- 0:44Speaker 1: All right, so I'm gonna let you know I am
- 0:46Speaker 1: I'm fifty years old now, But when this happened, I
- 0:49Speaker 1: was about twenty six, twenty seven years old.
- 0:51Speaker 2: All right.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I was dating a man. He's always going to work,
- 0:55Speaker 1: and he just the work schedule just seems so odd.
- 0:59Speaker 1: And something in Lee told me something's not right. So
- 1:02Speaker 1: I got my girls together and I was like I need.
- 1:05Speaker 1: I need to figure this out. Who's down? All my
- 1:07Speaker 1: girls were down, but I kept missing work, so I
- 1:10Speaker 1: was like, you know what, I just quit my job.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I was like, you know, I'm gonna quit my job.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I need to figure this out.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Okay, So I quit my job.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Me and my girls are just trying to stalk this guy,
- 1:19Speaker 1: trying to figure out where is he going. And we
- 1:21Speaker 1: figured it out. We found him. We're all already black.
- 1:24Speaker 1: We just think that we're like the coolest people in
- 1:27Speaker 1: the world and we're wearing black. We found him. He
- 1:29Speaker 1: kept going to this one apartment, but we couldn't figure out,
- 1:31Speaker 1: like what apartments are going into? Why was he going
- 1:33Speaker 1: into this apartment? So I decide that I'm going to
- 1:38Speaker 1: get out of the apartment on my car to the
- 1:39Speaker 1: apartment area and I just start pulling the electrical meters
- 1:43Speaker 1: out of the apartment complex. I didn't know which one.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I didn't know which apartment when he was going into,
- 1:49Speaker 1: and I figured, let me just turn off all these
- 1:52Speaker 1: lights and come out. I'll figure out which the apartment
- 1:55Speaker 1: he's out. I had so many meters. I feel bad
- 1:58Speaker 1: because you know, the people who were involved, like people
- 2:01Speaker 1: living their lives in their apartments.
- 2:02Speaker 3: The lights are going down and all they're coming outside
- 2:06Speaker 3: going what's happened?
- 2:07Speaker 2: So you're, okay, this is insane. I love it.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I'm walking down with all these meters. I put him
- 2:13Speaker 1: in the back trunk of my car. My girls are laughing.
- 2:15Speaker 1: We're we think it's funny at the time. Mind you,
- 2:18Speaker 1: you know we're in our swimmings. We think it's funny. Right,
- 2:20Speaker 1: So he comes out him, he comes out and we
- 2:22Speaker 1: see him holding hands with the girl. Oh my god.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I was like anxiety through the roof. So I figure
- 2:27Speaker 1: out what apartment this girl is in. Next thing, you know,
- 2:31Speaker 1: I'm getting dressed. I'm figuring things out, and I start
- 2:34Speaker 1: pretending like I am selling things door to door. I
- 2:38Speaker 1: like waited out and I wait till like he's somewhere else.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I go knock on this girl's door and we start talking.
- 2:44Speaker 1: And she was so sweet too. She was a sweet person.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I'm being real sweet. I eventually get her to invite
- 2:49Speaker 1: me into her home. I was pretending like something was wrong,
- 2:53Speaker 1: and then I tell her, oh, I'm pregnant and my
- 2:57Speaker 1: husband's just being this and that, and I say his name.
- 3:00Speaker 1: You could see her reaction, right, and it's like once
- 3:02Speaker 1: I saw her reaction, like I kind of stayed there
- 3:05Speaker 1: for me. Take one minute, They're sold talking, got what
- 3:08Speaker 1: I needed done, and I walked out. I broke up
- 3:10Speaker 1: with him. I'd later find out she broke up with him.
- 3:14Speaker 1: And you know, he was using me for like money
- 3:16Speaker 1: in a place. He was using her for money in
- 3:18Speaker 1: a place. That is part of it all is that
- 3:21Speaker 1: I kept those meters in my car for almost a year.
- 3:26Speaker 1: My kid is like, my kids look at the car, like,
- 3:30Speaker 1: my mom, what's up with these meters? Mom? Why do
- 3:33Speaker 1: you have?
- 3:33Speaker 2: What is this? What did you do?
- 3:35Speaker 3: Why did you pretend that you were selling door to
- 3:37Speaker 3: door to get her to open.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I'm just honestly, I was telling her that I was
- 3:41Speaker 1: selling things for children. I had like little kids, bracelets,
- 3:45Speaker 1: like little things. I was telling her that, like not
- 3:49Speaker 1: that I was homeless, but I was like, I'm just
- 3:51Speaker 1: selling things thought of just trying to make, you know,
- 3:53Speaker 1: money for food and I don't have a job right now.
- 3:56Speaker 1: She was so sweet. Now the care's a crazy. This
- 4:00Speaker 1: part I didn't share that I actually know her today,
- 4:03Speaker 1: like she knows today what I had done, Like she
- 4:07Speaker 1: knows like today that I went through that many steaks
- 4:11Speaker 1: just to figure out what this guy was doing. And
- 4:14Speaker 1: I'm shaky. I'm so nervous.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I no, don't be nervous. So I think No, I
- 4:17Speaker 3: think it's incredible. I mean, I think you're psycho, but
- 4:20Speaker 3: I love it.
- 4:20Speaker 2: No.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I married now. I tell my husband today, if you
- 4:24Speaker 1: knew me back then, oh my god, you would have
- 4:27Speaker 1: never dated me. And it's funny. Have you ever like
- 4:29Speaker 1: dated someone and then you're you're all obsessed or whatever,
- 4:32Speaker 1: and I think you're in love and then you look
- 4:34Speaker 1: back at your like, what was wrong with? Oh?
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah, a hundred million percent? Yeah. Isn't it funny how
- 4:41Speaker 2: you think back in.
- 4:42Speaker 3: The day, like, how would I how did I ever
- 4:43Speaker 3: act that way? Yes?
- 4:46Speaker 1: Oh my god? If my grandkids did I say it?
- 4:49Speaker 1: My grandkids ever found out Grandma was like does it?
- 4:51Speaker 3: Oh my god, Grandma was toxic. I don't think you're
- 4:57Speaker 3: crazy at all. I think you're I think it's brilliant.
- 4:59Speaker 3: I think a lot of people do stuff like this
- 5:01Speaker 3: to figure out. Even in today's world, they do extreme
- 5:05Speaker 3: things to figure out so much cheating on them.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I think it's normal to do. I know people who
- 5:09Speaker 2: have done way worse than what you did.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I take my life if you're gonna find out that, Yeah,
- 5:14Speaker 1: I'd be happy in the dark for you to find
- 5:17Speaker 1: out if your man's absolutely There's the funniest part after
- 5:21Speaker 1: that happened, people who knew me, they were like, Hey,
- 5:24Speaker 1: there's something wrong with my life, but can you look
- 5:26Speaker 1: at it.
