  Speaker 1: was living with my mom and visiting him. They're back together,

  Speaker 1: and got back together when I was twenty seven.

  Speaker 1: But uh yeah, when he was uh he had me

  Speaker 1: Little, little, like four or five years old, and my

  Speaker 1: mom and people around me. The only basketball players I

  Speaker 1: really heard them talk about were Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen,

  Speaker 1: And yeah, I went to the game, and he said

  Speaker 1: he prayed before that I would become a Knicks fan
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: and that the Knicks would win, and the Knicks won,
• 6:53
  Speaker 1: and that was the beginning of the story. And for

  Speaker 1: quite some time it was a story of pain, and
• 7:00
  Speaker 1: recently it's become a story of triumph. And I've seen

  Speaker 1: a lot of Knicks things talk about what's gonna happen
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: next year? Are they gonna repeat? Even when it comes

  Speaker 1: to some of the off season stuff. You got pumped

  Speaker 1: the breaks a little bit, take a second and smell

  Speaker 1: the roses, enjoy this fact that we just want a

  Speaker 1: fucking championship. I mean, take it easy, you know, I

  Speaker 1: out in Arizona, and we've named our team the Junior Knicks.

  Speaker 1: We're the defending champions. He's the best player in the league.

  Speaker 1: And about five minutes into the first game, another kid

  Speaker 1: falls on the back of his leg breaks his tibia,

  Speaker 1: and so we spend the day in the emergency room.

  Speaker 2: And you know, I know, if you've.

  Speaker 1: Got kids out there, something like that happening to your kid,

  Speaker 1: it's scary as fuck, scary as against and you know

  Speaker 1: he's in a lot of pain. You know, you don't

  Speaker 1: always necessarily agree with everything the emergency people are are say,

  Speaker 1: emergency room people are saying. So it's a very very

  Speaker 1: stressful day. We get home literally just as the like
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: the anthem is like being finished up. As we walk

  Speaker 1: in the door. My dad meets us at my place.

  Speaker 1: We all sit down. We watched the game, like many
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: of these games the Knicks, like all of the games

  Speaker 1: the Knicks bullshited in the first quarter. We figure out

  Speaker 1: a way we battle back, we win the game. Everybody's
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: seen the game. I don't need to give a recap.

  Speaker 1: You know, if you're a Knicks fan like me, you've

  Speaker 1: watched like fifteen you know, replay videos a day, you know,

  Speaker 1: different soundtrack, different this. I get missed the ID a

  Speaker 1: couple times a day. I didn't cry that night. You know,

  Speaker 1: I really thought I would.

  Speaker 2: I would, I thought, me.

  Speaker 1: And my me and my dad said before, if the

  Speaker 1: Knicks ever won a championship, for both party cry like babies,

  Speaker 1: and we embraced and it was an emotional But I

  Speaker 1: didn't cry that night. It took a couple of days

  Speaker 1: for it to really sink in for me personally, a

  Speaker 1: couple of days at least.

  Speaker 2: And so, I mean, just what a game, What a night?

  Speaker 1: You know, he is so lucky at his age because

  Speaker 1: he's all the way in. I mean, he is a

  Speaker 1: Knicks fan through and through. There's times where he brings

  Speaker 1: up stats and says shit to me that I wasn't

  Speaker 1: even aware of. So like, he's all the way in

  Speaker 1: and so experiencing that with him the ultimate uh, you know,

  Speaker 1: just distraction for him that night. He he's resilient, man,

  Speaker 1: he's a kid. This is part of his story.

  Speaker 1: But what a night, man, What a night. And then

  Speaker 1: that night, as soon as you get the tweet that

  Speaker 1: some travel arrangements. I would say, uh, don't make travel

  Speaker 1: arrangements when you've been celebrating. You know, I actually keep

  Speaker 1: it clean and so during the games because I'm already

  Speaker 1: so emotional, you know, I do. But after the next one,

  Speaker 1: I may travel arrangement that same night. And you know,

  Speaker 1: I said something before about the layover in Atlanta. There's

  Speaker 1: some things I would have done differently if I would

  Speaker 1: have been a little bit more of right mind when

  Speaker 1: it got time to book those flights. But I got

  Speaker 1: out there. I got out there the day before the parade,

  Speaker 1: the parades on Thursday. I get out there on Wednesday,

  Speaker 1: stop in Jersey see the Fellas. You know, I have

  Speaker 1: a couple of drinks my boys. I fly in the

  Speaker 1: Philly to be able to do that. Then I get
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: into Manhattan later on that night, and you know, just

  Speaker 1: by train, so I coming straight into Penn Station. I

  Speaker 1: come out of Penn Station Madison Square Garden in the lights.

  Speaker 1: The street is popping, like right there, right there on

  Speaker 1: Seventh Avenue between you know, thirty third and thirty fourth,

  Speaker 1: the tree is popping, mad people out. I'm like, yo,

  Speaker 1: It's just like the FIBs of the city are always

  Speaker 1: makes it. Whenever I go back, I always have to

  Speaker 1: spend some time I'm just walking around Manhattan, just walking

  Speaker 1: the Birls, being Brooklyn up up in the Bronx, whatever,
