- 1:28Speaker 4: just seeing family and get ready for Christmas.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Are you so excited to celebrate with your sweet little
- 1:37Speaker 2: grand baby both of them?
- 1:40Speaker 5: Yeah, my granddu you have too, right, I have a.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Four year old granddaughter Iris, and now baby Jack is here.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Baby Jack is here to change the world forever. And
- 1:54Speaker 4: we're excited. We're excited. Good timing Christmas, got a little
- 1:58Speaker 4: Christmas grand grandson.
- 2:00Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Congratulations, Yes, congratulations for sure. I feel like we said congratulations.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I said congratulations in person, but congratulations here as well.
- 2:12Speaker 2: What are your Do you guys have any specific fun
- 2:15Speaker 2: plans that you can share.
- 2:18Speaker 4: No, we're listen, we're laying low. You know. Family time
- 2:22Speaker 4: is you know, is very special for us. But yeah,
- 2:25Speaker 4: we're gonna just be around the LA area and then
- 2:27Speaker 4: doing some traveling. You know, other family members have to
- 2:32Speaker 4: be connected with and all that. My daughter's husband, Andrew
- 2:35Speaker 4: and Justin and Haley too. They got to go see
- 2:38Speaker 4: some other family too.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that makes total sense. Okay, So we've got a
- 2:45Speaker 2: big premiere coming up January eighth, season three. For real,
- 2:51Speaker 2: are you doing anything for the premiere?
- 2:57Speaker 4: I don't know yet. I'm just waiting, you know, for
- 3:00Speaker 4: Cam Newton to like text me and tell me to
- 3:03Speaker 4: like meet him in Vegas or something. I don't know. Right,
- 3:07Speaker 4: look at your laugh because you know it's totally possible.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Look at Cam, look it up. Let's come, Oh, Mar,
- 3:16Speaker 4: that's awesome.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Well, you had to be such a fun experience for you.
- 3:20Speaker 3: I mean, you know, you look like you're in pretty
- 3:22Speaker 3: good shape. But I could imagine this had to be
- 3:25Speaker 3: crazy challenging. I mean I haven't really gotten even asked,
- 3:27Speaker 3: trusted too much about it yet, but it had to
- 3:29Speaker 3: be just incredibly physically challenging.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Listen, you know Hollywood's Hollywood. I won Fear Factor twenty
- 3:40Speaker 4: five years ago when Joe Rogan was the host, So
- 3:44Speaker 4: I kind of I'm one of the actor guys that
- 3:47Speaker 4: kind of digs, you know, the need for speed, you know, adrenalynda.
- 3:50Speaker 4: But I'm fifty eight now, hello, Yeah, ten years older
- 3:55Speaker 4: than all the other Special Forces congenency.
- 3:59Speaker 2: I was fifty one, and when I did it, I'm
- 4:00Speaker 2: fifty nine.
- 4:05Speaker 3: First of all, you guys are both not very good
- 4:07Speaker 3: at math. If you're fifty one, he's fifty eight, that's seven.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Oh, I thought he said sixty Did he say sixty fifty?
- 4:13Speaker 5: You're right, we are not good.
- 4:15Speaker 4: There's a reason you're here, buddy.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Yeah, we're not letting you guys go on mathletes compete. Well,
- 4:20Speaker 3: have you on especial forstance?
- 4:22Speaker 4: How's that? Yeah?
- 4:24Speaker 3: So, I mean at fifty eight, did you feel like,
- 4:26Speaker 3: I mean, were you were you nervous?
- 4:28Speaker 1: Because I mean I've watched the previews.
- 4:30Speaker 4: It looks I want to get to the point. I
- 4:31Speaker 4: want to get to the point of what you're asking,
- 4:33Speaker 4: which is this is this is a big Fox production.
- 4:38Speaker 4: I've been on Celebrity Apprentice, trist has been on a
- 4:42Speaker 4: ton of stuff, you know. You know, at a certain
- 4:45Speaker 4: budget level, these shows, you know, can sometimes be kind
- 4:51Speaker 4: of produced in a way where it's not really that dangerous,
- 4:55Speaker 4: you know what I mean. That was not the case
- 4:58Speaker 4: here at all. And I've been through that kind of stuff.
- 5:01Speaker 4: I'm a skydiver, you know. I've raced cars, crash cars, motorcycles,
- 5:05Speaker 4: all that kind of stuff. In nineteen ninety I won
- 5:08Speaker 4: the Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix when they did the
- 5:11Speaker 4: Pro Celebrity race. So I've done a lot of this
- 5:14Speaker 4: adrenaline stuff. But Special Special Forces was just something like
- 5:19Speaker 4: and this is really kind of almost asinine for me
- 5:21Speaker 4: to say, which is I thought, well, the only way
- 5:24Speaker 4: to really find out how bad could it be is
- 5:26Speaker 4: to do it. That's the only way to really see
- 5:29Speaker 4: how crazy and gnarly it is is to do it.
- 5:32Speaker 4: And I totally would never do it again. I don't
- 5:36Speaker 4: know about but because there's people that have already been
- 5:40Speaker 4: asked that question that are like, you know, like, well, yes,
- 5:42Speaker 4: of course, you know the Patriot in my own hot
- 5:45Speaker 4: and you know all the yeah person they're going, there's
- 5:48Speaker 4: there's I can't you know, obviously we can't reveal what happened,
- 5:51Speaker 4: but it was beyond gnarly dangerous and I wouldn't do
- 5:59Speaker 4: it again.
- 6:00Speaker 2: So it's funny that you say that. So at first
- 6:02Speaker 2: I think I would say no, I wouldn't do it again.
- 6:05Speaker 2: But I don't know about you. But when I came
- 6:08Speaker 2: back from the show, like recent when I had returned,
- 6:13Speaker 2: and then even now if I think about it, when
- 6:15Speaker 2: I'm like going to bed, I feel like I I
- 6:21Speaker 2: would like to go back, just to do different things.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Like I loved meeting everyone and and you know, we
- 6:30Speaker 2: met people from all different walks of life. There's no
- 6:33Speaker 2: way I would have ever met cam Newton, you know,
- 6:37Speaker 2: unless we were at an event or something.
- 6:39Speaker 5: Like, you know what I mean.
- 6:40Speaker 2: So I just feel like and you I mean, I
- 6:43Speaker 2: feel like we've crossed paths once or twice maybe, but
- 6:46Speaker 2: I I just feel like the relationships are so cool,
- 6:51Speaker 2: So I would maybe want to do it again just
- 6:53Speaker 2: for that, because it would be like a wholy group
- 6:55Speaker 2: of people, you know. But you're right, it was so
- 6:59Speaker 2: gnarly and I you know, going in if you've watched
- 7:04Speaker 2: the show, did you watch the show prior.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Not really a little bit because Bevery Mitchell is a
- 7:10Speaker 4: friend of mine who had done the season before us. Yeah,
- 7:14Speaker 4: And I didn't want to really ask her too much.
- 7:17Speaker 4: I just wanted to see what she had to say
- 7:21Speaker 4: about how risky it was this, that, and even she
- 7:25Speaker 4: couldn't say.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Much, right, No, Yeah, I talked to Hannah Brown, who
- 7:29Speaker 2: actually was on the same season as Beverly. I think
- 7:31Speaker 2: they're good friends and same thing. Like it was just
- 7:35Speaker 2: like training tips, like how are you going to train?
- 7:37Speaker 5: But I feel like.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I knew going in it was going to be hard obviously,
- 7:42Speaker 2: But you can't know, like you were saying, you can't
- 7:45Speaker 2: know until you actually go and do it.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Here's what I do. I try to play it safe
- 7:51Speaker 4: with what you can and can't say, So I'll just
- 7:53Speaker 4: talk about like the first day, Right, the first day,
- 7:56Speaker 4: we had three big, like crazy events.
- 7:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Right. The trailers already out so you could see the
- 8:02Speaker 4: helicopters and all that kind of stuff. So that's already
- 8:04Speaker 4: out there in the marketing and the promotion, right. But
- 8:07Speaker 4: what people don't see is in between the three major
- 8:11Speaker 4: events that almost like blew your mind on the first
- 8:14Speaker 4: day was one hundred and fifty push ups and really,
- 8:19Speaker 4: that's well, I forget to run one hundred and fifty pushups. Yeah,
- 8:25Speaker 4: in between jumping onto helicopters, they were yeah, so this
- 8:30Speaker 4: this fhear factor and all this other stuff looked like,
- 8:33Speaker 4: you know, child's.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Play totally, and you are so right.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I think I said that in my interviews that the
- 8:40Speaker 2: hardest thing for me was the running and having to
- 8:44Speaker 2: carry this like thirty five pound backpack in between all
- 8:48Speaker 2: the challenges. Like I felt like the challenges were like, Okay,
- 8:51Speaker 2: we can finally breathe and like stand here and watch it,
- 8:54Speaker 2: you know, cheer everybody else on.
- 8:56Speaker 5: But and yes, they.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Were crazy and I was scared, but I feel like
- 9:02Speaker 2: the running in between is so hard, and I don't
- 9:05Speaker 2: think you'll get to see a lot of that.
- 9:08Speaker 4: I think you will. I think you do well because
- 9:13Speaker 4: a lot of what they're trying to engage in the
- 9:19Speaker 4: psychology of this entertainment is, you know, the struggle that
- 9:24Speaker 4: we go through. You know, when I was I have asthma, right,
- 9:28Speaker 4: you know, I was struggling with that when we were
- 9:29Speaker 4: out there. And then other people have fears, just innate
- 9:33Speaker 4: fears of water and things like that. So you can
- 9:37Speaker 4: be as cool as you think you want to be.
- 9:40Speaker 4: But yeah, when you're swimming with all your clothes on
- 9:43Speaker 4: and they got like a little towboat alongside you, that like,
- 9:47Speaker 4: you know, they can rescue you if you're you start
- 9:50Speaker 4: saying crazy stuff when you think you know you're going underwater.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Yeah, well, Trista, that that sounds like you. I mean
- 10:07Speaker 3: you you have asthma, and I'm not mistaken you also
- 10:10Speaker 3: have a.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Little bit of a fear of of like open water everything.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Yeah, they're like, Trista is our prime candidate for this show.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 10:22Speaker 5: Stephen.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I don't know if you remember this, but I think
- 10:25Speaker 2: they gave us. Remember we were both I'm asthmatic too,
- 10:29Speaker 2: and they gave us the wrong I think I got
- 10:32Speaker 2: your inhaler and you got mine, or vice you know,
- 10:35Speaker 2: or somebody else. I think someone else had one.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Welcome to the Special Forces, triss Ou. Is this my
- 10:42Speaker 4: old funeral? What does it say on it?
- 10:44Speaker 1: You know?
- 10:44Speaker 4: This is anti lizard venom? You know? Okay me and
- 10:50Speaker 4: see what happensable?
- 10:54Speaker 2: Okay, what I feel like before I went, I'm sure
- 10:58Speaker 2: you did this in preparation, like talking to people like
- 11:01Speaker 2: how to get through it. But I feel like one
- 11:03Speaker 2: of the biggest pieces of advice that I got from
- 11:07Speaker 2: a friend who's in Navy Seal was just remember your why?
- 11:10Speaker 2: What was your why in doing the show?
- 11:13Speaker 4: My why for doing the show is I love the military.
- 11:17Speaker 4: I really support the military here on abroad and everybody
- 11:21Speaker 4: just think anybody that commits to that service, I think
- 11:25Speaker 4: is pretty cool. My dad was a Marine, so you know,
- 11:29Speaker 4: that's just one of those little things, you know. I've
- 11:31Speaker 4: worked a little bit with the Gary Sonice Organization and
- 11:34Speaker 4: just where I can, I like to try to bless
- 11:36Speaker 4: in that way. So I thought this was a cool
- 11:37Speaker 4: way to do that kind of salute the troops, and
- 11:42Speaker 4: then again that that individual test. You know, I'm a skydiver,
- 11:47Speaker 4: but every time you go out the door, you better
- 11:49Speaker 4: make sure when you leave that aircraft you've checked everything
- 11:53Speaker 4: and that your shoot, your parachute's going to work, and
- 11:56Speaker 4: if it doesn't work, the second shoot's going to work. Amen.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Yeah, So I kind of went into this like that,
- 12:02Speaker 4: you know, like, let me just see how hard they're
- 12:05Speaker 4: going to push us, And I thought, I mean, trust,
- 12:08Speaker 4: it only makes sense that they go I thought relatively easy,
- 12:12Speaker 4: honest day one, two, maybe three, you know, blah blah
- 12:15Speaker 4: blah blah, going forward forward. As you know, as it progressed,
- 12:20Speaker 4: it got harder and harder and harder, with the first
- 12:23Speaker 4: tape being one hundred and fifty push ups.
- 12:26Speaker 1: So yeah, military style push ups too, Steven like, oh
- 12:32Speaker 1: my god, oh yes, sir, Yeah, that's brutal.
- 12:36Speaker 4: I couldn't do that, and then run and jump on
- 12:38Speaker 4: a helicopter from a speedboat.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Yeah, from a moving boat.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Damn exciting, like cool stuff when you see it in
- 12:46Speaker 3: the movies. But I just don't know if I could
- 12:47Speaker 3: do it. I just don't think I could.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Well, you didn't have a choice when you were doing
- 12:51Speaker 4: this yeah, exactly, face streaming in your face?
- 12:58Speaker 5: How was it?
- 12:59Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I feel like if you have any questions,
- 13:02Speaker 2: pipe on in here before.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Oh I am no, I'm a fly on the wall.
- 13:05Speaker 3: I was just gonna say one thing I was going
- 13:07Speaker 3: to say, was, you know, with them screaming in your
- 13:09Speaker 3: face boot camp style?
- 13:11Speaker 1: Did you ever were you.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Ever like push to that point where you just wanted
- 13:14Speaker 3: to be, like, just stop yelling at me, Like, I
- 13:16Speaker 3: just don't know what I would do, Like I don't
- 13:19Speaker 3: respond well in situations like that, Like how did you
- 13:21Speaker 3: handle that?
- 13:22Speaker 4: I don't respond in those situations well either, dog, I'm
- 13:25Speaker 4: telling you right now now, I'm the youngest of six kids.
- 13:28Speaker 4: You know, my brothers or my brothers, we were all
- 13:30Speaker 4: you know, we were all athletes. My dad was a
- 13:32Speaker 4: football coach. Our upbringing was very Friday night lights, getting
- 13:37Speaker 4: drunk on the weekend, chasing chicks, you know. But it
- 13:40Speaker 4: was just you know, American on a kind of sure normal.
- 13:46Speaker 4: So in the beginning of the show, they kind of
- 13:48Speaker 4: blindfold you. I'll just leave it at that, and then
- 13:51Speaker 4: they removed that blindfold and then invite you to participate
- 13:55Speaker 4: in the in the very first activity on this boat,
- 14:00Speaker 4: and it's moving and I'm standing at the back of
- 14:02Speaker 4: the boat and my blindfold comes off, and for who
- 14:05Speaker 4: I am and where I'm from, this is the worst
- 14:08Speaker 4: opening line you ever want to hear from an authority,
- 14:15Speaker 4: you know, in an introductory basis like this, my blindfold
- 14:18Speaker 4: comes off, and this guy goes, get that smile off
- 14:21Speaker 4: your face. I promise you, bro, I wasn't smiling. I'm
- 14:29Speaker 4: sitting there going if this guy thinks this face and
- 14:32Speaker 4: smiling unscrewed right from the beginning, and then and then
- 14:38Speaker 4: when I and then straight up, I'm like, you know, yes, sir,
- 14:42Speaker 4: you know he and he goes, you heard me. I
- 14:44Speaker 4: go it was billy, you know what I mean. He goes,
- 14:47Speaker 4: you heard me? And I go, yeah, yeah. He goes,
- 14:49Speaker 4: you heard what I said? And I go, I go, yes, sir,
- 14:51Speaker 4: not smiling. And the next thing I felt was his
- 14:54Speaker 4: hands punching my chest, pushing me off the back of
- 14:59Speaker 4: the boat while was moving. Oh my gosh. It was nuts.
- 15:04Speaker 2: I mean, honestly, like that's like PTSD you saying that.
- 15:07Speaker 4: I think since then, any time I've had like a
- 15:10Speaker 4: thought in and around, you know, get that now when
- 15:15Speaker 4: I get pulled over for a routine traffic stop. I'm like,
- 15:24Speaker 4: oh man, that's insane.
- 15:28Speaker 2: You know what I was bummed about with the press
- 15:30Speaker 2: day is I thought that Billy and Foxy and Q
- 15:33Speaker 2: and Rudy would all be there, or at least one
- 15:36Speaker 2: or two of them, and nobody was there. And I
- 15:38Speaker 2: don't know if you were in the car when with
- 15:41Speaker 2: me when I had this conversation. I feel like Denise
- 15:43Speaker 2: and I were talking about it, but we really wanted
- 15:45Speaker 2: to get to know them on like a personal basis
- 15:49Speaker 2: and not like, you know, superior to inferior. You know,
- 15:53Speaker 2: we wanted to, like, I don't know, just chat with
- 15:56Speaker 2: them because we do realize that they are normal people,
- 15:59Speaker 2: like family people, totally respect them absolutely, and I really
- 16:03Speaker 2: wanted to get to know them. Right. Have you had
- 16:05Speaker 2: the opportunity to see them outside of the show.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Not yet. No. Myself as well, I haven't had a
- 16:12Speaker 4: chance to interact with those guys. But I think it's
- 16:14Speaker 4: probably also they don't want us to do that until
- 16:16Speaker 4: it airs.
- 16:17Speaker 5: Probably Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:19Speaker 4: There's maybe a little of that going on.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Yeah, you're saying that the first day thing or the
- 16:24Speaker 2: first moment thing, and yeah, it like makes my heart race.
- 16:31Speaker 5: Like, oh, I need mine hailer again.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Yeah but no, but with with the moment I described earlier.
- 16:36Speaker 4: You have to see you how many times in my
- 16:38Speaker 4: life I heard get that smile? Like I've heard it all,
- 16:40Speaker 4: Like my dad said a thousand times to me, you
- 16:43Speaker 4: know what I mean?
- 16:43Speaker 5: Did he?
- 16:44Speaker 4: So when the blind Folk comes off and that's the
- 16:47Speaker 4: one line the guys, I'm just there going this is
- 16:50Speaker 4: not at all what I thought it was gonna.
- 16:54Speaker 3: I wonder if somebody knew that, like if the like
- 16:56Speaker 3: did you did you guys have to do like the
- 16:57Speaker 3: psycho al and all that kind of stuff before the show,
- 16:59Speaker 3: and maybe like yeah.
- 17:00Speaker 4: But I don't think the smile of your face line
- 17:03Speaker 4: was in there by.
- 17:06Speaker 2: I think he says that to a lot of people. Honestly,
- 17:09Speaker 2: he like wants to put you in your place, like
- 17:12Speaker 2: you are my inferior. You need to listen to me
- 17:15Speaker 2: kind of thing, you know what I mean? I have
- 17:18Speaker 2: an interesting question so being our age. You know, we
- 17:22Speaker 2: we have kids, we are you know, we've lived our
- 17:26Speaker 2: professional lives, you know most of it. I feel like
- 17:31Speaker 2: a hard thing for me and going into it thinking
- 17:34Speaker 2: about this was just sharing common space with other people
- 17:40Speaker 2: who I'm not married to.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Or you know, having a bathroom right next to.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Freaking I'm like taking a pee or poop right next
- 17:50Speaker 2: to Carrie Hart, who I'm sure he can hear and
- 17:56Speaker 2: smell and I can hear and smell too.
- 17:59Speaker 5: So how I want to.
- 18:02Speaker 4: I want to know when we're sleeping, who's going to
- 18:04Speaker 4: figure out Cam Newton snoring? I want to know exactly
- 18:09Speaker 4: you're gonna tap him on the shoulder in the middle
- 18:11Speaker 4: of telling to keep it.
- 18:12Speaker 5: Damn Osh and Golden.
- 18:17Speaker 2: I think Golden and Carrie and Cam were all the
- 18:20Speaker 2: big snorers in the bunch and see, yeah, no one's
- 18:25Speaker 2: gonna tap them on the shoulder in the middle of
- 18:27Speaker 2: the night and say, hey, roll over, keep it down.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Buddys took a sock in it there, Cam.
- 18:38Speaker 1: That's crazy? That was that?
- 18:39Speaker 3: Was that a weird adjustment Stephen for you, I mean
- 18:42Speaker 3: kind of having that common space sort of violated.
- 18:45Speaker 1: No.
- 18:46Speaker 4: I did two movies where I had to do military training,
- 18:53Speaker 4: uh uh, And in those movies I had to live
- 18:56Speaker 4: like in that similar kind of living in the barracks,
- 18:58Speaker 4: living in you know, can you only like that in
- 19:01Speaker 4: a military sense? So now that didn't freak me out
- 19:03Speaker 4: too bad, uh, but definitely the snoring and uh and
- 19:07Speaker 4: the farting quite frankly.
- 19:09Speaker 3: So, Trista, I know that she was probably not with
- 19:14Speaker 3: her normal restricted diet, so causes already be gassy.
- 19:17Speaker 4: And there you set it. I sat it, it happened. Yeah,
- 19:24Speaker 4: that's not what the s F state. It's not special forces,
- 19:26Speaker 4: it's special it's special forces. Yet, God, I'm sorry.
- 19:33Speaker 5: So On.
- 19:34Speaker 2: I can't remember what day it was, but we all
- 19:38Speaker 2: ended up in like this random field because everyone had
- 19:41Speaker 2: to peet and and maybe even more than that.
- 19:44Speaker 5: Were you part of that?
- 19:45Speaker 2: And did you like so I know that someone and
- 19:48Speaker 2: maybe you'll remember, got like attacked by a nettle or something.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Oh greatest, Trista, I've already confessed to like farting issues.
- 19:56Speaker 4: She wants to straight poop. Tell us to know about
- 20:01Speaker 4: the farting and the number two. Let's know, I'm.
- 20:04Speaker 5: Talking about the nettles.
- 20:06Speaker 2: So someone got like like squatted in this field and
- 20:11Speaker 2: got like like squatted into like a nettle. And I
- 20:13Speaker 2: can't remember who it was.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Were you there?
- 20:16Speaker 4: It was several of the ladies went, you know, traps into.
- 20:22Speaker 5: The wild cross Yeah.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Yeah, and y'all came back with little chiggers on you exactly,
- 20:31Speaker 4: those little kind of like things that stick to you.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Uh. It's like a it's like pointy and sharp and
- 20:37Speaker 2: like makes you itchy afterwards.
- 20:40Speaker 4: But it almost looks like poison ivy. It's freaky.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Yeah, So I was so worried about that, But I
- 20:48Speaker 2: can't remember who it was that like got stung. That's
- 20:51Speaker 2: just things that you don't think about when you sign
- 20:53Speaker 2: up for Special Forces. You know, you think maybe you're
- 20:56Speaker 2: going to have some bathrooms. No, I mean when you
- 20:58Speaker 2: gotta go, you gotta go. And I feel like everybody
- 21:01Speaker 2: had to go, so we just stopped in a field,
- 21:03Speaker 2: you know.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Oh my god. Well that was also the day that
- 21:08Speaker 4: when everybody ran to the restroom, like y'all weren't even
- 21:11Speaker 4: given permission to do it. Like remember we were driving
- 21:15Speaker 4: and driving and driving, and like we had been asking
- 21:17Speaker 4: when can we go to the bathroom, and all of
- 21:19Speaker 4: a sudden they stopped or something and everyone piled out.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Yes, so let's move away from the gross stuff. But
- 21:38Speaker 2: I would love to know what was one of your
- 21:41Speaker 2: favorite memories from the show.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Uh, but my favorite memory was you think you know
- 21:48Speaker 4: who might be on the show. You kind of guess
- 21:50Speaker 4: a little bit as an actor, celebrity, whatever, whatever, And
- 21:54Speaker 4: my favorite moment was and Cam came up and circled
- 21:58Speaker 4: back with me on it later. But what we all
- 22:00Speaker 4: got on the boat, and you know, I saw Brody
- 22:02Speaker 4: and you know, I don't think I ever told you
- 22:05Speaker 4: the story, but like a very funny story is about
- 22:07Speaker 4: three weeks before we all left. I don't know if
- 22:10Speaker 4: you ever heard this story, but I was talking to Denise,
- 22:13Speaker 4: I know, Denise Richards. She was doing my One Bad
- 22:15Speaker 4: Movie podcast, and all of a sudden, like three weeks
- 22:18Speaker 4: before we're going, I'm talking to her about this and
- 22:20Speaker 4: that and just work and this and that, and she
- 22:23Speaker 4: turns around. She goes, oh, heck, I'm sorry I didn't
- 22:25Speaker 4: call you back, but I've been really crazy and this
- 22:27Speaker 4: thing just came through and I got to go to
- 22:29Speaker 4: London in like three weeks. And it's this reality show,
- 22:32Speaker 4: like this military thing, and I really can't talk about
- 22:34Speaker 4: it and I already signed. So I turned around and
- 22:37Speaker 4: I go, oh, wow, sounds so like so much fun.
- 22:40Speaker 4: Is it like a boot camp? She's like, well, no,
- 22:42Speaker 4: it's not really that. I can't talk about it. I said,
- 22:44Speaker 4: oh great, it shoots in London. She goes, no, no,
- 22:46Speaker 4: we meet in London's and then we go to Wales.
- 22:48Speaker 4: I go, oh, my gosh, I can't believe it. I
- 22:53Speaker 4: say nothing, Trista.
- 22:55Speaker 1: No way.
- 22:56Speaker 4: I called the producers to go, hey, man, I know
- 22:58Speaker 4: Denise Richard's other shit. It was hysterical. And then when
- 23:03Speaker 4: we got on the boat the first day, she walks
- 23:06Speaker 4: out to me, she goes, you're such an asshole.
- 23:10Speaker 5: I was literally standing.
- 23:12Speaker 2: I was standing right there when you came up to her,
- 23:15Speaker 2: and she was like, why didn't you say anything.
- 23:18Speaker 4: When we were all gathering on that first day where
- 23:20Speaker 4: everybody was when it first started, when we all first
- 23:23Speaker 4: started trickling on the boat. Yep, Cam came on the
- 23:27Speaker 4: boat and he had that big hat on. Yep, and
- 23:30Speaker 4: he comes on the boat and he sits down and
- 23:33Speaker 4: I thought he was security, oh because he had those
- 23:37Speaker 4: glasses on. He had these glasses and a six foot whatever.
- 23:41Speaker 4: I don't know how big the guy is. So I
- 23:43Speaker 4: got like to go where nobody else is. So I
- 23:45Speaker 4: go over to the guy by himself, the tall security guy.
- 23:48Speaker 4: Oh maybe he needs a little chat, you know what
- 23:50Speaker 4: I mean. I'm sitting there and I'm sitting there and
- 23:53Speaker 4: I literally like sit down next to him like this.
- 23:54Speaker 4: I'm like, hey, buddy, what's your name? He goes, Cam, Yeah,
- 24:02Speaker 4: And I'm sitting here going watch. Mean, I literally go,
- 24:08Speaker 4: that's Cam Newton. But that's my favorite moment because he
- 24:12Speaker 4: was just so sweet about it. They're going, oh my god, fella,
- 24:15Speaker 4: what's your name? He's like, I'm a legend. I'm like,
- 24:19Speaker 4: oh are you? Here's adorable. Here's adorable. Funny.
- 24:25Speaker 1: That is so funny.
- 24:26Speaker 3: You guys had some big names on the show too.
- 24:28Speaker 3: I mean, obviously you in the actor world. You had
- 24:30Speaker 3: a lot of athletes on there that were like, I mean,
- 24:32Speaker 3: Golden Tate, I mean, what a crew you guys had, Yeah,
- 24:37Speaker 3: Marion Jones, I mean, my god.
- 24:39Speaker 4: She had people with great physical ability. But then you
- 24:42Speaker 4: also have some people that, you know, mentally and psychologically,
- 24:46Speaker 4: were these scrappers. You know, you didn't think you were
- 24:49Speaker 4: going to see, you know, rise to the occasion. Yeah,
- 24:53Speaker 4: the fabulous twist.
- 24:59Speaker 1: She's got a little.
- 25:00Speaker 2: You're so sweet, Stephen. I mean, I feel like I
- 25:05Speaker 2: just wanted to go in and try it, and like
- 25:08Speaker 2: you were saying, you.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Just got to go try it.
- 25:10Speaker 2: At first, I don't know what your first reaction was
- 25:12Speaker 2: when they called you, but Mine was.
- 25:15Speaker 5: Hell, no, are you kidding me? Why would you want me?
- 25:19Speaker 4: Yeah? Well, I just said, because whenever you do this
- 25:23Speaker 4: kind of thing, I'm not going to be ask myself
- 25:26Speaker 4: about it. You know, I'll do certain things if they're
- 25:29Speaker 4: going to pay you for the risk or this or
- 25:31Speaker 4: that or you yeah, they like they should reward you
- 25:33Speaker 4: for whatever it is you're going to do. Totally on
- 25:36Speaker 4: this one, only because I really had a sense as
- 25:42Speaker 4: an athlete myself and having done stunts and movies and
- 25:45Speaker 4: I've seen the show and you can get hurt doing
- 25:48Speaker 4: this show. So it wasn't the money. It definitely wasn't
- 25:51Speaker 4: the money to do Special Forces. It was that thing
- 25:55Speaker 4: you said, Trista, which is just it's that it you
- 25:58Speaker 4: can't scratch. It's that's you know, self curiosity. You know,
- 26:03Speaker 4: how hard can it be and you can't there's only
- 26:06Speaker 4: one way to find out.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Yeah, trist that you said something I liked when you
- 26:10Speaker 3: when you never talked about this.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I want to see Stephen.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Feels the same way Trista had said, you know, because
- 26:14Speaker 3: I was like, is it like a competition show where
- 26:16Speaker 3: you're you know, you're you're you're She's like, yeah, you're
- 26:18Speaker 3: competing with yourself, And I thought that was really interesting
- 26:21Speaker 3: that that she saw it that way. Did you see
- 26:23Speaker 3: it the same way? Was it more of a you
- 26:25Speaker 3: versus you type of situation?
- 26:27Speaker 4: You know when it comes to reality. I've done a
- 26:30Speaker 4: lot of reality stuff in thirty years, so I have
- 26:34Speaker 4: a little bit of a PTSD when it comes to yeah,
- 26:38Speaker 4: I I I, well, my phone calls with the producers
- 26:41Speaker 4: before Special Forces was just like I didn't believe a
- 26:45Speaker 4: word of it, you know, I mean, whatever, the it's
- 26:47Speaker 4: you against yourself. You know, it'll be very psychologically challenging.
- 26:51Speaker 4: And you know the Special Forces, you know, they get
- 26:53Speaker 4: held underwater until they pass out, and you know it'll
- 26:56Speaker 4: be dangerous. I'm sitting there going they're saying that, and
- 27:00Speaker 4: then like you know, my brother Alex is gonna come
- 27:01Speaker 4: in on a zip line or something, you know, like
- 27:03Speaker 4: you know, you know who knows, you know what I mean.
- 27:07Speaker 4: I just there's going to be some other stuff. But
- 27:09Speaker 4: it really legitimately was this no nonsense. You know, these
- 27:15Speaker 4: guys came in to just really push us what beyond anything? Absolutely,
- 27:21Speaker 4: And I've done military training before for films with a
- 27:25Speaker 4: guy named Dale Die who owns a company called Warriors Incorporated.
- 27:28Speaker 4: They they trained everybody, excuse me for the movie Platoon
- 27:33Speaker 4: with Charlie She Yeah, yeah, so I worked. I worked
- 27:37Speaker 4: with that company twice. And but again that's you can't
- 27:41Speaker 4: compare the training they give you militarily for a movie
- 27:45Speaker 4: to play a soldier to what we just did in
- 27:47Speaker 4: Special Forces. There's no comparison. This was legitimately either you
- 27:52Speaker 4: do it or you can't do it, and if you
- 27:54Speaker 4: can't do it, you're out right. Gosh.
- 27:57Speaker 2: It definitely was a challenge, but I do think, yes,
- 28:00Speaker 2: it was a challenge against myself. But thinking about it too,
- 28:04Speaker 2: even though it wasn't like a challenge where one person
- 28:07Speaker 2: is going to get kicked off, I feel like you
- 28:10Speaker 2: kind of want to step up and do as well
- 28:13Speaker 2: as everybody else. So it does push you if you have,
- 28:17Speaker 2: you know, a competitive bone in your body. And I
- 28:19Speaker 2: for sure did. I know you have to go. I
- 28:22Speaker 2: wish we could talk more, but I know you have
- 28:24Speaker 2: to go. So thank you so much.
- 28:26Speaker 4: Well, thank you. I have to get back to my granddaughter.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you go, I like it. I like it.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Family first, Well, hope, y'all. Yeah, if I'm out in La,
- 28:36Speaker 4: I'm going to see the gang and the kids and
- 28:38Speaker 4: all that. But I'd love to come back on love
- 28:42Speaker 4: to have you talk after ye at some point in February.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Where do you live? Where are y'all live?
- 28:48Speaker 2: Where are you I'm in Denver, so but I'm coming
- 28:52Speaker 2: out to La you know, for press and stuff randomly. Okay,
- 28:57Speaker 2: but yeah, I would We would love to have you on.
- 29:00Speaker 4: I'm starting up the season two of One Bad Movie
- 29:03Speaker 4: in February. Fun nice with the filming and all that,
- 29:07Speaker 4: so I'll circle back with you about getting you getting
- 29:11Speaker 4: you on the podcast as well.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Well. I would love that, would love it.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Thanks for being a part of that almost famous ogs.
- 29:18Speaker 1: We appreciate it.
- 29:19Speaker 4: Thank you, thank you, thank you. And I'm dead serious.
- 29:23Speaker 4: Let's do it again whenever it makes sense to me.
- 29:25Speaker 4: I mean, how soon in the cycle could we do it?
- 29:27Speaker 4: Can we do it again, like after the show airs.
- 29:30Speaker 5: After the show starts, Yeah, for sure.
- 29:31Speaker 2: And it's only five shows so there's not a lot
- 29:36Speaker 2: of shows. But we'd love to chat again.
- 29:38Speaker 5: For sure.
- 29:39Speaker 2: We might just do a little color commentary for for Oh,
- 29:42Speaker 2: we're doing that.
- 29:43Speaker 5: We're doing recaps after.
- 29:45Speaker 4: Every Yes, do it on your show? Yeah, Yeah, I'd
- 29:52Speaker 4: love to do a recapit.
