  the last last episodes of this saga, um and you know the water Water

  seven and these lobbies. So it's like this has happened with a couple of

  other like content creators who like read books and stuff, and at some point

  they'll run across this comment, you know, sort of like you know,
• 2:31
  one piece is the Wheel of Time of anime manga, and they just go
• 2:36
  kind of and like this is this is the saga where it's just like,
• 2:42
  oh no, there is actually something crazy big and deep that is super well
• 2:47
  thought out, and it's just like you know, stuff like you know,
• 2:52
  the introduction of like Lupy's dad and how that was back in chapter one hundred,
• 2:55
  and it's just like you realize you have been all these seeds planted.

  And it's also just kind of you know, the most brilliant like emotional crescendo
• 3:05
  of the series so far, like that that whole stretch leading up to Robin's
• 3:08
  moment, and so, I don't know, it's it's really kind of the
• 3:10
  saga that I think takes the series up to like a new level. And

  you know, so it's the last episode of that. There's this kind of
• 3:19
  setup where the narrator at the ends is like, you know, this is
• 3:22
  going to be like this crazy event that like you know, goes down in
• 3:24
  history and everything. Whenever the narrator chimes in, I'm always like, oh,
• 3:29
  okay, we're getting serious then, because he's not around very often.

  Yeah, so I think, uh, I don't know, it's it's a
• 3:36
  nice time to have kind of a discussion and a retrospective and and just kind
• 3:38
  of you know, what are you know, And it's also always fun to
• 3:43
  like try to talk to somebody when you know, like the next seven hundred
• 3:46
  chapters of material. And so there's that game where it's just it's just like,
• 3:50
  you know, what questions are there, but making sure to kind of
• 3:53
  like cut out any of that extra perspective you have, which sometimes is just
• 3:57
  going to be me going like oh oh yeah, I'm very familiar with that
• 4:00
  game. Yeah, it's a really it's a balancing act between like asking questions
• 4:05
  that will lead them in interesting directions while not also asking questions that make it
• 4:11
  very obvious. This is something they should pay attention to because that ruined the
• 4:15
  surprise yet for sure, And that's one of the things best that too,

  is like there will be like a gag and it's just like, is this
• 4:25
  just a gag or is this going to be super serious and I should really
• 4:28
  like know what this is happening with. Yeah, okay, And I want
• 4:31
  to mention too. I wasn't ready for this, but I realized, like

  Netflix, when you reach the end of a series, oh yeah, they
• 4:41
  end the episode and then there's no like play next episode obviously, and then
• 4:46
  that series disappears from your like watch more list, you know. Oh And
• 4:54
  I didn't realize that this is as far as the episodes have reached on Netflix.

  So I don't know if there's you know, news about when more of

  the episodes are going to be available, because some people were like aware that
• 5:06
  there were more coming in the last wait that I had sort of between and

  I don't know if I have to subscribe to crunchy roll now or if they're

  on Hulu. I'll look into it, but I'm pretty much going to give
• 5:19
  up on having the dub version easily available to me for now. Yeah,

  Funimation is the website that does them. I think they've been partnered with Hulu,
• 5:30
  so that makes me think Hulu might have it or the Funimation site.

  You can probably get the dub up to its current which is its unsubscription or

  you know, crunchy Roll obviously does have it, but you would have to

  you would have to switch to subs for that. Yeah. I tried doing

  Funimation way back, and I don't know what the deal was, but their

  apps never I had to watch from my computer. It did not work on

  my television, it didn't work on mobile. It was really frustrating. So

  I don't know if I'm going to be able to make that work this time

  because I have a different TV now, but it's an older one actually,

  because it's a hand me down, so maybe even worse. Who knows Gus

  is asking a Fundimation merged with crunchy role. They keeps They've been saying for

  literally three years that they're merging and that everything is going to be on crunchy

  roll and it still has not happened as far as I know, so I'm

  sort of like not holding my breath on that ever being successful at this point.

  But anyway, episode Okay, I mentioned that I think the new name

  is cursed. Yeah, what is that about? Is sunny thousand thousand sunny?

  So right there, I think is a really good example of why I

  don't like it, and it may grow on me. I think that the

  fact that I can't remember which word comes first, because either way it doesn't
• 6:58
  really make any sense at all all is kind of part of why I'm just

  like what And also the fact that it doesn't have anything to do with lions,
• 7:05
  which I got my hopes up very much that we're going to have like
• 7:09
  a title that went with the look of the ship. But I shouldn't be
• 7:13
  that surprised because the going Mary was also a really weird name, and eventually
• 7:17
  just calling it the Mary like that did grow on me. I don't know,
• 7:24
  this is kind of a spoiler, like does it get do do people
• 7:27
  tend to call it one of the two words mostly the sunny the sunny?

  Okay, I think I can deal with the sunny. Yeah, Yeah,

  that's better by itself, I think. And it's kind of that thing,

  and I think this kind of happens with the Going Mary too, Like it's
• 7:41
  got the face that's got that little smile, and it's a cute smile,
• 7:44
  right, So just every once in a while you're with the crew and you
• 7:46
  look over and the ship's got it's a little smile to face there, and
• 7:48
  you're like, thousand Sunny, all right, let's go. You know.

  Yeah, the design of the ship is still so weird, but I really
• 7:56
  like it better than the Mary's, Like in terms of I know a lot
• 8:01
  of people thought it was a flower. I think it's very recognizably a lion.

  I think it's like, you know, I don't know, it has
• 8:07
  that act, yes exactly. But the Mary's like weird. I had that
• 8:13
  just thing in my head about how this dude sculptured himself onto their ship and
• 8:18
  I could not get over it. So the fact that this is kind of
• 8:22
  not actually anybody specifically, I actually kind of like that better. So I
• 8:28
  think it's going to grow on me. But when they said the thousand Sonny
• 8:33
  was very clear like that was the name they were going to go with.

  As soon as he said it, and I was like, but what I
• 8:39
  will say though, obviously the names like Lufy is suggesting are not better.

  So if I was going to pick between only things that they mentioned on the
• 8:46
  show, then yes, I'm gonna go with the remind me a thousand sonny
• 8:52
  Sonny thousand thousand. Okay, Okay. So the episode picks up right where
• 9:03
  we left off, where they are fleeing from his grandfather's cannonballs, and I
• 9:11
  was really like, not sure. I didn't think about the fact that likely
• 9:16
  this was going to be a moment where we got to showcase the abilities of
• 9:20
  the ship, and I should have thought of that. But even if I
• 9:26
  had thought of that, what it turns out to be is not something that
• 9:30
  I would have predicted. Right, Frankie has built in thrusters basically so it
• 9:37
  can fly. I think he's just from one kilometer only that's what he says.

  It is presumably around that distance. It's fueled by kola also, like
• 9:50
  he is, is that right? I don't know why, but I just
• 9:52
  love that. This is just a weird what a weird choice. But yeah,

  the weapon that his grandfather gets out, what is this called this giant
• 10:07
  ass cannonball? On? I don't even want to call it a chain.

  It's like it's like on one of those arms that sort of flattens, like

  what I imagine is in a Looney tune when a gloved fist comes out of

  something and punches you. It's on one of those sorts of things. Actually,

  I don't know what the word for that is. I don't either.

  Yeah, this thing is so absurd, and honestly I got agitated watching it
• 10:41
  coming towards their ship because there's like no way they're getting away from it.

  And it felt very unfair Frankly that he was able to use this thing that
• 10:50
  shouldn't even technically fit on their ship. But that's fine, this dude is
• 10:56
  out of control though. It's like one of those there's so many moments in
• 11:00
  one piece, whereas if you just like write it out as a sentence,
• 11:03
  it's like the most ridiculous out of contexting ever. And then they use their
• 11:07
  Coca Cola rocket to get away from the giant cannonball, extend to arm the
• 11:13
  cannonball larger than the ship they are standing on, firing it from. Yeah,
• 11:20
  yeah, this whole thing is it's just very fun to see Frankie get
• 11:26
  to like show off what he can do. We get a flashback in the
• 11:31
  midst of this of him like coming up with names, and we find out
• 11:35
  that the name thousand Son he was suggested by Iceberg because everybody thought it was
• 11:43
  either a sun or a flower, I think, and I think he was
• 11:46
  just sort of trying to poke at Frankie a little bit, to be honest,
• 11:50
  I feel like he was just trying to irritate him a little bit,
• 11:54
  but being like, yeah, well, you know, the sun, It's
• 11:56
  obviously not anything other than a sun, like you keep saying, um.
• 12:03
  And then we go to a sort of montage around everywhere our characters have come
• 12:13
  from and see the reaction that their friends and or family left behind are having
• 12:24
  to seeing their their wanted posters newes. Yeah, yeah, this is really
• 12:30
  fun. We've done one of these before, right, yeah, sort of
• 12:35
  circling back Yeah yeah, um right, when they like, I'm pretty sure
• 12:39
  it's their like their first set of bounties, they get um. And then
• 12:43
  there's the one after Alabasta where Lufi gets brought up to I think I don't
• 12:50
  know if it was a one hundred or one hundred twenty or one hundred and
• 12:52
  fifties something like that, and then and then now okay, and yeah,
• 12:58
  this is actually really fun. It's just always like nice to see that the
• 13:01
  people that they used to know still kind of like matter. I don't even
• 13:07
  know if matters the right word, because like how much do they really matter
• 13:09
  plot wise? Maybe they matter a lot more than I realize, But it's
• 13:13
  just nice to like check in with him and feel like they haven't been forgotten
• 13:16
  I guess by the writer, you know. And I can love so much
• 13:22
  the reaction that Sangi's crew has to seeing his poster. You guys, they're
• 13:30
  so like there's simultaneously so proud of him and enjoying this so much more because
• 13:35
  it is such a goofy poster and putting it up with no concern at all
• 13:41
  because they're like nobody is going to recognize him. That was really delightful.

  What is the name of the witch doctor as I call her that Chopper Karreha.

  I cannot remember that name. I don't know why. Even when I
• 13:58
  was covering it, I literally called her by her name like twice because I
• 14:03
  could not remember it. There's a lot, but there's some that like really
• 14:09
  hit, like, you know, I don't know why some of them lodge
• 14:13
  in my brain and I'm like, yeah, I got it, and then
• 14:16
  other ones don't. It's like meeting somebody and they tell you their name is
• 14:18
  Bill, but they don't look like a Bill, and so you just can't
• 14:22
  you know what I mean? Um So this uh like montage. Overall,

  there's not a lot of like new information. There's there's one dude who gets
• 14:35
  mad about how the picture of Nami it is too lude, but he has
• 14:43
  it blown up to roughly the size of a king bed and put on his
• 14:48
  paw. The woman that he's speaking to is this somebody that we know that
• 14:56
  that is her adoptive sister? Oh right, okay, I forgot about her.

  Yeah I remember now finding her lips that are slightly paler than the rest
• 15:07
  of her face. Kind of funny because it looks like she's wearing like very
• 15:11
  nineties lipstick, right right, right? Okay? Cool? And who what's
• 15:18
  the oh oh oh right. The other one I wanted to mention is that
• 15:22
  Usap's friends, even in a literal poster, recognize him, while Lufy and
• 15:30
  Chopper apparently still haven't put two and two together. I guess what's going to
• 15:37
  happen there? We still haven't like had that moment. Are we getting that
• 15:41
  moment? Can you If we're not getting that moment, tell me, I
• 15:46
  will say that the most satisfying thing to me. It's one of those moments
• 15:50
  like, uh, like I mentioned, where at first it's a gag,
• 15:52
  but then it turns out really serious. So the whole time of Enny's lobby,
• 15:56
  Lufy doesn't know that USAP is Sniper King, and USAP without the mask
• 16:03
  showing up is what makes Lufy like get the will to stand up and he's
• 16:08
  like, oh my gosh, USAP you came. And so it's like for
• 16:11
  Lufi it's like his his best friend who hasn't been here the whole time is
• 16:15
  suddenly here. Now now I can stand up and fight and finish, finish
• 16:18
  off Lucci. And then so you can put that together that it's like seeing
• 16:22
  us up without the mask at the time, Oh my god, right,
• 16:26
  okay, yeah, him not knowing it's USAP becomes like a pretty significant thing,
• 16:30
  and then it's just you know, immediately back to you know, so
• 16:36
  uh, you know, if we get Sniper King again at some point in
• 16:40
  the future in the story, then that will that will come up again and
• 16:44
  we either will or we won't. Oh my god, I'm dying, you
• 16:47
  guys. I really am, like, I don't know why this is so
• 16:51
  important to me, but I am desperate for them to figure out that that's
• 16:56
  USAP like. And it's weird because impressing Lofy and Chopper is not hard,

  you know, So I don't know why I'm so desperate for them to understand
• 17:11
  who that really is. I think it's just because I know how much like
• 17:18
  it would mean to us UP for Loofy to be really thrilled at his reveal,
• 17:22
  Like us Up looks up to Lufy in so many ways because of what
• 17:27
  a good fighter he is, and if if Lufy were to follow all over
• 17:33
  himself and be like, oh my god, I can't believe you're Sniper King,
• 17:36
  that is the coolest, which is fully what I expect his reaction to
• 17:38
  be. I think that is just going to mean so much to us UP
• 17:42
  and I want him to like get that moment. I really want it for
• 17:45
  him. It feels like when you watch a nineties sort of team comedy and
• 17:52
  there's a girl that's definitely gonna get a makeover and be super hot, and
• 17:56
  you just have to sit through everybody like being shipped to her and her dressing
• 18:02
  really badly, and you're like, I just I can't wait for the reveal.

  I can't wait for her to come out and like look amazing, and
• 18:07
  everybody shut their mouths, even though, let's be real, she was hot
• 18:11
  from the beginning and nobody is surprised. But that's kind of how I'm like,

  I just want the satisfying reveal very very badly for him. I can't
• 18:22
  believe we haven't had it yet. Yeah, legit, I really didn't think
• 18:26
  he was going to have rejoined the crew without that having happened, and the
• 18:30
  fact that he is with them and hasn't told them yet because I'm assuming he
• 18:37
  doesn't think he has to tell them, right, and you know, because
• 18:41
  it's the whole Silkiking thing was partly a shame thing. It was, you
• 18:47
  know, I'm I'm I'm ashamed to go back and be with them without having
• 18:52
  you know, made his apology, which he ends up you know, having
• 18:55
  to make and stuff, and so yeah, it's um, you know,
• 19:00
  his inner arc with his you know, self confidence and all of that stuff,

  for sure has made progress but is not completely resolved yet. M Yeah,

  I guess that's true. I just really like he has come so far,

  and I you guys know, his storyline just crushed me to the point

  that I wasn't seeing things from Zoro's perspective at all and was fully ready to

  just forgive him and forget everything. So at this point I'm just like,

  well, there's a cat. I'm sorry, guys, I was listening.

  There's a cat that just poked their head on the screen. Can you introduce

  this to the cat? Just really cool. The cat's name is Yuki.

  Um. She is very antisocial, and so that might be like, you

  know, no amount of and scratching furniture will get her to come over if

  she doesn't want to, So well, hi, Yuki. Maybe again.

  At some point she pooked her head and saw that she was Cameron was like,

  flashback or not flashback the montage specifically that you wanted to mention where we check

  in with all the other friends. No, I mean it's mostly kind of

  like like what you said, you know, the only the only other ones

  we get, you know, another glimpse briefly of Dragon, but um,

  you know, other than that, Yeah, yes, I forgot about that

  because that's like sort of at the end of things, and I ought to

  say, I thought he looked really different, and maybe it's just like because

  he didn't have his hood on this time. The only time that we've seen

  his face so far was from under a hood right when he was like up
• 20:47
  was it Smoker that he was talking to? So see, this is gonna

  sound weird, but seeing his hairline and like the rest of his face,
• 20:59
  like his chin as well, out of shadow, he just looks way different

  than I expected because it aged him a lot. Like he's got a sort
• 21:08
  of scruffy little beard, he's got a widow's peak, but it's just odd
• 21:15
  looking. And overall there's like a sort of cast under his eyes, like
• 21:22
  what I call this is the omen cast, because it's that sort of like
• 21:26
  makeup like dark under circle kind of thing that is done to children and horror
• 21:32
  movies a lot to signal that they're like not great, that they're probably either
• 21:37
  possessed or evil or whatever. It's sort of that look a little bit.

  So he's looking a lot more ominous in this, whereas in the shot with
• 21:48
  Smoker he just looked kind of manic as ominous as any hooded figure in a
• 21:55
  storm would look, you know, not really that distinct, Yeah, exactly.

  There was just nothing like specific about it. It was I don't know.

  There was something about the smile as well that he was giving him that
• 22:06
  was just sort of really reminded me of Ace and made him seem sort of
• 22:08
  like funner, I guess, for lack of a better word, he just

  seemed a little bit more And maybe he is. But in this shot when

  we see him, he's got like a grin on his face. That doesn't
• 22:22
  bode well for anyone, And it did translate the subtitle for me the World's
• 22:27
  most heinous criminal Revolutionist Dragon Monkey d Dragon. Yeah, and that is the

  last shot of that episode. And there there is this thing that happens where
• 22:41
  a lot of the characters early on have one design, and then when they
• 22:45
  get reintroduced and become more prominent, they have a slightly altered design. So
• 22:49
  it might be a little bit of both there where he's he kind of iterated
• 22:52
  on his design. Interesting, I want to do a side by side Now

  I'm interested coming quite as much until like, wait, you know, quite
• 23:02
  a bit later. But but yeah, certain characters I keep thinking that we're

  like a good way into the series and having to remind myself that we're like
• 23:11
  a third of the way in kind of basically about a third. Yeah,

  um, the Florian saying we also see Viv and Lufy's hometown. Yeah,

  well that was what I was saying, Like, is there anything specific,

  because I'm guessing that what Shane wants to talk about really is the next episode

  mostly, So yeah, I don't think there's anything else specific other than you

  know, getting to actually just see people's reactions, which which, like you

  said, it's always it's always fun to like see everybody back home being you

  know, proud, proud of our crew. M whoop slap. Gus is

  that the author does in the manga every volume. Um, the when Sandi's

  first in Baratier and the Marine dude uh finds a soup and finds a fly

  in a soup. The fly's name is Bacchi. Would have named the fly

  that was in the soup that was in that episode, and his name is

  Bocchi. And it's very important that we recognize Bocchi. He has a name.

  He deserves recognition. I don't even know what to say, right,

  yeah, I'm struck dumb, all right, Bocchi. It is r I

  slap is a great gag because he was pushed forward by a forum, so

  he made it to the top in one of the character popularity contests. He

  a character popularity polls that like are like official by shown and jumped done in

  Japan and stuff. And there was a forum that kind of like crowdsourced campaign

  to get whoop slap, you know, a lot of votes in the character

  popularity poll and it worked. So he was randomly just like in the top
• 25:52
  like twenty or thirty or something. One time. That's really fun is whoop

  Slap up here? It's okay, excuse me, everybody. I think we

  all should agree that Bocci should have been one of the biggest most popular characters.

  reading the newspaper is the one that's got the like scope I thing. Um,
