  Hello, and welcome to today's episode of divine

  We're taking prayer another

  level higher

  by talking about how prayer

  is a place of rest.

  Today's scripture comes from James four eight.

  Come near to God, and he will come
• 1:23
  near to you.
• 1:26
  God doesn't want to only hear from us
• 1:29
  when life falls apart.
• 1:31
  He wants to walk with us in every
• 1:33
  moment and situation.
• 1:36
  Prayer is not only a place of asking.

  It is

  a place of resting.

  In God's presence, we find peace that calms

  our minds and settles our hearts.

  But here's

  the catch.

  When we slow down to pray,

  we lay our burdens at his feet

  and allow his presence to renew us.

  It enables us to hear his voice clearly.

  Prayer reminds us that we are not carrying

  the burden of life

  But we must choose

  to give and leave him those burdens.

  A close relationship with God is our place
