- 0:05Good afternoon. I hope you can publish my story. My name is Ana.
- 0:10I' m eighteen years old right now. The story then happened when
- 0:14I was fourteen. I am very interested in paranormal subjects, because, despite
- 0:20not being such a big person, I have lived some experiences and even heard
- 0:25stories of relatives that allow me to believe in this phenomenon. So, well,
- 0:31this is my story. I' ve always been a person who'
- 0:36s been living from one place to another. Because of my dad' s
- 0:40work that has been short- lived, I' ve known many places and
- 0:45I' ve also gone into people' s beliefs and customs since childhood.
- 0:49My parents have not instilled in me a religion as such. They have respected
- 0:54my decision, although they have also made me realize that I have to respect
- 0:58the ideas of others. This story has made me doubt a lot about what
- 1:03I should believe, although I am sure that, just as good exists,
- 1:07evil exists. I' ve always wondered how some people are allowed to always
- 1:12hurt people. Before I begin to relate one of the worst experiences I have
- 1:19ever experienced at my young age, I must add that my close family is
- 1:25made up of my older sister who was seventeen at the time, my mom
- 1:30and my dad. I' ve never considered us a family of money,
- 1:34let alone. There have been complicated seasons, but we' ve come through.
- 1:40My parents have always tried to keep the food at our table from missing
- 1:44us. That is why we have continually changed our homes from the city to
- 1:51some villages, meeting many people with the best and worst intentions. My mom
- 1:57' s always been a very, very social person, so she' s
- 2:01never had a hard time making friends with the neighbors. During one of these
- 2:05sudden home changes in which we had to go live for a while in a
- 2:08small town, my mom met an older lady. I don' t remember
- 2:15his age exactly, but he seemed to be over 70 years old. Everyone
- 2:19called him Doña Juana, that person to be sincere and without the urge to
- 2:23offend. It always caused me a strange feeling. It' s like I
- 2:28' m scared. Actually, my sister used to joke with me about that
- 2:32lady taking me or something. If I misbehaved on this occasion because of Dad
- 2:39' s work we would find ourselves in a more rural area than the previous
- 2:44ones. We' ve never been in a place like this before and it
- 2:49was hard for us to adapt. The house was pretty big. My father
- 2:53said no. Many people were interested in inhabiting it and rightly so. Next
- 2:58to our house we had two neighbors. On one side lived a man older
- 3:02than forty who devoted himself to the care of his sheep, and on the
- 3:07other we had a marriage of the elderly. They were really very quiet neighbors
- 3:12and always behaved very kind to us. Doña Juana lived in front of us,
- 3:19not so close, but relatively in front, since at least we could
- 3:23clearly observe her door and windows. She lived alone said that her husband had
- 3:30died a few years ago from an illness and that she could never get pregnant
- 3:35for more than she tried. He had a careless appearance, abundant gray hair.
- 3:40He was always dressed in clothes, dirty and broken. But of course,
- 3:45we didn' t judge his appearance. We thought that maybe she still
- 3:49didn' t get over her husband' s loss and that made her so.
- 3:53He always came out of his house. In fact, it was hard
- 3:57to find her, especially in the afternoons. My sister and I were coming
- 4:01back from school just at lunchtime and with the quietness of the place, we
- 4:05could even hear when she was leaving, as she always slammed her door and
- 4:11used to be rude as if she were upset. She was so jealous of
- 4:15her stuff, she wouldn' t let anyone near her house. If he
- 4:20saw anyone even passing by, he would go out and throw stones at him
- 4:27while throwing insults and coming back upset. It was almost every day. A
- 4:31day for our surprise. The lady went to knock on the door. I
- 4:35had never done anything like that, even though I had a good friendship with
- 4:40my mom, which was quite surprising because of the lady' s character.
- 4:45She wasn' t going to visit us She usually started talking to my mother
- 4:49outside the house or when they were going to run the errand. She always
- 4:54told us that Doña Juana was a very serious person because of everything that had
- 4:58happened in life that had told her about beatings by her parents and a difficult
- 5:02life in which she had had many shortcomings, so that day it was quite
- 5:08strange that she would go to play. I was looking for my mom.
- 5:13She would leave town for a few days, as the only sister she had
- 5:16was very ill. Even my mom didn' t know she had a sister.
- 5:24It was quite strange, since, as I said before, she used
- 5:29to be very aggressive about her things. No one knew his house fence We
- 5:33couldn' t even get close. Finally, after talking for a while,
- 5:39she convinced her, as she also offered to pay my mom to take care
- 5:44of her house, which we did not see with bad eyes. Extra money
- 5:46wouldn' t go wrong in the home at all. My parents argued about
- 5:53my mom' s decision, while he told her it was a bad idea.
- 5:57Because I' d neglect our house. She exposed him itchy to make
- 6:00some money. It wouldn' t be bad. My mom thought it was
- 6:04a good idea to take us both to Doña Juana' s house, as
- 6:09my dad wouldn' t have to deal with us. Basically, he was
- 6:14hardly in the house. I had a job that sometimes made him even stay
- 6:18out for two days, so there would be no problem and my mom would
- 6:23get a little help from her daughters to make the Lady' s haunting house.
- 6:30The next day we' d settle down. Doña Juana left in the
- 6:33afternoon almost night. She left on a Saturday. I remember perfect. My
- 6:40sister and I had to help my mom pass clothes, food and everything we
- 6:44needed in our stay. The house itself was gloomy, it was a rather
- 6:49careless adobe house. As we couldn' t get close, we couldn'
- 6:57t realize how bad he was. It was as if no one inhabited it
- 7:00in a long time we entered something that we never thought would happen, and
- 7:05the truth is that it was a very humble home. But we also noticed
- 7:10that Mrs Good could give him a different look. It was as if she
- 7:14liked it to look like this. The house had a couple of rooms with
- 7:18no windows. The only windows were next to the door, but they were
- 7:24covered with black fabrics. Evidently there was light like in the other houses,
- 7:30but the light there seemed weaker of a very warm yellow color. I'
- 7:36ll never forget all these details. It was a place where I never thought
- 7:40I' d get in much less sleep there and have experienced all those things.
- 7:46We realized that the lady had kept something in her room. You could
- 7:49see the silhouette of some furniture that were not in place. We thought maybe
- 7:55she' d be afraid we' d steal them or damage them. I
- 8:00had already made it very clear in the indications that she gave my mother that
- 8:03she was going to close her room with insurance and that it was basically forbidden
- 8:09for us to go in there. It was understandable, as people usually have
- 8:11their privacy and there are things we sometimes want people not to see. Like
- 8:18I said, there were two rooms. One was the chamber of the lady
- 8:22and the other was a room, which only housed a black plastic bag recharged
- 8:26in one of the corners, a strange figure of a kind of material such
- 8:31as porcelain, which was also on the floor and decals almost about to fall
- 8:35stuck to the wall with images of what seemed to be holy or something.
- 8:43But away from that, I had nothing, not even furniture or a bed
- 8:48on the floor. They even seemed to have burned something for this point.
- 8:54It seemed like my mom was a little sorry to take care of the house.
- 8:58I think I already knew what was hiding there, but we, in
- 9:01our innocence or at least me, weren' t able to realize things.
- 9:07My mom decided to give all this a chance and thought that if she'
- 9:11d already agreed, we' d have to stay there and do our part.
- 9:16After all, Doña Juana had already paid for the house inside. It
- 9:22was a disturbing place. I could feel a rather strange cold that didn'
- 9:26t even go out. This seemed very strange to us, since we did
- 9:30not have windows in that room and that the only ones that had been covered
- 9:35did not seem possible to us. We reconsider the issue of sleeping on the
- 9:39floor. Not having a bed, we were forced to bring some blankets and
- 9:43lie down on the floor. The cold seemed to be getting more intense.
- 9:48That was definitely not normal, but we finally decided to turn off the light
- 9:54and sleep tomorrow. It would be another day in the morning. When my
- 9:58mom was making breakfast she noticed something that didn' t seem to be there
- 10:03the day before, that is, on one side of the front door was
- 10:09a navy blue vase with white spots, but it was very strange, since
- 10:13all three of us were sure it wasn' t there. When we walked
- 10:18into the house, it was like he showed up at night. When we
- 10:22saw the inside, we realized that it contained a fairly dark green liquid and
- 10:28had a horrible smell. It even made us very nauseous for my mom.
- 10:33All these things were warning signs. The vase had been another sign that perhaps
- 10:39we were not in the right place, and not only talking about that lady
- 10:45' s house, but perhaps during that time we had lived there we had
- 10:50had a rather strange neighbor hiding many things. My mom, seeing the situation,
- 10:58decided to go talk to the neighbors. They had been there longer and
- 11:01would obviously know a little more about this woman. He told us he'
- 11:07d get out of it and try not to touch anything else. I don
- 11:11' t consider myself a person who scares easily. In fact, throughout my
- 11:16life, I feel that I have become stronger and have been able to resist
- 11:20more the supernatural things I have experienced. My sister, on the other hand,
- 11:26is different. Even though she' s older than me, she'
- 11:30s scared of anything. It took her a long time to adapt to the
- 11:35surroundings of that house, as by her friends she had received some warnings about
- 11:39what could be found there and that is that there are so many legends that
- 11:46we have in Mexico, that it is very difficult to reach a town and
- 11:50think that something similar can not happen to you. Mom came back after a
- 11:52while. I hadn' t found anyone. The only neighbors we had who
- 11:58were always at home now seemed to be missing. My father was coming back
- 12:03until Monday night, whenever he went to work. He lost a lot of
- 12:09contact with us and it was a reality that in the village there was not
- 12:13very good sign, but we had become accustomed. So basically at the time
- 12:18it was the three of us taking care of an outsider' s house that
- 12:24hid a lot of things and belonged to a mysterious woman that we didn'
- 12:31t even know when she was coming back since she hadn' t given her
- 12:31a date. My mother had only been told that she would return in a
- 12:37few days when her sister was better off, without a better indication, than
- 12:43if we did not try to open her room that day. We' re
- 12:46trying to take it the best way. We tried to clean up a little,
- 12:50despite the indications, forget about what we had seen the night before and
- 12:54that morning and that the best thing was to keep the deal waiting for Pape
- 13:00Valle to find us calmer. Just one night and a half day had passed,
- 13:05on Sunday afternoon we had gone to try to clean up to make the
- 13:09food and, of course, to be on the lookout for our house.
- 13:13Although after all we were very close. We decided not to touch on it.
- 13:18My sister at that point was pretty scared and it seemed like she didn
- 13:24' t want the night to come. I, too, was a little
- 13:28freaked out, but I didn' t want to prove it to give my
- 13:33mother more security, that she seemed to have forgotten things a little bit.
- 13:37We were talking for a few hours, trying to remember moments when we were
- 13:43younger. We laughed for a while. It seemed that the situation had improved
- 13:48at night and with a little more calmness. We waited for the cold that
- 13:52had made the day before, but it was not so. On the contrary,
- 13:56it seemed to be hotter than usual. We set up the blankets to
- 14:01sleep, turn off the lights. Everything was ready. It was time to
- 14:05rest. I couldn' t sleep I was moving around for a while my
- 14:11mom and my sister looked like they were already asleep. Right above my head
- 14:16was the black bag we had seen when we entered the room. In the
- 14:22despair of not sleeping I moved up and my head touched the bag without wanting
- 14:26to move it and it fell to one side. I just felt a chill
- 14:31and some sort of picket on my neck, whatever, that I was inside
- 14:35fell and went right next to me between the gloom. I could feel that
- 14:41it was a kind of long, thick hair I got up screaming and in
- 14:46the despair of not seeing anything, my eyes sharpened and I can assure that
- 14:52I saw the image of Mrs Juana in the frame of the door staring at
- 14:58us, although between my screams and the despair of finding the switch and my
- 15:01mother and sister rising quickly, I could observe how that silhouette faded. I
- 15:09turned on the light and pointed to where the bag was. She without telling
- 15:13me anything and pale by the scare of my screams, they watched as that
- 15:18bag contained hairs in abundance. It looked like the typical hair that one finds
- 15:22in the shower, but in excess and all three we ran away from the
- 15:28bag that already released underneath a liquid very similar to that found in the vase
- 15:33at that time. Something hit the roof hard. It was more as if
- 15:39something rather heavy had fallen from a great height over the house there was nothing,
- 15:45there was not even a tree nearby. Obviously, we were very scared.
- 15:50My mother and sister started crying out of despair. I didn' t
- 15:54have tears coming out of me, but I felt my heart escaping from my
- 16:00chest. At the same time as my hasty heartbeats it was heard that what
- 16:04was on the roof struck in a recurring and ever stronger way. My mother
- 16:10started praying, holding hands and kissing our cheeks in despair. The little light
- 16:17in the spotlights of the house began to fade away again we were in the
- 16:22dark and as it went out, we could hear a laugh coming from the
- 16:29Lady' s room. That forbidden room we didn' t even have access
- 16:33to. I think I speak for all three of us at that time,
- 16:38when I say that we feel that the soul was leaving our body, we
- 16:45hugged and started screaming, crying desperately, and even my sister scratched my back
- 16:51from despair. The macabre laughter that resounded in that room belonged to Mrs Juana.
- 16:56We could see it on his voicebell. My mother begged him to leave
- 17:00us alone and with a rage in her words, insulted her in a thousand
- 17:04possible ways. Everything had suddenly calmed down. Now there were no more beatings
- 17:11or laughter. We were still paralyzed from fear, we could not move,
- 17:18but it seemed that everything had calmed down. However, it was not so.
- 17:23Outside a kind of light had been lit that had been able to give
- 17:27light through the cloths hanging behind the windows, but it was sudden. A
- 17:33light that seemed to make the ground and disappear into the air. It'
- 17:38s something I' ll never forget They were eternal moments. Maybe it would
- 17:42only have been a few minutes, but for us it was eternal. Suddenly.
- 17:48Outside the house, we heard shots in the air and screams, but
- 17:52of course we could recognize that voice was Mr José, our neighbor, the
- 17:59lonely and kind lord who at that moment returned to us all the sense of
- 18:04calm possible between the silence of the night and all the chaos that had passed.
- 18:08We were able to hear how she cursed Doña Juana, said all kinds
- 18:14of insults, and called her" Witch of Hell" I was never more
- 18:18grateful in my life as at that time to that lord who, although I
- 18:22never got to know him too much, was always very kind. We ran
- 18:29out of there with us. My mother, even with tears in her eyes,
- 18:33went straight to embrace that lord and give him infinite thanks for helping us.
- 18:37Sincerely telling all this, I don' t know what we would have
- 18:42done if it wasn' t for this person. We were totally defeated,
- 18:47scared to death and trembling. It was practically a miracle. That night,
- 18:52something changed inside of us. I don' t think we did the same
- 18:56again. We never imagined you experienced anything so strong and unexpected, especially from
- 19:03someone my mom practically considered her friend, no doubt we could run into very
- 19:08bad people, with the worst intentions or worse, with many things to hide.
- 19:15This lady never showed her true side. It was always reserved with a
- 19:21somewhat chilling and very humorous appearance. But, ultimately, we never expected him
- 19:25to be a person who devoted himself to witchcraft and less than he wanted to
- 19:30hurt us. As we left the house and met Mr Jose and his shotgun,
- 19:36he tried to calm us down. He told us everything would be fine
- 19:38and that we could stay at his house. He mentioned to us that after
- 19:44the scare he scared the witch, he would hardly return. Anyway, he
- 19:48told us we should prepare for any circumstance. We went into his house and
- 19:56taught us that we should put a mirror on a table, place them up
- 20:00and put scissors on a cross over him, that that would be a great
- 20:04remedy to prevent her from coming back after all that had happened. What else
- 20:10did it cost us to believe that if that was true, we decided to
- 20:15listen to him and we did. We couldn' t sleep and, to
- 20:18be honest, I think it took me a couple of nights to do it.
- 20:22We spent the whole night talking about Mr We tried to have a tea
- 20:26or, some remedy that would make us lose our scare. As soon as
- 20:32it dawned, we tried to communicate with my dad As I said, the
- 20:36signal was not very good and we had had many failed attempts. We couldn
- 20:41' t explain anything. On the phone, my mom told him it was
- 20:45an emergency situation that I had to come back immediately. That same day,
- 20:48my dad was coming back at night, but evidently, listening to my mom
- 20:52so nervous, he decided to come back earlier. My dad came back and
- 20:57we felt a great deal of tranquility when we saw him. We feel protected.
- 21:02The three of us hugged him and we cried. We told him everything
- 21:06that had happened and it was clear that at first he did not believe us
- 21:11too much, but seeing all our actions and listening to what Mr Joseph had
- 21:15to say he believed us. When we returned home, we realized that there
- 21:18was a very strange figure at the door. It happened like the subject of
- 21:22the vase was something that a day before wasn' t there. He showed
- 21:27up out of nowhere. My mom asked my dad to leave, she didn
- 21:30' t want to spend another night there, and obviously we don' t
- 21:36either. It took my dad a couple of days to anticipate at work that
- 21:40he couldn' t be in town anymore. He got us out of school.
- 21:45It was a regular thing. After a few nights when nothing strange happened
- 21:49and, of course, I would no longer return to the lady, we
- 21:53decided to end this chapter of our lives. We left. We came out
- 22:00of there with a pretty strong story and a great lesson. We learned to
- 22:04be stronger, to be more united and, above all, to not trust
- 22:08anyone and to choose our friendships better, because we never know what we can
- 22:14meet. Anonymous account
