- 0:08Speaker 1: This is the Sean O'Connell Show, your home of the
- 0:12Speaker 1: best inside of your utes. Let's get back to OC
- 0:15Speaker 1: from the Murdoch Chevrolet studio of ESPN 792.1 FM.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Hour number three here on the Sean O'Connell Show. And
- 0:29Speaker 2: on Wednesdays, we welcome in Adrian Denny, brought to you
- 0:32Speaker 2: by Aladdin Industries and Valley Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling for
- 0:35Speaker 2: Between the Pipes. Our Utah Mammoth Insider here with us
- 0:39Speaker 2: in studio once again.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Hi, Adrian. What's up, brother?
- 0:42Speaker 1: How's it going?
- 0:43Speaker 3: You know, I'm great. Having a good time.
- 0:45Speaker 2: We've got a massive football game this weekend at our
- 0:51Speaker 2: respective alma mater.
- 0:52Speaker 3: You are also a Ute.
- 0:54Speaker 4: I am, and I was on the field at Rice
- 0:56Speaker 4: Eccles Stadium last night. We had a mixer with our
- 1:01Speaker 4: season ticket members. And so, yeah, we're on the field.
- 1:05Speaker 4: We had autographs being signed afterwards. Of course, Mike Fulton
- 1:09Speaker 4: and I kind of snuck away and attempted some field goals,
- 1:12Speaker 4: which my kick almost hit our guy who was shooting
- 1:19Speaker 4: it on the iPhone. So that's, that's, that was what
- 1:23Speaker 4: I'm going to be doing on mammoth daily tomorrow is
- 1:26Speaker 4: kicking a football at a camera. but Mike was able
- 1:29Speaker 4: to successfully execute an extra point that I held.
- 1:33Speaker 3: I held, I spun. Oh, for real laces out.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Laces. Well done.
- 1:37Speaker 4: So you'll, you'll see me take about an extra five
- 1:40Speaker 4: seconds because I'm so focused on getting the laces in
- 1:43Speaker 4: the proper spot, but yeah, Bryce Eccles, it was, it
- 1:46Speaker 4: was fun being on the field with, with a big
- 1:49Speaker 4: game coming up on Saturday and, uh, the.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Winter classic coming to Rice Eccles stadium on new year's Eve,
- 1:55Speaker 2: which is going to be a blast.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:57Speaker 4: So, uh, Yeah, great to have our season ticket members
- 2:00Speaker 4: up there, but a lot of winter classic chatter, a
- 2:03Speaker 4: lot of football chatter. There's some good crossover with Ute
- 2:07Speaker 4: football fans and Mammoth Nation. You know how I am, OC,
- 2:14Speaker 4: talking Utes football. I can get a little passionate.
- 2:19Speaker 2: How do we make arrangements so that when you see
- 2:21Speaker 2: the Utah Mammoth winter classic sweaters, I know you're sworn
- 2:28Speaker 2: to secrecy on these types of things and the City
- 2:30Speaker 2: Connect type ones that they're doing now.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Have you already seen those?
- 2:33Speaker 1: Nope.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Have not. Just saw the teaser. I'm looking in his eyes, people.
- 2:39Speaker 3: I have not. I believe.
- 2:41Speaker 4: I will be honest with you. There are things that
- 2:45Speaker 4: I will hear about in advance.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Before it's public. It's usually.
- 2:52Speaker 4: on the hockey side, like, like a lineup thing for,
- 2:56Speaker 4: for that night or something that that's coming or something
- 2:59Speaker 4: to watch for, uh, from, from a Jersey standpoint, from
- 3:03Speaker 4: a major team standpoint, uh, do not usually, uh, see
- 3:10Speaker 4: it before I'm on the treadmill or I'm on the
- 3:13Speaker 4: elliptical and the, uh, team alert comes in on Twitter. Cause,
- 3:16Speaker 4: cause folks, folks are asking us about that last night
- 3:20Speaker 4: at the mixer. And I'm like, You know, you guys
- 3:24Speaker 4: all hear mammoth daily, right? Like, do you know how
- 3:26Speaker 4: many mornings I wake up after doing a mammoth daily episode?
- 3:31Speaker 4: I'm like, yeah, I wonder if I should have said,
- 3:33Speaker 4: should we have really touched that? Like you've heard the podcast,
- 3:38Speaker 4: you know, people are the corporate public relations is probably
- 3:44Speaker 4: not going to be slipping anything to us that they
- 3:46Speaker 4: don't want out.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Yeah. Fair enough.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Let's talk a little hockey here. Utah mammoth improved to
- 3:51Speaker 2: seven and three. They're now three and one at home, five,
- 3:54Speaker 2: four victory over the Pittsburgh penguins.
- 3:56Speaker 3: The other night we had a blast. I went, I
- 4:00Speaker 3: attended as a fan, brought the whole family.
- 4:02Speaker 2: We were coming down the Canyon from family pictures. Everyone
- 4:07Speaker 2: dressed in their finest ended up at the mammoth game
- 4:10Speaker 2: and the kids were spilling popcorn and screaming for the mammoth.
- 4:13Speaker 2: It was It was a blast, and a high-scoring game
- 4:15Speaker 2: like that gives the kids something to look at. Probably
- 4:19Speaker 2: a little bit higher scoring on the Penguins' side than
- 4:22Speaker 2: the Mammoth we're comfortable with, but I think pretty important here.
- 4:25Speaker 2: We talked all last season about not having great options
- 4:32Speaker 2: behind Karel Vemelka and Sebastian Kosa in this one. He
- 4:37Speaker 2: did enough, including a game-saving save. There would have been
- 4:41Speaker 2: a cooler way to say that. a game saving stop
- 4:45Speaker 2: with like one second left.
- 4:47Speaker 3: With Sidney Crosby, like two feet away from it.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:51Speaker 3: So key save at a key moment.
- 4:54Speaker 4: And he's now two and one as part of the
- 4:57Speaker 4: team's seven and three stars. So that's, that's the big
- 5:00Speaker 4: thing there that, you know, the challenging part for mammoth
- 5:02Speaker 4: goaltending right now is actually pretty good for the rest
- 5:06Speaker 4: of the team, but they're leading the NHL and shots
- 5:09Speaker 4: allowed like Pittsburgh at 19 shots on Monday. Sebastian Coase's
- 5:14Speaker 4: first NHL start in Columbus on October 3rd, he saw
- 5:17Speaker 4: 18 shots. So mammoth goaltending has not seen a lot
- 5:22Speaker 4: of shots. They're averaging just averaging just over 20 a game,
- 5:24Speaker 4: but there were spurts in that Pittsburgh game of eight
- 5:28Speaker 4: plus minutes in each period where the Penguins did not
- 5:31Speaker 4: have a shot on goal. And so for the goalie, he's,
- 5:35Speaker 4: he's down there just, you know, um, humming and talking
- 5:39Speaker 4: to himself and singing songs.
- 5:41Speaker 3: And then he got Nate Schmidt, um, uh, one of.
- 5:44Speaker 4: The defensemen who's always going to, you know, be talking
- 5:47Speaker 4: to him, trying to keep him in the game and, and,
- 5:50Speaker 4: and that stuff. But when you don't see a lot
- 5:51Speaker 4: of rubber and then all of a sudden you're shorthanded
- 5:55Speaker 4: or you have Sidney Crosby coming straight at you, it's you're,
- 5:59Speaker 4: you're just not quite in the groove. So that's one
- 6:02Speaker 4: thing that's really good. But for the goalies, sometimes it's a,
- 6:06Speaker 4: it's a challenge, especially to make your numbers look good
- 6:09Speaker 4: when you see 19 shots in a game.
- 6:11Speaker 2: And now, once again, the rumor mill is on fire
- 6:15Speaker 2: that another goalie, a former Vesna Trophy winner and Olympic
- 6:20Speaker 2: gold medalist with Team USA, that Connor Hellebuck, whose suspension
- 6:24Speaker 2: ends in two days, is about to move. Multiple sources
- 6:30Speaker 2: reporting that a Winnipeg Jets trade, blockbuster trade, it's being
- 6:34Speaker 2: described as involving Connor Hellebuck, is imminent. And It seems
- 6:41Speaker 2: to be Buffalo, a little bit of New York Rangers talk,
- 6:44Speaker 2: but the Mammoth right there in the mix with that.
- 6:47Speaker 2: And we've talked about this, I think, every time we've
- 6:49Speaker 2: had you come on here. You know, heated up, cooled off,
- 6:54Speaker 2: maybe he's heating up again. And it's either going to
- 6:56Speaker 2: happen or it's not. But when you've got, like you said,
- 7:01Speaker 2: you've got a good problem in goal right now, are
- 7:05Speaker 2: you willing to interrupt that, change it, alter the flow
- 7:08Speaker 2: of the season that started off the right way?
- 7:11Speaker 3: Even for a blockbuster trade.
- 7:12Speaker 4: You know, the thing about Karel, the Melka and Sebastian
- 7:15Speaker 4: Kosa right now through 10 games is they win. So
- 7:19Speaker 4: Sebastian Kosa is two and one as a backup last year,
- 7:23Speaker 4: it took several months to get the second win for
- 7:26Speaker 4: V tech Vana check. So that's, that's the biggest thing
- 7:29Speaker 4: with goalies and Karel, the Melka over the last three
- 7:33Speaker 4: years is fourth in the NHL and wins. He was
- 7:36Speaker 4: second last year. So you're looking at, at the win
- 7:40Speaker 4: loss record and bill Armstrong makes this really, really easy
- 7:45Speaker 4: for me. Oh, see being out in front of things.
- 7:50Speaker 4: So when you and I are talking about, you know,
- 7:53Speaker 4: guys rumored to be involved in trades and the mammoth
- 7:56Speaker 4: are listed in every single article. I don't have to
- 8:00Speaker 4: worry about coming on with you and then going back
- 8:05Speaker 4: in to the Select Health Ice Center an hour later
- 8:09Speaker 4: as Bill Armstrong's walking down the stairs like, Adrian, just
- 8:13Speaker 4: heard you talking OC.
- 8:15Speaker 3: What do you know? What do you got?
- 8:18Speaker 4: I'll see Bill first thing in the morning when I
- 8:22Speaker 4: walk in or Chris Armstrong or But Bill makes it
- 8:26Speaker 4: so easy for me not to be awkward, OC, because
- 8:31Speaker 4: he says my job every day is to improve the
- 8:35Speaker 4: hockey team. And by saying that, you know that when
- 8:42Speaker 4: a name comes up, when a name doesn't come up,
- 8:44Speaker 4: when anything's happening, that Utah's making a call. Utah's involved.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Utah's weighing in. What's the best thing for the organization?
- 8:57Speaker 4: And I think we could all pretty much see, you know,
- 9:02Speaker 4: aligned expectations from the players to the coaches, to management,
- 9:09Speaker 4: to ownership, to mammoth nation, that what the expectations to
- 9:15Speaker 4: win this year, next year, the year after that, and
- 9:20Speaker 4: going through to, know 2034 which is logan cooley's eighth
- 9:25Speaker 4: year of his contract along with nick schmaltz john marino
- 9:29Speaker 4: goes till 2035 right the expectation here is to be
- 9:33Speaker 4: good every single season and i think everybody sees that
- 9:37Speaker 4: right we're not talking about we're trying to play meaningful
- 9:43Speaker 4: we want to be in the playoffs we want to
- 9:44Speaker 4: win we want to be you know carrying that that
- 9:49Speaker 4: stanley cup on a parade Um, I was, I was
- 9:52Speaker 4: talking to Jeff right here from Fox 13 on mammoth
- 9:56Speaker 4: daily last week.
- 9:58Speaker 3: And he says, yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 4: I think we've got a parade route that we're going
- 10:02Speaker 4: to have established on that, that path that's going from
- 10:05Speaker 4: the gateway to the Delta center. And I said, we're
- 10:08Speaker 4: not even going to have to close the road. And
- 10:10Speaker 4: he says, well, hopefully we, we have a parade before
- 10:13Speaker 4: that's done. So, you know, um, that's, that's the expectation. And, and,
- 10:18Speaker 4: Bill's going to be on the phone, and we've talked
- 10:21Speaker 4: about David Ludwig, the assistant GM before, who has everything
- 10:25Speaker 4: just completely mapped out from salary boards to comparables to
- 10:34Speaker 4: the prospect pool to a move we want to make
- 10:38Speaker 4: in a year maybe.
- 10:41Speaker 3: So that's what I'd say about that.
- 10:44Speaker 4: But Bill makes it easy, so I don't have to
- 10:46Speaker 4: worry about coming on with you And, you know, saying something,
- 10:51Speaker 4: the GM or the president of hockey operations, he'd be like, Hey, Adrian,
- 10:54Speaker 4: come over, come over here.
- 10:56Speaker 3: For a second.
- 10:56Speaker 2: They are involved in the discussions. The question for me
- 10:59Speaker 2: that I think is maybe most important to answer here.
- 11:02Speaker 2: You just, you just brought up comparables, right? When you
- 11:05Speaker 2: look at Hellebuck, Hellebuck's accomplishments significantly outweigh anything that Corral
- 11:11Speaker 2: Vamelka or Sebastian Cosa have accomplished, but their actual numbers
- 11:16Speaker 2: in like the goals against average last season, Vemelka and
- 11:20Speaker 2: Hellebuck were almost the exact same, right? So if you're
- 11:25Speaker 2: trading for the name or you're trading for the Stanley
- 11:28Speaker 2: Cup experience, you're trading for the gold medal experience, you're
- 11:31Speaker 2: trading for the Vesna trophy or whatever, I guess the
- 11:35Speaker 2: price becomes a little bit different or your interest becomes
- 11:38Speaker 2: a little bit different.
- 11:39Speaker 3: But if you're just trying.
- 11:40Speaker 2: To look at this from an analytical perspective, and I
- 11:43Speaker 2: don't know how much that weighs in and how much
- 11:45Speaker 2: it does not, Like you're getting good play in goal
- 11:49Speaker 2: right now. And of course there is the cost because
- 11:53Speaker 2: they're calling this a blockbuster potential trade for a reason.
- 11:58Speaker 2: What are you willing to give up to obtain somebody
- 12:01Speaker 2: like Connor Hellebuck if you're willing to? And it feels
- 12:04Speaker 2: like that ask is going to include part of your
- 12:08Speaker 2: young prospect pool at the very least, maybe one of
- 12:11Speaker 2: your more established important talents like a Gunther or Cooley
- 12:15Speaker 2: or whomever, And I think that's where my interest in
- 12:18Speaker 2: a trade like that begins to erode rapidly.
- 12:21Speaker 3: And I'll be fair.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I think it's, you know, it's recency bias and it's
- 12:26Speaker 2: this familiarity thing where it's like, look, we're, we're relatively
- 12:30Speaker 2: new to hockey and we've rapidly fallen in love with
- 12:33Speaker 2: this young core for the Utah mammoth because we believe
- 12:36Speaker 2: in this potential. dyed-in-the-wool hockey guys are going to have
- 12:40Speaker 2: a different outlook on it than we do just because
- 12:42Speaker 2: we bought the sweater, we know who these people are,
- 12:45Speaker 2: you don't want to see them go anywhere. But I
- 12:47Speaker 2: look at what recent Stanley Cup teams have done, I
- 12:51Speaker 2: look at what the projected Stanley Cup teams for this
- 12:55Speaker 2: year are doing, and you're looking at it, you're saying,
- 12:59Speaker 2: even if he's the best goaltender in the league, which
- 13:01Speaker 2: his numbers last year did not say that he was,
- 13:03Speaker 2: even if he's the best goaltender in the league, am
- 13:05Speaker 2: I willing to trade away this many goals of offense
- 13:09Speaker 2: per game in order to get that? Am I willing
- 13:12Speaker 2: to erode some of this foundation that we have so
- 13:17Speaker 2: meticulously built? And I think that's where something like this,
- 13:20Speaker 2: whether it's Hellebuck or anyone else becomes a much more
- 13:23Speaker 2: complicated discussion for me.
- 13:25Speaker 4: And you got to hand it to Winnipeg because they
- 13:28Speaker 4: have stood firm on this. The trade request became officially
- 13:35Speaker 4: public in late, August, but you know, it was made
- 13:42Speaker 4: earlier than that. And Winnipeg's always been, you know, a
- 13:47Speaker 4: team that is going to get the deal that they
- 13:51Speaker 4: want slash the best deal.
- 13:53Speaker 3: We kind of talked about it over the summer.
- 13:57Speaker 4: I thought, I thought the price for Brady Kachuk going
- 14:01Speaker 4: to Florida was a little light and I thought the
- 14:07Speaker 4: price for Quinn Hughes going to Minnesota was a little
- 14:11Speaker 4: white too. So you got to hand it to Winnipeg for,
- 14:18Speaker 4: you know, making sure they're, they're getting a deal that,
- 14:22Speaker 4: that they want and they feel, feel good about though. You,
- 14:26Speaker 4: you have heard also, you know, feedback that stick taps
- 14:32Speaker 4: to Ottawa and, and stick taps to Vancouver for just
- 14:35Speaker 4: making it go away and getting the, the cloud out
- 14:39Speaker 4: of there. Um, Kevin shovel day off, by the way, uh,
- 14:42Speaker 4: Winnipeg jets, GM played for the Salt Lake golden Eagles
- 14:47Speaker 4: got hurt and ended up starting his career with the
- 14:51Speaker 4: Utah Grizzlies as an assistant coach for Butch Goring before
- 14:55Speaker 4: he went to the Chicago wolves, went to the Blackhawks
- 14:58Speaker 4: and ultimately became a GM of the, the Winnipeg jets. So,
- 15:03Speaker 4: Being part of the Grizzlies family over there for a
- 15:06Speaker 4: number of years, I did hear it several times when
- 15:12Speaker 4: we had a hockey decision to make. Dave Elmore, the
- 15:15Speaker 4: owner of the Grizzlies, would say.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Let's call Chevy. Call Chevy, see what he thinks.
- 15:20Speaker 4: You look at the numbers from last year, Vemelka 38-20-3,
- 15:24Speaker 4: and that's to talk about the wins and the losses,
- 15:28Speaker 4: but better goals against average and a better save percentage
- 15:31Speaker 4: than Ben Halibut, and you talk about the cost and
- 15:39Speaker 4: what Winnipeg's asking for. You've also heard that Utah's pretty
- 15:45Speaker 4: bullish in trade discussions on what they're willing to part
- 15:52Speaker 4: with and what they'll do to get a deal done
- 15:56Speaker 4: when there's something that they want, like a Vinnie Trochek.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Um, Hellebuck makes about $ 3 million a year more than,
- 16:06Speaker 2: than the Melka does also. So that matters when you're
- 16:09Speaker 2: talking about these discussions, because again, the depth and breadth
- 16:13Speaker 2: of this Utah mammoth roster appears to be one of
- 16:16Speaker 2: their strengths and they haven't had to pay the big
- 16:19Speaker 2: $ 18 million a year, average annual value contract that some
- 16:23Speaker 2: of these other teams have, but they've, they've spread it out.
- 16:26Speaker 2: You know, there's a bunch of guys in that eight, nine, 10,
- 16:28Speaker 2: $ 11 million range now.
- 16:30Speaker 4: And the Mammoth do have cap space, right? But as
- 16:36Speaker 4: you said, you add Schmaltz, you add Cooley, Marino's coming
- 16:42Speaker 4: in next year with a contract that's going to start.
- 16:46Speaker 4: That's one thing that, in particular, they've been really good
- 16:50Speaker 4: at is categorizing items. We're going to pay this for this.
- 16:58Speaker 4: This is what's going to be here. um, you know,
- 17:01Speaker 4: you look at 15, 16, $ 17 million contracts across the,
- 17:06Speaker 4: the NHL, Logan Cooley, 10 ish is, is the highest on,
- 17:11Speaker 4: on Utah's roster right now. So the, the, they do
- 17:15Speaker 4: have slotted for every position, what, what they're willing to pay. And,
- 17:20Speaker 4: and Karel Vomelka is on a, on a nice deal
- 17:23Speaker 4: for a goalie right now, pushing, pushing five ish. And, Kosa,
- 17:28Speaker 4: same thing on a two-year deal. So you have two
- 17:31Speaker 4: goalies that are in the range of, you know, seven-ish
- 17:35Speaker 4: million on your roster total that you like both of them.
- 17:39Speaker 4: And the track record for Vemelka and the upside for
- 17:43Speaker 4: Kosa looks good. Tomorrow night at Seattle, what do you
- 17:50Speaker 4: expect from the Mammoth? Seattle is off to another good start. Uh,
- 17:57Speaker 4: they beat Detroit in a shootout last night. And I
- 18:00Speaker 4: always root for the team that the mammoth are playing
- 18:03Speaker 4: next to just blow the doors off their opposition, because
- 18:06Speaker 4: psychologically that tells me that, you know, when we go
- 18:09Speaker 4: in the next night, maybe they, they won't be quite
- 18:12Speaker 4: as on point that they're coming back from, from road trip.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Utah was able to handle Seattle last year. They've won
- 18:20Speaker 4: four straight games against them, but cracking they're, they're, win-loss
- 18:24Speaker 4: record is similar to Utah's right now. I think OC,
- 18:29Speaker 4: you know, early stages of the schedule, playing on a
- 18:34Speaker 4: Monday night at home versus on a Tuesday, I think
- 18:37Speaker 4: that was really good for the Mammoth to just kind
- 18:41Speaker 4: of be able to recharge and reset for a little bit.
- 18:45Speaker 3: It had been every other day, every other day, every
- 18:47Speaker 3: other day.
- 18:48Speaker 4: You play Saturday against Edmonton at home, bear set after.
- 18:52Speaker 4: It's like, you know, were tired, but you got to
- 18:57Speaker 4: play through it. They didn't practice Sunday, played a good game.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Monday did not practice yesterday, uh, practice today before they
- 19:04Speaker 4: had to, to Seattle this afternoon. So I think the Tuesday, Wednesday, uh,
- 19:09Speaker 4: between games, which Utah has not seen a lot of
- 19:11Speaker 4: going back to that Olympic schedule from last year can,
- 19:14Speaker 4: can be somewhere that extra day arrest can really, really
- 19:17Speaker 4: be helpful at this point.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Seattle tomorrow night.
- 19:20Speaker 2: And then before I see you again, Saturday, Tuesday, A
- 19:24Speaker 2: really good Tampa team at home Tuesday night. A really
- 19:27Speaker 2: good Minnesota Wild team at home tied with you right
- 19:30Speaker 2: now atop the division.
- 19:32Speaker 3: How many points do they need in those two? In
- 19:35Speaker 3: those two? Split them.
- 19:38Speaker 4: Like you win in Seattle tomorrow, you've guaranteed another at
- 19:42Speaker 4: least two out of three week, which they got last
- 19:45Speaker 4: week beating Toronto, winning in Edmonton, losing in Edmonton.
- 19:48Speaker 3: But it was disappointing how the Edmonton game went.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Went. They still took two out of three. You started
- 19:52Speaker 4: the week off Cosa in goal against Pittsburgh.
- 19:56Speaker 3: You win it.
- 19:57Speaker 4: And Andre attorney told us we're going to see more.
- 19:59Speaker 4: We're going to see more of a, not necessarily a rotation,
- 20:02Speaker 4: but more of a split with the Melka and, Kosa,
- 20:07Speaker 4: whether that's 80, 20 or 70, 30, 67, 33 in
- 20:10Speaker 4: terms of workload. But he said, when we're playing Toronto, Edmonton,
- 20:18Speaker 4: Edmonton on a week, like we're going with, we're going
- 20:20Speaker 4: with our goalie. So I think you can expect Karel
- 20:23Speaker 4: Vemelka against Tampa Bay. Who's seven and two. Minnesota's off
- 20:28Speaker 4: to a good start. They came from behind against Edmonton
- 20:31Speaker 4: last night, ended up losing in overtime because they took
- 20:33Speaker 4: it too many men penalty. But I think, I think
- 20:35Speaker 4: if you, You win in Seattle, you settle for a
- 20:38Speaker 4: two or three week, you start off with Minnesota, you
- 20:41Speaker 4: either beat them, don't beat them, but the grand picture
- 20:46Speaker 4: of it is three or four before you head on
- 20:48Speaker 4: the road for six straight. I think that's manageable.
- 20:53Speaker 3: The competition, it's heavy.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Playing Edmonton on back-to-back nights, probably not that high percentage
- 21:01Speaker 4: of a situation to sweep them just because you It's
- 21:05Speaker 4: easier when you're playing one-offs to do that. I noticed
- 21:07Speaker 4: that in the AHL and the ECHL, you're splitting every
- 21:10Speaker 4: weekend because if you went on a Friday, the team
- 21:13Speaker 4: that you beat is countering back. So sometimes it was
- 21:16Speaker 4: best to lose in overtime to start the weekend on
- 21:19Speaker 4: the home-and-home and then go back on the Saturday and
- 21:22Speaker 4: beat them and get three or four points.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Before I let you go, Utah-Houston game day, night game.
- 21:30Speaker 3: I know you'll be there. I won't be there. You
- 21:32Speaker 3: won't be there. I won't be there, buddy.
- 21:34Speaker 4: But I was talking to some Mammoth fans at our
- 21:36Speaker 4: mixer last night. That will be there.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:40Speaker 2: That's a tough choice to have to make, actually. But
- 21:46Speaker 2: what do you think? What's going to happen?
- 21:50Speaker 4: I think the Colorado game is probably the best thing
- 21:53Speaker 4: that could have ever happened. Face some adversity. Have to
- 21:57Speaker 4: push through a game late. Their games had not been close.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Right.
- 22:03Speaker 4: Rice Eccles late start conference play. That's not Oregon. I
- 22:10Speaker 4: think that bodes pretty well for Utah.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Let's go. That's between the pipes.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Adrian, Danny brought to you by Aladdin industries, Valley plumbing, heating,
- 22:18Speaker 2: and cooling.
