- 0:43SPEAKER_01: You guys are like ride or die.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Uh, nobody could ask for like a better crew than you beautiful people on Instagram, on TikTok, on YouTube.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: Thank you for watching, for listening, for liking, for sharing, for engaging.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: The camera.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: Okay, yes.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: But no, no, seriously, I didn't want to interrupt you, but it's exciting.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but that's why I was shaking the table.
- 1:03SPEAKER_02: People kept asking when we're gonna come back.
- 1:05SPEAKER_02: I had co-workers.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: I didn't even realize baby.
- 1:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I didn't realize the amount of coworkers that I had who were watching.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: They kept asking me, when are you coming back?
- 1:14SPEAKER_02: I know it is.
- 1:14SPEAKER_02: It's kind of scary.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: It is.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: So I had this cool! Yeah, I had this one co-worker.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: His name is Haitam because he watches, so it's okay.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna drop his name.
- 1:20SPEAKER_02: You know you're talking, and I look at the sun, I realize I'm cross-eyed.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: What?
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: What?
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: You know when you have these intrinsic thoughts that come out?
- 1:30SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, I'm not literally, literally, I freaking with you.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: I can't.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm in the middle of my thoughts.
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: And I'm looking, I'm trying to fix this, and then I'm like, I'm actually cross-eyed on Tim Right.
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: Shut up.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: Are the people gonna know?
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: You're not cross-eyed, and I have triangle hair.
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: Triangle hair?
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: Back to Heathum.
- 1:50SPEAKER_02: Heightham, Heightham.
- 1:50SPEAKER_02: So Heytham would come up to me and be like, why aren't you guys back?
- 1:54SPEAKER_02: When are you gonna come back?
- 1:54SPEAKER_02: And I explained to Heathum, like Heathum, I don't feel like the time is right.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: You know, there's a genocide happening, and I don't feel right.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: And in coming on, I just I mean, honestly, guys, look, the last year has been really rough.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm just really glad that we're it's things are looking up.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: I don't want to say like we're over the hump because it's not like we're really over the we're like freaking, we're so under the hump it's not even funny.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but um I am just really happy that there is a ceasefire in place, even though they keep breaking it, but there's something, there is some glimmer.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: Um I'm I'm staying very, very hopeful.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: But yeah, that just made last year really hard.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: And this space for us is supposed to be fun.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Yes, supposed to be apolitical, it's supposed to be like just a place you come like hang and chill.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: And we didn't want to change that.
- 2:43SPEAKER_02: No, and he was he was saying, but you know, we did a few episodes though.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: We did a few episodes with Nurse Lana, and like we talked about like shout out to like all the people out there who were like advocating and using their platform for this.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: Like I have so much respect for it.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: We did that as well.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: You know, we would post like videos on Instagram and TikTok, but the point is like we couldn't bring ourselves to talk about something that's not about Palestine, and at the same time, our podcast wasn't about it's not supposed to be political, it's supposed to be like a fun place, a chill space, yeah, a chill space.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: And so I would tell them like I just can't bring myself to do that.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: And you know, my like my family, and as most Palestinian families, whether they're in Palestine or outside of Palestine, we've all been affected.
- 3:22SPEAKER_02: Um I had my niece was just released out of prison, Israeli prison, just last week before the ceasefire.
- 3:28SPEAKER_02: She's a human rights lawyer, and she was arrested on a checkpoint.
- 3:32SPEAKER_02: There's no charges, they kept her under administrative detention, they would renew it every three or four months.
- 3:37SPEAKER_02: For over a year, we don't know anything about her.
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: The lawyer, every once in a while, would update us, but her family was not allowed, her mom was allowed to see her, her dad was no one was allowed to see her.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: And she was just released.
- 3:48SPEAKER_02: And then also my nephew was shot in the West Bank.
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:52SPEAKER_02: Going home from work.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: So it's not just, you know, so yeah, stuff like this kind of that puts you in the best space to do what we're doing right now.
- 3:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's just it wasn't, I didn't feel like it was the right time.
- 4:02SPEAKER_02: Inshallah, inshallah, this year is better for the people of Palestine, the people of Gaza.
- 4:07SPEAKER_02: I really hope so.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: And for all of us, um, I'm not hopeful about the ceasefire, but I I pray to God that it's a good thing.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm I'm hopeful because I just want people to get I want aid to come in.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: I want people to get food.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: I want people to, I want people to um to go back to their it's not they're going back to their homes because some of the homes are not like standing, but you know, it's when you're displaced, and I don't know that feeling, and maybe a lot of you watching don't know that feeling, but I don't I don't know what it must feel like to like not be able to go home.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: I'm happy that they at least get to go back and even the even just some semblance of that, you know?
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: And I think the aid the aid coming in is a big help.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: I hope the ceasefire lasts, but I saw a woman I saw I saw a video this morning.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: Sorry to cut your off.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: A woman's from Beit Hanoun.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Beit Hanoun is in North Gaza, and she um she was going back.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: She, you know, she's displaced to the south, and she was going back to Beit Hanoun to see if her house was still there and her house was still standing, and you could like feel her joy that she just kept saying Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, which means thank God, thank god, thank God that the house is still standing.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: I mean, the destruction around it is insane, but the fact that her house is still standing, you could feel the just relief from her voice.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: As soon as she was able to like kind of unlock the outside gate, there was like it was like wired or something like that.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: And she got in and she did sujood, which is like the prostration in in in prayer in Islam, to just thank God like that house is still here.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: So I'm just happy that some people get to do that.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: I'm happy that some people get to go back and look for finally put their loved ones who were like buried under the rubble, give them a proper burial because that is huge.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: I think the number is 14,000 that are missing under the rubble.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: So far, I don't know.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but I can't imagine like but you're to at least try and go back and and I saw a video this morning, same thing, a man who like you know basically identified the decomposing bodies of his like family members.
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: It's well look in in in in Judaism, in Islam, in Christianity, the most powerful thing you can do for a person when they die is to bury them as quickly as possible.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: So I cannot imagine how these people are feeling.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: So I have a glimmer of hope because there are kind of all these open-ended things that people are like getting to do.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: And like and I don't know.
- 6:29SPEAKER_02: I think my my point is we can have all the hope.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: We can have good Palestinians can have a good intention.
- 6:34SPEAKER_02: So the problem is the Israelis have proven themselves time and time again that they're not abiding by any laws.
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: I mean, nothing.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: I mean, they're straight-up war criminals.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, they decide for sure when to do something and when not to do something.
- 6:45SPEAKER_02: So inshallah, hopefully.
- 6:46SPEAKER_02: Hopefully it's a better year for all of us.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: I hope so.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: And honestly, like I said, I know that it may sound like really dumb, like some of the things that I'm saying, but I just No, they're not dumb.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: It's just like very basic human rights.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: You know, like when someone dies, you bury them.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: That that you have access to food and clean water, uh just basic things.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: And the fact that there's it gives me hope or a glimmer of hope that these basic things are going to be possibly available at a like a reg like a just at a the availability will possibly be there on a regular basis.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: So inshallah.
- 7:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:20SPEAKER_02: So that's why we were we've been gone.
- 7:22SPEAKER_02: But what have you been doing while we've been gone?
- 7:25SPEAKER_02: What are you up to?
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: Worrying about my triangle hair.
- 7:29SPEAKER_02: Your triangle here.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: No, come on, you're over, you're well, it's beautiful.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: No, it's so like the last year I've been like coloring my hair and coloring it.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: And honestly, this is not my stylist's fault.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: This is a fault of my own.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: I'm a brown person.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to have blonde hair, it's terrible.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: She's been doing my hair for 20 plus years.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: Shout out Lauren at Glow Atelier.
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: If you're in the DC Metro and you're looking for a hair stylist, amazing.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: Again, glow atelier.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Anyways, I've been like dyeing my hair, cutting my hair, doing all kinds of crap to my hair.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: And so now I have this like shrunken curl situation.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: Like you're it's just like undefined, and it's just like not living its best life.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: So, you know, that's what I've been working on.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: Just kidding, not that.
- 8:07SPEAKER_02: That's what you've been doing.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: That the the last episode we had was last A last April.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: I celebrated AIDS.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, dude.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: Honestly, no, I've just been surviving, okay?
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: I've been surviving.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: Is that like what you guys want to uh I've just been spending time with my family, spending time with friends, like just going through the motions of life.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 8:28SPEAKER_02: Well, I I was very busy with work.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:31SPEAKER_02: It was election season.
- 8:32SPEAKER_02: I was also busy with work, but like whatever.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: No, but like I was traveling.
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: I I was just covering I was not traveling.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and um every four years I say, I don't want to do this anymore.
- 8:41SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna do this, I'm not gonna be here for the next election, and then every four years I'm here.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: You're like back again.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: Yes, who's back?
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: Um, but no, it's yeah, no, 20 2024 was uh it's a very like awkward year.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: It was a very weird and I feel like I've been saying that since 2020.
- 8:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, ever since the pandemic.
- 8:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: Anyways, whatever.
- 8:59SPEAKER_02: So now that this year, the 2024 is gone.
- 9:02SPEAKER_02: Thanks God.
- 9:03SPEAKER_02: There are some things that I want to stay in 2024.
- 9:07SPEAKER_02: Like it could be a thing, it could be a person, it could be a trend, it could be anything.
- 9:11SPEAKER_02: And do you have anything?
- 9:13SPEAKER_02: I mean, we we both agree on the first one.
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: We we Oh my god, yes, absolutely.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: Genocide.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: Leave that in 2024, even though it like carried into 2025, but like please, just no more genocide.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: And not just in Palestine, you know, there's you know, the Congo, you have Sudan, you have all these places.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: Can we just like I mean on just honestly, like I will I will go like again, just the the killing of innocent people.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: December was a huge month for me seeing all of the inside of the Assad regime's prisons.
- 9:48SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: How can I forget about Syria?
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: That just I'm not even gonna sit here and pretend like I know everything and that I I sympathize because I cannot imagine living under 54 freaking years of this type of oppression.
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: And I will say, like, I'm not I I try really hard to like educate myself.
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: I was not the most educated on that.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: I knew a little bit about you know life in Syria, but if everything was like not life in Syria, but what's going on in Syria, but for a little while and only post, you know, 2011.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, that was just I was just happy for them.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: I'm happy just happy they they got, you know, these all these prisoners, man, who've been in there for like decades and decades and I know.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: So, like, shout out to the Syrian people.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: Like, guys, this is a big, big, big, big time for you.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: I hope every single person living in that country gets the deliverance that they've been praying for.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: Insha'Allah.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: Every single person.
- 10:43SPEAKER_02: So we're gonna we're we're hoping that that stuff can stay in 2024, like the death, the destruction, genocides anywhere in the world.
- 10:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, hopefully, hopefully, inshallah, this year is better for that.
- 10:53SPEAKER_02: Inshallah.
- 10:53SPEAKER_02: We keep saying, we keep hoping, we keep praying for a buddy.
- 10:55SPEAKER_02: Okay, so on a less serious note, I need to know exactly.
- 11:01SPEAKER_02: The first one was this.
- 11:02SPEAKER_02: We agreed.
- 11:03SPEAKER_02: My second on the list is Dubai chocolate.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: Dubai chocolate needs to stay in 2020.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: No, it's fine.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: I'm done.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: Like I'm done seeing stuff about it.
- 11:10SPEAKER_02: Oh, I know.
- 11:11SPEAKER_02: I don't care.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: I like it a lot, actually.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: I think it's delicious.
- 11:15SPEAKER_02: So I'm not saying it's a delicious, but like the channel.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: And the woman, the I think it's I think it's the woman who owned it.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: Fix is the name of the company.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: Fix posted a uh the woman who's gonna look like an asshole.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: Hi, as usual.
- 11:26SPEAKER_02: I know people out there agree with me.
- 11:28SPEAKER_02: I know they agree.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: Anyways, whatever, it's fine.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: But you the woman who posted it, who owns it, posted a TikTok this morning basically saying how like 2024 changed her life.
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I'm happy for you.
- 11:36SPEAKER_02: You said Mabruk, I'm happy for her.
- 11:38SPEAKER_02: I'm not saying anything.
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: I'm just saying, I'm can I not like see it everywhere?
- 11:42SPEAKER_02: No, I don't care.
- 11:42SPEAKER_02: Okay, the way you sit in Zalana.
- 11:44SPEAKER_02: I just don't want to see it.
- 11:45SPEAKER_02: Everybody's talking about it.
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: Dude, stop.
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: You're making me look like I'm crazy.
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: I'm not people are doing guys comment.
- 11:51SPEAKER_02: It's a child.
- 11:51SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you agree with me or not.
- 11:52SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: Anyways, I didn't have the actual chocolate bar from Fix because that doesn't trip to the United States.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: Okay, but I did get a lies.
- 12:00SPEAKER_01: No, I had a piece of fix because my sister-in-law gave me a piece of that.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: But there is a local uh baker, Palestinian American.
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: Her handle is Who Bakes She.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: We'll put it in the info box, and she's the one who made me the Dubai chocolate bar.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: Okay, she doesn't know what's dark chocolate, milk chocolate.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she's awesome.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: So okay, what's yours?
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: Do you have any?
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: Conspiracy theories.
- 12:19SPEAKER_02: Conspiracy theories.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: I wish those were just you know, honestly, like I know that's never gonna be like left behind, but like I just want people to make like fact-based decisions.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: Like, stop being emotional about stuff, stop being like, oh, I'm gonna do this because if I do this, then like Jesus Christ is gonna come.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: No, God, no, no.
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: And I I get it, that's not just a conspiracy theory that like some people actually believe that from a religious perspective, and I don't want to like disrespect anybody, but you cannot kill people and say it's because we're killing people because you know we want to use this to come.
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: So I wish stuff like that would just like stay back behind, like in the rear view.
- 12:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:53SPEAKER_02: So she Henan has like serious stuff.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: Like, my other No, not just serious stuff.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: You know what else is like I I I you know what else I would love to um leave behind one more serious thing, and then I'll stop being serious.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: Okay, tell me.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: The other serious thing I wish we would stop doing altogether 2024, 2025, any any year really, is um uh for immigration in this country to stop ripping families apart.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, fully understand there's undocumented people, but I feel like we just need to be better about that.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna leave it at that.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Um and have affordable health care and affordable housing.
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: And I'm the serious person.
- 13:25SPEAKER_02: Healthcare for all.
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: I'm the serious person.
- 13:27SPEAKER_02: I'm just saying, you know, since you were serious, I'm gonna go serious too.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: My hair is really triangular.
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: Okay, we can switch modes now.
- 13:35SPEAKER_02: Okay, on a less serious note again.
- 13:38SPEAKER_02: I think QR codes at restaurants need to be left and lead out just does it.
- 13:42SPEAKER_02: No, because seriously, like halas.
- 13:44SPEAKER_02: Like when I go to a restaurant, like I don't wanna like I already look at my phone enough.
- 13:48SPEAKER_02: Like, I I don't wanna do that.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: The pandemic is done.
- 13:50SPEAKER_02: We're over, we're not wearing masks anymore.
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: We're out, we're in the restaurants.
- 13:54SPEAKER_02: Give me an actual menu.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: It's not that difficult.
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: It's really not that serious.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: No, it is.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: Like, halas, man.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: Like, we like it.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: I love going to the restaurant and there be a QR code, and like I order and I the food comes to the table and I pay at the table, and bar taco does a great job.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: Shout out, bar taco.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: That's not the point.
- 14:11SPEAKER_01: The point is halas, can we move past this?
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: It's okay.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: No, some people like some people like no menus, some people like it's fine.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: Fancy places still have paper menus.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: Okay, yeah, like you'll find me in a fancy place.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: That's not that's not their fault.
- 14:25SPEAKER_02: Remember that yeah, that one time.
- 14:26SPEAKER_02: I don't want to ever do that again.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: Um okay.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: This I think we can agree on.
- 14:31SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 14:32SPEAKER_02: Cyber trucks and anything related to Tesla or Elon Musk.
- 14:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, bye.
- 14:36SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: Bye.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: But that's the that's the look I made.
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: That's the look I made early in a cyber truck.
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I never like Teslas.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: I've never and Cybertrucks.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: Have you been inside of Cyber Truck?
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: Okay, I've been inside of a Cybertruck.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: And it's like not all that.
- 14:49SPEAKER_02: It's just no looks, it looks ugly, and everything that guy stands on.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: It's like a tin can with a wheel and whatever.
- 14:55SPEAKER_01: No, no, he's like, and I think you know what?
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: That is too much airtime for him.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: Bye.
- 14:59SPEAKER_02: Okay, okay, that's fine.
- 15:00SPEAKER_01: We can we can do that.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: Next um celebrity look-alike contests.
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: Are those actually happening?
- 15:06SPEAKER_02: Yes, everywhere, all the time.
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: And I'm just like, why?
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: What's the purpose?
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: I thought it was only people who like look like Amradiev or Tem and Hostney that were doing that on Instagram.
- 15:13SPEAKER_02: They do that in the Adib World, too.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, it's funny because it's like if you order Amradev from Shein and then you have a guy that kind of looks like Oh my god.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: It's so bad, you guys.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: Anyways, you know what?
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: On that note, I also like public celebrity feuds.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm fucking over it.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: Like Blake Lively.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: Yes, I don't care.
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 15:31SPEAKER_01: I'm done.
- 15:31SPEAKER_01: Honestly, though, I will say, like, just the the constant, like, like she went to the New York Times and then he filed suit and blah and this and this and this.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: Like, can you occupy the space with something that actually matters?
- 15:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:45SPEAKER_02: I think I think last year has like a lot of people have have kind of and I don't mind people who do coverage of this kind of stuff.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: No, no, no, that's fine, but I'm saying a lot of people no longer place that much importance on celebrity culture and we need to stay away.
- 15:58SPEAKER_02: Like, we need to continue that.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: I think this is something that's in the past.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: We don't want to, we don't want to.
- 16:03SPEAKER_02: I don't care.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: Because a lot of these people, not a lot, but like a good majority of them are stupid.
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: They're either stupid or they're will willingly and knowingly supporting genocide.
- 16:13SPEAKER_02: Like that for me, like I'm done.
- 16:15SPEAKER_02: I'm not, I will never care enough.
- 16:17SPEAKER_02: Not that I did before, but like, you know, sometimes I'd be interested, you know, hey, what are they up to?
- 16:21SPEAKER_02: Not anymore.
- 16:21SPEAKER_02: I just do not care.
- 16:22SPEAKER_02: I don't care about the celebrity look-alike contest.
- 16:24SPEAKER_02: Like, what like do something better with your time?
- 16:27SPEAKER_01: Agreed.
- 16:27SPEAKER_02: Okay, so we agree.
- 16:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: So you're not making me look unhinged.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: No, but you do that all on your own.
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: Okay, Inty, do you have anything else?
- 16:36SPEAKER_02: Because I always tell her, I prepare, I come with a list.
- 16:39SPEAKER_02: And this one over here, I texted her yesterday.
- 16:41SPEAKER_02: She's like, oh my god, that's a great idea.
- 16:42SPEAKER_02: Did she come up with anything?
- 16:44SPEAKER_02: Busy with what, Yachty?
- 16:45SPEAKER_02: My triangle hair.
- 16:46SPEAKER_02: We talked about that.
- 16:47SPEAKER_02: Shut up.
- 16:48SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: But seriously, okay.
- 16:50SPEAKER_02: Triangle hair.
- 16:51SPEAKER_02: 10-year-old girls with uh with uh skincare routine.
- 16:54SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, who dude?
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: I'm telling you, people agree with me.
- 16:58SPEAKER_02: Like, if you're 10 years old, you shouldn't be putting anti-aging cream on your face.
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: Maybe they have wrinkles.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: Maybe I just don't care.
- 17:05SPEAKER_02: Maybe I just don't care.
- 17:06SPEAKER_02: Why?
- 17:06SPEAKER_02: We need to leave that.
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: Obviously, it's none of our business.
- 17:08SPEAKER_02: Obviously, but it's not right, dude.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: They're 10 years old.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: What is this anti-aging bullshit?
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: Anyways, whatever.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: Who cares?
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: Next.
- 17:17SPEAKER_02: No.
- 17:17SPEAKER_02: Next.
- 17:18SPEAKER_02: That's all you're gonna say.
- 17:19SPEAKER_02: I don't care.
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: A skincare routine for a 10-year-old.
- 17:23SPEAKER_01: Intiza alena li.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: See, I'm telling you, she makes me look like a channel.
- 17:27SPEAKER_02: Why is she upset?
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: Like, if this girl's parents or this child's parents are gonna buy them their skincare and let them use it.
- 17:33SPEAKER_02: You said they buy moisturizer.
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: My makeup is.
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: Is it my problem or yours?
- 17:38SPEAKER_02: Hanan, that's not the point.
- 17:39SPEAKER_02: The point is if you want, if you want your kids to wear makeup, if you want, that's fine.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: I don't have an issue with that.
- 17:45SPEAKER_02: Okay, my issue is why are we it sends a bad message too.
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: Because that's how much I don't care.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: So you don't care the kind of message that these girls are getting when they post themselves putting this shit on social media and then it's affecting other girls?
- 17:59SPEAKER_02: You don't think that that's important enough?
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: I mean, I like what message are they sending?
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: At the end of the day, it's my responsibility to figure out what my children are consuming.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: If other people put off all kinds of crazy things out there, I get that.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: But like, I just like why can't we leave that?
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: Like, just leave it in 20 years, like grow out of it.
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: It's coming with us.
- 18:19SPEAKER_02: It's coming with us and it's coming at full speed.
- 18:21SPEAKER_02: Some of these girls have a better skincare routine than I.
- 18:23SPEAKER_02: I think that's the problem.
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: You're jealous.
- 18:25SPEAKER_02: I'm not jealous.
- 18:26SPEAKER_02: That is one thing I will never be jealous of.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: I don't have a jealous bone in my body.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: This you can agree with me.
- 18:34SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 18:34SPEAKER_02: Family vloggers.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 18:37SPEAKER_01: Consent.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: Consent.
- 18:39SPEAKER_02: Like some of these kids, masa keen.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: Like they are just like, I feel like they don't want to be in that position.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: Honestly, and even so, I feel like with a minor, like with an underage child, like they're not asking.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: They didn't ask you for this.
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: They didn't say they want to be on this.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: I can I get again, like I said in the beginning, consent.
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I think there's like um eight passengers, the the lady from Ruby Frank.
- 19:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, like just the horror stories from that story.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's actually that makes me really sad.
- 19:04SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 19:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that makes me really, really sad.
- 19:06SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 19:07SPEAKER_02: I mean, if they're older, like older kids, like maybe teens, like 15, 16, 17.
- 19:11SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm sure like they can Yeah.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: Oh, I just don't think like the younger ones, and and like you said, consent, if they're okay with it, that's fine.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: I just feel bad because I'm like half these kids don't even know what's going on, but it's right, and then their parents are making it that that I agree with you, right?
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: Like we can like leave that in 2024.
- 19:26SPEAKER_02: We don't want to deal with that.
- 19:27SPEAKER_02: Like, no one watched this shit.
- 19:28SPEAKER_02: Yep, I agree.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: That's something that's like don't support this, don't like.
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: I just I don't know.
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: Like if the kids are older, like you know, like the fur the furrah family, like all the kids are like I'm okay with that.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: But I think it was the kids who started that on TikTok.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: That's fine, but like I'm still okay with it because none of them are like like they're willingly doing this.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like you think they have adults, small kids, but I think he's a teen, like he's 17 or 18.
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: No, they have a little girl.
- 19:51SPEAKER_02: Oh, really?
- 19:52SPEAKER_02: I think they have a little girl of some sort.
- 19:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but she's barely in the that's what I'm saying.
- 19:57SPEAKER_02: Like, if you're older and you want to do something with the family, that's fine by all means.
- 20:00SPEAKER_02: But I just like anyone under the age of 15 or 16 shouldn't be doing that.
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: I just that's my personal opinion.
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: Whatever.
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: I'm not watching those.
- 20:07SPEAKER_02: I never I've never had.
- 20:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I don't honestly not my you know, it's not my cup of tea.
- 20:11SPEAKER_02: Um, anything else that you want to leave back in 2024?
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: My anxiety.
- 20:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, me too.
- 20:18SPEAKER_02: I think I I'm I'm better with it.
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: But last year.
- 20:23SPEAKER_02: Wait, really though?
- 20:24SPEAKER_02: I don't think I'm lying to myself.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: I'm just glad you figured it out.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: I don't have to say anything.
- 20:29SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 20:29SPEAKER_02: It's bad.
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: And I think with everything that's happening, yeah, it's terrible.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: So yeah, that's something I wish I could leave behind.
- 20:35SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 20:36SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 20:37SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 20:37SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 20:38SPEAKER_02: Okay, before we leave, um, I wanna talk about the kids' teacher.
- 20:42SPEAKER_02: Oh, yes.
- 20:43SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh, oh, before you say that.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: So every episode in the info box, we are going to link a GoFundMe or a place for you to donate to a family or to an organization in Gaza that is trusted.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: Um, and this episode's uh GoFundMe is gonna be about the wonderful lady that Lena's about to tell you about.
- 21:03SPEAKER_02: She her name is Huda.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: Shout out Abla Huda.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: Yes, and she um taught my kids Arabic twice a week while she was in Gaza, was online.
- 21:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the kids absolutely loved her, adored her.
- 21:13SPEAKER_02: Alhamdulillah, she's okay, her family's okay.
- 21:16SPEAKER_02: Um, but she lost her home.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: Uh it was kind of like a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: Alhamdulillah that her family is together, but it's a super tragic.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: So she's got seven kids.
- 21:25SPEAKER_02: They're living in a yeah, they're living in a tent and they need all the help they can get.
- 21:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:29SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna post uh the GoFundMe link in the description uh in the YouTube video.
- 21:34SPEAKER_02: So please check it out.
- 21:35SPEAKER_02: If you can donate anything, five dollars, two dollars, ten, whatever it is you can donate, okay.
- 21:40SPEAKER_02: Just please, you know, check it out and share it with your friends.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: Don't feel like I'm saying here okay, like you're talking, yeah.
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: I got you, girl.
- 21:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm sure you do.
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: But just please, you know, just consider donating.
- 21:51SPEAKER_02: And like Hana said, we'll try to um talk about uh um a fundraiser every episode.
- 21:57SPEAKER_02: Even if we don't talk about it in an episode, check the info boxes.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: It'll be in the info box.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: We'll always put a link to a GoFundMe.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: And if you know anybody, if you know of a family, if you know someone or an organization that you want us to talk about or please send it our way.
- 22:10SPEAKER_02: Uh please send it and we'll definitely include it.
- 22:12SPEAKER_02: And like Hanan said, if we're even if we're not talking about it in the actual episode, it'll be in the info box.
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: We'll definitely put it uh on all our uh social media platforms.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: I like how she says we because like she's gonna put it.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: It's but um okay, so now that that series of stories over, you want to tell you something funny?
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: Sure.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: Okay, so um Susan, Susan's like a family member for us.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: So Susan is she used to be, she's like the daughter of one of my like dear friends, and she used a nanny for us um when my second son was born.
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: Uh she always has like the funniest interaction with her dad.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: So she was talking to him about a gofundme of some sort, right?
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: And Susan, uh, by the way, is from Lebanon, so her family was uh affected by uh by you know Israelis uh aggression, I think.
- 22:54SPEAKER_02: Thank you, thank you.
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah state.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so she's uh basilallah, her grandmother's here and she's safe.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: Alhamdulillah.
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: Um anyway, so she was talking to her dad about a GoFundMe, and um she was showing him, you know, like how it like works, and she's showing him the different donations that people have made, and he goes, Mean had anonomies.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: Like, who is this anonomies?
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: They've made so many donations.
- 23:20SPEAKER_02: He means anonymous.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: Say it again, how did he pronounce that?
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: Anonomies?
- 23:26SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: So I'm just wanted to share this with you guys so that you can be big time and you can.
- 23:31SPEAKER_02: You can be ananamies.
- 23:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, anonomies.
- 23:34SPEAKER_02: You can definitely be ananamies.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, anonomies.
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: You can be anonomies when you make your donation.
- 23:38SPEAKER_02: I don't think we should ever pronounce any other way, right?
- 23:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, anonomies.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, ononomise, yeah.
- 23:43SPEAKER_01: He's also the guy who famously in the um the Clinton uh Trump elections uh uh went up to his daughter and said, Oh my god, oh my god, Trump got arrangis.
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: Arankis.
- 23:56SPEAKER_02: What does that mean?
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: Arkansas.
- 23:58SPEAKER_01: No, for the shout out to all our like Arab dads like for providing us with this kind of content.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: Arankis, huh?
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: Arankis.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: It's so good.
- 24:07SPEAKER_01: I think it I like I'm still laughing.
- 24:09SPEAKER_02: No, it's great.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: That's awesome.
- 24:11SPEAKER_02: But yeah, we love our Arab dads.
- 24:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: So thank you.
- 24:14SPEAKER_02: This was a good episode.
- 24:15SPEAKER_02: Thank you guys for sticking with us.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: I think we're a little rusty.
- 24:18SPEAKER_01: A little bit, but we still love you.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: And thank you for being here.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: And we'll be back with like our regularly scheduled content.
- 24:24SPEAKER_02: Thank you for sticking with us because like our our following is still decent.
- 24:27SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 24:28SPEAKER_02: So a lot of you stuck in there.
- 24:29SPEAKER_02: I think.
- 24:29SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 24:30SPEAKER_02: We so appreciate you.
- 24:31SPEAKER_01: We'll be back with more fun content, and we'll see you in the next episode.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: Inshallah.
