- 0:18SPEAKER_03: Now let's join our host, Ron Myers, the promoter.
- 0:23Ron Meyers: Hello, my friends.
- 0:25Ron Meyers: It's great to be with you.
- 0:27Ron Meyers: Happy Thanksgiving.
- 0:28Ron Meyers: I'm Ron Myers.
- 0:30Ron Meyers: I'm your host, and the show is called Get the Hell Out of Your Life.
- 0:34Ron Meyers: It's a platform where I share my experiences with Jesus and discuss the amazing things he has done in my life and the lives of my guests.
- 0:47Ron Meyers: We love to brag on Jesus.
- 0:50Ron Meyers: And if you don't know Jesus the way we do, it may be because you haven't been told about his extravagant grace and God's awesome plan for your life, which is truly incredible.
- 1:05Ron Meyers: Well, today I have a special Thanksgiving program for you titled The Power of Faith.
- 1:13Ron Meyers: Years ago, I produced a booklet called The Power of Faith, and I distributed these booklets in places like post office counters, Walmart bathrooms, carbors, anywhere I could set a booklet.
- 1:28Ron Meyers: My goal was to provide hope, encouragement, and inspiration for people.
- 1:33Ron Meyers: And today I am so thankful on this Thanksgiving weekend because of God's amazing grace.
- 1:42Ron Meyers: Frankly, without his amazing grace, we would all be toast.
- 1:47Ron Meyers: I took my faith, my grace, and I allowed Jesus to grow it, and together we are promoting the power of faith.
- 1:58Ron Meyers: I want to share the contents of the power of faith booklet with you.
- 2:04Ron Meyers: You will be blessed by it.
- 2:06Ron Meyers: So let's dive in to the power of faith, and I'll return to close out the show.
- 2:12Ron Meyers: I am often asked, Ron, what is your secret to success?
- 2:17Ron Meyers: My reply is simple it's no secret, it's God's design for each of us, achieved by God's amazing grace and the power of faith.
- 2:28Ron Meyers: I would like to share how the power of faith has impacted my life and how you too can have success through God.
- 2:38Ron Meyers: Did you know you were destined for success before you were even in your mother's womb?
- 2:44Ron Meyers: That's right, friend.
- 2:45Ron Meyers: Before birth, the number of your days was all written by God.
- 2:50Ron Meyers: Jeremiah chapter 1, verse 5 says, I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb.
- 2:57Ron Meyers: Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.
- 3:02Ron Meyers: Friends, God created you with a plan.
- 3:06Ron Meyers: You are created in the image of God with particular talents, skills, and abilities that only you have, which means you are an original, not a copy.
- 3:18Ron Meyers: God wants to empower you today to use those talents, skills, and abilities to change the trajectory of your life.
- 3:28Ron Meyers: Today, this show is for the person who feels like something is missing in their life, for the person who wants to laugh again, sing again, love again, believe again for the person looking for hope, for the person ready to discover the next chapter of life.
- 3:48Ron Meyers: I believe in you, friend, and I want to encourage you that no matter where you are in life, God is at work in your life.
- 3:57Ron Meyers: God has not left you, God is for you.
- 4:00Ron Meyers: And today I will share some things that you can incorporate into your life that will empower you on your journey.
- 4:09Ron Meyers: Fail forward.
- 4:11Ron Meyers: When you experience failure, setbacks, and disappointments, it isn't because God punishes or ignores you.
- 4:19Ron Meyers: Instead, setbacks and disappointments enable us to learn and become dependent on the true teacher of success, Jesus Christ.
- 4:28Ron Meyers: I have discovered that with a teachable spirit, those obstacles, difficulties, setbacks, and disappointments become the stepping stones to success.
- 4:39Ron Meyers: The things that hindered me often now propel me to more significant opportunities.
- 4:46Ron Meyers: In other words, I fail forward, experiencing success because of learning from all my past mistakes.
- 4:56Ron Meyers: You are not a puppet.
- 4:58Ron Meyers: Does anyone believe we are puppets and that God moves our strings?
- 5:03Ron Meyers: You and I have the freedom of choice and we can choose to listen to God for instruction, or we can choose to listen to other voices in this world.
- 5:13Ron Meyers: The freedom to choose which path you will take in life is strictly your choice.
- 5:20Ron Meyers: Be aware though that your current life is created from the choices you made yesterday, just as the choices you make today and tomorrow will ultimately build your future.
- 5:33Ron Meyers: I have discovered that when I make better choices, when I take time to relax with Jesus, time to pray, read God's word, seek direction for my teacher, my mentor, my best friend, my encourager, Jesus, things begin to fall into place.
- 5:54Ron Meyers: God's unconditional love.
- 5:56Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you accept and internalize God's free gift of unconditional love.
- 6:05Ron Meyers: God loves you unconditionally and nothing you can do will change that.
- 6:11Ron Meyers: God desires an intimate relationship with you based on his unconditional and infinite love.
- 6:19Ron Meyers: However, how can we, as flawed human beings, hope to have an intimate relationship with the creator of the universe?
- 6:27Ron Meyers: Well, God made a way by sending his son Jesus to die on the cross and bear the punishment that you and I deserve.
- 6:35Ron Meyers: Remember the thief on the cross next to Jesus?
- 6:38Ron Meyers: He said, Jesus, remember me.
- 6:41Ron Meyers: And Jesus said, Today you will be with me in paradise.
- 6:47Ron Meyers: That is the message of grace, a free gift.
- 6:52Ron Meyers: You cannot earn God's grace, for it is his unmerited favor and a gift that costs the giver everything, and it cost us nothing.
- 7:04Ron Meyers: It is accessible to you and me if we would just open our heart and ask Jesus to come in.
- 7:11Ron Meyers: Too many people think they must change their behavior or lifestyle before God will love them.
- 7:17Ron Meyers: But that isn't true.
- 7:19Ron Meyers: God loves you right now, unconditionally.
- 7:22Ron Meyers: God is the source of all love, a gift we share with others.
- 7:27Ron Meyers: I've discovered that the more I remind myself of God's love, the more my love for Him and others grows.
- 7:35Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you accept God's unconditional love.
- 7:42Ron Meyers: Jeremiah chapter 31 verse 3 says, I have loved you with an everlasting love.
- 7:51Ron Meyers: If you don't become you, who will?
- 7:54Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you begin to accept who you are.
- 8:00Ron Meyers: You are God's masterpiece.
- 8:03Ron Meyers: A masterpiece is a one of a kind.
- 8:05Ron Meyers: I mean, think about it.
- 8:07Ron Meyers: You've got one fingerprint, no one else in the world has that.
- 8:11Ron Meyers: Soak that in for a while.
- 8:13Ron Meyers: You are a masterpiece created by God for God.
- 8:18Ron Meyers: So many of us compare ourselves to others and want to be like or imitate them.
- 8:24Ron Meyers: But friends, if you do not become you, who will?
- 8:29Ron Meyers: No one and you will rob the world of God's precious, unique gift.
- 8:36Ron Meyers: You.
- 8:37Ron Meyers: We are all born with specific personalities, talents, skills, and abilities.
- 8:43Ron Meyers: And your purpose in life is directly linked to your character, talents, skills, and abilities.
- 8:49Ron Meyers: I discovered that my life took on meaning when I was true to myself and accepted whom God created me to be.
- 8:58Ron Meyers: I wanted to become Ron, no one else.
- 9:02Ron Meyers: My goal was no longer to be a people pleaser, but my focus was now on living life with Jesus.
- 9:09Ron Meyers: I took seriously the fact that God had an assignment, a purpose for me to do.
- 9:15Ron Meyers: And by God's grace, I have enjoyed great success and joy through God.
- 9:21Ron Meyers: As a result, I wake up each day eager to pursue my purpose and discover new opportunities.
- 9:29Ron Meyers: Sometimes God places us in a season that we don't particularly care for, but that is part of the journey.
- 9:38Ron Meyers: And I believe that's where you will grow the most because each step of your journey shapes and molds you.
- 9:45Ron Meyers: Your attitude should be, Lord, I may not like this, I may not understand this, but I choose to trust you and not lean on my understanding.
- 9:55Ron Meyers: You see, friends, an attitude of gratitude is the very thing that allows us to experience success through God.
- 10:05Ron Meyers: Some of the jobs I have had in life, I didn't really want them, but I embraced each of them as a learning experience.
- 10:13Ron Meyers: It is often these unpleasant experiences that God will use to shape and mold us into the person he created us to become.
- 11:09Ron Meyers: Seek wisdom.
- 11:11Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you begin to seek wisdom.
- 11:15Ron Meyers: I remember when starting in business, I thought I knew everything and nobody was going to tell me what to do.
- 11:23Ron Meyers: Well, that attitude led me to failures and setbacks.
- 11:27Ron Meyers: See, when we think we know everything, we shut off the voices of wise counsel and of God.
- 11:33Ron Meyers: After three years in business, I struggled financially and told myself, I can't do this anymore.
- 11:40Ron Meyers: I'm going to quit.
- 11:42Ron Meyers: But just when we are ready to quit, God loves to step in.
- 11:48Ron Meyers: I felt something, that quiet little voice telling me not to stop, but rather seek wisdom.
- 11:54Ron Meyers: You know, in the Bible, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream one night, and God asked Solomon, What shall I give you?
- 12:02Ron Meyers: And Solomon asked for wisdom, and God was pleased.
- 12:06Ron Meyers: So where do you get wisdom?
- 12:08Ron Meyers: Wisdom can only come from God.
- 12:10Ron Meyers: I found the book of Proverbs full of wisdom, which gave me an awesome insight about living life, and success was within reach.
- 12:20Ron Meyers: Wisdom produces success, the kind of success that grows exponentially.
- 12:26Ron Meyers: There is no reason you should not excel in your field of assignment when you seek wisdom.
- 12:32Ron Meyers: Now, unlike knowledge, wisdom cannot be gained apart from God.
- 12:38Ron Meyers: Many of us are stubborn and we ask everyone in the world but God.
- 12:42Ron Meyers: Only a humble heart can ask God for wisdom.
- 12:46Ron Meyers: When you get into the habit of asking God for wisdom, your thinking begins to change.
- 12:52Ron Meyers: The book of Proverbs is my go-to reading.
- 12:56Ron Meyers: After all, they have 31 chapters, a chapter for every day of the week.
- 13:01Ron Meyers: You are destined for success by humbling yourself and asking for and receiving wisdom from God.
- 13:10Ron Meyers: Proverbs 4 verse 6 says, Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you.
- 13:17Ron Meyers: Love her and she will watch over you.
- 13:20Ron Meyers: Guard your mind.
- 13:22Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you begin to guard what goes into your mind.
- 13:29Ron Meyers: I had a radio show for eight years for two hours each day.
- 13:33Ron Meyers: I woke up each day going through the news to find negative stories.
- 13:39Ron Meyers: I sought topics for my radio show to create conversation based on negative news stories with my audience.
- 13:45Ron Meyers: Unfortunately, the radio personality was so busy building an audience that I often missed God's grace in my show.
- 13:54Ron Meyers: Well, after 10 years of doing this, the radio station closed and that practice stopped.
- 13:59Ron Meyers: But what happened is that I soon realized my mood had changed.
- 14:03Ron Meyers: I was happy.
- 14:04Ron Meyers: Instead of focusing on negative news, I was focusing on the positive things of God for my life.
- 14:11Ron Meyers: And soon I found myself removing all areas of negative input into my life and replacing it with sharing God's love, mercy, and his unending grace.
- 14:24Ron Meyers: The transformation in my life was astounding.
- 14:27Ron Meyers: Today many people walk around angry and complaining about things they cannot control.
- 14:33Ron Meyers: But did you know that one fit of anger can diminish the immune system for six hours?
- 14:38Ron Meyers: But laughter will strengthen the immune system for 24 hours.
- 14:43Ron Meyers: Proverbs 1722 tells us a joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
- 14:53Ron Meyers: I discovered my mood changed dramatically when I committed to watching and reading the things that are pleasant to the heart.
- 15:01Ron Meyers: You don't have to ignore the news, my friend, but watch in moderation and know when to turn it off.
- 15:08Ron Meyers: We can still change our world, but it starts with changing ourselves.
- 15:13Ron Meyers: If the friends you are hanging around are pessimistic and gossipy, well, maybe it's time to get some new friends.
- 15:20Ron Meyers: You are destined for success by guarding what goes into your mind.
- 15:25Ron Meyers: Take care of yourself.
- 15:26Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you begin to eat correctly and exercise.
- 15:32Ron Meyers: Have you heard the expression sound body and sound mind?
- 15:35Ron Meyers: It is so true.
- 15:37Ron Meyers: Can you have success without exercising and eating correctly?
- 15:42Ron Meyers: Absolutely.
- 15:42Ron Meyers: But here's something to think about.
- 15:44Ron Meyers: Let's say you have a car that needs a tune-up.
- 15:46Ron Meyers: A spark plug is misfiring, the air filter is dirty, and the oil needs to be changed.
- 15:52Ron Meyers: Your vehicle will still get from point A to point B, but the engine will not operate at its full potential.
- 15:58Ron Meyers: As a result, you most likely will experience a rough ride.
- 16:02Ron Meyers: Take the car in for a tune-up and a little TLC, and what a difference in the ride.
- 16:07Ron Meyers: We are the same way.
- 16:08Ron Meyers: When we take time to exercise, eat healthy, there will be a difference in our performance.
- 16:15Ron Meyers: The ride into our life will be much smoother and more relaxing.
- 16:20Ron Meyers: Even my prayer life is better, and my mind is sharper, and my conversations with Jesus are out of this world.
- 16:29Ron Meyers: I've been going to a gym for over 45 years.
- 16:32Ron Meyers: It has become a lifestyle.
- 16:33Ron Meyers: When I miss it, I can feel it.
- 16:35Ron Meyers: It just makes me want to exercise even more.
- 16:38Ron Meyers: The common excuse is, well, I just don't have time, Ron.
- 16:42Ron Meyers: I say, well, you have to make time.
- 16:43Ron Meyers: Without your health, what good is anything else?
- 16:46Ron Meyers: As I get older, I take the time to exercise and it pays dividends in my positive attitude and energy level.
- 16:52Ron Meyers: God has given us this incredible body and mind.
- 16:55Ron Meyers: His resurrection power lives on the inside of us.
- 16:58Ron Meyers: We must pray for the strength, the discipline, and the willpower to be more conscious of our health.
- 17:04Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you have the discipline to exercise and eat properly.
- 17:12Ron Meyers: Hold no grudges.
- 17:14Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you give the gift of forgiveness.
- 17:19Ron Meyers: You know, God has forgiven every goofy thing we've done in our life.
- 17:23Ron Meyers: So why not forgive those who wronged us?
- 17:27Ron Meyers: It doesn't mean we give them a free pass.
- 17:30Ron Meyers: It means we will not allow the actions of others to hold us back any longer.
- 17:36Ron Meyers: This was one of the most challenging things for me to do.
- 17:40Ron Meyers: I wanted to carry the baggage of anger and bitterness because I wanted to get even with the people that messed me over.
- 17:49Ron Meyers: But God had something different.
- 17:51Ron Meyers: Please hear me when I let go of my bitterness and unforgiveness.
- 17:57Ron Meyers: It was as if I turned on the faucet of God's unending grace, his love and his mercy began to flow through me.
- 18:08Ron Meyers: And today I pray for those who wronged me.
- 18:12Ron Meyers: Actually, I feel sorry for them.
- 18:14Ron Meyers: My desire to succeed through God is more desirable than holding on to things that will only stunt our growth with God.
- 18:22Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you give the gift of forgiveness.
- 18:28Ron Meyers: Walk by faith.
- 18:30Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you embrace change and allow God to be your compass.
- 18:35Ron Meyers: Walk by faith and not your sight.
- 18:38Ron Meyers: When the radio station closed and I lost my job, I had no idea what to do.
- 18:43Ron Meyers: I was scared and concerned for my family.
- 18:46Ron Meyers: Then the questions came.
- 18:53Ron Meyers: How can I trust God when I just lost something I dearly loved?
- 18:57Ron Meyers: I had people tell me, Ron, God has something bigger for you, and when one door closes, another opens.
- 19:03Ron Meyers: But I didn't want another door to open.
- 19:05Ron Meyers: I loved what I was doing.
- 19:07Ron Meyers: Well, a few months later, I ran into a friend working out at the gym.
- 19:10Ron Meyers: I hadn't seen him in years.
- 19:12Ron Meyers: But he had a book in his gym bag that he gave me.
- 19:16Ron Meyers: A God thing again.
- 19:18Ron Meyers: The first thing I read jumped off the page.
- 19:21Ron Meyers: The end of something in our life is not the completion of our destiny.
- 19:26Ron Meyers: God is in the business of strategically putting us in the right place at the right time.
- 19:33Ron Meyers: But the right place often seems like the wrong place at the wrong time.
- 19:40Ron Meyers: Wow, I heard God.
- 19:43Ron Meyers: He was moving me into another part of my destiny.
- 19:47Ron Meyers: It was a gut check.
- 19:48Ron Meyers: It forced me to step out in faith and trust God.
- 19:53Ron Meyers: Whatever he had in store, I was ready to embrace it.
- 19:57Ron Meyers: So that day I embraced change.
- 20:00Ron Meyers: And today I have so much fun promoting God's grace, whether I'm speaking, podcasting, or producing events.
- 20:11Ron Meyers: I need to emphasize that when change comes, and it will, trust God with all your heart.
- 20:17Ron Meyers: I know a lot of people will tell you kind all kinds of things, but you have to trust Jesus with all your heart and don't lean on your own understanding.
- 20:26Ron Meyers: God will never, never lead you to failure.
- 20:30Ron Meyers: We all experience changes that can turn our life upside down.
- 20:35Ron Meyers: When that happens, remember that God wrote your story and is revealing a new chapter.
- 20:42Ron Meyers: Be glad that you are still alive to determine your future with the help of Jesus leading you.
- 20:51Ron Meyers: That is what will keep you humble and dependent on God.
- 20:55Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you embrace change and allow Jesus to be your compass.
- 21:02Ron Meyers: Walk by faith and not by sight.
- 21:05Ron Meyers: Pray for success.
- 21:07Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you pray for success in every part of your life.
- 21:13Ron Meyers: Failure comes from Adam's fall from grace.
- 21:16Ron Meyers: Today businesses are failing, churches are closing, marriages are coming apart, and children are turning against their parents.
- 21:24Ron Meyers: We need to acknowledge the situation, turn everything over to God and pray for success like never before.
- 21:34Ron Meyers: Success is God's exclamation point on his honor and glory.
- 21:39Ron Meyers: If what we do is based on the right motives, not selfish greed or ambition, but on being the best at what we do in life, then we will see success through God.
- 21:52Ron Meyers: Colossians chapter 3, verse 23 tells us, whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men.
- 22:01Ron Meyers: Becoming God conscious enables you to make good decisions, control your tongue, and see and hear what you need to see and hear.
- 22:11Ron Meyers: Pray for success in your marriage, finances, children, health, attitude, and most of all, your relationship with Jesus.
- 22:21Ron Meyers: You are destined for success when you pray for success in all areas of your life.
- 22:28Ron Meyers: Listen, you are destined for success when you listen to God still small voice.
- 22:34Ron Meyers: I cannot emphasize enough how each of us needs some quiet time to reflect.
- 22:40Ron Meyers: My conversations with Jesus every day is life-changing.
- 22:45Ron Meyers: I can pour out my heart to him.
- 22:52Ron Meyers: His grace is unending and it is beautiful.
- 22:57Ron Meyers: I remember in June of 1985, my gut told me to cancel my Labor Day weekend festival.
- 23:04Ron Meyers: I ended up canceling an event, surprising a lot of people, but that was my decision.
- 23:09Ron Meyers: Well, that Labor Day weekend, Hurricane Elena hit the Gulf Coast.
- 23:13Ron Meyers: And because I listened, my company was saved thousands of dollars.
- 23:18Ron Meyers: Some people call it instinct or a gut feeling, but I call it God loving us so much that He doesn't want us to see failure.
- 23:28Ron Meyers: Impulsive decisions can often cause trouble.
- 23:32Ron Meyers: I today intentionally listen for God's voice because I can't afford to make mistakes with long-term consequences.
- 23:43Ron Meyers: We must allow the Holy Spirit to lead us.
- 23:47Ron Meyers: It never ceases to amaze me how one day I am confused and lost in what to do.
- 23:54Ron Meyers: And then after my conversation with Jesus, pouring out my heart to him, the perfect idea comes to me.
- 24:02Ron Meyers: Wow, you are destined for success when you listen to God still small voice.
- 24:10Ron Meyers: So what is the power of faith?
- 24:12Ron Meyers: The power of faith allows us to live a life of peace, passion, and purpose.
- 24:17Ron Meyers: The power of faith allows us to see God at work in our lives and the lives of others.
- 24:23Ron Meyers: The power of faith allows us to walk into the unknown without fear or trepidation.
- 24:29Ron Meyers: The power of faith will empower us to drive away the darkness with prayer and fresh boldness.
- 24:35Ron Meyers: The power of faith affirms that you are a significant piece of God's worldwide puzzle.
- 24:42Ron Meyers: The power of faith gives you the desire to provide the gift of forgiveness.
- 24:48Ron Meyers: The power of faith reminds us that with God all things are possible.
- 24:56Ron Meyers: Some final thoughts.
- 24:58Ron Meyers: Friends, the most important thing, I think precious thing we have today is our friends, family, and loved ones.
- 25:05Ron Meyers: And every day as I get older, I realize it really is a true gift.
- 25:09Ron Meyers: We've all heard the saying, boy, time sure seems to fly by.
- 25:14Ron Meyers: It does.
- 25:15Ron Meyers: So I want to encourage you to take time, to slow down, stop and smell the roses, enjoy your family.
- 25:23Ron Meyers: You never know what tomorrow will bring.
- 25:26Ron Meyers: God loves you, God has a plan for you, and you are destined for success when you get the hell out of your life and trust Jesus for your entire life.

- 25:56SPEAKER_01: But woe to any boat whose rudder breaks.
- 25:59SPEAKER_01: It's impossible to sail without a rudder to guide you.
- 26:03SPEAKER_01: That's a feeling a lot of people know.
- 26:05SPEAKER_01: Our lives seem rudderless, drifting without any real sense of direction.
- 26:10SPEAKER_01: But that can change with Jesus at the helm.

- 26:55Ron Meyers: It involves trusting in God's promises and recognizing that he has a unique plan for each of us.
- 27:02Ron Meyers: Jeremiah 1.5 reminds us that God knew us before we were born and set us apart for his purposes, assuring us that we are created and loved by him.
- 27:14Ron Meyers: Faith allows us to see beyond our circumstances and trust in God's goodness.
- 27:21Ron Meyers: We can embrace our identity in Christ, knowing we are forgiven, loved, and accepted.
- 27:28Ron Meyers: Romans 8.28 tells us that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, even in setbacks.
- 27:37Ron Meyers: God is working to guide us towards his plan.
- 27:41Ron Meyers: So when facing challenges, faith encourages us to learn and grow from our experiences rather than strive for perfection.
- 27:50Ron Meyers: Philippians 4.13 reminds us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, highlighting the importance of relying on his power.
- 28:02Ron Meyers: Remember, God is always with you, guiding and comforting you.
