Transcript
- 0:08Speaker 1: Welcome into another episode of Inside the Charge. Running back
- 0:12Speaker 1: Ray Davis over here. I'm Maddie Glab. Happy to be
- 0:16Speaker 1: back with you guys coming off of a week one victory. Ray,
- 0:21Speaker 1: what a first game. I mean, remember to last year
- 0:25Speaker 1: first game? It was a crazy game. Week one, 2026.
- 0:29Speaker 1: is crazy as well. Eight lead changes. It went down
- 0:33Speaker 1: to the final play as a team. What did you notice.
- 0:38Speaker 2: About the personality of your teammates on the sideline?
- 0:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, that's something we practice every day, being
- 0:44Speaker 3: in those situations where two-minute drill, got to get a touchdown,
- 0:48Speaker 3: got to get a field goal, whatever the case may be.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Joe puts us in those scenarios, and nobody flinches. Nobody
- 0:56Speaker 3: thinks the moment's too big. You just play the.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Next play, and whatever happens, happens, and you just.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Keep it going.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Through a game like that, though, that had four lead
- 1:07Speaker 1: changes in the fourth quarter alone, stuff is hitting the fan.
- 1:10Speaker 1: It's crazy. There's a lot of communication happening. There's a
- 1:14Speaker 1: lot of belief that you have to put in yourself
- 1:17Speaker 1: as a player. What happens on the sidelines in moments
- 1:21Speaker 1: like that?
- 1:22Speaker 3: And you just the moment's not too big like you
- 1:25Speaker 3: just sit back and you let things kind of handle
- 1:27Speaker 3: itself you know you can't predetermine things you can't predetermine
- 1:31Speaker 3: if you know that throw or that catch or that
- 1:34Speaker 3: run's going to be the deciding factor I think you
- 1:36Speaker 3: look at it's just a preparation like Josh Palmer and
- 1:39Speaker 3: Josh Allen they practice that route every day after practice
- 1:43Speaker 3: for moments like that right so it's just understanding that
- 1:46Speaker 3: the moment's not big and it's something you did every
- 1:48Speaker 3: day and now it's like to the world it's like
- 1:51Speaker 3: oh my god like They just won.
- 1:53Speaker 4: But to us, it's like we're made for those moments.
- 1:56Speaker 4: We practice those moments.
- 1:57Speaker 3: We envision us winning games like that where it may
- 2:01Speaker 3: come down to the wire. It may be a blowout.
- 2:03Speaker 4: You never know. But, again, staying true to yourself and
- 2:06Speaker 4: staying true.
- 2:07Speaker 3: To the play that's called and running the route that
- 2:09Speaker 3: you're supposed to run, and good things happen.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Josh Palmer, great things happen.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Great things happen to Josh Palmer, but talk about going
- 2:16Speaker 1: from the play before to having the game winning catch
- 2:21Speaker 1: the play before Josh Palmer's catch was almost intercepted. And
- 2:25Speaker 1: you decide to go right back to that receiver who mistake,
- 2:30Speaker 1: but then you're like, I believe in this guy to
- 2:32Speaker 1: do it again.
- 2:33Speaker 2: That's pretty wild.
- 2:36Speaker 3: It's the belief comes through.
- 2:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:37Speaker 3: It's the belief that Joe has in us, but I
- 2:39Speaker 3: think it's also the belief of what Josh Allen has
- 2:41Speaker 3: in his receivers, right? Like, you know, any other situation,
- 2:45Speaker 3: maybe someone's like, ah, okay, I can't throw it to him.
- 2:47Speaker 4: I got to find someone else.
- 2:48Speaker 3: But it just shows again, the preparation that they work
- 2:51Speaker 3: on every day.
- 2:52Speaker 4: And you built that.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Trust with Josh and, He's never going to go away
- 2:56Speaker 3: from you. He's always going to hype you up. He's
- 2:57Speaker 3: always going to tell you, hey, next play, I might
- 2:59Speaker 3: come back to you.
- 3:00Speaker 4: So be ready.
- 3:01Speaker 2: That's true.
- 3:01Speaker 1: And shout out to Josh Palmer for being between two defenders,
- 3:05Speaker 1: getting that inside leverage and getting just enough space to
- 3:08Speaker 1: make that catch. So happy to see him healthy and
- 3:12Speaker 1: thriving to start off the season. I know he battled
- 3:15Speaker 1: through multiple injuries last year that a lot of the
- 3:18Speaker 1: public didn't even know about until after the season. And
- 3:21Speaker 1: then he revealed it was like, oh my gosh, you
- 3:24Speaker 1: were on the field still working through like three injuries.
- 3:27Speaker 1: So I'm so happy for him. Can't wait to see
- 3:30Speaker 1: what he has in store this season.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Who's the hype man on the sidelines when, when a
- 3:35Speaker 2: game is tight?
- 3:36Speaker 3: Ooh, I mean, you got to start with CJ Gardner.
- 3:40Speaker 3: CJ is always going to be the hype man. One,
- 3:42Speaker 3: it was, it was his previous team. So He definitely
- 3:45Speaker 3: has some added juice there, but I'd say CJ, shockingly,
- 3:50Speaker 3: everybody on the offense is very calm.
- 3:54Speaker 6: Okay.
- 3:55Speaker 3: But if you look closely, Jimbo never sits down. Jimbo's
- 3:59Speaker 3: always walking around.
- 4:00Speaker 4: He has to go.
- 4:01Speaker 2: He's always been like that.
- 4:03Speaker 3: From my time here, he's always been like that.
- 4:06Speaker 6: He'll tell you that.
- 4:06Speaker 4: He doesn't sit down.
- 4:08Speaker 3: He's coasting back and forth, but he's doing it in
- 4:10Speaker 3: a way where he's hyping up the defense, and then
- 4:12Speaker 3: he's talking to the offense, and then he's just constantly
- 4:14Speaker 3: giving his energy. When the defense is on, when they're
- 4:17Speaker 3: on the field, Jimbo's locked in watching. So I guess
- 4:21Speaker 3: you could say that's a hype man in a way
- 4:22Speaker 3: because when you see him pacing, you know that's a
- 4:24Speaker 3: good thing.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Is that opposite of what you would expect from Jimbo
- 4:29Speaker 1: to be that type of hype man on the sidelines?
- 4:32Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 4:33Speaker 2: I mean, I've been around Jimbo.
- 4:35Speaker 3: You know James Cook.
- 4:35Speaker 2: You know him.
- 4:36Speaker 3: I don't know him too much.
- 4:38Speaker 4: I know the little bit that I do know.
- 4:40Speaker 2: You know him more than me and everybody watching this podcast, right?
- 4:43Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. I don't know him too much, but it's definitely.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Cool to see.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it's part of his play style.
- 4:49Speaker 1: We've seen that from him on the sidelines in the
- 4:51Speaker 1: past couple years, like you noted.
- 4:54Speaker 2: We also got to talk about Joe Brady.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Getting his first win as the Bills head coach you
- 5:00Speaker 1: saw that fire in him after the game ended and
- 5:04Speaker 1: he fist pumped his headset goes almost flying because he's
- 5:08Speaker 1: celebrating uh and just knowing the game that he called
- 5:12Speaker 1: for his offense trusting his defense to go out there
- 5:15Speaker 1: and win it what did you see out of his
- 5:17Speaker 1: demeanor throughout the game.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Right just Joe Brady being Joe Brady man and and
- 5:22Speaker 3: uh you know he had belief in himself and belief
- 5:24Speaker 3: in us to go out there and get that W
- 5:25Speaker 3: and That's a special thing when, again, everybody in the
- 5:31Speaker 3: organization believes in themselves and believes in the next person
- 5:34Speaker 3: next to them.
- 5:35Speaker 1: We're going to talk about special teams on this podcast
- 5:37Speaker 1: because that is an important phase of the game. You
- 5:40Speaker 1: play in that phase as a kick returner. Greg Dortch
- 5:43Speaker 1: was also back there returning punts. How would you evaluate
- 5:48Speaker 1: the return game overall against the Texans?
- 5:51Speaker 3: I think special teams overall, not just the return game.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Special teams overall as a unit. When you got Sam
- 5:59Speaker 3: Franklin getting doubled on kickoff, that's a respect to him.
- 6:03Speaker 3: They should be doubling Joe Andreessen too because he almost
- 6:06Speaker 3: led the NFL in tackles as a special teams guy
- 6:09Speaker 3: last year. So when you got those two guys working
- 6:11Speaker 3: hand-in-hand and feeding off each other, making our kickoff unit amazing.
- 6:16Speaker 3: You know, reversed that Tommy. Tommy had a great punt
- 6:18Speaker 3: that pinned those guys. What, almost at the five?
- 6:20Speaker 2: At the four.
- 6:21Speaker 3: At the four, right.
- 6:22Speaker 4: And, again, that's a rookie and a big moment, right? So,
- 6:25Speaker 4: shout out to Tommy.
- 6:26Speaker 3: And then, obviously, the return game, Greg Dortch started off
- 6:29Speaker 3: with a great return. Getting us, I want to say,
- 6:31Speaker 3: to the mid-30s. And then, I think, get another one
- 6:33Speaker 3: around the 40s. So, just seeing how electrifying he is
- 6:37Speaker 3: and having a counterpart like that where, again, if they
- 6:40Speaker 3: don't want.
- 6:40Speaker 4: To kick it to me, well, you got to kick
- 6:42Speaker 4: it to Greg. And Greg's very explosive himself.
- 6:44Speaker 1: If they don't want to kick it to me, Ray,
- 6:46Speaker 1: that's something you have to deal with this season.
- 6:49Speaker 2: What's your approach early on with that?
- 6:51Speaker 3: You know, hoping that Greg continues to have success so
- 6:55Speaker 3: then they have to eventually come back to me.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Even the playing field.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Even playing.
- 6:59Speaker 3: But it's scary kicking it to him. So if I'm
- 7:02Speaker 3: a special teams coordinator, it's kind of like you just
- 7:03Speaker 3: got to pick your poison, right?
- 7:06Speaker 4: And it's going to be a hard day for you.
- 7:09Speaker 1: We're looking forward to seeing much more explosive returns out
- 7:12Speaker 1: of you. And Greg, this season, we also have to
- 7:16Speaker 1: recap that defensive performance because, man, oh, man, when the
- 7:22Speaker 1: game is on the line, they answered. They won it.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Joe Brady had a quote at the end of the game,
- 7:27Speaker 1: which I thought was awesome. He said, I want our defense.
- 7:31Speaker 1: to be in those situations. And I want our defense
- 7:34Speaker 1: to want to end the game, to be the unit
- 7:37Speaker 1: that wins it for us. And Greg Russo does that
- 7:40Speaker 1: with a sack strip fumble with 16 seconds.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Left on the clock.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Third and goal, Houston had a chance to win it there.
- 7:46Speaker 1: But Greg Russo said, not so fast. Here I come
- 7:50Speaker 1: as an outside linebacker. Where were you at on the
- 7:54Speaker 1: sideline when that happened? And what was going on as
- 7:56Speaker 1: you watched that unfold?
- 7:58Speaker 3: Well, first let me go back to the comment that
- 8:00Speaker 3: I made last week when we shot, and we said
- 8:03Speaker 3: raise big plays.
- 8:03Speaker 4: What was it going to be?
- 8:05Speaker 3: And if we bring up that clip again, I said
- 8:08Speaker 3: the defense is going to get, again, raise big plays, right?
- 8:12Speaker 3: Because what Jim is doing is letting those guys play, man.
- 8:16Speaker 4: It looks like they're having fun. They're having some freedom
- 8:18Speaker 4: out there.
- 8:19Speaker 3: And, again, Greg stepping into an outside linebacker role works
- 8:22Speaker 3: well for him because he could do it all from
- 8:25Speaker 3: dropping in coverage. I think– I want to say third quarter,
- 8:28Speaker 3: he dropped in coverage, had a pass breakup.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Yes, he was like sideways flying through the air. I
- 8:32Speaker 2: was like, huh?
- 8:33Speaker 6: Yeah, you would have.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Never thought that.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Yeah, you would have never thought that. But yeah, so
- 8:38Speaker 3: he had that great play. And then obviously the strip sack,
- 8:40Speaker 3: he had a sack earlier in the strip.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Again, he's playing lights out right now. It's week one, right?
- 8:46Speaker 6: Obviously.
- 8:46Speaker 3: But I think he's.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Finding his groove.
- 8:49Speaker 3: I think he's feeling comfortable in his new role. And
- 8:50Speaker 3: then overall, everybody's just been popping it, right? Like Bradley
- 8:54Speaker 3: Chubb's in there. Deion Walker, Kentucky guy.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Can we talk about Deion Walker?
- 8:59Speaker 3: I'm telling you, man.
- 9:00Speaker 2: His feet are so fast.
- 9:02Speaker 1: That last sack that he had for a loss of
- 9:05Speaker 1: nine with like 25 seconds left to play, the way
- 9:07Speaker 1: he got off that block and had to travel up
- 9:11Speaker 1: the field to go get C.J. Stroud, I was in
- 9:14Speaker 1: awe watching that back. I know you know him from
- 9:17Speaker 1: his Kentucky days, so you might not be as in
- 9:20Speaker 1: awe as I am, but.
- 9:23Speaker 3: It might be the water in Kentucky. I don't know. We, we,
- 9:26Speaker 3: we breed some dogs, right? Like we breed some dogs.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Six, seven, 330 pounds. He's just like trucking dudes.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Trucking dudes. And then you've got a corner on a four, two,
- 9:36Speaker 3: eight out there. Max balling.
- 9:37Speaker 6: Yes.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Being able to strap up guys. So, um, it's, it's
- 9:41Speaker 3: definitely cool to see. I've seen it again in college.
- 9:44Speaker 3: I've seen it in the NFL. Now I'm happy for
- 9:46Speaker 3: both of those guys. I'm happy for Dion, but he
- 9:48Speaker 3: played a great game. Defense overall played a great game. Um,
- 9:52Speaker 3: But I think one of my many awards, not a segment,
- 9:55Speaker 3: many awards has to go to CB, Christian Bedford.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Okay, which award? are we giving him? Are we doing
- 10:01Speaker 2: Ray Day's.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Big play right now? It's more just giving him.
- 10:04Speaker 2: His props, man. Okay, we're giving flowers.
- 10:05Speaker 3: He was giving flowers, being on the receiver one, Nico Collins,
- 10:08Speaker 3: and he had a long day with him. But, again,
- 10:10Speaker 3: he was victorious throughout the day, so shout out to CB.
- 10:13Speaker 3: I didn't get to tell him that after the game,
- 10:15Speaker 3: so this is my time telling you, shout out to UCB.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I'm glad you mentioned a player like Christian Benford because
- 10:20Speaker 1: Nico Collins did have some catches in that game. And
- 10:24Speaker 1: as a cornerback, you're going to go up against some
- 10:26Speaker 1: of the best wide receivers in the game every single
- 10:29Speaker 1: year because there are so many of them. But to
- 10:32Speaker 1: not back down from a challenge like that and come
- 10:34Speaker 1: out victorious at the end, I think says a lot
- 10:36Speaker 1: about just.
- 10:37Speaker 2: His mentality throughout the entire game.
- 10:39Speaker 1: 100%.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Okay, should we get into Ray Day's big plays here?
- 10:43Speaker 3: Yeah, we can get it to Ray Day's Big Play.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Or do you want to do the other one first?
- 10:47Speaker 3: Huh?
- 10:47Speaker 2: You want to do the other one first or Ray
- 10:49Speaker 2: Day Big Play?
- 10:50Speaker 3: We can go Ray Day's Big Play.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Okay, Ray Day's Big Play.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Theme music. We need like a theme song for this.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Yeah, well, we got to do like a whole, yeah.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Should we buy an award like we did last year,
- 11:00Speaker 1: Trey and I, for Trey's Dog of the Week? I
- 11:04Speaker 1: bought a dog, like a little trophy on Amazon. I
- 11:09Speaker 1: can buy a little Ray Day's Trophy of the Week.
- 11:11Speaker 1: You can hand it out every week. You like that idea?
- 11:13Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's three plays, so we've got to figure
- 11:16Speaker 3: it out.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So maybe that's for the.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Other award that we'll reveal next.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Yeah, other award, yeah.
- 11:20Speaker 6: Okay.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Ray Day's big plays.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Ray Day's big plays.
- 11:23Speaker 3: First on Ray Day's big plays, we have to go
- 11:26Speaker 3: to Josh Allen, DJ Moore Connection. We had a– I'm
- 11:31Speaker 3: not going to give out the play, but DJ's right there,
- 11:35Speaker 3: cover two. Josh puts the ball where only DJ can
- 11:38Speaker 3: catch it. Sideline, toe tap, stays and bounce. Takes it
- 11:43Speaker 3: to the crib. You see me and Khalil running around
- 11:45Speaker 3: doing some airplane with him. So that goes first play
- 11:49Speaker 3: off rip. Got to give that to DJ and Josh.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Second play is like you were just talking about my guy,
- 11:56Speaker 3: Deion Walker. Feet up the field. Gets the sack in
- 12:00Speaker 3: a very pivotal moment. And to finish it off, have
- 12:03Speaker 3: to stay on the defensive side. Greg Russo.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Greg Russo.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Greg Russo.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Stepping up, making the sack, strip, fumble, 16 seconds, game over.
- 12:17Speaker 4: Those are my three big plays.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Love those guys.
- 12:21Speaker 2: You picked three good ones.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Three great ones.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Two defensive, one offensive. It was fun to see all
- 12:27Speaker 1: three players come to life. DJ Moore, when I was
- 12:30Speaker 1: watching him throughout the game, I said this on the
- 12:31Speaker 1: radio earlier today, I was just, like, thinking he was
- 12:34Speaker 1: the smoothest operator out there. He just plays smooth, doesn't
- 12:39Speaker 1: look too big for him.
- 12:40Speaker 2: It looks easy. I feel like he has such great.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Spatial awareness of the field, knowing where to be, knowing
- 12:46Speaker 1: where to sit in zones, knowing how to have an
- 12:48Speaker 1: advantage against defenders.
- 12:49Speaker 6: I was.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I was really happy with what I saw.
- 12:54Speaker 3: He's like a silent assassin. He doesn't talk much on
- 12:57Speaker 3: the sideline. He's just DJ Moore.
- 13:00Speaker 2: He's just DJ Moore. We get to watch it all season.
- 13:04Speaker 3: It's exciting.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Ray Day's Big Play is brought to you by Ray.
- 13:09Speaker 1: We got another segment we want to introduce to the people.
- 13:14Speaker 1: We're calling it Super Ray.
- 13:18Speaker 3: This is me flying through the sky right now. and
- 13:21Speaker 3: I'm landing, and I'm taking my cape off, right? And
- 13:24Speaker 3: I'm giving my cape away to an individual who deserves
- 13:27Speaker 3: the cape of the day. And that cape of the
- 13:30Speaker 3: day goes to, drumroll please, Josh Palmer.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I thought you were going to say Josh Allen, Josh Palmer!
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yes, Josh Allen, but that's Josh Allen's thing.
- 13:41Speaker 4: That's normal.
- 13:42Speaker 3: That's video game numbers for Josh Allen.
- 13:46Speaker 4: That's like a normal day.
- 13:47Speaker 3: But the reason why I say Palmer is because it
- 13:49Speaker 3: goes back to, again, what he dealt with last year,
- 13:52Speaker 3: playing through those injuries, deserving of this moment. And all
- 13:56Speaker 3: he waited was to show the world why he is
- 13:59Speaker 3: still Josh Palmer, why he deserves to be the guy
- 14:02Speaker 3: that was brought in to be the guy. And biggest
- 14:07Speaker 3: play of the game. Go and get the W for us.
- 14:09Speaker 3: So my cape and my salute goes to Josh Palmer.
- 14:12Speaker 4: I love you, my guy.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I'm happy you were able to do what you did.
- 14:15Speaker 4: You are the Super Ray.
- 14:16Speaker 6: Of the day.
- 14:17Speaker 1: That was his first catch of the game. First catch
- 14:20Speaker 1: of the game. Game-winning touchdown. Josh Allen said, stay ready
- 14:24Speaker 1: so you don't have to get ready. And that's what
- 14:26Speaker 1: Josh Palmer did in that game.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 14:28Speaker 1: And to have the mental awareness to.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Go through a play before that where the ball almost
- 14:36Speaker 1: gets intercepted and know I'm just going to move on.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I'm not going to dwell on this. I believe in myself.
- 14:43Speaker 1: He said post game, I told myself I was going
- 14:45Speaker 1: to get the game winning touchdown and look at what happened.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Talking with Josh Palmer this offseason, he told me I
- 14:52Speaker 1: really worked on my mentality this offseason. That's one thing
- 14:55Speaker 1: that I wanted to perfect and get better at was,
- 14:58Speaker 1: you know, self-talk and believing in myself. He said that
- 15:02Speaker 1: he read, I think it was like Michael Jackson's autobiography
- 15:06Speaker 1: and said that he really just drew on the confidence
- 15:09Speaker 1: that Michael Jackson had and wanted to kind of bring
- 15:12Speaker 1: that to his game this year.
- 15:13Speaker 2: So I thought that was really cool. Nugget from Josh Palmer.
- 15:16Speaker 3: And that's why he gets to Cape of the Day.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Okay, final question for you before we get into our
- 15:24Speaker 1: Deion Dawkins interview that I did this week. Coming out
- 15:29Speaker 1: of a game like that, week one, what did you
- 15:32Speaker 1: take away from that game?
- 15:33Speaker 2: What did you.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Think about on the bus ride to the airport?
- 15:40Speaker 4: I don't know the history of, you know, Houston and
- 15:42Speaker 4: the Bills, right? I think it's been a minute since.
- 15:44Speaker 2: The first time the Bills won there since 2006.
- 15:46Speaker 3: 2006.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Yeah, dude.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Oh, I only thought it was 2018. Okay. It's been
- 15:52Speaker 3: 20 years. So, yeah, I think it was one of those, like,
- 15:57Speaker 3: sigh of relief a little bit of, like, we finally
- 15:59Speaker 3: got it done. We know what it takes to get
- 16:02Speaker 3: it done. And I think it was just a happy
- 16:05Speaker 3: moment for a lot of those guys, right? But, again,
- 16:07Speaker 3: it's week one. You got to go 1-0 each and
- 16:10Speaker 3: every day, so that game's over. You're back to being 0-0,
- 16:13Speaker 3: and you focus on the upcoming week. But, overall, I'm
- 16:17Speaker 3: happy for this. For the guys, for the organization, just because, again,
- 16:21Speaker 3: getting over that hump is never easy.
- 16:23Speaker 1: We have Deion Dawkins on the podcast next. Do you
- 16:26Speaker 1: have a fun Deion Dawkins story you want to share.
- 16:29Speaker 2: With the class?
- 16:30Speaker 3: It's not a funny story, but I think it's one
- 16:32Speaker 3: of those stories of how great the man is. My
- 16:36Speaker 3: rookie year, Deion works with the court system here, and
- 16:40Speaker 3: they were doing a graduation program for a lot of
- 16:42Speaker 3: kids who were getting out of the program that they
- 16:44Speaker 3: were in. And he invited me and giving me that
- 16:47Speaker 3: platform to go and speak to the kids and just
- 16:49Speaker 3: speak to the courthouse was pretty big because it just
- 16:51Speaker 3: showed that he knew what I came from and he
- 16:55Speaker 3: knew my words could be powerful to those who came
- 16:58Speaker 3: from similar situations.
- 16:59Speaker 6: Right.
- 16:59Speaker 3: So just seeing somebody like that who continues to want
- 17:02Speaker 3: to be a positive impact in the community and just
- 17:04Speaker 3: be the great person that he is. Shout out to D-Doc.
- 17:08Speaker 3: I know the interview was probably amazing.
- 17:10Speaker 2: It was. He was funny.
- 17:11Speaker 1: He was in a mood where he wanted to play
- 17:14Speaker 1: instead of answer questions, which that's what Deion Dawkins, his
- 17:18Speaker 1: mood is a lot of the time.
- 17:19Speaker 2: We're just having fun. So it made for a really
- 17:21Speaker 2: fun interview. So I hope you enjoy it. We'll be
- 17:23Speaker 2: right back. Deion, year 10 for you.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Wow, right?
- 17:27Speaker 1: My how time flies. What is the one thing in
- 17:31Speaker 1: your routine that's given you this type of longevity?
- 17:34Speaker 6: My own water. You're funny. I'm serious, though. Water.
- 17:38Speaker 2: You've been drinking your own waters for 10 years?
- 17:41Speaker 6: Oh, you said now.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:42Speaker 6: I didn't know that you meant the whole 10 years.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's given you this type of longevity.
- 17:46Speaker 5: Clear mind, being free, being true to who I am.
- 17:49Speaker 5: I don't try to be somebody like that I'm not.
- 17:52Speaker 5: And I think, and I truly think, when you try
- 17:54Speaker 5: to be somebody that you're not, it can weigh on
- 17:56Speaker 5: you mentally, physically. You can try to do things that
- 18:01Speaker 5: you're really not.
- 18:02Speaker 6: Capable of doing.
- 18:03Speaker 5: That's more so off the field and on. Myself, I've
- 18:08Speaker 5: just been true to me. I haven't tried to do
- 18:11Speaker 5: anything that's out of the ordinary, not Deion, not Snow.
- 18:16Speaker 5: And I think mentally, that's what's been keeping me crazy
- 18:23Speaker 5: but sane. But besides that, the football stuff, it's all
- 18:27Speaker 5: about the same. Everybody's strong in this league. Everybody's fast.
- 18:30Speaker 5: Everybody has a kind of good IQ. But besides that,
- 18:34Speaker 5: just keeping my mind clear of.
- 18:37Speaker 6: Not being fake, just being true to who I am.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Keeping you crazy, keeping you sane. There's like a meter
- 18:42Speaker 1: here between sane and crazy. Where are you at ahead
- 18:46Speaker 1: of this season on the meter?
- 18:48Speaker 6: Shoot, I'm right in the middle.
- 18:49Speaker 2: You're right in the middle. Right where you want to be.
- 18:51Speaker 6: But more so towards the crazy side.
- 18:52Speaker 2: You've got to be a little crazy.
- 18:54Speaker 6: I'm free. You know, I don't have no boundaries. It's
- 18:59Speaker 6: just be you. Be you with us, truly. And you
- 19:05Speaker 6: give me the free reign to be me. We all know.
- 19:09Speaker 2: You dropped weight this offseason.
- 19:10Speaker 6: Did I?
- 19:11Speaker 2: Why did you want to play lighter?
- 19:12Speaker 6: Bones, man.
- 19:13Speaker 5: It's like almost like I got tired of carrying around
- 19:17Speaker 5: like all that weight, extra pounds, you know, but what
- 19:21Speaker 5: I've learned is that like the older and what you get, obviously,
- 19:24Speaker 5: but your body changes. Like nobody wants to believe it, right?
- 19:28Speaker 5: Like everybody thinks that they're young forever. Like nobody like
- 19:30Speaker 5: wants to think like, and I'm good and I'm good,
- 19:33Speaker 5: but myself, I was like, but you know what, let
- 19:36Speaker 5: me change something before my body starts talking to me.
- 19:40Speaker 5: So I feel like I'm doing my body a favor by,
- 19:43Speaker 5: you know, doing this. And I'm one of the best
- 19:45Speaker 5: tackles in the world, right?
- 19:47Speaker 6: This is true.
- 19:48Speaker 5: Because I'm one of the best tackles in the world,
- 19:50Speaker 5: I want to remain one of the best tackles in
- 19:52Speaker 5: the world when I'm done. I don't want to, you know,
- 19:55Speaker 5: exit the game with, oh, yeah, he had a kind
- 19:58Speaker 5: of couple rough years at the end. I want to
- 20:00Speaker 5: end out on the top, you know, and not to
- 20:02Speaker 5: say that the end is anywhere near, but, you know,
- 20:05Speaker 5: just want to give my body a little token, which
- 20:08Speaker 5: is less weight.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Everybody loses weight differently. What was the easiest way for
- 20:12Speaker 1: it to come off for you?
- 20:13Speaker 6: Drinking water.
- 20:14Speaker 1: True.
- 20:15Speaker 6: I'm telling you, you drink water, you lose weight. And exercise.
- 20:19Speaker 6: And when I mean exercise, I would walk, box, swim
- 20:22Speaker 6: every day.
- 20:23Speaker 5: And the recipe to losing weight is literally eat less,
- 20:30Speaker 5: work out more.
- 20:31Speaker 6: Simple as that.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Calories in, calories out.
- 20:33Speaker 6: That's it.
- 20:34Speaker 5: There's no cheat code. If you want to lose weight,
- 20:36Speaker 5: I promise you, I can show you the right way.
- 20:38Speaker 5: Drink a lot of water. Drink a gallon and a
- 20:40Speaker 5: half a day. And don't eat a lot of food.
- 20:43Speaker 5: Eat a piece of grilled chicken, a piece of salmon,
- 20:45Speaker 5: and call it a day. You know, and drink a
- 20:48Speaker 5: gallon and a half of water. You should be peeing
- 20:51Speaker 5: all day long.
- 20:52Speaker 6: Literally.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Fun fact from Deion Dawkins.
- 20:55Speaker 6: Pee all day. What goes in must come out.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Deion Dawkins, the swimmer. Are we freestyling?
- 21:04Speaker 6: Freestyle.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Are we butterflying?
- 21:06Speaker 6: Nah. Come on.
- 21:09Speaker 5: I can butterfly, but I'm not a butterfly type of guy.
- 21:12Speaker 5: But freestyle is all day.
- 21:14Speaker 6: All day.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Backstroke?
- 21:15Speaker 6: You know, backstroke is kind of hard.
- 21:17Speaker 2: It is hard.
- 21:17Speaker 6: I got heavy calves. They sink. They sink.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Your calves are as big as my torso.
- 21:23Speaker 6: But freestyle, for real. Okay.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Freestyle. Lose some weight.
- 21:26Speaker 6: For sure. Freestyle snow.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Playing at a lighter weight.
- 21:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 21:31Speaker 1: How do you feel it showing up in practices?
- 21:35Speaker 5: I'm quicker. I'm definitely quicker. My body's not getting fatigued.
- 21:39Speaker 5: My legs don't feel heavy. You know, and I feel like,
- 21:43Speaker 5: I feel like I'm floating. You know, like I feel
- 21:47Speaker 5: like I'm floating. And then I trick in my mind. Like,
- 21:50Speaker 5: I'm like, bro, you were twice as heavy. This should
- 21:55Speaker 5: be easy.
- 21:56Speaker 6: And I make my mind think that it's easy, even
- 21:58Speaker 6: though it's still.
- 21:59Speaker 5: Hard, but.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Floating out there against some of the best defensive ends
- 22:03Speaker 1: in the league that you'll face this season.
- 22:05Speaker 6: Aren't they good?
- 22:06Speaker 2: Floating is going to help you, right?
- 22:08Speaker 6: Floating is going to help me, for sure. It's going
- 22:09Speaker 6: to help Josh. Give Josh some more time.
- 22:11Speaker 2: That's all he needs, one extra second.
- 22:15Speaker 6: One extra second is a long time. I was thinking
- 22:17Speaker 6: more of half a second.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Half a second?
- 22:18Speaker 6: No, for sure, a whole second. Maybe two or three.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Speaking of Josh Allen, you guys have been working together
- 22:24Speaker 1: now for nine years.
- 22:27Speaker 2: How does he still keep you on your toes?
- 22:30Speaker 6: Josh keeps us on our toes, man. How does he
- 22:32Speaker 6: keep us on our toes? I would say Josh.
- 22:36Speaker 5: Because you never know where Josh is going to be like,
- 22:38Speaker 5: like you never know what he's he's going to do
- 22:40Speaker 5: or where he's going to be at. Is he going
- 22:41Speaker 5: to run out of the pocket and do like some crazy?
- 22:44Speaker 5: Is he going to jump over somebody? Is he going
- 22:45Speaker 5: to run through somebody like what is he going to do?
- 22:48Speaker 5: So because Josh is on the field with pads on
- 22:51Speaker 5: our toes are already on.
- 22:53Speaker 6: Right.
- 22:53Speaker 5: He keeps us there all day long. You know, Josh
- 22:55Speaker 5: is just a wild factor of a quarterback. And, you know,
- 22:59Speaker 5: You just got to have your, what we would say
- 23:01Speaker 5: in the football world, like you got to just keep
- 23:03Speaker 5: your piss hot, you know.
- 23:05Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Why are you looking forward to seeing him in year nine?
- 23:10Speaker 5: It's a different type of Scali. We're all about to
- 23:12Speaker 5: see married Scali. It's the first year for married Scali.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Stuff is going to go down.
- 23:18Speaker 6: Stuff is going to go up.
- 23:19Speaker 5: Up.
- 23:20Speaker 6: And the ball is going to come down.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Didn't mean it as down. Meant like what's going on.
- 23:25Speaker 1: But stuff is about to go up.
- 23:26Speaker 6: For sure.
- 23:27Speaker 2: I like that.
- 23:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Excited for it.
- 23:30Speaker 6: Yeah, it's going to be lit. Scally, Scally, Scally. Can
- 23:32Speaker 6: you say Scally?
- 23:34Speaker 2: Scally. Scally.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Scally.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Scally.
- 23:38Speaker 6: Scally.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Scally.
- 23:44Speaker 6: Scally.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Scally.
- 23:46Speaker 6: There you go. Scally 17.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Learning things on this podcast.
- 23:49Speaker 6: Josh is really mean, throwing footballs up and catching touchdown. Oh, yeah,
- 23:54Speaker 6: I got it.
- 23:56Speaker 5: Catch me on the flow. You already snowed. Maddie and
- 23:59Speaker 5: Doc on the pod, you already know.
- 24:01Speaker 6: Listen. Tia. Oh, man. Snow 2-0.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Looking at your offensive line.
- 24:10Speaker 6: Quench your thirst.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Which one of your teammates grew the most this offseason?
- 24:15Speaker 6: Grew the most? Like got taller?
- 24:17Speaker 2: They're already tall, Dion.
- 24:19Speaker 6: What kind of grew? Like grew what?
- 24:20Speaker 2: Grew in their football expertise.
- 24:23Speaker 5: Osiris. Osiris, he just got paid. So he crossed that threshold.
- 24:28Speaker 5: You know, he came back and showed something different. So
- 24:31Speaker 5: I would say Saibo. Saibo's time.
- 24:34Speaker 2: A four-year contract extension.
- 24:36Speaker 6: How much you get?
- 24:36Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 24:38Speaker 6: A lot of cash. How much you get?
- 24:40Speaker 2: A lot of cash.
- 24:41Speaker 6: A lot of cash. How much you get?
- 24:43Speaker 2: A lot of cash.
- 24:43Speaker 6: A lot of cash.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Alec Anderson.
- 24:48Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 24:48Speaker 2: You'll be playing next to him this season.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 24:51Speaker 2: What did he do to earn that starting job?
- 24:54Speaker 6: Alec's a.
- 24:56Speaker 5: Alex is a workhorse. You know, he's just, Alex is
- 24:58Speaker 5: just as crazy as me. You know, he busted his
- 25:02Speaker 5: behind every play, communicated well, and played good ball, you know.
- 25:09Speaker 5: I'm proud of Alex. I'm proud of Alex. But the
- 25:12Speaker 5: test is now. First game is coming up. It's a
- 25:14Speaker 5: big one, as they all are. And, you know, Alex
- 25:17Speaker 5: is going to have to show us live bullets, which Alex.
- 25:22Speaker 6: Is perfectly fine.
- 25:24Speaker 1: You had the third annual car snow recently.
- 25:27Speaker 6: Did I?
- 25:28Speaker 2: What was the best part?
- 25:29Speaker 5: We got to drift in the parking lot. Drifting at
- 25:32Speaker 5: the stadium is crazy. So much fun. We had an
- 25:36Speaker 5: event at the stadium, right?
- 25:38Speaker 6: Family.
- 25:40Speaker 5: There was 32,000 square feet of kids zone, right? Bouncy houses,
- 25:46Speaker 5: ice cream, lemonade, kettle corn, popcorn. uh, cotton candy, like,
- 25:52Speaker 5: you know, like all that fun stuff, 32,000 square feet.
- 25:55Speaker 6: Right. And then the amount of cars that came out, right.
- 25:59Speaker 5: We had a motorcycle ride in the motorcycles, had a
- 26:02Speaker 5: meetup and drove in 25, like minutes away. There was
- 26:06Speaker 5: over 500 motorcycles that came in just on the right end,
- 26:12Speaker 5: the drifting aspect of it, the bills and trusted me,
- 26:17Speaker 5: which I'm glad that they do because they see how
- 26:19Speaker 5: beautiful of an event it was.
- 26:20Speaker 6: T-Pain got to come out.
- 26:22Speaker 5: My guy, Danny came from Dubai, you know, flew in
- 26:25Speaker 5: from Dubai just to drive.
- 26:27Speaker 2: It's pretty crazy.
- 26:28Speaker 6: You know, and a bunch of other drivers, right?
- 26:31Speaker 5: Like, you know, big Indian, like they, they, they ran
- 26:35Speaker 5: the drift pit and it was, it was just incredible.
- 26:38Speaker 6: Like when I mean incredible, it was incredible.
- 26:41Speaker 5: I got some real good people that support me and I'm,
- 26:44Speaker 5: and when I mean support me, They go over and beyond.
- 26:47Speaker 5: People put their own pockets into it without me even
- 26:51Speaker 5: knowing just to make sure that it was right.
- 26:53Speaker 6: And I'm forever thankful for real.
- 26:56Speaker 1: You got to drift with T-Pain.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:58Speaker 1: What is the difference between an NFL player drifting and
- 27:02Speaker 1: a rapper drifting?
- 27:04Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Didn't know there's different style out there.
- 27:07Speaker 5: You know, I'm going to say the difference is, but
- 27:10Speaker 5: I will hijack this. Payne, I'm sorry that I'm going
- 27:13Speaker 5: to copy you, but T-Pain has music in his car.
- 27:17Speaker 5: And he plays music the whole time.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Is that uncommon?
- 27:21Speaker 5: It's usually, like, not a thing. Because you're usually listening, like,
- 27:24Speaker 5: to the car. But he's blasting music. Like, he's spinning around,
- 27:28Speaker 5: and all you hear is.
- 27:30Speaker 3: I'm sprung.
- 27:32Speaker 2: She got me.
- 27:33Speaker 6: It is crazy. Got me doing. It's just lit. But, yeah,
- 27:37Speaker 6: T-Pain blasts his music. And besides that, nah, it's all
- 27:41Speaker 6: the same. Four tires.
- 27:43Speaker 5: Rear wheel spinning you know a lot of horsepower and
- 27:47Speaker 5: e-brake pulling tires.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Burning qb1 josh allen showed up to the car show
- 27:52Speaker 1: did he show brady.
- 27:53Speaker 2: What was his take on the event josh.
- 27:55Speaker 5: Had a good time yeah he was he was wild
- 27:58Speaker 5: josh was wild i'm beyond thankful when josh pulled up
- 28:04Speaker 5: because he texted me and he was texting me uh
- 28:06Speaker 5: like dion i'm gonna be there in eight minutes i
- 28:08Speaker 5: was like I'm like, he's.
- 28:11Speaker 6: Coming, he's coming.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Santa's here.
- 28:13Speaker 5: Man, I had everybody on full alert. I said, Josh
- 28:16Speaker 5: will be here in eight minutes. Clear out the VIP
- 28:17Speaker 5: right now. I want security on deck. Don't let nobody
- 28:20Speaker 5: touch him. Don't let anybody get in his face. Everybody
- 28:21Speaker 5: back up. Security, security, security.
- 28:23Speaker 6: Get ready. Josh Allen's coming.
- 28:24Speaker 5: And they were on it. Josh pulled up. He seen
- 28:28Speaker 5: me drift. I wanted to get him in the car, but,
- 28:30Speaker 5: you know, he played it safe.
- 28:32Speaker 6: Smart, but I'm a good driver.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Maybe next time.
- 28:34Speaker 6: Maybe next time.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Home opener is coming up.
- 28:37Speaker 1: As you think about the first game in new Highmark Stadium,
- 28:40Speaker 1: what do you envision that night feeling like?
- 28:44Speaker 6: Chaos. I can't wait.
- 28:47Speaker 5: I want it to be loud, loud, loud, loud, loud.
- 28:49Speaker 5: I want our stadium to have like that effect of
- 28:52Speaker 5: how people talk about Seattle Stadium, like how they talk
- 28:54Speaker 5: about how loud it is. I want people to look
- 28:57Speaker 5: at the Bills stadium and be like, bro, it's one
- 29:00Speaker 5: of the loudest or it is the loudest stadiums in
- 29:02Speaker 5: the country. And I want that effect. When people are
- 29:05Speaker 5: driving in, that they get that chill and.
- 29:08Speaker 6: You know, chaos. Chaos.
- 29:12Speaker 1: You close your eyes. You think about the season. You
- 29:14Speaker 1: think about the home games that are going to be
- 29:16Speaker 1: played in Highmark Stadium. What's going to happen in that
- 29:18Speaker 1: place this season?
- 29:19Speaker 6: A lot of wins. A lot of wins.
- 29:24Speaker 5: I asked Joe Brady for a favor, too. Like, you
- 29:26Speaker 5: know how, like, when you go to other stadiums, like
- 29:29Speaker 5: when we go to Houston, we're going to go to Houston.
- 29:32Speaker 5: We're going to come out on the field as the opponent, visitors,
- 29:36Speaker 5: and we're going to be forced to watch their entrances.
- 29:40Speaker 5: Number 51, number 55.
- 29:45Speaker 6: Your starting quarterback. Usually what we do, like we have
- 29:51Speaker 6: quick entrances, like ours is quick. <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>
- 29:56Speaker 6: Everybody runs out.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Take some time with it.
- 30:00Speaker 5: I think for the stadium that we have across the street,
- 30:03Speaker 5: it needs to be.
- 30:06Speaker 6: Fire, smoke, like real experience, you know.
- 30:11Speaker 2: You guys deserve it.
- 30:12Speaker 6: Like we got Josh Allen as a quarterback.
- 30:14Speaker 2: We got Deion Dawkins as a left tackle.
- 30:16Speaker 6: We got Dawkins.
- 30:17Speaker 5: You know, like let the fans really see why Buffalo
- 30:21Speaker 5: ain't just like, it ain't Buffalo.
- 30:23Speaker 6: This is not that anymore. It's a real place, like
- 30:26Speaker 6: a real, real lit place. For real. And we're going
- 30:28Speaker 6: to show up and show out. And put on a show.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Small market who?
- 30:32Speaker 6: Small market who?
- 30:34Speaker 2: Top five, top three.
- 30:35Speaker 6: Top, top, top, top, top five, top five, top five, right?
- 30:38Speaker 2: Drake's coming.
- 30:39Speaker 6: Drake's coming.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Oh, are you breaking some news?
- 30:41Speaker 6: Yeah, Drake is coming, man. Drake is coming. You know
- 30:46Speaker 6: what I'm saying? Home opener. You're going to see Drake
- 30:49Speaker 6: in Dark Suite.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Ooh.
- 30:50Speaker 6: Sick, sick, sick, sick, sick. I'm telling you.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Putting the world on notice?
- 30:54Speaker 6: World on notice.
- 30:55Speaker 2: All right. I'll be looking.
- 30:58Speaker 1: I'll be like, No, I'll be looking for your cute
- 31:01Speaker 1: kids in the suite.
- 31:02Speaker 2: That's what I'll be looking for.
- 31:03Speaker 6: They'll be in there with Drake. Pulling on him and stuff. Truthy.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Are you Mr.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Drake?
- 31:12Speaker 6: Can you sing us a song?
- 31:15Speaker 2: Dion, thanks for the time.
- 31:17Speaker 6: For sure.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Always great with you.
- 31:18Speaker 6: Love.
- 31:18Speaker 3: All right.
- 31:19Speaker 6: Ciao.
- 31:19Speaker 2: See you later. We're back here on Inside the Charge.
- 31:23Speaker 1: We got to talk best fits from week one because
- 31:26Speaker 1: the boys were bringing it.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Best fits.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Best fit.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Who had them?
- 31:31Speaker 3: This guy by the name of Ray Davis.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Ray Davis.
- 31:34Speaker 4: I think he had the best fit on.
- 31:36Speaker 3: St.
- 31:36Speaker 4: Vanity.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Unreleased.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Burgundy set.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Yeah, unreleased. The Dior shoes.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I thought those were Dior shoes. I wanted to double
- 31:44Speaker 1: check with you. They looked like Dior shoes.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Dior shoes.
- 31:47Speaker 2: They looked really nice.
- 31:48Speaker 3: I guess a second place runner up if I had
- 31:51Speaker 3: to choose.
- 31:52Speaker 6: Okay.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Which I didn't really get to see a lot of
- 31:55Speaker 3: people's fit. I'm going to have to say my counter partner,
- 31:59Speaker 3: James Cook. Okay.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Came very trimmed. Black coat.
- 32:02Speaker 2: All black everything.
- 32:03Speaker 4: All black everything.
- 32:04Speaker 3: I wanted to see if he had the Prada shoes on.
- 32:07Speaker 2: I think he had Prada shoes.
- 32:09Speaker 3: It gave me business, business vibe, right? So I got
- 32:12Speaker 3: to go with my.
- 32:12Speaker 4: Counterpart, Jimbo.
- 32:13Speaker 3: And then third, Max. Max. Max always throws.
- 32:19Speaker 2: That stuff on though. He had a shirt that said,
- 32:20Speaker 2: I love me on it, I think.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Was it his Uno brand shirt?
- 32:23Speaker 3: I don't know if it was his Uno brand.
- 32:24Speaker 1: That's what I was trying to see. But speaking of
- 32:27Speaker 1: Uno brand, one of the fits that I liked... Our guy,
- 32:30Speaker 1: Christian Benford, was head-to-toe Uno brand.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Oh, yes, he did.
- 32:33Speaker 2: He had the white with the orange, and then he
- 32:35Speaker 2: had the gray.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Yeah, the orange block, long sleeve, and then he had
- 32:38Speaker 1: gray Uno pants.
- 32:40Speaker 2: He was rocking it.
- 32:41Speaker 1: And then he had the Saucony shoes, which are probably
- 32:44Speaker 1: collabed with the designer brand.
- 32:46Speaker 2: I couldn't see exactly. Oh, man, I'm about to go
- 32:48Speaker 2: back and look for a fit. They looked cool as well.
- 32:49Speaker 1: They were like orange shoes. So I thought Christian Benford
- 32:52Speaker 1: brought it. um, another fit I liked, I believe it
- 32:56Speaker 1: was Sam Franklin had like the green flashy Prada set.
- 32:59Speaker 3: I didn't even see, see these, we all come in
- 33:01Speaker 3: like different buses. So it's like all the best dressed
- 33:04Speaker 3: people go like the third or third bus. Cause you know,
- 33:07Speaker 3: they want the pictures and they want everybody to see
- 33:09Speaker 3: them walk in. But I really believe the first bus
- 33:12Speaker 3: people have that stuff on.
- 33:14Speaker 1: You know, you know, a guy who's best dressed too. I'm,
- 33:17Speaker 1: I'm joking here. I love how Frank Gore just walks
- 33:20Speaker 1: in in Bill's gear. You've got to give props to
- 33:23Speaker 1: the guys who are just like, I don't have time
- 33:25Speaker 1: to figure out what I'm going to wear. I'm just
- 33:27Speaker 1: going to wear Bill's stuff.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Don't let Frank fool you, though. His closet is very,
- 33:30Speaker 3: very long. Frank, don't let Frank fool you.
- 33:33Speaker 6: He'll be throwing it on.
- 33:34Speaker 4: I've been out with Frank once in a while.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Okay.
- 33:36Speaker 2: All right, Frank. We'll see what you do for week two.
- 33:39Speaker 2: We'll keep tabs on you.
- 33:41Speaker 1: We know we got a home opener against the Detroit
- 33:45Speaker 1: Lions on Thursday night. Amazon is coming in here to
- 33:47Speaker 1: do the broadcast. First game in Highmark Stadium. Ray, when
- 33:52Speaker 1: you close your eyes and you think about it, what
- 33:54Speaker 1: do you imagine that game being?
- 33:58Speaker 3: Ray Davis or Greg Dortch taking back a kickoff return.
- 34:00Speaker 3: That's one big one for sure that's in the head.
- 34:04Speaker 3: But I think it's going to be a crazy day,
- 34:06Speaker 3: crazy night.
- 34:08Speaker 4: Every fan.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Family, sister, cousin, auntie, grab them, bring them to the game,
- 34:15Speaker 3: and let them see what a real Buffalo Bills Mafia
- 34:18Speaker 3: experience is like.
- 34:19Speaker 1: It's going to be lit.
- 34:19Speaker 4: Because it's going to be crazy.
- 34:20Speaker 3: That's lit. You said lit.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:23Speaker 3: Dang, that took me back.
- 34:24Speaker 4: Even though I'm not that, but that lit was crazy.
- 34:26Speaker 4: But bring the family. It's going to be a great time.
- 34:28Speaker 3: I think it's going to be beautiful because a lot
- 34:31Speaker 3: of people are going to get the experience. a new
- 34:34Speaker 3: like a new vibe right we sadly we left high
- 34:37Speaker 3: mark and now we're in something new so you get
- 34:41Speaker 3: to just start that new memory with a family member
- 34:43Speaker 3: a loved one a partner whatever it is it's just
- 34:46Speaker 3: one of those moments that you you won't forget you.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Got family and friends showing up for home opener.
- 34:51Speaker 3: No man those tickets are too expensive they're they're a
- 34:54Speaker 3: little expensive so i told the family We're paying for
- 34:57Speaker 3: YouTube TV.
- 34:58Speaker 4: You better use it.
- 34:59Speaker 3: Use YouTube TV.
- 35:00Speaker 2: You enjoy it from home.
- 35:01Speaker 4: And Amazon. Whatever we got, we're paying for those streaming services.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Go watch it on there.
- 35:08Speaker 2: I like that mindset, Ray. LOL.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Your family will be coming in later for games, I'm sure.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. A little later when them tickets start going down.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. That's just the Bills Mafia effect right there.
- 35:19Speaker 3: That's true.
- 35:20Speaker 1: You know the stadium well. You've been in the player
- 35:24Speaker 1: facilities a bunch. What is one thing that Highmark Stadium
- 35:29Speaker 1: has that no other stadium you've been in.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Has? I like our weight room kind of vibe set
- 35:40Speaker 3: where it's half turf and half weight room. I think
- 35:42Speaker 3: it gives you that ability where, you know, maybe if
- 35:44Speaker 3: you don't want to go outside, immediately you just start
- 35:46Speaker 3: warming up or, you know, be distracted by the fans
- 35:49Speaker 3: or whatever the case may be.
- 35:50Speaker 4: You have that area where it's quiet.
- 35:52Speaker 3: It's to yourself, whether you want to get a quick
- 35:55Speaker 3: pump in, whether you just want to be there, lights
- 35:57Speaker 3: off and just envision what the game's going to be like.
- 36:00Speaker 4: I think that's a great area to have. Our tubs
- 36:05Speaker 4: are amazing.
- 36:06Speaker 3: We've got three tubs, a long hot tub, cold tub,
- 36:10Speaker 3: and then a whirlpool tub.
- 36:11Speaker 4: So that's the best part. Training room's outstanding.
- 36:15Speaker 2: You a hot tub, cold tub guy?
- 36:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 36:17Speaker 1: You got to do that.
- 36:17Speaker 2: You rotate after the game?
- 36:19Speaker 3: Heck yeah.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Sauna too?
- 36:20Speaker 4: Steam room as well? I'm a steam room guy.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Sauna, dry heat, steam. I feel like it just gets
- 36:26Speaker 3: the job done.
- 36:27Speaker 2: So what's the rotation after the game? Game ends. What
- 36:31Speaker 2: do you do in terms of rehab?
- 36:33Speaker 3: Oh, Eppensaw Bath. Okay, first thing.
- 36:35Speaker 4: The Jordan Poyer way, though.
- 36:36Speaker 3: What's the Jordan Poyer way? He has about... So many
- 36:41Speaker 3: Epsom salts, I freaking forget, the hydroproxide, the other one,
- 36:49Speaker 3: and then he does a combination of sometimes 10 minutes in,
- 36:51Speaker 3: 5 minutes out.
- 36:53Speaker 4: It's a whole thing, but I do the Jordan Porter way.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Okay, so you do that, and then what do you
- 36:56Speaker 2: do after? You jump to a hot tub, cold tub?
- 36:58Speaker 3: Hot tub, cold tub, take a shower, go home, sit
- 37:01Speaker 3: on my couch, and probably knock out.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Wow, I like it. Sounds like a good post-game routine.
- 37:07Speaker 4: Great post-game. Maybe on my way out, grab me a
- 37:09Speaker 4: Jersey Mike's.
- 37:10Speaker 3: That's what I might do.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Ooh, yum.
- 37:12Speaker 3: Okay.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Ray, appreciate the time. Always fun chatting with you. Can't
- 37:16Speaker 1: wait for a week two game against the Detroit Lions.
- 37:19Speaker 2: We'll see you guys soon.
