- 0:43Speaker 5: trying to hang on man, trying to keep my.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Face on TV.
- 0:45Speaker 5: Man, you stay breaking something that's stop. That's just you.
- 0:49Speaker 5: You know, you know how to make it happen.
- 0:51Speaker 3: I'm trying to learn. I'm trying to learn.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Oh you learn your lesson?
- 0:54Speaker 2: Well, I watch you. I check you out. I'm always
- 0:56Speaker 2: you know, I'm always watching you. You learn your lesson?
- 0:58Speaker 1: Well? Yeah?
- 1:00Speaker 2: Hey, look man, regular season finale, and you know what
- 1:03Speaker 2: the big story is. I know you guys talked about
- 1:05Speaker 2: it on your post game show on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
- 1:09Speaker 2: We talked about it on on our postgame show with
- 1:11Speaker 2: me and Seth joining Mark Farsetta. The two seed was
- 1:16Speaker 2: still out there, very much in the balance. As luck
- 1:20Speaker 2: would have it, Detroit beat the Chicago Bears. Nick Sirianni
- 1:25Speaker 2: decides to stay with his subs and lo and behold,
- 1:28Speaker 2: we saw what happened. Now going into that game, what
- 1:32Speaker 2: was your mindset in terms of Nick Sirianni deciding not
- 1:36Speaker 2: to play as regulars.
- 1:37Speaker 3: You know, I'm an old school guy.
- 1:39Speaker 5: I think that you need to you need to go
- 1:41Speaker 5: into the season hot, and I wanted them to play.
- 1:44Speaker 5: And then I heard Nick say what he said, and
- 1:50Speaker 5: then I started thinking about it. And because I spent
- 1:52Speaker 5: a little time with those guys, the guys are front,
- 1:55Speaker 5: you know, Jordan Mylotta, seeing Cam Jurgens and seeing you know,
- 2:01Speaker 5: Lanna Dickerson, and I was like, I see why he's
- 2:04Speaker 5: doing it. I understand why he's doing it because I'm
- 2:07Speaker 5: privy to those guys and I see him. I saw
- 2:09Speaker 5: him at a Chicken Peeks. I saw him, you know,
- 2:11Speaker 5: and you know, just out and about.
- 2:14Speaker 3: They are the walking wounded, you know.
- 2:16Speaker 5: Even though Jordan my Loot is not on the injury report,
- 2:20Speaker 5: he is held together by duct tape and bubble gum.
- 2:24Speaker 5: I mean, there's not much that you know, you know,
- 2:27Speaker 5: that keeping him from being in that in that in
- 2:30Speaker 5: that blue tin. So he didn't you know, he been
- 2:32Speaker 5: doing the yeoman's job, going out there fighting every single play.
- 2:35Speaker 5: But Jordan Allott is, you know, the walking wounded. We
- 2:38Speaker 5: all know Lander Dickerson his knee and his ankle. You know,
- 2:41Speaker 5: he needs to get healthy also. And and Cam Jurgens
- 2:45Speaker 5: he's probably had a bad season because he just doesn't
- 2:49Speaker 5: have a back. I mean to put it playing and
- 2:54Speaker 5: on us his back is is is you know, I mean,
- 2:58Speaker 5: it seemed like they just took some took some thread
- 3:00Speaker 5: and just sold it together.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Man, because he's trying.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Man, he's trying man, you know, he's he's and it's
- 3:06Speaker 5: hard for him to redirect because his body's in health
- 3:08Speaker 5: and health. So when he said rest and I thought
- 3:10Speaker 5: about seeing those guys and talking to those guys, I
- 3:13Speaker 5: see why the coach did it.
- 3:14Speaker 3: You know, I understand you know, wanting to get that
- 3:16Speaker 3: second seed. Understand it.
- 3:17Speaker 5: You can go in and and and the possibility if
- 3:21Speaker 5: somebody beating the you know, the the Seattle Seahawks. You
- 3:27Speaker 5: were in the driver's seat to.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Have all your games at home going into the Super Bowl.
- 3:32Speaker 5: So I get it. I definitely get it. But then
- 3:34Speaker 5: I looked at it from another vantage point. What team
- 3:38Speaker 5: do you fear in the NFC? I said no, So
- 3:42Speaker 5: to me, it really didn't make a different.
- 3:43Speaker 3: School they played or where they played.
- 3:46Speaker 5: I think the running game will travel and because these
- 3:49Speaker 5: guys are healthier. This is the reason why I think
- 3:51Speaker 5: that running game will be a lot better because the
- 3:54Speaker 5: health of this offensive line, and plus when you add
- 3:57Speaker 5: that one plus one with the quarterback, I think health
- 4:01Speaker 5: was the best thing that they could have. Dou Jaalen
- 4:03Speaker 5: got through the season without missing the game. He's healthy
- 4:06Speaker 5: off the line should be healthy coming back. They get
- 4:09Speaker 5: laying back for the first time in about what six weeks?
- 4:12Speaker 3: Seven weeks? This is what I'm thinking.
- 4:15Speaker 5: You know, everything's coming together to start functioning as an
- 4:18Speaker 5: offensive unit that can go out and play and score
- 4:22Speaker 5: more than ten points a game.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Here was my mindset going in.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I'm thinking, at least play the starters the first half,
- 4:30Speaker 2: because I honestly feel if you look at the way
- 4:33Speaker 2: that the backups played against Washington, if Washington had to
- 4:36Speaker 2: fight tooth and nail just to get that win, I
- 4:38Speaker 2: think if the regulars that played the first thirty minutes,
- 4:40Speaker 2: they would have built a double digit lead, and then
- 4:42Speaker 2: you pull them and let them close to the finish line,
- 4:44Speaker 2: and then low and behold was sitting here with the
- 4:46Speaker 2: two seed. I understand the value and the importance of
- 4:49Speaker 2: the rest. I'm not against that one ioda. I Am
- 4:52Speaker 2: not going to sit here and crushing Nick Sirianni for
- 4:54Speaker 2: making that decision as well. But we saw what happened
- 4:56Speaker 2: a season ago. They were the two seed. Everybody thought
- 5:00Speaker 2: super Bowl went through Detroit. Detroit was decimated at the
- 5:03Speaker 2: end of the year, and Washington blew him up, and
- 5:05Speaker 2: all of a sudden, the super Bowl comes through Philadelphia.
- 5:07Speaker 2: So I thought that would have been a similar scenario,
- 5:10Speaker 2: and Lloyd behole Detroit pulls it out. But the problem
- 5:16Speaker 2: I had, more so than anything when the game unfolded,
- 5:20Speaker 2: was you let DeVonta Smith go out there to play
- 5:22Speaker 2: nine snaps to get his one thousand yards, you know,
- 5:25Speaker 2: and he ran safe routes. Okay, I get it, because
- 5:28Speaker 2: they were giving him a lot of cushion, But still,
- 5:30Speaker 2: what if Washington had to decide to take a cheap
- 5:32Speaker 2: shot on him. They were still you know, we remember
- 5:34Speaker 2: what they did last time with the two point conversion
- 5:36Speaker 2: mentality all that stuff. You know, that was a little
- 5:39Speaker 2: risk factor, but you got him in, you got him out,
- 5:40Speaker 2: you got him over the thousand low and behol. I
- 5:43Speaker 2: just don't understand the inconsistency in the ideology between you know,
- 5:48Speaker 2: Nick Sirianni and I'm assuming Jeffrey Loury and Howie Roseman.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I'm sure they had to say so on this as well.
- 5:55Speaker 5: Yeah, but let me tell you this, it's a different
- 5:57Speaker 5: scenario than what you saw with Saquon last year. Let
- 6:00Speaker 5: me put that out there, because you know, in order
- 6:02Speaker 5: for Saquan to get his you know, break the record,
- 6:05Speaker 5: he didn't like one hundred and some yard one hundred
- 6:06Speaker 5: and five yards to win the rushing title and be
- 6:10Speaker 5: the number one, you know rusher in one season.
- 6:12Speaker 3: I understand that.
- 6:14Speaker 5: But in order to do that, you could probably go
- 6:16Speaker 5: into the third quarter and uh, you have to play everybody.
- 6:20Speaker 3: You got to play all your starters if he's in
- 6:21Speaker 3: the game.
- 6:22Speaker 1: You know that.
- 6:22Speaker 5: And it's a different from a receiver where you know
- 6:25Speaker 5: you're running your routes and you know they're gonna try
- 6:27Speaker 5: to force the ball to you. So I thought that
- 6:29Speaker 5: was different. I really truly believe that. You know, Nick
- 6:33Speaker 5: wanted the two thousand yard receivers. They wanted him to
- 6:37Speaker 5: get you know, a thousand yards again, you know, for
- 6:40Speaker 5: his career. Uh, you know, this would be the second time.
- 6:43Speaker 5: And you know, I didn't really feel any type of
- 6:47Speaker 5: way if they did or they did, I didn't feel
- 6:49Speaker 5: any type of way. You know, he said at the game.
- 6:51Speaker 5: You know that they talked about it and they didn't
- 6:53Speaker 5: mind it. But I I just know that even if
- 6:57Speaker 5: he didn't go out there and get in, I thought
- 6:59Speaker 5: it was the same rot to get those guys. And
- 7:01Speaker 5: and I listened to you and I Seth, and I
- 7:04Speaker 5: was thinking along the same lines, because I think you
- 7:06Speaker 5: need a little bit going into the playoffs.
- 7:08Speaker 3: You know, some some consistenty going to the playoffs.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Some you know, and and those guys didn't play well
- 7:13Speaker 5: enough to really get a break to go into the playoffs.
- 7:16Speaker 3: You know, I see that also.
- 7:18Speaker 5: But when I see the rash of injuries these guys
- 7:20Speaker 5: have had and they sustained this entire year, especially the
- 7:23Speaker 5: office of line who hasn't played well because of that,
- 7:26Speaker 5: I was good with it, and I really didn't you know,
- 7:29Speaker 5: I really wasn't mad that they did it, you know,
- 7:31Speaker 5: and and I was, but I was also able to
- 7:35Speaker 5: internalize them not being the second seed because I knew,
- 7:39Speaker 5: I kind of knew that Campbell coach Campbell was gonna
- 7:43Speaker 5: go in, you know, my former teammate, you know, he
- 7:45Speaker 5: was gonna go in, and he was gonna give those
- 7:47Speaker 5: guys a little more juice than they were gonna win
- 7:48Speaker 5: the game. I truly thought they were gonna beat beat
- 7:51Speaker 5: the Bears, anyways, I did. I truly thought they were
- 7:54Speaker 5: gonna beat them. And and you know, in my heart, I
- 7:56Speaker 5: knew they were gonna beat them, But I just didn't
- 7:58Speaker 5: think that you can guarantee rest all what they say.
- 8:01Speaker 5: You can guarantee rest, but you can't guarantee the second seed.
- 8:04Speaker 5: I didn't even care about that. I didn't care about that.
- 8:07Speaker 5: I just wanted these guys to go into the playoffs
- 8:09Speaker 5: because I didn't think that there was a dominant team
- 8:14Speaker 5: in the NFC that could stop this roster. I just
- 8:17Speaker 5: think they have the best roster football still. And the
- 8:20Speaker 5: lack of discipline early in the season, I mean later
- 8:22Speaker 5: in the season, and the lack of health really made
- 8:26Speaker 5: them and put them in a position where they weren't
- 8:27Speaker 5: playing well enough, you know, so now that they're going
- 8:31Speaker 5: to be healthier, now they're getting key components back they've
- 8:34Speaker 5: already gotten, you know, Jalen carter back. This could be
- 8:38Speaker 5: some serious, serious, big time football going to this playoffs
- 8:42Speaker 5: and then you know it's winter, go home.
- 8:43Speaker 3: I think they're not gonna be home for a while.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, let's hit. Let's hit Tanna McKey. I think
- 8:50Speaker 2: we can put the rest all this chatter about, right.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Let Tanner McKey play play more and more. And I'm
- 8:56Speaker 2: not bashing Tanner. I mean the games only played a
- 8:59Speaker 2: couple of games in his pro career, you know, and
- 9:02Speaker 2: even though he's out there playing with backups, he's not
- 9:04Speaker 2: even playing with the front line players. He's playing with backup.
- 9:06Speaker 2: That's huge, you know in terms of continuity, consistency, rhythm,
- 9:10Speaker 2: so on and so forth. But you looked at some
- 9:13Speaker 2: of the individual things he did. There was an opportunity
- 9:17Speaker 2: to step up and run and pick him at first down,
- 9:19Speaker 2: he throws the ball, you know, there was one play
- 9:24Speaker 2: where he threw to the sideline on a fourth down situation,
- 9:27Speaker 2: over overthrew, over overthrow grandson, you know, on that particular
- 9:31Speaker 2: and could have kept that drive alive as well. Obviously,
- 9:34Speaker 2: the inexperience showed that reared his ugly head. And again
- 9:38Speaker 2: I go back to he wasn't playing with front line players.
- 9:41Speaker 2: He was playing with guys that were just mixing and
- 9:43Speaker 2: matching and just trying to get to a game unscathed.
- 9:46Speaker 1: You know.
- 9:47Speaker 2: But Tantamackee is nowhere near the talent level of adjailent Hurts.
- 9:52Speaker 2: And that's that's and I'm not comparing them, but you
- 9:54Speaker 2: look at just the skills set alone, there's no comparison
- 9:58Speaker 2: whatsoever right now. I mean, Tanner, Tanner run like you
- 10:02Speaker 2: wearing send the blocks, man. I mean he tried to
- 10:05Speaker 2: take off and run. I think he took like twenty
- 10:07Speaker 2: steps in one spot at one point.
- 10:09Speaker 1: You know. But again, I'm not bashing tep people that
- 10:13Speaker 1: the gun your bashing. Tell no, I'm not.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I'm just telling you put this to rest about Tanner McKee.
- 10:17Speaker 2: He is what he is right now. He's a young
- 10:19Speaker 2: developing quarterback who lacks experience playing.
- 10:22Speaker 5: And simple yeah, he kind of he kind of threw
- 10:25Speaker 5: a wrenching and uh, all these reports that he might
- 10:28Speaker 5: get a second rounder or a third rounder for him,
- 10:31Speaker 5: you know, he's a starting quarter I mean, I get it.
- 10:34Speaker 5: You know, he has all the intangible he has, He
- 10:37Speaker 5: has the tangible tools to look like a great quarterback.
- 10:40Speaker 5: He's six foot six, two hundred and thirty pounds. But
- 10:43Speaker 5: the life experience that he's had during this what three
- 10:46Speaker 5: years here is is something that reared his head, you know.
- 10:49Speaker 5: And I'm not gonna say it's an ugly head, but
- 10:50Speaker 5: it reared his head because he just doesn't have the experience.
- 10:53Speaker 5: And he's playing against their starting defense, yep. And not
- 10:57Speaker 5: to say that their defense is any you know that
- 10:59Speaker 5: the you know standouts, you know what I'm saying, but
- 11:01Speaker 5: I mean they are an NFL defense. Their NFL starters.
- 11:05Speaker 5: Wags is one of the best linebackers in the league.
- 11:07Speaker 5: You know, he's he's old, but he had over like
- 11:10Speaker 5: over one hundred and forty hundred fifty tackles this year
- 11:13Speaker 5: and he played pretty good this last game. Frankie Louv,
- 11:16Speaker 5: the hated Frankie Louv. You know, he was running around
- 11:18Speaker 5: there trying to make sure they didn't win. But I
- 11:22Speaker 5: thought that he played okay.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Yeah, just okay.
- 11:27Speaker 3: He didn't have to say. Man, look at his numbers.
- 11:28Speaker 5: His numbers what was he you know, like for forty two,
- 11:31Speaker 5: he was twenty one for forty or something some crazy
- 11:34Speaker 5: you know, But why is he throwing the ball that much?
- 11:36Speaker 1: Anyway?
- 11:36Speaker 5: Why is he handed the ball off to his running back,
- 11:38Speaker 5: you know, who was averaging six yards of you know,
- 11:42Speaker 5: a carry in the first half, and then all of
- 11:44Speaker 5: a sudden he didn't go with this, you know, not
- 11:46Speaker 5: running the ball consistently in the second half.
- 11:48Speaker 2: You know.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I mean those are the type of things.
- 11:50Speaker 5: That type of decisions make me look at KP Keevip Batula,
- 11:53Speaker 5: Off's coordinator like, I don't care, you know what what's
- 11:57Speaker 5: going on. You still gotta have a running game, and
- 12:00Speaker 5: you know, you got to put in thirteen person that
- 12:03Speaker 5: won't run back, three tight ends to whatever, just forced
- 12:05Speaker 5: them out of what they're doing.
- 12:06Speaker 3: You got to do it.
- 12:07Speaker 5: But you just can't put all that on a young quarterback.
- 12:10Speaker 5: I think he especially with the weapons that he had.
- 12:14Speaker 2: You know, seventeen games into this season, I still don't
- 12:19Speaker 2: know what to make of Nick Sirianni and Kevin Batula.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Now we've heard Sirianni say he was going to have
- 12:25Speaker 2: more input into the offensive structure. He said that weeks ago.
- 12:29Speaker 2: I hope he didn't. And then this past week leading
- 12:33Speaker 2: up to this game, he was at the podium when
- 12:35Speaker 2: he says something along the lines of, you know, well,
- 12:37Speaker 2: if Kevin calls a certain player, I'll go, I'm gonna
- 12:40Speaker 2: change that play. So therefore he has more input. But
- 12:43Speaker 2: what I saw on that field you just alluded to
- 12:46Speaker 2: on Sunday, Why are you throwing the football forty times?
- 12:50Speaker 2: When you got to back tank Bigsby cracking, washing us
- 12:54Speaker 2: back six yards of carry finished four point seven yards
- 12:57Speaker 2: of carr.
- 12:57Speaker 1: You didn't even run the ball of second half.
- 13:00Speaker 2: We got this kid running around, throwing and washing us,
- 13:03Speaker 2: blenching him and go and run him all over the field.
- 13:05Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 13:06Speaker 2: I mean, this has been like a proverbial roller coaster
- 13:09Speaker 2: the entire season. Nobody can figure out what the mindset is.
- 13:13Speaker 2: You know what, Baron, I've always said and you said
- 13:16Speaker 2: this too. By the fourth, at the most fifth game
- 13:20Speaker 2: of a season, you can determine what an offense and
- 13:23Speaker 2: defense's identity is. We're week eighteen, seventeen game season. I
- 13:28Speaker 2: don't know what the heck is the identity of this
- 13:30Speaker 2: offense is, because nothing they do makes sense when it
- 13:34Speaker 2: comes to down in distance.
- 13:36Speaker 5: Well, I'm gonna tell you what the gun. You do know,
- 13:39Speaker 5: you absolutely know what this team is.
- 13:43Speaker 3: What is it? An inconsistent team.
- 13:48Speaker 5: That if they don't play discipline, they can get blown out.
- 13:52Speaker 5: If they do play discipline, they could beat anybody in
- 13:55Speaker 5: the nation. They could beat any team in the NFC
- 13:57Speaker 5: and AFC team if if all they need to do
- 14:02Speaker 5: is because a consistent team that doesn't make mistakes, they
- 14:06Speaker 5: make too many mistakes. If they can run the ball
- 14:08Speaker 5: successfully without penalties and keep the chains moving, they three
- 14:13Speaker 5: and out too much.
- 14:14Speaker 3: And that's what they lack.
- 14:15Speaker 5: They lack discipline, And I've been saying it for the
- 14:17Speaker 5: past fifteen weeks. They lack discipline, discipline and understanding that
- 14:24Speaker 5: you can't abandon the run.
- 14:26Speaker 3: You've got to run the ball.
- 14:27Speaker 5: But you can't run the ball when you're at third
- 14:29Speaker 5: and ten, third, twelve, third and eight. There's only a
- 14:33Speaker 5: few amount of plays with those there, third and ten,
- 14:35Speaker 5: third to eight all it's a few plays. But when
- 14:38Speaker 5: you're third and short, third and manageable, the playbook is
- 14:42Speaker 5: like this. So they don't play consistently enough to really
- 14:47Speaker 5: be a factor on the office side of the ball.
- 14:48Speaker 3: You can't score if you're not on the field.
- 14:51Speaker 5: So this is the time where they need to and
- 14:53Speaker 5: I think a lot of the no, I know, a
- 14:55Speaker 5: lot of the fault goes in with that offensive.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Line playing the way they've been playing. I'll tell you what.
- 15:01Speaker 3: I'm just gonna be real, like Cam Dragon was getting
- 15:03Speaker 3: his ass kick this year. Oh, no question, malatta. Because
- 15:09Speaker 3: they're mean and they're playing hurt.
- 15:11Speaker 5: Now that I see are they're going to do some
- 15:12Speaker 5: self evaluation, self corrections go in.
- 15:16Speaker 3: They play disciplined football, and they're healthier going into this game.
- 15:20Speaker 5: I'm telling you what, and I'm saying this, and you
- 15:22Speaker 5: could tell whoever you want to tell.
- 15:24Speaker 3: It could be a blowout. They can blow the forty
- 15:26Speaker 3: nine ers out. But all they have to do is
- 15:29Speaker 3: play consistent.
- 15:30Speaker 5: Because they're starting two rookie two rookie cornerbacks out there,
- 15:34Speaker 5: two rookie cornerbacks. They don't have Warner out there, one
- 15:38Speaker 5: of the best linebackers in the NFL. He's on ir
- 15:41Speaker 5: They say he might play, but now they've already said
- 15:43Speaker 5: they already cut it through. He's not playing. When you
- 15:47Speaker 5: don't have Bosa out there, you know what I mean.
- 15:51Speaker 5: They Bosa was a game changer and they beat them
- 15:54Speaker 5: with Bosa. Now they have average guys out there. This
- 15:58Speaker 5: should be a d defense that they do whatever they.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Choose to do.
- 16:02Speaker 5: If they want to throw the ball fifty times a game,
- 16:04Speaker 5: the score should be thirty eight to whatever.
- 16:08Speaker 3: If they want to run the ball every play, it
- 16:11Speaker 3: could still be twenty eight to thirteen.
- 16:15Speaker 5: They just need to play consistent discipline football, and they
- 16:19Speaker 5: lack discipline a lot during the game, so that's why
- 16:22Speaker 5: it looks so bad. The discipline is there, and that's
- 16:25Speaker 5: why they're three and out on the officer side of
- 16:26Speaker 5: the ball. I tell people they want these big bruns,
- 16:30Speaker 5: these twenty yard runs, these forty yard runs.
- 16:31Speaker 3: These sixty yard runs. That's good football for you know,
- 16:35Speaker 3: saying the fans everything, but consistent football is three yards,
- 16:41Speaker 3: four yards, five yards. That's a first.
- 16:44Speaker 5: Down, running and grinding on a team, forcing the defense
- 16:48Speaker 5: say all right, we got to put eight men in
- 16:50Speaker 5: the box and we still run it on them and
- 16:52Speaker 5: get first downs. When you do that, that's the worst
- 16:56Speaker 5: thing you can do to a defense. It's run the
- 16:59Speaker 5: ball and they can't stop it because now you're dictating Temple.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Now you're doing what you want to do.
- 17:04Speaker 5: You're keeping that offense, that explosive Shanahan offense off the field,
- 17:08Speaker 5: Rock Purty one of the better guys off the field.
- 17:11Speaker 5: You know, and and and and you're dictating what you
- 17:13Speaker 5: want to do. Now you put your defense in a
- 17:16Speaker 5: better position school Now they can get three and out.
- 17:18Speaker 5: Now they feel fresh, they can go out there and
- 17:20Speaker 5: manhandle that officer line. Yes, they're getting there. They're all
- 17:24Speaker 5: world Williams back and left tackle. But I like New
- 17:26Speaker 5: Orleans Smith against him. I like his you know, speed
- 17:29Speaker 5: and the athleticism. He's kind of lost a step, so
- 17:32Speaker 5: he can use that speed and aggressiveness. But I tell
- 17:35Speaker 5: you what Haunt on the other side, he is going
- 17:38Speaker 5: to make that tackle.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Look the word.
- 17:41Speaker 5: He might have two or three sacks this next game.
- 17:43Speaker 5: He could be that much of an impact. And Jalen Carter,
- 17:47Speaker 5: he's he's still mad at everybody just wrote them off.
- 17:50Speaker 5: He's still very much angry that. You know, you guys
- 17:53Speaker 5: were talking trash about him.
- 17:54Speaker 3: So let me saying you guys, Okay, Ustin's Houston's whatever.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Want to as they say in Pittsburgh, you in Philadelphia,
- 18:03Speaker 5: youwans yeah, you ins the city of Philadelphia talk of
- 18:07Speaker 5: trash about him. He's ready and willing to go out
- 18:10Speaker 5: there and crack some heads. So I can't wait to
- 18:13Speaker 5: see this game. I just think we have the number
- 18:15Speaker 5: one roster in the NFL. Is just about having discipline
- 18:18Speaker 5: enough to use it on the officer side of the ball.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but Barrett, I don't trust the structure of this offense.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Prime example, you have a thirty one and a fourth
- 18:30Speaker 2: and one at Washington's nine yard line. You got mckith
- 18:35Speaker 2: rolling out to the right, throwing passes. Oh my god,
- 18:39Speaker 2: a thirty one and a fourth and one inside the
- 18:41Speaker 2: ten yard line. You have a six to six quarterback,
- 18:44Speaker 2: he can't dive it. You have a two hundred and
- 18:47Speaker 2: forty seven pound running back in aj Dillon, he can't
- 18:49Speaker 2: dive it. And then you have the tank who's breaking
- 18:53Speaker 2: people's backs, breaking tackles left, he couldn't pick up a yard,
- 18:56Speaker 2: and your two back to back players of rollouts to
- 18:58Speaker 2: the right. You know, everything you said makes a lot
- 19:01Speaker 2: of sense about how they could dominate this forty nine ers.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I don't trust these guys calling the plage, honestly, don't.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I think I think it could boil down to Nick
- 19:11Speaker 2: Sirianni slash Kevin Patullo will find a way to keep
- 19:15Speaker 2: San Francisco in this game.
- 19:19Speaker 5: I like that find he would They will find a
- 19:21Speaker 5: way to keep you know, Shanahan in the game.
- 19:24Speaker 3: And he's a master, He's a master man. He's a
- 19:26Speaker 3: master of creating matchups.
- 19:28Speaker 5: And right now, I think the best matchup that he's
- 19:30Speaker 5: gonna definitely take advantage of is Dory Jackson. He I
- 19:35Speaker 5: mean not to say playing well, but he's gonna find
- 19:38Speaker 5: a way to get Juwan Jennings on him, Ricky Piarsoon
- 19:43Speaker 5: on him.
- 19:44Speaker 3: He's gonna find a way to get those guys against him.
- 19:48Speaker 5: And you know, they've gotta they gotta cover from somehow,
- 19:50Speaker 5: you know, because I really see why Dorri Jackson has
- 19:53Speaker 5: to play what eye witness in the second, I see
- 19:56Speaker 5: why Bennett hasn't played. I see why, you know the
- 20:01Speaker 5: rest of those corners McGill, whoever they big.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Williams, Oh my goodness, Keeley Ringo, Oh my good man.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Let me tell you something. If I were these guys,
- 20:11Speaker 2: I call him agent and tell them to start updating
- 20:14Speaker 2: my resume, uh and maybe find a new new line
- 20:17Speaker 2: of work, man, Because if there's a weak link, I
- 20:21Speaker 2: think that D line is the equals D line is
- 20:23Speaker 2: talented deep and rotation is excellent. I think the linebacking
- 20:27Speaker 2: corps is talented deep and if Nikobe Dean comes back.
- 20:31Speaker 2: If he doesn't come back, that's gonna be huge in
- 20:33Speaker 2: terms of forty nine is trying to establish to run.
- 20:36Speaker 2: But the back end of that defense, bro, if one
- 20:39Speaker 2: of those starters goes down, what just one one of
- 20:43Speaker 2: the starters goes down, that back end of that defense
- 20:47Speaker 2: gonna get lit up like a fourth of July. Man,
- 20:49Speaker 2: I'm telling you after watching that one play, ring Let's.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Talk about Ringo for a minute.
- 20:54Speaker 2: How many pass interference and holding costs can you have
- 20:56Speaker 2: in one game?
- 20:57Speaker 1: Number one?
- 20:58Speaker 2: But the most egregious play, just Johnson on a bootleg
- 21:02Speaker 2: rolls to the left. You see Kelley Ringo run up
- 21:05Speaker 2: to the to the goal line, stop and turn around
- 21:08Speaker 2: and run to the back of the end zone and
- 21:10Speaker 2: try to catch up with a guy who's being covered
- 21:12Speaker 2: by two different people. I'm like, what in the name
- 21:15Speaker 2: of vincet Lombardi is Kelley Ringo thinking Johnson walks in
- 21:18Speaker 2: for the touchdown?
- 21:19Speaker 1: Those are the deciding points.
- 21:20Speaker 2: You know, a year ago, Bart, we're all talking about
- 21:23Speaker 2: Kelly's got promise and he's gonna be a start in
- 21:25Speaker 2: this league.
- 21:25Speaker 3: You know what, he might not be in this league
- 21:27Speaker 3: in a year or two. All Right, I'm gonna defend him.
- 21:30Speaker 1: You gonna defend Kelly?
- 21:34Speaker 3: What?
- 21:35Speaker 1: No, you're not? No, no, no.
- 21:38Speaker 3: I can't. I can't. I was gonna try to, But
- 21:40Speaker 3: I don't lie de Gunzel. I gotta.
- 21:44Speaker 5: There's no way that he should have been looking at
- 21:47Speaker 5: his batters, and he was looking when he's this third
- 21:49Speaker 5: year in the NFL. Bennett should not look that bad.
- 21:54Speaker 5: And it's his third or fourth year in the NFL either, you.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Know how to come?
- 21:57Speaker 5: I thought, I actually thought that Bennette something was wrong
- 22:00Speaker 5: with him, like he couldn't learn the offensive defense or something,
- 22:03Speaker 5: and that's why they weren't playing them. He's legitly not
- 22:07Speaker 5: a good player, and Ringo is not legitly a good player.
- 22:11Speaker 5: They're a good special now Ringo can play special change
- 22:14Speaker 5: because you go run.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Straight ahead right down the field.
- 22:16Speaker 5: Yes, I don't know what Bennett does good, So I mean,
- 22:21Speaker 5: and I hate talking about players like that because.
- 22:25Speaker 3: It's tough. You know what I'm saying. You know, he's
- 22:26Speaker 3: one of them.
- 22:27Speaker 5: You know, he's making way more money than I am, right, now,
- 22:30Speaker 5: but it's still unchanged that. You know, you've got to
- 22:33Speaker 5: be able to play this game at a higher level
- 22:34Speaker 5: than that. There's no way that you can allow guys
- 22:37Speaker 5: to to run past you like that, or you hold
- 22:40Speaker 5: the entirety of the you know, at the five yards
- 22:43Speaker 5: you can't touch him, and yet they were holding them
- 22:46Speaker 5: by their waste, the entirety of the of the round.
- 22:51Speaker 3: That was utterly ridiculous. You know. So I can make
- 22:53Speaker 3: no excuses for any one of those guys. I can.
- 22:56Speaker 5: I don't understand how they're in the league right now,
- 23:00Speaker 5: because I mean, you are what your last plays are,
- 23:03Speaker 5: and that's the way you're gonna be judged. They're gonna
- 23:06Speaker 5: go into the season next year season with that on
- 23:09Speaker 5: their resume. This is supposed to be a game where
- 23:12Speaker 5: you're interviewing for thirty one other teams, and that's what
- 23:16Speaker 5: you put out there. You had an opportunity to start
- 23:18Speaker 5: a game, and you put that work out there. That's
- 23:23Speaker 5: utterly disgusting that you know you've allowed that film out there.
- 23:29Speaker 5: I mean, come on now, I mean, I've never played
- 23:33Speaker 5: dB before, but I tell you what, I played the
- 23:35Speaker 5: game backwards. I played tackle and I am I'm backing
- 23:39Speaker 5: up blocking a guy that's running forward. Now the guy
- 23:42Speaker 5: who's running forward or at me, he outruns me. Like
- 23:45Speaker 5: I ran a four nine in college. This guy probably
- 23:47Speaker 5: runs a four to four and I'm backing up trying
- 23:50Speaker 5: to cover him.
- 23:51Speaker 3: So there's no excuses. I got to get him for
- 23:53Speaker 3: he gets me.
- 23:55Speaker 5: I was trained to play tackle, Guarden center, you were
- 23:58Speaker 5: trained to play cornerback.
- 24:00Speaker 3: How is it did you put that out there on
- 24:03Speaker 3: the field. It was utterly disgusting, man. I couldn't believe it.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Man, I you know what I knew as soon as
- 24:08Speaker 5: they didn't have to they didn't have to do anything.
- 24:11Speaker 5: They had four plays where they pushed the ball down
- 24:14Speaker 5: the field, not on skills set and they're catching a ball.
- 24:18Speaker 1: But all piloties.
- 24:20Speaker 5: Yes, it's ridiculous, man. I mean, that's hope nobody gets hurt.
- 24:26Speaker 5: Please please, please, please nobody.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Hey, it's that time of the year that everyone's trying

- 27:58Speaker 2: to be more careful.
- 28:00Speaker 3: To be more careful, man, you got to be more
- 28:02Speaker 3: What are they saying on the sideline where they playing
- 28:04Speaker 3: bro tied their hands behind their back?
- 28:08Speaker 5: My god, I don't I don't care about you you're
- 28:11Speaker 5: not gonna pass down. I just don't want you to touch it.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Just don't touch it.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Hey, you you mentioned a guy a few minutes ago,
- 28:18Speaker 2: Jalx Hunt. Hey man, this young man ball. He broke
- 28:21Speaker 2: on that pass like a corner back.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Man.
- 28:23Speaker 2: This is the dude paying playing the edge of playing linebacker.
- 28:25Speaker 2: He broke and picked off a pass. And I'm thinking
- 28:29Speaker 2: he's been getting better and better all season, long.
- 28:31Speaker 5: Man, and it started last year last Yet the end
- 28:34Speaker 5: of the year, he says, I don't know what they
- 28:36Speaker 5: saw in him. I mean the man plays safety at
- 28:40Speaker 5: at Cornhill or something that. Yeah, he played safety and
- 28:44Speaker 5: didn't want to that. You know, Texas school down there
- 28:47Speaker 5: and play you know, got the devisit. And I knew
- 28:49Speaker 5: he was a he was a long player, you know,
- 28:52Speaker 5: because you know when I equate how he plays. Yeah,
- 28:55Speaker 5: he rushed the passer like a guy played against a
- 28:57Speaker 5: lot in my career.
- 28:58Speaker 3: That's Simeon Rice. He plays long and explosive.
- 29:02Speaker 5: Semi was a hard guy to block because he never
- 29:04Speaker 5: lets you put your hands on him because he played
- 29:05Speaker 5: so long and he's playing the same way.
- 29:08Speaker 3: He's got legitimate pass rushing. He leaves the team in
- 29:11Speaker 3: interceptions and in sacks.
- 29:14Speaker 5: Yep, that's incredible from a young guy who's really trying
- 29:17Speaker 5: to turn it around out this could. He's gonna have
- 29:19Speaker 5: a great game this next game, and I'm looking forward
- 29:22Speaker 5: to seeing what this young man has to do in
- 29:24Speaker 5: the future.
- 29:25Speaker 2: You know, another player, I don't know how much he's
- 29:28Speaker 2: gonna get on the field because of depth situation a linebacker,
- 29:32Speaker 2: but ax Man Junior, Jeremiah trotter Man, he's blowing people up.
- 29:38Speaker 3: What what like twelve tackles?
- 29:40Speaker 1: Twelve?
- 29:41Speaker 2: He led the team with twelve tackles. Did you see
- 29:43Speaker 2: him blowing up people at the line of scrimmage. I'm
- 29:46Speaker 2: like Daddy taught him, well, yes.
- 29:49Speaker 5: Sir, And you know what, I'm not worried about him
- 29:53Speaker 5: when he becomes a starter. You could put him in
- 29:55Speaker 5: at any time, and I have no qualms about him
- 29:59Speaker 5: being in there and going to making it happen. That's
- 30:01Speaker 5: why he was starting at the beginning of the year
- 30:02Speaker 5: before they you know, allow Campbell to be a starter.
- 30:05Speaker 5: So you know, you give him an inch, he's gonna
- 30:09Speaker 5: take a mile. He showed how good he is and
- 30:11Speaker 5: how good he could be going forward. I was definitely
- 30:13Speaker 5: proud of you know, the ax Man. You know Junior,
- 30:15Speaker 5: he played well man. And I remember seeing that kid
- 30:18Speaker 5: in practice, watching him and his brother practice.
- 30:20Speaker 3: And his brother, you know, played at Missoo.
- 30:23Speaker 5: He actually declared for the NFL this year, but he
- 30:26Speaker 5: you know, he played phenomenal this year.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Man.
- 30:28Speaker 5: I every time he's had an opportunity, he shined special teams,
- 30:33Speaker 5: he goes and shine.
- 30:34Speaker 3: You give him an it, she's gonna take him off.
- 30:36Speaker 5: I'll tell guys, you got to be more careful because
- 30:38Speaker 5: he will Wally Pip you if you're not, you know,
- 30:41Speaker 5: paying attention.
- 30:41Speaker 3: And Wally Pipp is a guy you know good.
- 30:45Speaker 5: You know, he played baseball and and and and you
- 30:49Speaker 5: know his backup was Louke Garrett. So one day he said,
- 30:52Speaker 5: you know what, I don't feel like playing today, So
- 30:55Speaker 5: he played sick.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Louke Garrett went in there and never stopped playing after that.
- 31:00Speaker 3: So try to one of those guys. He'll Wally pipp you.
- 31:03Speaker 5: You think that you you can go out there and
- 31:06Speaker 5: and and and and play sick one day, but try
- 31:08Speaker 5: to be on that field and make some guys, you know,
- 31:10Speaker 5: eyes get open and.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Buck up like, oh okay, he can play. He can play, man.
- 31:14Speaker 5: He and he learned how to rush the pass it
- 31:16Speaker 5: and I think na Kobe gave him some some Russian
- 31:18Speaker 5: tips and he used them accordingly too.
- 31:21Speaker 3: So he's gonna be a star player, man, when he
- 31:23Speaker 3: give an opportunity.
- 31:25Speaker 2: What concerns you most about this team as they head
- 31:28Speaker 2: to the playoffs.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Now, overall discipline. They're just not a disciplined team.
- 31:34Speaker 5: Their their athleticism, their personnel are so good that it
- 31:41Speaker 5: hides the inefficiencies in their discipline.
- 31:44Speaker 3: And that's a problem. Man.
- 31:45Speaker 5: They've got to play more disciplined football. They do stupid
- 31:49Speaker 5: stuff at the wrong times, and I look at him like,
- 31:52Speaker 5: why would you even think about that? I mean, they
- 31:55Speaker 5: have me scratching my head so many times because you
- 31:58Speaker 5: don't You didn't have to do that.
- 31:59Speaker 3: You didn't have to do that. You didn't have to
- 32:01Speaker 3: do that.
- 32:02Speaker 5: Just you know, play it against like come on now,
- 32:05Speaker 5: like you know, covering up a you know, if a
- 32:07Speaker 5: guy comes and checks saying hey, hey, hey, hey, I'm
- 32:09Speaker 5: I'm eligible. I'm an office attackle I'm eligible, and he
- 32:12Speaker 5: lines up there on the line of scrimmage and you're receiver,
- 32:16Speaker 5: you know, you can't cover him up because he's eligible.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Now he's a legal proceizure.
- 32:20Speaker 5: Now the pass that goes to our tight end, Dallas
- 32:22Speaker 5: Goddard is null and void because it's a flag.
- 32:25Speaker 3: I mean, come on, that's undisciple play. You gotta be
- 32:28Speaker 3: a better player than that.
- 32:29Speaker 5: Or if you know you're there and you jump off sides,
- 32:34Speaker 5: that flag took no talent to do.
- 32:38Speaker 3: You jumped.
- 32:39Speaker 5: Now put your team behind the sticks. If you are
- 32:43Speaker 5: a disciplined player, you just don't do that. And they
- 32:45Speaker 5: have too many times where undisciplined play is really put
- 32:49Speaker 5: him in back. Predictable, you can't stay on the field
- 32:51Speaker 5: because you lack of discipline. That's I can see. If
- 32:54Speaker 5: a guy's whooping your tail in front of you, I'll
- 32:56Speaker 5: take that. I mean, sometimes guys are just better than you.
- 33:00Speaker 5: But I cannot take a guy jumping off sides or
- 33:03Speaker 5: legal motion penalty or you know.
- 33:06Speaker 3: I can't take those.
- 33:08Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying, because it don't matter what
- 33:10Speaker 5: your coordinator calls or coach or whoever's gonna call. It
- 33:13Speaker 5: doesn't matter what you call, because you're going to be
- 33:17Speaker 5: behind the stick.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Now.
- 33:18Speaker 5: It's third and ten, third and fifteen, third and ten,
- 33:21Speaker 5: me third and eleven, and those are hard to come
- 33:24Speaker 5: back from.
- 33:25Speaker 3: So when you put yourself a bad situations, you can't.
- 33:27Speaker 5: Stay on time. Run the ball consistently, don't get away
- 33:31Speaker 5: from the run. But you can't do that. You can't
- 33:33Speaker 5: run the ball exsistant because you have too many pillars.
- 33:35Speaker 5: Now you're three and out. We got to keep that,
- 33:37Speaker 5: you know, we gotta keep it under wraps. You know,
- 33:39Speaker 5: run the ball. Three yards, four yards are good runs.
- 33:44Speaker 5: It doesn't always have to be a house call. Stay,
- 33:47Speaker 5: keep your offense on the field and you'll be a
- 33:49Speaker 5: better team.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Well said my friend. All right, well, you know, good
- 33:56Speaker 2: chatting with you as always. Oh in a belated Happy
