- 0:47Speaker 1: be listening to the Sports Shot Show. I'm the Sports
- 0:50Speaker 1: Shock Wayne Gante, and happy a New Year to you.
- 0:55Speaker 1: It is twenty twenty five. We are on the second
- 0:58Speaker 1: day of the new year, and I hope you at
- 1:04Speaker 1: least made it through day one of all your resolutions.
- 1:08Speaker 1: And I meet so many people that just be lying
- 1:10Speaker 1: to me nowadays, talking about they don't do resolutions. They
- 1:14Speaker 1: be lying. They want to act like they woke. Y'all
- 1:20Speaker 1: still be making resolutions. You just don't like to say
- 1:25Speaker 1: because then people hold you accountable to them about oh yeah,
- 1:29Speaker 1: this year I'm gonna do lying, and then that lets
- 1:34Speaker 1: your friend know to watch out for that. Oh no,
- 1:37Speaker 1: this year I'm gonna do less drinking. Then your friend,
- 1:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna lose some weight. So we learned that people
- 1:45Speaker 1: are hearing us, making a mental note of what you
- 1:50Speaker 1: said you were gonna do that, and then two minutes
- 1:53Speaker 1: later you go to line and they know you're lying,
- 1:58Speaker 1: so you already done broke that one. Two days later
- 2:02Speaker 1: at the red light, they look over, you're sitting in
- 2:04Speaker 1: the Arby's. Well, obviously that wasn't your plan. They don't
- 2:07Speaker 1: have any diet food at Arby's. Got a good roast
- 2:12Speaker 1: beef and cheddar, but they don't have any Uh, they
- 2:15Speaker 1: don't have any No, that's not.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Diet tauchy uh and uh, you know you pull.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Up on them unexpectedly and they're outside smoking a cigarette
- 2:35Speaker 1: because they didn't know you were showing up, or a
- 2:37Speaker 1: cigar or whatever you you tend to smoke. In this
- 2:41Speaker 1: country now, people seem to will roll up anything if
- 2:44Speaker 1: it will stay flammable. But you'd be making resolution. I
- 2:49Speaker 1: just wanted to say that because I know a lot
- 2:50Speaker 1: of people. Everybody you ask now, when it just becomes
- 2:53Speaker 1: oh no, it's one thing. If it's back and forth,
- 2:57Speaker 1: you as one person, they were like, oh yeah, I
- 2:59Speaker 1: said this and that. But when you talk to twenty
- 3:02Speaker 1: people in nineteen of the twenty say no, they don't
- 3:05Speaker 1: do it. That means lying. That's the new lie, the
- 3:10Speaker 1: the new life, the new lie. So uh, but good morning.
- 3:13Speaker 1: We are glad to be here with you. I got
- 3:15Speaker 1: my partners uh in the studio with me. I was
- 3:18Speaker 1: gonna say partners in crime. But let's not start twenty
- 3:21Speaker 1: twenty five off. Oh it already had too late. Dang boy,
- 3:28Speaker 1: it ain't even thirty six hours in two of the
- 3:30Speaker 1: actually three, y'all all went crazy out there. I mean,
- 3:33Speaker 1: but let's let's see if we can find some How
- 3:35Speaker 1: about we just start with something like were your resolutions
- 3:38Speaker 1: sports jock? What was your New Year's resolution?
- 3:41Speaker 3: To call people out about their resolution? About their resolution?
- 3:44Speaker 7: See, people always think it's got to be something physical
- 3:47Speaker 7: they got. They think it's got to be you know,
- 3:49Speaker 7: I got to stop smoking or.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Say, and to finally ask people. Uh, and you guys
- 3:55Speaker 1: are old enough and lived enough life finally ask people
- 3:59Speaker 1: something that always crosses my mind.
- 4:01Speaker 8: And I.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I never thought about it to ask anyone, But here's
- 4:10Speaker 1: a chance. Okay, do you pray over your leftovers?
- 4:18Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 4:20Speaker 1: That's kind of like doubling down.
- 4:22Speaker 7: I'm just wondering. I never thought of it until at
- 4:25Speaker 7: the restaurant. Yeah, we we gathered as the family. I'm saying,
- 4:31Speaker 7: we gathered as a family, stood around the table and
- 4:34Speaker 7: prayed over the field. Then we put it in the refrigerator. Yeah, everybody, uncle,
- 4:40Speaker 7: especially on Thanksgiving, Yeah, Christmas, Well you do you do
- 4:44Speaker 7: the Honod's And he give a mighty prayer. Yes, Lord,
- 4:47Speaker 7: And we come on that rapping and did we put
- 4:50Speaker 7: in refrigerator and then about six hours later we pull
- 4:53Speaker 7: it out, heat it and be right there again.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Lord, Yes, and he probably thinking and got that food ready. Yeah,
- 5:00Speaker 1: I was.
- 5:01Speaker 7: I was one never thought of that sports job. You
- 5:03Speaker 7: pray everything, and I've never thought of that. I'm mercy
- 5:07Speaker 7: look at twenty twenty.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Because I've been doing it for a while and I'm thinking,
- 5:11Speaker 1: but already blessed this salad. This is just the backwash
- 5:16Speaker 1: of it. Yeah, this just this just ain't even the Krispy.
- 5:20Speaker 1: The crispy was six hours ago. This is just I
- 5:23Speaker 1: don't want to waste my money. The Lord thanks, So
- 5:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna go ahead, and it ain't even worth blessing.
- 5:27Speaker 7: You know, boy, you you risking it either way, you go,
- 5:30Speaker 7: you get what you got coming on that salad.
- 5:33Speaker 1: So I was just wondering that. So I got mine
- 5:36Speaker 1: too out the way, calling people.
- 5:38Speaker 7: And asking that question. Asking that question's awesome, sir, that's awesome. No,
- 5:42Speaker 7: no backtracking for you, no slacking off. Yeah, and you
- 5:45Speaker 7: said it because and now you're accountable.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I've got mine out there, right, So I'm good for
- 5:51Speaker 1: twenty twenty five, should say, Kwan Barkley. That's the big
- 5:56Speaker 1: question I had before the tragedy rolled into our lives,
- 6:01Speaker 1: and we unfortunately have to talk about that. What I
- 6:03Speaker 1: would like to ask you, gentlemen to do, at least
- 6:06Speaker 1: on our show, the gentleman that perpetrated the crime. What
- 6:10Speaker 1: we're going to start doing this year is minimizing voicing
- 6:14Speaker 1: their name. Yeah. Yeah, so we can tell their age,
- 6:19Speaker 1: we can tell their gender, we can tell their education.
- 6:22Speaker 1: But what we're going to try to do is start
- 6:24Speaker 1: a small little rally of just not giving them any
- 6:33Speaker 1: name recognition. Sir, man man, amendment, I love that. I
- 6:37Speaker 1: love that.
- 6:37Speaker 7: Yes, we will ratify that, man. I add an amendment
- 6:40Speaker 7: to that. When it comes to their gender and their age,
- 6:45Speaker 7: we will call that person old boy or old girl
- 6:53Speaker 7: thirty something, forty something. Oh boy, that's what. So we
- 6:58Speaker 7: ain't even gonna give them like identification, recognition, no specific
- 7:03Speaker 7: just random you a general reference.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Well, just to start that way for the for the
- 7:10Speaker 1: unfortunately the next person. Yeah, that whatever your act is,
- 7:17Speaker 1: we will have to deal with it because that we
- 7:21Speaker 1: can't particularly stop it, but we don't have to glorify
- 7:28Speaker 1: your name so you can rest in peace or lay
- 7:31Speaker 1: in that hospital or whatever. It's starting to realize that,
- 7:34Speaker 1: so y'all ain't gonna no. No, you old boy, oh
- 7:38Speaker 1: boy from West Georgia, right that decided to go down there.
- 7:45Speaker 1: That's who you are and do the thing. Don't really
- 7:48Speaker 1: talk about what you did, and when you think about it,
- 7:51Speaker 1: oh boy, that's how it will start being. People will
- 7:55Speaker 1: just remember the act. They will forget who.
- 8:00Speaker 7: Actually, they won't be out right, They're won't be outside
- 8:03Speaker 7: of the courtroom dressed as characters that mimic his name.
- 8:08Speaker 7: They'll just be old boy and nobody's really outside dressed.
- 8:12Speaker 1: So that little small group that does it thinking they're
- 8:14Speaker 1: gonna live in some kind of infamy. Yes, we can.
- 8:17Speaker 1: We can start that path today today, can't we commagine? Yes? Yeah,
- 8:23Speaker 1: as the oh girl that drove her kids in the
- 8:27Speaker 1: Oh girl girl, Oh girl, drove from drove her kids
- 8:31Speaker 1: into the into the thing. Right, Yes, there we go, Yeah,
- 8:35Speaker 1: tell me she want to get out right, old girl,
- 8:38Speaker 1: And eventually nobody will really know.
- 8:40Speaker 10: And then over time when people try to look it up, right,
- 8:44Speaker 10: that's that's in the Google, old boy, and you have
- 8:48Speaker 10: to type all of them inn old boy? Who tried
- 8:51Speaker 10: to word of the year? Old boy?
- 8:54Speaker 1: And we go twenty twenty five off to a bang.
- 8:57Speaker 11: Uh.
- 8:57Speaker 1: But one of the big questions I had, and we
- 9:00Speaker 1: will see, and it seems that the decision is being made.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I asked a couple of friends about Saquon Barkley. Say,
- 9:07Speaker 1: Kuon Barkley, the running back, first year with the Eagles,
- 9:11Speaker 1: played about four years with the Giants, maybe five. I
- 9:16Speaker 1: think this is his fifth or sixth year in the league,
- 9:19Speaker 1: but the first with the Eagles. He has now, as
- 9:23Speaker 1: of last weekend, broken two thousand yards, becoming the ninth
- 9:28Speaker 1: person to ever do that in league history. He's one
- 9:33Speaker 1: hundred and one yards away from tying Eric Dickerson's single
- 9:37Speaker 1: season record, Eric Dickerson. If you know Eric Dickerson, ed,
- 9:43Speaker 1: it is no surprise that he doesn't want to say
- 9:45Speaker 1: on one that's ed. The d is me first, self
- 9:52Speaker 1: centered is what made him such a great running back.
- 9:58Speaker 7: Now that he's not me first, he's not you before me.
- 10:03Speaker 7: It's not me first, it's not you before me.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Sir, so I mentioned you first. Now I was gonna
- 10:08Speaker 1: go ahead on and pass you though, like you mean
- 10:12Speaker 1: in your car you can go after me like like
- 10:16Speaker 1: no in the history books.
- 10:18Speaker 7: Wait, I thought you were talking about it to the afterlife.
- 10:20Speaker 7: I was cool with that part. You're talking about it
- 10:22Speaker 7: in the history books like my name ed come after
- 10:25Speaker 7: somebody else's name.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Because they asked Eric Dickerson how did he feel about it?
- 10:31Speaker 1: And he was he was like he doesn't want him
- 10:34Speaker 1: to break it. Similar to the seventy four Dolphins. Is
- 10:40Speaker 1: that the year undefeated that always get together? The numbers
- 10:46Speaker 1: are dwelling, yeah, but they together.
- 10:49Speaker 7: Yeah, And then people have started shorter number of games
- 10:52Speaker 7: and all that. But so we you know, that's all
- 10:55Speaker 7: the games we.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Had, that's all they was paying for about they were
- 10:58Speaker 1: paying for back then. So that's what undehte it. So
- 11:01Speaker 1: but say Kwan Barkley, we will talk about that as
- 11:05Speaker 1: the show goes on. Should he play? Shouldn't he play?
- 11:09Speaker 1: If you were him? One hundred and one yards and
- 11:12Speaker 1: the only thing as we go to break, I will
- 11:14Speaker 1: leave you with is that out of the sixteen games
- 11:18Speaker 1: he's already played this year, eleven he's broken a hundred yards.
- 11:22Speaker 1: So this is not out of his wheelhouse. This is
- 11:26Speaker 1: not like some extraordinary number he had. He just basically
- 11:30Speaker 1: just has to go and have a good game, a
- 11:34Speaker 1: good game, because that's what he's been doing.
- 11:36Speaker 3: The other year.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Six good games he's had, no the other eleven. Eleven
- 11:42Speaker 1: of the sixteen games had been over one hundred years
- 11:45Speaker 1: went over one you. We'll be back with more to
- 11:47Speaker 1: Sports Job Show right after this.

- 13:36Speaker 16: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 13:39Speaker 16: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 13:42Speaker 16: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes where
- 13:45Speaker 16: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 13:48Speaker 16: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 13:52Speaker 16: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 13:55Speaker 16: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 13:58Speaker 16: a positive. Knew I needed more tools in my toolbox
- 14:02Speaker 16: to take care of these little girls that just lost
- 14:05Speaker 16: their mother. It's time for me to be that father
- 14:08Speaker 16: that I knew I could be. I think just being
- 14:10Speaker 16: that good role model as well. That model's good behavior
- 14:14Speaker 16: in front of them, going to work every day, coming
- 14:17Speaker 16: home and being able to put on that smile. The
- 14:19Speaker 16: biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back and
- 14:23Speaker 16: watching your kids be happy.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Never stop being a dad. That's dedication.
- 14:29Speaker 17: Find out more on Fatherhood dot gov. Brought to you
- 14:32Speaker 17: by the US Department of Health and Human Services and

- 14:38Speaker 3: And now back to the sports. John Wayne Gandy.
- 14:42Speaker 12: The Jock of the Day is sponsored by Mattress HEROESUSA
- 14:45Speaker 12: dot com. This sleep you deserve at a price you
- 14:48Speaker 12: can afford. No, no, no no, It's time to present
- 14:51Speaker 12: the Jock of the Day. All the sports jockshit just.
- 14:54Speaker 13: Taking it to a completely different level.
- 14:56Speaker 5: This year where we highlighted appoly that has taken their
- 14:59Speaker 5: game to the next level.
- 15:25Speaker 1: In the morning, Welcome back to this boy Shock show.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I'm the spy Shock Wayne Againtie. Happy New Year. If
- 15:32Speaker 1: you're just tuning in comand you Greg Big Kenny up
- 15:35Speaker 1: in the studio with me.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Uh today we're.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Going to talk about unfortunately the issues down in New
- 15:42Speaker 1: Orleans in just a second. But trying to keep it
- 15:45Speaker 1: on an upbeat here, uh being a new year. Always
- 15:49Speaker 1: hard to do that after such tragedies around the country.
- 15:54Speaker 1: When you report when we get on it, you'll see
- 15:57Speaker 1: it's three or four incidents is in just thirty six
- 16:01Speaker 1: hours of the new year that have happened. But we
- 16:05Speaker 1: were talking about the ego Saquon Barkley should he play.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I will tell you my opinion, as I said, going
- 16:13Speaker 1: to break eleven of the sixteen games that he played
- 16:17Speaker 1: this season, he's already over two thousand yards. But in
- 16:21Speaker 1: eleven of those sixteen games this year, he's already gone
- 16:26Speaker 1: over one hundred yards. If the mark was something like
- 16:31Speaker 1: one seventy five, one sixty, even if you got close
- 16:37Speaker 1: one forty five fifty something outside of his game regular
- 16:43Speaker 1: game average, and I want to say he averages around
- 16:46Speaker 1: one twenty a game. That's how you get two thousand
- 16:50Speaker 1: yards in the season. Then I can see instantly deciding
- 16:55Speaker 1: not to play, but sitting at one on one O
- 17:00Speaker 1: one to break such a historic record that only eight
- 17:07Speaker 1: people before ever broke. So that lets you see how
- 17:12Speaker 1: exclusive of a club this is.
- 17:16Speaker 3: And we're talking about over decades.
- 17:22Speaker 1: We're talking about like some I think O J didn't
- 17:27Speaker 1: set OJ did it before Jamal Lewis was even born
- 17:33Speaker 1: kind of thing. You know, Jamal Lewis is one of
- 17:35Speaker 1: the guys that broke it. That kind of that's how
- 17:38Speaker 1: far back, like it wasn't just one of those every
- 17:41Speaker 1: other year, right, somebody was breaking it.
- 17:45Speaker 3: It's a when you look at the list of people
- 17:47Speaker 3: who have done.
- 17:48Speaker 7: It, Chevrolet changed body stock by the time somebody had
- 17:51Speaker 7: broke the record again.
- 17:53Speaker 1: So you know, which gives credence to how hard it
- 17:56Speaker 1: is to do even in this case with say Quan
- 18:01Speaker 1: breaking it. Now, who was the last one? Chris Johnson,
- 18:06Speaker 1: Derrick Henry, Derrick Henry And how long ago was that?
- 18:09Speaker 1: That was twenty twenty, twenty twenty, so that's four and
- 18:12Speaker 1: before that, do you know Adrian Peterson. I think that
- 18:17Speaker 1: was twenty twelve, okay, so eighty before that, I get it,
- 18:22Speaker 1: Chris Johnson. Before Chris Johnson, Jamal Lewis was like number
- 18:26Speaker 1: five to do it when he did it, and that
- 18:30Speaker 1: was around what two thousand and three, yeah, something like that.
- 18:35Speaker 1: And then before that, it's just I'm just showing like
- 18:38Speaker 1: it's been it doesn't just have every day.
- 18:40Speaker 10: I remember when when Barry Sanders did it, and he
- 18:43Speaker 10: was only the third person to do it.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Right, and that was probably what the early nineties something
- 18:48Speaker 1: like that, So you know, and then you start getting
- 18:53Speaker 1: that long list of people. Eric Dickerson did it and
- 18:57Speaker 1: OJ right, OJ was the first. Yes, so OJ, Eric Dickerson,
- 19:03Speaker 1: then Barry Sanders, Ye, yeah, something like that. It's a
- 19:08Speaker 1: very exclusive Davis. Yeah, it's just all these most of
- 19:13Speaker 1: these guys are Hall of famers. It rarely happens, and
- 19:16Speaker 1: with it only being one hundred and one yards, is
- 19:18Speaker 1: what I would do as a teammate if we were voting,
- 19:22Speaker 1: if I was the owner. I understand we don't really
- 19:25Speaker 1: have anything to play for by playing you, but when
- 19:28Speaker 1: you sit on a record this close where you can
- 19:31Speaker 1: basically see it, one hundred yards is the length of
- 19:33Speaker 1: a football field. So I can stand on one end
- 19:36Speaker 1: and see the record. It's what you run to get
- 19:42Speaker 1: in shape. Think about it. When you run hundreds to
- 19:46Speaker 1: get in shape for football, how many other we're gonna do.
- 19:49Speaker 1: We're gonna do twelve hundreds today. So I'm just giving
- 19:53Speaker 1: you the way to look at it. So why not
- 19:57Speaker 1: just roll a half out your starting no line out there,
- 20:02Speaker 1: roll of half if you if you're somewhere eighty plus
- 20:07Speaker 1: at half, the decision made for you. If you're somewhere
- 20:10Speaker 1: where you're only twenty eight yards in the first half,
- 20:15Speaker 1: you walk in there, he on, let me get your pads. Well,
- 20:17Speaker 1: let me let me you're gonna get your shower.
- 20:21Speaker 7: Ultimately, whose decision will it be? The teams g I
- 20:25Speaker 7: think it's I think it's evenly his. The coaches' personality.
- 20:31Speaker 7: Seems like he's one of those guys that he would
- 20:35Speaker 7: give into the team, right and see now that has
- 20:41Speaker 7: certain personalities you couldn't well. I've always maybe it's because
- 20:47Speaker 7: of the sports movies I watched growing up, but I
- 20:50Speaker 7: always imagine coaches and players being kind of like parent
- 20:53Speaker 7: and child, and a coach, as a parent, wants that
- 20:56Speaker 7: child to achieve that greatness, especially you know, under my guidance,
- 21:01Speaker 7: that would be a win for us both. But if
- 21:04Speaker 7: that compromises what we're trying to do in the long run,
- 21:07Speaker 7: I can see that concern. But for them to say,
- 21:11Speaker 7: you only got say forty eight yards in the first
- 21:15Speaker 7: half before halftime. By halftime, is he one of those
- 21:20Speaker 7: people that are go, oh, man, I know I can
- 21:22Speaker 7: make these other sixty And that's what you'll have to temper, like,
- 21:27Speaker 7: come on, man.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Well, I think if he walked in there and pushed
- 21:30Speaker 1: for it, definitely they will let him because they don't
- 21:33Speaker 1: want it to get out that they got in his way.
- 21:36Speaker 1: But you have some owners that they want to have
- 21:40Speaker 1: that belief that for a period of time they get
- 21:44Speaker 1: that's the logo that shows up because remember it's team
- 21:48Speaker 1: pride too.
- 21:49Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 21:49Speaker 7: Yeah, and that's what And generally I would imagine in
- 21:53Speaker 7: a situation like this, barring the threat of injury, I
- 21:58Speaker 7: just let it play out. Let you do everything you can.
- 22:02Speaker 7: If you don't get it, it wasn't because we pulled
- 22:04Speaker 7: you out of the game.
- 22:05Speaker 1: And the one component as we go to breakout, get
- 22:08Speaker 1: you to understand. That's why I said for it to
- 22:11Speaker 1: play him means to activate your whole offensive line. Yes,
- 22:19Speaker 1: does that make sense. You're not gonna send him out
- 22:22Speaker 1: there to do this and sit three of your starting
- 22:27Speaker 1: offensive linemen. So it is a little more of a
- 22:30Speaker 1: commitment game commitment than it is. You know, when the
- 22:37Speaker 1: starting quarterback goes out in a preseason game, you can
- 22:41Speaker 1: take your old line out. But best believe if your
- 22:43Speaker 1: starting quarterback is in a preseason game, your old line
- 22:47Speaker 1: is out there. I knew I can't leave the game
- 22:50Speaker 1: until the starting quarterback lead. I got to continue to play.
- 22:53Speaker 1: And it's the same thing with Saquon. You're gonna want
- 22:56Speaker 1: to put the five starters if you can. But it's
- 23:00Speaker 1: team because I took pride of, you know, breaking records
- 23:03Speaker 1: as an O line of somebody. Oh man, you know
- 23:06Speaker 1: we ran for the second most yards in history of
- 23:08Speaker 1: this franchise, right, that is O line pride as well.
- 23:12Speaker 1: So it's a big record to have. But uh, we'll
- 23:15Speaker 1: go to break come back and we have to go
- 23:18Speaker 1: to Bourbon Street unfortunately. Yeah, and talk about that. We'll
- 23:23Speaker 1: be back down to Sports.

- 25:44Speaker 20: Daisy was abandoned by her family and placed in foster
- 25:48Speaker 20: care at fifteen years old. Her life was full of uncertainty.
- 25:53Speaker 20: She thought she'd never have a permanent place to call home.
- 25:58Speaker 21: Before I was adopted, I felt like I wasn't enough.
- 26:01Speaker 21: I had this hole in my heart, and I never
- 26:03Speaker 21: knew what I needed to patch that hole. But when
- 26:06Speaker 21: my mom asked to adopt me.
- 26:08Speaker 6: That hole was closed.
- 26:09Speaker 21: It feels so normal now to say that I'm a
- 26:11Speaker 21: part of this family. I am surrounded by love, I
- 26:14Speaker 21: feel safe, and that hole inside of me is gone.
- 26:19Speaker 3: I am whole.
- 26:20Speaker 21: I'm finally enough, just as I am.

- 27:02Speaker 3: Some shots here?
- 27:03Speaker 1: You can take a blawn.
- 27:13Speaker 7: With the Gatto's care.
- 27:16Speaker 1: By the way, because something Welcome back to this w
- 27:21Speaker 1: shop show. I'm this war shock wing gamey. Good morning
- 27:25Speaker 1: to you the Sugar Bowl down in New Orleans, which
- 27:31Speaker 1: was supposed to end the triple hitter yesterday of the
- 27:36Speaker 1: college football playoffs. We will talk about the other games
- 27:41Speaker 1: in a second, which turned out to be some thrilling games,
- 27:47Speaker 1: especially the Texas game versus Arizona State. Also Ohio State
- 27:54Speaker 1: decided to go to work on Oregon and at the
- 27:57Speaker 1: end of the night for the Sugar Bowl down in
- 27:59Speaker 1: New York Orleans, Notre Dame was supposed to take on
- 28:05Speaker 1: the University of Georgia the Bulldogs, who have been dominant
- 28:10Speaker 1: in recent years and won multiple national titles. Unfortunately, in
- 28:18Speaker 1: the late hours of the new year, an incident occurred
- 28:26Speaker 1: down in the French Quarter Bourbon Street area where a
- 28:34Speaker 1: gentleman decided, as we do as humans, to regrettably take
- 28:45Speaker 1: our pain, take our bad choices, take our distrust, our failures,
- 28:54Speaker 1: and lash out at other people. We seem to as
- 29:02Speaker 1: humans run on high emotions and we feel like when
- 29:08Speaker 1: we're in our emotional state that someone else should easily
- 29:13Speaker 1: have to take the burden of those emotions. Typically it's
- 29:22Speaker 1: someone we know, it's close around. But we see a
- 29:24Speaker 1: growing level of where people want mass, mass, quality quantities
- 29:32Speaker 1: of people to have to experience their pain. And that's
- 29:37Speaker 1: what this coward of a man did. And I don't
- 29:42Speaker 1: care what they dig up about him. Going forward to
- 29:46Speaker 1: act the other night is a coward act. It's a horrible,
- 29:55Speaker 1: disgusting It's the epitome of what you wish and hope
- 29:59Speaker 1: and pray got discrapulated from our society. When you decided
- 30:07Speaker 1: that you want to make a statement from however, your
- 30:10Speaker 1: life choices didn't send you where you wanted to go.
- 30:14Speaker 1: You decide to get in a vehicle and kill as
- 30:18Speaker 1: many people as possible. Fifteen people losing life so far,
- 30:26Speaker 1: multiple other people hurt and hospitalized. Unfortunately, someone also blew
- 30:35Speaker 1: up a tesla out in Vegas in front of the
- 30:40Speaker 1: Trump Tower. Unfortunately. Up in Jamaica, Queens, mass shooting ten people.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Ten to twelve people shot up there outside a club.
- 30:57Speaker 1: So we have to wonder where are as a people.
- 31:00Speaker 1: As twenty twenty five starts, we did a pole. We
- 31:04Speaker 1: talked about a pole where people felt like it justified
- 31:08Speaker 1: to shoot the insurance broker a couple of weeks ago.
- 31:12Speaker 1: That's that's cool, Yeah, let him have it. You know,
- 31:16Speaker 1: I don't know. As I have told plenty of people,
- 31:19Speaker 1: it seems that I used to in my short lifetime
- 31:26Speaker 1: when because I'm a big history buff, and when there
- 31:30Speaker 1: was only one cow and no electricity, no indoor plumbing,
- 31:36Speaker 1: no vaccines, you kind of almost understood why savagery existed.
- 31:46Speaker 1: You almost understood when there was no no one had
- 31:50Speaker 1: shoes in the house and somebody would do something to
- 31:53Speaker 1: get a pair of shoes just so we could walk
- 31:56Speaker 1: to the cow, so you could get to get some food. Yeah,
- 32:00Speaker 1: you could, you know, try and work something out. Regardless
- 32:03Speaker 1: of economic levels. It's hard to meet a person that
- 32:07Speaker 1: doesn't have at least two pairachoes.
- 32:10Speaker 14: Oh my goodness.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Kind of situation that you know, there's vaccines, or there's
- 32:17Speaker 1: before you get free food. I don't mean that poverty
- 32:19Speaker 1: in those things does not exist. I'm not telling you that.
- 32:22Speaker 1: I'm saying but when that used to be the day
- 32:24Speaker 1: to day, you understood the savagery. It was the day
- 32:30Speaker 1: to day when it's just.
- 32:31Speaker 7: To under to a degree because everybody else barefoot was like,
- 32:35Speaker 7: well the rest of us just got well catus.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Well, when I say that, I mean you could see
- 32:40Speaker 1: how the savagery would develop in a person and it
- 32:43Speaker 1: could be driven to extreme circumstance. From extreme circumstance, you
- 32:47Speaker 1: could be driven to extreme acts. But this guy was
- 32:50Speaker 1: able to rent a car, which means that, yeah, the
- 32:54Speaker 1: credit card. Remember you're in a car now, they hold
- 32:56Speaker 1: they hold the first five hundred on the car. They show,
- 32:59Speaker 1: do don't they? Last time I rented a car They
- 33:02Speaker 1: was telling me, look, yes, we're gonna hold a whole
- 33:05Speaker 1: amount for about four five days and then we'll reimburse
- 33:09Speaker 1: it or reimburse it. And now if you can't hold
- 33:12Speaker 1: it on there, if you don't have room on there
- 33:14Speaker 1: to hold it, you can't get the car. And then
- 33:17Speaker 1: you got to have your security deposit. So that we
- 33:22Speaker 1: but we we functioned with each other. And I said that, like,
- 33:25Speaker 1: we live in the world without electricity, where savagery could
- 33:32Speaker 1: be cultivated, but we just seem to be emotional, which
- 33:38Speaker 1: leads to acts like this. The Sugar Bowl has had
- 33:40Speaker 1: to move to today for authorities to really investigate to
- 33:46Speaker 1: make sure this was just a singularity. They're not sure.
- 33:50Speaker 1: The Attorney General of Louisiana, Liz Morrell uh she actually
- 33:57Speaker 1: wanted the game to be pushed to Friday because she
- 34:00Speaker 1: wanted even more time to investigate to make sure that
- 34:06Speaker 1: this is a one off at least right now. Remember,
- 34:08Speaker 1: the Super Bowl is in a month in New Orleans,
- 34:12Speaker 1: so I don't know how this will affect that. I'm
- 34:15Speaker 1: quite sure the shield will do everything between now and then.
- 34:20Speaker 1: But we do see that celebrational times are now the
- 34:26Speaker 1: new target in our society. Parades, sporting events, religious holidays,
- 34:33Speaker 1: any situation where people got door festivals. Yes, that is
- 34:39Speaker 1: becoming the new along with the old fashioned sadly of
- 34:43Speaker 1: places like schools, in public works places. So it's just
- 34:50Speaker 1: a shame that that's how the new year had to start. Hopefully,
- 34:54Speaker 1: these young men find their focus a lot of time.
- 35:00Speaker 1: What you don't understand about sports, it's about timing. Everything
- 35:04Speaker 1: is on a time and you're looking to you know,
- 35:07Speaker 1: the best recipes are timed. Yes, when you cook, if
- 35:13Speaker 1: you're just in there freestyling and letting something cook between
- 35:18Speaker 1: twelve and fifteen minutes when it was supposed to be
- 35:21Speaker 1: just eleven, and then you're not getting the best out
- 35:24Speaker 1: of it. So sports is like that, everything is a timing.
- 35:28Speaker 1: You're gonna play on this day, you're gonna peak, You're
- 35:30Speaker 1: gonna let all your anger, you all your thoughts be
- 35:32Speaker 1: on this particular day. But to the victims, we can't
- 35:38Speaker 1: wouldn't be able to say enough. As the name start
- 35:42Speaker 1: coming out, young man out of Princeton who played football
- 35:46Speaker 1: up there only I think twenty seven years old. The
- 35:49Speaker 1: victims' names are starting to come out of how this
- 35:52Speaker 1: tragedy happened and the LIFs that have been taken doesn't
- 35:58Speaker 1: seem like anything because the one thing COMANCHI and Big
- 36:03Speaker 1: can I'll let you weigh in on it that in
- 36:05Speaker 1: these situations, because you know, everybody's going to try to
- 36:08Speaker 1: investigate to see who and what went wrong. But it
- 36:11Speaker 1: sounds like police presence was on Bourbon Street, three hundred officers.
- 36:16Speaker 1: That barricades were, you know, at least for what you
- 36:21Speaker 1: can think. You've been to Bourbon Street. You've been to
- 36:24Speaker 1: Bourbon Street. Cars get in there, right right there, and
- 36:27Speaker 1: they're fixed barricades. They're not mobile or like those iron
- 36:31Speaker 1: fences that people bring out. These are concrete and iron
- 36:35Speaker 1: poles that go the width of the street every block,
- 36:39Speaker 1: so that vehicles can't motorize, vehicles can't come down the street.
- 36:45Speaker 1: And on top of it, when a person goes with
- 36:49Speaker 1: the sense of they are coming here to die either way,
- 36:53Speaker 1: it's a little harder to stop. Yeah, to prepare that.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Typically you can prepare for a person going so far
- 37:04Speaker 1: and then I gotta get away. Yeah, But when you're
- 37:07Speaker 1: fully committed I'm not going anywhere, then your aim, your
- 37:12Speaker 1: presence is a little more powerful.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Guys, when you heard the news, how did this make
- 37:17Speaker 3: you feel.
- 37:18Speaker 22: I was.
- 37:21Speaker 7: Angered and frustrated because I got up extra early on
- 37:24Speaker 7: January first, forgive my language to get a jump start
- 37:30Speaker 7: before the BS started. If it's gonna be any bs,
- 37:34Speaker 7: it's not gonna catch me for the sun come up, brand,
- 37:37Speaker 7: new Year, Brand, a lovely day.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Cut on the TV and America go home.
- 37:44Speaker 7: What are y'alls? Three hours? It happened about three fifteen am,
- 37:50Speaker 7: three hours into the new year. This what you own,
- 37:53Speaker 7: This what you're doing, and it's just ain't this enough?
- 37:58Speaker 7: By the time the truck starts blowing up, like ain't
- 38:00Speaker 7: we had enough for today? Like let give us a break?
- 38:06Speaker 1: And now it is just you.
- 38:07Speaker 7: You mentioned that societally, we seem to have so much emotion,
- 38:12Speaker 7: and I think it's because we've started to reward emotional outbursts.
- 38:17Speaker 7: It used to be a time where if you were
- 38:19Speaker 7: angry and you did something, you were made to shut
- 38:22Speaker 7: up and sit down. Ain't nobody nobody cares about your
- 38:25Speaker 7: feelings that way. But now you can do something and
- 38:29Speaker 7: say it was because of my feelings, and then everybody
- 38:31Speaker 7: wants to discuss what we could have done to make
- 38:33Speaker 7: you feel better, And we don't really care about your feelings.
- 38:36Speaker 7: In a way like that when it hurts and disrupts
- 38:41Speaker 7: other people's lives, Your feelings are yours to manage. And
- 38:46Speaker 7: we live in a world where everybody wants to be
- 38:48Speaker 7: heard right now and if they can't be heard, they.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Want Yeah, we'll be back with more to Sports Shock

- 40:43Speaker 1: Hi.
- 40:43Speaker 24: I'm Ryan Blaney, a third generational race car driver, and
- 40:46Speaker 24: we dedicate a lot of our time to going as
- 40:48Speaker 24: fast as possible. My grandpa lose the reason why my
- 40:50Speaker 24: dad and I started racing, and I'm really proud to
- 40:52Speaker 24: follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa was diagnosed
- 40:55Speaker 24: with Alzheimer's. It was a very unexpected bump in the
- 40:57Speaker 24: road for us. I've learned a lot on this journey
- 40:59Speaker 24: with my grand Paulu, and the memories of my grandpa
- 41:02Speaker 24: will always be with me. It's important to notice if
- 41:04Speaker 24: older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems with their memory,
- 41:08Speaker 24: or having trouble with routine tasks. Talking about Alzheimer's can
- 41:11Speaker 24: be really tough, but if you notice something, have a
- 41:13Speaker 24: conversation with your loved one, encourage them to see a

- 42:09Speaker 13: Log say you can see a sports chant, I'll sing even.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Big Janney welc back to this War Shock show, this
- 42:18Speaker 1: War Shock Wayne can dig. Good morning to your happy
- 42:21Speaker 1: New Year comand you Greg mc kenny in the studio
- 42:24Speaker 1: where we were trying trying to move through, Uh, the
- 42:29Speaker 1: disturbing terroristic act down in New Orleans. As I said,
- 42:34Speaker 1: if you click on as well, UH, someone intentionally blew
- 42:40Speaker 1: up a tesla outside of the top Trump Towers in Vegas.
- 42:45Speaker 1: I think there was at least one person killed in
- 42:48Speaker 1: that instant dent. And as we went on the air,
- 42:52Speaker 1: I saw that last night there was a shooting at
- 42:55Speaker 1: a nightclub uh A Masarah up in Jamaica, Queens, New York,
- 43:04Speaker 1: where at least ten people are wounded in that incident
- 43:08Speaker 1: where four gentlemen open fired into a crowd. So you
- 43:12Speaker 1: might hear more about that as the day, the second
- 43:16Speaker 1: day of twenty twenty five rolls around, command you, Gregg,
- 43:19Speaker 1: just to give you a minute to weigh in about
- 43:23Speaker 1: the tragedy down in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl.
- 43:29Speaker 10: I guess one thing kind of along the lines of
- 43:32Speaker 10: with Bi King trying to get an early start on
- 43:37Speaker 10: the on the day for me, like I'm really trying
- 43:43Speaker 10: not to be numb to these to these kind of
- 43:49Speaker 10: events because we hear about it every every day, like
- 43:56Speaker 10: you hear about like with some statistics, like you know,
- 43:58Speaker 10: every fifteen minutes something something, you know, something happened, and
- 44:01Speaker 10: it seems like it's that it's every ten to fifteen
- 44:04Speaker 10: minutes there's some kind of tragedy like this.
- 44:08Speaker 3: So I do feel for the.
- 44:11Speaker 1: For the victims.
- 44:14Speaker 10: I am bothered, like we talked about in the first segment,
- 44:16Speaker 10: how much attention the perpetrator got, uh, where more information
- 44:22Speaker 10: is being found out about about him and his personal life, Like,
- 44:26Speaker 10: well what that part doesn't that part doesn't matter, so uh,
- 44:34Speaker 10: just trying to focus on what what matters now, like
- 44:40Speaker 10: what what can be done to prevent this? What can
- 44:42Speaker 10: be done to I guess, just to try to how
- 44:50Speaker 10: can we move on from it and it and all?
- 44:52Speaker 10: But I'm trying not to be like, oh, well, another
- 44:55Speaker 10: another terroristic looking attack.
- 44:58Speaker 1: And Greg gets a thing that you say that because.
- 45:03Speaker 7: We live in a time, you know, and we're over
- 45:06Speaker 7: half century, so you're close that this has become more
- 45:11Speaker 7: normalized in our time and in an effort for me,
- 45:15Speaker 7: it's a defense mechanism to protect my emotional, spiritual, and
- 45:20Speaker 7: mental peace. I have tried to compartmentalize it, and my mother,
- 45:26Speaker 7: for whom a time, this was never a normal thing, seese.
- 45:30Speaker 7: It sometimes as offensive. When did you hear about, Yeah, hey,
- 45:35Speaker 7: do you want sauce with your I'm talking about the killer? Yeah, mama,
- 45:40Speaker 7: But look, we are cool, and it's well, how can
- 45:43Speaker 7: you be so un well?
- 45:45Speaker 1: Mama? You know I'm not uncaring.
- 45:48Speaker 7: I'm just saying I look around the room, and the
- 45:51Speaker 7: people that went to sleep in this house are awake today.
- 45:54Speaker 7: And that's where I start counting my wins, because anything
- 45:58Speaker 7: outside of this is a app shoot, and if I
- 46:01Speaker 7: absorb it all, I'd be like those people Madden and
- 46:06Speaker 7: going through things that you can't explain. So I have
- 46:09Speaker 7: to almost make myself dismissive of these things just so
- 46:14Speaker 7: I don't absorb too much of it.
- 46:16Speaker 1: And that's I'm with you, COMANCHI I thought maybe even
- 46:20Speaker 1: all the Bowl games should be postponed, at least for
- 46:24Speaker 1: a day. I don't think you cancel them, because then
- 46:29Speaker 1: you seem to be letting the terrorists win, if you
- 46:33Speaker 1: let them interrupt the normancy of our society too much.
- 46:37Speaker 1: But to observe it, I could have dealt with a
- 46:39Speaker 1: day because Pushing these days back affects everyone, not just
- 46:48Speaker 1: the people attending the game, not just the people playing
- 46:51Speaker 1: the game, but the people that put this game on,
- 46:54Speaker 1: the producers, the TV, the big wigs, the Ore company,
- 46:58Speaker 1: everybody got to push some back, Cola, Dr Pepper, everybody.
- 47:05Speaker 7: I was gonna be able to come to the game
- 47:07Speaker 7: as a volunteer.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Everything has to be different. And I don't know, other
- 47:14Speaker 1: than asking and for people to be a little more aware.
- 47:19Speaker 1: These things seemed to spring up with no intent outside
- 47:23Speaker 1: of my jealousy and my anger. You know, it doesn't ever,
- 47:26Speaker 1: it seemed.
- 47:27Speaker 7: Like petty motivation really, and I don't mean to you
- 47:32Speaker 7: like a whole like the Taliban, where it just seemed
- 47:36Speaker 7: to be uh, you know, And I'm quite sure some
- 47:38Speaker 7: of them could have other connections, but a good percentage
- 47:42Speaker 7: from at least from what we see, just seems to
- 47:44Speaker 7: be someone.
- 47:45Speaker 1: The kid here in Atlanta the beginning of the football
- 47:49Speaker 1: season that went to the high school, it just seemed
- 47:54Speaker 1: to be more. He wasn't on no kind of he
- 47:56Speaker 1: was on it.
- 47:56Speaker 7: Third day after school.
- 47:58Speaker 3: It was on some kind of matter. He went on
- 48:00Speaker 3: a manifesto.
- 48:03Speaker 7: He feeling he had he wasn't bullied by nobody at
- 48:06Speaker 7: this school. He didn't know nobody at this school. You
- 48:09Speaker 7: just got here, goofy, it's your third day. First day
- 48:13Speaker 7: was getting your class schedule. Second day is learning where
- 48:15Speaker 7: you going.
- 48:17Speaker 1: But other than the idea of maybe addressing how we
- 48:21Speaker 1: like mc kenny was alluding to, we seem to have
- 48:24Speaker 1: a very soft way of getting people to understand. And
- 48:30Speaker 1: sometimes even I tell people, you know, I'm a religious guy.
- 48:34Speaker 1: I am a spiritual god. You believe in my faith,
- 48:38Speaker 1: and I let it guide me as much as I can.
- 48:40Speaker 1: I give over to it for people that don't have it.
- 48:43Speaker 1: I tell him, you know, find something that could that
- 48:48Speaker 1: could tell you being in control of your life because
- 48:53Speaker 1: you leading yourself. Typically you'll be running on motions. You
- 49:01Speaker 1: don't have something to curve that I'm mad. Well, you
- 49:04Speaker 1: being mad doesn't allow you to hurt that person, and
- 49:09Speaker 1: you being upset doesn't You having a failure, You having
- 49:12Speaker 1: a bad dad work doesn't allow you to go home
- 49:15Speaker 1: and take that out on the house, right or anybody
- 49:19Speaker 1: or anyone else on that way. And a lot of
- 49:22Speaker 1: times you feel like, well, people must just have decided
- 49:25Speaker 1: to box up or don't have it. And I'm not
- 49:29Speaker 1: talking about anything of people on the cross. So I'm
- 49:32Speaker 1: talking about something that you let.
- 49:38Speaker 7: Almost cool you down. My bird Steve. When I get upset,
- 49:44Speaker 7: I think about my bird Steve, so.
- 49:46Speaker 1: That you're not around here just on your whel because
- 49:50Speaker 1: your will is to me is what leads you to
- 49:52Speaker 1: feel like three days into the school year, it's cool
- 49:56Speaker 1: for me to do this or whatever this gentleman now
- 49:59Speaker 1: in New Orleans went through. It's you know, I want
- 50:02Speaker 1: to go out like this and take other people with me.
- 50:06Speaker 1: You're not even taking people don't even know you, man?
- 50:09Speaker 11: Who is?
- 50:10Speaker 1: Who are you? Who is? And I still don't know you.
- 50:14Speaker 1: I can't even frame it up because at least if you,
- 50:16Speaker 1: oh man, you know they tortured him over there, that's
- 50:19Speaker 1: why he went over there, back over you know. But
- 50:22Speaker 1: you just went to somebody's house and killed them because
- 50:26Speaker 1: you lost your job. That's that's kind of where we are.
- 50:31Speaker 1: But we'll come back, try to get back on the
- 50:34Speaker 1: upbeat on the show. Unfortunately, and and see if we
- 50:38Speaker 1: can talk about the game today, which got moved to
- 50:40Speaker 1: four o'clock between Georgia and Notre Dame.
- 50:45Speaker 14: Got a category of owning number president.
- 50:47Speaker 25: It's gonna be along, but so many throw resident with
- 50:49Speaker 25: my particular stout stout taking an extra curriculum, chicken nugget
- 50:57Speaker 25: and not gonna take back.
- 51:03Speaker 4: John't boy Awayne Bard of The Sports Josh Show with
- 51:06Speaker 4: Wayne gam videos coming up next. Hurting a game, we
- 51:10Speaker 4: tough it out, feel exhausted, we push on feeling down.
- 51:15Speaker 15: We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps. But there are
- 51:19Speaker 15: times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress gets to us
- 51:23Speaker 15: and we need to talk to someone about what we're

- 52:46Speaker 26: Center cord on Sports News gossip blih blah bliblah.
- 52:55Speaker 12: Yeah, felabus.
- 53:13Speaker 1: What this what shock show?
- 53:14Speaker 3: I'm this what shock Queen again. The Mississippi Valley State.
- 53:20Speaker 1: The Mean Green Marching Machine U is the nickname of
- 53:25Speaker 1: their marching band coming under some scrutiny guys for requesting
- 53:33Speaker 1: donations to perform at President Trump's inauguration at the end
- 53:40Speaker 1: of this month. A lot of people have an issue
- 53:44Speaker 1: with them. They're trying to raise three hundred and fifty
- 53:46Speaker 1: thousand dollars to go fund me to assist in procuring uniforms, instruments,
- 53:54Speaker 1: et cetera, to get up to perform at the inauguration
- 53:59Speaker 1: on January the twentieth. His first time around, he had
- 54:05Speaker 1: a HBCU band, didn't he was the Jackson State. I
- 54:11Speaker 1: got sure who it was, correct. I was surprised that.
- 54:16Speaker 1: I was like, well, he's asked for HBCU before to
- 54:22Speaker 1: come and perform, and I think they did so. I
- 54:25Speaker 1: didn't understand the backlash of if that president has already
- 54:31Speaker 1: been set.
- 54:33Speaker 7: I've seen a video that was shared on social media
- 54:39Speaker 7: by a female who was questioning the rationale and legitimacy
- 54:45Speaker 7: of an HBCU, which is an historically black college and university,
- 54:51Speaker 7: going to support a presidency that, from what she said,
- 54:57Speaker 7: wants to eliminate your exis distance. Now, we have seen
- 55:02Speaker 7: the president of the HBCU marching band at a presidential
- 55:09Speaker 7: inauguration for Trump and Bush and other Republicans and Democratic
- 55:16Speaker 7: presidential inauguration, so it's not the first time that it's
- 55:19Speaker 7: been done. One of the questions that they had about
- 55:22Speaker 7: Valley doing it Mississippi Valley State is that you need
- 55:25Speaker 7: three hundred and fifty thousand dollars from us to go
- 55:29Speaker 7: let yourself be exploited. Is how the person who presented
- 55:33Speaker 7: it framed it, and a lot of people emotionally took
- 55:39Speaker 7: up that arms. And that's what they're bearing against Mississippi
- 55:45Speaker 7: Valley State, is that you want us to donate to
- 55:48Speaker 7: your call. I mean, you're you're a band. If you
- 55:50Speaker 7: don't have the money, don't go. I mean how you
- 55:52Speaker 7: collecting for instruments.
- 55:53Speaker 1: But regardless of who is the president, for one second, right,
- 55:58Speaker 1: wouldn'ness be how the band procure funds.
- 56:03Speaker 7: I've only known bands to raise funds, yes, scratch out
- 56:09Speaker 7: all bands raised, So there's nothing wrong with the process.
- 56:13Speaker 1: I've never seen.
- 56:15Speaker 10: Criticized to familiar with the singer Chrissette Michelle. She performed
- 56:20Speaker 10: at the previous Trump inauguration and a lot of her
- 56:28Speaker 10: fans or R and B music fans criticized her and
- 56:32Speaker 10: turned on her for for that.
- 56:35Speaker 1: And I think it was the band the HBC that
- 56:37Speaker 1: Dion Sanders got his degree from. I want to say
- 56:43Speaker 1: that band the t went up to Calladega. I think
- 56:47Speaker 1: that's the band that went up and or at least
- 56:50Speaker 1: was offered. I don't know if they made the trip
- 56:52Speaker 1: that first time for Trump, but my point was exactly,
- 56:58Speaker 1: this is how bands raise money to do certain things.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Now you're just that it's Trump or his administration, But
- 57:08Speaker 1: don't make it seem like that's not how they go, right.
- 57:13Speaker 1: And I think it's an honor to be able to
- 57:17Speaker 1: be asked to do something. And sometimes what you forget
- 57:21Speaker 1: is you're taking a stance for kids. A lot of
- 57:25Speaker 1: these are the moments they joined the band. They joined
- 57:28Speaker 1: the band, hoping their football team gets to some big bowl,
- 57:32Speaker 1: right then they get to go to it, that kind
- 57:35Speaker 1: of thing.
- 57:35Speaker 3: You know, all of those.
- 57:37Speaker 7: Comments are in the conversation. A lot of people, my
- 57:42Speaker 7: friends in particular, highlighted that like, look, a lot of
- 57:45Speaker 7: these children have never been outside of It'll been a
- 57:48Speaker 7: Mississippi and this will be a time for them to
- 57:51Speaker 7: experience things and and go places and be seen in
- 57:55Speaker 7: a light outside of the one that usually would be.
- 57:58Speaker 1: I was in the band in high school and we yeah,
- 58:03Speaker 1: my GPA said, was that's on the society and there
- 58:08Speaker 1: that was a big, big supernur supernurves. You know, I
- 58:12Speaker 1: was a secret nerve. I had good grade, but you
- 58:15Speaker 1: weren't gonna know it. I wanted you to know.
- 58:17Speaker 3: I didn't want to know.
- 58:18Speaker 11: I could.
- 58:19Speaker 1: I made a job of letting you know. I couldn't
- 58:22Speaker 1: tell not only can I do that thing on the football,
- 58:24Speaker 1: the basketball, the track and the band.
- 58:28Speaker 7: Also I had talked with my teacher, hey, look you
- 58:31Speaker 7: got to stop doing.
- 58:32Speaker 1: That, but saying we would be And it took years,
- 58:38Speaker 1: and it took me actually to get to the NFL
- 58:40Speaker 1: to realize what we were doing. We just was loving
- 58:42Speaker 1: the opportunity that we would be part of the band
- 58:47Speaker 1: that would escort the Super Bowl MVP in to Disney World.
- 58:54Speaker 1: But it never registered her to us until me and
- 58:57Speaker 1: my friends got out, like man, you know, because they
- 59:00Speaker 1: would just make it was an annual team. And then
- 59:02Speaker 1: you got older and realized, oh, so when he says
- 59:05Speaker 1: he going to Disney World, we were the five or
- 59:08Speaker 1: six bands that they would select to march around Magic
- 59:13Speaker 1: Kingdom with the Super Bowl MVP on the back. It
- 59:18Speaker 1: was an honor.
- 59:19Speaker 3: I didn't know we were even supposed to be weighing
- 59:21Speaker 3: and measuring.
- 59:22Speaker 1: We were looking at it as man, we get an
- 59:24Speaker 1: opportunity to play, and once we finished playing, we can
- 59:27Speaker 1: go to Disney World and the buses until nine ten
- 59:30Speaker 1: o'clock at night, and if you had a car, you
- 59:33Speaker 1: could be there. You just drive yourself up there, you know,
- 59:36Speaker 1: based on your age, So you forget that sometimes when
- 59:41Speaker 1: you want to take that away from these kids. And
- 59:45Speaker 1: which college was that comanchie at the previous inauguration? Talladega College, Yeah, okay, okay,
- 59:51Speaker 1: And that was Trump's inauguration or was it Joe Biden's?
- 59:55Speaker 1: That was Trump's inauguration the first time around? Okay, So
- 59:58Speaker 1: I do remember that.
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: So and again, those are the reasons that people would
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: be proponents of let it play out. And then we've
- 1:00:12Speaker 7: talked a lot about emotion here. The people who are
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: against it, y'all not in college right now, you're not
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: Alumnia Valley. Stop.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: What has this got to do with you? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: you can keep your mind, your money. We'll be back
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: with more to sports right after this. To everybody that
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: living it up, we come on.
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: John Boy, Wayne Born of the Sports John Show with

- 1:00:55Speaker 3: Hear that.
- 1:00:58Speaker 18: That's the sound of your life, perfectly imperfect, beating in
- 1:01:04Speaker 18: rhythm to the world you've created. But every time you

- 1:03:23Speaker 5: You may.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Welcome back to the one Shock Shock. I'm the sw
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Shock Wing Gamy. Good morning to you, Happy New Year.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: If you missed any of that first hour, Apple Podcast,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Amazon Podcast, Audible, Deezer, iHeartRadio or Spotify or places you
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: can rehear the show after we go off air College
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: football playoff game down in the Sugar Bowl today at
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: four p m. Y'allling go to work today anyway, So
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: it's okay, you know how y'all, it's America. We figured
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: out a way to take a holiday and stretch it
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: all the way to Monday.
- 1:04:05Speaker 7: And you were saying, go to work, and I'm trying
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: because most of America's Internet influencers, so nobody really works works.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Everybody's working from home. The game that was scheduled to
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: be played last night about eight thirty due to unfortunate
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: circumstances with terroristic act has gotten moved to today. Hopefully
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: it can be played without any more Hindrance University of
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Georgia playing a Notre Dame. The winner of the Sugar Bowl.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: We'll go on to play Penn State, who beat Boise
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: State yes on Tuesday, New Year's Eve. Penn State beat
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Boise State yesterday. Texas beat Arizona State here in the
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Peach Bowl in Atlanta, and out in the Rose Bowl,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Ohio State made quick work Oregon, jumping up big in
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: the first half and just never letting go. So now
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: in the Semis, Texas will play Ohio State. Penn State
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: will play the winner of the game tonight or this evening,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Notre Dame Georgia. The key to this quarterfinals is seemingly
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: the teams that played. And I talked about this on
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: the show. It's a long time. These games need to
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: be moved up. I don't say this because of it's
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: not emotional. I'm telling you from being in that helment
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: putting on those cliques, you do really not as much
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: as you want rest. You don't want too much rest.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Two weeks and you want to play, you don't really
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: want Your timing is off. Think about the games that
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: you've Penn State, Boise State, Texas, Arizona State, Ohio State, Oregon,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Boisese State, Arizona State, Oregon did not play, so yesterday
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: or the day before when they played, was the first
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: time they had played in three twenty four, twenty five
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: days for some of them. After half they finally got
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: in a groove. But they were playing teams that had
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: played the week before or ten days before, who were
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: already in a groove. You think that's not a coincident.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: And all of them was getting was winning as well.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: Like you know, the teams that had set there had
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: all that time. They were trying to get back up
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: the speed. That is a long break for an athlete
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: during the season. One week, two weeks, your timing is there.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: You start getting anything really really anything passed about ten days,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: you start getting That's why people see me, you know,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: out since I've been Oh man, you look like man,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: my mind is so far away. I don't from being
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: slammed on the ground. That's a mentality. Yeah, yeah, it's people.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: There's little aspects of athletics that I hope by the
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: time it's about a mentality. I'm not in that mentality anymore.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: When I hit my hand on the door, it hurts
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: now like I'm looking for some eyes and wondering should
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: I go to the doctor and a splint. It's a
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: total difference. When I was six, it was a badge
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: of honor. Look how big my knuckles are. I slapped
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: him with broken knuckles. Man, you be out there, and
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: you know I was in that game. Boy, I didn't
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: even have a ham string and I ran that long.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: You know you but you get no man, dumb damned too. Man,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: don't hurt me.
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: It's cold. I ain't got no jack.
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: It seemed very dragty meifty two degree fifty two.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: It's drafted. I'm not even being able to go to
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: that game, he says. Outdoors crazy. These people are crazy?
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Are they Are they using something? You can get you
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: some wings and go home and watching them TV and comfort.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Why would you go out here, I would be a
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: terrible man now, Like I'm not about to go thirty
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: degrees and do what for what? Tailgate?
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: You be outdoors.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: So it's a mentality. I'm saying all that. Some team,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: the Chiefs are going to have a long break. Right
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: by the time they officially have to play on a game,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: they're out this week, they've been out. They had those
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: extra days because they played in Christmas. Yeah they did,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: remember they played on Christmas, so then they won that
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: they had those five So they're going to be looking
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: at what about twenty days or somewhere in there. Now.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: They could because a lot of their players have been
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: down this rabbit hole before before. But when you don't
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: have that kind of mentality or personnel, it's a reason
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Ohio's Oregon was playing slower in Ohio State, didn't it
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: look that way? And defense Arizona in the second half.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Arizona finally was like, hey, they find we're pretty good
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: at this. Their star player at the running back, even
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: though he pushed through it. You know, two two, three
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: weeks to a tail back, I'm kind of out of
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: shape now.
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: I mean running backs like to eat.
- 1:09:42Speaker 10: They're throwing up well, I think more people need to
- 1:09:44Speaker 10: like see that, because there was a lot of conversation
- 1:09:50Speaker 10: about Ashton Genty for Boise State saying, oh, he got
- 1:09:53Speaker 10: he got exposed against I guess a better team. Like, no,
- 1:09:56Speaker 10: he hadn't played in a month. The whole team had
- 1:10:00Speaker 10: not played in a month, and now they got to
- 1:10:02Speaker 10: gear up and for a playoff game against a team
- 1:10:07Speaker 10: that just played last week. So like, the timing's off
- 1:10:10Speaker 10: the rhythms and not just it was not about like
- 1:10:14Speaker 10: he's a bad player or he got exposed.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: It's it was a timing and rhythm thing. And on
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: top of the distractions with the guys now, with the money,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: with the deals they're cutting beforehand, there's basically nothing I
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: can't continue to do. So I'm already mentally gone. Literally,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: guys are And it's not a necessary you always ate, No,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: it was, it's just a timing. Now and when my time,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: you were gonna play your last game and then you
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: were gonna go to your agent and see where you
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: might be drafted, and then he would give you some
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: money to get a car.
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: To get you to the draft.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Should Jordan them already have the ghost.
- 1:11:07Speaker 7: The G five, the Ghost to the G five to
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: fly me to the draft.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: That kind of stuff. So your mentality, your distraction, you're
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: shooting commercials, you're not surprised to see a player, a
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: Georgia player or Notre Dame player right now, Big Kenny tonight.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: You can't be surprised if they're not in the Nike
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: ad no or the Power Aid ad tonight. I'm talking
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: about it's already on the billboard.
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: It might not have a national release, but they've already
- 1:11:37Speaker 7: started cutting those deals.
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: The new Cranberry grape of Power Aid.
- 1:11:41Speaker 7: And because now this is the we've heard people talk
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: about the quality of the competition in these Bowl games.
- 1:11:49Speaker 7: We saw some teams like in Oregon yesterday take it
- 1:11:52Speaker 7: on the chin. Now that wasn't the norm for them,
- 1:11:56Speaker 7: but again, the rhythm is off the FB people they
- 1:12:00Speaker 7: see this. Are they still going to continue to stretch
- 1:12:04Speaker 7: it out? That is there no way to truncate this
- 1:12:06Speaker 7: a little bit, like start making the games a little faster,
- 1:12:10Speaker 7: or do they want to risk sing what we saw
- 1:12:12Speaker 7: last night with Ohio State Nork.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: I think they're gonna fight it for a while because
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: right now the Bowl has been such a lucrative and
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: such a cherished tradition, getting rid of the Bowl. I hurt.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: It is a tradition, so they're trying to still. I
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: know it really don't work, but I ain't going to
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: tell you that it really won't work. The Rose Bowl
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: has been a baby of college for a hundred years.
- 1:12:42Speaker 7: Now you're saying, and at one hundred years you still
- 1:12:44Speaker 7: calling yourself a baby. Is concerned, you see what I'm saying.
- 1:12:47Speaker 7: But that's that's the energy that they give it like.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: No, no, So they're still trying to fix everything on
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: these bowls when in actuality, as I said, the Bowl,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: the conference championship games, if you got a playoff system
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: need to be wiped out and you give them a
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: week and you just start playing the playoffs like the
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: NFL does. After this Sunday is we'll talk in this hour.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Playoffs start next weekend. There is no you know, there's
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: one team that to get a bye. Everybody else is
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: going to play football next weekend. Is just keep in sequence,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: not wait three weeks and then start playing again. We'll
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: be back with more of the Sports Jock Show right
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: after this.
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: Don't go Awayne Born of the Sports Johns Hill with
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: Wayne Gamvidia's coming up next.
- 1:13:50Speaker 17: In sitcoms, when someone has a problem, they just blurt
- 1:13:53Speaker 17: it out and move on.
- 1:13:54Speaker 13: Well, I lost my job and my parakeet is missing.
- 1:13:58Speaker 6: How is your day?
- 1:14:00Speaker 17: But the real world is different. Managing life's challenges can
- 1:14:03Speaker 17: be overwhelming.
- 1:14:04Speaker 9: So what do we do?
- 1:14:05Speaker 14: We get support?

- 1:17:40Speaker 1: caught up in like the first reality TV type situation
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: back in the day. Remember he was on with Jim Rome,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: Jim Rome or someone, and Jim kept calling him some name,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: calling him Chris Oh, Chris Evers and Jim Evers like
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: hitting with that. John Wick said, that was like thirty
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: years ago. That was a long time. I'm ago to
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: that happened. He kept calling them Chris efforts to the
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Jim effort and Jim got tired, and.
- 1:18:11Speaker 7: Everybody was like, you should have stopped calling him Chris.
- 1:18:16Speaker 7: But today everybody would have been like, why didn't he

- 1:18:54Speaker 7: I could post a down laws, I could take outside
- 1:18:58Speaker 7: with the long three from downtown.
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah, but she got a pedigree.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: She come from it.
- 1:19:04Speaker 7: She come from good stock, you see what I'm saying.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: So Cheryon Miller.
- 1:19:07Speaker 7: Then she go.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: It's about six five though, so it's a long day.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: You know, as long as the game is over by four,
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: everybody's sugar bowl.
- 1:19:17Speaker 7: Yeah she she good, good cause she ain't gotta go
- 1:19:20Speaker 7: straight to me.
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: I just you know, if you can fit it in,
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: fit it in your schedule.
- 1:19:23Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna do my best sports it's been
- 1:19:26Speaker 7: It's been a while since I played a whole game.
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: I'm gonna give it.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: I ain't got my rhythm.
- 1:19:35Speaker 7: I've been sitting around eating a lot for the holidays.
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: You said, we had a couple of comments.
- 1:19:39Speaker 7: One yes, sir, our loyal online listeners who have come
- 1:19:43Speaker 7: with us to twenty twenty five starting off with Jared Lloyd.
- 1:19:46Speaker 7: Our Raiders fan says, twenty twenty five starting off great,
- 1:19:49Speaker 7: Just the three. Amigo's uncle Charlie said, Good morning, guys,
- 1:19:53Speaker 7: Happy New Year. Can you all clarify gender? Phil Cook says,
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: Happy New Year. We got Uncle Charlie says, why wouldn't
- 1:19:59Speaker 7: they say, crying to break the record against the team
- 1:20:02Speaker 7: that didn't want him. That's something that we think should
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: be factored in. Howthorne says, Happy New Year, Grand Rising.
- 1:20:11Speaker 7: Uncle Charlie says, President Elon Musk is financially stable enough
- 1:20:16Speaker 7: to finance the project for Valley, so don't worry about
- 1:20:19Speaker 7: the Valley.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Reach out to Elon. He got the money. And if
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Elon gave him the money, people get upset. We findal
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: reason you let him buy you. That's that he could
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: send the plane. Yeah, you could send Emerald and guy fiery, Yeah,
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: the cook, the cook, he can he can send Beyonce's
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: fashion design of the dressing, the dress them.
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: Now you're selling out. I can't believe he was on
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: that that the spaceshift plane.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: We're in that time where like the messenger has to
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: be perfect. Yeah, and Antoine says too, but elon shuttle
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: with all that on it, I'm going I'm get my
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: drum set.
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: That one drum major.
- 1:21:11Speaker 7: Look kind of all these and then Antoine says, the
- 1:21:16Speaker 7: team sitting at home looked like they were playing their
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: first game of the season.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: Oregon looks sluggish.
- 1:21:21Speaker 7: They did, And that's what I'm saying that and the
- 1:21:24Speaker 7: quality of competition argument doesn't hold up in this model.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: And I say that because and I don't have the
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: exact time, but I do know like the SEC Championship
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: game that was played here was like December, like the
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: ninth or something like that. Yeah, right, so that means
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: that it's January the second. Georgia hasn't played a game
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: since then, which is almost a month in a sense.
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: Correct.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: So, And that's what I've me and you have said
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: there a long time, And I've said one of my
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: issues with holding Bowl games to the side who's going
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: to win the national championship is that you get a
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: game where guys haven't played in so long that it's
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: a tough gamble in a month, now, go ahead, comeand
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: you Yeah, the SEC championship was on December seventhventh, so that's.
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: Even closer to this.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: So basically it's a month that Georgia hasn't played the game,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: and most of these conferences games for that same day,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: the Big Ten, all of them typically on that same
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: the seventh or the sixth, So that's why they got
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: caught out there against a team that, yeah, they had
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: about a two week break and then they played a
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: game to keep that rhythm going. So definitely a situation.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: And I think you said Uncle Charlie or Phil Cook
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: was talking about Saquan.
- 1:22:54Speaker 7: Yeah, Uncle Charlie wanted to know why wouldn't you want
- 1:22:57Speaker 7: him to break the record against the team that didn't want.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: I want to know that, Uncle Charlie. I don't get
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: it all sets up great for all the things, say
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: being able to do that against his old team against
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: the Giants. Uh, it's a kind of interstate rivalry between
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: those two teams.
- 1:23:12Speaker 7: I'm saying, you break that record, then turn around, look
- 1:23:15Speaker 7: at your old.
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: Team and be like, tell your mama said hello. It
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: just seems like because if they do the ball, his
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: kids will think it's wrong. They would be like, oh, no, daddy,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: he was what the no you were with the Eagles
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: because it would have both team name on the ball
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: when he.
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: Broke the record.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: When the record because it's going to say who against Giants? Yeah,
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: and if you don't know, you'd be thinking he was
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: playing for the Giants when he broke the And now
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: some of that that's why I said, at least give
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: him a half to sin because some of that sounds
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: like personal ambition. But come on, man, you gotta reward
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: that you got to. Yeah, it has to be a
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: balance between team ambition and achievement. Yes, yes, it has
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: to be that. We'll be back with more to Sports

- 1:26:46Speaker 14: You can't touch this. You can't touch this. You can't
- 1:26:54Speaker 14: touch this. You can't touch this.
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: Look back to this Swart Shock Show. I'm this wort
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: Shock wing Againdee. Uncle Charlie too, Uncle Charlie who made
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: those comments about sa Quon. I throw this into you
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: in the mix as well. If sa Quon was sitting
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: here one hundred and one yards away and there was
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: a half a million dollar bonus on this record and
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: the Eagles told him he couldn't play.
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: Sports World, be mad. Yeah they would, Yeah, they'd be mad.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: Now I'm talking about flat out they would be looking
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: for some for Ben Crump, Yes to show up. It
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: got to be some kind of silvil.
- 1:27:46Speaker 7: But but but because I got a fifty dollars parley
- 1:27:52Speaker 7: on the playoffs, I don't want him to play.
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: And I'm cool with because we've seen guys, not teams
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: pull guys with a game to go. That's a couple
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: of more completions away from a bonus, and people get upset.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: So if it was some kind of half a million,
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: some good money and they was like, no, come on
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: over here, white man.
- 1:28:18Speaker 7: No, that man, he makes only thirty three million on
- 1:28:22Speaker 7: his contract. He desired that half million dollars.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: We've seen that.
- 1:28:27Speaker 10: There was a video where I think the year the
- 1:28:29Speaker 10: Bucks won the Super Bowl recently, in the last game,
- 1:28:33Speaker 10: everyone's going around, you got you gotta you got milestones,
- 1:28:37Speaker 10: you're trying to hit I need I need three catches,
- 1:28:39Speaker 10: all right, So we're gonna run these plays for you
- 1:28:41Speaker 10: to get those three catches. So like those because it
- 1:28:44Speaker 10: just seem like those players like they know they know
- 1:28:47Speaker 10: what they need and they you know, everyone tries to
- 1:28:50Speaker 10: once you get.
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: In the ballpark, if you know where close, even though
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: you know there's a claus in there. You know that's
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: that's about four games of work, right. I'm not gonna
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: get that, but when you know, it's just a cool
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: I just need you to throw to me the ball
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: three times. I can make that happen in the next
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: three plays. And if you don't throw me the ball,
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna take that shirt. Like Antonio Brown, I'm gonna
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: take my shirt off and leave if you don't throw
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: me this ball. Now, FSU players are suing coach Leonard
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: Hamilton Florida State University basketball coach head coach Leonard Hamilton.
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: The players are saying that coach Hamilton failed to pay
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: them their nil payments. He promised them that they would
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: all reach two hundred and fifty thousand dollars each. I
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: want to say, it's like six of them, six of
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: the players former players. I don't know if they had
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: anything in writing or this was just a verbal Old West,
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: you know, back in agreements. Agreement.
- 1:30:02Speaker 7: Hey, I tell you what you ride out with may
- 1:30:04Speaker 7: we gonna hit this stage, Coach, It's gonna be at
- 1:30:06Speaker 7: least two underfitted their pace. I'm telling you we can
- 1:30:10Speaker 7: go get down to the Rio Grand and retire. And
- 1:30:14Speaker 7: you was he was held to he was held to
- 1:30:18Speaker 7: that and we shoot the locko off power. I ain't
- 1:30:21Speaker 7: but seven dollars here and then. But then back in
- 1:30:25Speaker 7: old ways, they wouldn't go to court. They would robing
- 1:30:29Speaker 7: on the stage.
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: Coach.
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it was frontier justice back then. Oh man, But
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: this is what sixth player?
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: Is it? Six?
- 1:30:37Speaker 10: This is a six players?
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: Six players are claiming that Leonard Hamilton failed to pay them.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: We saw the young man for Las Vegas when the
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: season started, the quarterback, yes suit his number. He quit
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: after the three games. It was three games, right, yeah,
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: because he said they had promised him some money and
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: then he didn't get it, so he left. He and
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: entered the transfer port. I don't know where he's landed
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: so far. Uh, but we'll have to let this air
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: out and see what their grievance is. Uh, it's not
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: it could it's most likely true. And with how with
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: how sports is, you know, there was a time where
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: you'd be like the man, they're just trying to extort
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: go Temilton. And now the contract was their contract.
- 1:31:25Speaker 7: Maybe somebody doesn't think like it didn't seem that there
- 1:31:27Speaker 7: was a yeah, but you said though, but that was
- 1:31:31Speaker 7: based on what they told me.
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: Because I'm telling you it takes missus change.
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: You see what I'm saying.
- 1:31:38Speaker 7: My man said that he was gonna run the bread
- 1:31:40Speaker 7: and I was like, you know what, when the thing
- 1:31:42Speaker 7: comes through, we're gonna hit that lick and then everybody
- 1:31:44Speaker 7: gonna be And then oh boy tripped and I what
- 1:31:50Speaker 7: come on, man?
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: But we thought you were honorable coach. We shook on it.
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: I thought he was on.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. All of this is based know
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: what my man's them saying. So we will see how
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: this plays out for limited Leonard Hamilton. And what's so funny?
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: I laugh because ten years ago, you Leonard Hamilton would
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: be in some true Trump.
- 1:32:15Speaker 9: True.
- 1:32:17Speaker 7: Rom the university would be on the hook, like you know,
- 1:32:20Speaker 7: you guys might have your program taken just flat out
- 1:32:24Speaker 7: line the people.
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: He got a Ponzi scheme going. He definitely has put
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: hisself out there. Anthony Edwards or the Minnesota Timberwolves find
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: one hundred thousand dollars by the NBA for profane language.
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: It's so interesting. We all the beer commercials and the
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: gambling commercials and the go to the bunny ranch commercials.
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: The NBA puts out there man, we didn't all been
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: to the bunny ranch. All right, all right, the NBA,
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: though you played football, you can get a pass. You
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: played football, sir uh. And I just once again I
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: laughed for the hypocrisy you push all these other things
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: that society said doesn't need to be put out there.
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: But then because I use words that you don't like.
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: These aren't even homophobic or slur slurs or something. These
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: just I curse as we've seen. Man, you know that's
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: his language. He speaks like that. One hundred grand. That's
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: a lot for speaking. And I had to say something.
- 1:33:34Speaker 7: Against I thought it was freedom of speech. That that's
- 1:33:37Speaker 7: a pretty expensive curse word. Like that's gonna make you
- 1:33:42Speaker 7: stop cursing one hundred grand. I'm gonna hit you a
- 1:33:44Speaker 7: about five more curse words like what a hundred bleik
- 1:33:48Speaker 7: bleek dollars, y'all out, y'all big bleep.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: Mind. Now, is it supposed to be upon the NBA
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: to police language police language? I don't think so. I
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: don't think so.
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: Now you keep sitting the mic over here to me.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: Though I was headed to show I was und in
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: my business, and you said I was walking through the
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: walking through the tunnel at my job.
- 1:34:11Speaker 7: I'm at work. I ain't out in the streets just rambling,
- 1:34:14Speaker 7: and then people come up to me like, hey man,
- 1:34:17Speaker 7: what you think? And I said, well, big, all of
- 1:34:21Speaker 7: these lame big, big, and I kept walking. They asked me,
- 1:34:26Speaker 7: and I kept walking and they just well I didn't
- 1:34:29Speaker 7: even know the dang was.
- 1:34:32Speaker 10: Well you know it was Yeah, they played the rockets,
- 1:34:34Speaker 10: he hit the game winning shot, and so just I think,
- 1:34:39Speaker 10: like anytime it's that interview right after something big.
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: What did he say? Uh?
- 1:34:46Speaker 10: They asked him about the like the last play, and
- 1:34:49Speaker 10: he said, uh, uh Julius the players for Julius Randall
- 1:34:53Speaker 10: uh to run this play. Once he picked it up,
- 1:34:56Speaker 10: he said, I gotta go get it. Bleep the kill
- 1:35:00Speaker 10: found me, he cut me off. I'm like, bleep, I'm
- 1:35:02Speaker 10: going for the win. Like Gil what Arena said? I
- 1:35:05Speaker 10: don't do overtime, so bleep it. And we didn't all
- 1:35:09Speaker 10: say that on the microphone. Wait said that on a microphone. Uh, well,
- 1:35:16Speaker 10: one hundred thousand dollars.
- 1:35:17Speaker 7: That's a lot of money for expressing my opinion that
- 1:35:21Speaker 7: you asked me for. I'm our NBA. Yeah, we're gonna
- 1:35:24Speaker 7: have to modify that, make them people stop talking to me.
- 1:35:28Speaker 3: It's just something different.
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: They gotta try something, give me a minute. The Dallas
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: Cowboys did execuive Elliott a favor and released him a
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: couple of days ago. Hopefully for Zeke, he can get
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: on with a playoff team. And this was all about
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: the Cowboys and Zeke's respect that he has and rightfully so,
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: part of why Zeke probably came back to the Cowboys.
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: He thought they were going to be a playoff contender
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: and that didn't happen this season. But Jerry is giving
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: him that chance to land with someone in the playoffs.
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: He will be able to be claimed after waivers, So
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: you could based on someone getting injured or someone who
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: just is not deep at the running back position at
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: this moment. I can't think of a team that might
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: be in that situation, but you never know that neither
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: do with his stomach out well, a guy that good
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: short yardage, you know, kind of guy.
- 1:36:28Speaker 7: Between the tackles one does this Okay, you went back
- 1:36:35Speaker 7: to the team that broke up with you and then
- 1:36:37Speaker 7: they didn't want you again. Does that farewell for you
- 1:36:41Speaker 7: going forward?
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: I don't know if they didn't want him again or
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: if they just didn't find themselves in a lot of
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: situations they wanted to use men. They got him, and
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: we back up and they got him in there more
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: of the hard yards.
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: We're up.
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: By six, were trying to run the clock out. Just
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: need someone that's physical and don't turn.
- 1:37:02Speaker 7: The ball over.
- 1:37:03Speaker 3: But we were never in these situation, right, but we
- 1:37:07Speaker 3: always turned the ball over.
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: We're never Yeah, we're down by thirty thirty, No need
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: for Zeke and we don't need this Ferrari in this
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: traffic jam. Yeah, So we will see. Hopefully he finds
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: someone that at least get a chance here in the playoffs.
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: UH to continue. Comandchie Greg had a question, can Pat
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: McAfee get an NFL head coach fired? This is a
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: subject that came up during the Indianapolis coach game, you said, comanchie.
- 1:37:40Speaker 10: Yes, during their game against the Giants. After when they
- 1:37:46Speaker 10: lost and they were eliminated from the playoffs, there are
- 1:37:50Speaker 10: a lot of questions about about that team, as far
- 1:37:53Speaker 10: as with Anthony Richardson going forward and the how other
- 1:38:00Speaker 10: players attitudes, work ethic that Pat McAfee may have UH
- 1:38:06Speaker 10: access to because he played for the team, so he's
- 1:38:09Speaker 10: around the organization and he went on a Twitter tirade
- 1:38:15Speaker 10: the other day. Who's the head coach up there? For
- 1:38:18Speaker 10: the coachs Shane Stikeen. He was the Eagles offensive coordinator
- 1:38:24Speaker 10: I believe two years ago.
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: Okay, Shane Stiking sounds like a guy that could be
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: fired just the name alone. So you don't have any
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: you don't have any credibility Stiking. Mister Stikeen's got to go. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: If I can get my hand on Mike Rabel, you
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: know I can get rid of Stiking.
- 1:38:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:38:47Speaker 9: Uh.
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: And a lot of this I think is from the
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: Antonio Richardson. You got to figure out what to do
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: with him. Yeah, as a quarterback, you drafted him high.
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: He's half in, half out. Half the time, he quit
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: on you doing a dry macafe.
- 1:39:05Speaker 10: That's the point where it's like, Okay, this team isn't
- 1:39:08Speaker 10: going anywhere this year.
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: Right. They have a big decision with him on the
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: off season, whether to continue or to you know, maybe
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: trade and bring something else in because he's been out
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: more than he's been on the field. Right, Joe Flacco
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: upset right now? Like, man, I just used to do that.
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: I came here for a quarter or two. I didn't

- 1:41:57Speaker 1: So what should I do with all these coals?

- 1:42:39Speaker 13: Lock on say you can see a sports jaint.
- 1:42:43Speaker 3: I'll sing even.
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: Big Janny, welcome back to this boy, Shock shine this
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: boy shock Wayne Gandy, Good morning to you. Happy new year,
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: big kinning command you Greg in the studio this morning.
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: Once again, some athletes have been basically robbed again. Dak
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: Prescott's Beyonce. They say about forty thousand dollars worth of
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: goods have was stolen from her car. Luka Doncic had
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: his home invaded. Here here's all I can tell you, guys,
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: I've been calling from the day I got drafted, which
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: basically is thirty years ago. First and foremost, to galvanize
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: his leagues and stop announcing how much money you make.
- 1:43:41Speaker 3: Stop that.
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: That will help. Now we got to work on it
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: because we got nine to nine more percent to go.
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: But at least it wouldn't be announced every time somebody
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: throws a pass or done catch a ball man.
- 1:44:00Speaker 3: You know they pay him twenty seven million dollars a year.
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: He dropped.
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: That becomes half of the conversation.
- 1:44:07Speaker 7: Make me feel like you get sports so you can
- 1:44:09Speaker 7: survive a little robbin yea twenty seven million a year.
- 1:44:12Speaker 7: Everything is how much they get out your car forty
- 1:44:15Speaker 7: thousand UBI and I always.
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: Wanted to know. But since sports became a twenty four
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: hour cycle, you need different things to talk about. You
- 1:44:22Speaker 1: need ways to create enemies, to wager war against people.
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: The number one thing is always to publicize a person's salary.
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: It's never run him out of town for play as
- 1:44:34Speaker 1: much as it is run him out of time town
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: because he's not playing for what you're paying it.
- 1:44:41Speaker 3: That's what people you know, seen her cousins.
- 1:44:44Speaker 7: I can't believe they gave him one hundred and forty
- 1:44:46Speaker 7: three million dog contrasts, all they talked to man ain't
- 1:44:50Speaker 7: worth that, he ain't worth that.
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: All they did would talk about that. So to me,
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: leagues never needed to do that, And I used to
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: have an issue with that. Bat In the nineties it
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: was more publication. Every year the league would put out
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: highest paid players, things like that. But man, you bump
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: into people, typically relatives, and if you had to know
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: for them, they want to tell you how much you made.
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: You made seventy three million dollars this year. Let me
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: ask you some sports job.
- 1:45:25Speaker 7: Even if they didn't announce the exact amount of money,
- 1:45:29Speaker 7: there'd still be signs. I mean, people would still know that.
- 1:45:33Speaker 7: But you're saying that releasing a dollar amount is that
- 1:45:36Speaker 7: much more egregious. It doesn't happen ify somebody won the lottery, Yes,
- 1:45:42Speaker 7: the other day one point something.
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: Do do you know that person's name? They chose to
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: remain And have you noticed that they've stopped telling the
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: name as consistently if you don't catch it that first night.
- 1:45:53Speaker 7: At state laws now like some states, you can be anonymous.
- 1:45:57Speaker 7: Some states they were robbing. Some of those people were
- 1:45:59Speaker 7: get robbed in their neighborhood. They wanted to go back
- 1:46:03Speaker 7: to their neighborhood quietly. Yes, And I'm not telling you
- 1:46:07Speaker 7: that's the man. I'm just saying we have to pull
- 1:46:09Speaker 7: it back real slow. One thing is you could stop
- 1:46:13Speaker 7: your agent just say a six year deal. It's how
- 1:46:15Speaker 7: a five year deal with the max whatever that is.
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: Now, if you find out through all your inquiry what
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: the max is, that's fine. But I don't have to
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: keep throwing in your face in a society where a
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: twenty five year school teacher only makes seventy grand. Yeah,
- 1:46:33Speaker 1: you're rubbing that. You tell about low management for seventy million,
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: about how you can't play back to back. You're meeting
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: school five days a week through the so you're throwing
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: this up. You make yourself a target in a lot
- 1:46:46Speaker 1: of ways. Stop grandstanding, which means stop getting on the
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: internet and needing to show people all your toys and
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: jury and tricks. Took your chain in a sense. Wait now,
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: but I got a flix I'm saying. I'm saying this.
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: This is what I'm saying, y'all. Y'all see it.
- 1:47:06Speaker 7: Nine bands just to go to the mall for pizza.
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: Nine bands.
- 1:47:12Speaker 7: I got the Cuban link dipped and dripped ice all dripping.
- 1:47:18Speaker 31: I'm talking water, clearest water on my neck. Just a
- 1:47:23Speaker 31: hundred on the pinky right here. One hundred is the
- 1:47:26Speaker 31: cheapest ring I got. I got the Ferrari next to
- 1:47:30Speaker 31: the hell cat, next to.
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: The tree at the pizza up down on fourteen.
- 1:47:34Speaker 3: The pizza fourteenth. We going in.
- 1:47:37Speaker 7: Whoever wants some pizza come through. We taking the whole fleet.
- 1:47:40Speaker 7: I got the Fintaga. I'm hold on, let me pull out,
- 1:47:44Speaker 7: let me pull out this to the bands, let me
- 1:47:47Speaker 7: pull out the Gucci bag, putting out bands in the
- 1:47:50Speaker 7: Gucci bag. Look, I see some dudes pulling up. They
- 1:47:53Speaker 7: got the seisty mask on. We finn get it by, Hey, Hey,
- 1:47:57Speaker 7: what your dudes doing? Why is y'all grabbing me like that?
- 1:48:00Speaker 7: That really happens on the internet, And that's what that
- 1:48:03Speaker 7: really happened. People have gotten robbed while flexing, and a
- 1:48:06Speaker 7: lot of.
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: Guys, especially I remember that little, one little period where
- 1:48:09Speaker 1: a lot of NBA guys were getting robbed from when
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: they left gambling places when Poker, remember Poker had jumped
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: on the scene, and a lot of them somebody was
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: trailing them from where they left the poker game and
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: they would get them, not saying this is the food.
- 1:48:28Speaker 3: But everything about.
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: Distinguishing crime is about minimizing a person's ability to operate
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: in your life and know what you have moving more
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: silence and as much as I'm not saying it's your faults,
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: but switch up your routine sounds, it's all that. Throwing
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: it in people's face also is just human nature to
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: do that. And another is to vet everyone around you
- 1:49:02Speaker 1: more often. You gotta vet minimize, try to deal with
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: the same workers at your home. And if you change
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: up vet let it be the same pool guy. Let
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: be the same guy.
- 1:49:19Speaker 3: Ain't the same pool guy?
- 1:49:21Speaker 7: People, the pool guy got to give this dude the
- 1:49:24Speaker 7: reference you do you you know him personally?
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: Now sports shop.
- 1:49:27Speaker 7: I used to take for granted growing up on the
- 1:49:29Speaker 7: South Side Chicago that everybody knew that, because when I
- 1:49:33Speaker 7: grew up, everybody got questioned, who is that dude?
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: Who sent you? Where are you from? How do you
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: know that?
- 1:49:39Speaker 3: Who is this guy?
- 1:49:40Speaker 1: Hey?
- 1:49:40Speaker 9: Man?
- 1:49:40Speaker 1: Is he looking at you?
- 1:49:42Speaker 7: But you get out in the real world and realize
- 1:49:45Speaker 7: that people don't have that sense of awareness across the board,
- 1:49:49Speaker 7: and you would think that they would The I've never
- 1:49:52Speaker 7: understood the flexing. I mean, especially after the first guy
- 1:49:55Speaker 7: got robbed on the internet. You don't want to stop
- 1:49:58Speaker 7: like people have literally been flexing. Just like you said,
- 1:50:02Speaker 7: I'm at the Pizza Hut on fourteenth and they flexing
- 1:50:05Speaker 7: for ten minutes on the gram and in seven of
- 1:50:08Speaker 7: those minutes here comes some dudes in mask and they
- 1:50:11Speaker 7: get rated.
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: You're going into that store and buying forty thousand dollars
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: worth of some kind of product and thinking that cashier
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: or that person who you know, the security guard that's
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: holding the door is not calculating and coming up with
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: some scheme that's on you. The cashier got your name
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: and I addressing all of that.
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the world we're in.
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: That people are quick, always quietly, in my mind, looking
- 1:50:38Speaker 1: for a way to take what you have.
- 1:50:41Speaker 7: And sir, I know this firsthand. A lot of people
- 1:50:45Speaker 7: they say that this is organized group doing this. A
- 1:50:48Speaker 7: lot of people get those jobs to have access to
- 1:50:51Speaker 7: those people.
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: The valley guys. Yeah, they insert.
- 1:50:54Speaker 7: Them into those situations just so they can pull off
- 1:50:57Speaker 7: the scheme.
- 1:50:57Speaker 3: We'll be back more to sports Jock show right off,
- 1:51:00Speaker 3: because you're bit off more than you soon know. What's
- 1:51:03Speaker 3: the Dynamic duo?
- 1:51:04Speaker 7: Do well the Google thing? Come on, rock and swear
- 1:51:07Speaker 7: you gotta roble Kid in play now, everybody say.
- 1:51:09Speaker 4: It don't bowl Wayne Or of The Sports Jock Show
- 1:51:15Speaker 4: with Wayne Dandius coming up next.

- 1:52:20Speaker 12: five or see their ad.
- 1:52:21Speaker 13: On the sports jock dot com.
- 1:52:26Speaker 3: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy.
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: Now it's time put a school board.
- 1:52:35Speaker 26: Can we put a spin on life and sports and
- 1:52:38Speaker 26: how they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:52:48Speaker 11: And the world.
- 1:52:49Speaker 14: All right, we.
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: Just want to look at you.
- 1:52:58Speaker 2: And I know it's going to be.
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to the show. This spot shock Wayne Kandy
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: College football four pm today, The Sugar Bowl is going
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: down Notre Dame versus Georgia. Georgia starting quarterback for basically
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: the last two years, Carson Beck is not playing. They're
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: going with Hunter Stockton. Beck has declared for the NFL.
- 1:53:26Speaker 1: Carson Beck, if I was your uncle, I will tell
- 1:53:29Speaker 1: you to go back to Georgia, make yourself a top
- 1:53:33Speaker 1: ten pick. You got time and you got nil money.
- 1:53:39Speaker 1: Right now you're going to find yourself, you know, with
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: a lot of questions to answer, and you're injured, but
- 1:53:45Speaker 1: with how they're paying. That's why the nil became such
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: a prevalent thing for a lot of people. It can
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: let you be a little more patient now than you
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: used to be. I can you know, going from a
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: lunch card and a blue you know, free desserts, So
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: now where you can make three four million dollars, so
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: you won't feel like you have lost that. I just
- 1:54:09Speaker 1: don't feel like you're ready. Jalen Milroe the same thing.
- 1:54:13Speaker 1: Either go back to college or change to a running back.
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: So all the other day playing in the game. Athletically,
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: no one is better at that position, but you don't
- 1:54:23Speaker 1: seem to get the passing game down and take your time.
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: Get that nil money because it's nature is there? Yeah,
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: it's there, and it's locked in there. You ain't got
- 1:54:35Speaker 1: to negotiate that nil money. There was rumored us that
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: the Texas quarterback Quinn Errors was offered six million dollars
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: to stay, to come back and transfer. Somebody wants him
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: to leave Texas and come to their schools for six
- 1:54:51Speaker 1: million dollars.
- 1:54:52Speaker 3: There's a lot of that.
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: Hey, if I'm talk to the scout and he's talking
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: top ten, I'm gone. He's saying late first consider it.
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: I would just a little advice right there for me.
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: Should Nick Saban be the college football Commissioner head coach
- 1:55:14Speaker 1: for Penn State. James Franklin says that Nick should be
- 1:55:18Speaker 1: the college football commissioner because you got to have one.
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: It's you got to get away from the way it
- 1:55:27Speaker 1: is everything that the pros have. That's why teams are
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: getting GM's instead of ethic. You're getting that kind of
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: stuff because that's what's becoming. You need a commissioner. Is
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: he independent enough to be what's the word? I'm impartial?
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: I think so, yeah, I think so. I don't think
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: he would put place rules in place, you think for
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: like Bama or l SHU or just UH to even
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: the people who used to sponsor the teams that he coach.
- 1:56:01Speaker 1: I think he got away because of what James Franklin
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: wants to give him the job for. I think the
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: game this whole Yukon's coach Jim Mora talking about tampering
- 1:56:12Speaker 1: his team had some success today, and now so many
- 1:56:16Speaker 1: teams have come there and the coach players getting transferred
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: like there's no rules against it. And I think that's
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: part of why someone like a Nick Saban left Alabama.
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: He didn't want to be part of this wild.
- 1:56:29Speaker 7: West of Hey you know, hey blue Chip, remember the
- 1:56:34Speaker 7: movie Blue Chip now it's leg Hey, I get you
- 1:56:36Speaker 7: a tractor. I got a couple of trailer homes out here.
- 1:56:40Speaker 7: Let's roll the semesters.
- 1:56:43Speaker 9: Not.
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: I don't worry about it. I don't worry about school
- 1:56:45Speaker 1: and great point averages and all that.
- 1:56:47Speaker 3: What would that do? Don't let school? Don't let school
- 1:56:50Speaker 3: get in the way of football.
- 1:56:51Speaker 10: Yeah, please, don't let you came to play football. Not
- 1:56:54Speaker 10: you didn't come to play school. Yeah, don't you didn't
- 1:56:57Speaker 10: do that.
- 1:56:59Speaker 31: Uh.
- 1:56:59Speaker 1: The NFL last week of the season finally is here.
- 1:57:03Speaker 1: There are a couple of things still to be decided,
- 1:57:07Speaker 1: especially between the Falcons and the Bucks. Both of those
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: games are at one o'clock on Sunday. The Saints are
- 1:57:15Speaker 1: visiting Tampa Bay. The Carolina Panthers is coming to Atlanta.
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: Now Atlanta needs to win. Either way, they have to win.
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: They have to beat Carolina. Tampa Bay based on what
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: Atlanta does, has both options. Actually, if they win, they're in.
- 1:57:38Speaker 1: They have no problem. But if the Falcons and the
- 1:57:41Speaker 1: Bucks lose, the Bucks still go, right, So the only
- 1:57:47Speaker 1: way Atlanta goes is they have to have the same
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: record as the Bucks. So the Bucks actually have two
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: ways in. The Falcons only have one. Way, which is
- 1:57:56Speaker 1: them winning and the Bucks lose. Typical zero options. You know, look,
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: we didn't stuck ourselves in this and team both Fortunately
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: for both they're playing at home, so they won't have
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: that to getting the way like they were on the road.
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: They're at home. So Bucks, just win a game, you
- 1:58:18Speaker 1: go to the playoffs, you win the division. He actually
- 1:58:20Speaker 1: not just win a game, you win division and you
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: get a home playoff game for winning the division. So
- 1:58:26Speaker 1: you would have a game next week, both of them,
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: Atlanta and Tampa whoever gets in will have a game
- 1:58:32Speaker 1: at home next week.
- 1:58:35Speaker 3: The Stellers and the Bengals on Saturday.
- 1:58:39Speaker 1: The Bengals need to win and a couple of teams
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: to lose, Baltimore and Cleveland. And now that situation is
- 1:58:50Speaker 1: if Pittsburgh wins and Baltimore loses, the Stellers win the division. Correct. Yes,
- 1:58:56Speaker 1: So it's a little bit on some of these games.
- 1:58:58Speaker 1: Now some of them you don't even need to tune
- 1:59:00Speaker 1: in to Big kennym just letting you know that.
- 1:59:02Speaker 3: Now with the.
- 1:59:04Speaker 10: Bengals, they specifically need Denver to lose to Kansas City, Yes,
- 1:59:10Speaker 10: and they need Denver and Miami to both lose.
- 1:59:13Speaker 1: And neither Denver or neither Kansas City or Miami are
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: playing their starting quarterback right, so to attack with the
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: oil is out for Miami and Carson Wentz is in
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: for Patrick Mahomes because the Chiefs have nothing to play for.
- 1:59:30Speaker 1: They just got to get through a game.
- 1:59:33Speaker 7: So, but everybody out there put my homes daddy out
- 1:59:38Speaker 7: there at this time part of his community.
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: So this is the last week of the NFL regular season.
- 1:59:44Speaker 1: And remember today at four pm Eastern time, the Sugar
- 1:59:49Speaker 1: Bowl is going to take place, and we are in ocean.

- 2:01:14Speaker 1: she's a cheerleader, entered the livestock competition.
- 2:01:22Speaker 3: Felt like.
- 2:01:24Speaker 1: She might lose the live stock competition, so she poisoned
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: her main competitor's goat.
- 2:01:37Speaker 3: Killed the goat.
- 2:01:40Speaker 1: Say she felt the pressure. She just didn't feel like,
- 2:01:42Speaker 1: you know, her goat was going to win. She wanted
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: best in the show, so she got some pesticide and
- 2:01:51Speaker 1: poisoned the competitor's goat so she could have a chance
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: to win. She said she did feel like the young
- 2:01:57Speaker 1: girls was cheating. I don't know what she meant by cheating.
- 2:02:03Speaker 1: Maybe she had her goat lifting weights. I don't know
- 2:02:07Speaker 1: how you cheat with a goat. Gave a playbook and
- 2:02:12Speaker 1: why she supply us to go to goat get poison.
- 2:02:16Speaker 1: She has been arrested. It's a felony. She intentionally killed
- 2:02:19Speaker 1: this person's pet with a toxic pesticide. Seventeen year old.
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: She's on the cheerleading team. It was a competitive livestock
- 2:02:29Speaker 1: show that she wanted to win. The fifty year old
- 2:02:34Speaker 1: said she was just jealous of her goat. It's a
- 2:02:37Speaker 1: good thing she got on the cheerleading squad. Yeah, she
- 2:02:41Speaker 1: needs a bad No man needs to know date her
- 2:02:45Speaker 1: without knowing this. Now, now come on you. She needs
- 2:02:50Speaker 1: to have the bose this right up top. That need
- 2:02:53Speaker 1: to be in her court.
- 2:02:53Speaker 7: Paper, the future farmers of America.
- 2:02:58Speaker 3: Nothing else and her buts.
- 2:03:03Speaker 1: Uh miss Aubrey. Uh, you gotta walk the plank, walk

- 2:03:25Speaker 27: Now?

- 2:03:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a crime in itself.
- 2:03:30Speaker 1: What you're in for.
