  happen in the first inning. Scherzer went out there, did

  everybody on his team a solid didn't give up a run on the 1st

  inning. I took that loss.

  But man, we were all winners with that game, with that

  series. Dodgers won Crazy.

  Just that was a classic classic Fall classic, right?

  Like awesome, just great game, great series, fantastic.

  All right, so today we got the football.

  Baseball's over into the football today.

  I'm looking across the slate and there's a lot of trap games that
• 0:55
  I see a lot of games where it's teams that think they're better
• 0:58
  than than they are and other teams that aren't as good as
• 1:02
  they think they is. And just a lot of pitfalls out
• 1:05
  there ready for you to fall into and trying to stay away.

  And as my longtime listeners know, three things that I hate
• 1:12
  most Nuclear Holocaust, tomato based sauces and the New England
• 1:16
  Patriots. I hate the New England Patriots.

  That's the kind of emotionality you got to overcome.

  And the juiciest line that I see this week is that Patriots,
• 1:25
  Falcons line. See the Patriots, they're giving
• 1:28
  up four and a half. They're at home.
• 1:30
  I see them just shutting down Falcons run game-winning this
• 1:34
  game by a touchdown. Phoenix isn't going to do
• 1:36
  anything for against them either.
• 1:37
  Despite my hatred, one thing I love more than my hate for the
• 1:41
  Patriots is money. So today we're going to take the
• 1:44
  Pats and give up the points with them at home.
• 1:47
  So we're going with the New England Patriots -4 1/2 against
• 1:50
  the Atlanta Falcons in today's NFL football action.

  See anything better than that? Pound it.

  That's my pick and I'm sticking to it.

  Ladies and gentlemen, the gaffer here with you out playing golf

  on a Sunday English Premier League slate is a short one

  right now. We got Newcastle, surprisingly

  down to the lowly, lowly West Ham United.

  Later on, though, we got the better match up.

  We got Bournemouth, we got Manchester City.

  In football, anything can happen.

  Could it be that Bournemouth can come away with AW?

  Don't think so. Man City's been playing too

  well. They're on a roll, they're going

  to get all three points. Good luck.

  You're going to need it. It's Week 9.

  We're coming into the back half of the NFL season, the back 9.

  And like the back 9, when you're playing golf and you got roughed

  up in the front nine, you look forward to the back nine.

  You get a flip over the scorecard and a fresh set of

  holes and at least feel like you ended on a good note and maybe

  maybe salvage a good round. And that's what we're trying to

  do with the 2025 NFL season. We're put in the first half of

  the season behind us and we're focusing on coming out in the

  green in the second-half of the season and heading into the
• 3:04
  playoffs with some momentum here.

  So looking at this week's games, kind of a weird week.

  Again, a lot of back of quarterbacks and just a lot of
• 3:12
  points getting thrown around out there.
• 3:13
  If you add up all the points today, it's an average 5 1/2
• 3:16
  points are getting shelled out in every game.
• 3:19
  That's got to be high. I bet if, if if Nate were to
• 3:21
  look that one up, one of their statistic out there on the
• 3:24
  average number of points on the average NFL week over the last
• 3:27
  10 years, I bet you it's probably somewhere around 2 1/2,
• 3:30
  maybe 3 points a field goal. We're looking at like 5 five and
• 3:34
  a half, six points here on average this week, which is
• 3:37
  high. So which brings me to my
• 3:40
  different approach this week. I'm looking to slate.

  It says 7 home dogs. Cousin Vinny loves a home dog.
• 3:46
  And looking down the slate of home dogs, there's a couple
• 3:48
  teams that I can talk myself into.
• 3:50
  So I said, hey, what Cousin Vinny's going to do this week?
• 3:53
  Is he going to take all the home dogs, all 7 the home dogs?
• 3:57
  And I think I will come out on top and at least four of those
• 4:00
  seven games, maybe 5 S What we're going to do is go down the
• 4:04
  list, take each home dog. And for Cousin Vinny to get the
• 4:08
  West this week, he just needs to come out on top.

  That's four or more home dogs win it.

  So what are we looking at? We're looking at Cincy getting
• 4:19
  to with Joe Flacco and his Volvo.
• 4:22
  We're looking at the Giants play at home with Jackson Dark
• 4:25
  getting 2 1/2 points. We're looking at Pittsburgh at
• 4:28
  home getting 3 1/2. I love that extra half point.
• 4:31
  Tennessee getting 10. Love those big numbers.
• 4:34
  New coach. Maybe they'll play inspired.
• 4:36
  Las Vegas getting 2 1/2 against Jacksonville.
• 4:39
  Jacksonville terrible. Maybe Vegas actually wins, but
• 4:41
  I'm not holding my breath on this one.

  We got Washington at home getting three points, Jaden
• 4:46
  Daniels better than Dan Arnold, we like that.
• 4:50
  And then we got Buffalo. The big matchup of the week,
• 4:53
  getting getting 2 points. Always feel good getting points
• 4:55
  when you got Josh Allen on your side.
• 4:57
  So count it up to seven games and on total that's going to be
• 5:01
  24 points. We're getting spread across
• 5:03
  these seven games and I'm thinking we come out on top and
• 5:06
  four or more of these seven games and you come out on top
• 5:10
  too. So we're declaring home dog

  Sunday, Week 9. Take them all to the bank, lock

  it up. You're going to come out on top,
