- Lucas: Hey Luna, ready for another Telugu lesson? I'm excited about today's topic. Luna: Yeah! What are we learning? I hope it's something I can use right away. Lucas: We're going to learn words for body parts that we haven't covered yet — ears and hair. In Telugu, ear is చెవి. Say it with me: చెవి. Luna: చెవి. That sounds like 'chevi'. Is that right? Lucas: Exactly. చెవి. And hair is జుట్టు. Repeat: జుట్టు. Luna: జుట్టు. That's a bit tricky. జుట్టు. Lucas: You got it. Now let's make a sentence. 'My ear hurts' is నా చెవి నొప్పిగా ఉంది. Listen: నా చెవి నొప్పిగా ఉంది. Luna: నా చెవి నొప్పిగా ఉంది. So that's 'my ear is painful'? Lucas: Yes, 'my ear hurts'. Perfect. Now another sentence: 'Your hair is beautiful' — మీ జుట్టు అందంగా ఉంది. Try it. Luna: మీ జుట్టు అందంగా ఉంది. That's a nice compliment! Lucas: It is. Now if you want to get a haircut, you can say జుట్టు కత్తిరించుకోవాలి — 'I need to cut my hair'. Say it. Luna: జుట్టు కత్తిరించుకోవాలి. That rolls off the tongue. So జుట్టు is hair, and కత్తిరించుకోవాలి is 'to cut'? Lucas: Right, 'need to cut'. And one more: చెవులు శుభ్రం చేయాలి — 'I need to clean my ears'. Try it. Luna: చెవులు శుభ్రం చేయాలి. చెవులు is ears, plural, right? Lucas: Yes. చెవి is singular, చెవులు is plural. Good catch. Now let's remember: we've learned చెవి, జుట్టు, and the sentences. Luna: Repeat them? I'll try: నా చెవి నొప్పిగా ఉంది. మీ జుట్టు అందంగా ఉంది. జుట్టు కత్తిరించుకోవాలి. చెవులు శుభ్రం చేయాలి. Lucas: You said them perfectly! Let's practice a little scene. Imagine you're at the salon. You say మీ జుట్టు అందంగా ఉంది to the stylist. Luna: మీ జుట్టు అందంగా ఉంది. They'd probably smile at that. Lucas: Then you say జుట్టు కత్తిరించుకోవాలి to ask for a haircut. Luna: జుట్టు కత్తిరించుకోవాలి. That's handy. What if my ear hurts and I need to see a doctor? Lucas: Then you say నా చెవి నొప్పిగా ఉంది. The doctor will understand. Luna: నా చెవి నొప్పిగా ఉంది. Good to know. Lucas: And if you need to clean your ears, చెవులు శుభ్రం చేయాలి. Maybe after a swim. Luna: చెవులు శుభ్రం చేయాలి. That makes sense. Lucas: Let's do a quick drill. I'll say the English, you say the Telugu. 'Ear'. Luna: చెవి. Lucas: 'Hair'. Luna: జుట్టు. Lucas: 'My ear hurts'. Luna: నా చెవి నొప్పిగా ఉంది. Lucas: 'Your hair is beautiful'. Luna: మీ జుట్టు అందంగా ఉంది. Lucas: Great job.
