SPEAKER_00: This is Brendan Stacy with Let's Wind with Brendan Stacy, and we're back with another episode.
• 0:04
SPEAKER_00: And we really have no direction on this one.
• 0:06
SPEAKER_00: We thought we'd just give a little review on um where we went out last night.
• 0:10
SPEAKER_00: We had a good time.
• 0:10
SPEAKER_00: We went to a place unwind and tap.
• 0:12
SPEAKER_00: We hadn't really been out out like that in a while.
• 0:14
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 0:15
  SPEAKER_01: I mean it wasn't a wild place.
• 0:16
  SPEAKER_01: No.
• 0:17
SPEAKER_01: The atmosphere was nice though.
• 0:19
SPEAKER_01: I love a big, shiny, pretty bar and how that was lit up.
• 0:22
SPEAKER_01: I like the U shape of the bar so you can kind of watch the room and what's going on around you, which we're good at people watching.
• 0:29
  SPEAKER_01: So that was nice.
• 0:31
SPEAKER_01: But I've never had wine on tapped.
• 0:33
  SPEAKER_01: I haven't either.
• 0:33
  SPEAKER_01: It's new.
• 0:34
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 0:34
  SPEAKER_00: It was good.
• 0:35
  SPEAKER_00: I was like, hmm.
• 0:36
SPEAKER_00: I'm I want to think it was something extra special.
• 0:38
SPEAKER_00: I asked if it was local.
• 0:39
SPEAKER_00: They told me it was from California.
• 0:41
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 0:41
  SPEAKER_00: Good.
• 0:41
SPEAKER_00: I mean it was different flavors too than I'd normally get to try the flight of wine.
• 0:45
  SPEAKER_00: True.
• 0:45
SPEAKER_00: So we had a flight of wine.
• 0:47
SPEAKER_00: Well, well, I had two f oh that's right.
• 0:49
  SPEAKER_00: That's right.
• 0:49
  SPEAKER_00: You did.
• 0:50
  SPEAKER_00: Some extra.
• 0:51
SPEAKER_01: I had two flights of uh the wine.
• 0:53
  SPEAKER_01: So I did.
• 0:54
SPEAKER_00: So she did that because I don't share.
• 0:55
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Brenda wouldn't share.
• 0:57
  SPEAKER_01: So, which is fine.
• 0:58
SPEAKER_01: But, you know, it was eight ounces of wine.
• 1:00
SPEAKER_01: Basically, it was two ounces of each flavor.
• 1:02
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 1:02
SPEAKER_01: And then the variety was nice.
• 1:05
SPEAKER_01: I, like a human, got a real wine glass to drink my flights out of.
• 1:08
  SPEAKER_01: That's right.
• 1:09
SPEAKER_01: Instead of slamming them like shots.
• 1:11
  SPEAKER_00: I didn't do that.
• 1:12
SPEAKER_00: Although it was on my mind.
• 1:14
SPEAKER_00: I felt like I was drinking it much faster than normal because it was in little glasses.
• 1:18
  SPEAKER_00: And not in.
• 1:19
SPEAKER_00: Like each one was a gulp.
• 1:20
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no.
• 1:21
SPEAKER_01: It was supposed to be tasted and enjoyed.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_01: And I did my two flights of wine, and then she was like, Well, which one do you like?
• 1:27
  SPEAKER_01: What do you want?
• 1:27
  SPEAKER_01: I was like, a beer.
• 1:28
SPEAKER_00: Did you smell your wine before you gulped it?
• 1:31
  SPEAKER_00: I did.
• 1:31
  SPEAKER_01: Did you?
• 1:31
SPEAKER_01: I smelt it and kind of tried to enjoy it.
• 1:34
  SPEAKER_01: I liked them all.
• 1:35
SPEAKER_01: There was not one that I just thought never again.
• 1:38
  SPEAKER_00: I liked them all.
• 1:39
  SPEAKER_00: So now you're a wine connoisseur.
• 1:40
SPEAKER_00: What do they call those?
• 1:41
  SPEAKER_00: A connoisseur not a conner.
• 1:42
  SPEAKER_00: No simolier.
• 1:43
SPEAKER_00: Am I saying that word wrong?
• 1:45
  SPEAKER_00: What the hell?
• 1:46
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna have to look that.
• 1:47
SPEAKER_00: There is a word for a wine person who is an expert on wine tasting.
• 1:51
SPEAKER_00: I want to say simolier, and that sounds ridiculous coming out of my mouth.
• 1:54
SPEAKER_01: I don't know what the hell you're trying to say.
• 1:57
SPEAKER_01: But I could be one of those professionally.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_00: Whatever it is, you don't know what to call it.
• 2:01
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't know what it is, but I could be one of those.
• 2:03
SPEAKER_01: And but I don't want to spit.
• 2:04
  SPEAKER_01: I'm a swallower.
• 2:05
SPEAKER_01: I probably would be drunk every day after that class.
• 2:09
SPEAKER_01: I'm probably saying it wrong.
• 2:10
  SPEAKER_01: Somer.
• 2:12
  SPEAKER_01: No.
• 2:12
  SPEAKER_00: Sommelier?
• 2:14
  SPEAKER_00: I think I was closer.
• 2:14
  SPEAKER_00: Sommelier.
• 2:15
  SPEAKER_00: Simolier.
• 2:16
  SPEAKER_01: Sommelier.
• 2:17
  SPEAKER_01: It's French.
• 2:18
  SPEAKER_01: Well, like I'm French.
• 2:19
  SPEAKER_01: All right.
• 2:20
SPEAKER_01: Leaders of pristine wine service and cultivators of an elevated dining experience.
• 2:26
  SPEAKER_01: See, it's a word.
• 2:27
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we could use our skills and knowledge to create a wine list, coordinate food pairings, felicitate wine education, and more.
• 2:33
SPEAKER_00: Are we really going to take the time to do that though before we start drinking?
• 2:36
SPEAKER_01: So I'm not going to be able to do that because I'm the girl who had two flights of wine, all eight different, different flavors, and then ordered a beer.
• 2:45
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there you go.
• 2:46
  SPEAKER_01: Classy.
• 2:47
  SPEAKER_01: You are classy.
• 2:48
  SPEAKER_01: I know.
• 2:48
  SPEAKER_01: With my bacon bits.
• 2:50
  SPEAKER_01: That wasn't bits.
• 2:51
  SPEAKER_01: That was hangin' bacon.
• 2:53
SPEAKER_01: I never had anything like it, but I'm going to do that from now on.
• 2:57
SPEAKER_00: Please tell me those little scissors didn't come home with you.
• 2:59
  SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
• 3:00
SPEAKER_01: I didn't know I was supposed to have scissors to eat bacon.
• 3:03
  SPEAKER_01: Well, now you know.
• 3:04
  SPEAKER_01: Now I know.
• 3:04
SPEAKER_01: I think I only cut one the rest of them.
• 3:06
SPEAKER_01: I just janked off that little hook and went to town.
• 3:08
SPEAKER_01: But the dips were so interesting that you dipped your bacon in that it was just sweet and savory, and some of them were the spicy dip.
• 3:17
SPEAKER_01: It was just an episode of just explosion of flavors in your mouth.
• 3:21
SPEAKER_01: And I'm doing it again.
• 3:22
SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna say one more thing about the bacon flight.
• 3:25
SPEAKER_01: You know I love pork rinds.
• 3:26
SPEAKER_01: At the bottom of the bacon, it was lined up.
• 3:29
SPEAKER_01: I mean, just gooey gooey hot pork rinds.
• 3:32
SPEAKER_01: So I have bacon, pork rinds, and all the dips.
• 3:36
SPEAKER_01: So now you see why I had cold beer instead of going for more wine, because it was good with the bacon.
• 3:41
SPEAKER_00: I mentioned to Stacy last night that I hadn't seen her eat pork rinds since my 30th birthday when we were in a limousine.
• 3:47
SPEAKER_00: And Stacy s managed to spill a bunch of them on the limousine floor.
• 3:51
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 3:51
SPEAKER_00: And for more fun, I was disgusted by them because it was one of those with hair on it.
• 3:56
SPEAKER_00: You know how some of them get a piece of hair?
• 3:57
SPEAKER_00: You grabbed it out of my hand and put it in your mouth anyway.
• 4:00
SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, I was probably trash.
• 4:02
SPEAKER_00: I think that was before we got out of Spring Lake.
• 4:05
SPEAKER_01: Like it's the first time we've ever eaten a hair without caring.
• 4:08
SPEAKER_01: But you saw it and knew it was on there.
• 4:10
  SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
• 4:10
  SPEAKER_01: I don't remember that at all.
• 4:12
SPEAKER_01: But you say it happened.
• 4:13
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, it happened.
• 4:14
  SPEAKER_01: I believe you.
• 4:15
  SPEAKER_00: It happened.
• 4:16
SPEAKER_00: It sounds like something I'd do.
• 4:17
  SPEAKER_00: I know.
• 4:18
SPEAKER_00: The girl that waited on us, she was so nice and so sweet.
• 4:21
SPEAKER_00: And she was quick to tell me when she knew what I ate and what I didn't, you know, what things were cooked in, that kind of thing.
• 4:27
SPEAKER_00: She even told you like to have your bacon first, didn't she?
• 4:29
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 4:29
SPEAKER_00: I mean, she had it down to science.
• 4:31
SPEAKER_01: I thought I wanted my salad, and then I wanted the bacon.
• 4:35
SPEAKER_01: And she was like, No, I think you should switch.
• 4:38
SPEAKER_01: Well, first she said she didn't think I should get the bacon if I didn't have anybody's shirt with, but she never met me.
• 4:42
SPEAKER_00: It was four pieces of bacon.
• 4:43
SPEAKER_00: Who can't eat four pieces of meat?
• 4:45
  SPEAKER_00: I could eat it.
• 4:46
SPEAKER_01: So I brought home a little piece of bacon and a little of some of the pork rinds just to show Jeff how it was.
• 4:52
SPEAKER_01: But I promise you, the next day that he is off is five o'clock somewhere.
• 4:56
SPEAKER_01: We're going to that place.
• 4:57
  SPEAKER_01: Do it.
• 4:58
  SPEAKER_01: We're going.
• 4:58
SPEAKER_01: You need a date night.
• 5:00
  SPEAKER_01: We're going there.
• 5:00
SPEAKER_01: He's going to enjoy it.
• 5:02
SPEAKER_01: Just trust me, he's going to be happy.
• 5:03
SPEAKER_01: What do you think of our boy Ryan?
• 5:05
SPEAKER_01: Ryan was like the bar back, I think that's what you call him.
• 5:08
SPEAKER_01: Kind of the support of the bar person.
• 5:10
  SPEAKER_01: He was amazing.
• 5:11
  SPEAKER_01: He was good.
• 5:12
  SPEAKER_01: He was so good.
• 5:13
  SPEAKER_01: Very attentive.
• 5:14
SPEAKER_01: He was kind of like a in stealth mode.
• 5:17
SPEAKER_01: So he's a young kid who's going to make it because I do think we talked about that like he cared what he was doing.
• 5:22
SPEAKER_01: And it it makes a huge difference when you give a shit.
• 5:26
SPEAKER_01: It makes a huge difference.
• 5:27
SPEAKER_00: When those two are working next time, I'd be thrilled.
• 5:30
SPEAKER_01: It's all I need, Elsie and Ryan.
• 5:31
  SPEAKER_01: Very sweet, very knowledgeable.
• 5:33
SPEAKER_01: I love someone who's going to be honest with you.
• 5:34
SPEAKER_01: Are you sure you want to do that?
• 5:36
  SPEAKER_01: Yes, I'm sure.
• 5:36
SPEAKER_01: But I did order spinach as my prequel.
• 5:39
SPEAKER_01: I had a half a spinach of like sauteed spinach that was so good.
• 5:43
SPEAKER_01: I could ate a whole bowl just of that.
• 5:45
  SPEAKER_00: I know.
• 5:45
SPEAKER_00: I mean what constitutes a half in a hole?
• 5:47
  SPEAKER_01: The amount of serving.
• 5:48
SPEAKER_01: The half a serving or full serving of I don't know what their half and a hole is.
• 5:53
  SPEAKER_00: I know.
• 5:54
  SPEAKER_00: Not that it mattered.
• 5:55
SPEAKER_00: I had the broccoli and cauliflower.
• 5:57
SPEAKER_00: Oh, and I was bad.
• 5:58
SPEAKER_00: I had the bread pudding, but I had to.
• 6:00
  SPEAKER_00: It had bourbon.
• 6:01
SPEAKER_00: So I dumped some of that on there and I was in heaven.
• 6:04
  SPEAKER_00: Absolute heaven.
• 6:05
SPEAKER_01: Did you do the sh just shoot the rest of the bourbon?
• 6:07
SPEAKER_00: You put it in the diet cover.
• 6:09
SPEAKER_00: I made a whole nother drink out of it.
• 6:11
  SPEAKER_00: That's right.
• 6:12
SPEAKER_00: But that bread pudding was good.
• 6:14
  SPEAKER_00: Was it?
• 6:14
SPEAKER_00: When it first came out, I'll be honest, because I'm, you know, I'm one of those people, you know, buffet and I'm used to seeing all the white cream on it.
• 6:20
  SPEAKER_00: It didn't have that.
• 6:21
SPEAKER_00: So I'm looking at it like, okay, something's missing on here.
• 6:24
SPEAKER_00: After I put that bourbon on there and ate it, it was the best thing I think I ever had.
• 6:27
SPEAKER_00: I think if it had the white cream on it, that bourbon would have No, it wouldn't have had the same effect.
• 6:32
  SPEAKER_00: Wow.
• 6:32
  SPEAKER_00: But I was happy.
• 6:33
SPEAKER_00: And luckily it was enough, but not too much.
• 6:35
SPEAKER_00: So at least I had some portion control.
• 6:37
SPEAKER_00: I was telling Stacy if that had been in a 9x13 pan, I'd have probably ate the whole thing.
• 6:41
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, I mean, it did look and smell good.
• 6:44
SPEAKER_01: There were some other desserts there that I would have chosen, probably besides that one, just because I'm not a bread pudding girl.
• 6:50
SPEAKER_01: But the other stuff in the dessert drinks.
• 6:53
SPEAKER_01: I could just go in there for dessert.
• 6:54
  SPEAKER_00: I know.
• 6:55
SPEAKER_00: Right now we look crazy.
• 6:56
SPEAKER_00: Don't have to put a bra on.
• 6:57
  SPEAKER_01: I have a bra on.
• 6:58
SPEAKER_01: Well, you're ahead of me then.
• 7:00
  SPEAKER_01: Thank you very much.
• 7:01
  SPEAKER_01: I didn't go that far.
• 7:02
SPEAKER_00: I took a shower and threw clothes on.
• 7:03
SPEAKER_01: She probably wouldn't even recognize us if we went in there now.
• 7:06
  SPEAKER_01: I know.
• 7:06
SPEAKER_01: No makeup or I know, but I had such a good time.
• 7:10
SPEAKER_01: I think we needed that.
• 7:11
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we did need that.
• 7:12
SPEAKER_01: And it's not far from where we are.
• 7:14
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, very neat place.
• 7:15
SPEAKER_01: And I'm so glad that we, you know, decided to go there.
• 7:18
SPEAKER_01: We've been talking about it forever.
• 7:20
SPEAKER_01: Every time we drive by, you're like, we need to go there.
• 7:22
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we need to go there.
• 7:23
  SPEAKER_01: I haven't mentioned I want to go.
• 7:25
SPEAKER_01: But I wasn't even sure if they serve food.
• 7:26
SPEAKER_00: It is supposed to be shareable food.
• 7:28
SPEAKER_00: I am the meanie who doesn't like to share, but if you are a family that likes to share, they presented so you can.
• 7:34
  SPEAKER_01: Yes, very much so.
• 7:35
SPEAKER_01: I think it would be fun to go there with people who actually share and you know, like humans, and enjoy and be able to taste more of the things.
• 7:43
  SPEAKER_01: Can I have a bad light?
• 7:44
  SPEAKER_01: Can I have a bad light?
• 7:45
  SPEAKER_01: Like normal human beings.
• 7:46
  SPEAKER_01: No share.
• 7:47
SPEAKER_01: I'll sit at my own table.
• 7:48
SPEAKER_00: If somebody tries to touch my pot sticker, I swear I'll put a fork through their palm.
• 7:52
  SPEAKER_00: It's so rude.
• 7:53
  SPEAKER_00: Don't touch my food.
• 7:54
  SPEAKER_00: That's rude.
• 7:54
SPEAKER_00: Of course, in there they tell you it's for sharing.
• 7:57
SPEAKER_00: But if I was at like Olive Garden, you tried to touch off my plate, I'dn't take that whole table over.
• 8:01
  SPEAKER_00: That's insane.
• 8:02
  SPEAKER_01: That is so insane.
• 8:04
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I understand if it was a complete and total stranger.
• 8:08
SPEAKER_01: But I'm not a complete and total stranger to you.
• 8:11
SPEAKER_01: So if I just take my fork and take a whole pot sticker, not even just a bite off the one, and I trade you something on my plate.
• 8:19
SPEAKER_00: I might not want anything on your plate.
• 8:20
SPEAKER_00: If I offered it to you, that's okay.
• 8:22
SPEAKER_00: But if you came and took it without being offered, if you asked it, I'm gonna say no.
• 8:25
SPEAKER_00: But if it's offered because I don't want it, then that's fine.
• 8:27
SPEAKER_00: You just don't want to do it.
• 8:31
  SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't.
• 8:32
  SPEAKER_00: I just wouldn't do that.
• 8:34
  SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
• 8:35
SPEAKER_01: If I could find some sharing and caring human beings.
• 8:38
SPEAKER_01: You and Jeff go on a date.
• 8:39
  SPEAKER_01: We're gonna go on a date.
• 8:39
SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna find friends who will share and care.
• 8:41
SPEAKER_00: And uh go there again so I can try more stuff.
• 8:43
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, eat fun.
• 8:44
  SPEAKER_00: There you go.
• 8:44
SPEAKER_00: You can sit with them at the bar and I'll sit in the corner and stare and give you squinty eyes.
• 8:48
  SPEAKER_00: That's fine.
• 8:49
SPEAKER_01: I mean you can sit with us, you'd just be jealous we're sharing all our stuff and having so much fun.
• 8:53
  SPEAKER_00: I don't think I would be.
• 8:54
  SPEAKER_00: What?
• 8:55
SPEAKER_00: There is nothing fun about sharing food.
• 8:57
SPEAKER_00: I don't see the fun in it.
• 8:58
  SPEAKER_00: I'm on a mission.
• 8:59
  SPEAKER_00: Sharing is caring.
• 9:01
  SPEAKER_00: That's bullshit.
• 9:02
SPEAKER_00: And you've missed that gene.
• 9:03
  SPEAKER_00: I did.
• 9:04
SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's because I was raised as an only child.
• 9:07
SPEAKER_01: I was pretty much raised as an only child, and I like to share and care.
• 9:11
  SPEAKER_01: Here we are.
• 9:12
  SPEAKER_01: I'm hungry now.
• 9:13
  SPEAKER_01: I want to eat.
• 9:14
  SPEAKER_01: Oh well, eat.
• 9:14
  SPEAKER_01: Let's go.
• 9:15
  SPEAKER_01: Back to Unwind.
• 9:16
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, alright.
• 9:17
SPEAKER_01: I like that it plays on the word wind like we do.
• 9:19
  SPEAKER_00: I know.
• 9:20
  SPEAKER_00: I think it's cute.
• 9:21
SPEAKER_00: It's like it's made for us there.
• 9:23
  SPEAKER_00: I know.
• 9:23
SPEAKER_00: And I hope Elsie listens.
• 9:24
SPEAKER_00: We left her a couple business cards, and we told her hopefully by next week that it'll be up.
• 9:28
SPEAKER_00: We had a good time.
• 9:29
SPEAKER_00: We gotta go back to unwind.
• 9:31
SPEAKER_00: If you ever want to go there or m even meet us there, it's called Unwind and Tap Swannee.
• 9:35
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 9:36
  SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
• 9:36
SPEAKER_01: So there's more locations than just this one.
• 9:39
SPEAKER_01: So look up uh Unwind and Tap in your area.
• 9:41
  SPEAKER_01: Maybe it's there, maybe it's not.
• 9:42
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there's one in Marietta and one in Ackworth.
• 9:45
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
• 9:45
  SPEAKER_01: See?
• 9:46
SPEAKER_00: But we're gonna be at the one in Suwannee.
• 9:47
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 9:48
SPEAKER_00: That's the one that's easiest for us to get to.
• 9:50
  SPEAKER_00: And come home from.
• 9:51
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 9:52
SPEAKER_00: But we had such a good time.
• 9:53
SPEAKER_00: It was so much good.
• 9:54
SPEAKER_00: We have rave reviews about the food and the drinks, the people that waited on us.
• 9:58
  SPEAKER_00: They were wonderful.
• 9:58
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I love it.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm going again.
• 10:00
SPEAKER_00: And I want the candle in the bathroom.
• 10:02
SPEAKER_00: I've never smelled anything, so I'm bitchy about that kind of stuff too.
• 10:05
  SPEAKER_00: Anything is too strong.
• 10:06
SPEAKER_00: I went in this little bathroom with this big candle and it smelled so good.
• 10:10
SPEAKER_01: The ambience in there and stuff is nice.
• 10:12
SPEAKER_01: You know, the bathroom's not like neon lights, and you know, they had a candle in there.
• 10:17
  SPEAKER_01: It's cozy.
• 10:18
  SPEAKER_01: It smelled good.
• 10:19
SPEAKER_01: So the whole experience is available there.
• 10:22
SPEAKER_01: And I don't think for as much as we ate and drank that the prices were outrageous.
• 10:26
SPEAKER_00: I guess Jeff had said it's gonna be$200 for you when he looked, and it was less than a hundred each.
• 10:32
  SPEAKER_00: Each, yeah.
• 10:32
  SPEAKER_00: With tip.
• 10:33
SPEAKER_00: And we had a lot.
• 10:34
  SPEAKER_00: We did.
• 10:35
SPEAKER_00: We just ate the whole time we were there from start to finish.
• 10:37
SPEAKER_00: Well, we will be back, Elsie.
• 10:39
  SPEAKER_00: Look for us.
• 10:39
  SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
• 10:40
  SPEAKER_00: We're coming.
• 10:40
SPEAKER_00: This is Brendan Stacy signing off.
• 10:42
SPEAKER_00: We'll be back next time.
• 10:43
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 10:43
  SPEAKER_00: Doodles.
• 10:44
  SPEAKER_00: Bye.
