- 0:00Time out for back to the Basics and healthcare with Balance Life Chiropractic. And
- 0:03we have doctor Harley joining us here doing Doctor Harley. Hey John, I'm
- 0:06doing fantastic. Looks like it's another beautiful week here. Oh yeah, I
- 0:10got a little bit of rain over the weekend, which was nice. But
- 0:13this weekend we've got Father's Day and this Friday, you've got something to do
- 0:17with kiddos. You're gonna be doing a presentation. Let's talk a little bit
- 0:20about that. Yeah, so it's been you know, a little bit in
- 0:23the making, but we are doing a talk at Tea play Place. So
- 0:27they are in the downtown area of Tea that it's like a three thousand square
- 0:32foot indoor space for parents to take their kiddos to run and play and work
- 0:38off some energy. Parents can also if they have work they need to get
- 0:41done, they can they'll hang out there and get some work done while their
- 0:45kids are playing. It's yeah, it's a it's a great space. They
- 0:48also have some outdoor area too that you know, you can be outside.
- 0:51So they bring in health professionals from time to time to do a class.
- 0:55So they've had pellic floor specialists, they've had lactation consultants. They really want
- 1:00to make it like a one stop shop for parents when it comes to finding
- 1:03resources for their kids. So for us, we're going to be doing a
- 1:07talk on chiropractic for kids. You know, how chiropractic can help your kiddos.
- 1:11Yeah, and all of who might honestly think about taking their kids to
- 1:14a chiropractor because it just doesn't necessarily come up. You don't always know what
- 1:18to look for, or you know, people aren't necessarily telling you, hey,
- 1:22your kid to a chiropractor, but your you know, maybe your parent
- 1:23brain or your your mommy gets telling you something's just you know, I want
- 1:27more. You know, my PD actually telling me one thing. They're gonna
- 1:30grow out of it, like they're gonna get better, but you just feel
- 1:34like that's not quite right. While talking to a chiropractor can be a great
- 1:38way to help figure out where these underlying issues are coming from. And that's
- 1:42really what I'm gonna be deep diving into is a lot of common things that
- 1:46kiddos deal with, you know, sleeping issues, bedwetting, ear infections,
- 1:49you know, even AHD anxiety like mental health kind of stuff as well,
- 1:55and even like little little babies and kiddos, you know, latching problems,
- 1:59digect issues, you know, if your baby's not sleeping through the night.
- 2:02You know, a lot of things that we say are common or the futures,
- 2:07like, oh, it's normal for them at their age, they're going
- 2:07to grow out of it, but it starts kind of becoming something else as
- 2:10we get older. You know, whatever they have as a baby, it
- 2:14manifests in a different form, you know, throughout life versus you know,
- 2:17let's try to take care of it now. Figure out why these issues are
- 2:22happening. So that's really something that I'm going to be talking more and more
- 2:24about at this talk, and it's probably a really good idea to start early
- 2:28and kind of get ahead of something so they don't become major issues. If
- 2:31you got a tiny little issue when you're younger that you don't address, it
- 2:35could become a much bigger issue in the future, couldn't it very much.
- 2:38So you know, our brain, especially in the first couple of years a
- 2:40couple months of life, is adapting rapidly, so we want to make sure
- 2:45that the nervous system is functioning to the best it's ability. As you know,
- 2:49these babies are going through these huge milestones and changes in the first year
- 2:53of life. And it's much easier to take care of something early or even
- 2:57prevent it from happening, than waiting for to start manifesting or getting worse as
- 3:01we get older. Because the stuff's been going on longer. It takes a
- 3:04lot more work to try to reproduce some of that. Yeah. So on
- 3:07the radio, we hear these little three to five minute podcast programs that we
- 3:13do each week, but this Friday, it's way more than three to five
- 3:15minutes. How long are you gonna be smooth? Yeah? So this talk
- 3:19is going to last approximately an hour. You know, forty five minutes will
- 3:22be the talk part and then fifteen minutes of that will be Q and A.
- 3:24And obviously you could run shorter, depends on how quickly I talk.
- 3:28I tend to talk pretty fast when I have a lot of information to go
- 3:30through. It could be longer depending on how many questions people have. And
- 3:32this event is free for parents. You know, if kiddos want to come
- 3:37and play at the play place, it would just be eight dollars per kiddo.
- 3:40I think they might have some rates in discounts, but I don't know
- 3:43that. For sure, but yeah, it's a free event for any parents
- 3:46that want to attend, and it's this Friday and tea at what time at
- 3:47ten o'clock on Friday at the Tea Play Place. Very cool and if people
- 3:53would like to know more, I bet they could probably find the info on
- 3:54your Facebook. Yeah, you can check out our Facebook page it bounds like
