  Speaker 1: radio show. Didn't see it coming, but he did. I'm

  Speaker 1: gonna share with you today a principle of success. You know.

  Speaker 1: It's it's important that we get our lives together. I

  Speaker 1: mean it really really is. You know, to hereafter is

  Speaker 1: exactly what it says is to hereafter And hopefully for

  Speaker 1: the majority of us, that's quite a way he's off.

  Speaker 1: So what about how you living today? How about now?

  Speaker 1: You know, often talk to talk in the morning about

  Speaker 1: your relationship with God that can never change. That is

  Speaker 1: at the forefront and the best thought process that I

  Speaker 1: can give you. And I know who I'm talking to

  Speaker 1: on the radio. I'm talking to a lot of people, man,

  Speaker 1: who out there just not sure. And I'm talking to

  Speaker 1: a lot of people out there man that's trying to

  Speaker 1: pull it together. In other words, you know, I'm talking

  Speaker 1: to a lot of people like myself. There is a

  Speaker 1: principle of success that is out there that if more

  Speaker 1: people understood one of the base this is just one
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: of one of the basic principles of success, you would
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: have more success in your life. And that principle is this,

  Speaker 1: the more people you help become successful, the more successful
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: you become. Well, the more people you help become successful,

  Speaker 1: the more successful you become. Because you are practicing helping

  Speaker 1: you and as you do unto others, then it's done

  Speaker 1: unto you. You know, you build relationships. When you do that,

  Speaker 1: people forget and success that has to be relationships. There

  Speaker 1: is no one person in this world who is just

  Speaker 1: successful all on their own. You are successful, and successful

  Speaker 1: people form relationships, and you've got to really coddle these relationships.

  Speaker 1: You've got to nurture these relationships. They don't just happen.

  Speaker 1: You don't just get cool with people just cause you cool. No,

  Speaker 1: you've got to do some cool things to these people
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: and for these people, for these people to be cool

  Speaker 1: with you when you need some cool. I don't know

  Speaker 1: if I'm explaining that right, but that's the best way

  Speaker 1: I can tell it to you. I'm just regular, you know,

  Speaker 1: I just speak like that. This is an important principle
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: to put into your life. The more people you help
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: become successful, the more how successful you become. You can look.

  Speaker 1: You have to say to people, hey, look, I've done that.

  Speaker 1: This is what you got to do. You got to

  Speaker 1: take some time out to share. You have to share information, experiences, thoughts.

  Speaker 1: You got to take a minute man to uplift somebody,

  Speaker 1: give them some encouragement. Hey, man, you can do it.

  Speaker 1: Don't give up. You have no idea you you you

  Speaker 1: right now. You have no idea how significant you are

  Speaker 1: to someone else. How your words of encouragement could be
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: the difference maker today I'm talking about it's a person

  Speaker 1: looking at you that you don't even really know you,

  Speaker 1: or you don't really know them, and you see them
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: struggling with something. Just say, hey, you know what, I've

  Speaker 1: been watching you from afar. You gonna be all right, man,

  Speaker 1: I see some menu. Keep doing the right thing, man,

  Speaker 1: You're gonna be alright. I had a meeting with a
• 3:56
  Speaker 1: young man for the first time, and this young man
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: came into my office. I never met him. He has

  Speaker 1: an internet service which anybody can teach me something about
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: the internet, because I know little too close to nothing.

  Speaker 1: He was twenty seven years old, and he was amazingly
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: bright at this, and I guess, you know, that's not
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: that hard to impress me. But the fluid speech pattern
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: that he had about this very very difficult subject. He
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: was tossing around the terms I had heard, but he
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: was actually putting him in sentences word. It made since
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: to me. It's very fluid, very sure of himself. When
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: he was talking about this little thing, A young dude,
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: twenty seven years old. And when he got through, the
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: woman that had introduced me to him, I was leaving
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: my office and she was going to escort him out,
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: and I turned around and I said, young man, I said,
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: what size pants are you? And I guessed it because
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: I've been dressing for I've been all them sizes. And
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: I said, you're about a thirty ways. He said, yes, sir.
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: I said what side shoe you waisted nine and a half?
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: I said what side shirt is at a medium? He said,
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: I really like extra large. I said, well that's too
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: big for you. You just want to look blousy and baggy.
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: And so I was talking to him. Man, I said, man,
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: I'm gonna help you out. I said, man, because let
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: me tell you something. You a sharp young dude. Man,
• 5:25
  Speaker 1: you are raisor sharp. I said, you've really really impressed
• 5:29
  Speaker 1: me today. I said. And you know what, young brother,
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: I said, You're gonna make a lot of money one day. Man,
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: I said, but I want you to get your image up.

  Speaker 1: I want you to. I want you to look at
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: how you dress because you're coming into professional people's office
• 5:43
  Speaker 1: and you're talking about doing something for them, and it
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: takes money to make it happen. I got to give
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: you money to make this happen. What you cannot afford
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: to do is look like you need every dime of
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: this money. See you get when you go in there
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: and you talking about money with another person. The person

  Speaker 1: that's gonna give you this money cannot You can't look
• 6:02
  Speaker 1: like you need every dime of this money, you know,
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: So you gotta start presenting yourself. And that's all I
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: just said to him. I just said, man, but you
• 6:10
  Speaker 1: know what you shop, you gonna make yourself some money.

  Speaker 1: I'm gonna help you out a little bit. I walked out.
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: I went on bout my business. Later on that afternoon,
• 6:18
  Speaker 1: I had a meeting with the woman that bought him
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: in and she said, mister Harvey, you have no idea
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: what you just did. He said, his eyes just teared
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: up when you walked out. He said, Wow, man, that
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: man don't even know me, and he just encouraged me.
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: He said, man, I always thought I might could make it,
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: but he said, I ain't. Never had nobody like him
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: tell me I could make it. And just hearing it
• 6:40
  Speaker 1: from him, man, that's all right. I'm gonna get my
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: clothes together. But you know, I've been homeless. And then
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: he started telling the woman that he had been homeless,
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: and so you know, then she telling me that now
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: I'm fit to cry because you know, I've been in
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: that hole before, and I just and I'm just sharing
• 6:57
  Speaker 1: that story with y'all just to say you do. I

  Speaker 1: don't know who you talking to, but what does it
• 7:03
  Speaker 1: hurt if you just extend your hand to a person
• 7:07
  Speaker 1: and give them a moment of encouragement. See this young
• 7:10
  Speaker 1: brother right here, he could come back one day and
• 7:14
  Speaker 1: be a major benefit to me because he has a
• 7:17
  Speaker 1: skill set that I don't have. Oh. I might be old,
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: mister Steve Harvey, but hey, guess what I don't know
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: nothing about what this young cat know, and he done
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: went off and educated himself. And just a word of
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: encouragement from somebody like yourself can make all the difference
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: in another person's life. So remember on your way to
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: the top. The more people that you help become successful,
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: the more successful you become. It's a requirement of God
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: that you do that. That ain't Steve Harvey talking. If
