- 0:11Speaker 2: Warning.
- 0:12Speaker 1: The following podcast contains content and material intended for a
- 0:17Speaker 1: mature audience listener discretion.
- 0:36Speaker 2: You ready for this?
- 0:37Speaker 1: Ready for what?
- 0:38Speaker 2: I'm about to crack open a drink?
- 0:40Speaker 1: Crack it?
- 0:41Speaker 2: You want to see if we can hear it on
- 0:42Speaker 2: the podcast? Ready?
- 0:43Speaker 1: Yep? That was very anti climax.
- 0:50Speaker 2: I'm actually really bad at opening cans.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Yeah, you are why.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I don't know, it's like hard?
- 0:56Speaker 1: What about it is hard? Like what's difficult?
- 0:58Speaker 2: You're getting my finger under the underneath the tab? Is that? Yeah?
- 1:02Speaker 2: The tab? I'm like, what is that even called?
- 1:03Speaker 1: It's a tab?
- 1:05Speaker 2: Yeah? I need it. I need a drink. It's been
- 1:06Speaker 2: a day.
- 1:07Speaker 1: It's been a day. It's been a day kind of day.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Like busy af like being an adult, shit kind of day.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Well, then, yeah, a drink is good. I'm drinking water,
- 1:17Speaker 1: so you're being responsible. Well, it's not that I'm being responsible.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Is if I have a whiskey or beer sitting here,
- 1:22Speaker 1: I can't drink it whenever I'm presenting a case because
- 1:25Speaker 1: I'm always talking, I know, and when I'm like trying
- 1:27Speaker 1: to drink and talk the same. It's just disaster. So
- 1:29Speaker 1: I've got water that I can sip on whenever I
- 1:32Speaker 1: get caught in milk and hit my mic with it.
- 1:35Speaker 2: No winning here, no winning at.
- 1:37Speaker 1: All, no note at all.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I hope everyone else has grabbed their drinks.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, sit back, chill this, have a drink,
- 1:44Speaker 1: have a good time, listen to some some horror stories
- 1:47Speaker 1: of gruesome death.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Yeah it is people, some shit. Listen to some shit
- 1:53Speaker 2: in a good way.
- 1:55Speaker 1: That's quite the vibe. Drinks and shitty situations and murder.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Yeah people. Actually, we get messages often though, where people
- 2:03Speaker 2: are like say that listening to us is just like
- 2:07Speaker 2: chilling with friends and having a bruski or whatever.
- 2:10Speaker 1: This is really cool.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I love that. It's a good vibe. I really like it.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Yeah, so so come have a drink with us. Friends.
- 2:18Speaker 1: We're like, I know, we're like mister dress Up or
- 2:22Speaker 1: like mister Rogers, but the alcoholic versions with murder and.
- 2:27Speaker 2: A bit more exciting.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I feel like they're pretty exciting. What are you talking about?
- 2:31Speaker 1: Mister dress Up had his tickle trunk. That's exciting. Okay,
- 2:34Speaker 1: it's been a while, mister Tree.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Okay, I don't remember stuff like no as well as
- 2:40Speaker 2: you do.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Get Chester. The crow Chester was a cool dude.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I feel like I remember liking mister dress Up though.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, anyway, good times, good times.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Anyway, move on, let's move.
- 2:55Speaker 1: On, let's put to what the move on? Should we
- 2:56Speaker 1: get right into the case or are we going to
- 2:57Speaker 1: talk about anything else?
- 2:58Speaker 2: I don't know. I have absolutely no idea anything about
- 3:02Speaker 2: what's going on today.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah you don't, because I didn't tell.
- 3:06Speaker 2: You a shit. You told me Jack All.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Well, everyone else is gonna know if they checked out Instagram,
- 3:11Speaker 1: because as soon as we drop an episode, we always
- 3:13Speaker 1: dropped the little info thing on Instagram with a photo
- 3:17Speaker 1: and everything. This is being recorded before that, and the
- 3:21Speaker 1: only thing you know is the image I dropped the
- 3:23Speaker 1: other day, which was like what yesterday?
- 3:24Speaker 2: Or I know what everyone else now? So thank you?
- 3:28Speaker 1: Well, no, because right now they're listening, and they know more.
- 3:32Speaker 1: You're actually listening. Prior to them listening, you know less.
- 3:36Speaker 2: So I got a whole whatever amount of hours before pretty.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Much because we're recording this like the day before we go.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Oh man, okay, yeah, we we tend to be okay sometimes,
- 3:49Speaker 2: but like life's just a little busy right now.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So we are recording this. It's supposed to be posted
- 3:56Speaker 1: in what three hours?
- 3:57Speaker 2: Three hours?
- 3:58Speaker 1: Three hours before its supposed to be posted. You know
- 4:00Speaker 1: nothing of the case. You're starting like literally knowing that
- 4:04Speaker 1: a girl wants to go back to land and that's
- 4:06Speaker 1: all you've got.
- 4:06Speaker 2: But I was just gonna say, we're still getting it done.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we are.
- 4:10Speaker 2: We're getting it done.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Yeah, we're not holding this off. We're we go pushing
- 4:14Speaker 1: it off a day, although there might come a time
- 4:16Speaker 1: because we're pushing it off later later.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I know I said that earlier. I was like, uh,
- 4:21Speaker 2: cauld it get much later.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Than this, But we're getting it done.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Last week I was actually real good. Yeah, I was
- 4:27Speaker 2: like ready ahead of time for like the first time
- 4:29Speaker 2: in my life.
- 4:30Speaker 1: This is I've pushed this like really later.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Yeah, you made the record now, so we'll see if
- 4:35Speaker 2: either one of us can.
- 4:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna break the record next episode. I'm talking like
- 4:39Speaker 1: uploading at midnight, not scheduling that upload, just.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Just hitting upload. Yeah, okay, let's not do that. No
- 4:46Speaker 2: you don't think so anyway, I'm ready. I'm ready to
- 4:49Speaker 2: sit my drink.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And be entertained here, so you're going to be entertained.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 4:53Speaker 1: We're gonna talk a story that's entertaining to us, but
- 4:57Speaker 1: definitely not entertaining to Terry Joe dup Alt.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Who is are?
- 5:03Speaker 1: I don't want to say star, but she's definitely who
- 5:06Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about and her point of view? Okay,
- 5:09Speaker 1: you ready for this?
- 5:10Speaker 2: I am ready.
- 5:11Speaker 1: So it was nineteen sixty one and a gentleman by
- 5:15Speaker 1: the name of This is a Greek name, so I'm
- 5:17Speaker 1: gonna try and say it properly, but I'm gonna butcher.
- 5:20Speaker 1: So it's Nicholas spatcha Dacus. I think is how you
- 5:24Speaker 1: say his last name, Nicholas Spockadacas, Nicholas. It was Nicholas.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Okay.
- 5:29Speaker 1: So in nineteen sixty one, Nicholas was a second officer
- 5:32Speaker 1: of the Greek freighter Captain theo He had been scanning
- 5:36Speaker 1: the waters of the Northwest Province Channel, a strait of
- 5:39Speaker 1: water through the islands of the Bahamas, when something caught
- 5:42Speaker 1: his eye. Between thousands of tiny flashes of white caps
- 5:46Speaker 1: out in the ocean, there was one speck that wasn't
- 5:49Speaker 1: flashing like the rest. Now white cap just so everyone
- 5:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you a recap on a white cap,
- 5:57Speaker 1: and I'm gonna drop some bars at the same time,
- 5:58Speaker 1: because I rhyme every time. I'm a polletent. I didn't
- 6:01Speaker 1: know it. Okay, I'm going to stop that now. So
- 6:03Speaker 1: a white cap is the tip of a wave. It's
- 6:05Speaker 1: the turbulent water that turns white as it crashes, and
- 6:09Speaker 1: then it settles quickly back into the water as it
- 6:11Speaker 1: flows into a continual wave and goes again.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Very calming effect, very much so, except that white cap
- 6:19Speaker 1: is the non calming effect. It's the turbulent part of
- 6:21Speaker 1: the calm.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Right.
- 6:23Speaker 1: So this white speck wasn't doing that. It was steady,
- 6:27Speaker 1: it was not settling back into the ocean. It was
- 6:30Speaker 1: just there. Okay, So what is it among hundreds of
- 6:35Speaker 1: other boats in this channel? Nicholas focused in on this
- 6:39Speaker 1: single dot and realized it was too large to be
- 6:42Speaker 1: a piece of debris and too small to be another boat.
- 6:47Speaker 2: So is it a body?
- 6:51Speaker 1: Well, you're gonna find out, aren't you.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I thought you were going to just tell me right away.
- 6:56Speaker 2: I didn't know that.
- 6:59Speaker 1: So he alerted the CA and they decided they put
- 7:01Speaker 1: the freighter on a course towards the speck. As they
- 7:04Speaker 1: grew closer, they were shocked to discover a little blonde
- 7:07Speaker 1: hair girl floating by herself in a small, inflatable life boat.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, yeah, I actually like alive.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Well, we'll get there.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I didn't expect that, okay. In the little boat.
- 7:20Speaker 1: One of the crew members took a picture of her sitting, so, yes,
- 7:23Speaker 1: she's alive.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Oh okay.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I thought I might have had it a little farther
- 7:26Speaker 1: down those building suspense, But no, she's alive. One of
- 7:29Speaker 1: the crew members took a picture of her sitting on
- 7:31Speaker 1: the side of the life raft. And life raft was
- 7:33Speaker 1: about two and a half feet by five feet long,
- 7:36Speaker 1: so it's pretty small, and she's looking up the vessel,
- 7:39Speaker 1: up to the vessel that just saved her life. This
- 7:41Speaker 1: image is like, is a major iconic image now. It's
- 7:44Speaker 1: made headlines worldwide when this first occurred, including a front
- 7:48Speaker 1: page on Life magazine.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Are you going to share the image?
- 7:51Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah, that's what's going on.
- 7:52Speaker 2: It's sweet, okay, I can't wait to see it.
- 7:55Speaker 1: So the captain quickly called out orders to stop the engines,
- 7:58Speaker 1: you know, and put a small raft board to rescue
- 8:00Speaker 1: the little girl. And the men quickly lashed together some
- 8:03Speaker 1: empty oil drums together as a raft because their lifeboats
- 8:07Speaker 1: were too large, right, Like, if they were to get overboard,
- 8:10Speaker 1: it was just gonna be too clumsy, you take too long,
- 8:12Speaker 1: you know that sort of thing. So quickly lash some
- 8:14Speaker 1: oil bills barrels together. There we go. Okay, So I
- 8:18Speaker 1: got to her quickly. And it's not known exactly why
- 8:21Speaker 1: I couldn't find any facts on this, but the captain
- 8:23Speaker 1: shouted for them to hurry at one point, and it's
- 8:26Speaker 1: believed because he saw sharks in the water. Ah believed
- 8:30Speaker 1: I couldn't find facts.
- 8:31Speaker 2: That's terrifying. Yeah, that's why I'm like, actually a little
- 8:35Speaker 2: sketch showed by the ocean.
- 8:36Speaker 1: But keep going, Well, there's there's some crazy shit.
- 8:39Speaker 2: There's a lot in there.
- 8:41Speaker 1: And so like if it was sharks, like I mean,
- 8:43Speaker 1: could be attracted by the commotion her legs in the
- 8:45Speaker 1: water maybe, And she was in pretty rough shape, like
- 8:49Speaker 1: her skin was obviously raw from the sunburn and the
- 8:52Speaker 1: salt water, and there's a real possibility of her blood
- 8:54Speaker 1: being in the water and attracting sharks. So it's not
- 8:56Speaker 1: like this is like, oh my god, sharks, it's like, no,
- 8:59Speaker 1: this is like a potential of a real possibility, right, Yeah,
- 9:03Speaker 1: So a crew member quickly made the oil barrel raft
- 9:06Speaker 1: over to her and lifted the girl aboard. She fell
- 9:10Speaker 1: limp onto the deck of the vessel immediately. Her lips
- 9:13Speaker 1: were puffy, skin was sunburnt and raw. Like I said,
- 9:16Speaker 1: she was severely dehydrated, had sunken in cheeks, and bleached
- 9:20Speaker 1: hair almost white by the tropical sun. Wow, she was
- 9:23Speaker 1: in shape.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Did you see how old she is?
- 9:28Speaker 1: I don't think I did yet. She's about eleven years old.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Oh my poor thing. Yeah, that's terrifying. I don't know
- 9:36Speaker 2: what happened here.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Well, we're getting into it, so just just settle down
- 9:39Speaker 1: a bit. We got this. We just go with the flow. Drink,
- 9:44Speaker 1: drink exactly. So crew member tried to help her stand,
- 9:48Speaker 1: but her legs buckled. The captain tried to get her
- 9:50Speaker 1: to talk, but she was unresponsive, and kept coaxing her,
- 9:53Speaker 1: trying to get information from her, and eventually he did
- 9:56Speaker 1: get some information from her. He was asking about family,
- 9:59Speaker 1: and she gave a thumbs down, and then she uttered
- 10:03Speaker 1: her name, Terry Joe Duperoult and the words Bluebell. And
- 10:08Speaker 1: they quickly found out. That was the name of the
- 10:10Speaker 1: vessel that she was aboard. Okay, so yeah, she's been
- 10:16Speaker 1: out there for a while. She's in rough shape. The
- 10:19Speaker 1: immediately evaker by air. Yeah to land, right, So she
- 10:23Speaker 1: was quickly evacuated to the hospital. Hold on, I lost
- 10:28Speaker 1: my spot here, dude, that's making it worse. Okay, So
- 10:36Speaker 1: she was quickly evacuated by air to hospital. And even
- 10:40Speaker 1: though all we know is that she's a girl lost
- 10:42Speaker 1: at sea, the Coastguard had already found another person three
- 10:46Speaker 1: days earlier who was at sea, a forty four year
- 10:49Speaker 1: old man by the name of Julian Harvey. He was
- 10:53Speaker 1: rescued in a life raft alongside the body of seven
- 10:56Speaker 1: year old Renee, was the little sister of Terry. He
- 11:00Speaker 1: was also aboard the same vessel.
- 11:03Speaker 2: What that deck is going on here?
- 11:05Speaker 1: Hey, okay again, calm down, we're going to get into it.
- 11:10Speaker 2: What the.
- 11:12Speaker 1: He told investigators that a small sudden storm brought down
- 11:16Speaker 1: the Bluebell's masts and the Blue Bell the boat was
- 11:19Speaker 1: about a sixty foot two masked sailboat. So he said
- 11:25Speaker 1: that it brought down the masts and it ruptured the
- 11:27Speaker 1: hull and the gas tanks began to leak and started
- 11:30Speaker 1: a fire. Most of the crew on board, being Terry's family,
- 11:36Speaker 1: were trapped inside the cabin underneath the masts colloused, so
- 11:41Speaker 1: he said, the boat went down and sank. Everyone on
- 11:44Speaker 1: board was lost at sea except for him, and he
- 11:48Speaker 1: made his escape. As he was making his escape, he
- 11:51Speaker 1: found Renee floating in the water and tried to revive her,
- 11:54Speaker 1: but was unsuccessful, and an autopsy later showed that Renee
- 11:58Speaker 1: did in fact die of drowning. Okay, so he was
- 12:05Speaker 1: I'm not too sure how to say this without telling
- 12:07Speaker 1: too much yet, but he was discussing his story with
- 12:12Speaker 1: coastguards and everything like that, and literally like right at
- 12:16Speaker 1: the end of this, like it's very like cinematic, like
- 12:18Speaker 1: that dramatic moment where like the loose ends are all
- 12:21Speaker 1: wrapping up sort of thing, and someone bursts in the door,
- 12:23Speaker 1: almost like at a wedding, like does anyone object to this?
- 12:27Speaker 1: Then someone comes in I object like that sort of thing.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Like right at the end of him like talking with
- 12:32Speaker 1: these these people, someone bursts into the conference room that
- 12:36Speaker 1: they're in and was like, we found another survivor. Terry's alive.
- 12:42Speaker 2: So okay, so he didn't even.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Know he didn't far as he knew, he was the only.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Survivor, and then Terry's sister, but she had died.
- 12:53Speaker 1: She had drowned, so he'd stammered like, oh my god.
- 12:56Speaker 1: When he heard the news, he exclaimed like that's that's
- 12:59Speaker 1: one wonderfult, like this is wonderful news. This little girl
- 13:02Speaker 1: just survived, right.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:03Speaker 1: However, the next day, Julian Harvey was found in his
- 13:06Speaker 1: hotel room dead. He had committed suicide by cutting his thighs, ankles,
- 13:12Speaker 1: and throat with the razor.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Oh oh gross. That gave me instant shivers.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Meanwhile, over the course of the next eleven days, Terry
- 13:23Speaker 1: Joe made a full recovery in hospital. Huh, so, what
- 13:29Speaker 1: do you think is going down? I'm going to kind
- 13:30Speaker 1: of stop there and see if you've got any speculations
- 13:32Speaker 1: going on.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Well, because I never catch on though, Like there'sn't even
- 13:37Speaker 2: like big hints you've given and I'm just like.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Not at a Oh so you've caught on that they're
- 13:42Speaker 1: big hints, then yeah.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Well not until after the real thing comes out.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Okay, I thought you were saying you already heard big
- 13:50Speaker 1: hints in the story.
- 13:50Speaker 2: No, I feel like I have absolutely no idea. What's
- 13:53Speaker 2: going on?
- 13:54Speaker 1: Well, what exactly happened on board the Bluebell, like, we
- 13:58Speaker 1: don't exactly know, but through Harry's accounts and the work
- 14:01Speaker 1: of investigators, we do have a story put together on
- 14:05Speaker 1: what is believed to have happened. And it's it's, as
- 14:09Speaker 1: far as we can say, pretty accurate because Terry was there,
- 14:12Speaker 1: but she didn't waitness everything, right, So okay, so Terry's
- 14:17Speaker 1: this goes back a little bit here. Terry's father, Arthur Dupraldt,
- 14:21Speaker 1: always dreamed of taking his family out on the open
- 14:23Speaker 1: sea for an adventure. He was an optometrist and spent
- 14:26Speaker 1: several years saving up his hard earned income to take
- 14:29Speaker 1: his family out on sea to explore exotic islands. By
- 14:33Speaker 1: nineteen sixty one, he saved up enough to take his
- 14:36Speaker 1: family out on the vacation they deserved. Nice, right, we
- 14:39Speaker 1: all dream of that, Yeah, get away from the nine
- 14:42Speaker 1: to five.
- 14:42Speaker 2: The hawsome bustle.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Right. So the family was originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin,
- 14:47Speaker 1: which which certainly isn't like a warm, exotic place by
- 14:51Speaker 1: any means.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I think that seventies show they're out in Wisconsin. Oh, okay, okay,
- 14:58Speaker 1: and they're always like bundled up and stuff, right, I
- 15:01Speaker 1: like how flannels wearing flannels lots. I like how that's
- 15:04Speaker 1: my reference for that geography, that genotical area.
- 15:09Speaker 2: I thought.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Okay, So like literally, like like every other family out there,
- 15:16Speaker 1: they're like, yeah, we want to go travel somewhere exotic,
- 15:18Speaker 1: get away, somewhere warm, relax, have an adventure.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Right, that sounds awesome.
- 15:23Speaker 1: I want to do that. Can we do that?
- 15:24Speaker 2: I would do anything to do that right now.
- 15:27Speaker 1: So the rest of the fen well, I mean, COVID
- 15:29Speaker 1: is going to hold us back for a while.
- 15:30Speaker 2: But exactly, yeah, exactly.
- 15:33Speaker 1: So the rest of the family was made up of
- 15:34Speaker 1: Terry's mother, Jean Duperoult, her brother Brian, who was fourteen
- 15:38Speaker 1: years old, and her sister Renee, who was seven years old.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Their destination was the Bahamas. They wanted to reach. Well,
- 15:48Speaker 1: I just like brain farted in that sentence. They wanted
- 15:51Speaker 1: they wanted to reach the islands of the Bahamas in
- 15:54Speaker 1: a nice ship. So they want to sail that whole way. Awesome,
- 15:58Speaker 1: I love that, right, It's got like just like Pirates
- 16:00Speaker 1: of the Caribbean, just like an epic adventure.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:03Speaker 1: So they made their way from Green Bay, Wisconsin to
- 16:05Speaker 1: Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they met up with Julian Harvey,
- 16:08Speaker 1: who was an old friend of Arthur, and his wife Denay,
- 16:12Speaker 1: who joined them for the cruise. She was going to
- 16:14Speaker 1: be like the cook and everything, and Julian Harvey was
- 16:17Speaker 1: going to be the skipper of the vessel skippers an
- 16:20Speaker 1: informal term for captain. Okay, I didn't know that. I
- 16:23Speaker 1: had to google that.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I had no idea either. You're not alone, so.
- 16:27Speaker 1: We know now. So he was going to skipper the
- 16:29Speaker 1: vessel on that vessel that they rented was the Blue Belt, Okay,
- 16:34Speaker 1: So he would sail the ship, and he had many
- 16:37Speaker 1: years of experienced sailing. Julian was a World War Two
- 16:40Speaker 1: veteran who seemed trustworthy in his history and everything, and
- 16:43Speaker 1: he was very well versed at sea. So it was
- 16:45Speaker 1: some like the perfect person to turn to. So on
- 16:49Speaker 1: November eighth, nineteen sixty one, they set sail for the
- 16:52Speaker 1: Bahamas from Fort Lauderdale.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I have a question, sorry, hit me up. Is this
- 16:57Speaker 2: is the Friends of the Father? Sorry? I think I
- 17:00Speaker 2: might have missed that.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Yes, it's not like they know each other really well,
- 17:05Speaker 1: but it's like, hey, I know.
- 17:06Speaker 2: This guy, and he had needs for a cook and
- 17:09Speaker 2: a captain and worked out.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Okay, He's like, we need someone to be to take
- 17:13Speaker 1: us there in a ship. We don't know how to sail.
- 17:16Speaker 1: And he's like, oh, great, I can do that, you know.
- 17:18Speaker 1: And my wife, you know, she can cook. So you
- 17:20Speaker 1: guys can have your little adventure and great holiday.
- 17:23Speaker 2: There you go.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Boom.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I feel like that's probably not what they should have done,
- 17:28Speaker 2: but there you go.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Well we're about to find out because during the voyage
- 17:31Speaker 1: on the evening of November twelfth, Denay Julian's wife was
- 17:35Speaker 1: preparing dinner chicken catchatory in fact, which was the last
- 17:40Speaker 1: meal ever served on the Blue Belt.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Oh Boy.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Around nine pm, Terry Joe headed below deck to her
- 17:48Speaker 1: sleeping quarters, which was a small little cabin located at
- 17:51Speaker 1: the back of the boat, and ordinarily her sister, Renee
- 17:55Speaker 1: would sleep there with her in the bunk, but that night,
- 17:58Speaker 1: her younger sister remained with her parents and brother on
- 18:00Speaker 1: deck in the cockpit. Okay, I couldn't find out why,
- 18:04Speaker 1: but that's that's what happened.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 18:06Speaker 1: So in the middle of the night, Terry Joe was
- 18:09Speaker 1: startled awake by her brother yelling help, daddy help.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Oh no, yeah, this is where shiit, this is where
- 18:18Speaker 2: it goes. Oh no, you don't want to hear that.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Eh See, that's terrifying. You don't want to being stuck
- 18:24Speaker 2: in the middle of the ocean and needing help.
- 18:26Speaker 1: There's nowhere to run. Yeah, it's you can't run. There's
- 18:30Speaker 1: nothing you can do.
- 18:31Speaker 2: See, so many people have vacation on like cruise ships,
- 18:33Speaker 2: like and I'm talking like pre COVID and stuff. But
- 18:35Speaker 2: I don't actually think that even interests me remotely.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Yeah, not so much for me. But then again, where
- 18:40Speaker 1: like we go out camping in the middle of like
- 18:42Speaker 1: northern well not northern Canadian but like central northern Canadian
- 18:46Speaker 1: forests where there's bears roaming around.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Oh, I would choose that any day.
- 18:50Speaker 1: But if you if something goes wrong, just say, for
- 18:53Speaker 1: the same sake, say there's some that's true mass incident
- 18:57Speaker 1: that happens or occurs of stuff too. Yeah, what are
- 19:02Speaker 1: you gonna do? Run into the trees.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Well, into your trailer or your vehicle. I don't know.
- 19:10Speaker 1: That's not much different than staying aboard the boat.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Anyways, So she heard those screams and She also briefly
- 19:20Speaker 1: heard running in stamping noises and then silence.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Shit.
- 19:27Speaker 1: She laid in her bed terrified, and after about five
- 19:30Speaker 1: minutes she quietly made her way out of the cabin.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Good for her to get up and go check it out.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Yeah, and just so you guys know, because we don't
- 19:38Speaker 1: do this every episode, but whenever I can, I try
- 19:41Speaker 1: and name a bad ass of the day. Terry Joe
- 19:43Speaker 1: is she's bad ass of the day here.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Well, being that little and actually getting out of bed.
- 19:49Speaker 2: That's impressible alone.
- 19:50Speaker 1: She goes through a lot. So when she exited her cabin,
- 19:55Speaker 1: she saw her mother and brother lying in a pool
- 19:58Speaker 1: of blood in the main cabin next to hers, and
- 20:01Speaker 1: instantly she knew they were dead.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 20:06Speaker 1: She kept going though slowly. Terry Joe climbed the stairs
- 20:11Speaker 1: and peeked out of the hatch. She saw more blood,
- 20:15Speaker 1: and as she climbed her way out of the stairs
- 20:17Speaker 1: onto the deck, she was met with Captain Julian Harvey,
- 20:21Speaker 1: who shoved her back down the stairs and shouted, get
- 20:25Speaker 1: back down there.
- 20:27Speaker 4: Oh, freg So, I think you can kind of see
- 20:33Speaker 4: where this is going a little bit, but trust me,
- 20:36Speaker 4: you still don't know what actually happens.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Sounds like hell on earth.
- 20:42Speaker 1: He let's see. Oh, oh, maybe we should name that
- 20:44Speaker 1: episode this hell. Let see hell, let's see. I don't know,
- 20:48Speaker 1: I don't that might get flagged. I don't know, we'll see.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I still, I don't even know if I've thought about
- 20:53Speaker 1: a title for this episode yet. We'll figure that out.
- 20:55Speaker 1: We let's keep going with the story now, okay. Not
- 20:58Speaker 1: knowing what else to do, tearry Joe avoided looking at
- 21:02Speaker 1: her mum and brother as she walked past and crawled
- 21:05Speaker 1: back into her bunk in her cabin alone. Good lord,
- 21:09Speaker 1: She wasn't there long before she heard the sound of
- 21:12Speaker 1: water sloshing around, and her cabin slowly began to fill
- 21:17Speaker 1: up with said water.
- 21:19Speaker 2: The frig again.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Realized the ship was sinking, but she was too afraid.
- 21:24Speaker 1: She didn't move.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Because this asshole told her, oh, I'll just wait, because
- 21:31Speaker 3: the next thing she saw, Julian the captain was standing
- 21:36Speaker 3: in her doorway, and he had something in his hand.
- 21:41Speaker 2: To kill her, to finish her off, probably.
- 21:44Speaker 1: But just as quickly as he appeared, he turned around
- 21:47Speaker 1: and disappeared up the stairs again. So once again she's
- 21:51Speaker 1: left sitting there in her bed.
- 21:53Speaker 2: This guy's a weirdo.
- 21:55Speaker 1: But again, by now the water's starting to flow up
- 21:59Speaker 1: and she's got water coming over the top of her bed.
- 22:01Speaker 1: She has to move.
- 22:02Speaker 2: She can't stay the freaking tear that she must have, so.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Wading through the water waist deep through her room, she
- 22:10Speaker 1: climbed the stairs back to the top deck again, and
- 22:13Speaker 1: when she reached the top deck, she shouted, is the
- 22:15Speaker 1: ship sinking? Julian, from right behind her, responded yes. He
- 22:23Speaker 1: shoved a rope into her hands and said, hold this,
- 22:27Speaker 1: but through the fear and the coldness, with all the
- 22:29Speaker 1: water and the night. I mean, yeah, you're in tropic areas,
- 22:33Speaker 1: but you're in the middle of the ocean. It's cold.
- 22:35Speaker 1: She lost her grip and dropped the rope. She realized
- 22:39Speaker 1: quickly that the rope was connected to the to a
- 22:41Speaker 1: raft at the other end, and now that she dropped
- 22:45Speaker 1: the rope, that raft was drifting away. Julian quickly dove
- 22:49Speaker 1: in the water and swam after the raft into the darkness,
- 22:52Speaker 1: leaving her on the ship sinking alone. Imagine being eleven
- 22:59Speaker 1: years old seeing your family butchered on a sinking ship
- 23:06Speaker 1: in the middle of the ocean, the.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Middle of nowhere. That is just like the worst thing ever.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Thankfully, Terry is a quick thinker. She remembered her dad
- 23:16Speaker 1: showing her another life raft that was lashed to the
- 23:20Speaker 1: side of the ship.
- 23:21Speaker 2: She's smart, hey, it is.
- 23:23Speaker 1: She immediately ran over and thankfully it wasn't underwater yet.
- 23:27Speaker 1: She immediately ran over and began untying it, and she
- 23:31Speaker 1: managed to get it and tied just in time because
- 23:33Speaker 1: her feet were no longer supporting her underneath her, the
- 23:36Speaker 1: ship was because she got it untied.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Go, Terry, go.
- 23:42Speaker 1: So she climbed onto this little floaty dingy raft thing
- 23:45Speaker 1: that is, like I said, it's like two and a
- 23:47Speaker 1: half feet by five feet long. Yeah, And the ship
- 23:52Speaker 1: was sinking underneath her.
- 23:53Speaker 2: It was gone, Bragg and her family's all on there.
- 23:57Speaker 1: But as it was sinking beneath her, a line on
- 24:01Speaker 1: the raft caught the boat, and she and the raft
- 24:04Speaker 1: were pulled under for a moment, and by some fucking miracle,
- 24:09Speaker 1: it just let go and her and the raft pop
- 24:12Speaker 1: back up to the surface.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Thank god. Okay, I was like, how could this get
- 24:16Speaker 2: any worse? But it did.
- 24:17Speaker 1: I just does. Literally, everything just keeps fucking happening.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Holy frick. That's actually a miracle.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Yeah. So now she's left there alone, no boat, no family, no.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Nothing, and I'm assuming her dad's just like dead on
- 24:33Speaker 2: the boat because she didn't see him, right, Yes, Okay.
- 24:38Speaker 1: So she immediately like huddled low in this little raft,
- 24:42Speaker 1: like afraid that the captain might be coming back for
- 24:44Speaker 1: her or something. Yeah, and she's just left there in
- 24:48Speaker 1: the dark. She has no water, no food in the
- 24:51Speaker 1: middle of the ocean.
- 24:51Speaker 2: And the fact that it's nighttime, i'de like makes it
- 24:53Speaker 2: just like even more nightmarish.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it's actually a little bit worse than you
- 24:59Speaker 1: even think because the raft she was on it wasn't
- 25:01Speaker 1: meant for like prolonged use, So it was like it
- 25:06Speaker 1: was like this, like the best way to describe it
- 25:09Speaker 1: is it's like this ring of flotation, right, and then
- 25:12Speaker 1: in the middle it's just like a net. So she's
- 25:14Speaker 1: literally sitting in.
- 25:16Speaker 2: The water seriously.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Ah, And it wasn't meant for prolonged use. It
- 25:25Speaker 1: was just meant to get to safety real quick, yeah,
- 25:28Speaker 1: which means it was also deteriorating very fast. So over
- 25:31Speaker 1: the next eighty four hours that she spent alone in
- 25:35Speaker 1: the ocean, this raft was slowly falling apart.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Okay, that is just too much.
- 25:42Speaker 1: It was at four days.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I was gonna say, yeap three and a half
- 25:45Speaker 2: days or whatever.
- 25:47Speaker 1: So through the night, through the beating hot sun, which
- 25:50Speaker 1: was approximately around that time eighty five degrees fahrenheit, which
- 25:54Speaker 1: is about thirty degrees celsius, she just sat there drifting.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Holy crap. Well, she's fearing that this raft is just
- 26:04Speaker 2: gonna like be done.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Yep. So throughout her waiting and drifting, the sun's beaten
- 26:12Speaker 1: on her. She's getting sun burnt, I mean salt water,
- 26:16Speaker 1: she's just getting rubbed. Raw. Parrotfish would actually frequently come
- 26:20Speaker 1: up and biteed her as well, giving her scratches and
- 26:24Speaker 1: bite marks and everything, making it all the worse.
- 26:28Speaker 2: I don't even know what that is.
- 26:30Speaker 1: It's like a tropical fish. It's like, I don't know,
- 26:32Speaker 1: they're bout the size of a cat or small dog. Yeah.
- 26:37Speaker 2: See that sounds horrible.
- 26:38Speaker 1: And I looked them up and they've almost got like
- 26:40Speaker 1: this like beak like teeth, so I'm pretty sure like
- 26:42Speaker 1: it would hurt, it would pinch pretty good.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Oh gosh.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Yeah. On day two, a small red plane actually circled
- 26:50Speaker 1: overhead and she watched it and wave for it, and
- 26:53Speaker 1: the plane eventually actually passed directly over her, but the
- 26:56Speaker 1: pilots never saw her.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Really.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Apparently, it was actually close enough that she could read
- 27:03Speaker 1: the labels on the side of the plane, but the
- 27:06Speaker 1: angle that it was at, pilots couldn't see her. Dang,
- 27:10Speaker 1: she was like right underneath it and they just couldn't
- 27:12Speaker 1: see her.
- 27:13Speaker 2: So you watch movies and stuffhere people almost get saved,
- 27:15Speaker 2: and it's just like they're probably just so hopeful and
- 27:18Speaker 2: then it just passes by.
- 27:20Speaker 1: And like I said at the very beginning, she's this
- 27:22Speaker 1: white speck in the ocean, right just mixed in with
- 27:25Speaker 1: thousands of other white.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Specks, just like very hard to really tell her.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Yeah, the only reason that she was spotted originally was
- 27:30Speaker 1: because that speck didn't flash.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Like the rest, which is amazing actually of those people,
- 27:36Speaker 2: oh yeah, because lots of people would pride, is like whatever.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Yeah, So through the glare the sun causing her eyes
- 27:43Speaker 1: severe pain, like the glare off the water. She got
- 27:47Speaker 1: severe pain in her eyes, her muscles ached, her skin
- 27:50Speaker 1: burnt through her blouse and her pants, she was burning,
- 27:53Speaker 1: Her lips were rough, swollen, her tongue was swollen. Through
- 27:57Speaker 1: all this though, she said, she was never thirsty or hungry, really,
- 28:01Speaker 1: I don't know how, just adrenaline or something, just powering through.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Yep.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And since the bottom of this thing was just this
- 28:09Speaker 1: mesh that was falling apart, for the most time, she
- 28:12Speaker 1: actually balanced on the edge of the raft as much
- 28:16Speaker 1: as she could. She even began to actually hallucinate multiple times.
- 28:21Speaker 1: And at one point she saw a deserted island and
- 28:24Speaker 1: she tried to paddle towards it, but it just disappeared.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Oh no, oh no.
- 28:30Speaker 1: There was however, I think it was on day three
- 28:32Speaker 1: she saw large dark shadows in the water beneath her.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Okay, I'm kind of done with this story. This is
- 28:40Speaker 2: just too much. I'm already afraid of the ocean. But okay.
- 28:43Speaker 1: And it turned out to be orca whales.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Oh okay. I thought it was gonna be like.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Which Orcas are very dangerous. First of all, right.
- 28:50Speaker 2: They are too, aren't they?
- 28:52Speaker 1: But I guess, she said, she felt very calmed by them,
- 28:55Speaker 1: and they just kind of hung around her for hours.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I just kind of kept her company almost so she
- 29:01Speaker 1: almost felt like that was like, I don't know, a
- 29:04Speaker 1: good thing good.
- 29:05Speaker 2: They almost could have been like protecting her from something.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Yeah, they could have been who knows.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Huh.
- 29:12Speaker 1: So eventually though, she did fall unconscious and the next
- 29:17Speaker 1: time she would wake up, she'd be confronted by a huge,
- 29:20Speaker 1: shadowy wall, and as she looked up to the top
- 29:22Speaker 1: she would see people. She could faintly hear voices and shouting,
- 29:26Speaker 1: and she was finally saved after eighty four hours in
- 29:31Speaker 1: the ocean.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Oh good for her. I don't know if I would
- 29:34Speaker 2: have been able to last that long. That's impressive.
- 29:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Know I would be done.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that is amazing.
- 29:43Speaker 1: So, like I said, she did make a full recovery,
- 29:45Speaker 1: and she has wrote written a book which I'll put
- 29:47Speaker 1: a link down in the description down below. It did
- 29:51Speaker 1: take her a while to be able to come out
- 29:52Speaker 1: with us because, like back then, a lot of it
- 29:54Speaker 1: was like, hey, just suppress whatever you're feeling, don't talk
- 29:57Speaker 1: about shit. So she did eventually start talking about things,
- 30:00Speaker 1: and she has come up with this book, like I said,
- 30:02Speaker 1: linked down below. I haven't read it yet. I want
- 30:04Speaker 1: to read it. I wish I left myself enough time
- 30:06Speaker 1: to read it before doing this episode. But so that's
- 30:10Speaker 1: her point of view. Now, what the investigators discovered is
- 30:15Speaker 1: a little not different. But it's a lot more on
- 30:18Speaker 1: why this happened and what had happened while she was
- 30:23Speaker 1: not watching, sort of thing.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Between the adults or whatever.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Yes, So investigators were already suspicious of Julian before he
- 30:32Speaker 1: ended his life. Like I said, he was in that
- 30:35Speaker 1: conference room when he learned of Terry Joe being alive. Right, Okay,
- 30:41Speaker 1: They were interrogating him. They were asking him questions. The
- 30:44Speaker 1: way the ship sunk didn't make sense because he said
- 30:47Speaker 1: it was this sudden storm that blew over the masts.
- 30:51Speaker 1: A sudden small storm wasn't recorded as far as they knew,
- 30:55Speaker 1: the mass wouldn't have taken out the ship the way
- 30:57Speaker 1: it was. Just a lot of things weren't making sense,
- 31:00Speaker 1: especially from someone in an experienced position like Qubos.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, not only that.
- 31:05Speaker 1: In his life raft he had flares, but he never
- 31:08Speaker 1: used them. And he was asked why I never used
- 31:11Speaker 1: the flares, and he's like, oh, I was in the
- 31:12Speaker 1: bottom of the safety kit. I just never thought of it.
- 31:14Speaker 1: An experienced World War two veteran experience to see, like really.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Well, and you got some time on your hands, I
- 31:21Speaker 2: think you'd be looking through that boat.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Yeah, And when they searched the wreckage area. They never
- 31:26Speaker 1: found the boat or anything like that. As far as
- 31:28Speaker 1: I can tell, I don't think the Bluebells ever being
- 31:30Speaker 1: found to this day. I literally like googled hours on
- 31:34Speaker 1: that I could not find an ounce of it being found.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Interesting. So see, that's another thing that freaks me out
- 31:41Speaker 2: is there's all these like shipwrecks and stuff, and they
- 31:43Speaker 2: try to find it in some Yeah.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I'm sure that they've probably by now got like radar.
- 31:49Speaker 1: We're pretty sure that's it down there, you know, Yeah,
- 31:52Speaker 1: you'd think so. Anyways, they were extremely suspicious of them,
- 31:57Speaker 1: especially when they were like getting into a little bit
- 32:01Speaker 1: more of his history and some of his history that
- 32:03Speaker 1: we're going to talk about right now. He's been a
- 32:06Speaker 1: part of a few other questionable boating accidents really, yes,
- 32:12Speaker 1: where he'd actually made away with quite quite a bit
- 32:16Speaker 1: of insurance money.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Oh this asshole.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Oh it's getting worse here, hold on, as
- 32:23Speaker 1: well as a car accident where a past wife and
- 32:26Speaker 1: mother in law had actually died and he made way
- 32:28Speaker 1: with quite the lump sum of insurance money. Again. In fact,
- 32:32Speaker 1: Denay his wife was Julian's sixth wife.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Seriously, Hey, that's quite a. That's a quite high up
- 32:41Speaker 2: their number.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and I believe they were only married for about
- 32:45Speaker 1: four or five months. I couldn't find an exact number.
- 32:47Speaker 1: It was varying a bit, but they were only together
- 32:49Speaker 1: like a short amount of time. And shortly before taking
- 32:52Speaker 1: this voyage, Julian took a life insurance policy with denay
- 32:56Speaker 1: worth twenty thousand dollars, which is approximately two hundred thousand
- 32:59Speaker 1: dollars by today's value. Of course he did, yeah, right,
- 33:04Speaker 1: So what investigators believed happen is they believed Julian planned
- 33:09Speaker 1: to kill his wife out on the open ocean in
- 33:12Speaker 1: the evening of the cruise and then in the morning
- 33:16Speaker 1: claim that there was an incident where she fell overboard
- 33:19Speaker 1: and he wasn't able to save her, and you know,
- 33:23Speaker 1: so on so forth. The family's none the wiser, He
- 33:25Speaker 1: collects insurance money, they move on, everyone's happy. However, didn't
- 33:31Speaker 1: go that way. What did happen, they believe, is that
- 33:35Speaker 1: the Duperyl family overheard him trying to commit the act
- 33:40Speaker 1: and now.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Caught and tried to savor her.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and now caught red handed, decided every witness must go,
- 33:48Speaker 1: and he's going to sink the evidence good lord. Yep,
- 33:54Speaker 1: what why he let Terry Joe live is still a
- 33:58Speaker 1: bit of a question.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Yea interesting actually, But I mean I think he might
- 34:03Speaker 2: have just thought she would have died.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Well, that's what Terry says. She believes that he just
- 34:08Speaker 1: thought she was going to go down with the ship
- 34:10Speaker 1: and die, right and clearly by his reaction, because like
- 34:13Speaker 1: in that interrogation when he learnt of it, it was
- 34:15Speaker 1: not like a he was happy. It was an obvious
- 34:18Speaker 1: like taken aback. So clearly he did think she was dead.
- 34:22Speaker 1: But why wouldn't he have just killed her? Because he
- 34:25Speaker 1: stood in her doorway with something in her in his hand.
- 34:29Speaker 1: M he had an intent at that moment. I guarantee
- 34:31Speaker 1: that's what he was standing there for.
- 34:33Speaker 2: I feel like this little girl just had something watching
- 34:36Speaker 2: over her, something something as.
- 34:39Speaker 1: She went through Helen high Water.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Well.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Yeah, the fact that she lived all of this is
- 34:44Speaker 2: just like a miracle. Yeah, it's incredible, really is huh?
- 34:50Speaker 1: So that's the story of the Bluebell and Terry Joe Duperole.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Wow, he would an asshole that guy too, because like
- 34:58Speaker 2: one oh one, like, don't pull out an insurance money
- 35:02Speaker 2: or policy before you're about to murder someone right, like,
- 35:07Speaker 2: are you dumb?
- 35:07Speaker 1: Do it at least a year in advance?
- 35:09Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, like you got to plan this shitt a
- 35:12Speaker 2: bit better time, Like what a dumb ass?
- 35:15Speaker 1: Right?
- 35:15Speaker 2: I feel like anyone would know that shit. But anyway, okay,
- 35:20Speaker 2: so is this is she still alive?
- 35:22Speaker 1: She is? Yeah?
- 35:23Speaker 3: Wow?
- 35:23Speaker 2: How old would she be? Now? You probably don't know.
- 35:26Speaker 1: I didn't look up her current age. Well, in nineteen
- 35:28Speaker 1: sixty one, she was eleven the so what is that
- 35:30Speaker 1: by now?
- 35:31Speaker 2: We already know we're bad at math? Here seventy something?
- 35:37Speaker 1: I think she's yeah, seventy four. Yeah, or's no, seventy two.
- 35:41Speaker 1: I don't know, somewhere in your seventies early seventies. I
- 35:43Speaker 1: don't want a math while I'm talking and drinking water.
- 35:46Speaker 1: That's too much to do.
- 35:47Speaker 2: It's too hard.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Huh.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Wow. I really want to know more about her. I
- 35:53Speaker 2: feel like I need to read this book or something.
- 35:55Speaker 1: I want to read the BOOKI.
- 35:56Speaker 2: There should be like a movie or something out about
- 35:58Speaker 2: her about I think.
- 35:59Speaker 1: There's a few movies based on the story, but I
- 36:03Speaker 1: don't think that it's like exactly on the story. It's
- 36:05Speaker 1: like loosely based on where they like take the idea
- 36:09Speaker 1: of a murder at seeing a sinking boat and being lost,
- 36:11Speaker 1: and that's about as connected as it gets. I think.
- 36:14Speaker 2: I honestly that would make like an incredible movie though.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely like super awesome.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd freakin go and see that.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Well, someone get on it, Go make a movie.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Do it.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Nicole wants to see it.
- 36:25Speaker 2: I do.
- 36:26Speaker 1: By the time COVID's over, you might be able to
- 36:28Speaker 1: go to theaters.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess you can't even go to movie theaters.
- 36:30Speaker 2: I actually don't even know. I wasn't really a huge well,
- 36:33Speaker 2: our movie theaters kind of gross.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Our movie theaters sucks. Yeah, if the owner of our
- 36:38Speaker 1: movie theater is listening right now, get your fucking shit together.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Well, because I thought there would have been Reynolds or
- 36:43Speaker 2: something during COVID, but I don't know.
- 36:45Speaker 1: If there is no I I.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Need they need he sheet, they need competition.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Yeah, we only have one movie theater in this small town,
- 36:52Speaker 1: and it's they're just like, Okay, we're the only ones,
- 36:55Speaker 1: so we're not gonna do anything for upkeep for thirty years.
- 36:59Speaker 2: It's yeah, it's nasty. Yeah, there's probably like I don't know,
- 37:04Speaker 2: the next pandemic is going to be starting in that
- 37:06Speaker 2: movie theater.
- 37:06Speaker 1: At that girls, I'm pretty sure that anyone who's attended
- 37:09Speaker 1: that movie theater is actually like immune to COVID. And
- 37:13Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure the first time I went there, I
- 37:15Speaker 1: put a piece of gum on the underside of one chair.
- 37:17Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure it's still there.
- 37:18Speaker 2: It's probably still there. Oh my word. Okay, Well, on
