- 0:00Speaker 1: No much more.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Mark, Mark Simon now nine till noon weekdays on sevent ten.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Wo r Well, I'll take some calls. Eight hundred three
- 0:14Speaker 1: two one zero seven ten is the number. Let's go
- 0:17Speaker 1: to Pam in New Jersey. Pam, how you doing.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Good morning. You mentioned bridget Bard though, and she just
- 0:23Speaker 3: died recently, and I was so proud of her. She
- 0:27Speaker 3: was one of the first people in the world to
- 0:29Speaker 3: be canceled. She was telling France that France was losing
- 0:34Speaker 3: its French culture and they canceled her. Oh a big
- 0:39Speaker 3: star like that that made French cinema, you know, with
- 0:43Speaker 3: a woman factor. And she was just set aside and disregarded,
- 0:48Speaker 3: but she was right.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Yeah, well she was a big star in the sixties.
- 0:52Speaker 1: When was she canceled?
- 0:55Speaker 3: Well, she started talking out in the seventies and eighty, yeah,
- 0:58Speaker 3: and that it didn't stop. I'm doing a big animal activist.
- 1:02Speaker 3: She was very you know, good for her, for her.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Good for her. But you know, in the eighties, wouldn't
- 1:07Speaker 1: be that hard to cancel her. She wasn't exactly doing much,
- 1:09Speaker 1: but huge star in the nineteen sixties. Let's go to
- 1:13Speaker 1: Richard and Bay Shore. Richard, how you doing, Hey, Mark.
- 1:16Speaker 4: You know, you reminded me of the time I was
- 1:18Speaker 4: actually trapped in the R train station back in I
- 1:22Speaker 4: guess it was the eighties. At that time they started
- 1:24Speaker 4: to close off a lot of the secondary you know,
- 1:26Speaker 4: the Rearin stations. Yeah, for crime. So I went to
- 1:31Speaker 4: h It was at Big Ridge Park where you and
- 1:33Speaker 4: I stayed at the end of the train to get off.
- 1:35Speaker 4: And I walked through the florter of ceiling the big
- 1:37Speaker 4: iron exit there and then, my god, they had built
- 1:41Speaker 4: a door, a wooden frame with the chicken wire and
- 1:47Speaker 4: a lock with a half in the wall.
- 1:49Speaker 1: And it's quite a story. This is not exactly the odyssey,
- 1:55Speaker 1: this story, I mean, could you speed it up a little?
- 1:57Speaker 4: But you know what, I waited, and I waited, I
- 1:59Speaker 4: couldn't get out.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Fascinating.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Finally, I was twenty five or so, I ripped the
- 2:04Speaker 4: lock out of the wall and I escaped. And that's
- 2:08Speaker 4: my that's my story.
- 2:09Speaker 1: That's a hell of a story. In fact, we have
- 2:11Speaker 1: several movie producers calling us on the other line. They'd
- 2:13Speaker 1: like to buy the rights to that story. They think
- 2:15Speaker 1: it'd be a hell of a film. But anyway, thanks
- 2:17Speaker 1: for calling. Let's go to Joe and Elmwood Park, Joe, how.
- 2:21Speaker 5: You doing, good morning?
- 2:22Speaker 6: Mark? Three things, It's about affordability. Illegals, illegals, illegals. Get
- 2:27Speaker 6: them off the doll get them off the sold security,
- 2:29Speaker 6: get them off and get them out of here.
- 2:33Speaker 1: That's one thing. I thought you said three things.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Oh well, well get them off the Social Security and
- 2:39Speaker 6: the Medicare, and.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I break with you. It's still one thing. You claimed
- 2:43Speaker 1: you had three things. This is one thing. Okay, that's okay,
- 2:46Speaker 1: we'll forgive you. So hey, we'll get back to that later.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I was referring to what I was talking about, the
- 2:51Speaker 1: affordability crisis. Apparently it's all about taxes.
- 2:55Speaker 5: According to the.
- 2:56Speaker 1: US Bureau Labor Beuer, we pay more in taxes. Everybody
- 3:00Speaker 1: is paying more in taxes than they do for food, clothing,
- 3:04Speaker 1: and shelter. So when you talk about inflation affordability, you're
- 3:07Speaker 1: talking about taxes. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 3:11Speaker 1: how you doing, good morning market?
- 3:13Speaker 7: Yes, Mike, But guys like John Stewart don't seem to
- 3:17Speaker 7: understand about these so called Palestinians or Gazans, is that
- 3:21Speaker 7: once upon a time they were referred to as Bedouins
- 3:24Speaker 7: and the rest of the Arab world doesn't want them.
- 3:26Speaker 7: The Arab brawl comprises you know, you know, ninety million
- 3:31Speaker 7: acres of land or whatever it is, you know, a
- 3:34Speaker 7: massive amount of land, and they don't want these people.
- 3:37Speaker 7: They put them there. They installed them where they are
- 3:39Speaker 7: in Gaza after Arafat, who was an Egyptian by the way,
- 3:43Speaker 7: not a Palestinian, insisted that they be there as a
- 3:47Speaker 7: political foreign in the side of the Israelis, and the
- 3:50Speaker 7: rest of the Arab bull said, yeah, great, we don't
- 3:52Speaker 7: have to get our hands dirty. We'll put these lunkheads there.
- 3:55Speaker 7: Every once in a while they'll act up, they'll they'll
- 3:57Speaker 7: create a stir Israel where we react, we can condemn Israel,
- 4:01Speaker 7: you know, and it goes on and on. It's been
- 4:02Speaker 7: going on for seventy years.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good point. It's only Israel has ever
- 4:06Speaker 1: really done anything for them, and every time they try
- 4:09Speaker 1: that two state solution. We just tried it, and look
- 4:11Speaker 1: what happened. It ends with Hamas committing a holocaust and
- 4:15Speaker 1: going crazy.
- 4:16Speaker 7: But exactly, and they're the only people on the planet
- 4:19Speaker 7: who aren't allowed to defend themselves, I mean, and it's
- 4:22Speaker 7: ironic that all these liberals hate them because they're probably
- 4:25Speaker 7: one of the most liberal countries in the world as
- 4:27Speaker 7: far as all the social programs that they love they have.
- 4:30Speaker 7: They have the biggest gay pride parade they have. You know,
- 4:33Speaker 7: it's based the socialism. The Kabutcher is a socialist paradise. Yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 7: you know, so it's ironic that they hate them so much.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Very good point, Mike, thanks for calling. Let's go to
- 4:42Speaker 1: Hall and Freeport. Hell, how are you doing?
- 4:44Speaker 2: Hey, how are you? Are you aware that a dime
- 4:51Speaker 2: and a quarter has rigids on the side and a
- 4:54Speaker 2: nickel and a penny is flat?
- 4:55Speaker 5: You know why?
- 4:57Speaker 1: Well, I never sat up a night thinking about it.
- 5:00Speaker 1: But let me reach in my pocket and get a quarter. Oh,
- 5:04Speaker 1: you're right, it does have ridges. Well, I'm sure the
- 5:07Speaker 1: whole world's waiting for this answer.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Why that was designed When people came back from the
- 5:12Speaker 2: war and they were impaired or blind or whatever, they
- 5:16Speaker 2: used to work in the train stations at the candy store.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Oh, so they could tell what it was.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so somebody would hand him a nickel and say,
- 5:23Speaker 2: here's a quarter, I need this that here and again
- 5:26Speaker 2: and the blind gentleman.
- 5:27Speaker 1: So wouldn't they noticed the size. Couldn't they tell by
- 5:29Speaker 1: the size it is?
- 5:30Speaker 2: No, you can't tell. You tell me the siage puts
- 5:33Speaker 2: coins in your hand, you can't tell the side it's
- 5:36Speaker 2: the riches.
- 5:37Speaker 1: All right, good, good point. I think let's go to
- 5:40Speaker 1: Vincent and Brooklyn.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Vincent, how you doing, Good morning, Mark Market. As you
- 5:45Speaker 5: pointed out, the taxes are the Montezuma's revenge of all
- 5:50Speaker 5: the bad government that we have. Unfortunately, that's what fuels
- 5:54Speaker 5: all the freebies. Mark on a Buck and Clay show
- 5:58Speaker 5: yesterday they had one day, asked Alex Berenson, and he
- 6:01Speaker 5: broke down the election to Michigan. It was basically the
- 6:05Speaker 5: college towns and dear Bornistan that gave Elsied the thirteen
- 6:11Speaker 5: thousand volts, which was less than one percent to put
- 6:15Speaker 5: him over the top. As you pointed out, he's going
- 6:19Speaker 5: to get creamed in the midterm election because, as you said,
- 6:24Speaker 5: the people out there are really Midwestern is, they're not
- 6:28Speaker 5: Middle Eastern IS. And well some of the state is,
- 6:32Speaker 5: and it's going to be a washout.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Now, you're right, Vincic Trump, great point. You're absolutely right.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And it looks like this is what Republicans wanted. They
- 6:42Speaker 1: wanted crazy alsaid to get the nomination, not the more
- 6:45Speaker 1: moderate Democrats. So this will probably work out well, but
- 6:48Speaker 1: we'll get back to that. And oh, when we come
- 6:50Speaker 1: back the hunt for Steve Moore. We'll see if we
- 6:53Speaker 1: can find Steve Moore and a lot of questions to
- 6:56Speaker 1: ask him coming up next on seven to ten. Wo
- 7:00Speaker 1: Well I
