranch hands do use back. They're like sea
- 11:28Speaker 1: saw on the thing up and down, and Cash can't
- 11:30Speaker 1: even stay on. And even Missy's like, you can't stay
- 11:33Speaker 1: on the practice barrel like the thing's barely moving. It's
- 11:36Speaker 1: like writing at seasock. No, he wouldn't stay out because
- 11:39Speaker 1: his hand hurt so badly? Is that why? Yes? Because
- 11:42Speaker 1: he's holding on with his hand. Okay, So when Isabel
- 11:45Speaker 1: freaks out at the end, it's like you you played injured,
- 11:49Speaker 1: or you played injured, you rode injured, And I was like, lady,
- 11:53Speaker 1: every professional sports person place injured, don't you think? Yes,
- 11:58Speaker 1: I agree with you there. I I think the issue
- 12:00Speaker 1: here is Cash is holding on to a buck and
- 12:03Speaker 1: bull and all he has to hold on to is
- 12:06Speaker 1: with his hand, and his hand is injured, and now
- 12:08Speaker 1: he's lost the function of one of his very few
- 12:11Speaker 1: safety measures keeping him alive. M I think that's a
- 12:16Speaker 1: little bit different than saying like, hey, I am playing
- 12:20Speaker 1: on a pulled tendon in my knee. Yes, that could
- 12:24Speaker 1: result in permanent injury, but probably isn't gonna kill me.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I feel like this is more like the football player
- 12:30Speaker 1: with multiple concussions continuing to get in the game level
- 12:34Speaker 1: in terms of the potential effect, because I don't think
- 12:37Speaker 1: she's worried about like and maybe, but however, maybe she is.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Maybe she's like, you could have done long term damage
- 12:42Speaker 1: to your hand. If you don't have use of your hand,
- 12:44Speaker 1: you're not a bull rider. There goes this career that
- 12:46Speaker 1: you wanted for yourself. I feel it's more like there
- 12:49Speaker 1: goes your brain, splat on the ground, stomped by bullet.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Once again. Yeah, we're three for three on these McMurray man. Seriously,
- 12:57Speaker 1: maybe they're not not that good. Well, that brings us
- 13:03Speaker 1: to a point we're gonna make in a minute. I
- 13:04Speaker 1: don't know Cash this entire episode, he's so in Austin's
- 13:08Speaker 1: shadow and he's got something to prove, and this whole
- 13:11Speaker 1: series he's been like that. I feel. Yes, first of all,
- 13:15Speaker 1: I called it last episode, this fight between Cash and
- 13:18Speaker 1: Gus is gonna drive a wedge between Missy and Cash.
- 13:23Speaker 1: And it does, of course, yes, it does. A because
- 13:26Speaker 1: he lies to her about it, and b because again
- 13:32Speaker 1: it like affects her in many ways. Now Isabel's mad
- 13:34Speaker 1: at her because he's writing injured and he hid this
- 13:36Speaker 1: injury from her.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Well wait till Missy finds out that like Cash and
- 13:42Speaker 2: Val are like having these tender moments between each other,
- 13:47Speaker 2: she's really gonna flip out.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Do you think I'm not saying I disagree? I don't know.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Do I think what that she's going to freak out? Yeah?
- 13:55Speaker 1: I think so? Okay, I absolutely think so, even though
- 13:59Speaker 1: she's got her own floor with Gus. Yeah, you don't
- 14:02Speaker 1: date your friends like whatever, Yeah, former little flame. Even
- 14:07Speaker 1: though it wasn't official. I Missy's gonna find out and
- 14:09Speaker 1: she's gonna be pissed off. I think you're right. I'm
- 14:13Speaker 1: trying to decide if I think she has a right
- 14:15Speaker 1: to be okay, if those are earned feelings. So I
- 14:19Speaker 1: do like that Valeria calls Cash on his behavior when
- 14:25Speaker 1: she's like, you and I kind of had this moment.
- 14:29Speaker 1: But you see Gus and Missy together and you feel
- 14:32Speaker 1: like you need to punch him in the face? How
- 14:34Speaker 1: is that supposed to make me feel? And he's like,
- 14:38Speaker 1: not really about you? This is like so wrong, it's
- 14:41Speaker 1: got wrong written all over it, Like yeah, and she
- 14:44Speaker 1: forgives him too quickly, like in the next scene she's
- 14:46Speaker 1: like doing the hand on his cheek moment.
- 14:49Speaker 2: I think Valeria needs to look for somebody outside of
- 14:52Speaker 2: the group.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Yes, Valaria, you are enough. He hasn't got too much baggage. Yes, Oh,
- 14:58Speaker 1: I do still want him and Missy together the okay.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I found Cash to be a complete pain in the
- 15:02Speaker 1: ass in this entire episode. His self doubt is I
- 15:05Speaker 1: have empathy fatigue. Mmm. I like that he's always going
- 15:09Speaker 1: to live in Austin shadow. I don't feel like anybody
- 15:13Speaker 1: is putting that on him but himself exactly. Nobody is like,
- 15:17Speaker 1: oh well, your brother this and your brother that. Nobody
- 15:20Speaker 1: is doing that. I've not seen that happen one time,
- 15:24Speaker 1: But now I feel like Isabelle's finally behind Austin in
- 15:28Speaker 1: terms of, like, get your head in the game, because
- 15:32Speaker 1: now our whole livelihood depends on it. Isabel's behind Cash. Yes,
- 15:36Speaker 1: I'm sorry, that's what I meant. Yeah, And I think
- 15:39Speaker 1: Cash is reading Isabel's reluctance to have him ride as
- 15:43Speaker 1: her not believing in him as opposed to her not
- 15:46Speaker 1: wanting to lose another family member to this sport. So
- 15:50Speaker 1: he's just playing that little youngest child's moment. What do
- 15:54Speaker 1: you think about Isabelle being pissed off that missy because
- 15:59Speaker 1: you know Austin was writing her and now she's no
- 16:02Speaker 1: longer am I putting my head in the sand? I'm
- 16:04Speaker 1: gonna be stage mom, you know, I mean Cash was
- 16:07Speaker 1: writing hurt. Yeah. I think her anger was misplaced in
- 16:10Speaker 1: that moment. What was she mad about? That's a good question.
- 16:13Speaker 1: She wants somebody to blame in this moment, and I
- 16:17Speaker 1: don't know why she doesn't just put it fully on Cash,
- 16:19Speaker 1: because I do think it's Cash who deserves the blame
- 16:21Speaker 1: in this moment, absolute freakolutely he's the one who hit
- 16:26Speaker 1: Gus totally out of line, Yeah, and has resulted in
- 16:30Speaker 1: giving himself an injury, and then he decided to ride hurt,
- 16:34Speaker 1: so it's all on him. Yeah, Missy, I'm sorry you
- 16:37Speaker 1: weren't a mind reader and didn't know that he was injured.
- 16:40Speaker 1: The only person who knew was Nick. Right. He tries
- 16:42Speaker 1: to talk him out of it unsuccessfully. Let's talk about
- 16:45Speaker 1: Missy and Polly. Missy, which I'm so glad, decides to
- 16:48Speaker 1: reach out to Polly and she has this conversation with
- 16:51Speaker 1: Tough and she's like, I just I feel like he
- 16:54Speaker 1: was cheating. I feel like there's there's something I don't know.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I need to know, And thank you because I would
- 16:58Speaker 1: need to know too. I'm glad that drug this out.
- 17:00Speaker 1: You need to know. And she finds out that Austin
- 17:03Speaker 1: was cheating at Rodeo. But we don't know why. But
- 17:07Speaker 1: Poullie and Austin did have a thing long time ago.
- 17:10Speaker 1: That's over. She helped him cheat, like he was getting
- 17:14Speaker 1: the best bull to ride? Is that right? So he
- 17:17Speaker 1: would get more points? Yeah, the toughest bull to ride. Yeah,
- 17:21Speaker 1: I mean this is these.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Are details I don't understand, but it is interesting to
- 17:26Speaker 2: hear that Austin was like cheating at his sports.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and the episode ends with why would he cheat
- 17:31Speaker 1: at bull riding? Great question? Why would he cheat? Why
- 17:34Speaker 1: do you think was he trying to gain a bigger
- 17:38Speaker 1: contract or he just really wanted to be the guy?
- 17:42Speaker 1: Or I don't have any insight into this. I don't know.
- 17:45Speaker 1: I mean, she says he was the best in the sport,
- 17:47Speaker 1: like he didn't need to cheat. So what's going on here?
- 17:50Speaker 1: Did he have gambling debts to Tucker Clark too? Oh? Maybe? Yeah?
- 17:56Speaker 1: So if he got more points by writing the hardest
- 18:00Speaker 1: bull then he would have made more money and then
- 18:03Speaker 1: to pay off his debts. Did he make bad investments
- 18:05Speaker 1: that Missy doesn't know about. I don't know. Maybe, yeah,
- 18:08Speaker 1: I like it. Maybe, Okay. I hope we haven't seen
- 18:11Speaker 1: the last of Pollie. I hope there's more Polly.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Oh, me too, because I think these people need more
- 18:17Speaker 2: than each other on this show. Yeah, we need some
- 18:20Speaker 2: outsider friends, friendships, conversations.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Yes, you know. But speaking of outsiders, y'all, Tough and
- 18:27Speaker 1: Julian have the chemistry of two rocks, I am telling you,
- 18:31Speaker 1: did I not say that? From the very beginning, I
- 18:34Speaker 1: was like, there is no chemistry between these two at all.
- 18:37Speaker 1: I liked their kiss I thought that was very sweet,
- 18:39Speaker 1: but up until that moment, they weren't making me believe it.
- 18:42Speaker 1: When Tuss goes to visit Julian when he's wherever his
- 18:46Speaker 1: training grounds are, I'm not getting this vibe. And I
- 18:50Speaker 1: get that they're trying to make us understand that, like
- 18:52Speaker 1: they're not communicating well and they're not really on the
- 18:55Speaker 1: same page, but I'm not getting this like yearning vibe
- 18:58Speaker 1: from either of them. They're just kind of like, yo, bro,
- 19:02Speaker 1: what's going on? Why not? Yeah? Over? And then oh,
- 19:05Speaker 1: I can't make it work. I just didn't believe it.
- 19:08Speaker 1: And then Valeria and Julian are having a conversation and
- 19:12Speaker 1: she tells him how much tough miss is him. He's like, welcome,
- 19:14Speaker 1: I have to hear that from you. Well, yeah, why
- 19:16Speaker 1: do you have to hear from her? Why can I
- 19:18Speaker 1: not believe that anybody cares about this relationship at all?
- 19:22Speaker 1: Mm hmmm. I did think their kissed was sweet, though
- 19:24Speaker 1: it's a storyline I'm here for. I'm interested in, like
- 19:28Speaker 1: romantic storylines for everybody in the movie or in the movie,
- 19:31Speaker 1: in the show. However, it's just not hitting between these
- 19:35Speaker 1: two at all. And I thought it was so rude,
- 19:39Speaker 1: where like he'd come over and brought this like steak
- 19:43Speaker 1: sandwich for and he's like, I already ate it. Just
- 19:46Speaker 1: like I was like, that's your reply, Like would you
- 19:49Speaker 1: if anybody brought me anything, I would be like, oh
- 19:52Speaker 1: my god, that's so nice. I would be so grateful, yes,
- 19:56Speaker 1: because it feels so flattered. Made me think you was
- 20:00Speaker 1: blowing Tough off. Julian's like not excited to see him
- 20:03Speaker 1: and isn't like, oh my gosh, you made me food
- 20:05Speaker 1: like you that's amazing, like that food is my love language.
- 20:08Speaker 1: But whatever the gift, and he's not excited to see him,
- 20:11Speaker 1: and he's not thankful that he's made this gesture. I
- 20:13Speaker 1: was like, oh, he's ghosting him, because Touugh was like, yeah,
- 20:17Speaker 1: he's a bad text and all of this. I was like, Oh,
- 20:20Speaker 1: he's ghosting you. But then later in the episode we
- 20:23Speaker 1: see that Julian just felt like he wasn't getting enough
- 20:26Speaker 1: from Tough.
- 20:27Speaker 2: These two need like communication lesson these two deed, other
- 20:31Speaker 2: people in our lives.
- 20:32Speaker 1: I think you're right. I think I just know we
- 20:35Speaker 1: need to move on past as storyline because I just
- 20:37Speaker 1: has such a pretty face though that I wouldn't mind
- 20:40Speaker 1: him sticking around. He's part of the rodeo circuit, Like,
- 20:43Speaker 1: let's keep him on board. He and Tough can just
- 20:46Speaker 1: exchange like the oh what might have been looks across
- 20:49Speaker 1: the rodeo ring and then they both need other love
- 20:52Speaker 1: interests in their life. Mmmm. Yeah sure. Speaking of relationships
- 20:56Speaker 1: that are so annoying in this show, can we talk
- 20:59Speaker 1: about Jannine and the way she has no self respect
- 21:04Speaker 1: and throws herself at Gus. Yeah. Now, episode three, which
- 21:09Speaker 1: you didn't see, but Janine and Gus attend the gala together,
- 21:12Speaker 1: Oh because Janine and Hank invited Gus to attend as
- 21:15Speaker 1: their guest. And Janine is very possessive of Gus in
- 21:19Speaker 1: that moment and behaves as if they're a couple and
- 21:22Speaker 1: even makes a comment about like purchasing the ranch and
- 21:25Speaker 1: how they could spruce up the main house and all
- 21:27Speaker 1: of this, Gus is giving you nothing, Janine. There is
- 21:31Speaker 1: no moment that we as viewers have ever seen where
- 21:34Speaker 1: Gus gives you anything other than a polite hello or glance.
- 21:39Speaker 1: And even when she's like can't wait to sit in
- 21:41Speaker 1: the stands, Gus gives Missya like, my gosh, look he's
- 21:45Speaker 1: giving you nothing. Janine, love yourself a little bit more
- 21:49Speaker 1: than this. I know your dad wants you like to
- 21:52Speaker 1: find whatever it is wealth and he wants you to
- 21:55Speaker 1: marry up. He's like Skylar sister in you, but it's
- 21:59Speaker 1: got to be another dude will actually look at you.
- 22:01Speaker 2: You know what was funny is I thought Janine came
- 22:04Speaker 2: off a little softer in this episode that she has
- 22:07Speaker 2: in previous episodes, Like she was less mean even with
- 22:10Speaker 2: her with.
- 22:10Speaker 1: The many eye rolls. You know, I'm just thinking every
- 22:14Speaker 1: time like Missy's where she's like, oh, Missy looks so
- 22:17Speaker 1: fancying a costume. I did not find her softer. And
- 22:23Speaker 1: her entire stage direction is royal eyes as Missy rides
- 22:26Speaker 1: by royal eyes when they clap for Missy. She's such
- 22:31Speaker 1: a hater and she's so too old for that role. Yeah,
- 22:35Speaker 1: she could be like the like jealous eighteen year old. Yeah,
- 22:39Speaker 1: she's probably supposed to be like twenty five or something exactly.
- 22:43Speaker 1: This is not I feel like they're infantilizing her with
- 22:46Speaker 1: that behavior. She's an adult woman, and I think there's
- 22:50Speaker 1: ways to be kind of snarky, but I don't think
- 22:55Speaker 1: they're doing it well with her. Mm hmm. And if they're,
- 22:59Speaker 1: I mean they're She's definitely unlikable, which is fine, but
- 23:03Speaker 1: just have a little self respect. Yeah, I hear you
- 23:05Speaker 1: find another dude because it's not Cash and it's not Gus,
- 23:09Speaker 1: So who's it gonna be? Jenine? That's why I think
- 23:14Speaker 1: this show needs more characters. Yeah, No, I don't. I mean,
- 23:21Speaker 1: there's a lot of people on this show. Not everybody
- 23:23Speaker 1: needs to be coupled up. Like Janine could have a
- 23:26Speaker 1: role that doesn't require her to find a man.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Looks so freaking desperate all the time.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I'll hear you who you're writing for in this episode.
- 23:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna say Missy because Missy finally like she was
- 23:39Speaker 2: on the pursuit to get the answers from Polly.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Yes and you. Yeah, I am gonna agree with that.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I mean, if I was going to give it back
- 23:49Speaker 1: to back when it would be for Gus for showing
- 23:51Speaker 1: up for the McMurray's again. But I do like that
- 23:54Speaker 1: Missy doesn't back down. Polly ghosts are and she's like, nope,
- 23:59Speaker 1: I need these answers. I'm gonna be strong and make
- 24:02Speaker 1: the phone call and make it happen. I mean, like,
- 24:04Speaker 1: what's Missy have to lose Austin is dead. I'd be like,
- 24:07Speaker 1: give me all the details, like I want to know exactly,
- 24:11Speaker 1: and what does Polly have to lose? Like she made
- 24:13Speaker 1: this promise to a dead guy now, just like Hamilton,
- 24:16Speaker 1: remember you brought up Hamilton or earlier. We're gonna keep
- 24:19Speaker 1: their promises.
- 24:20Speaker 2: She kept her promise to Austin and now he's in
- 24:22Speaker 2: the grave.
- 24:23Speaker 1: So I would just be like, yeah, great. Is she
- 24:25Speaker 1: afraid of getting in trouble now for her behavior? Perhaps her?
- 24:29Speaker 1: Missy me like, sell her out and get her in
- 24:31Speaker 1: trouble now. Can't be bothered to care that much about
- 24:34Speaker 1: these people.
- 24:35Speaker 2: I texted you, I said, finally something is happening on
- 24:38Speaker 2: this show.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Oh you did so. I am intrigued by this whole
- 24:42Speaker 1: cheating storyline. All right, gimme more, is what you're saying.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Keep it going for the next four episodes. Yes, yes,
