  you just you know, I was doing my community service this morning, No

  way, good, Good for you doing. Yeah, I enjoy it.

  I actually, so what do you do? I work at a thrift shop

  at my church, and so even I'm almost done with the hours, but
• 1:17
  I'm just I'm going to keep doing it afterwards because they help a lot of
• 1:19
  homeless people and thousands of items go out every day. So it's it's really
• 1:23
  nice. Wow. Talk about you know, turning nine lemons in a bowl
• 1:30
  into lemonade or maybe some bruise lemons in about nine bowl I mean, the
• 1:37
  bottom line is, you know, it's still really hard for me to grasp
• 1:42
  the horrible choices that I made. I mean, I every day I don't.
• 1:47
  I don't. There's not a day that goes by where I don't think
• 1:49
  about it. But I'm just grateful that I didn't hurt anybody. I mean,
• 1:52
  how do you hope? How do you cope with that? As you
• 1:56
  say? Every day? You know, I know it weighs on you.

  So what do you what are your coping mechanisms? I know a lot of
• 2:00
  people have burdens such as yours, So what do you do well? I
• 2:04
  mean, that's the thing. When I was going through my divorce and when
• 2:07
  I was going through kind of the demise of my second time around relationship with
• 2:13
  John Jansen, I did. I did drink a lot more and I did
• 2:16
  use it as a coping mechanism. So I actually went to a place on
• 2:21
  my own. I did my research because I was offered some free alcohol rehab
• 2:25
  stays, but I chose to go to place actually in Newport. It's a
• 2:30
  big one of the better no trauma facilities. So I did an intensive out
• 2:36
  the program for thirty days, and you know, because I want to figure
• 2:40
  out why I make stupid choices. Yes, yes, you have to get
• 2:45
  to the root right and so well, there was an alcohol component to the
• 2:50
  program. You know, I'm able to. I'm still working with the therapists,
• 2:55
  but you know, there are things that I've kind of barren down and
• 3:00
  I haven't addressed in my life, and so I'm working through that right now.
• 3:04
  So it's all it's all a good thing. And I think that something
• 3:07
  as drastic as this had to happen in order for me to make certain changes
• 3:14
  in my life. And so I'm just doing the best. Wow, there's
• 3:17
  a lot of guilt. There's a lot of guilt. There's a lot of
• 3:20
  shame. And that was part of my program too. Is that how do
• 3:23
  you deal with that? Because it's I mean, you know, people say,
• 3:28
  oh, I got a DUI too when I was in high school.
• 3:30
  I'm flipping sixty. It's just pure stupidity or is it self sabotage? Like
• 3:37
  these are the questions I'm sure you're asking with your therapist. I don't know
• 3:42
  that, you know, I got an argument. I had been drinking way
• 3:45
  too much and I got in argument with John and my car was never at
• 3:49
  his home. But it was there that day and I had three blocks to
• 3:52
  go, and I'm the dumb person that thought, no, I'm not going
• 3:54
  to leave my car here, I'm going to get in my car, and
• 3:58
  that's what happened. I was angry with him and I went home to the
• 4:01
  gas and I lost control of the car. So damn, now is there?
• 4:06
  I know, it's just you have taken responsibility. You've you know,
• 4:12
  you're doing the things, and like you said, no one was hurt,
• 4:14
  Thank God. Is there any part of you that blames John Jansen? No,
• 4:20
  I mean I take full responsibility. No one put a gun to my
• 4:24
  head and I said get in the car. That was my choice, you
• 4:27
  know, impaired, impaired, but no, it was my choice. I
• 4:30
  take full responsibility. Now, how did you like? I really admire that.
• 4:34
  Well, first of all, you're in the spotlight, You've done interviews,
• 4:39
  You've talked about this. I remember kind of before Bravocan you were talking
• 4:42
  about this program that you were a part of, and you've been really transparent
• 4:47
  about it, which I think is very helpful for people. So will you
• 4:51
  be sharing any of this on the next season of Orange County or absolutely?
• 4:59
  Yeah, it's part of my story because I'm still going through you know,
• 5:01
  I chose to put a breathalyzer in my car because there are different options that
• 5:06
  you can choose, Oh my god, and one is you can keep driving
• 5:12
  if you have the breathalyzer. And you know, for me, it's embarrassing
• 5:15
  and it'll go off at any time five to twenty minutes into driving, so
• 5:18
  like people can look over and see you blowing in the thing. But I
• 5:23
  felt it was important for me to do that because it's just a constant reminder,
• 5:26
  you know, of what happened. Yeah, good for you. And
• 5:30
  how did you deal with this with your kids? That was the hardest part
• 5:34
  because I, you know, I try to lead by example with my kids,
• 5:40
  and it was just, you know, I said this a couple of
• 5:44
  times, but I had never been in an accident in my life. I'd
• 5:47
  never broken a bone, I'd never been arrested, I never had a DUI,
• 5:51
  And like, I took care of checking off all those boxes in a
• 5:55
  matter of ten seconds. And that's frightening to me. So, you know,
• 6:00
  they see the remorse that I have, and they see me trying to
• 6:05
  make myself a better person from it. So I have nothing but their support,
• 6:11
  which I'm grateful for. But you'll you will see that because you know,
• 6:15
  my twins started college this year, so I'm living. I'm living by
• 6:19
  myself. So but right before they went home after Christmas break, we started
• 6:25
  filming, so I was able to film a scene with them, so it
• 6:28
  was good. Oh that's so nice. So when you are walking the walk,
• 6:32
  does that mean that you don't drink at all? Do you have drinks
• 6:35
  and moderation? Where do you are you? Do you do a little THHC
• 6:41
  gummy? Like me? At night? Like where are you at? I've
• 6:45
  tried fifty million different things to sleep because it is hard for me still to
• 6:49
  sleep. But I had a hard time right after the DUI. But I
• 6:55
  started the program about maybe two or three weeks after the do you why so?
• 7:01
  And they're in that program, you can't. They randomly test to for
• 7:05
  drugging the whole time. So I didn't drink then, But so right now,
• 7:11
  I will have a couple of drinks if I go out, or sometimes
• 7:15
  I don't, but I'm not letting it get to a certain point. If
• 7:20
  I find that alcohol is a problem for me, then I will stop.
• 7:27
  But you know, I'm okay, I'm okay, right now. I mean
• 7:30
  again, I have had periods of my life where I've drank a lot,
• 7:33
  a lot, and I did use it to cope, and I know that
• 7:38
  now, so you know, it's very relatable. We all have our coping
• 7:44
  mechanisms, whether you know we discuss them or not. And I really respect
• 7:49
  that you are going to be talking about this on the show. Was there
• 7:53
  ever a point when you were like, I don't want to come back to
• 7:56
  the show. I don't want to talk about this part of my life.
• 7:58
  I want to remove my Yeah, and like, really, yeah, of
• 8:01
  course I don't. Of course I don't like to talk about it. But
• 8:05
  you know what was interesting is brav Bravo was very kind and supportive of and
• 8:11
  they you know what, I wanted me to do whatever I felt most comfortable
• 8:15
  with. And you know, they said, you don't need to go to
• 8:18
  Bravo Kon because that was about six weeks after the DUI, and I said,
• 8:22
  no, I had just finished the thirty Day Program and it was really
• 8:26
  important for me to go there because I wanted to face whatever was coming and
• 8:33
  I knew that if I want to be completely honest, transparent, my case
• 8:37
  was wrapped up in a bow. We you know, we we uh settled.
• 8:41
  You know, I got my punishment and all that right the day before
• 8:46
  Bravo Kon and so it was I knew that if I faced everything that I
• 8:52
  would come out stronger, and I think I did. I wasn't looking forward
• 8:56
  to it, but but I did. I got you sure did. Do

  you feel like this was more of a was this like your rock bottom moment
• 9:03
  in life? As some people say that, I know it's it may be
• 9:07
  a cliche thing to say, but like we saw what you went through with
• 9:11
  David, you know, and that was just awful. Yeah. I think
• 9:16
  I think it absolutely was my rock bottom moment because you know, it's not
• 9:22
  it's not what I want to be remembered for at all, and it's you
• 9:28
  know, it's it's humiliating. I humiliated myself and so it's hard enough to
• 9:33
  go through on your own, but then to do it publicly, you know
• 9:39
  it. You know, my attorney said, he said, you know,
• 9:41
  maybe the press won't pick it up. That was the day after at the
• 9:46
  Dui, and then that was a Sunday, and then Monday morning at seven
• 9:50
  thirty, TMZ came out with a story. You know, so and like,
• 9:54
  now it's going to get out there and you know what, so be
• 9:58
  it. Like I mean, I'm god love your attorney, but he doesn't
• 10:00
  know the housewives. Did any housewives reach out to you who have been in
• 10:07
  a similar situation? My cast all reached out to me, and pretty much
• 10:15
  everyone reached out And I asked them too, because at that point I couldn't
• 10:18
  comment on anything because it was ongoing, So I just said, please don't
• 10:22
  don't talk about it. If I'd appreciate that. But yeah, I even
• 10:30
  to this day, I have really maintained a small circle around me. I
• 10:37
  you know, and I go to like my four or five neighborhood restaurants.
• 10:41
  I go to a big party. I don't like to go to big parties.
• 10:43
  I've been to a couple, but I don't like to go to the
• 10:48
  hip, big trendy restaurants and all that kind of thing. I just kind
• 10:50
  of kept to myself. But I'll tell you, Vicky go Wilsen was the
• 10:56
  gal that was there for me from I get tearat when I think about it.

  She was there for me right away, like was there that next day,
• 11:05
  and then I was very injured after the after the accident, so she
• 11:13
  and the paparazzi was staked out. I was actually staying at her boyfriend's place
• 11:16
  because I hadn't found a place to move, and so she she had me
• 11:20
  go stay at her house. So she just took care of me. You
• 11:22
  know. It was yeah, yeah, she's just you know, was I
• 11:28
  really it's when things like this happen, you know who your true friends are.
• 11:33
  And I mean she just it was she exceeded those expectations. Yes,
• 11:39
  oh my gosh, you're getting so choked up. I know. I remember
• 11:43
  hearing that you were with her, and you know, people speculating about how
• 11:48
  you know, she was being there for you and she was the one that
• 11:52
  was closest to you. And and I applaud your relationship because you know,
• 11:56
  oftentimes on these reality shows, the friendships aren't necessarily real. And what's amazing

  it has transcended from just a show and friendships on the show to you guys
• 12:07
  really have a very deep bond. Oh we do. She was just here
• 12:13
  on Memorial Day for dinner, so you know, and with her boyfriend.
• 12:16
  So we we do spend a lot. Well, we have a show now,
• 12:18
  Yes, your show, Shannon. It Live with Shannon and Vickie,

  I can't believe how many shows you guys have done, you've gone on.

  I mean, this last tour was like you did what tens seven cities are

  like? There was a lot. Yeah, and it was so much fun.

  And Doug Gowden is the host, so I know it's just NonStop laughter,

  I mean love. I mean, we love Doug so much and he's
• 12:41
  so perfect to do that too. It's so great. So you guys did

  a whole round of shows. Is that going to be featured a little bit

  on the season do you think? Because you do? Okay, Oh,

  that'll be fun. And we're working on new dates right now. So great.

  just feel like every year Tamar has an issue with me, you know,

  I'm either not doing something or doing or doing something, and you know,

  and then in the end we make up and we move on, and it's

  just this rollercoaster. Never was like that's how you guys are. No,

  it's not how. I don't like to argue with people, so anyways,

  but yeah, it's a lot. It's a lot, and you'll see it

  this seasons. Can't believe you guys are like filming with each other season eighteen.

  This whole thing that happened with Jennifer and her fiance Ryan and the gambling

  scandal. You guys were wrapped when that all broke. Did you guys pick

  up Did they pick up cameras to film that? That was the rumor out

  there? Yeah. Yeah, and I think all the girls posted. I

  didn't film because I was at Sophie's graduation. Yeah, I think they did

  film. Yeah, So you know, I mean, I've talked to and

  I reached out as soon as I heard, and she's okay, she's good.

  You know, she's still going to get married to him. I yeah,

  from what I oh, yes, And you know, they have a

  good relationship. And I understand that certain people don't like him or don't like

  their relationship. But at this point they've been together for over three years,

  so something's got to be working, you know. Well, I mean those

  jackets that he wears are working for her, so I mean I'm happy for

  them about Look, I mean, I love a nice like eighties and early

  nineties throwback, but when it's ironic, he seems to be doing it for

  real. But I look, I'm excited this season to me, which we're

  waiting on the trailer and everyone's like hello, hello, and the air date,

  but Shannon storms like end period dot there. Because the storm is a
• 15:26
  common for this season. It feels like and you are in the eye of

  it. You are, you are the storm, and I can't, like,

  I feel like you're being attacked from every single angle. And when I

  tell you I found out that well the name that shall not be mentioned,

  kind of like a Voldemort was going to be filming on this show, I

  pretty much lost my mind for you. Oh thank you. I mean it

  was you mean, it's a lot, it was a lot. It was

  a lot for me, you know. And again I am I am fine

  with my relationship with John being over. I don't Oh yeah, that was

  thing for us for to happen for us, so he can date whoever he

  mean he could have dated anybody, anyone. He's a private person, amy

  at all. People are calling him the next Slade, although to Slade's credit,

  he's been married to Gretchen for many, many years, so they're still

  together. You know. No, he's doing red carpet interviews at oscar parties.

  Yeah, I'm sure that Alexis is coming on the show because she just happens

  to just be around and available, and probably they were sitting her story along,

  like, we were out to dinner last night. We see each other one

  or two times a week, and we had our first dinner at Gulf Stream

  any past O c housewife on next season to be a housewife or a friend

  of who would you choose and why? And he has a little parenthetical here

  would say, I mean, I really loved having Taylor I'm strong on the

  show. She's so much fun. I got to be really close with her,

  and so I'd love to see her come back. And I met her

  a few times. I think I did watch What Happens Life with her,

  but I'd say, I'd say, Gretchen, oh my gosh, that's great.

  Wow, I love it. Yeah, I was bummed that Taylor wasn't

  going to come back. Yeah, I know, yeah she was. I

  thought she was great. I did too. That really surprised me. That

  one got me, like, I thought, you know what, she didn't.

  She wasn't trying too hard. She was being very organic, and I

  felt that that was a service to the franchise and that that would pay off

  because we all know her, you know, we already kind of know her.

  And and Adeline, one of my twins goes to school in New York City

  as well, so I'll have two daughters in the city. Well you begetting

  I mean I love that they're there. And then Stelle uh went to Paris
