- speaker-0: It show us your tips, Daggy, and Beaver's back with us for the first time in a while as we get stuck into some spring racing Rose Hill and Caulfield to look at. How are you, Beaver? speaker-1: Very well, thanks Daggy. Yep, we're alive and well and ⁓ back to relaunch the Show Shit podcast, video, whatever you want to call it, and ⁓ get the punters on track for spring. speaker-0: Beautiful, good to have you back. We can find us ⁓ each and every week for those that know. ⁓ on show us your tips dot net, as well as the audio available through Spotify, anywhere good podcasts are found and the YouTube channel you're currently watching on ⁓ what's caught your eye, I guess in racing land in the last few weeks, Beaver. speaker-1: Yeah, well it's good to ⁓ see the races starting to to hot up ⁓ as we head into spring and some of the good horses coming back. So keen keen to to see how that goes. obviously what's caught my eye recently, look it's gonna be an interesting spring. ⁓ there's some some horses showing ⁓ a lot of potential there. ⁓ I think we're gonna gonna see some some up and comers come through the ranks. ⁓ probably one of my biggest concerns is just how some of the tracks are gonna play. ⁓ looking at Rose Hill, ⁓ which we will get into first ⁓ very shortly. couple of weeks ago it was diabolical at Rose Hill, the track. And that's again maybe a little bit of concern again when doing the form tomorrow. I'm pretty keen on a fair few things, but the track can always mess up tips when you're doing them 24 hours out. speaker-0: Hundred percent we'll see how they play. And and Caulfield hasn't been any better. That inside keeps keeps falling to shit. So ⁓ we'll find out how both hold up as we get towards the ⁓ the spring carnival. ⁓ let's kick off at Rose Hill, as you said, where the rail does go back to the true. Soft five at the moment, and beautiful day in Western Sydney. Some rain coming ⁓ I believe this evening and tomorrow. So but I don't think it's too much worse than than a soft seven. Fingers crossed, we kick off. ⁓ well, with the rail in the true, hopefully we'll be able we're able to make ground. ⁓ traditionally we can and we'll have fingers crossed that that is the place to be as well. midway is first, fifteen hundred meters kicks us off. ⁓ and we start with a tricky one. Where have you gone here? speaker-1: Yeah, well, as I said with the the way Roseville played last start, ⁓ it was leader leader ⁓ very leader bias inside bias. I'm gonna go for the favourite here, in ⁓ attract attractive yes, that's it, attractiveness. speaker-0: Yes. speaker-1: It was a good win last start. I really like the way that it won. ⁓ it gets a two kilo claim here with ⁓ Sienna Grimer who's flying at the moment. ⁓ gate two ⁓ suits. I think it can just sit behind the pace here and I think it probably has a little bit ⁓ on the field here. ⁓ I've really found it hard to find too much else, ⁓ to be totally honest. You're taking close to two dollars ⁓ which is which is a little bit skinny, but I think we can get off on it on a good foot here. speaker-0: Yeah, I thought it I do think it's a bit short, especially now there's been further money for it, but it is on top for me as well. ⁓ it gets the right run as it did a couple of weeks ago, just camps off the back of ⁓ Danish Prince, Lady Pankhurst. And ⁓ and should be very hard to beat again. I thought Johnson was the value here. It gets a lovely run too and has done some decent stuff. Looks like one to throw into your trifectors, it'll get a similar run to the favourite. So they were the they were the ⁓ two I was starting with in the first, but predominantly with the fave as well. ⁓ next best Cuban cigar. Yeah. The second is a two-year-old race here. No, it's not a three-year-old race now. Benchmark 72, 1300 metres. And I don't know if we need to spend too long on this. ⁓ I went and had a look back through Steel Wheels stuff and it looks ultra impressive. Trials were good, the smashed them returning here, and with J Mac going on, I think it just gets the job done. thrill hunter resumed, okay, we'll make it the main danger, but ⁓ very, very hard to beat as the market would suggest. speaker-1: Yep, I went the same way here. I thought I thought J Mac ⁓ gets the one out one back here ⁓ and probably just peels off him at the top of the straight and should be too good. Gate four, perfect draw, very skinny again. Maybe you can all up those. and then I thought the main danger was throw hunter as you said, and probably Walla's other horse in letters patent. ⁓ I think the waterhouse too will probably set the pace here ⁓ and give the others the ability to to run home. speaker-0: The third is a thirteen hundred meter highway class three. I didn't spend a great deal of time having my head done in by this, but did you find anything worthwhile? ⁓ how'd I miss it? There it is. speaker-1: Yeah I did. The alarm bells should be ringing here. Yeah. How did you miss it? ⁓ good horse. This is this is a good horse. This has got some ability. J Max on board here. it it won very nicely at Scone last start. ⁓ beat tactically who ran second behind a a very ⁓ good overseas horse. I think it was yesterday. speaker-0: Yeah, beyond thing. speaker-1: Yeah, beyond thing. That was a very nice ⁓ win appeared, I think it was called, or something like that. and I think this thing beat it as comfortable as that, probably more comfortable. so again, ⁓ it'll be just off the pace. ⁓ I think this would just be too good. I think the nine's probably gonna come in a little bit from that. ⁓ if there's a couple of scratchings maybe Yeah, it'll be super hard to beat and has the best jockey aboard. I think the main danger is sanity ⁓ coming here from down the down the highway as well. ⁓ it's been going well, it's third up, had a couple of good ⁓ wins, ⁓ and it's drawn well, so I I think it's the main danger. speaker-0: Where do all these horses go? He comes to town with one of these horses every three weeks and then you never hear from again. Like lightly race and Yeah, and then you just never yeah. Yeah, it's odd. ⁓ there's a couple here. I I'd look I'd begrudgingly probably have it on top. The two I I'll have something small on, extreme from ⁓ the Snowden, one of the Snowden yards. Out wide, I thought it's been doing some some reasonable stuff there. Gets the inside gate, which may or may not be an advantage, we'll know ⁓ Around this time of the day. And fan Harder who hasn't had a lot of luck, any start, and will be back and wide, so we'd want to be making ground, but around 30, so might have something small on that. They're the two, two outside the Masara horse, who ⁓ I don't generally go looking for, as Beaver knows. The fourth is a 1900 meter benchmark 78, and disappointed we've lost some myrrh here. I thought it would run well, but we do get to back it. At Caulfield. ⁓ I'm left with Leo Leo Varney on top. Quick back up. Did everything could last time out. ⁓ chasing that tear away leader. And in fact it was the leader, wasn't it? Yeah. I think quick back up really. Yeah. That's right, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. ⁓ but the fact it's come straight back and and probably goes close to leading this, I'll put it on top. But ⁓ I was keener with the the haze runner here. Anything caught your eye? speaker-1: Yeah, Leavani was the same. It's been flying. It was a good run last start. There was plenty to like about that run. It was coming back from 1800 to 1600, which probably didn't suit. So it gets back out now to the to the 1900, and the fact that they're ⁓ backing it up after that run ⁓ suggests that it's ⁓ going well at the moment. Its form's outstanding. I thought $4 was a ⁓ A very nice price. it's getting four and six kilo weight pull from the the others in the market. I thought it was going to be super hard to beat. maybe the main danger is ⁓ Concordia wind from the the J Mac ⁓ Wallace stable. That was a really nice win last start. and had some excuses prior to that. ⁓ it's going well. ⁓ that that's the main danger for me. speaker-0: I'm surprised I you're right, the price has held up given a favor it came out. ⁓ yeah, no, that's worth taking to four dollars, I think I agree. ⁓ the fifth fourteen hundred metres benchmark seventy-eight for the Phillies and Mayors. One of yours is in here, Beaver. ⁓ how's the confidence levels? speaker-1: Look, ⁓ I think Transend's gonna be super hard to beat. The horse is just a bit of a nutrop. it doesn't settle and can over race and can be a bit unpredictable. I I think it's got a plenty of talent, but it just needs to settle in its races and if it does, I think it it takes care of this field. ⁓ hopefully ⁓ there's a little bit of pace on and maybe there is with with Glissando and a a couple of others that may go forward if that's the case. ⁓ can jump and sit in behind the pace, I think it's going to be hard to beat. So I've got it on top. I'm gonna stick with it. The favourite with J Mac and Wallet is is going really well. But it has just been midweek company. Steps up to weekend company here. ⁓ It was a nice win last start, but it was a Canterbury and that was well suited for the on-page runners there. But definitely hard to beat. Transcend Yeah, on top. speaker-0: I've it's testing my patience, but I've actually put on top two. I thought the resumption was pretty good, did as much as it could there at the Kensington track. Should sit closer from gate three and I was a a bit like you a bit against Glissando coming off of Kembler and then leading at Canterbury to a Saturday race. So I've got it on top. I thought mind your biz was The best last ⁓ Saturday start here in ⁓ behind a Vista, another Mazara horse. I ran quite well there. ⁓ and next best Pier Artis Gem, who's now third up and no weight on its back, is is one that you'd throw into your trifectors. But I'm gonna go with Transcend, very much testing the patience though. The six is eleven hundred metre benchmark seventy eight. Interested to hear your thoughts here because this was a bit tricky. ⁓ I ended up turning around and just getting rid of the lead up. And went looking for for fresh blood and put street artists on top. Then I went and looked at the market and it was favourite. I thought it didn't really like being Thought it ran okay last time in a race that's probably better than this, I should say. ⁓ finished across the line there for Oil Insignia and Co. And ⁓ I think that holds up okay here. And then I didn't know it because she's an artist on probably. The fact they've been fighting in the trials and trying to get it to settle, I the penny might have dropped if i she could she could beat these and ⁓ I'm probably gonna spec both the Melbourne horses just 'cause I didn't like the Sydney form at all. ⁓ and I didn't have a lot else to add. So I just got rid of Sydney and just went looking for Melbourne form with with not a lot of confidence. What have you done? speaker-1: Yeah, it wasn't a race either that I had a super amount of confidence. I've gone for she's an artist resuming here. You know, poop there was a lot of hype around this horse previously and ⁓ you know, question mark whether it was up to that height, but you're right, if it can settle here, and it's only over the eleven hundred, so hopefully there's a bit of pace on that'll help it settle. And we know it's got some mobility. ⁓ I thought five dollars was not a bad play, gets a three kilo plane. A bit worried about the draw, ⁓ gate twelve, so it's got the outside of the field here and again depending on how the track's playing, if it's inside and on pace, you probably might might be having to put a line through it, but ⁓ then again we will see. I'm just not sure about ⁓ street artist. ⁓ I've I've followed it a few runs this preparation and I'm probably happy to see it go around without me money. ⁓ that doesn't mean it can't win. I thought speaker-0: No, I know what you mean. I just speaker-1: I thought the resuming beside the ocean again, the J Mac Wallow combination at $7, you've got to keep an eye on. Resuming's only had the two first up runs for a win and a second, so ⁓ does go well, fresh. ⁓ both its wins have been first, second up. and has looks to be able to handle all conditions. So ⁓ I've got it as the main danger. speaker-0: The other fresh horse actually just to think about Furelli Quaddies is off the press. ⁓ it's been in some decent company and and is right away from that form that I don't like as well. Now the seventh kicks off the Quaddy, benchmark ninety four, twelve hundred metres, ⁓ small field. Is there much to talk about here? speaker-1: I don't think there's a lot to talk about. I'm going for the favourite here, Hawker Hall. ⁓ I'm pretty keen on it. I think it can jump out from gate two, control the pace and it's gonna be pretty hard to beat. I think the J Mac services for Lee's and not on the waller thing is a is a good pointer. yeah, I I when I went through this I found it hard to find anything else, so ⁓ Hawker Hall was my clearing. speaker-0: Yeah, underrated little sprinter. ⁓ I I've got on top two. ⁓ jump lead win for J Mac and Grand Impact can can chase it and run second and I stolen more hopefully run third, but not much else to add here. ⁓ very hard to beat, Hawkehall. The feature is the eleven hundred metre listed rosebud as we get started on the s proper spring carnival and some nice horses resuming. What have you done in here in the feature? speaker-1: Yeah, super hard race this one. Lot of well, young horses, ⁓ limited starts, some have ⁓ produced some really nice runs in in their one or two starts that they've had. I'm gonna stick with Blue Door ⁓ from the Bior and Baker stable. ⁓ they really like this horse. it was a very, very good win at its only start, ⁓ behind some good ⁓ beating some good horses there has trialed well and Yeah, there's there's some wraps on this. Gate four is perfect. ⁓ there's a couple of others in here that can run a nice race. I thought Central Europe. it it's been trielling really well and looks to be a speedy type ⁓ again from the Wallace stable. ⁓ it can run really well. I thought ⁓ Chili Girls Only Start was a good one. ⁓ it's resuming here and has pace and then even down in the market, Walla's got one at $34, Hydrix. yeah, it could be a bit of a smoky, but ⁓ I'm gonna stick with Bjorn's Blue Door. speaker-0: I'd have lot to add. I'm with Blue Door as well. I won't rehash, having just said it's on top. Under focus through the same form line I made the danger. Trials were were good there. And Walla's, again, to mention a Waller one. This one from Perth, it's come over striking alibi. ⁓ it it's what are we looking at about here? 16 bucks. I thought was interesting, the fact they've sent it straight over to Waller, but ⁓ predominantly with Blue Door, ⁓ main danger, the same form line there, under focus for me. ⁓ Nice nice summary. The ninth is a benchmark one hundred or ⁓ fourteen hundred meter handicap. And fairly keen here. I don't think the market's in the right order. But I think Attica's a top horse. It spent the whole time last prep chasing she's an alibi in Autumn Glow. Resumes here in ⁓ standard Saturday, albeit reasonable f standard Saturday handicap. ⁓ and I'm gonna put it on top. ⁓ it does have a win fresh in a prior prep. ⁓ And easy to like, ⁓ and Alt Off is the only danger, as the market suggests. Goes ⁓ Siena to Zach Lloyd, which will help. Horse can be a bit odd and gets a nice run. So only two hopes for me in the ninth. What about yourself? speaker-1: Yeah, flipped them. I thought Altoff's resumption was excellent. ⁓ that was a really good run again. That was two weeks ago on the Roseville track. That was super inside leader bias. ⁓ the horse that won that Carbonata sat on the leader's back, got split and was in the fast lane. Altoff had to sit off the fence. It was probably one of the better runs on the day when you look at the the pattern of the racing and the track. finished off very nicely to run second there. ⁓ Gets an extra hundred here. Only got the 52 on its back and drawing gate four. I think it's going to, if it's derives some improvement from that, it's going to be hard to beat. So you add it on top. At you're right, has been racing in very good company and you can't underestimate that. Resumes here, gilded, expect it. Would be fairly forward for this and could be hard to beat. speaker-0: Beauty. And we're gonna wrap up with a benchmark seventy eight for the boys. Fourteen hundred meters. Who do you like? speaker-1: Yeah, ⁓ tough race to finish the day. ⁓ I kind of went looking for something outside the favorite but ended up coming back there purely again. it started short last start, but again was on that that track bias Road Silk track, ⁓ where it's just no chance. ⁓ in the run, had to do a lot of bullocking work. It was I think it was barrier eleven so I got stuck doing the chasing outside the leader and you know, just just ⁓ struggled in the last little bit. I think if the tracks hopefully a little bit different here, can sit ⁓ and get some cover here from gate six. I think you'll see a bit of improvement here. Gonna be hard to beat. so I I went went back to it and put it on top. speaker-0: Cool. It's funny, it feels like it's been around for ten years. It's only had six starts, Tarzan. I did when you go to look at it it just it just feels like a wall of one that goes round and round. But ⁓ I went I wasn't overly enthused with the race. I've got Steel Strike on top. I thought it a decent job chasing ⁓ the tearaway Felix ⁓ majestic last time out, ⁓ reeled it in well enough. I don't think it Felix goes quite as crazy here. And it's on top and I think Silvanito sorta did the same. So around a six and nine dollar mark, Silvanito doesn't need another win. ⁓ I'll I'll cover those two. ⁓ Mr. Verse interest me. It's a horse I liked in a previous in some previous preps and I thought the resumption alongside Piastrian Royal Insignia at least got it a berth in the Quaddy, which I'll get to now. For the Sydney Quaddy, I think am I still doing Sydney or you do Melbourne? We work with that. Might as well. Alright. For Sydney, first leg, five Hawker Hall, eight. I stole a Merck and we'll go three Grand Impact. Second leg. speaker-1: Clans. speaker-0: Three Central Europe, five under focus, six Blue Door, seven Chili Girl, ten Castillo King, sixteen striking alibi and seventeen Swasion. Third leg, just the one Attica, five Romeo's choice at knockout there at leader and ten ⁓ alt off. And we'll come home with four Mr. Verse, eight, Silvanado. Nine steel strike and ten tarzing. Under bucks gets you about forty percent of that. My best race two number three steel will and my value in the highway, a couple away from ⁓ Masara's horse, Fan Harder and Extreme numbers eleven and fifteen. Beaver, what about yourself? Best in value. speaker-1: Yeah, look, my best bet I am going to stick with race three, number fourteen, Valador. I've got that as my best. Look, the value is hard to find, so what I'm going to do with my value is I'm going to go raise seven, number five, hawk of all, all on to raise eight, number six, blue door, which you're going to get ⁓ near enough to about eight or nine bucks. speaker-0: Beautiful. ⁓ let's head to Corfield. PB Lawrence Stakes Day, the I guess official kickoff of their spring racing carnival. The rail's soft. I think the rain we the rail's not soft, the rail's in the true. The track is soft and the forecast looks a bit better than ⁓ we probably expected. as we said, In the last few months when we've seen it rain there the inside's just completely fallen apart, but we do have a a bit of fresh ground. They've had kept that rail right out for a few weeks. So we'll cross our fingers, but I'm expecting they'll be coming towards the middle of the track once again as the day goes on. Any thoughts on that? speaker-1: Yeah, I think I think you're probably right there, which makes it ⁓ a little bit tricky until we see that. So again, could could change the way that you play. time will tell. speaker-0: All good. We kick off with the 1100 metre benchmark seventy-four. And ⁓ I know I've got a talented one resuming here and educated, but I'm just siding with a couple of fit horses at a bit of a price. ⁓ the first is Mark Dell up the top. ⁓ it's done nothing wrong, really. I think it's goes around, always in a finish and we keep getting reasonable prices there. I liked its last win, albeit in the right side part of the track. ⁓ being a snitzer it handles the wet okay. And I thought the quick backup from behaviour finally getting a win last week. ⁓ Going around again here was a good sign for Jet Stanley. I'm gonna cover both at an each way price and see how we go. What are you thinking? speaker-1: funny you should say I I I did have Mark Dell as a as a genuine chance here at around the ten dollar mark. I think, you know, I I was bank banking on the the track being a little bit down the middle and then coming from sort of the off the pace there. And I think if that's the case, Mark Dell can run really well. I'm really keen to see how number twelve Sabioid, ⁓ if that's how you say it. close enough. I'm really keen to see how it's ⁓ resumes. A couple of nice runs ⁓ at Pakenham and I think they were pretty good. ⁓ I think if there's some pace on here and there's been some improvement it could run well as well. So yeah, I was the same as you. I kind of just went looking for a bit of value here in the first ⁓ given that ⁓ wanna see how the track's playing and that was the way to go. speaker-0: The second 2000 meter benchmark seventy-eight. What are you doing here? speaker-1: Yeah, interesting race here. ⁓ I think the f there's a few in the market that can run well, but I'm I'm with Samurg. ⁓ it's been scratched to run here. I think the three dollar sixty is ⁓ a very good price. does come back from the twenty four hundred to the two thousand. So just probably sharpen up a bit, but prior to that I thought those runs were very, very good. And I think it's got a little bit of it's probably just got a little bit of ability here ⁓ on some of these. But you know, some of the others in the market, Emletto, Federa, ⁓ and even Alien is going quite well. I'm keen to see how the 16 goes now, getting third up. in Australia, stepped up to 1600 to the 2000. So I'm keen to see I mean there's only a length of them in the market. So playing these, I am got the four on top, main danger the sixteen. speaker-0: Not much to add. Was keen on Sumur in Sydney. I did Sydney first. I still like it here in this race. ⁓ only blemish was last start where ⁓ a couple of months ago with the freshen up and just had to sit outside lead. There was a bit of a sitting shot. Amletto going really well, main danger, as the market suggests. ⁓ interesting enough, all of these horses had a bit of a gap between runs, so Tacker Speed I'll put in for third. It's had the shortest turnaround, which ⁓ can help in a staying race. But Sumur, one of the better bets on the card for me. The third is the girls benchmark seventy eight, fourteen hundred meters. And I'd like to know how the track's playing by this stage because I've got silent chairs on top. Unfortunately it's probably gonna be go back, be back and wide, ⁓ and try and reel them in like it did last time out. But I think the horse itself's going quite well. ⁓ liked it a few weeks back and just just missed it in the end, but ⁓ I think it's got the s a similar job to do but can do it here. Not a tremendous field. ⁓ looking for horses that were gonna map slightly better. I think Mr Indrama can improve at a big price. ⁓ and Cherish me will be in the right spot but doesn't particularly like winning so make those the danger. But silent share's on an each way play for me, Beaver, what about yourself? speaker-1: Yeah, I I narrowed it down I ⁓ to a couple here. I went for Cherish Me on top. ⁓ I th I liked the the run last start. I think it'd be hard to beat. Got the two kilo claim. finished off nicely. I think it can pose up into a nice spot here and be in the finish. ⁓ for that reason. And I thought happy tears, third up here. Again, drawn wide, so might be ⁓ have it go back here, but third up. Got Craig Williams on board and does have a good finish on it, so I think it can run well as well. Well that's sort of playing those two. speaker-0: Beautiful. ⁓ the fourth is a force. Yeah. ⁓ race four, fourteen hundred meter ⁓ benchmark ninety handicap. What are we doing here, Baver? speaker-1: Yeah, I'm I'm keen that Dutch Sou can ⁓ run a really good race here. I think it was scratched most recently from I can't remember if it was last week or the week before. So ⁓ we see it reappear here, gets a two kilo claim, gate six, I think it can pose up where it needs to be, ⁓ depending on what speeds in the race it can lead or just sit sit off the pace. I think that allows it to do what it needs to do and I think it can be super hard to beat here. I thought sneaky sunrise resuming can run a really nice race. hasn't one first up, but two seconds and a third, ⁓ handles all conditions, ⁓ trolled nicely for this, and has got some good form when last in work. ⁓ so I think it's ⁓ one to keep an eye on resuming. speaker-0: Yeah, really keen Dutch as Sue. I agree. ⁓ it loves a wet, loves the setup, going really well. We'll put it on top. ⁓ put LEU, the main danger coming back from a Sydney run and getting a wet track should help. The fifth is eleven hundred meter vein stakes. It is a group three for the three rolls down in Melbourne. And I'm going to put going through all these, resuming, I've got ⁓ closer to three on top. ran well in the blue diamond, started his single figures in the slipper and has trialled quite well since Mark's Areson. Question the only question I might have is if it gets really wet or if the rain does come weather it handles that okay. ⁓ but for now I'll put it on top and I'll make big wigs the danger, like it's last win. I think it'll be the swooping horse. what else have I got to say here? Toronado Valley's been kept for from Sydney. It trialed really well actually. ⁓ But I think close to freezer top hole, so we'll see what happens. Beaver, what are you thinking? speaker-1: Yeah, this is a really tough race, I thought. some horses that had some some previous really good form. ⁓ most of them are resuming. I put some I put Tonado Valley on top. I really like the trial. It's resuming here, had some good form last prep. And again I just went for the the six dollars fifty based on ⁓ I think these are these are quite even in the market. I thought hard kick could improve. It was it you know, it was taken on a bit last start and had to do a lot of work. I think that's we'll see some improvement here second up and ⁓ you're right closer to three. maybe maybe just too good and have ⁓ a bit of ability on these, but tricky race. speaker-0: The girls version is up next, the quizette, group three as well, eleven hundred meters as well, and what are you doing here? speaker-1: Yeah, another tricky one. ⁓ some horses that I got some some really good form, ⁓ going really well. ⁓ really hard to line some of these up to be totally honest. So I think I could pick four or five in here and ⁓ still miss. But ⁓ I'm gonna go number one. I'm gonna go the the Kiwi ⁓ that they brought over here, Lara Antopova. been excellent in all of its ⁓ wins ⁓ in new zealand four from four ⁓ really given nothing else a chance has been very short price I liked the the trial it was nice did what it was asked to do so ⁓ so I've got it on top ⁓ but I thought there was some definite some other good good chances the horse like star Stars of Dom really good horse that was a lovely win ⁓ last start and I'm I I would be specing number fifteen, Santa Barbara. I thought that was pretty good in its only restart up the straight. started twenties, but yeah, that was it. That was impressive. ⁓ from a from the Moody stables sort of come up on the inside along the fence. probably not that well drawn. ⁓ but comes in a couple with some scratchings, maybe a little bit more, ⁓ can run well, but you know, Riverina Lou was very good in its only win, comes from a good stable and and the favourite as well. speaker-0: I'm with you. I'm I'll put the Kiwi on top for the reasons you've said, I I think she's been very dominant there. She's the trials she's had since was very good over here. I won't rehash it all, but ⁓ pretty keen. Pretty keen she ⁓ will at least run a place for us at a good price. From ⁓ Riverina Lulu has done good things right the way through her preparation. ⁓ still got upside and ⁓ I think scintillation will go into my quadi as will natural fling. The feature is up next race seven, the PB Lawrence Stakes. It is a group two, it is over 1400 metres, and it's not a bad race. And I ended up just falling into market order to be honest. I've got Cosmic Crusader on top of it. That was a nice win. made a bit of a believer out of me doing that and and when you go back through the form it is has been very good in this last couple of preps. ⁓ stacks up well, wet's not a problem, four nanometer is not a problem. It's on top ⁓ from Nash and Private Eye. We're running the usual honest race coming off the Stradbroke prep. ⁓ evaporate around well too. I just went ⁓ pretty much in market order. What have you done Beaver? speaker-1: Yeah, look, I was the same as you. ⁓ interestingly enough, ⁓ pretty keen on cosmic crusader here. ⁓ I don't think there's a lot of depth to this race. ⁓ at this level. I think ⁓ the resumption was very good and shows that ⁓ this horse is packed with plenty of potential. I think it'll have improved and if it has, ⁓ it will do the business on these. The two dangers are drawn ⁓ outside it and probably makes it a little bit harder for them. So I think the 250 is a good price and clear on top of for me. speaker-0: Beauty. Race eight is the listed Regal Roller Stakes. It is twelve hundred meters a race I'm not particularly enamored with. Who did you like? speaker-1: Yeah, look, this was ⁓ this was as hard as it gets, I think. ⁓ looking at this field. I c I I just ⁓ went down the the market a bit and I've landed on both number one Arkansas Kid and number four Endola. I just saw it around the ten dollar mark. but that's pretty good if you go back to the last start for Endola, for example. It started favorite after we saw the scratching of war machine. ⁓ Probably a little bit disappointing, but maybe that was speaker-0: I'm not sure leading I'm not sure leading helped Dark and Sawkid there. He speaker-1: Yeah, a hundred percent. And and Dolog, I think, pretty much faced the breeze most of the way, ⁓ as well at Flemington and just gave the others the sitting shot. I think it will have improved from that. yeah, it's it's it's performed well before at this track and truck and distance. ⁓ I've got it on top, gate one, and I think Arkansas Kid can also run well. Similarly finished third in that race. I got I got them too, so I'm just gonna play around the ten dollar mark in this. speaker-0: Beauty. The I was surprised this the price of Arkansas Kid, I agree. I think it's probab I think you got it back at around ten dollars. I have put Shadavar on top, ⁓ perhaps get my better judgment, but the more I looked at this, a lot of these horses aren't particularly consistent, whereas it keeps getting the job done, lightly raced and that fit pretty well. For Masakura, who has ⁓ also resumed has also had a trip to New Zealand actually, ran well there. Behind a good one. and fits here because as I said like the favourite re recommendations of one for a good two years. ⁓ so Shadavar, Asakura of Fresh Blood, but I do think Arkansas Kid is the ⁓ is the good value in the race. And we'll wrap it up with a benchmark hundred over the mile. And I thought this would be pretty straightforward and then I got a bit tangled up with light infantryman being in this race. And I've ended up tipping it. Best horse, ⁓ has won fresh. ⁓ Jabez Johnson claim gets it back in reasonably well compared to a lot of the others. And I'll put on top, Australian Cup winner here. Goes on top from what I thought I would be tipping in which is first chorus and dark benee. ⁓ but yeah, just going with ⁓ what I think's the best horse and I'm very interested to see Machine Gun Gracie resume first up, second prep for the Hayes team. I think it could go well this spring. They've found Blake Shin. What do you think, Beaver? speaker-1: Yeah, look, I think the top three ⁓ all hold the key here. I don't think you'll see anything come from outside of those three. Just not quite sure whether light inventory man speaker-0: There's also bigger fish to fry I suggest as well. speaker-1: fish to fry and and whether this is is its main go. First chorus is the one that's ⁓ I'm gonna go with because it's just up and flying and going well. ⁓ I think it's gonna it's gonna posey up ⁓ in the right spot here and suit by the track so I think it's ⁓ gonna be the on top ⁓ I did have Dark Bony as the danger. I thought the resumption was very very good. ⁓ went back and finished off nicely there. When it wasn't easy to make some ground there, I thought that was good and carried 61 and a half that day. ⁓ gets in here with 53, so huge weight drop here. got it as the main danger and hardest to beat, but see certainly can't rule out light infantry man for sure. Yeah, I'll give us a quadie, that's for sure. ⁓ in speaker-0: Beauty. Doesn't give us your quarty? speaker-1: ⁓ the first leg which is ⁓ raise six ⁓ in no particular order. I'm going number five, number one, number ten, number four, seven, and fifteen. So going quite wide there, ⁓ in the first leg, and then I'm gonna thin it out a bit. ⁓ next leg, I'm going number seven, one, and two. in the third leg, I'm going nine. six, one and four and to finish off eight thirteen and three speaker-0: Beautiful. Best in value? speaker-1: Yeah, look, my best bet comes up in it I've now lost my best bet is race seven number seven cosmic crusader and my value bet is race six number one Lara Antipova getting around speaker-0: Lovely. Six dollars. Beauty. ⁓ bet race two number four Summer will make it the best. ⁓ but I'm really keen on Lara. I'm really keen on Dutch Zoo. I'm really keen on Cosmic ⁓ Crusader. They can all ⁓ we'll all give you a beautiful run for your money. Value race one number one Mark Dell. Just quickly in Adelaide will top and tail a meeting there for race three ⁓ race one number three harsh and race nine number four bold secret. What's happening up north? Where are we, Doomin? speaker-1: Yeah, pretty pretty tough day at Dundan. ⁓ didn't really have much there. I did like race seven, number three, Braveheart. I thought he could run really well. And then in race eight, number six, we've got the Grazinga going really well. I think this horse has got a bit of ability. So ⁓ just going those two. speaker-0: Beautiful. Good luck this weekend, and we'll talk soon.
