Latest / Urantia Radio / The Adam Challenge - Can We Handle the Truth?
Transcript
- 0:00Welcome to another edition of the Urantia Radio Podcast.
- 0:02My name is Jim Watkins, longtime reader and student of the 5th
- 0:06Epical Revelation. And we've got a number of things
- 0:09we're going to talk about on this edition #1 We're going to
- 0:12talk about a paper that I'm working on that talks about the
- 0:15contributions of Adam and Eve. So we'll get into that a little
- 0:18bit. Also, some updates on other
- 0:21business that we've been doing here at the Urantia Radio
- 0:23Podcast. And then we're going to get down
- 0:25and dirty on the subject of water.
- 0:28Water, an interesting subject that has a lot of
- 0:30intersectionality with the Urancha book.
- 0:33And we'll get to that having to do with life on other worlds.
- 0:35So all this and more coming up on the Urancha Radio Podcast.
- 0:39Also want to thank the folks over at the Urancha Foundation
- 0:42for allowing me to make a presentation and as part of
- 0:45their Spotlight series. So Joanne Strobel, thank you so
- 0:49much. I'm humbled by your invite and
- 0:51if you want to see the end result of what we talked about
- 0:53last Saturday, if you go to the Urantia Foundation website,
- 0:57whichisurantia.org, look for the Spotlight series videos and you
- 1:01can see what we talked about with regards to mental illness
- 1:04and the Urantia Book. It's I think, very interesting
- 1:07information and I hope that you'll enjoy it.
- 1:09And I want to thank again the folks over at the Foundation for
- 1:12allowing me to host this past Saturday.
- 1:15So, so much to talk about, so much to discuss and we will do
- 1:18so in just a second. Got a good range of topics that
- 1:40we're going to talk about this time on the Rancho Radio
- 1:43podcast. That's some music here.
- 1:46For those who are into this kind of music, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan,
- 1:51it's pretty well known in India, somebody turned on, turned on an
- 1:55album years ago called Night Songs and I'd say about half the
- 2:01album is just pretty amazing. And then some of it is very
- 2:05almost leaning more towards traditional Indian music.
- 2:08So if you enjoy that kind of music, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and
- 2:14welcome to the Urancho Radio Podcast, I drafted an article
- 2:19recently. I took a bold attempt to try to
- 2:23explain in my own words how Adam and Eve and their influence
- 2:29played out over the millennia. And and I put it to pen.
- 2:34I wrote it. It took about an hour to write
- 2:38and and then I put it away. I I I said, OK, I know that I'm
- 2:43probably never going to publish this because, you know, I I I
- 2:48don't think that the world is ready to hear about Adam and Eve
- 2:53and what their progeny was. I could have a private
- 2:57discussion with anybody about it.
- 3:00But I I don't know if the masses would be ready because today
- 3:06everything is very contentious. When you talk about race or
- 3:11gender, very contentious. You step on the wrong rock and
- 3:17you're going to slip and fall on the river and it could end up
- 3:21ruining your friendship or it could start a very heated
- 3:25discussion and you know the old saying in in an argument, the
- 3:28truth is lost and then you forget the whole.
- 3:32And this is part and parcel. Why?
- 3:34Why I think a lot of people stay away from the racial element of
- 3:38the Urantia Book. Because the Urantia Book in the
- 3:41part three series of books attempts to explain where these
- 3:47six Sangeek races came from, how they all merged, emerged from
- 3:52the same family, over 19 children born in one family and
- 3:56each had kids that represented the the full spectrum of of
- 4:02colored races. You had the yellow, you had the
- 4:06red, you had the orange, you had the green, you had the blue.
- 4:09And then ultimately the what they call the indigo.
- 4:15And those were the six original races, but they'd already been
- 4:19in existence for quite a bit of time by the time Adam and Eve
- 4:22had showed up. Now I'm paraphrasing my
- 4:25paraphrasing. The question I have for you is,
- 4:30is this the time where maybe many human beings might be
- 4:36curious enough to know why it is we have the discord that we have
- 4:40today between the races? Because there's a lot of
- 4:43misunderstanding that would be cleared up.
- 4:47Because my thesis is that while some of the sangicks enjoyed
- 4:54much greater benefit, it put other races at a clear
- 4:58disadvantage. Because you had the majority of
- 5:02the blue race and and many of the red and the yellow.
- 5:06Well, not so much the red because they had already
- 5:08migrated pretty much over to North America by the time Adam
- 5:12and Eve made their appearance on on the pages of Human History.
- 5:17And consequently development of species occurred at a greater
- 5:23pace. That you could say in certain
- 5:25areas of the world and not so much in others, for a whole host
- 5:29of reasons, not only genetic but also environmental.
- 5:33And that is the way that we can look at this conundrum that we
- 5:38have is to wires were certain races oppressed for a period of
- 5:43time and others not so much. And I think the Adamic story
- 5:48really opens up the discussion that it's really not anybody's
- 5:51fault. It's just the way the cards were
- 5:53laid. But we can make up for that lost
- 5:56time. You know, I I refer to it, but
- 6:00my son a few years ago got me this wonderful wall map which is
- 6:04a timeline of human history broken down by period Kingdom,
- 6:09continent. And clearly it shows that human
- 6:13evolution accelerated greatly in the Mesopotamian region, some
- 6:18areas of China and certainly some areas later on in the
- 6:22European region of of the world. And it is consistent with the
- 6:28Urantia book explaining how the genetic influence of Adam and
- 6:33Eve played itself out over time. And the question I have is, are
- 6:40we ready to hear that truth? Would it help us understand how
- 6:47the different races sort of split up and in in today, how it
- 6:55all played out and what what do we look forward to in the
- 6:57future? What can we learn about this
- 7:00from the future? Because obviously Adam and Eve
- 7:02were sent here, they were put on this race, this earth, they they
- 7:06were supposed to make a mighty contribution.
- 7:09So if you're interested, I will send you the article privately,
- 7:14because I trust the people who listen to this podcast.
- 7:18I think they're pretty smart. I'll send you the an advanced
- 7:22version of it. Just e-mail me
- 7:23urantiabook@gmail.com, Urantia Book radio.
- 7:27Sorry, urantiabookradio@gmail.com and
- 7:31I'll send you the preview of the article in a PDF.
- 7:34And then you could tell me whether or not you think it's,
- 7:36it's worthy of being posted on the Urantia Radio website
- 7:40because the last thing I want to do is create a stir or, you
- 7:45know, create a hornet's nest. I don't want to bring a negative
- 7:48light because people today, like I say they're, they're much more
- 7:51sensitive to any discussion about race or gender.
- 7:56And and that's not what this is about.
- 7:58This is not about stirring that up or making any kind of
- 8:03declaration speaking on behalf of the Rancho revelators.
- 8:06I don't need to do that. But I do think the Adamic Story
- 8:12would go a long way to helping, helping us appreciate how much
- 8:16of an effect that they had on our on our race and on our
- 8:19culture. Also want to mention to you that
- 8:22the Ranchi Foundation was gracious enough to allow me to
- 8:26appear on their Spotlight series, and they have those
- 8:29every month and I encourage you to check them out.
- 8:33And it runs on the weekend, usually for about half an hour
- 8:35or so. Anyway, they took the
- 8:37presentation that I had produced on the mental illness aspect of
- 8:42the Urancha book and how the Urancha book addresses the
- 8:44subject of mental illness. And so it's on the Urancha
- 8:49Foundation Spotlight Series website.
- 8:52Just go to urancha.org and I'm sure you'll find it there.
- 8:56And so thank you to the Foundation and particularly
- 8:59Joanne Strobel and also a shout out to Brother Josh for for
- 9:04helping me fine tune the data and the overall presentation.
- 9:09And I got an opportunity to meet a lot of folks, hopefully some
- 9:12of them that I'll be able to bring on this podcast in future
- 9:15episodes. So another interesting thing
- 9:19that came up this week and I want to kind of delve into this
- 9:22a little bit is the idea of water.
- 9:25Now my good friend Joel Garbin, who's been on the program
- 9:29numerous times and he's kind of a science guy, he sent me this
- 9:33article. And if you listen to this
- 9:35program, you know that I'm a big fan of astronomy.
- 9:38And in the article it talks about how with the advances of
- 9:41the James Webb Telescope and some other recent advances in in
- 9:45science and astronomy technology, they've decided that
- 9:49the best way to look for exoplanets around us in our
- 9:55Galaxy is before they used. And they depended on a lot of
- 10:00what they call this tidal event, so that if a large planet was
- 10:06passing through the the Equatorial path of this, their
- 10:11solar sun, we could detect whether or not there are large
- 10:16planets that circle some of these Suns that are nearby or
- 10:19far away. And but we weren't getting
- 10:22anywhere. It seemed like we were always
- 10:24finding the same conundrum, which would be planets that are
- 10:27either too small or or too large, not much of rotation.
- 10:31They're too close to the sun, too hot, or they'd be too far
- 10:35away, too far away from the sun. And so we have this idea in
- 10:40astronomy and astrophysics that the Goldilocks, and I'm sure
- 10:44you've heard of that the Goldilocks premises we try, we
- 10:47try to find planets that are just right, that they're just
- 10:51the right distance where they can have water, they can have an
- 10:54atmosphere, not too cold, not too hot, and hence the
- 10:58Goldilocks zone. Anyway, so now they've come
- 11:02across a new technique in which they're looking for certain
- 11:07chemical compounds that would represent water.
- 11:12Astronomers now believe that water is a better guide to
- 11:16finding planets with a certain signature and they think that
- 11:20and there aren't not a lot of details coming out about this.
- 11:24But I think it's exciting from a Urantia book point of view
- 11:26because the Urantia Book is is front and center it.
- 11:31It has entire chapters dedicated to the different kinds of life
- 11:35forms that evolve on all kinds of planets, most of them being
- 11:39satellites to other planets that are themselves satellites to a a
- 11:46singular or double solar parent. So for example, it's more likely
- 11:52that we would find a habitable sphere of life orbiting a larger
- 11:57planet orbiting the sun rather than orbiting the Sun directly.
- 12:01And lo and behold, the Uranchovic makes its
- 12:04declaration. Our Earth is the exception to
- 12:09the rule. Usually a life bearing planet
- 12:11would find itself in close proximity to say, a planet like
- 12:15Jupiter or Saturn, and it would receive enough light and heat
- 12:19from both the larger sphere that it circles and the solar parent.
- 12:25That's the normal process, according to the Urantia Book.
- 12:29And now our astronomers are trying to are, are are figuring
- 12:32that out as well, that it's much more probable that life would
- 12:36exist on a world that circles a larger sphere, like a moon and
- 12:41then wonderful. And now they're going to go
- 12:43after this with looking for water signatures.
- 12:47So I wanted to go into the Urantia Book and look up water,
- 12:52just because sometimes that's what I do.
- 12:55And let me see what I can share with you here.
- 12:57Here's some quotes about water from the Uranchi book it says
- 13:02the entire science of and it goes off on two different
- 13:04directions. So I'll I'll try to make some
- 13:06sense of this. In this particular paper, which
- 13:10is I think Paper 7, they're talking about how water is a
- 13:14great example of how why sometimes science gets things
- 13:19wrong and and the dogmatic nature of science sometimes gets
- 13:26in the way of our own discovery of just how unique the universe
- 13:29really is. So for as an example, they say
- 13:32the entire science of mathematics, the whole domain of
- 13:35philosophy, the highest physics of chemistry, could not predict
- 13:39or know that the union of two gaseous hydrogen atoms with one
- 13:43gaseous oxygen atom would result in a new and qualitatively super
- 13:49additive substance, liquid water.
- 13:53The understanding knowledge of this one physiochemical
- 13:56phenomenon should have prevented the development of materialistic
- 14:00philosophy and mechanistic cosmology.
- 14:04It goes on to say in in paper 12, section 9, paragraph 4,
- 14:10Technical analysis does not reveal what a person or a thing
- 14:13can do. For example, water is used
- 14:16effectively to extinguish fire. The water will put out fire is a
- 14:22fact of everyday experience, but no analysis of water could ever
- 14:27be made to disclose such a property.
- 14:30Analysis determines that water is composed of hydrogen and
- 14:35oxygen. A further study of these
- 14:38elements discloses that water is the real supporter of combustion
- 14:43and that hydrogen will itself freely burn.
- 14:48So there you have an example of how why science can never
- 14:52actually, with complete success, prove any anything.
- 14:56We can't assume anything. This whole debate about climate
- 15:00change is wrapped around one theory, whether or not carbon
- 15:04more of it, less of it, and the impact that it has on an
- 15:08environment. But science has not settled on
- 15:10this, even though that's, you know, a debate we could have
- 15:14somewhere else. But there are plenty of
- 15:15scientists who will argue that carbon, and an abundance of
- 15:18carbon is is the source of life. All right, so back to this paper
- 15:2515. This where it gets, this where
- 15:28it talks about water elsewhere in the universe.
- 15:31This is pretty interesting. Says the Super universe of
- 15:35Orvinson is illuminated and warmed by more than 10 trillion
- 15:40blazing Suns. These Suns are the stars of your
- 15:43observable astronomic system. More than two trillion are too
- 15:49distant and too small even to be seen from Urantia.
- 15:53Now that was written in 1934. But in the Master universe,
- 15:58there are as many Suns as there are glasses of water in the
- 16:03oceans of your world. So I I had to do what I had to
- 16:08do. I had to go to Google, and
- 16:10Google tells me that there are 326 million trillion glasses of
- 16:16water on our planet. Isn't that amazing?
- 16:20326 million trillion multiplied by 8 glasses.
- 16:26So, you know, you do the math. That's a whole lot of water and
- 16:30that's a whole lot of sun. And that I I've said this
- 16:34before, think about how many billions and trillions of Suns
- 16:38there are. And each one of those Suns
- 16:40aggregated as a whole represents just the physical aspect of
- 16:44deity. Now, on to the subject of water
- 16:48itself. The physical plant life and the
- 16:51Marantia world of living things both require moisture, but this
- 16:55is largely supplied by the subsoil system of circulation,
- 17:00which extends all over the sphere.
- 17:02And they're talking specifically about Jerusalem.
- 17:06The water systems is not entirely subsurface for that,
- 17:09for there are many canals interconnecting the sparkling
- 17:14lakes of Jerusalem. So water on Jerusalem is the
- 17:17same as water here. The atmosphere of Jerusalem is a
- 17:21three gas mixture. This air is very similar to that
- 17:24of our world Urantia, with the addition of a gas adapted to the
- 17:28respiration of the Marantia order of life.
- 17:32The third gas in no way unfits the air for the respiration of
- 17:35animals or plants of the material orders.
- 17:38That's what we have to look forward to.
- 17:41On Jerusalem, though you have Marancha bodies, you continue
- 17:46through all seven of the mansion worlds to eat, drink and eat and
- 17:50rest. You partake of the Marancha
- 17:52order of food, a Kingdom of living energy unknown on the
- 17:56material world. Both food and water are fully
- 18:01utilized in the Marancha body. There is no residual waste.
- 18:06Pause to consider that Mansonia #1, the first mansion world, is
- 18:11a very material sphere presenting the early beginnings
- 18:15of the Marantia regime. You are still near human and not
- 18:19far removed from the limited viewpoints of mortal life, but
- 18:23each world discloses definite progress from sphere to sphere.
- 18:29You grow less material, more intellectual, and slightly more
- 18:33spiritual. The spiritual progress is
- 18:36greatest on the last of the three, seven of the seven
- 18:39progressive worlds, the seven mansion worlds.
- 18:42But we know one thing. We know that water exists and
- 18:47will continue to exist. And I find that pretty
- 18:50fascinating, don't you? That's going to do it for this
- 18:53episode of the Rancho Radio podcasts.
- 18:55I look forward to our next episode.
- 18:57And as always, if there's something that you want to have
- 19:01us discuss or talk about here on this program, your Rancho book,
- 19:04radio@gmail.com Until next time, God bless.
