- 1:20Dayna Roselli: We catch up with Lisa Vanderpump on the opening red carpet of her second Las Vegas lounge and restaurant at Paris, Las Vegas.
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: I absolutely adore France.
- 1:30SPEAKER_02: I speak French.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: To me, it was a dream to open in Paris.
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: I love my Caesars family.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: And when they said, okay, if you want to create the sexiest bar, I'm like, I'm on this.
- 1:40Sean McAllister: We also chat with Instinct's Lance Bass, who's been here in Las Vegas a lot lately.
- 1:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I love my Vegas.
- 1:48SPEAKER_03: You know, I used to live here years ago, so I really fell in love with it then.
- 1:51SPEAKER_03: And I've always wanted to be able to get back here.
- 1:54Dayna Roselli: And we attend tons of events up and down the Las Vegas Strip.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: Let's get to the details and kick things off.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: You ready, Sean?
- 2:01Sean McAllister: I'm ready.
- 2:02Sean McAllister: Let's spin that wheel.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: Welcome everyone to Vegas Revealed episode 117.
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli and Sean McAllister here, ready to talk about everything going on in Las Vegas and all the hot topics.
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: We mentioned last week that we had a full slew of events all in a row, and we want to get to some of those today.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: Hi, Sean.
- 2:30Sean McAllister: Hi, Dana.
- 2:31Sean McAllister: How are you?
- 2:31Dayna Roselli: Good, good.
- 2:33Sean McAllister: I don't know how I'm how I'm feeling after so many events and so many cocktails.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: We did have a lot of cocktails.
- 2:40Dayna Roselli: And that's the thing.
- 2:41Dayna Roselli: So many people have said, because we post them on our social media, like, what's in that?
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: What is that?
- 2:46Dayna Roselli: And I've got to like take pictures of the menus of the things that we do and go, well, it's got this.
- 2:50Dayna Roselli: And if I forget, I want to hit myself in the head and go, oh, sorry, I don't know.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: Just go try it.
- 2:55Dayna Roselli: It was really good.
- 2:56Sean McAllister: Well, I'll tell you what, if we're talking about the cocktails that they're serving over at Wynn Las Vegas and some of their newly redesigned uh bars and lounges, even if we told you how to make these drinks, you probably wouldn't have the ingredients that they're using because uh the mixologist over at Wynn, she's absolutely phenomenal.
- 3:20Sean McAllister: And she's actually created some of the ingredients that that go into this.
- 3:25Sean McAllister: You can't find them anywhere else.
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: No, and they were delicious, and they're beautiful too.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: They really are, they're works of art.
- 3:31Dayna Roselli: I mean, I had someone uh send me a direct message and say, How can I get one of those passport wallets that you got that says Win on it?
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: Because I showed it in one of our videos, and I'm like, I don't know.
- 3:40Dayna Roselli: I'm assuming they're for sale in the gift shop, but you and I went on basically a cocktail tour where we got these passport, you know, kind of uh wallets in there.
- 3:49Dayna Roselli: It told us go here, go there, you know, go to aft lounge, go to overlook and pick up your cocktail, get your get your passport stamped, and then we got a gift when we left.
- 3:58Dayna Roselli: It was a lot of fun, but a great way to kind of circle around and see all the new changes.
- 4:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, it it was.
- 4:03Sean McAllister: And I it it was nautical themed.
- 4:06Sean McAllister: There were, you know, uh uh servers in nautical outfits pointing us to where we needed to go.
- 4:13Sean McAllister: Um the cocktails, top notch.
- 4:16Sean McAllister: We've talked about the a lot of those cocktails before on the podcast.
- 4:20Sean McAllister: Um, but what's new is uh the lounge aft, which is kind of an outdoor lounge overlooking the Lake of Dreams over at Wynn.
- 4:30Sean McAllister: Uh it's gotten a a redo.
- 4:33Sean McAllister: It looks uh like very Mediterranean, doesn't it?
- 4:36Dayna Roselli: Well, it does, and I've spent tons of time there through the years.
- 4:39Dayna Roselli: One of my favorite places when when family comes into town, me and a certain group of friends always go there and relax.
- 4:46Dayna Roselli: I I was a regular on that patio.
- 4:48Dayna Roselli: So now it's aft lounge, like you said, and it does have that kind of theme to it.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: But what they did change is instead of just kind of tables and couch sets, it they have like built-in booths with like overhang umbrellas, kinda, you know, and I think the way that they've leveled it, it's it's kind of just like a step down.
- 5:05Dayna Roselli: I think they were able to add more tables in there.
- 5:08Sean McAllister: Right.
- 5:09Dayna Roselli: And which was cool, but you're right, the look is very Mediterranean, you know, for sure, and it has a certain feel.
- 5:17Sean McAllister: Well, it and it almost felt like if you were in a nightclub and you were over in the booths, like the VIP booths.
- 5:23Sean McAllister: Right.
- 5:24Sean McAllister: That's the kind of feel that it had.
- 5:26Sean McAllister: And it was almost stadium seating with that arrangement so that you could get a great view of the show that happens out at the Lake of Dreams.
- 5:34Sean McAllister: So When does everything top-notch.
- 5:37Sean McAllister: Thank you for having us over.
- 5:39Sean McAllister: The the cocktails were delicious, the the appetizers were delicious, and everything was beautiful as usual.
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: Something else we did was go to the grand opening of Vanderpump A Paris over at Paris, Las Vegas, and this is Lisa Vanderpump's second location in Las Vegas.
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: It's a cocktail lounge and restaurant, and obviously, because it's in the Paris, Paris themed.
- 6:07Dayna Roselli: And what a red carpet that was.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: She came down with uh guys on each arm and her poodles.
- 6:13Sean McAllister: And there were show girls doing like the whole, you know, Paris feather dance kind of things.
- 6:19Sean McAllister: They had a big feather fans that they were doing a little, you know, show and dance with.
- 6:24Sean McAllister: And, you know, obviously it was a big spectacle when Lisa made her appearance on the red carpet.
- 6:31Dayna Roselli: It was.
- 6:31Sean McAllister: And people were cheering, it was packed.
- 6:33Dayna Roselli: It was a lot of fun.
- 6:35Dayna Roselli: But uh, before we chat a little bit about it, we did uh have an interview with Lisa, which was great.
- 6:40Dayna Roselli: We heard like she's not really doing red carpet interviews, and we're like, you know what, Lisa, get over here.
- 6:44Dayna Roselli: We're in interviewing you for Vegas Revealed.
- 6:46Dayna Roselli: So she obliged.
- 6:47Sean McAllister: So, Lisa, when you uh come to Paris, Las Vegas, I mean, like you really bring the Paris complete with the French poodles.
- 6:55SPEAKER_02: Oh, absolutely.
- 6:56SPEAKER_02: Well, I lived in France for like seven years, so I absolutely adore France.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: I speak French to me.
- 7:02SPEAKER_02: It was a dream to open in Paris.
- 7:04SPEAKER_02: I love my Caesars family.
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: And when they said, okay, if you want to create the sexiest bar, I'm like, I'm on this.
- 7:10SPEAKER_02: I got this, and I think we delivered.
- 7:13Dayna Roselli: And you know, it's funny, Sean and I have been in broadcasting a long time, and we've lived here a long time, and the one thing we always talk about recently on the podcast is how no matter what, if you want to buy your cocktail garden at Caesars, there is a line.
- 7:25Dayna Roselli: You know what you're doing, and we just think, of course, Lisa's gonna open another one.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: I shouldn't know what I'm doing.
- 7:31SPEAKER_02: It's a 30-something restaurant, but you know what?
- 7:34SPEAKER_02: It's about the people that come for the ambience, the enjoyment.
- 7:38SPEAKER_02: Of course, the food and the cocktails in Van Bamba Ferry are off the hook.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: You're really gonna see they're curated, they're crafted, they're visual, it's the visual piece for the eyes.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: And as I say, it's been a labor of love, it really has.
- 7:51Sean McAllister: And I know that you're having your grand opening tonight, but is it too early to start thinking about the next step in your Vegas Empire?
- 7:58SPEAKER_02: Right now it is, but who knows?
- 8:01Dayna Roselli: Listen, we look forward to it.
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: Thank you so much.
- 8:03SPEAKER_02: Thank you so much, Mr.
- 8:04SPEAKER_02: Fool.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: And I don't know if you could hear in the background there, but it was quite a scene outside of uh Lisa Vanderpump's new lounge there at the red carpet.
- 8:16Sean McAllister: And a lot of people were there not only to see Lisa Vanderpump, but to see the cast of her show on Bravo.
- 8:23Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: I mean, listen, my friend Christina, she's been waxing my eyebrows for like 15 years.
- 8:29Dayna Roselli: I told her I was going, and she said, Can I come?
- 8:31Dayna Roselli: She was like so excited.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: And I don't watch Vanderpump Rules, so I didn't know, but I was like, Okay, yeah, sure, if you want.
- 8:38Dayna Roselli: And she's like, oh my god, she's like a mother, and like, you know, she's like, I'm gonna put on my dress, I'm gonna I can't wait, I'll meet you there, this and that.
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: So anyway, she knew everyone.
- 8:48Dayna Roselli: She's like taking pictures with all these people, and they're so and so, and there's this person.
- 8:52Dayna Roselli: I'm like no idea who she was talking about because I don't watch the show.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: But let me tell you, I want to watch the show now because I did meet a lot of them and they were so friendly and nice, and they all really were great to my friend who was kind of like starstruck over this whole thing.
- 9:06Dayna Roselli: They were so nice.
- 9:07Sean McAllister: That's so funny.
- 9:08Sean McAllister: Well, they've gotten used to fans coming up to them because they work at Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants in uh West Hollywood.
- 9:15Sean McAllister: Right.
- 9:16Sean McAllister: So they're well, I say work.
- 9:19Sean McAllister: I don't know whether they're like on the staff all the time or whether they're on staff for the show specifically.
- 9:29Sean McAllister: But they're there a lot, without question.
- 9:32Sean McAllister: And they get a lot of fans coming in and they're great with those interactions.
- 9:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was a lot of fun and it was a great crowd there.
- 9:41Dayna Roselli: We also ran into Lance Bass.
- 9:43Dayna Roselli: He was there to support Lisa and her new restaurant and lounge.
- 9:47Dayna Roselli: Lance Bass, we're talking about from InSync, the very, very popular boy band from back in the day.
- 9:52Dayna Roselli: Bye bye bye.
- 9:54Dayna Roselli: Um, we talk about the Backstreet boys a lot.
- 9:56Dayna Roselli: We don't talk about InSync as much, so I'm glad that we were able to talk to Lance.
- 9:59Sean McAllister: Yeah, so we pulled him aside.
- 10:01Sean McAllister: We didn't say bye bye bye, but we said hi, hi, hi.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: We saw you, I think it was last weekend there was a sighting you were on.
- 10:07Dayna Roselli: I mean, it seems like you spent a lot of time here.
- 10:09Dayna Roselli: So, do you enjoy Vegas?
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: Do you have plans to move here?
- 10:13Dayna Roselli: How about a residency?
- 10:14SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh.
- 10:15SPEAKER_03: Well, uh, yeah, I love my Vegas.
- 10:17SPEAKER_03: You know, I used to live here years ago, so I really fell in love with it then.
- 10:21SPEAKER_03: Um, and I've always wanted to be able to get back here, and we actually talk about it.
- 10:25SPEAKER_03: So one day I see myself living in Vegas again.
- 10:28SPEAKER_03: Now that Debbie and Nick and everyone's moving here, I'm like, well, okay, it's now I have friends here.
- 10:33SPEAKER_03: Um but yeah, before the pandemic, we were here every three months.
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: You know, this, but we haven't been really back in a lot since the pandemic started.
- 10:42SPEAKER_03: But now that things are lifting, we'll be back a good bit.
- 10:45SPEAKER_03: That one this opening, we'll be here a lot.
- 10:48Sean McAllister: Well, I know, and y are you excited to have Lisa expanding her Vanderpump Empire here in Vegas too?
- 10:55Sean McAllister: You better believe it.
- 10:56SPEAKER_03: When she was talking about expanding it in Vegas years ago, I'm like, this is the best thing ever.
- 11:00SPEAKER_03: In fact, you should turn Vanderpump rules and start doing it here.
- 11:04SPEAKER_03: Like everyone's like, oh, we're moving to Vegas.
- 11:06SPEAKER_03: Uh so I think this city was kind of made for her.
- 11:09SPEAKER_03: You know, everyone loves opulence and luxury in this town, and you know, and she brings that in a very authentic way.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: And I mean it's great to see so many, I feel like, you know, Vegas is such a mix of things.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: Shows, entertainment venues, restaurants, and I feel like right now it seems like everyone's kind of trying to come up with their own thing in a good mix of stuff.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: Do you feel like the variety of things to do here, the variety of things that are even celebrity-owned, is kind of a cool thing?
- 11:35SPEAKER_03: It's amazing.
- 11:35SPEAKER_03: I mean, Vegas is where everyone comes for, you know, their staple restaurant, their staple club.
- 11:42SPEAKER_03: And it's just a great mix of everything.
- 11:44SPEAKER_03: I mean, if you're a fan of country music, there's gonna be something here for you.
- 11:47SPEAKER_03: If you're a rap fan, something's gonna be here for you.
- 11:49SPEAKER_03: If you love eating, definitely a place for you.
- 11:51SPEAKER_03: Um, so yeah, I mean, it's it's kind of for everyone, and I think it's just gotten better and better every single year.
- 11:58Sean McAllister: So wait a second, once you move to Las Vegas, is there are you gonna open up a Lance Bass Lounge?
- 12:03SPEAKER_03: Uh, there won't be a Lance Bass Lounge, but I'm thinking about opening my own lighting store called Lamps Bass.
- 12:09Dayna Roselli: Oh, I like that! I told you there's something for everyone, for sure.
- 12:14Dayna Roselli: Well, fill us in on what you're currently doing.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: You just you know, I know you do a lot of little things and here and there, and you've got shows and you're mixing with others, but how about you personally right now?
- 12:23Dayna Roselli: What are you up to?
- 12:24SPEAKER_03: Uh well right now, raising two twins, which has been such a blessing, and um, you know, they're six months old now, and it was incredible to be to be able to be with them every day these first six months, because usually I'd be on the road, you know, three days a week.
- 12:38SPEAKER_03: I was gone.
- 12:39SPEAKER_03: So uh it's been really nice not to be on the road during these first two months, which has been so great.
- 12:45SPEAKER_03: Uh, but yeah, a lot of TV shows coming out next year.
- 12:48SPEAKER_03: Um just sold an amazing show to a can't say the network right now, but that's gonna be my favorite one.
- 12:54SPEAKER_03: I've been trying to sell it for 20 years.
- 12:56SPEAKER_03: Um but it's great because in fact, Nick Carter is gonna be on with me.
- 12:59SPEAKER_03: So together we're gonna be entering a new phase in our life together.
- 13:03unknown: Yeah, I love it.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 13:06Dayna Roselli: All right, well, we look forward to all of that.
- 13:08Dayna Roselli: Thank you very much for joining us.
- 13:09Dayna Roselli: Thanks, Lance.
- 13:11Dayna Roselli: Love talking to Lance.
- 13:12Dayna Roselli: I haven't seen him in a long time.
- 13:14Dayna Roselli: He looks great, but he really does, doesn't he?
- 13:17Sean McAllister: Well, I feel like he's like he said, he's been, you know, focusing on fatherhood.
- 13:21Sean McAllister: He him, he and his husband have the twins.
- 13:24Sean McAllister: Um, I don't know.
- 13:25Sean McAllister: I feel like even though fatherhood can you can have your hands full, maybe he's you know, enjoying the the home life and happy and rested and healthy.
- 13:36Sean McAllister: And yeah, it was great to see Lance.
- 13:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he did look, he did look very happy.
- 13:40Dayna Roselli: So um, okay, let's move on to John Legend.
- 13:44Dayna Roselli: Because we went there to opening night of his new show over at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: It's been a couple weeks since then, but he has plenty of shows coming up, and a bunch also even into, I think he's got some in August, he's got a bunch in October, so there's plenty of time to see John Legend.
- 14:00Sean McAllister: And the show is called Love in Las Vegas.
- 14:03Sean McAllister: And if you are, you know, familiar with John Legend's music, you know that it evokes love.
- 14:11Sean McAllister: It's got that smooth swagger and that vibe that you know it gets people in the mood.
- 14:18Sean McAllister: I have no doubt that people are going straight from the Zappos theater back to their hotel rooms on the strip.
- 14:23Dayna Roselli: It's a good date night show, that's for sure.
- 14:25Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 14:26Dayna Roselli: If you're expecting to go in and the crowd to be like standing the whole time and dancing around, it wasn't that type of show.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: It wasn't like sit back, relax, enjoy the music kind of show.
- 14:36Dayna Roselli: I mean, John is super talented.
- 14:38Dayna Roselli: I was surprised.
- 14:39Dayna Roselli: I've never heard him sing live.
- 14:41Dayna Roselli: I think I heard him do like some piano stuff and sing a little at a fundraiser before, but like for a full show, I was really, I don't want to say surprised, but I l was impressed with how good his voice is.
- 14:53Sean McAllister: He's d absolutely phenomenal.
- 14:55Sean McAllister: And he's got the the backup singers, he's got a ton of dancers involved in the show, the uh scenery is beautiful.
- 15:04Sean McAllister: Um and he really does tell the story of his uh music journey, of his how he even got into music and you know the his roots in music from his childhood in the church and the influence his grandma has.
- 15:21Sean McAllister: So it's uh really a a story of like how John Legend became John Legend.
- 15:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really is.
- 15:30Dayna Roselli: And listen, I don't follow a lot of his music.
- 15:33Dayna Roselli: I know the main ones.
- 15:34Dayna Roselli: Um, I enjoy listening to him play the piano and sing.
- 15:37Dayna Roselli: He did a couple covers that I thought were amazing, and I felt a little bit more like, okay, I know this song, you know?
- 15:43Dayna Roselli: So he did Bridge Over Troubled Water, yeah, and he did which was amazing, and he did Feelin' Good, which is a very popular song that a lot of I feel like artists incorporate into their Las Vegas shows.
- 15:54Dayna Roselli: But he was great.
- 15:55Dayna Roselli: His wife, Chrissy Teagan, was there over there in the front area on the VIP.
- 15:59Sean McAllister: And she was beautiful, she was into it.
- 16:01Dayna Roselli: She was into it, and the crowd was into Chrissy.
- 16:03Sean McAllister: They were.
- 16:03Dayna Roselli: So I felt a little bad because they kept yelling, We love you, Chrissy, and I thought, oh my goodness, this is John's show.
- 16:09Dayna Roselli: And then they showed her in like like on the screen in a video when he was going to change his outfit, and people start screaming, and so I did feel like a little like, oh, this is John's show.
- 16:19Dayna Roselli: But you know, they're a power couple, and I think Sean Legend is almost known more for his celebrity and star power than he is for his specific music, his certain uh you know, songs.
- 16:34Dayna Roselli: I mean, all of me is a smash hit, right?
- 16:36Dayna Roselli: And and and it played mainstream radio for a long time.
- 16:39Dayna Roselli: Everyone knows it.
- 16:40Dayna Roselli: It's played in every, I feel like, store where I go shopping, and there's been several versions.
- 16:44Dayna Roselli: But I do think there were some a lot of songs in there if you haven't followed John Legend that you just don't know.
- 16:50Dayna Roselli: So if you want to go enjoy music, you want to learn more about John Legend and his music, then this is a great show to go to, and you'll expect some covers and you'll expect an all of me at some point.
- 17:02Sean McAllister: And he did a good job.
- 17:04Sean McAllister: And collaborations he's done with other artists he includes in the show too.
- 17:08Dayna Roselli: So I thought I wanted that to go a little longer because he kind of moved through them.
- 17:13Dayna Roselli: I was kind of a little like, oh, but you know, listen, it's his show, and I'm sure he's gonna be either loving how it goes and keep it exactly how it is, or make some tweaks along the way.
- 17:22Sean McAllister: Yeah, love in Las Vegas playing over at Zappos Theater.
- 17:27Sean McAllister: Uh something else that we did that was that we had to take a nap in the evening to rest up for it.
- 17:34Sean McAllister: We went to Brian Newman's show.
- 17:36Sean McAllister: It's a late night show over at uh the Nomad Library.
- 17:41Sean McAllister: That's inside Park MGM.
- 17:43Sean McAllister: Uh Brian Newman is Lady Gaga's uh trumpeter and band leader, and he appears with Lady Gaga in her jazz and piano show, and then after that show wraps up, he takes a little break, then pops over to the Nomad Library and does this show that starts like at 11:30 midnight and it just goes right to the wee hours of the morning.
- 18:10Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 18:10Dayna Roselli: And I didn't like know what to expect as far as like if there'd be a menu or just cocktails, but I love that there was a menu of some food that you could order.
- 18:20Dayna Roselli: I loved that the room was big enough, but small enough for this like intimate feel of like the late night Vegas hang and it's beautiful.
- 18:30Sean McAllister: That room is gorgeous, yes.
- 18:32Dayna Roselli: It you know, and that's a restaurant normally.
- 18:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was fun.
- 18:35Dayna Roselli: He came in, he had some show girls with him, which I thought was really fun.
- 18:38Dayna Roselli: Um, he had a great band with him, and you know, I was talking to some people we were with, they were like, you know, musically, this is insane.
- 18:45Dayna Roselli: And I'm terrible at that because to me, a lot of times I'm like, oh, they sound great, you know, like, you know, you had some drums and the trumpet and everything sounds wonderful, but um, you know, top-notch band with him and different was it his wife that she did a little burlesque during the show.
- 19:02Dayna Roselli: She was there, and so it was a good variety and kind of a different feel, I thought.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: I had always wanted to check it out.
- 19:08Dayna Roselli: We had never been before, and we thought, let's go.
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: Uh, we were celebrating some some birthdays, and uh, you know, I thought it was an enjoyable time.
- 19:15Dayna Roselli: I thought it was good.
- 19:16Sean McAllister: And uh Brian Newman also has a lot of fellow musicians, his friends, who he brings into the show unannounced.
- 19:24Sean McAllister: Uh while we were there that night, uh Rashawn Ross, who was the trumpet player in the Dave Matthews band, was there.
- 19:31Sean McAllister: Right.
- 19:32Sean McAllister: He came up, he did some songs, and I know from uh talking with at least a couple people who were also there in the crowd who are Dave Matthews band fans, they saw him walking in and they were like, Oh, this is going to be amazing.
- 19:46Sean McAllister: We love him, love him in the Dave Matthews band, but to see Rashawn Ross up on stage with Brian Newman was like kind of a highlight.
- 19:55Sean McAllister: It was pretty cool.
- 19:56Dayna Roselli: And I wonder if it changes because now a lot of videos I've seen on like Instagram and stuff, it kind of seemed like a rip roaring time.
- 20:03Dayna Roselli: I do feel like the night we went, it was a little bit more mellow.
- 20:06Dayna Roselli: There they were sing he was singing some slower songs, and it could be, you know, whoever he has there that night, that's the feel that you're gonna get.
- 20:14Sean McAllister: Right.
- 20:15Dayna Roselli: So, but it was, you know, it was chill, enjoyable, chill, kind of fun when she did the burlesque, and fun when he worked the room.
- 20:23Dayna Roselli: There were moments that were super fun, but I didn't feel like it was like this, you know, rip roar and everyone's standing up, people jumping on the tables kind of thing, which I feel like a lot of videos that I've seen in the past from different nights have been a little like that.
- 20:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, and I think the vibe can change from night to night, too, depending on, you know, obviously depending on you know the people who are there in the audience to see the show, depending on how you know Brian and his band are coming into the room that night to put on the show.
- 20:51Sean McAllister: So it does, it changes, but uh, Vegas doesn't really have a lot of late night entertainment, and so you know, this is a great option.
- 21:01Sean McAllister: If you're looking for something after dark, after you're you go to a late dinner, after you go to another show.
- 21:06Sean McAllister: Brian Newman over at uh the Nomad Library inside Park MGM, definitely a great option.
- 21:14Dayna Roselli: And the next day I slept in a little bit, then I went over to IU Day Club at Resorts World.
- 21:18Dayna Roselli: I wanted to check out their pool area.
- 21:20Dayna Roselli: We were invited over there, brought a friend from my building, we had a blast.
- 21:23Dayna Roselli: We went there.
- 21:24Dayna Roselli: You know, it's I liked it because it wasn't like huge.
- 21:27Dayna Roselli: Some of those pool clubs can get really big and a lot of people.
- 21:29Dayna Roselli: There was just the right amount of people there, which I really loved.
- 21:32Dayna Roselli: They brought a lot of samples of food out.
- 21:34Dayna Roselli: Their tacos were incredible.
- 21:36Dayna Roselli: I'm not gonna lie, the chicken fingers and the fries that they brought out were delicious.
- 21:39Sean McAllister: I love chicken fingers.
- 21:40Sean McAllister: I know, but I always feel good.
- 21:42Sean McAllister: I always feel like I'm five years old ordering them though.
- 21:45Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 21:46Dayna Roselli: But I love them.
- 21:46Dayna Roselli: But they brought out a big platter, and I was like, well, I didn't order them, they just happened to bring them out.
- 21:50Dayna Roselli: And then there was fruit, and anyway, we had a great time over there.
- 21:54Dayna Roselli: Um, a lot of fun.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: They had like two little pool areas, they had some areas that were up top, and they had Had some DJs, you know, in the corner that you could either hang out in that area, but the music was good, and people seemed like they were having a lot of fun.
- 22:07Dayna Roselli: So I had never been there before, but again, that's over at Resorts World.
- 22:11Sean McAllister: And then uh I was over covering the NFL draft for uh the show Vegas on, um, which Dana and I are both correspondents for.
- 22:21Sean McAllister: Part of my my job was to, with that show, was to go over and you know cover everything going on with the NFL draft.
- 22:29Sean McAllister: They had the whole strip shut down in front of the Bellagio because they had that floating stage out there.
- 22:34Sean McAllister: If you watched any of the draft coverage or really any of the national news, the NFL draft in Las Vegas was being talked about and being shown all over.
- 22:45Sean McAllister: It was quite the spectacle, and then there was a whole fan experience uh behind the link, and over by the Caesars Forum, which is their convention center, uh back behind the high roller, the big observation reel.
- 22:57Sean McAllister: It was so much fun.
- 22:59Dayna Roselli: I mean, all the different experiences I saw, like the running, like the all the different um, I don't know what you call experiences, games.
- 23:04Sean McAllister: Yeah, there's like a 40-yard dash, you could, you know, football accuracy, uh uh skill tasks, activations, uh you could kick a field goal.
- 23:19Sean McAllister: Uh there was a lot of really neat stuff.
- 23:21Sean McAllister: Uh, you know, lots of displays from you know, with memorabilia from the top stars in the NFL right now.
- 23:28Sean McAllister: Uh you could get customized shirts, customized helmets.
- 23:32Dayna Roselli: Um I mean, it was a football lover's fantasy.
- 23:35Sean McAllister: And let me tell you, the fans who came into town were uh very well behaved, number one, and number two, they were just so excited to be in Las Vegas and taking part in the draft activities.
- 23:50Dayna Roselli: And while you were there, you ran into Chris Angel, who was a huge part of the draft broadcast.
- 23:56Dayna Roselli: He did two stunts, right?
- 23:58Sean McAllister: He did.
- 23:59Sean McAllister: So on day one of the draft, he uh before the draft started, he wrote down who he thought was going to be were going to be the players who were the first three draft picks, locked his guesses in a box, hoisted it up above the anchor desk for the ESPN setup that was out there, and we were watching all this happen.
- 24:23Sean McAllister: Uh so Chris locked his predictions in there, walked away, came back on after those draft picks were made.
- 24:32Sean McAllister: And if you were following anything, it was like a crapshoot.
- 24:37Sean McAllister: Nobody really knew who the first draft picks were going to be.
- 24:42Sean McAllister: Sometimes there's like inklings, oh, this player's gonna go to this team, this team's gonna choose this player.
- 24:48Sean McAllister: There was a wild card this year, and Chris got every single one of those right.
- 24:53Dayna Roselli: Incredible.
- 24:54Dayna Roselli: I when you were telling me on the phone, but I was like, please tell me he got them right.
- 24:57Dayna Roselli: And he was like, yes, and I was like, I expect no less.
- 25:00Dayna Roselli: He gets always gets it right.
- 25:01Sean McAllister: He does, and we're waiting to interview him backstage of the ESPN setup, so I didn't get to see the broadcast of his of the his predictions being opened up and read live on national TV.
- 25:14Sean McAllister: And I said, I was like, Chris, did you get the predictions right?
- 25:17Sean McAllister: And he looked at me with a the smirk that he has.
- 25:20Sean McAllister: He was like, Of course I do.
- 25:22Sean McAllister: Of course, I love it.
- 25:23Sean McAllister: And then draft day two, he did his stunt where he's hoisted up in the air upside down in a strait jacket and gets out of that.
- 25:32Sean McAllister: So definitely adding some Vegas flair to the draft.
- 25:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I always say his illusions are like my favorite.
- 25:38Dayna Roselli: I love his big illusions that he does, and it's really cool.
- 25:41Dayna Roselli: And you know, I'm not saying the strait jacket really is an illusion, but it's that's more of a kind of a that's a feat, yeah.
- 25:48Sean McAllister: It's really cool.
- 25:49Sean McAllister: Anyway, Vegas did a great job hosting the draft.
- 25:52Sean McAllister: I know there's a lot of chatter that the draft or a major NFL event needs to be held in Las Vegas, if not every year, every other year.
- 26:03Sean McAllister: Um, just because we're so well equipped to handle that kind of thing.
- 26:07Sean McAllister: Everything went so smoothly.
- 26:09Sean McAllister: Um well done to all involved who put that on.
- 26:12Dayna Roselli: And I think Chris just posted yesterday that it was one of the most watched drafts.
- 26:16Dayna Roselli: I mean, his you know, stunt was part of that.
- 26:19Dayna Roselli: So, but he was saying the impressions were through the roof, and you know, everyone just loved having it here.
- 26:24Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 26:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 26:25Dayna Roselli: Um, something that we're gonna be doing soon on the 14th of May is we're gonna be going to RPM Italian, which is opening over at Caesars.
- 26:34Dayna Roselli: And then the following Monday, you and I have an interview scheduled with Bill and Juliana Ranc, who actually are partners in this restaurant.
- 26:44Dayna Roselli: And if you don't know who Bill is, he won the very first apprentice show.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 26:50Dayna Roselli: Uh, very successful.
- 26:52Dayna Roselli: Juliana, she's on E.
- 26:54Dayna Roselli: They both live in Chicago, I think, right?
- 26:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, they relocated to Chicago.
- 26:57Sean McAllister: Yeah, and they have a restaurant.
- 26:58Sean McAllister: Which is like Bill's, I think he that's his hometown.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 27:02Dayna Roselli: And they have restaurants there or a restaurant there.
- 27:04Dayna Roselli: And now they're bringing a version over to Caesars.
- 27:07Dayna Roselli: They're partnering with that uh company called Let Us Entertain You, I think it is.
- 27:11Dayna Roselli: There's partnership of all sorts of people.
- 27:13Dayna Roselli: Anyway, we're gonna have more details on that, but I wanted to let everyone know we are gonna be talking with Juliana and Bill, and we look forward to that interview over at Caesars Palace.
- 27:22Dayna Roselli: And then this weekend we're heading to Derby Day over at Circa, and that's gonna be fun.
- 27:27Dayna Roselli: Watch our social media for that.
- 27:29Dayna Roselli: We'll have plenty of posts.
- 27:30Dayna Roselli: We can't wait to whip out our Derby best for the Kentucky Derby.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: I've actually never watched the Kentucky Derby lot at a place.
- 27:37Dayna Roselli: I've watched it at home or like a party, but never out somewhere.
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: So I'm excited for the vibe.
- 27:42Sean McAllister: It's so much fun.
- 27:44Sean McAllister: We've watched it before in sports books.
- 27:46Sean McAllister: We go and place the the bet on the horse that we want and then stay in the sports book and watch.
- 27:51Sean McAllister: It's it's exciting.
- 27:52Sean McAllister: Like it really is the best 90 seconds in sports, for sure.
- 27:56Sean McAllister: So we're looking forward to that.
- 27:58Dayna Roselli: And I know that uh Derek over at Derek Stevens over at Circa is gonna have a great party for that, right?
- 28:03Sean McAllister: It's a he is, and his wife Nicole, I'm guaranteeing, is going to be wearing a fabulous derby hat and dress.
- 28:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we'll be over at the Legacy Club, too, by the way, uh, in Circa.
- 28:16Dayna Roselli: So make sure you have your closed-toe shoes on, Sean.
- 28:18Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 28:19Sean McAllister: I know there's directions.
- 28:20Sean McAllister: There is a strict dress code for the Legacy Club, so we'll look forward to that.
- 28:25Sean McAllister: Uh Dana, before we get to our tips, uh, I have I we didn't really talk about doing this, so it's a surprise, and I know how much you love surprises.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 28:35Sean McAllister: Um, but it's kind of a quiz for you.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: Okay, give it.
- 28:40Sean McAllister: Um so I know that we know a lot of Vegas headliners, and their names are household names across the country around the world.
- 28:50Sean McAllister: But how well do you think you know the real names of our Vegas headliners?
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: Um, I think pretty well.
- 28:57Sean McAllister: Oh, okay.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: I think.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: I think I think maybe.
- 29:00Sean McAllister: Well then let's give this a try.
- 29:02Sean McAllister: Let's ease into it.
- 29:04Sean McAllister: Uh Scott Thompson.
- 29:05Sean McAllister: I know you're gonna get this.
- 29:06Sean McAllister: Carrot Top.
- 29:07Sean McAllister: Carrot Top, yes.
- 29:08Sean McAllister: Carrot Top is Scott Thompson.
- 29:10Sean McAllister: Uh, how about David Seth Cotkin?
- 29:15Dayna Roselli: I know this.
- 29:16Dayna Roselli: Uh that is uh oh, I know this, I know this.
- 29:18Dayna Roselli: Um is it David Copperfield?
- 29:21Sean McAllister: It is!
- 29:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's what I thought.
- 29:23Dayna Roselli: It was like a magician, but I was like, duh, and then I started saying it in my head, yes.
- 29:26Sean McAllister: Yeah, so could David Copperfield's real name is David Seth Cotkin.
- 29:31Sean McAllister: Um what about Peter Jean Hernandez?
- 29:37Dayna Roselli: Don't know that one.
- 29:39Sean McAllister: That's Bruno Mars.
- 29:40Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay, got it.
- 29:42Dayna Roselli: So I wasn't thinking like headliner like that.
- 29:44Dayna Roselli: I gotta remember.
- 29:45Dayna Roselli: Because he kind of comes and goes.
- 29:46Dayna Roselli: He's a headliner now, you know what I mean?
- 29:48Dayna Roselli: Like, okay, got it.
- 29:49Dayna Roselli: Bruno Mars.
- 29:50Dayna Roselli: Interesting.
- 29:51Sean McAllister: Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner.
- 29:55Sean McAllister: Ooh, Gordon Ramsay?
- 29:57Sean McAllister: No, and it's not Gordon Ramsay.
- 29:59Dayna Roselli: He's not a headliner either.
- 30:00Dayna Roselli: He's a chef.
- 30:02Dayna Roselli: Um, say it again.
- 30:04Sean McAllister: Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner.
- 30:08Dayna Roselli: I have no idea.
- 30:10Sean McAllister: It's a one namer.
- 30:12Sean McAllister: That's your clue.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 30:13Sean McAllister: The celebrity name is just one name.
- 30:19Sean McAllister: The Coliseum.
- 30:21Sean McAllister: Sting?
- 30:22Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 30:22Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 30:23Dayna Roselli: I didn't know.
- 30:24Dayna Roselli: Well, obviously, he has another name.
- 30:25Dayna Roselli: It's not Sting.
- 30:26Dayna Roselli: I never thought of that.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: Okay, he's got a long name.
- 30:30SPEAKER_00: He really put it down to one, just one.
- 30:32Sean McAllister: Well, here's another long name.
- 30:34Sean McAllister: Stephanie Joanne Angelina Germinata.
- 30:39Dayna Roselli: I do know that.
- 30:39Dayna Roselli: That is um Lady Gaga.
- 30:42Dayna Roselli: Yep, you got that.
- 30:43Dayna Roselli: I knew that from her documentary.
- 30:44Sean McAllister: Uh, Katherine Elizabeth Hudson.
- 30:47Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 30:48Sean McAllister: That's Katy Perry.
- 30:49Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay.
- 30:50Dayna Roselli: That's interesting.
- 30:52Dayna Roselli: Never thought of that.
- 30:53Sean McAllister: Uh, what about Eileen Regina Edwards?
- 30:57Sean McAllister: Um I think country on this one.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: Is that Shania?
- 31:02Sean McAllister: That's Shania.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:04Sean McAllister: Shania is Eileen.
- 31:06Sean McAllister: Where is this coming from?
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: Where are you finding this?
- 31:08Sean McAllister: In my email.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 31:10Sean McAllister: Uh, and last one.
- 31:11Sean McAllister: Last one.
- 31:12Sean McAllister: Then we'll wrap up this little surprise quiz.
- 31:15Sean McAllister: Uh John Roger Stevens.
- 31:20Dayna Roselli: I don't know that one.
- 31:21Sean McAllister: John Legend.
- 31:22Dayna Roselli: Oh, John Legend.
- 31:23Dayna Roselli: Jesus.
- 31:24Sean McAllister: So we just went to see John Roger Stevens.
- 31:26Dayna Roselli: We did.
- 31:27Dayna Roselli: It's isn't that interesting how everyone has different names?
- 31:29Dayna Roselli: And I know you said one more thing.
- 31:31Dayna Roselli: That was a lot of fun, by the way.
- 31:32Dayna Roselli: I thought I would know more, but I was thinking local headliners.
- 31:34Dayna Roselli: I was thinking people that live here and have had shows a long time, and you threw me with the, I don't want to say they're one-offs, but the ones that have come and gone.
- 31:42Sean McAllister: Right, the rotating.
- 31:43Sean McAllister: That was so rotating headliners.
- 31:44Dayna Roselli: So local Vegas-y of me, right?
- 31:46Sean McAllister: It was.
- 31:47Sean McAllister: It was.
- 31:48Dayna Roselli: But just wanted to mention, speaking of longtime headliners in Vegas, we did hit up Frank Marino's drag brunch, divas brunch over at the Westgate.
- 31:56Dayna Roselli: He's still in Legends in concert over at the Tropicana, but he did a weekend brunch uh with some of the divas that used to be in his uh show, very longtime show on the strip.
- 32:08Dayna Roselli: So it was a lot of fun.
- 32:09Dayna Roselli: They had a Liza and a Cher and a Celine.
- 32:12Dayna Roselli: And I really enjoyed the Taylor Swift.
- 32:15Dayna Roselli: Didn't you?
- 32:16Dayna Roselli: She was really good.
- 32:17Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, yes.
- 32:19Sean McAllister: And I wasn't expecting, I've never seen a Taylor Swift impersonator.
- 32:24Sean McAllister: Me either of that before.
- 32:25Sean McAllister: Really good.
- 32:26Sean McAllister: Like a drag impersonator.
- 32:27Sean McAllister: And it was it phenomenal.
- 32:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 32:29Dayna Roselli: The food was great.
- 32:30Dayna Roselli: The room was someplace I'd never been, but this it was kind of down the hall, and I guess it was kind of a lounge normally for VIPs, but they turned it into this beautiful room.
- 32:38Dayna Roselli: Frank was funny as I'll get out.
- 32:41Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 32:41Dayna Roselli: His one-liners, and he's so quick, right?
- 32:44Dayna Roselli: And then he was taking questions and telling stories.
- 32:46Dayna Roselli: So it was an enjoyable Sunday morning.
- 32:48Dayna Roselli: We went to the 11 a.m.
- 32:49Dayna Roselli: show.
- 32:50Dayna Roselli: For now, there isn't one on the schedule to come back, but I think, you know, as Frank always does, he's always got something in the works.
- 32:56Sean McAllister: He does.
- 32:57Sean McAllister: He does.
- 32:57Sean McAllister: And I love that you can still see Frank over at the trout, too.
- 33:01Dayna Roselli: All right, let's do some tips.
- 33:06Dayna Roselli: All right, our first tip has something to do with public transportation.
- 33:10Dayna Roselli: Okay, it's not something we have a lot of here in Las Vegas.
- 33:14Dayna Roselli: We're getting better at it.
- 33:15Dayna Roselli: We for sure are.
- 33:16Dayna Roselli: But, and it the monorail has been around for a while.
- 33:20Dayna Roselli: You just don't hear about it that often, right?
- 33:22Dayna Roselli: Not a lot of people take it unless they go to a convention and they're getting to and from their hotel.
- 33:28Dayna Roselli: I feel like kind of the locals and a lot of the visitors don't use it.
- 33:33Dayna Roselli: But you used it to get to the NFL draft and it worked brilliantly.
- 33:37Sean McAllister: It was like the easiest way around that I could even imagine.
- 33:42Sean McAllister: And it didn't dawn on me until kind of at the last minute.
- 33:45Sean McAllister: I was like, oh, you know what?
- 33:47Sean McAllister: It might be easier to park at the Westgate, hop on the monorail, and just zip right down to Bally's and be right next to the entrance to the NFL draft experience.
- 33:59Sean McAllister: So that's exactly what I did.
- 34:01Sean McAllister: And they had available for the event uh a two-day pass for 20 bucks, which is what I did.
- 34:08Sean McAllister: And that's an unlimited pass, too.
- 34:11Sean McAllister: So listen, if you're coming into town and you need to get around up and down the strip, that's one of the easiest ways to do it.
- 34:18Sean McAllister: It goes all the way from MGM Grand down uh by Paris and Bally's, Flamingo, uh the Las Vegas Convention Center, uh the Westgate, and then to Sahara.
- 34:33Sean McAllister: So it really runs pretty much the length of that main resort corridor on Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 34:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the east side of the resort corridor, right?
- 34:43Dayna Roselli: So like everything on the west, you'll have to cross the road, but it still may be a quicker way to get there.
- 34:47Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 34:47Sean McAllister: It's faster than waiting in traffic, I'll tell you that.
- 34:52Sean McAllister: But after I bought my ticket, I was reading around on the monorail website while I was on the monorail, and I found out that there are one dollar tickets for Las Vegas locals.
- 35:05Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 35:05Sean McAllister: And then Dana, you reminded me, you were like, Yeah, I told you that.
- 35:08Dayna Roselli: I told you that.
- 35:09Dayna Roselli: I always say that.
- 35:10Dayna Roselli: I mean, I used to go to for New Year's Eve, a dollar fifty, you just show your Nevada ID or you can scan it or whatever.
- 35:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 35:16Dayna Roselli: And it locals get cheap prices.
- 35:18Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's and the thing is, is people think, well, where do I park to get to the monorail?
- 35:24Dayna Roselli: But even you were thinking of the convention center, and I was like, took a picture across the street from you, and I said, This empty lot at Westgate, where I think a lot of like, I don't know, trucks and RVs kind of park is very open, and you can park or you can park in the garage or whatever, and there's a monorail station right there.
- 35:40Sean McAllister: There is, it couldn't have been easier.
- 35:42Sean McAllister: And I think a lot of times the convention center has, especially for big events, they have uh lots reserved for monorail riders.
- 35:53Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 35:53Sean McAllister: Um, so that you don't have to pay.
- 35:55Dayna Roselli: Um and I think somebody told me for the draft they did have free parking at the convention center.
- 36:02Dayna Roselli: They made it available, yeah.
- 36:03Sean McAllister: They did.
- 36:03Sean McAllister: Yeah, but it could not have been easier.
- 36:06Sean McAllister: You get great views of the strip, you get an up-close view of the sphere that's being built right behind the Venetian.
- 36:14Sean McAllister: You go right next to that, which is gonna make that a super convenient way to uh get around once events start being held there.
- 36:23Sean McAllister: But I can't say enough great things about the monorail.
- 36:26Sean McAllister: It was quick, easy, convenient, affordable.
- 36:30Sean McAllister: It's a lot less than you would pay for even one Uber ride.
- 36:34Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 36:34Sean McAllister: A ticket on the monorail, and it's you can get unlimited rides for the cost uh of less than one Uber ride.
- 36:42Dayna Roselli: Oh, true.
- 36:42Dayna Roselli: And I think um something that we might use more often, right?
- 36:47Dayna Roselli: We have a lot of things over there.
- 36:48Dayna Roselli: And you think about you know the walking.
- 36:50Dayna Roselli: Some people are like, well, you have to walk, you do have to walk a little way once you enter the hotel.
- 36:54Dayna Roselli: But I mean the thing is is if you're gonna be walking around regardless, you're not adding that much more walking to the trip.
- 37:00Dayna Roselli: You're just coming in from a different angle.
- 37:02Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 37:03Sean McAllister: So, like, yeah, you're gonna be walking if you're down on the strip anyway, even if you park in a parking garage, it's a it's a walk to get to anywhere inside of a resort.
- 37:13Sean McAllister: So don't consider the walking, but do consider the fact that a lot of places you have to pay to park now.
- 37:20Sean McAllister: True.
- 37:21Sean McAllister: And a monorail ticket is a lot of times less than what it would cost to park on the strip.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: So Right?
- 37:29Sean McAllister: Way less food for thought.
- 37:31Sean McAllister: Yeah, food for thought and one thing.
- 37:33Dayna Roselli: True.
- 37:33Dayna Roselli: And one other point, I don't know if it was with you, we were talking about the monorail, and somebody said, Oh, I might take my kids on that.
- 37:39Dayna Roselli: They might actually, they love like, you know, that kind of thing.
- 37:42Dayna Roselli: And I was like, Yeah, it is very fun, you know, Disneylandish, and you get to see some cool things.
- 37:47Dayna Roselli: They'll go near the flamingo pool and see, you know, and then you get behind the things and it's fun to look at.
- 37:52Dayna Roselli: So it could be a little family trip, too, a little family ride.
- 37:54Sean McAllister: Yeah, and the announcement when they when it pulls up to the different uh monorail stops, like it gives you little bits of uh history and like it tells you, okay, we're pulling up to Flamingo Station.
- 38:06Sean McAllister: This is the closest station if you are going to Caesar's Palace or whatever.
- 38:11Sean McAllister: So it gives you little bits of information as you're you're on there too to help you navigate the strip after your monorail ride.
- 38:18Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 38:19Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 38:20Dayna Roselli: Good, good tip.
- 38:21Dayna Roselli: Um, another tip that we had was a new show that's opened at the Stratosphere.
- 38:25Dayna Roselli: Now, Sean and I are going, it's actually the strat.
- 38:27Dayna Roselli: Sorry.
- 38:28Dayna Roselli: It's not the stratosphere anymore.
- 38:29Dayna Roselli: They'll come over and slap my hand.
- 38:32Dayna Roselli: The strat.
- 38:33Dayna Roselli: Uh, and it's at the strat.
- 38:34Dayna Roselli: You and I are going to one of the grand opening nights, but um, just want to let people know because I feel like people often ask, like, what are the shows that I can't get anywhere else that's, you know, maybe a little risque, but fun and different.
- 38:46Dayna Roselli: And I think this could be something for that group of people that are looking for that.
- 38:50Dayna Roselli: It's called Rouge.
- 38:52Dayna Roselli: You and I were talking to our friend that is the publicist for the show, and he was saying there's a kind of a little something for everyone in the show, but it's very steamy and sultry and and a little bit like Zoomanity that was one of Cirque shows that was at New York, New York for a very long time.
- 39:07Sean McAllister: Right.
- 39:08Sean McAllister: Because in that show, there was, you know, it was a very sensual show.
- 39:11Sean McAllister: There were girls dancing with girls, girls and guys, guys and guys, and that's what Rouge has.
- 39:18Sean McAllister: They have a cast of not just sexy females, there's sexy guys in there too, and everybody's, you know, being all sexy together.
- 39:27Sean McAllister: Oh, sexy together, acrobatics, and you know, a lot of cool stuff that they form this show around.
- 39:35Sean McAllister: So I'm excited to see it.
- 39:36Sean McAllister: I think it'll be a good addition over at the Strat.
- 39:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it is open now over at the Strat.
- 39:42Dayna Roselli: So look it up.
- 39:43Dayna Roselli: Rouge is the name of the show, and we'll keep you posted on what we think after we go see it.
- 39:48Dayna Roselli: Also, a quick little tip Lady Gaga has a new single out, and it's in the new Top Gun Maverick movie.
- 39:55Dayna Roselli: Did you know that, Sean?
- 39:57Sean McAllister: I didn't until you told me.
- 39:58Dayna Roselli: I'm really excited about this.
- 40:00Dayna Roselli: The single actually already came out.
- 40:02Dayna Roselli: Top Gun Maverick comes out May 27th, but the little Vegas hook, FYI, is that Tom Cruise just went to Lady Gaga's jazz and piano show at Park MGM.
- 40:12Dayna Roselli: She posted some pictures of him backstage with her, said thank you to my friend Tom Cruise for coming.
- 40:16Dayna Roselli: And so I thought that was kind of cool.
- 40:18Dayna Roselli: I love that they're kind of embracing each other, you know?
- 40:20Sean McAllister: And Dana said, Are you freaking kidding me?
- 40:23Sean McAllister: Tom Cruise is on the strip and I'm not there in the room.
- 40:27Sean McAllister: Are you kidding?
- 40:28Sean McAllister: So upset.
- 40:29Sean McAllister: I can't believe no one gave you a heads up.
- 40:31Dayna Roselli: I can't even believe nobody called me, but I'm sure he wasn't like What's Roselli up to?
- 40:37Dayna Roselli: That.
- 40:37Dayna Roselli: And I'm sure he wasn't like visibly like just plopped in the middle of the theater either.
- 40:41Dayna Roselli: I'm sure he had his own section and some security.
- 40:44Dayna Roselli: But somebody did comment under the picture.
- 40:47Dayna Roselli: Um, and I forget who it was.
- 40:48Dayna Roselli: It was someone to do with the staff or record producer, and like he had a great time too.
- 40:52Dayna Roselli: He loved the show.
- 40:52Dayna Roselli: So I don't know if they were sitting near him, talk to him backstage, but apparently he really, really enjoyed it.
- 40:57Sean McAllister: It is a great show.
- 40:58Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 40:58Dayna Roselli: Tom is so supportive.
