- 0:05SPEAKER_02: And I had just talked to the kids about this uh about a week ago.
- 0:09SPEAKER_02: Lydia finally got a needo, okay?
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: Oh, yes, yes, yes.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: We just got one for Zach's niece, too.
- 0:15SPEAKER_02: Now, you can get knockoff things.
- 0:17SPEAKER_02: We've talked about the squishy thing.
- 0:19SPEAKER_02: Kids, for whatever reason, right now, are in anything squishy.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: And God, it feels so gross.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: It's the weirdest feeling in the world, in the world.
- 0:26SPEAKER_02: In the world.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: In the way, right?
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: But this is a friendly reminder to not put your needo squishy toys in a microwave.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: Again, this happened.
- 0:36SPEAKER_02: And remember, this is where we had a conversation about remember blowing the doors off microwaves with eggs in the microwave and stuff.
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: And that spun off the conversation of the needle.
- 0:46SPEAKER_02: Because here's the problem.
- 0:47SPEAKER_02: These damn videos are online, and you know, not every well, here I'll tell you what the problem is.
- 0:52SPEAKER_02: Stupid kids?
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, but think of what I'm gonna put it in perspective of like when I was a kid, so I had my older brother, because if you're a young, young, young kid, you may not go, let's put this in the microwave.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: But I was let's say I'm at the neat age, but I have an older brother who's like, hey Alicia.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: Do a microwave that?
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Yes, exactly.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: And then I'm like, okay.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: Well, I think I think it's you're right on that.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: I think it's also true, and it was proven to us to today, because we've mentioned Shaq coming to Watkins Glen in a couple weeks more than once in the past couple weeks.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: But yet today someone just heard it for the first time.
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: So I think what happens is a lot of times, you know, these videos just keep going around of people doing this, and here it is.
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: A couple of kids have been hospitalized from an explosion due to uh, well, this TikTok trend.
- 1:43SPEAKER_02: Uh, this is the fire marshal, not Bob.
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: Uh this is the fire.
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: It's the throwback joke for you, but here's the fire marshal talking about it.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: It exploded and oozed its gel on them.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: The four-year-old suffered burns to her uh her legs, I believe her arms, and a little bit of her face.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: Oh, her face.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Here's the thing.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: I why is it the arm is okay, but I'm like, oh, her face.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: Well uh now here's the thing.
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: I can't totally blame the parents because they may not have known this trend.
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: You know, they were they Or they weren't home.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: Or they weren't well, with a four-year-old, I'd hope you're not leaving them at home, but whatever.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: You've got a teenage babysitter who's just like scrolling through their phone.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: That's true.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: Um but you know, I've had this conversation with the kids.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: I'm like, we're not leaving these in the car, and we're not, these are just for you to hold and squish, and that's it.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: And like literally, because I've heard this and I it's scary.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Do you say, Don't be a dummy?
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's always good parenting.
- 2:43SPEAKER_02: Now don't be any parent.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: Well, okay, maybe I've said that once or twice.
