  God more. Let's hear today's play from

  Genesis 17, which says, "When Abram was

  99 years old, God appeared to him and

  said, I am El Shadai, God Almighty. Walk

  in my presence and be pure-hearted." At
• 0:27
  99 years old, Abraham had promises, but
• 0:29
  he didn't have fulfillment. And what's
• 0:31
  striking is what God does not say. He
• 0:34
  doesn't give Abraham a strategy, a
• 0:36
  timeline, or a list of religious duties.

  He gives him a simple command. Walk
• 0:41
  before me and be purehearted. That's it.

  In the next chapter, God explains why he
• 0:47
  chose Abraham. Because Abraham would
• 0:49
  walk faithfully in God's ways and teach
• 0:52
  his household to do the same. Abraham

  lived before the law. There were no
• 0:57
  commandments carved in stone. God made a
• 0:59
  one-sided covenant, not based on

  Abraham's performance, but on God's
• 1:04
  grace. And that should sound familiar.

  Christian men today stand in the same

  place. Scripture tells us that while we

  were still sinners, Christ died for us.

  We didn't initiate salvation and we

  didn't earn it. Jesus came with grace,

  mercy, and love, inviting us into a
• 1:20
  relationship, not rulekeeping. The call

  is still retained. Walk with me and obey

  my commands. Simplified by love the Lord

  your God with all your heart, soul,
• 1:30
  mind, and strength. And love your
• 1:32
  neighbor as yourself. Don't run ahead of

  God. Don't argue needlessly about
• 1:36
  religious matters. Don't face provision
• 1:39
  while neglecting God's presence. God has
• 1:42
  given us his Holy Spirit that we can
• 1:44
  walk with him. Living pure-hearted
• 1:46
  lives, not perfect lives, but lives
• 1:48
  shaped by obedience and love. Purpose
• 1:51
  flows from presence. Provision follows
• 1:54
  obedience. Priorities align when God
• 1:57
  comes first. Men, we can't complicate
• 1:59
  what God makes simple. But run today's
• 2:02
  play. Seek God, then obey what he says.

  Acknowledge his presence. Ask, "What

  does obedience for me look like right
• 2:09
  now?" Then take one step at work, at
• 2:12
  home, or inside that reflect trust in

  God rather than trust in yourself. Then

  tonight when you lay your head down, ask

  this question. Did I walk before God

  today or did I walk ahead of him or

  without him? Faithful men are not

  defined by control or success, but by a

  consistent humble walk with God. If this
