New Study Highlights Unseen Mental Health Pressures Of Farm Families
A new study has highlighted the often unseen mental health pressures experienced by members of farm families across Ireland. The Farm FaMHealth project, led by Dublin City University, found that spouses, parents and children can experience similar challenges to primary farmers, while many delay seeking support until they reach a crisis point. The research has now led to a new preventative programme aimed at helping farm families recognise stress, support each other and seek help earlier.
