- 1:15Speaker 5: Son of a Boy Dad podcast Today. It is November
- 1:19Speaker 5: twenty fifth, it is one fifteen pm. We are here
- 1:25Speaker 5: Remote Roan. You are in HQ three. I'm in HQ four. Francis,
- 1:29Speaker 5: you are in HQ six.
- 1:36Speaker 6: I have some movie really cool to tell you, guys,
- 1:38Speaker 6: which is that I'm at my family's house in Florida,
- 1:42Speaker 6: the one that got destroyed. And uh, it's a bungalow
- 1:47Speaker 6: style house, so there's like sort of small, tiny, different buildings,
- 1:53Speaker 6: I guess you'd say, and the one bedroom over here
- 1:57Speaker 6: is the only thing that didn't get destroyed. So my
- 2:00Speaker 6: parents and I I'm like living in the kitchen and
- 2:03Speaker 6: they're living in the bedroom for the week, which is
- 2:07Speaker 6: not ideal. But currently there is a rampant iguana problem.
- 2:15Speaker 6: Uh they're there, they've run riot, they're mating like rabbits,
- 2:19Speaker 6: and there are iguanas everywhere, and the iguana control guy
- 2:25Speaker 6: just showed up and I saw him walking around out here.
- 2:29Speaker 6: I can like watch, and I didn't know. I thought
- 2:32Speaker 6: maybe there's like three guys that are supposed to come today,
- 2:34Speaker 6: the couch delivery guy and the fucking refrigerator repair man.
- 2:38Speaker 6: And I thought this guy wasn't sure where he was
- 2:40Speaker 6: supposed to go, so I went out to say hi,
- 2:42Speaker 6: and he was like. I was like, hey, are you
- 2:43Speaker 6: looking for the where the couch goes? And he goes, no,
- 2:47Speaker 6: I'm looking for iguanas And I go, oh, you're the
- 2:51Speaker 6: iguana guy. He goes, yeah, I got three of them
- 2:53Speaker 6: over there already. There's so many. And I go, oh, cool,
- 2:56Speaker 6: how do you get how do you catch him? And
- 2:57Speaker 6: he goes, I shoot them?
- 2:59Speaker 5: Oh shit, it with like a real gun.
- 3:01Speaker 6: No, with a twenty two pellet gun. He's just he's
- 3:06Speaker 6: just fucking roping iguanas right now.
- 3:09Speaker 5: That's correct. So did you see the did he have
- 3:11Speaker 5: the piece on him? No?
- 3:12Speaker 6: I didn't see it. I didn't get it. He's got
- 3:15Speaker 6: a concealed carrier.
- 3:18Speaker 1: What if he was about to be like Francis, I'd
- 3:20Speaker 1: like you to shoot some iguanas, but I saw your
- 3:23Speaker 1: shooting video.
- 3:26Speaker 7: Them is precious.
- 3:28Speaker 6: I think what our next trip is iguana the iguana hunt.
- 3:32Speaker 6: You guys got to come down here so we can
- 3:34Speaker 6: fucking catch some iguanas and kill him.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm downs no catch.
- 3:40Speaker 6: Florida is ruthless. I played golf yesterday and we they
- 3:46Speaker 6: they've had a wild boar problem at the golf course.
- 3:50Speaker 6: And uh, by the way, wild boar takes ships that
- 3:54Speaker 6: look very human. I mean there were logs of human
- 3:58Speaker 6: looking feces all over the golf course. And we were
- 4:02Speaker 6: playing at twilight and they told us that off of
- 4:05Speaker 6: the fourth hole that there were two or three cages
- 4:10Speaker 6: that had boor caught in them. And as we were
- 4:13Speaker 6: finishing on the ninth hole, I heard a massive gunshot
- 4:18Speaker 6: ring out, and then two more and they shot them
- 4:21Speaker 6: in the cages.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Oh was so brutal. I know, well, I know wild
- 4:27Speaker 5: boar like they just they just fucking light those things up.
- 4:30Speaker 5: But getting it in the cage first seems a little insane.
- 4:33Speaker 6: Well, I don't really know what are you supposed to do.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Let it out of the cage and then shoot it.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Worst shot on a golf course that bore getting executed
- 4:41Speaker 1: in Florida or Frankie blading it on eighteen.
- 4:47Speaker 6: You could you could let them out right in front
- 4:49Speaker 6: of Frankie with his wedge in his hand. Dude. They
- 4:53Speaker 6: were also saying. They were also saying that sometimes they
- 4:56Speaker 6: have a guy who's like an animal expert who will
- 4:58Speaker 6: come to deal with this, and he likes the taste
- 5:01Speaker 6: of wild boars so much, but he doesn't like the
- 5:04Speaker 6: way that they taste when they've been just like running
- 5:06Speaker 6: around the golf course. So if he catches them in
- 5:09Speaker 6: a cage, he'll bring them home and feed them like
- 5:12Speaker 6: acorns and walnuts for a couple of weeks in order
- 5:16Speaker 6: to change the taste of the meat, and then he'll
- 5:20Speaker 6: kill them like their handsel and gretel.
- 5:27Speaker 5: That feels illegal, that's correct. It's like if I just
- 5:30Speaker 5: call like a pigeon outside and I was like, I'm
- 5:32Speaker 5: gonna eat this thing in a year.
- 5:36Speaker 6: I'm gonna eat this thing for Thanksgiving next year.
- 5:39Speaker 7: No one's gonna know the difference the pigeon.
- 5:43Speaker 5: Just hold it in a cage and just fucking plump
- 5:46Speaker 5: it up until it's not even recognizable.
- 5:48Speaker 6: I've never seen a gray and teal turkey before, Harry,
- 5:54Speaker 6: you know what.
- 5:54Speaker 7: It speaks to, though.
- 5:55Speaker 1: You know what it speaks to is the fucking pesticides
- 5:58Speaker 1: on the golf course.
- 5:59Speaker 7: They probabrobably taste terrible.
- 6:00Speaker 1: When they're all chemicaled up like that, They're probably tasting
- 6:03Speaker 1: like a fresh pack of doritos or something like that,
- 6:06Speaker 1: just like lucky charms.
- 6:08Speaker 7: Just a bunch of round up.
- 6:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:11Speaker 5: I was gonna say, round up just fucking oozing out
- 6:13Speaker 5: of the sweat glands.
- 6:16Speaker 7: Moist turkey this year, Harry.
- 6:19Speaker 5: It's got a good tang to it.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It's all round up moist pig that you have there.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Good God, that's fucking disgusting. But a lot of people,
- 6:28Speaker 1: I mean, there's invasive species out here, and I think
- 6:32Speaker 1: that there's some island nations that enjoy it, and iguana
- 6:35Speaker 1: on a spit that they like to skewer the iguana
- 6:37Speaker 1: and uh crisp them.
- 6:40Speaker 5: I didn't know that anyone ate iguana.
- 6:42Speaker 6: I didn't know.
- 6:43Speaker 5: I didn't even know the people ate wild boar.
- 6:46Speaker 7: Of course I ate.
- 6:47Speaker 6: I knew about boar, but I didn't know about iguana.
- 6:51Speaker 5: Yeah, well, you see any gators out there?
- 6:53Speaker 6: Yeah, I saw a bunch of gators. I always thought
- 6:56Speaker 6: that bar was probably super delicious because I used to
- 6:59Speaker 6: read the Asterix and Obelix comics, and Obelix, who was obese,
- 7:06Speaker 6: uh loved the taste of wild boar more than anything,
- 7:09Speaker 6: and the way they drew them in those comics was
- 7:11Speaker 6: always very hunger inducing.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Yeah, it definitely is a fat man's it's the fat
- 7:16Speaker 5: man's pig, hungry man's pig.
- 7:19Speaker 7: They just said that the iguana is the chicken of
- 7:22Speaker 7: the tree.
- 7:24Speaker 5: Really, I mean they're saying that about every everything is chicken.
- 7:29Speaker 5: How many back to chicken?
- 7:31Speaker 6: How many things live in a tree? Do you really
- 7:35Speaker 6: need to specify that one is the chicken of the
- 7:37Speaker 6: tree and one is the sea bream of the tree.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Also, wouldn't the chicken of the tree be a bird bird? Yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 5: another bird.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Chickens are probably closer to being the chicken of the tree.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Yeah, just a chicken without clipped wings. You see a
- 7:56Speaker 5: chicken take off?
- 7:57Speaker 7: Sad?
- 7:59Speaker 5: Have you seen it?
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it's sad. It's like they're I mean, they barely
- 8:02Speaker 1: can get in the air. They just like it's like
- 8:04Speaker 1: they're someone an astronaut jumping on the moon, like get.
- 8:07Speaker 7: Like a little extra air.
- 8:09Speaker 5: But like, yeah, it's actually a dead on comparison. I
- 8:12Speaker 5: was gonna say, it's like like jumping in Halo was
- 8:17Speaker 5: just slowly rise up and fall down.
- 8:20Speaker 6: I've never seen them take off, but I've seen them
- 8:23Speaker 6: jump up into the coup. Yeah. The way they jump
- 8:27Speaker 6: is the way that like I used to have to
- 8:29Speaker 6: jump to do box jumps when I was slightly injured. Like,
- 8:35Speaker 6: they don't bend their legs at all. It's just a
- 8:38Speaker 6: pure hop that uses mostly the momentum from the arm
- 8:42Speaker 6: swing to get you up there.
- 8:43Speaker 5: But it's like a reverse cliff dive.
- 8:46Speaker 1: They're just like flapping their arms up right. Fucking fucking idiots,
- 8:50Speaker 1: delicious idiots.
- 8:52Speaker 7: Ron.
- 8:52Speaker 5: How are you feeling you Last last I heard, you
- 8:56Speaker 5: were the sickest you've ever been. You're looking fine today.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I was so fucking sick. It was insane how fast
- 9:03Speaker 1: it happened. I woke up in the middle of the night,
- 9:05Speaker 1: like Sunday into Monday night, and I was like, ah,
- 9:07Speaker 1: I should have stretched more, Like every one of my
- 9:09Speaker 1: muscles hurt.
- 9:10Speaker 7: I wonder why this is happening.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And then I woke up that morning and it was
- 9:15Speaker 1: the most painful. I mean, I had to feed the
- 9:17Speaker 1: kids obviously throughout the night, but it was the most
- 9:19Speaker 1: painful my body had ever felt. I was holding my
- 9:22Speaker 1: like probably ten pound baby, and I felt like my
- 9:25Speaker 1: knees were about to give out from.
- 9:27Speaker 7: The weight of it.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I walked my dog and I like grunted into falling asleep,
- 9:32Speaker 1: and I didn't wake up until the middle of the
- 9:34Speaker 1: day where I woke up by shitting myself. I shipped
- 9:39Speaker 1: myself to awake. I like trusted a fart and I
- 9:43Speaker 1: knew that and that was all I moved that day.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Sprinted over. I'd like, chose my phone this was yesterday.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Saw a text of from Francis being like, uh, hello,
- 9:53Speaker 1: does anyone want to answer? And I was like, oh
- 9:55Speaker 1: my god, I was just drenched in sweat. My muscle's
- 9:58Speaker 1: fucking aching. I was like, I was shocked, probably not
- 10:02Speaker 1: going to be able to record today.
- 10:03Speaker 7: I had it.
- 10:04Speaker 1: My wife had it ten times worse than me, and
- 10:07Speaker 1: my fucking kids had it, and so I was just
- 10:10Speaker 1: like trying to put on for the family. It was
- 10:12Speaker 1: probably the hardest day that I've had in like in
- 10:15Speaker 1: like ten years.
- 10:18Speaker 5: Today is it just like it's like a new lease
- 10:20Speaker 5: on life.
- 10:21Speaker 1: I'm like the smallest things, I'm just like skipping, like
- 10:24Speaker 1: throwing open the blind, being like, oh, my triceps are loose.
- 10:28Speaker 7: Everything about my life is.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I took it off for granted, So it was a
- 10:32Speaker 1: nice reset in that in that manner for sure. But
- 10:35Speaker 1: I always heard tale that kids can bring untold sickness, smallpox,
- 10:40Speaker 1: blankets of sickness, and I always thought I was like, Oh,
- 10:43Speaker 1: it's not gonna happen to me. It destroyed me yesterday.
- 10:47Speaker 5: You're probably just going to be sick for the rest
- 10:48Speaker 5: of your life. Like, I think that's just how it goes.
- 10:52Speaker 5: You just got so many bodies living in your house now,
- 10:55Speaker 5: and not only in something.
- 10:57Speaker 6: Yeah, not only that, but once you put them in school,
- 10:59Speaker 6: they get everything from all the other kids, and you
- 11:02Speaker 6: have twice the likelihood of catching it.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Yeah, why is that? Why do I have more? Oh,
- 11:07Speaker 1: I have more kids. But it's like it also felt
- 11:09Speaker 1: like it was hitting me worse than it was hitting them.
- 11:11Speaker 1: It's like they have tiny immune systems. And I was
- 11:14Speaker 1: like grunting as I snail crawled across the floor, Like
- 11:18Speaker 1: I don't know how they even what was.
- 11:21Speaker 6: It the flu? Was it just the flu?
- 11:22Speaker 1: I have no idea. It was too quick to even
- 11:25Speaker 1: like go to a doctor about it. I felt fine
- 11:28Speaker 1: on Sunday, and I felt fine on Tuesday, and Monday
- 11:31Speaker 1: was the worst day of my life.
- 11:32Speaker 5: Yeah, that's weird. Just a power just to quick twenty
- 11:34Speaker 5: four hour power sickness.
- 11:36Speaker 7: Maybe neurovirus, Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
- 11:39Speaker 5: Might be that I know a couple of people that
- 11:42Speaker 5: have the flu right now, but maybe they've got the
- 11:43Speaker 5: neuro as well.
- 11:45Speaker 6: Do you guys believe in flu shots?
- 11:47Speaker 5: Hell no, Now I actually believe in them so strongly,
- 11:52Speaker 5: and I never get them, and I get the flu
- 11:55Speaker 5: every year, and that's why I know they work. Like
- 12:02Speaker 5: I used to get the flu shot every year growing
- 12:04Speaker 5: up as like a kid, like my mom would make
- 12:05Speaker 5: me go get it. And then since I've moved to
- 12:08Speaker 5: New York, I haven't got it once, and I've got
- 12:10Speaker 5: the flu every year like I'm due once a year
- 12:15Speaker 5: now for that ever get sick.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Just never learning from your mistake, continuing to make the
- 12:21Speaker 1: mistake is so fucking funny.
- 12:24Speaker 5: It's strictly just out of I just don't want to
- 12:27Speaker 5: go to CVS and fucking sit down in that chair
- 12:32Speaker 5: or my doctor. I don't want to go to my doctor.
- 12:34Speaker 5: I'd rather go to CVS than go to my doctor.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I stopped taking it for like in like twenty twelve,
- 12:40Speaker 1: for a year, but I realized I stopped taking it
- 12:43Speaker 1: because it was suggested to me by some bowling alley workers.
- 12:47Speaker 1: I was like, what the fuck am I doing? Taking
- 12:51Speaker 1: the word of bowling alley workers for anything. So, I
- 12:54Speaker 1: mean I got back on it, but I haven't taken
- 12:56Speaker 1: it the last.
- 12:57Speaker 7: Couple go rounds.
- 12:59Speaker 5: Are you're taking this too much?
- 13:00Speaker 7: Rogan?
- 13:01Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 13:02Speaker 5: Francis have you are you want it yearly?
- 13:04Speaker 6: Yeah? I get it every year. Yeah, you got it already. Yeah.
- 13:08Speaker 6: I mean you can get it at a Trader Joe's.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Yeah, you can get it everywhere and year.
- 13:13Speaker 7: Have you been able to avoid it?
- 13:15Speaker 6: I don't think i've had the flu in oh why yeah,
- 13:21Speaker 6: I think that anytime I've gotten nauseous vomity sick, it's
- 13:26Speaker 6: been food related red meat.
- 13:29Speaker 5: We know how your body works.
- 13:30Speaker 6: Or because I was, you know, making out with a
- 13:33Speaker 6: botswan and hooker.
- 13:36Speaker 7: Just making out though.
- 13:39Speaker 5: And then throwing up after Yeah, quick way to lose
- 13:42Speaker 5: some some LB's. I got a Do you guys remember
- 13:47Speaker 5: when the swine flu was around? Oh yeah, when when
- 13:50Speaker 5: the swine flu was around, like we had the of
- 13:55Speaker 5: course wild boar. Most likely we had to go to
- 13:59Speaker 5: like the school auditorium, like not during school, but that's
- 14:03Speaker 5: like where they were giving out the vaccine. And I
- 14:05Speaker 5: remember being in there waiting in the line, and I
- 14:07Speaker 5: remember seeing they like had they were just like these
- 14:11Speaker 5: like plastic tables set up with people like giving out
- 14:14Speaker 5: the shots, and I remember looking over at one of
- 14:17Speaker 5: the ladies and she had like so many of them
- 14:19Speaker 5: lined up, and she had one of the syringes and
- 14:21Speaker 5: she just like gave it a little just gave it
- 14:24Speaker 5: a little go, and it just like was like spraying,
- 14:28Speaker 5: like just to see if it were I'm like, damn,
- 14:29Speaker 5: they're really just tossing the vaccine around everywhere. I've never
- 14:33Speaker 5: seen that before.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Just a gatorade jug of swine flu vaccine poured on
- 14:38Speaker 1: the nurse after her thousand vaccinations.
- 14:42Speaker 5: I never seen someone just like testing out the syringe
- 14:45Speaker 5: in public like that.
- 14:47Speaker 1: That's what cartoon characters do, Yeah, just give it a
- 14:50Speaker 1: little nurses in cartoons.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I haven't gotten the flu vaccine a couple of years,
- 14:59Speaker 1: but I giving all the vaccinations to my kids just because, like,
- 15:04Speaker 1: I can be a retard, but I'm not gonna, you know,
- 15:07Speaker 1: force them to have retard at tendencies.
- 15:17Speaker 6: Was it a was it a tough call or were you.
- 15:20Speaker 7: No, it wasn't. It wasn't a tough call.
- 15:22Speaker 1: It was uh pretty much just going with like the
- 15:25Speaker 1: thousand years of science versus the two years of podcasting.
- 15:37Speaker 6: It's really good.
- 15:39Speaker 5: I feel like if I had kids and you have,
- 15:42Speaker 5: like like I'm giving them every vaccine because like that,
- 15:45Speaker 5: you don't want them sick and crying and complaint. Like, yeah,
- 15:50Speaker 5: that's the easiest decision ever.
- 15:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:52Speaker 5: I don't want to be autistic.
- 15:53Speaker 6: I don't care.
- 15:54Speaker 5: You can be autistic all you want. I heard they
- 15:59Speaker 5: added extra pilan all into the flip Shot this year.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yeah, because it wasn't selling after all the reports about it,
- 16:05Speaker 1: So they need to get their numbers up somehow, just
- 16:10Speaker 1: mixing it in like witches.
- 16:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:13Speaker 7: I was in Chicago this week.
- 16:15Speaker 1: For for a pop punk show Great Town.
- 16:18Speaker 7: Have you guys ever been?
- 16:20Speaker 5: I was there last week.
- 16:21Speaker 7: Yeah, I gotta get out there.
- 16:22Speaker 6: I just missed you.
- 16:24Speaker 1: The uh the they have the nastiest fucking rats in
- 16:28Speaker 1: that city. They have fucking We went to Chinatown and
- 16:30Speaker 1: their rats are way a way different breed of than
- 16:34Speaker 1: like the New York rats. New York rats will kind
- 16:36Speaker 1: of avoid you that the Chicago Chicago rat ran up
- 16:40Speaker 1: onto my foot. I was walking and it kind of
- 16:45Speaker 1: like it like jumped onto my foot, like it was
- 16:47Speaker 1: like trying to get onto a train in India. Like
- 16:50Speaker 1: it like like ran through the door like the last
- 16:53Speaker 1: second to try, and and it like stayed there for
- 16:55Speaker 1: a second until I girl screamed and fucking kicked it
- 16:58Speaker 1: and it went onto another foot in the group that
- 17:01Speaker 1: I was in, and just like if they could hit
- 17:03Speaker 1: three shoes. They're so fucking bold and like Doe and like,
- 17:08Speaker 1: were you midstride? Yeah, so it like kind of hung on,
- 17:12Speaker 1: but I had to give like a wiggle to just
- 17:14Speaker 1: to to kind of send it.
- 17:16Speaker 5: That's happened to me here. Oh yeah, I've had I
- 17:20Speaker 5: had the exact same thing your foot. It used to
- 17:24Speaker 5: be this area that I live in used to be
- 17:26Speaker 5: like rat fucking central. Remember when I first moved in here.
- 17:29Speaker 5: And I'll tell you guys that, like I would be
- 17:31Speaker 5: in bed and you could hear the rats screaming outside,
- 17:35Speaker 5: like fucking white like wild bores.
- 17:40Speaker 1: There was like the hyenas and the lion king. They're
- 17:42Speaker 1: just on rocks singing, dude.
- 17:45Speaker 5: And then they they sprayed some ship and then they
- 17:48Speaker 5: put up those massive rat traps, the ones that are
- 17:52Speaker 5: just like it's like a mini fucking iron dome. They
- 17:54Speaker 5: just got set up outside of every restaurant. So we
- 17:58Speaker 5: haven't had them anymore, but dude, when when it runs
- 18:00Speaker 5: over your foot, the weight is shocking. It's ten pounds easily. Yeah. Yeah, yeah,
- 18:08Speaker 5: it's the weight of a cat.
- 18:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:11Speaker 1: They kind of cling to you a little bit, like
- 18:12Speaker 1: they kind of mold to you, like like dropping some
- 18:15Speaker 1: gack on your boot.
- 18:16Speaker 7: It's fucking It was jarringly disgusting.
- 18:20Speaker 5: Would you say like a rat for you guys, or
- 18:22Speaker 5: like a rat or a mouse? Is that a big
- 18:24Speaker 5: fear for you? Have you ever dealt with it? Like,
- 18:28Speaker 5: have you ever had like a mouse problem?
- 18:33Speaker 6: Not not not that bad. In college, our dorm rooms
- 18:36Speaker 6: we had we had mice. A friend of mine invented
- 18:40Speaker 6: a blow dart gun. He got this PVC pipe and
- 18:45Speaker 6: he created some way for the he made these darts.
- 18:48Speaker 6: He's like he would undo a paper clip and then
- 18:51Speaker 6: find a way to stop it, and then he would
- 18:55Speaker 6: shoot them and spear them based like a Yeah.
- 18:59Speaker 5: So he just like crawling around on his hands and
- 19:01Speaker 5: knees in the dorm all day.
- 19:03Speaker 6: No, he'd be playing video games and then he'd see
- 19:05Speaker 6: a mouse kind of poke its head out, and then
- 19:08Speaker 6: he'd pause the game and he'd pick up his pbc
- 19:10Speaker 6: by blow dart gun and he would impale it was
- 19:14Speaker 6: your roommate.
- 19:14Speaker 5: Chris Kyle. That's fucking insane.
- 19:18Speaker 7: And now he kills iguanas in Florida.
- 19:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I just ran into him outside. Actually, that's pretty
- 19:25Speaker 5: like you gotta be pretty like well trained to be
- 19:27Speaker 5: like mid game, pause, kill, back to the game.
- 19:31Speaker 6: Yeah. Well it was all one and the same, wasn't it.
- 19:35Speaker 7: Yeah, he's a hunter, yeh not bad, not bad, by the.
- 19:38Speaker 6: Way, Harry. I oh sorry, go ahead, Oh no, no, continue, continue. Well,
- 19:42Speaker 6: I'm changing the subject, so if you have a follow up,
- 19:44Speaker 6: I'll let you go.
- 19:45Speaker 5: And now I was just gonna say, I think it's
- 19:47Speaker 5: like one of my You can see the mouse trap right.
- 19:49Speaker 6: Here, that black thing, oh no, to the right of it. Yeah, okay, Harry.
- 19:58Speaker 6: I played golf with Debt. Hush, oh really, and he
- 20:04Speaker 6: and we and we and we drove back together, during
- 20:06Speaker 6: which time I learned the entire story of how he
- 20:09Speaker 6: got into gaming and streaming, his current standing with it,
- 20:14Speaker 6: and and the way that you make money, the ins
- 20:16Speaker 6: and outs all of this stuff.
- 20:18Speaker 7: Tell us, I'll tell.
- 20:19Speaker 6: You something, Harry. I'll tell you what I learned. Uh.
- 20:22Speaker 6: I don't think you have it, Harry.
- 20:24Speaker 5: No, No, no, I don't.
- 20:26Speaker 6: I don't think you have what it takes to get
- 20:28Speaker 6: to the level he got to.
- 20:29Speaker 5: I unfortunately don't. And it's it's really been like it's
- 20:33Speaker 5: honestly like, I think the only word to describe what
- 20:36Speaker 5: I've felt the last two weeks since Black Ops seven
- 20:39Speaker 5: came out is depression. It's just it came sad. It's
- 20:43Speaker 5: been sad. Yeah, I'm my my glory days are behind
- 20:47Speaker 5: me and I didn't know until right now.
- 20:50Speaker 7: What What did dal Too say?
- 20:52Speaker 1: What are you talking about how good he is at
- 20:53Speaker 1: the game or the dedication to putting streams up or
- 20:56Speaker 1: like what a So?
- 20:58Speaker 6: I mean his story is pretty cool. Actually he was
- 21:02Speaker 6: playing video games. He went to Florida State, he started
- 21:05Speaker 6: playing a lot of senior year, and he said that
- 21:07Speaker 6: video games are a little bit like being an athlete,
- 21:11Speaker 6: where you have to have a baseline level of innate
- 21:16Speaker 6: video game ability. Some people have it, some people don't.
- 21:20Speaker 6: Obviously Harry does not have it. I don't, which is
- 21:24Speaker 6: explains why I don't have it either.
- 21:26Speaker 5: But when we know you probably have more of it
- 21:30Speaker 5: than I do.
- 21:31Speaker 6: Okay, so that makes sense. So basically, Harry's like when
- 21:35Speaker 6: you watch a guy play golf, where you're like you
- 21:37Speaker 6: don't you never played sports, but you've swung enough times
- 21:40Speaker 6: to find a way to make it work. And then
- 21:42Speaker 6: there's you know, natural athletes who can find a way
- 21:46Speaker 6: to hit it even if they haven't played much. So
- 21:50Speaker 6: he dal touche Is. I said, are you good at
- 21:55Speaker 6: every video game? And he said shooters, Yeah, yeah, shooting games.
- 22:02Speaker 6: He'll be able to transfer his innate skill from one
- 22:05Speaker 6: to the next. And I said, well, how good are
- 22:07Speaker 6: you at Call of Duty? And he goes, that wasn't
- 22:10Speaker 6: my game. His game was apex yep. And I said, okay,
- 22:14Speaker 6: but you you're on optic and clearly and Call of
- 22:18Speaker 6: Duty is like their big thing. And he said, if
- 22:20Speaker 6: you were to compare my ability in Call of Duty
- 22:24Speaker 6: versus like our ranked players are our pros, it would
- 22:29Speaker 6: be like saying that I'm a scratch golfer and being like, well,
- 22:32Speaker 6: why aren't you playing for the PGA Tour. Yeah, golf
- 22:36Speaker 6: between a scratch golf golfer and a PGA Tour player
- 22:40Speaker 6: is the golf between him and Call of Duty and
- 22:43Speaker 6: the pros.
- 22:44Speaker 5: Yeah. And he's still like like, if me and del
- 22:47Speaker 5: Tuoche one v one, they would be probably close to
- 22:50Speaker 5: thirty to zero.
- 22:51Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, he would wax you. But he said that
- 22:54Speaker 6: he started playing Apex, and he was playing at a
- 22:58Speaker 6: good amount, and he was streaming it. And this was
- 23:01Speaker 6: and he was in college and when the first round
- 23:05Speaker 6: of rankings came out, he was like one hundred and
- 23:08Speaker 6: thirtieth in the world in terms of total kills. And
- 23:13Speaker 6: when he saw that, he was like, oh shit, I'm
- 23:16Speaker 6: going to dedicate myself to this. And he played seventeen
- 23:20Speaker 6: hours a day for three months. Yeah, and then by
- 23:24Speaker 6: the next time the rankings came out, he was number
- 23:28Speaker 6: one in the world.
- 23:29Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, he's Yeah, he was insane at Apex. It's
- 23:33Speaker 5: funny that you bring that up. I literally this weekend
- 23:35Speaker 5: was watching his shit.
- 23:37Speaker 6: I never what is Apex? Tell me about Apex?
- 23:40Speaker 5: Oh, Apex is a fucking blast great game. It's just
- 23:44Speaker 5: like a Battle Royale, like Fortnite or like war Zone.
- 23:48Speaker 6: Yeah, so basically run that means you're dropped into a
- 23:50Speaker 6: map and it's every weekend for himself. Yeah, exactly, one
- 23:53Speaker 6: person's standing Apex.
- 23:55Speaker 5: There's I think there's solos in those trios and you
- 23:58Speaker 5: I used to play trios all the time time. Yeah,
- 24:00Speaker 5: you get dropped, you jump out of a plane, into
- 24:02Speaker 5: the trios.
- 24:04Speaker 6: Trios is when you're a team of three.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Oh, got it, got it? Okay, Oh I didn't know.
- 24:08Speaker 5: I had to break that one down.
- 24:10Speaker 6: I just guessed.
- 24:12Speaker 5: Yeah, pretty self explanatory.
- 24:14Speaker 7: Yeah, you never know.
- 24:18Speaker 5: Yeah. And then in Apex, it's like it's like every
- 24:22Speaker 5: other first person shooter. It's like it's you have but
- 24:26Speaker 5: you have like abilities and stuff. You have like specialist moves.
- 24:28Speaker 5: Like I used to play his Bloodhound and he would
- 24:30Speaker 5: like if you if you double click to the bumpers,
- 24:33Speaker 5: you would get like this, you could see through all
- 24:36Speaker 5: the walls and stuff for like thirty seconds. So it's
- 24:40Speaker 5: a fun game, really fun game.
- 24:41Speaker 6: You know, there's Call of Duty, There's Halo, there's all
- 24:48Speaker 6: these there's so many shooter games. What makes a game
- 24:51Speaker 6: more popular than another?
- 24:54Speaker 5: And I think now with with gaming, it's like literally
- 24:58Speaker 5: I think it's just.
- 24:59Speaker 7: What they're like, how cool the skins are.
- 25:02Speaker 5: Skins are a big factor for sure.
- 25:04Speaker 7: If you got chicken from Family Guy.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah exactly. I think it's just like reputation. Like
- 25:13Speaker 5: there's so many new games that come out that are
- 25:16Speaker 5: so fun, but they die out after like a week
- 25:19Speaker 5: because everyone goes back to Call of dude, Like everyone
- 25:22Speaker 5: shits on Call of Duty, like it gets a ton
- 25:24Speaker 5: of hate. It's because it's like the biggest game, it's
- 25:26Speaker 5: like one of it's like a top like it's been
- 25:28Speaker 5: around for over twenty years, and it's been consistently a
- 25:31Speaker 5: top game for those twenty years. So it's like everyone
- 25:34Speaker 5: still just plays COD, counter Strike, League of Legends, APEX,
- 25:40Speaker 5: like they just play the games that they're from, that
- 25:41Speaker 5: that people have been playing.
- 25:43Speaker 6: I'm hearing that the new COD is not good.
- 25:47Speaker 5: Oh, it's unbelievably good.
- 25:49Speaker 6: I'm hearing that nobody likes it.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Is that what Tooch said?
- 25:52Speaker 6: I'm not gonna say who told me?
- 25:54Speaker 7: Would you change your opinion if to changed his Uh?
- 25:58Speaker 5: I wouldn't agree with with Twosho's opinion on that. I
- 26:02Speaker 5: think the multiplayer is really good. I think the campaign.
- 26:05Speaker 5: I didn't play the campaign. The campaign sucks. But the
- 26:08Speaker 5: campaign hasn't been good in Call of Duty since twenty eleven,
- 26:12Speaker 5: so it's like, who gives a fuck? The zombies are good,
- 26:15Speaker 5: the multiplayers good. Competitive is going to be unbelievable. It's
- 26:20Speaker 5: a great game.
- 26:21Speaker 1: This is going to be a greedy asque of me.
- 26:23Speaker 1: But do you think that dal touch would want to
- 26:25Speaker 1: come on too, son of a boy dad. It seems
- 26:26Speaker 1: like he has shared interest with you guys.
- 26:29Speaker 6: I know that he would, I know, definitely have him on. Yeah,
- 26:32Speaker 6: he's he's by the way. He is funny and he
- 26:36Speaker 6: fits in so the way he blew up. His thing
- 26:39Speaker 6: that was most popular is that he would put on
- 26:42Speaker 6: a full suit and he would drink a case of beer,
- 26:47Speaker 6: get shit faced and live commentaint commentate tournaments of Call
- 26:52Speaker 6: of Duty and just like shit on the people and
- 26:55Speaker 6: all this, and so people would watch, they would stream
- 26:58Speaker 6: and watch him watch this and commentate on it. He's
- 27:02Speaker 6: really dry, he's really really funny guy.
- 27:05Speaker 5: He's one of a sober dude.
- 27:06Speaker 6: Now, yeah he is. He's one of my good friends.
- 27:10Speaker 5: That's great. I'm happy for you.
- 27:12Speaker 6: Yeah yeah yeah, so, uh he is sober as of
- 27:15Speaker 6: like uh, I think two years ago, maybe a little longer,
- 27:20Speaker 6: but you know, we talked about all that. So yeah,
- 27:23Speaker 6: there's a lot here. Many of us got a lot
- 27:25Speaker 6: in common with you. But but he doesn't. He doesn't
- 27:29Speaker 6: do the sober the way that you do. Like he
- 27:31Speaker 6: doesn't allow himself like three joints a night or anything
- 27:34Speaker 6: like that.
- 27:36Speaker 7: What where's he based out of Austin.
- 27:39Speaker 6: H Yes, yes, he lives in Austin. But we could
- 27:43Speaker 6: get him on.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Or maybe when we do our big, big Austin trip
- 27:46Speaker 1: we'll get we'll link up with him.
- 27:48Speaker 6: Oh that's a good idea. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a
- 27:50Speaker 6: cool idea for Texas Week. Yeah, he said that Harry
- 27:55Speaker 6: followed him on Instagram.
- 27:57Speaker 7: Yeah, after you started talking about him.
- 27:59Speaker 6: Well, Tush is a big deal. I know him as Tousche.
- 28:03Speaker 5: You only know him as Tousche because I just called
- 28:05Speaker 5: him toush.
- 28:06Speaker 6: You would love to think that. Why don't you rewind
- 28:09Speaker 6: to when we were playing golf and I kept saying,
- 28:11Speaker 6: good shot, Toushe.
- 28:13Speaker 5: I'll bu'll believe it when I see it.
- 28:15Speaker 6: You He'll tell you now, I'll be I'll be honest
- 28:18Speaker 6: with you. I think I started calling him too because
- 28:20Speaker 6: Grant Horvat just started calling him toushe, so I was involved.
- 28:26Speaker 6: I know him as Tousche.
- 28:28Speaker 5: Speaking of Grant Francis, do you know Grant car Down No, Roan,
- 28:32Speaker 5: you obviously do ten X, Yes, ten X. He is
- 28:35Speaker 5: the dude who created ten X.
- 28:38Speaker 6: What's that He's like?
- 28:39Speaker 1: He's like a supreme apex predator grifter who sells ideas
- 28:44Speaker 1: for like tens of millions of dollars, but none of
- 28:46Speaker 1: the ideas are materialized. He'll be a life because of
- 28:49Speaker 1: course says this is how you actually you you elevate
- 28:52Speaker 1: your life. All you have to do is just ten
- 28:54Speaker 1: exit and everybody's like taking notes like furiously. But he
- 28:59Speaker 1: literally doesn't say anything of and he's parlayed that into
- 29:03Speaker 1: ten X health And I mean it's it's like a
- 29:08Speaker 1: way of thinking.
- 29:09Speaker 7: It's like a grand scam.
- 29:10Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like what he's a course guy, and you know,
- 29:12Speaker 5: you know the guys like it's like it's like Gary V.
- 29:15Speaker 5: But like if Gary V was less serious.
- 29:19Speaker 6: I think I could become one of those guys.
- 29:21Speaker 7: You easily could.
- 29:22Speaker 5: I don't know, you got to have a certain I
- 29:24Speaker 5: don't know if you could ask him about the way we.
- 29:27Speaker 6: Have been asking me for the war Path workout, and
- 29:29Speaker 6: I think if we just said, like I'm now living
- 29:32Speaker 6: my whole life preparing for war as far as diet,
- 29:37Speaker 6: how how I'm stalking my bunker under my house. Yeah,
- 29:41Speaker 6: what type of the way?
- 29:42Speaker 1: I say, if you made an Instagram account right now
- 29:44Speaker 1: called the war path war pathway of life, like the
- 29:48Speaker 1: war Path lifestyle, you would get to a million followers
- 29:52Speaker 1: ten x faster than you've been on the path to
- 29:54Speaker 1: it right now. You could probably get it by the
- 29:56Speaker 1: by like July of this year if you just like
- 29:59Speaker 1: started speaking.
- 30:01Speaker 5: I I don't know if you have that, if you've
- 30:04Speaker 5: got that, that dog in you though, that killer, like
- 30:06Speaker 5: you got to have that killer in you have. You
- 30:08Speaker 5: got to be able to work in the eyes when
- 30:11Speaker 5: he goes, hey, Francis, what's your workout plan? And you
- 30:13Speaker 5: got to be able to look him in the eyes
- 30:15Speaker 5: and go It's going to be ten thousand dollars. It's
- 30:20Speaker 5: going to cost you ten thousand dollars for my word
- 30:22Speaker 5: to answer.
- 30:23Speaker 7: To this simple question.
- 30:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 30:25Speaker 5: So if you got that in you, then you got
- 30:28Speaker 5: what it takes to be ten.
- 30:29Speaker 1: You're just saying he doesn't have it in him because
- 30:31Speaker 1: he just told you that you don't have it in
- 30:33Speaker 1: you to do what Tusche does.
- 30:36Speaker 5: Look, I've been saying this to myself for the last
- 30:38Speaker 5: couple of days. I don't I'm already as low as
- 30:40Speaker 5: you can't. You can't kick me any lower. I'm as
- 30:42Speaker 5: low as it gets.
- 30:43Speaker 6: Harry is video games streaming on Twitch akin to YouTube golf,
- 30:48Speaker 6: where you don't necessarily have to be that good at
- 30:51Speaker 6: video games. You could just be funny and you yeah,
- 30:55Speaker 6: absolutely the way that you know, you're like.
- 30:57Speaker 7: A wag in sunglasses or something, You're good to go.
- 31:00Speaker 5: Yeah, one hundred.
- 31:01Speaker 6: People, don't you go that route? Why are you not streaming? I? I, uh, well,
- 31:06Speaker 6: first of all, I'm not.
- 31:07Speaker 5: I just don't really like streaming that much, but I
- 31:09Speaker 5: think I think I'm gonna stream today with Muke.
- 31:11Speaker 6: After this, dude, you should be streaming on Twitch.
- 31:15Speaker 5: Yeah. See, I tried it out, and I've got the
- 31:18Speaker 5: setup for it like I could. I'm definitely capable of
- 31:20Speaker 5: doing it, and I enjoy doing it, like when I
- 31:22Speaker 5: go when I do it with like Muke or with
- 31:24Speaker 5: with Peters.
- 31:25Speaker 6: And you just said you don't really like streaming.
- 31:27Speaker 5: I enjoy doing it when I'm with other people. But
- 31:30Speaker 5: I've ripped the solos a couple times. I get off
- 31:33Speaker 5: and it's like I feel sick after, Like you get
- 31:37Speaker 5: off and you're like, what did I just do? Like
- 31:38Speaker 5: I feel dirty, Like I feel like I'm like an
- 31:41Speaker 5: OnlyFans girl. Dude, you get off and then like you
- 31:48Speaker 5: close out of all your shit and then you just
- 31:50Speaker 5: got like the Twitch page pulled up and there's like
- 31:54Speaker 5: seven hundred million other people streaming and they're fucking prison apartments,
- 32:00Speaker 5: and you're just like, I don't think this is what
- 32:02Speaker 5: I want to do, Like, I don't think this is
- 32:04Speaker 5: for me.
- 32:05Speaker 6: Yeah, but you're starting with a lead in that you
- 32:08Speaker 6: have a following and fans who like you because you
- 32:11Speaker 6: play video games. I think people are looking to watch
- 32:13Speaker 6: you stream. Frankly, I would I would pay five dollars
- 32:17Speaker 6: on Twitch. Yeah, I mean I might even pay ten
- 32:20Speaker 6: dollars to become one of your star subscribers, so that
- 32:22Speaker 6: my comments jumped to the top of the chat.
- 32:25Speaker 5: Of course.
- 32:25Speaker 7: Of course, Well, Francis, I didn't know you knew so
- 32:27Speaker 7: much about twitch.
- 32:28Speaker 6: I know a lot about Twitch.
- 32:30Speaker 5: We did a stream this weekend for the Bush Kickoff
- 32:34Speaker 5: had there was a kickoff tournament for Call of Duty,
- 32:36Speaker 5: and we did a We also put out like a
- 32:38Speaker 5: little mini like twenty five minute documentary, so go check
- 32:41Speaker 5: that out on the Bush YouTube.
- 32:43Speaker 6: I was watching clips from that and it didn't make
- 32:45Speaker 6: any sense to me. They were all disjointed.
- 32:48Speaker 5: The clips.
- 32:49Speaker 6: There was no through line or the documentary. It was
- 32:53Speaker 6: clips from the documentary, but it was all in one
- 32:56Speaker 6: video and it was like it opened on mook. Like
- 33:00Speaker 6: I was freaking out. I was losing my mind because
- 33:04Speaker 6: I'm watching this They're not streaming. Yeah, and then Jerry
- 33:07Speaker 6: was like, yeah, you know it was a problem, but
- 33:10Speaker 6: I didn't know what the problem was.
- 33:11Speaker 5: What happened, So we did We got invited. There was
- 33:15Speaker 5: like a kickoff tournament for Black Ops seven and like
- 33:20Speaker 5: the league invited. It was all the pro teams, which
- 33:23Speaker 5: is twelve teams, and then they invited four challengers teams
- 33:26Speaker 5: the minor leagues, and then it was so that they
- 33:28Speaker 5: invited us. We got like an email from the Call
- 33:30Speaker 5: of Duty League being like we want your team to
- 33:32Speaker 5: play in this, which was pretty cool. We were huge.
- 33:34Speaker 5: We were pumped about that and uh yeah, I was
- 33:38Speaker 5: in Baltimore all weekend doing shows and Saturday was day
- 33:44Speaker 5: one of the tournament and our team played the Thebes.
- 33:47Speaker 5: They played La Thieves round one. Would you know if
- 33:50Speaker 5: the Thieves nayshot owns them, they're like the biggest It's
- 33:54Speaker 5: like Optic and then maybe Phase and then Thieves like
- 33:58Speaker 5: there their top three, if not top two organization.
- 34:01Speaker 6: Thieves does things a little differently though.
- 34:04Speaker 5: Yeah they're a super team.
- 34:06Speaker 7: Now asking Francis, how do they do it different?
- 34:08Speaker 6: They're just they're not as they like the ogs of
- 34:12Speaker 6: phaseen Optic were baked in from a very early time
- 34:15Speaker 6: and have kind of those guys have now aged, so
- 34:18Speaker 6: like those guys are in their thirties and stuff like that,
- 34:21Speaker 6: and there's so much infighting and there's all this like
- 34:24Speaker 6: drama between those teams, whereas Thieves is a little bit
- 34:29Speaker 6: more of like a cooperative team. It's run by naide Shot,
- 34:34Speaker 6: who was a good gamer himself, but he's probably more
- 34:37Speaker 6: of a better manager.
- 34:38Speaker 5: I would say, no, I think he's definitely a better gamer.
- 34:42Speaker 6: Okay, well, your word's not mine.
- 34:43Speaker 5: He was really good. He was really good at Call
- 34:45Speaker 5: of Duty. But yeah, so pretty much what happened was
- 34:48Speaker 5: the league does like a broadcast, and there's so many
- 34:52Speaker 5: matches happening, so they were doing it like red Zone
- 34:54Speaker 5: almost where they're hopping back and forth between different matches.
- 34:58Speaker 5: So they gave the players permission to st on their
- 35:00Speaker 5: own so we could see their POV and none of
- 35:03Speaker 5: our players streamed. In the defense of our players, I
- 35:06Speaker 5: will say not a lot of players in general streamed,
- 35:08Speaker 5: but like our guys have to. So it was kind
- 35:12Speaker 5: of a thing where it was like, this was a
- 35:13Speaker 5: big fuck up.
- 35:14Speaker 7: Why do we tell them you're the coach?
- 35:17Speaker 5: We did?
- 35:18Speaker 7: So tell everyone to stream and everyone said no pretty much.
- 35:22Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly why did they not want to stream? What
- 35:24Speaker 6: was their reasoning for not streaming?
- 35:26Speaker 5: I think they just weren't really thinking of it, And
- 35:29Speaker 5: they say.
- 35:30Speaker 6: What does that mean? They weren't thinking of it?
- 35:32Speaker 5: I think they were probably just more focused on competing
- 35:34Speaker 5: that day.
- 35:35Speaker 6: It sounds to me as if there they didn't really
- 35:37Speaker 6: buy in and they didn't want to do the thing,
- 35:39Speaker 6: you know, the sort of like business side of the agreement.
- 35:44Speaker 5: I think what happened is they didn't understand how maybe
- 35:50Speaker 5: they didn't get the idea of like how serious we
- 35:53Speaker 5: are about this that like we had the watch party
- 35:56Speaker 5: set up and we were live and we had like
- 35:58Speaker 5: fifteen hundred people watching, and we just couldn't watch anyone play.
- 36:02Speaker 6: They basically don't understand that in order for you guys
- 36:06Speaker 6: to be able to pay them and to get them
- 36:09Speaker 6: where they need to be, they need to hold up
- 36:11Speaker 6: there into the bargain and do the bare minimum, which
- 36:14Speaker 6: is streaming. It would be like if we refused to
- 36:19Speaker 6: promote our Black Friday merch which is coming out this
- 36:23Speaker 6: Black Friday, Son of a Boy Dad huge drop check
- 36:26Speaker 6: it out only on the Barstool Sports store, right, yes, exactly,
- 36:30Speaker 6: And then Dave flipped out at us, which he would
- 36:33Speaker 6: be totally right to do. Uh, that's how I think
- 36:36Speaker 6: you guys should present this to them. And frankly, I
- 36:39Speaker 6: don't think you guys are in it. No, I see.
- 36:42Speaker 6: That's we're getting a lot of that.
- 36:43Speaker 5: We're getting a lot of people saying, you know, our
- 36:45Speaker 5: team's not serious, they don't care all this stuff, and
- 36:48Speaker 5: I and I, you know, I disagree because I think
- 36:52Speaker 5: they do. Can't well, I know they care. I mean
- 36:54Speaker 5: they all these guys want to They just want to
- 36:55Speaker 5: get back into the league. And we had a good
- 36:58Speaker 5: discussion and things have been fake out and we know
- 37:01Speaker 5: going forward. We stream Jerry's head it best going forward,
- 37:05Speaker 5: we stream.
- 37:06Speaker 6: Don't you think though, that the minute if you guys
- 37:08Speaker 6: get moted back into the league, the minute they're in
- 37:11Speaker 6: the league, they're just gonna fuck off to other teams
- 37:13Speaker 6: and better opportunities.
- 37:15Speaker 5: Definitely, But that's what we signed up for.
- 37:18Speaker 6: So there's no loyalty whatsoever. No, who will you replace
- 37:24Speaker 6: them with? If you get tell your ride Bush to
- 37:26Speaker 6: the league.
- 37:28Speaker 5: Oh if we if tell your ride Bush goes to
- 37:30Speaker 5: the league, it's a completely different story. Like that's like
- 37:33Speaker 5: then we would have guys, there would be definitely be loyalty,
- 37:36Speaker 5: but that would because we would have to be paying
- 37:37Speaker 5: these guys a salary. Right now, it's in challengers, there's
- 37:42Speaker 5: not a lot of loyalty. Like ideally there will be
- 37:45Speaker 5: loyalty towards us because hopefully after this weekend they can
- 37:49Speaker 5: see that we have stuff that we can bring to
- 37:51Speaker 5: the table, Like we have people that want to watch
- 37:53Speaker 5: and are interested in this. Yeah, And like in esports,
- 37:59Speaker 5: eyes are probably the most important thing outside of just
- 38:02Speaker 5: your skill.
- 38:02Speaker 1: SA, who's your biggest star on the team, Like, who's
- 38:05Speaker 1: your biggest Like this kid, it's a fucking star.
- 38:10Speaker 5: Well, our guys are are for the most part. Have
- 38:12Speaker 5: every one of our guys has been in the league,
- 38:15Speaker 5: and they've been and they've been in and out. TJ
- 38:18Speaker 5: our guy, TJ.
- 38:19Speaker 7: So TJ is the star. That's the first one. He said.
- 38:21Speaker 7: TJ is God, TJ Star.
- 38:24Speaker 1: So we're gonna light up, pour some fucking gas on
- 38:26Speaker 1: TJ and blow his ass up.
- 38:29Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely. And and as far as like the buying
- 38:32Speaker 5: in thing goes like everyone's like they're not bought in.
- 38:35Speaker 5: They don't understand the opportunity. It's like, I don't I
- 38:38Speaker 5: don't really blame them because they've been doing this for
- 38:40Speaker 5: ten years. We come in out of nowhere, like I
- 38:43Speaker 5: get it. I get why they would be skeptical or
- 38:46Speaker 5: maybe think that we're not serious about it.
- 38:47Speaker 6: Would you guys say, would you say that you guys
- 38:49Speaker 6: are sort of presenting a slightly different way for them
- 38:52Speaker 6: to gain notoriety and followers and fans than the typical way,
- 38:56Speaker 6: which is to be at the top league. Yeah, soasically,
- 39:00Speaker 6: you guys are the Savannah bananas of whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 39:07Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, no, we are not the Savannah bananas.
- 39:09Speaker 6: I think you guys are the Savannah bananas.
- 39:11Speaker 5: No, Taylor Swift, No, we're not changing anything up in game.
- 39:17Speaker 7: Hill and he does a backflip, he does the macarena.
- 39:20Speaker 7: Oh got it.
- 39:21Speaker 5: Absolutely not none of that. We're We're a classy team.
- 39:25Speaker 5: We play by the rules.
- 39:27Speaker 6: You guys are definitely good at baseball, but you're still
- 39:30Speaker 6: a joke.
- 39:31Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, no, You'll.
- 39:33Speaker 6: See it's more about fun than it is about actual
- 39:36Speaker 6: integrity of the game.
- 39:38Speaker 5: No, and I will say I will say, like we've
- 39:40Speaker 5: we've had two kind of tournaments already. We've been destroyed
- 39:46Speaker 5: at both of them. But I think something that everyone
- 39:48Speaker 5: has to keep in mind, because I tweeted out and
- 39:50Speaker 5: I was like, you know, heads are high, like onward,
- 39:55Speaker 5: let's keep this thing moving. We haven't lost against a
- 39:59Speaker 5: challengers team yet, We've only lost against pro teams who
- 40:02Speaker 5: are being paid millions of dollars.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Also also Francis saying you guys are a joke, could
- 40:08Speaker 1: be the start of your guys edit.
- 40:10Speaker 6: Oh, absolutely that could be.
- 40:13Speaker 5: I got we got, I got a bunch of I
- 40:15Speaker 5: got guys that are that are watching the zoom right now.
- 40:17Speaker 5: You guys don't even know about it.
- 40:19Speaker 6: Yeah, you guys did the Harlem Globetrotters of E Sports.
- 40:23Speaker 5: Yeah, we might have more employees than Barstool has right now.
- 40:26Speaker 5: We got like six hundred guys that we're working with.
- 40:30Speaker 7: What they do, what's their jobs?
- 40:35Speaker 5: They've all been there everywhere.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Francis, did you like your edits this past week? I
- 40:40Speaker 1: feel like they were really nice.
- 40:41Speaker 6: I didn't expect that to happen when you mentioned that
- 40:45Speaker 6: on the podcast first of all, I didn't know what
- 40:47Speaker 6: an edit was.
- 40:49Speaker 1: I was definitely baiting. I mean it was a heavy bait.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I knew that we were going to get some heavy
- 40:53Speaker 1: ones after you if you bring it up, like if
- 40:55Speaker 1: you ask for an edit, you know that there's going
- 40:57Speaker 1: to be the absolute uge of heat.
- 41:00Speaker 6: Yeah. Well, I think had I known that that was
- 41:03Speaker 6: potentially coming, I probably would have tried to be far
- 41:06Speaker 6: more concise in my introduction to the edit instead of
- 41:11Speaker 6: reading the entire fucking post that I did. You know it,
- 41:16Speaker 6: it really makes people wait a while for the music
- 41:19Speaker 6: to drop. However, Harry's syncing up with the some Day
- 41:26Speaker 6: was really really good. Also, for what it's worth, that
- 41:29Speaker 6: is a song that I never It never occurred to
- 41:32Speaker 6: me that that's like some aspirational song.
- 41:37Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that's the.
- 41:38Speaker 6: First song that came to your mind, Harry when you
- 41:41Speaker 6: think of like turning it around and things going no, no.
- 41:45Speaker 5: That's just because that song gets used in edits constantly.
- 41:48Speaker 5: Oh it's like the.
- 41:49Speaker 6: Song See these are things I don't know. Yeah, that's
- 41:53Speaker 6: all right, Okay, well, yeah, I mean it was pretty
- 41:56Speaker 6: cool and some I will say that there was definitely
- 41:59Speaker 6: a range of ability in the edits Some of them
- 42:04Speaker 6: were really really good, and then some were like, dude,
- 42:07Speaker 6: what happened here? Yeah?
- 42:08Speaker 5: You made this on Instagram.
- 42:09Speaker 6: You just made You just used whatever footage you had.
- 42:13Speaker 5: It's like whatever Francis footage you already had in your
- 42:17Speaker 5: camera role.
- 42:18Speaker 6: You didn't dig too deep. You just used the last
- 42:21Speaker 6: five minutes of the internet invitation. Some people like when
- 42:25Speaker 6: got footage of me unbusting with the boys and you know,
- 42:28Speaker 6: stand up clips, and like.
- 42:29Speaker 7: You were hitting you with still photos of yourself?
- 42:33Speaker 1: Yeah, which I and then but at the end they
- 42:36Speaker 1: were like, put in it. They had too much time,
- 42:38Speaker 1: so they were putting still photos of themselves in there.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Just people having a good ass time.
- 42:43Speaker 7: With the edits.
- 42:44Speaker 1: But I mean for even trying to make an edit,
- 42:47Speaker 1: you get points from me.
- 42:48Speaker 5: Oh big time.
- 42:49Speaker 1: That's extra credit. That's all extra credit. That's not required
- 42:52Speaker 1: reading at all. Sas why did you bring up grank cardon?
- 43:00Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that. Oh no, I
- 43:03Speaker 5: just saw a funny video of him. I saw just
- 43:05Speaker 5: a classic Grant video.
- 43:07Speaker 7: It was like him from ten xx the Grifter.
- 43:10Speaker 6: Oh you mentioned Grif?
- 43:11Speaker 5: Yeah, he saw a video of him going through Uh
- 43:14Speaker 5: he was like doing one of his videos, and he's
- 43:16Speaker 5: standing at like an airport security thing like a TSA
- 43:21Speaker 5: like TSA like the scanners, and he's like telling these
- 43:24Speaker 5: guys that are like taking the course to like empty
- 43:26Speaker 5: out their luggage. And one of the guys has like
- 43:29Speaker 5: a hair brush and like a hairdryer, and he's like,
- 43:32Speaker 5: look at this was it Is this someone that you
- 43:34Speaker 5: would ever want to be friends with? He would ever
- 43:36Speaker 5: trust this guy? And he's like going through all he
- 43:39Speaker 5: like finds his deodorant. He's like, this is women's deodorant.
- 43:42Speaker 5: Get the fuck out of here, and it's like, dude,
- 43:44Speaker 5: people are paying for that.
- 43:46Speaker 6: Hang on, is this the guy that tells people to
- 43:49Speaker 6: like take their shirts off.
- 43:50Speaker 5: It's the exact same thing. It's not that guy, but
- 43:52Speaker 5: it's the exact same thing.
- 43:54Speaker 6: Okay.
- 43:55Speaker 5: It's like shaming just normal dudes into thinking they're like
- 43:58Speaker 5: the worst person on the planet and that the fact
- 44:00Speaker 5: that they have a hair dryer in their back is
- 44:02Speaker 5: the reason that they're not a millionaire.
- 44:04Speaker 1: But you look at the audiences of those places and
- 44:07Speaker 1: like other menonists, red pill conventions, and like the dudes
- 44:11Speaker 1: are like pretty jacked, Like they do have like kind
- 44:14Speaker 1: of like spiky like nick Lache hair and like tap
- 44:17Speaker 1: out shirts and shit like that, but like they are,
- 44:19Speaker 1: like it's not even like they're like slobs who need
- 44:23Speaker 1: uh you know, to turn their life around.
- 44:26Speaker 7: It seems like they're already there. But I guess it's
- 44:29Speaker 7: just the kind of the content that they like.
- 44:30Speaker 5: And I think it's just like dudes that they're absolute lowest.
- 44:34Speaker 5: Like I think it's like they're doing they look good physically,
- 44:37Speaker 5: but I think everything else is like they have no
- 44:39Speaker 5: idea what's going on because they go in. It's dubes
- 44:43Speaker 5: that go in with like they're like eleven percent body fat,
- 44:47Speaker 5: like maybe they got a like they got like a
- 44:48Speaker 5: little something that you could grab onto, and they go in.
- 44:52Speaker 5: They need Grant to look them and look at them
- 44:54Speaker 5: and be like you're a fat fuck. You're a fucking
- 44:56Speaker 5: disgusted around you fucking pig wild War.
- 45:02Speaker 1: I always wondering what the first step on that journey
- 45:05Speaker 1: looks like, Like did he start selling right away or
- 45:08Speaker 1: did he start motivating right away?
- 45:10Speaker 7: Or what? What?
- 45:10Speaker 1: How do you get into that world of making forcibly
- 45:14Speaker 1: taking other people's shirts off.
- 45:16Speaker 5: I don't motivating is a weird one because I I
- 45:19Speaker 5: love like I'm a big motivational guy, Like I love
- 45:22Speaker 5: like a good motivational video. And I listen to some
- 45:25Speaker 5: of these guys, not like the take your shirt off dudes,
- 45:27Speaker 5: but like I'll listen to the occasional motivational.
- 45:30Speaker 7: Speaker, little Tony Robbins, Little.
- 45:32Speaker 5: Tony Robbins, Little Eric, little Eric Thomas, you know the standards,
- 45:36Speaker 5: little Aky Johnson, who knows? But you don't know, Inky, No,
- 45:42Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 45:43Speaker 1: I'm saying, who's keeping scores? All I'm saying, but I
- 45:45Speaker 1: don't know, Ikey Johnson, put me on, put me on.
- 45:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll send you some Minky later. But you watch
- 45:52Speaker 5: these guys and you know, they kind of go on
- 45:54Speaker 5: about their like I like, I wanted to be the
- 45:56Speaker 5: top of my game, like like you gotta be hungry,
- 46:00Speaker 5: stay hungry. And then you're like, but all you're doing
- 46:02Speaker 5: is just telling everyone what to do. So it's like,
- 46:04Speaker 5: how do they?
- 46:06Speaker 8: Like?
- 46:06Speaker 5: I guess I'm a little I'm a little confused by
- 46:08Speaker 5: how that whole thing works as well.
- 46:09Speaker 7: Wait, does Inky Johnson only have one arm? What's going on?
- 46:12Speaker 5: Yeah, he's only got one arm. He played it, he
- 46:15Speaker 5: played football paralyzed.
- 46:18Speaker 6: You know who I find really inspirational more than those
- 46:22Speaker 6: guys that you're talking about, Harry, No, I canna say
- 46:26Speaker 6: the people that you know tell the story of how
- 46:30Speaker 6: they were completely addicted to drugs and then kind of
- 46:34Speaker 6: come back from from really rock bottom. On that. I've
- 46:37Speaker 6: there was a guy who played for I think the
- 46:40Speaker 6: Celtics for very Yeah, Sharon YouTube video boy that that's
- 46:48Speaker 6: really inspirational to me. Where I'm like Jesus, I guess
- 46:53Speaker 6: the way for me to go forward is to start
- 46:55Speaker 6: taking serious drugs.
- 46:57Speaker 5: You gotta go low before you can get you got.
- 46:59Speaker 6: I'm right now, I'm just living in a normal plane.
- 47:02Speaker 6: I have to go down in order to go all
- 47:04Speaker 6: the way up.
- 47:05Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 47:06Speaker 6: I'm the lowest.
- 47:07Speaker 7: The springboard on the way up is Christianity too.
- 47:10Speaker 5: Oh big time you start.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Coming back up and then you fucking launch off of Christianity.
- 47:16Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I don't. I haven't found God yet because
- 47:19Speaker 6: I haven't started looking.
- 47:22Speaker 7: You haven't hit rock bottom.
- 47:24Speaker 6: Any reason for me to search, you know, I'm I'm
- 47:27Speaker 6: looking out and watching guys shoot iguanas like life is
- 47:30Speaker 6: pretty good.
- 47:31Speaker 7: Yeah, you know who's that?
- 47:33Speaker 1: Who's my inspiration is a first responders, firefighters and cops.
- 47:37Speaker 6: You're a big firefighter guy.
- 47:39Speaker 1: I'm realizing that about myself. My wife was also calling
- 47:42Speaker 1: me out. She's like, anytime there's like firefighters and cops
- 47:45Speaker 1: around you like slob on their They're not badly. You
- 47:49Speaker 1: just want to surround yourself with firefighters and cops.
- 47:52Speaker 6: I'm the same way with black people. Hell yeah, and
- 47:58Speaker 6: God helped me. If I ever meet a black firefighter.
- 48:02Speaker 7: They exist, they exist, they're out here.
- 48:04Speaker 6: Wow, you were really badly burned. I don't know about that,
- 48:12Speaker 6: but hang on, hang on, so so Roan. I mean,
- 48:16Speaker 6: as a kid, I was obsessed with firefighters and fire trucks.
- 48:20Speaker 6: That was like my number one thing. But I that shifted.
- 48:25Speaker 6: And have you maintained this adulation of fireman your whole life.
- 48:31Speaker 1: No, I think it's more of a recent I think
- 48:33Speaker 1: it's more of a recent.
- 48:35Speaker 5: Uh infatuation is because all of your friends are firefighters.
- 48:40Speaker 7: That be part of it. And I wind up.
- 48:46Speaker 1: I'll even start talking to him, and I'll start code switching,
- 48:48Speaker 1: the same way Francis went with the black guy.
- 48:51Speaker 9: I'll be like, yeah, down at the firehouse on engine
- 48:55Speaker 9: at lasted two twenty, and I'll just fucking start going
- 48:59Speaker 9: like full like New New York guy voice, and uh,
- 49:03Speaker 9: it's it's shameful honestly, because I'll start telling them about
- 49:05Speaker 9: other firefighters and cops I know, and I like leaving
- 49:08Speaker 9: the conversation.
- 49:08Speaker 7: I know they don't want to fucking hear about it.
- 49:10Speaker 1: They don't want to hear about a firefighter I know,
- 49:13Speaker 1: to try and relate to a lived experience that they have.
- 49:16Speaker 1: It's so fucking preposterous. But uh, some of them like
- 49:19Speaker 1: to tell stories. Some of them like the spin yards
- 49:22Speaker 1: all the world.
- 49:22Speaker 5: You want to be a firefighter, pick your top city.
- 49:27Speaker 5: Not New York, Not New York, definitely not New York.
- 49:29Speaker 5: So pick another one.
- 49:31Speaker 6: Yeah, probably Seattle since it rains all the time.
- 49:34Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a good pick. Sales for the same reason.
- 49:39Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, it has to be somewhere more.
- 49:41Speaker 1: But a lot of cities don't pay their firefighters, Like
- 49:44Speaker 1: a lot of them are either volunteers or they're not unionized,
- 49:49Speaker 1: and they don't have a good ass job.
- 49:51Speaker 5: I think like that says we haven't had any big fires,
- 49:53Speaker 5: Like we need a big one just to get these
- 49:55Speaker 5: guys paid.
- 49:57Speaker 7: Southern California would suck. New York would suck.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Any like dense city, I think with being a suburban fighter,
- 50:04Speaker 1: Like all you have to do is like bench press
- 50:06Speaker 1: and like stay ready.
- 50:08Speaker 5: I think that's the play. Stay in the suburbs. Occasionally
- 50:11Speaker 5: a dryer goes off.
- 50:14Speaker 6: Dude, the I'll say, Roan, tell me what you think
- 50:17Speaker 6: about this, since you're the resident fireman expert, but the sucker,
- 50:23Speaker 6: I think that mayan. It seems to me that people
- 50:26Speaker 6: who fight forest fires are an even different breed of
- 50:32Speaker 6: firefighter than you know, city firemen.
- 50:35Speaker 7: Yeah, because they don't even get to whistle at girls.
- 50:38Speaker 6: Well, they're also they're also like they can never win.
- 50:42Speaker 5: No, there is no winning like in the in this.
- 50:45Speaker 6: As in the city, it's like, you know, you show
- 50:48Speaker 6: up a lot of the time, it's like, oh there's
- 50:52Speaker 6: smoke coming out of that, Oh, someone just left their
- 50:54Speaker 6: toaster on too long, or you know, you never I understand,
- 50:59Speaker 6: it's stills and stuff. Whereas guys who were fighting forest fires,
- 51:02Speaker 6: it's like, all right, bad news everyone. Four thousand acres
- 51:07Speaker 6: around us are on fire and the winds are picking up.
- 51:10Speaker 6: So I guess we'll just dump a couple buckets on
- 51:13Speaker 6: this and hope for the best. Hopefully we can save
- 51:16Speaker 6: the church in town.
- 51:18Speaker 7: Yeah, that is brutal.
- 51:20Speaker 1: That is an insane way to live your life. It's
- 51:22Speaker 1: like doing cancer research. It's like, yeah, we're probably not
- 51:25Speaker 1: going to solve this.

- 59:57Speaker 6: Okay, I saw I saw this movie called The Last Bus.
- 1:00:01Speaker 6: Did you see this? Oh, it's with Matthew McConaughey, And
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: it's imagine if like the Magic school Bus, uh meets fire.
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: That's really what it was. It's him in this town.
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: He's he's got to round up a bunch of kids
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: and save them and drive through fire and and it's
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: it's really dramatic, and none of them make it.
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: Unfortunately, anyone else getting a little anyone else a little
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: over McConaughey, Yeah, just kind of getting like we get it.
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: This movie was not good.
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: I think he's a great actor, but I don't know.
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: I have a hard time with some of these dudes,
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: like like they're like yeah, and it's like you see
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: McConaughey and it's like you can tell like he thinks
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: he's the guy in the movies like you think you're
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: the guy from True Detective, Like you're you're a theater kid.
- 1:00:51Speaker 6: I think he's done with a lot of people, what
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: a lot of where he's like become a caricature of himself.
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: Yeah, you're not this like grizzled fucking country like he's
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: you see the videos of him walking the sidelines of
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: the Texas games like he owns the team, like he
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: was out there, yeah.
- 1:01:10Speaker 7: Right right, just whistle lisping at them.
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: And it's like dude, like, yeah.
- 1:01:17Speaker 7: You're rich, but you can you can afford the aesthetic?
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: Yeah exactly.
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: Yeah, but he did. I will say there was a
- 1:01:23Speaker 6: moment there where he went from you know, perfect tan
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: Chiseled rom com heart throb to AIDS and that was
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: an impressive transformation. I think he needs to go back
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: to AIDS, you know, or Mud. Mud was really good.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: I watched that. I've seen the trailer probably ten thousand times.
- 1:01:45Speaker 6: You should see Mud.
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: I just like I said, I just don't like I
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: like McConaughey, I love True Detective, I love the AIDS movie.
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: Mud is like AIDS True Detective, yeah exactly, and I
- 1:01:59Speaker 6: like really good, Like I I have nothing to say
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: bad about McConaughey's acting.
- 1:02:02Speaker 5: He's probably one of the best to ever do it.
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: But you're not that guy.
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: They are not the guy.
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: You're not the guy in real life.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: The problem with McConaughey, though, is if he sat down
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: with us, we'd probably walk away being like he's the man.
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: But was that all in act? You know?
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Was that just him like being able to like fully
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: distill the human experience into what a charming dude is
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: like as the fourth in a three man group.
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: I think he's always he's always on.
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: He's always calculating dude.
- 1:02:34Speaker 6: I also think I also think that every leading actor
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: has their moment and then they fade, And a lot
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: of what causes them to fade is wrong choices in projects. Yeah,
- 1:02:47Speaker 6: you look at Denzel Washington. There was a period there where.
- 1:02:51Speaker 7: They tried to kill my wife sas do it one time.
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: No, no, no, I don't got it in me.
- 1:02:58Speaker 7: Okay, Denzel? Who else? Uh?
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: You know McConaughey had it.
- 1:03:04Speaker 7: Leo.
- 1:03:06Speaker 6: But here's the thing I was just gonna say. Leo
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: has never cooled off exactly, and because it's because he
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: doesn't over expose himself. He remintains this miss mystique. He's
- 1:03:23Speaker 6: he's very limited. He never seems to make a wrong
- 1:03:27Speaker 6: choice on a movie, except for that one that I.
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: Almost don't look he was great, just that movie was
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: that movie sucked?
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: Yeah, But there's just he's so he's almost like got
- 1:03:42Speaker 6: an edge of who's the great character at Daniel day Lewis,
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: Like there's almost a Daniel day Lewis. Some of them
- 1:03:49Speaker 6: where you're like, we don't, I don't know where he is.
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: Where is Leo DiCaprio.
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: Probably fucking somewhere, But you got to assume most of
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: the hours you're away, Cleo's fucking sixty hours a day.
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: No, you don't think that his libido has decreased as
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: he is, he fifty.
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: He's getting the libido injections straight into his cock.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: No, but like you would say, he has Adam Sandler
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: body like, you'd think that if he was getting the injections,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: he would at least get fucking like easy.
- 1:04:21Speaker 7: He could easily get an injection to have him jacked.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: He could be on the Kumail nan Gianni injection and
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: just be fucking Yeah.
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: He might be slowing down.
- 1:04:29Speaker 6: And I will say that he's such a good actor
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: that he can go from the Wolf of Wall Street
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: to the Revenant where he's like starving and being mauled
- 1:04:39Speaker 6: by a bear on the frontier, to the Aviator, and
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: he just has the same body in every single movie.
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: And there's no director that can be like, hey, we
- 1:04:47Speaker 6: would love it if you would lose fifty five pounds
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: for this role.
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, it's just not gonna happen.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: I heard that they asked Marlon Brando to do that
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: for Apocalypse. Now, Yeah, did you hear that story that
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: the as him to lose like they needed him to
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: lose like seventy pounds because he was supposed to be
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: this guru like jungle leader and he just refused to
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: do it. So they had to completely rewrite the role
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: because like he was gonna be a fat Vietnamese like
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: tribal leader.
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: Damn, Dave made me lose twenty pounds when we started
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: this podcast, he said, well, you can do a show.
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: I'm gonna need you to slam up though.
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: We need the youthful boy.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Look, okay, we need to appeal to like the high
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: school guy audience.
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: Oh dude. I went out to brunch with Jeff d.
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: Lowe in Austin and We went to this place called
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: paper Boy, and they had all these shareables on the
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: menu and it was like all kinds of sweet, sweet treats.
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: They had a Q line brioche and a homemade pop
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: tart and they had the ricatta toast and the cinnamon
- 1:05:54Speaker 6: toast and and Jeff and I are ordering. We did
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: our entrees. First, we each got like some big egg entree,
- 1:06:00Speaker 6: you know, an omelet or whatever. And then he was like,
- 1:06:02Speaker 6: let's get a couple of the share bells sharebles and
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: he would throw one out and then I was like,
- 1:06:06Speaker 6: let's do this one too, and then he threw another
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: one out, and then I was like, and then let's
- 1:06:10Speaker 6: do this. And we were just like egging each other on,
- 1:06:13Speaker 6: you know, p unintended. And I was so happy with
- 1:06:17Speaker 6: the way that he ordered. But as our food came in,
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: this kid walked in, who, I swear to god was
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: the most sass doppelganger I've ever seen in my fucking life.
- 1:06:29Speaker 6: And I think he was probably like seventeen, and I
- 1:06:32Speaker 6: really wanted to give him some of my food.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: You could have used it, yeah, he could have used it,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: but then he's too plumped for a show on Dave's network.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: But I think I think that you should have at
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: least snapped a picture of brother.
- 1:06:44Speaker 7: We could have seen.
- 1:06:45Speaker 6: I wanted to, but I could tell he was underage.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: There's no surprise to me that Jeff Low is a
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: great spotfinder and orderer.
- 1:06:55Speaker 6: Dude, he orders the way I do. He orders the
- 1:06:58Speaker 6: way I do, which is to say, leave leave no
- 1:07:01Speaker 6: stone unturned. You know, the fomo I get from worrying
- 1:07:06Speaker 6: that I didn't order the best thing on the menu,
- 1:07:09Speaker 6: uh is far more painful than the feeling of my
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: stomach stretching to the point where I have to lie
- 1:07:15Speaker 6: down for six hours.
- 1:07:16Speaker 5: I just don't get I just don't like. I don't
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: know why. It's just I just don't have that in me,
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: Like I never And I feel like there's so many
- 1:07:24Speaker 5: people like that who it's like they got to get
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: the right, like they're panicking at the menu.
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: I don't get social fomo, but I do get food fomo.
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't get any food fomo.
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: Well, you don't really eat. I mean you're you go
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: to any restaurant you go to, you have the burger.
- 1:07:42Speaker 5: Not quite not quite.
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: You don't even say how's the burger? You just say,
- 1:07:47Speaker 6: I'll have the burger.
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: Because what are they gonna house the burger? It's terrible.
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: Don't get it. That's not gonna happen.
- 1:07:54Speaker 6: No, I know. But we could be at a tie
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: restaurant and you're gonna get the burger a.
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: Pad Thai last night?
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: Yeah, burger flavor. Yeah I did.
- 1:08:02Speaker 7: Also pad Tie, that's the burger of Thaie food.
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: It definitely is. And honestly, I actually think I just
- 1:08:09Speaker 5: don't really like pad tie.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Pat cu might be better. It's like mescal to tequila.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: It has like a little smoky.
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: See you good. But you know what it is about
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: pad Tie. It's the egg. Get the egg out of there.
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: Who the fuck is asking for that mushy, gross egg
- 1:08:28Speaker 5: that looks like chicken. You won't know it's not chicken
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: until you bite into it and find out that it's egg.
- 1:08:35Speaker 6: At a tie The chicken of the tree.
- 1:08:41Speaker 7: Oh my god.
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: Yo.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: So one of these security guards in Chicago that when
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: we were walking with the with the rats, the rat
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: jumped onto my shoe, the jumped onto his shoe.
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: He shot it. Former cop by the way, solid solid guy.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: But he said that he was going to Disney World
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: and like two days before he left he ripped his
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: calf muscle, and so he was supposed to be walking
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: around with his kids at disney World. But then he
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: said he had to be in a wheelchair for the
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: entire time at disney World. And I was like, well,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: at least you get to bump up to the front
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: of the line like wheelchair I think at Disney World
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: bumps to the front of the line. And he told
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: me that they got rid of that a couple of
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: years ago because local Florida families were renting out their
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: special needs children at Disney World for people to take
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: them to the fast of the line. It's the real
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: fast past. And at first I was like, that's so
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: fucked up, but then I realized it's the first ever
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: win win win situation where you get to go to
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: the front of the line, the parents get to get
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: a little money, and there's a fucking special needs kid
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: just going to Disney World every day of the week,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: riding the rides, waiting in no lines. Yeah, that's the
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: most victimless crime that's ever existed.
- 1:09:57Speaker 5: That's a healthy exchange, that's all. It's just a healthy exchange.
- 1:10:01Speaker 6: Roan, Have I ever told you I used to be
- 1:10:03Speaker 6: an autograph hound. When I was a kid, I was
- 1:10:08Speaker 6: a hound, and I would insist that we when we
- 1:10:11Speaker 6: would go to Celtics games, my dad and me, because
- 1:10:13Speaker 6: when I was in seventh grade, I had sepsis in
- 1:10:16Speaker 6: my ankle and it was really really bad. So I
- 1:10:19Speaker 6: was in the hospital for a long time, and when
- 1:10:21Speaker 6: I came out of it, I was so sick. That
- 1:10:24Speaker 6: sort of to help me like recover because I had
- 1:10:27Speaker 6: an IV that was in my catheter, that was in
- 1:10:30Speaker 6: my heart and stuff like, I was in a bad way.
- 1:10:32Speaker 6: So we got a ten game package to the Celtics.
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: When was this when I was in seventh grade, and
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: you know, obviously I was on life support for a
- 1:10:40Speaker 5: couple months.
- 1:10:41Speaker 7: I sat in my ankle and my liver.
- 1:10:45Speaker 6: We used to he would have to he would have
- 1:10:49Speaker 6: to administer my antibiotics through my catheter in my heart
- 1:10:54Speaker 6: during the game because I had to do them four
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: times a day, and he would like, we would like
- 1:11:01Speaker 6: lift up my shirt very kind of subtly. And I
- 1:11:04Speaker 6: always remember there always be like some other man drinking
- 1:11:07Speaker 6: around us who'd be like that kid's a fucking warrior sick,
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: which was cool. But anyway, uh, that was when I
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: was in seventh grade and I was a hound, and
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: that year I did my best autograph work because I
- 1:11:22Speaker 6: was a sickly child.
- 1:11:24Speaker 7: A chair in a chair, wheelchair with like a blanket
- 1:11:26Speaker 7: over your lap.
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: No, I was out of the chair once I got
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: out of the hospital. Uh No, because I had to
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: have the ankle surgery. So she's in a chair for
- 1:11:35Speaker 6: a little bit. But no, when I when I was
- 1:11:39Speaker 6: going to the games, I was no longer in the chair,
- 1:11:41Speaker 6: but I would. We would show up an hour and
- 1:11:43Speaker 6: a half early during shoot around and go. I knew
- 1:11:46Speaker 6: exactly where I needed to stand and I needed to
- 1:11:48Speaker 6: get autographs. And then I hit a growth spurt, probably
- 1:11:53Speaker 6: around that time, like eighth grade, and then I went
- 1:11:55Speaker 6: when I was out, dude. When I was a freshman
- 1:11:58Speaker 6: in high school, my buddy Michael and I went to
- 1:12:02Speaker 6: see the Celtics play the Cabs in Lebron's rookie year.
- 1:12:06Speaker 6: And I was so excited about Lebron, and I had
- 1:12:09Speaker 6: mowed a lot of lawns to save up to buy
- 1:12:11Speaker 6: the Cleveland Cavaliers Lebron James authentic jersey, the red one.
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: It was fucking sick and I was waiting to try
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: to get his autographed, and I remember Darius Miles took
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: the jersey and signed it and it was the Lebron jersey,
- 1:12:31Speaker 6: at which point I was like, well, the only way
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: this makes sense now is if I get the entire
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: team plus Lebron, right, Yeah. So then I just started
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: like begging these like benchwarmers to come sign the jersey,
- 1:12:44Speaker 6: which they did, and sure enough Lebron comes back to
- 1:12:47Speaker 6: go through the shoot around, and because I was no
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: longer a sick child, the only person on the team
- 1:12:53Speaker 6: whose autograph I did not get was Lebron James. Brutal
- 1:12:57Speaker 6: though I have like eleven autograph on an authentic Lebron
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: James jersey from a Cavs team that meant nothing, and
- 1:13:06Speaker 6: the only one missing is the guy who's jersey.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: You've got to get it at the Internet Invitational next
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: year when he plays in it.
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, bring it.
- 1:13:13Speaker 6: I have this jersey, and I have thought like, is
- 1:13:16Speaker 6: there a way for us to maybe I haven't even
- 1:13:18Speaker 6: told this story, is there a way for us to
- 1:13:20Speaker 6: leverage some sort of connection to get Lebron to just
- 1:13:23Speaker 6: sign it.
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: I think we had this conversation about a year ago
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: on the podcast, and we may have nothing came from
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: it then, but we've got more a little more steam. Now,
- 1:13:34Speaker 5: who do you.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: Think your show, we told that story all the invitation
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: next like a big, big golf video, next, good good
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: golf video that you do.
- 1:13:43Speaker 7: Make sure that you tell this story.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: So it can kind of get to him, because if
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: he's watching YouTube golf videos, maybe there's a way.
- 1:13:52Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 1:13:53Speaker 5: I'm shall keeping it in your golf bag at all times.
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: I don't need it for any other reason than to
- 1:13:59Speaker 6: fill a hole in my heart. It's like a feeling
- 1:14:03Speaker 6: of having missed. There's one puzzle piece missing.
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: You should just like send it to Lebron, just mail
- 1:14:09Speaker 5: it to him.
- 1:14:10Speaker 6: Well, then there's no guarantee that his assistant's not going
- 1:14:12Speaker 6: to sign it.
- 1:14:14Speaker 5: True or Ronnie see him, Yeah, Ronnie might devalue the jersey.
- 1:14:18Speaker 6: Yeah, there has to be a way. There has to
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: be someone that we know who is. I don't know
- 1:14:29Speaker 6: that Dave knows or Big Cat knows that we can
- 1:14:32Speaker 6: use to get to Lebron.
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: Well, I think the problem is Dave has publicly hated
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: Lebron for twenty years.
- 1:14:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: True, So that is your best rout, So Franz is
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: when you were out of the wheelchair.
- 1:14:44Speaker 7: How are you proving you were sickly?
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Well, I had lost a ton of weight, but they
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: don't even know what your base weight was.
- 1:14:52Speaker 6: No, but I did. I did not look well.
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: Oh so you were sickly presenting I was sickly feeling.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I just didn't know. Like, of course, I'm not
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: doubting that you felt sickly. I'm just saying, like, how
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: did Darius Miles or whoever else know to like come
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: up to you or.
- 1:15:09Speaker 6: Those guys were just giving autographs to everybody? Got it?
- 1:15:12Speaker 6: Got it, didn't It didn't really matter. I mean I
- 1:15:15Speaker 6: was there so early and that I was standing in
- 1:15:18Speaker 6: the away tunnel in the right spot, so you know,
- 1:15:23Speaker 6: they came out and signed a bunch of autographs.
- 1:15:24Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:15:25Speaker 6: But by the way, do you know who else signed?
- 1:15:26Speaker 6: Was car I think Carlos Boozer, Yeah, was on that team. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:30Speaker 6: I got his. And then then I said, I said,
- 1:15:33Speaker 6: before the game, I go, hey, Carlos, may I have
- 1:15:35Speaker 6: your shoes, and he goes, I've got to wear them
- 1:15:38Speaker 6: for the game, but I'll find you after to give
- 1:15:40Speaker 6: them to you. And he didn't.
- 1:15:44Speaker 7: Be looking for me.
- 1:15:45Speaker 6: I wasn't. I don't remember being in the right spot
- 1:15:47Speaker 6: to receive them.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: He just stood there on the corner for fifteen minutes
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: waiting for you to.
- 1:15:53Speaker 5: Yeah, Josh Jacobs just did Did you see that? He
- 1:15:56Speaker 5: took the ball back from that kid and then he
- 1:15:58Speaker 5: sent him a signed ball and it just signed Jersey.
- 1:16:01Speaker 6: Hmmm.
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: That's just class. That's class. We had a guy like
- 1:16:05Speaker 5: that on the Patriots right now.
- 1:16:07Speaker 6: I think Elton Brand was also on that team, but
- 1:16:09Speaker 6: I could be wrong. No, what am I saying? I'm
- 1:16:13Speaker 6: conflating this. That wasn't the Cavs team. That was the
- 1:16:17Speaker 6: Clippers with Darius Miles on Lebron's rookie team.
- 1:16:25Speaker 7: I think he was. I think he was maybe a
- 1:16:27Speaker 7: little bit.
- 1:16:28Speaker 6: And and so was Carlos Boozer, right, yeah, that would
- 1:16:30Speaker 6: make more sense. Okay, that's right. Not Elton Brand. Then
- 1:16:33Speaker 6: forget al.
- 1:16:36Speaker 7: He's saying.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: He's making stories. Steve Rasniyazzi, I was at that game,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: damn nice. But by the time you were fourteen, though,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: they were probably like Lebron was probably like he thought
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: you were a basketball player.
- 1:16:51Speaker 6: Size, Yeah he did, he did? He look healthy?
- 1:16:54Speaker 7: Boy?
- 1:16:55Speaker 6: Yeah, my kids, well fed?
- 1:16:57Speaker 7: What were you saying, sas brother.
- 1:16:59Speaker 5: I was just saying we had in the office last week.
- 1:17:01Speaker 6: Francis, you missed him the fuck you had bowen the
- 1:17:04Speaker 6: day that I'm not there.
- 1:17:05Speaker 5: I didn't know you weren't going to be there. I
- 1:17:06Speaker 5: also heard that you offered up your apartment to him.
- 1:17:11Speaker 6: He and I talked.
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: I was killing me. I was cracking me up.
- 1:17:14Speaker 6: I was on the phone with him and I was like,
- 1:17:16Speaker 6: where are you staying this week? And he said he
- 1:17:18Speaker 6: was staying at on your couch and I was like,
- 1:17:21Speaker 6: I don't think you want to do that. You know
- 1:17:23Speaker 6: you're gonna have to brush all the rat droppings off.
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: Clean as hell, look out clean this places people.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: You should take a picture of that background without you
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: in it so people can use it as there's it's
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: kind of clean and iconic.
- 1:17:38Speaker 5: Yeah, but I got I have one. I ordered blackout
- 1:17:42Speaker 5: curtains and they brought one.
- 1:17:45Speaker 7: They brought one sad one.
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: Right here is the blackout and then these are not
- 1:17:49Speaker 5: blackout curtains, so it's pretty brutal.
- 1:17:52Speaker 6: It's kind of half blackout.
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: I just don't know in what world you would think
- 1:17:56Speaker 5: you would have to buy two of the curtains. You
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: would expect it to be. They be packaging the curtains individually.
- 1:18:03Speaker 6: Were you insulted that I offered my apartment to Bow No.
- 1:18:07Speaker 5: Not at all. I thought I just thought it would
- 1:18:09Speaker 5: be hilarious if he was like at the end of
- 1:18:10Speaker 5: the night he was like, all right, I'm going to
- 1:18:11Speaker 5: go back to francis Is now.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: It would have been smart of him to take it,
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: like your apartment's very nice and taken care of him.
- 1:18:21Speaker 7: We can see where he was sleeping.
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: We thought about it, We thought about going over a
- 1:18:26Speaker 5: couple of times. Oh yeah, we were gonna both.
- 1:18:30Speaker 6: Go you both.
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: Yeah. I was like, I mean his place is probably
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: nicer than this.
- 1:18:39Speaker 6: Yeah, you would. You could have slept on my couch, Harry,
- 1:18:43Speaker 6: and you would have been happier than sleeping in your bed.
- 1:18:46Speaker 5: Probably my bedroom sucks, but the we had a good time.
- 1:18:51Speaker 5: He'd be uh. He stayed after I left. I had
- 1:18:53Speaker 5: to go to Baltimore, and he was like, I'm gonna
- 1:18:55Speaker 5: leave in the morning, and I was like, all right, cool.
- 1:18:57Speaker 5: And then he called me the next morning and he
- 1:18:58Speaker 5: was like, thinking, I'm gonna stay until sun day. Actually
- 1:19:01Speaker 5: I was like, all right, dude, do whatever you want.
- 1:19:04Speaker 5: He just I'm pretty sure he just played counter strike
- 1:19:06Speaker 5: just all day. On my computer.
- 1:19:09Speaker 6: That's awesome. I give him some recommendations on some art
- 1:19:14Speaker 6: to go see. I don't think he.
- 1:19:16Speaker 5: Probably he might have. He was he was doing ship
- 1:19:19Speaker 5: m hmm, but like I would wake up and he'd
- 1:19:21Speaker 5: already be on CS got grinding.
- 1:19:25Speaker 6: Well, then my apartment would not have been ideal because
- 1:19:28Speaker 6: I don't have any of that stuff.
- 1:19:30Speaker 7: No, they can't put your screens too big to play on. Honestly,
- 1:19:35Speaker 7: did you.
- 1:19:35Speaker 5: Guys see my best Did you guys see I switched
- 1:19:38Speaker 5: my monitor to uh vertical?
- 1:19:41Speaker 6: I sent it in the chat BCC. You did? Yeah?
- 1:19:46Speaker 6: I saw that your I saw your setup. It looked
- 1:19:48Speaker 6: pretty good. You look like a stock trader.
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: I know, right. The vertical monitor is so game changer
- 1:19:54Speaker 5: right now and fits so many things, so many room
- 1:19:57Speaker 5: for activities.
- 1:19:58Speaker 7: Oh show you have three games on the vertical model. Yeah,
- 1:20:01Speaker 7: stacked up?
- 1:20:02Speaker 5: Yeah, Red Zone, Patriots and then I think the Colts.
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: It kills the negative space.
- 1:20:08Speaker 5: It absolutely eliminates its four.
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: Could you do you not use your TV for anything anymore? Now?
- 1:20:19Speaker 5: I use it still, but watching Ball. I'll watch Ball
- 1:20:23Speaker 5: on it, and I'll walk like like if it's primetime,
- 1:20:25Speaker 5: I'm probably watching Ball on the TV. But it was
- 1:20:29Speaker 5: just it was a good Sunday.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: And when you sit on your couch, are you laying
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: down across the whole couch when no one's there, or
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: are you sitting upright on your couch laying?
- 1:20:39Speaker 5: For sure, I'm always horizontal.
- 1:20:43Speaker 7: Honestly, Miss watched pretty much laying down right now.
- 1:20:49Speaker 5: My feet are fully kicked up on the desk.
- 1:20:51Speaker 6: My parents don't have furniture in their little bungalow right now,
- 1:20:57Speaker 6: and so every night they watched Mayor of Kingstown. That's
- 1:21:01Speaker 6: the show they're on right now.
- 1:21:03Speaker 7: I think it's the Mayor of Eastown. What's the Mayor
- 1:21:07Speaker 7: of Kingstown?
- 1:21:08Speaker 6: I never heard of Kingstown? Is is this white guy
- 1:21:11Speaker 6: who comes into Jamaica and changes everything?
- 1:21:16Speaker 5: Jump may No, it's Jeremy Renner.
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: The record fictional.
- 1:21:23Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: I've never seen it, but they they're raving about it.
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: But I walked out to the go to the bathroom
- 1:21:28Speaker 6: and then came back in and walked by their window
- 1:21:31Speaker 6: and saw and looked in and they're both sitting in
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: computer chairs watching Mayor of Kingstown in this ende.
- 1:21:37Speaker 5: You know, it's so brutal.
- 1:21:40Speaker 6: It was really sad.
- 1:21:41Speaker 7: Divorced Dad energy for sure.
- 1:21:43Speaker 5: Computer chairs is hilarious beinning around.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: That's Carl van Hatten or wats Millhouse's dad name. Did
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: you either of you ever watch Did you guys watch
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: a lot of The Simpsons growing up?
- 1:21:54Speaker 5: No, I've seen I've seen like the classic episodes. Of course.
- 1:21:59Speaker 7: I think it might have been then his show of
- 1:22:00Speaker 7: all time.
- 1:22:02Speaker 5: That was when I tried, I like tried to get
- 1:22:04Speaker 5: into you can't.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: I'll just start like right in the middle because the
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: first first seas are bad, but sas tell me if
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: I'm wrong about this.
- 1:22:13Speaker 7: Your friend bo is he a goof? Really? He didn't
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: really see he didn't really strike me as much of
- 1:22:18Speaker 7: a goof. Like he was a good, rock solid dude,
- 1:22:20Speaker 7: but maybe a bit serious.
- 1:22:22Speaker 5: I think he's definitely pretty serious, like in like public settings,
- 1:22:26Speaker 5: like he's definitely a goof. But when we when we
- 1:22:28Speaker 5: go into the office, like it's all of a sudden,
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: he's like in military mode, shaking everyone's hand. Hey, nice
- 1:22:35Speaker 5: to meet you.
- 1:22:35Speaker 6: On bow.
- 1:22:38Speaker 7: He gave me a very serious read.
- 1:22:40Speaker 5: It's a lot of like sizing people, Like he's like
- 1:22:43Speaker 5: sizing people up, like trying to figure out if he's
- 1:22:45Speaker 5: gonna have to like spar with them.
- 1:22:48Speaker 6: Dude. I know. I know a young guy who's in
- 1:22:50Speaker 6: the military. He's a close friend of mine, but he's like,
- 1:22:54Speaker 6: he's like twenty eight and I've known him forever and
- 1:22:57Speaker 6: he is a goof. And then when I like introduce
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: him to people and they ask what he does, and
- 1:23:03Speaker 6: he tells them he's a he's a fighter pilot. He
- 1:23:06Speaker 6: flies F eighteen's and he's the fucking man. But like,
- 1:23:10Speaker 6: as soon as people learn that about them, he starts
- 1:23:13Speaker 6: if they're older, He'll finish every sentence with yes, sir, yes, sir, yeah,
- 1:23:18Speaker 6: And I'm like, I'm like, what are you doing that for?
- 1:23:22Speaker 6: Ye and he goes they like it.
- 1:23:26Speaker 5: I'm sure they do, like when you give it.
- 1:23:28Speaker 6: To them and makes them feel patriotic, you know, And
- 1:23:31Speaker 6: I'm like, I kind of I kind of dig that, Yeah,
- 1:23:34Speaker 6: you kind of like that.
- 1:23:36Speaker 7: I throw on, Yes, I throw on sir and Ma'am's
- 1:23:38Speaker 7: pretty liberally.
- 1:23:40Speaker 5: But he's doing it. It's condescending coming from your own.
- 1:23:48Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:23:49Speaker 5: He doesn't mean it. He's saying it in a nasty way.
- 1:24:00Speaker 7: Man the whole time.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: Fuck yeah, there is getting it from a troop that's
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: gonna that'll make you want to fucking ride on a
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: horseback with the American flag.
- 1:24:13Speaker 7: Flapping.
- 1:24:14Speaker 6: Yeah. War bonds? Yeah?
- 1:24:17Speaker 7: Do they still sell war bonds? I'd love to get
- 1:24:19Speaker 7: my hands on some bonds.
- 1:24:21Speaker 6: I don't know. I don't know. I don't think so
- 1:24:23Speaker 6: right now, but I could be dead wrong.
- 1:24:26Speaker 5: I'm trying to make some money move as myself right now.
- 1:24:28Speaker 5: I'm trying to get in on like I want to
- 1:24:29Speaker 5: figure out how we can go and how we can
- 1:24:31Speaker 5: bet against and like in video and all this stuff.
- 1:24:36Speaker 5: It's like the big short. Yeah, I'm trying to pull
- 1:24:37Speaker 5: that off.
- 1:24:38Speaker 6: You can shorten video. I wouldn't advise doing that.
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: What do you know? Are you about to smoke their
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: CEO or something? What's going on here?
- 1:24:45Speaker 5: I got some intel what I'm hearing that. I'm hearing
- 1:24:50Speaker 5: that Metas going with Google chips instead of in video?
- 1:24:54Speaker 7: Is that true?
- 1:24:55Speaker 5: Yeah? That's what I'm hearing.
- 1:24:57Speaker 7: And Meta is going to change the market enough for
- 1:25:00Speaker 7: how how big Meta is everything?
- 1:25:02Speaker 5: I think Metas everything?
- 1:25:05Speaker 7: Are you sure?
- 1:25:05Speaker 5: I think I'm I think I'm back in on Zuck
- 1:25:07Speaker 5: all the way?
- 1:25:08Speaker 7: Are you sure?
- 1:25:09Speaker 5: Yeah? I think Zuck is him?
- 1:25:11Speaker 7: Why because how much they spent on AI No.
- 1:25:15Speaker 5: I saw an interview with Zuck where he was talking
- 1:25:16Speaker 5: about the AI race and like super intelligence, and he
- 1:25:19Speaker 5: was saying that, like he kind of dropped a little
- 1:25:21Speaker 5: flex in where he was like he was like and
- 1:25:23Speaker 5: you know, like we've invested six hundred billion dollars into it.
- 1:25:25Speaker 5: He's like, and to be honestly, if it doesn't work out,
- 1:25:28Speaker 5: we're not at risk of going out of business. We're fine.
- 1:25:31Speaker 5: And I was like, that's pretty bad. He was pretty
- 1:25:32Speaker 5: much insinuating like if this doesn't work out, like Nvidia
- 1:25:36Speaker 5: and like open Ai and all these companies are done,
- 1:25:39Speaker 5: but Meta, you can't take them down.
- 1:25:43Speaker 7: It's just a little side project for them.
- 1:25:45Speaker 5: Yeah, he's just dabbling.
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: I mean some of these AI companies are going to
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: fucking explode and like not exist, and the amount of
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: money they could have, like yeah.
- 1:25:55Speaker 5: Well the total just it's just a circle jerk. They're
- 1:25:58Speaker 5: just they're just investing in buying.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: Because it's an arms race and they don't even know
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: what they're like going for, so they're just hiring. Like
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: the people in charge don't know what the end goal
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: of the arms race is, so they're just trying to
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: buy up the most expensive and intelligent people.
- 1:26:12Speaker 5: Yeah. I didn't realize that it's like a it's I
- 1:26:16Speaker 5: didn't realize, Like I watched some whole video about how
- 1:26:19Speaker 5: super intelligence and how it works and like progresses. I
- 1:26:21Speaker 5: didn't realize that it's like the model of the AI
- 1:26:25Speaker 5: creates the next models, constantly growing and itself until it'll
- 1:26:35Speaker 5: get to a point where it'll just it'll be too
- 1:26:38Speaker 5: powerful and then we're fucked. Nah, And I think that's soon.
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: You think we're gonna be fucked. I don't think we're
- 1:26:45Speaker 7: gonna be fucked.
- 1:26:47Speaker 5: I think it'll either completely die out or it's over. No,
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: like I think it'll I think AI will completely go
- 1:26:53Speaker 5: away and it'll always just be like a search engine,
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: or the world will end for real. I think that's it.
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: As long as they're playing ball on Sundays, dude, A,
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: I still can't figure that out.
- 1:27:07Speaker 6: True.
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: I mean, we'll be lucky if we even have ball
- 1:27:09Speaker 5: on Sundays.
- 1:27:11Speaker 6: You'll probably.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: Yeah, they'll just spit out the score, like the game
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: will start at one and four of the score will
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: just get printed.
- 1:27:19Speaker 5: Yeah, you just type into Sora. I want to see
- 1:27:21Speaker 5: the Pats in the Eagles play, but I want Tom
- 1:27:23Speaker 5: Brady to be the Patriots quarterback. This game, Okay, perfect.
- 1:27:28Speaker 7: That will exist, That definitely will exist for sure, and
- 1:27:34Speaker 7: they'll rig the fuck out of that.
- 1:27:36Speaker 5: It's all a bunch of ball.
- 1:27:38Speaker 7: I'm not fucking scared. Are you scared?
- 1:27:40Speaker 5: I'm not scared because I don't really use it. But
- 1:27:42Speaker 5: like some people, there's people that are, like, there's people
- 1:27:45Speaker 5: that are already fully AI dependent, like everything they do.
- 1:27:49Speaker 5: I'm not going to name names. One of my friends
- 1:27:51Speaker 5: who visited me here and slept on my couch last week,
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: he is fully AI dependent?
- 1:27:57Speaker 7: What do you mean? What ways?
- 1:27:58Speaker 5: Calling me from the airport and like he's he wanted
- 1:28:01Speaker 5: to take the train to my apartment from the airport
- 1:28:03Speaker 5: because he didn't want to spend all the money on
- 1:28:04Speaker 5: an uber And he's reading me off all these like
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: options and I'm like, I'm like, he's like, well, what
- 1:28:09Speaker 5: if I took the what if I uber to it?
- 1:28:10Speaker 5: And I'm like, where are you getting this information? He's
- 1:28:12Speaker 5: like chat GPT and I was like, why aren't you
- 1:28:15Speaker 5: just fucking looking it up on maps? He'll tell you
- 1:28:19Speaker 5: exactly how to get here, step by step, with like
- 1:28:23Speaker 5: one hundred options. And he's reading a description on chat
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: GBT about how to get to my apartment.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: It is funny that chat GPT for like being the
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: one is just like text on a white screen.
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: Oh my god, and it's just dumb as rocks.
- 1:28:41Speaker 7: Yeah, it has no idea. Brain Dead couldn't tell me
- 1:28:44Speaker 7: who was going to win the forty nine ers game.
- 1:28:47Speaker 6: Bron Did you see that?
- 1:28:48Speaker 5: Uh?
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: Is my mic off?
- 1:28:50Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:28:50Speaker 6: You're good, You're good, You're good. It's working. Yeah, you're
- 1:28:53Speaker 6: showing all right. I saw an amazing post about a
- 1:28:57Speaker 6: hack of how to sort of surpass or circumvent the
- 1:29:03Speaker 6: uber at JFK where you have to get on the
- 1:29:06Speaker 6: air train.
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: To guess where they are.
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: I'd be included in this conversation as well.
- 1:29:10Speaker 7: If you die to me?
- 1:29:12Speaker 6: Yeah should we should? We just talk about this after
- 1:29:15Speaker 6: the episode.
- 1:29:17Speaker 7: Grab a Canapringles sun and enjoy yourself.
- 1:29:20Speaker 5: I also fly into JFK on it you take a
- 1:29:22Speaker 5: p and would like to know this cheat code?
- 1:29:25Speaker 6: Harry, go sweep up for a bit now is uh?
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: Some guy posted a thing about how if you fly
- 1:29:32Speaker 6: it specifically into Terminal five, which is a terminal that
- 1:29:35Speaker 6: is the delta terminal at JFK.
- 1:29:38Speaker 5: The terminal from Hell.
- 1:29:41Speaker 6: I don't think it's a bad terminal that's where the
- 1:29:43Speaker 6: Delta one lounge is, which is the sickest thing ever.
- 1:29:48Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's a it's a bad terminal when you
- 1:29:50Speaker 5: gotta fucking throw on the running shoes to get to
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: your date.
- 1:29:53Speaker 6: Well, you got to start getting to the airport earlier. Dude.
- 1:29:56Speaker 6: I don't know why you like to play fucking Russian
- 1:29:58Speaker 6: roulette with the planes.
- 1:30:00Speaker 5: Because it feels so good when it works.
- 1:30:02Speaker 6: No, it doesn't your wedding. It's soaked and you don't
- 1:30:05Speaker 6: like to exercise. No, we've been through this. You and
- 1:30:09Speaker 6: I did this together at LaGuardia, do you recall.
- 1:30:12Speaker 5: Yeah, that'll never happen again.
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: And at least LaGuardia is central with three vessels off
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: of it, or like four vessels off of it. JFK
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: is just a fucking stripe. Yeah, Like you got to
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: go to the end of JFK. You got to go
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: to the end of B if you want to get
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: to that last flight.
- 1:30:31Speaker 6: Oh my god, it can be so far.
- 1:30:33Speaker 7: So what was a hack? Tell me that what the
- 1:30:34Speaker 7: hack was? Oh?
- 1:30:35Speaker 6: Yeah, So the hack is if you land at terminal
- 1:30:38Speaker 6: five and you don't want to get on the air
- 1:30:40Speaker 6: train to get to the place where you have to
- 1:30:41Speaker 6: take the ubers. You go into the TWA Hotel, which
- 1:30:45Speaker 6: is connected to the terminal, and you call an uber
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: to the hotel and it comes in three minutes, and
- 1:30:52Speaker 6: then you get it in an uber right there.
- 1:30:54Speaker 7: I like that long.
- 1:30:57Speaker 5: That's sneaky. We might have to cut that out.
- 1:31:00Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:31:00Speaker 7: Excuse me, sir, where's the t w A Hotel? I'm
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: about a tourist and.
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: They take you right there and you're, oh, my god,
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: that's fucking brilliant.
- 1:31:10Speaker 6: My parents stayed at that hotel and they said it
- 1:31:12Speaker 6: was really cool. It's sort of in the style of
- 1:31:16Speaker 6: like the nineteen fifties. It's very yeah and funky inside.
- 1:31:21Speaker 5: Yeah, I've heard of a I've heard that it's like sick.
- 1:31:24Speaker 6: Like all of the rooms. All the rooms are smoking rooms.
- 1:31:29Speaker 7: Is that true. That's not true.
- 1:31:30Speaker 6: No, it's not. But there's a lamp and the beds rotate.
- 1:31:35Speaker 7: It seems very sixties, very red too.
- 1:31:38Speaker 5: All the bed frames are like planes.
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: I have another I have another hack for Terminal five.
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: Uh to beat the lines and uh yeah, that's actually
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: a way better one. But it's when you're walking out
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: and then a guy in a leather jack comes up
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: to you and he's like TEXI and you fuck and
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: you ride with him, fuck that, and you take your
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: life into your hands and he'll get you there in
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: one third of the time.
- 1:32:07Speaker 5: Yeah, and then it'll he'll be like he'll look you in,
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: he'll look at you and tell you it's five hundred dollars, but.
- 1:32:12Speaker 7: You determine the price beforehand.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: I'm showing what it is on Uber and you're like,
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: it's sixty five dollars on Uber. I'll give you sixty
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: five dollars to take to take sixty five.
- 1:32:22Speaker 5: Oh, because see you guys are going back to Brooklyn. Yeah,
- 1:32:25Speaker 5: my prices are like one fifty to get that from.
- 1:32:28Speaker 6: K It's the same now here.
- 1:32:30Speaker 7: Yeah, it's probably.
- 1:32:31Speaker 6: Yeah, he's over one hundred bucks. It's outrageous. I don't
- 1:32:35Speaker 6: I would say Uber at JFK.
- 1:32:36Speaker 5: Ever, I was saying to my friends, I was like,
- 1:32:38Speaker 5: it's hard to even like tell people that like New York. Oh,
- 1:32:41Speaker 5: like New York's not as expensive as everyone says, because
- 1:32:44Speaker 5: the second they get here, they got to eat the
- 1:32:46Speaker 5: price of the flight that it cost them to get here,
- 1:32:48Speaker 5: just to get to my apartment.
- 1:32:49Speaker 7: Yeah, it's like bo is taking public transit.
- 1:32:52Speaker 5: Yeah, he took the bus from LaGuardia's.
- 1:32:56Speaker 7: Probably not that bad unless you have a ton of bags.
- 1:32:59Speaker 5: No, it's like a bus to the train and the
- 1:33:01Speaker 5: whole thing. I think he also only had like a backpack.
- 1:33:03Speaker 5: So but you really can't, like there's you can't take
- 1:33:06Speaker 5: public trans Yeah, like if you have like checked luggage,
- 1:33:10Speaker 5: you're fucked.
- 1:33:13Speaker 7: It's a rich man's game, it is. I heard.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: What you got to do is you fly to the
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: TSA hotel instead of New York and the.
- 1:33:22Speaker 7: Best, the cheapest way I.
- 1:33:24Speaker 5: Say about planes, But have you guys do this?
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: Please?
- 1:33:28Speaker 7: Don't make it the last thing.
- 1:33:30Speaker 5: Have you guys heard about this? I I got hit
- 1:33:32Speaker 5: up a bunch after we recorded the episode where I
- 1:33:35Speaker 5: talked about my problem with Delta and uh, and I
- 1:33:38Speaker 5: talked about switching over to United. Did you guys know
- 1:33:41Speaker 5: United does a status match Delta? But I know, but
- 1:33:47Speaker 5: I'm switching away from Delta.
- 1:33:49Speaker 6: Yeah, they'll only do it for that year though.
- 1:33:52Speaker 5: Yeah, but I mean, well you only have it for a.
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: Year, sure, so you have your chance to earn the
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: status on if you go to United?
- 1:34:01Speaker 7: And what you have to leave Delta completely? Do you
- 1:34:03Speaker 7: have to like you got you.
- 1:34:05Speaker 5: Close your Delta account switch over to United, close the account.
- 1:34:09Speaker 5: I mean, I'm sure you could make another one. But
- 1:34:12Speaker 5: why do they want to make sure they get They
- 1:34:13Speaker 5: want to make sure they're getting your hundred percent.
- 1:34:16Speaker 6: They trying to take you as a client.
- 1:34:18Speaker 5: Ye. Interesting, and I think I'm doing it. I think
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: I'm I got a meeting. I got a call after
- 1:34:23Speaker 5: this with some guys over at United. We're gonna talk logistics.
- 1:34:25Speaker 7: Fly a different flight with United.
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: Just because you got honey potted, they probably knew you
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: were on the fence, and so they put that fucking
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: seven seven seven in front of you, so you were
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: laying down for the hour and a half it took
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: to go from Chicago to New York.
- 1:34:37Speaker 6: We'll see.
- 1:34:38Speaker 5: All I know is that right now, different flights just
- 1:34:41Speaker 5: to see. I will, I will before you Delta. I'm
- 1:34:45Speaker 5: flying Delta tomorrow, going back to Massachusetts.
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: But because dude, you were telling me that the TSA
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: line is chalked at fucking LaGuardia and that you don't
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: even you're giving up your TSA status. I went through
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: the TSA There wasn't a single human being there.
- 1:35:03Speaker 7: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: So that's why you can't be giving it up just
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: because you had one bad experience.
- 1:35:07Speaker 5: I'm over it, and I've seen enough. I've heard enough.
- 1:35:11Speaker 5: Delta is over.
- 1:35:14Speaker 7: You will not be able to come back, dude.
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: They're just going to make over fifty percent of their
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: profit on premium seats this year. I think it's fifty
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: three percent of their profit on premium seats.
- 1:35:24Speaker 7: It's all first class. The whole scam plan is first class.
- 1:35:27Speaker 5: No, it's a scam. They're stealing the money right out
- 1:35:31Speaker 5: of your wallet and you don't even know.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: Don't tell me I'm wrong for making this my personality, dude.
- 1:35:35Speaker 7: Don't make think.
- 1:35:36Speaker 5: This United has a better fleet. They have a much
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: better fleet, and they don't though they have a way
- 1:35:44Speaker 5: better fleet. That's not they have better flights. Oh my god.
- 1:35:48Speaker 5: And have you guys been to Terminal C or Terminal B.
- 1:35:51Speaker 7: I'm never going to be there. You'll never see me there.
- 1:35:54Speaker 5: It's like it's like the Golden Gates.
- 1:35:58Speaker 7: Yeah, New York is terrible, New Yark is trash.
- 1:36:02Speaker 5: Oh you haven't been to the new terminal.
- 1:36:04Speaker 6: And I was just there. I was just there.
- 1:36:06Speaker 5: Last every gate is a three minute walk away.
- 1:36:09Speaker 6: Harry, let me tell you something. Let me tell you
- 1:36:11Speaker 6: what happened to me. I had an early flight. I
- 1:36:13Speaker 6: had an eight am flight out of Newark last week. Okay, okay,
- 1:36:17Speaker 6: I get there. I haven't had my coffee because I
- 1:36:20Speaker 6: figure i'll have it. It'll be easy to get a
- 1:36:22Speaker 6: cup of coffee at the airport, right, It's probably the
- 1:36:24Speaker 6: easiest thing you could get at the airport. I go
- 1:36:28Speaker 6: into that central flight food emporium that they've got there,
- 1:36:33Speaker 6: that triangle shaped central food emporium. Do you know what
- 1:36:37Speaker 6: I'm talking about? Of course, yeah, Okay, there is one
- 1:36:40Speaker 6: cafeteria coffee shop. I go over and I say, Hi,
- 1:36:45Speaker 6: I'd like a latte and they said, oh, we we
- 1:36:48Speaker 6: can't make espresso drinks. I said, but you've got an
- 1:36:53Speaker 6: espresso machine. She said it's not working.
- 1:36:56Speaker 7: I said, okay, she said, I don't know how.
- 1:36:58Speaker 6: What can you make? She said, We've got dripped coffee?
- 1:37:01Speaker 6: And I was like, is this a prison? Is this
- 1:37:05Speaker 6: a is this like a fucking school PTA meeting?
- 1:37:09Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:37:11Speaker 5: At United, we don't like to spend a lot of
- 1:37:13Speaker 5: the money on like the gizmos and the gadgets in
- 1:37:16Speaker 5: the terminal. We want to spend the money on the fleet,
- 1:37:19Speaker 5: the actual fleet itself. Well, you gotta have it all
- 1:37:22Speaker 5: we're trying to prioritize luxury in the sky rather than
- 1:37:26Speaker 5: luxury in the waiting area.
- 1:37:27Speaker 7: Brother, can you have both?
- 1:37:28Speaker 6: Dude?
- 1:37:28Speaker 7: Why why not both?
- 1:37:30Speaker 5: Delta surely doesn't have both. They don't even have one.
- 1:37:33Speaker 7: You had one bad experience where you were nasty too.
- 1:37:36Speaker 5: You go to the soup kitchen at LaGuardia. That's always
- 1:37:39Speaker 5: a good time, truly. I mean it's like you're spending
- 1:37:42Speaker 5: how much money does it cost to get.
- 1:37:43Speaker 7: To diamond twenty eight thousand dollars?
- 1:37:46Speaker 5: Twenty eight thousand dollars. Well, that's there to get like
- 1:37:50Speaker 5: ice cooled.
- 1:37:52Speaker 7: There's other ways. There's other ways to get there.
- 1:37:55Speaker 5: It's over. I'm telling you guys it.
- 1:37:57Speaker 6: Go use one of your diamond sort of choice medallion things.
- 1:38:01Speaker 6: You get up five thousand MQD, but.
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: You can get m QD bonuses as the program from
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: within it reach pyramids.
- 1:38:11Speaker 6: Not reaching. You either know how to do it or
- 1:38:13Speaker 6: you don't, and you don't know how to do it.
- 1:38:16Speaker 6: In fact, Harry, I.
- 1:38:17Speaker 5: Know you're trying to catch anything.
- 1:38:19Speaker 6: You're not going to reach like Pole North Pole, explore
- 1:38:22Speaker 6: status on fucking United next year either whatever the fuck
- 1:38:26Speaker 6: that dumb.
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: Ass right, it's gonna be the same incentive structure to
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: get up to North Pole much.
- 1:38:32Speaker 5: It's a much more fair we've been I've talked to
- 1:38:35Speaker 5: a couple of reps, the United guys. I can't really,
- 1:38:39Speaker 5: I don't really want to be sharing this information. Didn't
- 1:38:41Speaker 5: you wanted to come over with you playing for the competitor?
- 1:38:43Speaker 7: Yeah, because it's a bad package.
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: You don't You're not equipped to say it out loud when.
- 1:38:48Speaker 5: In the future, in the future on this podcast, when
- 1:38:51Speaker 5: we're talking airlines, treat Delta the way you would treat
- 1:38:54Speaker 5: other competiting brands. I don't even want their name coming up.
- 1:38:58Speaker 7: I'm not going to bring it up like another competiting brand.
- 1:39:01Speaker 5: Say that.
- 1:39:03Speaker 6: Competing competing airlines? Do you know what that? Do you
- 1:39:08Speaker 6: even know what the names of the tears United are.
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: Now?
- 1:39:15Speaker 5: But it's like I think it's like Rocks. It's like
- 1:39:19Speaker 5: like I don't know. I think like the highest is
- 1:39:22Speaker 5: obsidian is.
- 1:39:24Speaker 6: Imagine if I have higher status on United than herr
- 1:39:27Speaker 6: he does this.
- 1:39:28Speaker 5: Year, Well, you definitely do. I don't fly United.
- 1:39:31Speaker 6: What do you mean?
- 1:39:32Speaker 5: I've only flown it like a couple of times.
- 1:39:35Speaker 6: Mileage plus where am I at? Uh? I have I
- 1:39:42Speaker 6: have Premiere silver. That's all I've got.
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: Yeah, Premiere silver has got to be you walk in
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: the door with that right. That's off name recognition alone.
- 1:39:52Speaker 6: You gotta kind of do a little bit of work to.
- 1:39:54Speaker 7: How many miles do you have over there?
- 1:39:55Speaker 11: Brother?
- 1:39:56Speaker 5: On United? Yeah, I don't think I have any. I know,
- 1:40:02Speaker 5: let's see member.
- 1:40:07Speaker 6: Eighty six, eighty six.
- 1:40:12Speaker 7: Got sixteen K four thousand. I'm loyal as hell.
- 1:40:18Speaker 5: Explore both ancient and modern architecture. All I've never used too.
- 1:40:21Speaker 5: I've never used this single thing to get status. I've
- 1:40:25Speaker 5: never used a United mile ever. Does does Delta have
- 1:40:29Speaker 5: direct flights to Tokyo?
- 1:40:31Speaker 7: Yes?
- 1:40:31Speaker 6: Yes, actually yes they do. They do through Detroit.
- 1:40:36Speaker 12: Sure that's through Detroit. That's not troth Minnesota, forty five
- 1:40:43Speaker 12: minutes away. Where where does you're telling me? United has
- 1:40:46Speaker 12: a direct flight to Tokyo from Newark.
- 1:40:49Speaker 5: From every from everywhere? No way, Logan, New York, Philly, Baltimore.
- 1:40:57Speaker 5: I almost took a flight from Baltimore to Tokyo this weekend.
- 1:41:01Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: We have the United apps open. We all have the
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: United app open right now. I mean I could corroborate,
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: I could disprove this right now.
- 1:41:09Speaker 5: The longest flight that Delta has is from fucking.
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: I know this answer, bro, it's it's from Atlanta to Joeannsburg.
- 1:41:18Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure it's from New York to fucking Atlanta.
- 1:41:22Speaker 5: That's the longest direct flight Delta has.
- 1:41:24Speaker 6: The tears are silver gold platinum and Premiere one.
- 1:41:28Speaker 5: K, silver, gold, platinum and Premiere Premiere one.
- 1:41:35Speaker 6: You're all Premiere silver, Premier gold, Premiere platinum, and Premiere one.
- 1:41:38Speaker 5: And how much better does Premiere one K sound than diamond?
- 1:41:45Speaker 7: You can't?
- 1:41:47Speaker 6: Why would it go? Why would it go? Silver, gold, platinum,
- 1:41:51Speaker 6: one thousand?
- 1:41:52Speaker 5: That's just how we do.
- 1:41:54Speaker 6: That doesn't make any fucking sense at all. Oh sorry,
- 1:41:57Speaker 6: I'm Premiere. That's like telling me someone that the judo
- 1:42:01Speaker 6: belts go from white, blue black lobster claw.
- 1:42:07Speaker 5: I think the problem here is is that different metric?
- 1:42:11Speaker 6: What what? What measurement? What does that even mean? One k?
- 1:42:14Speaker 6: One k?
- 1:42:14Speaker 5: What?
- 1:42:16Speaker 7: Just one k sounds like? What's know?
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: Their platinum sounds like a wide receiver's instagram?
- 1:42:24Speaker 7: What is it again? Say what it is?
- 1:42:26Speaker 5: One kye?
- 1:42:27Speaker 7: That definitely sounds like a J Brown's Instagram.
- 1:42:30Speaker 6: There's gamer handle.
- 1:42:32Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I just think I think you guys are
- 1:42:35Speaker 5: holding on to the hope that you're one day going
- 1:42:37Speaker 5: to be three sixty. And I don't think it's going
- 1:42:39Speaker 5: to happen.
- 1:42:39Speaker 7: Francis. I hate to break it to you.
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: They do not have direct flights, or they do have
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: it on on United they have.
- 1:42:46Speaker 7: That's a reason too.
- 1:42:47Speaker 5: Uh, it's truly if it's fascinating what we're doing over
- 1:42:50Speaker 5: at United right.
- 1:42:50Speaker 6: Now, that's amazing. That is amazing.
- 1:42:53Speaker 7: Business Class five hundred.
- 1:42:56Speaker 6: I will say, I flew home from Johannesburg to Newark
- 1:43:01Speaker 6: on United in there whatever Polaris Sweet or their seats
- 1:43:06Speaker 6: or whatever, and it was spectacular. It was It was
- 1:43:09Speaker 6: a brand new plane. Like I had to I had
- 1:43:13Speaker 6: to pull the plastic off the screen in.
- 1:43:15Speaker 5: Front exactly exactly. That's what I'm telling you. At United
- 1:43:18Speaker 5: we're getting they're getting a better fleet. But first Classic United,
- 1:43:23Speaker 5: you're it's like you're in your own like room Delta.
- 1:43:28Speaker 5: It's like the seat is three inches bigger than coach.
- 1:43:32Speaker 7: That can't be true.
- 1:43:33Speaker 5: That walk around they're walking around with fucking you want
- 1:43:36Speaker 5: an orange juice before we take off?
- 1:43:38Speaker 11: No?
- 1:43:40Speaker 5: Why the fuck would I want that?
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: You want some sugar? You aren't your anxiety spiked?
- 1:43:50Speaker 11: Uh?
- 1:43:52Speaker 5: That's what it bounds, is typing in the chat saying
- 1:44:03Speaker 5: that he has to go.
- 1:44:04Speaker 6: Don't put it on me. You said I have to go.
- 1:44:08Speaker 5: I'm fully I mean we can end it. We've been
- 1:44:10Speaker 5: going for an hour forty. Yeah, we're good, We're good
- 1:44:12Speaker 5: to go. But hilarious that you're sending it in the chat.
- 1:44:16Speaker 6: My dad just came out and was like, yeah, yeah,
- 1:44:20Speaker 6: I get it.
- 1:44:21Speaker 5: How much time? Yeah, no, that makes sense. Our forties
- 1:44:24Speaker 5: a long time. We have our forties, like they're starting
- 1:44:27Speaker 5: to wonder what's going on.
- 1:44:28Speaker 7: Yeah, Dave's here at gunpoint.
- 1:44:30Speaker 6: Again, not again, I've ruined the family plans for the day.
- 1:44:35Speaker 6: Is put it that way?
- 1:44:36Speaker 7: Yeah, it's tough out there.
- 1:44:38Speaker 1: You probably have more sunlight than we do up up
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: here in the Great Northeast.
- 1:44:42Speaker 5: Yeah, it's about two thirty, so it should be getting
- 1:44:44Speaker 5: dark any minute.
- 1:44:50Speaker 6: All right, Happy Thanksgiving boys, Thanksgiving everybody. Later.
- 1:45:08Speaker 11: No one was a still still under ground. So I

- 1:45:25Speaker 8: To you game rise.
- 1:45:31Speaker 11: I was only falling one way. I was only falling
- 1:45:38Speaker 11: one way. Change were drifted? Fool for?
- 1:45:50Speaker 8: Was that.
