Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Happy Friday. Light FM is on. Cubby and Christine, producer Kristen,
- 0:03Speaker 1: producing our show in the background. And we did it.
- 0:06Speaker 1: It is the end of the week. And it is
- 0:08Speaker 1: the final day of the season that we're going to
- 0:11Speaker 1: have temperatures in the 80s. This is it. This is
- 0:15Speaker 1: the final time we'll have temperatures in the 80s. High
- 0:17Speaker 1: today of 83 degrees.
- 0:19Speaker 2: When did you make the declaration that we were done
- 0:21Speaker 2: with 80 degree temperatures?
- 0:22Speaker 1: Christine, I said that two weeks ago. And I was
- 0:25Speaker 1: right for two weeks.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:28Speaker 1: And apparently I was wrong. And you were right. You
- 0:30Speaker 1: always you said we always get these days every now.
- 0:33Speaker 2: And then in October. Yep. October is crazy because, you know,
- 0:37Speaker 2: I remember so specifically I Eric and I started dating
- 0:41Speaker 2: on September 20th. And so we were going out a
- 0:44Speaker 2: lot in October. And I just remember I wanted to
- 0:47Speaker 2: do fall things with him. And we couldn't because it
- 0:50Speaker 2: was so hot. It was just so, so hot. We
- 0:53Speaker 2: weren't even walking around town like we were going into
- 0:55Speaker 2: museums and doing that sort of thing. So that's why
- 0:57Speaker 2: I know. I'm like, no, October's nuts.
- 1:00Speaker 1: So funny.
- 1:00Speaker 2: It doesn't know what it wants to be.
- 1:02Speaker 1: You were right. You were right. So it was like
- 1:04Speaker 1: two weeks before the Nor'easter, and we had a cold
- 1:06Speaker 1: front come in, and I saw a 10-day forecast. It
- 1:10Speaker 1: had temps in the 70s, even some 60s. I was like,
- 1:12Speaker 1: there's no way we're going to get back into the 80s.
- 1:15Speaker 1: But today, 83. But now I'm very confident this is it.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Okay, but now this is it.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Okay. Anyway, here we are. It is the weekend.
- 1:24Speaker 2: People want to do the leaf peeping, I think– Metro
- 1:27Speaker 2: North started up the trains again. You know, like everything
- 1:31Speaker 2: fall and Halloween is now going into full effect.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Well, we have cool air coming in this weekend. You'll
- 1:37Speaker 1: feel the Halloween vibes and you're doing something.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Not in time for me today, Cubby.
- 1:42Speaker 1: What are you doing today?
- 1:43Speaker 2: You know, my lovely friend, Ann Sayre.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:47Speaker 2: She and I love to, we love to get into
- 1:49Speaker 2: the spirit of Halloween, especially.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Your friend, Ann, for those that don't know, is a
- 1:54Speaker 1: famous soap opera star. Yes, yes. She doesn't do any
- 1:56Speaker 1: soap operas anymore because there's not many left. But she
- 1:59Speaker 1: was on.
- 2:00Speaker 2: She's so good.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I forgot the show.
- 2:01Speaker 2: As the World Turns.
- 2:02Speaker 1: As the World Turns.
- 2:03Speaker 2: She's a great actress.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:04Speaker 2: She's just a really wonderful actress and talented person. And
- 2:08Speaker 2: we are going to the Haunting on Center Street, which
- 2:12Speaker 2: is Cowan's Public in Nutley. So I don't know if
- 2:16Speaker 2: you recall, Cubby, they do a beautiful Christmas... Market? No,
- 2:21Speaker 2: not a market. Like the whole restaurant. It's done in
- 2:24Speaker 2: like nostalgic, retro, 1950s, 1960s Christmas. So it's usually like
- 2:29Speaker 2: a miracle on Center Street because Cowan's is located on
- 2:32Speaker 2: Center Street. This is the first year they're doing The
- 2:35Speaker 2: Haunting on Center Street.
- 2:37Speaker 1: So if Christmas is so good, this has got to
- 2:39Speaker 1: be good.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I can't wait to see what they do for Halloween.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Be prepared for videos and photos later today.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Follow the Christine Nagel at Instagram.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Thank you, Paul Covey Bryant.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Are you dressing up, like, in a costume?
- 2:52Speaker 2: No, not in a costume. We were going to kind
- 2:54Speaker 2: of go with the Halloween theme, but now it's a
- 2:55Speaker 2: little too hot. What are we going to wear?
- 2:57Speaker 3: Shorts.
- 2:58Speaker 2: No, it doesn't fit.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Orange shorts.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Orange shorts.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Orange Crocs.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I'll tell Ann. Oh, that's hot.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I'll tell her.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Let's wear orange shorts and orange Crocs because Cubby said so.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:08Speaker 2: What about you? Aren't you doing something?
- 3:10Speaker 1: Speaking of Halloween, I'm actually DJing an event tomorrow. You know,
- 3:15Speaker 1: my wife and I are part of an organization called
- 3:17Speaker 1: Happy Homes. It's an animal rescue. And we used to
- 3:19Speaker 1: foster cats. We don't do it anymore, but we still
- 3:22Speaker 1: support the organization. And they are having a tricky tray tomorrow.
- 3:25Speaker 1: in Spotswood, New Jersey, at a place called Knights of Columbus.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And I will be there with my wife and a
- 3:31Speaker 1: bunch of people from Happy Homes Animal Rescue. It's called
- 3:35Speaker 1: Cause for Paws. And I'm just playing some music. I'm
- 3:38Speaker 1: getting on the mic. We have a tricky tray. We
- 3:41Speaker 1: have prizes. We have a 50-50. We have a cash bar.
- 3:46Speaker 1: We got some snacks, some refreshments. And it's baskets of
- 3:49Speaker 1: raffles and all that.
- 3:50Speaker 2: I would love to go. I wish I were free
- 3:52Speaker 2: to go to this.
- 3:53Speaker 1: They're really great prizes, by the way. You know, the
- 3:54Speaker 1: big TVs and all that.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Whoa.
- 3:56Speaker 1: So, yeah, yeah, everything. Technology, pottery, whatever. Clothes.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I'm never free on, like, when the good stuff is happening.
- 4:04Speaker 1: You've got to come on down. Yeah. So, yeah, tomorrow,
- 4:07Speaker 1: Knights of Columbus, if you're in the area, Spotswood, New Jersey.
- 4:10Speaker 1: The address is 30 Crescent Avenue. And again, it all
- 4:14Speaker 1: supports Happy Homes Animal Rescue.
- 4:16Speaker 2: And what time is it?
- 4:17Speaker 1: It's from 1 o'clock until about 5. We start calling
- 4:20Speaker 1: out numbers at 145. Okay. And that's when people start
- 4:25Speaker 1: yelling at me and go, shake them up! Oh, yes.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Right?
- 4:28Speaker 1: You ever hear that?
- 4:29Speaker 2: You better shake it up, baby.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Yes. If you call out two or three numbers in
- 4:33Speaker 1: a row that kind of close to each other, then
- 4:36Speaker 1: some lady will yell, shake them up!
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yeah, because there's like one person who wins 100 baskets,
- 4:42Speaker 2: and then there's me.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Like, just crickets.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Yeah, like, I'd like to win something, too.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Or you win, like, curlers. Yeah. And then one person
- 4:49Speaker 1: will win a TV. Yep. A neutral bullet.
- 4:52Speaker 2: You got it.
- 4:53Speaker 1: On all the cool things.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Every time.
- 4:55Speaker 1: All right, so hope to see you there. We're coming
- 4:56Speaker 1: right back. Happy Friday.
- 4:58Speaker 4: More Cubby and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Next on Light FM.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I need to tell you two things.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Cubby and Christine's.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Two pretty cool things.
- 5:11Speaker 1: This is super cool. Kurt Cobain's former studio apartment in Olympia, Washington.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Do you see this?
- 5:17Speaker 2: I want to go.
- 5:18Speaker 1: He wrote a vast majority of his music here. It's
- 5:20Speaker 1: now available to rent online with Airbnb for about $ 250
- 5:25Speaker 1: a night. It's located at 114 Parr Street, Olympia, Washington.
- 5:30Speaker 1: And during his time living there, he wrote a lot
- 5:33Speaker 1: of music with Dave Grohl. His girlfriend, Tracy Miranda, was there.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You remember her? Yeah. That was before Courtney.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Before Courtney, yes.
- 5:41Speaker 1: And the apartment is famous because, well, number one, Kurt
- 5:44Speaker 1: Cobain lived there. But Bikini Kill singer Kathleen Hanna scrolled,
- 5:50Speaker 1: not scrolled, wrote, Kurt smells like teen spirit on the wall,
- 5:54Speaker 1: inspiring the title for Nirvana's hit single. So that's pretty cool. Oh, wow.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Bikini Kill singer. I guess that was a band.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Yes.
- 6:03Speaker 1: That is not around anymore. This is Bikini Kill singer
- 6:06Speaker 1: Kathleen Hanna. wrote Kurt's music. Anyway.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Well, like a contemporary, or he was influenced by. This
- 6:14Speaker 2: is one of the bands.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I see.
- 6:15Speaker 2: He was influenced by.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Anyway, Airbnb. And there you go. It's 114 Pear Street
- 6:21Speaker 1: in Olympia, Washington.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Could you tell Eric, I want to go?
- 6:23Speaker 1: Well, now it's going to book up pretty quick.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I know.
- 6:27Speaker 1: But the history there, wow.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Cubby won't gatekeep. These are all my Instagram sayings.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Do you have a cool thing?
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yes, I won't gatekeep for our Disney fans, right? Follow
- 6:39Speaker 2: me to the Disney Lakeshore Lodge pop-up. It's currently running
- 6:43Speaker 2: at the Flatiron Public Plaza here in Manhattan. You can
- 6:46Speaker 2: preview Walt Disney World's newest resort. This started yesterday. It'll
- 6:51Speaker 2: run today, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It's West 23rd
- 6:54Speaker 2: and 5th Ave. It's free, open to the public. You'll
- 6:56Speaker 2: experience sidewalk murals, photo ops, where you can step directly
- 7:00Speaker 2: into the artwork. And learn about Disney's Lakeshore Lodge, Disney
- 7:04Speaker 2: World's newest resort, which is opening July 1st, 2027.
- 7:07Speaker 1: And of course, Disney World, 55 years celebrating as of yesterday.
- 7:11Speaker 1: October 1st was their birthday. We're coming right back with Pink.
- 7:14Speaker 1: We're getting that party started.
- 7:16Speaker 4: More Cubby and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Next on Light FM.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I just might think it's August. Sunshine today. High of
- 7:23Speaker 1: 84 today. Amazing. 106.7 Light FM. Cubby and Christine in
- 7:28Speaker 1: the morning. You know, it's always coffee weather, though, isn't it? Oh, yeah.
- 7:32Speaker 1: We love our coffee. Yes. I like it hot.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Even in hot weather, I'll still have hot coffee. But
- 7:36Speaker 2: a lot of us prefer iced.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yeah? Mm-hmm. And you brought up an article here that
- 7:41Speaker 1: you were reading. Some people are hiding their coffee order.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Yes.
- 7:46Speaker 1: That's the headline.
- 7:47Speaker 2: They're going up to the barista like, I'll have a
- 7:49Speaker 2: double espresso. Can you make that a skinny?
- 7:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Because I guess... According to this survey, one in three
- 7:57Speaker 2: of us judge people by their coffee order.
- 8:00Speaker 1: And those people know they might be judged.
- 8:03Speaker 2: You're like, don't look at me. Don't judge me. Yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 2: because they know they're going maybe a little high maintenance
- 8:08Speaker 2: with their coffee. Some people are getting maple syrup and peanuts.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Some are getting coffee with marshmallows and salt. I mean,
- 8:16Speaker 2: like there's stuff going on. Espresso loaded with caramel, drizzle, cinnamon, butter,
- 8:21Speaker 2: whipped cream, you name it.
- 8:23Speaker 1: It's like.
- 8:23Speaker 2: People are doing all different things with their coffees.
- 8:26Speaker 1: But can't you kind of hide your order anyway if
- 8:28Speaker 1: you do it on the app?
- 8:29Speaker 2: Well, if you do it on the app, yeah, yes.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Then you just kind of pick it up. Yes. Look
- 8:33Speaker 1: for your name and leave.
- 8:34Speaker 2: And like, don't look at me.
- 8:36Speaker 1: But if you're doing it the old school way where
- 8:38Speaker 1: you're going up to a barista, some people are just
- 8:42Speaker 1: kind of whispering it or they're embarrassed by it.
- 8:44Speaker 2: They're a little embarrassed because they know it's a little extra.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Only 14% of people take their coffee black like you, Cubby.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm simple. I'm simple. Guys are simple. Ladies, you're a
- 8:53Speaker 1: little complicated.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Well, hang on.
- 8:56Speaker 1: No. I have a comedian to prove it. I've heard
- 9:00Speaker 1: many comedians do this, but this is one comedian. Check
- 9:03Speaker 1: this out.
- 9:04Speaker 5: Men are easy at Starbucks. You ever go to the drive-thru,
- 9:06Speaker 5: can I help you? Yeah, give me a minty coffee,
- 9:08Speaker 5: no cream.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Honey, what do you want? Okay, here's what I want.
- 9:11Speaker 5: I want a tall, skinny, sugar-free, decaf, soy vanilla latte,
- 9:16Speaker 5: extra hot, whipped cream, double-sleeved, no cup.
- 9:20Speaker 1: No cup. Okay. Complicated.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Maybe he's got a bit of a point. So it
- 9:26Speaker 2: says 33% of us. So 35% like coffee with a
- 9:30Speaker 2: little something extra like cream or sugar. And you know
- 9:33Speaker 2: how I am, Cubby. I like half and half. A
- 9:36Speaker 2: little extra half and half. Not a ton of extra
- 9:40Speaker 2: half and half.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I will say you're not that complicated.
- 9:42Speaker 2: But it's hard to get that just right.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Right.
- 9:45Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Like if I'm not adding
- 9:47Speaker 2: it myself.
- 9:48Speaker 1: All right.
- 9:49Speaker 2: And you tell the barista just a little extra.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Okay, say I'm a coffee cart guy. Not your normal
- 9:55Speaker 1: coffee cart guy because he knows your order. I've never
- 9:58Speaker 1: seen you before in my life. Yes. Hi there, young lady.
- 10:00Speaker 1: What would you like?
- 10:01Speaker 2: So a large coffee with a little extra half and half.
- 10:06Speaker 1: All right, so the problem with that order is it's
- 10:08Speaker 1: subjective on what is a little bit.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Yes.
- 10:11Speaker 1: To them.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Yes.
- 10:12Speaker 1: In your head, you have a different... Little bit. Right.
- 10:15Speaker 2: And also they're busy and the pressure's on and I
- 10:19Speaker 2: think they hear extra. I think they hear that more than,
- 10:23Speaker 2: and I'm like, just a little, you know, and I'm
- 10:25Speaker 2: trying to like watch what they're doing, but it's happening
- 10:27Speaker 2: so fast. So sometimes I end up with like half
- 10:30Speaker 2: a cup of cream. And the rest coffee is like, no,
- 10:33Speaker 2: that's not going to go.
- 10:33Speaker 1: But you don't have to hide your coffee order. But
- 10:35Speaker 1: some people do whisper it because they're embarrassed by the
- 10:38Speaker 1: complexity of it.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Do you feel judged? Do you feel judged when you
- 10:41Speaker 2: order your coffee?
- 10:42Speaker 1: Can you text us on this matter?
- 10:46Speaker 2: 44363.
- 10:46Speaker 1: That's our text. Just type in the message and send
- 10:48Speaker 1: it to 44363. Really trying to. You know, spell it
- 10:52Speaker 1: out here.
- 10:52Speaker 2: We're here for you.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:53Speaker 4: More Cubby and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Next on Light FM.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Cubby and Christine, we are so honored people are on
- 11:00Speaker 1: board with us for our silly conversations.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Yes.
- 11:04Speaker 1: A silly conversation that, you know, it's not a hard,
- 11:08Speaker 1: deep-hitting question.
- 11:09Speaker 2: No, but, you know, it's something we take seriously in life,
- 11:11Speaker 2: and that's our coffee order.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Yeah, and some people are hiding their coffee order. They're basically, like,
- 11:17Speaker 1: whispering it. If they're not doing it on the app,
- 11:18Speaker 1: which you can kind of hide it. But they're going
- 11:21Speaker 1: up to their barista. It's so complex that they're kind
- 11:24Speaker 1: of going, they know they're going to be judged.
- 11:26Speaker 2: They feel they're going to be judged.
- 11:27Speaker 1: So we threw it out there about your coffee order
- 11:30Speaker 1: and people like exploded our text messages. I know.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I love it because we are passionate about our coffee.
- 11:36Speaker 2: And Cubby, I'm noticing a little trend here. There's a
- 11:39Speaker 2: lot of ladies who have texted in and said they
- 11:42Speaker 2: take their coffee the way I do, which is coffee
- 11:44Speaker 2: with just a little extra half and half. And a
- 11:47Speaker 2: lot of people are saying, and it's very hard to
- 11:50Speaker 2: get that just perfect.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Right.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Unless you do it yourself.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Because what is a little extra half and half to
- 11:55Speaker 1: the person that you're ordering it with?
- 11:57Speaker 2: Exactly. 201, Christine should ask for a pinch of extra cream.
- 12:01Speaker 1: What do you think of that idea?
- 12:02Speaker 2: I could try that.
- 12:03Speaker 1: A pinch.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Could see how that goes.
- 12:05Speaker 1: All right.
- 12:05Speaker 2: We have a 201 that says, morning, guys, cubby. I
- 12:08Speaker 2: used to be a simple gal and take black coffee
- 12:10Speaker 2: just like you. And now I've become a little more
- 12:12Speaker 2: complex like you, Christine. So I say a splash of
- 12:15Speaker 2: extra cream. Of extra, a splash or two of extra
- 12:19Speaker 2: half and half.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Okay.
- 12:21Speaker 2: That's the fine line. And that's from Katie. Katie says,
- 12:23Speaker 2: have a great weekend. You too, Katie. Thank you, Katie. 917,
- 12:26Speaker 2: good morning. I don't really pay attention when I order
- 12:28Speaker 2: my skinny latte at Starbucks, if anyone's listening, because I
- 12:31Speaker 2: don't care, which is good. Have a great day.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I mean, that's the attitude you have to have.
- 12:36Speaker 2: You have to.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Who cares if you judge me? I don't know you.
- 12:39Speaker 2: You don't know me.
- 12:40Speaker 1: And I'm getting out of here in five minutes.
- 12:41Speaker 2: And everybody really is in their own... Like thinking about
- 12:45Speaker 2: their own stuff. Looking at their phones. I have to
- 12:47Speaker 2: remind myself of that all the time.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Right.
- 12:49Speaker 2: They don't care.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Don't get self-conscious.
- 12:51Speaker 2: We're okay. But yeah, we got so many cute messages.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I love them. Thank you so much. Last one, 917. Sugar-free, vanilla,
- 12:58Speaker 2: soy latte, very hot, no foam.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Okay.
- 13:01Speaker 3: You know what?
- 13:01Speaker 1: To me, that's not even that complex.
- 13:02Speaker 2: It's not that crazy anymore.
- 13:04Speaker 1: We're used to this. But if you're talking more than
- 13:06Speaker 1: seven seconds... about your coffee order, that's when I think
- 13:10Speaker 1: it's too much.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Only a DJ would know that went longer than seven seconds, right?
- 13:13Speaker 1: You're right, you're right, you're right.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Excuse me, you need to wrap that up.
- 13:15Speaker 1: All right, coming up in five minutes, Christine, we have
- 13:20Speaker 1: the headlines and what are you working on?
- 13:22Speaker 2: Okay, so if you're in dating world and you like
- 13:24Speaker 2: this guy, but he's not really flirting with you, like
- 13:28Speaker 2: nothing physical is happening, this could be a very good sign.
- 13:32Speaker 4: More Cubby and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Next on Light FM.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Christine, good morning.
- 13:37Speaker 2: And good morning, Cubby. Well, Governor Hochul is taking the
- 13:40Speaker 2: investigation into the alleged 2024 rape at a Cornell University
- 13:44Speaker 2: frat house away from local prosecutors. Hochul says newly released
- 13:49Speaker 2: information has raised some serious questions about the investigation up
- 13:52Speaker 2: to this point. And she's appointed Attorney General Letitia James
- 13:56Speaker 2: as a special prosecutor. And just a word of caution
- 13:59Speaker 2: from fire officials, especially in Jersey shore towns where they
- 14:03Speaker 2: had a house fire recently in Wildwood. They believe it
- 14:06Speaker 2: was because after the floods, there were people plugging in
- 14:10Speaker 2: their electric vehicles and it wasn't safe because the batteries
- 14:14Speaker 2: and what you plug into could be wet.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Wow. So you're thinking the water's gone. Yeah. We should
- 14:19Speaker 1: be OK. Right. But there's that. Yes.
- 14:21Speaker 2: So they're saying just something to keep in mind, like
- 14:23Speaker 2: really check it out before you plug anything in to
- 14:25Speaker 2: make sure that it's safe. The ex-fiancé of Gypsy Rose
- 14:29Speaker 2: Blanchard has been found dead. Ken Yerker was the father
- 14:33Speaker 2: of her daughter and appeared with her on the Lifetime documentary.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Blanchard is the Missouri woman who was sentenced to 10
- 14:39Speaker 2: years in prison in 2016 after she persuaded her boyfriend
- 14:42Speaker 2: at the time to kill her abusive mother. Now, she
- 14:45Speaker 2: has released a statement asking for privacy and compassion during this, quote,
- 14:50Speaker 2: incredibly painful time. Box office this weekend looks like Verity.
- 14:56Speaker 2: is going to be off to a big start. This
- 14:58Speaker 2: is the one with Anne Hathaway. It looks really good,
- 15:00Speaker 2: by the way. It's expected to make between $ 30 and
- 15:03Speaker 2: $ 35 million. It's a thriller.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Odyssey will be number one. Spider-Man will be number one.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I'm so used to saying that after all summer.
- 15:12Speaker 2: I know.
- 15:13Speaker 1: There will be a different movie.
- 15:13Speaker 2: We've got some newbies.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Sports.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Okay, big weekend coming up. Yanks play the Rays tomorrow,
- 15:18Speaker 2: game one of their series. Hockey last night, Rangers beat
- 15:21Speaker 2: the Lightning 5-1. Devils defeated the Flyers 3-2 in overtime.
- 15:25Speaker 2: The Liberty will play Atlanta Dream on Sunday, game one
- 15:28Speaker 2: of their series. Of course, we got the Jets and
- 15:31Speaker 2: the Bears on Sunday, Giants and the Cardinals. Last night,
- 15:34Speaker 2: the Cleveland Browns beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-24. Finally, ladies,
- 15:40Speaker 2: if you're dating right now and you're looking for a
- 15:41Speaker 2: serious relationship, and the guy seems to be very formal
- 15:46Speaker 2: and won't close in, for a kiss isn't, you know,
- 15:49Speaker 2: isn't trying to do anything just yet. According to the experts,
- 15:53Speaker 2: this is a very good sign. They say he may
- 15:56Speaker 2: be a polite flirt. These are introverted men who tend
- 16:00Speaker 2: to value proper manners and physically move back during conversations
- 16:05Speaker 2: because they want to politely flirt with you. You feel comfortable.
- 16:10Speaker 2: And research shows that these polite guys tend to have longer,
- 16:13Speaker 2: more meaningful relationships.
- 16:15Speaker 1: But some females might bail out early, right? Thinking... You're.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Not into me.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Right.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Right.
- 16:21Speaker 2: But it's okay.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Give it some time.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe he's very into you.
- 16:24Speaker 1: All right.
- 16:24Speaker 2: And he's just trying to do the right thing.
- 16:26Speaker 4: More Covey and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Next on Light FM.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Well, after having the summer off, we're back at it. Yes.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Time to send a teacher to Florida. It's 106.7 Light FM,
- 16:38Speaker 1: Cubby and Christine in the morning. Producer Kristen, do you
- 16:41Speaker 1: have them all dialed up? Hello, good morning. Hi, is
- 16:46Speaker 1: this Danielle Romano?
- 16:48Speaker 3: Hi, it is.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Hello there. It's Cubby and Christine from Light FM Radio.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 16:53Speaker 1: How are you guys?
- 16:54Speaker 2: Good morning, Ms.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Romano.
- 16:55Speaker 2: We're doing well. How about you?
- 16:56Speaker 3: I'm doing great.
- 16:58Speaker 1: So we have a question for you. Who is Brianna Sherry?
- 17:02Speaker 3: She is one of my coworkers at Meadow Elementary where
- 17:06Speaker 3: I work.
- 17:07Speaker 1: All right.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Well, apparently Brianna thinks the world of you.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if you know this or not,
- 17:11Speaker 1: but here at Light FM, we are encouraging listeners to
- 17:14Speaker 1: go to our website and nominate a teacher doing great things.
- 17:19Speaker 1: And Brianna wrote an incredible email about you, Ms. Romano.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Do you want to hear some of it or are
- 17:24Speaker 1: you going to blush?
- 17:25Speaker 3: No. I might blush, but I would like to. Okay.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Well, it's amazing. It kicks off with Miss Romano is
- 17:32Speaker 1: someone who truly cares about making a difference for her students,
- 17:36Speaker 1: especially students on the autism spectrum. She has dedicated so
- 17:40Speaker 1: much of her time to helping them work through behavioral
- 17:43Speaker 1: challenges and develop social skills so they can better communicate,
- 17:47Speaker 1: express themselves. and connect with others. And that's just the
- 17:50Speaker 1: first paragraph, Christine.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Yes. She also says what stands out about Ms. Romano
- 17:55Speaker 2: is that her work goes beyond what's required of her.
- 17:58Speaker 2: She's always thinking of new ways to support her students
- 18:01Speaker 2: and making the school a better place for them. She's
- 18:03Speaker 2: worked with local businesses to collect donations and organize raffles
- 18:07Speaker 2: to raise money for a playground that better meets the
- 18:09Speaker 2: sensory needs of the students. And she has started a
- 18:13Speaker 2: buddy program to help create a more inclusive school community
- 18:16Speaker 2: that and give students more opportunities to build friendships and
- 18:19Speaker 2: connections with one another.
- 18:20Speaker 1: All right. How are you feeling? Are you holding up? Yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 1: that's very sweet.
- 18:24Speaker 2: It is beautiful.
- 18:26Speaker 1: It wraps up with this. Brianna went on to say
- 18:28Speaker 1: that Ms. Romano puts so much thought, time, and heart
- 18:31Speaker 1: into the students she works with. She sees what they
- 18:34Speaker 1: need and does everything she can to help provide it.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Her dedication to making sure every student feels included, supported,
- 18:41Speaker 1: and understood is what makes her so deserving of this recognition.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Danielle Romano, school psychologist, Meadow School, where you are right now,
- 18:51Speaker 1: which is located exactly where?
- 18:53Speaker 3: In Baldwin on Long Island.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Okay. Well, any words? What do you have to say
- 18:58Speaker 1: about what Brianna wrote?
- 18:59Speaker 3: It's got me tearing up. It's very sweet because obviously,
- 19:02Speaker 3: you know, you don't do this job for the thank yous,
- 19:05Speaker 3: but it is a very thankless job when many of
- 19:07Speaker 3: your students can't speak. So it's just nice to know
- 19:10Speaker 3: that somebody sees what we're doing here.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Oh, you are definitely seen, heard, and appreciated so, so much.
- 19:18Speaker 2: And Light FM has been wanting to celebrate teachers and
- 19:22Speaker 2: faculty members who are making each student's day brighter. And
- 19:26Speaker 2: this month, that is you, Ms. Romano. Oh, my goodness.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Thank you guys so much.
- 19:32Speaker 1: So what we're going to do in June, when the
- 19:34Speaker 1: school year is over, we're going to celebrate with you
- 19:37Speaker 1: and a bunch of other teachers, along with me, Christine,
- 19:40Speaker 1: producer Kristen, We have an unforgettable three-night Florida getaway for you.
- 19:44Speaker 1: You're going to relax at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach, explore the
- 19:48Speaker 1: Everglades with Sawgrass Rick Park, and cruise Fort Lauderdale with
- 19:52Speaker 1: Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Oh, my goodness. Thank you guys so much.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Thank you for all you do, and congratulations. And I
- 19:59Speaker 2: know June feels far off, but it'll be here sooner
- 20:02Speaker 2: than we know. We said that last year. We can
- 20:04Speaker 2: celebrate together.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Boom, it came. I know, I know. Yes. So thank
- 20:07Speaker 1: you so much. Thank you.
- 20:09Speaker 3: It's genuinely an honor. I appreciate it.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Thank you. And we love helping a deserving teacher live
- 20:14Speaker 1: more floor days.
- 20:15Speaker 4: More Cubby and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Next on Light FM.
- 20:20Speaker 1: 106.7 Light FM. Variety from the 80s through today with
- 20:23Speaker 1: Cubby and Christine in the morning. So we played a
- 20:25Speaker 1: song from today. Now let's flashback, Christine.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Oh, it's time.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Flashback Friday. Yeah. We have a prize to give away.
- 20:32Speaker 1: If you can tell me the title and artist. of
- 20:35Speaker 1: this particular song. Okay. Are your ears close to the speaker, Christine?
- 20:39Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Here we go. That's all you're going to get.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Oh, my goodness.
- 20:46Speaker 1: What song is that? Title and artist, what are we
- 20:48Speaker 1: giving away, Christine?
- 20:49Speaker 2: We have a pair of tickets to In the Heights
- 20:51Speaker 2: at New York City Center, this Tony-winning musical coming to
- 20:54Speaker 2: New York City Center this fall, which is now. It
- 20:57Speaker 2: gets you dancing in your seat with its game-changing blend
- 21:00Speaker 2: of Latin rhythms, hip-hop, traditional Broadway sounds. For tickets, visit
- 21:05Speaker 2: nycitycenter.org or give us a call.
- 21:09Speaker 1: 1-800-222-1067. Identify this. Good luck from Light FM.
- 21:15Speaker 4: More Cubby and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 21:18Speaker 4: Next on Light FM.
- 21:20Speaker 1: 106.7 Light FM. Cubby and Christine. Producer Kristen. All right.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Let's see if anybody can identify our flashback track. Okay.
- 21:26Speaker 1: By this small, small clip. Are you ready, Christine?
- 21:28Speaker 4: Yes.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Here we go. If you missed it, we did this
- 21:30Speaker 1: about 10 minutes ago. Hi, Light FM. Do you know
- 21:33Speaker 1: the title and artist of that? Yes, Milli Vanilli.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Girl, you know it's true.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Girl, you know it's right. Well, boy, you know it's right.
- 21:40Speaker 1: That is correct. What is your name? Joseph. Where are
- 21:44Speaker 1: you from, Joseph? Brooklyn, New York. All right, Christine, tell
- 21:47Speaker 1: Joseph the big news.
- 21:48Speaker 2: You are going to see In the Heights at New
- 21:50Speaker 2: York City Center. Congratulations.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Joseph, can you agree with me?
- 21:56Speaker 1: I don't care this was all lip-synced. I don't care
- 21:59Speaker 1: this was a fake group. This was a darn good song.
- 22:01Speaker 1: That was a great song. They had a great album.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Back to 1989 on a flashback Friday. Milli Vanilli, Girl,
- 22:07Speaker 1: You Know It's True on Light FM.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Mort Covey and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Next on Light FM.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I'm at the bar waiting for Christine to show up
- 22:18Speaker 1: because we have a lunch meeting.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Yes.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Christine sends me a text. I'm five minutes away.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 22:25Speaker 1: She ain't five minutes away.
- 22:26Speaker 2: She's 25 minutes away.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Yep. That's what we're talking about. That didn't happen with you.
- 22:32Speaker 2: That's not me.
- 22:32Speaker 1: You're very punctual.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I will not do that. And if I tell you
- 22:35Speaker 2: I'm five minutes away, I'm literally five minutes away.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Sometimes us radio people will be like, I am eight
- 22:39Speaker 1: minutes and 22 seconds away.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Yes. 822 out. I'll be there on top of the hour.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Yes. But seriously, what annoys you? This is our conversation.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Give us a text at 44363. what just really gets
- 22:52Speaker 1: under your skin when someone says, like for me, it's
- 22:55Speaker 1: the five-minute thing. They're probably just leaving the house when
- 22:58Speaker 1: they're five minutes away.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Right? Yes.
- 23:01Speaker 2: And at what point are you waiting for someone and
- 23:02Speaker 2: you're like, okay, it's cool. It's New York.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I get it. People are late.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Like 15 minutes, you're like, yeah, I get it. At
- 23:08Speaker 2: what point do you go, okay, this is just rude.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Downright rude.
- 23:10Speaker 2: So researchers looked at that, Cubby, a survey of 2,000 adults.
- 23:13Speaker 2: 29 minutes, boom, is the cutoff point. That's when we're like, okay,
- 23:18Speaker 2: now I'm mad.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Just under 30, just under a half hour. Then after that,
- 23:22Speaker 1: you're really annoyed.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Then you're annoyed. And get this, people admit to their
- 23:26Speaker 2: biggest white lie in life is telling their friends they're
- 23:30Speaker 2: five minutes away when they're actually like just leaving the house.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Oh, I hate it.
- 23:35Speaker 2: So we get annoyed when we get those five minute
- 23:37Speaker 2: away texts because we know, mm-mm, can't be trusted. We
- 23:40Speaker 2: have over a third of adults saying they know everything.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Who in their life tends to run late? So I'll
- 23:47Speaker 2: tell you, it could be an event, say you're the
- 23:49Speaker 2: person who runs late, starts at 7 when it really
- 23:51Speaker 2: starts at 8. Because we have to do the little
- 23:53Speaker 2: mind games with you.
- 23:54Speaker 1: But only say that to people that you know run late.
- 23:56Speaker 2: That we know run late.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Okay, that's smart.
- 23:58Speaker 2: And it seems like we're running late more often now,
- 24:03Speaker 2: even with the smartphones. And the researchers think it's because
- 24:07Speaker 2: we can go, hey, sorry, running late. Like we can
- 24:10Speaker 2: send a text.
- 24:10Speaker 1: You don't have to do a phone call because they
- 24:12Speaker 1: can't hear it in your voice that you're lying. You
- 24:14Speaker 1: could text. Yeah. Like you said, that's a good point.
- 24:16Speaker 2: We're not as timely. Although most of us now would
- 24:19Speaker 2: prefer to catch up with a friend in person over
- 24:22Speaker 2: a drink than spend the evening texting. And a lot
- 24:26Speaker 2: of us are complaining that when we do get together.
- 24:29Speaker 2: We find it unacceptable if your friend is like, huh, what?
- 24:31Speaker 2: And they're always looking at their phone. Like, we consider
- 24:34Speaker 2: that to be very rude.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Well, Christine, I went on a first date with somebody
- 24:38Speaker 1: back in 2014. Yes. And they were 53 minutes late. Oof.
- 24:45Speaker 2: And you almost gave up on that somebody, huh?
- 24:46Speaker 1: Yep. And I married that somebody. And I'm still married today.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Her name is Coco. Yes. And our first date was
- 24:54Speaker 1: at Nobu downtown. Fancy. I think it was seven o'clock.
- 24:59Speaker 1: We were scheduled to meet and she was, quote, running late.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Did she text you? Hey, I'm running late.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Yes.
- 25:05Speaker 2: I'm five minutes away. Like, was she honest about the time?
- 25:07Speaker 1: Doing the whole boogie. Five, ten minutes. Hang in there.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Hang in there. And, you know, we met on a
- 25:12Speaker 1: dating app. So I'm thinking I'm being like.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Like blown off.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Something's going to happen.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:17Speaker 1: And I eat a whole bowl of edamame by myself.
- 25:20Speaker 2: That's just sad.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I started off like, I'll have one.
- 25:23Speaker 2: I'll have two.
- 25:25Speaker 1: She won't notice if I have three. Meanwhile, you can
- 25:29Speaker 1: see the bottom of the plate.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Should have had them clear that away.
- 25:33Speaker 1: But it came down. She was coming in with a
- 25:35Speaker 1: friend who was driving. And the friend got caught up
- 25:38Speaker 1: in traffic. And then they didn't know where to park.
- 25:40Speaker 1: So it was real. But it was, I think, 52
- 25:43Speaker 1: minutes late.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I would have been getting nervous, too.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I almost bailed.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Yeah, because I get it. Like I said, you have
- 25:49Speaker 2: to allow... A lot of leeway, especially in New York
- 25:52Speaker 2: and northern Jersey. We're just so crowded. And you think
- 25:56Speaker 2: you're heading out early and you could legit run very late.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Now, at your home, are you the timekeeper when it
- 26:02Speaker 1: comes to Eric?
- 26:03Speaker 2: Oh, my goodness.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Yes. If you have to be somewhere at 2 p.m.
- 26:07Speaker 1: on a Saturday, are you giving him a countdown beginning
- 26:10Speaker 1: at 1?
- 26:12Speaker 2: I will tell him we need to start tackling this
- 26:15Speaker 2: a couple of days in advance. Like you say, 2 o'clock.
- 26:18Speaker 2: That could be early for Eric in his world if
- 26:20Speaker 2: he's getting home at 1 a.m. So a couple of
- 26:22Speaker 2: days out, I have to say, Eric, you know, we
- 26:24Speaker 2: have a matinee on Saturday at 2. That means a
- 26:27Speaker 2: hard out at noon. And he's like, OK, we can
- 26:31Speaker 2: do that. If I tell him, well, if we leave
- 26:34Speaker 2: between 12 and 1230, which in my head is like
- 26:36Speaker 2: we're OK if we leave at 1230, he will leave
- 26:39Speaker 2: at 1230. So I have to say hard out at
- 26:42Speaker 2: noon and then hope that he gets it together by 1230.
- 26:46Speaker 1: But he always cuts it close.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Oh, my goodness.
- 26:49Speaker 1: And you're stressing out.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I'm stressed because say it's like I told him 12.
- 26:54Speaker 2: It's like 1155. And he's like, I'm just going to
- 26:56Speaker 2: hop in the shower. It's like, what?
- 26:58Speaker 1: Oh, you're already done now. You're right. Yeah.
- 27:01Speaker 2: And you know how like it's worse when you're waiting
- 27:03Speaker 2: for someone. You got to try and keep your cool.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Oh, you're tapping your. Oh, yeah.
- 27:07Speaker 2: I'm dressed. I'm ready to go.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I'm walking around the kitchen. I'm putting like extra plates
- 27:11Speaker 1: up just to keep myself busy.
- 27:13Speaker 2: And everything's Archie's bed. We're good. We can go now.
- 27:16Speaker 2: We can go. And I'm watching like my app and
- 27:18Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, it's backing up at the Lincoln tunnel.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I hate that too.
- 27:22Speaker 2: And then he's all like, chill.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Like, okay, let's go. I don't know how they do it.
- 27:27Speaker 1: The chill people.
- 27:27Speaker 2: They're way more relaxed than us.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Cubby.
- 27:29Speaker 2: It's a, we need it. It's a balance. Right. But
- 27:31Speaker 2: I think with what we do for a living, we're
- 27:33Speaker 2: so super aware of timing.
- 27:34Speaker 1: If you can relate, please text us at 44363. And
- 27:39Speaker 1: if you're looking at the clock, it's 7.56. You have
- 27:41Speaker 1: four minutes until 8 o'clock. Oh, my goodness. What? Someone
- 27:44Speaker 1: texted already?
- 27:44Speaker 2: No, you just don't want to panic anyway.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Oh, I know.
- 27:47Speaker 3: I know.
- 27:47Speaker 1: They're like, oh, my gosh. I've got to be there
- 27:49Speaker 1: at 8. You have four minutes right now.
- 27:51Speaker 4: More Covey and Christine. And the great music variety you expect.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Next on Light FM.
- 27:56Speaker 1: We all love a good life hack.
- 27:59Speaker 4: But.
- 28:00Speaker 1: How about a life hack that might be considered a
- 28:03Speaker 1: little bit shady?
- 28:04Speaker 2: Just slightly unethical, but makes your life easier.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Oh, hi there. It's Cubby and Christine, 106.7 Light FM.
- 28:11Speaker 1: And if you could please give us an example.
- 28:14Speaker 2: These are rather hilarious, and I'm pulling from Reddit on this.
- 28:19Speaker 2: You go to a party. Okay. You clog the toilet. Uh-oh.
- 28:23Speaker 2: What you need to do now is find the host
- 28:25Speaker 2: and say, um, where's the bathroom? And then walk over
- 28:29Speaker 2: and immediately run out and say, oh my God, the
- 28:31Speaker 2: toilet's clogged.
- 28:34Speaker 1: That is brilliant. Because we've all seen that scene from
- 28:38Speaker 1: Dumb and Dumber.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Do not go in there.
- 28:41Speaker 1: You go to the bathroom and the one time that
- 28:43Speaker 1: you have to do that, the toilet gets clogged up.
- 28:47Speaker 1: And it's embarrassing.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Right.
- 28:48Speaker 1: But you brought up a good point. We were talking
- 28:50Speaker 1: about this briefly off the air. If you know the
- 28:53Speaker 1: house very well.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Oh, you're not going to get away with that.
- 28:55Speaker 1: You're not going to get away with that if you
- 28:56Speaker 1: go to a friend's house a lot. Yes.
- 28:57Speaker 2: No, you're at a party and you don't.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Right.
- 29:01Speaker 2: They're saying don't boycott stuff. Like if you're mad at
- 29:04Speaker 2: a store or a business or something and you're like,
- 29:06Speaker 2: that's it. I'm not shopping from them. If you really
- 29:08Speaker 2: want to hit them hard, you buy stuff and return it.
- 29:11Speaker 2: It costs them more. I'm not saying I condone this, kids.
- 29:14Speaker 2: I'm just saying what some people are doing.
- 29:16Speaker 1: These are all just things that might work, though.
- 29:18Speaker 2: They could. If you forget to reply to a text.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Or it was important, send the message you have five
- 29:24Speaker 2: times and say, are you getting my text messages?
- 29:28Speaker 1: Why didn't I think of that? That's a way out.
- 29:30Speaker 2: How about you've got a service-free trial, you know, like
- 29:34Speaker 2: I'm doing it right now. I think it's Paramount Plus
- 29:36Speaker 2: or something like that. And it's about to run out.
- 29:39Speaker 3: So.
- 29:40Speaker 2: before it runs out, cancel it. Sometimes the company will
- 29:43Speaker 2: offer you a discount to have you stick around.
- 29:46Speaker 1: That happens more than you think. That happened to me
- 29:48Speaker 1: recently with our alarm company. We hardly use the alarm.
- 29:53Speaker 1: We turn it on every now and then, but not enough.
- 29:55Speaker 1: And it was like $ 42 a month. I called them
- 29:57Speaker 1: and said I was going to cancel it. Yeah. Got
- 29:59Speaker 1: us down to 33. Oh, really? Yeah.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Oh, I'm going to try this with some things.
- 30:04Speaker 1: You can do that with a number of things. Yeah.
- 30:06Speaker 2: They're saying like with a gym membership, it's hard to
- 30:08Speaker 2: get out of a gym membership generally.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Right.
- 30:10Speaker 2: And they say you have to come in person. Tell
- 30:12Speaker 2: them you've moved out of state and then they'll send
- 30:14Speaker 2: you the form online.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Okay.
- 30:16Speaker 2: These are just some little hacks.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Speaking of the gym, I have a hack for you.
- 30:19Speaker 1: I learned from somebody. you don't have to go to
- 30:21Speaker 1: the gym. You don't have to be in shape, everybody.
- 30:24Speaker 1: If you meet somebody new or somebody that hadn't seen
- 30:26Speaker 1: you in a while, you just tell them that you
- 30:28Speaker 1: used to weigh 400 pounds.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Okay.
- 30:33Speaker 1: And then they're like, wow.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Whoa, look what you did.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Look how far I've come.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Yes.
- 30:38Speaker 1: And then if you're eating like a cheeseburger, you go,
- 30:40Speaker 1: oh yeah, today's my cheat day.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Every day's my cheat day.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Every day's my cheat day. Those are good life hacks though.
- 30:47Speaker 1: I like that. My favorite one, wasn't there one I
- 30:49Speaker 1: don't know if you have it in front of you
- 30:51Speaker 1: about if you want to tour something. Oh, yes.
- 30:54Speaker 2: This is a good one, too.
- 30:55Speaker 1: That's a great idea.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Yes. You want to go to a museum or like
- 30:58Speaker 2: a fancy venue and you don't have the money for
- 31:00Speaker 2: the entrance fee. Just go with your significant other and
- 31:04Speaker 2: say that you're engaged.
- 31:06Speaker 1: And you want to tour the facility.
- 31:06Speaker 2: And you want to tour and they will walk you through. Yes.
- 31:09Speaker 1: I love it. All right. Hit us up at 44363
- 31:12Speaker 1: if you want to add to this. Or you can
- 31:13Speaker 1: call us right now and win 1-800-222-1067. What do we have, Christine?
- 31:18Speaker 2: We have a pair of tickets to see the Michael
- 31:20Speaker 2: Jackson History Show, Saturday, October 24th, Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair.
