- 0:15Speaker 4: On artists on artists.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Do you know why they call it show business? I
- 0:19Speaker 2: always wondered that.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Welcome back to artists on artists on artists on artists.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Today we're talking Sunlight. That's right, the short film currently
- 0:30Speaker 1: making waves at sun Dance. Now we've gathered the cast
- 0:34Speaker 1: and crew of Sunlight to what was that they're unavailable?
- 0:39Speaker 1: We've gathered just the crew of Sunlight to talk about
- 0:43Speaker 1: their film. Let's listen in.
- 0:46Speaker 5: My name is Frederick Jensen and I'm I've been an
- 0:50Speaker 5: assistant director for at least I mean this production and
- 0:55Speaker 5: the director's last short film. It wasn't a short film.
- 0:59Speaker 5: It was more of a tick to I was a
- 1:00Speaker 5: really dissistant director. I've holmed it.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:03Speaker 6: Hey, I'm Django, I am the gaffer.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Excited to be here.
- 1:09Speaker 3: My guys.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Hey, I'm I'm Carrie Johnson and I am a career PA.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I love to do it. I there is nothing better.
- 1:18Speaker 2: There is nothing better, and I'm so excited to be
- 1:21Speaker 2: on this project.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Hi, my name is Stuart. I am a second second
- 1:28Speaker 4: and I I just had a really wonderful time working
- 1:31Speaker 4: under Frederick and every everybody in general. This was a
- 1:37Speaker 4: really really great experience for me. And it's it's it's
- 1:42Speaker 4: so nice to be talking to everyone and we'll go
- 1:44Speaker 4: I'm I'm team Sunlight. So it's really nice to see
- 1:46Speaker 4: everybody again together together after our production, after after we
- 1:52Speaker 4: did everything. It's really nice.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Wrap that up, wrap that up.
- 1:55Speaker 5: Steward.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Yes, yes, sir, Yes, sir, yes sir.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Hey, what's up. My name is Dawn and I was
- 2:03Speaker 3: the script suit. I you know, took care of the
- 2:07Speaker 3: script stuff. Donnie boy Day, what's uh? That's me? Okay,
- 2:14Speaker 3: So we had the little thing on set. I don't
- 2:16Speaker 3: know if you guys want to hear this? Is this interesting?
- 2:18Speaker 3: Is this interesting?
- 2:19Speaker 4: I actually think it's really interesting if you want to
- 2:21Speaker 4: go ahead and.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Say, yeah, So every day I would show up, you know,
- 2:24Speaker 3: with my scripts, my little stand to put my scripts
- 2:27Speaker 3: on right, get right behind that screen to watch the
- 2:31Speaker 3: shoot and out shop with my little frappuccino, just a tiny,
- 2:34Speaker 3: little fu. Okay, okay, it was huge. Okay, I'm a
- 2:38Speaker 3: little addicted to caffeine. But one day we were having
- 2:41Speaker 3: I think it was like the third day from RAP,
- 2:43Speaker 3: a third day and we shot for four days, so
- 2:45Speaker 3: it was actually the second day. It was the second
- 2:47Speaker 3: day of shooting, and I didn't have my frap and
- 2:51Speaker 3: I did not have my frap and I just I
- 2:53Speaker 3: just lost it for a second there. I just lost
- 2:56Speaker 3: it for a second. Could not believe. I was like,
- 2:59Speaker 3: excuse me, who is my freppuccino I got?
- 3:02Speaker 4: That was actually that was really stressful on my end
- 3:04Speaker 4: because I was over at base camp and I got
- 3:06Speaker 4: a call on the walkie. I got a hey, what's
- 3:08Speaker 4: where's where's the where's the what's the twenty on the
- 3:11Speaker 4: on the on the frap the frat for scripty, And
- 3:14Speaker 4: I said, oh, twenty on the frat for scripty. Let me,
- 3:16Speaker 4: let me, let me go. And so we were actually running,
- 3:19Speaker 4: we were running around, and it was really stressful on
- 3:21Speaker 4: our end.
- 3:22Speaker 5: Yeah, yes, yes, And it's just snowball effect because we
- 3:25Speaker 5: start here next thing, you know, we're over budget, we're
- 3:27Speaker 5: under we're undertimed, we we are all over the place.
- 3:31Speaker 2: For sure.
- 3:32Speaker 6: It's like so funny, Like sitting here with all you guys,
- 3:35Speaker 6: I feel like reunited with my with my crew.
- 3:38Speaker 2: But it's also so funny. It's like four days.
- 3:40Speaker 3: How do you build a family in four days?
- 3:41Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
- 3:42Speaker 4: But like we really we really can't.
- 3:46Speaker 6: I mean, when you're at the tip of ant freaking Arctica, okay,
- 3:51Speaker 6: and you are shooting those shots and there's a Starbucks
- 3:56Speaker 6: about an hour away that freaking Carrie had to go
- 3:59Speaker 6: to it morning get those.
- 4:02Speaker 4: It's really fun that we're talking about this in a
- 4:04Speaker 4: positive light because looking back on that experience, I remember
- 4:06Speaker 4: being in it. I remember thinking this is the worst
- 4:07Speaker 4: experience of my entire life. So it's really funny that
- 4:11Speaker 4: it's really funny that we can look back and laugh
- 4:13Speaker 4: because when I remember just being in the moment being
- 4:15Speaker 4: like I'm I'm I hope that this snowkill I remember.
- 4:18Speaker 5: I remember the director had that note where you know
- 4:21Speaker 5: the actors have to be yeah, like undressed for a scene. Yes,
- 4:28Speaker 5: not fully nude, but but certainly in their their unmentionables,
- 4:32Speaker 5: if you will, And we know we had to talk
- 4:35Speaker 5: about it, but then the director was did you guys
- 4:37Speaker 5: watch that film where the director and all the crew
- 4:39Speaker 5: they you know, they they did what the actors were doing.
- 4:42Speaker 5: I think it was called the Schmorgasbord and everyone wore
- 4:46Speaker 5: the traditional outfit of the German Shmorgas and they were like,
- 4:50Speaker 5: this is what brings this is what brings.
- 4:52Speaker 3: A film together.
- 4:53Speaker 5: And then we all had to get into our unmentionables
- 4:56Speaker 5: and it was freezing and we were completely miserable and
- 4:59Speaker 5: we thought.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Absolutely cold, and they would give the crazy thing is
- 5:02Speaker 3: they would give the actors the parcas after they would shoot.
- 5:06Speaker 3: We had to stay closeless. But I will say one second,
- 5:11Speaker 3: I think we should pay respects to the late director
- 5:14Speaker 3: Duddy Farsone Dotty Day four fell into the Arctic. Absolutely,
- 5:23Speaker 3: I will say, I feel like that's why this movie
- 5:25Speaker 3: got got a lot of buzz, and it's getting a
- 5:28Speaker 3: lot of buzz is because you know, it's kind of
- 5:31Speaker 3: about an Arctic story. And what's more dramatic in an
- 5:34Speaker 3: Arctic story than the real life director falling into the
- 5:38Speaker 3: Arctic the Antarctic, see.
- 5:39Speaker 2: You know, yeah, Because I'll be honest. I mean, I
- 5:42Speaker 2: when someone told me what this movie was about, and
- 5:44Speaker 2: I just sort of gather based on what I see
- 5:47Speaker 2: that day, Like nobody pitches me anything, but everyone is
- 5:51Speaker 2: naked in the Arctic sort of playing basketball. And I
- 5:55Speaker 2: couldn't really tie the pieces together very well. So I
- 5:58Speaker 2: wasn't sure why this was getting so much buzz. But Duddy,
- 6:02Speaker 2: I mean, it's not about us, it's about Duddy. It's
- 6:05Speaker 2: about the whole of the artist and the art. And
- 6:09Speaker 2: so when you really consider that man, I mean, he
- 6:11Speaker 2: was a legend.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Legend, he was a legend. He certainly was a legend.
- 6:16Speaker 4: And Carrie, I just wanted to commend you the way
- 6:19Speaker 4: that you kind of pulled it together after that crisis.
- 6:22Speaker 4: I always, to be quite frank, thought it was weird
- 6:26Speaker 4: that you, as a PA were thirty to forty years
- 6:29Speaker 4: older than every single other person on the crew. But
- 6:31Speaker 4: I really respect it, and I think at that moment
- 6:34Speaker 4: it made me realize how important it was to have
- 6:36Speaker 4: a PA in her seventies.
- 6:40Speaker 2: No, I mean, you know, you don't take that experience
- 6:43Speaker 2: for granted, right, you know, I pulled Duddy's body out
- 6:49Speaker 2: of that ice. And do you think some eighteen year
- 6:51Speaker 2: old who just got the job because of nepotism, do
- 6:53Speaker 2: you think she could do that? No, I could pull
- 6:55Speaker 2: a dead body out of the ice because I've seen stuff.
- 6:58Speaker 5: I mean, it's just one of those things where tragic
- 7:00Speaker 5: things happen on set. You know, it happens, and at
- 7:03Speaker 5: the end of the day, it's someone's job for for
- 7:06Speaker 5: things to keep moving. It's tough being that guy.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Well, that's why we really respected you, and Frederick, I
- 7:14Speaker 4: want to I want to mention this too, because you know,
- 7:16Speaker 4: as your second second, it was it was an honor
- 7:18Speaker 4: to watch you and it felt like a magic trick
- 7:19Speaker 4: the way that you actually after the director died, the
- 7:23Speaker 4: way you made are set more efficient, and I wanted
- 7:27Speaker 4: to ask how you did that that we actually ended
- 7:29Speaker 4: ahead of schedule with more than we needed, even though
- 7:32Speaker 4: the director was to see Stu. Where did you do that?
- 7:34Speaker 5: At the end of the day, it's the assistant director,
- 7:38Speaker 5: and then when when there's no director, I'm an assistant
- 7:41Speaker 5: to who I'm an assistant. I'm an assistant to the movie.
- 7:45Speaker 5: And then of course you're my assistant, which you know
- 7:47Speaker 5: makes you. This is the second second of the movie
- 7:50Speaker 5: and I felt, you know, with you by my side,
- 7:53Speaker 5: what I realized, if we didn't finish this movie, this
- 7:57Speaker 5: short film, faster and better, then then he died for nothing.
- 8:03Speaker 3: He died.
- 8:04Speaker 5: He died because it's cold in Antarctica. He died because
- 8:08Speaker 5: he thought it would be funny to do some idea
- 8:11Speaker 5: about basketball with everyone in their mentionables.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Well, I will say, like, maybe we should talk, you know,
- 8:17Speaker 3: a little bit about the part of the movie, just
- 8:19Speaker 3: you know, to because we're here to sell it.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:22Speaker 3: So, I mean, the beautifully beautiful thing about Sunlight. It's
- 8:25Speaker 3: the first NCAA basketball team in the Antarctic, and about
- 8:29Speaker 3: them trying to make their way to the United States
- 8:33Speaker 3: to play in the National College League.
- 8:37Speaker 4: But they they have to get around one big iceberg,
- 8:40Speaker 4: and that's what it's about. It's mostly takes place on
- 8:43Speaker 4: the other side of the iceberg.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Yeah. Well two, of course, I would say, one is
- 8:47Speaker 3: the literal iceberg, and two is the lack of their clothes,
- 8:50Speaker 3: the fact that they didn't have clothes. Yes, they just
- 8:53Speaker 3: had I oh, I think.
- 8:55Speaker 2: I mean, I was shocked at the cast that this
- 8:58Speaker 2: movie polled. I mean, yeah, Rick Jacobs, marn Johnson, marn Johnson,
- 9:07Speaker 2: caparal Flay like these.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Shaka, what about Shaka Shaka.
- 9:14Speaker 2: You know, I get why they didn't show up today.
- 9:17Speaker 2: I know they were invited. I get why they didn't
- 9:19Speaker 2: show up. They're busy, They're busy. It's honestly, I was
- 9:23Speaker 2: starstruck the whole time. The whole time.
- 9:26Speaker 3: I will say, yeah, for me, it was actually really
- 9:28Speaker 3: tough to be a script soup on this movie because
- 9:31Speaker 3: these are such talented actors using such a poor script.
- 9:34Speaker 3: I would say, in my opinion, they were right.
- 9:36Speaker 4: We can all we can all agree that this is
- 9:37Speaker 4: probably the worst script we've ever worked on. We've all
- 9:40Speaker 4: talked about that.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 9:42Speaker 4: There was nothing there.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Sure, Doundy's a legend as a gaffer.
- 9:45Speaker 6: I know this is a bad script.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I'm out of pocket. I'm out of pocket.
- 9:50Speaker 3: No, it's it's fine. He's dead here here.
- 9:53Speaker 6: I got a question from the fish bowl. This one
- 9:55Speaker 6: looks real fun. What is a job you did that
- 10:00Speaker 6: the rest of your crew wouldn't know these that's a.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Really that's a really great question.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Interesting.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Thank you for pulling that one, Janko. Yeah.
- 10:08Speaker 6: Like, I'll start and I'll say, as a gaffer, you
- 10:10Speaker 6: guys don't know all the shit I do with the
- 10:12Speaker 6: duct tape, Like, you guys have no fucking clue, Like, and.
- 10:16Speaker 4: I certainly don't know how you get it to stick
- 10:18Speaker 4: the ice.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my god.
- 10:22Speaker 3: I mean, I will say I feel like I did
- 10:25Speaker 3: notice that. One day when we had that problem. Right
- 10:28Speaker 3: in the morning, we get news the sheet device that
- 10:30Speaker 3: we're on is breaking apart, and all I remember. All
- 10:33Speaker 3: I remember is you Django yelling I'm on it. Two
- 10:38Speaker 3: hours later, we're back to shooting. It looks like I'm
- 10:40Speaker 3: just wondering how you did that.
- 10:42Speaker 2: You know, the way you gaff taped that ice stirred
- 10:45Speaker 2: back together. I mean, why we have global warming? Just
- 10:48Speaker 2: send you in there.
- 10:49Speaker 6: Oh my god, shut I mean it, I mean it.
- 10:52Speaker 6: It's so funny.
- 10:53Speaker 2: I mean, I can tape.
- 10:54Speaker 6: I can I can tape anything, and I've been I've
- 10:57Speaker 6: been a good taper since I was a kid, So
- 10:59Speaker 6: I I I can tape really just anything. But I
- 11:02Speaker 6: feel like I'm always handling the lights and the and
- 11:04Speaker 6: the wires. But I feel like you guys don't know
- 11:06Speaker 6: that I'm a good taper.
- 11:07Speaker 3: So that was my answer, Well, how'd you get into that?
- 11:09Speaker 3: What was the kind of like the nexus of you
- 11:11Speaker 3: getting into taping?
- 11:12Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:13Speaker 6: My mom just says she'd find me in my little
- 11:16Speaker 6: nursery and I'd be just tape in the nursery together.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Give you duct tape as a baby. Yeah.
- 11:22Speaker 6: I mean I think I'd find it and do stuff
- 11:24Speaker 6: with it, and you could use your saliva, can use
- 11:27Speaker 6: work as tape too. I think I just like, I
- 11:29Speaker 6: am fascinated by sticking stuff together, but obviously not as
- 11:33Speaker 6: fascinated as I am with lights. I love lights, but
- 11:37Speaker 6: I love I love doing stuff with my hands. I
- 11:39Speaker 6: think a lot of you guys at this table could agree.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Janko, Can I ask something a little personal? Yeah, well,
- 11:46Speaker 4: is there anything that you haven't been able to tape?
- 11:53Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 11:56Speaker 4: Yeah, do you like eate or.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Are you crying?
- 12:06Speaker 6: Some stuff doesn't tape, Some stuff doesn't tape.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Back to yet.
- 12:14Speaker 6: Sometimes you can't tape things back together, and you have
- 12:16Speaker 6: to know that you aren't God. You know what I mean,
- 12:18Speaker 6: The tape isn't God, and that you can't tape things.
- 12:22Speaker 6: I mean, with this it was it was a miracle.
- 12:24Speaker 6: I got to tape ice cubes and end thing and
- 12:26Speaker 6: snow together. But I mean, like I've failed a couple
- 12:30Speaker 6: of times, Stuart.
- 12:32Speaker 5: I think the the incident you're calling into question is
- 12:36Speaker 5: that the director asked to be taped to the side
- 12:41Speaker 5: of the icebreak. Yeah, because you wanted, you wanted to, we.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Could see the shot because we had.
- 12:50Speaker 3: You guys, we swore we wouldn't talk about this. We
- 12:52Speaker 3: swore we wouldn't talk about this.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Like, have I ever not been able to tape something?
- 12:58Speaker 6: And yes, I've not been able to the tape a
- 13:00Speaker 6: director into a cube ice and then he fell.
- 13:03Speaker 3: I mean it's hard.
- 13:05Speaker 6: It's like like they tell you that Doug tape works
- 13:07Speaker 6: for a lot of stuff, but it doesn't work for
- 13:09Speaker 6: like a human body that's trying to like see the
- 13:11Speaker 6: shot from the edge when he could have just used
- 13:13Speaker 6: the monitor.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Jengo, look at me, Django, look at me. You did
- 13:18Speaker 2: the best you could. This is not your fault. This
- 13:23Speaker 2: is not your fault. You did a damn good job.
- 13:26Speaker 6: I'm taping cubes of water together and I can't tape
- 13:29Speaker 6: this human to a piece of piece of land.
- 13:33Speaker 2: It just is hard to not go back.
- 13:35Speaker 6: But but watching the film, I just saw Daddy and
- 13:40Speaker 6: I saw him say I forgive you a little bit.
- 13:42Speaker 6: So I thank you, and I think I think my
- 13:44Speaker 6: crew I.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Will say that that moment the film he does say
- 13:49Speaker 3: I forgive you. I don't know if it was directed
- 13:51Speaker 3: at you. I think it was just a line to
- 13:53Speaker 3: another actor saying, I forgive you don't, but we can
- 13:56Speaker 3: move past. We can just be past that.
- 13:57Speaker 4: And I also, I also want to be clear. You know,
- 14:00Speaker 4: if you look really closely in the film, you know,
- 14:03Speaker 4: you see the splash of that he going into the water,
- 14:05Speaker 4: and and and and I know that all of us.
- 14:07Speaker 4: I don't know about the behind the scenes, but there
- 14:09Speaker 4: was a lot of ways we were all trying to
- 14:11Speaker 4: figure out how to edit you know, that splash out.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Not to speak out of turn because I'm not the editor,
- 14:15Speaker 4: but I remember being a lot of emails being like,
- 14:17Speaker 4: I don't think we can get the splash out. It's
- 14:19Speaker 4: in every single shot, you know we cross shot.
- 14:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Well, and even during the during filming that I had
- 14:26Speaker 2: to stick ice cubes in everybody's mouths to stop them
- 14:28Speaker 2: from screaming. And that was a nightmare. That was an
- 14:32Speaker 2: absolute nightmare because everyone wanted to scream because you know,
- 14:34Speaker 2: the director fill in the water is presumably dead, and
- 14:37Speaker 2: he was dead, but you know, the show must go on,
- 14:40Speaker 2: as they say.
- 14:41Speaker 3: That's why you guys did a.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Really good job editing that out. I mean, splash is
- 14:45Speaker 2: sort of like toilet flush sound effects like it made sense,
- 14:49Speaker 2: you know, I bought it.
- 14:51Speaker 4: And that's we were doing a one take. We were
- 14:53Speaker 4: doing it all. You know, we're doing a really long
- 14:55Speaker 4: shot and we could only it was Golden Hour. And
- 14:58Speaker 4: remember that. I remember, you know, somebody said, hey, Django,
- 15:01Speaker 4: maybe you could take the sun back into the sky.
- 15:03Speaker 4: And I remember you getting mad at saying that.
- 15:05Speaker 3: We were shooting for four days, but really the first
- 15:07Speaker 3: three days were set up for the fourth days.
- 15:10Speaker 5: You go for the rehearsal, you.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Know, yeah, I will say, as a script Soup having
- 15:14Speaker 3: all your actors mouths filled with ice, no bueno, where's
- 15:19Speaker 3: my frappie? You know, I'm gonna need some caffeine to
- 15:22Speaker 3: get through that one.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Don what what to answer the question? Don just to
- 15:26Speaker 4: keep us on track? Sorry little at.
- 15:32Speaker 3: That?
- 15:33Speaker 4: Good? Was that good? Frederick?
- 15:34Speaker 5: I got excited.
- 15:35Speaker 4: I got excited about Thank you, Thank you so much,
- 15:38Speaker 4: Thank you so much, thank you, thank you so much.
- 15:40Speaker 4: The question I was, what is something that people don't
- 15:44Speaker 4: know that you do in your job? Don Do you know?
- 15:46Speaker 4: Do you know that?
- 15:47Speaker 3: Oh? Yeah, yeah, you know a big part of script
- 15:52Speaker 3: Soup's job is actually continuity. I don't know if you
- 15:54Speaker 3: guys know that I did know that. Okay, you did
- 15:57Speaker 3: do that.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Well.
- 15:58Speaker 3: A big part of us is making sure the lines
- 16:00Speaker 3: are set correctly. Do you guys know that I do? Yes, okay.
- 16:04Speaker 3: A big, big part of what we do is making
- 16:06Speaker 3: sure the scripts stay dry. You guys know that, oh.
- 16:12Speaker 6: M hm, like physically dry.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Physically dry, because if a script gets wet, I can't
- 16:18Speaker 3: read it, I can't tell what's going on in the scene.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Just your just my own.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Script job to keep your script not wet.
- 16:26Speaker 3: I do not want to get my script wrap. Otherwise
- 16:28Speaker 3: some of the lines I'll go the line isn't you're alone,
- 16:31Speaker 3: it's your lue blue, and the actor will look at
- 16:33Speaker 3: me and go what, And then I'll have this embarrassing
- 16:36Speaker 3: moment of going, I'm sorry, my script is wet. I'm
- 16:39Speaker 3: so sorry.
- 16:39Speaker 2: And this job I'm always learning.
- 16:43Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 16:43Speaker 6: We don't know what each person does.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Sometimes no, I want to and I want to hear
- 16:47Speaker 3: everybody else's You know, Stuart, what's the little secret about you? Buddy?
- 16:52Speaker 4: Well? The second second is generally in charge of uh
- 16:56Speaker 4: kind of the talent trailers and the you know, making
- 16:59Speaker 4: sure that the talent is has everything that they need
- 17:02Speaker 4: in correlation with everyone else and kind of keeping eyes
- 17:04Speaker 4: on the talent and stuff.
- 17:06Speaker 3: And yeah, I will say, you could tell me anything
- 17:09Speaker 3: about your job. I know nothing about it, Okay, nothing
- 17:12Speaker 3: that was yeah, second.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Well, and then that means I'm doing a good job
- 17:15Speaker 4: because if I'm taking focus, then then then you know
- 17:19Speaker 4: that's that's an issue. You know, no one should know them. Yeah,
- 17:23Speaker 4: no one should know the second second's name. That's what
- 17:25Speaker 4: every boss has ever told me. And one thing that
- 17:29Speaker 4: I would say is one thing that I would say
- 17:32Speaker 4: is something you maybe don't know, is that on this
- 17:34Speaker 4: film on Sunlight, one of my jobs since I was
- 17:36Speaker 4: taking care of the talent was performing a dialysis for
- 17:40Speaker 4: Shaka I Shaka I get. I performed dialysis for her
- 17:48Speaker 4: and I did that for it was a four day
- 17:50Speaker 4: shoot and I did that. I did that three times
- 17:53Speaker 4: and she had three dialysises dialyses in four days.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Did she ask you before?
- 18:00Speaker 4: She kind of she brought all the stuff on the
- 18:02Speaker 4: first day and said, who's gonna do my dialysis?
- 18:06Speaker 6: And did you raise your hand?
- 18:10Speaker 4: I'll say I didn't have to because I was the
- 18:12Speaker 4: only one who asked who she asked and and I
- 18:15Speaker 4: didn't have an opportunity to ask anybody else because we
- 18:18Speaker 4: had pressing issues. But in my mind, I said, well,
- 18:21Speaker 4: dialysis seems pretty pressing.
- 18:24Speaker 3: So well, I will say, yeah, I feel like it
- 18:27Speaker 3: paid off. She was dialed in on that set, you know,
- 18:31Speaker 3: she was.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, the the way you know a dialysis
- 18:37Speaker 4: is working is that she's still alive. And she stayed alive,
- 18:40Speaker 4: and that's that's the good thing. And and I certainly
- 18:44Speaker 4: learned a lot. I can't I could, certainly, And I
- 18:47Speaker 4: made some mistakes.
- 18:48Speaker 6: Yeah, oh, but not as bad as mine.
- 18:54Speaker 4: I guess not. I don't. I'm sorry, Carrie Away. What
- 19:02Speaker 4: is it? What is something that you do that we
- 19:05Speaker 4: don't know about?
- 19:07Speaker 2: Well, I mean this is something that I was a
- 19:11Speaker 2: little shocked by when I got on the job. Decaverall
- 19:14Speaker 2: Flay is actually shorter than Shaka, and you'll notice in
- 19:20Speaker 2: the film it's the other way around. And that's because
- 19:24Speaker 2: you know, Duddy saw them both show up to set
- 19:26Speaker 2: and uh Di caver all Flay much shorter than Shaka,
- 19:30Speaker 2: and he goes, why the fuck is this happening? And
- 19:33Speaker 2: he turned to the first person he saw, which is me,
- 19:36Speaker 2: and he says, fix it, fix it, And so I
- 19:40Speaker 2: did what a PA is supposed to do. I fixed it.
- 19:43Speaker 2: And so in every single scene, Shaka's standing on me
- 19:48Speaker 2: to even out that high difference, and you know, people don't.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Know, sorry standing straight up on your shoulders or on
- 19:55Speaker 3: your back.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Oh, I was doing like a human footstool sort of thing,
- 19:58Speaker 2: and that's why you probably didn't notice.
- 20:00Speaker 6: Yeah, you look like an apple box. I remember because
- 20:03Speaker 6: I tried to tape you and I was like, whoa,
- 20:04Speaker 6: that's that's skin.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and then I moved mm hmmm, I will see.
- 20:15Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
- 20:16Speaker 2: I'm just remembering getting taped. It was so funny. It
- 20:19Speaker 2: was the only time I laughed that day.
- 20:21Speaker 4: You didn't have any mittens either, to be on that ice.
- 20:24Speaker 2: No, they made me. I stilled even though I wasn't seen.
- 20:28Speaker 2: They still I still had to be naked, you know,
- 20:31Speaker 2: because otherwise they would have gone, well, who has that
- 20:34Speaker 2: parka that's not an actor, and then the whole scene
- 20:36Speaker 2: would have.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Fallen apart and little, I will say a little air
- 20:39Speaker 3: on my part. There is that one shot in the
- 20:42Speaker 3: movie where it cuts really quick to a wide pan
- 20:45Speaker 3: and you can see, you know, you naked on all
- 20:48Speaker 3: fours just for a second, and then it.
- 20:51Speaker 5: They kept it in that IMDb trivia had it up
- 20:54Speaker 5: within a minute, within a minute minute.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Duddy Dying was like number three, It.
- 21:00Speaker 5: Was number three. It took ten minutes for that to hit.
- 21:03Speaker 3: So maybe that's why the movie's taking off. I don't know.
- 21:05Speaker 4: But one thing I'll say that was actually really cool
- 21:08Speaker 4: is that that wasn't It didn't come up under goops.
- 21:10Speaker 4: It came up under trivia, So it did come up
- 21:12Speaker 4: to me. That shows me that that was something that
- 21:14Speaker 4: was important for the film, and people were getting a
- 21:16Speaker 4: lot out of it, and they didn't see it as
- 21:17Speaker 4: a mistake. They saw it as right, they saw it
- 21:20Speaker 4: as trivia, they saw it as a part of it.
- 21:22Speaker 4: And I think that's that's that's really exciting. Carrie, Thank you.
- 21:27Speaker 2: And you know, I don't want to be an actor,
- 21:29Speaker 2: never wanted that, never wanted that. I just want to
- 21:32Speaker 2: move the Apple boxes from point A to point B.
- 21:35Speaker 2: I want to know. I want to know what the
- 21:36Speaker 2: twenty of every Apple box is. That's all I really want.
- 21:39Speaker 4: Nice I know, I know I was on the other
- 21:41Speaker 4: end of that walkie.
- 21:42Speaker 2: I know I always wanted to know. I always wanted
- 21:47Speaker 2: to know. I said, what's the twenty on the Apple box.
- 21:49Speaker 2: And you know you you'd ignore me sometimes.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Well you you'd say, you'd say Stewart, me me on two,
- 21:55Speaker 4: and I would go to two. And then you just
- 21:56Speaker 4: ask me about every single Apple box. And I said,
- 21:58Speaker 4: there's a lot going on I have. I'm a kidney
- 22:00Speaker 4: in my hands. I really need to go.
- 22:03Speaker 2: I mean, I just wanted to be prepared for any possibility.
- 22:05Speaker 3: You know.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Of course, in the end, I was because that dead
- 22:09Speaker 2: body died in my arms.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Hey, speaking of Walkie's the king of the Walkie giving.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Himself.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Wait, I've been waiting for this one. I'm waiting for
- 22:23Speaker 4: your answer, Frederick.
- 22:24Speaker 5: Oh well, let me tell you. If the director is
- 22:27Speaker 5: conducting an orchestra on the screen, I'm conducting the orchestra
- 22:31Speaker 5: the screen. You know, I'm the timings of everything right,
- 22:37Speaker 5: and I need things to keep moving, you know. I
- 22:39Speaker 5: know Shaka has to leave after scene one, head over
- 22:44Speaker 5: to Stewart, have some dialysis done, and get back the
- 22:49Speaker 5: final shot. Someone has to keep keep in contact with
- 22:53Speaker 5: these people. I'm I'm on call. I'm on every line
- 22:56Speaker 5: at all times. I mean, you guys know this because
- 22:58Speaker 5: I was talking to each and every one of you,
- 23:01Speaker 5: making sure you know this was all running smoothly.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Yeah, And there were so many problems on set. We
- 23:07Speaker 3: just had problem after problem after problem, and it was
- 23:10Speaker 3: so great to have you on set, just to be
- 23:12Speaker 3: the captain of the ship, you know, captain, my captain.
- 23:15Speaker 6: You know.
- 23:16Speaker 5: I mean, we didn't even cut after Duddy died.
- 23:20Speaker 3: We kept well because nobody called cut. Nobody called cut.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Who was buffed?
- 23:25Speaker 6: It felt disrespectful.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Exactly to this day, we haven't cut. We still set
- 23:32Speaker 2: up in the anarchic. We had to air drop some
- 23:36Speaker 2: I don't know how we got that footage.
- 23:37Speaker 4: You know, in the in the industry, we call this
- 23:40Speaker 4: a bottomless martini because it's the last shot of the day,
- 23:43Speaker 4: but it can never end, so it's the bottomless martini.
- 23:48Speaker 3: That's what jengo.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Jo jengoo.
- 23:59Speaker 6: I just sorry, I just get choked up when we
- 24:02Speaker 6: talk about Daddy Sarah.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Let's just move on.
- 24:04Speaker 3: No, yeah, wait, I wanted to hear Frederick's what's the
- 24:08Speaker 3: thing about his job? Then nobody does.
- 24:09Speaker 5: Here's what no one knows. I have to hold a clipboard,
- 24:14Speaker 5: like I really know what I'm doing at the end
- 24:16Speaker 5: of the day. If I'm not holding a clipboard, nodding
- 24:20Speaker 5: and telling people. If I'm just standing there with my
- 24:22Speaker 5: arms to my side like a freak, no one's gonna
- 24:25Speaker 5: believe me. But if I have a clipboard pointing at
- 24:28Speaker 5: it with my pencil and then pointing at something else,
- 24:31Speaker 5: then then everyone can like like the conductor's baton. Wow,
- 24:36Speaker 5: people can follow.
- 24:37Speaker 2: And I'll tell you that's true. That's true because Ei,
- 24:39Speaker 2: there was a moment where you didn't have a clipboard
- 24:42Speaker 2: and I just treated you like another pa. I walked up,
- 24:44Speaker 2: I punched you. I said, hey, piece of shit, move
- 24:47Speaker 2: that apple box because you know I've seen you ality yeah,
- 24:50Speaker 2: And then you pulled up the clipboard and boy was
- 24:52Speaker 2: ironbrris boy.
- 24:53Speaker 4: Oh.
- 24:54Speaker 5: It was a tense situation in that moment. Luckily you
- 24:58Speaker 5: said I'll head to Starbucks real quick, and a couple
- 25:00Speaker 5: hours later I had a nice little it.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Can always smooth something over with an ice cold hot
- 25:07Speaker 2: chocolate that when I bought it it was hot, but
- 25:10Speaker 2: when I gave it to you, frappuccino. Baby, that's what
- 25:13Speaker 2: we call an antarctic hot Drake.
- 25:15Speaker 6: Do you have to do what Don does and keep
- 25:17Speaker 6: that clip for.
- 25:18Speaker 3: For being wet?
- 25:20Speaker 5: I do, in a sense, I'm doing two jobs in
- 25:22Speaker 5: one here because if the clipboard's wet, then I mean
- 25:27Speaker 5: I just look unprofessional. I look sweaty. Now Icy totally
- 25:33Speaker 5: see it. Yes, exactly, the clipboard is an extension of
- 25:36Speaker 5: the human body, the same way as Samurai with a
- 25:38Speaker 5: sword or a a cowboy with his pistol.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Do you feel paid when your clipboard falls on the ground.
- 25:47Speaker 5: I of course it feels, you know, when you stub
- 25:51Speaker 5: your toe, exactly like that.
- 25:53Speaker 4: But in my heart, Hey, guys, this is actually crazy
- 25:55Speaker 4: because I just pulled a question out of the fish
- 25:57Speaker 4: bowl and this is actually kind of appropriate. So I
- 26:00Speaker 4: have a question right here, and the question reads, if
- 26:03Speaker 4: your department was a part or system of the human body,
- 26:09Speaker 4: what would it be and what do you consider other
- 26:13Speaker 4: departments to be in regards of the human body?
- 26:18Speaker 2: Wow?
- 26:19Speaker 3: Wow wow mm hmm yeah, I'll go first. I feel
- 26:25Speaker 3: like Django would be the hands, Carrie would be the feet. Second,
- 26:30Speaker 3: second would definitely definitely be the heart. You know, Fred
- 26:35Speaker 3: is the brain and the almost the mind the movie
- 26:39Speaker 3: the moving part, and I would say the script suit
- 26:42Speaker 3: job is that part inside of you that is the
- 26:44Speaker 3: most judge, you know, that dark part that says no, no, no,
- 26:47Speaker 3: don't do it, that way. Don't do it that way,
- 26:50Speaker 3: you know, because we're looking for perfection in my department.
- 26:53Speaker 4: I guess that sounds kind of like a negative point
- 26:56Speaker 4: of view of scripture provisors. Do you like being a
- 26:58Speaker 4: script supervisor?
- 26:59Speaker 2: Me?
- 27:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean was my first choice. I wanted to
- 27:02Speaker 3: be a surfer who filmed the person that films surfing.
- 27:07Speaker 3: I wanted to be the guy in the waves, just
- 27:09Speaker 3: watching those waves go by. But yeah, I lost a
- 27:12Speaker 3: leg to a shark, so that kind of ended that career.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Is there anywhere where we can see your stuff or.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Well, here's my prosthetic leg. Oh my surfing videos.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what we mean by your stuff.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:25Speaker 6: Yeah, speaking of your stuff, I could tape your old
- 27:28Speaker 6: leg back.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Well, my old leg is with the shark. It ate
- 27:34Speaker 3: the shark ate my leg. I lost it. But I guess.
- 27:36Speaker 6: Too bad, Too bad. I would have been able to You.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Guys can actually go to my old YouTube account if
- 27:48Speaker 3: you're really interested. I mean it's like whatever, but Donny
- 27:51Speaker 3: does surf. Donny does surf. I had like seven eight
- 27:55Speaker 3: thousand subscribers, and a lot of it was just waves.
- 27:59Speaker 3: I didn't really know how to edit, so it kind
- 28:00Speaker 3: of just upload hours and hours of footage. But if
- 28:04Speaker 3: you can, you can fast forward to minute seventeen minute
- 28:08Speaker 3: or hour four minute twenty two and our eight minute
- 28:13Speaker 3: seventeen again and you'll see three people surf.
- 28:17Speaker 2: So were you on a surfboard too? Or were you
- 28:19Speaker 2: just kind of standing in the water?
- 28:21Speaker 3: Wow? I So how it works is I have a
- 28:24Speaker 3: floaty camera and I am in a wet suit dangling
- 28:27Speaker 3: from that floating camera halfway, so I'm literally perfect shark bait.
- 28:32Speaker 3: I look like something dead in the water basically. So
- 28:37Speaker 3: the surfers come by and I go whoa with the camera.
- 28:42Speaker 2: You know.
- 28:42Speaker 3: I love making my own sound effects, like whoo.
- 28:46Speaker 6: Nice, that's what I think the gaffer would be, the balls.
- 28:51Speaker 4: Wow, wow, jingo.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 28:55Speaker 6: I just I'm not dick energy and I'm not anything
- 28:59Speaker 6: that's like respiratory. But I'm like there, you know what
- 29:02Speaker 6: I mean, And I'm like under it all and I'm
- 29:05Speaker 6: like right there.
- 29:06Speaker 2: I think the actors are like the skin nice. Nice,
- 29:10Speaker 2: they're what you see, but we're everything underneath. You know,
- 29:13Speaker 2: PA's are the blood because we're running. We're running everywhere.
- 29:19Speaker 5: I'd say the A D and I mean our entire
- 29:22Speaker 5: department of.
- 29:24Speaker 4: Course down the line, down the line, down the line.
- 29:27Speaker 6: Line.
- 29:28Speaker 3: We were the.
- 29:29Speaker 5: Muscles parts move, We're the muscle, We're the fibrous muscle tissue.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Yeah, so nobody liked my labeling of them. Nobody agreed
- 29:37Speaker 3: with how I labeled. Thinks that's fine. I just want
- 29:42Speaker 3: to where my frap is? Does anyone know where my
- 29:43Speaker 3: fatty is?
- 29:45Speaker 4: Do you need a fray?
- 29:46Speaker 3: I got? I have one? Thank you, strawberries, Thank god,
- 29:52Speaker 3: my fappy with strawberry, specifically strawberries and cream.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Yes, there's no caffeine, but you claimed it. It wakes
- 29:59Speaker 2: you up.
- 30:00Speaker 3: A decaf frappuccino with real strawberries and cream, and that
- 30:05Speaker 3: one to swirl at the bottom.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't even have to say decaf.
- 30:08Speaker 4: I bet.
- 30:09Speaker 5: Yeah, it's just milk strawberries.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I get a frappuccino, but I just want milk
- 30:17Speaker 3: strawberries cream mostly.
- 30:20Speaker 6: Well, that sounds like it doesn't sound like it's missing anything.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Are you guys telling me af frappuccino has no coffee
- 30:26Speaker 3: in it?
- 30:27Speaker 4: There's certain flavors that are our coffee less.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yeah, well, the coffee flavored prappuccino has it? Has it?
- 30:38Speaker 3: Hate those flavors, absolutely hate those flavors.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Really, there's most of them. Do have it? I think
- 30:42Speaker 2: you just chose the one or two honestly that don't.
- 30:46Speaker 3: This is news to me, and this explains a lot.
- 30:48Speaker 3: I would never wake up, if anything, I would get
- 30:50Speaker 3: really excited then crash immediately.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Man, I wish we had a fifth day of shooting
- 30:55Speaker 2: this movie. I'd get you a real coffee.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you so much. I guess what we
- 31:00Speaker 3: haven't talked about yet is the journey home. I guess
- 31:03Speaker 3: the fifth through the twelfth day, not shooting, but getting home.
- 31:08Speaker 2: But on the boat.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Yeah, on the boat.
- 31:11Speaker 4: The boat. I think I forcibly forgot about the boat.
- 31:17Speaker 5: Tell us a little more.
- 31:22Speaker 4: What I forgot?
- 31:25Speaker 3: Well, I feel like we all.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Forget struggling to remember the.
- 31:30Speaker 4: Boat, Frederick, if you asked, if you asked, I'll of
- 31:32Speaker 4: course answer. You know. I just remember getting on the
- 31:36Speaker 4: boat and realizing that there was no food and there
- 31:45Speaker 4: was no room, and it was a yeah.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Yeah. They airlifted Chakra de caval and Marv Johnson Rick Jacobs.
- 31:55Speaker 2: They airlifted him out of Antarctica to safety. I think
- 31:58Speaker 2: they landed within at China, like within hours.
- 32:02Speaker 3: They landed at China within hours, and they went from
- 32:04Speaker 3: the Antarctica to China and there was.
- 32:07Speaker 5: There was plenty of room left. But we all said no, no, no, no, please.
- 32:12Speaker 2: No please, because we know our place, we know our place.
- 32:15Speaker 4: We can speak.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Can we speak?
- 32:16Speaker 4: Crew to crew? Isn't that so funny that we always
- 32:21Speaker 4: let the actors go first all the time. Oh it's lunch,
- 32:24Speaker 4: you can cut in line. It's like, what what have you? What?
- 32:27Speaker 4: What were you doing?
- 32:27Speaker 7: Sir?
- 32:28Speaker 4: I performed three dialyses in the past four days. I
- 32:32Speaker 4: think I deserve some some some sauteed carrots and squash,
- 32:36Speaker 4: do you know what I mean? I deserve it first.
- 32:39Speaker 5: And we keep a pleasant face the whole time.
- 32:42Speaker 4: Mother want them to right away, right away, go ahead,
- 32:45Speaker 4: my god, oh my gosh.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Have you got my pleasant face? You've seen it?
- 32:48Speaker 3: You guys been with do it one time?
- 32:50Speaker 4: Do you duct tape? You duct tape your cheeks, your ears?
- 32:53Speaker 6: I ducked it my cheeks in my ears, folks, the
- 32:55Speaker 6: same duct tape I killed bat Man.
- 32:58Speaker 2: We gets a lot of laugh out of me every day.
- 33:02Speaker 4: It's for us, that's what we call something for us.
- 33:05Speaker 7: Yes, I actually love this.
- 33:06Speaker 6: Let's just it's just crew. Let's I'll meet you at
- 33:13Speaker 6: your crew to crew truth, and here's my crew to
- 33:16Speaker 6: crew truth.
- 33:18Speaker 2: What is your crew to crew truth is?
- 33:21Speaker 6: I don't think it's that hard to act. Yes, if
- 33:28Speaker 6: you know what it's like to tape a slippery object
- 33:30Speaker 6: to something that's hard, do you know how to memorize
- 33:34Speaker 6: some motherfucking lines and just say on camera not hard?
- 33:38Speaker 4: Yes, truth out, yes, yes signor I love that.
- 33:44Speaker 5: It feels good to say. You know, normally we're in
- 33:46Speaker 5: these shells where we're you know, we're bottled up. But
- 33:49Speaker 5: it feels good to finally just oh, okay, so you're
- 33:57Speaker 5: not doing anything for ten hours of the day, why
- 34:00Speaker 5: don't you rest in a large house car?
- 34:04Speaker 4: You know what.
- 34:04Speaker 5: I'm sitting outside butt naked but freezing my ass off,
- 34:11Speaker 5: and I'm just I'm I'm losing it. Why do I
- 34:14Speaker 5: only get a niglu?
- 34:16Speaker 3: Huh? How come?
- 34:17Speaker 5: And that's not a personal one. All of us shared.
- 34:20Speaker 3: We all shared one. I mean we did. We those
- 34:24Speaker 3: scary stories at night work and it was nice to.
- 34:27Speaker 6: Be naked together in a space.
- 34:29Speaker 4: It was nice. Well, let's be honest what it was.
- 34:31Speaker 3: It was?
- 34:32Speaker 4: It was somebody built a bunch of put up, piled
- 34:35Speaker 4: a bunch of snow on top of a porter party
- 34:37Speaker 4: and said it.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Was I believed him. I believed them. They fooled me.
- 34:43Speaker 3: They didn't come.
- 34:44Speaker 6: You're not battled.
- 34:46Speaker 2: They fooled me. I mean, I you know, I accept
- 34:49Speaker 2: when I'm given. I'm a happy freaking you know what
- 34:52Speaker 2: we're c crew. I'm gonna say, fucking I'm a happy
- 34:55Speaker 2: fucking camper.
- 34:56Speaker 7: Wow.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Wow, man, I'm crazy today. I'm crazy today.
- 35:02Speaker 3: You know I'm gonna say this, and it's kind of
- 35:04Speaker 3: already been touched on. It's kind of already been touched on.
- 35:06Speaker 3: But listen, just say your lines right the first time.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Am I right? You don't need all this work. Memorizing
- 35:14Speaker 3: is just freaking words on a page. I'm here, I
- 35:17Speaker 3: have to look everywhere and say this is right, this
- 35:20Speaker 3: is wrong. We have to do this again. We have
- 35:22Speaker 3: to do that again. I'm breaking everything. All I want
- 35:25Speaker 3: you to do is just say your lines. It's true.
- 35:27Speaker 2: I have a secret. Dick Caverall didn't say any of
- 35:33Speaker 2: her lines. I said them when I was the footstool,
- 35:36Speaker 2: when naked. She was like, I'm tired of speaking. I
- 35:42Speaker 2: need you to fix this, and I said, I'll freaking
- 35:46Speaker 2: fucking fix it. I'll fucking fix it. And this was
- 35:53Speaker 2: I mean, you can't tell anyone, You cannot tell anyone,
- 35:55Speaker 2: you cannot tell.
- 35:56Speaker 4: But Carrie, she won Best Actor at Tiff.
- 35:59Speaker 2: She wont actor, and somebody who wasn't a team player
- 36:04Speaker 2: maybe would have taken issue with that. But I'm a PA.
- 36:07Speaker 2: This is what I've done my whole life. It is
- 36:09Speaker 2: a noble pursuit and I will throw my body on
- 36:12Speaker 2: the line in defense of this movie. I don't feel
- 36:15Speaker 2: bad at all.
- 36:16Speaker 3: She deserves I gotta say, as a script soup, I'm
- 36:19Speaker 3: actually ashamed. I didn't realize that. Once I realized that
- 36:24Speaker 3: she was mouthing the words and you were saying them
- 36:27Speaker 3: underneath her, That's okay.
- 36:29Speaker 2: I mean, to be fair, I'm a really good actor.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:32Speaker 6: Hey, Carrie, when you said you wanted to be a
- 36:35Speaker 6: PA all your life, So when you go to college,
- 36:37Speaker 6: if you want to be a PA, what's your major?
- 36:41Speaker 2: Well, you know you sort of you gotta figure out
- 36:45Speaker 2: what is a PA? Ultimately, they're the person who moves
- 36:49Speaker 2: the things from point A to point B.
- 36:52Speaker 6: Like administration cinema, like where is that? Where's the line?
- 36:56Speaker 7: You know?
- 36:56Speaker 3: What job is that?
- 36:57Speaker 2: What job is is point A to point b that's
- 37:00Speaker 2: a train conductor.
- 37:01Speaker 4: And so.
- 37:04Speaker 6: Don't tell me you steady trained.
- 37:06Speaker 3: You majored in trained conductive conductivity. Train.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Well, I had to learn what the purest I mean.
- 37:12Speaker 2: I never wanted to be a freaking train conductor. That's
- 37:15Speaker 2: not what I wanted to do. I wanted to be
- 37:16Speaker 2: a piani. But in order to in order to learn
- 37:20Speaker 2: the transfer of objects, the transfer of objects in motion
- 37:24Speaker 2: from this goes here, goes here, goes here, you got
- 37:26Speaker 2: to learn how to move that train. And so you know,
- 37:30Speaker 2: when you're an abstract artist, you first have to learn
- 37:32Speaker 2: how to make Renaissance style portraits. You know, you have
- 37:35Speaker 2: to know the rules before you can break them. And
- 37:38Speaker 2: I think it's kind of the same. So, yes, I
- 37:40Speaker 2: spent two hundred and ten thousand dollars going to a
- 37:43Speaker 2: train conducting school, and then I walked onto the Warner
- 37:47Speaker 2: Brothers lot and I said I need a job, and
- 37:50Speaker 2: they said, you know what, okay, And I've been here
- 37:54Speaker 2: ever since, been happy camper for fifty seven years.
- 37:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Well, this short as a Warner Brothers movie, we should
- 38:01Speaker 3: we should say that was funded by Warner Brothers, got
- 38:04Speaker 3: a huge budget because as we all know, uh Duddy
- 38:09Speaker 3: his dad is a Warner. His other his father, his
- 38:13Speaker 3: stepfather is a Warner, Chip.
- 38:14Speaker 4: Warner, Chip Warner. Can I just say one more thing,
- 38:18Speaker 4: cr Crew, because I was having so much fun with that.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Just something that's been kind of key.
- 38:22Speaker 8: Yeah, if you need dialysis, bring a nurse, Bring a nurse,
- 38:34Speaker 8: Bring a nurse who can do it.
- 38:36Speaker 5: Nothing against dialysisis we don't have We don't have anything
- 38:39Speaker 5: against them.
- 38:40Speaker 4: I love so many people with dialysis. I have such
- 38:44Speaker 4: a close relationship and I think dialysis is an incredible
- 38:47Speaker 4: medical marvel. But we need to leave it to the professionals.
- 38:50Speaker 4: And if I get asked to do it again, I
- 38:52Speaker 4: will because I have to. But it's really really hard
- 38:56Speaker 4: for me. It's not set.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Yeah, they should have no offense. But there was a
- 39:00Speaker 2: day when Shaka was looking a little like, uh yellow pallide.
- 39:07Speaker 4: I bet we call that joundice, And that was something
- 39:10Speaker 4: that I did have to deal with. I looked it
- 39:12Speaker 4: up on my phone because I'm googling dialysis on my
- 39:15Speaker 4: phone as I'm doing it, so it's it's really really hot.
- 39:20Speaker 4: She said, I need dialysis. I'm like, okay, good Siri.
- 39:22Speaker 4: What's the alice is?
- 39:23Speaker 2: Like?
- 39:23Speaker 4: I didn't know when I started and now I know no, yeah,
- 39:27Speaker 4: I put it on my resume. But it's it's it's
- 39:30Speaker 4: a lot, and you should have someone who knows how
- 39:32Speaker 4: to do that, just like we need the perfect a
- 39:35Speaker 4: perfect a D get Frederick Jensen, you know what I mean.
- 39:39Speaker 4: That's what you need a professionally, you get a professional.
- 39:42Speaker 4: So that's that was just a I think that's a
- 39:45Speaker 4: little petty of me, but that No, it isn't.
- 39:47Speaker 6: It isn't, it isn't. I'm glad you said something. I
- 39:50Speaker 6: really am.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Yeah, it's about your boundaries.
- 39:54Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 39:55Speaker 6: I'll say, don't trust a gaffer with your life to
- 39:59Speaker 6: pay you to tape you to an Iceberg.
- 40:03Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no.
- 40:09Speaker 7: We've talked about that.
- 40:18Speaker 4: The bad keep going.
- 40:22Speaker 5: That's really good.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Let it out, buddy, you got more in there. Keep
- 40:32Speaker 3: saying names, keep saying names. It seems to be helping
- 40:34Speaker 3: ricked Jack.
- 40:36Speaker 2: That's the call. She just go down the call.
- 40:37Speaker 3: She basically it.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Say crafty, say crafty, say crafty, Jangle, say crafty, dotty.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Who serve the fries?
- 40:48Speaker 3: Oh dotty, dotty dotty?
- 40:52Speaker 2: Oh my god, did we leave her make it on
