- 0:00Speaker 1: The following program is produced by the tech Talk Radio Network.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hey lay the cable guy, and you're listening to tech
- 0:06Speaker 2: cock Radio.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Welcome to another episode of tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor,
- 0:12Speaker 1: I'm Sean de Weird, and I'm justin Lemme.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Man.
- 0:15Speaker 1: It's been a really fast week.
- 0:16Speaker 3: A lot happened this week, like we were just here
- 0:18Speaker 3: like yesterday or something. Right, it kind of felt.
- 0:21Speaker 4: This week blew by, and I had so much going
- 0:24Speaker 4: on at work with the new president of the university
- 0:26Speaker 4: getting inaugurated, it just was absolute chaos.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Oh wait, so you're going you getting a new president,
- 0:31Speaker 1: We're getting a new one year at the University of
- 0:33Speaker 1: Arizona as well. They're making a big change in the hierarchy.
- 0:38Speaker 1: So you're doing the same.
- 0:39Speaker 4: It's a lot of work.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Right now. What kind of stuff do you do that
- 0:44Speaker 1: ties to that? Is it like announcements video throughout the school?
- 0:47Speaker 1: How does that work?
- 0:48Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 0:48Speaker 4: So there was there was some announcements we covered, Like
- 0:51Speaker 4: they had a gala event for him, so it was
- 0:53Speaker 4: like a big party that they did a big speech
- 0:56Speaker 4: for it. He did the speech on the main steps
- 0:58Speaker 4: of the main building and a procession across campus and
- 1:02Speaker 4: then they did a mass, and then he had his
- 1:04Speaker 4: actual like inauguration event. So I think we did like
- 1:09Speaker 4: five live events for him over the course of three days.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Right. Oh wow.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Now has he been at campus with like in a
- 1:16Speaker 1: different position.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Before moving on teaching. He's been teaching here on campus.
- 1:21Speaker 1: That's pretty prestigious though, to be the president of Notre Dame.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I mean that's huge, the seventeenth president.
- 1:27Speaker 4: It's not like the pope or anything.
- 1:28Speaker 3: That, Right, How does one just go from being like
- 1:31Speaker 3: a professor to like the president of the university?
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you have to do?
- 1:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. There was a lot involved. I
- 1:39Speaker 4: know it was along a lengthy search of national worldwide
- 1:42Speaker 4: search basically.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Yeah, and they found him right there at home. Yeah,
- 1:47Speaker 1: I'll tell you a funny story. But I had to
- 1:49Speaker 1: introduce our guy, who is Robert Robbins, and I had
- 1:54Speaker 1: to introduce him at a big event they were doing
- 1:57Speaker 1: at the University of Arizona. Well, the guy that got
- 2:02Speaker 1: me and and Barry, my former morning show partner a
- 2:06Speaker 1: gig in across town at a different radio station was
- 2:11Speaker 1: the guy that you may remember as Charlie Brown Peter Robbins,
- 2:16Speaker 1: and he was the voice of a Charlie Browns he's
- 2:18Speaker 1: no longer whether he passed away, had a lot of issues,
- 2:21Speaker 1: had he had some I mean, he did some jail time,
- 2:23Speaker 1: he did some some stuff like that. But before all
- 2:26Speaker 1: of that happened, back before two thousand, Uh, it was
- 2:29Speaker 1: Peter Robbins. So I'm I'm introducing the president of the
- 2:32Speaker 1: u of A, you know, mister Robbins. And I introduced
- 2:35Speaker 1: him as Peter Robbins. And I remember he kind of
- 2:37Speaker 1: gave me a look and I didn't even realize what
- 2:39Speaker 1: I did, and I'm thinking I just introduced him as
- 2:41Speaker 1: Charlie brown.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Oh. So.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Uh. The good news though, for for you, Sean, is
- 2:55Speaker 1: even with this, you know, the president you had, there
- 2:58Speaker 1: was a game they were playing Purdue. There was a win,
- 3:04Speaker 1: sixty sixty seven. Wo wow, that's huge.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I see. I'm I'm a Notre Dame fan, so I'm
- 3:11Speaker 3: always happy about that.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean.
- 3:14Speaker 4: It was not expected that we'd beat him by that much.
- 3:17Speaker 4: I think there was an expectation that we would beat them,
- 3:19Speaker 4: but I mean I think in the first six or
- 3:22Speaker 4: seven minutes of the game we were up like eighteen
- 3:25Speaker 4: or something. It was crazy like and then it just
- 3:28Speaker 4: kept going and.
- 3:29Speaker 3: They kind of gave up.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean I don't know if you saw like
- 3:32Speaker 4: the wide shots of the stadium, but like it was
- 3:34Speaker 4: all Notre Dame fans at the end. No, there was
- 3:37Speaker 4: like hardly any Purdue fans there at all.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Of course, not would be probably left of the half.
- 3:42Speaker 1: To follow up on last week, we talked. We talked
- 3:46Speaker 1: a lot of stuff about Pixel. There's been some some
- 3:49Speaker 1: some stuff going on with that we'll tell you about
- 3:51Speaker 1: in a little bit. But Justin was going to go
- 3:54Speaker 1: for his second gig as a DJ, and you did.
- 3:59Speaker 1: How did you go? Was the what was the gig?
- 4:01Speaker 3: Like? Yeah, No, it was. It was really good.
- 4:03Speaker 1: It was.
- 4:05Speaker 3: It was called park Fest and it was like the
- 4:06Speaker 3: last of like the summer concert series put on by
- 4:09Speaker 3: the Parks and Rec District that I worked for. And
- 4:13Speaker 3: you know, I volunteered my time to just go out
- 4:15Speaker 3: there and have some fun. I mean, honestly, I just
- 4:18Speaker 3: I did it because it's it's fun for me. But yeah,
- 4:21Speaker 3: I went out there. It was It was interesting because
- 4:23Speaker 3: I was I was supposed to go on at five,
- 4:26Speaker 3: five to six, but I don't know if it was
- 4:28Speaker 3: the band that was late or if it was the
- 4:31Speaker 3: sound company that was late or I don't I don't
- 4:33Speaker 3: know what it was, but they were doing like sound
- 4:36Speaker 3: check until like almost five thirty, right, and I'm just
- 4:38Speaker 3: like I'm just kind of standing there like come on,
- 4:42Speaker 3: like this is this is my time? Like I want
- 4:44Speaker 3: to play, because I mean I had the whole thing
- 4:46Speaker 3: ready to go. I had all the songs picked out,
- 4:48Speaker 3: everything ready to go, and they got down with their
- 4:51Speaker 3: soundcheck and I was able to finally play. And once
- 4:54Speaker 3: I started playing, the band which happened to be like
- 4:57Speaker 3: it was They're They're They're a pretty well known band
- 5:00Speaker 3: in the Colorado scene, fifty two eighties band because it's
- 5:05Speaker 3: you know, fifty two eighty the altitude of Denver, fifty
- 5:07Speaker 3: two eighty, but their eighties band, so it's fifty two eighties.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Oh that's that's clever.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Like so, but I was playing a lot of eighties throwbacks,
- 5:15Speaker 3: but there were club remixes, and the lead singer of
- 5:18Speaker 3: the band came up to me like after like the
- 5:20Speaker 3: second song I was playing. He was like, Wow, you
- 5:23Speaker 3: you're really good at this. You like, do you do
- 5:25Speaker 3: this normally? And I was like, uh, actually, I haven't
- 5:28Speaker 3: done this in like fifteen years. Yep, and he's he's like,
- 5:31Speaker 3: you know, actually, we're just gonna let you play until
- 5:33Speaker 3: like six ' ten because we're supposed to go on
- 5:35Speaker 3: at six, but we're just gonna give you a little
- 5:37Speaker 3: extra time because you're doing an amazing job. And I was like, oh,
- 5:39Speaker 3: that's cool. I appreciate it. So then, you know, I
- 5:41Speaker 3: introduced him and yeah, you know, and then they went
- 5:44Speaker 3: and but also he had he come back. He came
- 5:46Speaker 3: back up to me before they went on, and he
- 5:48Speaker 3: was like, do you wanna do you want to DJ
- 5:50Speaker 3: in between our sets, like when we take a break,
- 5:53Speaker 3: you know, like at the top of each hour, for
- 5:54Speaker 3: like fifteen minutes. And I wasn't planning on it, but
- 5:57Speaker 3: I was like, uh, yeah, sure I can do that.
- 6:00Speaker 3: No big deals, kind of normals. Yeah. So I definitely
- 6:04Speaker 3: I did that, and knowing what my job was, my
- 6:08Speaker 3: job was basically to you know, keep people there, keep
- 6:11Speaker 3: people excited, keep people engaged. I got to say there
- 6:15Speaker 3: was probably like four to five hundred people there.
- 6:18Speaker 1: WHOA, and it's good.
- 6:19Speaker 3: I mean, that was that was probably the biggest, you know,
- 6:21Speaker 3: event that I DJ'ed for, even though again I wasn't
- 6:24Speaker 3: the main event, which by all means I don't really
- 6:26Speaker 3: want to be the main event.
- 6:28Speaker 1: But it was cool.
- 6:28Speaker 3: I just had a lot of fun and people enjoyed it.
- 6:30Speaker 3: People said I did a great job, and you know,
- 6:32Speaker 3: I appreciated that, and yeah, that was about it. But
- 6:35Speaker 3: I really, I really liked it. As a matter of fact,
- 6:37Speaker 3: at the end of the whole thing that the band,
- 6:39Speaker 3: the band guy lead singer, was like, can you open
- 6:42Speaker 3: for us everywhere we go?
- 6:44Speaker 1: That's a good way.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Well, I said maybe, I said, we can talk. I'll
- 6:50Speaker 3: give you my information, but I can't make any guarantees.
- 6:52Speaker 3: But that'd be kind of cool, you know, to come
- 6:54Speaker 3: out and open for the band. But I just yeah,
- 6:58Speaker 3: I just yeah. I just don't know how how often
- 7:00Speaker 3: that is and what they pay, and you know kind
- 7:03Speaker 3: of stuff, but yeah, it'd be interesting.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Okay.
- 7:04Speaker 1: The point I was gonna make is is you should
- 7:06Speaker 1: be thankful of one thing that the band that was
- 7:09Speaker 1: playing that night was fifty two eighties, great great name
- 7:13Speaker 1: and wasn't Jane's addiction.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Oh gosh, yeah, Perry Farrell Man, that is just that
- 7:21Speaker 3: guy has gone off the deep end.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I've always liked Dave Navarro. I've always as a musician
- 7:26Speaker 1: for those that don't know what we're talking about.
- 7:27Speaker 2: James.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Addiction is a band that's been around for a long time.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Been cut Stealing, you know that one of the big songs,
- 7:34Speaker 1: you know that crossed over. But you know, they've had
- 7:36Speaker 1: a good following. They were doing a show and Perry Farrell,
- 7:40Speaker 1: who's I guess.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Would he be the lead vocalist, you know, was the
- 7:44Speaker 3: lead singer.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Yeah, man and Dave Navarro all of a sudden, I
- 7:48Speaker 1: don't know what it was, you just attacked them while
- 7:50Speaker 1: they were performing.
- 7:51Speaker 3: So what they were saying on the reddits was that
- 7:56Speaker 3: Perry was coming off of having like laryngitis and his
- 8:00Speaker 3: his voice didn't sound great, so they were basically drowning
- 8:03Speaker 3: out his voice.
- 8:04Speaker 1: So they were playing too loud.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Yeah, they were playing too loud. He was getting frustrated
- 8:09Speaker 3: with them, and then he took it out on Dave
- 8:12Speaker 3: Navarro and tried to throw a punch. They say, they
- 8:14Speaker 3: said he punched him, but you look at it, he
- 8:17Speaker 3: kind of like kind of like shoved him off more like, yeah,
- 8:20Speaker 3: he didn't really. But anyway, they stopped the concert immediately,
- 8:23Speaker 3: and they they canceled a couple extra events and stuff
- 8:26Speaker 3: because of it. But yeah, that's just come on, man,
- 8:29Speaker 3: you guys go way back. How can you do that?
- 8:31Speaker 1: Uncomfortable? That was just so uncomfortable to watch. But again,
- 8:35Speaker 1: you can see the video for that up on uh
- 8:37Speaker 1: up on the YouTube. So, Sean, I don't want to
- 8:39Speaker 1: upset you too much, Sean, but I gotta show you
- 8:42Speaker 1: that I did something. I did something. After we talked
- 8:45Speaker 1: on last week's show, I decided I would go ahead
- 8:48Speaker 1: and bite the bullet and I went ahead and I
- 8:51Speaker 1: got the Google Pixel nine XL. Yeah. I wanted to
- 8:57Speaker 1: try it outcome to the dark side. I went to
- 9:00Speaker 1: best Buy. This guy was like twelve hundred bucks and
- 9:06Speaker 1: I was like, oh gosh, what if I don't like it?
- 9:09Speaker 1: What if you know I'm not going to be used
- 9:11Speaker 1: to it? And I asked him, I said, how long
- 9:14Speaker 1: do I have to decide? They told me I have
- 9:16Speaker 1: fifteen days. I'll what I'll pay is a forty five
- 9:20Speaker 1: dollars fee if that's the case, which is you know
- 9:24Speaker 1: with the fee that.
- 9:24Speaker 3: They used stocking today.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess that's what it'll be. And then I
- 9:28Speaker 1: can you know, I still have my original you know,
- 9:31Speaker 1: iPhone fourteen promacs and which I'm using with the Wi
- 9:35Speaker 1: Fi for all the apps of my games. Everything transferred
- 9:38Speaker 1: over and that was kind of cool. It was a
- 9:41Speaker 1: very easy experience, although it was really strange justin because
- 9:46Speaker 1: you know, on the iPhone, I'm using an eSIM, there's
- 9:49Speaker 1: two a SIMS I guess you could use for that.
- 9:52Speaker 1: But on the Google Pixel they actually put a physical
- 9:55Speaker 1: SIM card in the device, saying that Horizon has been
- 9:59Speaker 1: having an issue. This is a Verizon rep at Best
- 10:02Speaker 1: Buy with SIMS that people get in charged twice, and
- 10:06Speaker 1: so they're putting an actual physical SIM in that. And
- 10:10Speaker 1: you're saying they do have e SIMS.
- 10:13Speaker 3: They do. As a matter of fact, Yes, they absolutely do.
- 10:16Speaker 3: According you know, I know for a fact I have
- 10:19Speaker 3: the Pixel nine fold, which is one step up from
- 10:21Speaker 3: the Pixel nine XL. I do not have a physical
- 10:24Speaker 3: SIM in my car and on my phone neither did
- 10:26Speaker 3: I have a physical SIM in my Pixel eight pro.
- 10:30Speaker 3: And according to Android authority dot com right now, all
- 10:34Speaker 3: Pixel nine devices have dual SIMS support and they have
- 10:39Speaker 3: the eSIM. So, I honestly I'm sorry to say this. Andy.
- 10:44Speaker 3: I think he got ripped off by the guy the
- 10:46Speaker 3: Verizon rep. He basically sold you something that you did
- 10:49Speaker 3: not need. Ten bucks is what costs. But still, yeah, yeah,
- 10:53Speaker 3: you don't need it. They have the capability of doing.
- 10:55Speaker 1: An sim so it really if I do end up
- 10:57Speaker 1: taking it back, it's gonna be forty five bucks plus
- 10:59Speaker 1: a ten by that it pot because basically it's going
- 11:01Speaker 1: to do nothing for me, and I don't want to
- 11:03Speaker 1: leave it in.
- 11:04Speaker 3: So I'm the only blue bubble now yep.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Right now? Yeah, well okay, so we have to remember though,
- 11:10Speaker 1: earlier this week on Monday, iOS eighteen came out with
- 11:14Speaker 1: RCS support, which means that you're gonna have better messaging
- 11:20Speaker 1: capabilities on the big ones that's AT and T, Verizon
- 11:26Speaker 1: and who's the other guy that's out there, T Bubble,
- 11:29Speaker 1: so to be able to send messages back and forth.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Wait, are you saying iOS eighteen for Apple that just
- 11:37Speaker 3: came out, That just came out RS supports r CS finally,
- 11:42Speaker 3: Now it's not I.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Do not I do not have IOSA ten yet.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's carrier. It's carrier supporter, So it's gonna
- 11:50Speaker 1: be up to the carriers to carry it. Mint Mobile
- 11:52Speaker 1: doesn't carry it yet. Google five does not carry it yet.
- 11:57Speaker 1: So just those three big ones Welcome twenty eighteen.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Oh no, I just theme the memes that have been
- 12:03Speaker 3: IOSA means twenty eighteen. I mean literally, this is ridiculous.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yeah, but how many yeah, how many times have you
- 12:11Speaker 1: gotten a video from somebody that is sent from an
- 12:15Speaker 1: Android device and you're on an iPhone and it just
- 12:18Speaker 1: looks awful?
- 12:19Speaker 3: Well, it's exact opposite for me because I've been on
- 12:21Speaker 3: andreid for a long time. But yeah, people send me
- 12:22Speaker 3: a video from an Apple to an Android, Yeah, and
- 12:26Speaker 3: it looks horrible.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:28Speaker 3: So the thing is you gotta understand RCS is the
- 12:32Speaker 3: industry standard. Apple is the one who refuses to do it,
- 12:38Speaker 3: and they were basically forced to do it, and that's
- 12:41Speaker 3: why they finally did it.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Right.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Everybody else in the world was using RCS well.
- 12:46Speaker 1: But now it's up to the carriers. Now it's up
- 12:49Speaker 1: to Google Fi, and it's up to the others to say, okay,
- 12:53Speaker 1: let's make this happen. And now I haven't been able
- 12:56Speaker 1: to test it yet because even though I put iOS
- 12:58Speaker 1: eighteen this morning on my iPhone, I don't have the
- 13:02Speaker 1: ability to really test this.
- 13:04Speaker 3: It should be able to you should be able to
- 13:05Speaker 3: message via Wi Fi.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I yeah, I think I can because I have gotten
- 13:09Speaker 1: messages on it. But I wanted to do it WiFi, miss,
- 13:12Speaker 1: I really want to do it. I can't send it
- 13:13Speaker 1: to myself. This house is an I. It's basically in
- 13:16Speaker 1: Apple an iPhone, you know, blue bubble house.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah, well you're slowly don you're slowly converting. But you know,
- 13:23Speaker 3: as Sean mentioned there just a couple of seconds ago,
- 13:25Speaker 3: about these these memes that have come out. I sent
- 13:28Speaker 3: you guys it's a meme, but it honestly really isn't
- 13:31Speaker 3: a meme. It was literally a side by side comparison
- 13:34Speaker 3: of the six Apple iPhone sixteen pro right versus the
- 13:40Speaker 3: twenty eighteen model of a Samsung Galaxy S twenty four
- 13:45Speaker 3: I want to say it twenty three or something like
- 13:47Speaker 3: that was from twenty eighteen. The specs from twenty eighteen
- 13:52Speaker 3: on the Samsung were as good, if not better, than
- 13:56Speaker 3: the most current twenty twenty four iPhone. This is just
- 14:00Speaker 3: getting ridiculous that Apple sits there and touts all these
- 14:04Speaker 3: new quote unquote features and all this great stuff about
- 14:08Speaker 3: their phones when they're literally six years old.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but I will say something though. I will say
- 14:17Speaker 1: I am not used to the interface, and it's gotten
- 14:20Speaker 1: me the point where I'd been like, yeah, we're go
- 14:21Speaker 1: take this back, because so here here's the deal with
- 14:26Speaker 1: the uh with the pixel right, and I've got a
- 14:29Speaker 1: transfer all my apps. The only one that it did
- 14:32Speaker 1: not do with all my data that was a part
- 14:34Speaker 1: of it is Royal Match, the game that I play
- 14:37Speaker 1: every day. I'm up on level sixty one hundred.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Well, Royal Match is one of those super cell games, right, yes, yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 3: So all you got to do is sign up for
- 14:44Speaker 3: your super Cell ID, which is I should have built
- 14:48Speaker 3: it built into the app itself. So go to your
- 14:50Speaker 3: old and then into your safe and then you sign
- 14:53Speaker 3: into your super cell ID on the new phone, all right,
- 14:55Speaker 3: and it will transfer all your stuff over.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Okay, but all right, that's good to don't that's the
- 14:59Speaker 1: only one that didn't work. You do have to go
- 15:02Speaker 1: through processes with each one, like log in. You know,
- 15:06Speaker 1: that's fine. I understand that, speaking up processes.
- 15:09Speaker 3: If you do use two factor authentication, like let's say
- 15:13Speaker 3: Google Authenticator or Microsoft Duo or Microsoft Authenticator or even Duo,
- 15:18Speaker 3: you need to make sure not to factory reset your
- 15:22Speaker 3: old device until you have transferred over the two factor
- 15:27Speaker 3: authentication to the new phone. I made that mistake. When
- 15:30Speaker 3: I went from a pixel seven to a pixel eight,
- 15:32Speaker 3: I had factor reset the pixel seven, and then I
- 15:35Speaker 3: had to reset up all of my two factors manually
- 15:39Speaker 3: by contacting support for all these websites that had two
- 15:42Speaker 3: factor on them because I lost access to the phone.
- 15:46Speaker 3: If you do it the right way, all you have
- 15:49Speaker 3: to do is simply scan a QR code from your
- 15:51Speaker 3: old phone onto your new phone, and it will just
- 15:54Speaker 3: transfer over all your two factors over to that new device.
- 15:59Speaker 3: But if you don't do it, oh man, you're in
- 16:01Speaker 3: for a wolder hurt. Well.
- 16:02Speaker 1: One of the things that I noticed when it transferred
- 16:04Speaker 1: all the apps there is just you just scroll up,
- 16:08Speaker 1: just app after app after app. I got a lot
- 16:10Speaker 1: of apps now, and on the iPhone. It's pretty nice
- 16:14Speaker 1: because I open it up and then I could scroll left,
- 16:18Speaker 1: you know, and go, okay, there's the page with my
- 16:20Speaker 1: internet based apps. Keep going. There's my food apps. Well,
- 16:23Speaker 1: you could keep going. You just got to sort them out.
- 16:26Speaker 1: There's my video apps. With the Android. I noticed I
- 16:28Speaker 1: can create those, so I can go left and there's
- 16:32Speaker 1: a page with restaurants. There's a page with you know,
- 16:36Speaker 1: video apps. There's a page with your utilities However, it
- 16:42Speaker 1: still leads all of the apps when you scroll up
- 16:45Speaker 1: there's they don't like suddenly move into that.
- 16:48Speaker 3: I never use that scroll page on an Android. I
- 16:52Speaker 3: I have everything that I need laid out on my
- 16:56Speaker 3: I guess you would call it your desktop, right, right,
- 16:58Speaker 3: because that's kind of what it is. It's like your desktop.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I have folders. It's just like the iOS. The containers
- 17:06Speaker 3: that I put my apps in. So I have a
- 17:07Speaker 3: container for work, I have a container for shopping, a
- 17:10Speaker 3: container for TV, a container for finance, and all those
- 17:14Speaker 3: apps are in that container. So it just takes a
- 17:16Speaker 3: little bit of just organizing your apps. But yeah, that
- 17:20Speaker 3: scroll thing that you talked about for all your apps,
- 17:23Speaker 3: I never use that.
- 17:24Speaker 1: You know what also kind of ticked me off when
- 17:27Speaker 1: I was going through it and you talk about, you know,
- 17:30Speaker 1: you got the containers. The whole bit is that the
- 17:35Speaker 1: the AI which I really was looking for to testing
- 17:38Speaker 1: out now, Gemini, the Gemini the adme feature in a
- 17:41Speaker 1: photo is kind of cool. I might use that, you
- 17:44Speaker 1: know once in a while. That was neat. But the
- 17:47Speaker 1: Gemini reimagining that you did with the gentleman sitting in
- 17:50Speaker 1: the chair and then it put them on the beach.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I thought it was cool. I was kept trying and trying.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I think I even sent you a testco and this
- 17:55Speaker 1: is driving me nuts. And then it was when I
- 17:57Speaker 1: realized you draw around the person and then that will
- 18:02Speaker 1: be the replacement background for it.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I kind of thought it was all done audio wise,
- 18:07Speaker 1: and I'm like, okay, okay, that's not that way. You
- 18:09Speaker 1: can prompt it via audio, and then like okay. I
- 18:14Speaker 1: got a little fed up with Siri when you would
- 18:16Speaker 1: say you know something and it would like not respond
- 18:19Speaker 1: or say I can't I can't tell you that, or
- 18:22Speaker 1: blah blah blah. With the Google Gemini, it can't shut
- 18:27Speaker 1: him up. He'll like he'll go on. Like I asked him,
- 18:31Speaker 1: I said, can you tell me about music of the
- 18:33Speaker 1: generation that was born in the forties? What music do
- 18:37Speaker 1: they like today? Right? And he went on for like
- 18:41Speaker 1: fifteen minutes and I was like, oh, I'm well, okay,
- 18:45Speaker 1: maybe ten either way, it was a long time.
- 18:47Speaker 3: I was like, dude, please be quiet, just give me.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Never had a response more than like ten seconds.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, dude, this was long. I was like, wow,
- 18:56Speaker 1: So I don't know what I did, what I've brought
- 18:58Speaker 1: out in this this voice. But it was like, yeah,
- 19:01Speaker 1: it was. It was a little irritating. So I don't know,
- 19:04Speaker 1: Like I said, maybe I'll have to get used to that.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Well, I can just tell you. I can tell you
- 19:10Speaker 3: right now. The most recent experience I've had with, you know,
- 19:12Speaker 3: going from an iPhone to Android was with my wife.
- 19:15Speaker 3: And now my wife is not a technical person. She
- 19:18Speaker 3: had an iPhone for many, many years and then it
- 19:22Speaker 3: was about what three years ago now maybe I think
- 19:25Speaker 3: it was about three years ago. I forcefully switched her
- 19:29Speaker 3: to an Android. I said, no, we're not keeping Apple
- 19:31Speaker 3: in this house. You are going to go Android. She's like,
- 19:32Speaker 3: I don't want Android. I said, too bad, You're gonna
- 19:35Speaker 3: get an Android. It took her about three months to
- 19:39Speaker 3: kind of just get used to the daily flow of it,
- 19:42Speaker 3: but she would kind of rearrange your icons and you know,
- 19:45Speaker 3: do things as But now I asked her, you know,
- 19:49Speaker 3: would you ever go back to an iPhone? She says,
- 19:50Speaker 3: absolutely not. Real Android is miles ahead of iPhone. She's like,
- 19:55Speaker 3: I love this phone.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I just I just like the way it's it's laid
- 19:58Speaker 1: out on the iPhone. That's gonna be a hard adjustment
- 20:01Speaker 1: for me, Sean, I know you would probably have the
- 20:04Speaker 1: same issues probably.
- 20:05Speaker 4: I mean, I'm very particular about the way I have
- 20:08Speaker 4: things laid out on my phone, Like I don't have
- 20:11Speaker 4: any Rogue icons. They're all just in folders. It's all grouped,
- 20:15Speaker 4: and you know, I'm just used.
- 20:17Speaker 1: To the way.
- 20:18Speaker 4: I've just used to the way I've got things filtered
- 20:21Speaker 4: and set up. I've had an iPhone since.
- 20:25Speaker 1: The first nine yeah, so it's.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Kind of what I know now. I've had Android phones before.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Right when I worked for Tribune, I had in Android
- 20:36Speaker 4: phones that was my work phone. So I've used Android
- 20:39Speaker 4: and I see the benefits and I understand that they
- 20:42Speaker 4: are light years ahead of Apple and certain things. But
- 20:46Speaker 4: for me and my family, it makes sense to stay Apple,
- 20:51Speaker 4: right because I would say ninety percent of my family
- 20:55Speaker 4: are on Apple devices, meaning facetiming is easier right now
- 21:00Speaker 4: out Granted, now with with iOS seventeen, you could add
- 21:03Speaker 4: non Apple people into facetimes. It's easier to share photos,
- 21:10Speaker 4: it's easier to share across my my MacBook, my iMac,
- 21:15Speaker 4: my iPads, my mom's iPads. Right, It's it's from a
- 21:20Speaker 4: ease of use for other people in my family to
- 21:23Speaker 4: get and receive media of my children, so I can
- 21:27Speaker 4: quickly just send photos and videos to my parents, other people,
- 21:33Speaker 4: you know, and it's all through iCloud. It's that's what
- 21:36Speaker 4: makes it. That's what makes me stay with Apple.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Right, understand that tech tech tech.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Technologically, I would go to Android.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Right.
- 21:46Speaker 4: I just can't leave that environment of how easy things
- 21:50Speaker 4: are for me and my family to share things that
- 21:54Speaker 4: we watch. My brothers don't have Iowa, don't have Apple devices, right,
- 21:59Speaker 4: but it's my parents, Kyle's parents, well, Kale's parents have
- 22:04Speaker 4: Android too. But the majority of the people that I
- 22:07Speaker 4: share media with friends and family, all most of them
- 22:09Speaker 4: have Apple toys.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Gloria said something to me though that made me go, well,
- 22:13Speaker 1: wait a minute, because she said, well, if you take
- 22:17Speaker 1: the Pixel nine Excel back, because maybe you're just not
- 22:21Speaker 1: adjusted to it. She said, why don't you get a
- 22:23Speaker 1: Mac and then your iPhone will coordinate with the Mac.
- 22:27Speaker 1: And then I thought to myself, wait a minute, she's
- 22:29Speaker 1: telling me I could buy a Mac.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Really, dude, go now, go now, don't don't question it,
- 22:36Speaker 3: don't question it, just do it.
- 22:38Speaker 4: You know, I will say like when when Apple to
- 22:42Speaker 4: kind of segue a little bit into the computer side
- 22:45Speaker 4: of Apple, right, right, Apple jumping to their own silicon
- 22:50Speaker 4: with the the M chips right was a huge risk
- 22:54Speaker 4: for them, but it is paid dividends right there their
- 22:58Speaker 4: multimedia side of their their Apple silicon with the M two,
- 23:02Speaker 4: the M three, and you know, they're probably announced the
- 23:05Speaker 4: M four here pretty soon. Right. They are leaps and
- 23:08Speaker 4: bounds ahead of Intel and AMD in terms of of
- 23:14Speaker 4: like media production. They're I'm trying to think of the
- 23:17Speaker 4: right right word set, but what they're doing in the
- 23:20Speaker 4: media world is light years ahead of MD and Intel,
- 23:25Speaker 4: and they have a foothold on that industry right now.
- 23:30Speaker 4: And you can't get a like if you spend wanted
- 23:34Speaker 4: to spend six hundred dollars, you can get a Mac
- 23:39Speaker 4: Mini with an M two chip in it. And for
- 23:42Speaker 4: that price, you have a really good multimedia platforms like
- 23:49Speaker 4: a good multimedia platform like you can use it to
- 23:51Speaker 4: use Premiere, you can use it Lightroom, you have all
- 23:54Speaker 4: these Adobe apps that you can use, Final Cut, those
- 23:56Speaker 4: types of things, and it's a workhorse for six hundred bucks.
- 24:01Speaker 4: So unless unless you're looking at using Premiere on a
- 24:05Speaker 4: home built system, or you're looking at, you know, using
- 24:08Speaker 4: a higher end am D or an Intel processor. Right
- 24:11Speaker 4: there's you're gonna get more bang for your buck with
- 24:14Speaker 4: lower end M two, M two or M three chips
- 24:17Speaker 4: in the Mac Minis than you are for a home
- 24:20Speaker 4: built PC.
- 24:21Speaker 1: All right, we get we got to take a quick break.
- 24:23Speaker 1: We come back. I know you've got another thought justin.
- 24:25Speaker 1: We'll share that when we come back with more of
- 24:26Speaker 1: tech talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Sean de Weird,
- 24:30Speaker 1: and I'm Justin. Let me find us on the web
- 24:32Speaker 1: at tech talk radio dot com.
- 24:33Speaker 2: We'll be right back and now fact to tech talk Radio.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Now. Before the break, Sean was talking about the benefits
- 24:41Speaker 3: of the Macmini, you know, bang for your bucks six
- 24:44Speaker 3: seven hundred dollars to kind of get an entry into Apple. Sean,
- 24:47Speaker 3: I'm not going to argue with that by any means,
- 24:49Speaker 3: because you are absolutely correct with that. However, I believe
- 24:56Speaker 3: that's kind of how Apple wants you to get hooked.
- 24:59Speaker 3: You know, well, it's like getting a taste.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Oh for sure, I'm not gonna get that.
- 25:03Speaker 3: It's getting a taste of it. And then once you're hooked,
- 25:06Speaker 3: now you're gonna start going for their Mac pros, their MacBooks.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Because first off, Mac Minnie. It is literally it's a desktop, right.
- 25:13Speaker 3: People don't want desktops anymore. They want things on the go.
- 25:16Speaker 3: They want to be able to take it wherever they want.
- 25:17Speaker 3: How are they gonna do that? You can't do that
- 25:19Speaker 3: with a Mac Mini. You're gonna have to go with
- 25:20Speaker 3: a MacBook, MacBook Pro those things. The price on MacBook
- 25:24Speaker 3: pros is insane for what you get. You could easily
- 25:28Speaker 3: get a PC for half the price that can do
- 25:30Speaker 3: just as much as a Mac Cain or Great.
- 25:32Speaker 1: A really good, like high end gaming laptop.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Yeah, and I do understand, you know, and going back
- 25:38Speaker 3: to our days back in TV industry, sean Mac was everywhere.
- 25:43Speaker 3: When it came to that industry, you know, video editing,
- 25:47Speaker 3: audio editing was everything was Mac. They have been losing
- 25:51Speaker 3: their foothold, as you say, for the last ten twelve
- 25:55Speaker 3: years now that they are not I mean the Adobe
- 25:58Speaker 3: Premiere and all the Adobe Pro. They are putting more
- 26:02Speaker 3: into their PC platforms than they are the Mac anymore,
- 26:07Speaker 3: because more and more people obviously first off use PC
- 26:10Speaker 3: and Apple just again really hasn't innovated. They don't update
- 26:16Speaker 3: every time they release a new MacBook or a new
- 26:18Speaker 3: iPhone or whatever it is the same hardware.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Do you think we're Do you think we're gonna see
- 26:24Speaker 1: Apple Intelligence built into MacBooks, you know, and and desktops
- 26:28Speaker 1: from Well, you're going to see.
- 26:29Speaker 4: It built at all of their all of their pieces
- 26:31Speaker 4: and parts. Right, So you're gonna see generative AI come
- 26:34Speaker 4: to final cut. You're gonna see Generative AI come to keynote.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Well, came to Adobe already, Yeah, so I mean.
- 26:40Speaker 4: They have to compete with that, right, they have to
- 26:42Speaker 4: compete with that because it's it's already in premiere also, right, Yeah,
- 26:46Speaker 4: I could just go in and say, hey, make this
- 26:47Speaker 4: cut for me and it'll do it.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but you're we're not going to see Apple Intelligence,
- 26:53Speaker 3: which is what they want everybody to call it. It's
- 26:55Speaker 3: just AI artificial intelligence. We're not going to see that
- 26:58Speaker 3: until like twenty twenty eight. I mean the way don't think, no, dude,
- 27:02Speaker 3: the way Apple is, well, they're like six years behind
- 27:05Speaker 3: everybody else.
- 27:06Speaker 1: There was word that, you know, yesterday, the iPhone sixteens
- 27:10Speaker 1: are available, and there was word that people who had
- 27:13Speaker 1: the iPhone fifteen may be able to see and we
- 27:16Speaker 1: don't know yet what the outcome because I have the fourteen.
- 27:19Speaker 1: So I have no way of checking. May have been
- 27:21Speaker 1: able to experience some of Apple Intelligence, even though it's
- 27:24Speaker 1: not officially going to be available till the fall because
- 27:27Speaker 1: they're still working on it, but apparently there was some
- 27:30Speaker 1: devices that may be able to experience some of that.
- 27:33Speaker 1: I'll tell you what I think would be great, and
- 27:36Speaker 1: we talked about this last week Opus Clips and the
- 27:39Speaker 1: other services that are out there that will take your audio,
- 27:42Speaker 1: your video, your photos and use AI to create multimedia presentations,
- 27:47Speaker 1: which I love when we see Adobe you utilizing that
- 27:51Speaker 1: same technology and making it as a part of their platform.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I think that might be even better for some of
- 27:58Speaker 1: those companies, Sony, any of those companies that are helping
- 28:02Speaker 1: you to create multimedia, or even Apple to be able
- 28:05Speaker 1: to do that because now you go to the third
- 28:07Speaker 1: party for it. They do a great job at it,
- 28:09Speaker 1: and I love it, But that is going to change things.
- 28:13Speaker 3: M hm.
- 28:14Speaker 1: That's again all AI driven, and there's people out there
- 28:17Speaker 1: that honestly, they don't care about the AI. They really don't.
- 28:21Speaker 4: They just mean, you know, it's it's it's it's grown
- 28:24Speaker 4: on me a little bit, right. I got invited to
- 28:27Speaker 4: the Notre Dame CHATGBT test bed So I've been using
- 28:32Speaker 4: it for things at work and it's beneficial.
- 28:38Speaker 3: You know.
- 28:38Speaker 4: I've been using it to generate and I'll share this
- 28:42Speaker 4: with you. I've been recording audio of my D and
- 28:46Speaker 4: D sessions and I have been using it to get
- 28:50Speaker 4: a transcription made of the audio into a text file.
- 28:54Speaker 4: I put it in a chat che Chat GBT and say,
- 28:57Speaker 4: narrate this for me in a short story format.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Wow, created the story. It's been awesome. That is pretty cool, right, it's.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Been It's been pretty cool. So I'll share that with you.
- 29:08Speaker 4: We can put it on the blog and stuff. And
- 29:10Speaker 4: the other things I've been using it for is.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Doing some coding.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Right.
- 29:17Speaker 3: There are there are there are things.
- 29:19Speaker 4: There are things that we can do work with our
- 29:21Speaker 4: We have ross acuity switchers for video, our video production switchers,
- 29:26Speaker 4: And there are things called custom controls that you can
- 29:29Speaker 4: code to do functions.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Like doesn't cut this camera.
- 29:34Speaker 4: It has its own it has its own language called
- 29:37Speaker 4: so I just like, I wonder if it's ROSST. So
- 29:40Speaker 4: I just typed in the I just typed in, uh,
- 29:44Speaker 4: I want you to cut this video on Emmy four
- 29:48Speaker 4: with a background, on Emmy three with a dissolve fifteen frame,
- 29:51Speaker 4: dissolve and replay transition to this custom control it spin
- 29:58Speaker 4: it out in two seconds.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Somebody told me that they can take say, video footage
- 30:03Speaker 1: that's fifteen seconds long and unfortunately they need twenty seconds
- 30:08Speaker 1: because they need to fill five seconds. They can take
- 30:12Speaker 1: it and use AI to recreate that sequence and make
- 30:16Speaker 1: it twenty seconds.
- 30:18Speaker 3: But add like extra frames in or just yeah bits yeah.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Or just the character itself by adding on to it.
- 30:25Speaker 1: I mean, they could do so down a little bit
- 30:27Speaker 1: pretty that you wouldn't even notice with the with your
- 30:30Speaker 1: you know eyes, some pretty amazing stuff that they are
- 30:33Speaker 1: able to do with this now. I mean, we're gonna see.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I think it's moving so fast because think about where
- 30:38Speaker 1: we were three years ago. You didn't hear too much
- 30:41Speaker 1: about it, and then all of a sudden it was here,
- 30:43Speaker 1: and everybody has their own version of it that they're
- 30:46Speaker 1: you know, they're wanting to tout, Well, it's.
- 30:49Speaker 3: The next arms race, It's the next technological technological arms race.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Who's gonna come out on top with AI?
- 30:57Speaker 4: Yeah, it's gonna be just like it's gonna be like
- 31:00Speaker 4: every other technical war that we've had. Sony versus Xbox,
- 31:03Speaker 4: you know, Sony Xbox, you know, or HDDVD Blu Ray.
- 31:07Speaker 4: Who's going to come out on top of the best one?
- 31:09Speaker 4: And yeah, that's what the people, the popular opinion is
- 31:13Speaker 4: going to be is the one that succeeds well.
- 31:14Speaker 3: But here's the thing, Sean, be very careful about that
- 31:17Speaker 3: analogy about you know, Beta Max versus VHS or HDDV
- 31:21Speaker 3: versus Blu Ray, because we all know who was the
- 31:24Speaker 3: deciding factor on which way.
- 31:26Speaker 1: They were and which Yeah, exactly.
- 31:27Speaker 3: What you really can't talk about that on the radio.
- 31:30Speaker 1: What caused VHS to win over Beta maxp You can
- 31:33Speaker 1: look it up.
- 31:33Speaker 3: You might be you don't know, just look it up.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, speaking that, we got a question in
- 31:38Speaker 1: from Grace in Saludita. So, I just got myself a
- 31:41Speaker 1: new computer, and I'm giving my current tower to my
- 31:44Speaker 1: granddaughter so she can use it for her schoolwork. She's thirteen.
- 31:48Speaker 1: My new computer, which I got at Walmart, is an
- 31:51Speaker 1: all in one from HP oh. I think I know
- 31:53Speaker 1: the one she got. It's like it's just an all
- 31:55Speaker 1: in one means basically everything is in the screen, so
- 31:58Speaker 1: there's no tower or even like that. She said, I
- 32:02Speaker 1: have a few programs on the other computer, a couple
- 32:05Speaker 1: of Turbo tax years, my circuit Cricket program, Cricket Cricket
- 32:11Speaker 1: word perfect, and Roxio easy Creator. Is there an easy
- 32:15Speaker 1: way to move these to my new computer? The old
- 32:18Speaker 1: one ran Windows ten. I guess your new one is
- 32:21Speaker 1: running Windows eleven.
- 32:24Speaker 3: I would say, just go to the websites for each
- 32:26Speaker 3: of those programs and just download the installer. Really, I
- 32:29Speaker 3: mean you don't really have physical installation media anymore.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:34Speaker 4: Yeah, so this is a hard question, right, because there
- 32:37Speaker 4: are several ways she can move things, and in my
- 32:41Speaker 4: experience with Windows based computers moving from one PC to another,
- 32:47Speaker 4: it's not easy. Yeah, you want to do fresh installs
- 32:51Speaker 4: of everything, right, just has to do with regis Windows
- 32:54Speaker 4: regis the way Windows operates on the back end. Right,
- 32:56Speaker 4: It's just it's such a pain to try to copy
- 33:00Speaker 4: a file over and make sure you get all the
- 33:02Speaker 4: directory files and all this stuff. Right. I will say
- 33:06Speaker 4: that Apple does make this very easy to do when
- 33:08Speaker 4: you're switching. Oh god, saying the migration assistant is very easy.
- 33:16Speaker 4: But there are options if you're looking at moving file,
- 33:19Speaker 4: like if you're trying to move a large sum of
- 33:21Speaker 4: files or you know, pictures, videos, et cetera. Like Microsoft
- 33:27Speaker 4: does offer their one drive, you can you can get
- 33:30Speaker 4: a subscription and get access to one drive.
- 33:33Speaker 3: You can use the.
- 33:34Speaker 4: Windows History function to toppy and back up things and
- 33:37Speaker 4: move it over. But I mean to be honest, like
- 33:41Speaker 4: a clean slate with fresh installations, with the most up
- 33:44Speaker 4: to date versus of the software is probably your best.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Best. Here's here's something I did. But a year and
- 33:50Speaker 1: a half ago, I had a customer that they had
- 33:53Speaker 1: me build a brand new tower. I mean we built
- 33:56Speaker 1: a full full on you know, newest, fastest, thirty two
- 34:02Speaker 1: gigs ram, you know, lots of storage. It was for
- 34:04Speaker 1: a graphic shop. The previous computer was a Windows XP machine. However,
- 34:10Speaker 1: the reason they had the Windows XP machine is because
- 34:14Speaker 1: they had special printers for printing T shirts, for printing
- 34:18Speaker 1: the graphics that ran under Windows XP. Yep to go
- 34:23Speaker 1: to something else for the manufacturer, it would have cost
- 34:26Speaker 1: a lot of money. There would have been all kinds
- 34:29Speaker 1: of things that we had to gun. They've gone through,
- 34:31Speaker 1: they already had the artwork, already had it. So I
- 34:34Speaker 1: found a program called PC mover, and PC mover has
- 34:40Speaker 1: a Windows XP two Windows ten path built into it
- 34:46Speaker 1: that you can go ahead and apply for programs and
- 34:50Speaker 1: it will do the whole program to run from Windows XP.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Put it onto Windows tem machine and it will run.
- 34:58Speaker 3: The US military you would like to have a word
- 35:01Speaker 3: with you and about that, because they are still running
- 35:04Speaker 3: on Windows.
- 35:04Speaker 1: XPR, aren't they. Yes, well they had to look into
- 35:08Speaker 1: PC mover. It was a pretty good program. They sell
- 35:11Speaker 1: that everywhere. You get it at dead office, depot and whatnot.
- 35:14Speaker 1: And it worked really really well. Now what I would
- 35:17Speaker 1: recommend if you're going to do this, Grace, if you
- 35:21Speaker 1: decide to invest in the program to do it. I
- 35:23Speaker 1: mean again, it may not, it may be overkill for
- 35:25Speaker 1: what you're doing. Like like Sean was saying, you've got
- 35:27Speaker 1: what word perfect cricket cricket you could get from their
- 35:32Speaker 1: their website turbottax. Maybe a little different, but I'll tell
- 35:37Speaker 1: you it was pretty It was pretty amazing how good
- 35:41Speaker 1: it worked. But if you want to do it, it's again,
- 35:43Speaker 1: it's a maybe about seventy bucks, depending on which version
- 35:47Speaker 1: you get. It's a program you use once. That's it.
- 35:50Speaker 1: You pay fore, you use it once and you're done.
- 35:53Speaker 3: All right. Before we get to the next question, was
- 35:55Speaker 3: to check the scoreboard Apple three PC forty five. That's
- 36:00Speaker 3: the current score right there?
- 36:01Speaker 1: Where did you get that math from?
- 36:04Speaker 3: Oh, I've been doing the math for like the last
- 36:06Speaker 3: couple of years on every time we talk about it.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Every time we bring it up. All right, Sean, you
- 36:11Speaker 1: want you want to share the next one for us?
- 36:13Speaker 1: You see it?
- 36:14Speaker 4: Let me let me pull that up. All right, listener
- 36:17Speaker 4: question high tech talkers. I finally did it. I cut
- 36:20Speaker 4: the cord and got rid of the cock's cable I had.
- 36:23Speaker 4: I've heard you talk about cutting the cord before. And
- 36:26Speaker 4: we'll save about one hundred and twenty bucks a month. Now,
- 36:28Speaker 4: I did keep the high speed internet, and I have
- 36:30Speaker 4: a smart TV. What should I use? As far as
- 36:33Speaker 4: the service to get free? This is a big part
- 36:36Speaker 4: free TV shows. So this is for Laura and Tucson.
- 36:40Speaker 4: So free that's the big part here, right, So racks
- 36:43Speaker 4: for free?
- 36:44Speaker 3: I think people freaking nothing and life is free.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Oh no, no, I disagree, Okay, I disagree. I think
- 36:50Speaker 1: there's a lot for free that people have no idea
- 36:54Speaker 1: that it's for free. Oh wait free.
- 36:56Speaker 4: There are a lot of apps. There are a lot
- 36:59Speaker 4: of apps. How they're free, but they're gonna just scrape
- 37:02Speaker 4: your data and all that stuff.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, that's true.
- 37:04Speaker 3: I think.
- 37:05Speaker 4: I think the more popular ones that are out there
- 37:07Speaker 4: are things like two B Bubo Fubo and Pluto Pluto
- 37:12Speaker 4: Pluto I love. There are so many apps. There is
- 37:16Speaker 4: so much content out in the world that you can
- 37:18Speaker 4: get for free.
- 37:19Speaker 3: And let's just not forget if you do have a well,
- 37:23Speaker 3: if it's Smart TV's probably it's got its own OS.
- 37:25Speaker 3: But if you got a Google TV, like a Google
- 37:28Speaker 3: like a Chrome Cast TV or the new the new
- 37:31Speaker 3: four K streamer coming out soon. Google itself has over
- 37:34Speaker 3: one hundred and fifty channels for free built into their OS,
- 37:38Speaker 3: no extra apps required.
- 37:40Speaker 1: But are they entertaining? Like I know on Pluto, I
- 37:42Speaker 1: could like if I feel I once in a while
- 37:45Speaker 1: getting too fred Mertz mood, and I want to watch
- 37:47Speaker 1: I want to watch all the fred Mertz. You know,
- 37:49Speaker 1: Fred Mertz, fred Mertz.
- 37:51Speaker 3: I don't know who that is. You don't know who
- 37:53Speaker 3: Fred and Ethel Mertz were. They were powers born in
- 37:55Speaker 3: eighty one. They were the power couple of the fifties.
- 37:58Speaker 3: You know again, I was born in eighty one, he was.
- 38:01Speaker 1: In his seventies. She was like maybe thirty five. Ethel
- 38:05Speaker 1: Mertz and they were married and he owned an apartment
- 38:08Speaker 1: building in Manhattan. The show you know what he'd be
- 38:12Speaker 1: worth now he'd be And then they have their neighbors.
- 38:14Speaker 1: He was an entertainer, and he's saying, Bob aloom, I
- 38:18Speaker 1: Love Lucy. How did you not know the friends? Oh? Okay, well, okay.
- 38:22Speaker 3: Fine, okay, now I get that, all right, all right,
- 38:24Speaker 3: I get that.
- 38:24Speaker 1: But if I want to watch I want to watch
- 38:26Speaker 1: I Love Lucy. They have I Love Lucy channel. They
- 38:29Speaker 1: have a dateline channel.
- 38:31Speaker 3: So yeah, Google's got stuff like that. I'd say it
- 38:34Speaker 3: was like Sea, almost like Pluto.
- 38:35Speaker 1: You know, they don't have like sewing with Bob, you know,
- 38:39Speaker 1: or something like that. I think actually, I actually I
- 38:41Speaker 1: think Google actually has a Bob Ross twenty four to
- 38:44Speaker 1: seven channel. Okay, that would be good that the painter,
- 38:47Speaker 1: yeah old with the afro. Yeah, oh, I used to
- 38:50Speaker 1: love Bob Ross. You know, there's so many choices out there.
- 38:53Speaker 1: What about Plex? Is Plex any good? Anymore? Plex TeV?
- 38:57Speaker 4: I wouldn't use Plex for their TV stuff. Their TV
- 39:00Speaker 4: stuff is kind of weak sauce, right, yeah, And it's
- 39:04Speaker 4: it's kind of annoying to have it enabled when you're
- 39:08Speaker 4: trying to just use it for your own content.
- 39:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I've never used it.
- 39:14Speaker 4: They should have, you know, with with with with the
- 39:17Speaker 4: unlimited with the lifetime Plex pass, so you do get
- 39:20Speaker 4: part of their DVR. You can't DVR stuff with your
- 39:23Speaker 4: own odd your own hard drives and stuff.
- 39:25Speaker 2: So mm hmm.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Now let's keep that in mind for just a moment here.
- 39:29Speaker 3: You know, she was talking about free programs, right. One
- 39:32Speaker 3: way to get a free program is just simply to
- 39:35Speaker 3: get an antenna, like get get yourself in over the
- 39:38Speaker 3: air antenna. Every single TV, regardless if it's smarter or not,
- 39:41Speaker 3: still has that little cable input that can be used
- 39:45Speaker 3: for an antenna. Just plug your antenna in, go to
- 39:48Speaker 3: your TV's TV function and scan, and you will get
- 39:53Speaker 3: all of your local channels for free, just the same
- 39:55Speaker 3: way you would get it on cable. And it's gonna
- 39:58Speaker 3: cost you absolutely nothing.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Have you ever been into the antenna aisle of s Walmart?
- 40:03Speaker 1: You ever been in it? It could be confusing, which
- 40:07Speaker 1: which antennant do you need? You know what I'd recommend
- 40:10Speaker 1: go in with the app, like have the app, get
- 40:13Speaker 1: the app. You get the app from RCA, get the
- 40:15Speaker 1: app from Even when you're there, you could scan the
- 40:18Speaker 1: box for that free app that'll tell you what channels
- 40:21Speaker 1: you may be able to get in your area. Go
- 40:22Speaker 1: home and actually look, it'll tell you which antenna to
- 40:25Speaker 1: get based on the channels.
- 40:27Speaker 3: Because what is that website? I think it's called dish
- 40:30Speaker 3: pointer or antenna isn't it. I think it's Antenna Finder
- 40:35Speaker 3: or something like that. But yeah, there are there are
- 40:36Speaker 3: definitely websites out there. You just simply type in your
- 40:39Speaker 3: area code and it will tell you where the towers
- 40:43Speaker 3: in your area are located, and it will tell you
- 40:45Speaker 3: exactly what direction to point your antenna. Now, if your
- 40:49Speaker 3: house happens to be facing the opposite direction that the
- 40:52Speaker 3: television antennas are, yeah you may have a little bit
- 40:56Speaker 3: of a problem picking up channels. But if you, you know,
- 40:59Speaker 3: happen to have a line of sight to that, having
- 41:01Speaker 3: just a simple window, flat, paper, thin window antenna will
- 41:05Speaker 3: work just fine. If not, you might have to step
- 41:08Speaker 3: up to like a you know, a powered antenna, or
- 41:11Speaker 3: if you're like way out in the boonies, yeah you
- 41:13Speaker 3: might have to get one of those super tall, you know,
- 41:16Speaker 3: roof mounted you know, yaggi antennas, which nobody's gonna want
- 41:20Speaker 3: to do that. But that's an option.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, so Laura, right away we would say
- 41:24Speaker 1: fu boo fubu right or fubo bo bo fu bo
- 41:29Speaker 1: Pluto TV. What's the other one?
- 41:32Speaker 3: You guys said, Oh, Pluto.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I already said Pluto Pluto to b two boob to
- 41:39Speaker 1: boo boo, all right, Bubo.
- 41:43Speaker 3: Boo Boo is a shoe company.
- 41:46Speaker 1: All right.
- 41:47Speaker 4: Another there's an app called bat Too.
- 41:49Speaker 1: There probably is another break. We'll be back with more
- 41:52Speaker 1: of tech Talk Radio.
- 41:52Speaker 3: I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Sean de Weird, and I'm justin.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Let me find us on Facebook at facebook dot com,
- 41:58Speaker 3: forward slash tech Tuckers.
- 42:00Speaker 2: We right back and now back to tech talk Radio.
- 42:04Speaker 3: Now. In the first segment, we were talking about getting
- 42:06Speaker 3: a new device and then the possible trade ins and
- 42:08Speaker 3: things like that. I saw this interesting story about this.
- 42:11Speaker 3: So there's a guy that got a new phone, I
- 42:13Speaker 3: think it was he was getting the new Pixel nine,
- 42:15Speaker 3: and he wanted to get the new Pixel Watch three.
- 42:18Speaker 3: He already had an older pixel and the pixel Watch one.
- 42:21Speaker 3: And when he was going to go buy these the
- 42:24Speaker 3: phone and the watch, the trade in value of his
- 42:27Speaker 3: old phone and his old watch were like six hundred
- 42:31Speaker 3: and like two fifty respectively.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Wow.
- 42:34Speaker 3: But but then he didn't pull the trigger on it.
- 42:36Speaker 3: He didn't get the stuff for like about a week
- 42:38Speaker 3: and a half or two weeks after they had launched.
- 42:41Speaker 3: When he went back to go do it now, he
- 42:44Speaker 3: was noticing that the phone was worth like one hundred
- 42:47Speaker 3: and fifty and the watch was worth like thirty bucks. Wait,
- 42:49Speaker 3: wide rate in value?
- 42:50Speaker 1: Why go down so much? Because this is.
- 42:53Speaker 3: What they do is it's when a new product launches.
- 42:57Speaker 3: They want to get as many people to buy that
- 42:59Speaker 3: new product as possible, so they pay more for trade
- 43:03Speaker 3: in value, and that money comes out of the marketing
- 43:07Speaker 3: budget of that manufacturer. So take for instance, Google, all
- 43:11Speaker 3: of that inflated trade in value for your device comes
- 43:16Speaker 3: out of the marketing budget for Google for that year.
- 43:20Speaker 3: And then once they've gotten through all the pre orders
- 43:22Speaker 3: and the hype has died down over the next you know,
- 43:24Speaker 3: a week or two, then they actually offer you what
- 43:28Speaker 3: your device is actually worth, which in a case of
- 43:31Speaker 3: a phone, about one hundred and fifty bucks, when the
- 43:33Speaker 3: case of a smart watch about thirty to fifty bucks.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah, would you would you now you've you turned
- 43:41Speaker 1: you went ahead and did that right?
- 43:42Speaker 3: Because I did?
- 43:43Speaker 1: I have like every I found my old iPod Touch
- 43:47Speaker 1: the other day. I mean, I've got every iPhone that
- 43:49Speaker 1: I've ever had. Still I haven't android.
- 43:53Speaker 3: That devices now I trade them in. I trade them
- 43:55Speaker 3: in if I go with it. I mean, when I
- 43:57Speaker 3: buy a device, I buy it at launch and I
- 43:59Speaker 3: get that and flid values. So I just recently traded
- 44:02Speaker 3: in my pixel eight pro for the new pixel ninefold.
- 44:05Speaker 3: I think I got four hundred and fifty for the
- 44:07Speaker 3: Pixelate Pixelate Pro. And I also traded my pixel Watch one,
- 44:12Speaker 3: which I think I got one hundred and seventy five
- 44:15Speaker 3: dollars for, but now it's worth like thirty bucks.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Oh man, Sean, what about you, cause you're like me,
- 44:20Speaker 1: don't you keep all of your devices?
- 44:23Speaker 4: Yeah? I sure do.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:25Speaker 3: I mean I I that she.
- 44:29Speaker 4: Has all her own phones too.
- 44:30Speaker 3: Oh okay, I mean I'm not joking.
- 44:32Speaker 4: I still have my Nope, I still have I don't
- 44:35Speaker 4: even remember what the model number is, the og Nokia Brick.
- 44:39Speaker 3: The sixty one ten.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Oh my lord.
- 44:42Speaker 4: So I my brother, My brother and I in high school,
- 44:45Speaker 4: so this would have been two thousand and two, two thousand,
- 44:49Speaker 4: so two thousand and two we had to share a phone.
- 44:53Speaker 4: We shared a cell phone in high school. I bet
- 44:56Speaker 4: that was hard, the Nokia brick, right, you're real, tad. Yeah,
- 45:00Speaker 4: then then I mean I still have that. I still
- 45:04Speaker 4: have my Motoro Eraser. I still have my Alltel foot phone.
- 45:08Speaker 4: I still got my my LG Sidekick. I've still got
- 45:12Speaker 4: my LG Triton. I still got you know, i still
- 45:16Speaker 4: have my original three G Apple iPhone. And then I've
- 45:20Speaker 4: still got my four, my four S, my five, my
- 45:24Speaker 4: seven plus.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Wow, I still have them all. Now what should what
- 45:28Speaker 1: should somebody think about though? When they have their old
- 45:32Speaker 1: device and they say, Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna just
- 45:35Speaker 1: turn it in. You're like, like earlier we heard from
- 45:37Speaker 1: from Grace who he's given a computer to her granddaughter.
- 45:41Speaker 1: You know what, what things should you think about? I mean,
- 45:44Speaker 1: you've got data that has come through that did that'll
- 45:47Speaker 1: take care of it all right?
- 45:49Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah? On a phone?
- 45:50Speaker 4: Yeah, on a phone, a factory reset.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Right.
- 45:52Speaker 4: If Grace is going to give her granddaughter her computers,
- 45:56Speaker 4: give her put a new hard drive in it.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Yeah, pretty hard drives. Take a hard drive out that
- 46:00Speaker 3: that's where we're talking about a computer. Yeah, you don't
- 46:02Speaker 3: want to leave a hard drive in a computer or
- 46:04Speaker 3: anything like that. But with a phone or a smart watch, yeah,
- 46:07Speaker 3: just do a factory reset.
- 46:08Speaker 1: And that is not going to be recoverable. It's like
- 46:10Speaker 1: a d D wipe.
- 46:11Speaker 4: Well, hold on, hold on, because Apple did have some
- 46:17Speaker 4: issues not that long ago with resets that scored right
- 46:24Speaker 4: with the Apple had an issue about probably six months
- 46:27Speaker 4: ago where deleted items were being probably the databases weren't
- 46:33Speaker 4: properly being I don't know whatever written so that after
- 46:38Speaker 4: after a period of time, things would show back up.
- 46:43Speaker 3: No, So hmmm, well, well I'm sure I could probably
- 46:48Speaker 3: go for both ways anyway. I mean, ANDREI could probably
- 46:51Speaker 3: be the same thing. But yeah, yeah, I mean I
- 46:53Speaker 3: could see that. Yes, whatever's in the cloud, I mean,
- 46:57Speaker 3: it's always going to be there, regardless if you deleted
- 46:59Speaker 3: or not. It's gonna be in the clouds somewhere.
- 47:01Speaker 1: I did a uh what did a test years ago
- 47:04Speaker 1: where I bought a flash drive and I don't know
- 47:08Speaker 1: if they've they've changed it or whatnot. I just happened
- 47:10Speaker 1: to be lucky with this one. But I buy this
- 47:12Speaker 1: flash drive at this used bookstore, and I went ahead
- 47:15Speaker 1: and I ran it through the recovery software that I
- 47:19Speaker 1: have that is probably some of the best. Uh. And
- 47:23Speaker 1: it found a bevy of photos, documents, the whole bit
- 47:28Speaker 1: that were originally deleted that showed up as lost files.
- 47:32Speaker 1: But you basically had all of that. So you got
- 47:35Speaker 1: to think about that. If you're, you know, even getting
- 47:37Speaker 1: rid of a flash drive, you want to ever do that?
- 47:39Speaker 1: Just destroy it? Yeah, just destroy it.
- 47:42Speaker 4: Hit it with a hammer, break it apart, crack it
- 47:44Speaker 4: in half, whatever, put it a fire.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, you gotta beavis.
- 47:51Speaker 4: People don't, I mean for the layman's right, they don't
- 47:55Speaker 4: know that data is that recoverable?
- 47:57Speaker 1: Right?
- 47:57Speaker 4: You think I deleted it's gone.
- 47:59Speaker 1: Right, Nope, just because you hit the lead.
- 48:02Speaker 4: Those zeros and ones are just there until they get
- 48:04Speaker 4: written by other zeros.
- 48:05Speaker 1: And ones, right, and they get retto over. If they
- 48:07Speaker 1: haven't been written over, and even even if they've been
- 48:09Speaker 1: getting over, you may find a partial partial file there.
- 48:14Speaker 1: So again, yeah, you you gotta be really careful about that.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Here's something that Justin has to be careful with. And
- 48:19Speaker 1: I was looking forward to this. W c c F
- 48:21Speaker 1: Tech did a story about the Google Pixel nine pro fold,
- 48:26Speaker 1: which he's very proud of. And you spent what almost well,
- 48:31Speaker 1: you you got good deals because again, you did it
- 48:33Speaker 1: at the right time. But people are finding that they're
- 48:35Speaker 1: spinning up to upwards of two grand for this this new,
- 48:39Speaker 1: brand new, you know, pixel fold phone. If you bend
- 48:42Speaker 1: it in the wrong direction, apparently it will snap.
- 48:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, okay, duh, I mean, I mean, come on,
- 48:53Speaker 3: what kind of story is this?
- 48:55Speaker 1: Right?
- 48:57Speaker 3: Did you know that if you if you drive a
- 48:59Speaker 3: car and you hit a brick wall, it'll actually destroy
- 49:02Speaker 3: the car.
- 49:02Speaker 1: Yes, Oh my gosh, I.
- 49:05Speaker 4: Did not know that if you fold a real book
- 49:08Speaker 4: the wrong way, it'll break the spine.
- 49:10Speaker 1: There you go.
- 49:13Speaker 3: I mean, come on, people, it was just written by
- 49:15Speaker 3: a bunch of Apple fanboys or something like. Oh, if
- 49:17Speaker 3: you bend the phone the wrong way, well no, duh.
- 49:20Speaker 1: So there go. Justin make sure you don't bend your
- 49:23Speaker 1: phone the wrong way.
- 49:25Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, I have an IQ a little bit higher
- 49:27Speaker 3: than that.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Geeesh, all right. One of the great gifts for the
- 49:30Speaker 1: holidays has always been the tile. Yeah, and did you
- 49:34Speaker 1: any of you ever have a tile?
- 49:35Speaker 3: I had one. I actually I just tossed my tile.
- 49:38Speaker 1: You tossed your tile.
- 49:39Speaker 3: Because I told me the battery has been dead for
- 49:41Speaker 3: years and I've never once used it.
- 49:43Speaker 1: The original ones were terrible because you couldn't replace the
- 49:45Speaker 1: battery once it's dead. It was like, yeah, it's dead. Well, ah,
- 49:50Speaker 1: a title is a tracking device again, first disposable. When
- 49:53Speaker 1: the battery died, you toss it. Then they added replaceable
- 49:55Speaker 1: batteries to them, which was kind of cool. Uh, And
- 49:58Speaker 1: now they have added more or as a competitor to
- 50:01Speaker 1: air tags from Apple, the Bluetooth tracker has different colors,
- 50:05Speaker 1: longer range, and an SOS button with a premium account,
- 50:08Speaker 1: so you know, if you have a free account, I
- 50:10Speaker 1: get to do that. But if you buy a premium account,
- 50:12Speaker 1: you'll have an SOS button on it. So if you're
- 50:14Speaker 1: in trouble, apparently you'll be able to push this and
- 50:18Speaker 1: it will then the trackers. But it's cheap.
- 50:21Speaker 3: Justin your phone button my phone. Everybody has a phone,
- 50:24Speaker 3: so yeah, SOS in my phone. Just tap it five times,
- 50:26Speaker 3: it calls the police.
- 50:28Speaker 1: There you go. Well, this company was bought by Life
- 50:30Speaker 1: three sixty back in twenty twenty one for a lot
- 50:33Speaker 1: of money. Then all of a sudden, the air tags
- 50:35Speaker 1: came became very popular. So they haven't put anything out
- 50:37Speaker 1: for a while, so they're putting them out Now I
- 50:39Speaker 1: love giving tiles for the holidays. I always did. I
- 50:42Speaker 1: always put a tile in my kids socking. You know
- 50:45Speaker 1: that whole bit and worked out pretty good.
- 50:47Speaker 3: So to talk about life three sixty real quick.
- 50:50Speaker 4: So my family subscribes to that. Oh cool, So like
- 50:53Speaker 4: my parents, and it's it's great. It's a great way
- 50:57Speaker 4: to keep track of family members like that. It's a
- 51:01Speaker 4: great resource to have. You can set up zones so
- 51:04Speaker 4: what I know my parents are coming, which is kind
- 51:06Speaker 4: of a nice thing when you know your parents are
- 51:08Speaker 4: going to be fifteen minutes away. Things like that. You
- 51:10Speaker 4: can set up all these zones, gates and stuff. It's
- 51:13Speaker 4: nice to know people are showing up at your house
- 51:14Speaker 4: when you're not expecting them. Yes, but it's a great
- 51:18Speaker 4: it's a great resource to have. So if you're interested
- 51:20Speaker 4: in that type of thing for protecting people in your
- 51:22Speaker 4: family or snooping on people.
- 51:25Speaker 1: By three six, there you go. All right, another quick break,
- 51:28Speaker 1: Come back with more of Tech Talk Radio.

- 52:06Speaker 2: And now back to tech talk Radio.
- 52:09Speaker 4: So to wrap up this week's show, we like to
- 52:12Speaker 4: talk occasionally about just what we're what we've been playing online,
- 52:15Speaker 4: what games have been playing. So the two big ones
- 52:19Speaker 4: that I've been playing are been getting caught up in
- 52:22Speaker 4: Diablo four. Oh, because on October eighth, the new expansion
- 52:26Speaker 4: for Diablo four drops called The Vessel of Hatred. It
- 52:29Speaker 4: adds a new character. It's gonna be really fun. The
- 52:32Speaker 4: other thing is last week the new World of Warcraft
- 52:35Speaker 4: expansion dropped called The War Within. So there's a New
- 52:38Speaker 4: World of Warcraft expansion. You guys know that I've been
- 52:41Speaker 4: playing that since two thousand and four, so of course
- 52:44Speaker 4: I'm playing that. So that's I I've been playing recently.
- 52:47Speaker 3: But I find it so interesting that World of Warcraft
- 52:49Speaker 3: is still around after all this time, and.
- 52:52Speaker 4: It's still the It's still the largest, if not one
- 52:55Speaker 4: of the largest MMOs that exists.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Do you get do you think new gamers are jumping
- 53:00Speaker 1: into this one sean like maybe that never played the
- 53:03Speaker 1: franchise before that are just starting to play games.
- 53:05Speaker 4: So I think at this point it's being carried by
- 53:08Speaker 4: the generational gap. Right. You have people that played it
- 53:13Speaker 4: in their early twenties when it first came out in
- 53:16Speaker 4: two thousand and four. Their kids are now into their
- 53:19Speaker 4: early twenties because the game is twenty years old. Wow, right,
- 53:22Speaker 4: so you have you have their kids that are playing it, right.
- 53:24Speaker 4: So I think it's it's a word of mouth game, right,
- 53:27Speaker 4: It's it's you've played it with your friends in high school,
- 53:29Speaker 4: you played it with your friends of college, you played
- 53:31Speaker 4: it with your coworkers, right, It's just it's the community
- 53:34Speaker 4: surrounding this game is what drives it. So I think
- 53:38Speaker 4: it new people, yeah, but it's it could be a
- 53:41Speaker 4: little intimidating for newer players just because of the depth
- 53:45Speaker 4: of you know, there's so many classes and so many
- 53:48Speaker 4: different things you can do in the game.
- 53:49Speaker 1: So I'd feel like a digglehead because I don't know
- 53:51Speaker 1: the terms, the characters, that a whole bit, but it
- 53:54Speaker 1: would be fun to start trying. How about you justin
- 53:57Speaker 1: what what are you playing? I?
- 54:00Speaker 3: I am giving Cyberpunk twenty seventy seven another spin still.
- 54:04Speaker 3: Well know, when it came out, it sucked really bad,
- 54:07Speaker 3: and I returned the game and I got the refund.
- 54:09Speaker 3: But now after a few years, everybody's saying it is
- 54:12Speaker 3: actually finally it's just like No Man's Sky we talked
- 54:14Speaker 3: about in the past. They finally got a chance to
- 54:17Speaker 3: finish the game and put that extra code of polish
- 54:19Speaker 3: on it, and it is a really good game. I'm
- 54:22Speaker 3: playing that, And I'm also playing war Thunder, which is
- 54:25Speaker 3: a free to play mm war simulation where you can
- 54:28Speaker 3: be tanks, you can be warships like naval, or you
- 54:33Speaker 3: can be air air battles.
- 54:35Speaker 1: Oh nice, Well I have to I know we've got
- 54:38Speaker 1: some keys that are going to be coming our way,
- 54:39Speaker 1: so you guys could try out a couple of games,
- 54:41Speaker 1: So maybe we'll be able to report on those next
- 54:43Speaker 1: week on the show. In the meantime, hit up our
- 54:45Speaker 1: website hit Up our blog, you know, we'll post other
- 54:48Speaker 1: stuff on there. You can check out the TV segment
- 54:50Speaker 1: where I showed off the Pixel nine. We'll see if
- 54:52Speaker 1: I still have it next week.

- 54:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm Sean de Weird and I'm justin Lemme tech
