- 1:11Speaker 3: episode of Positively three sixty five. Today we're shining the
- 1:15Speaker 3: spotlight on something incredibly simple but incredibly powerful, kindness. In
- 1:22Speaker 3: a world that sometimes feels sharp, divided, or distracted, kindness
- 1:27Speaker 3: can seem like a soft skill, something extra, but in truth,
- 1:32Speaker 3: kindness is a force. It uplifts others, disarms conflict, and
- 1:39Speaker 3: builds bridges where walls used to exist. And the best part,
- 1:44Speaker 3: you don't need money, status, or perfect timing. You just
- 1:48Speaker 3: need to care and take a moment to show it.
- 1:52Speaker 3: So let's talk about why kindness matters now more than
- 1:55Speaker 3: ever and how even small acts can ripple in big ways.
- 2:00Speaker 3: But first we have our trivia question of the day.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Are you ready for it? Here? It is what popular
- 2:08Speaker 3: social movement began in two thousand and four, encouraging people
- 2:13Speaker 3: to do random acts of kindness anonymously. We will have
- 2:17Speaker 3: the answer when we come back. Hey, they're amazing listeners.

- 3:50Speaker 3: for listening and happy reading. Welcome back. Do you know
- 4:00Speaker 3: the answer to this week's trivia question? The question was
- 4:06Speaker 3: what popular social movement began in two thousand and four
- 4:10Speaker 3: encouraging people to do random acts of kindness anonymously. The
- 4:14Speaker 3: answer the Kindness Project, also known as the Random Acts
- 4:20Speaker 3: of Kindness are a K movement. It started gaining traction
- 4:26Speaker 3: in the early two thousands, particularly with the launch of
- 4:29Speaker 3: websites and communicate communities dedicated to anonymous good deeds like
- 4:35Speaker 3: paying for someone's coffee, leaving encouraging notes, or helping a
- 4:39Speaker 3: stranger in need without expecting anything in return. The movement
- 4:45Speaker 3: reminded the world that kindness doesn't have to be grand
- 4:49Speaker 3: to be powerful. It just has to be genuine. Here
- 4:58Speaker 3: is the beautiful thing about kindness. It's contagious when someone
- 5:04Speaker 3: does something kind for you, even something tiny, like holding
- 5:08Speaker 3: the door or offering a smile. It lights something up
- 5:13Speaker 3: in your brain. You're more likely to pass it on
- 5:16Speaker 3: to someone else, and then that person passes it on
- 5:20Speaker 3: and on it goes. Kindness creates momentum. It also rewires
- 5:26Speaker 3: our own experience. Studies show that practicing kindness boosts serotonin
- 5:33Speaker 3: and reduces stress, not just for the person receiving it,
- 5:37Speaker 3: but for the giver too. It connects us, It reminds
- 5:41Speaker 3: us of our shared humanity. It brings meaning to even
- 5:45Speaker 3: the smallest moment, and in tough times, when the world
- 5:50Speaker 3: feels heavy or confusing, kindness is a form of resistance.
- 5:55Speaker 3: It's how we say I still believe in good, I
- 5:58Speaker 3: still choose love, I still care. You may never know
- 6:03Speaker 3: the full impact of a kind word or gesture, but
- 6:07Speaker 3: someone will feel it, and that might be the moment
- 6:10Speaker 3: that keeps them going. Let's close with this. Jennifer Duke's
- 6:28Speaker 3: Lee once said, in a world where you can be anything,
- 6:35Speaker 3: be kind. Yes, you never know what someone else is carrying.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Your kindness might be the light they didn't know they
- 6:45Speaker 3: needed today. So hold a door, say thank you, offer
- 6:50Speaker 3: the smile. The smallest kindness could be the biggest moment
- 6:54Speaker 3: in someone else's day, and it costs you nothing. Kindness.
