- 2:16Speaker 5: Is it already?
- 2:17Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Well, it did start at the beginning of the new year.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Oh my god, I got no.
- 2:23Speaker 4: No, no, yeah, the twelfth nineteenth Wait, yeah, week of
- 2:26Speaker 4: the twelfth week of the nineteenth.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Yeah, we're in the third week. Are we really? Actually?
- 2:31Speaker 3: Sad day? Isn't it? No? Today we are two and
- 2:33Speaker 3: a half weeks in.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Okay, good, We are exactly halfway through the contest as
- 2:37Speaker 4: of today.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Awesome, Yes, all right, very good. We had a winter yesterday,
- 2:41Speaker 3: get it today? Bonus is the word. We'll have three
- 2:43Speaker 3: more throughout the day, so stay tuned for sure. How
- 2:46Speaker 3: are you guys doing on a Wednesday? Everything good?
- 2:48Speaker 5: Trying to stay warm?
- 2:48Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yep. So I told you guys, I bought
- 2:51Speaker 3: all that stuff from good Wills to cover my plants
- 2:53Speaker 3: up last night.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Oh is that what you did when you got home
- 2:56Speaker 5: last night?
- 2:56Speaker 3: Were you go?
- 2:57Speaker 6: Boy?
- 2:58Speaker 3: We tell you something. Your boy is not built for
- 3:01Speaker 3: cold weather. Oh, your boy's not built for cold weather.
- 3:04Speaker 3: I do not know if it's just I've lived in
- 3:06Speaker 3: the state so long. I don't know how much I
- 3:07Speaker 3: buy the thin blood in the South thing or not.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I think maybe it's just person to person how people
- 3:13Speaker 3: deal with colder weather. I know this is a straight
- 3:16Speaker 3: up bitch ass move. I got no problem saying it.
- 3:20Speaker 3: I do not like cold weather. Last night I got home.
- 3:23Speaker 3: It was a balmy thirty five outside, thirty six whatever
- 3:28Speaker 3: it was you got home? Yeah that I mean when
- 3:31Speaker 3: we left here last night, it was only forty one
- 3:33Speaker 3: or forty two, right, So get home. I eat dinner
- 3:38Speaker 3: after you put the squad dogs away. No, I eat dinner.
- 3:43Speaker 3: My beautiful wife has dinner for me. So I eat dinner.
- 3:45Speaker 3: I go out. Well, I guess I gotta go do this.
- 3:48Speaker 3: So it's like eight thirty quard up till nine and
- 3:49Speaker 3: there I go out of the yard, you know, thirty
- 3:52Speaker 3: whatever degree to cover up these plants. Here's the best part.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Never reaches freezing last night. Did not need to do it.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Then I had to go back out today and take
- 4:02Speaker 3: all of them back off. You have a weather app yes,
- 4:05Speaker 3: but it said it was gonna get down to the
- 4:06Speaker 3: thirty two, but it never did. So anyway, now I
- 4:10Speaker 3: have to uh wait until I guess Friday night is
- 4:13Speaker 3: the night that it's the first time it's supposed to
- 4:15Speaker 3: be in the twenties, I got I have a reprieve
- 4:17Speaker 3: for a couple of days.
- 4:18Speaker 7: Well, see, but you what you really did was you
- 4:20Speaker 7: got ahead of it.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Yeah, Jimmy, that's what it was.
- 4:23Speaker 5: You got ahead of it.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Well, what happened, Deborah was I was able to find
- 4:27Speaker 3: out what sheets were able to cover what plants, and
- 4:30Speaker 3: now I have to figure out how to keep them
- 4:32Speaker 3: on them because a couple of them blew off in
- 4:34Speaker 3: the evening. So it was a dry run. It was
- 4:36Speaker 3: a dry run.
- 4:37Speaker 7: Yes, yes, Should you just need to go to the
- 4:38Speaker 7: supply closet here at work and get yourself a couple
- 4:43Speaker 7: of pocketfuls of binder clips.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Well, is that what it is? Can I steal them
- 4:46Speaker 3: from here? No? Why not? You're not allowed to steal off?
- 4:49Speaker 3: Can I see you taking batteries all the time? So no, no, no,
- 4:52Speaker 3: no, no no, sorry dump that. Sorry they're expensive, Jack, I
- 4:57Speaker 3: get it. I pull them A couple myself who can
- 5:01Speaker 3: handle a remote control that doesn't work.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Yeah, no, that's a good point.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Four seven nine six four. All right, So yesterday I
- 5:07Speaker 3: told you guys, I'll watched the Rip, the movie with
- 5:09Speaker 3: a Fleck and Matt Damon. Yeah, and as a Netflix production.
- 5:14Speaker 3: And have you noticed, Jack, with the Netflix movies that
- 5:17Speaker 3: you can tell it's a Netflix movie other than like
- 5:20Speaker 3: a I can't even say that Netflix isn't a major
- 5:23Speaker 3: studio anymore, because Netflix is now a major movie studio.
- 5:27Speaker 3: I mean, you can't say it's not like just Warner
- 5:29Speaker 3: Brothers or twenty century Fox or you know, any of
- 5:32Speaker 3: the Touchstone, any of the major studios we've known for
- 5:35Speaker 3: a year. Are you talking about the look the quality?
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yes?
- 5:37Speaker 4: Yeah, And I think it has to do with camera
- 5:40Speaker 4: shooting to film, yes, color saturation, all of that. I think, Yeah,
- 5:44Speaker 4: they have a method for doing it, which is makes
- 5:47Speaker 4: it looks a little different.
- 5:48Speaker 3: But you can tell, right, Netflix movies look different than
- 5:52Speaker 3: major motion picture movie theaters. Even though it's a major
- 5:55Speaker 3: motion picture or a motion picture, I should say, they
- 5:57Speaker 3: do look a little bit different. It doesn't look as finish.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Now for me, it doesn't take away from the field
- 6:02Speaker 3: of the movie so much, especially when you're doing an
- 6:04Speaker 3: action movie. You know, you don't need the cinematography to
- 6:06Speaker 3: be so overwhelmingly good that you're trying to capture a
- 6:09Speaker 3: moment with great light and imagery. Right, that's what makes
- 6:14Speaker 3: a good movie great though, No it is. But what
- 6:16Speaker 3: I'm saying is like action movies, I don't think need that.
- 6:20Speaker 3: And as I'm don't lean on it, they do not.
- 6:22Speaker 3: And as I'm watching.
- 6:23Speaker 7: Ridgard tin Wood Bridgerton Wood, what about it? Well, I
- 6:27Speaker 7: mean it's like that soft lighting.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you're saying, yes, yes, well I am.
- 6:31Speaker 5: For a second. If you're gonna y element, No, it's.
- 6:34Speaker 3: A Beatles song, Bridgerton would No, it's not. That's Norwegian wood.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Even I know that.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Come on, come on, man, come on man, that's the
- 6:41Speaker 3: bottom of those shoes were made out of bridge Wood.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Bridgerton Bin held it together by Corinthian leather shirt.
- 6:50Speaker 3: And uh, what the hell is IM talking about? I
- 6:52Speaker 3: don't know.
- 6:52Speaker 4: That's all we're doing to see how many callbacks we
- 6:55Speaker 4: could throw.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Into one segment. So anyway, watch this movie and there
- 6:59Speaker 3: we go, the whole movie about a house. I've never
- 7:01Speaker 3: heard these terms. These are all cop terms. I wonder
- 7:03Speaker 3: if cops even though what they're talking about. I guess
- 7:04Speaker 3: that the rip is a house where if they bust
- 7:07Speaker 3: a house that has a bunch of drug money, they
- 7:10Speaker 3: have to count it on the spot. And now the
- 7:12Speaker 3: word gets out to the cartels that these guys are
- 7:14Speaker 3: counting their money. And then off we go to you know,
- 7:17Speaker 3: people coming around trying to shoot them up and on
- 7:19Speaker 3: the whole thing, and then you find out at the
- 7:20Speaker 3: end what the real deal is.
- 7:23Speaker 4: OK, And now I know. Now I'm waiting for the
- 7:26Speaker 4: m night Shamalama ding dong twist.
- 7:28Speaker 3: You saw it right? I did not see it. I
- 7:29Speaker 3: thought you watched it. I want to watch it, but
- 7:32Speaker 3: my wife is holding me pos well you know what,
- 7:34Speaker 3: she isn't gonna like it. And it's not gory or
- 7:37Speaker 3: groast or anything like that, but I mean, you.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Have to delay the amount of time for me to beat.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Well, just watch it about yourself. I know you play
- 7:44Speaker 3: video games by yourself.
- 7:45Speaker 8: I don't.
- 7:45Speaker 3: I played like once a couple hours on the weekend.
- 7:49Speaker 3: We'll watch the movie then, anyway, I will. I will
- 7:51Speaker 3: worth a watch. Okay, here's the thing. Not the best
- 7:53Speaker 3: action picture I've ever seen, for sure, but actually has
- 7:57Speaker 3: some twisting turns that are damn good. And I and
- 8:00Speaker 3: I what I came away with was this. I wish
- 8:03Speaker 3: this would have been done by a major motion picture
- 8:05Speaker 3: or a major studio.
- 8:07Speaker 4: So you're saying it's less than because it was a
- 8:10Speaker 4: Netflix producer.
- 8:11Speaker 3: I think that did take away a little the edge
- 8:13Speaker 3: considering the magnitude of the two stars in it. You
- 8:16Speaker 3: see what I'm saying. Yeah, you have been you have
- 8:18Speaker 3: been afflic and you have Matt Damon. I mean, these
- 8:21Speaker 3: are two gigantic Hollywood stars. You know, they made their
- 8:24Speaker 3: kind of way through Hollywood together, So them coming back
- 8:27Speaker 3: together to do a movie is a big deal. And
- 8:30Speaker 3: it's a Netflix production.
- 8:31Speaker 4: You're familiar with why they do it this way and
- 8:34Speaker 4: the deal that they create. Yeah, probably more money for them. No,
- 8:37Speaker 4: actually it's more money.
- 8:38Speaker 3: For their crew. Oh is it really? Yeah?
- 8:40Speaker 4: Because somebody I did not know that some leaders like
- 8:43Speaker 4: to share with the success.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I gave you. I gave you beef six. Before you
- 8:49Speaker 3: get into this, I gave you bief sticks. They didn't
- 8:50Speaker 3: send the beef six to you, They send them to me,
- 8:52Speaker 3: and I was nice time to give it to you.
- 8:54Speaker 4: The reason I opened the box and read the note
- 8:55Speaker 4: because it said the Jim Colbert Show.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Yeah yeah yeah, And once they had show on, there
- 9:00Speaker 3: are here too, then I open it. So back hello,
- 9:05Speaker 3: back to bat. Before we go farther, you can have
- 9:08Speaker 3: a koozie if you'd like them. I already grab one.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I'll talk to you after the show about yours.
- 9:14Speaker 7: Yeah, oh great, well I already got a bag of
- 9:16Speaker 7: meat sticks.
- 9:17Speaker 4: But well, Matt and Ben they created a company because
- 9:21Speaker 4: they felt that if you have a shared benefit, and
- 9:25Speaker 4: I believe this is the underpinnings of communism, where everyone
- 9:28Speaker 4: shares in the overall outcome, they should all benefit. It
- 9:32Speaker 4: shouldn't like if a movie, if a blockbuster movie does well,
- 9:36Speaker 4: it shouldn't just be the top of the line talent
- 9:39Speaker 4: and you know the top handful of people that benefit
- 9:43Speaker 4: everyone who is part of it. Because they believe if
- 9:46Speaker 4: you incentivize everyone who's working on it, they're gonna do
- 9:49Speaker 4: their best work. Therefore, they create deals and they created
- 9:53Speaker 4: to deal with Netflix based on how many streams within
- 9:56Speaker 4: the first two weeks if they surpass a certain level,
- 9:59Speaker 4: they have like five tiers that everyone, the twelve hundred
- 10:02Speaker 4: people who worked on the movie get a bonus based
- 10:05Speaker 4: on how many streams it gets. And they do the
- 10:08Speaker 4: same deal with I believe they did it with the
- 10:10Speaker 4: air movie about the Nike shoot Jordan's Shoe, Yes, that
- 10:14Speaker 4: Ben Affleck produced, Matt Damon was in.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you know. They so they create.
- 10:18Speaker 4: These deals where there are the residuals go to the
- 10:22Speaker 4: entire crew of the movie.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's actually very cool because I mean, we
- 10:26Speaker 3: all know nobody's tuning in because Gym's running lighting. Yeah,
- 10:29Speaker 3: you know, it's because Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are
- 10:31Speaker 3: in the movie, right, I mean, that's what they're tuning
- 10:33Speaker 3: in for. But I understand that that's very noble of
- 10:35Speaker 3: them to do that.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Well they think, actually they think it does matter. Although
- 10:40Speaker 4: people might not be tuning in, You're going to get
- 10:42Speaker 4: a better product if Ben who's doing lighting, is invested
- 10:46Speaker 4: in making sure that shot is perfect as opposed to Hey,
- 10:49Speaker 4: I'm union the lights on.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Yeah, and other people have done this, like during COVID,
- 10:53Speaker 3: wasn't it Kimmel or which one of those are? Conan
- 10:56Speaker 3: paid his staff out of his own pocket even though
- 10:59Speaker 3: they weren't make a show a lot. Yeah, a number
- 11:02Speaker 3: of those guys. But I think Conan was one of
- 11:04Speaker 3: the first ones to come out and say he didn't
- 11:05Speaker 3: he pay him for like three or four or five weeks.
- 11:07Speaker 4: I'm not even sure. But Conan was I think already
- 11:09Speaker 4: doing the five years ago. Maybe he did have a
- 11:11Speaker 4: TV show, I'm not sure.
- 11:12Speaker 3: But one of them did that, Colbert Colbert, Yeah, which
- 11:16Speaker 3: makes sense. I mean, that's exactly what I would do.
- 11:20Speaker 5: Hello again, we're right here, Beefstick.
- 11:26Speaker 3: That's going to be your new nickname for seven. We'll
- 11:29Speaker 3: tell you as well. We'll tell you why Beefsticks coming
- 11:33Speaker 3: up in a little bit. But we do have a
- 11:35Speaker 3: stacked up program for you this afternoon. And there's some
- 11:37Speaker 3: major drama out there. Bill Belichick does not make it
- 11:40Speaker 3: into the Hall of Fame balloting on the first ballot,
- 11:44Speaker 3: and people are coming unglued. And this guy is not
- 11:48Speaker 3: a sympathetic character. He really isn't.
- 11:50Speaker 6: He's not.
- 11:51Speaker 3: People are losing their mind over Plus, we have so
- 11:55Speaker 3: much other stuff to talk about. Deb What do you
- 11:56Speaker 3: have for news?
- 11:57Speaker 7: Well, we're going to talk about today marking the anniversary
- 11:59Speaker 7: of a tragic moment in American history. This Florida city
- 12:03Speaker 7: leads the nation with the most million dollar homes for sale.
- 12:07Speaker 7: And we're gonna also talk about the most streamed movie
- 12:10Speaker 7: of twenty twenty five. We'll talk about that and more
- 12:13Speaker 7: coming up next during JCS news.
- 12:14Speaker 3: All right for us seven nine one six four one

- 14:24Speaker 7: this straight through Tuesday, but overnight temperatures are expected to
- 14:28Speaker 7: drop into the low thirties in Orlando and surrounding areas.
- 14:31Speaker 7: A cold weather advisory will also be in effect tomorrow morning.
- 14:35Speaker 3: All right.
- 14:36Speaker 7: Like I teased before the commercial break, today marks the
- 14:39Speaker 7: fortieth anniversary of one of the most tragic moments in
- 14:42Speaker 7: American history, and you can blame the cold this day.
- 14:45Speaker 7: Back in nineteen eighty six, the Space Shuttle Challenger broke
- 14:49Speaker 7: apart just seventy three seconds after liftoff from Cape Canaveral,
- 14:53Speaker 7: killing all seven crew members on board, including what was
- 14:56Speaker 7: expected to be the first teacher in space, Krista mccauliffe.
- 15:00Speaker 7: Millions of viewers across the country witnessed the disaster live.
- 15:04Speaker 7: Families of the astronauts gathered back at the launch site
- 15:06Speaker 7: last week to mark that tragic day.
- 15:09Speaker 3: And again, I guess I remember where I was, man,
- 15:12Speaker 3: I mean, it's one of those one of those times
- 15:13Speaker 3: in my life I will never forget. I was just
- 15:15Speaker 3: thinking about it.
- 15:16Speaker 4: It was my first year at the New Jersey Institute
- 15:19Speaker 4: of Technology. Oh wow, first time through college.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Wow, that's crazy. I was standing in the parking lot
- 15:24Speaker 3: of the apartment we lived in and I was actually
- 15:27Speaker 3: headed to work, and I looked up and saw it
- 15:31Speaker 3: go up. And I remember getting to work and we
- 15:33Speaker 3: just could not believe it. It was just the most
- 15:35Speaker 3: amazing thing. Watched it live, happen right there in Pine Hills, Florida.
- 15:38Speaker 7: And if you remember, that was when President Reagan at
- 15:41Speaker 7: the time, had made one of the most profound speeches
- 15:44Speaker 7: to the nation this evening when he said, you know
- 15:47Speaker 7: that they had touched the stars. You know, you know,
- 15:51Speaker 7: because the nation we'd never experienced anything like them. You
- 15:53Speaker 7: had children, the astronauts family sitting right there watching pressure
- 15:58Speaker 7: on NASA to get this historic flight in the air.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Yeah, the national recognition of the flight because of Christ mccolof.
- 16:04Speaker 7: Exact bitterly cold weather that cracked one of the old rings,
- 16:07Speaker 7: unknown to NASA at the time, but that was the
- 16:10Speaker 7: last time NASA let a photo op determine whether or
- 16:13Speaker 7: not they were going to take off, because if the
- 16:16Speaker 7: weather isn't going to cooperate, we're staying on the ground.
- 16:18Speaker 7: We don't care how historic the flight is.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it was like it wasn't it in
- 16:21Speaker 3: the teens that morning.
- 16:23Speaker 5: I believe, so it was yeah, cold, bitterly cold.
- 16:27Speaker 7: And because of that, of course, you know, we were
- 16:29Speaker 7: talking earlier about covering our own plants, and freezing temperatures
- 16:32Speaker 7: could cripple Florida's tropical fruit crop. Dale Erickson says mangoes
- 16:37Speaker 7: lose blooms below forty degrees and thirty two is predicted
- 16:40Speaker 7: this weekend at Ericson Farm on the eastern shore of
- 16:44Speaker 7: Lake Okachobee.
- 16:45Speaker 9: You trust in nature, you trust in God, and you
- 16:48Speaker 9: pray that you'll survive and be able to.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Recover and come back from it. But it's hard to
- 16:54Speaker 3: not be anxious the.
- 16:55Speaker 5: Last time his farm got hit.
- 16:57Speaker 7: Now, while vegetable crops can recover in about ninety days,
- 17:00Speaker 7: how long do you take it? I think it takes
- 17:02Speaker 7: four tropical fruit trees to return the production. And that's
- 17:06Speaker 7: the amount of time that these folks are without an income.
- 17:09Speaker 3: I would say it's got to be eight to ten years, right,
- 17:12Speaker 3: I mean to pull the old trees up, regrow new trees. Oh,
- 17:15Speaker 3: if you lose the tree, if you're starting from scratch.
- 17:17Speaker 5: Well not necessarily losing the tree.
- 17:19Speaker 7: But again, vegetable crops can recover it's about ninety days
- 17:23Speaker 7: three months, but tropical fruit trees take this long to
- 17:26Speaker 7: return production.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Two to four years. Oh, I'll go one.
- 17:29Speaker 7: Year, actually, coins Jimmy three to four years. So the
- 17:33Speaker 7: last time they got hit with a freeze, Dale Erickson says,
- 17:36Speaker 7: you know, he and his family went without an income
- 17:38Speaker 7: for three years, well, waiting for the farm to come
- 17:41Speaker 7: back up. All right, Well, it's not just you know farmers.
- 17:44Speaker 7: The weather continues to disrupt travel plans. Over forty flights
- 17:47Speaker 7: were canceled or delayed Yesterday at Orlando International Airport. That
- 17:51Speaker 7: is a lot better than Monday when there were over
- 17:54Speaker 7: three hundred delays and cancelations. They once again tell you
- 17:58Speaker 7: to check your flight status before going to the airport.
- 18:01Speaker 7: I just checked flight aware dot com and they're saying, like,
- 18:03Speaker 7: there's two hundred and ten delays at OIA And again,
- 18:07Speaker 7: the weather may be beautiful here, but it doesn't. It
- 18:10Speaker 7: doesn't matter, It does not, it does not matter. All right,
- 18:13Speaker 7: this airline is having more problems weathering the winter storm
- 18:16Speaker 7: than any other carrier.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Uh, the one, the yellow and black one that's bankrupt.
- 18:24Speaker 3: I'll go Alaska Airlines.
- 18:26Speaker 5: American Airlines.
- 18:27Speaker 7: Oh really, American Airlines is having more trouble than any
- 18:30Speaker 7: other carrier. The Texas based company says the storm was
- 18:34Speaker 7: the largest weather related disruption in its history an American
- 18:39Speaker 7: Airlines entire history, with over nine thousand cancelations and plenty
- 18:44Speaker 7: of stranded crews and passengers.
- 18:46Speaker 4: I bet they fly more than either they have more
- 18:48Speaker 4: flights in Alaska nor what's the one I'm trying to
- 18:52Speaker 4: think of, the yellow one, Spirit.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Spirits there you go.
- 18:55Speaker 7: Yeah, you're probably right, and not only that they are
- 18:58Speaker 7: Texas based, right, Yeah, so the airline is still struggling
- 19:02Speaker 7: to recover, offering double pay this week to flight attendants
- 19:05Speaker 7: if they work extra shifts. Americans CEO says it got harder.
- 19:10Speaker 7: It got hit harder than its rivals because the ice
- 19:13Speaker 7: storm struck the very heart of its system in Fort Worth.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Wow.
- 19:17Speaker 5: So if you're flying American, pack your patients.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Yeah, all right.
- 19:21Speaker 7: Orlando is setting aside five million dollars to address the
- 19:24Speaker 7: growing homeless crisis in our city. The money will go
- 19:27Speaker 7: to the Christian Service Center, which offers essential services resources
- 19:31Speaker 7: like showers, bathrooms, and laundry, volunteers and seminole Osceola and
- 19:36Speaker 7: Orange Counties are also going to be conducting a census
- 19:40Speaker 7: of the homeless population to distribute resources more effectively. All right,
- 19:46Speaker 7: this city, or yeah, this Florida city leads the nation,
- 19:49Speaker 7: like I said, with the most homes valued over seven
- 19:51Speaker 7: figures for sale.
- 19:52Speaker 5: Not much of a guest, What do you think it.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Is the city of Miami.
- 19:56Speaker 5: You got it?
- 19:56Speaker 7: Miami leads the nation most home selling for seven figures gears.
- 20:00Speaker 7: The Magic City has actually overtaken New York City.
- 20:04Speaker 3: No way, really, Yes, with.
- 20:06Speaker 7: Nearly four hundred more homes listed for a million dollars
- 20:10Speaker 7: or more Wow, this is the first time in more
- 20:13Speaker 7: than a decade that New York has not led the
- 20:15Speaker 7: nation in million dollar home listings, and according to realtor
- 20:18Speaker 7: dot com, Miami is a magnet for international buyers and
- 20:22Speaker 7: Americans looking for lower taxes.
- 20:24Speaker 3: I was gonna say, man, warmer.
- 20:26Speaker 5: Climate and business friendly policies.
- 20:29Speaker 3: It's so crazy too. I mean, they're still buying those
- 20:31Speaker 3: homes down there, and they have no idea what it's
- 20:33Speaker 3: going to look in ten years exactly when it comes
- 20:35Speaker 3: to the incursion of water in that area. And you know,
- 20:38Speaker 3: and those people down there, I mean, those governments down
- 20:40Speaker 3: there are like they're cognizant of that and they're already
- 20:42Speaker 3: taking measures. Oh, but it is not slowing anybody down. No,
- 20:46Speaker 3: that money is still going sound like crazy.
- 20:48Speaker 7: I mean they're just building like new art museums and
- 20:51Speaker 7: stuff like that with that water mitigation kind of in play. Realizing,
- 20:55Speaker 7: like you said, they're going to be dealing with it
- 20:56Speaker 7: whether they like it or not. Secretary of State Mark
- 20:59Speaker 7: or Ruby, testifying today before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee
- 21:03Speaker 7: on Venezuela. He says the interim Venezuelan President Delsi Rodriguez
- 21:07Speaker 7: is working with the US toward a stable, prosperous future.
- 21:11Speaker 12: The President never rules out his options as commander in
- 21:14Speaker 12: chief to protect the national interest in the United States.
- 21:17Speaker 12: I can tell you right now with full certainty, we
- 21:19Speaker 12: are not postured to, nor do we intend or expect
- 21:22Speaker 12: to have to take any military action in Venezuela.
- 21:24Speaker 7: Rubio says the country has the potential to be the
- 21:27Speaker 7: wealthiest in the region. He's also set to meet with
- 21:29Speaker 7: Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Coriina Machado at the State Department
- 21:34Speaker 7: this afternoon.
- 21:34Speaker 3: I'm glad we crushed that drug probably have done there.
- 21:38Speaker 7: Florida lawmakers are taking up a bill that would allow
- 21:41Speaker 7: the state to rename Palm Beach International Airport after President Trump.
- 21:47Speaker 7: The House Economic Infrastructure Subcommittee is hearing House Bill nine
- 21:51Speaker 7: nineteen today, while the Senate Committee advanced its version this week.
- 21:55Speaker 7: The proposal would shift airport naming authority from local governments
- 22:00Speaker 7: to the state and clear the way for the airport
- 22:04Speaker 7: to become Donald J. Trump International Airport, pending FAA approval.
- 22:09Speaker 7: Whatever happened to autonomy right Palm Beach County officials have
- 22:14Speaker 7: raised concerns about potential rebranding costs, but supporters say, Trump's
- 22:21Speaker 7: presence in the area brings major economic value. There you go, Yeah,
- 22:26Speaker 7: that's right, take it away, take more away from local
- 22:28Speaker 7: governments while telling them, yeah.
- 22:31Speaker 3: All right. JD.
- 22:32Speaker 7: Vance is spending his day in Florida. The vice president
- 22:35Speaker 7: is visiting Naples in Miami Beach today for private events,
- 22:38Speaker 7: including a fundraiser at the Naples Yacht Club. Tickets for
- 22:41Speaker 7: each event cost about one hundred thousand dollars.
- 22:45Speaker 3: That's all.
- 22:45Speaker 5: That's all.
- 22:46Speaker 7: Locals are being told to expect road closures and protests.
- 22:50Speaker 4: All right.
- 22:50Speaker 7: Governor Aron Desanta says Florida is joining more than twenty
- 22:54Speaker 7: other states and opting into the new federal Education Freedom
- 22:57Speaker 7: Tax Credit. Speaking today at a private Christian school in
- 23:01Speaker 7: bell Rico, Desanta said the program will give families more
- 23:04Speaker 7: options and build on Florida's existing school choice system, and
- 23:09Speaker 7: Desanta says families that meet certain income levels will be
- 23:12Speaker 7: able to use that money and not just for tuition.
- 23:16Speaker 8: You know, if you're already paying tuition and you have everything,
- 23:19Speaker 8: you could still get that and maybe do tutoring with it.
- 23:22Speaker 8: Maybe you can do some some additional supplies.
- 23:25Speaker 7: Now, taxpayers can contribute up to seventeen hundred dollars to
- 23:29Speaker 7: a scholarship organization. Families who qualify by income again can
- 23:33Speaker 7: use them scholarship money for tuitions, school supplies are tutoring.
- 23:38Speaker 7: The credit takes effect next January. First nothing well.
- 23:42Speaker 3: I mean reading a story today about the leaders in
- 23:46Speaker 3: Orange County that are lamenting because they have to shut
- 23:48Speaker 3: down seven schools in Orange County because this stupid voucher program.
- 23:51Speaker 3: I shouldn't say that, because a lot of people do
- 23:53Speaker 3: like it. The voucher program is basically decimating the public
- 23:56Speaker 3: school system. And unfortunately for the voucher program, the schools aren'ttted,
- 24:00Speaker 3: the teachers aren't vetted. We're not even sure that the
- 24:03Speaker 3: people going to these voucher schools are getting a qualified education.
- 24:06Speaker 3: I'm very interested to see what test scores or collegiate
- 24:10Speaker 3: missions are going to be like in the state of
- 24:12Speaker 3: Florida the next fifteen years, because kids are going to
- 24:14Speaker 3: these schools that could just shut down in the middle
- 24:16Speaker 3: of the in the middle of they don't even know
- 24:18Speaker 3: if the teachers are committed to that particular curriculum. When
- 24:21Speaker 3: we know and we have the power to oversee that
- 24:24Speaker 3: in public schools, and I just for the life of me,
- 24:27Speaker 3: I do not understand it usually the backbone of most communities.
- 24:30Speaker 4: This has been over two decades, maybe twenty five years
- 24:32Speaker 4: of defunding public education in the state of Florida. Unbelievable
- 24:36Speaker 4: and except some chartered schools, great, right, but not you know,
- 24:41Speaker 4: where is there accountability and oversight and that accreditation And
- 24:44Speaker 4: that's what we had with the public school system that
- 24:47Speaker 4: we don't have now and some of the schools there
- 24:50Speaker 4: are problems, and unfortunately, we're going to see a generation
- 24:54Speaker 4: of kids suffering through this problem.
- 24:57Speaker 7: As well as as well as other members of society
- 25:00Speaker 7: that are going to be leaning on them as part
- 25:01Speaker 7: of the work for it.
- 25:02Speaker 3: I mean, look, we have the stats. Like nobody's making
- 25:05Speaker 3: this up. This is a this is not a partisan issue.
- 25:08Speaker 3: This state is one of the wealthiest states in the country,
- 25:11Speaker 3: and we have one of the worst public education systems
- 25:15Speaker 3: for K through twelve education in the country. Like we're
- 25:18Speaker 3: in the bottom five percent or something. With all this
- 25:21Speaker 3: GD money coming in, and aren't we the fourth richest
- 25:24Speaker 3: state in this blinking nation?
- 25:26Speaker 6: Did you?
- 25:26Speaker 3: Did you hear?
- 25:27Speaker 7: Also that generation the Zoomers, are the first generation in
- 25:31Speaker 7: over one hundred years to be cognitively behind their parents.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Oh, the math. The math and science scores in the
- 25:38Speaker 3: state are abysmal.
- 25:39Speaker 7: It is a joke, and I mean in that case
- 25:42Speaker 7: they're blaming the use of technology in the classroom. But well, Meanwhile,
- 25:46Speaker 7: hundreds of gun safety advocates around the steps of the
- 25:48Speaker 7: old state capital today demanding lawmakers stop rolling back legislation
- 25:53Speaker 7: past post Parkland. Reverend doctor Russell Meyer with the Florida
- 25:57Speaker 7: Council of Churches says, we need to do better for
- 25:59Speaker 7: our children.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Every time I see or hear of a mass shooting,
- 26:04Speaker 3: I think once again of how we have failed as
- 26:07Speaker 3: grown ups in our society.
- 26:09Speaker 7: One bill would lower the firearm purchase age from twenty
- 26:13Speaker 7: one to eighteen. Another would repeal the state's red flag law,
- 26:17Speaker 7: and the other would allow quote campus carry end quote
- 26:20Speaker 7: on college campuses. All right, some happy news, and the
- 26:23Speaker 7: Escambia County native in the Panhandle is closer to realizing
- 26:27Speaker 7: her dreams of stardom. Pensacola is Kayla Richardson audition Monday
- 26:31Speaker 7: for American Idol Season twenty four, and she was given
- 26:35Speaker 7: a golden ticket to advance to Hollywood Week. The twenty
- 26:39Speaker 7: nine year old mother is a music teacher at Life
- 26:41Speaker 7: Shifting Learning Academy in Pensacola. Her parents own the school,
- 26:45Speaker 7: and her dad says they're very excited. Mom tells where
- 26:48Speaker 7: News she knows this is part of Kayla's destiny. And
- 26:52Speaker 7: then finally, what do you think? Was the most streamed
- 26:56Speaker 7: movie of.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Twenty twenty five? Streamed? Streamed? Would you like a hint? Yes?
- 27:04Speaker 3: I got it? Go ahead, I'm gonna guess the Demon Hunter?
- 27:07Speaker 3: K Pop? Demon Hunter? You got a check? You got it?
- 27:12Speaker 3: I was hoping we'd see you dance. Jimmy, Jimmy come back. Sorry,
- 27:20Speaker 3: somebody said, K Pop? Will you time out? Yes?
- 27:25Speaker 7: K Pop Demon Hunters keeps racking up more accolades. According
- 27:29Speaker 7: to new Nielsen data, the hit Netflix movie was the
- 27:32Speaker 7: most streamed movie of twenty twenty five. Now, they did
- 27:36Speaker 7: this by minutes, but in the US alone, viewers streamed
- 27:39Speaker 7: the movie for a total of twenty and a half
- 27:42Speaker 7: billion minutes, or the equivalent of two hundred and seven
- 27:46Speaker 7: million full views of the movie. Disney's Mowana two came
- 27:51Speaker 7: in second with nine point four billion viewing minutes. Meanwhile,
- 27:55Speaker 7: Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore two earned seven point one billion minutes.
- 28:00Speaker 7: Netflix and Wicked rapped up six point eight billion minutes
- 28:04Speaker 7: across Peacock and Amazon Prime Video.
- 28:07Speaker 5: So there you have it. K Pop Demon Hunters.
- 28:10Speaker 3: It is the thing.
- 28:11Speaker 5: Man cannot escape it.
- 28:13Speaker 3: It is the thing. It is. I mean, it's all around.
- 28:16Speaker 3: And I knew that answer.
- 28:17Speaker 4: Well, it was a good guess, But the I haven't
- 28:21Speaker 4: seen it, although I have one daughter who says she
- 28:24Speaker 4: wants me to watch it, and I'm like.
- 28:27Speaker 3: That, it's a cartoon. You should love it.
- 28:29Speaker 7: You mean animated, Yeah, yeah, exactly. Well keep in mind too.
- 28:33Speaker 7: That also led to another viral TikTok challenge that had
- 28:37Speaker 7: doctors warning parents because in the movie, apparently they slurped
- 28:41Speaker 7: like super hot ramen brought out of the microwave. The
- 28:44Speaker 7: kids started doing the same thing and then the complete
- 28:46Speaker 7: hell out of themselves, scalding themselves. So I can only
- 28:49Speaker 7: wish I could be their live to laugh out. I
- 28:52Speaker 7: can only wish how to key to their house.
- 28:54Speaker 3: I could sit there and as they pulled it out
- 28:55Speaker 3: of the microwave and scorched their stupid tongues, I could
- 28:57Speaker 3: laugh them straight in the face. But I guess I don't.
- 29:01Speaker 5: Nope, You're not going to get that chance.
- 29:03Speaker 7: Sadly, I'm so sorry Jimmy, we'll see if we can
- 29:05Speaker 7: whip something up for it.
- 29:06Speaker 3: You appreciate that.
- 29:06Speaker 7: But in the meantime that concludes, you're JCS news.
- 29:12Speaker 3: All right. Four o seven nine one text us seven

- 31:07Speaker 3: tell how big it is, but let me give you
- 31:08Speaker 3: an idea. This is the size of a child's skateboard.
- 31:14Speaker 11: Well, three of those took up pretty much the white
- 31:15Speaker 11: limit on one of the cases. Chocolate Mule.
- 31:20Speaker 3: It's that real cadberry chocolate, and I do not have
- 31:23Speaker 3: my chocolate. I do not have my son at home
- 31:26Speaker 3: to help me get rid of that. Usually my son
- 31:28Speaker 3: has a horrible sweet tooth and he's able to help
- 31:30Speaker 3: me rid myself of that. They took about a month
- 31:32Speaker 3: and a half last time.
- 31:33Speaker 11: It just lost.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely does Daryl Paine again. Perfection Dog Training Perfection
- 31:38Speaker 3: dog Training dot Com comes in once a month to
- 31:40Speaker 3: talk about your dog's behavior, and we do take questions.
- 31:44Speaker 3: We'll do that around four o'clock. We just kind of
- 31:46Speaker 3: get Daryl acclimated to the studio before we start taking questions,
- 31:49Speaker 3: kind of talk about some things going on, and again
- 31:51Speaker 3: when we go to break, you can load up the
- 31:52Speaker 3: phones and we'll answer all those questions for you at
- 31:54Speaker 3: four luck how you been first thing I've been traveling? Yeah, Yeah,
- 31:57Speaker 3: we went on.
- 31:58Speaker 11: We actually landed in England on Thanksgiving Day, not that
- 32:02Speaker 11: they knew that because they don't celebrate it. Nothing to
- 32:04Speaker 11: be thankful for.
- 32:05Speaker 3: There were you painted such a miserable picture of it,
- 32:10Speaker 3: and then you told me I should go. You got
- 32:11Speaker 3: to get over there. Thankful one to hear.
- 32:13Speaker 11: That's what Thanksgivings here. See they were left and now
- 32:15Speaker 11: all thanks will be here. Yeah, we've got their Thanksgiving Day.
- 32:19Speaker 11: And we were there for five weeks.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Which was great, glorious, huh, it was.
- 32:22Speaker 11: It was really great. You know. It's just nice to
- 32:25Speaker 11: be there at Christmas because he gets dark at three
- 32:27Speaker 11: o'clock in the afternoon.
- 32:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's cool because isn't England like the same
- 32:31Speaker 3: as like maybe the weather in New York or.
- 32:33Speaker 11: It's exactly like you know, any any weather your system,
- 32:37Speaker 11: any weather system you see go through New York. Really,
- 32:40Speaker 11: that's what England's going to be like now, right right right.
- 32:41Speaker 11: It just seemed to go straight across the Atlantic and
- 32:44Speaker 11: they get the same weather. So they've just had a
- 32:46Speaker 11: massive storm, massive storm. You know, they go on about
- 32:48Speaker 11: massive storm. You know, we wouldn't battle eyelid about it.
- 32:51Speaker 11: It's like nineteen ninety mile an hour winds and we're like, yeah.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Call me when there are one hundred and fifty mile
- 32:58Speaker 3: an hour exactly. So a good trip, good, everything was fine.
- 33:03Speaker 11: Yeah, it was lovely. They spent a couple of days
- 33:04Speaker 11: in London where I didn't see one police officer. Shocking, Yeah,
- 33:07Speaker 11: they don't. They just well they got rid of a
- 33:09Speaker 11: fifth of the police there really. So now you years
- 33:14Speaker 11: ago when I when I was placing the streets there,
- 33:16Speaker 11: you couldn't throw a stick without hitting the cop. Not
- 33:18Speaker 11: they were allowed to do that, but they were everywhere
- 33:21Speaker 11: on foot. You know, we had the dogs out, we had.
- 33:24Speaker 5: All always saw police in London now always.
- 33:28Speaker 11: Saw one cargo past. That was it?
- 33:29Speaker 3: I for years, wasn't that part of your identity? Was it?
- 33:33Speaker 3: The Bobby's Yeah, the Bobby's out there. I mean I
- 33:35Speaker 3: know that, I know that's more. But what I'm saying
- 33:37Speaker 3: is even beyond that. I mean, London, uh in England
- 33:41Speaker 3: in general, had the reputation of having the cops that
- 33:44Speaker 3: would be walking the streets, the beat cops.
- 33:46Speaker 11: And that's the thing I really liked that. And it
- 33:48Speaker 11: was they were as visible as London taxis, London buses,
- 33:52Speaker 11: you know everything else. You know, when I was patrolling
- 33:55Speaker 11: the streets. We used to wear the you know, the
- 33:56Speaker 11: big helmet, the shiny the shiny silver buttons, and you know,
- 34:00Speaker 11: it looked the part. Now you know, they're dressed like security.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Guards if you see them at all, pair of military stuff.
- 34:08Speaker 11: Yeah. And it's a shame because I think it's lost
- 34:10Speaker 11: a lot of the old the old style copper you know,
- 34:14Speaker 11: in those days where you know you could go and
- 34:16Speaker 11: get friendly advice and everything else. I think, you know,
- 34:19Speaker 11: it's a shame they've lost that.
- 34:20Speaker 7: I hated it when they were going to get ready
- 34:22Speaker 7: to change the siren from the you know, the English
- 34:25Speaker 7: sounding siren that we know to our assiren.
- 34:28Speaker 11: But when I started, we didn't have a silent sirens.
- 34:31Speaker 11: We had bells, a bell, a bell, yeah, and it
- 34:33Speaker 11: was electronic bell.
- 34:37Speaker 3: Seventeen hundred arrested somebody and an angel got a twins.
- 34:42Speaker 11: I had a whistle, you know, they issued me with
- 34:44Speaker 11: a whistles really yeah, and then the old going back
- 34:47Speaker 11: in the old days because there were no radios. Well,
- 34:50Speaker 11: I had radios, but in the old days when my
- 34:52Speaker 11: dad joined, there were no radios, and if you needed help,
- 34:54Speaker 11: you'd blow your whistle three times in the direction you
- 34:57Speaker 11: thought there might be help, which course nowadays is nowhere.
- 35:01Speaker 3: And they've shown that movies before, right they have they
- 35:04Speaker 3: rip it on that whistle trying to get more cops
- 35:06Speaker 3: to come around.
- 35:07Speaker 11: Yeah. I don't even issue whistles anyway. It's sad. It's sad.
- 35:10Speaker 7: You know.
- 35:10Speaker 3: One thing we've never talked about when you're in here,
- 35:12Speaker 3: we've never talked about what it's like to own an
- 35:14Speaker 3: animal in England because I don't know if the how
- 35:17Speaker 3: what the rules are different, like the protocol for owning
- 35:20Speaker 3: an animal? Are the regulations for dogs you can own there?
- 35:24Speaker 11: There's a lot strict so with regards to some animals.
- 35:27Speaker 11: I mean there was a couple in Chelsea in the
- 35:30Speaker 11: sixties they had a lion. You could have pretty much
- 35:34Speaker 11: anything in those days, but now you know, specialist animals,
- 35:38Speaker 11: you know, you couldn't you can't have them. A lot
- 35:39Speaker 11: of the stuff you can have here you can't have there.
- 35:43Speaker 3: But they breed specific there, like I mean you know
- 35:45Speaker 3: here that obviously we we have now designated some of
- 35:49Speaker 3: these dogs as troublesome. Do they have that same designation there?
- 35:52Speaker 3: Do they?
- 35:53Speaker 11: They did it, they did, yeah, they did it first
- 35:55Speaker 11: nineteen ninety one the dangerous dog that came in in England,
- 35:59Speaker 11: and they and four breeds of dogs straight away, of
- 36:02Speaker 11: which the only dog that was actually there was the
- 36:05Speaker 11: pitbull terrier. It's now five breeds because they've added the
- 36:09Speaker 11: excel bully now, so the there are five band breeds
- 36:13Speaker 11: of dogs. But exotic animals you really can't have without
- 36:18Speaker 11: a special license. And the stipulations for that are so
- 36:22Speaker 11: strict with regards to you know, twenty foot fences and stuff.
- 36:26Speaker 3: But they're built to keep it from doing it.
- 36:28Speaker 11: Yeah, absolutely, you know, it's a very regulated in England's
- 36:32Speaker 11: a very regulated place. But for domestic animals and stuff
- 36:36Speaker 11: like that, only dogs there is a much nicer experience.
- 36:41Speaker 3: How could that be?
- 36:43Speaker 11: Well, you can. You know, we went to several several
- 36:46Speaker 11: pubs while we were there, actually you quite a few actually, wow, No,
- 36:52Speaker 11: But in every pub we went to there were dogs there.
- 36:55Speaker 11: We went to one particular pub pretty much every Sunday
- 36:58Speaker 11: for like a Sunday roast, know pot roasting, and the
- 37:02Speaker 11: local dogs from the houses nearby everyone and then one
- 37:06Speaker 11: would walk in and just wander around, and everyone out
- 37:09Speaker 11: and go back home again.
- 37:10Speaker 3: And he was just going around.
- 37:12Speaker 11: So you go to the pubs and there's dogs laying there,
- 37:14Speaker 11: you know, eating chips, and you know, you give them
- 37:16Speaker 11: SERPs of beer.
- 37:19Speaker 3: I think that's the coolest thing in the world. Where
- 37:22Speaker 3: there's a bar, cat or something like that, there's something
- 37:25Speaker 3: that lives there. I think that's kind of.
- 37:26Speaker 11: Cool, gives it a vibe. Oh yeah, I've got a
- 37:28Speaker 11: picture of my son's dog. We took him over there
- 37:30Speaker 11: a couple of years ago and he's sitting at the
- 37:31Speaker 11: bar being served.
- 37:32Speaker 3: The private beer. You didn't have to quarantine, no, not.
- 37:35Speaker 11: If you get a pet passport, you don't have to.
- 37:38Speaker 11: It's it's a bit of a world to go through
- 37:40Speaker 11: to get it. But once you've got it, you know,
- 37:43Speaker 11: you as long as you've got the right paperwork, then
- 37:46Speaker 11: you can go straight in. It's it's not a problem now,
- 37:48Speaker 11: but they are still very hot on rabias. But owning
- 37:50Speaker 11: a dog there there's so many places to run your
- 37:53Speaker 11: dog on common Land. And there's something we're sadly missing
- 37:56Speaker 11: here is common land, because you know, one hundred fifty
- 38:00Speaker 11: years ago or two hundred years ago, someone had the
- 38:02Speaker 11: bright idea, let's all get four sticks, run round and
- 38:05Speaker 11: own all the land, right, stay it all from the Indians,
- 38:09Speaker 11: and so now everything's owned by everybody. Yeah, and so
- 38:13Speaker 11: there's nowhere really that you can run a dog except
- 38:16Speaker 11: a dog pump, and they are almost specifically built wrong.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Let me tell you what's really odd that you say that? Right, So,
- 38:23Speaker 3: I never thought about this before, although I do think
- 38:26Speaker 3: this is odd. Almost every at least twice a week,
- 38:30Speaker 3: I pass a woman off of four to twenty nine
- 38:34Speaker 3: and she takes her dog to a specific part of
- 38:36Speaker 3: the four twenty nine. She pulls off to the side
- 38:38Speaker 3: of the road because off to the side of the
- 38:40Speaker 3: road there's one of these big it's like a retention pond,
- 38:43Speaker 3: but the way it was built, it never collects water.
- 38:46Speaker 3: So it's this giant swath of perfectly manicured grass perfectly
- 38:52Speaker 3: And she takes her dog out there and she runs
- 38:54Speaker 3: the hell out of him, right off the side of
- 38:56Speaker 3: the highway. And I'm guessing it's probably because it's exactly
- 38:58Speaker 3: what you say. There really aren't probably the glands where
- 39:00Speaker 3: you can do that. Have you got to a public
- 39:02Speaker 3: park and trying to do that? They're three in jail, Darryl.
- 39:04Speaker 3: How are they built wrong? Here?
- 39:07Speaker 11: They're too small, so you're getting a lot of dogs
- 39:10Speaker 11: in a very small area. What happens is if you
- 39:13Speaker 11: turn up at a dog park, you're going through through
- 39:15Speaker 11: the gate with your dog on a leash, it gets
- 39:18Speaker 11: greeted by six or seven other dogs that are already
- 39:20Speaker 11: formed a pack. They surround it. They all want to
- 39:23Speaker 11: sniff it and work out their pack order now because
- 39:25Speaker 11: it's changed and this is it's like a tinder box
- 39:29Speaker 11: at that point. And if you can't get the leash
- 39:32Speaker 11: off quick enough and the dog starts to freak out,
- 39:35Speaker 11: and then you've got too many dogs in a small place.
- 39:39Speaker 11: People aren't really picking up after their dogs because it's
- 39:41Speaker 11: all on their phone. So you've got a small area
- 39:44Speaker 11: that's really covered in poop as well and disease. In
- 39:48Speaker 11: England all parks off for everyone, so you go to
- 39:51Speaker 11: a park if they're playing soccer, then you know you
- 39:54Speaker 11: don't run your dog on the pitch, but that's not
- 39:56Speaker 11: once a week, so other than that you can run
- 39:59Speaker 11: your dog. When I when I lived there, we would
- 40:01Speaker 11: run our dogs. We'd go for perhaps forty five minutes.
- 40:04Speaker 11: The dogs would do about twenty miles. We might meet
- 40:07Speaker 11: five or six other dogs along the way. In you know,
- 40:09Speaker 11: in forty five minutes to an hour. But they've got
- 40:12Speaker 11: plenty of time to reassess, to assess each other. So
- 40:16Speaker 11: by the time they meet, if they're going to fight,
- 40:18Speaker 11: they ignore each other. If they're going to play, they play.
- 40:21Speaker 11: Here they're on top of each other.
- 40:23Speaker 4: In England, do they do a better job of picking
- 40:25Speaker 4: up after their dogs or is it about the same.
- 40:28Speaker 11: It's about the same in all honesty. I think the
- 40:30Speaker 11: phone culture's probably killed that I had the best place
- 40:33Speaker 11: to run my dog. I'd run my police dog in
- 40:35Speaker 11: Buckham Palace and.
- 40:36Speaker 3: The that's a nice little word.
- 40:39Speaker 11: It was nice, ye, something nice about your dog pooping
- 40:41Speaker 11: in the palace for.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Four one? All right, if you have questions for Darryl
- 40:46Speaker 3: Pine from pive ECX and dog draining, lot them up. Now.
- 40:48Speaker 3: We'll take a little break. We'll come back on the
- 40:50Speaker 3: four o'clock hour and we'll start taking questions. So if
- 40:52Speaker 3: you have one, Cole now we'll take those next.
- 41:00Speaker 6: Man.
- 41:00Speaker 4: Gee, Yeah, I got a cat dog too.
- 41:03Speaker 3: She follows me around like a puppy, so I call
- 41:06Speaker 3: her puppy.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Cat name is boots, Like these boots are made for
- 41:11Speaker 4: walking a boosy Collins or whatever.
- 41:13Speaker 7: But n if.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Everywhere I go on the farm.
- 41:16Speaker 8: She's right next to me and on.
- 41:19Speaker 11: Me and are on the goat on my mule, and yeah,
- 41:24Speaker 11: it's awesome.
- 41:25Speaker 3: She's weird. She's like a dog. Pay that is your
- 41:34Speaker 3: fork luck. You weren't t a y Go to real
- 41:36Speaker 3: radio Outephiman send that offer your chance in a thousand bucks. Hey,
- 41:39Speaker 3: you'll do it, guys, that is your fork luck. You
- 41:41Speaker 3: were good luck. I'm Jim. There's deb Hello, Jack is
- 41:44Speaker 3: here as well. Left you animal House.
- 41:46Speaker 2: She likes them fuzzy, furry, feathery, tough and scaly. It's
- 41:52Speaker 2: time for Animal House with Roberts.
- 41:55Speaker 7: And as always, Animal House is generously brought to you
- 41:58Speaker 7: each and every week by personally injury attorney Glenn Klausman
- 42:01Speaker 7: over a Klosman Law. We'll tell you how you can
- 42:03Speaker 7: get in touch with Glenn at the end of the segment.
- 42:05Speaker 5: But now put your hands.
- 42:07Speaker 7: Together for the official welcome of Darryl Payne, a pawfection
- 42:10Speaker 7: doc training.
- 42:14Speaker 3: I's sponsored, hew, you do all right. So obviously Daryl
- 42:21Speaker 3: runs pawfection dog training with his wife Penny, and they
- 42:24Speaker 3: have a couple of places in Orlando where you can
- 42:26Speaker 3: go and take your dog. On Saturdays. They do these
- 42:28Speaker 3: open clinics, but you can also have Darryl or Penny
- 42:31Speaker 3: come to your house and do an in home training
- 42:33Speaker 3: session for your for your pet, which we get a
- 42:36Speaker 3: lot of here on the show.
- 42:37Speaker 11: I'm getting law puppies at the moment.
- 42:39Speaker 7: And speaking of that, I bet it's who doesn't love
- 42:42Speaker 7: a Poplin though, But someone did text us at seven
- 42:45Speaker 7: seven zero three one saying they're a new dog owner
- 42:48Speaker 7: they have a two month old mini docs in oh.
- 42:54Speaker 3: I've had two of those.
- 42:55Speaker 7: Trying to get a second favorite dog off to the
- 42:57Speaker 7: English pool, trying to a hold of the nipping and biting.
- 43:02Speaker 7: I know he's a pop but what's a good reinforcement
- 43:05Speaker 7: for puppies to get away from biting their owner?
- 43:08Speaker 11: Well, you know what the books tell you that when
- 43:10Speaker 11: the puppy bites you, you should give it something else to
- 43:13Speaker 11: take its mind off. You don't do that, and the
- 43:16Speaker 11: reason is because unless there's a consequence between the bite
- 43:21Speaker 11: and the distraction, the distraction becomes a reward. So the
- 43:23Speaker 11: dog will then bite you for the reward. So you
- 43:26Speaker 11: need to correct the dog. But not all dogs are
- 43:28Speaker 11: the same. And this is the thing, this is why
- 43:30Speaker 11: we go to people's houses. Not all dogs are the
- 43:32Speaker 11: same and different dogs need different methods of correction. None
- 43:37Speaker 11: of them need anything that's going to be paying for
- 43:39Speaker 11: or physical. None of them need to be afraid of you.
- 43:41Speaker 11: So it's really striking that balance between providing an effective
- 43:47Speaker 11: consequence which will stop them doing the behavior you don't
- 43:50Speaker 11: want them to do without them becoming afraid of you,
- 43:53Speaker 11: and without hurting them or destroying their confidence, because again,
- 43:57Speaker 11: puppies are puppies and like kids, they have to go
- 44:00Speaker 11: through a kindergarten period where you know, life is happy,
- 44:03Speaker 11: but they need some boundaries as well, and that's really
- 44:06Speaker 11: why we're so busy with puppies at the moments. Obviously
- 44:09Speaker 11: puppy season, but people who are getting the idea get
- 44:13Speaker 11: on board early, get on you know, when the puppies
- 44:15Speaker 11: eight weeks old. We teach the human first about what
- 44:20Speaker 11: to do, when to do it, how to do it,
- 44:21Speaker 11: why they're doing it, like the instruction book that didn't
- 44:24Speaker 11: come with the puppy that should have done. So they're
- 44:27Speaker 11: doing the right thing and they don't mess the puppy up.
- 44:29Speaker 11: You know, we had we had a guy that was
- 44:32Speaker 11: supposed to be trained, you know this week, and unfortunately
- 44:35Speaker 11: he went into a hospital. His sons now sent the
- 44:38Speaker 11: dog off for board and train. It's about the worst
- 44:42Speaker 11: thing you can do with the puppy in my opinion,
- 44:44Speaker 11: because you know, you need to train the puppy with
- 44:47Speaker 11: the owner in its own environment and not do too
- 44:50Speaker 11: much discipline with a puppy too young. It has to
- 44:52Speaker 11: be just the right amount, and that's why we always
- 44:55Speaker 11: suggest when people have got puppies, we go over assess
- 44:58Speaker 11: their dogs specific to their needs.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Yeah, all right for A seven nine one six four one.
- 45:02Speaker 3: That is the number to call if you have a
- 45:04Speaker 3: question for Darryl. Phone lines are open you grab that.
- 45:07Speaker 3: You can also text your question in A seven seven
- 45:09Speaker 3: zero three one. We actually just got went in a
- 45:11Speaker 3: second ago. I asked Darryl if my Maltese actually needs
- 45:15Speaker 3: a freaking sweater to stay warm. Seriously, I have a
- 45:20Speaker 3: sweater for my little dog. She loves it. She actually
- 45:22Speaker 3: brings us her sweater to put on her.
- 45:24Speaker 11: I mean, generally dogs are designed not to need clothing.
- 45:30Speaker 11: But having said that, we said generally, we have to
- 45:36Speaker 11: look at the fact that you know, we've got lots
- 45:38Speaker 11: of different breeds that really come from different places, so
- 45:41Speaker 11: you've got a lot of very short haired dogs that
- 45:43Speaker 11: press would be better in hot a climates or you know,
- 45:47Speaker 11: we've got huskies in Florida which really aren't built for
- 45:50Speaker 11: and so in some respects there are some dogs that
- 45:54Speaker 11: don't have as much you know, covering that they need
- 45:58Speaker 11: for the extreme cold. Now, I mean it's about cold.
- 46:02Speaker 11: Who's going to get in Florida now, So I mean,
- 46:03Speaker 11: there's nothing wrong with putting a jumper on, you know,
- 46:05Speaker 11: as long as.
- 46:06Speaker 3: It's cute Thanksgiving and Christmas theme.
- 46:10Speaker 11: We thought they were beautiful, but you don't actually need
- 46:13Speaker 11: to dress them up every day. But if it is
- 46:14Speaker 11: really cold and you're you know you've got I mean,
- 46:16Speaker 11: if you've got a Mexican hairless you might want to
- 46:18Speaker 11: go something on that, that's.
- 46:19Speaker 3: For sure, Tim Textan. It's that I got an eighteen
- 46:21Speaker 3: month old Great Dean, one of your other favorite breeds
- 46:24Speaker 3: from Sublime to the Ridiculous, and it's now jumping up
- 46:29Speaker 3: to hug people. So you know, it's just one of
- 46:31Speaker 3: those things that's all of these people the dog needs
- 46:32Speaker 3: to jump up. I'm guessing what he probably means is
- 46:36Speaker 3: like he's you know, getting on his home legs and
- 46:38Speaker 3: trying to you know, trying to jump up on you. Yeah,
- 46:41Speaker 3: we're jumping up.
- 46:41Speaker 11: I mean it's excitement, but it is actually also dominance
- 46:46Speaker 11: what they're doing. They're trying to work out how dominant
- 46:49Speaker 11: you are. When you come in, they jump on you.
- 46:51Speaker 11: You go into people's houses, the dogs jump all over you.
- 46:53Speaker 11: They're not just going oh yeah, yeah, hi John, how
- 46:56Speaker 11: are you and all this kind of thing. They're going, okay,
- 46:58Speaker 11: who are you? Yeah you submissive? Where do you fit here?
- 47:02Speaker 11: So again, we want to find a correction for that dog.
- 47:05Speaker 11: That isn't going to stop the excitement and the enthusiasm
- 47:08Speaker 11: for meeting people. But we, you know, we do need
- 47:13Speaker 11: to stop it because with a great time. Yeah get
- 47:16Speaker 11: to eighty year old Grannie comes in the window.
- 47:20Speaker 3: Super dangerous man. Yeah yeah no.
- 47:22Speaker 7: Somebody speaking of huskies texted in again. If you want
- 47:25Speaker 7: to text us a question seven seven zero three one.
- 47:28Speaker 7: They have two male huskies and they want to get
- 47:30Speaker 7: a third. Is it better to introduce another male or
- 47:33Speaker 7: a female?
- 47:34Speaker 3: Is it that they just want their house to continually
- 47:37Speaker 3: be a howling mess?
- 47:39Speaker 10: Man?
- 47:39Speaker 3: I just saw some videos of a husky this morning,
- 47:41Speaker 3: and it is I don't know how people do it.
- 47:44Speaker 11: Well, let me tell you. I wouldn't get a third No, no,
- 47:47Speaker 11: I really wouldn't. You know, when you a male and
- 47:49Speaker 11: a female is a nice pairing, you know they'll get on.
- 47:51Speaker 11: The female will dominate the male, because that's what happens
- 47:54Speaker 11: in life.
- 47:55Speaker 3: You said that kind of wistfully. It kind of trailed
- 47:59Speaker 3: on for the record deeply.
- 48:02Speaker 11: My thirtieth anniversary of this year, A sad hung dog.
- 48:06Speaker 3: Look, congratulations.
- 48:08Speaker 11: So yeah, a male and a female get on. Well,
- 48:11Speaker 11: I mean, two males not ideal and two females not ideal,
- 48:15Speaker 11: but they will find their level. As soon as you
- 48:17Speaker 11: bring a third in, unless it identifies as something other
- 48:20Speaker 11: than male or female, which I suppose is possible these days,
- 48:23Speaker 11: then you're going to have a problem because if you
- 48:25Speaker 11: bring a female in, it's going to team up, right.
- 48:27Speaker 11: Then the female is going to see it as competition.
- 48:29Speaker 11: If you bring a male in, the male is going
- 48:30Speaker 11: to see it as a competition. So there's no easy
- 48:33Speaker 11: way of having three dogs unless we introduce a new sex.
- 48:36Speaker 11: So my advice would be, don't get a third dog.
- 48:38Speaker 11: Enjoy the two you've got, because otherwise you'll be calling
- 48:40Speaker 11: me going, oh god, everything was great, and now we've
- 48:43Speaker 11: got this third dog and everything's gone to pieces.
- 48:45Speaker 3: Somebody takes it and says, why is now my five
- 48:47Speaker 3: year old dog seeming to lose his manners after being
- 48:50Speaker 3: a saint for four years? Something you had to have
- 48:53Speaker 3: changed in the household.
- 48:53Speaker 11: Right, Well, it can do. But also the age there
- 48:56Speaker 11: kicks in when dogs are proper grown up dogs at
- 49:00Speaker 11: about four to five years old, So it's probably just
- 49:03Speaker 11: a case if something hasn't actually triggered this, and it
- 49:07Speaker 11: can be something where you know, we're hot on the
- 49:11Speaker 11: correction and the discipline and the training and stuff like that.
- 49:14Speaker 11: Once they get to about this age, we kind of
- 49:16Speaker 11: slack off and go, oh, yeah, everything's fine. You I've
- 49:18Speaker 11: got the great dog. And that's where things can change,
- 49:21Speaker 11: where the dog starts to sense that maybe there's a
- 49:23Speaker 11: lack of leadership that starts taking over that role. Or
- 49:26Speaker 11: it can just be that the dog has grown up
- 49:28Speaker 11: and gone right, well, I think I'll just have a
- 49:30Speaker 11: shot at the top job. So it maybe it's probably
- 49:36Speaker 11: age related, and it's definitely age related if nothing else
- 49:39Speaker 11: has changed.
- 49:40Speaker 3: Yeah, real quick, I know we have a couple of
- 49:42Speaker 3: other questions, and I know Deb's gonna have one real quick,
- 49:43Speaker 3: but I just wanted to ask you, because I've wanted
- 49:45Speaker 3: to ask this a couple of weeks. I always forget
- 49:47Speaker 3: is it harder for you guys to train animals that
- 49:49Speaker 3: have been in shelters for a while. Like if a
- 49:52Speaker 3: dog has been in a shelter for like two or
- 49:53Speaker 3: three or four months and it's almost become acclimated to
- 49:56Speaker 3: that almost what do they call that in the movies Institutionalize,
- 49:59Speaker 3: where it's used to the life in a shelter. Is
- 50:02Speaker 3: it more difficult to train those animals than maybe an
- 50:04Speaker 3: animal you get from a breeder.
- 50:07Speaker 11: In an ideal world, you know, we wouldn't need shelters, Yeah,
- 50:11Speaker 11: you know, which brings us back to sort of irresponsible
- 50:14Speaker 11: breeding and lack of regulation and stuff like that. Without
- 50:18Speaker 11: a doubt, being in a shelter for a period of
- 50:20Speaker 11: time does put a different dynamic on things. Especially some
- 50:24Speaker 11: of the shelters, or most shelters that I've been to,
- 50:27Speaker 11: are designed so we've got cages looking at each other,
- 50:31Speaker 11: so the dogs are actually facing each other, and they
- 50:34Speaker 11: can develop A nice dog can develop what we call
- 50:37Speaker 11: cage rage, where the dog opposite, if it's aggressive, is
- 50:41Speaker 11: barking at it and staring at it the whole time.
- 50:43Speaker 11: That kind of thing. It promotes a sort of a
- 50:46Speaker 11: defensive response in the form of aggression, and dogs that
- 50:51Speaker 11: weren't aggressive when they in can become more dog aggressive
- 50:54Speaker 11: by the time they come out. So in an ideal
- 50:56Speaker 11: world they wouldn't need to go into shelters. It really
- 50:59Speaker 11: depends on the shelter and the experience they have in
- 51:01Speaker 11: the shelters. So, you know what, shelters do a great job.
- 51:03Speaker 11: They do the best job they can. I wish there
- 51:06Speaker 11: was more money for them, So yeah, for sure they
- 51:08Speaker 11: could do an ideal job, but they do their best.
- 51:11Speaker 11: And it's a shame the irresponsible breeding and people giving
- 51:16Speaker 11: up on their dogs. You know, dogs get to about
- 51:19Speaker 11: ten months and that's the optimum time where people tend
- 51:22Speaker 11: to give up on them because they've come through the
- 51:24Speaker 11: puppy stage. They go into the teenage stage and they go,
- 51:27Speaker 11: you know, I'm not doing this anymore. We went through
- 51:29Speaker 11: the puppy stage and now the dog's playing up. It
- 51:31Speaker 11: is just the dog pushing the boundaries. They give the
- 51:34Speaker 11: dog up, it goes into the shelter and then it
- 51:37Speaker 11: really can be a bit of a spiral down and
- 51:39Speaker 11: the longer they're there, undoubtedly the worst it is.
- 51:42Speaker 3: But definitely anything you can't get out of there for sure.
- 51:44Speaker 3: So Oskar is calling, let's get to find out what
- 51:46Speaker 3: he has. Ask her, how are you doing? You're welcome
- 51:47Speaker 3: to the show. You're talking to Daryl Pine from Perfection
- 51:49Speaker 3: Dog Training.
- 51:51Speaker 13: Hey, jo here you guys, anybody big question? So I
- 51:55Speaker 13: have three sits who multi sisters, which they're all rescues.
- 52:00Speaker 13: But I was getting the I was getting them to
- 52:03Speaker 13: be home trained, and then we wound up getting another
- 52:08Speaker 13: another rescue, which is a mixed terrier mixed, and that's
- 52:12Speaker 13: a male. So now what's going on is that now
- 52:15Speaker 13: the two males are peeing all over the house.
- 52:19Speaker 11: And uh, I can hit it back then barking, parking,
- 52:22Speaker 11: don't forget the barking.
- 52:24Speaker 13: And the terrier, and the terrier keeps like trewing everything
- 52:29Speaker 13: and I can't have I can't stop them from barking.
- 52:32Speaker 3: What can I do? Hey, just listen to the radio.
- 52:34Speaker 11: But yeah, coolers is the best thing. You've got four
- 52:37Speaker 11: dogs there, You've got a pack of dogs. You've changed
- 52:39Speaker 11: the dynamic in it. You've brought another male in. There's
- 52:41Speaker 11: a peeing contest going on because the one that's there
- 52:45Speaker 11: is feeling vulnerable that it's it's territory has been invaded,
- 52:49Speaker 11: so it's pein. The new one's peeing on the pee,
- 52:52Speaker 11: the old one will peel on the pee on the
- 52:53Speaker 11: p and so it goes on. You've got a couple
- 52:56Speaker 11: of females there. So the whole dynamic has changed in
- 52:59Speaker 11: your house. Also, obviously, the terriers come with its own
- 53:03Speaker 11: problems with the chewing, which is normally boredom. So there's
- 53:09Speaker 11: a few things we have to deal with there. We've
- 53:11Speaker 11: got to deal with the boredom on the terrier. We've
- 53:14Speaker 11: got to deal with the barking, which is catching. You know,
- 53:17Speaker 11: one starts barking, they all start barking. With the rescue terrier.
- 53:21Speaker 11: If it's come in, it's going to teach the other
- 53:22Speaker 11: three or the bad habits as well. They don't teach
- 53:25Speaker 11: other good habits particularly, So we've got to get hold
- 53:29Speaker 11: of the whole situation. Give them all what they need,
- 53:32Speaker 11: not just the discipline and the correction, but also give
- 53:36Speaker 11: the ones that have got a high energy drive like
- 53:39Speaker 11: the terrier, something to do. Otherwise the little ones are
- 53:42Speaker 11: going to become more more like toys, and terriers have
- 53:46Speaker 11: got a great play drive, and we don't want that
- 53:48Speaker 11: to go definitely wants so give us a call on
- 53:51Speaker 11: that one. I'd love to give you a quick answer
- 53:52Speaker 11: on the radio, but there really isn't one for the
- 53:54Speaker 11: amount you've got going on there.
- 53:56Speaker 7: So Daryl, where do folks call? Where do they go to?
- 54:00Speaker 7: Your website? Where's all that information?
- 54:02Speaker 11: If they want to give us a call, it's four
- 54:03Speaker 11: zero seven, four five six ten sixty six and Penny
- 54:09Speaker 11: will answer that one, and she'll talk you through the
- 54:12Speaker 11: whole thing and answer all your questions. You can onto
- 54:15Speaker 11: our website. It's Perfection Dog Training dot com. Better on
- 54:20Speaker 11: an iPad or laptop. It doesn't seem to be very
- 54:23Speaker 11: mobile friendly at the moment. We're working on that with
- 54:25Speaker 11: a new website, So Perfection Dog Training dot com. Or
- 54:28Speaker 11: if you want to join, out our Facebook page. It's
- 54:31Speaker 11: a members page because it keeps all the advertisers and
- 54:33Speaker 11: the bots out. It's Perfection Dog Training USA members page
- 54:38Speaker 11: and where it says, you know, why do you want
- 54:40Speaker 11: to join? Just put one O four one on there
- 54:42Speaker 11: and we'll let you in. It's a safe space. There's
- 54:44Speaker 11: no politics, religion, there's no arguing, no backbitings. Yeah, you know,
- 54:48Speaker 11: it's a nice place to be.
- 54:49Speaker 3: You can talk crap about bulldogs though that's my thinking
- 54:51Speaker 3: and French people and it's filled with Darryl's opinions.
- 54:55Speaker 11: Actually all European people at the moment, because they're really going
- 54:57Speaker 11: to my.
- 55:00Speaker 7: And of course I'll be posting the Animal House podcast
- 55:02Speaker 7: in the next couple of minutes just in case you
- 55:04Speaker 7: missed any of advice. But like I said earlier, Animal
- 55:06Speaker 7: House is brought to you by Glenn Closman over at Klosmanlaw.
- 55:10Speaker 7: So if you or someone you work with, maybe someone
- 55:12Speaker 7: you love, have been in any kind of an accident
- 55:14Speaker 7: to give be car, truck, motorcycle, leaving a slip and fall.
- 55:17Speaker 7: Here's why they need to call Glenn. Glenn isn't going
- 55:19Speaker 7: to pass you off to a caseworker. Glenn is going
- 55:21Speaker 7: to handle your case so much so he's going to
- 55:23Speaker 7: give you his personal cell phone number and then pick
- 55:26Speaker 7: it up when you call. It's just a couple of
- 55:27Speaker 7: reasons why year after year he's voted as super lawyer
- 55:31Speaker 7: and Leal Elite. He's also an animal lover and a
- 55:34Speaker 7: true friend of the show. So again, any kind of
- 55:36Speaker 7: an accident, give a call four seven nine one seven
- 55:39Speaker 7: seventeen eighteen or check them out online at klosmanlaw dot com.
- 55:43Speaker 5: That's k l a U s mnlaw dot com.
- 55:47Speaker 3: Thanks. I appreciate it very much. And for everybody who

- 55:55Speaker 3: to answer these questions for you. If you just get
- 55:57Speaker 3: online and ask this on Facebook, act quite well, or
- 56:01Speaker 3: call these guys and they don't answer your questions as well.
- 56:04Speaker 3: Like I said, we do have limited time. We do
- 56:05Speaker 3: appreciate your interaction though, and there are a ton of questions.
- 56:08Speaker 3: Just give with Darryl. He'll he will gladly answer that.
- 56:10Speaker 11: After there's no haunts. So Hi, give us a cool bomies.
- 56:13Speaker 11: We'll talk you through stuff. If we can fix it
- 56:14Speaker 11: on the phone, we will, you know, but you might
- 56:16Speaker 11: have a bigger problem you think.
- 56:17Speaker 3: Yeah, that's for sure, all right, but you can see
- 56:19Speaker 3: you as always man.

- 57:24Speaker 3: Look at you, buddy, freshly tanned.
- 57:27Speaker 5: I think he's frozen, frozen solid.
- 57:29Speaker 3: We just lost him. Oh no, my goodness alive. And
- 57:34Speaker 3: that great introduction. I'm not doing it again. That's pretty solid.
- 57:38Speaker 3: I'm not doing it again. He goes back. It's gonna
- 57:39Speaker 3: be here, Scott. That was pretty solid, ladies, gentlemen Scott.
- 57:42Speaker 3: There is ladies and gentlemen Scott.
- 57:45Speaker 4: The look on his face means he did it to himself.
- 57:48Speaker 4: He probably clicked disconnect instead an unmuter.
- 57:51Speaker 3: It's all that suntan lotion and the residue from poker
- 57:56Speaker 3: chips or our slot machines or something. What's going on, buddy? Sorry?
- 58:01Speaker 8: I think we had a blink here. How are you
- 58:03Speaker 8: guys doing today?
- 58:04Speaker 3: We're doing good, We're doing just fine. How how are
- 58:07Speaker 3: you well?
- 58:09Speaker 8: And in my defense, Jim, I'm half drunk right, okay.
- 58:11Speaker 3: Very nice?
- 58:12Speaker 4: I like that day the drunk dragon.
- 58:15Speaker 3: What's got you hammered atour twenty seven the afternoon? I'm
- 58:17Speaker 3: dying to know.
- 58:19Speaker 8: Actually, something I mentioned to you that I think you
- 58:22Speaker 8: might appreciate. This is the I don't think I've mentioned
- 58:25Speaker 8: this before, but this is the one hundred and fiftieth
- 58:27Speaker 8: birthday slash anniversary of The Orlando Sentinel, which is pretty impressive.
- 58:32Speaker 8: There aren't that many companies that have been around for
- 58:34Speaker 8: one hundred and fifty years. Agreat Orlando, and we are
- 58:38Speaker 8: doing all sorts of things to celebrate this year, and
- 58:41Speaker 8: one of the things is we are coming up with
- 58:43Speaker 8: a specially crafted whiskey in connection with one of your
- 58:48Speaker 8: friends over at Forward Slash Distillery.
- 58:52Speaker 3: Oh yeah, very cool.
- 58:53Speaker 8: So we had the final whiskey tasting to select the name,
- 58:58Speaker 8: to select what kind of whiskey is going to go
- 59:01Speaker 8: into our whiskey which is going to be called Old watch.
- 59:04Speaker 3: Dog Old watch Dog? Is that? Is that O L
- 59:08Speaker 3: E apostrophe or just O L apostrophe?
- 59:11Speaker 8: All I know is there's no D and there is
- 59:13Speaker 8: an apostrophe.
- 59:14Speaker 3: Yes, I think it's O L Oh.
- 59:16Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 59:17Speaker 8: And uh, and so we did a bunch of sampling
- 59:19Speaker 8: today and I got to tell you that there are
- 59:21Speaker 8: worse ways to spend an afternoon.
- 59:22Speaker 3: Yeah, so he needs a nap. That's great. So yeah,
- 59:28Speaker 3: we have been coming up with those guys soon that
- 59:30Speaker 3: I told you a little bit about today, we're really
- 59:32Speaker 3: excited about. We're going to share more about that a
- 59:33Speaker 3: little bit later this afternoon as well. So how was
- 59:36Speaker 3: your trip? Everything was good?
- 59:38Speaker 8: Yeah, it was good. And and I'm back on land
- 59:40Speaker 8: for a while. Now you're stuck with me whether you
- 59:42Speaker 8: want me or not on Wednesday.
- 59:44Speaker 3: That's fine. Then I guess we'll have to deal with it. Uh,
- 59:47Speaker 3: your column today was kind of interesting and uh, you know,
- 59:49Speaker 3: as I read it, I started smiling. And I tell
- 59:53Speaker 3: you why, because you know, we've talked on the air
- 59:55Speaker 3: before about the decorum of public officials before and how
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: you know, over the last ten years, specifically, it seems
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: like the decorum from our public officials has really kind
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: of dropped. I mean, how elected officials talk to their
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: constituents has changed dramatically. And I think no better case
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: to illustrate that than what you wrote about today.
- 1:00:19Speaker 10: It is.
- 1:00:19Speaker 8: And you know, sometimes I do segments and columns where
- 1:00:23Speaker 8: I get really worked up, but I got to tell you,
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: I was a little bit like you. I was just
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: kind of laughing at this one, because, yeah, I don't
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: know what else you can do. So there's a legislator
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: I believe he's Jack's legislator. Yeah he is, Yeah, some else,
- 1:00:37Speaker 8: Representative David Smith, who I will say, I don't think
- 1:00:40Speaker 8: it's the worst guy in Tallahassee. He's voted for a
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: few independent things, but mostly a party line Republican who's
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: you know, voted for things. That's a lot of things
- 1:00:49Speaker 8: I don't care for. But you know, anyway, he's a
- 1:00:51Speaker 8: Marine Corpvette. You know, I've sort of respected him through
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: the years. But this constituent of his send him an
- 1:00:59Speaker 8: email and in case in case you will actually I
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: know you know this, but in case your listeners don't know,
- 1:01:04Speaker 8: the governor has made it called for a plan to
- 1:01:06Speaker 8: redistrict the state and right in the middle of the
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: census sample. This is something that does not happen. I
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: don't think it's ever happened. If it has, somebody can
- 1:01:14Speaker 8: correct me on that. Certainly not in modern times. Usually
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: the way it works is every ten years there's a
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: census and they do redistricting. And this year you probably
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: read that. All of a sudden a few months ago,
- 1:01:24Speaker 8: Texas was like, oh, we're going to redistrict and draw
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: some more Republican districts. And then California responded, oh, hell yeah,
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: well then we're going to draw some more Democratic district
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: This is all a bunch of bs. I mean, they're
- 1:01:36Speaker 8: just blatantly talking about gerrymandering districts to you know, give
- 1:01:39Speaker 8: themselves more party. It's bad when the Republicans do it,
- 1:01:43Speaker 8: it's bad when the Democrats do yeah.
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: And they started doing this in Texas when they started
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: getting kind of getting a WHI that November wasn't going
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: to go their way that some of these policies weren't
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: really working. The economy wasn't coming around the way they
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: thought the immigration stuff. Of course, we can see what's
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: happening there, but you know, they kind of started getting
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: the feeling that the stuff that they started promising during
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: the campaign wasn't really happening, and they started freaking out
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: in panicking. And of course that's continuing because where they start,
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: where they started this redistrict cheam, they're way worse off
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: now than they were back in you know, three or
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: four months ago when they started this in text.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: And that's when California said, hold that's right.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: And then everybody started doing it. Now. Now the one
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: shining thing here isn't it Indiana? That is a Republican
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: red state that voted this down they tried to.
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: Run And I got to tell you there are there
- 1:02:33Speaker 8: are sober people on both sides of the isle who
- 1:02:36Speaker 8: were wildly opposed to UH jerry mandering. In fact, the
- 1:02:40Speaker 8: guy who one of the patriarchs of the Republican Party,
- 1:02:42Speaker 8: a guy named Tom Rumberger. He's dead now. He was
- 1:02:44Speaker 8: the founder of the Rumberger Law firm. I used to
- 1:02:47Speaker 8: talk to him. He's the one who led the charge
- 1:02:49Speaker 8: for fair districts back in twenty ten. He said, this
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: is bad, and he used to be he used to
- 1:02:54Speaker 8: be the attorney for the Republican Party, and basically what
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: he said was, I went into the back room where
- 1:02:59Speaker 8: these yuels were cut, and it's terrible. You shouldn't be
- 1:03:02Speaker 8: able to stack the deck before you get started. And
- 1:03:06Speaker 8: Democrats did it back in like the eight seventies and
- 1:03:08Speaker 8: the eighties, and Republicans said, so, we passed this amendment
- 1:03:11Speaker 8: and it was overwhelming pass I think it was sixty
- 1:03:13Speaker 8: three percent. Republicans, Democrats, independent supported it and said you
- 1:03:17Speaker 8: can't do gerrymandering in the state anymore. Basically, what that
- 1:03:20Speaker 8: means is you have to draw districts that make sense.
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: You know, Orange County is basically a district. Seminole County
- 1:03:25Speaker 8: is a district. Lines have to follow city city lines
- 1:03:29Speaker 8: and county lines like that. At one point in time,
- 1:03:31Speaker 8: Winter Park, if memory serves, was carved into three different
- 1:03:34Speaker 8: congressional districts, right, yeah, so that the black portion of
- 1:03:37Speaker 8: town went to another. John Micah's house have won. It's
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: so crazy, I'm not kidding, literally around his house, and
- 1:03:46Speaker 8: then went up to Saint Augustine.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: Yeah, because the East I mean, for people who do
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: not live around here, Winter Park is probably the most
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: the most affluent part of Orlando. I mean, the people
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: who live in winter Park like built the city of Orlando.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: So it's really affluent, some of the most if not
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: the most expensive property in all of Orlando. But they
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: also have Eastbrook and they also had Hannibal Square for years,
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: which are not the neighborhoods that have ten or fifteen
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: or twenty million dollar homes, that's right.
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: And so there's been this bipartisan crookery where John Micah
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: doesn't want Hannibal Square in his district because he doesn't
- 1:04:16Speaker 8: want poor black Democrats, and Corin Brown, who you may
- 1:04:19Speaker 8: remember got convicted and removed from office at one point
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: in time, did want them. So a lot of these
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: Democrats and Republicans worked together so they would sock all
- 1:04:27Speaker 8: the Democrats into a few districts. It's really bad. It's
- 1:04:30Speaker 8: so bad now that Florida definitely has more Republicans than Democrats,
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: there's no doubt about that. But they have thirty six
- 1:04:37Speaker 8: percent more voters and one hundred and fifty percent more
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: congressional seats. That so it's twenty to eight. So anyway,
- 1:04:46Speaker 8: Ronda Santas didn't carry. He said, you know what, I
- 1:04:48Speaker 8: want to do it anyway, I want to have a
- 1:04:49Speaker 8: special mid mid census redistricting. And the state House said
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: they wanted to do it, and the state Senate president
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: said they want to. So this constituent, his name is
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: Greg Loftus. He sends his legislator David Smith an email
- 1:05:02Speaker 8: that says, I don't think you should do this. Was
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: this a strongly worded email, absolutely it said. It basically
- 1:05:08Speaker 8: said like I think anybody who votes to Jerry Mander
- 1:05:12Speaker 8: when the state has said we have fair districts and
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: you can't do it, is guilty of treason. I think
- 1:05:16Speaker 8: you need to honor your oath to the Constitution and
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: do this. He wasn't expecting Representative David Smith to agree
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: with him, but he was also not expecting the response
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: that he got when David Smith said, I have a suggestion,
- 1:05:31Speaker 8: why don't you go f yourself? Except David Smith did
- 1:05:36Speaker 8: not say f.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, he wrote the word.
- 1:05:39Speaker 8: He wrote the word. Actually, I think what he said
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: was I would like to tell you to go f yourself,
- 1:05:43Speaker 8: but I won't.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: Right of course, he did by saying it. And it's
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: funny because one of the things I picked up because
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: he said something even worse later than later in the conversation.
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: But you know, you know, the first thing I thought
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: to myself is like, even if they stopped the email
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: there fifteen years ago, that gets this dude censured by
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: the Republican Party of Florida.
- 1:06:00Speaker 8: Well, you know, you and I are in a very
- 1:06:02Speaker 8: public light. I get people telling me to f myself
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: on a daily basis, you know, But that's not how
- 1:06:09Speaker 8: I can't remember responding that way, certainly not in a
- 1:06:12Speaker 8: column or correspond to my employees do it?
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: Yeah, myself, my team does it. They're not my employees.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: My team does it. They tell me to fall all
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: the way.
- 1:06:22Speaker 8: But the interesting thing was that after he said I
- 1:06:25Speaker 8: would like to tell you to go f yourself, but
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: I won't. After doing so, he also said, don't tell
- 1:06:30Speaker 8: me how to do my job. And that was part
- 1:06:32Speaker 8: of the part that caught my attention and the constituency
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: test attention. In fact, the constituents said, I don't really
- 1:06:39Speaker 8: care that he told me to go f myself. What
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: I do care is that he told me not to
- 1:06:43Speaker 8: not to tell him how to do his job, because
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: that's exactly how a representational democracy is supposed to work.
- 1:06:49Speaker 8: You're electing people. You know, we don't get to go
- 1:06:51Speaker 8: and vote on all these bills. You elect people to
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: vote on the bills. And the whole way it's supposed
- 1:06:56Speaker 8: to work is you're supposed to let your representatives know
- 1:06:59Speaker 8: how you'd like to vote. But it was pretty clear, Uh,
- 1:07:03Speaker 8: David Smith didn't think much.
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: Yeah, and in the these I guess in the context
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: of the letter that the gentleman wrote, he kind of
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: came at him a little bit, said he didn't think
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: he was doing a good job. And again, if you're
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: a public official, like you said with us deb Jacket,
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: somebody comes at you, you have to have thick skin
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: and learn how to deal with stuff like that without
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: reacting adversely. You know how many people I'd love to
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: text back to go f yourself that we can't just
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: simply because it's not part of our job. You can't
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: do that like you were just saying, I wrote.
- 1:07:29Speaker 8: In the column. I mean, I've had people say that
- 1:07:31Speaker 8: they wish harm on my wife and my children. Oh
- 1:07:34Speaker 8: my god, I have Yeah, illegal immigrants get hold of
- 1:07:37Speaker 8: your family. That's one I've gotten on social media quite
- 1:07:40Speaker 8: a few times. I have never told any of them
- 1:07:43Speaker 8: to go f themselves, even though some of them probably
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: should go through just that. But but but this is
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: this is sort of the argument for decency. I mean
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: that ship has sailed that. I mean, our our president
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: flipped a protester the bird, just like last month. I
- 1:08:02Speaker 8: mean what we had a representative, Randy Fine, who called
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: one of his political rivals a whore, and the voters
- 1:08:10Speaker 8: responded by promoting him to Congress. So I think that
- 1:08:15Speaker 8: shift to decency has sailed. But if they're not going
- 1:08:18Speaker 8: to listen to you and to tell you not to
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: tell them how to vote, then I think all hope
- 1:08:23Speaker 8: is lost. And I got several emails from readers that said, well,
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: what makes these folks think they can get away with it?
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: And I responded, because they can, because they absolutely can.
- 1:08:33Speaker 8: Because there was not There was only one incumbent in
- 1:08:37Speaker 8: the entire legislature who was voted out of office last
- 1:08:40Speaker 8: year from the majority party you know where we talked
- 1:08:43Speaker 8: about her before. It was Carolina Amsty. She was actively
- 1:08:47Speaker 8: under indictment and she only lost by one. So there's
- 1:08:53Speaker 8: a reason most legislators feel like they can say and
- 1:08:55Speaker 8: do whatever they want because they get returned to office
- 1:08:58Speaker 8: no matter what.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy, dude. Great peace. By the way, I
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: loved every bit of it. You have another one in
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: the other don't you have another one this afternoon as well?
- 1:09:06Speaker 8: I just posted Yeah, it's it's it's a little weird too.
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, you want to tease it a little bit,
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: but it's about the airport.
- 1:09:14Speaker 8: So yeah, And as deb mentioned, I caught the tail
- 1:09:17Speaker 8: into that when I was driving home from the distillery,
- 1:09:20Speaker 8: and uh, the notion is that they want to name
- 1:09:23Speaker 8: an airport after Donald Trump Donald J. International Donald J.
- 1:09:27Speaker 8: Trump International Airport down in uh Palm Beach, which you know,
- 1:09:30Speaker 8: that's not in my mind, that's not really that unusual.
- 1:09:34Speaker 8: This is the only president from the state of Florida.
- 1:09:36Speaker 8: It makes sense an airport might want to do that.
- 1:09:38Speaker 8: What doesn't quite make sense is that the people of
- 1:09:41Speaker 8: Palm Beach have previously said they don't want to do this.
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: And they owned the damn airport. Uh, well, can they
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: stop it? I mean, do they have power to stop it?
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: Or is that something that Fed's gonna overrule or yeah, well.
- 1:09:54Speaker 8: That's exactly what this bill does. That that there was
- 1:09:56Speaker 8: a lobbyist for the county who basically said, the county
- 1:09:59Speaker 8: is all good with it now. Now the county is
- 1:10:00Speaker 8: still a majority Democrats, so I'd be a little surprised
- 1:10:04Speaker 8: if the average Palm Beachian was saying they were down
- 1:10:06Speaker 8: with it. But the bill they passed wasn't just to
- 1:10:09Speaker 8: rename Palm Beach Airport Donald J. Trump International Airport. It
- 1:10:12Speaker 8: was to seize control of naming rights to every single
- 1:10:17Speaker 8: major airport in Florida. It mentions Orlando International is the
- 1:10:21Speaker 8: number one airport that there's listed, followed by Miami, followed
- 1:10:25Speaker 8: by Tampa, followed by jack Water. Yeah, and in case
- 1:10:28Speaker 8: people don't know, the state doesn't own these airports. These
- 1:10:31Speaker 8: are locally controlled thing. I think Orlando's is technically city owned,
- 1:10:35Speaker 8: but they are. The Senate advanced to bill Nino. Democrats
- 1:10:39Speaker 8: supported it too, because they're about as useless as a
- 1:10:41Speaker 8: screen door on a submarine. And they basically said that
- 1:10:46Speaker 8: from now on, if this bill passes, local communities have
- 1:10:49Speaker 8: no control over what they named their airport. The politicians
- 1:10:53Speaker 8: in Tallahassee, you're.
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: Going to do Yeah, Yeah, that's gonna be a whod
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: I wonder who they're gonna pick.
- 1:10:57Speaker 8: Yeah, I want to. And by the way, there are
- 1:10:59Speaker 8: about a zoo and other This is the Transportation Committee,
- 1:11:02Speaker 8: the Senate Transportation commit they're supposed to be dealing with
- 1:11:04Speaker 8: transportation issues. I can give you about twenty transportation issues.
- 1:11:08Speaker 8: This state has some of the most clogged roads in America.
- 1:11:11Speaker 8: We have more tolled roads than any other state even
- 1:11:14Speaker 8: in America. Even after you get on this that you
- 1:11:17Speaker 8: paid again on a toll road. How many times have
- 1:11:19Speaker 8: you driven on the turnpike without hitting congestion on there?
- 1:11:22Speaker 8: Four to zero eight? I mean yeah, these roads are airports,
- 1:11:25Speaker 8: if you want to talk about airport issuess are some
- 1:11:27Speaker 8: of the most delayed in America. One in two hour
- 1:11:31Speaker 8: delays are very common in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando.
- 1:11:34Speaker 8: There are lots of things they could be doing.
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: But but we have a c terminal.
- 1:11:39Speaker 8: We do it. It's a nice it's got the nicest lounge.

- 1:13:45Speaker 3: tribute bands Fleetwood, mac Red, Hot, Chili, Pepper's Queen. That's
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: just where it begins, plus a bunch of other cool
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: stuff as well, and of course you can always mean
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: our boy Jackson.
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: Yeah, it's gonna be a lot of fun. It's a
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: big festival atmosphere. They're really stepped up what they're doing
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: out there at box Park that I know Angel and
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: Ryan were there for a big event, you know, a
- 1:14:04Speaker 4: few weeks back, and I get to do this one.
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: It's February seventh and Super Bowl Saturday, right the day
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: before the Super Bowl, and it's going to be going
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: on all day and think till eleven o'clock that night.
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: But come for a little bit comfort a lot there,

- 1:14:26Speaker 3: I'm gonna I'm gonna research that Fleetwood Mac band because
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: my wife is a massive Fleetwood Mac fan. We actually
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: may slide out there with Fleetwood Mac set. That'd be
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: kind of cool. I love tribute bands. Actually in Mount
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: Dora this weekend. I believe there is it this weekend,
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: the Van Halen tribute bands coming out Jump. It's called Jump,
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: I believe it could be. And yeah, they're doing a
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: whole series that by the way, I don't know if
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: you know that. Oh really, Yeah, they're doing like a
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: series of eighties like tribute bands at that music hall
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: in Mount Dora, and the one for Van Halen. They've
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: ads on online and it looks great. It looks like
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: a lot of fun. They dress like up the whole
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: nine yards.
- 1:14:57Speaker 11: It's great.
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: So I may check that out or note.
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: Yeah, you could also just go to lakenonalive dot com
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: and you see all the info.
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: Yeah, right on. Okay, So we all know that mushrooms
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: have a reputation, right, some of them? Yeah, right, the
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: psychotropic ones. That's the word, right, So psychotropic is that right?
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: Sounds right? Psychotropic tropic sounds better, very nice. But the
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: one thing I haven't heard is is, have you, guys
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: ever heard that a certain mushroom gives you a certain experience?
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: Have you ever heard that? Now you know? Again, we
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: know a guy you may be on the show tomorrow
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: and Friday, who has had some experiences with mushrooms, right,
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: the kind that you know, make you see the stuff, right.
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: And I've never done mushrooms. I've never done anything that
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: makes you trip or anything like that, So I have
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: no idea of what it's like to trip, all right.
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: The people I've talked to kind of explain it the
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: same way. Things gets very colorful. They got to dance around,
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: you laugh a lot, You're very happy.
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: Depends you got to make sure they're you have a
- 1:16:00Speaker 7: clear mind, is what I've been told.
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, some people have bad trips, but I think
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: that's still relatively rare as long as you don't take
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: too much of that stuff. And that's what you get, right.
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: You hear everything from well, I can see, I can
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: hear colors, and I can see music and all these
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: other things.
- 1:16:17Speaker 5: I can taste the rainbow.
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: You can taste the rainbow.
- 1:16:19Speaker 11: Right.
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: You know they say you're we use what ten to
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: fifteen percent of our brain? Yeah, it feels like you're
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: using more like eighty or ninety percent.
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: Yeah, No, I think I think that's a myth anymore.
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: I don't think that fifteen per I'm saying with mushrooms,
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: what it feels like.
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: Oh, I see what you're saying. It's like you open
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: that door. Okay. Well, the reason, the reason of the
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: reason to me, now, the reason I bring this up
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: is there's been a story that's been out there for
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: about a week and I didn't really pay attention to it.
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: I read it and I was like, I don't know,
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: but it keeps coming up, so it's like a thing.
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: Now this is actually from the BBC, and it's a mushroom,
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: and it says every year doctors at the hospital and
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: the Yunan province of China have to brace themselves for
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: an influx of people with an unusual complaint because this
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: mushroom grows in that area and it's consumed and I
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: think it's consumed as a just as a food, but
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: you have if you don't cook it properly, you can
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: get some of these psychotropic experiences. This one is unique
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: for a reason. What do you think this particular mushroom
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: makes you see God? I'll give you a couple of guesses.
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: God is not the answer. Ghosts. It doesn't make you
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: see ghosts. That's Sam darnold.
- 1:17:35Speaker 7: Ah.
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: Aliens not aliens. One more Jack and I'll let you know. Uh.
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: You can see music. That's a good one. You're ready.
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: You see tiny people. This particular mushroom has the same
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: experience for every user. Scientists cannot figure it out, but
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: they say that when you look, you see tiny people,
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: a couple two or three inches tall, everywhere, crawling over
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: your food, crawl under the doors, jumping from one side
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: of the room to the other.
- 1:18:04Speaker 7: I remember a made for TV movie about that when
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: I was a kid. To scare the hell out of me.
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: It says. The patients come in designed, yeah, with a
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: strikingly odd symptom, visions of pint sized elf like figures,
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: marching under doors, crawling up walls, clinging the furniture. And
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: it says they treat hundreds of these cases every single year.
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: At the same time. When this mushroom bloom, you.
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: Know what it really means. It means that they're really there. Yeah,
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: you just have insight into that dimension exactly.
- 1:18:36Speaker 5: You can't see them.
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: They're here right now as you gotta be careful to
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: cook this thing thoroughly because otherwise these hallucinations will set in.
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: It says, at a mushroom hot pot restaurant, there the
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: server set a timer for fifteen minutes. In more nuts,
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: do not eat these mushrooms until this timer goes off,
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: or you might see little people like Could you imagine
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: that if you sit at a restaurant, welcome to hont punt,
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: would you like get some and drink? Yeah, sure, here's
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: your drinks. Hey, look, guys, that one right there you
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: want to let cook pretty well? Here's why, because I'm
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: not You're to say a much of smurf running around,
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: But that's exactly what happens. It says, just a couple
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: other places, this strange mushroom is largely an enigma. It
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: says there were many accounts about the existence of this
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: psychedelic mushroom, and many people look for it, but they
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: never found the species. And I guess it's also how
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: you prep the thing before you eat it if you
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: want to see the tiny people as they run around.
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: And most of the people have read this story said
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: they go to the doctor just to see if they're
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: actually seeing them because they feel fine otherwise. Well, I
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: found it.
- 1:19:37Speaker 7: It's called Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, Tiny malicious
- 1:19:41Speaker 7: creatures that torment and eventually drag a woman down to
- 1:19:44Speaker 7: their realm.
- 1:19:45Speaker 11: What.
- 1:19:46Speaker 5: Well, that was the TV movie that I was telling
- 1:19:48Speaker 5: you about that.
- 1:19:48Speaker 7: I remember seeing. Oh yea yeah, and it sounds like
- 1:19:51Speaker 7: this tiny mushroom people.
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: Yeah, they're trying to figure out what causes this, because
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: it's so unique to have something that's psychotropic, like give
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: a same experience a most people like if you take
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: cylo sibbon or or psilocybin and or peyote or whatever,
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: you will have a completely unique experience to you and
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: your personality. That's what makes this so weird, as everybody
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: sees the same thing, these tiny people.
- 1:20:11Speaker 7: That's why I'm going back to what Jack said, which
- 1:20:14Speaker 7: is they're really there, you.
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: Just can't tap into that realm. There's actually a term
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: for it. It's called a Lilliputian hallucination. Oh yeah, from
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: Gulliver's travelers, right exactly. Yeah, from the little people. That's
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: exactly what they say. They look like like the little
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: people that tied Gulliver down are tied the big the
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: monster down or the giant. Yeah, Gulliver, that's what is
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: Yeah said monster. Well, I mean it was a monster
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: to them, dude, Yeah, all right four seven nine four
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: one text us at seven seven zero three one one.
- 1:20:46Speaker 5: No, just mushrooms that make you see tiny.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: People, Yeah, crazy living at the miniature houses that building,
- 1:20:52Speaker 4: Yeah exactly.
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: All right. When we come back, there's Mike vrabel Is,
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: the coach of the Patriots. He said something during a
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: podcast or an interview that was really unique. I want
- 1:21:03Speaker 3: to find out what you guys think you would do
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: for the same thing. We'll do that next year on
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: the gym.
- 1:21:12Speaker 14: Hello, Jim Colbert Show cast.
- 1:21:15Speaker 3: It made me think of Darb Gill and the little people. Jimmy,
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: you you're a man, bro think no is the mail man.
- 1:21:25Speaker 4: You know what they're saying about the snowstorms up north
- 1:21:28Speaker 4: and all of this stuff, and they're making them work.
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: That's a bunch of crop, dude.
- 1:21:34Speaker 8: That's what they do is you got to call an
- 1:21:38Speaker 8: eight hundred number and they tell you.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: If you gotta go to work or not.
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: It's a bunch of crop.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: Same thing down here when we when we have hurricanes.
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: We oh man, oh, is there really a one eight
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: hundred number for people who work for big companies to
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: call to see if they're gonna work during a hurricane?
- 1:21:59Speaker 3: I mean they don't do that, right, They just probably
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: send it an email or something. They let us know. Yeah,
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: I mean we worked, we have to work. Yeah, unfortunately.
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: All right, welcome back to the Jim Colbert Show. We're
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: already one four point one. You're a five o'clock keyword
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: is gold? Gold. Go to Real Radio Do FM and
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: send that away for your chance at one thousand bucks.
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: Gold is the answer. That is the five o'clock keyword
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: that winner yesterday, guys. Let's get that money. Gold is
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: the answer again. Just go to Real Radio FM and
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: send that off for your chance at one thousand bucks.
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: If you're playing the game, phone on, phone up and
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: answer it when it rings, because that's how they tell.
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: You you won, and plan how you're going to spend that
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: thousand that's right.
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: I'm Jim, there's deb Hello, Jack is here as well.
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: I don't know what that was, A big game coming
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: up soon. Mike Brabel is the coach for the Patriots,
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: and I think you said this yesterday. Jackie's the only
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: coach in the history of the NFL to have played
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: for a Super Bowl team and is now coaching his
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: Super Bowl team.
- 1:22:52Speaker 4: Someone said it, but yeah, I saw that they had
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: that in the broadcast of the game.
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:22:58Speaker 4: If if he wins, he'll be the only player and
- 1:23:01Speaker 4: coach of the same team to win both as a
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: player and a coach of.
- 1:23:06Speaker 3: The same team. There you okay? Good because he played
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: for the Patriots. A matter of fact, Brady was calling
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: that game and he mentioned playing with Brabel, so yeah,
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: that makes perfect sense. Well, Mike Brabel obviously is pretty
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: ganked because this team was four and ten two years
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: in a row, and now these guys are going to
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: be in the Super Bowl. That's an unbelievable turnaround to
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: a team that lost the greatest player that ever played
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: the game of football, which is Tom Brady, and the
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: greatest coach that ever coached the game of football, Bill Belichick's.
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: I think he's a great coach. I don't know if
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: he's the greatest coach. Well, how do you measure that?
- 1:23:42Speaker 5: He's no Vince Lombardy?
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: Yeah, and he's got more Super Bowl rings than the
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: other coach. I mean that's how you measure it. It
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: stops right there. There are no other stats matter, right
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: to some I don't agree with that. No, Well, I
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: mean I agree with the current coach.
- 1:23:55Speaker 4: I suppose super Bowl rings would be more of defining
- 1:23:58Speaker 4: a coach's career then it would be a player's career.
- 1:24:03Speaker 4: Like I think, like a player can be considered the
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: greatest without needing the Super Bowl.
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: I would kind of agree with that because Eli Manning
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: has two super Bowl rings and nobody thinks he's better
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: than his brother he has one, Right, So I mean
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: that does happen for sure, right, because it is a
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: team game, right, the coach is kind of different. I
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: think maybe because not only in the tales a great player. Yeah,
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: but I mean you're right. I mean, obviously it was.
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: It was the perfect timing for both of those guys.
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: You know, he had really good schemes and Tom Brady is,
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: like I said, the greatest ever.
- 1:24:37Speaker 4: Now the question is who would I think gets the
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: better coach in that I don't know.
- 1:24:40Speaker 3: Yeah, that's gonna be. Then you have a problem. We'll
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: get to that Belichick thing a little bit later in
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: the day. But the Patriots coach said one time during
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: an interview, did you guys hear this? No, and I
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: mean he said that he would make quite a sacrifice
- 1:24:53Speaker 3: to win a Super Bowl. Uh, that avolve one of
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: his testicles, not one of his testicles, Tom or Mike
- 1:25:04Speaker 3: Rabels said at one point, I'm sure he's being facetious.
- 1:25:07Speaker 3: He said I would cut that off to win a
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: Super Bowl. Now, of course he backtracked that because he
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: was being fun. I think somebody asked him about it,
- 1:25:13Speaker 3: and it goes, well, maybe cut a little bit of it.
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: And my question is, like, that's really wanting something. There's
- 1:25:19Speaker 3: no I wouldn't do that for anything.
- 1:25:20Speaker 4: There's I mean, maybe to save the life of one
- 1:25:22Speaker 4: of my kids or my wife. I remember twenty years ago,
- 1:25:25Speaker 4: Dennis O'Leary, right, the comedian Dennis Dennis leary, Uh said
- 1:25:31Speaker 4: he I mean I saw him say he would cut
- 1:25:34Speaker 4: off his left you know. Yeah, two if the Red
- 1:25:37Speaker 4: Sox would win the World serious and they've won the
- 1:25:39Speaker 4: World Series.
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: I don't I don't think he ever had it removed. No, no,
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: no he doesn't, you know, I mean not by not
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: by a doctor. Maybe his wife. Uh. But yeah, he
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: said that, So you know obvious giggleberry, this this poses
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: it and I didn't to be held to that. You
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: say that publicly? Oh yeah, no, no, no, hell that Well,
- 1:25:55Speaker 3: there's a guy. Did you see the guy that made
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: the bet about there was a prop bet about Uh,
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: if Scotty Scheffer would have won this golf tournament this
- 1:26:02Speaker 3: past weekend, what the guy would do? No, he has
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: to eat Wendy's chili only for a month.
- 1:26:09Speaker 9: Uugh.
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: No crackers, no bread, no nothing. Oh, come on, man,
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: three days, three times a day. He has to eat
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: a bowl of Wendy's chili for a month because he
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: made that prop bet. And they're holding this, uh, they're
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: holding his feet to it. So my question is this
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: it used to be a million dollars million dollars is
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: really not that much money anymore. But when when you
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: talk about like things that you would do for that,
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: what would it be like for you? Jack? It's it's
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: interesting because you could say, well, I would I take
- 1:26:37Speaker 3: off a digital my left pinky to be in the dugout,
- 1:26:40Speaker 3: or you know, have really good seats for a Yankees
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: world series. Yeah, but what I'm saying there are people
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: who would Yeah, I got me, But I get that, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: But then I don't think the money thing is as
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: good an argument because if I said, well, what would
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: you do for ten million dollars? If you give me
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: ten million dollars right here on the air, I would
- 1:26:59Speaker 3: cleave off my left knuckle on my finger. I wouldn't
- 1:27:01Speaker 3: have any problem. I would literally put it right here,
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: and while I was talking, I would cut that thing off.
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: No problem. I wouldn't even think twice about it. For
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: ten million bucks. It is not going to affect my
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: life at all. My life will not change when it
- 1:27:14Speaker 3: comes when it comes to how this machine would work
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: this finger. If I took that first knuckle of my
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: pinky off of my left hand, I would never miss it. Yeah,
- 1:27:23Speaker 3: ten million dollars, I'm good for that. Yeah, you do it. No,
- 1:27:29Speaker 3: that's one less nail, not work.
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: You get rid of that and not have to worry
- 1:27:34Speaker 4: about money the rest of your life.
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: Yeah, ten ten, But you have to do it yourself.
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: You can't have anybody do it. That's the tough part
- 1:27:43Speaker 3: of it.
- 1:27:43Speaker 7: What the hell kind of squid grain capper, crapper we're
- 1:27:46Speaker 7: talking about.
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: It, But this guy was talking about cutting game, his
- 1:27:49Speaker 3: unit off game. We're not even talking about I mean,
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: this guy was gonna cut her off for a.
- 1:27:54Speaker 7: Football game win and his wife cuts it off from
- 1:27:57Speaker 7: by the way you do with this.
- 1:27:58Speaker 3: Cigar cutter, No, I don't. I would rather do it
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: with a cleaver because it's gonna just feel I don't
- 1:28:04Speaker 3: care how you'd rather do it, it's just gonna You
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: don't want to do it with a cigar hunter dog
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: you definitely, because you're not gonna be able to get
- 1:28:09Speaker 3: that in one snip. You want a nice you want
- 1:28:12Speaker 3: a heavy cleaver, and you wanted to go through quick,
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: You're gonna pass out more than likely. You gotta have
- 1:28:17Speaker 3: somebody there to suit your that thing up for you,
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: and your life will not change at all except for
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: the ten mil. And that's not tax or anything like that.
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: That's ten million, cold hard dollars in your bank account.
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: And what if you miss it and don't get enough
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: and have to do it a second? That's just about this.
- 1:28:32Speaker 7: Someone just texted us this query at seven seven zero three.
- 1:28:35Speaker 7: One current question with my friends? Would you give up
- 1:28:38Speaker 7: your ability to have an orgasm for ten million dollars
- 1:28:42Speaker 7: for how long?
- 1:28:42Speaker 3: For life? For a million dollars for life?
- 1:28:44Speaker 5: Probably?
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: No, not a chance, even at my age. There's no
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: way I do that.
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: No, he's only got a couple left.
- 1:28:54Speaker 3: If I could save him up right now, deab, I'd
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: put him in my four one K. You had no
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: way possible. I mean, here's the thing. Can I tell
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: you even abstaining from sex for a long period of time,
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: like what's the longest you would go without sex? Jack,
- 1:29:08Speaker 3: for let's say even one hundred grand? Like for one
- 1:29:12Speaker 3: hundred grand? If I said I've got one hundred k
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: right now, but you can't have sex for three months? Okay, Yeah,
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: that's not that's not that bad. Yea six months now
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: and that means no STIFI, no self manipulation, no, no manipulation,
- 1:29:27Speaker 3: none of that. I don't like this game anymore, none
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: of that. Six months, I have to talk to my wife.
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: One hundred grand. I'm on board, but I don't know.
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: One hundred grand six months, no sex. Yeah, for one
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: hundred grand, you can do that. Yeah. Bye. Can I
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: be of service to somebody else? Yes? Yes, as long
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: as as long as long as you don't have sex
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: and nobody touches you and manipulates you to completion, let's go.
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: I can do it because you would have to take
- 1:30:01Speaker 3: care of your wife. Makes a guy. How much would
- 1:30:10Speaker 3: it take to get your nose piers? Tip? Would you
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: get your nose piers like like I mean like a loop,
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: like a like a like a cow.
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: Oh yeah, like the thing goes through what's that thing
- 1:30:19Speaker 4: called this septum pier?
- 1:30:21Speaker 13: Is it?
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: Yeah? Would you get that? Let's say for a thousand months?
- 1:30:24Speaker 3: You have to wear it for only a month?
- 1:30:25Speaker 5: No, not for a thousand?
- 1:30:27Speaker 3: No three?
- 1:30:28Speaker 10: No?
- 1:30:28Speaker 3: Ten?
- 1:30:29Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, I'm in for ten on that too.
- 1:30:33Speaker 3: Yeah, you would do it for ten k. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:30:36Speaker 3: I'm the only one in my house who doesn't have.
- 1:30:38Speaker 4: One, but not through the nose like my daughter my
- 1:30:41Speaker 4: daughter does.
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: Oh yeah, but I mean, like you know, my wife
- 1:30:45Speaker 3: has the one on the side, my daughter has side
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: and the septum. My wife had the little one in
- 1:30:49Speaker 3: her nose and she absolutely loved it. But the problem
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: is she started geting it, started getting irritated, and she
- 1:30:53Speaker 3: couldn't even do it with gold because it would not
- 1:30:56Speaker 3: do that. So we're she's thinking about getting another one
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: and having it titanium, which I guess is a NERT
- 1:31:00Speaker 3: or not a nert. But what's the word where it's oh,
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: it's uh you you can't have allergenic hypoalergenic. That's exactly it. Yeah,
- 1:31:10Speaker 3: I wouldn't even think twice about cutting that finger off.
- 1:31:11Speaker 3: I'd do it so fast.
- 1:31:12Speaker 5: How about you getting a septum ring.
- 1:31:16Speaker 3: Ten grand for a month? I think it would have
- 1:31:18Speaker 3: to be a little more. I think I would. I
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: would do it for twenty five Like if you gave
- 1:31:22Speaker 3: me twenty five K, I would get my nose pierce
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: somewhere for a month for twenty five thousand, because I mean,
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: that's going to heal up. You can take it out,
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: it'll be fun to talk about for a month. It'll
- 1:31:31Speaker 3: go by before you know it, and that twenty five
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: k will do something stupid. I mean, you can do
- 1:31:35Speaker 3: something really stupid, because at that point you don't have
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: to spend that money on anything responsible. Right, That's the thing.
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: That's the thing. If you do something stupid like this
- 1:31:41Speaker 3: for a large amount of money like that, you you
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: can look at your wife and going going going to gate,
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: going to like I'm playing the World Series of Poker.
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: I'm gonna do something dumb.
- 1:31:50Speaker 5: You're gonna go buy a driver, all the drivers, all
- 1:31:53Speaker 5: the drivers.
- 1:31:53Speaker 3: All right, four oh seven nine one six four one.

- 1:32:48Speaker 14: he needed a blood transfusion and we didn't know his
- 1:32:51Speaker 14: blood type, and all the way to the very end.
- 1:32:54Speaker 14: He was, you know, very adamant in saying be positive,
- 1:32:58Speaker 14: be positive.
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: Oh man, you got me, son of a bitch. I
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: hate that more than anything. You're not welcome to call

- 1:34:46Speaker 3: as gold g Old go to Real Radio Dot FM
- 1:34:49Speaker 3: AND's in then off for a chance one thousand bucks.
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: I'm Jim, there's deb Hello Jack is here as well. Yo.
- 1:34:54Speaker 3: All right, So this story out of South Korea very
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: very interesting. So South Korean university have decided to make
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: a gigantic change. They have upgraded their status when it
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: comes to allowing people into the university. All right, it
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: says here South Korea's top universities have begun rejecting applicants
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: if they have this in their history, and it does
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: not matter if their grades are perfect. If they have
- 1:35:25Speaker 3: this in their history, it does not matter if your
- 1:35:28Speaker 3: grades are perfect. You could have absolutely perfect scores. You
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: could have all the college schoolastic ability test scores. That's
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: their FCAT over there. All of those scores could be perfect.
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: If you have a history of this, you are not
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: going to make it into the top universities in South Korea.
- 1:35:44Speaker 3: Bullying is the answer? Really, Oh that is the answer?
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: Oh wow. Yeah. They have taken a really hardcore stance
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: on the idea of bullying. And in South Korea, if
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: you bully in your younger ages, whether it be grade school,
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: high school, whatever the case may be.
- 1:36:00Speaker 5: But how would they know that you would have a.
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: History of it for going to the office. Like if
- 1:36:04Speaker 3: you bully people and you get written up for it
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: and you have a history of that on your disciplinary
- 1:36:08Speaker 3: action sheet going to school, they will not allow you
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: in the best universities in South Korea anymore.
- 1:36:13Speaker 7: That's nice because here we reward bullies by allowing them
- 1:36:16Speaker 7: to stay in the same school with their victim and
- 1:36:18Speaker 7: then force the victims to have to move to another school,
- 1:36:20Speaker 7: which is unbelievable.
- 1:36:21Speaker 3: But it sounds so dystopian when you say that, but
- 1:36:25Speaker 3: it's true. It is one thousand percent true.
- 1:36:27Speaker 5: And I do not understand that.
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: It says that two students at the sole national University
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: submitted exemplary scores but were denied a mission owing to
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: their bullying pass Similarly, six students from early mission cycles
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: and two from the regular mission cycle were also rejected
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: by national universities because they had they had history of bullying.
- 1:36:49Speaker 3: And I got to tell you, I think this is
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: a really interesting concept because here's the thing. What grades
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: do you believe bullying really is the most prevalent middle.
- 1:36:58Speaker 5: School yep, Fifth, six and seven.
- 1:37:00Speaker 3: Great, and I would agree with you one hundred percent.
- 1:37:02Speaker 3: And I think more than a single bully bullying somebody.
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: I believe that's where the culture of bullying starts. In
- 1:37:10Speaker 3: other words, if you go into school, you're eight, nine, ten,
- 1:37:13Speaker 3: twelve years old, whatever, you're going through those changes hormonally
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: and you have that anger thing and you start bullying people,
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: that is not going to be a one off scenario.
- 1:37:21Speaker 3: Every bully I knew in high school was a bully
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: in elementary school, and they were bullies in middle school
- 1:37:27Speaker 3: as well. Every one of them, complete douchebags. And that
- 1:37:30Speaker 3: includes the ladies that were doing it, and we had
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: plenty of those as well. Yeah, they don't get credited
- 1:37:35Speaker 3: for it, only males do. But they're to me as
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: I saw it, there really weren't that fewer female bullies
- 1:37:42Speaker 3: than there were males.
- 1:37:43Speaker 7: In my sees, they made a movie about female boys.
- 1:37:45Speaker 7: It is called Mean Girls.
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: Exactly. It's a different kind of bullying. Right, you're not
- 1:37:50Speaker 3: getting smacked or your book smacked out of you, but
- 1:37:52Speaker 3: you're getting ostracized. You're getting you know, they're they're making
- 1:37:55Speaker 3: up stuff about you, and especial on social media now
- 1:37:59Speaker 3: thirtyfold day and age.
- 1:38:00Speaker 7: This day and age, you'll see girls throw down fists
- 1:38:02Speaker 7: just as easy as anything.
- 1:38:04Speaker 3: And they have a lettis. It's currently school violence is
- 1:38:06Speaker 3: categorize on a scale from one to nine, which one
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: is a written apology. In other words, whomever you bullied,
- 1:38:13Speaker 3: you write them a written apology and you give it
- 1:38:15Speaker 3: to them, and that goes on your record as well.
- 1:38:17Speaker 3: If you get to bullying nine, they just expel your ass,
- 1:38:21Speaker 3: but they do keep a record of it. And I
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: will tell you, man, in America, that would not be
- 1:38:26Speaker 3: the worst thing that ever happened if you had the
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: onus of the possibility that you step out, because there
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: are a lot of people who are smart that wind
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: up in this kind of cycle of behavior.
- 1:38:37Speaker 7: The thing I love about this is that, especially because
- 1:38:40Speaker 7: education is deeply revered in Asian culture.
- 1:38:45Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, it says it right here.
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: College education in Korea is considered way more than just
- 1:38:49Speaker 3: a degree.
- 1:38:50Speaker 7: Oh absolutely, And to have to go back to your
- 1:38:53Speaker 7: family and tell them that the reason why you didn't
- 1:38:56Speaker 7: get into college was because of something you did as
- 1:38:59Speaker 7: a middle schools to do, I mean, how disappointing.
- 1:39:01Speaker 4: And the dishonoura squid game, it doesn't end well for the.
- 1:39:06Speaker 7: Jack the dishonor, but what it is is real life
- 1:39:09Speaker 7: consequences of which I still can't figure out why we
- 1:39:12Speaker 7: don't take more of a you know, this kind of
- 1:39:15Speaker 7: an approach to bullies here in the States. It really
- 1:39:18Speaker 7: does seem like we just slap them on the wrist,
- 1:39:20Speaker 7: let them get back in the same classroom as the
- 1:39:22Speaker 7: kids that they bullied, and let them and let them
- 1:39:25Speaker 7: continue bullying, and just kind of pretend that the problem
- 1:39:27Speaker 7: doesn't exist.
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: It's only I mean, we've talked about this before. It's
- 1:39:29Speaker 3: almost like you're just telling them, Hey, as long as
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: you don't go too far, right, you're gonna be able
- 1:39:34Speaker 3: to get away with this. You're okay, You're gonna be
- 1:39:35Speaker 3: able to scare the piss out of this. Guys. I'm
- 1:39:37Speaker 3: gonna want to come to school right, You're gonna be
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: able to wreak havoc in the hallways every day. As
- 1:39:41Speaker 3: long as you don't go too far, that's what's gonna happen,
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: it says right here, College education in Korea is considered
- 1:39:46Speaker 3: more than just degree. It acts as a crucial gateway
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: to social mobility, job stability, and lifelong status, it says. However,
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: the unprecedented shipt in university admissions policy signals that university
- 1:39:59Speaker 3: are universe. Verities are looking beyond grades. Not only do
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: they want the smartest people, they want the best humans
- 1:40:06Speaker 3: in their schools. Now, so it is more than just
- 1:40:08Speaker 3: academia these days, especially in this country, they want honor
- 1:40:12Speaker 3: and integrity. And how refreshing is that, Like this is
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: the sound that that makes me happy that somebody in
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: the country is actually going, hey, don't be an ass,
- 1:40:21Speaker 3: then you will be able to do well in this country.
- 1:40:23Speaker 3: If you are an ass, like Jack said, we're gonna
- 1:40:26Speaker 3: squid game, you're at m It says what the policy
- 1:40:29Speaker 3: set to expand. Experts have warned about a surgeon disputes
- 1:40:32Speaker 3: and complaints in school students accused of bullying have been
- 1:40:35Speaker 3: hiring lawyers and filing administrative lawsuits to overturn this action.
- 1:40:41Speaker 3: That's how valuable this decision is in South Korea that
- 1:40:44Speaker 3: people are lawyering up so that they don't have this
- 1:40:47Speaker 3: on their record. I love this song.
- 1:40:50Speaker 7: Whole new lesson for parents to say, now you don't
- 1:40:53Speaker 7: want to grow up and be a bully because you're
- 1:40:54Speaker 7: going to hurt your chances of getting into college.
- 1:40:56Speaker 3: Now here's the cool thing. Even in that country. It
- 1:40:59Speaker 3: was test patterned, right, it says only four other national
- 1:41:03Speaker 3: universities did not eject students to their bullying history. However,
- 1:41:06Speaker 3: starting next year's every university in Korea will be required
- 1:41:10Speaker 3: to implement mandatory deductions for applicants with school violence records,
- 1:41:15Speaker 3: regardless of a mission type. In other words, I don't
- 1:41:18Speaker 3: care where you're from, who your dad is, right, you
- 1:41:22Speaker 3: know where you live, how much money they how much
- 1:41:24Speaker 3: money you got. If you are a bully, you are
- 1:41:27Speaker 3: not getting into these universities. You have to leave the
- 1:41:30Speaker 3: country to attend college. I can't love this more. I
- 1:41:35Speaker 3: would do this in elementary schools. I don't care.
- 1:41:37Speaker 7: Somebody just texted us at seven seven zero three one.
- 1:41:40Speaker 7: I know of an elementary kid who assaulted the school
- 1:41:43Speaker 7: resource officer and ran away from school. He was back
- 1:41:46Speaker 7: in class at the same school the very next day.
- 1:41:49Speaker 3: Just letting those other students know, Hey, man, have at it.
- 1:41:52Speaker 3: You're not getting nothing's gonna happen to you. You can
- 1:41:54Speaker 3: go out and do whatever you want. Slap a cop,
- 1:41:57Speaker 3: you can run away from school and you're right back
- 1:41:59Speaker 3: there the next day. Enjoy yourself. I wish, I wish
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: they would implement this in America till tomorrow tomorrow. I
- 1:42:07Speaker 3: wish they would all come on the speaker system. Hey,
- 1:42:10Speaker 3: listen up. If you do something stupid as a bully,
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: we're writing it down. And I hope you don't plan
- 1:42:16Speaker 3: on getting in college, because you're not going to college
- 1:42:18Speaker 3: in America, because we've implemented a situation where if you
- 1:42:21Speaker 3: bully people in school, you're not getting into school here
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: in America. You're gonna have to go to Canada.
- 1:42:25Speaker 7: I don't know if using the threat of post secondary
- 1:42:28Speaker 7: education would be a big enough film, seriously, a big
- 1:42:31Speaker 7: enough threat in America.
- 1:42:32Speaker 5: I really don't. I really don't.
- 1:42:34Speaker 7: I think it has to be something like it will
- 1:42:36Speaker 7: follow you on your job interviews, it will be part
- 1:42:39Speaker 7: of your public record because again.
- 1:42:41Speaker 5: Almost like a police record, almost like a police record.
- 1:42:43Speaker 7: Yeah, because in South Korea, you know, like you said,
- 1:42:46Speaker 7: a secondary education goes beyond just being a degree.
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: What if you could what if you did if they
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: did this in schools in America. Let's say you're a
- 1:42:54Speaker 3: tenth grader, you bully people through middle school, you bully
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: through through high school, and they don't let you graduate
- 1:43:00Speaker 3: until you do enough community service to wipe that off
- 1:43:03Speaker 3: your record.
- 1:43:04Speaker 5: I think that's a great idea.
- 1:43:05Speaker 3: How about that. I like it like you have. You
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: have a high school community service. We would love to
- 1:43:10Speaker 3: see you graduate. I can't wait for you to go
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: on to college.
- 1:43:12Speaker 10: Sir.
- 1:43:13Speaker 3: Here's the problem. You've had four serious bullying incidences over
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: the last five years. You don't seem to learn. You
- 1:43:21Speaker 3: obviously don't care about the discipline. So here's the fun
- 1:43:24Speaker 3: part for you. You do not graduate if you do
- 1:43:26Speaker 3: not commit to do this twenty or thirty hours or
- 1:43:29Speaker 3: whatever it is of community service, and you better do
- 1:43:32Speaker 3: it with a smile on your face. And it's in school.
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: It's in school, whether it be janitor work, whether it
- 1:43:37Speaker 3: be wiping off graffiti, mopping the gym floor, whatever the
- 1:43:42Speaker 3: case may be, because you have to set the example.
- 1:43:44Speaker 6: That's right.
- 1:43:44Speaker 3: That's right, dude. It's like the chain gang kind of
- 1:43:46Speaker 3: thing in high school. I got no problem with that. Whatsoever.
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: I go. I'd go county to county selling this to
- 1:43:52Speaker 3: every principle if they would listen. I think it's that
- 1:43:55Speaker 3: good of an idea. Something has to be done. It's
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: not right, like depth said, it's not pay taxes so
- 1:44:01Speaker 3: that our kids can go to school and get an education.
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: It's not fair for one or two or five people
- 1:44:07Speaker 3: in a school of three or four or five thousand
- 1:44:09Speaker 3: to create so much havoc that people simply can't go
- 1:44:13Speaker 3: to school to get their education. When I moved to Orlando,
- 1:44:16Speaker 3: I lived in Pine Hills. There was a school there,
- 1:44:18Speaker 3: I mean still there. I think they were built. It's
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: called Evans High School. Evans High School had one of
- 1:44:22Speaker 3: the worst reputations for violence in the entire city of Orlando.
- 1:44:26Speaker 3: Matter of fact, I think it was an almost all
- 1:44:28Speaker 3: of Central Florida. Evans was legendary for the violence they had,
- 1:44:32Speaker 3: their gangs. It was terrible, so bad so that some
- 1:44:36Speaker 3: of the kids I went to school went to church
- 1:44:38Speaker 3: with because I moved on here after I graduated. They
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: went to Evans, but if they had to go to
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: the bathroom, they would check out of school before they
- 1:44:46Speaker 3: would go into a bathroom at Evans. That's how bad
- 1:44:48Speaker 3: it was. They wouldn't roll the dice to go into
- 1:44:51Speaker 3: the bathroom because they knew for a fact they're going
- 1:44:52Speaker 3: to beat up or mugged for their money or their
- 1:44:55Speaker 3: phone stolen or anything like that. And I wouldn't phone
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: back then, but anything they could steal it. And they
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: were like, we're not I'm not doing it. They would
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: literally check out a school and their parents would do
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: it for them because they got their asses kicked enough
- 1:45:08Speaker 3: to prove that they were telling the truth. Wow. I
- 1:45:13Speaker 3: wouldn't even think twice about it, dude. I would institute
- 1:45:16Speaker 3: this tomorrow. This is something the governor should look at. Well,
- 1:45:22Speaker 3: I mean, will we still have to bad people in
- 1:45:23Speaker 3: public schools? Yeah?
- 1:45:24Speaker 7: Well yeah, well they'll just pull it away from the
- 1:45:27Speaker 7: local government and put ticket you know something else they're
- 1:45:30Speaker 7: gonna do in Tallahouse, ease.
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: The government just because how about what if there's no
- 1:45:33Speaker 3: people in the schools you can't bully then, right right?
- 1:45:36Speaker 7: Somebody said in high school, just make the bullyd cheerleading
- 1:45:38Speaker 7: in the girl's uniform.
- 1:45:40Speaker 3: Oh my god, almighty dude.
- 1:45:42Speaker 5: And that would be pretty righteous.
- 1:45:43Speaker 3: Sorry. Four oh seven, uh nine, one six four one.
- 1:45:47Speaker 3: Hey Jay, how you doing, buddy, Welcome to the show.
- 1:45:50Speaker 8: Hey, how you guys doing today?
- 1:45:51Speaker 3: Hey? Doing good?
- 1:45:53Speaker 4: So I wanted to call.
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: In because the bullying thing I totally.
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: One hundred percent agree with.
- 1:46:02Speaker 3: There were too many students I graduated with in high
- 1:46:05Speaker 3: school that ended.
- 1:46:06Speaker 11: Up being trash people.
- 1:46:09Speaker 3: They should have never got went to college, and they
- 1:46:11Speaker 3: sort of never graduated.
- 1:46:13Speaker 10: That's just my two cents.
- 1:46:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I gotta tell you, man, I you know, if
- 1:46:17Speaker 3: the you gotta remember, man, if the school doesn't contact
- 1:46:20Speaker 3: the parents, A lot of times these guys don't get
- 1:46:23Speaker 3: ratted on. They because they if you rat that bully out,
- 1:46:26Speaker 3: it's even gonna be worse for you. So a lot
- 1:46:28Speaker 3: of times these bullies will roll through schools like gang members.
- 1:46:33Speaker 3: Like people are afraid to say anything because they don't
- 1:46:35Speaker 3: want the repercussions either after school at their home because
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: now everybody knows where you live, so they stayed quiet.
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: If their parents thought for one second they wouldn't graduate
- 1:46:45Speaker 3: because they were such bullies. I wonder how that would
- 1:46:47Speaker 3: change the culture in schools. But thanks for your college, Ja,
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: I appreciate that very much. Yeah, crazy, I.
- 1:46:54Speaker 7: Would have loved to have seen my bullies face some
- 1:46:57Speaker 7: you know, consequences for their action.
- 1:46:59Speaker 3: Let me let me tell you what. It's kind of crazy, right,
- 1:47:01Speaker 3: do you how many teachers do you remember? How many
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: names are your teachers? Do you remember?
- 1:47:04Speaker 6: Oh?
- 1:47:05Speaker 3: Not very many many?
- 1:47:06Speaker 5: Right?
- 1:47:06Speaker 3: I have to go through your books, Jack, you remember
- 1:47:07Speaker 3: many of your teacher's names? I mean, like how many
- 1:47:11Speaker 3: you strikeen me? A guy who would remember some some Yeah,
- 1:47:13Speaker 3: I think I remember me four or five of them years. Yes, Yeah,
- 1:47:17Speaker 3: the ones that really made about that. Yeah, the ones
- 1:47:19Speaker 3: that made a really big impact on my life. You
- 1:47:21Speaker 3: remember those, right? Yeah? Do you remember your bullies' names?
- 1:47:24Speaker 3: I remember every gd one of them, every single one
- 1:47:28Speaker 3: of them. I could see her name, their first and
- 1:47:29Speaker 3: last name, and draw you a small picture of them.
- 1:47:32Speaker 3: That's how big of an impact those people make on
- 1:47:34Speaker 3: people in school. Yeah, do you remember yours? Uh? You
- 1:47:40Speaker 3: had a couple, did you not? Oh?
- 1:47:41Speaker 5: I had, Yeah, my entire eighth grade class.
- 1:47:44Speaker 3: So yeah, why was that, by the way, It was
- 1:47:47Speaker 3: because you were because.
- 1:47:49Speaker 5: I was the new kid. I was the new kid
- 1:47:51Speaker 5: and showed up.
- 1:47:52Speaker 3: Did your ethnicity have anything to do with it?
- 1:47:53Speaker 7: No, Probably more to do with the fact that my
- 1:47:56Speaker 7: mother was old school and would not allow me to
- 1:47:59Speaker 7: wear ten of shoes. So here I roll up new
- 1:48:02Speaker 7: kid school saddle shoes, socks up to my knees, cardigan,
- 1:48:07Speaker 7: you know, I mean I just came out of the
- 1:48:09Speaker 7: car looking like instant geek.
- 1:48:12Speaker 3: Just had water kick here. Yeah, I didn't have it
- 1:48:16Speaker 3: like that. We had a couple of guys that that
- 1:48:18Speaker 3: would walk around just smack you around just because they
- 1:48:20Speaker 3: thought it was funny. Named Robbie was the worst. That
- 1:48:22Speaker 3: guy was the absolute worst.
- 1:48:24Speaker 7: I mean they used to block the door of the
- 1:48:26Speaker 7: school bus and toss the stick and make me go fetch.
- 1:48:32Speaker 5: But that's okay because I knocked one of them out.
- 1:48:34Speaker 3: Good.
- 1:48:35Speaker 7: That's what you got years later when he tried calling
- 1:48:37Speaker 7: me the same nickname. Put my fist back and put
- 1:48:39Speaker 7: it right between his eyes.
- 1:48:40Speaker 3: What you gotta do? Yeah, nice, that's the only lure.
- 1:48:43Speaker 3: That's the learning way. Hard to believe when you can't
- 1:48:50Speaker 3: see all right four O seven nine one six one
- 1:48:53Speaker 3: four one again, you can always text us seven seven
- 1:48:54Speaker 3: zero three one Gold is your five o'clock keyword. That's
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: g O l D. Slide over to real right out

- 1:49:22Speaker 11: We spoke on the phone about it.
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: He got his finger stuck in a hole on.

- 1:52:50Speaker 5: We're gonna go with number three on a hump day, Dylan.
- 1:52:53Speaker 3: How you doing, Dylan? How you guys doing doing?
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: Good?

- 1:53:00Speaker 3: Said, Hell yeah.
- 1:53:01Speaker 2: N who's currently writing today's game, can he be both?
- 1:53:06Speaker 2: Let's find out. It's time for JCS trivia.
- 1:53:10Speaker 3: Ya ya, all right, Dylan, this is a real easy game.
- 1:53:12Speaker 3: But he got a question here for you have four answers.
- 1:53:14Speaker 3: One of these answers is not true. What but Dylan,
- 1:53:17Speaker 3: if you find that one, I'll send you over to
- 1:53:19Speaker 3: Jack and he has something nice for you and you
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: can choose something for yourself. Are you ready? Yeah, here
- 1:53:24Speaker 3: we go, buddy. On this day in nineteen sixty one,
- 1:53:28Speaker 3: on this day, the Republic of Rwanda is proclaimed. Oh wow,
- 1:53:32Speaker 3: all right, so Rwanda becomes Rwanda today in nineteen sixty one.
- 1:53:37Speaker 3: Here are three fun facts about Rwanda and one gorilla
- 1:53:40Speaker 3: of a lot. All right, all right, buddy, we're talking
- 1:53:43Speaker 3: about the country of Rwanda. Which one of these is
- 1:53:45Speaker 3: not true? Number One, Since two thousand and eight, Rwanda
- 1:53:49Speaker 3: has banned the use of plastic bags. Since then, it's
- 1:53:53Speaker 3: become the cleanest country in Africa. Number two. Sixty percent
- 1:53:57Speaker 3: of Rwanda's parliament is made up of women. That's the
- 1:54:01Speaker 3: highest percentage in the world. Number three, in Rwanda, it's
- 1:54:05Speaker 3: a sign of disrespect to make eye contact with elders
- 1:54:09Speaker 3: or Lastly, Rwanda is the least densely populated country in Africa,
- 1:54:13Speaker 3: with just three point five million people in a country
- 1:54:16Speaker 3: of the size of Texas. Which of those is a lie?
- 1:54:20Speaker 3: I'm gonna go number four. That's the one. But you're
- 1:54:22Speaker 3: a winner, right, do you know? How did you know it?
- 1:54:27Speaker 3: Because Rwanda is small?
- 1:54:30Speaker 14: No, the other three just sounded like they made more sense.
- 1:54:32Speaker 3: No, there you go, you're a winner there. Yeah, Actually
- 1:54:36Speaker 3: it's the other way around. Rwanda is the most densely
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: populated country in all of Africa, twelve to thirteen million
- 1:54:43Speaker 3: people in a country to the size of what Rhode Island.
- 1:54:49Speaker 3: It's a quarter the size of Pennsylvania. What just to
- 1:54:53Speaker 3: give you an idea, it's a fourth the size of Pennsylvania,
- 1:54:57Speaker 3: which is one of the smaller states. We have teen
- 1:55:00Speaker 3: million people, and that would be about that would be
- 1:55:03Speaker 3: about like Rhode Island, would it not?
- 1:55:05Speaker 4: Or more like maybe the Delaware Rhode Island. Pennsylvania is
- 1:55:09Speaker 4: big for a state area wise, is it really?
- 1:55:13Speaker 3: I thought it was a little bit smaller as the
- 1:55:15Speaker 3: It's got a good size to it.
- 1:55:16Speaker 5: It's pretty hefty.
- 1:55:17Speaker 3: Yeah, quarter of that? So what would be a quarter
- 1:55:19Speaker 3: of that? Like Delaware Rhode Island? I would think Delaware
- 1:55:22Speaker 3: in New Jersey. Yeah, thirteen million people in an area
- 1:55:24Speaker 3: that's small. Yeah, yeah, it is true. Since two thousand
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: and eight, wrote, Rwanda has banned the use of plastic bags,
- 1:55:31Speaker 3: and since then it has become the cleanest country in Africa.
- 1:55:34Speaker 3: But there's another reason I'll get to in a minute
- 1:55:36Speaker 3: as well. Okay, this sounds like that. Actually, it's supposed
- 1:55:39Speaker 3: to be one of the safest places in Africa. And
- 1:55:41Speaker 3: the people if you go there, are absolutely wonderful. They
- 1:55:45Speaker 3: love tourists, they love people coming to visit, and it's
- 1:55:48Speaker 3: supposed to be one of the coolest places to go.
- 1:55:50Speaker 3: That's where you find that's where you go in the gorillas. Okay,
- 1:55:52Speaker 3: that's right, that's where FOSSi was right. Okay. Sixty percent
- 1:55:56Speaker 3: of Rwanda's parliament is made up of women, and that
- 1:55:58Speaker 3: is the highest percentage in the world. In Rwanda, it
- 1:56:01Speaker 3: is a sign of disrespect to make eye contact with elders. Interesting. Yeah,
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: a couple other things here in Rwanda. There's a national
- 1:56:08Speaker 3: day called Yumaganda. It's the last Saturday of every month
- 1:56:12Speaker 3: and it calls for citizens to do something positive for
- 1:56:15Speaker 3: the community. Clean a park, help build or repair schools,
- 1:56:18Speaker 3: and churches, things of that nature, and everybody does it.
- 1:56:21Speaker 3: It's mandatory, but it doesn't really have to be because
- 1:56:23Speaker 3: everybody does it. Rwanda is also known as the Land
- 1:56:28Speaker 3: of a thousand Hills. Also, sixty percent of the Mountain
- 1:56:32Speaker 3: gorilla population is in Rwanda. Yeah. Yeah, to promote healthy living,
- 1:56:37Speaker 3: one day out of every month, you can't do this smoke.
- 1:56:42Speaker 3: It has nothing to do with what you consume. You
- 1:56:46Speaker 3: can't sleep, swear, you can't use your car. You have
- 1:56:50Speaker 3: to travel by bicycle or walk or skateboard or any
- 1:56:54Speaker 3: other way. Wow, but you can't use your automobile. So
- 1:56:56Speaker 3: not only do they say it promotes healthy living, but
- 1:56:59Speaker 3: it also is good for their environment as well. And
- 1:57:01Speaker 3: then lastly, here in Rwanda, do not point at anyone.
- 1:57:05Speaker 3: It's considered odd and rude.
- 1:57:08Speaker 7: Really.
- 1:57:08Speaker 3: Yeah, there you go a few things about Rwanda.
- 1:57:10Speaker 7: There's so many rules when you travel overseas of little
- 1:57:12Speaker 7: things that you might think are so innocuous and not
- 1:57:15Speaker 7: a problem and yet could cause you huge issues.
- 1:57:18Speaker 3: Hey, man, if you're out there and you listen and
- 1:57:19Speaker 3: you're curious like I am, Like I'm a very curious person.
- 1:57:22Speaker 3: I will I stop and read about damn near anything
- 1:57:25Speaker 3: that I don't know about just because I love knowing
- 1:57:27Speaker 3: stuff like that. Take a few minutes and learn about
- 1:57:30Speaker 3: the country of Rwanda. Like the only thing I ever
- 1:57:32Speaker 3: remember is the Rwanda Hotel or Hotel Rwanda or whatever
- 1:57:36Speaker 3: that was that was the worst genocide civil war. I mean,
- 1:57:40Speaker 3: it's it's a blight on their culture. But they have
- 1:57:43Speaker 3: wiped that out of their culture, no differently than other
- 1:57:45Speaker 3: countries who have had, you know, really nasty histories have
- 1:57:48Speaker 3: done everything in their power to wipe them off of
- 1:57:51Speaker 3: the and heal and Rwanda has done that. That's why
- 1:57:54Speaker 3: it's actually one of the safest places in that in
- 1:57:56Speaker 3: Africa to go visit, and it looks fascinating. If you
- 1:57:58Speaker 3: read about it, you learn a lot about that culture
- 1:58:00Speaker 3: and how much they love people coming to their country
- 1:58:03Speaker 3: and how affable they are as a people.
- 1:58:05Speaker 5: Well, yeah, then they you know, takes away some of
- 1:58:07Speaker 5: that stain, Yeah for sure.
- 1:58:08Speaker 3: All right four to seven nine one six four one,
- 1:58:10Speaker 3: get a fresh keyword for you at the top of

- 1:58:45Speaker 3: yesterday in the four o'clock hour, It's time to close
- 1:58:48Speaker 3: the door on another deal this hour. That word is credit.
- 1:58:51Speaker 3: Go to Real Radio FM and send it away for
- 1:58:53Speaker 3: your chance at one thousand bucks. I'm Jim, there's deb Hello.
- 1:58:55Speaker 3: Jack is here as well.
- 1:58:56Speaker 10: Yo.
- 1:58:56Speaker 3: Every single Wednesday around this time, he joins us to talk
- 1:59:00Speaker 3: about the show coming up at eight o'clock tonight. Good sauce, guys,
- 1:59:02Speaker 3: good in loud for mister ross Page.
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you. I will also be there tomorrow and Friday.
- 1:59:11Speaker 3: It's also I'm like.
- 1:59:13Speaker 10: The cousin of the show the Little the adopted step brother.
- 1:59:17Speaker 1: I don't even know what I am and this.
- 1:59:19Speaker 3: You're the cat we said too many times.
- 1:59:22Speaker 10: Yeah I'm I'm Harry Potter. But without the story, I
- 1:59:25Speaker 10: just got left in and I was threatened when I
- 1:59:31Speaker 10: was a baby.
- 1:59:33Speaker 3: My life's Ross. There I go.
- 1:59:37Speaker 10: I am here to tell you I have my new
- 1:59:39Speaker 10: favorite part of doing.
- 1:59:41Speaker 1: Good Sauce with Ross and Joel. All right, and it
- 1:59:45Speaker 1: is whenever we have a guest.
- 1:59:47Speaker 10: I feel confident that recent we've been yanking the comedy
- 1:59:52Speaker 10: out of our guests, and tonight we have I dare
- 1:59:57Speaker 10: I say Mo DeWitt's funniest appearance.
- 2:00:00Speaker 3: Oh, Mo's on the show today.
- 2:00:03Speaker 10: Moe is on the show. If you don't know Mo Andren,
- 2:00:05Speaker 10: go just call Mo. But Mo dropped some dimes on
- 2:00:10Speaker 10: tonight's episode. Now, I just want to throw this out
- 2:00:12Speaker 10: here before we even talk about our topics. I just
- 2:00:15Speaker 10: want to let everybody know Mo to Wit has good
- 2:00:17Speaker 10: comedic timing and is a very funny guy.
- 2:00:20Speaker 3: Oh he is. I mean he's also smart, and you
- 2:00:22Speaker 3: know the smart people give me very funny and he's
- 2:00:23Speaker 3: a smart guy. He's he's a younger due too. I've
- 2:00:25Speaker 3: only been around him a little bit, but you know,
- 2:00:27Speaker 3: he's funny and well.
- 2:00:29Speaker 10: One of the topics, Jim, You're gonna love this because
- 2:00:32Speaker 10: it's such an explosive hot take.
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: And I will die on this hill.
- 2:00:36Speaker 10: I ooh, I can get people getting on the edge
- 2:00:40Speaker 10: of their seat here. I don't think there's any good
- 2:00:43Speaker 10: golf movies.
- 2:00:45Speaker 5: Oh wow, that's a hot take.
- 2:00:48Speaker 3: You don't think caddy Shack's any good buddy? Okay, reready correction?
- 2:00:54Speaker 10: All right, right, So the first thing you'd bring up Caddyshack,
- 2:00:57Speaker 10: the thing I'll say about that, that's like fitty years
- 2:01:00Speaker 10: old at this point, and comedy is a sign of
- 2:01:04Speaker 10: the times. If you show Caddyshack to a twenty year old,
- 2:01:07Speaker 10: I don't think it. I don't think it hits as
- 2:01:10Speaker 10: much outside of the nice.
- 2:01:12Speaker 1: Boobs in the movie.
- 2:01:13Speaker 3: You don't think it holds up.
- 2:01:14Speaker 4: Yeah, get rid of that twenty year old and it's
- 2:01:15Speaker 4: only forty years old, and you're still wrong.
- 2:01:18Speaker 10: Yeah, if you, I just And here's the reason.
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: Why I feel so confident about it.
- 2:01:23Speaker 10: Okay, there hasn't been a good golf movie in multiple decades,
- 2:01:28Speaker 10: and there hasn't been a golf movie to captivate, capture golf.
- 2:01:34Speaker 3: Happy Gilmore.
- 2:01:35Speaker 10: Maybe Happy Gilmore is over twenty five thirty years.
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: Old at this point.
- 2:01:40Speaker 10: Gilmore Too, Happy Gilmore Too is not a movie about golf.
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: It's about internet culture.
- 2:01:48Speaker 3: I agree, hundred percent. Actually, it's not about golfing.
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: Dude, like Tim Cup still cove is.
- 2:01:58Speaker 10: It's old, and it's also got this weird like sadness
- 2:02:02Speaker 10: behind it. There's like I will give Tim Cup probably
- 2:02:07Speaker 10: my favorite golf movie, and it's probably got the best
- 2:02:09Speaker 10: golf ending and I think it describes what golf can
- 2:02:13Speaker 10: mean to somebody and a really weird, hippie, dippy, spiritual
- 2:02:17Speaker 10: it's more than a game kind of way.
- 2:02:19Speaker 1: So I'll give Tim Cup. But like all of the golf.
- 2:02:22Speaker 3: Movies are comedies, Vance not a comedy. Bagger Vance will
- 2:02:27Speaker 3: Smith God himself.
- 2:02:32Speaker 10: So Bagger Vance is actually walking into a huge movie
- 2:02:36Speaker 10: trope that I don't feel comfortable saying on air that
- 2:02:39Speaker 10: hasn't really aged that well. Let's just say the black
- 2:02:44Speaker 10: person comes out of nowhere with some cool mysticism, and
- 2:02:48Speaker 10: that's been.
- 2:02:48Speaker 1: Happening for a very long time in the world of.
- 2:02:52Speaker 3: Cinema, so I feel confident that.
- 2:02:54Speaker 10: There haven't really been. And all of the golf movies
- 2:02:57Speaker 10: that we just rattled golf only for golf. I can
- 2:03:00Speaker 10: name basketball movies that have ripped into mainstream pop culture.
- 2:03:05Speaker 10: There's outside of Happy Gilmour and listen, I love Happy Gilmour.
- 2:03:09Speaker 10: Watching that movie in the theaters with my family is
- 2:03:12Speaker 10: one of It's a mount rushmore memory that I have,
- 2:03:16Speaker 10: so I'll never But it's a comedy. There's no series
- 2:03:19Speaker 10: I want to. I want to drama with the genre
- 2:03:22Speaker 10: of golf movies. So I'm fine with that tape.
- 2:03:25Speaker 1: Come at me.
- 2:03:25Speaker 3: Okay. There's another one called The Greatest Game Ever Played,
- 2:03:28Speaker 3: and it has a pretty big actor and there Shilah
- 2:03:30Speaker 3: buff is a golf prodigy in the movie The Greatest
- 2:03:34Speaker 3: Game Ever Played, which is actually not a bad movie
- 2:03:36Speaker 3: because he doesn't have a bad swing. The problem I
- 2:03:38Speaker 3: have with golf movies is the people. They they get
- 2:03:41Speaker 3: the star in them. Their swings are so terrible you
- 2:03:43Speaker 3: could never buy them as an actual player.
- 2:03:47Speaker 1: You are one hundred percent. It's about the golfer. Francis
- 2:03:50Speaker 1: like Lapew or something.
- 2:03:52Speaker 3: We may or we met. Yeah, he is. So he
- 2:03:55Speaker 3: came out of nowhere to win.
- 2:03:56Speaker 10: Uh.
- 2:03:57Speaker 3: I want to say the PGA Championship against like Walter
- 2:03:59Speaker 3: Hay or something. It was, you know, he was like
- 2:04:01Speaker 3: a nobody, nobody know. I think it was like a
- 2:04:04Speaker 3: fledgling club pro and he wounds up. He winds up
- 2:04:07Speaker 3: beating the best pros out there to win. I want
- 2:04:10Speaker 3: to say it's the PGA. I'm not an hundred And
- 2:04:11Speaker 3: we have a clip at the movie just.
- 2:04:13Speaker 10: Do it make I'm true, brother, that's that's me on
- 2:04:20Speaker 10: whole fifteen. That's me after a couple of beers losing
- 2:04:24Speaker 10: it and crashing out.
- 2:04:26Speaker 1: But the reason why we are talking.
- 2:04:29Speaker 10: About all of this golf because good sauce Mo de
- 2:04:32Speaker 10: Witt collabing on a golf event. We are holding a
- 2:04:37Speaker 10: golf tournament at Orlando's Augusta.
- 2:04:40Speaker 3: Jim, what's that? What's a what is Orlando's Augusta Congo River?
- 2:04:45Speaker 1: I drive?
- 2:04:49Speaker 3: I like this is kind of calf I lie, you
- 2:04:51Speaker 3: doing a put putt tournament.
- 2:04:52Speaker 1: We're having a putt putt tournament.
- 2:04:54Speaker 10: It's February twenty eighth. We announce it on tonight's show.
- 2:04:58Speaker 10: I'm too excited not to talk to you guys about it.
- 2:05:01Speaker 10: Just call MOO dot com slash golf and this is
- 2:05:03Speaker 10: like the first time I'm talking about it. So this
- 2:05:06Speaker 10: is kind of like a scoop. This event will sell out.
- 2:05:09Speaker 10: All of Moe's events sell out, but this event in particular,
- 2:05:13Speaker 10: because well it's eighteen holes.
- 2:05:15Speaker 1: You can't have five hundred people.
- 2:05:17Speaker 3: Yeah, right, exactly, you know, yeah.
- 2:05:19Speaker 10: Yeah, So we talk about all of the putt putt
- 2:05:23Speaker 10: golfing and why we're doing this, how we're doing this, Jim,
- 2:05:26Speaker 10: guess what have you ever been to a putt putt
- 2:05:28Speaker 10: golf tournament that has a shotgun start?
- 2:05:33Speaker 3: Is that what's happening? That's cool?
- 2:05:35Speaker 1: How about when you walk.
- 2:05:36Speaker 10: Up to this event and you'll see my mom behind
- 2:05:38Speaker 10: the table going your name?
- 2:05:42Speaker 3: Is she playing?
- 2:05:43Speaker 1: Look? I don't know, but we're we're gonna put her
- 2:05:45Speaker 1: to work.
- 2:05:46Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, very good, that's very kind of you.
- 2:05:49Speaker 1: How about this?
- 2:05:49Speaker 10: Have you ever been to a putt putt golf tournament
- 2:05:52Speaker 10: and been hit with a from Palaca, Florida?
- 2:05:55Speaker 1: Jim Colbert, do you.
- 2:05:56Speaker 3: Have an announcer on every t?
- 2:05:58Speaker 10: Oh?
- 2:05:59Speaker 1: Yeah, baby, that's it's gonna be so much fun.
- 2:06:01Speaker 10: So we do definitely talk a lot about that and
- 2:06:04Speaker 10: also my really really dark relationship with the game of golf.
- 2:06:10Speaker 1: There is a lot of golf talk.
- 2:06:11Speaker 10: There's also some compliment talk, and there's also a lot
- 2:06:14Speaker 10: of lawyer movie talk, finding out Moduitt's favorite lawyer content
- 2:06:19Speaker 10: and whether it's suits or Boston Legal. I know those
- 2:06:23Speaker 10: aren't movies, those are shows, but it is such a
- 2:06:26Speaker 10: fun episode and if you want to hear a lawyer,
- 2:06:28Speaker 10: just simply put, have good typing and make everybody laugh.
- 2:06:33Speaker 1: It's a very special episode.
- 2:06:35Speaker 3: Look, I'm gonna give you a golf movie you probably
- 2:06:37Speaker 3: never heard of, but it's the story of Ben Hogan,
- 2:06:40Speaker 3: and I think in the nineteen fifty three season when
- 2:06:43Speaker 3: he has that horrible car crash and almost takes his life.
- 2:06:45Speaker 3: Then he comes back the next year and wins three
- 2:06:48Speaker 3: of the four majors. And the only reason he didn't
- 2:06:50Speaker 3: win the British Open is I think he didn't travel
- 2:06:55Speaker 3: over there to play it. But it is called Follow
- 2:06:58Speaker 3: the Sun and it was made nineteen oh it made
- 2:07:02Speaker 3: fifty one, so it actually happened before that. I thought
- 2:07:04Speaker 3: he actually got in the car wreck in the fifties.
- 2:07:06Speaker 3: Maybe it was in the forties, but it's his story
- 2:07:09Speaker 3: of how he came back and it's considered one of
- 2:07:11Speaker 3: the greatest comebacks in sports history.
- 2:07:14Speaker 10: I am dying for a good drama golf movie because
- 2:07:19Speaker 10: I love comedy.
- 2:07:21Speaker 1: But here's the weirdest thing about me.
- 2:07:23Speaker 10: I respect the game too much for it to only
- 2:07:26Speaker 10: have comedy and comedic movies. I want the grit of
- 2:07:30Speaker 10: I want to see someone crash out in a movie off.
- 2:07:33Speaker 3: Of a three putt Okay, very nice. It just starts
- 2:07:37Speaker 3: slinging putters into the water.
- 2:07:39Speaker 10: Uh, there's so many amazing things on tonight's episode. I
- 2:07:43Speaker 10: think you guys are really going to get a kick,
- 2:07:44Speaker 10: a good kick out of it.
- 2:07:45Speaker 1: The listeners are gonna love it. It's it's a very
- 2:07:47Speaker 1: very special episode, very cool.
- 2:07:49Speaker 3: So tell me again, how like if people want to
- 2:07:50Speaker 3: play in the tournament? Where do you go again?
- 2:07:53Speaker 10: So this is like the big scoop. Well, there's only
- 2:07:55Speaker 10: like one hundred tickets. This thing's gonna sell out. It's
- 2:07:58Speaker 10: just call moo dot com slam Golf. That is like
- 2:08:01Speaker 10: breaking news. I probably shouldn't even be telling you guys this,
- 2:08:04Speaker 10: and we didn't ask for permission.
- 2:08:06Speaker 3: And when is it? When is the tournament?
- 2:08:08Speaker 10: That is February twenty eighth. Sign in, You're gonna love this,
- 2:08:12Speaker 10: finn a check in? Is that two thirty shotgun start three.
- 2:08:15Speaker 3: O'clock So it's happening immediately checking go all right?
- 2:08:19Speaker 10: Very good, And there's food, there's drinks, white claws on board.
- 2:08:23Speaker 10: It's a really really cool event and it's gonna be
- 2:08:25Speaker 10: awesome to be affiliated with good Sauce on an event.
- 2:08:30Speaker 10: Joel will be there. We'll have the quiet signs on
- 2:08:32Speaker 10: certain tea boxes. It's nice, it's I told Mo when
- 2:08:37Speaker 10: we started talking about this with him and John Buzsteker,
- 2:08:39Speaker 10: I was like, the more serious we take this, the
- 2:08:42Speaker 10: better it will be memorable.
- 2:08:45Speaker 1: It will have a lot of entertainment. The more collared
- 2:08:48Speaker 1: shirts we.
- 2:08:48Speaker 3: Get and nobody has any balls if they don't bring
- 2:08:51Speaker 3: somebody to caddy for them, and then every hole they
- 2:08:53Speaker 3: go putter, putter. That's what I want to see happen.
- 2:08:59Speaker 3: I want some to do that. I want a full
- 2:09:02Speaker 3: landscaper jumpsuit with the guy's name on the back and
- 2:09:05Speaker 3: all he does is carry the one club you need
- 2:09:08Speaker 3: and then the player always goes hmmm, it's god. I
- 2:09:11Speaker 3: think it's putter.
- 2:09:14Speaker 5: I want to see the golf cart drive from holdall.
- 2:09:18Speaker 1: It's gonna get weird at the turn, by the way.
- 2:09:20Speaker 3: Very nice.
- 2:09:21Speaker 1: All right, I'll just leave that imagination up to you.
- 2:09:25Speaker 1: But I'll see you guys at the turn all right.
- 2:09:27Speaker 3: Tomorrow and Friday, more Ross tonight, good sauce at eight o'clock.
- 2:09:29Speaker 3: Listen up, and here I'm talking about this tournament coming
- 2:09:32Speaker 3: up with Moe. Always good seeing you big dog, give
- 2:09:33Speaker 3: it up. Good laugh for Ross badget than you guys
- 2:09:38Speaker 3: that much? There, you clap plenty.
- 2:09:41Speaker 4: I clap more than he deserved, frankly, And I don't
- 2:09:44Speaker 4: know what's up with the scarf.
- 2:09:45Speaker 3: So let's just move on with that. We're in agreement.
- 2:09:48Speaker 1: Oh about the scorf it's like twelve twenty you.
- 2:09:52Speaker 3: We're done with you. We gotta go. It looks good.
- 2:09:54Speaker 3: Wait wait, turn off.
- 2:09:55Speaker 10: My mic for comedic EFFECTA.
- 2:10:00Speaker 3: Alright, seven nine one four one text us at seven
- 2:10:05Speaker 3: seven zero three one. So we have a couple of
- 2:10:09Speaker 3: Florida man stories coming up, and we're gonna have a
- 2:10:11Speaker 3: little special fun with it, so stay tuned. That's coming
- 2:10:13Speaker 3: up next.
- 2:10:15Speaker 1: It's weird.
- 2:10:34Speaker 16: Ross two good two good golf movies Backer Vans and
- 2:10:39Speaker 16: that one with Kevin Kostner cheech marin I can't remember
- 2:10:44Speaker 16: the name, and he's an alcoholic.
- 2:10:47Speaker 3: Rene Russo, yeah, it was a good one. Don Johnson
- 2:10:51Speaker 3: in that movie as well.
- 2:10:52Speaker 2: So of course, Jimmy, you'd chop off a little piece
- 2:10:54Speaker 2: of your pinky for ten million dollars?
- 2:10:56Speaker 7: But would you chop off both of your middle fingers completely?
- 2:11:00Speaker 11: Pretend?
- 2:11:00Speaker 3: No? I would not do that, No, no, no, he wouldn't
- 2:11:03Speaker 3: be able to communicate with people. I knows. We get
- 2:11:06Speaker 3: so caught up. Cover crew.
- 2:11:08Speaker 6: Yeah. I had this kid, Martin Redhead junior high picked
- 2:11:11Speaker 6: on me all year because I was fat. One day
- 2:11:14Speaker 6: in the lunch line, said one too many things. I
- 2:11:17Speaker 6: grabbed him by his hair, slammed his head against the wall,
- 2:11:19Speaker 6: woke up fifteen seconds later. He was on the ground
- 2:11:22Speaker 6: and bloody, and luckily, once he woke up a week later,
- 2:11:26Speaker 6: out of his comba, his parents decided to drop charges.
- 2:11:30Speaker 3: Oh wow, that took a turn. There's that real famous
- 2:11:34Speaker 3: video of that kid that that fat kid that kept
- 2:11:38Speaker 3: getting picked on, And the school was outside of the school,
- 2:11:40Speaker 3: and the skinny kid is obviously a popular kid, and
- 2:11:43Speaker 3: he started smacking this this bigger boy around because you
- 2:11:47Speaker 3: can tell he's like just kind of one of those passive,
- 2:11:49Speaker 3: almost John Candy esque kind of kids. He was just
- 2:11:52Speaker 3: kind of plump, and you could tell he got picked
- 2:11:54Speaker 3: on a lot. And this this little skinny kid with
- 2:11:57Speaker 3: his backwards hat and his you know, shoes and stuff,
- 2:11:59Speaker 3: starts back. Man. This kid turned around but put his
- 2:12:02Speaker 3: back book back down and grabbed this kid up, threw
- 2:12:05Speaker 3: him above his head and slammed him to the ground
- 2:12:09Speaker 3: so hard that I thought they killed the kid. And
- 2:12:13Speaker 3: that kid got up and he was stumbling around.
- 2:12:16Speaker 5: Probably the last time you probably broke that kid.
- 2:12:19Speaker 3: Kid walks in the hall with no problems. Now six
- 2:12:22Speaker 3: keyword is credit c R E D I T go
- 2:12:24Speaker 3: to real radio dot FM and send that on for
- 2:12:26Speaker 3: your chance at a thousand dollars credit. Guys, that is
- 2:12:28Speaker 3: your sixth flock keyword. I'm Jim, There's deb Hello, Jack
- 2:12:32Speaker 3: is here as well. Yes, man, we have some tasty
- 2:12:35Speaker 3: Florida man stories today, and I felt that the only
- 2:12:38Speaker 3: way to really sum this up for Florida Man, Florida man,
- 2:12:42Speaker 3: is to frame it properly. All right, Jackie, Ready, Yeah,
- 2:12:46Speaker 3: here we go? Oh that kind of ready you mean? Yeah? Okay,
- 2:12:51Speaker 3: and you hit it. There we go. A man was
- 2:13:00Speaker 3: arrested when he was caught traveling at more than twice
- 2:13:03Speaker 3: the speed limit through a neighborhood on a motorcycle. Story
- 2:13:07Speaker 3: one Forida man accused of speeding and gets a DUI
- 2:13:15Speaker 3: charge on Friday in Bravard County. The motorcycle was black.
- 2:13:24Speaker 3: It was driving through neighborhoods at one hundred and five
- 2:13:27Speaker 3: miles per hour. Some of the speed zones were only
- 2:13:29Speaker 3: forty five miles per hour. Patrick Rinaldi was charged for
- 2:13:36Speaker 3: driving under the influence and refusing to submit a DUI
- 2:13:39Speaker 3: testing after witnesses told deputies that he stopped but eventually
- 2:13:42Speaker 3: got back in the car and started driving again. The
- 2:13:50Speaker 3: motorcycles swing in and out of roads, going through neighborhood
- 2:13:54Speaker 3: residential areas at one hundred and five miles an hour,
- 2:13:58Speaker 3: finally coming to stop at a resident re Renaldi was
- 2:14:03Speaker 3: driving in the car and his car was on fire
- 2:14:09Speaker 3: when they got to the car. When they got to
- 2:14:11Speaker 3: the motorcycle and stopped the guy, they realized it wasn't
- 2:14:14Speaker 3: just him. He had a child on the motorcycle with him.
- 2:14:18Speaker 3: That's wrong with that. Renaldi not only had himself in
- 2:14:26Speaker 3: the car, but the cops had to drag his wife
- 2:14:28Speaker 3: out of the car because he left her in there
- 2:14:30Speaker 3: while the car was on fire and he fled on foot.
- 2:14:39Speaker 3: Oh now both of those are true stories.
- 2:14:43Speaker 5: Oh, I've got a Florida man's story that was this.
- 2:14:47Speaker 3: Guy was driving through the residential neighborhood going one hundred
- 2:14:50Speaker 3: and five miles per hour through a forty five million
- 2:14:53Speaker 3: hour zone, ripping through a neighborhood, taking the curbs. When
- 2:14:56Speaker 3: they stopped the guy at the residence, they realized he
- 2:14:59Speaker 3: had a on the motorcycle with him, like eleven year
- 2:15:03Speaker 3: old son. Yeah, something like a kid with him, and
- 2:15:07Speaker 3: the other guy was driving on the road. They got
- 2:15:09Speaker 3: a dui. His car was on fire. They stopped him,
- 2:15:12Speaker 3: then he took back off and the car was in
- 2:15:14Speaker 3: gulden flames. He barely got out alive and his wife
- 2:15:17Speaker 3: had to be dragged out. They said he reeked of alcohol.
- 2:15:21Speaker 3: I'm like, how could you tell with all the chemical
- 2:15:24Speaker 3: smoke exactly what was yours? By the way? You sure? Yeah,
- 2:15:28Speaker 3: go ahead, sure, you're ready if we're fighting this, yeah,
- 2:15:31Speaker 3: let's do it all right.
- 2:15:32Speaker 7: So let's see today is the twenty eighth, So this
- 2:15:35Speaker 7: is on January twenty second of this year, fifty one
- 2:15:38Speaker 7: year old Kevin Dale Westerhold was reported for exposing his
- 2:15:43Speaker 7: genitals thank you channel nine, Oh no, Jack's cutting back
- 2:15:51Speaker 7: and performing oh a sexual act with a vacuum cleaner,
- 2:15:56Speaker 7: Oh God, outside a residence on Grass and Dale Street
- 2:16:00Speaker 7: and the Windsor Hills Resort in Kassimi.
- 2:16:03Speaker 3: He drove there to do it.
- 2:16:04Speaker 5: Apparently.
- 2:16:05Speaker 7: He and his wife are listed as hosts of an airbnb.
- 2:16:12Speaker 3: So he went to the airbnb, went into the front
- 2:16:15Speaker 3: yard and started doing him and started having sex with
- 2:16:18Speaker 3: a vacuum cleaner right there in the front.
- 2:16:22Speaker 7: Previous reports indicated he was seen walking nude and shared
- 2:16:25Speaker 7: hallways on January twenty first of this year, and residents
- 2:16:29Speaker 7: submitted video evidence supporting these reports.
- 2:16:33Speaker 3: Oh Man.
- 2:16:34Speaker 7: Further investigations showed that residents had been reporting complaints to
- 2:16:37Speaker 7: the homeowners association since December, describing similar behaviors, such as
- 2:16:43Speaker 7: the suspect appearing partially clothed or nude near the residence.
- 2:16:47Speaker 5: No word on f you was loving as hoover.
- 2:16:50Speaker 3: He was really loving the hoover.
- 2:16:52Speaker 5: He was arrested at his o Vido home.
- 2:16:55Speaker 3: Wow, o vito, don't say o v o vino? Oh
- 2:17:03Speaker 3: oh oh?
- 2:17:09Speaker 5: Is that an electro lux? Or you just happy to
- 2:17:11Speaker 5: see me?
- 2:17:12Speaker 3: Me my girlfriend Dyson. Oh, I wouldn't mess for the dicon.
- 2:17:16Speaker 3: Ten times of sucking power over there, ten times a
- 2:17:22Speaker 3: sucking power hoover, electrologs, but a dice it right off,
- 2:17:26Speaker 3: all right. You won't believe what this curb we can do.
- 2:17:30Speaker 3: Didn't even have to buy her dinner. She's heavy though.
- 2:17:39Speaker 7: Imagine being missus Westerhold unbelievable, dude, so proud.
- 2:17:44Speaker 5: You know, it's so proud when the neighbors look at you.
- 2:17:49Speaker 3: Yeah. And then lastly, here today, we'll get this little
- 2:17:52Speaker 3: story here before we get to tell out of here today.
- 2:17:54Speaker 3: Uh so, you know we it's so funny. Scott was
- 2:17:56Speaker 3: talking about driving Scott Maxwell a little bit earlier, by
- 2:17:59Speaker 3: the way, you check out sky that's segment on an
- 2:18:01Speaker 3: hour podcast from Corporate Live dot com. Yeah, and it
- 2:18:03Speaker 3: was talking about the safest places to drive in America,
- 2:18:07Speaker 3: the safest states to drive in America.
- 2:18:09Speaker 5: Definitely nowhere in Florida.
- 2:18:11Speaker 3: And it is kind of interesting how they kind of
- 2:18:13Speaker 3: come up with the numbers.
- 2:18:14Speaker 5: Were gonna say, Jack Mon, Nope, he was laughing at me,
- 2:18:17Speaker 5: sing nowhere in Florida.
- 2:18:18Speaker 3: Yeah. The study its ubliics at factors like traffic safety,
- 2:18:21Speaker 3: gas prices, local mechanics, and more to figure out which
- 2:18:24Speaker 3: areas were placed among the best. They did all this
- 2:18:27Speaker 3: and they found out what do you think the number
- 2:18:29Speaker 3: one state is when it comes to the easiest states
- 2:18:32Speaker 3: to drive in?
- 2:18:36Speaker 16: Ah?
- 2:18:37Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a tough one.
- 2:18:40Speaker 4: I think densely populated works against you, even though it
- 2:18:43Speaker 4: would have a lot of those things.
- 2:18:44Speaker 3: But then you have the traffic.
- 2:18:48Speaker 5: I'm gonna go Illinois.
- 2:18:50Speaker 3: Oh nice, I am. Let me tell you where Illinois falls,
- 2:18:53Speaker 3: just to give you an idea. Yeah, that'll help. Let
- 2:18:56Speaker 3: me find it here. Illinois is number twenty five on
- 2:19:00Speaker 3: the list. Give me New Hampshire, Give you New Hampshire.
- 2:19:04Speaker 3: There you go, let's see. New Hampshire is number forty
- 2:19:09Speaker 3: three on the list. Wow. You know what I can
- 2:19:14Speaker 3: say is I think that the area is and it's
- 2:19:16Speaker 3: weird because when I tell you the one up front,
- 2:19:19Speaker 3: it's gonna freak out and it really flies in the
- 2:19:20Speaker 3: face of what I'm about to say. But you would
- 2:19:23Speaker 3: think up there, like driving in the ice and that
- 2:19:25Speaker 3: inclement weather would be way more difficult because when you
- 2:19:28Speaker 3: go up there, if you have it driven in the snow,
- 2:19:30Speaker 3: it's it's horrifying. It's a game change, it is, really.
- 2:19:33Speaker 3: But equally, when we hear people come to Florida and
- 2:19:35Speaker 3: they drive in these in these afternoon thunderstorms we get
- 2:19:38Speaker 3: in the uh in the summer, they equate it to
- 2:19:40Speaker 3: being like, you know, driving in the snow or other
- 2:19:43Speaker 3: weather that we don't get here. Vermont's number one. Vermont next, Yeah, Vermont.
- 2:19:49Speaker 3: Vermont is number one damn, it says, Uh, it's Vermont
- 2:19:54Speaker 3: is number one, it's his other Uh. And then where
- 2:19:57Speaker 3: do you think Florida falls? How can New Hampshire be
- 2:20:00Speaker 3: so far down the list? Number one? Again? I mean
- 2:20:03Speaker 3: when you look at the metrics here of what they
- 2:20:05Speaker 3: of what they include into the list is interested, it
- 2:20:08Speaker 3: says the study it's help looks at factors like traffic safety,
- 2:20:11Speaker 3: gas prices, local mechanics, uh, and more to figure out
- 2:20:15Speaker 3: which areas are placed among the best. Now I can
- 2:20:17Speaker 3: think that and more could have a massive impact on
- 2:20:20Speaker 3: your decision on where you picked. Do you think Florida's
- 2:20:24Speaker 3: in the top ten? Hell?
- 2:20:25Speaker 10: No?
- 2:20:28Speaker 3: Yeah, Floridas number six? Yeah? Whoa which I And I
- 2:20:32Speaker 3: will tell you I agree with that, and I'll tell
- 2:20:34Speaker 3: you why when they when they expanded I four. And
- 2:20:38Speaker 3: for people who don't live in the area, I am sorry,
- 2:20:40Speaker 3: but we have a road that runs right through the
- 2:20:42Speaker 3: dead center of Orlando and it's it's everything. It's Internet,
- 2:20:45Speaker 3: It's Internet Interstate four And for the longest time it
- 2:20:49Speaker 3: was the biggest cause of problems for traffic in Orlando
- 2:20:52Speaker 3: because it was the feeder road that led to all
- 2:20:54Speaker 3: the other roads, like you know, the East West Expressway
- 2:20:56Speaker 3: or you know, the four oh eight, And now we
- 2:20:57Speaker 3: have a you know, a much more comprehensive system of
- 2:21:02Speaker 3: roads around Orlando to make it easier to get there,
- 2:21:04Speaker 3: which also alleviated some of the traffic. But man, I
- 2:21:07Speaker 3: gotta tell you, I haven't been a traffic jam and ipour.
- 2:21:09Speaker 3: And since they did the construction, they did a thing
- 2:21:12Speaker 3: called IFO Ultimate where they build an express lane and
- 2:21:14Speaker 3: they widened it, and really that kind of took a
- 2:21:17Speaker 3: lot of the traffic that I experienced away.
- 2:21:19Speaker 4: We complained a lot when they talked about there's going
- 2:21:21Speaker 4: to be a seven year project. It even went more
- 2:21:24Speaker 4: than that, and it was also over budget, and it
- 2:21:28Speaker 4: was a pain driving through it while.
- 2:21:30Speaker 3: They were doing it.
- 2:21:31Speaker 4: But the two things, One is the engineering and the
- 2:21:34Speaker 4: planning involved to keep a road open while rebuilding the
- 2:21:38Speaker 4: whole thing.
- 2:21:39Speaker 3: And second, I think they got it right. They nailed it.
- 2:21:42Speaker 4: It's not at turn to me. You know, I don't
- 2:21:45Speaker 4: tell my daughters don't drive on a floor. I feel
- 2:21:48Speaker 4: it's safe to use, whether it's I love having the
- 2:21:51Speaker 4: alternative of the toll lanes, and when they first announced that,
- 2:21:54Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm never using the toll lanes and.
- 2:21:56Speaker 3: Dude, you were one hundred percent right. And for people
- 2:21:57Speaker 3: who live in the central Florida area, I mean there's
- 2:21:59Speaker 3: like a network you would text people and go, hey, whatever,
- 2:22:01Speaker 3: you don't get on I four right now? Yeah, Devi
- 2:22:03Speaker 3: and I would talk about that one with other roads
- 2:22:06Speaker 3: leading in the area, like, hey, we would check the
- 2:22:08Speaker 3: damn traffic before we would leave at night.
- 2:22:10Speaker 4: Now I believe that is true until you get to
- 2:22:14Speaker 4: where I four hits the five twenty eight, the beachline. Yeah,
- 2:22:17Speaker 4: and then south of that is the Disney area and
- 2:22:21Speaker 4: that is still a hot.
- 2:22:22Speaker 3: But then that's where they're building the new express lane.
- 2:22:25Speaker 3: It's gonna go all the way to Celebration, which basically
- 2:22:27Speaker 3: starts Polk County, so you'll be able to kind of
- 2:22:29Speaker 3: race the Orlando and get down there. I don't think
- 2:22:31Speaker 3: it's gonna help though, I mean, there's just there's so much.
- 2:22:34Speaker 4: We said the same thing about the other part, but
- 2:22:36Speaker 4: you know they need it to because it's like, no
- 2:22:39Speaker 4: matter what time of day, it's like, you know, there's
- 2:22:41Speaker 4: gonna be some congestion in the theme park area, specifically
- 2:22:46Speaker 4: the Disney theme park.
- 2:22:47Speaker 3: Here it goes Vermont, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and of course
- 2:22:51Speaker 3: you can imagine that. I mean, there's nobody out there.
- 2:22:53Speaker 3: This is just these vast wastelands of road with nothing Indiana, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee,
- 2:22:58Speaker 3: North Carolina, and Minnesota coming in at number ten. Deb
- 2:23:02Speaker 3: your Lovely Wisconsin. Where do you guys think you fall?
- 2:23:06Speaker 5: Sixteen?
- 2:23:07Speaker 3: No, you're thirty two? Whoa? And then where do you
- 2:23:09Speaker 3: think Jersey falls? Jack Your Lovely Jersey fourteen twenty seven?
- 2:23:17Speaker 3: Jack dammit twenty seven? Thought about that? Well, it's so
- 2:23:20Speaker 3: densely populated and the traffic stop. Yeah, that's it, says.
- 2:23:24Speaker 3: Other notable Florida placements on wallet Hub's latest ranking include
- 2:23:27Speaker 3: this the lowest percentage of rush hour traffic. We were
- 2:23:31Speaker 3: ranting number five there, which I thought was kind of crazy.
- 2:23:34Speaker 3: Most auto repair shops per capita, We were number five there.
- 2:23:38Speaker 3: And how about this one? You ready, where do you
- 2:23:40Speaker 3: think we rank with most car washes per capitol in
- 2:23:44Speaker 3: the state of Florida. We got to be in the
- 2:23:45Speaker 3: top three.
- 2:23:46Speaker 5: Back you're gonna say, if you've been to Mount Dora,
- 2:23:48Speaker 5: we're a top three.
- 2:23:50Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I think we get him popping up every day.
- 2:23:52Speaker 3: Never is right. I swear I think that you could
- 2:23:55Speaker 3: throw a baseball from one to the other. Oh yeah,
- 2:23:58Speaker 3: there must be on just on four forty one from
- 2:24:00Speaker 3: the minute you enter, so the minute you get to
- 2:24:02Speaker 3: use this, there must be five. I think people watch
- 2:24:04Speaker 3: you breaking bad and say car wash. Yeah, yeah, let's
- 2:24:07Speaker 3: do that. They are everywhere number one, tied with California, Texas, Illinois,
- 2:24:15Speaker 3: and Jersey of all people. Yeah, the most car washes
- 2:24:18Speaker 3: per capita are those states, which makes perfect sense. And
- 2:24:21Speaker 3: Jersey up there you're washing off the salt from the winter,
- 2:24:24Speaker 3: right and then of course in Florida and California you're
- 2:24:26Speaker 3: washing off the salt from the beach and whatnot. And
- 2:24:29Speaker 3: I will tell you, man, that guy had one in
- 2:24:32Speaker 3: Peetown for a while and it was two bays and
- 2:24:34Speaker 3: you know how, you know how fancy it was. You
- 2:24:36Speaker 3: got the sprayer one, that's it. You had to bring
- 2:24:39Speaker 3: your own sponge, you brought your own soap, everything. You
- 2:24:42Speaker 3: basically you got to use a pressure washer and that
- 2:24:45Speaker 3: was it. And that thing had a line outside it
- 2:24:47Speaker 3: and there was so much sand from the beach being
- 2:24:50Speaker 3: washed off there. They had a kid that would come
- 2:24:51Speaker 3: out there and shovel it out every like three or
- 2:24:54Speaker 3: four hours. That's how much sand was being washed off
- 2:24:57Speaker 3: cars in that little car wash.
- 2:24:58Speaker 4: When I and we're talking twenty you know, late nineties.
- 2:25:02Speaker 4: When I moved into my current house at the end
- 2:25:03Speaker 4: of the block, there was always a car wash there,
- 2:25:05Speaker 4: but it was one just like that. It had the
- 2:25:07Speaker 4: pits you put the coins in, and then you had
- 2:25:10Speaker 4: your pressure washer. And since then they've they've put a
- 2:25:13Speaker 4: real one in, and I was like, oh, let's see
- 2:25:17Speaker 4: how that does. There's always, always always cars in there,
- 2:25:21Speaker 4: always that.
- 2:25:21Speaker 3: Mister mister thing right that one. It's up there by Lows.
- 2:25:25Speaker 3: I think my wife has a second bedroom in that one.
- 2:25:29Speaker 3: She goes there, She takes her car through there every
- 2:25:31Speaker 3: single day, almost every other day, and she is in
- 2:25:33Speaker 3: there every and it does a good job. Though.
- 2:25:35Speaker 4: One of the great business plans they this this membership,
- 2:25:39Speaker 4: this monthly membership. You give them one price and you figure, oh,
- 2:25:43Speaker 4: I can just I'll go and I can go as
- 2:25:45Speaker 4: often as I want. So you're not encumbered about going, right,
- 2:25:47Speaker 4: and so you just you get used to going, and
- 2:25:50Speaker 4: every month it just disappears off your credit card.
- 2:25:53Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:25:53Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:25:54Speaker 3: You know what's weird, is I say weird? Do you
- 2:25:57Speaker 3: use all of your costco? Do you use everything that
- 2:26:01Speaker 3: your membership gives you. Now do you know how much
- 2:26:04Speaker 3: you get with that membership? Now, dude. I was reading
- 2:26:06Speaker 3: a piece the other day and it said, uh, these
- 2:26:09Speaker 3: are the things you probably don't know you can get
- 2:26:11Speaker 3: at Costco. It was Jack, I'm telling you, like, I
- 2:26:15Speaker 3: couldn't believe we hadn't talked about it. Medical insurance, car insurance.
- 2:26:19Speaker 3: I mean, like houses use cars, man, there is a
- 2:26:24Speaker 3: network with Costco that gets you in the damn near anything.
- 2:26:28Speaker 1: It was great.
- 2:26:29Speaker 3: The list was I was just scrolling. I'm like, god,
- 2:26:31Speaker 3: dang man.
- 2:26:32Speaker 4: It's one of the reasons why like and so now
- 2:26:35Speaker 4: I'm using it to check things like I'll check auto
- 2:26:38Speaker 4: insurance before I, you know, change again. But it's I
- 2:26:42Speaker 4: recently changed cell phone plan for my family and I
- 2:26:45Speaker 4: went through Costco to do it because they were added benefits.
- 2:26:48Speaker 3: It's amazing, man, I'm telling you.
- 2:26:49Speaker 5: You know, travel packages I've heard of, right, Yeah.
- 2:26:53Speaker 3: You get that package and you're like, well, I just
- 2:26:55Speaker 3: want to go in there and buy stuff, you know,
- 2:26:56Speaker 3: in bulk, not thinking how many other opportunities you have
- 2:26:59Speaker 3: to get stuff. Man. Anybody that's got a Costco package
- 2:27:01Speaker 3: out there or a card man, go research what that
- 2:27:03Speaker 3: could do for you. I'm sure Sam's is the same way,
- 2:27:06Speaker 3: but it is. It is crazy how much stuff these
- 2:27:09Speaker 3: guys offer. And and here's the thing, like, even if
- 2:27:12Speaker 3: you choose like just two or three of these services,
- 2:27:15Speaker 3: they offer the average savings if I remember, it was
- 2:27:17Speaker 3: like a thousand to fifteen d a year, So I
- 2:27:20Speaker 3: mean theoretically, if you use just three of these services,
- 2:27:23Speaker 3: you could put almost five K in your pocket for
- 2:27:25Speaker 3: a year for a sixty dollars annual members. It's simply amazing.
- 2:27:28Speaker 3: allR W. Yeah, what do you have for news?
- 2:27:31Speaker 7: The LA City Council is concerned about talks of World
- 2:27:35Speaker 7: Cup and Olympics boycotts, Closer to home, demolition begins at
- 2:27:39Speaker 7: the shutdown Freedo lay plant here in Orlando, and a
- 2:27:42Speaker 7: fuel mix up prompts a state investigation. We'll talk about
- 2:27:47Speaker 7: that next during you heard it here first, all.
- 2:27:49Speaker 3: Right, don't forget your six o'clock keyword his credit crdit
- 2:27:53Speaker 3: go to real radio do FM and send that off

- 2:27:57Speaker 3: news and we'll get the hell out of here on
- 2:27:58Speaker 3: a Wednesday.
- 2:28:18Speaker 4: So our friends at TK law always want to remind
- 2:28:21Speaker 4: us to look ahead.
- 2:28:21Speaker 3: What a great idea.
- 2:28:23Speaker 4: Looking ahead on real Radio tomorrow on the Monsters Thursday edition.
- 2:28:27Speaker 4: That means Daisy on with the Monsters, plus more chances
- 2:28:31Speaker 4: for you to win a thousand dollars starting at nine

- 2:28:36Speaker 3: Let's get more winners.
- 2:28:39Speaker 4: And when it comes time for you and your family
- 2:28:40Speaker 4: to look ahead for their well being and anything related

- 2:28:47Speaker 4: You find them online at one firm for.
- 2:28:53Speaker 8: JIMGMS.
- 2:28:54Speaker 9: I'm so glad you talked about Ranaldi no bs.
- 2:28:59Speaker 3: I used to live with that man.
- 2:29:01Speaker 9: I used to work for his landscape and company and
- 2:29:04Speaker 9: he also did shutter work together. He is a mess.
- 2:29:09Speaker 9: And what he said he only had one beer.
- 2:29:12Speaker 8: We would get into the work truck in the morning.
- 2:29:14Speaker 9: He'd fill up big old jug of wine and ginger ao.
- 2:29:18Speaker 8: He was okay.
- 2:29:22Speaker 3: When that guy says you're a mess, time to Readjust.
- 2:29:25Speaker 6: So yesterday during the livery, Jimmy almost gets dumb because
- 2:29:29Speaker 6: he's like, oh, they won't put up with any of
- 2:29:31Speaker 6: that stuff.
- 2:29:35Speaker 3: And then now today he's like, for twenty five thousand,
- 2:29:39Speaker 3: you know, I just tell my wife I'm going gay.
- 2:29:43Speaker 3: I mean I'm gonna go play gamble Yeah and the
- 2:29:50Speaker 3: good catch Jimmy, thank you body. You would go gay
- 2:29:52Speaker 3: for twenty five O, I would not, way less, way
- 2:29:57Speaker 3: less Lay Gonna Live festival coming up this weekend.
- 2:30:02Speaker 4: I know a guy that's gonna be there. It's gonna
- 2:30:04Speaker 4: be February, February seventh.
- 2:30:05Speaker 3: Apologies at one Stage, Endless Hits, One Unforgettable Day. Jack
- 2:30:09Speaker 3: Bradshaw from The Jim Colbert sure will be there. The
- 2:30:11Speaker 3: ultimate outdoor music experience. It's gonna be awesome. The weather
- 2:30:15Speaker 3: should be absolutely perfect. Boxy Park is one of the
- 2:30:18Speaker 3: coolest spots in Orlando. If you haven't been out there yet,
- 2:30:20Speaker 3: you gotta go do it. Great food, drinks, plenty of
- 2:30:23Speaker 3: space to relax, dance, just taking that music. Cover bands
- 2:30:26Speaker 3: or tribute bands, I should say, from Fleetwood, Mac to Queen,
- 2:30:29Speaker 3: the Red Hot, Chili Peppers, Taylor Swift, It's gonna be
- 2:30:32Speaker 3: a blast, Ye Santana and Zach Brown Band as well. Yeah,
- 2:30:35Speaker 3: very nice. So it's gonna be a lot of great music.
- 2:30:37Speaker 4: It's gonna be a fun atmosphere, festival type atmosphere all
- 2:30:41Speaker 4: day long. I'll be there for a good portion of it.
- 2:30:43Speaker 4: So let's have fun at the lawn at Boxy Park.
- 2:30:46Speaker 3: Absolutely, don't forget this Friday, just a couple of days.
- 2:30:49Speaker 3: At three o'clock, our tickets go on sale for our
- 2:30:51Speaker 3: Bourbon Bus, which we just announced yesterday. Three stops, samplings, prizes, food.
- 2:30:58Speaker 3: It's going to be a blast. The prices very affordable
- 2:31:01Speaker 3: for what you're getting, so a lot of surprises too.
- 2:31:04Speaker 3: So if you want to grab that ticket, there's only
- 2:31:05Speaker 3: like fifty available. Yeah, so when they go on sale
- 2:31:07Speaker 3: on Friday, you definitely want to grab one. Yeah, shout
- 2:31:10Speaker 3: out to MCA Transportation.
- 2:31:12Speaker 4: We do you know that must holds fifty five and
- 2:31:14Speaker 4: there's Jim, myself, Ross, maybe a couple other people and then, oh,
- 2:31:19Speaker 4: you know, we're.
- 2:31:19Speaker 3: Selling the rest of those seats. And I got another
- 2:31:21Speaker 3: guy that may be interested. I asked him today and
- 2:31:24Speaker 3: he said, well, I'm may go on a Bourbon Bus.
- 2:31:26Speaker 3: I kind of like bourbon Is it? Scott Maxwell?
- 2:31:28Speaker 2: It is?
- 2:31:28Speaker 7: Scott Maxwell's just about saying Scott to be Maxwell.
- 2:31:31Speaker 3: Well we'll talk about that later, but deb get some
- 2:31:34Speaker 3: news for us. Yeah, let's do time for you heard.
- 2:31:38Speaker 2: It here first on the Jim Colbert Show.
- 2:31:41Speaker 7: And this makes me think of our guy Ross right,
- 2:31:43Speaker 7: because he's so ganged about the World Cup being in
- 2:31:46Speaker 7: the States this year. But Los Angeles City Council members
- 2:31:49Speaker 7: are voicing some concerns about talks of boycotting this Summer's
- 2:31:53Speaker 7: World Cup and the twenty twenty eight Olympics. Council members
- 2:31:56Speaker 7: have called for the city and LA twenty eight to
- 2:31:59Speaker 7: have a quote hard and honest and quote conversation about
- 2:32:03Speaker 7: a potential backup plan in case there is a widespread
- 2:32:06Speaker 7: boycott of the games. There have already been calls for
- 2:32:09Speaker 7: a boycott of the Summer's World Cup due to the
- 2:32:12Speaker 7: Trump administration's recent actions involving Venezuela and Greenland. In fact,
- 2:32:17Speaker 7: the vice president of the German Football Association this week
- 2:32:20Speaker 7: said it's time to quote seriously consider and discuss end
- 2:32:23Speaker 7: quote a World Cup boycott. Wow, And those calls are
- 2:32:27Speaker 7: growing even louder throughout much of Europe.
- 2:32:29Speaker 3: I heard about the Winter Olympics thing, when you talked
- 2:32:32Speaker 3: about having Ice go over for safety that immediately they
- 2:32:34Speaker 3: drew rebuke.
- 2:32:35Speaker 7: Oh yeah, well Ice is also going to be at
- 2:32:37Speaker 7: the Super Bowl. But that of course is an American tradition, right,
- 2:32:40Speaker 7: But yeah, so we'll keep you posting on that. All right,
- 2:32:43Speaker 7: the Fredo Lay plant in Orlando is being demolished after
- 2:32:47Speaker 7: sixty years in business.
- 2:32:48Speaker 3: So crazy.
- 2:32:49Speaker 7: The company stopped operations back in November, and unfortunately that
- 2:32:52Speaker 7: resulted in at least over four hundred and fifty layoffs.
- 2:32:55Speaker 7: Freda Lay says the decision to close the plant was difficult.
- 2:32:59Speaker 7: It's not yet known what will happen with the property
- 2:33:01Speaker 7: once the plant is finally torn down.
- 2:33:04Speaker 5: I'm going to say a lot of kachin kitching.
- 2:33:06Speaker 3: Ki, you know what. I was just thinking about that.
- 2:33:07Speaker 3: That's a really unique part of town because it's right
- 2:33:10Speaker 3: on the edge of Pine Hills and College Park.
- 2:33:12Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's right by what used to be got
- 2:33:15Speaker 5: to Ease that rubber hose company.
- 2:33:17Speaker 3: Yeah, Amazon, But it's actually down the road from Amazon.
- 2:33:19Speaker 3: There's a wall wall in that corner, and Heinzelman's Ford
- 2:33:21Speaker 3: used to be right there as well. There's a seven
- 2:33:23Speaker 3: to eleven. But behind that, it's just like an industrial
- 2:33:25Speaker 3: park that leads into Pine Hills. Yeah, exactly. My dad's
- 2:33:28Speaker 3: print shops just across the street from it. I used
- 2:33:29Speaker 3: to smell that thing every day.
- 2:33:30Speaker 7: And on the other side is College Park, so I
- 2:33:33Speaker 7: could see some gentrification of that area. And then finally,
- 2:33:37Speaker 7: drivers are facing costly repairs. I don't know why drivers
- 2:33:41Speaker 7: are personally, I think the business should. But like I said,
- 2:33:44Speaker 7: drivers are facing costly repairs after a Circle K and Nacomas, Florida,
- 2:33:49Speaker 7: accidentally pumped diesel into a regular gasoline storage tank. Oh no,
- 2:33:55Speaker 7: that's bad news, very bad news, because several customers say
- 2:33:59Speaker 7: their cars sputtered, stalled, or needed to be towed shortly
- 2:34:03Speaker 7: after filling up.
- 2:34:04Speaker 3: Of course, yeah, yep.
- 2:34:05Speaker 7: Circle K says the wrong fuel was delivered by mistake,
- 2:34:09Speaker 7: and the company shut down the pumps, cleaned the tanks,
- 2:34:11Speaker 7: and is reimbursing affected drivers. State agricultural officials are investigating
- 2:34:16Speaker 7: and urge anyone impacted by the mix up to file
- 2:34:20Speaker 7: a company plane.
- 2:34:21Speaker 3: That's going to be more than just you owe me
- 2:34:23Speaker 3: for the gas. Oh, it's going to be way more
- 2:34:26Speaker 3: than that. I hope they don't think that's going to
- 2:34:27Speaker 3: be the end of it. Like, Okay, here's your fifty
- 2:34:29Speaker 3: three dollars exactly. No, thanks, buddy, I got bad news
- 2:34:32Speaker 3: for you, dude, very bad news. Yeah, and you heard
- 2:34:35Speaker 3: it here first.
- 2:34:36Speaker 5: I'm the Jim Culvert.
- 2:34:36Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 2:34:37Speaker 3: I appreciate thanks your job. As always, who do we
- 2:34:39Speaker 3: have to think? Todays?
- 2:34:41Speaker 7: We want to thank Darryl Payne of Perfection Dog Training.
- 2:34:44Speaker 7: Thank you so much, Darryl. I also want to thank
- 2:34:47Speaker 7: Orlando's Sentinel columnist Scott Maxwell, Ross Paget with Good Sauce
- 2:34:51Speaker 7: with Brost and Joel just in case you missed Animal
- 2:34:53Speaker 7: House or Scott Maxwell or even Ross. All three podcasts
- 2:34:57Speaker 7: have already been posted at The Jim Culbert Show. And then,
- 2:35:00Speaker 7: but never least, Sam Bowen and Candice Rich for running
- 2:35:03Speaker 7: our YouTube chat.
- 2:35:03Speaker 3: Yeah, thanks, guys, we appreciate it, as we do every day.
- 2:35:05Speaker 3: We're as will being with us tomorrow and Friday.
- 2:35:07Speaker 4: Jack, question of the day, would you cut off half
- 2:35:10Speaker 4: your pinky for ten thousand dollars?
- 2:35:13Speaker 3: Ten grand? Weirdest question ten grand is no, Man, I
- 2:35:18Speaker 3: don't think many people are gonna do it. Jack, I'll go,
- 2:35:21Speaker 3: I'll go eleven percent say they would double it?
- 2:35:24Speaker 1: Oh?
- 2:35:25Speaker 3: Really wow, man.
- 2:35:27Speaker 5: Affordability is an issue in this country.
- 2:35:30Speaker 3: Unfortunately, it's like three months rent. Yeah, exactly, all right,
- 2:35:33Speaker 3: coming up tomorrow, we'll have Danny Myering in for Date Night.
- 2:35:36Speaker 3: Done right. Our final Froggers football forecast will be tomorrow. Yeah,
- 2:35:43Speaker 3: a super Bowl. Oh no, we're not doing it tomorrow,
- 2:35:45Speaker 3: We're doing.
- 2:35:45Speaker 4: It the following No, we can do it tomorrow and
- 2:35:47Speaker 4: we can do it the following week and get two
- 2:35:49Speaker 4: meals out of frog.
- 2:35:50Speaker 3: Oh yeah, we can do that for sure. All we
- 2:35:51Speaker 3: have to do is talk about sports. Oh yeah, we're
- 2:35:53Speaker 3: doing the prop bets. Yeah yeah, so we'll do some
- 2:35:55Speaker 3: stuff like that as well, plus plus thank you, so sorry,
- 2:36:00Speaker 3: Glenn Clausman, and tomorrow for Cobra Court as well. And
- 2:36:03Speaker 3: that's it. Let's get the hell out here. What do
- 2:36:04Speaker 3: you say? I think that sounds like a great idea.
- 2:36:06Speaker 3: All right, on't we having Devin Jack? I'm Jim. We
- 2:36:08Speaker 3: follow the New Junkie. They follow the monsters in the morning.
- 2:36:10Speaker 3: After us, it's Tom and Dan with the corporate time
- 2:36:12Speaker 3: and our friends from Real Last plus good Sauce. We'll
- 2:36:14Speaker 3: see tomorrow at three for more of The Jim Colbert Show.
- 2:36:16Speaker 3: Until then, have yourself a fantastic Wednesday evening and go
