- 0:23Speaker 1: we are active everywhere. You type in Clay Travis on
- 0:26Speaker 1: pretty much any social media platform and you will see me.
- 0:29Speaker 1: So thank you for all of that. Diving into the
- 0:31Speaker 1: college football weekend that was, NFL weekend that was, many
- 0:36Speaker 1: different stories out there to cover. Let's begin with the
- 0:40Speaker 1: chaos that has officially set in in college football, where
- 0:44Speaker 1: we now have only three remaining undefeated teams in power
- 0:49Speaker 1: conference leagues. We have Utah in the Big 12, Miami
- 0:53Speaker 1: in the ACC, and UCLA in the Big 10. Everybody
- 0:58Speaker 1: else has at least one loss. Many different teams out
- 1:01Speaker 1: there have two losses. So we had Texas Tech go
- 1:05Speaker 1: on the road and lose at Cincinnati to knock out
- 1:08Speaker 1: one unbeaten team. We had BYU on the road against
- 1:12Speaker 1: Central Florida lose as well the week after the huge
- 1:16Speaker 1: win they had over Notre Dame. And as a result,
- 1:20Speaker 1: I have got the perfect 10 mortgage, perfect 10. These
- 1:25Speaker 1: are my 10 best teams coming into college football as
- 1:29Speaker 1: we get ready for a Halloween edition, a spooktacular version
- 1:34Speaker 1: of college football. I got Miami number one overall. Miami
- 1:37Speaker 1: dominated Pitt. We'll get into that game here in a moment.
- 1:41Speaker 1: to remain undefeated I've got Georgia second overall I know
- 1:45Speaker 1: they lost the game to Auburn and are on by
- 1:48Speaker 1: this week as they get ready for the cocktail party
- 1:50Speaker 1: which is actually going to be played now in Atlanta
- 1:53Speaker 1: because they are redoing the Jacksonville Stadium I've got UCLA
- 1:58Speaker 1: number three overall and Bob Chesney is by far, I think,
- 2:03Speaker 1: the best coach in college football, the best story in
- 2:06Speaker 1: college football, as they dominated Michigan State over the weekend.
- 2:10Speaker 1: They've got Nevada this weekend, which will likely get them
- 2:12Speaker 1: to 8-0. I've got Utah, number four overall first-year head
- 2:16Speaker 1: coach out there, got the win over Houston.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Sporting State was at that game.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Ohio State in the five spot, the most intriguing game
- 2:25Speaker 1: to me of the weekend coming up. Ohio State headed
- 2:28Speaker 1: out to UCLA, sorry, out to LA to play against
- 2:33Speaker 1: USC after USC dropped an absolute dud of a performance,
- 2:38Speaker 1: only put up seven points, huge win for the Wisconsin
- 2:40Speaker 1: Badgers and Luke Fickle as they had complete control of
- 2:44Speaker 1: that game. UCLA had the early lead, sorry, USC had
- 2:47Speaker 1: the early lead and then they fell apart. I'm not
- 2:49Speaker 1: used to having to talk about the better team in L.A.
- 2:53Speaker 1: being UCLA, not USC. I've got Indiana sixth overall. Very
- 2:58Speaker 1: fortunate to win in the big house against Michigan. Ugly
- 3:02Speaker 1: game there that they won in overtime. I've got Texas
- 3:06Speaker 1: seventh overall. We'll talk a little bit about that performance
- 3:08Speaker 1: against Ole Miss. They won, but Arch was not very good.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Three turnovers. Trinidad Chambliss also not very good.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Three turnovers.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Kentucky at eight, the actual first place by themselves, Kentucky
- 3:20Speaker 1: Wildcats at eight. They're on a bye week as they
- 3:23Speaker 1: get ready for what will be a night game at
- 3:25Speaker 1: Neyland on November 7th. BYU at nine, Notre Dame at 10.
- 3:31Speaker 1: That is my current Perfect 10 Mortgage Top 10. And
- 3:35Speaker 1: if you would like a perfect mortgage, you go to perfect10mortgage. com.
- 3:40Speaker 1: You give them 10 minutes and in as little as
- 3:43Speaker 1: 10 days, you can have a brand new mortgage using
- 3:46Speaker 1: the equity in your home. You can pay off your
- 3:49Speaker 1: credit card debt, your personal loans. It takes 10 minutes.
- 3:53Speaker 1: and only 10 days, perfect10mortgage. com. That is perfect10mortgage. com. All right,
- 4:00Speaker 1: you just saw my college football national top 10. Let's
- 4:04Speaker 1: toss up the SEC power rankings, and these are getting complicated.
- 4:09Speaker 1: And I'm going to tee off on AP poll voters
- 4:11Speaker 1: in a moment. But what I try to do, as
- 4:14Speaker 1: you saw in my top 10, is I try to
- 4:17Speaker 1: actually watch the games and reward teams for good wins
- 4:20Speaker 1: and balance out bad losses. So I've got Georgia as
- 4:24Speaker 1: the number one overall team. Some people are going to say, Clay,
- 4:26Speaker 1: how in the world do you have Texas second?
- 4:29Speaker 2: They've beaten Ohio State. They've beaten Ole Miss. They've beaten Tennessee.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Yes, they had tough losses to Oklahoma and to Florida.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Two losses that they should not have had, but I
- 4:39Speaker 1: think that Texas has got the second best resume in
- 4:42Speaker 1: the SEC right now. Kentucky, I've got it third by
- 4:46Speaker 1: virtue of the fact that they have five SEC wins.
- 4:48Speaker 1: That's more than anybody else. Only one SEC loss. Just
- 4:52Speaker 1: Georgia and Kentucky have one loss. I've got Tennessee at four.
- 4:56Speaker 1: You say, why do you have Tennessee at four? Because
- 4:58Speaker 1: they just beat my five team by 16 Alabama. I
- 5:02Speaker 1: know Alabama beat Kentucky, but the Crimson Tide have lost
- 5:06Speaker 1: two times in the last three weeks. They have lost, uh,
- 5:10Speaker 1: a bevy, I think, of credit for where they should
- 5:16Speaker 1: be ranked such that they don't even, Alabama's fallen so
- 5:19Speaker 1: much to the earth that the Alabama-LSU game is not
- 5:23Speaker 1: even a primetime game next week. Big November 7th, incredible
- 5:28Speaker 1: day to be sitting around watching college football. They have
- 5:30Speaker 1: dropped Alabama and LSU all the way to the 2.30 Central,
- 5:36Speaker 1: 3.30 Eastern kickoff.
- 5:37Speaker 2: They don't even get a night game at LSU.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Instead, the biggest game, the biggest night game is going
- 5:44Speaker 1: to actually be Georgia going up against Ole Miss. And
- 5:49Speaker 1: then Tennessee against Kentucky is also going to be a
- 5:51Speaker 1: night game.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I've got the.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Florida Gators at six, Ole Miss at seven. Remember, Florida
- 5:55Speaker 1: put up 50 on Ole Miss. I've got LSU at eight,
- 5:59Speaker 1: Missouri nine, South Carolina 10, Oklahoma 11, Auburn 12. I
- 6:05Speaker 1: think that's kind of a confusing stretch. It's hard to
- 6:09Speaker 1: rank teams in the SEC right now. Mississippi State's fallen
- 6:12Speaker 1: off the face of the earth. They're getting relatively easy
- 6:15Speaker 1: to rank. And then Texas A & M Arkansas and
- 6:18Speaker 1: Vanderbilt only have two SEC wins among them.
- 6:23Speaker 2: A & M beat Arkansas. Arkansas beat Vanderbilt.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I'm very confident at 14, 15, and 16 as the
- 6:30Speaker 1: three weakest of the teams in the SEC this year.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And so there are my SEC power rankings.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I was crushed. Tennessee choked utterly late in the game.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Against South Carolina, up 24-17, three minutes and 30 seconds
- 6:50Speaker 1: roughly remaining. Deshaun Bishop gets knocked out with an injury.
- 6:54Speaker 1: If he were in, probably none of this happens, and
- 6:56Speaker 1: I think Tennessee probably wins.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Had to sit out a play.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Tennessee takes a timeout, fourth down, runs a busted play,
- 7:03Speaker 1: and then this ends up happening.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I think we have.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Video of Lenora Sellers breaking the volunteer fan hearts with
- 7:11Speaker 1: this late lunge with about a minute 15 left running.
- 7:15Speaker 1: He appears to be stopped. Two men holding him right now.
- 7:18Speaker 1: They cannot get him to the ground and he scores. Now,
- 7:22Speaker 1: can we run this back? Arian Carter, I think if
- 7:26Speaker 1: he follows through and delivers a kill shot here, watch
- 7:30Speaker 1: as he kind of dives meekly, maybe trying to avoid
- 7:33Speaker 1: a penalty. If he delivers a kill shot here, Tennessee
- 7:38Speaker 1: linebacker number seven, the third man coming up here. If
- 7:42Speaker 1: he goes to deliver a kill shot, I think this
- 7:44Speaker 1: ball probably gets fumbled. And I think there's a decent
- 7:48Speaker 1: chance that the review is, did he break the plane
- 7:51Speaker 1: first or not? One hand, it's an all SEC linebacker.
- 7:54Speaker 1: He dives and misses. I don't know what he was doing.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I don't know if he was concerned that he was
- 7:59Speaker 1: going to get a personal foul. I wish that he
- 8:01Speaker 1: had lowered the boom here because I think if he
- 8:04Speaker 1: comes in high and actually goes after the ball and
- 8:08Speaker 1: the top of the player, that we end up with
- 8:11Speaker 1: a fumble and who knows who recovers that fumble.
- 8:14Speaker 2: It would have been fourth down if that tackle had
- 8:15Speaker 2: been made. It isn't, though.
- 8:17Speaker 1: South Carolina scores, and then Tennessee fumbles, and this is
- 8:21Speaker 1: the way the game ended on, I believe we have
- 8:24Speaker 1: the game-winning 48-yard field goal. It doesn't feel like anybody
- 8:29Speaker 1: ever misses kicks that are important by and large against
- 8:32Speaker 1: my team, and my team misses a lot of kicks,
- 8:35Speaker 1: and this was the result as South Carolina stormed the field,
- 8:39Speaker 1: got fined $ 500, 000. So all of that to me, big takeaway,
- 8:45Speaker 1: I would say is this big picture college football. I
- 8:49Speaker 1: don't know what fans are ready for the new world.
- 8:53Speaker 1: it is likely that there will be eight or nine
- 8:57Speaker 1: two-plus loss teams in the college football playoff this year.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I don't think Miami, UCLA, or Utah are going to
- 9:07Speaker 1: finish undefeated. I think every team in the college football
- 9:11Speaker 1: playoff this year will have at least one loss. I
- 9:14Speaker 1: think the majority will have two. There may even be
- 9:17Speaker 1: some teams that have three. And the guys at SEC Shorts,
- 9:20Speaker 1: I don't know that we need to play the whole thing,
- 9:24Speaker 1: but they have a funny take on this as parody
- 9:27Speaker 1: has arrived in the SEC. This is very funny and
- 9:31Speaker 1: an accurate reflection. I'll probably cut it off a little
- 9:34Speaker 1: bit early, but this is.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Up on YouTube. This is their work, SEC Shorts.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Watch.
- 9:41Speaker 2: It was the perfect conference until it started happening. They
- 9:50Speaker 2: were ranked number nine in the country.
- 9:52Speaker 4: He was a 16 and a half point favorite.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Well, it could have been one of those once in
- 9:55Speaker 2: a decade type upsets.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Yeah, just a fluke.
- 9:59Speaker 2: I don't think so. This is just the beginning.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Now what?
- 10:11Speaker 2: He was a number 14. That's a top five.
- 10:13Speaker 3: What's happening?
- 10:14Speaker 2: Who's doing this? The loss is coming from inside the conference.
- 10:18Speaker 2: What is it? I don't know, but it's coming. for
- 10:25Speaker 2: all of us.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Very good. And I would encourage all of you to
- 10:27Speaker 1: watch it, but basically having fun with the idea that
- 10:31Speaker 1: parody has officially arrived in the SEC. Now, I was
- 10:37Speaker 1: watching all of the games raising money this weekend for
- 10:41Speaker 1: the Brett Boyer Foundation, congenital heart disease, pediatric young kids,
- 10:47Speaker 1: one in a hundred kids have a congenital heart-related issue
- 10:51Speaker 1: that requires treatment. And I was with country music superstar
- 10:55Speaker 1: Luke Bryan. His niece, Brett Boyer, died of this. And
- 11:00Speaker 1: Ellen and Bo, her mom and dad, have created this foundation.
- 11:06Speaker 1: They raised millions of dollars to try to help. This
- 11:09Speaker 1: was earlier in the day on Saturday. I was on
- 11:13Speaker 1: with my guys at Big Noon with Luke Bryan.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Watch.
- 11:19Speaker 1: All right, Luke, let's dive right into it. SEC turned
- 11:22Speaker 1: into the NFL. I know those guys are up at
- 11:25Speaker 1: a Big Ten game right now. But as a Georgia
- 11:27Speaker 1: Bulldog fan, you went from absolute ecstasy.
- 11:30Speaker 2: You finally beat Alabama. Second time in a row y'all
- 11:33Speaker 2: have whipped Alabama. And beating them at home is a
- 11:36Speaker 2: huge deal.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Is another deal.
- 11:37Speaker 1: And then you find out Auburn, you think to yourself,
- 11:41Speaker 1: were three touchdown favorites. What was that experience like as
- 11:44Speaker 1: a Georgia Bulldog fan?
- 11:45Speaker 3: It was a nightmare. But I think it's the new SEC.
- 11:49Speaker 3: I think we're conditioned as SEC fans to try to
- 11:54Speaker 3: have to run the gauntlet. One loss is scary enough.
- 12:02Speaker 3: So I think we're going to start seeing a lot
- 12:04Speaker 3: of two-loss teams coming that really wind up after all
- 12:09Speaker 3: the dust settles being high-ranked teams. And that's, you know,
- 12:12Speaker 3: we're still under the play, the championship game. So when
- 12:16Speaker 3: you do that and then you play in your conference
- 12:18Speaker 3: championship game, it can get, really crazy. But yeah, I mean, listen,
- 12:23Speaker 3: I mean, Auburn, Kirby said it all week that Auburn,
- 12:27Speaker 3: these teams, talent-wise, are so close. NIL has evened it
- 12:31Speaker 3: up in a massive degree across all the college football.
- 12:34Speaker 3: I don't think you can stack them like you used to.
- 12:36Speaker 3: You certainly can't stack the depth like you used to.
- 12:39Speaker 3: And we had, you know, with K.J. Bolden going down,
- 12:41Speaker 3: that was a huge, he was a huge loss for us.
- 12:44Speaker 3: So it's the new day and age, and I think
- 12:47Speaker 3: it's where Players have to show up and listen to
- 12:51Speaker 3: the coaches and execute.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Okay, if you happen to have a little bit of
- 12:56Speaker 1: extra cash or you just want to try to make
- 12:58Speaker 1: a difference, thebrettboyerfoundation.org. It's on my Twitter feed. They do
- 13:04Speaker 1: an amazing job helping out so many families out there
- 13:07Speaker 1: that are struggling with what I think is, frankly, the
- 13:09Speaker 1: most challenging issue that could arise for any mom or
- 13:13Speaker 1: dad out there. That is with having a child with
- 13:16Speaker 1: a life-threatening medical condition. and trying to get as much
- 13:20Speaker 1: help for it as you possibly can. So if you
- 13:23Speaker 1: have the ability, thebrettboyerfoundation.org.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Cool story. Luke Bryan.
- 13:32Speaker 1: His son, Bo, a little bit early, I guess it
- 13:34Speaker 1: was yesterday, officially committed to Georgia as a football player, quarterback.
- 13:41Speaker 1: His son plays at a local Nashville area high school.
- 13:45Speaker 1: We were talking about this off the air. He didn't
- 13:47Speaker 1: want to step on his son for the announcement that
- 13:51Speaker 1: was coming. But congratulations to Luke and his son, Bo,
- 13:55Speaker 1: I believe, for the fact that he is now committed
- 13:59Speaker 1: to Georgia and will be a member of the class
- 14:02Speaker 1: of 2027. All the years are running together. My son's
- 14:08Speaker 1: class of 2029. I was trying to do the math.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Class of 2027, joining the Georgia Bulldogs.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Cool story there. All right.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Speaking of college football, I mentioned that Texas Tech lost.
- 14:21Speaker 1: But there was a huge targeting call in their game
- 14:24Speaker 1: against Cincinnati, and I think we need to have a
- 14:27Speaker 1: more significant conversation about stories such as these than we are,
- 14:32Speaker 1: and that is that in an age of the college
- 14:35Speaker 1: football playoff, all of the college football playoff spots are
- 14:39Speaker 1: worth tens of millions of dollars to conferences. And when
- 14:44Speaker 1: you consider that Michigan got an extra second to be
- 14:47Speaker 1: able to beat Western Michigan— based on Big Ten official decision-making,
- 14:52Speaker 1: when you consider that Notre Dame lost an extra second
- 14:55Speaker 1: based on Big 12 decision-making that benefited BYU, when you
- 15:00Speaker 1: think about Florida State getting a call on a second
- 15:05Speaker 1: Hail Mary that there was no possession in a way
- 15:08Speaker 1: that might have benefited Miami and the ACC, and certainly
- 15:12Speaker 1: we've seen Miami I think it was against Virginia Tech,
- 15:14Speaker 1: am I correct, the Hail Mary a couple of years
- 15:17Speaker 1: ago that was ruled in Miami's favor. It also immediately
- 15:22Speaker 1: came to my mind when Mike Pereira, Fox Sports' rules analyst,
- 15:26Speaker 1: I love Mike, he's the best former official at analyzing
- 15:30Speaker 1: officiating-related issues, I.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Believe, anywhere in media.
- 15:34Speaker 1: When Mike Pereira says, this looks like clear targeting to me,
- 15:38Speaker 1: and then the officials in the Big 12 reversed the targeting,
- 15:42Speaker 1: which allowed a pick-six interception to go in favor of
- 15:47Speaker 1: Texas Tech, I think in conjunction with all of the
- 15:51Speaker 1: other controversies that went in favor of the big school
- 15:55Speaker 1: that was being officiated by the league's officials there. Watch
- 16:00Speaker 1: this and tell me whether or not we need to
- 16:02Speaker 1: have a conversation about about the appearance of impropriety when
- 16:07Speaker 1: it comes to the money at stake for each of
- 16:10Speaker 1: these schools making the playoff.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Watch. A little bit, Mike Pereira, what say you?
- 16:17Speaker 5: Well, I tell you, big play. I disagree with the
- 16:21Speaker 5: decision that's made in replay. To me, you have a
- 16:23Speaker 5: defenseless receiver, and remember, when you have that, you're just
- 16:26Speaker 5: not talking helmet to helmet. You're talking shoulder, forearm, and
- 16:30Speaker 5: And to me, if you look at the head of
- 16:32Speaker 5: the receiver, this is contact with the shoulder to the
- 16:35Speaker 5: head of that receiver. So to me, I think the
- 16:38Speaker 5: targeting call should have remained.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with you 100%. This angle wasn't the
- 16:45Speaker 2: one that was the defining one. It was the previous
- 16:47Speaker 2: one where you could see exactly what you said, the
- 16:49Speaker 2: head going down. Okay, again.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Texas Tech ends up losing this game. Congratulations to the
- 16:58Speaker 1: Cincinnati Bearcats on the win. But when I watch this
- 17:01Speaker 1: and I saw Mike Pereira say the field call of
- 17:05Speaker 1: targeting is 100% justified on review, and then you see
- 17:10Speaker 1: a situation where the review is not upheld and they
- 17:13Speaker 1: change the call and it leads to a pick six
- 17:16Speaker 1: interception for Texas Tech, which could have helped Texas Tech
- 17:20Speaker 1: to win.
- 17:20Speaker 2: They ended up losing.
- 17:22Speaker 1: And would have helped their resume in the process, I
- 17:25Speaker 1: think it's certainly fair to ask the question, okay, what's
- 17:29Speaker 1: going on here exactly? A couple of other college football
- 17:32Speaker 1: stories that I want to hit. Mario Cristobal, Pat Narduzzi,
- 17:37Speaker 1: Miami dominates Pitt. There's a little bit of tension here
- 17:41Speaker 1: over what happened in the off season. Miami wins big.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Two coaches meet at midfield and just kind of pat
- 17:51Speaker 1: each other on the backs. Narduzzi publicly accuses Miami and
- 17:56Speaker 1: Mario Cristobal of tampering with star quarterback Mason Heintzschnell during
- 18:01Speaker 1: the offseason. Mason has been injured and Pitt is now
- 18:04Speaker 1: on to a backup. Miami put up 506 yards of
- 18:08Speaker 1: offense as well as 52 points. Here is what that
- 18:12Speaker 1: postgame interaction looked like.
- 18:14Speaker 2: They're going to meet at midfield now. And the officials
- 18:17Speaker 2: are just going to let that go. The last pass
- 18:18Speaker 2: to the ball on Pat Narduzzi. They're going to meet
- 18:22Speaker 2: at midfield now.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Miami ended up, of course, getting Darian Mensah instead. And
- 18:27Speaker 1: the truth of the matter might well be that Malachi
- 18:31Speaker 1: is Malachi. Tony is such an incredible asset that you
- 18:35Speaker 1: or me could throw to him for 150 yards a
- 18:39Speaker 1: game to say nothing of actually talented college quarterbacks. All right.
- 18:44Speaker 1: We got a big Monday night football matchup coming. The woeful,
- 18:48Speaker 1: depleted Philadelphia Eagles are hosting the incredibly disappointing Dallas Cowboys
- 18:54Speaker 1: in the thoroughly awful NFC East showdown that is taking
- 18:58Speaker 1: place tonight on Monday Night Football. I am on the
- 19:02Speaker 1: Philadelphia Eagles plus four and a half at home, even
- 19:05Speaker 1: with all the injuries.
- 19:06Speaker 2: By the way, look at these picks. It was a disaster.
- 19:09Speaker 1: The picks were a disaster in the NFL this past weekend.
- 19:13Speaker 1: I think I lost everything that you have seen on
- 19:16Speaker 1: this board so far.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Am I correct? Let's see.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I think every one of these was a loser so far,
- 19:22Speaker 1: and that is unfortunate. Did I get the Giants-Texans over?
- 19:27Speaker 1: I can't remember what the final, final score of that
- 19:31Speaker 1: game was.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Let me pull it up.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I know that I was struggling. Um, with the picks
- 19:35Speaker 1: so far, I got giants Texans.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Okay.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Thankfully we got one. They, they barely got over the
- 19:42Speaker 1: number for me. Thanks to overtime. Um, so we got
- 19:45Speaker 1: that one Cowboys Eagles. We need to have to avoid
- 19:48Speaker 1: a disaster. Um, Picks have been doing better, particularly in
- 19:52Speaker 1: college football. Not a good week in the NFL. So
- 19:56Speaker 1: I have got the Cowboys Eagles plus the four and
- 19:58Speaker 1: a half tonight. You get a special bet bonus. If
- 20:02Speaker 1: you are a new user, you bet $ 5. You get
- 20:04Speaker 1: up to $ 500 in no sweat bets. New customers only.
- 20:08Speaker 1: You can play in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan,
- 20:12Speaker 1: New Jersey, Ohio. Tennessee and Virginia go to hard rock
- 20:16Speaker 1: dot bet slash clay that is hard rock dot bet
- 20:19Speaker 1: slash clay to get hooked up with that big takeaway
- 20:25Speaker 1: okay we got a bunch of other stories that are
- 20:27Speaker 1: out there as well let's see.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Don Lemon I saw.
- 20:33Speaker 1: This story and and I want to share it Jamel
- 20:36Speaker 1: Hill has called out Nicki Minaj for supporting what she
- 20:41Speaker 1: says is a white supremacist, despite making a living in
- 20:45Speaker 1: the hip hop community.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Listen.
- 20:48Speaker 4: And now you see people like Nicki Minaj, who made
- 20:50Speaker 4: an awful lot of money in hip hop, aligning themselves
- 20:55Speaker 4: comfortably with white supremacy. And to me, the one thing
- 21:00Speaker 4: that's really interesting about the Trump campaign, whenever they summon
- 21:03Speaker 4: a black entertainer, It's nobody that we fool with like
- 21:06Speaker 4: that anyway. We've been dropped Nicki Minaj. If you're going
- 21:09Speaker 4: to try to get somebody that's going to cause us
- 21:11Speaker 4: a little bit of internal struggle, trust me, it's not
- 21:14Speaker 4: Nicki Minaj. We dropped her a while ago, not just
- 21:18Speaker 4: because of her association with Trump. It was because of
- 21:21Speaker 4: her husband and the way they publicly tried to completely
- 21:25Speaker 4: destroy the reputation of his victim. There's a lot of
- 21:30Speaker 4: ugliness in this woman, period, that we peeped a long
- 21:33Speaker 4: time ago.
- 21:35Speaker 2: OK, let me just say this.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Identity politics, I think, is the root cancer of American
- 21:42Speaker 1: society right now. The idea that if you are a
- 21:45Speaker 1: particular gender or a particular race, you have to vote
- 21:49Speaker 1: a certain way. What Jamel Hill is arguing there with
- 21:52Speaker 1: Don Lemon is being overwhelmingly rejected by good, decent people, white, black,
- 21:57Speaker 1: Asian and Hispanic across America.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Trump won Hispanic voters. men in 2024.
- 22:03Speaker 1: He got record high black support. In fact, roughly one
- 22:07Speaker 1: in three minorities voted for Donald Trump in 2024. As
- 22:12Speaker 1: identity politics collapses, that means that everyone has to stand
- 22:17Speaker 1: on their own political opinions. whether you're white, black, Asian,
- 22:21Speaker 1: or Hispanic, or some mixture of all of that. And
- 22:25Speaker 1: I think the idea of attacking someone because of their
- 22:29Speaker 1: gender or praising someone because of their gender or their
- 22:34Speaker 1: ethnicity or their race is fundamentally anti-American. And let me
- 22:38Speaker 1: give you an example of how the media divides us.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Byron Donalds is going to be the next governor of
- 22:45Speaker 1: the state of Florida. I know and like Byron Donalds,
- 22:48Speaker 1: I'm excited for him to be the next governor. He
- 22:51Speaker 1: happens to be a black guy. Andrew Gillum in 2018
- 22:55Speaker 1: ran before he was arrested for a variety of different crimes.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Andrew Gillum lost to Ron DeSantis by around 50,000 votes
- 23:04Speaker 1: in 2018 in the Florida governor's race. That may have
- 23:07Speaker 1: ended up being one of the most important governor's races
- 23:10Speaker 1: that no one talks about. Because if Andrew Gillum had
- 23:13Speaker 1: won in 2018, Florida would have locked down. in 2020
- 23:17Speaker 1: and 2021 during COVID. I have zero doubt. Andrew Gillum
- 23:22Speaker 1: would have treated Florida just like New York was treated,
- 23:26Speaker 1: just like Illinois was treated, just like California was treated.
- 23:31Speaker 2: There would have been no difference.
- 23:33Speaker 1: And a lot of other states, therefore, that had large
- 23:36Speaker 1: populations would have not had the same bravery when it
- 23:39Speaker 1: came to how to respond to COVID. 2018, Ron DeSantis
- 23:43Speaker 1: wins by only 50,000 votes. They tried to turn that
- 23:46Speaker 1: race into a racial referendum. And it was a huge
- 23:50Speaker 1: story that Andrew Gillum could potentially be elected the first
- 23:55Speaker 1: black governor of the state of Florida, a southern state. Well,
- 24:00Speaker 1: Byron Donalds is going to do it. And I haven't
- 24:03Speaker 1: seen a single story talking about his race. Now, you
- 24:07Speaker 1: can argue that's one reason that he's going to win,
- 24:10Speaker 1: because in America, your race should not dictate whether we
- 24:14Speaker 1: hire or fire you. in a positive or a negative way.
- 24:18Speaker 1: We should look at individuals and we should make rational, coherent,
- 24:22Speaker 1: reasonable decisions. If you're a black guy and you're the
- 24:25Speaker 1: best guy for the job, you should get it. If
- 24:27Speaker 1: you're a white guy and you're the best job, best
- 24:29Speaker 1: person for the job, you should get it. The best
- 24:31Speaker 1: man or woman, not the best man pretending to be
- 24:35Speaker 1: a woman, should get the job in a meritocratic America.
- 24:39Speaker 1: But what is interesting is almost zero coverage of Byron
- 24:43Speaker 1: Donalds based on him becoming the first black governor of
- 24:47Speaker 1: Florida because he's a Republican. Because Democrats only play identity
- 24:52Speaker 1: politics when it benefits them. And they can racially gerrymander
- 24:58Speaker 1: that in their benefit. By the way, I hope John
- 25:00Speaker 1: James is going to win in Michigan too. Also happens
- 25:03Speaker 1: to be a black guy. Also happens to be, in
- 25:05Speaker 1: my opinion, the best candidate for the state of Michigan.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Don't make race or gender or sexual orientation your defining
- 25:13Speaker 1: arbiter when it comes to how you vote. Look at
- 25:16Speaker 1: the guys or gals that are up for election and
- 25:19Speaker 1: pick the person that you think will do the best. Increasingly,
- 25:22Speaker 1: I am optimistic that America is doing that, and I'm
- 25:27Speaker 1: super excited about it.
- 25:29Speaker 2: A couple of data points.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Because people want to talk about data points. Here is
- 25:35Speaker 1: two states where things are going very well. I think
- 25:37Speaker 1: we have some data on this. Florida, there are now
- 25:40Speaker 1: more Republican voting ballots in than there are Democrat voting ballots.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Not good for Democrats because they tend to mail vote
- 25:49Speaker 1: and early vote at higher rates than Republicans do. I
- 25:53Speaker 1: have voted early. I encourage everyone out there to go
- 25:56Speaker 1: vote early. You don't know what's going to happen on
- 25:58Speaker 1: election day. Get your ballot banked. Florida, early voting. Byron
- 26:03Speaker 1: Donalds and Ashley Moody are going to win. Early vote
- 26:07Speaker 1: in Arizona.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Also now.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Favoring the republican party so for people out there that
- 26:13Speaker 1: are buying into oh this is going to be a
- 26:15Speaker 1: huge blue wave election there are about 30 million people
- 26:19Speaker 1: that have voted the votes so far are virtually indistinguishable
- 26:24Speaker 1: from 2022 go get your votes cast go vote early
- 26:28Speaker 1: like i did i'm putting the pressure on you i'm
- 26:31Speaker 1: shaming you i am a better american i have already
- 26:34Speaker 1: gone and voted have you if not Frankly, I'm.
- 26:37Speaker 2: A much better American than you are.
- 26:40Speaker 1: But the data out there, nearly identical for 22 and
- 26:44Speaker 1: for 26 so far.
- 26:46Speaker 2: I want to share this. This is from the Portland Thorns.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Now, you guys know that I am an investor in
- 26:53Speaker 1: the XXXY brand run by Jennifer Say.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Riley Gaines does a lot of work.
- 26:59Speaker 1: I'm actually, I don't even know if this is public yet,
- 27:01Speaker 1: I'm actually a member of the board for this athletic
- 27:04Speaker 1: apparel company. So I love this company. I love everything
- 27:08Speaker 1: that they stand for. Several people went to the Portland Thorns.
- 27:12Speaker 1: This is a National Women's Soccer League game in XXXY gear.
- 27:17Speaker 1: And they were attacked violently with awful things being said
- 27:24Speaker 1: to them. They were escorted out of the stadium with
- 27:27Speaker 1: their arms pinned behind them. And now the Department of
- 27:31Speaker 1: Justice is investigating this all for just simply saying women's
- 27:38Speaker 1: sports should only be played by women. This is how
- 27:41Speaker 1: there's tons of people waving trans flags.
- 27:44Speaker 2: You can see it a little bit in that picture.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Maybe for tomorrow we will play some of the videos
- 27:49Speaker 1: of exactly what went down for these individuals. All they
- 27:52Speaker 1: did was have the gall to show up and wear
- 27:57Speaker 1: XXXY gear.
- 27:58Speaker 2: That's all it took.
- 27:59Speaker 1: By the way, Enos Cantor, Freedom, going to be on
- 28:01Speaker 1: with us tomorrow on Clay and Buck. He's going to
- 28:05Speaker 1: be in town, back in town in Tennessee. We have
- 28:07Speaker 1: a great interview up with him. Bravest woman I know,
- 28:11Speaker 1: Enos Cantor. I want a positive story here. Got a
- 28:14Speaker 1: couple of positive stories for you that I don't think
- 28:16Speaker 1: are getting enough attention. You know, we're setting an all-time
- 28:20Speaker 1: record low for murders again this year after last year,
- 28:24Speaker 1: also setting an all-time record low for murders. And something
- 28:28Speaker 1: interesting is occurring here, and this is what this graphic reflects.
- 28:31Speaker 1: The number of people that own guns has skyrocketed while
- 28:35Speaker 1: the overall murder rate.
- 28:37Speaker 2: In this country has collapsed.
- 28:39Speaker 1: If you recognize a lot of people out there talk
- 28:41Speaker 1: about gun violence as if the gun fires itself and
- 28:45Speaker 1: isn't being used by an individual, whatever your thoughts are
- 28:50Speaker 1: on guns, it is an.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Unmistakable fact.
- 28:55Speaker 1: It is impossible to argue against now that as the
- 28:58Speaker 1: number of guns have skyrocketed in the United States in
- 29:02Speaker 1: private hands, the overall rate of murder has collapsed. And
- 29:06Speaker 1: I was thinking about this in the context of talking
- 29:09Speaker 1: about the brave dad in Bend, Oregon, who ran into
- 29:13Speaker 1: a classroom. His two daughters were going there. He did
- 29:16Speaker 1: an interview recently and he shot and killed the would-be killer,
- 29:21Speaker 1: a school shooter. A good guy with a gun showed
- 29:25Speaker 1: up at a school shooting and killed the shooter before
- 29:29Speaker 1: he could kill more people. This has happened now a
- 29:32Speaker 1: lot of times. Happened in a mall in Indiana. Happened
- 29:35Speaker 1: at a fast food restaurant in Idaho. Increasingly brave people
- 29:39Speaker 1: are saying, I'm not going to stand for this anymore.
- 29:42Speaker 1: And I think it's important to point out this is
- 29:45Speaker 1: the exact opposite of what happened in Uvalde, where all
- 29:49Speaker 1: of those police officers showed up at a scene where
- 29:52Speaker 1: there was a school shooting and lined up outside of
- 29:55Speaker 1: the classroom and were afraid to go in as kids
- 29:59Speaker 1: were murdered and lying, bleeding to death, teachers as well,
- 30:04Speaker 1: in that classroom. This guy, not a professional, not wearing
- 30:08Speaker 1: a flak jacket, he ran in because his kids were
- 30:11Speaker 1: there and he saved a lot of lives.
- 30:14Speaker 2: I believe there are.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Reports that there were still 40 different bullets in the
- 30:18Speaker 1: possession of that school shooter. likely would have killed many
- 30:22Speaker 1: more people if that brave individual had not shown up
- 30:26Speaker 1: and been a good guy with a gun.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Two other things that are out there. Today is the.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Four-year anniversary of Elon Musk purchasing Twitter, which he would
- 30:38Speaker 1: later rename to X.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Four years.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Four years ago today, he walked in with The Sync, saying,
- 30:45Speaker 1: let that sink in, making a joke as he had
- 30:49Speaker 1: purchased Twitter. Soon after, he fired 75% or 80% of
- 30:54Speaker 1: the employees. Twitter is now run better than it ever
- 30:58Speaker 1: has been before, and it is a freer marketplace than
- 31:01Speaker 1: ever before. I believe Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter, for
- 31:05Speaker 1: those of us who are free speech advocates, for those
- 31:08Speaker 1: of us who believe in the marketplace of ideas, is
- 31:11Speaker 1: the single most transformative thing 21st century statement for the
- 31:15Speaker 1: importance of free speech. I was later an investor in Twitter.
- 31:19Speaker 1: It ended up being merged into SpaceX as a part
- 31:23Speaker 1: of XAI. So I am a big believer and investor
- 31:27Speaker 1: in the ideas that Elon Musk has espoused. But his decision,
- 31:31Speaker 1: I don't think it's coincidental that Jeff Bezos and also
- 31:35Speaker 1: that Mark Zuckerberg have followed in Elon's heels to participate
- 31:40Speaker 1: and endorse a freer marketplace of ideas, whether it's at
- 31:44Speaker 1: the Washington Post, whether it's at Facebook, Instagram, all of
- 31:47Speaker 1: these other different outlets. It's also a sign, given the
- 31:51Speaker 1: recent purchase, by Skydance of the Warner Brothers assets and
- 31:55Speaker 1: the merger with Paramount, that left-wing media is now under siege,
- 32:01Speaker 1: so-called propaganda media. They basically only have owners at MSNBC
- 32:08Speaker 1: that are committed to far left-wing politics and at the
- 32:11Speaker 1: New York Times. Everywhere else is returning to some form
- 32:15Speaker 1: of centrism. at least some form of unbiased media coverage.
- 32:21Speaker 1: And that I think is supremely important as well. Okay.
- 32:26Speaker 2: I want to close with this.
- 32:30Speaker 1: I watch almost nothing other than football during the fall
- 32:35Speaker 1: on television. I watch college football and the NFL, watch
- 32:39Speaker 1: a ton of it. Last night, I ended up watching
- 32:42Speaker 1: with my wife the Mike Tyson documentary that is up
- 32:45Speaker 1: on Netflix. I don't even know how many days this
- 32:48Speaker 1: Mike Tyson documentary has been up.
- 32:50Speaker 2: It's fantastic.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Highly recommend all of you watch this Mike Tyson documentary.
- 32:58Speaker 1: I thought it was and is incredibly well done. if
- 33:02Speaker 1: you lived through the Tyson era when he was the
- 33:05Speaker 1: baddest man on the planet in the 80s and the 90s,
- 33:08Speaker 1: as I did, if you had Mike Tyson punch out
- 33:11Speaker 1: back in the day, if you remember on those rare
- 33:15Speaker 1: occasions when you could get the HBO free trial, we
- 33:19Speaker 1: never had HBO. And my dad wouldn't pay for the
- 33:24Speaker 1: movie channels. For those of you out there who remember
- 33:27Speaker 1: back in the day, they used to occasionally give you
- 33:29Speaker 1: free trials. I remember my grandmother had a free trial
- 33:34Speaker 1: during the time when Mike Tyson lost to Buster Douglas.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I remember waking up the morning after that fight was
- 33:42Speaker 1: taking place in Tokyo. It's obviously in a very different
- 33:45Speaker 1: time zone. I couldn't believe that Mike Tyson lost to
- 33:48Speaker 1: Buster Douglas. And I remember my dad taking us down
- 33:51Speaker 1: to my grandmother's house because she had a free trial
- 33:55Speaker 1: of HBO and watching that fight because I just couldn't
- 33:59Speaker 1: believe that Mike Tyson could possibly lose. The documentary dives
- 34:03Speaker 1: into it. Tyson was out all night the night before
- 34:07Speaker 1: the fight, drinking and partying with Bobby Brown, the former singer.
- 34:13Speaker 1: I think he married Whitney Houston later.
- 34:15Speaker 2: Am I correct?
- 34:16Speaker 1: Bobby Brown did. Had his own reality television show back
- 34:18Speaker 1: in the day. President Trump is included in this documentary.
- 34:23Speaker 1: I had forgotten some of the details about Mike Tyson
- 34:26Speaker 1: getting married to Robin Givens.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Robin Givens' mom.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Obviously, Don King is an incredible character in this story.
- 34:33Speaker 1: The rape trial with Desiree Washington. All of it from
- 34:37Speaker 1: the 80s and the 90s, if you go back into it.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Somebody asked, do you believe Mike Tyson raped Desiree Washington?
- 34:44Speaker 2: I do not.
- 34:46Speaker 1: I think the jury got that verdict wrong. I think
- 34:49Speaker 1: she consensually slept with him based on the evidence. And
- 34:54Speaker 1: I don't think Mike Tyson should have gone to prison
- 34:57Speaker 1: for that. Interestingly, Tyson said he told Jim Gray. I
- 35:02Speaker 1: shouldn't have gone to prison for this because I didn't
- 35:04Speaker 1: do it. But I've done a bunch of things that
- 35:07Speaker 1: could have been worthy of me going to prison for
- 35:10Speaker 1: back in the day. But the whole story I am
- 35:13Speaker 1: telling you is really worth watching. It is fantastic. Really
- 35:18Speaker 1: well done. Mike Tyson documentary on Netflix. I want to
- 35:21Speaker 1: close with this.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Barack Obama. did a.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Rally where he made fun of President Trump's style designs,
- 35:34Speaker 1: saying that it looked like Saddam Hussein designed a cheesecake factory.
- 35:39Speaker 1: And I do think this is important, and I think
- 35:43Speaker 1: about it regularly. The degree to which people look down
- 35:47Speaker 1: on those of us who go to chain restaurants is,
- 35:51Speaker 1: I think, legion. across many different elite parts of society.
- 35:57Speaker 1: But I think it's indicative of how out of touch
- 36:00Speaker 1: Barack Obama is, that he's mocking the Cheesecake Factory, which
- 36:05Speaker 1: is a place that lots of people, including me, for
- 36:08Speaker 1: much of my life, saw as an aspirational place to
- 36:12Speaker 1: go eat. I've grown up going to Cheesecake Factories if
- 36:17Speaker 1: I have the money to be able to afford it.
- 36:19Speaker 1: There were lots of times in my life where the
- 36:21Speaker 1: Cheesecake Factory was the most expensive place that we could
- 36:25Speaker 1: go to for a fancy dinner. The Cheesecake Factory is
- 36:29Speaker 1: I think, expensive for the average American consumer out there.
- 36:33Speaker 1: I've gotten made fun of over the years for talking
- 36:35Speaker 1: about how much I loved places like O'Charlie's, for how
- 36:39Speaker 1: much I love places like Zaxby's.
- 36:42Speaker 2: I am a fast food kid. I am a chain
- 36:46Speaker 2: restaurant kid.
- 36:47Speaker 1: That's the lifestyle that I was grown up being able
- 36:51Speaker 1: to experience. Neither of my parents ever made $ 50, 000 a
- 36:55Speaker 1: year at their jobs, ever in my entire life. So
- 37:00Speaker 1: I do think when you hear politicians mocking other politicians
- 37:05Speaker 1: by denigrating places that people could go eat that most
- 37:09Speaker 1: Americans can't afford to go eat at, I think they're
- 37:12Speaker 1: telling the politicians are and the so-called elite people are
- 37:16Speaker 1: telling on themselves. I think Barack Obama is actually telling
- 37:20Speaker 1: on himself by trying to make fun of President Trump.
- 37:24Speaker 1: To me, I have only in the last decade or
- 37:28Speaker 1: so been comfortable going to a restaurant and not intentionally
- 37:35Speaker 1: avoiding ordering the most expensive thing on the menu. Only
- 37:41Speaker 1: in the last few years have I been comfortable going
- 37:43Speaker 1: into a restaurant and just ordering whatever I wanted to
- 37:46Speaker 1: have the resources, the financial ability to not have to
- 37:49Speaker 1: think about what a meal costs in a restaurant. to
- 37:52Speaker 1: not have to intentionally avoid ordering the most expensive thing.
- 37:58Speaker 1: I think that kind of knowledge is important. I think
- 38:00Speaker 1: we should have more leaders who have had regular lives.
- 38:03Speaker 1: And I think it's important to continue to have a
- 38:05Speaker 1: regular life, even when you have financial success like I have,
- 38:10Speaker 1: like people like Barack Obama have. But I actually think
- 38:13Speaker 1: he's dunking on himself when he's mocking people who go
- 38:17Speaker 1: eat at the Cheesecake Factory. And I think that Ultimately,
- 38:23Speaker 1: these guys are telling on themselves with how much contempt
- 38:26Speaker 1: they have for regular Americans when they make jokes like these.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I'm in favor of jokes.
- 38:32Speaker 1: But the joke that he's making is the Cheesecake Factory
- 38:35Speaker 1: is trashy and President Trump is trashy like it is. Actually,
- 38:39Speaker 1: the Cheesecake Factory is, for many people, the highest-end dining
- 38:44Speaker 1: that they can possibly afford and something to celebrate when
- 38:47Speaker 1: you're able to go out there. I'm not getting paid
- 38:50Speaker 1: anything by Cheesecake Factory. I'm not even personally that big
- 38:53Speaker 1: of a fan of cheesecake.
- 38:55Speaker 2: I like cake. I like cobblers. Not a cheesecake guy necessarily.
- 38:59Speaker 1: But I know that every time that I've gotten to
- 39:01Speaker 1: go eat at a cheesecake factory, I've thought to myself,
- 39:04Speaker 1: this is pretty awesome. And this is pretty relatively high
