Guilt isn’t the enemy we often think it is. Christian guilt—rooted in our recognition of sin—can actually draw us closer to God when met with repentance. Reflecting on David’s journey in the Psalms, we learn that guilt, properly understood, leads us to confession, action, and ultimately the joy of forgiveness through Christ’s sacrifice.
