- 4:43Speaker 12: Robbie G podcast on Spreaker, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and wherever you
- 4:48Speaker 12: get your podcast. That's right, we are doing a little
- 4:52Speaker 12: tribute to Dolly Parton. I've got two more Dolly songs.
- 4:55Speaker 12: I've got one coming up in the middle of the
- 4:57Speaker 12: show right before the entertainment section, and then I will
- 5:01Speaker 12: end the show with a Dolly Parton song as well.
- 5:03Speaker 12: We'll be talking also about Dolly Parton and the other
- 5:06Speaker 12: celebrities that we've lost since this show has been pretty
- 5:09Speaker 12: much off the air. I decided to take a little
- 5:12Speaker 12: hiatus for a while and coming back and there's a
- 5:16Speaker 12: lot of celebrities we lost in the year so far.
- 5:19Speaker 12: So we'll talk about that in the entertainment section. Right now,
- 5:23Speaker 12: I just want to wish a happy birthday to everybody
- 5:26Speaker 12: celebrating a birthday on Wednesday. all the way through Sunday
- 5:31Speaker 12: of this week. So here we go. My best friend,
- 5:34Speaker 12: Johnny Riccio, has his 50th birthday coming up on Wednesday.
- 5:38Speaker 12: That is tomorrow, of course. I do record the show
- 5:41Speaker 12: the day before. So when we do it, it's recorded
- 5:45Speaker 12: the day before and not the day of. So happy
- 5:48Speaker 12: birthday to Johnny. Adam Sandler turns 60. Nancy Wu turns 45.
- 5:54Speaker 12: Hugh Grant is 66. Michael Bublé turns 51. And WWE
- 5:59Speaker 12: wrestler Zilla Fatu turns 27. On Thursday, September 10th, my
- 6:06Speaker 12: boy Randy Williams, he turns 46 years old. So happy birthday, Randy.
- 6:11Speaker 12: Also celebrating a birthday on his day is Matt Rife,
- 6:14Speaker 12: the comedian. He turns 31. Mickey Way turns 46. And
- 6:20Speaker 12: actor Ryan Phillippe turns 52. On Friday, 9-11, we'll be
- 6:25Speaker 12: talking about that a little later on too. Ludacris turns 49.
- 6:30Speaker 12: Taraji P. Henson turns 56. Paul Heyman from WWE turns 61.
- 6:37Speaker 12: So does Moby. It's crazy looking at the two of
- 6:39Speaker 12: them both being the same age. And Harry Connick Jr.
- 6:43Speaker 12: turns 59. On Saturday, September 12th, we got Sidney Sweeney
- 6:48Speaker 12: turning 29. Would have been Paul Walker's birthday that day too. Drewski,
- 6:54Speaker 12: the comedian YouTuber, turns 32. Singer-actress Jennifer Hudson turns 45.
- 7:01Speaker 12: Kelsey Ballerini turns 33. And 2 Chainz, he turns 49
- 7:06Speaker 12: years young. And then, of course, Sunday, September 13th, One
- 7:12Speaker 12: Direction's Niall Horan turns 33. Actor Tyler Perry turns 57.
- 7:15Speaker 12: Lily Renhart turns 30. Dave Mustaine, the former Metallica guitarist,
- 7:25Speaker 12: turns 65. Chris Hansen is still busting Predators at the
- 7:30Speaker 12: age of 67. And Ben Savage from Girl and Boy
- 7:34Speaker 12: Meets World turns 46. So he's the same age that
- 7:39Speaker 12: I'm going to be. So that's crazy. Uh, let's go
- 7:43Speaker 12: into some sports first. And of course, for those who
- 7:45Speaker 12: don't remember the show, uh, we start with sports. We
- 7:49Speaker 12: talk a little bit about different things in the sporting world,
- 7:51Speaker 12: and then we go to the entertainment section. So let's
- 7:54Speaker 12: kick it off with a little NCAA football talk. We
- 7:57Speaker 12: got to talk about Michigan. This is my team. Okay.
- 8:01Speaker 12: And I am unapologetic for the fact that I love Michigan,
- 8:05Speaker 12: Michigan fans since I was a kid, Michigan jacket, a
- 8:09Speaker 12: starter jacket and everything. Huge fan of the Fab Five
- 8:12Speaker 12: for basketball. Huge fan of Tom Brady when he played.
- 8:17Speaker 12: But I can't be, even though I'm happy we won,
- 8:24Speaker 12: not happy the way we won. Okay? I'm not going
- 8:28Speaker 12: to blame Michigan for that. Of course that's not their fault. Okay?
- 8:32Speaker 12: The referees decided to watch the replay. They noticed that
- 8:36Speaker 12: it was a second off. They gave them that extra second,
- 8:38Speaker 12: and then, of course, everybody knows. We had the Hail
- 8:41Speaker 12: Mary bomb to the end zone, 48 yards, and bada-bing, bada-boom,
- 8:45Speaker 12: Michigan beats Western Michigan in that game. Do I agree
- 8:49Speaker 12: with it? No. Am I happy? Yes, because it's still
- 8:53Speaker 12: my team, regardless of, and I want to talk about this,
- 8:57Speaker 12: because as a sports fan, there are a ton of
- 8:59Speaker 12: people right now. One guy made a comment on my
- 9:03Speaker 12: Facebook page, and he said, you should be ashamed of
- 9:07Speaker 12: your team right now. You're pathetic. First of all, dude,
- 9:12Speaker 12: I'm not playing. I don't play in the game. I'm
- 9:17Speaker 12: not out there. So for you to talk about me,
- 9:21Speaker 12: like I did something wrong in that situation, we all
- 9:25Speaker 12: know that was on the referees. You could say that
- 9:27Speaker 12: they were paid off. You could say this and that. Honestly,
- 9:31Speaker 12: it's kind of BS. Nobody was paid off for that.
- 9:35Speaker 12: Nobody knew that was going to happen last second. It's
- 9:38Speaker 12: just what happened. So as a Michigan fan, am I
- 9:42Speaker 12: happy that they won? Yes. Am I happy the way
- 9:45Speaker 12: they won?
- 9:46Speaker 13: No.
- 9:46Speaker 12: And that's all I'm going to say about that. I'm
- 9:48Speaker 12: a big Michigan fan. I'm happy we won and we're 1-0.
- 9:51Speaker 12: I'm sorry for Western Michigan. There is a rumor that
- 9:54Speaker 12: I read today that they are looking into possibly reversing it.
- 9:59Speaker 12: I don't know. never seen that happen before. I mean,
- 10:03Speaker 12: it would be unprecedented if it did. So we'll have
- 10:06Speaker 12: to see. I don't know if it's going to happen.
- 10:07Speaker 12: But if it does, I mean, I guess there's really
- 10:10Speaker 12: not much we can do about it. But for now,
- 10:14Speaker 12: Michigan is 1-0. We're going to go over... I actually picked...
- 10:18Speaker 12: 10 games. Because for some reason, ESPN's app doesn't let
- 10:22Speaker 12: you pick all the games for that week. It only
- 10:26Speaker 12: lets you pick a certain amount. And I went 10-0
- 10:28Speaker 12: on that. I was back. So I'll let you know
- 10:30Speaker 12: what teams I picked and who won, and then I'll
- 10:33Speaker 12: tell you who I picked for this week, and we'll
- 10:35Speaker 12: see how I do. I also did the pick-ems for
- 10:39Speaker 12: the NFL for this weekend. We'll go over that, too,
- 10:42Speaker 12: in a little bit. And I'm going to go over ChatGPT.
- 10:46Speaker 12: It's funny. If you ask ChatGPT, it will tell you
- 10:50Speaker 12: the list of the games and who they think is
- 10:53Speaker 12: going to win. So we'll see what happens. All right,
- 10:57Speaker 12: so here we go. Here is the list of teams
- 10:59Speaker 12: that I picked, and it was just like a random list.
- 11:01Speaker 12: It was really weird. I picked the Cincinnati Bearcats to
- 11:05Speaker 12: go 1-0 against Boston College Eagles, and that won. I
- 11:10Speaker 12: picked the Auburn Tigers to beat the Baylor Bears, and
- 11:13Speaker 12: they won 17-16. I chose the Duke Blue Devils to
- 11:17Speaker 12: beat Tulane Green Wave, and they won 17-3. I picked
- 11:21Speaker 12: Colorado State Rams, and they beat the Wyoming Cowboys. 35-13.
- 11:26Speaker 12: I chose number 11, LSU Tigers, to beat the Clemson Tigers.
- 11:34Speaker 12: And they did, 51-10. That was one of the blowout ones.
- 11:38Speaker 12: I chose the UNLV Rebels, who were already 0-1, to
- 11:47Speaker 12: face Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. And they beat them, 21-6. Then
- 11:53Speaker 12: I picked UCLA Bruins over the California Golden Bears. They won.
- 11:57Speaker 12: I picked the Nevada Pack over the Western Kentucky Toppers,
- 12:02Speaker 12: and they won 49-14. I picked No. 9 Ole Miss
- 12:06Speaker 12: Rebels over the No. 24 Louisville Cardinals, and Ole Miss
- 12:10Speaker 12: won that game. And then I picked the SU Mustangs
- 12:13Speaker 12: at 19 over the Florida State Seminoles, and they won 27-24. So,
- 12:20Speaker 12: I mean, that's pretty crazy. I went 10-0 on that.
- 12:22Speaker 12: I was very shocked. If I knew that, I would
- 12:24Speaker 12: have took those 10 teams and bet on them. Because
- 12:29Speaker 12: I would have won in the rankings, and I would
- 12:31Speaker 12: have won. Who knows how much money? Because let's see
- 12:34Speaker 12: if any were underdogs. No underdogs so far. No underdogs.
- 12:39Speaker 12: No underdog there. No underdog there. I mean, I still
- 12:45Speaker 12: would have got something for it. No, none of them
- 12:47Speaker 12: were underdogs. They were all the favorites, and they won. So, yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 12: so not bad. So for this week, week two, I
- 12:54Speaker 12: did it again. People are going to laugh at me
- 12:57Speaker 12: on this, and I know they are, and it's fine.
- 13:01Speaker 12: I'm going to be a homer. Michigan is going to
- 13:03Speaker 12: win their game against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday. I'm
- 13:10Speaker 12: calling it now. They're going to win. I picked the
- 13:13Speaker 12: Purdue Boilermakers to beat the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Both
- 13:19Speaker 12: teams are 1-0 going into that one. I picked the
- 13:22Speaker 12: Army Black Knights to beat the South Florida Bulls. I
- 13:27Speaker 12: took the Minnesota Golden Gophers at 1-0 to beat the
- 13:31Speaker 12: 1-0 Mississippi State Bulldogs. I took the Pittsburgh Panthers to
- 13:37Speaker 12: beat the UCF Knights. I took Syracuse at 1-0 to
- 13:43Speaker 12: beat California Golden Bears. I took the Illinois Fighting Illini
- 13:47Speaker 12: to beat the Duke Blue Devils. I took Boise State Broncos,
- 13:52Speaker 12: who are 0-1, to beat the 2-0 Memphis Tigers. And
- 13:56Speaker 12: Boise State is the favorite of that. I don't know
- 14:00Speaker 12: if it's because they're at home or just because. But, yes,
- 14:02Speaker 12: they are the favorites. I took the number four Texas
- 14:06Speaker 12: Longhorns to beat the number one Ohio State Buckeyes. And
- 14:10Speaker 12: I took North Dakota State Bison to beat Air Force Falcons.
- 14:16Speaker 12: So we'll see what happens there. Maybe I'll put a
- 14:19Speaker 12: bet down on it. I did win a bet this
- 14:21Speaker 12: weekend for NCAA, my first bet of the year. I'm
- 14:25Speaker 12: picking baseball teams. I picked the overs. Well, actually, it
- 14:30Speaker 12: was already a pre-made over, and it was five teams,
- 14:33Speaker 12: six teams. They all had to hit their overs. Their
- 14:36Speaker 12: overs were anywhere from 51 points to 61 points, depending
- 14:40Speaker 12: on who it was, and I hit. It came down
- 14:42Speaker 12: to the last game, and I wasn't sure if it
- 14:45Speaker 12: was going to happen, and it did. So we'll see
- 14:49Speaker 12: what happens. But we'll see what they give for Saturday,
- 14:52Speaker 12: and maybe we'll try it again. I won almost $ 600
- 14:54Speaker 12: on that, so not too shabby. Let's see where the
- 14:59Speaker 12: top 25. We do this every week. We will look
- 15:03Speaker 12: at the rankings and see where everybody is going into
- 15:05Speaker 12: week two. All right, so going 25 to 1, let's
- 15:09Speaker 12: see where all the teams rank. Number 25, actually down
- 15:13Speaker 12: from 21, it looks like. is Virginia, who is 1-0.
- 15:22Speaker 12: At number 24, Louisville stays the same at 0-1. 23,
- 15:30Speaker 12: up two spots, is Missouri. Oh, actually, no. I'm confused
- 15:36Speaker 12: on this one because they were not ranked. Oh, that's
- 15:39Speaker 12: how many spots they went up. Oh, okay. Hold on
- 15:43Speaker 12: a second. Who's that? Go away. Okay, so number 25, Virginia,
- 15:47Speaker 12: went up 21 spots. They weren't even in the top 25,
- 15:51Speaker 12: and now they are. So they're number 25. Number 24
- 15:55Speaker 12: was the same, and it was Louisville. Number 23, Missouri,
- 15:59Speaker 12: went up two spots to number 23. Houston went up
- 16:01Speaker 12: one spot to 22. Iowa went up one spot to 21.
- 16:03Speaker 12: Utah went up one spot to number 20. Washington went
- 16:06Speaker 12: down two spots to number 19. Tennessee... went up two
- 16:20Speaker 12: spots to number 18. SMU went up two spots to
- 16:25Speaker 12: number 17. Penn State went up two spots to 16.
- 16:30Speaker 12: BYU dropped a spot to number 15. USC stayed the
- 16:34Speaker 12: same at number 14. Texas Tech dropped one spot to 13.
- 16:40Speaker 12: Alabama rolled tight. They went up one spot to number 12.
- 16:44Speaker 12: Oklahoma went down one spot to number 11. Texas A
- 16:49Speaker 12: & M dropped in the top. They're still in the
- 16:52Speaker 12: top 10, but they dropped two spots to number 10.
- 16:55Speaker 12: Ole Miss stayed the same at number 9. LSU went
- 16:59Speaker 12: up three spots to number 8. Miami, Florida. University of
- 17:05Speaker 12: Miami went. They stayed the same at number 7. Oregon.
- 17:11Speaker 12: They dropped four spots to number 6. Number 5 went
- 17:16Speaker 12: up one spot. It's Indiana. Number four is Texas, who
- 17:21Speaker 12: went up one spot. Notre Dame is number three up
- 17:24Speaker 12: one spot. Georgia is number two up one spot. And
- 17:29Speaker 12: staying the same at number one for two weeks in
- 17:31Speaker 12: a row, Ohio State, who won their first game. So
- 17:35Speaker 12: Michigan dropped out of the top 25. They were number
- 17:39Speaker 12: 16 coming in, and they dropped out. So it's actually
- 17:43Speaker 12: kind of funny if you think about it because You know,
- 17:46Speaker 12: you would think they got the win, they won the game,
- 17:50Speaker 12: and they're still out. So that's pretty crazy. Yeah. I mean,
- 17:58Speaker 12: others that received votes, Michigan is there. They just didn't get.
- 18:02Speaker 12: And even Western Michigan got some votes. They had like
- 18:05Speaker 12: 12 votes, but never got in. So that's okay. We'll
- 18:09Speaker 12: see where everybody ranks this week. Of course, you know,
- 18:11Speaker 12: if Michigan can pull off the wins, in theirs, then
- 18:18Speaker 12: possibly they'll get back into the... They're going against Oklahoma.
- 18:24Speaker 12: Oklahoma right now is ranked... Where did I say they were? Oklahoma...
- 18:30Speaker 12: Where's Oklahoma at? I know they're in the top. Oh,
- 18:35Speaker 12: here we go. They're like number 11 right now. So
- 18:37Speaker 12: if Michigan can beat them.
- 18:41Speaker 12: Then, yeah, they definitely have a really good shot of,
- 18:46Speaker 12: you know, getting back into the top 25. So we'll
- 18:49Speaker 12: see what happens in there. But, yeah, so go blue
- 18:52Speaker 12: and go for whoever team you guys got in the college.
- 18:56Speaker 12: Let me know. I'm going to have to drop my–
- 18:59Speaker 12: I've got to find all my social medias tonight when
- 19:01Speaker 12: I put this on to go on tomorrow. I'm going
- 19:04Speaker 12: to try to have all my social media pages in
- 19:07Speaker 12: there for you guys so you guys can come follow
- 19:09Speaker 12: me wherever you want. Facebook, X, all those. I'm going
- 19:13Speaker 12: to try to get my name for all of them,
- 19:15Speaker 12: and I'll put them on there so everybody can keep it.
- 19:17Speaker 12: All right, we are going to move on to a
- 19:21Speaker 12: little bit of NFL because I think everybody's excited for
- 19:24Speaker 12: the NFL coming back, and it starts on Wednesday. So
- 19:29Speaker 12: I'm going to say it like it's today because you're
- 19:31Speaker 12: hearing it on Wednesday, the show. I record on Tuesday,
- 19:34Speaker 12: but you hear it on Wednesday. So it's not going
- 19:37Speaker 12: to be like this every week. In fact... I'm probably
- 19:40Speaker 12: going to start recording now on Wednesdays to release on Thursday.
- 19:44Speaker 12: I want my first day of the show to be
- 19:47Speaker 12: the first day of the football week, which is going
- 19:49Speaker 12: to be Thursday. It's only Wednesday this week because everybody
- 19:52Speaker 12: knows that the game on Thursday is going to be
- 19:55Speaker 12: in Australia. So they couldn't do two games at the
- 19:59Speaker 12: same day like that. And because Seattle needs the first
- 20:03Speaker 12: game of the week because of them being Super Bowl champions,
- 20:06Speaker 12: they decided to do a Wednesday night game. So we'll
- 20:09Speaker 12: see what happens with that. But we're going to go
- 20:11Speaker 12: over all that, and let's talk about it. All right,
- 20:14Speaker 12: before we go into the actual games, let's talk about
- 20:17Speaker 12: a couple of big breaking news stories that happened on Tuesday.
- 20:21Speaker 12: So Baker Mayfield and the Bucs signed an extension for
- 20:26Speaker 12: three years. The extension that he signed is locked in
- 20:30Speaker 12: with the Bucs. They are all in on Baker Mayfield
- 20:35Speaker 12: being their QB1. for at least the next three years
- 20:39Speaker 12: after this. He signed a three-year extension worth $ 165 million.
- 20:47Speaker 12: Caleb is going to make bank. If Caleb can have
- 20:49Speaker 12: a good season, and we'll talk about that in a
- 20:51Speaker 12: few minutes, but if Caleb can have a great season
- 20:54Speaker 12: this year, I will tell you now, okay, if he
- 21:00Speaker 12: can do that, he is going to make bank. Because
- 21:05Speaker 12: Baker Mayfield... just signed a $ 165 million contract extension for
- 21:12Speaker 12: three years. Baker Mayfield, okay? Baker Mayfield was not always
- 21:16Speaker 12: that great of a quarterback. He just really started coming
- 21:19Speaker 12: into his own. So if you think about it, if
- 21:23Speaker 12: they signed him to that, imagine what Caleb could make
- 21:27Speaker 12: coming fresh off of his rookie deal. Another big news
- 21:31Speaker 12: is that tonight when you watch the Rams– or no,
- 21:37Speaker 12: Thursday night, when you watch the Rams and San Francisco,
- 21:41Speaker 12: you will not see Aaron Donald. They already said he
- 21:46Speaker 12: is not making the trip overseas. And I really believe
- 21:51Speaker 12: what we're going to get with Aaron Donald is he
- 21:54Speaker 12: will play, I'm thinking home games. He may travel here
- 22:00Speaker 12: and there. I don't know if he's going to play
- 22:03Speaker 12: every week. I don't know if he is going to
- 22:05Speaker 12: be there every with them. Aaron Donald is there for
- 22:09Speaker 12: another ring. And I had to look that up today.
- 22:12Speaker 12: I'm like, was he with the Rams when they won it?
- 22:15Speaker 12: And he was. So he's not really ring chasing for
- 22:18Speaker 12: his first and only ring. He's just trying to get
- 22:20Speaker 12: another one. And he knows his best opportunity to do
- 22:24Speaker 12: that is with Myles Garrett. You've got Myles Garrett on
- 22:29Speaker 12: one end, and then you've got Aaron Donald on the
- 22:33Speaker 12: other end. Now, Are we going to see the same
- 22:38Speaker 12: Aaron Donald that we've seen in years past? Because he's
- 22:41Speaker 12: not old. He's only 32. A lot of people wonder
- 22:46Speaker 12: why he even retired that young. He could have played
- 22:50Speaker 12: straight through and maybe retired at like 37. But for
- 22:54Speaker 12: some reason, he wanted to retire. Now, will this spark
- 22:57Speaker 12: him wanting to come back? How long is Myles Garrett
- 23:00Speaker 12: under contract with the Rams? Let me look that up.
- 23:03Speaker 12: All right, so Myles Garrett signed on June 2nd, 2026,
- 23:07Speaker 12: and he signed through 2030. So he signed for four years,
- 23:13Speaker 12: a multi-year contract. Five years worth $ 208 total million. And
- 23:21Speaker 12: that was after the trade, obviously. Then he did the
- 23:24Speaker 12: extension with him. But, I mean, I can see Aaron Donald,
- 23:29Speaker 12: who's only 32, possibly signing.
- 23:35Speaker 12: Maybe a two- or three-year extension after this, if this
- 23:38Speaker 12: goes good. Will he play every game? I don't know.
- 23:43Speaker 12: I know he's not going to be in Australia to
- 23:46Speaker 12: play the game against San Francisco. Is he going to
- 23:51Speaker 12: be just home games, or is he going to play?
- 23:52Speaker 12: Because I'm going to be honest. If you're signing somebody
- 23:55Speaker 12: that big of a contract, you better be there. I
- 23:57Speaker 12: get it. He doesn't want to go overseas. I was
- 24:00Speaker 12: almost thinking he wasn't going to officially announce anything until
- 24:03Speaker 12: after this week. I thought maybe they would play the game,
- 24:06Speaker 12: and then a day or two after, he would announce
- 24:09Speaker 12: he's coming back. I didn't think they would bring him back,
- 24:12Speaker 12: because I'm sure the fans in Australia were excited that
- 24:15Speaker 12: Aaron Nowell was coming back. I mean, these country people
- 24:19Speaker 12: that we go and play in other countries, they know football,
- 24:22Speaker 12: so they know who he is, and they were probably
- 24:25Speaker 12: excited to see him. They were like, oh, we get
- 24:26Speaker 12: to see him and Miles Garrett together, and now you're
- 24:29Speaker 12: not going to be able to see that, because he's
- 24:31Speaker 12: not going to be there on Thursday, so I guess
- 24:33Speaker 12: we're going to find out, but I'm just wondering, is
- 24:37Speaker 12: he going to play every single game besides this one,
- 24:41Speaker 12: or is he going to try to preserve himself for
- 24:45Speaker 12: the playoffs and only play in a certain amount of games? Yeah,
- 24:49Speaker 12: so I mean, I looked it up while we were talking,
- 24:51Speaker 12: and it says right here, he will not play every
- 24:56Speaker 12: single game this season, so They are going to try
- 25:01Speaker 12: to restrict his workload a little bit because he's not
- 25:06Speaker 12: in full football shape. He didn't play for a whole
- 25:09Speaker 12: year and a half. It's a long time to be
- 25:10Speaker 12: out of football. It doesn't seem like a long time,
- 25:15Speaker 12: but it is in football years. So, yeah, I definitely
- 25:19Speaker 12: will not. I wouldn't expect to see him every week.
- 25:22Speaker 12: Will he even travel with the team every week? He
- 25:24Speaker 12: may take a couple games here and there off and
- 25:26Speaker 12: just train instead of playin'. So we'll see what happens.
- 25:29Speaker 12: But I'm excited to see where it goes. Even if
- 25:31Speaker 12: you get a 70% Aaron Donald, him and Miles Garrett
- 25:37Speaker 12: together is still going to be one of those tandems
- 25:40Speaker 12: that you're going to be like, oh, shoot, how are
- 25:42Speaker 12: we going to play this guy? So, yeah, I mean,
- 25:44Speaker 12: if you think about it, I mean, if you look
- 25:47Speaker 12: at the Bears, they've got Montez Sweat. Then you got
- 25:50Speaker 12: Austin Booker. You got Dayo Adangbo. You've got, you know, so,
- 25:55Speaker 12: I mean.
- 25:57Speaker 12: You don't have two feared defensive ends right now. You
- 26:02Speaker 12: have one that you could fear with Montez Sweat and
- 26:05Speaker 12: a couple of guys who you're like, eh, maybe they're good.
- 26:09Speaker 12: Maybe they're not. We don't know yet. So we'll see.
- 26:12Speaker 12: Until they step up and we see that happen, then
- 26:15Speaker 12: we'll know what's going to be. And then maybe teams
- 26:17Speaker 12: will start to fear the Bears defensive ends a little more.
- 26:21Speaker 12: And they'll start trying to double. Because here's the thing.
- 26:23Speaker 12: You can't double both sides all the time. So, like,
- 26:27Speaker 12: if one side is open, then the other side is
- 26:31Speaker 12: being double teamed, the other side's open, that's going to
- 26:34Speaker 12: be the guy that's going to get to that quarterback.
- 26:35Speaker 12: So we'll see what happens. We'll talk about that in
- 26:38Speaker 12: a few minutes with the Bears. But let's go over
- 26:41Speaker 12: really quick this week's schedule and who I picked to win. Now,
- 26:48Speaker 12: I kind of picked with the chat GPT, which was
- 26:52Speaker 12: kind of funny. I kind of went along with it.
- 26:54Speaker 12: So we'll see what happens. I even picked one upset
- 26:59Speaker 12: that I think is going to happen. So here, let's
- 27:00Speaker 12: go over that really quick. All right, so the big
- 27:04Speaker 12: kickoff to football starts tonight on Wednesday. For everybody that's
- 27:08Speaker 12: listening right now, we've got the New England Patriots traveling
- 27:13Speaker 12: to Seattle to play the 2025-26 Super Bowl champions, Seahawks.
- 27:22Speaker 12: What's that going to bring? We're going to see. I
- 27:24Speaker 12: got Seattle winning that one. I think that Mike Rabel
- 27:28Speaker 12: is not going to have the season he had last year.
- 27:30Speaker 12: I think there will be regression on New England, not
- 27:34Speaker 12: only because of the fact now they did get into A.J. Brown.
- 27:39Speaker 12: That's a pretty big pickup for Drake May. But I
- 27:44Speaker 12: think the grass isn't going to be greener on the
- 27:46Speaker 12: other side for A.J. Brown. I don't think he's going
- 27:48Speaker 12: to be that excited there. I think Drake May is
- 27:52Speaker 12: going to struggle, and I still think the scandal is
- 27:56Speaker 12: going to come up during the season with Rabel and
- 28:00Speaker 12: Russini or whatever her name was. So I think that
- 28:03Speaker 12: that could affect the team a little. I mean, it
- 28:05Speaker 12: did a little in the offseason, but now that the
- 28:08Speaker 12: season's here... Now it's going to be brought up again
- 28:11Speaker 12: because that's what the NFL does. That's what they want.
- 28:14Speaker 12: They want the drama. So we'll see what happens there.
- 28:18Speaker 12: We got Thursday night football, of course, and that's going
- 28:20Speaker 12: to be in Australia. The San Francisco 49ers will be
- 28:25Speaker 12: considered the road team. The home team is going to
- 28:27Speaker 12: be the Los Angeles Rams. I still think without Aaron
- 28:30Speaker 12: Donald there, Miles Garrett's going to feast. on Brock Purdy,
- 28:36Speaker 12: and I think that the Los Angeles Rams get the
- 28:39Speaker 12: W in Australia. Next matchup, and this is Sunday at noon.
- 28:45Speaker 12: Here's the noon games. We got the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- 28:48Speaker 12: with the freshly signed and extended Baker Mayfield going to
- 28:52Speaker 12: Cincinnati to play Joe Burrow and the pesky Cincinnati Bengals.
- 28:56Speaker 12: I took the Bengals in this one. It's still Joe Burrow,
- 29:00Speaker 12: and as long as he's healthy, they win games like this.
- 29:04Speaker 12: I think that they start off really good, you know,
- 29:07Speaker 12: just like they always do. And they'll start falling later
- 29:10Speaker 12: in the season. But I took Cincinnati. We have the
- 29:18Speaker 12: New Orleans Saints traveling to Detroit to play the Lions.
- 29:22Speaker 12: And I think, just like always, Lions will start off
- 29:26Speaker 12: a little hot. They'll win that game. It's New Orleans.
- 29:28Speaker 12: They're not really that great of a team. So I
- 29:31Speaker 12: do really feel like the Detroit Lions... are going to
- 29:34Speaker 12: get the W there. We'll see what happens. Also at
- 29:38Speaker 12: noon that day, the New York Jets travel to Tennessee
- 29:42Speaker 12: to play the Titans. This is a sleeper game. This
- 29:46Speaker 12: is going to be a game that no one cares
- 29:48Speaker 12: about except for if you're a fan of the Jets
- 29:50Speaker 12: or the Titans. I pick the Titans. I just think
- 29:53Speaker 12: that they're.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Going to win.
- 29:55Speaker 12: Baltimore Ravens on Lamar Jackson head to Indianapolis to face
- 29:59Speaker 12: the Colts. Even as the home team, the Colts are
- 30:02Speaker 12: the underdog in this one, of course, because it's Lamar
- 30:05Speaker 12: Jackson and Derrick Henry. They're going to feast like they
- 30:08Speaker 12: always do. Baltimore wins. At 12 o'clock is also the
- 30:13Speaker 12: Atlanta Falcons going one-on-one with the Aaron Rodgers and the
- 30:19Speaker 12: Pittsburgh Steelers. How is Aaron Rodgers going to play? We're
- 30:22Speaker 12: going to find out. I don't know. I think Aaron,
- 30:26Speaker 12: you know, he already announced he's going to retire. I
- 30:29Speaker 12: think that Pittsburgh's going to have a tough season, but
- 30:32Speaker 12: I think they can beat the Falcons. So I really
- 30:34Speaker 12: think they win this one. Pittsburgh over them. Also at noon,
- 30:39Speaker 12: my Chicago Bears traveling to Carolina to play Bryce Young
- 30:46Speaker 12: and the Carolina Panthers. Bears defense needs a feast on
- 30:49Speaker 12: this one. It is not the greatest team. They got
- 30:52Speaker 12: rid of one of their big running backs. Bryce Young
- 30:55Speaker 12: is still Bryce Young. We're not sure on what he
- 30:57Speaker 12: is yet. This is a chance to get that Bears.
- 31:00Speaker 12: Dennis Allen needs to get that Bears defense ready to
- 31:02Speaker 12: go because a game like this, if you win it
- 31:05Speaker 12: and make a statement game out of it, I'm telling
- 31:08Speaker 12: you now, you have a chance. to show other teams
- 31:12Speaker 12: that you could be with the big dogs. I'm going
- 31:15Speaker 12: to talk about the Bears and everything coming up after this,
- 31:18Speaker 12: but let's go into the rest of it. I got
- 31:20Speaker 12: the Bears winning that one. Cleveland Browns at the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 31:27Speaker 12: Does anybody really care about this one? I don't think
- 31:29Speaker 12: anybody really cares. I took Jacksonville on that one. Buffalo
- 31:33Speaker 12: Bills traveled to Houston to play the Texans. I got
- 31:38Speaker 12: Josh Allen... DJ Moore, I wish this game was going
- 31:42Speaker 12: to be on TV at like 325 because I would
- 31:46Speaker 12: love to see what DJ Moore does there. I'll see
- 31:48Speaker 12: it in the highlights if he does anything, but Buffalo
- 31:51Speaker 12: Bills are going to win that one. Now we switch
- 31:54Speaker 12: over to the 325 games. The Miami Dolphins travel to
- 31:58Speaker 12: Vegas to play the Raiders. Chad GBT said that the
- 32:02Speaker 12: Dolphins were going to upset. I'm going to go with
- 32:05Speaker 12: the Miami Dolphins on that one. I think Malik Willis
- 32:08Speaker 12: is going to be excited. being in a new team
- 32:11Speaker 12: and him being at the helm as a starter now.
- 32:14Speaker 12: He was behind Jordan Love and everything, and I think
- 32:20Speaker 12: he was ready to break out early, and he didn't
- 32:22Speaker 12: want to wait for Jordan Love. Obviously, Jordan Love is young, too,
- 32:27Speaker 12: so he knew he was never going to get that
- 32:28Speaker 12: shot like Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre and everything, and
- 32:34Speaker 12: Jordan Love, too, getting that chance to play behind an
- 32:37Speaker 12: older veteran who– who eventually would retire and you would
- 32:42Speaker 12: take over. Jordan Love is young, too, so it was
- 32:45Speaker 12: never going to happen there. So he moved on, and
- 32:47Speaker 12: he went to Miami. We'll see how he does. I
- 32:50Speaker 12: think he gets his first win. They are underdogs in
- 32:52Speaker 12: that one, though. But it might be a good pick
- 32:55Speaker 12: for that one. The Green Bay Fudge Packers going over
- 32:59Speaker 12: to Minnesota to play the newly revamped Kyler Murray and
- 33:05Speaker 12: the Minnesota Vikings. This is going to be... A Barber.
- 33:11Speaker 12: I'm hoping for a tie. I had to pick one
- 33:13Speaker 12: or the other because there's no tie option. I wish
- 33:17Speaker 12: there was because I would take a tie on this one.
- 33:20Speaker 12: But I got Minnesota. I just want to see Green
- 33:22Speaker 12: Bay lose. I want their fans to shut up early
- 33:25Speaker 12: and often. So, yes, I want to see some blood
- 33:30Speaker 12: out of Jordan Love. I don't necessarily want him to
- 33:32Speaker 12: get hurt. I don't wish injuries like that on him,
- 33:36Speaker 12: but I want to see a little bit of blood
- 33:38Speaker 12: on this one. I want to see maybe a little lip, too.
- 33:41Speaker 12: We'll see what happens. But yeah, I got the Vikings
- 33:43Speaker 12: winning that at home. And they are the favorites, which
- 33:46Speaker 12: is funny. It is usually Jordan Love is the favorite,
- 33:49Speaker 12: so what is the ESPN and the NFL trying to
- 33:52Speaker 12: tell us? Also at 325, the Washington Commanders travel to
- 33:58Speaker 12: Philly to play the Eagles. Eagles without A.J. Brown is
- 34:02Speaker 12: very weird. He was a main target for Jalen Hurts,
- 34:08Speaker 12: so We're going to see. I mean, obviously, they still
- 34:11Speaker 12: have Saquon Barkley. That's what they really need on the
- 34:14Speaker 12: run game. But who's the passing game going to be?
- 34:17Speaker 12: I'm a little nervous about this one. So we'll see
- 34:20Speaker 12: what happens. I got Philly winning that one. They were 93%.
- 34:23Speaker 12: I mean, it is Jaden Daniels. He's not what people
- 34:27Speaker 12: thought he would be. So, yeah. All right. And then
- 34:30Speaker 12: we've got the Arizona Cardinals playing against Los Angeles Chargers.
- 34:36Speaker 12: I got my boy Harbaugh. He's going to win that one.
- 34:39Speaker 12: Los Angeles Chargers with the W. Sunday Night Football, the
- 34:43Speaker 12: first one of the season. The Dallas Cowboys traveling to
- 34:48Speaker 12: New York. Now, this game makes me nervous because I
- 34:50Speaker 12: took the Cowboys because the Cowboys are usually good in
- 34:53Speaker 12: the first few weeks of the season. But John Harbaugh
- 34:58Speaker 12: is the coach for the New York Giants. So, I mean,
- 35:03Speaker 12: he led the Ravens to how many years? I mean,
- 35:09Speaker 12: maybe this is the Giants' year to make the playoffs
- 35:13Speaker 12: or win their division. So, yeah, I mean, when you've
- 35:16Speaker 12: got a hardball in there, we don't know what's going
- 35:19Speaker 12: to happen. But it could be Dallas goes 0-1, even
- 35:25Speaker 12: though they are a 75% pick team and they are
- 35:29Speaker 12: the favorites going in. But we'll see what happens. And
- 35:31Speaker 12: then Monday Night Football, the big one, Denver Broncos versus
- 35:36Speaker 12: the Kansas City Chiefs. Who's the starting quarterback Monday? So
- 35:41Speaker 12: as of this recording, I looked it up. Patrick Mahomes
- 35:45Speaker 12: is expected to start for the Kansas City Chiefs. His
- 35:48Speaker 12: ACL tear, is he ready to go? We are going
- 35:52Speaker 12: to find out. And we're going to find out. Write
- 35:57Speaker 12: me out. Because I don't know if he's even ready
- 35:59Speaker 12: to go. But we'll see. But Mahomes is going to go. And,
- 36:03Speaker 12: I mean, they could change it, but the backup is
- 36:06Speaker 12: Justin Fields, so... Yeah, if I'm a Holmes, I'm going
- 36:11Speaker 12: to try to go that day. Because I don't know
- 36:13Speaker 12: about a lot of fields to ever hit the field
- 36:15Speaker 12: unless the team is up by like 30 points and
- 36:18Speaker 12: it's garbage time and he can just keep running. Because,
- 36:21Speaker 12: you know, he played for the Bears. He was a
- 36:23Speaker 12: running quarterback. We'll see what happens. But let's move on.
- 36:27Speaker 12: That is my predictions. We'll see if I'm right or
- 36:29Speaker 12: wrong next week. And then we'll, of course, go over.
- 36:36Speaker 12: Week two. So let's move on to talk about the
- 36:39Speaker 12: Chicago Bears and what I think is going to happen
- 36:42Speaker 12: this year. My predictions for this year is I've got
- 36:48Speaker 12: the Bears winning 13 games. Now, I didn't release my
- 36:54Speaker 12: full I'm going to have to just do that today.
- 36:56Speaker 12: I'm going to have to put the rest on there because,
- 36:59Speaker 12: to be honest, I was doing this daily release thing.
- 37:01Speaker 12: But since you guys aren't going to hear this show anyway,
- 37:04Speaker 12: then I'm going to just put it out there. So
- 37:09Speaker 12: when I did my picks, I should have did a
- 37:13Speaker 12: special show about it, but I didn't. But when I
- 37:16Speaker 12: did my picks, this is how I have the Bears
- 37:20Speaker 12: looking game by game. So we're going to do it here,
- 37:23Speaker 12: and then I'm just going to release the full list
- 37:24Speaker 12: of And maybe I'll go back and I'll just keep
- 37:28Speaker 12: what I got, you know, because people actually did go
- 37:31Speaker 12: on to the videos and like stuff. But I'm trying
- 37:36Speaker 12: to find my notes on here. And I know it's
- 37:40Speaker 12: here somewhere. Hang on. If everybody can hear, I have
- 37:47Speaker 12: a horrible cold last couple of days. But I promised
- 37:50Speaker 12: everybody I was doing this show. And I'm a man
- 37:53Speaker 12: of my word. All right, so let's go over. Let's see.
- 38:03Speaker 12: Where did I put it? It's got to be here, right?
- 38:05Speaker 12: There it is. All right, so week one, everybody heard
- 38:08Speaker 12: I already picked the Bears over the Panthers. Week two,
- 38:11Speaker 12: I've got the Bears beating the Vikings in our first
- 38:14Speaker 12: home game, and that is a noon game, so it's
- 38:17Speaker 12: going to be on a Sunday at noon. I think
- 38:19Speaker 12: that everybody is excited for that. Bears win that game.
- 38:24Speaker 12: Our first primetime game is against the Eagles on a
- 38:29Speaker 12: Monday Night Football on the lakefront in Chicago. Now, I
- 38:32Speaker 12: know we beat the Eagles last year on Black Friday
- 38:35Speaker 12: in Philly, but I couldn't necessarily say that they were
- 38:39Speaker 12: going to do it again. So I ended up taking
- 38:45Speaker 12: the Eagles in this one. I'm hoping I'm wrong on it.
- 38:48Speaker 12: but I think I'm going to be right. I think
- 38:50Speaker 12: the Eagles win that. Bears will be 2-1 at that point,
- 38:52Speaker 12: not too shabby. Next week after that, the Bears in
- 38:55Speaker 12: week four got the Jets, the last home game of
- 38:59Speaker 12: the three, and they're going to take a W there.
- 39:02Speaker 12: Then we travel in week five to the Packers, and
- 39:06Speaker 12: I think that is going to be a win for
- 39:08Speaker 12: us because last year, We won at home and lost there.
- 39:11Speaker 12: I think this year we're going to win there. And
- 39:14Speaker 12: I think we lose on Christmas Day. I'll go over
- 39:17Speaker 12: that in a little bit. And then at the Falcons,
- 39:21Speaker 12: we win again. And at the Patriots, we win. We
- 39:25Speaker 12: also go to Seattle to play the Seahawks. I think
- 39:27Speaker 12: that's an L. I can't, honestly, say I think we're
- 39:30Speaker 12: going to win that game. If I was a homer,
- 39:32Speaker 12: I'd say we go 17-0. But I'm realistic with that.
- 39:36Speaker 12: I don't think we beat the Seahawks now. You never know.
- 39:39Speaker 12: We could beat the defending champions. It could happen. Week 9,
- 39:45Speaker 12: we are at home against the Bucs. And I think
- 39:48Speaker 12: we win that one. Then we have our bye week
- 39:51Speaker 12: at Week 10. Week 11, we play at home. So
- 39:59Speaker 12: our last game before the bye week and our first
- 40:02Speaker 12: game after the bye week, all at home. That is amazing.
- 40:06Speaker 12: That's what you want. No traveling. You're good to go.
- 40:10Speaker 12: You know, that's beautiful. Win against the Saints. We're not
- 40:13Speaker 12: going to lose to the Saints. At the Lions, I
- 40:16Speaker 12: say we're going to beat them in Week 12. Against
- 40:18Speaker 12: the Jaguars, I think that's a W. At the Dolphins,
- 40:22Speaker 12: we're going to beat Malik Willis there. And then we
- 40:25Speaker 12: come home, and we're going to have two losses in
- 40:27Speaker 12: a row. Or no, we're on the road at the Bills.
- 40:32Speaker 12: That game, we lose. Oh, and at the Lions, that's
- 40:37Speaker 12: a Thanksgiving Day game. We lose to the Bills, and
- 40:41Speaker 12: then we lose to the Packers on Christmas Day. Sorry,
- 40:45Speaker 12: but I think we split. I don't think we're going
- 40:47Speaker 12: to take both, and I'm fine with a split. And
- 40:51Speaker 12: then we come home, or we stay home. We play
- 40:54Speaker 12: the Lions at home. We beat them. And then at
- 40:57Speaker 12: the Vikings to end the season, and that's a W.
- 41:01Speaker 12: So I've got the Bears going 13-4. People say they're
- 41:05Speaker 12: going to regress. I don't think they will. I don't
- 41:07Speaker 12: think they're going to regress. I think that they do
- 41:09Speaker 12: just fine, and they end up winning that. Division for
- 41:14Speaker 12: back-to-back seasons. I do believe that the division is going
- 41:20Speaker 12: to go Bears, Lions, Vikings, and the Packers. I think
- 41:28Speaker 12: Packers are going to be in the basement. I think
- 41:30Speaker 12: Jordan Love is not as he's cracked up to be.
- 41:33Speaker 12: He is not Aaron Rodgers. He's not Brett Favre. And
- 41:36Speaker 12: he's not Bart Starr. He's none of them. He's not
- 41:40Speaker 12: that good. And I think he's gotten exposed last year.
- 41:43Speaker 12: I think he's going to get more exposed this year.
- 41:47Speaker 12: I got Caleb throwing over 4,000 yards this year. I've
- 41:51Speaker 12: got Roma Dunzey and Luther Burden both getting over 1,000.
- 41:55Speaker 12: I got Caleb throwing probably about 35 touchdowns this year,
- 42:01Speaker 12: which isn't too bad. I've got Swift going back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
- 42:06Speaker 12: I got Menungai getting close also. I got about maybe...
- 42:09Speaker 12: 600 yards out of, let's say about 800 yards out
- 42:15Speaker 12: of Loveland. I think that he can do that. Man,
- 42:19Speaker 12: look at last year, Colson Loveland had 713 yards and
- 42:23Speaker 12: six touchdowns. So I would say he's going to get
- 42:26Speaker 12: at least 10 touchdowns this year and over 800 yards because,
- 42:30Speaker 12: I mean, come on, he's one of Caleb's favorite. He's
- 42:32Speaker 12: a big target. You know, obviously, Losing D.J. Moore, he had, what,
- 42:38Speaker 12: over 900 yards last year? So, I mean, you've got
- 42:41Speaker 12: to replace those yards somewhere. You're going to spread it
- 42:43Speaker 12: out more to everybody else. But, you know, Luther Byrne
- 42:50Speaker 12: III and Rome are going to get the most catches
- 42:56Speaker 12: out of it, but maybe not. There's been years where
- 42:59Speaker 12: Travis Kelsey was the number one receiver for Mahomes. So
- 43:03Speaker 12: it could happen with a tight end. It doesn't matter
- 43:06Speaker 12: who you throw it to as long as they catch
- 43:08Speaker 12: the ball and get the touchdown. Ben Johnson said on
- 43:14Speaker 12: Monday or Tuesday, he said he wants the mentality of
- 43:20Speaker 12: the offense to go and score on every possession. It
- 43:23Speaker 12: doesn't always have to be a touchdown. It could be
- 43:25Speaker 12: a field goal, but you still got to get down
- 43:27Speaker 12: there to score the points. So if that happens... This
- 43:32Speaker 12: could be the most high-powered offense we've seen in Bears history,
- 43:36Speaker 12: which would be beautiful. And I hope it starts against Carolina.
- 43:39Speaker 12: I would love to see Caleb throw for over 300 yards,
- 43:44Speaker 12: three to four touchdowns, no picks in the game, maybe one,
- 43:48Speaker 12: but I'd like to see him go mistake-free for the
- 43:51Speaker 12: first few games just so that he has a little
- 43:54Speaker 12: wiggle room to have one or two here or there. Obviously,
- 43:59Speaker 12: if he's throwing a lot more, he may throw more picks,
- 44:02Speaker 12: but maybe not. So we'll see what happens. So let's
- 44:06Speaker 12: move on now. We talked about football, and let's see
- 44:11Speaker 12: what we got next. We got the MLB. This could
- 44:14Speaker 12: be the best October. If you're a Chicago sports fan, we,
- 44:18Speaker 12: I believe, are going to have an amazing October here.
- 44:24Speaker 12: We've got the Bears will be in a month into
- 44:27Speaker 12: the season already. Cubs and Sox are fighting right now
- 44:30Speaker 12: and most likely will make it two. I don't know, though.
- 44:35Speaker 12: The Sox are down. This is a Tuesday night recording,
- 44:38Speaker 12: and right now Sox are down 9-1 to Pittsburgh. So
- 44:42Speaker 12: I don't know. And the Milwaukee Brewers and Cubs, the
- 44:45Speaker 12: Cubs have no shot in my mind of winning that
- 44:49Speaker 12: division now. Now it's about securing one of those three
- 44:52Speaker 12: wild card spots. Right now you're at the number two spot.
- 44:54Speaker 12: So as of this recording, And this is during the
- 44:59Speaker 12: Tuesday games. So let's look and see exactly where the
- 45:02Speaker 12: standings are for all the teams and the wild cards.
- 45:05Speaker 12: All right, so as of this recording on Tuesday, oh,
- 45:09Speaker 12: I totally lost track. So October for Chicago is going
- 45:14Speaker 12: to look like this. Bears, a month into the season.
- 45:18Speaker 12: Cubs and Sox, possible playoff for both teams. Blackhawks, Patrick Kane. returning.
- 45:26Speaker 12: I'm going to talk about Patrick Kane and my excitement
- 45:29Speaker 12: next week, because I got to save something for the
- 45:30Speaker 12: second show. Can't do everything in the first one. But yeah,
- 45:34Speaker 12: so we're going to talk about that. And then, of course,
- 45:36Speaker 12: the Chicago Bulls and the number four pick, who I
- 45:39Speaker 12: think should have went number one. I mean, I'm glad
- 45:41Speaker 12: we got him, but I think he could have went
- 45:43Speaker 12: number one. In fact, I put a bet down that
- 45:46Speaker 12: he would go first, because I really thought maybe a
- 45:48Speaker 12: team would take him right away. I was happy with
- 45:51Speaker 12: any of the top four. But I'm very happy with
- 45:54Speaker 12: Caleb Wilson because I believe Caleb Wilson is going to
- 45:57Speaker 12: be the rookie of the year out of those four.
- 46:00Speaker 12: Even though he was the fourth pick, I think he
- 46:04Speaker 12: has the best season. So we'll see what happens there.
- 46:07Speaker 12: All right, so let's look and see where everybody is
- 46:10Speaker 12: in their division. So we'll start with the American League.
- 46:13Speaker 12: In the East, you got Tampa Bay at 85-58. And
- 46:20Speaker 12: they're number one. Behind them is the New York Yankees
- 46:23Speaker 12: at 81-62, four games back in that. There's still a
- 46:27Speaker 12: lot of time left on the season. I mean, you
- 46:30Speaker 12: still got, what, three weeks pretty much? And then you
- 46:33Speaker 12: got Boston at 80-65, six games back. Then you got Toronto, 72-73,
- 46:40Speaker 12: 14 games back. I'm pretty sure they're eliminated. And then,
- 46:45Speaker 12: of course... Or no, they are not eliminated yet, and
- 46:47Speaker 12: neither is Baltimore, who are 70-75. Neither team's eliminated yet,
- 46:52Speaker 12: but they've got to be pretty close. In the American
- 46:56Speaker 12: League West, you've got the Houston Astros at 73-71. They
- 47:00Speaker 12: are in first place, only two games above. 500, which
- 47:03Speaker 12: is crazy. Texas, 71-73, two games under. 500, and two
- 47:06Speaker 12: games behind in the standings for number.
- 47:09Speaker 13: One.
- 47:18Speaker 12: It's crazy. Seattle, 67-77, six games back. They're still in
- 47:22Speaker 12: the thicket. And then Oakland Athletics, 58-87, still not eliminated yet.
- 47:29Speaker 12: They're close, though. They might be. If you're hearing this
- 47:32Speaker 12: on Wednesday and they lost on Tuesday, which is now,
- 47:36Speaker 12: they could be eliminated. And then eliminated already from playoff
- 47:40Speaker 12: contention is the LA Angels. They are 19 games back,
- 47:44Speaker 12: so they're done. And then, of course, in the American
- 47:49Speaker 12: League Central, beautiful. My White Sox, 75-68, three games ahead
- 47:56Speaker 12: of the Cleveland Indians, who are 73-72. Minnesota, 68-76, they're
- 47:58Speaker 12: still in it, seven and a half games back. So
- 48:02Speaker 12: is Detroit, who are 66-78, they're nine and a half back,
- 48:04Speaker 12: and still in it, technically, is Kansas City. Mathematically, they're
- 48:15Speaker 12: still in it, 64-81, 12 games back. But anybody 12
- 48:20Speaker 12: games back right now pretty much is done. So that
- 48:24Speaker 12: is that. Let me look at, I'll do the wild
- 48:26Speaker 12: cards after the NL. So in the NL, in the East,
- 48:30Speaker 12: we've got Atlanta Braves at 85-59, first place. In second place,
- 48:38Speaker 12: four games back, still got time. 81-63 is Philadelphia. Miami
- 48:45Speaker 12: Marlins at 72 and 73. Game under 500 still in it.
- 48:50Speaker 12: 13 and a half games back. This is very strange.
- 48:53Speaker 12: Washington is at 67 and 79. And the Mets are
- 48:59Speaker 12: 66 and 78. Both are 19 games back. That's still
- 49:02Speaker 12: mathematically not out yet. So I don't know if it's
- 49:05Speaker 12: the way it goes with schedules. Must be. But that
- 49:09Speaker 12: could all change as of The recording of this will
- 49:13Speaker 12: be after I'm recording it as the games are going on. So, um,
- 49:18Speaker 12: and then in the national league West, we've got the
- 49:20Speaker 12: LA Dodgers 87 and 57. They are 10 and a
- 49:22Speaker 12: half games ahead of Arizona who are 77 and 68.
- 49:24Speaker 12: San Diego is 11 games back in 76 and 68.
- 49:26Speaker 12: They are 11 games back, still in it. San Francisco, 1685, uh,
- 49:39Speaker 12: They are 27 and a half games back. They are out,
- 49:42Speaker 12: and so is Colorado, who are 55 and 88, 31
- 49:45Speaker 12: and a half games back. So they are out too.
- 49:50Speaker 12: Wild card right now for both leagues. Right now the
- 49:55Speaker 12: Yankees would be the number one wild card spot at
- 50:00Speaker 12: 81 and 62. They're plus nine games. Number two is
- 50:02Speaker 12: Boston at 80 and 65, plus seven games. And the
- 50:09Speaker 12: third wild card right now is Cleveland, who are a
- 50:12Speaker 12: game ahead of Toronto at 73 and 72. The only
- 50:18Speaker 12: team so far eliminated in the American League from the
- 50:21Speaker 12: wild card is the LA Angels. The Athletics, Kansas City, Detroit, Seattle, Minnesota, Baltimore, Texas, Toronto,
- 50:30Speaker 12: all have a shot at one of the three spots.
- 50:33Speaker 12: So we'll see what happens there. And the second in
- 50:38Speaker 12: the National League race, you got Philadelphia, who are 81-63.
- 50:44Speaker 12: They are plus four and a half games over the
- 50:48Speaker 12: team that's out. You've got the Cubs, plus four at 81-64.
- 50:53Speaker 12: And then you've got Arizona right now in that third spot,
- 50:58Speaker 12: a half a game ahead at 77-68. Still in right
- 51:04Speaker 12: now would be San Diego half game back, That's from
- 51:08Speaker 12: the third wild card spot. St. Louis, five games back. Miami,
- 51:15Speaker 12: five and a half. Pittsburgh, five and a half. Cincinnati,
- 51:18Speaker 12: seven and a half. New York Mets, ten. And Washington,
- 51:22Speaker 12: ten and a half. San Francisco and Colorado, done. They
- 51:28Speaker 12: have no shot at the wild card and no shot
- 51:30Speaker 12: at the division. So that is what it looks like
- 51:34Speaker 12: right now as of today. So we will see, you know,
- 51:39Speaker 12: obviously right now certain teams are up. Let's look at
- 51:43Speaker 12: the scoreboard. It's weird because we're recording this on Tuesday,
- 51:47Speaker 12: but it's for Wednesday. So these are the scores as
- 51:50Speaker 12: of this recording. Cubs are tied 1-1 in the top
- 51:54Speaker 12: of the seventh with Milwaukee. Guardians are up 9-5 over
- 51:59Speaker 12: the Orioles. Astros are leading the Phillies, so if the
- 52:04Speaker 12: Cubs can beat the Brewers, you may wake up to
- 52:07Speaker 12: the Cubs being in that number one spot. Phillies are
- 52:10Speaker 12: down 6-4, bottom of the ninth, so they're about to
- 52:13Speaker 12: lose their game. Angels over 6-1 over the Red Sox.
- 52:17Speaker 12: Yankees winning 5-1 over the Rockies. The Tampa Bay Rays
- 52:22Speaker 12: beating the Braves 6-1. Diamondbacks and Royals top of the seventh,
- 52:28Speaker 12: still 0-0. Pirates and the White Sox. Pirates are crushing
- 52:32Speaker 12: the Sox at home 9-2. And then, of course, later
- 52:36Speaker 12: on in the nighttime, there's a few other games. But, yeah,
- 52:40Speaker 12: so we'll see what happens. We're going to see. It's
- 52:42Speaker 12: going to be a tight race every week. Now we're
- 52:44Speaker 12: going to update the standings and let everybody know who's eliminated.
- 52:49Speaker 12: I guarantee there's going to be some eliminations by the
- 52:51Speaker 12: end of this weekend of teams that have no shot
- 52:54Speaker 12: at the wild card and no shot at the divisions.
- 53:01Speaker 12: So we will see. All right, let's talk a little
- 53:03Speaker 12: NASCAR news. NASCAR is already in their playoffs too, which
- 53:09Speaker 12: is crazy. So let's see NASCAR playoff standings as of
- 53:15Speaker 12: the first week of it. So right now, out of
- 53:20Speaker 12: the 16 who are in it, this is so weird.
- 53:32Speaker 12: Let's go over the top ones. Okay, so we've got
- 53:39Speaker 12: Aligar winning 21-35. Oh, no, that's not that. Hold on.
- 53:44Speaker 12: We need the Cup Series. Okay, here we go. This
- 53:46Speaker 12: looks better. Okay, because we don't really care about the
- 53:49Speaker 12: other one. At number 16 is William Byron. He's last.
- 53:55Speaker 12: So now playoffs have changed since the last time we
- 53:58Speaker 12: did this show. We ended this show, I think it
- 54:00Speaker 12: was February. February. of last year, or of this year.
- 54:05Speaker 12: We ended in February, and the NASCAR races were done.
- 54:11Speaker 12: As of this year, the playoffs changed. It was no
- 54:14Speaker 12: more win and you're in. It was all based on points,
- 54:18Speaker 12: and the top 16 make it. Now, here's the difference
- 54:21Speaker 12: in the playoffs for the NASCAR fans who don't know,
- 54:24Speaker 12: or people who don't know. Basically, what happens now is
- 54:28Speaker 12: we have, everybody starts with like I think it's 2,000 points.
- 54:33Speaker 12: I think everybody started with 2,000 points. And where you
- 54:38Speaker 12: finish is how many points you get. That's why right
- 54:41Speaker 12: now William Byron is at 2,021 because you get points
- 54:47Speaker 12: based on where you finish out of the 16 guys
- 54:50Speaker 12: that are left. Now, there is no eliminations anymore. It
- 54:54Speaker 12: will go to the last race. Everybody is in it
- 54:58Speaker 12: until the last race. everybody has a shot at winning
- 55:03Speaker 12: that last race. So, just depends on where you finish.
- 55:08Speaker 12: Number 15, Ryan Preece, 2031. Austin Sindrick at 14, 2033.
- 55:11Speaker 12: See how this goes up. Daniel Suarez, 2041 at number 13.
- 55:15Speaker 12: Number 12 is Carson Hosovar at 2046. Buscher is at
- 55:19Speaker 12: number 11 at 2047. Bubba Wallace Jr. is at 2054
- 55:32Speaker 12: at number 10. Joey Logano is number 9 at 2063 points.
- 55:39Speaker 12: Chase Elliott is also number 8 at 2063 points. Kyle
- 55:41Speaker 12: Larson number 7 at 2086. Gibbs is at number 6
- 55:44Speaker 12: at 2096. Chase Briscoe is number five at 2,098. Tyler Riddick,
- 56:07Speaker 12: my guy, that's a dude I love to watch, he's
- 56:09Speaker 12: number four at 2,111 points. Number three is Ryan Blaney
- 56:18Speaker 12: at 2,119. Christopher Bell, who I believe won the match.
- 56:22Speaker 12: I thought he won, so how did he end up winning?
- 56:25Speaker 12: Number two, it's weird. Oh, don't forget, it also goes
- 56:28Speaker 12: by points that you get during the stages. So whoever
- 56:33Speaker 12: finishes in the stage, they get points for if they
- 56:37Speaker 12: finish ahead of the other guys. So that's probably how, uh,
- 56:41Speaker 12: Denny Hamlin's at number one at 2,135 at Christopher Bell
- 56:46Speaker 12: is number two at 2,123. So crazy. We'll update that
- 56:54Speaker 12: every week too, until November when we get to the final,
- 56:56Speaker 12: because I know there's people out there who love NASCAR.
- 57:00Speaker 12: All right, so for the WWE fans out there, we
- 57:03Speaker 12: got Money in the Bank coming up in October, but
- 57:06Speaker 12: we had a mini pay-per-view on Sunday night called Sunday
- 57:11Speaker 12: Night's Main Event. Not Saturday Night's Main Event. It was
- 57:13Speaker 12: a Sunday Night Main Event. We had four matches. Well,
- 57:16Speaker 12: five technically. Six, if you count the dark match that
- 57:20Speaker 12: was on the pre-show. It wasn't on. I don't know
- 57:23Speaker 12: if it was televised or not. I turned it on
- 57:26Speaker 12: really close to when that started. I think if you
- 57:28Speaker 12: were on their YouTube, you got to see it. And then,
- 57:31Speaker 12: so here, let's talk about this. So Dominic Mysterio and
- 57:35Speaker 12: the pre-show defeated Joe Hendry. Quavo opened up the show
- 57:42Speaker 12: because he's from Atlanta. He did his song called Backwards.
- 57:46Speaker 12: And then Baron Corbin opened the show facing Lil Yachty,
- 57:51Speaker 12: the rapper. The stipulation was Lil Yachty had to last
- 57:56Speaker 12: five minutes in the ring with Baron Corbin. That includes
- 58:00Speaker 12: if he pins him. So if Little Yachty would have
- 58:03Speaker 12: pinned him in that five minutes, he still would have won.
- 58:07Speaker 12: The rule, though, stipulation was if Little Yachty could go
- 58:10Speaker 12: five minutes in the ring with Baron Corbin, Trick Williams,
- 58:15Speaker 12: and I didn't know this. I thought it was at
- 58:18Speaker 12: the next pay-per-view or on a Raw or a SmackDown episode.
- 58:22Speaker 12: The rule was he got to face him that night.
- 58:25Speaker 12: Trick Williams got another shot at his U.S. title. So,
- 58:29Speaker 12: of course, Little Yachty survived. He made it to five minutes.
- 58:34Speaker 12: Baron Corbin had him a few times and didn't pin him.
- 58:37Speaker 12: He wanted to toy with him. Well, he toyed with
- 58:40Speaker 12: him a little too much, and Little Yachty was able
- 58:43Speaker 12: to make his testicular areas go onto the ropes. And
- 58:50Speaker 12: that was it. It was a very entertaining five-minute match.
- 58:55Speaker 12: After that, Trick Williams comes down. They put on a
- 58:58Speaker 12: little good show for the fans. Trick Williams wins his
- 59:02Speaker 12: second time as United States champion. So that was really cool.
- 59:06Speaker 12: Next match was Obafemi defeating Braun Breaker via disqualification. I
- 59:12Speaker 12: knew this was going to happen. I figured that the
- 59:15Speaker 12: vision was going to come down to either fear. But
- 59:18Speaker 12: I was not expecting Bronson Reed to make his return
- 59:23Speaker 12: on Sunday night. And he did. And he decimated Obafemi.
- 59:27Speaker 12: With Tsunami after Tsunami, it was great. Braun Breaker hit
- 59:31Speaker 12: him with a couple of spears and stuff. It was
- 59:35Speaker 12: a good way to end the match because it made
- 59:37Speaker 12: both guys look pretty strong. Neither guy took the pin.
- 59:40Speaker 12: It was a disqualification. It was cheating by Braun Breaker, which,
- 59:45Speaker 12: I mean, that's what heels do, right? Heel factions, they
- 59:48Speaker 12: cheat to win, especially against guys that they feel like
- 59:53Speaker 12: they're struggling against to beat. So, yeah, it happened. But
- 59:56Speaker 12: it was good. I liked it. And then, of course,
- 1:00:00Speaker 12: we had the six-woman match. B-Fab, Jade Cargill, and Mitchin
- 1:00:06Speaker 12: defeated Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, and Tatum Paxley. It was
- 1:00:11Speaker 12: a good match. I liked it. It was decent. And then,
- 1:00:16Speaker 12: of course, we had the big main event that everybody's
- 1:00:18Speaker 12: been waiting for. Randy Orton defeated Cody Rhodes. It was
- 1:00:22Speaker 12: a good match. Cody had a chance to turn heel.
- 1:00:27Speaker 12: Randy begged for him to stop. He did the babyface
- 1:00:30Speaker 12: thing where he didn't want to beat up his friend
- 1:00:33Speaker 12: and turn on his friend. So he ended up staying
- 1:00:36Speaker 12: a good guy. Randy Orton took advantage and won the match.
- 1:00:39Speaker 12: Good match all around. I knew Cody wasn't going to
- 1:00:42Speaker 12: do it, but I was kind of hoping he would.
- 1:00:44Speaker 12: But he didn't, and he ended up winning. So not bad.
- 1:00:48Speaker 12: Not bad at all. I enjoyed it. Then Raw was
- 1:00:52Speaker 12: the next night. Let's see, WWE Raw results. We had
- 1:01:02Speaker 12: a car catch on fire. That's pretty cool. Women's World
- 1:01:06Speaker 12: Championship match. Oh, we had Otis defeat Austin Theory, which
- 1:01:14Speaker 12: was cool seeing Otis come back. Joe Hendry defeated JD McDonough,
- 1:01:19Speaker 12: and he made a song about JD's big head and
- 1:01:21Speaker 12: that his dad was a Funko Pop. That was funny.
- 1:01:24Speaker 12: If you have a chance, watch that on YouTube. Women's
- 1:01:27Speaker 12: Money in the Bank qualifier Sol Ruka defeated Maxine Dupree
- 1:01:32Speaker 12: and Laila Vakiria. Laila Vakiria almost won until we saw
- 1:01:38Speaker 12: the return of beautiful Bayley. I love Bayley. One of
- 1:01:42Speaker 12: my favorite wrestlers. And she came back and she interfered.
- 1:01:47Speaker 12: Sol Ruka gets the win. Men's Money in the Bank
- 1:01:50Speaker 12: qualifier Bron Breaker defeated Ethan Page and Rey Mysterio. The
- 1:01:58Speaker 12: Bloodline got their car set on fire by 9-4-6. And
- 1:02:06Speaker 12: Bronson Reed and them beat down on Ola Femi again.
- 1:02:14Speaker 12: Which is good because when Ola Femi does get the win,
- 1:02:19Speaker 12: it's going to be great. It's going to be awesome.
- 1:02:22Speaker 12: Women's World Championship match was the main event last night.
- 1:02:26Speaker 12: Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vakir. Vakir had, obviously, it was one-on-three.
- 1:02:35Speaker 12: Roxanne Perez threw the belt in the ring. And then
- 1:02:39Speaker 12: there was a distraction from, what was her name, Raquel Rodriguez. So,
- 1:02:44Speaker 12: I mean, it was like a whole big mess. Becky
- 1:02:47Speaker 12: Lynch came down to try to help out Stephanie, but
- 1:02:51Speaker 12: She kind of got in the way. So it's a
- 1:02:53Speaker 12: really good storyline right now. I think it's definitely leading
- 1:02:57Speaker 12: to a triple threat match. I think we're going to
- 1:02:59Speaker 12: get a Becky-Liv Morgan singles match. I think that Stephanie
- 1:03:03Speaker 12: is going to come out to help her. And then
- 1:03:05Speaker 12: it's going to turn into a three-way match eventually. Maybe
- 1:03:09Speaker 12: at Money in the Bank. Because we've still got a
- 1:03:12Speaker 12: few weeks. It's not until October 10th. So we've still
- 1:03:14Speaker 12: got a good couple of weeks until then. So we'll
- 1:03:16Speaker 12: see what happens. But yeah, so a very, very good start.
- 1:03:22Speaker 12: We are going to go into a song by Dolly Parton.
- 1:03:26Speaker 12: I'm going to take a few minutes to get ready
- 1:03:28Speaker 12: for my entertainment section. And we are going to be
- 1:03:31Speaker 12: back in less than three minutes. So make sure that
- 1:03:34Speaker 12: you stay right here and enjoy this song. This is
- 1:03:37Speaker 12: the beautiful Dolly Parton with Jolene right here on the
- 1:03:42Speaker 12: Robbie G Podcast. Enjoy.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene I'm begging of you please don't
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: take my man.
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: Jolene, Jolene, Jolene.
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: Jolene Please don't take him just because you can Your
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: beauty is beyond compare With flaming locks of auburn hair
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green.
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: Your smile is like.
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: A breath of spring Your voice is soft like summer
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: rain And I cannot compete.
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: With you, Jolene.
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: He talks about you in his sleep, and there's nothing
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: I can do to keep from crying when he.
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: Calls your name Jolene.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: And I can easily understand how you could easily take
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: my man, but you don't know what.
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: He means to me, Jolene. Jolene, Jolene.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: I'm begging of you, please don't take my man.
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: Jolene, Jolene, Jolene.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: Jolene Please don't take him just cause you can You
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: could have your choice of man But I could never
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: love again He's the only one for me, Jolene.
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: I had to have this talk with you.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: My happiness depends on you And whatever you decide.
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: To do, Jolene Jolene, Jolene, Jolene.
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: Jolene I'm begging of you, please don't take my man.
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: Jolene, Jolene, Jolene.
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: Jolene Please don't take it even though you can Jolene.
- 1:06:15Speaker 10: Jolene.
- 1:06:22Speaker 12: The amazing Dolly Parton with Jolene. Right here on the
- 1:06:26Speaker 12: Robbie G Podcast. We are here for the entertainment section now.
- 1:06:29Speaker 12: So if you're just here to hear the sports, well,
- 1:06:32Speaker 12: it's over. Sports is done. Come back next week when
- 1:06:35Speaker 12: we talk sports again. Now we got some entertainment news
- 1:06:37Speaker 12: to go over. We lost a lot of celebrities. I've
- 1:06:42Speaker 12: been off this show since I think in early February.
- 1:06:45Speaker 12: I think it was like right after the Super Bowl
- 1:06:48Speaker 12: I ended. And, oh, my gosh, we've lost so many
- 1:06:51Speaker 12: just in the last couple of months in the summer.
- 1:06:53Speaker 12: So I'm going to go over a list of them.
- 1:06:55Speaker 12: There's like 201 of them. I'm not going to go
- 1:06:57Speaker 12: over every single one. So if I missed one you like,
- 1:06:59Speaker 12: it probably wasn't a huge one. They were just special
- 1:07:03Speaker 12: to you. But we'll start it off with this one
- 1:07:06Speaker 12: was very recent. In fact, I think it was like
- 1:07:08Speaker 12: two days ago. What's today's date? The 8th? It'll be
- 1:07:11Speaker 12: the 9th. September 5th, we lost musician and pro wrestler
- 1:07:18Speaker 12: Andy Williams, better known as The Butcher. He wrestled at AEW.
- 1:07:23Speaker 12: He was also in a metal band called Every Time
- 1:07:26Speaker 12: I Die and Atomic Rule. So he passed away. We
- 1:07:30Speaker 12: also lost Gloria Statham. She died September 2nd at the
- 1:07:37Speaker 12: age of 92. She was an activist. Let's see. Who
- 1:07:43Speaker 12: else did we lose? I'm only doing the really big
- 1:07:45Speaker 12: ones that I've heard of or that I think everybody knows.
- 1:07:50Speaker 12: Just because, you know. Carla Jeffrey. She was best known
- 1:07:56Speaker 12: for Zombies franchise. She was in the Zombies movies and stuff.
- 1:08:01Speaker 12: She passed away a couple weeks ago. Peter Cullen, the
- 1:08:05Speaker 12: voice of Optimus Prime in Transformers. That stinks because I
- 1:08:09Speaker 12: was a kid. watching Transformers, and wow. Tim Curry, one
- 1:08:14Speaker 12: of my favorites. Rocky Horror Picture Show, he was in
- 1:08:17Speaker 12: Home Alone 2. He's been in just a bunch of stuff.
- 1:08:22Speaker 12: Amazing guy. Did he play? No, he didn't play in
- 1:08:29Speaker 12: the movie It, right? No, he didn't play It. I
- 1:08:32Speaker 12: don't think. He's not showing up for that. So, yeah.
- 1:08:36Speaker 12: But yeah, that's sad. Dolly Parton, who we just heard
- 1:08:38Speaker 12: and we're going to hear one more time at the
- 1:08:40Speaker 12: end of the show. She died August 25th at the
- 1:08:43Speaker 12: age of 80. Me and my wife, my mother-in-law, we
- 1:08:46Speaker 12: all cried. It was sad. Dolly was an amazing person. Dolly,
- 1:08:51Speaker 12: we've been to Dollywood. Seeing the happiness there was amazing.
- 1:08:58Speaker 12: We love Dolly Parton and this house. So, yeah. Here's
- 1:09:01Speaker 12: another one that was near and dear to me. Shelly Fabers.
- 1:09:04Speaker 12: She played in the show Coach. She was Coach's girlfriend
- 1:09:08Speaker 12: and wife. And then the Donna Reed show. She died
- 1:09:11Speaker 12: at the age of 82. Let's see. I don't remember
- 1:09:18Speaker 12: this lady being on Everybody Loves Raymond, but she was.
- 1:09:25Speaker 12: Her name was Bunny Levine, but I don't remember her
- 1:09:28Speaker 12: in Everybody Loves Raymond, so she must not have had
- 1:09:31Speaker 12: a big role. That's sad, too. Michael Wright. He was
- 1:09:35Speaker 12: an actor in the movie The Five Heartbeats. He's been
- 1:09:40Speaker 12: in the show Oz. He was in Miami Vice, just
- 1:09:45Speaker 12: like a bunch of stuff. He was 70 years old.
- 1:09:47Speaker 12: He passed away. Hayden Panettiere, everybody knew who she was.
- 1:09:51Speaker 12: She was a big child star. She was in the
- 1:09:54Speaker 12: Scream movies. Really sad. She was another good actress. Let's see.
- 1:10:02Speaker 12: I'm not going to talk about him. Don't really know
- 1:10:06Speaker 12: who this guy is. Can't go over everybody because it
- 1:10:10Speaker 12: would take forever. I'm just trying to find the biggest ones. Because,
- 1:10:15Speaker 12: I mean, stars die every day, but not everybody knows
- 1:10:18Speaker 12: who all of them are. Vincent Pastore, he was one
- 1:10:21Speaker 12: of my favorites. He was from Goodfellas, New Jack City,
- 1:10:25Speaker 12: The Sopranos. He was 80 years old, passed away, was
- 1:10:32Speaker 12: found dead on August 1st. So we're already in August.
- 1:10:37Speaker 12: Let's go through a couple more.
- 1:10:38Speaker 10: Hmm.
- 1:10:43Speaker 12: I'm just trying to find Brenda Fricker. She was on
- 1:10:46Speaker 12: Home Alone 2 also. She was the bird lady. She
- 1:10:49Speaker 12: also had movies like My Left Foot. She was in
- 1:10:56Speaker 12: a bunch of other movies that you would know from
- 1:10:58Speaker 12: way back in the day. Let's see. Oh, I didn't
- 1:11:07Speaker 12: even know this one died. Hal Williams. He was on
- 1:11:10Speaker 12: the show 227. He also played Officer Smitty Smith on
- 1:11:15Speaker 12: San Francisco Sun. So, yeah, I didn't even know. Sam
- 1:11:19Speaker 12: Neill passed away from Jurassic Park. Let's see. Jaden Adams
- 1:11:26Speaker 12: was a soccer player. He died at the age of, whoa, 25. Yikes.
- 1:11:30Speaker 12: Let's see. Well, we're going to go over this list
- 1:11:38Speaker 12: plus everybody else. Bonnie Tyler died. she passed away. Um,
- 1:11:43Speaker 12: but yeah, we're going to go over this list. Um,
- 1:11:46Speaker 12: James Van Der Beek was on here too. Uh, we're
- 1:11:49Speaker 12: going to go over at the end of the year.
- 1:11:50Speaker 12: We're going to do the year end. Uh, here's Clive Davis.
- 1:11:54Speaker 12: I'm looking through still while I'm talking, but, um, we're
- 1:11:57Speaker 12: going to go over it more at the end of
- 1:11:59Speaker 12: the year when we could go through the whole list,
- 1:12:02Speaker 12: which will take a long time because it's at 201
- 1:12:05Speaker 12: right now. I'm But we can go through each one. Um... Oh,
- 1:12:14Speaker 12: the mom from Elf died. That's sad, too. Let's see.
- 1:12:23Speaker 12: Oliver Tree. Yeah, that's crazy how many of them died
- 1:12:28Speaker 12: this year. It's nuts.
- 1:12:30Speaker 10: Um.
- 1:12:31Speaker 12: But some of the major ones, I mean, I've already
- 1:12:33Speaker 12: went over a lot of your major ones that passed away.
- 1:12:36Speaker 12: It's sad.
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: Um.
- 1:12:40Speaker 12: Who else? Eric Dane. James Van Der Beek. Catherine O'Hara.
- 1:12:47Speaker 12: I think I talked about her, though, because that was
- 1:12:49Speaker 12: in January. And I was still doing shows then. So, yeah,
- 1:12:53Speaker 12: we talked about that. But it's just really sad. We're
- 1:12:56Speaker 12: going to go over this list again at the end
- 1:12:57Speaker 12: of the year for the year-end review show. We'll do, like,
- 1:13:00Speaker 12: a little in memoriam. And we'll go one by one and,
- 1:13:04Speaker 12: you know, say who died. I'll probably do like I
- 1:13:07Speaker 12: just did now, though, because I'm not going to do
- 1:13:08Speaker 12: every single person. because it's going to take forever, so
- 1:13:11Speaker 12: we won't do that. But yeah, that's really sad. Rest
- 1:13:13Speaker 12: in peace to everybody that passed away, but especially Dolly Parton.
- 1:13:18Speaker 12: That one really hurt. That was a bad one. Yeah,
- 1:13:23Speaker 12: so let's move on to a little more entertainment news.
- 1:13:27Speaker 12: All right, right now we're going to go over the
- 1:13:29Speaker 12: Emmy Award nominations, because the Emmy Awards are this Monday,
- 1:13:33Speaker 12: September 14th, in downtown Los Angeles. It's going to air
- 1:13:36Speaker 12: on NBC and stream on Peacock. And it is going
- 1:13:39Speaker 12: to be hosted by one of my favorite actresses of
- 1:13:42Speaker 12: all time, Mariska Harnike from Law & Order SVU. I'm
- 1:13:47Speaker 12: excited that she's in it and she's going to be
- 1:13:49Speaker 12: the host. But let's look at the full list of
- 1:13:53Speaker 12: nominees for this year. And then next week, of course,
- 1:13:55Speaker 12: we'll go over all the winners. Here's the list of nominees.
- 1:13:59Speaker 12: Outstanding Comedy Series, Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hex, Margot's Got Money, Troubles,
- 1:14:06Speaker 12: Nobody Wants This, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking, and
- 1:14:11Speaker 12: Widow's Bay. I'm not going to go over who I
- 1:14:14Speaker 12: think is going to win because I don't watch enough
- 1:14:15Speaker 12: of these shows for that. So I don't know who
- 1:14:19Speaker 12: actually is going to win it. We'll have to see.
- 1:14:22Speaker 12: Outstanding Drama Series, The Diplomat, The Gilded Age, A Night
- 1:14:28Speaker 12: of the Seven Kingdoms, Paradise, The Pit. I'm going to
- 1:14:31Speaker 12: go with The Pit on that one because I know
- 1:14:34Speaker 12: The Pit. I've seen it. It's a good show with
- 1:14:36Speaker 12: Noah Wiley. So I'm definitely taking The Pit. Pluribus, Slow Horses,
- 1:14:41Speaker 12: and Your Friends and Neighbors. Outstanding limited or anthology series,
- 1:14:48Speaker 12: All Her Fault, The Beast and Me, Beef, DTF, St. Louis,
- 1:14:55Speaker 12: Love Story, John F. Kennedy Jr., and Caroline Bessette. Let's see.
- 1:15:00Speaker 12: Outstanding reality competition program. Nominees are going to be Dancing
- 1:15:05Speaker 12: with the Stars, RuPaul's Drag Race, Survivor, Top Chef, or Traitors.
- 1:15:12Speaker 12: That's a little rough there. Outstanding Variety Series, The Daily Show,
- 1:15:16Speaker 12: Jimmy Kimmel Live, Last Week, Tonight with John Oliver, The
- 1:15:22Speaker 12: Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Saturday Night Live. Now,
- 1:15:26Speaker 12: Jimmy Fallon is missing from this list. Makes me kind
- 1:15:29Speaker 12: of mad. I think they're going to go with Colbert, though.
- 1:15:31Speaker 12: because he just finished his show, or Jimmy Kimmel. It
- 1:15:35Speaker 12: could be The Daily Show, though. Jon Stewart is funny
- 1:15:37Speaker 12: on that. Outstanding directing for a comedy series. Abbott Elementary, ballgame.
- 1:15:44Speaker 12: The Bear, bears. The Chair Company, life goes by too
- 1:15:50Speaker 12: effing fast. It does really. It really does. Hacks, Hacks Finale.
- 1:15:55Speaker 12: The Miss Pat Show, give it a rest. Widow's Bay,
- 1:15:59Speaker 12: welcome to Widow's Bay. We'll see who wins that one.
- 1:16:03Speaker 12: Outstanding directing for a drama series. The Gilded Age. Paradise.
- 1:16:08Speaker 12: The Pit. Pluribus. Slow Horses. And it looks like a
- 1:16:16Speaker 12: show called Task. Let's see. What is this? DTF? What
- 1:16:25Speaker 12: is this? Pretty crazy. I'm trying to go through like...
- 1:16:31Speaker 12: Just the big ones. We'll go through the whole list.
- 1:16:33Speaker 12: I'm not going to go through all these tonight. Let's see.
- 1:16:41Speaker 12: Outstanding Lead Actor in Comedy. I like this one. Yadah
- 1:16:45Speaker 12: Abdul-Mateen II for Wonder Man. Steve Carell, Rooster. Matthew Riz
- 1:16:53Speaker 12: for Widow's Bay. Jason Segal from Shrinking. And Martin Short
- 1:16:58Speaker 12: for Only Murders in the Building. Outstanding lead actor in
- 1:17:02Speaker 12: a drama series. Sterling K. Brown. I love that dude
- 1:17:05Speaker 12: from This Is Us. For Paradise. Gary Oldman for Slow Horses.
- 1:17:10Speaker 12: Mark Ruffalo for Task. Rufus Sowell for The Diplomat. And
- 1:17:15Speaker 12: Noah Wiley for The Pit. I think it's either going
- 1:17:16Speaker 12: to be Sterling K. Brown or Noah Wiley. I'm going
- 1:17:25Speaker 12: to go over this one. Here's lead actress in a
- 1:17:30Speaker 12: comedy series. Quinta Brunson for Abbott Elementary, Ayo Abri from
- 1:17:36Speaker 12: The Bear, Ella Fanning from Margo's Got Money Troubles, Lisa
- 1:17:42Speaker 12: Kudrow for The Comeback, and Jean Smart for Hex. Outstanding
- 1:17:47Speaker 12: Lead Actress in a Drama, we've got Carrie Coon from
- 1:17:51Speaker 12: The Gilded Age, Chase Infinity from The Testament, Carrie Russell,
- 1:17:55Speaker 12: The Diplomat, Rhea Sehorne from Pliberous, and Zendaya from Euphoria.
- 1:18:03Speaker 12: Let's see. Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology
- 1:18:07Speaker 12: Series or Movie, Claire Danes, The Beast and Me, Sally Field,
- 1:18:12Speaker 12: Remarkably Bright Creatures, Carrie Mulligan for Beef, Sarah Pidgeon from
- 1:18:19Speaker 12: Love Story, John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carol Bessett, and
- 1:18:22Speaker 12: Sarah Snook from All Her Fault. And that's all we're
- 1:18:28Speaker 12: going to have over tonight. I will go after, I
- 1:18:31Speaker 12: will go to the full list next Wednesday, or next
- 1:18:35Speaker 12: Thursday for Thursday's show. And we'll talk about everybody that
- 1:18:38Speaker 12: won it, just because half of you guys probably don't
- 1:18:42Speaker 12: even know who half of these people are. So we'll
- 1:18:44Speaker 12: just go over the winners next week. So that's like
- 1:18:48Speaker 12: the gist of it. pretty much. We're going to end
- 1:18:52Speaker 12: the show with box office movies and see who's– we
- 1:18:55Speaker 12: haven't done this in like months. So basically we're going
