- 0:13[SPEAKER_03]: John is flying to Australia is well not tonight.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_03]: But coming up, and we've got a lot to talk about.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_03]: Both of practice today, my Kevin's practice today, still no Ramello height, 49ers working out defense of ends yesterday, defensive tackles today.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_03]: Is it possible that Quentin Nelson gets traded?
- 0:34[SPEAKER_03]: We all lot to get to, let's go.

- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a I'm a Texan that went to grad school in Kansas City.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: You are not wrong.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_03]: There you go.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_03]: There you go.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_03]: I knew.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_03]: I knew the Baron of Barbecue in Kansas City.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, Texas Barbecue's famous.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_03]: So John knows his barbecue.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_03]: Check them out.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_03]: They're an Emoryville Court of Modera soon to open in downtown Petaluma.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_03]: People say, we're in Petaluma.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be right there in downtown Petaluma.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_03]: I don't have the exact address, but we'll be there for the grand opening.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_03]: Super excited to.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_03]: to be telling you guys about picking a pickle.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_03]: So thanks to picking a pickle for being such a great restaurant and such good friends and supporters of the crew show and also prize picks were brought to you by prize picks America's number one sports picks up.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_03]: It's incredibly easy to use.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_03]: You just pick more or less on player stats.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_03]: Lock in your lineup and you're good to go.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_03]: Would you rather pick teams?
- 1:47[SPEAKER_03]: You can now do that too.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_03]: Pick the winner of the spread of the total of your favorite games and fights.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_03]: brand new offer new users play your first $5 lineup you'll get 150 in bonus lineup so if that first lineup is a winner and thank you as well to Nevada Chevrolet.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_03]: Nevada Chevrolet.com is the only place I will buy a Chevrolet.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_03]: Check them out on the web, Nevada Chevrolet.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_03]: And once again, Nevada Chevrolet.com, we called the stream 49ers huge injury updates.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_03]: What it means Nick for Nick Bosa and what it means for the RAM game.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_03]: So I was in Santa Clare today for the 49ers final practice before they fly.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_03]: hours and hours and hours.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_03]: And it's funny asking the players about the flight.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_03]: Some are like, yeah, I think it's 13 hours.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_03]: One guy's like, I think it's 18 hours.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we got a five hour disparity in some of the answers on the flight.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_03]: Let you say it's a long flight.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_03]: But Mike Evans was back at practice today.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_03]: Nick Bosa was back at practice today.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_03]: They both returned to practice today.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_03]: Also returning today Kyle Hughes check, Ephesians Prysock, not at practice today.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_03]: Ramello Heights, Ronaldo Green, of course, who's due to start, Jacob Cowing, Luke Gifford, Jack Jones worked on a side field today in Grayson-Holton.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_03]: So why don't we talk about Bosa for a second?
- 3:09[SPEAKER_03]: He talked to us after practice, John, and he said, you know, he's had some pretend and soreness, though he feels like they ramped him up, he had some soreness, they took the foot off the gas pedal basically gave him two and a half, three weeks more to kind of just do what he wants to do, get ready on his own, own a chord, his own pace.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_03]: And he feels really good.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to be on the plane tonight.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_03]: He will be playing on the 10th and he feels good.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_03]: Now the question is, how good will he be?
- 3:40[SPEAKER_03]: And what can we expect?
- 3:42[SPEAKER_03]: He did once upon a time hold out, signed on a Friday and played on a Sunday, but didn't have a great first four or five games that year.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_03]: How concerned are you with Nick Bosa?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_03]: What kind of snap count do you think you'd
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that comment about the Patelate tendon.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I did my, like, dog and personation.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: I was just like, hmm, like, that's not what you want to hear.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: Patelate tendon.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: But usually what happens in these injuries, especially lower body, whether it's a calf, a kill is ACL, PCL, you overcompensate during your recovery and that puts strain on other issues.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: So like, that's relatively normal.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: The good news,
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: and this should be a delight to all 49ers fans is that there was an issue and they were pre-emptive and how that they addressed the issue and recover from it.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: So the fact that, yes, Nick Bosa missed one month of practice.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: It was August 3rd that he stopped practice in today's September 2nd as of this recording.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, that's a month off.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: But that is precisely why the ramp up period takes place, very similar to what they do with Christian McCaffrey, so that you've gone through and built up the calluses and overcome that.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: Now the body has healed.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: Now you start to re-ramp up time.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: hopefully that goes off without a hitch.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: So far, Bosa, you know, not one to show a lot of emotion or increased volume fluidity, it seemed pretty happy today with how his body responded.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: So that's huge.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's a you want Nick Bosa, you have to have him.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: I would argue he's probably one of the most important 49ers on the roster.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: I have no problem saying he's the most because, man, the quarterback is
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: the best backup quarterback in the NFL and pass rush is such a major issue for the 49ers.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: You're playing the reigning MVP, Matthew Stafford, which whenever he is not pressured, can dice up any defense in the NFL.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: You have to make him feel uncomfortable.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be almost impossible to do that without Nick Bosa out there.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: So my question to you, Larry.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to be smart with both.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I think you rotates out series.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: Do you put them on a snap count limit?
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: Is that 45 snaps?
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: Is it 35 snaps?
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: Is it just you go every other series and maybe out there on some third downs?
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: How do you expect the 49ers to handle Nick Boses usage the very first game?
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: Because I do think he'll play.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think he's going to go, I mean, I hope they have a plan and it's not just a free for all.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_03]: I hope it's not just like, you know, what does he feel like, you know, I hope it's, I hope they got a plan.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_03]: I would like to keep him 25 snaps or less.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_03]: So I'd like to do.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_03]: And I want him to be in there for the big time snaps.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_03]: So I think I'm going to play him more and more and more if the game goes on.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, I'm looking to play him only on third downs.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to see him on first and second down, which then makes, she sit there and go, do they have enough defense events period?
- 6:50[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know if they do, they sign Vincent Anthony from Duke yesterday to their practice squad.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_03]: They have Agbo Ocaronco on the practice squad.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I could make an argument that Agbo Ocaronco was far and away.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_03]: They're best defensive end in the preseason.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_03]: Why see on the practice squad?
- 7:06[SPEAKER_03]: So I think he for sure gets the call that does the call up and who knows.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe Anthony does as well.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they only have, they don't have very much very good depth.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_03]: Um, at defense event, the only one with nine defensive linemen total and you're only they used to go 11 pretty consistently on their right, but they went with a three quarterbacks.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_03]: They went with extra offensive linemen, they went with an extra lineback or this time.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_03]: So you have Bosa Samo key on white and remelio height.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_03]: Remelio height practicing heights not practicing and, uh, you know, so you got Bosa, you got basically three guys and and Ocaron quo.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they maybe that's what they're going to go with.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you've got to fight inactive.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: Ocaronk was going to play.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I would not be shocked if Ocaronk was out there in the very first series.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's how consistent he was in the preseason.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: Dude was awesome.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: And not just, I mean, past rush is kind of his specialty.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's got the bend.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: He's got the burst, but he's a practice squad player.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: However, the 49ers are deficient in this area and with until Michele Williams comes back, even then
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: You've got quality debt.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: Samo started so many games last year, did a his job, he's a consistent plus level player, but he's not a playmaker, right?
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's somebody that makes everybody around him better.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's a goldfish type player who's very good and very consistent, not a lot of negatives, but it doesn't get sex, does not get quarterback hits.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: He'll bull rush the tackle and shrink the pocket in, but you can only have so many of those guys.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: You have to have somebody to finish the play.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_01]: Ocaronko fits that mold a little bit better, I think.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: Andy, man, who gets more snaps week one?
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, book or on quote or Nick Bosa, because I would say that's well, Quran quote.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_03]: He's helped me.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_03]: He's played more.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you know, I mean, that's the other thing too.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, do you want one big week of Nick Bosa or do you want to have?
- 9:08[SPEAKER_03]: Posts over the course of the year.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think you got to be smart here.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_03]: It's a big game But it's also a week one which is also another baffling reason to me, you know Baffling, you know, thing to why they didn't take one more defense event It seems like with both being your main defense event and him his physical status Being in question, wouldn't you want to have extra Defense event and defense events and said they went short at defense event.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's a very perplexing finish
- 9:37[SPEAKER_03]: to their, to their roster there, considering that many got all these young db's and I would I'd want to have as many guys up in the defense of line as possible to go after Stafford and be able to rush him.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_03]: It seems like they're at, it seems to me that they're asking an awful lot of Nick Bosa coming off an injury and Ramello height who's been hurt for a number of days now.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_03]: It just seems like they're asking a lot.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: you can invest the capital, which I think the 49ers do value the defensive line more than any other position group, maybe wide receiver you can make the argument with Kyle Shanahan there, but like they value these groups.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: They have spent the draft capital and salary cap capital on the defensive line.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's time for it to start bearing fruit.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously last year, league worst and sex, quarter back hit.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: So what do you do?
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: You trade a third for Osa.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: He comes in.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: You spend another third on Ramello height.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: You spend a fourth on Grayson Houghton.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: And both of those guys aren't practicing right now.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: So that's great.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_01]: You spent the draft picks.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: They're not staying healthy to this point.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully they both play.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: You could use them both.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: You got to see it happen though.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's got it.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's got to become a reality at some point otherwise you spent and did not get the results that you paid for you're going to be in trouble.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, I would love to be able to say that, you know, John Lynch sufficiently addressed the D-line in the off season, but I just, they were dead last and socks.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_03]: You have so many young D-Bs, you know, you needed to make significant additions.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_03]: You did add Oso Digi Zua to the interior, and that should help quite a bit.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_03]: And I think Haltman is a nice pick.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_03]: But man, I was hoping that they would add some real concrete edge rusher as this, you know, as they got closer to the regular season of veteran who'd done it, you know, even a Leonard Floyd, to somebody with a resume, somebody with some career sacks, instead they kind of paraded through some kind of B type guys and then cut them cut them all basically and
- 11:46[SPEAKER_03]: and left themselves kind of thin and are now just asking posts and height to just, you know, carry a lot.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_03]: And also, McCell, you know, and McCell's not going to be ready for the first month, but, you know, I'm sure they were probably tempted to try to rush him back.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't do that.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: I was actually very excited about that conversation and dialogue, the idea of how much they struggled, taking him off the pub and they really wanted to, but they kind of were like, hey, let's focus long term.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: And especially with the young guys, you know, George Kittle knows his body, Christian McCaffrey knows his body, Nick Bosa knows his body, they've been professionals, they've done this.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: Kittle Williams is not.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: And so I was very pleased because the questions, the fans have the same questions, Larry, like the health and fitness staff of the 49ers is in question, and should be what they put out in the amount of entries and re-entries that have taken place, it needs to be called into question.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: that, you know, John Lynch doesn't often give a look behind the curtain.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's he's so political word salad doesn't really let too much out.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: But the fact that he did's talk about, yeah, you know, we struggled.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: We were going to take him off, but we want to do us right long term.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: And so I was very pleased with the way that that part of the press conference went.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and it's an interesting conversation around this T-Line John for a lot of reasons, right?
- 13:07[SPEAKER_03]: The one reason is because I think we all kind of believe that if they can kind of get everybody right, it's not a bad group, you know what I mean?
- 13:18[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, think about it.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_03]: If everybody's healthy and you've got Oso Digi Zua, this is passing down, it's key third downs and passing situations.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_03]: You could have Nick Bosa, Agbo Carronquo, and then Oso Digi Zua and Mikhail Williams inside.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_03]: that could be a very difficult for some to block in passing situations.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_03]: But that's like their ideal best foot forward, everybody's healthy, everybody's active, you know what I mean?
- 13:50[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if we're gonna get there.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see, that's the dream.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_03]: But that's a good looking group right there.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_03]: And Keon, why you've had some really, really good SNAP?
- 14:00[SPEAKER_03]: So I think on paper, there's potential for this to be a very good group.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_03]: But early on, with remote out, with both a missing so much time, with key on white missing time, you know, with, you know, it just seems like they, they seem like they're really challenged right out of the shoot as far as numbers go.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see, you know what I'm saying, though, and if you said, hey.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_03]: They're going to have a run here where it's Bosa and Ocaronqueau outside in Michele and Oso Digi Zua inside.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_03]: That's a pretty damn good foreman front with some really great interior past pressures.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_03]: You might be able to really cook some offensive lines with that for some eventually.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: Eventually.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I would say probably one of the bright spots is the B group behind that with Grace and Halton, CJ West, like James Thompson Jr., you have a lot of players that the 49ers have bet on in this past rush department that you're just waiting to blossom, like you're just waiting.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: They haven't done it yet, but you see the flicker of hope that the 49ers are betting on will it
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: to just step into that role, and then everything's gonna be fine.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: But the 20-Sax last year is an embarrassment.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's just kind of like, all right, I understand what you're trying to do.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: We see the vision.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: Will it happen?
- 15:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, all right.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_03]: So it's a big question.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_03]: Let's hear from Nick in his own words.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_03]: He held court in front of his locker today.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Raj put it out there and we will share it with him.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: We don't wait one second.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, here we go, man, heard the sound coming out of the wrong hole.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_03]: There we go.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_03]: Here we go.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_03]: Here we go.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_03]: Now it's coming out of the right right spot.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_03]: Here we go.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I'm not going to go back too far because every recovery that is ups and downs.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: But it was a long row.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: There's some stuff I dealt with with that tell attendants and then kind of.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of ramped it a little too fast with the football stuff.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: A couple of months ago or whatever.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I kind of told me to back off.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I've just been trying to get it strong and it's confident.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: And myself is confident as I can.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: So where I could quickly band it off, I got a team of stuff today, because once you get into team, there's no reservations, there's no compensation here.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: governor.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: So, say I felt that today and there's, remember my last ACL, there's a couple moments where you just have to go and you're kind of hoping for the best.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you know, it's not going to be like anything crazy.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to happen, but you hope that your body is going to respond the way that you've compared it to.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: And there's a couple moments today where
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: about it.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_03]: There you go, Nick, saying it was a great day.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you could hear all of that.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: The audio is a little low.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's about as excited as it gets, man.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_03]: Nick is not, he's not a scintillating orchard, but you know what?
- 17:44[SPEAKER_03]: Who cares?
- 17:45[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we don't care.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_03]: The job is to rush the past, sir.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_03]: And he does a pretty damn well.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_03]: But he's a concern, and the past rush is a concern.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_03]: And especially when you have a lot of young D.B.s.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_03]: And this was a huge point of emphasis.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_03]: And you're getting to week one with Bosa.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_03]: And Ramello Heights was the most significant addition that you made to that to that room.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_03]: So can you rush the pastors is switching coordinators from Robert Sala to Rheem Morris.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_03]: Is that going to result in more past rush?
- 18:21[SPEAKER_03]: Is there a way that Rheem can scheme up a few more blitzes and maybe a little bit scheme up some some some some pressure.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm always skeptical of that because there's a price to be paid on the back end for sending extra bodies at the quarterback and that's real.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_03]: going to be interesting, but both of us out there today.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_03]: Now Mike Evans was out there today as well.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_03]: We were told yesterday that he was going to practice next week in Melbourne, but he actually was out there today.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think as far as Evans week one?
- 18:51[SPEAKER_03]: They've babyed him all summer.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_03]: And when I say baby, every single time he had something, they were just like, let's air on the side of caution and get you off the field.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_03]: And they were smart, I think they were smart about it to be completely honest, but they did.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_03]: They baby them all summer.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't force them into any action.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_03]: He wasn't 100% committed to participating in and they let him call his shots all summer long, which is the what you do with the future Hall of Famer who's going into his age 32 seasons.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_03]: So what do you expect out of Evans in week one?
- 19:24[SPEAKER_03]: Does he hit the ground running in eight catches, 95 yards, couple red zone, you know,
- 19:32[SPEAKER_03]: or is it far more muted than that?
- 19:34[SPEAKER_03]: Or do you think he's a non-factor?
- 19:36[SPEAKER_03]: I've heard some people believe that Evan's maybe isn't gonna play next week.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think?
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I think he's playing.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he is a person that is, you're an A&M guy.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a longhorn guy.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: I've been on the opposite side of the Mike Evans just,
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: He's an alpha competitor that just bleeds football in competition.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you're keeping them out of this game.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: I really, really don't.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's got to be out there.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: And if Mike Evans plays, he's going to be successful.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: I do believe that.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: He has to be in street clothes on the sidelines every other time for what is it now?
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: 12 years?
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: He is successful every damn time he is in pads on the damn field.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: So if he's out there, good things are going to happen.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the Brock party, Mike Evans connection is perfect.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: I really, I think it is an absolute match skill set wise.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: It might take some time to kind of gel in all that stuff.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: And with the mispractices, maybe that hasn't taken place yet.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: But oh my gosh, can you imagine just look at last season.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: no deep target whatsoever on the roster and so you just dealt with crowded boxes safety crouching down, not wearing corners, not wearing about getting beat deep because Joanne Jennings was your ex.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: He was like a 4-7-4-8 at this point and then you had Ricky Pearsaw at the Z and he's busted up.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't, you know, right?
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: That is going to change immediately because my Kevin doesn't win with speed, but good Lord, he's a power forward.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: He just post up Sean Kip style and do a do his thing.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just excited at the tension that is going to be relieved by having a true vertical deep threat at the x, wide receiver position that is my Kevin's.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: I just think it's going to create so much opportunity for all 11 offense and players.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very excited to see this.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: I really, I'm buying in on my Kevin's.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: I really, really am.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: And if he's in uniform, I expect him to be highly successful.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_03]: I expect him to be very, very productive as well.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, to me, I think Brock pretty to Mike Evans and the Red Zone, as well as Evans runs those routes.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_03]: As dangerous as he is on the high pointing passes in the Red Zone, as great as Brock is as throwing to a spot.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_03]: I think if these guys continue to grind on the practice field, by the time we get to the middle of October, Perti to Evans is going to be borderline unstoppable in the red zone.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_03]: I really believe they're going to work out some combination of three or four plays where
- 22:23[SPEAKER_03]: Brock and him around the exactly the same page and it's going to be virtually impossible to stop.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's that's what I want to see.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_03]: I don't need Mike Evans to make 14 catches a day.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_03]: I don't need Mike Evans to have, you know, an unbelievable, you know, offensive contribution.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_03]: You've got other guys seems got other backs get tight ends wide receivers.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_03]: This isn't a team where he's got to carry the whole load.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_03]: He really doesn't.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_03]: But what I want to see is I want to see a couple of.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_03]: you know it's coming and you cannot stop it in the red zone perity to Evan's type plays.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_03]: You know, young had that with Jerry Rice, right, for years.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_03]: They're gonna throw the slant and yet here comes young and he's throwing the slant.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_03]: And Jerry's still catching it, you know, and it's like how, because they're 42 years old running flat around.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Steve to Jerry, literally, they could have completed those passes in the mid 90s with a dark stadium, you know, completely dark stadium, because they were so in tune with one another.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_03]: And I think we'll see something similar, different, but similar in the red zone between party and Evans, at least that's my hope.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_03]: And I think there's reasonable expectation that we may see
- 23:34[SPEAKER_03]: What about these other injuries?
- 23:36[SPEAKER_03]: How concerned are you about the other ones?
- 23:37[SPEAKER_03]: Today, not practicing.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_03]: No Jack Jones, no Ramello height, no Renardo Green, no Jacob County, no Luke Gifford, no Grace and Holton.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_03]: Evans was back out there.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_03]: Posts it was back out there.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_03]: Price sock and juice got back out there.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_03]: But for the other guys who weren't back out there, is there any of those injuries that you're deeply concerned about in the football center going into week one?
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: stacking the entries is deadly in the NFL.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: And whenever you do that the same position, you can get in trouble real damn quick.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_01]: And so having Ronaldo Green who had a great camp, he was unbelievable.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_01]: He's out in the Jack Jones steps in and it's like holy cow.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: Jack Jones is playing so consistent and so aggressive will Ronaldo Green even get his starting job back whenever he's healthy.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Jack Jones is injured.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: And Nate Hobbes has a practice all training camp preseason.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: So that's three of your top four corners.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: outside corners like that are out.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: So like who's up to the style he's going to stay in the nickel.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: If he's his price stock, Sierra Neil, like who you started at outside corner back, if those two guys now, I don't think that Jack Jones and Renardo Green are going to be out.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think one of them is going to play if not both, but that is problematic and something I'm paying attention to the stacking of injuries is deadly, especially whenever you look at the wide receivers, the Rams are putting out there, at least there's starters.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: Puka and Devonti Adams, that's no joke.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's about as good of a one, two punches you're going to see in today's NFL.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_03]: To the Niners make mistakes at the cut down, should they have put in Riki crews through waivers and not exposed to relative looter?
- 25:19[SPEAKER_03]: I look at it as looter can help teams now and so five teams picked them off for one of them at the waiver wire and the Raiders were awarded the claim.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, Cruz is not ready to play, and yet they didn't expose him to waivers.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_03]: I thought that was a huge error.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_03]: And to me, losing your corner depth in a passing league as you're pairing the roster from 90 to 53 is a major gap.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_03]: I don't like the fact that they lost Luder.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_03]: I'm more of a Luder fan than most, but obviously I'm not alone, because five NFL GMs saw it the same way.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the most claimed player after cut down and and Luder was awesome training camp in preseason.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: He was great last year whenever he stepped in for another green whenever he got benched, you know, several times.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I thought Luder was good, but it was the last year of his contract.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'll be honest, the roster moved that I would have done differently was I would have kept price in East and then I would have cut Jordan Walkins.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but like, and I think within Ricate Cruz, it goes back to the stacking of entries because you had Austin Pleasant, she had Vaderi and low, both those guys were injured.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like, Cruz is one entry away from playing left tackle for the 49ers.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: I know he hasn't looked good, but like, he's better than Brandon Parker.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_01]: You don't cut fifth round picks.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like,
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: These are the problems in the cross-positional depth chart on who to keep on that 53 is rough.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you, Luther should have been kept.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he earned it.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what happens there.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: But in Rikai Cruz, like I like that they kept all their draft picks.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_01]: You don't cut fifth rounders.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's one fifth rounder that got cut, Justin Jolly that's I didn't.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: But Cruz hasn't looked good.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that he has improved game after game, but still not good.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: He would like Cruz look like dude, you should not have been drafted at all to like, all right, seventh rounder, two, and maybe a six rounder.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's a two year developmental player probably, but that's how long you got trip Williams.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: He does have the elite traits.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: He got better, but it was still two, two, two, two bad.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, it's just,
- 27:31[SPEAKER_03]: To me, it's all about, let's worry about next year, next year.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_03]: If you think you have a young Anthony Monios, if you have Jordan Milata and you signed him out of a tryout camp, okay, I don't think that's this.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that's in Riki Cruz.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_03]: I think this is just more like, hey, let's protect Chris Firster's fifth round pick.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, he's got some traits, but it's offensive tackle, and I don't some people think he's more of a guard.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_03]: So I'd best you're talking about a future, you know, down the road, a year and a half from now, right tackle.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_03]: And I just, you know,
- 28:14[SPEAKER_03]: The Niners are frustrating.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_03]: The Niners are frustrating.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they really are.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_03]: I, people like, oh, you think you know more.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I don't think I know more, but I mean, it's, I think at this point, it's kind of undeniable that they've had struggles when you're looking at the 21, 22, 23 drafts.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we could easily call them up right now and show them to everybody and laugh and point fingers and call people on the carpet.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_03]: But we're not going to
- 28:44[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so the people that are in charge aren't always making the right calls, and if you're if that's the kind of content that you do that whoever's in charge always makes the right call, then you know, we're not bootlickers Larry, I won't do it.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to do it either.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_03]: I'd say there's an inherent truth about everything.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_03]: I can live with the inherent truth about myself, but if I'm going to be truthful about myself, then you're going to be truthful about yourself.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_03]: And in this case, you're the 49ers, and they're going to have to be truthful.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_03]: The rest of the league is, you know, I told you guys, I thought Darrell Luder was pretty good.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_03]: Most of you said he can't play.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_03]: I was in that group.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_03]: You told me, you told me, and you were right.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_03]: I hate the guys who sit there and go, I'm right all the time, I'm not right all the time, I'm wrong a lot because I don't try to be right all the time.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_03]: I just give you my honest opinion.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_03]: I was right.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_03]: There you go.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_03]: But on this one, you know, the 40 dinners have have made some mistakes and they've left themselves kind of thin in some spots and now they're, I really kind of feel like
- 29:53[SPEAKER_03]: Enrique Cruz is you don't want to let him go because you drafted him, you know, you're protecting that draft choice, but to our looter was also a draft choice and you let him go and you lost him so I don't quite understand why they did what they did let's move to the next move that I think is kind of in the same caliber as I thought price and east and who Brett beach picked off.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_03]: I played Alfred Collins and I'm a big Alfred Collins fan from last year.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: I interviewed him a bunch.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_03]: I enjoyed talking to him.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_03]: He played great in the ram game.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_03]: He was making improvements.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_03]: They had a shoulder injury.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_03]: He got a surgery.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't look like he's recovered.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_03]: Didn't do anything well this summer.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: Didn't play the run well.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: Didn't play the past well.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_03]: He's not a past pressure.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_03]: So he's got to play the run well or you can't play.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_03]: And he didn't play the run well.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_03]: So today the 49ers you mentioned I'm an A&M guy.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't go to A&M, but I grew up rooting for A&M because my next or neighbor was a big A&M fan.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_03]: And then when I was nine A&M had a home and home with cow, if you can believe it.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_03]: And so the Aggies were out here on the West Coast with Curtis Dickie and all these guys.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I love it man.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_03]: And I went out there with my buddy and they were big A&M.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_03]: alums and donors and, you know, my buddy's dad was a big oil barren guy, he was a big oil man.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_03]: He had all kinds of cash and he was big A and M fan.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, hey, who's your college team?
- 31:18[SPEAKER_03]: Like my dad went to USF and he's like, they don't play football.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, you're an A and M fan now.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_03]: And so I said, okay, I'm an A and M fan.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_03]: I love that.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_03]: So they dragged me out there.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_03]: I was eight years old.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_03]: And you know how things go when you're eight years old nine years old.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, it's like larger than life.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and I'll, I'll never forget it.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_03]: It was a great experience.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_03]: So I've been an M fan.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_03]: So they Niners worked out McKinley Jackson who played at Texas A&M.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_03]: He was a two time team captain at Texas A&M.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and he's, he's a nose guard, right?
- 31:50[SPEAKER_03]: He's a 6133 pound.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_03]: Um, you know, former five star recruit.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_03]: I believe he's a runstuffer.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_03]: third ground pick by the Bengals in the 24 draft.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_03]: They just cut him.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_03]: He's got 33 and 7 eighths inch arms almost 34 inch arms, super long arms, 10 inch hands, very quick first step.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_03]: He's a one tack.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_03]: He's a zero tack.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_03]: He's a nose guard.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_03]: He's an inside player team captain in 22 23 high effort player, not that fast.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_03]: 526 in the 40.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_03]: All freshman team first year in the SEC in 2020.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_03]: Um, has a marijuana arrest in 2021 on his on his on his history strong player though explosive off the snap strong hips really good run plugger is he here because James Thompson was out with a practice injury today or do you think he's here as some kind of insurance policy against Alfred Collins.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think?
- 32:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think they value this position more than any.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like there.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: They only have nine defensive linemen.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of times they keep 11.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_01]: So they're like there.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: And the fact that Grayson Halton and James Thompson Jr. are not practicing.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I do think that this is a long-term developmental signing.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that I haven't signed him yet, by the way, they would just write them out.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: And so like, I don't think he's going to fly out to Australia or anything.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is, let's see how it goes this week.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: If we need a defensive tackle, because we're in dire straits, we'll bring him in next week at him to the practice squad there and then go on from there.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I don't think Alfred Collins has turned in to, like, does, is he the biggest bus ever or do
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: the Niners like them too much like like if there's no middle ground there, here's what I believe and this this attributes to Bryce Neeson Sebastian Valdez Alfred Collins traits matter so much in the NFL.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: Alfred Collins has elite traits elite traits.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's why you went the second round.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_01]: Sebastian Valdez could go out there make all these flash plays.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: He has no traits.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody has wanted him through three years in the NFL.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: He has been on the practice squad.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: Anybody can claim when at any time you put up all that quality tape in the pre-season.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's awesome.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's the Marcus Rush like rule.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like we all remember Marcus Rush where he gets three sacks in a game and gets cut to very next day.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's like what the hell?
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like this guy is killing it out there.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: The NFL believes in pedigree and traits.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: Alfred Collins has aces in that.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: And yes, he has slow to come back from injury.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I love that, where he Morris, he got up there and he said like, you know, they said both CJ and AC is how we refer to them.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: Both of them struggled coming back from injury last year.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: And we saw that.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: But they're play got better and better and better and better.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I am a Texas fan, hardcore.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_01]: Alfred Collins is his best and big money situations, fourth quarter, fourth down, gold line.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: That is where he shines.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: You saw it in the Rams game.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: Thank how much fans are just like, gosh, if we just win week one against the Rams, that would be huge.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, you don't win last year against the Rams without Alfred Collins.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: Not only the fumble of fumble recovery on the gold line, he also was in on the fourth downstop.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you want him to turn into Chris, you know, Jones and B.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_01]: This, you know, six, five elite past rusher, that stuff that happened often.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: There's one Chris Jones.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's not it.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: long-term Alfred Collins is going to be a contributor.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: Guaranteed, the traits say it.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: We saw it in tape last year.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: He has struggled in the preseason.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: I would argue the tape was not near as bad as the public outcry has been.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_01]: Lots of quality in place.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_01]: He ended one drive by himself.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: Made a play on second, down blew up a screenplay, and got a third down tackle for like two yards the very next play and they had to punt three and out.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: Like
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: People don't focus on that.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you got blown off the boy, place too high.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: That is a negative tendency that needs to be coached out.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't mean you should be given up on them.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 35:59[SPEAKER_01]: There's a need at defensive tackle.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: You have two major entries in Grayson, Halton, James Thompson, Jr., don't know how long those guys are going to be out.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: But you have to have a backup plan long term.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_01]: That's where your A&M cat comes in.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: But man, I think that this defensive tackle room, you should be, everybody should be so pumped because it is young, it is full of potential.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: And Alfred Collins, James Thompson Jr. are the opposite sides of the same coin.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: And an ideal world, Alfred Collins out there on 1st and 2nd downstuff in the run, it's a pastoral situation, bringing in James Thompson Jr. he's already excelled at that.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, that is a perfect combination.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_01]: That is complimentary football from two defensive tackles that I think could be here for a very long time together.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_03]: Today in practice, man, you had Chris Cacera, just, you know, they were doing this drill
- 36:50[SPEAKER_03]: fire those hands, fire those hands, you know, he's just screaming at these guys fire your hands, fire those hands, fire them motherfucking hands, you know, I he was just and you could hear, I mean, the Niners have between, yes, they've got some problems on the D line and, you know,
- 37:15[SPEAKER_03]: he on white.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, these three guys, I mean, these guys were firing their hands man.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there were a couple amazing reps. We'll talk more about key on white and a bit, but we're talking about all these guys and men, nobody's talked at all about key on white, but he is at a great summer.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_03]: And that was a terrific draft, a terrific trade by John Lynch,
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: to add this guy.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: This guy is so, so strong and so fast.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to play defensive end, which, you know, hopefully he can get to the quarterback, but he is really, really strong.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_03]: And so, so's, uh, also Diggy Zulin, so's CJ West as far as firing their hands in these drills today.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_03]: Um, couple times these guys fired the hands and Christmas like damn, you know, if
- 38:08[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you're good to go, you know, you want, you want that damn boy.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, seriously, Chris is the way Chris coaches, I mean, it's awesome, right?
- 38:19[SPEAKER_03]: I love, I mean, seriously, if I'm ever kind of like, ah, man, this is getting old, the drudgery of day after day, I'll just go, you know, I'm going to go hang out by Chris's Chris's drill.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_03]: I just walked down there and this guy's MF in this guy and MF in that guy, but he's doing it in the way where he's kind of root young and he, I mean, it's guys awesome, the guy's passionate.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_03]: My favorite.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be at training camp and it's not hot out.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a hot day, right?
- 38:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so everybody's coaching and whatever else they're doing team and I just look over at the nine or sideline, everybody's fine and then you get to Chris Crusader who shirt
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: because he's just, oh, just go ahead and it is the best man.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_03]: He is the best.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't this summer, it was last summer, but you know, I think he bummed a dip from somebody, you know, next is boys man.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, he's like, he's kind of patting his pants and a year somebody go, you know, he's like, man, where's my, where's my tin?
- 39:24[SPEAKER_03]: And then I think he's he bumps a grizzly from somebody right and he puts it in there and I'm standing right there and he kind of gives me the gun and and and then right then like one of the PR girls comes over and she's like excuse me can you move three steps back and Chris looks right at me it looks right over and he goes I don't give a fuck where they stand.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just like, brother, you're the best.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_02]: You are the best.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_03]: Really, really.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_03]: He is a good dude.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_03]: All right, let's do this.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_03]: We've got a few more things I want to cover.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_03]: I guess I left the best for last.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to, we'll move John and I into the corner for just a second.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_03]: We will share the screen.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_03]: Then we will do our prize picks line up for today.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_03]: And wait, we're going to move everything around.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_03]: I got to move some stuff around here.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_03]: So we get everything looks pretty.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_03]: Got to have everything set up right.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, there we go.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_03]: There we go.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_03]: Now we get it.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_03]: Cooking with Greece.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_03]: All right, crew show listeners.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, you know, John's group is here.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_03]: We're co-streaming tonight.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_03]: So it's on both channels.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_03]: But price picks is a brand new offer.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_03]: Price picks is America's number one sports picks app.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_03]: And here's the brand new offer.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_03]: New users play their first $5 line up if you win it.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_03]: They give you 150 bucks in free bonus lineups.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_03]: There you go, download price picks at use code HMA when you sign up.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_03]: That's code HMA and you'll receive $150 in bonus line ups.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_03]: If you're first line up, a $5 or more is victorious.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_03]: All right, let's go to our price picks.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_03]: Take a look at some Niners regular season opener lines.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_03]: Or these are season lines, I should say.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think for 29 and a half season field goals made for Eddie Piniero?
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, that's what I'm looking this up right now because I'm like, Dude, that 50 yard fill goal prop is just like a hold on just a second.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: He made six 50 yard fill goals last year and he only played 14 games.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like more.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: I like more on that too.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, I love that bit.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because he's not only that, Shannon, you know, he's going to, he's so, you know, Shannon's at times is worried about the confidence of the kicker, but he's not with any P. So he's going to put him out there every single possible opportunity to get points.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_03]: And if he misses from 62, so be it.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_03]: He knows he has a kicker that's not mentally fragile.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_03]: And when you have a kicker that's not mentally fragile, you're more willing to try 50
- 41:57[SPEAKER_03]: because you know, even if he misses it, he's going to make the next one.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: He had 250 plus yarders just didn't know last preseason game.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_03]: 59 didn't be connected.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_03]: And it would have been good for like 64.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_01]: And quarter net that was crazy.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: He hit the net like that's five yards behind.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's really one of the more amazing things if you think about it.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_03]: The Niners had a kicker that they couldn't trust from 26 who would shank kicks from 35.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_03]: And now they've got a guy who they love, who makes every kick, including 55 plus, and he doesn't, he doesn't even look like he's striking at all that hard.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's just, I mean, Eddie Paniero is a gift from the NFL Gods.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: I love them man.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_01]: He's so awesome.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go with it.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go with a couple more here.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_03]: You like a pretty one or CMC or a both party rush touchdowns man.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's that three.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's rough because it can push.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: Scroll down just a little more down a little more.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, other way.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: Other way.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, there it is.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the three rushing touchdowns.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, oh, man.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_03]: Though, I mean, come on, man, I do think he's going to be, you know, you're never, he's not going to have cubic keepers.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think he is, but they're going to use K-lon black and short yardage.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_03]: I think I kind of like less on the McAfrey hundred yard days, it's a hundred rush yards.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_03]: 100 rush yards.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_03]: 100 rush yards.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_03]: I think there's going to be a lot of throwing it to the backs this year.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_03]: I really think they're going to throw it to their backs.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: Um, the thing I do a different team, you got to do a different team.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: You can't do all.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's right.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll switch off the Niners here and we'll go to a different team.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_03]: So is there anybody you like here on the the general league season totals?
- 43:54[SPEAKER_03]: Anything that jumps out at you.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_03]: I always like to take some of the older players like less on staff or less on Derek Henry.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_03]: I like some of the older players and play under.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's kind of like there's always going to be injuries if there's any injuries at all.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_03]: These numbers, season numbers get blown out of the water to the under.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: Those are huge numbers like these are big numbers.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, these are assuming health.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: Why would I assume health?
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm 38 year old Stafford.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if he throws 30 interceptions, that's a bad ass year and you know what if they go what if they what if they start off 13 to Know and they clinch a playoff spur spot and they sit him for two weeks and tie Simpson comes in
- 44:33[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I mean, that could derail your wager.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_03]: So I like him less, I like him, like he less.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_03]: All right, let's go with this and we'll put this down for five.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_03]: and see, oh, it's gonna pay a good total here.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_03]: So we will put it in there, and now we will view the lineup, and here it is.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_03]: Four-pick power play, $5 pays 50, any pinnero.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_03]: It's got to make at least six 50 plus yard field goals.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_03]: I love that.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_03]: CMC's got to have two, but not three, 100-yard rush days.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_03]: Matthew Stafford, didn't have to have two.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_03]: We just have to not have three.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_03]: Matthew Stafford has to have 30.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_03]: passing touchdowns, not more, Derek Henry's got to have 1249 rushing yards total, not more.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_03]: If all four of those things happen, our $5 turns into 50.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_03]: So thank you to prize picks for being a proud sponsor of the crew show, and we will put ourselves back in the main stage.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_03]: And move that off to the side.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_03]: All right, a couple of quick mentions before we finish with our strong topics here.

- 48:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_03]: Awesome.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's exactly what I wanted to hear.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_03]: Steve Whitman.

- 48:33[SPEAKER_03]: Teal says two jewels silver star there.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_03]: Alex Larry says AD may not play versus the 49ers.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, what does that say?
- 48:49[SPEAKER_03]: Anthony, yeah, yeah, you talk about it.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_03]: No, what does it say lambs or the lambs?
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: He's talking about the lambs.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I got you.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_03]: I thought he said me.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_03]: I was saying that I didn't believe that Aaron Donald was going to play a few weeks ago.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously now he has signed.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_03]: But the latest is that there's a lot of speculation that maybe he's not going to play in this game.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what, um, yeah, it's been put out there.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_01]: The quote was, uh, week one is on the table with him not leaving until 24 hours before the game, uh, you're going to know if he's on the plane.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's playing if he's not, he's not.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's a, that's an interesting one.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, I think in the future, I could see the NFL mandating the teams fly at the same time.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I mean, are travel at the same in the same window, the fact that the Rams are doing it anyway they want the Niners are doing it anyway they want and it's dramatically different has become a huge subplot to this game.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know that the leagues going to want that in the future.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_03]: I can see there's very controlling.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_03]: I can see them trying to control that in the future.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_03]: What's that now now now now on so now front.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_03]: So Garrett is dealing with knee hasn't practiced lately Spend a while it's been a long time don't work out videos look good, but he had don't fall for the banana and the tailpipe.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean Something tells me he's gonna be pretty good.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I'm gonna sing it.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_03]: I have a scouting report just in on Garrett Yeah, he's pretty good.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_03]: He's pretty good and
- 50:24[SPEAKER_03]: going to be a threat going to be a threat the game.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_03]: That's that's what you know how do you think you know you don't you don't get these YouTube channels without having those incredible incident.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_03]: Wait a second.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, pretty good.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_03]: Miles Garrett's pretty good and could have an impact.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: Here you go.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_03]: He's my ex-factor.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's my ex-factor.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_03]: that is a beautiful line.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_03]: Um, we have this one from T. Oh, five jewels, go team.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_03]: I love it.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, here's Anthony Katanya Anthony Katanya, saying 49, 99, damn it.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_03]: Look at that.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's just another great show.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_03]: I love how the national media is completely disregarding the 49ers chances this year.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_03]: Keep doubling or keep doubting them.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_03]: Larry, I agree with you.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_03]: Give me the Rams to miss the playoffs this year.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_03]: They're old and top heavy go Niners.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I, I, I don't think the, I think the Rams are fools gold.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_03]: I really do, um, nobody, you know, my Kevin's comes to the Niners.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_03]: They're old.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_03]: Aaron Donald goes to the Rams.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_03]: They're stacked.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Niners have George Kittle.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_03]: They're old.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_03]: Rams have Matthew staff and approaching 40.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_03]: They're stacked.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, what's going on here?
- 51:43[SPEAKER_01]: Older Ross or that is the second oldest roster in the NFL, the Rams do.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_03]: Well, actually, we know I actually saw the ages.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_03]: Here is the ages.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_03]: Oldest team in the NFL, according to this, Pittsburgh, 27.70, okay?
- 51:57[SPEAKER_03]: Atlanta number two, 27.63.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_03]: Niners number three, 27.48.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_03]: This is as of two days ago.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_03]: Rams number four, 27.45.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, whether the Niners are older, or the Rams are older, the difference is point is 0.03.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and then, you know, then you mix in, oh, by the way, John Weeks is 175 years old.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: And you know what I mean?
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's down there covering plots in the preseason.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like, man, give this to you to break.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, when I see John Weeks, when I see John Weeks on the sideline running, I'll be like, what's up, bro?
- 52:38[SPEAKER_03]: You're looking good, man.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_03]: He didn't get that a lot.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_03]: So that's he loved John weeks man.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_03]: I love talking to John weeks.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_03]: I see him out there.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, give me hope, man.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_03]: Give me hope for the future when I see guys like you out there.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's it's crazy.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_03]: It's like he's like he's like a short compacted 40 year old version of he looks like a guy with a contest.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's amazing.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_03]: He's doing a damn good job, man.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_01]: His snaps like going from our previous, you know, I don't not trying to throw shade here, but the previous long snapper before him wanted to be involved in everything and it was all about him, him, him, him, him, him.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_01]: He was just a very inconsistent snapper.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I've broken down every single snap for the 49er special team state for the last five seasons.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't missed one snap.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_01]: Go to his date.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, it was bad and now it's just like it's boring breaking it down because every damn snaps perfect every whole's perfect and every kick's good like it's awesome that there's boring special teams tape.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_03]: I just love that boy is here because boy is just a no frills badass awesome he's a badass man like if you told me that I don't know
- 53:50[SPEAKER_03]: you know, John Weeks was pissed at me and he wanted to kick my ass.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_03]: I'd be like, where is he?
- 53:55[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I mean, I'm not that I'm going to kick his ass, but I'm like, you know, I mean, I'm not afraid.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_03]: But if you told me that Brent Boyer wanted to kick my ass, I probably wouldn't show up for like a week.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_03]: Do Brent Boyer looks like he plays for keeps, man.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_03]: Brent Boyer looks tough.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_03]: Does he not, and I felt like former NFL linebacker.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I just love what Brent Boyer's done for the special teams.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_03]: One, there's been more of an investment, but you've got now you look at these special teams.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_03]: You've got a great kicker.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_03]: You got a great punner.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_03]: You got D bow as your kicker Turner.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_03]: Now you got Brandon Kodrington as a return guy.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_03]: That was a great pick up, too.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody really is talking about that.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_03]: That's a great pick up.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_03]: Especially going can't go.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_03]: You've got seron kneel and you've got some of these special teams aces that are really good.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_03]: I haven't felt this good about nine or special teams since, you know, Blake stands out and Brad Sealy.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_03]: You know, since the horrible era.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_03]: Ooh, I like that.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_03]: That was the last time I felt good about the nine or some of the special teams.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_03]: Um, RJ John's is crew chat.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_03]: Love the show.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_03]: I will be at the Atlanta game.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_03]: So definitely be coming to the tailgate in the pre game.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_03]: Let's take a look who picked up Larry worth.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I talk to Larry worth agent and he says the Niners still have interest in bringing back maybe next week.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_03]: If there's the right kind of a need.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_03]: They chose to go with Jalen Graham over Larry Worth.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't have.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_03]: I think that was short-sighted.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_03]: I like Jalen Graham I would have like to keep both of them to be honest.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_03]: I like keeping an extra linebacker to But I was told by the agent that John Schneider is showing a lot of interest in Larry Worth and would like to see I don't would like to put him on the practice squad Which makes perfect sense because he reminds me of Nicky man worry and he has that crazy length so nothing yet and you know the agent is
- 55:49[SPEAKER_03]: Always gonna try to get his client a job, right?
- 55:52[SPEAKER_03]: But the agent also knows him a big fan of Larry worth.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_03]: So I think, you know, Larry would like to come back to the Niners.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_03]: I hope he finds his way back.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_03]: So I really do think this is going to be a really good NFL player who can cover tight ends.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_03]: He needs a developmental year Johnny needs to get a little stronger.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_03]: He needs to learn how to play linebacker.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_03]: He's a definite practice squad guy, not a not a 53 man roster guy this year.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_03]: But I see really exciting upside potential and he would be not he'd be like probably the last guy I'd want to lose with it.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a victim of circumstance in the linebacker room because Nick Martin and Luke Gifford aren't playing so you need help now in the linebacker room.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's where Jalen Graham who plays all three linebacker spots has in the regular season and plays all four special teams groups so like for immediate impact Jalen Graham's the guy long term I think that they would want Larry worth but the fact that you're already down to linebackers and you're traveling like
- 56:49[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that they will bring back lay worth.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_01]: I do think he will be on the 49er's this year, but that's a long term developmental play.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_01]: You need immediate help now, Jalen Graham fits that a little better.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, that's a great point by you, because that's true.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_03]: And also, you know, we're looking at these things, reviewing it from behind, but at the time you have to make these decisions, you don't know who's gonna pick up other guys, you don't know who, what other guys are, are aren't gonna clear, you don't know what's gonna be out there.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_03]: You're doing a lot of these things, kind of flying blind.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_03]: not just to be shocked if it switched those two guys don't be shocked yeah and and don't and like you'll see maneuvers around the league on a number of teams practice quads because you as John just stated uh totally right down right on the money you have that you're your roster and your immediate needs always take precedent
- 57:41[SPEAKER_03]: Um, over developmental, you know, spots.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm hoping we're at the back because I love him.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_03]: Man, thank you.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_03]: He's really talented.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_01]: Tape was good.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_01]: It just rock.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_03]: He had some snaps and camp where he blanketed the tight end in a way where it was like, whoa, Jake Tondis looks like he can't get away from this guy.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_03]: And Jake Tondis is a pretty good receiver.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_03]: Um, Peter said Peter Mojo says wouldn't play Bosa in Oz seems sketch.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's built different, man.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_03]: There you go.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_03]: Meal ticket, five jewels go team.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_03]: We have, I am become death display of words, 10 jewels thumbs up, thumbs up from, wait, let's see if we got that one.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_03]: We have this one from M. Bayless 49er special teams, unit access or asset or liability asset.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_01]: Asset.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_01]: finished last year 13th and DVO special teams just remember the the days we just hope for average this could be a top five special teams unit Larry top five and again back to the whole rams comparing this do they were bottom five last year they've been bottom five almost every single year since McVay's been there it's an neglected thing of shummig vay he doesn't invest in linebackers he doesn't invest in special teams
- 58:53[SPEAKER_01]: So again, if you're looking for these little edges, the hidden yardage, obviously say as a coach, special teams major major checkmark for the Niners over the ramps.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_03]: Shannon was on record as saying that he didn't want to win the game on special teams.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_03]: He just didn't want to lose it on special teams.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_03]: He has since amended that whole mindset.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_03]: And he's prioritized it and was smart to do it.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_03]: Mill tickets as Niners are going to smash the ramps.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_03]: Good to know.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_03]: Him.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_02]: Him.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_03]: Him stof her.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_03]: Him stof her.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_03]: Johnson.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_03]: Rams.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_03]: Equal to 2011 Eagles.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_03]: We can hope.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_03]: Remind me about the 2011 Eagles.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's I think that's right after the Nick Foles one.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_01]: It was an after the Nick Foles one.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's when they fell off the cliff, man.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_01]: Things got real bad.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_03]: All right, there you go.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_03]: So we've hit some of our supers.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_03]: A couple things I want to get to that we haven't gotten to.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_03]: One, and I do want to play this video because I think it's pretty good.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_03]: Hold on just one second.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_03]: And this is a good work.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_03]: We're almost done where we're just wanting.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I do want to share this screen on this one.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I was told that Chase senior put together an amazing video on this and he's talking he's talking oh wait This is not this is the different video.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_03]: First we'll start here.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_03]: We'll go with Brandon I you bring Brandon I you put this out on social media
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_03]: And we're in a redskins hat is where yes, we're in the commanders redskins, whatever.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's all over.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_03]: He's wearing the redskins hat.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_03]: Look at that.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_03]: God is great.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_03]: Blessed morning.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_03]: Hashtag team Jesus.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_03]: We're all for the Lord.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_03]: Some of them.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad he's doing well.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_01]: This is going to turn at some point.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_01]: And so.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_03]: what do you make of this?
- 1:00:49[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's September 2nd.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_03]: He's been, this is the same routine from June.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_03]: If you, there's a path to get back, but this saying it, the path to get back is file for reinstatement.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_03]: The path to get back is to separate from the Niners, the path to get back is to sign, probably a prove it
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_03]: low cost nothing deal and get in another team's building and start showing them what you can and can't do and working your way back dancing to music with hats on in your house.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this is supposed to this guy bought like a 12 million dollar mansion in Virginia.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know man.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_03]: That's really.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, nope.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_01]: Anything to say other than I'm so thankful to Marcus Robinson's wearing 11.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_01]: That makes me happy and that I could see the number and not want to vomit.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, I'm pumped.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_01]: I love to Marcus Robinson.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_01]: You remember everybody say that Marcus Robinson is going to get cut.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: I was like two yards insane.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_03]: Um, all right.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to share the screen on this one.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_03]: My buddy Chase senior.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know if you guys know each other.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_02]: See senior.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_03]: You ever had him on, but some people really don't like Chase.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_03]: And I get it.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he says what he says.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, I mean, come on, every, you know, for the most part, everybody likes you, Johnny, but like if I do stuff with grand, I got people over here.
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my God.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_03]: You're the worst person ever.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_03]: If I have one party on I got to be oh my god he's bootlicking this and that if I have almost everybody you know somebody's like why you know why I love that there's so many options you find your lane whatever you need it's a fan and that's awesome if it's not your flavor hey man that's totally cool.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not everybody's flavor.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_03]: I get that.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm not either, right?
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not either.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a big mouth know it all.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_03]: And I talk way too much about the draft.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_03]: I talk way too much about what I would do as opposed to what the Niners would do.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_03]: You know, there's, you know, I do it the way I want to do it, but other people do it the way they want to do it.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's wonderful.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_03]: What would be really fucking boring is if we all copied one another.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_03]: But we don't.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_03]: But I am going to copy this from Chase because he has a video out on Should the Niners trade for Quentin Nelson.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think the Niners should trade for Quentin Nelson.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_03]: Let's see what Chase says and then we'll talk about it.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_02]: Make the call, John Lynch.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_02]: How often over the years have we been talking about how this night or is offensive one has held them back in the biggest of games?
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the answer to that problem could be in the AFC South as contract talks between the cults and five-time all-pro-offensive guard according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN are quote, stagnant.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_02]: This would be a dream trade target for San Francisco.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_02]: Quit Nelson is an all-time player, you put them along this offensive line with Trent Williams, protecting Brock Perti, it helps your past protection, it helps your run game, which last year was lacking in a big way, as all year San Francisco could not manufacture explosive plays on the ground.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_02]: And again, how many times over the years have we talked about how the Niners' Offensive Line Issues going up against top tier defenses have killed them, especially last year, against the eventual Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks?
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_02]: The Niners can go from having huge issues along the interior offensive line to solving it with the trade of Quentin Nelson.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_02]: Now of course.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_02]: What would it cost?
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_02]: It would cost a pretty penny.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_02]: Even though Nelson is 30 years old, it would probably require San Francisco to send Indianapolis to higher-round picks.
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_02]: Not going to be a first-rounder, but maybe a second and a third, but have San Francisco believes.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_02]: that they are truly a super bulk contender going into 2026 this move makes so much sense.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_02]: John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan all throughout the offseason kept talking about over and over again how they need to be a more explosive offense.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_02]: You can become an explosive offense with your ground game and through the air if you show up your offensive line and a Brock pretty, is it running for his life?
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_02]: Anytime the Niners go up against an upper echelon defense, Kyle Shanahan is a great play call.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_02]: He's a great offensive mind.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_02]: He's a great play designer, but you can't outskim a bad offensive line.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_02]: and too often, Kyle Shanahan has thought that.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't understand why the Niners have the offensive line philosophy that they've had over the last few years.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's time to pull the trigger, call the cults, and just see what it would cost to get Clinton Nelson in a Niners uniform.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm all about that.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_03]: You know, here's the thing on this.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_03]: Love Chase hate Chase.
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's a great idea.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_03]: This is how the 40 winners are gonna win the Super Bowl.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_03]: Can Brock pretty want a Superbowl?
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Jaylin hurts want a Superbowl, but how do you do it?
- 1:05:57[SPEAKER_03]: He had to say, Juan Barclay, a killer offensive line, and a great defense.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_03]: And they won the Superbowl.
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_03]: We've only watched Brock pretty operate.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_03]: behind, you know, in tragic situations, either with guys, you know, weapons that are hurt and offensive line that can't protect, the guy has never really done it where he's got, you know, where they're running for eight yards and it's second and two, and he's gotten, you know, it's just when you can run the ball at will, like the Eagles ran it when they won the Super Bowl,
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody looks good.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_03]: Brock Perti is plenty good enough to win the Super Bowl if the Niners could ever really run it in the in that preseason game against Tennessee
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_03]: where the Niners started to run it behind Carver Willis and Enrique Cruz in that there was a play sequence there, John.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_03]: It was like four or five runs in a row by Kubiak, behind Carver Willis and Enrique Cruz.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_03]: And watching that, I'm thinking of myself, you know what, if the Niners could ever bully people and run the ball and they got good runners now.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_03]: And if they could just have that line and bully people a little bit,
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_03]: I think Brock Perti can win more than one Super Bowl.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think Brock Perti can win us win multiple Superballs.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_03]: I think they could win the whole thing with what they have if they just had the ability to run the ball and play action pass off of it.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_03]: Instead, they actually, they could not run the ball.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_03]: And so how do you play action pass off it?
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, but they found a way to do it and beat the Eagles and the playoffs.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_03]: They have to run the ball, but I mean, right now that Seattle front is so strong, and I was talking to Jared Patterson in the locker room, and I said, man, you played at Notre Dame with some great offensive line coaches and players.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, what was it like he's like, oh, yeah, man, quit Nelson.
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_03]: I said, yeah, talk to me about quit Nelson.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_03]: What was so what made makes quit Nelson.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_03]: He plays your position.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_03]: I go, what makes him so good.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, oh, he's ungodly strong.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, it's the ridiculous strength that he has.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_03]: But then he's super smart, he's super nasty.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_03]: He works on his film.
- 1:08:17[SPEAKER_03]: He knows where his hand placement is.
- 1:08:19[SPEAKER_03]: But he's like, the first thing is just the enormous strength and he's got great mobility and the combination is really deadly.
- 1:08:26[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what it would take.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_03]: But this is the move that I would be interested in making.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_03]: Cole, get the most, I mean,
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_03]: Byron Murphy ain't going anywhere.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_03]: Leonard Williams just signed a new three year extension.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_03]: Pune a Ford ain't going anywhere.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_03]: Aaron Donald and Miles Garrett aren't going anywhere.
- 1:08:44[SPEAKER_03]: See, I mean, even Arizona's got Walter Nolan inside.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_03]: You gotta have somebody who can block inside and brindles at the end.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_03]: They got questions on left guard.
- 1:08:54[SPEAKER_03]: Pony, I don't know, I mean, we'll see.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what it would take, John.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_03]: I want Quentin Nelson, I agree with Chase.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_03]: Make that call, get this player.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's a huge, he would be the guy in my opinion, to go get.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if he's available, yes, and the cults definitely need picks.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_01]: They traded everything away for a corner that's not healthy, uh, which was just strange in and of itself anyway, but yeah, if the cults were open to trading quit Nelson, yes, perfect fit, I'm willing to pay.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_01]: Probably wouldn't spend a second and a third as chasing just did there, but a second and a player, now let's talk second and a future third, now let's talk.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but he's that damn good last year of his contract 18 million dollars a year.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think I heard from one of your shows, um, yeah, it's so like, yeah, it's a fit.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_01]: And it's your biggest weakness on the roster, the problem, the 49ers don't value that position that much.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_01]: They just don't.
- 1:09:50[SPEAKER_01]: And in the Shanahan Chris Forster scheme, whether we like it or not, it's easy on two positions on offense.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's easy on the offensive line and it's easy for quarterbacks.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's been so much of the wide receiver position in draft capital, salary cap, all that kind of stuff.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_01]: They feel like, and we've heard Chris Forster say this, give me an adequate average player, and we can make this line work.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Mike Clay of ESPN just put out his offensive line rankings where he ranks all five starters for all 32 teams.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_01]: Now, he just came out eighth.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_01]: You have three quality offensive linemen and obviously Trent Williams, Colton McKibitz and Dominate Kuni, the problem with the run game.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_01]: And this is why I struggle so much defending or supporting Jake Brindle is the run game tape is just a bit more consistently.
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_01]: He has no functional play strength and he cannot move anybody that is a defense of tackle in the NFL.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_01]: He just cannot do it, plus he stops a second before the snap every single play or before the whistle.
- 1:10:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's a problem.
- 1:10:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's why you draft Carver Willis.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think Carver Willis was drafted to be the eventual center replacement.
- 1:11:00[SPEAKER_01]: Next year, this is Jake Rendell's last year as well.
- 1:11:03[SPEAKER_01]: If you can get Quentin Nelson, you get him.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_01]: You got away for the cults to want to get rid of him.
- 1:11:07[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they'd be open to trading him right now.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_01]: But if the cult season goes like I think the cult season is going to go he will be available and probably October That's kind of what the 49ers love to do see wait and see you go for your big trades at the trade deadline Almost all the big trades the 49ers have made have either been before the draft or before the trade deadline They don't really do that week one week two or leading into the season
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_01]: not really their style.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_01]: But before the trade deadline, if they think they have a legitimate chance, they will last year.
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_01]: They did not think they had a legitimate chance with all the injuries.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_01]: So they did some smaller trades.
- 1:11:47[SPEAKER_01]: But we've seen them go big, Christian McCaffrey, the manual Sanders.
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_01]: You've seen some of those chase young.
- 1:11:53[SPEAKER_01]: If the team looks like it can compete, they will swing for the fences.
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_01]: We got to wait and see where they're at at the trade deadline.
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_03]: Good, and I think it's a good assessment.
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_03]: Last one before we bolt for the door, we do have one less super here from him, Stuffer, Johnson, BA got CT from a knee injury isn't sane.
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:12:14[SPEAKER_03]: You mean, seriously, his situation so sad.
- 1:12:18[SPEAKER_03]: And it just because you're seeing a guy crashing.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_03]: But last topic here before we go, you know, at, I'm gonna get,
- 1:12:26[SPEAKER_03]: on the radio at 9 o'clock, and one of the topics we're going to talk about are, who would you give your award to?
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_03]: Now we're moving from the, you know, the OTA's training camp preseason to its now counts, right?
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_03]: Real solid line here.
- 1:12:42[SPEAKER_03]: Up to this point, nothing really mattered up to from this point on kind of everything matters.
- 1:12:48[SPEAKER_03]: That all being said, give me a player
- 1:12:51[SPEAKER_03]: that you think under the radar really shined this summer because we talk about the stars a lot.
- 1:13:00[SPEAKER_03]: You and I talk about rank and file players quite a bit because we go a little deeper, but we still, you and I spend a lot of time talking about stars because we know that's what the audience cares about.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_03]: Give me an under the radar man this guy shined this summer.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_01]: There are certain positions that they're at their best when you don't notice them, when they can erase a play, especially the D.I.M.
- 1:13:25[SPEAKER_01]: a defensive background guide, defensive coordinator or whatever.
- 1:13:30[SPEAKER_01]: Marky Seagull.
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_01]: I know a lot of people don't love them, but there were so many times going through preseason tape and you know, out there at practice where the first read was Marky Seagull's guy, but he was anticipating the route so much that the quarterback just moved off of his first read.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, he's not getting an interceptions and whatever else, but it's like, dude, that's what you want out of the safety.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_01]: They literally call it their race or roller, at least they used to.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_01]: We're like, hey, we don't need to notice you.
- 1:13:58[SPEAKER_01]: And the more we don't notice you, the better things are going to happen.
- 1:14:01[SPEAKER_01]: And so Markey Seagulls just one of those guys that's always been right where he needs to be.
- 1:14:06[SPEAKER_01]: Just hasn't made the plays yet.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_01]: Those windows are tiny in the NFL.
- 1:14:10[SPEAKER_01]: But man, I see a player that has made a step up.
- 1:14:14[SPEAKER_01]: Safety's are not good for the 49ers collectively, but Markey Seagulls, one of those guys on that list.
- 1:14:19[SPEAKER_03]: I love it.
- 1:14:20[SPEAKER_03]: I love it.
- 1:14:20[SPEAKER_03]: The two guys that they come to mind when I think of underrated under the radar guys who had great summers to Marcus Robinson.
- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_03]: And we're seven.
- 1:14:29[SPEAKER_03]: Number 11.
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_03]: Number 11.
- 1:14:31[SPEAKER_03]: Brock Perty and to Marcus Robinson have a great rapport and we, in its funny.
- 1:14:36[SPEAKER_03]: if you talk about the Niners, you talk about every receiver that they have, even receivers that they don't have, get talked about more than to Marcus Robinson.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_03]: Mike Evans, more talk about him, more talk about Debo, more talk about dribbling, more talk about Jordan Walkins, Jacob Cowling, Hector's more talk about Ricky Pearcell and yet to Marcus Robinson has this unbelievable
- 1:15:02[SPEAKER_03]: rapport with Brock Perti right now and watching Brock Perti and knowing kind of the way it goes when the windows get really tight, you know, the games count for real and all the sudden it's really hard to complete passes.
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_03]: It's like the guys you're in most lockstep with are the guys you're going to go to.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_03]: The Marcus Rock Perti to Marcus Robinson has been a thing all summer.
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_03]: And I think to Marcus Robinson is going to have a much bigger year.
- 1:15:29[SPEAKER_03]: He was great in the playoffs, Brock told me three weeks ago, man.
- 1:15:32[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about it in the off season.
- 1:15:34[SPEAKER_03]: We got to get this guy more involved.
- 1:15:36[SPEAKER_03]: I think he has a big year.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_03]: And then the other guy that I really think is, and I saw him today and I was like, wow, man, this guy in a couple of reps today that we're just in spectacular.
- 1:15:45[SPEAKER_03]: Key on white looks like he's going to go off.
- 1:15:48[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you're talking about a 285 pound, 290 pound defense event who can really bend and get to the quarterback and he's healthy and ready and roll in right now.
- 1:15:58[SPEAKER_03]: He looks good.
- 1:16:00[SPEAKER_03]: I would not be surprised if Key on white has the most productive NFL year of his career this year.
- 1:16:06[SPEAKER_03]: So those are my two guys to Marcus Robinson, Key on White.
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_03]: Johnny, I'm going to give you the final word before we go bolt for the door.
- 1:16:14[SPEAKER_03]: We also have this one came in late, but I like this format.
- 1:16:17[SPEAKER_03]: Here you go.
- 1:16:18[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, Phil.

- 1:16:20[SPEAKER_01]: Phil, D. Borg.
- 1:16:22[SPEAKER_01]: Good luck with that one.
- 1:16:24[SPEAKER_01]: He looks like sourdough Sam.
- 1:16:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's covered it.
- 1:16:26[SPEAKER_01]: Partied with us and see how it all a few times.
- 1:16:28[SPEAKER_01]: Phil is about as good a human as you're going to get.
