ZZ Top Honors Frank Beard With Austin Shows | Music News
ZZ Top marches on despite the loss of drummer Frank Beard, who died peacefully at his Texas ranch after 56 years with the band. Though a few shows were canceled, they’re back this weekend in Austin — a city close to Beard’s heart — kicking off their “The Big One” tour again. Beard stepped back from touring last year due to health issues, with John Douglas and Michael Monahan filling in.
