- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Hello,
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: hello.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Welcome to another edition of your Hello Haven Mavens podcast.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: I'm Candice Smiley and this is my co-host Laura Lee Harrison.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: We are very grateful to be sharing with you today.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Thank you for taking time out of what we know is a busy schedule to join us.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: We have an interesting guest with us today.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: So this is a guest that we have met through online sources, which is really exciting because both Laura Lee and I, if you follow along at all, we are heavily involved in social media, which is interesting, Laura Lee.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: I don't know about you, but my journey has kind of been a love-hate one with social media.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: mostly because I felt like it was a little intrusive until I started to understand the power of the platform.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: And so I'm excited that we get to share with our guests today because that's how we got to meet her.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: So Karen, do we have you with us?
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Yes, here I am.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Wonderful.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for taking time out of your day.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Karen is a mom, and so we had to negotiate the start time of this recording a little bit.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: And thankfully, she was like, sister, I feel you.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: It's all good.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: So, Karen, why don't you give our listeners a little bit of a background on you and why we're so excited to be connecting with you and creating a network with someone that we've never actually physically met, and yet we feel like we have a lot in common.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Awesome.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, first of all, I want to thank you ladies for having me on.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: It's really exciting to be able to get my message out in a bigger way to more people at once instead of one-on-one, which is a lot of what I do.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: And I am, I guess you would call me a life coach.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: I don't like that word.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: I use transformational spiritual coach because I'm trying to elevate your whole life.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: We were actually just talking about it before we started recording that I teach whole life alignment.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: I help you figure out how to get every area of your life elevated to where you want to be and to do that you have to take care of yourself first and that's what my message really is to anyone who takes the time to listen to me is if you put yourself first, then you have plenty to give.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: And it's when you don't take care of yourself first that all of the depression, anxiety, stress, screaming at your kids, not having money, all those things are related to the fact that you're not putting yourself as number one when you're supposed to be number one in your home.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Well, see, Karen, I'm a little blown away.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: And for those of you who have listened to the podcast, I'm not usually the speechless one.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: uh on the podcast and I'm a little speechless and the reason for that is Karen Laura Lee and I have you know done a number of recordings back to back so we can share it so for our listeners we are trying to be as effective as we can with our time because time is that resource we just can't get back right so we have gotten together today Karen and we've done some recordings and what you don't know is everything you just said someone else in this mini series has talked about anxiety, depression, whole life alignment, getting on plan.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: And that's why I'm saying I'm speechless because it was like, we didn't prep you for this.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: And our listeners know that we don't plan this.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: We get on and then we trust our guts.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: We trust spirit.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: We trust whatever words you want to apply there.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: And we go.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: And so how cool is that that you and I or you, me, and Laura Lee have never met in person and yet you are perfectly aligned?
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: How cool is that?
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: That is...
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: serendipity and synchronicity that's how the universe works wow okay so i love how you said that the whole life alignment i think that that is a really powerful place for people to be coming to tell us how you got there because you are a mom you've got a few kids talk to us about that journey knowing that There's probably a woman who's multitasking.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Maybe she's doing the dishes, vacuum cleaning.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: She's doing something.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: So share with us sort of that journey because we would like our podcast here to really inspire people to say, hey, that dream you're thinking about, that thing you want to do, right?
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: Those 10 pounds you want to release, whatever that is, do it.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Just do it.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Do it now.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Do it today.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: The process will probably be messy and we don't care, but get there.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so my story is a little bit all over the place.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: I guess it starts with the fact that I have actually been a massage therapist for over a decade at this point.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: And I was one of those very nerdy students.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: I loved the anatomy.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: I absolutely adored the cadaver lab because I could actually see the muscles and see how it worked.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: It wasn't just...
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: I'm a kinesthetic learner, so being able to do is really how I learned and how I'm able to integrate it into myself.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: But I was very resistant to any of the energy modalities, so acupressure and shiatsu and reiki, all those things.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: I was all like, yeah, that's just secondary, whatever.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: I didn't get it.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: I understood that there was something that I was feeling, but I didn't know what it was, and I blocked it totally.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: And then...
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: I had my first son right after massage school, so I was actually pregnant with him during it.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: I didn't have another baby for a few years.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: And what happened was that I wanted to get pregnant and I couldn't.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: And I finally got to a point where I realized that maybe my subconscious is blocking me from getting pregnant.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: And so I started seeing a therapist, a life coach to sort of help me work through my stuff.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: And within six months of working with her, I was pregnant again after 15 months of trying to get pregnant, like with nothing.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: So, and I gave birth to my son, my second son at home at Actually, I did a lot of research, looked at other countries, looked outside of the U.S., and found that home birth is actually extremely safe if you have a low-risk pregnancy and was determined to do it.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: It was, I am a woman.
- 6:50UNKNOWN: I know how bodies work.
- 6:52UNKNOWN: This is literally my biological purpose is to birth.
- 6:55UNKNOWN: And until 100 years ago, everyone birthed at home, so I can do this.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: I kind of gave myself a challenge.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: And when I did that, I felt amazingly powerful after giving birth to him, but I had this team around me, my midwife, my husband, my doula, all these people there.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: And I got pregnant for the third time unexpectedly, actually, when my second son was 18 months old.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: And when I realized I was pregnant again, I was like, okay, I'm having a daughter this time because everything feels so much different.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: And I was having a daughter, and I did have a daughter, I guess.
- 7:32UNKNOWN: And then I got...
- 7:34UNKNOWN: to, you know, we were planning a home birth again, all this stuff.
- 7:37UNKNOWN: I just had this sinking feeling, this feeling in my gut that I was going to be birthing her alone.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: Even though I wasn't planning on it, I had a team, I had everything.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: I just kind of in the back of my head was like, you've got to...
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: be prepared that people aren't going to make it in time.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: And that is exactly what happened.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: My labor was only three hours, and she was born 15 minutes before my midwife got here.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: And so I delivered her completely on my own, and it was that moment that I kept chasing.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: Once I got out of the postpartum fog of all the happy hormones that you have after giving birth, I wanted to know how to feel like that all the time without having more babies, because we were done with three.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: pretty much so that's what I really decided that I was going to put myself first in the fact that I started meditating every day which was only like 15 minutes but I could carve out 15 minutes a day to do that and I started reading when I hadn't really been reading except for you know in 10 years I hadn't probably picked up and read an entire book and in the last year I've probably read 50 or more books because I realized audible was a beautiful thing that I can listen to a book while I'm doing the dishes like you said like moms are always doing and it was through that transformation of putting myself first always that we've reached this point where now I have I own my own company I have clients from all over the world I'm running courses I'm planning retreats to masterminds masterminds we're planning a giant retreat to Uganda next year actually to do some volunteer work and really just stepping into the amazing life that I knew I would dream about while I was sitting there cleaning puke off of me, like, I'm sure there's a better life than this, and realizing that I was already living the life I wanted, but through, like, a lens of gray.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: Instead of rose-colored glasses, I was wearing gray lenses.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: glasses so that's I guess that's my story in like a nutshell with all the crazy birthing part but that's really a big part of it was that I dug into myself there was no one else there was no external force but at the same time there was no not birthing her she was coming yes and that's my analogy for everything whether you're an artist whether you're um you know, a photographer or are you a virtual assistant, people who really like love the numbers and the database stuff that I don't get, but there are people that really get lit up by that sort of stuff.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: Whatever it is that you get lit up by, that's inside of you already and all you have to do is allow it to be your first priority and everything else in your life just works out my husband's my relationship is better our sex is better my kids are nicer to me everything is better just because I was like you know what this is my life and I need to be in charge of me and you guys all are a part of my life but I like I'm not going to react to you I'm going to me and if you don't like me doing me then I don't know what that's going to be a problem.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: And of course it's my family.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: So they were able to readjust, maybe not so many friends.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: And there's definitely times that you get rocked around.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Well, I think it's really cool.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: Another, you know, serendipitous connection is Laura Lee is also a massage therapist and she's very, very good at it.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: And so that's really neat how this has just really come together.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: You know, it's interesting that you brought that up that, you know, when you started focusing on you, everything else worked.
- 11:10UNKNOWN: I,
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: spent some time with a good friend this weekend, and the question came up, like, you know, how do you find that place to be kind?
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: How do you find that place to be at peace?
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: And I said, I fell in love with me.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: I made me a priority, right?
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: Loving me was becoming important.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: And interesting that you brought up your story, sort of that self-love came when you birthed your daughter, because I would say the same things for me.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: you know, becoming pregnant, intentionally becoming pregnant about a year before she showed up.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: I just felt as if it was time to birth her into the world and knew it was going to be her, you know, just had that sense, knew her name, you know, really took time to eat and focus and get grounded.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: I also did a lot of work to release some negative thought patterns.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: And this is just my own personal belief, you know, here's the woo-woo section.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: but release because I was I had some prejudices you know I had some things that I was like you know what if our cells remember and she's going to take my cells and create you know a new body a new person a new a new being then how powerful could it be if I could release some of those things right so that she doesn't have and that was a really powerful experience I had to be at home birthing as well it was a very powerful experience and I can remember at one point things sort of slowed down because Because some fear had kicked in, right?
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: First baby.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: And I remember sitting there thinking, oh, no, you don't.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: It's time.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: We're doing this.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: I'm just going to submit, right?
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: And then there's powerful, you know, and then she came, right?
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: And it's been a really powerful piece now when I look at other things I want to birth into the world.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: When there's that moment of, I don't know, man.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: And you're like, no, we're doing this.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: We are making this happen today.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: I will open.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: I will allow.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: And then amazing things start to happen.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, how cool is that?
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: Good job for being part of the statistic, by the way.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: I really hope that more people look into birthing at home because it just, it's a little off topic, but it really will help women to like connect to their inner goddess that for some reason would have been taken away from us.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: But just, I just started connecting to my ancestors, really.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: I started thinking about anyone born prior to 1899.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: It was all like, yeah, well, she did it without drugs.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: She did it without drugs.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: She did it without drugs.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: We're kind of made for this.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: Like, we're made for this.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: Everything about us is made for this process.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: It's part of being a woman.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: I've often said this to people.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: You know, it's said in the medical, and I'm all for the medical, so that's not where I'm going with this.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: it's said in there, you know, she was delivered of a baby.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: And I was like, it's not something that needs to be removed from me.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: This is part of the process, right?
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: I hold, host, carry, and then release.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: And how much more so has that opened up opportunities for me?
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: And just in the thing of, you know, I did that thing, right?
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: My stretch marks say that I was able to stretch to meet that that I thought was going to break me, and it didn't.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: And in fact, I'm cool for it, right?
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Those are not scars.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Those are a reminder of what is possible if I allow, right?
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: And so some of these things that have become really tough, I love where this goes.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: Laura Lee and I, we never plan these.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: We get on, we start talking, and then we're always like, hmm, that's where we want to go.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: Okay, cool.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, absolutely.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: And I want to make sure I reiterate too, I had low risk pregnancies.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: I love hospitals when they're needed.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: I've had friends whose lives were saved by hospitals.
- 15:01UNKNOWN: It's the low risk, the majority of babies born in other
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: first world developed countries are actually born at birth centers or at home but America and Australia for some reason we think we have to go to a hospital and I'm going to blame Hollywood for most of that.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah right I know when they start screaming I'm like oh my goodness.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: What?
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: It's supposed to be like I am all that is woman.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: Legit! I felt so powerful at that moment honestly there was this half a moment of oh my gosh I have no control over this now like when you go over that feeling you get when you stand on the water slide, right?
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: That, oh my goodness.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: And yet that is an exhilaration piece because that's how I got goosebumps thinking about it.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: It was a very powerful experience for me and I really enjoy having the conversation with women that they never have because they only have that view of the Hollywood view of how it could go.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: And again, yeah, we're all on board with making the best decision for you, for your baby.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: Be safe.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: Let's be real here, people.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: And If you can, why not experience it, right?
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: Why not see what your body is capable of?
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: And therefore, by the same token, what could your life be capable of?
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: If you said, well, I feel the fear, and I'm going to do it anyway, right?
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: When I realized that nobody was going to make it, it was literally, I literally screamed, she's coming, and the next person was there.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: And my husband just looked at me, and our birth photographer had made it, and she just looked at me, and they both had this look of like, what did you just do?
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: Did you really just do that?
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: And all the pictures, I love that I have pictures because that's the look on my face.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: It's like, what?
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: What just happened?
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: This is awesome, but did I do that?
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: I did that?
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: That was me?
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: I did that?
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: And that's what I think that a lot of entrepreneurs, I work with a lot of entrepreneurs, specifically women and men who have been building their business and they know what they want, how they want it, and they're cultivating everything, but they can't ever get past that extra point.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: And it's because, like you said, the surrendering to the fear, the taking the hands off the wheel and riding the roller coaster part has to occur.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: If not, you're just going to go through life with white knuckles, and that's not fun.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: We are laughing because...
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: And she's pointing at me.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: Candace is pointing at me and laughing because she walks into the house the other day and she goes, you look really calm.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: what happened and I asked me a couple questions and I said no neither of those happened I just give up I surrender I am done literally white knuckling everything I give up just I can't control this anymore so I release and that's the path that I'm literally walking into right now.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: So that's interesting.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: A little background.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Sounds like you need to be in my mastermind.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: A little background is I've been an entrepreneur for 11, almost 12 years.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: And so I've gotten used to white-necked women, right?
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: That feeling of I don't know, but I trust completely.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: It's all good.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: And Laura Lee's a little newer to this.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: And so, you know.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: A little newer, like six months.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: Six months ago, I quit my job.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: I decided I'm just going to jump in and do this.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: That's the way you got to do it.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: No safety.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: No safety.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: Left my safety job and jumped in.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: So it's been a lot of fun, but to be honest with you, it's been a really powerful experience.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: You know, when I go to Texas, I'm like, so how do you, like, is this how it, like, and you know what that's like when you're talking to those entrepreneurs.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, that's the beauty.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: I forget which...
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: powerhouse speaker says it, but if you're not living on the edge, you're taking up way too much room.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: Another one that I love is, I don't remember his name, but if you're not too big for the space you're in, then you're too small for it.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: So that's kind of what I always think.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: I'll get to where I'm at, and a lot of, you know, again, entrepreneurs, since that's really who I work with, and I'm talking, some of my entrepreneurs are people that are like at-home artists that I help them create their business.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: They're not always established businesses, but I feel that in this world, one piece that we keep getting told is that robots are going to take over all of our jobs, right?
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: And what I think is perfect.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: Now you can go make a living doing what you love to do instead of whatever that robot's going to do.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: Agreed.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: So we try to keep these to about 20 minutes, and I feel like we've given our listeners a lot of nuggets.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: I feel like they're going to be sitting there going, Right?
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: Which is a great place for us to leave them.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: We tend to keep our podcasts shorter so that people feel like clicking on the next one and the next one and the next one.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: That being said, if you were going to leave our listeners with something, what would that be?
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: And certainly at the end of that, feel free to leave us with some links and some direction.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: We'll also post those, you know, if someone's driving, they can just go back to the podcast later and find those links to find you if there's some value there.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: So what would you leave our listeners with?
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: I would say that the number one thing that anyone anywhere can do is take their to-do list that they have for the day, because everyone has one, and then take yourself and put it at the top.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: of your today.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: So just make sure that that every day, no matter, even if it's the end of the day, if it's 11 o'clock at night and all your kids are in bed and you still haven't done anything for yourself, go do whatever that is that you need to do.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Go stand in the rain, go take about a five minute shower, whatever it is that you need to do to make sure that you did take care of yourself today.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: Do it.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's big power there.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: And I, I'm a big advocate for that.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: as far as women go and taking care of themselves and doing things as even small as a shower.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: We're laughing because she just made me go take one.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: I get into work mode and I'm like, I'll do it later.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: She's like, no, you haven't showered yet.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: Or as simple as when I first had my baby, I did my face and I got a lot of comments.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: Why would you do that?
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: How do you have time to do that with a brand new baby?
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Because I make time.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Because I feel good.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: I feel empowered.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: I'm going to do my makeup.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: I don't care if I'm going out of my house.
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: I'm going to do my makeup because I feel good.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: And so I definitely empower women to do whatever it is they feel good in.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's wearing a pair of high heel shoes while you clean your house.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: I don't, I don't know.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: Whoa.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: You know, I've done it.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: I've done it.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: You know, we all have different avenues that make us feel good and empowered.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: So, um, yeah, men don't have a problem with it the same way that women do.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: My husband puts himself first all the time and I'm like, thank you for helping me.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: Um, But now we don't have that.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: That's like, the fighting doesn't even exist anymore because I finally get where he's been coming from.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: And he's all like, oh, wait, you weren't doing that this whole time?
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Is that why you were mad?
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: Oh, my gosh.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: That's like the whole podcast.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, wait, you weren't doing this this whole time and that's why you're mad?
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: communication for future relationships communication tell me to go have a shower well and to be honest with you I'm really empowered by the people I get to hang out with and a number of them are men who really powerfully put themselves first from a really great place they're gentlemen they're awesome people to be around we had a couple on the podcast and yeah they would absolutely say yeah put yourself first with this look on their face like you don't do that already so I love where you went with that because I think that that's something that hasn't been said yet and then We gave it a voice just now, so thank you for that, Karen.
