SPEAKER_05: If you tell me Jesus' mother was a prostitute, I'll say, aha, I can believe that.
0:06
SPEAKER_01: You don't believe the Abrahamic religion story of Christian Adam and Eve?
0:12
SPEAKER_01: No.
0:12
SPEAKER_05: So I believe we are the product of aliens who came from another planet.
0:18
SPEAKER_05: Pigs are our closest relatives.
0:20
SPEAKER_05: Have you ever looked at a pig's picture?
0:23
SPEAKER_05: How come Egyptian queens have Akan names?
0:26
SPEAKER_05: What is the first lie we are taught when we go to school in Ghana?
0:29
SPEAKER_05: One plus one is two.
0:30
SPEAKER_05: One plus one is not two.
0:31
SPEAKER_05: So we think education protects information.
0:35
SPEAKER_05: It doesn't.
0:35
SPEAKER_05: There's nothing that says written down history is safer than oral history at all.
0:40
SPEAKER_05: And also, we as Africans, the reason why we adopted oral history is because the barbarians kept burning our library.
0:49
SPEAKER_01: Before we jump into the conversation, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting and deciding to watch this episode.
0:57
SPEAKER_01: But now I have a favor: subscribe to the channel.
1:01
SPEAKER_01: Subscribing to the channel helps me and the entire mastermind team to continue bringing you wonderful conversations and episodes that bring you closer to being the mastermind you deserve to be.
1:13
SPEAKER_01: So join the community.
1:34
SPEAKER_05: Because he was fascinated by dinosaurs.
1:36
SPEAKER_05: Even till today, he can mention like hundred dinosaurs.
1:38
SPEAKER_05: I don't even know more than three or four.
1:40
SPEAKER_05: Triceratops, diplodocus, Tyrannosaurus Rex.
1:44
SPEAKER_05: That's the one you mentioned.
1:45
SPEAKER_05: Diplodocus, that's the biggest one.
1:47
SPEAKER_01: I've never heard of that before.
1:48
SPEAKER_01: And I love dinosaurs.
1:50
SPEAKER_05: So anyway, and then he said, Ah, so Daddy, if we evolve from monkeys, why are them how how come the monkeys are still here?
1:59
SPEAKER_05: You see, only a child has this kind of logic.
2:03
SPEAKER_05: Right?
2:04
SPEAKER_05: And it actually doesn't make sense.
2:06
SPEAKER_05: Do you know who our closest relatives are?
2:08
SPEAKER_02: The chimps.
2:09
SPEAKER_05: No, pigs.
2:10
SPEAKER_02: Really?
2:11
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
2:11
SPEAKER_05: Google a pig's eye.
2:13
SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
2:13
SPEAKER_01: The pig, but I mean, but a chip.
2:15
SPEAKER_01: They used to make films.
2:16
SPEAKER_05: Every time in a movie you saw them stab someone's eye.
2:19
SPEAKER_05: It was a pig's eye.
2:20
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
2:20
SPEAKER_05: In Africa, what color are the pigs?
2:22
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, pink is.
2:23
SPEAKER_05: No, no, no.
2:24
SPEAKER_05: Those are imported pigs.
2:25
SPEAKER_05: The local pigs are black.
2:26
SPEAKER_02: Oh, really?
2:27
SPEAKER_05: In India, the pigs are brown.
2:30
SPEAKER_05: In Europe, the pigs are pink.
2:31
SPEAKER_05: In South America, the pigs are brown.
2:33
SPEAKER_05: In North America, the pigs are brown.
2:35
SPEAKER_05: Interesting.
2:35
SPEAKER_05: The color of the local pigs tells you the colour of the indigenous people.
2:40
SPEAKER_05: So on every continent, the pigs are the same color as the Indian.
2:43
SPEAKER_01: I never thought about this.
2:44
SPEAKER_05: Okay.
2:45
SPEAKER_05: You are saying chimps are our closest relatives.
2:48
SPEAKER_05: Can you replace a human heart with a chimpanzee heart?
2:50
SPEAKER_01: No, but I can actually replace human parts with some pig parts.
2:54
SPEAKER_05: Almost all of them.
2:56
SPEAKER_05: Pig blood, right?
2:59
SPEAKER_05: Human beings, we have AO, OA, all these different A plus, resus, negative, this, that.
3:06
SPEAKER_05: Pig blood will universal.
3:08
SPEAKER_01: I need to go do some research into pigs and humans.
3:11
SPEAKER_05: So pigs are our closest relatives.
3:13
SPEAKER_05: You see, how do they measure similarity?
3:15
SPEAKER_05: They'll say the DNA between chimpanzees and human beings is this, that.
3:20
SPEAKER_05: It depends on what you measure.
3:22
SPEAKER_05: What are the indicators?
3:23
SPEAKER_05: What are the markers that you measure?
3:25
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
3:25
SPEAKER_05: But the most obvious one is organs.
3:29
SPEAKER_05: If a human being will not reject a pig's heart, it tells you pigs are similar to us.
3:37
SPEAKER_05: Have you ever looked at a pig's feet?
3:38
SPEAKER_05: It's like this.
3:40
SPEAKER_01: Let me Google a pig's feet.
3:41
SPEAKER_01: See, isn't this a pig's foot?
3:43
SPEAKER_01: Let me search this.
3:45
SPEAKER_01: This is the first time I'm thinking deep.
3:46
SPEAKER_01: No, you don't eat trottess.
3:48
SPEAKER_05: Look when I'm eating, I don't have time to watch.
3:51
SPEAKER_05: Oh my god.
3:52
SPEAKER_05: Pigs are our closest relatives.
3:54
SPEAKER_05: A pig's foot is like this.
3:56
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
3:56
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
3:57
SPEAKER_05: And the thumb is still there.
3:59
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
3:59
SPEAKER_05: The little finger is there.
4:01
SPEAKER_05: So, and what is this?
4:04
SPEAKER_05: This is a pig's face.
4:05
SPEAKER_01: No, but honestly speaking, pigs have the same teeth.
4:08
SPEAKER_01: You have to put this up on the screen because a pig's foot looks just like a hand.
4:13
SPEAKER_05: Pig, look at pig's teeth.
4:14
SPEAKER_05: Pigs have exactly the same teeth as human beings.
4:16
SPEAKER_05: They have uh incisors, uh canines, molars.
4:21
SPEAKER_05: Pigs are omnivorous like human beings.
4:25
SPEAKER_01: Pigs like food plenty, just like human beings.
4:29
SPEAKER_01: True.
4:29
SPEAKER_01: Look at the teeth.
4:31
SPEAKER_05: Look at pig skin.
4:32
SPEAKER_05: Look at the amount of hair they have on their bodies.
4:34
SPEAKER_01: The skin is actually so similar to ours.
4:36
SPEAKER_05: Pigs are our closest relatives, but because of this bullshit theory of evolution, they have made it seem like monkeys are our closest relatives.
4:45
SPEAKER_05: It's a complete lie.
4:46
SPEAKER_01: So, right now, you don't believe the Abrahamic religion story of Christ and Adam and Eve.
4:53
SPEAKER_01: You don't believe the scientific one.
4:55
SPEAKER_01: I don't believe Jesus' mother was a virgin either.
4:57
SPEAKER_01: You don't believe Jesus' mother.
4:59
SPEAKER_05: If you tell me Jesus' mother was a prostitute, I'll say, uh-I can believe that.
5:03
SPEAKER_05: Because a prostitute can give birth, but a virgin cannot.
5:05
SPEAKER_01: Because in science, we've never seen that before.
5:08
SPEAKER_05: Let's look at the history of human beings and prophets.
5:12
SPEAKER_05: Where does the prophet come from?
5:15
SPEAKER_05: The prophet always comes from the ghetto, right?
5:18
SPEAKER_05: I I don't believe.
5:20
SPEAKER_05: And if I do believe that Jesus' mother was a virgin, then I am cursed.
5:28
SPEAKER_01: Why?
5:29
SPEAKER_05: Because I cannot be like Jesus unless my mother is a virgin.
5:32
SPEAKER_05: And I know my mother is not a virgin.
5:34
SPEAKER_05: So you ask me, where is morality without religion?
5:38
SPEAKER_05: It's far superior.
5:40
SPEAKER_05: Now, I will believe I can be the best.
5:44
SPEAKER_05: My goal as a human being, right?
5:48
SPEAKER_05: Ideally, I want to be the best human being the world has ever seen.
5:51
SPEAKER_05: I want to be the most loving, the most affectionate, the most kind.
5:55
SPEAKER_05: That should be my goal.
5:57
SPEAKER_05: But the Bible is telling me that I can't do that unless my mother is a virgin.
6:01
SPEAKER_05: Furthermore, if I do that, I will die.
6:04
SPEAKER_01: And I even think the whole um the whole thing that Jesus had to have come from a virgin sort of demonizes sex.
6:12
SPEAKER_05: And demonizes all of us who are the products of sex.
6:14
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
6:15
SPEAKER_05: Everybody you know is the product of sex.
6:17
SPEAKER_05: So we are all and and furthermore, you ask me about morality and religion.
6:22
SPEAKER_05: It says we are we are born sinners.
6:24
SPEAKER_05: I'm not born a sinner.
6:26
SPEAKER_05: So that's why another reason why I rejected the Bible is because you say we are born sinners.
6:30
SPEAKER_05: I knew I wasn't born a sinner.
6:32
SPEAKER_05: I'm not a sinner.
6:32
SPEAKER_01: I'm born sinners because of Adam and Eve.
6:35
SPEAKER_01: Who are they?
6:36
SPEAKER_05: But how is it that you're telling me I born my Pekin and my Peking is a sinner?
6:41
SPEAKER_05: Come on, what kind of why?
6:42
SPEAKER_05: How is it?
6:44
SPEAKER_01: How is it that we are supposed to forgive anyone who sins against us 77 times, seven times?
6:52
SPEAKER_01: But God can't forgive Adam and Eve for something that they did, and you know, thousands of years later, we are still born.
7:01
SPEAKER_05: That was why I showed you the human sperm.
7:03
SPEAKER_05: What did Eve consume?
7:05
SPEAKER_05: Eve consumed the sperm that led to.
7:10
SPEAKER_05: So that's why they always call the first woman Eve, right?
7:13
SPEAKER_05: So I believe we are the product of aliens who came from another planet, and they created us by putting human sperm.
7:26
SPEAKER_05: It's just like experiments.
7:28
SPEAKER_05: Look at us today.
7:29
SPEAKER_05: We are doing genetic modification, we are putting carrot genes into chicken, or we are putting cockroach jeans into beans.
7:38
SPEAKER_01: You know, I was amazed to find that lemon is not a natural fruit.
7:42
SPEAKER_01: No, like when they say when life gives you lemons, life never gave us lemons.
7:46
SPEAKER_00: Like human beings created lemons.
7:49
SPEAKER_00: Bananas.
7:49
SPEAKER_00: Have you ever seen a real banana?
7:50
SPEAKER_01: I was amazed when I saw a real banana, and I was amazed when I saw real corn.
7:55
SPEAKER_01: Like most of the things that we call natural is human beings invented.
7:59
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
8:00
SPEAKER_05: Or hybridized by human beings.
8:01
SPEAKER_05: Yes, right?
8:02
SPEAKER_05: So what we consider to be natural is evolving constantly.
8:06
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
8:06
SPEAKER_05: Right?
8:07
SPEAKER_05: So, where did we come from?
8:09
SPEAKER_05: Do I believe in creation?
8:11
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
8:12
SPEAKER_01: See, there are millions and billions of you drop some you drop some facts there that you have to go deeper into.
8:20
SPEAKER_01: You can't just gloss over it like that.
8:22
SPEAKER_01: When you say you believe we were made by aliens, can you go deeper into that?
8:27
SPEAKER_05: Well, every culture has a story in history of it can be you know giants, chariots of fire.
8:45
SPEAKER_05: Right?
8:46
SPEAKER_05: The pyramids.
8:49
SPEAKER_05: It's obviously at some point in our past, we had a civilization far more advanced than what we have today.
8:57
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, there are buildings in the world that we cannot build.
9:01
SPEAKER_05: The accuracy of the pyramids, you know, Ghanaian contractor can't even make the two walls of your living room straight.
9:08
SPEAKER_05: And yet it's the same.
9:10
SPEAKER_05: So, okay, so I believe in the great flood.
9:14
SPEAKER_05: A great flood occurred 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, something like that, thousand years ago.
9:20
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
9:21
SPEAKER_05: The evidence is there.
9:24
SPEAKER_05: Ebonoa was there.
9:28
SPEAKER_00: Ebonoir is 16,000 years old.
9:32
SPEAKER_05: So there was a great flood.
9:34
SPEAKER_05: When there is a great flood, who will survive?
9:38
SPEAKER_05: The people who will survive are the people who in Africa, right?
9:43
SPEAKER_05: Because Africa is the biggest continent, right?
9:46
SPEAKER_05: And it rises up.
9:48
SPEAKER_05: So the people who are the top of Mount Cameroon, they will survive.
9:52
SPEAKER_05: The people who are in Lake Victoria will survive.
9:55
SPEAKER_05: By the water time the water runs rushes from the ocean all the way to climb.
9:59
SPEAKER_05: You know, Lake Victoria is thousands of feet above sea level.
10:04
SPEAKER_05: So when the water subsided, civilization started again from scratch.
10:10
SPEAKER_05: And at some point five, six, seven, eight, ten thousand years ago, my ancestors migrated from Lake Victoria.
10:19
SPEAKER_05: They followed the Nile all the way until they got to Sudan, Kush, Egypt.
10:25
SPEAKER_05: And they discovered this ancient civilization.
10:29
SPEAKER_05: And from that ancient civilization, they learned a lot of things by reverse engineering.
10:35
SPEAKER_05: Right?
10:36
SPEAKER_05: See, look at the father of medicine, Hippocrates, right?
10:41
SPEAKER_05: Do you know what the symbol of medicine is?
10:42
SPEAKER_05: It's two snakes.
10:44
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
10:44
SPEAKER_05: Right?
10:45
SPEAKER_05: What are those two two snakes?
10:47
SPEAKER_05: It's DNA.
10:49
SPEAKER_05: Right?
10:50
SPEAKER_05: So Hippocrates was taught medicine by Egyptians or Israelites, right?
10:58
SPEAKER_05: Who understood.
10:59
SPEAKER_05: They knew what DNA was.
11:01
SPEAKER_05: But Hippocrates only did 12 years of a 33-year course.
11:05
SPEAKER_05: So after 12 years, of course, you haven't learned about DNA yet.
11:09
SPEAKER_05: But you know that these two these coiling things is the magic symbol of medicine.
11:13
SPEAKER_05: So he assumed it was two snakes because Tally, his thinking, his level of I mean, he was coming from he was a barbarian from Greece, right?
11:21
SPEAKER_05: That was the limit of his understanding.
11:23
SPEAKER_05: However, many things happen in Ghana that make you realize we come from a culture that understood DNA.
11:30
SPEAKER_05: If you go to a Juju man, I want to juju uh Richie, you say, bring me his beer his hair, bring me his fingernails, bring me his handkerchief.
11:41
SPEAKER_01: And all that is DNA.
11:43
SPEAKER_05: All those are sources of DNA.
11:45
SPEAKER_05: One single hair.
11:46
SPEAKER_05: So in Ghana, we have a tradition.
11:48
SPEAKER_05: If you go to the barber and you cut your hair, you should carry your hair home.
11:51
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, or the girls who use it to juju.
11:54
SPEAKER_05: The same, your fingernails.
11:56
SPEAKER_05: When you cut your fingernails, go and throw them away.
11:58
SPEAKER_05: Don't leave your fingernails where somebody can.
12:01
SPEAKER_05: So our culture was very, very aware of the richest sources of DNA: handkerchief, fingernails, hair.
12:11
SPEAKER_05: Now uh CSI Miami has come.
12:14
SPEAKER_05: Everybody understands DNA.
12:16
SPEAKER_05: But our traditional culture has understood DNA for centuries.
12:20
SPEAKER_05: It's okay, we haven't understood it.
12:22
SPEAKER_05: We have continued the ritual, but the knowledge got lost.
12:26
SPEAKER_05: So somewhere between Egypt, Timbuktu, and Amanukrum, where I come from, because my family migrate migrated from Misrim, Masri.
12:37
SPEAKER_05: Egyptians call their country Masri.
12:39
SPEAKER_05: Okay.
12:39
SPEAKER_05: We call where we can come from Misrim.
12:41
SPEAKER_05: Right?
12:42
SPEAKER_05: It's Masri.
12:43
SPEAKER_05: Misra, Masri.
12:44
SPEAKER_05: Right?
12:45
SPEAKER_05: It's the Europeans who call it Egypt.
12:46
SPEAKER_05: The indigenous people call their country the same thing that we call their country.
12:50
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
12:51
unknown: Right?
12:52
SPEAKER_05: Masri.
12:53
SPEAKER_05: Masri, yes.
12:54
SPEAKER_05: Spell it for me.
12:55
SPEAKER_05: M-A-S-R-I.
12:57
SPEAKER_05: Is the name Egyptians call their own country or Misra.
13:02
SPEAKER_03: Interesting.
13:03
SPEAKER_05: So we call Egypt by its true name.
13:07
SPEAKER_05: And Israel is Egypt.
13:11
SPEAKER_01: Everyone's biggest aim is to build wealth.
13:14
SPEAKER_01: Now, anyone who knows what they are about will tell you the one true way to build wealth is to have a system that gains that wealth over time.
13:22
SPEAKER_01: Now, most people are suffering to what system or what tool can they use?
13:27
SPEAKER_01: How did they get to invest easily?
13:29
SPEAKER_01: How do they get to invest over time?
13:31
SPEAKER_01: Small amounts, compound interest, and build their wealth.
13:35
SPEAKER_01: Well, that tool is achieved by Petra.
13:38
SPEAKER_01: Download Achieve by Petra now and let's build wealth together.
13:42
SPEAKER_05: Misrim is where the word Israel comes from.
13:45
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
13:46
SPEAKER_01: So you feel Israelites are the Egyptians?
13:50
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
13:54
SPEAKER_05: At some point.
13:56
SPEAKER_05: But then the Israelites left Egypt, led by who?
13:59
SPEAKER_05: Moses.
14:03
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
14:04
SPEAKER_05: So Musa left Egypt, crossed the what is the Red Sea?
14:08
SPEAKER_05: Is the Nile.
14:09
SPEAKER_05: Let's go to Chadu.
14:11
SPEAKER_05: See these rivers which were flooding, right?
14:13
SPEAKER_05: No.
14:14
SPEAKER_05: In the dry season, you can walk across many of them.
14:16
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
14:17
SPEAKER_05: Many of these rivers which flood and sweep cars and things away.
14:22
SPEAKER_05: In the dry season, you can walk across them.
14:24
SPEAKER_05: Me, I grew up in Bemmer Camp.
14:25
SPEAKER_05: There's a part of Chadwick.
14:26
SPEAKER_05: It's called River Jordan.
14:27
SPEAKER_05: That's why when people went to build there, it's like, ah, Ghana Fordia Yabodamo.
14:31
SPEAKER_05: Because this place has been called River Jordan since I was five years old.
14:35
SPEAKER_05: Or at least seven or eight years old.
14:36
SPEAKER_05: Because we used to ride there on horses, ride there on bicycles.
14:39
SPEAKER_05: When you get there, it's River Jordan.
14:41
SPEAKER_05: In the dry season, we could wade, walk across those rivers.
14:45
SPEAKER_05: In the rainy season, try to sweep you all the way to the Quishilagoo.
14:49
SPEAKER_05: So the Nile River was like that before the Aswan Dam was built.
14:54
SPEAKER_05: So what did Musa do?
14:57
SPEAKER_05: The ancient Egyptians knew the seasons very well.
15:02
SPEAKER_05: So Musa just took his people, crossed the Nile, and then the floodwater started rising.
15:09
SPEAKER_05: Because those flood waters are coming from thousands and thousands of miles away.
15:13
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
15:13
SPEAKER_05: Right?
15:14
SPEAKER_05: Because there's no rain.
15:14
SPEAKER_05: Egypt, yeah, the only water is the Nile.
15:17
SPEAKER_05: You've got to go down past, even Sudan cry is dry.
15:20
SPEAKER_05: You've got to go southern Sudan, you've got to go Uganda, Tanzania.
15:23
SPEAKER_05: That's where the water in the Nile comes from.
15:25
SPEAKER_05: So Musa knew.
15:26
SPEAKER_05: So he crossed the river, the water level started rising.
15:30
SPEAKER_05: The enemies tried to chase them, but they couldn't cross the river anymore because it's the seasonal, you know, the Nile used to flood its banks every year.
15:38
SPEAKER_05: We learned that in primary school.
15:40
SPEAKER_05: And then they were in the desert for 40 years.
15:43
SPEAKER_05: That is, I mean, those numbers are just mythical.
15:45
SPEAKER_05: But Musa led his people from Misrim, Misrahim, the Ga people say they come from Israel.
15:51
SPEAKER_05: They are, it's true.
15:52
SPEAKER_05: When Ga people say they are from Israel, then people laugh.
15:56
SPEAKER_05: But it's the fact.
15:57
SPEAKER_05: So from Israel, today called Egypt, to Timbuktu, the world's knowledge and information was in Egypt.
16:07
SPEAKER_01: From the University of Timbuktu.
16:08
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
16:09
SPEAKER_05: How did the knowledge get from Egypt to Timbuktu unless the people took it there?
16:13
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
16:13
SPEAKER_05: Right?
16:14
SPEAKER_01: Because from Alexandria and then to what do you call the University of Timbuktu?
16:19
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
16:19
SPEAKER_05: But why did they leave Alexandria?
16:21
SPEAKER_05: Because the barbarians kept coming to burn the libraries.
16:23
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
16:24
SPEAKER_05: So they went to the most remote place that they knew.
16:27
SPEAKER_05: And also they went to the richest place that they knew.
16:30
SPEAKER_05: If you look in the pyramids in Egypt, it's full of gold.
16:33
SPEAKER_05: There's no gold in Egypt.
16:34
SPEAKER_05: There's no gold in Jordan.
16:36
SPEAKER_05: There's no gold in Lebanon.
16:37
SPEAKER_05: There's no gold in Israel.
16:39
SPEAKER_05: There's no gold in Palestine.
16:40
SPEAKER_05: There's no gold in Saudi Arabia.
16:41
SPEAKER_05: There's no gold in Libya.
16:43
SPEAKER_05: So where did the Egyptians get their gold from?
16:45
SPEAKER_05: They got their gold from Mali.
16:47
SPEAKER_05: King Solomon's mines is in Mali.
16:51
SPEAKER_05: Right?
16:52
SPEAKER_05: So between Egypt and Mali.
16:55
SPEAKER_01: When you say Mali, do you mean the Mali Empire?
16:57
SPEAKER_05: I mean the Mali of today.
16:58
SPEAKER_05: Timbuktu is in Mali.
16:59
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
17:00
SPEAKER_05: So it's not, it's what they call, and where did Moses take his people?
17:04
SPEAKER_05: Ghana.
17:05
SPEAKER_05: Right?
17:06
SPEAKER_05: Canaan.
17:07
SPEAKER_05: They say the Ghana Empire.
17:09
SPEAKER_05: Old Ghana.
17:10
SPEAKER_05: It's not old Ghana.
17:11
SPEAKER_05: It was called Ghana.
17:12
SPEAKER_05: Ghana as in Canaan.
17:14
SPEAKER_05: So we have now said, oh, we are the new Ghana.
17:17
SPEAKER_05: So that is old Ghana.
17:18
SPEAKER_05: But that place was never called Ghana.
17:20
SPEAKER_05: It was called Ghana.
17:21
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
17:22
SPEAKER_05: And who is the most the most famous richest man in history?
17:25
SPEAKER_05: What is his name?
17:26
SPEAKER_05: Mansa Musa.
17:28
SPEAKER_05: Is he not the descendant of the Musa who brought us from Egypt?
17:31
SPEAKER_05: What did he do?
17:31
SPEAKER_05: He went back to Egypt.
17:34
SPEAKER_05: So Musa and his older brother, who is called Abu Bakr.
17:41
SPEAKER_05: They they so Abu Bakr was the king.
17:44
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
17:44
SPEAKER_05: He abdicated.
17:47
SPEAKER_05: He went to South America.
17:48
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
17:49
SPEAKER_05: Where he knew we also had uh ancestors or family.
17:54
SPEAKER_05: And Musa went back to Egypt.
17:57
SPEAKER_05: And what did he take?
17:58
SPEAKER_05: He took the thing to Egypt that he knew they did not have.
18:01
SPEAKER_05: Because Egypt never had gold.
18:03
SPEAKER_05: They talk about him taking gold to Mecca.
18:07
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
18:08
SPEAKER_05: Sure, he took a tiny amount of gold to Mecca and said, Charlie, you people, you keep coming to harass us for gold.
18:14
SPEAKER_05: I've brought you gold.
18:15
SPEAKER_05: Now leave us alone.
18:16
SPEAKER_05: Right?
18:17
SPEAKER_05: But the opposite happened.
18:19
SPEAKER_05: It's like if these guys have so much gold that they can come and dash us gold, then let's go and take more.
18:24
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
18:24
SPEAKER_05: Which is the mentality of a greedy and a religious person.
18:29
SPEAKER_05: Somebody dissatisfied.
18:30
SPEAKER_05: You see, religion makes you dissatisfied with what you have.
18:34
SPEAKER_05: You want more, you want more, you want more.
18:37
SPEAKER_05: If you are spiritual, you are content.
18:40
SPEAKER_05: And what is more important?
18:43
SPEAKER_05: Being happy, being content with your own life, or being envious of someone else.
18:49
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
18:50
SPEAKER_05: So it's mansa kankam.
18:52
SPEAKER_05: Okay, what does mansa mean?
18:54
SPEAKER_05: Mansa just mean means king.
18:56
SPEAKER_05: Kankam is a popular akan name.
19:01
SPEAKER_05: Right?
19:01
SPEAKER_05: We have kings in Ashanti Kings called Kankam.
19:05
SPEAKER_05: So you know Kankam, that is where we me, my grandmother could mention 33 generations.
19:11
SPEAKER_05: I was a 33rd generation.
19:13
SPEAKER_02: Really?
19:13
SPEAKER_05: Since my family left Tumutu.
19:15
SPEAKER_05: They don't call it Timbuktu.
19:17
SPEAKER_05: Tumutu.
19:18
SPEAKER_05: So from Tumutu to Bono, I think that was 11 or 12 generations.
19:23
SPEAKER_05: And then from Bono to uh we migrated with the Achims.
19:31
SPEAKER_05: And then my family settled in a Manochrome.
19:35
SPEAKER_05: So my father and I calculated that that 33 generations is approximately 7 to 800 years.
19:42
SPEAKER_05: So 7 to 800 years ago, my family was in Tumutu.
19:47
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
19:47
SPEAKER_05: And because my grandmother was a queen mother, she would only mention women's names.
19:51
SPEAKER_05: So it's like uh just for example, Nanasewa Owo Neba, no wafreno, yanka, uh uh, and a ya yanka atechi owo neba yeafrano ama dokuno, right?
20:08
SPEAKER_05: The only time they will mention a man is if the daughter of Abnitechi, sorry, if the son of Abnitechi became a king, became an Ochiami, okay, or became something.
20:25
SPEAKER_05: If not, because in the Akhan tradition, there's a whole, there's a group of queen mothers, any of them's children can become.
20:31
SPEAKER_05: So that was the only time men were mentioned in a story.
20:33
SPEAKER_05: Apart from that, it's from mother to daughter to mother to daughter, to mother to daughter, to mother to daughter, to mother to daughter, to my grandmother, who was called Yankwa, to my father to me.
20:44
SPEAKER_05: Because unfortunately for my grandmother, she didn't have a daughter.
20:47
SPEAKER_05: So that means that's the end of her lineage because it can't pass through my father.
20:54
SPEAKER_05: Right?
20:55
SPEAKER_05: So 33 generations since we left Tumutu.
20:59
SPEAKER_05: And look at what is the current Asantehine called?
21:05
SPEAKER_05: What is the what is the most famous Egyptian king called?
21:08
SPEAKER_05: The most famous Egyptian king.
21:11
SPEAKER_01: Which I mean, Pharaoh is the name.
21:13
SPEAKER_01: Pharaoh, Pharaoh, yes.
21:14
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, pharaoh is the title.
21:15
SPEAKER_05: Yes, but but which one?
21:17
SPEAKER_01: Is it Ramsay?
21:18
SPEAKER_05: Ramses, yes.
21:19
SPEAKER_05: But who is the one who they found his his bust, the famous, the bust of Tutu?
21:24
SPEAKER_05: Ankamun.
21:25
SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
21:26
SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
21:26
SPEAKER_05: Do you know Tutu is an Akan royal family name?
21:29
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
21:30
SPEAKER_05: So Tutankhamun.
21:32
SPEAKER_05: Tutankhamun is a white man's translation of a name.
21:37
SPEAKER_05: But his name is Tutu.
21:39
SPEAKER_05: So that shows you the kings in Egypt and the Asantehini today are closely related.
21:46
SPEAKER_05: What is the Egyptian word for life?
21:49
SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
21:50
SPEAKER_05: Ankh.
21:50
SPEAKER_05: That symbol.
21:51
SPEAKER_05: Oh, Ank.
21:53
SPEAKER_05: What is the Akan word for life?
21:56
SPEAKER_05: So Ankh even the language is related.
21:59
SPEAKER_05: Ankh was Translated by Europeans.
22:01
SPEAKER_05: The ancient Egyptian language they write without the vowels.
22:04
SPEAKER_05: So if you don't know, you can't understand.
22:06
SPEAKER_05: So if you see N, if a white man sees NKW or NKH, he'll put the vowel in front.
22:16
SPEAKER_05: But if I see NKH or NKW, I know that the vowel can go at the back.
22:21
SPEAKER_04: At the back.
22:22
SPEAKER_05: So the word was never ank, the word was always n kwa.
22:25
SPEAKER_05: So the ancient Egyptian word for life is our still our word for life today.
22:33
SPEAKER_05: Right?
22:34
SPEAKER_05: What do Egyptians call the sun?
22:36
SPEAKER_05: Osiris, right?
22:37
SPEAKER_05: Is the god of the sun.
22:39
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
22:39
SPEAKER_05: What we call the sky.
22:41
SPEAKER_05: Osro.
22:43
SPEAKER_05: Right?
22:44
SPEAKER_05: True.
22:44
SPEAKER_05: So the language hasn't changed over five, six thousand years.
22:50
SPEAKER_05: Right?
22:51
SPEAKER_05: It's we this the language still exists, it's the same.
22:56
SPEAKER_05: Right?
22:57
SPEAKER_05: Look at the beautiful queens from Egypt.
22:59
SPEAKER_05: Who, okay, name the beautiful queens you know.
23:02
SPEAKER_01: I mean, the only popular one I know is Cleopatra.
23:05
SPEAKER_01: Even though Cleopatra wasn't full Egyptian.
23:07
SPEAKER_05: Cleopatra is later.
23:09
SPEAKER_05: By the time of Cleopatra, our ancestors had left.
23:12
SPEAKER_05: Nefertiti.
23:13
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
23:13
SPEAKER_05: Nefetiti is key.
23:15
SPEAKER_05: Nefetiti.
23:17
SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
23:18
SPEAKER_05: There's another famous Egyptian queen called Hunife.
23:21
SPEAKER_05: Hunife.
23:22
SPEAKER_05: Hunife.
23:23
SPEAKER_05: And there's another one called Nefetari.
23:26
SPEAKER_05: Nefetari.
23:28
SPEAKER_05: All the beautiful Egyptian queens have nife, nife, nife in their names.
23:33
SPEAKER_05: Nefetiti.
23:35
SPEAKER_05: Because the name is written without the vowels.
23:38
SPEAKER_05: So if you go and see the word Nefetiti in ancient Egypt, you will just see NfTT.
23:44
SPEAKER_05: You have to guess what vowels go there.
23:46
SPEAKER_05: So either it's Nefatata or right?
23:50
SPEAKER_05: But we know it's Nefetiti.
23:51
SPEAKER_05: Timeless beauty.
23:52
SPEAKER_05: Wunife.
23:54
SPEAKER_05: Nefetare.
23:55
SPEAKER_05: Nefetari.
23:56
SPEAKER_05: They are all Egyptian queens.
23:58
SPEAKER_05: How come Egyptian queens have Akan names?
24:01
SPEAKER_05: That mean what we know them to be.
24:04
SPEAKER_05: We know that they were all beautiful.
24:06
SPEAKER_05: It's part of why Fela sang Ffefe Nefe.
24:09
SPEAKER_05: Because Fela Egypt 80, he was trying to make the connection between.
24:12
SPEAKER_05: So here's our word for beauty, Nefeh.
24:17
SPEAKER_05: Right?
24:17
SPEAKER_05: Because it appears in the names of all the queens who were revered for their beauty.
24:26
SPEAKER_05: It's not a coincidence.
24:27
SPEAKER_05: It's impossible that it's a coincidence.
24:29
SPEAKER_05: I have so much research to do after this combat.
24:32
SPEAKER_05: Where did we come from?
24:33
SPEAKER_05: That's where we came from.
24:35
SPEAKER_05: So when the guys say we come from, so we are the real Israelites.
24:39
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
24:40
SPEAKER_05: Do you know where the word Musa, where is the word Musa most common in the entire world?
24:45
SPEAKER_05: It's here in West Africa.
24:47
SPEAKER_05: And the man who led the Israelites out of Egypt was not called Moses.
24:52
SPEAKER_05: Moses is a is a Jewish translation.
24:57
SPEAKER_05: Or, you know, uh, but his name was Musa.
25:01
SPEAKER_05: Even in Egypt, the mountain where they said Musa went to get the Ten Commandments, it's called Mount Musa.
25:05
SPEAKER_05: It's not called Mount Sinai.
25:07
SPEAKER_05: No, it's not Mount Sinai, no, it's called Mount Musa.
25:10
SPEAKER_05: So his name was Musa.
25:12
SPEAKER_05: And we have kings in Timbuktu called Musa, generation after generation after generation.
25:21
SPEAKER_05: That Musa goes back to Egypt, where his ancestors came from.
25:24
SPEAKER_05: It is so obvious.
25:26
SPEAKER_05: But because of European history, we are rejecting our own history.
25:32
SPEAKER_05: So when a person says we come from Israel, they say, Oh, they are laughing, you people, you are just and Israel.
25:40
SPEAKER_01: But then what about what about Samaria?
25:43
SPEAKER_05: Well, if you look at uh away oral history, it says the beginning was a place called Mu.
25:53
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
25:54
SPEAKER_05: So Mu is east, right?
25:58
SPEAKER_05: So that from Mu we came to what's the so according to the oral airway oral history.
26:05
SPEAKER_05: So from Mu to Mesopotamia, I think from Mesopotamia to Mishraim.
26:11
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
26:11
SPEAKER_05: Right?
26:12
SPEAKER_05: So uh the and the away oral history says that they went as far as England.
26:23
SPEAKER_05: So the word Anglo-Saxon, it may be true.
26:28
SPEAKER_05: Anglo, where is the word Anglo from?
26:31
SPEAKER_05: It's a common airway name, word, Anglo.
26:34
SPEAKER_02: Okay, true.
26:35
SPEAKER_02: Anglo?
26:36
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
26:36
SPEAKER_05: Is there any other word in the English language that is like Anglo Anglican?
26:44
SPEAKER_05: But even this, but Anglo Ang Anglo.
26:47
SPEAKER_05: It's not very common in the English language.
26:49
SPEAKER_05: English language doesn't have those roots.
26:51
SPEAKER_05: So is it obvious that our ancestors traveled far and wide, taking civilization, knowledge.
26:58
SPEAKER_01: But I mean, science has proven the fact that humanity started in Africa.
27:02
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
27:02
SPEAKER_05: So there have been different waves.
27:04
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
27:04
SPEAKER_05: Right?
27:05
SPEAKER_05: So 12,000 years ago, very many people across the entire planet lost their lives.
27:12
SPEAKER_05: So when it's like if you take the Australians, so Ayers Rock, which the Aborigines say is a very spiritual place.
27:20
SPEAKER_05: Why is it?
27:21
SPEAKER_05: It's because Ayers Rock is in the middle, middle, middle of Australia.
27:24
SPEAKER_05: People trying to escape from rising water, they could climb Ayers Rock probably and survive there.
27:30
SPEAKER_04: Okay.
27:31
SPEAKER_05: That is why it is such an important thing to them.
27:34
SPEAKER_05: Why else is it so important?
27:36
SPEAKER_05: Because you the Aborigines, they can they can kind of track a hundred thousand years, right?
27:43
SPEAKER_05: So it means they migrated out of Africa long before the flood.
27:48
SPEAKER_01: So do you believe that the history that we are taught is a lie?
27:52
SPEAKER_05: All history is a lie.
27:55
SPEAKER_05: It's because history keeps changing, right?
28:01
SPEAKER_05: And the person who tells you the history is his perspective.
28:07
SPEAKER_05: Right?
28:08
SPEAKER_05: So it's do you believe we landed on the moon in 1969?
28:14
SPEAKER_01: And made a call.
28:15
SPEAKER_01: And made a call.
28:18
SPEAKER_05: To a landline, right?
28:20
SPEAKER_05: And with no delay, right?
28:23
SPEAKER_05: You and I remember in like the 70s or the 80s, if you call London, there will be a delay of like one second.
28:31
SPEAKER_05: Right?
28:31
SPEAKER_05: And that was the best technology we had in the 80s.
28:34
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
28:34
SPEAKER_05: When you go to Ghana Telecom, in even in the 90s.
28:37
SPEAKER_05: In the 90s, you go to Ghana Telecom, you pay money, you go and form a queue, then you go and call, oh, Talim Patricia sending me kakaka craway.
28:44
SPEAKER_05: Right?
28:44
SPEAKER_05: You go and call somebody in Abrucci.
28:46
SPEAKER_05: There was like a one-second delay.
28:48
SPEAKER_05: That was the best technology we had in the 80s.
28:51
SPEAKER_05: And then you are telling me 30 years beforehand, somebody can have a conversation in real time.
28:57
SPEAKER_05: See, as for the moon, it's not, you see, this is not even conspiracy theory, right?
29:02
SPEAKER_05: I mean, I think the the biggest thing that I watched the moon landing in real time.
29:05
SPEAKER_05: I was two years old.
29:06
SPEAKER_05: I don't, I it was such a huge event.
29:08
SPEAKER_05: It's like Mohammed Ali versus George Foreman.
29:10
SPEAKER_05: I was seven years old.
29:12
SPEAKER_05: It's such a huge event that I remember it.
29:15
SPEAKER_05: You know, it's like almost everybody in the world, no matter what time it was, they were watching these events.
29:20
SPEAKER_05: Right?
29:21
SPEAKER_05: So you can watch the footage later.
29:24
SPEAKER_05: There is a camera taking a picture of the spacecraft taking off.
29:29
SPEAKER_01: When it took off, and on that there was no data transfer where you can say that it's shot on celluloid.
29:36
SPEAKER_05: So how did they and we watched that thing on Earth, right?
29:41
SPEAKER_05: How was that celluloid transferred to digital sent to the Earth when there were no satellite?
29:48
SPEAKER_01: Maybe they left the cameraman behind.
29:50
SPEAKER_05: They left the cameraman behind.
29:51
SPEAKER_01: But even still, how did he get it?
29:52
SPEAKER_05: In real time.
29:53
SPEAKER_05: You were watching the spacecraft take off, right?
29:56
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
29:56
SPEAKER_05: In an era when there was no, there was no digital video.
30:00
SPEAKER_05: Or I mean there was they were using celluloid.
30:02
SPEAKER_05: The moonlighting was shot on celluloid, it's it's taken with steel cameras.
30:05
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
30:06
SPEAKER_05: So how did they watch?
30:07
SPEAKER_05: You know how do you remember how you take your your cameras to the photographer and then we're watching the web protection.
30:13
SPEAKER_01: I've never considered that.
30:14
SPEAKER_01: How did they do it live?
30:16
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
30:16
SPEAKER_05: And who filmed the who filmed the spacecraft landing?
30:20
SPEAKER_01: They filmed the landing and the takeoff.
30:22
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
30:22
SPEAKER_05: So that means there was somebody there waiting for them.
30:24
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
30:25
SPEAKER_01: Right.
30:25
SPEAKER_01: Maybe there was a movement.
30:27
SPEAKER_05: He stayed there after and he stayed behind.
30:29
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
30:29
SPEAKER_05: But somehow the camera that he used to shoot the footage, it's like once the plane took off, he must have thrown it into the air.
30:35
SPEAKER_05: Yes, for them to catch it.
30:37
SPEAKER_05: And then they bring it back to air.
30:39
SPEAKER_01: But that ship was amazing.
30:40
SPEAKER_05: Have you ever seen it in real life?
30:42
SPEAKER_05: No, I haven't.
30:42
SPEAKER_05: I beg when you go to America, right?
30:44
SPEAKER_05: I should go look at it.
30:46
SPEAKER_05: It I swear, it looks like a class two science project.
30:50
SPEAKER_01: It really does.
30:50
SPEAKER_01: I don't even need to see it in real life to see.
30:52
SPEAKER_01: Like when you see the pictures, it really looks like a class two project.
30:55
SPEAKER_05: It's like cardboard and uh aluminium foil.
30:59
SPEAKER_05: It's what it actually looks like.
31:00
SPEAKER_01: But the most amazing thing about it.
31:02
SPEAKER_05: And how did it carry enough fuel, right?
31:04
SPEAKER_05: You've seen these rockets take off.
31:06
SPEAKER_05: How much need to take off?
31:08
SPEAKER_05: When they just need to take a satellite into space.
31:11
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
31:11
SPEAKER_05: Right?
31:12
SPEAKER_05: It's like Chale.
31:13
SPEAKER_05: I've when I lived in Miami, uh in Miami, right?
31:16
SPEAKER_05: Cape Canaveral is not too far away, right?
31:19
SPEAKER_05: So you can drive, and you can drive like maybe some miles when there is a rocket launch.
31:26
SPEAKER_05: Chale, those rockets are like, I'm not kidding, like half a kilometer or almost a kilometer.
31:33
SPEAKER_05: They are huge, unbelievably tall, right?
31:37
SPEAKER_05: And that all that is fuel.
31:39
SPEAKER_05: Because by the time you get into orbit, they've burnt up all that fuel.
31:42
SPEAKER_05: And you can say, okay, the Earth has a much greater gravitational pull than the moon.
31:48
SPEAKER_05: So to take off from the moon, you don't need as much.
31:51
SPEAKER_05: But those guys took off from the moon with no fuel, right?
31:53
SPEAKER_01: And and here's the thing.
31:55
SPEAKER_00: But 60 years later.
31:57
SPEAKER_00: See, we can't go back to the moon.
31:58
SPEAKER_01: But finally we have, but we couldn't land.
32:00
SPEAKER_01: We had to like go around it because landing is a whole different thing.
32:07
SPEAKER_05: Even this one.
32:10
SPEAKER_05: You they have to do a hell of a lot more to convince me that this is not this is not just motrics.
32:16
SPEAKER_05: Right?
32:17
SPEAKER_05: It's you see, and it's very disturbing when you start to understand that you live in a world where lies, you are taught lies.
32:30
SPEAKER_05: Right?
32:31
SPEAKER_05: What is the first lie we are taught when we go to school in Ghana?
32:34
SPEAKER_05: One plus one is two.
32:36
SPEAKER_05: One plus one is not two.
32:37
SPEAKER_05: Me plus my wife is four.
32:39
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
32:40
SPEAKER_05: Right?
32:40
SPEAKER_01: No, it's not like Terrence Howard.
32:42
SPEAKER_01: No, it's so true.
32:44
SPEAKER_05: Me plus my wife, I and my shoddy are one, right?
32:48
SPEAKER_05: So one plus one is one.
32:51
SPEAKER_05: Right?
32:51
SPEAKER_05: So it's like maybe mathematically, with inanimate objects, one plus one is two.
33:00
SPEAKER_05: But as soon as those objects are alive, right, which we are, and almost everything we engage with meaningfully in this life is alive.
33:09
SPEAKER_05: One plus one is equal to two, does not apply.
33:12
SPEAKER_01: I would even say even inanimate objects does not apply because if you take this glass here and you break it down into cells and into you break it down into you know atoms and molecules and all that kind of thing, this cannot even be classified as one.
33:28
SPEAKER_01: And if I'm adding this to this, and you say one plus one is two, is two what exactly?
33:34
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
33:34
SPEAKER_01: So I think what um school does is put everything in a box.
33:39
SPEAKER_05: Why do they teach us one plus one is two?
33:41
SPEAKER_05: Do you know why?
33:42
SPEAKER_05: So that we don't work together.
33:44
SPEAKER_05: Because if I believe one plus one is two, if I work with you, we will achieve two.
33:49
SPEAKER_05: And then we divide it, you end up with one, I end up with one.
33:52
SPEAKER_01: So they might as well work alone and get one.
33:54
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
33:55
SPEAKER_05: But the people who make progress in this world, Igbo's don't believe one plus one is two.
33:59
SPEAKER_05: They believe if we all come together, we pool our money, one plus one is a hundred.
34:04
SPEAKER_05: So if I believe one plus one is ten, of course I'll work with you.
34:07
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
34:08
SPEAKER_05: We work together, we make ten.
34:10
SPEAKER_05: You can cheat me, take seven.
34:11
SPEAKER_05: I will still still end up with three.
34:13
SPEAKER_01: More than if I did one alone.
34:15
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
34:15
SPEAKER_05: So that is why, because Ghanaians are the it's like in all of Africa, we are some of the most book long people.
34:23
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
34:24
SPEAKER_05: We are also some of the least collaborative people in the whole of Africa.
34:27
SPEAKER_01: Because it's trained into us.
34:28
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
34:29
SPEAKER_05: The more book long you become, the less you understand the power of collaboration.
34:33
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
34:34
SPEAKER_05: Right?
34:34
SPEAKER_01: So think about it.
34:35
SPEAKER_01: In school, you are taught that if you work together, like you can't you are cheating.
34:40
SPEAKER_01: You are cheating.
34:41
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
34:41
SPEAKER_01: And then you come into the real world, and the way to get ahead is to work together.
34:45
SPEAKER_01: But you've been made to feel like if I give my colleague a job, do this proposal for me.
34:51
SPEAKER_01: The colleague feels that by doing it alone and presenting it and showing they did it means they are a good employee.
34:58
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
34:58
SPEAKER_01: Whereas, no, collaborate with your colleague and bring me a proposal that's better than if you had done it on your own.
35:05
SPEAKER_05: So the I feel that our education actually does us a great disservice because the most important thing in life is learning how to work together with people.
35:18
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
35:19
SPEAKER_05: Right?
35:20
SPEAKER_05: Is learning how to uh discover new things, not to repeat old things.
35:30
SPEAKER_05: So our education is teaching us to repeat old things as if it's you know law, right?
35:36
SPEAKER_05: But but all knowledge must be questioned, right?
35:39
SPEAKER_01: Is that because right now you've questioned religion, you've questioned science, you've questioned mainstream facts, you've questioned maths.
35:49
SPEAKER_01: That means you have a mind that is ready to question anything.
35:53
SPEAKER_05: And not only question, but uh come to the conclusion that even if one plus one is valid for you, right?
36:06
SPEAKER_05: In order for me to make a change in this world, it is okay for me to not believe one plus one is two.
36:14
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
36:15
SPEAKER_05: That is that is how I have that is where I have a contribution to make to this world that we live in.
36:21
SPEAKER_05: Because one plus one is the accepted norm, but I don't believe it is healthy.
36:26
SPEAKER_05: Even if it were true, it's not a healthy thing to believe, right?
36:30
SPEAKER_01: Look, I've seen Well, yeah, saying there's subjective truth.
36:35
SPEAKER_01: Yes, this is an argument.
36:37
SPEAKER_05: It's not even subjective lies, right?
36:39
SPEAKER_05: That we are taught as absolute truths.
36:41
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
36:42
SPEAKER_05: Look, look at what they teach children in a kindergarten in Germany, right?
36:48
SPEAKER_05: They make them play this game over and over and over again.
36:50
SPEAKER_05: They have these two sticks and then one stick which is quite long.
36:55
SPEAKER_05: So, in order to put this one stick on top of these two sticks, two people must work together.
37:03
SPEAKER_05: So, in the German educational system, they don't teach you A, B, C, D, 1, 2, 3, 4 until you are seven years old.
37:09
SPEAKER_05: Prior to that is kindergarten.
37:11
SPEAKER_05: But what do they teach them?
37:12
SPEAKER_05: They teach them how to get along with each other, they teach them how to collaborate, they teach them how to work together.
37:19
SPEAKER_05: They teach you that this is impossible unless you work with somebody else.
37:24
SPEAKER_05: So that is what they are teaching their children.
37:27
SPEAKER_05: Meanwhile, we are teaching our five-year-old, four-year-old children to compete against each other.
37:33
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
37:33
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
37:34
SPEAKER_01: Like I watched this experiment, they did a school in a school abroad, and it was it was so impressive.
37:40
SPEAKER_01: So, what they did is um they got balloons, helion balloons, and then they had every student write their name on a balloon.
37:48
SPEAKER_01: Then they released all the balloons into the air, and then they told the students, everyone, grab your balloon.
37:55
SPEAKER_01: So now they ran around for 30 minutes trying to find their balloons, and it was chaos.
37:59
SPEAKER_01: No one was able to get their balloon after like 30 minutes.
38:01
SPEAKER_01: Then they said, okay, everybody, stop.
38:03
SPEAKER_01: Now try something.
38:04
SPEAKER_01: Everybody grab the closest balloon and give it to the owner.
38:08
SPEAKER_01: And in five minutes, everybody had their balloon to teach them the lesson that when you work together, the entire community benefits.
38:16
SPEAKER_01: One of the biggest lessons I've learned in life and in business is that not everything deserves access to you.
38:23
SPEAKER_01: Your attention is valuable, your focus is valuable.
38:27
SPEAKER_01: And in this world, full of noise and distraction, the ability to control your world is your true power.
38:35
SPEAKER_01: Lynx Reverb was designed for premium sound, complete silence, and amazing clarity.
38:42
SPEAKER_01: So head to any Compute Ghana shop or to our website, linkselectronics.com, down in the description, and grab yourself a headset now.
38:51
SPEAKER_01: Lynx Reverb, now that's clarity.
38:54
SPEAKER_05: This is this is what we need to be teaching our children.
38:56
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
38:57
SPEAKER_05: You see, when we look at the educational system that the British left for us, right?
39:02
SPEAKER_05: We have to understand that they were trying to oppress us.
39:06
SPEAKER_05: They were trying to extract us.
39:07
SPEAKER_01: I mean, what proof is there that they were trying to oppress us?
39:10
SPEAKER_01: Except the proof that they had oppressed us before.
39:18
SPEAKER_05: Right.
39:19
SPEAKER_05: It's so uh colonization, right, is not in our interest.
39:26
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
39:27
SPEAKER_05: So every system that was created by colonialism ultimately becomes our oppressor.
39:35
SPEAKER_05: Okay.
39:36
SPEAKER_05: Kofi Ganaba said one thing.
39:40
SPEAKER_05: He said that what shows the power of a man, he said to him, Nkrumah is the most powerful man who has ever existed.
39:50
SPEAKER_05: Why?
39:51
SPEAKER_05: Because Nkrumah got Christians and Muslims to unite against him.
39:57
SPEAKER_05: And Nkrumah got America and Russia to unite against him.
40:01
SPEAKER_05: So why did that happen?
40:03
SPEAKER_05: Because Nkrumah said Ghana is a secular nation.
40:06
SPEAKER_05: We must remove religion from education.
40:09
SPEAKER_05: And what we teach in schools must be science-based.
40:13
SPEAKER_05: So our education as a secular nation cannot be based on faith.
40:18
SPEAKER_05: It must be based on science.
40:21
SPEAKER_05: So when our children go to school, all we are going to teach them is what we know to be science today, and we are going to teach them that what we know to be science is constantly changing.
40:33
SPEAKER_05: If you are Christian in your house, teach your children religion at home.
40:36
SPEAKER_05: If you are Muslim, teach them.
40:37
SPEAKER_05: If you are uh traditionalist, if you're animist, whatever you are, religion is a is a private matter.
40:44
SPEAKER_05: It is not a national matter.
40:47
SPEAKER_05: So when Inkruma said, you know, Ghana National Secondary School, the boys who were sacked from either Infansipim or uh Adisadl, you know, they it it all had to do with religion.
40:57
SPEAKER_05: So Nkrumah created uh Ghana National Secondary School, which was devoid of religion, right?
41:02
SPEAKER_05: Okay.
41:02
SPEAKER_05: Even though post his death, they've brought religion there like everywhere else.
41:05
SPEAKER_05: So Nkrumah said we must remove religion from education, because if you teach something faith-based alongside something which is scientifically based, because it's science, we can say it's absolute, you are teaching people that this theory which is based on nothing, right?
41:22
SPEAKER_05: Faith is based on nothing that is real, because if your faith comes from within, then it's based on something which is real.
41:29
SPEAKER_05: But if it comes from if it's an external source of faith, we are teaching faith alongside science.
41:35
SPEAKER_05: So our children are going to grow up believing that faith is the same as science.
41:39
SPEAKER_05: We must separate them.
41:40
SPEAKER_05: As soon as Nkrumah tried to remove religion from our educational system, have you ever read the school books, what they say about Nkrumah?
41:52
SPEAKER_05: They never say anything good about Inkroma.
41:54
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Nkrumah is one person that in education he's really.
41:58
SPEAKER_05: It's because those who were educated or those who were indoctrinated, right, could not understand Inkruma's vision because their minds had already been polluted by religion and one plus one is equal to two.
42:12
SPEAKER_05: There are Ghanaians who said, Oh, we want to go the British way.
42:16
SPEAKER_05: How can you go the British way?
42:18
SPEAKER_05: The British colonized you.
42:20
SPEAKER_05: Are you going to, if you're going the British way means you are going to go and colonize Britain?
42:22
SPEAKER_05: Are you sure you are ready to do that?
42:24
SPEAKER_05: Are you sure you can do that?
42:25
SPEAKER_05: So if Ghanaians are going to adopt something British, the first thing we have to do is go and colonize Britain.
42:30
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
42:31
SPEAKER_05: But when Ghanaians say we are taking a British approach, colonizing Britain is not even on their radar.
42:36
SPEAKER_05: That shows you how brainwashed and how stupid this educational system has made us.
42:39
SPEAKER_01: But there's one thing I always say.
42:41
SPEAKER_01: You know, if I'm sitting in my house, right, and some neighbors break into my house and they beat me every day for a week.
42:48
SPEAKER_01: And then when they are leaving, after beating me every day for a week, they give me a book and some biscuits and a movie to watch and tell me that these things they've given me are going to make my life better.
43:03
SPEAKER_01: Should I believe them?
43:05
SPEAKER_01: So when we are oppressed for 400 years, and after that oppression, they leave behind their religion, their educational system, and media to keep feeding our mind.
43:15
SPEAKER_01: Their healthcare system.
43:16
SPEAKER_01: And their healthcare system.
43:17
SPEAKER_05: Which is dependent on medicines which they produce.
43:20
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
43:20
SPEAKER_05: Do you know how many Ghanaians have access to Western medicine?
43:25
SPEAKER_05: It's less than 30%.
43:28
SPEAKER_05: So the vast majority of Ghanaians, the medicine that they have access to, whether it's a midwife, traditional midwife, whether it's this is the majority of Ghanaians, right?
43:38
SPEAKER_05: They use traditional medicine.
43:40
SPEAKER_05: Okay, when the government allocates Ministry of Health budget, what percentage goes into traditional medicine?
43:46
SPEAKER_05: If it was not 20, 25 years ago, even the traditional midwives were not incorporated into the National Health Service, even though they were delivering most of the babies in Ghana.
43:58
SPEAKER_05: So it's like we've got a method.
44:00
SPEAKER_05: Of delivering babies in this country.
44:02
SPEAKER_05: And we ignore it completely because it does not fit the structure of the national health service that the British left for us.
44:09
SPEAKER_01: Everything that we do is bad.
44:11
SPEAKER_01: Let me give you an example.
44:13
SPEAKER_01: Christian mythology is not called Christian mythology, it's just called the creation story.
44:20
SPEAKER_01: And then we have Greek mythology, which is mythology, but still sounds nice.
44:26
SPEAKER_01: And then we have African witchcraft.
44:28
SPEAKER_01: Look at the look at the hierarchy.
44:32
SPEAKER_01: Christian facts.
44:34
SPEAKER_01: Because everybody knows that Adam and Eve is how the world was created.
44:39
SPEAKER_01: Because that is the creation story.
44:41
SPEAKER_01: And then Greek Norse mythology, like all the other ones, are mythology, is nice.
44:47
SPEAKER_01: You see Thor, and Thor is fighting with his hammer.
44:50
SPEAKER_01: You know, yes, millnaire, because this is mythology, it's nice.
44:54
SPEAKER_01: And African is Chewa with witchcraft.
44:56
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
44:57
SPEAKER_05: Where does book no lie come from?
44:59
SPEAKER_01: No idea.
45:00
SPEAKER_05: It's part of the educational system.
45:03
SPEAKER_05: Book no lie.
45:04
SPEAKER_05: And yet we know there are more lies in books.
45:07
SPEAKER_01: Than any other place.
45:08
SPEAKER_01: Than there are in the mouths of you know one thing I learned a few years ago, and I was disappointed, I just learned about it.
45:15
SPEAKER_01: The Ottoman Empire.
45:17
SPEAKER_01: I didn't know the Ottoman Empire.
45:19
SPEAKER_01: Because all the history I had studied was from school.
45:23
SPEAKER_05: Which is British conquest, French conquest, Norman conquest at most.
45:27
SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
45:28
SPEAKER_05: American independence.
45:29
SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
45:30
SPEAKER_01: So when I learned about the Ottoman Empire, that they defeated the Romans, because I'd always asked who put an end to the Roman Empire.
45:37
SPEAKER_01: So when I learned they defeated the Romans, I learned they were the world superpower for like 400 years.
45:42
SPEAKER_01: I was like, who are these and why don't I know them?
45:45
SPEAKER_05: It's like the crusades lasted 700 years.
45:49
SPEAKER_05: Who are they fighting with?
45:50
SPEAKER_05: That you can't beat them for 700 years.
45:52
SPEAKER_05: 700 years.
45:54
SPEAKER_05: So a 700-year war, fighting over what?
45:59
SPEAKER_01: What are you fighting for?
46:00
SPEAKER_01: Over whose religion is rights.
46:03
SPEAKER_05: How does that make sense, right?
46:06
SPEAKER_01: If if you I mean recently they called the US-Iran War a holy war, that's what the US said.
46:14
SPEAKER_05: So well, you know, America is a very strange country.
46:20
SPEAKER_05: It's uh no disrespect to Americans, but Americans know less about the world than any other country that have been to.
46:28
SPEAKER_01: You know, they're amazed about the World Cup.
46:31
SPEAKER_01: You know, Americans did not know the power of football and the power of the World Cup.
46:37
SPEAKER_01: As far as they were concerned, football is a minor sport that you know, like Americans were honestly convinced that the Super Bowl final is a bigger sporting event.
46:47
SPEAKER_05: It's the biggest sporting event in the world.
46:49
SPEAKER_05: Yes, and why they call it World Series, they are the world champions, you know.
46:53
SPEAKER_05: Everything in America is world, world, world, even though it's only America.
46:57
SPEAKER_05: So Americans' view of the world is America, yeah.
47:00
SPEAKER_05: It's when I was in America, I would ask people, do you have a passport?
47:08
SPEAKER_05: If there are so many Americans, they don't have a passport, right?
47:17
SPEAKER_05: And in fact, they are even scared to go anywhere, right?
47:24
SPEAKER_05: Because they believe the whole world is some barbaric, you know, because they were never taught anything about the world, right?
47:32
SPEAKER_05: So and and I think that that in itself is a very negative way to approach how you develop the mind of a human being, right?
47:46
SPEAKER_05: Because if you don't know what the alternative to America is, right?
47:53
SPEAKER_05: Let's say, okay, America claim they have in fact the British will tell you they started democracy, right?
47:59
SPEAKER_05: But they have House of Lords.
48:00
SPEAKER_05: The House of Lords are nobody votes for the House of Lords, but they can overturn any decision the House of Commons makes.
48:06
SPEAKER_01: Okay, true.
48:07
SPEAKER_05: And the Queen can overturn any decision the House of Lords makes.
48:10
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so that's not really a democracy.
48:11
SPEAKER_01: It's not a democracy, no.
48:13
SPEAKER_01: I mean, they still have a queen, so they have a queen, yes.
48:15
SPEAKER_05: And the queen can veto.
48:17
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you go to United Nations, you say United Nations, but there are some countries with the veto power.
48:22
SPEAKER_05: That means we are not equal, right?
48:23
SPEAKER_05: So, what is united?
48:25
SPEAKER_05: If every time I say yes, 150 of us can say yes.
48:29
SPEAKER_05: As soon as you Richie says no, no, it's no.
48:31
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, right?
48:32
SPEAKER_05: Where is the where is the unity in that?
48:34
SPEAKER_01: There is no unity.
48:35
SPEAKER_01: We are united under our leaders, yes, right.
48:38
SPEAKER_05: So the democracy is an illusion.
48:42
SPEAKER_01: Yes, and I I sometimes I say this thing, and you know, um said this, and I think I get what he meant.
48:48
SPEAKER_01: That the truth is a country like ours thinks practicing democracy is the right thing, but the developed countries, air quotes, the developed countries didn't practice democracy.
49:02
SPEAKER_01: No, they became developed by having a group of people run things the right way for a very long time.
49:10
SPEAKER_01: For a very, very long time.
49:11
SPEAKER_01: And even what they call democracy just looks like democracy to the public.
49:16
SPEAKER_01: But there's actually decisions being made behind the scenes.
49:20
SPEAKER_05: And the countries where I would say today some kind of democracy is working, right?
49:28
SPEAKER_05: It's where they have coalition governments.
49:31
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
49:31
SPEAKER_05: Right?
49:32
SPEAKER_05: So and people choose parties based on their own personal vested interests.
49:41
SPEAKER_05: In Germany, there's the Green Party.
49:43
SPEAKER_05: In the 1970s, the Green Party said we are going to put an end to nuclear power.
49:47
SPEAKER_05: Everybody said, Oh, these guys are crazy.
49:49
SPEAKER_05: How can we stop nuclear power?
49:50
SPEAKER_05: Today it has happened because the Green Party campaigned for it for 40 years.
49:54
SPEAKER_05: That's all they did.
49:55
SPEAKER_05: It's like one of their we don't want any bombs, we don't want American bombs on our soil, and we don't want nuclear weapons, right?
50:01
SPEAKER_05: And we don't want nuclear power plants.
50:03
SPEAKER_05: But no, if I said 40 years, more than 50 years, because I remember this when I was a child.
50:08
SPEAKER_05: Atomcraft 9 Danke, which means nuclear power, no thank you.
50:12
SPEAKER_05: That was their slogan.
50:13
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
50:13
SPEAKER_05: Everybody 50 years ago, when I was a child, everybody thought these people are lunatics, they are nutters.
50:18
SPEAKER_05: This is never going to happen.
50:19
SPEAKER_05: But 50 years later it has happened because of concerted pressure over a 50-year period.
50:24
SPEAKER_05: If you need to form a government, you need our supporters.
50:27
SPEAKER_05: So coalition governments are much more constructive because it forces us all to compromise.
50:33
SPEAKER_05: There's no pendulum.
50:34
SPEAKER_05: You see, what we have in Ghana is a pendulum.
50:36
SPEAKER_05: The projects that this government started, the next government will come, abandon all of them, start their own, and you're just swinging from one side to the other.
50:44
SPEAKER_05: There's no national policy, there's no, but everybody in Ghana needs to agree that these need to be our goals over the next 50 years.
50:52
SPEAKER_05: Whatever government comes to power, we are going to stick to these goals because these goals are important.
50:56
SPEAKER_05: Which country has made the most progress over the last 40 or 50 years?
51:00
SPEAKER_05: It's China.
51:02
SPEAKER_05: Does China have a democracy?
51:04
SPEAKER_05: Yes, they do.
51:10
SPEAKER_05: They have a meritocracy.
51:12
SPEAKER_05: Look into the history of Xi Ping.
51:15
SPEAKER_05: You will see from his teenage years into his early twenties, his achievements were stellar.
51:22
SPEAKER_05: Right?
51:22
SPEAKER_05: So in China, if you are interested in politics, you join the one party that exists.
51:27
SPEAKER_05: And then you compete within that party.
51:29
SPEAKER_05: So they will choose the best and the brightest people.
51:33
SPEAKER_05: And they are on a track towards becoming the premier.
51:36
SPEAKER_05: So by the time you come become the premier, you have at you have proved yourself again and again and again and again and again.
51:42
SPEAKER_05: And China, if you mess up, what do they do?
51:46
SPEAKER_05: One time.
51:46
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
51:47
SPEAKER_05: Right?
51:48
SPEAKER_05: So, of course, they are going to have good governance.
51:52
unknown: Right?
51:52
SPEAKER_05: It's like sorry and say, oh, Charlie, I'm campaigning, I'm campaigning.
51:56
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
51:57
SPEAKER_05: Share money to all the delegates.
51:58
SPEAKER_05: Because in Ghana, if I want to run for MP of my area, it's the delegates who vote for me.
52:04
SPEAKER_05: If I give every delegate a fridge or a motorbike or abubo ya or something, that's how it works, right?
52:10
SPEAKER_05: Even look at the university level.
52:12
SPEAKER_05: Politics has got into uh SRC uh to the SRC level.
52:19
SPEAKER_01: So very, very, very severe in university right now.
52:22
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
52:22
SPEAKER_05: Corrupt.
52:23
SPEAKER_05: It's about money, it's about financing, it's about this.
52:26
SPEAKER_05: That is not the way.
52:28
SPEAKER_05: Surely a democracy should be based on the person who is most capable of leading us in the right direction.
52:35
SPEAKER_05: So that means our traditional system is more advanced than a democracy.
52:40
SPEAKER_05: Because in the traditional system, when the old king dies, the elders, and at the end of the day, the elders represent every clan within the tribe, and that clan is a representation of every family.
52:52
SPEAKER_05: Out of the Busin' Penis, you choose the elders.
52:56
SPEAKER_05: So the elders will sit down and say, okay, Richie, Kwame, the reason why you have queen mothers is because from the moment a queen mother's son is born, she's training him to be a potential king.
53:07
SPEAKER_05: So you are being trained from the moment you are born.
53:10
SPEAKER_05: So the elders will look at all the potential kings and say, Oh, where do you open too much?
53:16
SPEAKER_05: Where do you obey a wicked intime?
53:22
SPEAKER_05: And then they choose the most appropriate person.
53:25
SPEAKER_05: It's a meritocracy.
53:27
SPEAKER_05: So our traditional system of governance was a meritocracy.
53:31
SPEAKER_05: And we have replaced the meritocracy with a popularity contest.
53:37
SPEAKER_05: Do you believe 50% of the people in any country are smart?
53:42
SPEAKER_01: No, I don't.
53:43
SPEAKER_05: So why are we allowing the fools to determine our future?
53:46
SPEAKER_01: If you even just follow Parito's principle, it explains that in every community, 20% give 80% of the output.
53:54
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
53:55
SPEAKER_05: So if we are looking for the So why should the 80% determine the future of the 20% who are producing everything?
54:01
SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
54:02
SPEAKER_05: It doesn't make sense.
54:03
SPEAKER_05: So to me, democracy is stupidity.
54:06
SPEAKER_05: Because we need, so if we say family, every family should choose one person.
54:12
SPEAKER_05: This is the family head.
54:14
SPEAKER_05: This is the person who within our family we believe is the smartest, most fair, most genuine person.
54:21
SPEAKER_05: We want him to represent us.
54:23
SPEAKER_05: So we are pushing a good foot forward.
54:25
SPEAKER_05: We are not going to send the criminal and the thief to go and represent our family.
54:29
SPEAKER_05: So within our family, we know who can represent us best.
54:35
SPEAKER_05: Then the families come together.
54:37
SPEAKER_05: That is a meritocracy.
54:38
SPEAKER_05: The families then nominate an elder to go and sit in the chief's court to represent our interests, right?
54:45
SPEAKER_05: So it's a meritocracy.
54:47
SPEAKER_05: In I do not believe 50% of the people in any country in the world, right, are smart or understand enough.
54:57
SPEAKER_01: Or are even paying attention enough.
55:00
SPEAKER_01: It's not even about the cognitive level of the person, but how many people are actually paying attention to governance, to politics, to what the country needs?
55:09
SPEAKER_01: Most people how many people vote.
55:13
SPEAKER_00: Oh, oh, and in castle.
55:14
SPEAKER_01: Oh.
55:20
SPEAKER_05: So what do we vote based on policies?
55:26
SPEAKER_05: No.
55:26
SPEAKER_01: Furthermore, when I was in when I was in Motown, um, there was a woman, there was a lady who was standing for I don't even remember what it was, if it was SRC or for like she was standing for something, right?
55:40
SPEAKER_01: And her name was Nache.
55:43
SPEAKER_01: So when she stood up to give her manifesto, and they mentioned her name, Nache.
55:51
SPEAKER_01: And she won.
55:54
SPEAKER_01: She was a very intelligent person and everything, but the reason she won was her name like was exciting.
56:02
SPEAKER_01: And it continues into politics.
56:06
SPEAKER_05: It's this it's the same thing.
56:07
SPEAKER_05: You see, with the kind of politics we are pursuing now, right?
56:17
SPEAKER_05: Where is everything is determined by resources, right?
56:23
SPEAKER_05: So the party with the most resources running the most campaign is most likely to win, right?
56:30
SPEAKER_05: So what happens?
56:31
SPEAKER_05: It's like every year when they announce how much is going to be spent on this year's election, it's an astronomical figure.
56:38
SPEAKER_05: But they haven't even mentioned what each party is spending.
56:41
SPEAKER_05: So every four years, Ghana probably loses something in the region of 10 billion to politics.
56:48
SPEAKER_05: If we got rid of all that politics, this 10 billion could go towards national development.
56:52
SPEAKER_05: Right?
56:53
SPEAKER_01: And if people felt like what you're saying is so intelligent because if people felt, because everybody's looking for power.
57:00
SPEAKER_01: So if people felt the way to attain that power is through merit, actually achieve, actually learn, actually do amazing things, and you will get the power, then they will put all their energy towards doing that.
57:14
SPEAKER_01: But right now that it feels like the power is in the hands of the regular voters, then they'll put the money in those people's hands because that's what makes more sense.
57:24
SPEAKER_01: So instead of somebody's made an MP, somebody's made a minister, instead of actually doing the work for the community so that the community will keep him in, they'll rather just, you know, something small for the boys, something small for the boys, so they'll keep voting for him.
57:39
SPEAKER_01: And they know that the 80%, the person who will be more swayed with a bicycle or a bag of rice, are more than the people who are going to say they haven't fixed this gutter for a whole eight years.
57:51
SPEAKER_01: You get me?
57:52
SPEAKER_05: So me, I agree with you with that 100%.
57:55
SPEAKER_05: Is but once I asked somebody, a party, I won't mention the party came to share t-shirts, and one guy said, Oh, because of this t-shirt, I'm going to vote for them.
58:03
SPEAKER_05: And I said, Ah, are you selling your vote for a t-shirt?
58:06
SPEAKER_05: He said, No.
58:07
SPEAKER_05: But the other party has brought me nothing.
58:09
SPEAKER_05: So this is better to me as far as I'm concerned.
58:12
SPEAKER_05: At least from this party, I've got a t-shirt.
58:14
SPEAKER_05: From the other party, I have got nothing.
58:16
SPEAKER_05: So, how do I make my choice?
58:18
SPEAKER_05: I choose the one who has seen me.
58:21
unknown: Right.
58:24
SPEAKER_05: And you you can't deny that it kind of makes sense.
58:28
SPEAKER_05: Right?
58:29
SPEAKER_05: So here we are, we are stuck in this system.
58:31
SPEAKER_05: Right.
58:32
SPEAKER_01: It's a sad truth.
58:34
SPEAKER_05: Something is better than nothing.
58:35
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
58:36
SPEAKER_05: You I can see that the politicians around me are getting something.
58:41
SPEAKER_05: For me too, I want my share.
58:43
SPEAKER_05: At least no matter how small it is, at least me too.
58:46
SPEAKER_05: I'm getting something.
58:46
SPEAKER_01: So now the grid trickles down.
58:48
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
58:49
SPEAKER_05: Right to the very beginning.
58:52
SPEAKER_01: You still did not talk about what you mentioned.
58:56
SPEAKER_01: Please, you mentioned that you believe human beings were made by aliens.
59:00
SPEAKER_01: Please go deeper.
59:01
SPEAKER_05: I think that is what the story of Adam and Eve is.
59:04
SPEAKER_05: Because a snake with an apple in its mouth is exactly what a human sperm looks like.
59:09
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
59:10
SPEAKER_05: So Hippocrates, who we say is the father of medicine, he saw DNA and didn't know what it was.
59:14
SPEAKER_05: What did he say?
59:15
SPEAKER_05: He said it's two snakes.
59:16
SPEAKER_05: So if you see something you don't understand, you connect it to something that you do understand.
59:22
SPEAKER_05: So imagine, look, the story of the Bible is two, three thousand years old.
59:25
SPEAKER_05: Can you imagine those primitive?
59:27
SPEAKER_05: Do you know how primitive Europe was three thousand years ago?
59:30
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
59:31
SPEAKER_05: When did Europeans learn to bath?
59:34
SPEAKER_05: It's just like I can mention European countries where they still don't, they haven't learned how to bath.
59:42
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
59:43
SPEAKER_05: See, when I lived in England, I bath in the morning and they I bath in the night, and they say, Oh, it's because you smell.
59:47
SPEAKER_05: You smell, that's why you have to bath two times a day.
59:50
SPEAKER_05: Not knowing that that's part of personal hygiene.
59:52
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
59:52
SPEAKER_05: Right?
59:53
SPEAKER_05: Scrub, and not only do I bath, I scrub my skin.
59:56
SPEAKER_05: When you scrub your skin with a sponge, it's exfoliation.
59:59
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:00:00
SPEAKER_05: That is why we are healthy, because we are getting rid of the dead cells, and the dead cells carry toxins away.
1:00:06
SPEAKER_05: So actually, scrubbing your skin every day, especially if you do it from an early age and you do it throughout your entire life, actually makes you a much healthier person because your body gets it has a channel to get rid of toxins.
1:00:17
SPEAKER_05: It's just like sweating.
1:00:18
SPEAKER_05: Sweating helps your body to get rid of toxins.
1:00:21
SPEAKER_05: So it's scrubbing your body every day, or like putting lime on your skin, then some oil becomes out of it.
1:00:26
SPEAKER_05: It's full of toxins, right?
1:00:28
SPEAKER_05: So these are healthy things to do.
1:00:30
SPEAKER_05: We don't just bath because of smelling, we bath because we want to be healthy.
1:00:34
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:00:35
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:00:35
SPEAKER_05: So it's imagine the primitive European who saw the story of creation, that here is a sperm.
1:00:45
SPEAKER_05: That this sperm was administered to Eve by artificial insemination.
1:00:50
SPEAKER_05: Me, I've worked on a pig farm.
1:00:51
SPEAKER_05: We do artificial insemination every day, right?
1:00:54
SPEAKER_05: It's not it's a normal process.
1:00:56
SPEAKER_05: Do you know pigs have periods like human beings?
1:00:58
SPEAKER_05: You see, dogs, they go on heat.
1:01:01
SPEAKER_05: Pigs are not like that, they have a period.
1:01:03
SPEAKER_05: So when I say pigs are our closest relatives, right?
1:01:07
SPEAKER_05: I mean, there are other animals that have periods, but the pig's period and ours, Charlie?
1:01:12
SPEAKER_01: It's very similar.
1:01:13
SPEAKER_05: Very similar, yes.
1:01:14
SPEAKER_05: So what is the story?
1:01:17
SPEAKER_05: It's I personally believe it's something comes from something.
1:01:22
SPEAKER_01: But I want to know what the source is, because the in the Sumerian, um, in the Sumerian text, they talk about Anunnaki.
1:01:30
SPEAKER_01: So when you mention aliens, I was wondering if that was the story of the side.
1:01:34
SPEAKER_01: Yes, that's what I'm saying.
1:01:35
SPEAKER_05: Every culture, right, has a story of creation, right?
1:01:40
SPEAKER_05: So the Akan have a story of creation.
1:01:48
SPEAKER_05: That is where the creator of the heavens and the earth, which has found its way into the Bible, comes from.
1:01:54
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
1:01:54
SPEAKER_05: So that means didn't come with Christianity.
1:01:59
SPEAKER_05: It was there before Christianity.
1:02:01
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:02:02
SPEAKER_05: So it is we have, in fact, our behavior shows you that we believe in God.
1:02:13
SPEAKER_05: Not our exercise books.
1:02:15
SPEAKER_01: So you believe that there is a God that created the universe, but that's separate from the aliens.
1:02:24
SPEAKER_05: That's no, I I don't believe God created the universe.
1:02:26
SPEAKER_05: I believe we created God.
1:02:29
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
1:02:30
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
1:02:30
SPEAKER_05: Love.
1:02:32
SPEAKER_05: See, if I create a lot of love around me, I'm creating God around me.
1:02:36
SPEAKER_01: That's what God is.
1:02:40
SPEAKER_05: I'm just saying that that is that's that too is a form of religion, which I don't believe in.
1:02:45
SPEAKER_05: You know, I don't believe in religion.
1:02:47
SPEAKER_05: Okay.
1:02:47
SPEAKER_05: I believe in God.
1:02:50
SPEAKER_05: No, no, no, no, no.
1:02:50
SPEAKER_05: Ah, no, no, no.
1:02:52
SPEAKER_05: To me, all religion is ignorant people's attempt to explain something that we just have to accept we don't understand.
1:02:59
SPEAKER_05: So, me, it's easy for me to accept where does all of this come from?
1:03:04
SPEAKER_05: I don't know, but I'm here now and I'm going to try and understand what is around me now.
1:03:09
SPEAKER_05: I don't need to understand what was then.
1:03:13
SPEAKER_05: If I try need to understand anything, then I need to try and understand what will be.
1:03:18
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
1:03:19
SPEAKER_05: So we live in a civilization where history is more important than the future.
1:03:26
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:03:27
SPEAKER_05: If you look at our traditional knowledge system, the future is more important than the past.
1:03:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
1:03:33
SPEAKER_01: Which is why we didn't document it as much.
1:03:35
SPEAKER_01: It was more oral history.
1:03:38
SPEAKER_05: And okay, look at my family's example.
1:03:41
SPEAKER_05: My father went to school, right?
1:03:42
SPEAKER_05: My father went to Achimoto in the 40s, right?
1:03:46
SPEAKER_05: 30s, 40s.
1:03:48
SPEAKER_05: No, he graduated 49, so in the 40s.
1:03:51
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
1:03:52
SPEAKER_05: My grandmother didn't have a daughter.
1:03:54
SPEAKER_05: So it is my father who she told this oral history to.
1:03:58
SPEAKER_05: She also told it to us, but we were little children, you know, we're small.
1:04:02
SPEAKER_05: So what did my father do?
1:04:03
SPEAKER_05: My father had gone to school, so he wrote it all down.
1:04:05
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
1:04:07
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:04:07
SPEAKER_05: He didn't learn it by heart like the illiterates did.
1:04:10
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:04:11
SPEAKER_05: He wrote it down.
1:04:12
SPEAKER_05: And then what happened?
1:04:14
SPEAKER_05: The book got lost.
1:04:17
SPEAKER_05: So in one generation of education, 33 generations of knowledge was lost.
1:04:22
SPEAKER_02: Wow.
1:04:22
SPEAKER_05: So we think education protects information.
1:04:25
SPEAKER_05: It doesn't.
1:04:26
SPEAKER_05: 33 generations had managed to remember all of these names, remember the path.
1:04:31
SPEAKER_05: We were in Bono at this time, we were in Tumutu at this time, then we were in Amanochrome at this time, then, you know, from Amanochrome to Insawim, from Insawim to Accra, I'm in Accra, right?
1:04:40
SPEAKER_05: So when my grandmother is telling the stories like places, people, they are all connected.
1:04:45
SPEAKER_05: My father, who was educated and wrote it down, lost all of that knowledge.
1:04:49
SPEAKER_05: So there's nothing that says written down history is safer than oral history at all.
1:04:55
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:04:56
SPEAKER_05: Because, and also we as Africans, the reason why we adopted oral history is because the barbarians kept burning our libraries.
1:05:04
SPEAKER_05: They burned the libraries in Alexandria many times.
1:05:07
SPEAKER_05: In fact, I think Julius Caesar was proud to say that yes, he also burned the libraries in Alexandria.
1:05:12
SPEAKER_05: It's like it's something to boast about that I've destroyed all this knowledge.
1:05:16
SPEAKER_05: So our ancestors tried to protect the knowledge.
1:05:20
SPEAKER_05: So they took it to the middle of the desert where it was where the barbarians couldn't come and burn the libraries anymore.
1:05:26
SPEAKER_05: I've driven to Timbuktu.
1:05:28
SPEAKER_05: A thousand years ago, Timbuktu had a thousand universities.
1:05:30
SPEAKER_05: How many universities does Ghana have today?
1:05:33
SPEAKER_05: How many universities did Europe have a thousand years ago?
1:05:37
SPEAKER_01: Zero.
1:05:38
SPEAKER_01: But I have this question.
1:05:39
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I know the answer, but I have to ask this question.
1:05:42
SPEAKER_01: In Ghanaian school history, when you learn, Africa was some barbaric place.
1:05:49
SPEAKER_01: Yes, with no knowledge and no intelligence.
1:05:52
SPEAKER_01: And the white people came to find us a few hundred years ago.
1:05:57
SPEAKER_01: Look, 2026.
1:06:00
SPEAKER_05: Go and look at the primary school book, right?
1:06:03
SPEAKER_05: It says the benefits of colonialism.
1:06:05
SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
1:06:06
SPEAKER_05: That is what our children.
1:06:08
SPEAKER_05: When my children were I when I saw the book, that chapter at the end, what does it say the benefits of colonialism are?
1:06:16
SPEAKER_05: Number one, education.
1:06:19
SPEAKER_05: Two, religion.
1:06:21
SPEAKER_05: Three, systems and uh medicine.
1:06:25
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:06:26
SPEAKER_05: But almost 70% of Ghanaians still have no access to this medicine.
1:06:31
SPEAKER_05: And yet they are living good, right?
1:06:34
SPEAKER_05: Now, in 2026, we have finally learned that children who are not vaccinated are healthier than children who are vaccinated.
1:06:44
SPEAKER_02: Really?
1:06:44
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
1:06:45
SPEAKER_05: I'm vaccinated.
1:06:47
SPEAKER_05: Me too.
1:06:48
SPEAKER_05: My father was a doctor, they gave me plenty.
1:06:50
SPEAKER_05: But my own children took far fewer vaccines tuberculosis and polio.
1:06:58
SPEAKER_05: Those two.
1:06:59
SPEAKER_05: And the reason why I vaccinated my children against polio is because they came to vaccinate all the children in the school.
1:07:06
SPEAKER_05: So once everybody, you've got to vaccinate them too, otherwise they are at risk.
1:07:10
SPEAKER_05: But if they hadn't come to vaccinate the children, not only is like they came to vaccinate all the school children in Jolu, if they hadn't done that at the time, I wouldn't have done it either.
1:07:18
SPEAKER_05: I don't believe in vaccines because I believe the human body is designed to learn to fight disease.
1:07:30
SPEAKER_05: And also, I mean, some of the illnesses.
1:07:34
SPEAKER_05: You know, we vaccinate our children against things that don't kill anybody.
1:07:38
SPEAKER_05: Mumps don't kill anybody.
1:07:40
SPEAKER_05: Moms has never killed anybody.
1:07:42
SPEAKER_05: So I do want my children to get mums.
1:07:45
SPEAKER_05: Me, when I was growing up, which is 50 years ago, they used to have chicken pox parties.
1:07:51
SPEAKER_05: As soon as you get chicken pox, all your friends will come so that they also get chicken pox once and for all, and then it's done.
1:07:56
SPEAKER_05: Then you call it gens, no, color mine lotion, color mine lotion.
1:08:00
SPEAKER_05: So all of us at the time, mums to the same.
1:08:02
SPEAKER_05: As soon as you get mums, we'll all get mums.
1:08:03
SPEAKER_05: And then we are immune to it for the rest of our lives.
1:08:06
SPEAKER_05: If you don't get chicken pox as a child, the likelihood that you'll get shingles as an adult is much, much higher.
1:08:13
SPEAKER_05: If you get mums as an adult, you become infertile, right?
1:08:16
SPEAKER_05: So it is healthy for children because getting these illnesses as a child develops your immune system.
1:08:23
SPEAKER_05: You have glands here, here, and here, six of them.
1:08:27
SPEAKER_05: Children who are vaccinated, 38, 40 vaccines, you go and look at those glands, they are like peanuts.
1:08:33
SPEAKER_05: Children who have had the childhood diseases, these glands are big.
1:08:37
SPEAKER_05: So they are called childhood diseases for a reason.
1:08:40
SPEAKER_05: The children who survive them will live a strong and healthy life.
1:08:46
SPEAKER_05: Maybe the ones who don't survive, it's nature's way of weeding, right?
1:08:50
SPEAKER_05: And of course, there are cultures where people have one child, so it's like it's a terrible thing.
1:08:55
SPEAKER_05: But and I'm not saying because you have five or six children you can afford to lose one.
1:08:59
SPEAKER_05: But I I have two children.
1:09:01
SPEAKER_05: It's not like I can I can't afford to lose any of my children.
1:09:03
SPEAKER_05: But I as the father of a pediatrician, even 50 years ago, my father used to say that the children who come from the village, they've never been vaccinated against anything.
1:09:15
SPEAKER_05: Their immune systems are superior to the ones who you know.
1:09:19
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:09:20
SPEAKER_05: Because you you have survived based on what is within.
1:09:24
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:09:24
SPEAKER_05: So it's like there are many things, but you can you can look it up scientifically, proven that children who receive no vaccines are much healthier than the children who are vaccinated against everything.
1:09:36
SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
1:09:37
SPEAKER_05: So it is I have research to do.
1:09:39
SPEAKER_05: Oh, Charlie, that one they look it up.
1:09:41
SPEAKER_05: So why did we adopt a system without questioning it?
1:09:46
SPEAKER_01: Because we were taught not to question anything.
1:09:48
SPEAKER_01: So we don't question anything we are given.
1:09:50
SPEAKER_01: I keep talking about the fact that I was so amazed, it's just a few months ago.
1:09:54
SPEAKER_05: The Ottoman Empire.
1:09:55
SPEAKER_01: No, not the Ottoman Empire.
1:09:56
SPEAKER_01: That I learned that the world map that we were taught was wrong.
1:10:00
SPEAKER_01: I learned that just like two or three months ago.
1:10:02
SPEAKER_05: Okay, do you know how I discovered that thing?
1:10:04
SPEAKER_01: How?
1:10:05
SPEAKER_05: So, in the like in the late 80s, I was living in England, and during the summertime, I would go and work in Germany because I used to work for Bosch.
1:10:15
SPEAKER_05: So I was studying mechanical engineering, and Bosch have a policy whereby, in fact, many places in Europe have it.
1:10:23
SPEAKER_05: Whilst you are studying engineering, during the holidays, you go and work at Bosch.
1:10:27
SPEAKER_05: They'll pay you well, and then when it comes time for you to do your final year project, the company you are working for will give you something.
1:10:34
SPEAKER_05: At the end of the day, they know your professor is very knowledgeable, right?
1:10:37
SPEAKER_05: He might not be very practical, but at least you'll be very theoretical.
1:10:41
SPEAKER_05: So we'll give you, go and do some research into this material, work out the tensiles, try and find out whether if we make our drilling machines from this metal, it will be better than what we are using now.
1:10:52
SPEAKER_05: So they will give you some tasks to do.
1:10:54
SPEAKER_05: So, like during the summertime, I would drive from London to Stuttgart, and if you look at it on the map, it's so far.
1:11:03
SPEAKER_05: And yet I could drive that entire distance, including taking a ferry to cross the channel in like 16 hours.
1:11:12
SPEAKER_05: If I leave Accra and I drive 16 hours now before I've reached Paga, and you okay, you can say it's the speed at which you are traveling, yes, but the speed at which you are traveling simply could not make up for the distance.
1:11:23
SPEAKER_05: So you see a distance like this on the map, and you realize I can cover this distance in 12 hours, and then I'll come here, and then this distance is also 12 hours.
1:11:34
SPEAKER_05: And telling Europe looks so big on the map.
1:11:37
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you can drive across Europe in two days.
1:11:42
SPEAKER_05: It takes four days to drive from here to Timbuktu, even if you are driving more or less constantly.
1:11:47
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:11:47
SPEAKER_05: Okay, sometimes you are only driving 80, 60, 80, 100.
1:11:51
SPEAKER_05: But still, it's not like you're driving 20 kilometers an hour.
1:11:53
SPEAKER_05: You are moving at speed the whole time.
1:11:54
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:11:55
SPEAKER_05: So it made me realize that there's something seriously wrong with the map.
1:11:58
SPEAKER_05: So for me, that was personal experience.
1:12:00
SPEAKER_05: It's like, ah, how can I cross this huge distance in 12 hours?
1:12:03
SPEAKER_05: And then, okay, traffic there, you can take 12 hours just to get to Kumasi.
1:12:10
SPEAKER_05: But without that, it's like Africa is huge.
1:12:14
SPEAKER_05: Because me, I had driven across North Africa.
1:12:17
SPEAKER_05: I've driven from Cairo to Aswan.
1:12:20
SPEAKER_05: You know, media, I like media, I like traveling.
1:12:22
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, me, I like traveling.
1:12:23
SPEAKER_05: I like to see, and I it's you see, when I moved back to Ghana in 99, I had been to every country in Europe except Liechtenstein.
1:12:33
SPEAKER_05: Liechtenstein, I'd never been, I didn't get a chance to go there.
1:12:36
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
1:12:36
SPEAKER_05: And that time some of the countries hadn't come, like Montenegro and things, it's not like they are now coming.
1:12:42
SPEAKER_05: But let's say Western Europe, I had been to every country, and I realized, ah, I'm living in Africa.
1:12:49
SPEAKER_05: How many African countries have I been to?
1:12:52
SPEAKER_05: You see, it is so expensive to travel around Africa.
1:12:56
SPEAKER_05: I remember when I went to Zanziba, a ticket acra to Zanziba,$2,700.
1:13:01
SPEAKER_06: Wow.
1:13:01
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:13:02
SPEAKER_05: From here to Dakar, it's like$1,000.
1:13:06
SPEAKER_05: $1,000 you can fly to New York, you can fly to Europe.
1:13:08
SPEAKER_05: You can see within America, you can fly almost anywhere for$150,$200.
1:13:14
SPEAKER_05: Even less.
1:13:14
SPEAKER_05: It's so cheap.
1:13:16
SPEAKER_00: But flight.
1:13:17
SPEAKER_05: But from here to Togo, from here to Lagos, it's now$400, right?
1:13:22
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:13:23
SPEAKER_05: $400, and it's a what?
1:13:25
SPEAKER_05: One hour flight, one hour, ten minutes, one minute, fifteen minutes.
1:13:29
SPEAKER_01: That's one way.
1:13:31
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
1:13:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
1:13:32
SPEAKER_05: So travel within Africa is so, so, so expensive.
1:13:35
SPEAKER_05: The only way you can travel is by road.
1:13:37
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:13:38
SPEAKER_05: So that is when Chali, it's so when I went to Zimbabwe, my friend and I, we drove to Zambia, we drove to Mozambique, we drove to all the countries around.
1:13:47
SPEAKER_05: Because once you are in Zimbabwe, by road you can go far.
1:13:51
SPEAKER_05: We went to Victoria Falls, you know.
1:13:53
SPEAKER_05: So it's just, hey, Chali from Harari to Victoria Falls is nose.
1:13:57
SPEAKER_05: Chali, it's like thousand plus kilometers.
1:13:58
SPEAKER_05: You look at it on the map, it seems small.
1:14:00
SPEAKER_01: And it's so small.
1:14:00
SPEAKER_05: But thousand thousand kilometers, you've crossed the whole of Europe.
1:14:03
SPEAKER_01: So, Panji, how do we undo some of these things?
1:14:06
SPEAKER_01: Because it's like if we don't fix these things for the next generation, what's going to happen is the wrong information will be passed on over and over again.
1:14:15
SPEAKER_05: Well, I honestly believe that the internet has opened the can of worms.
1:14:22
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:14:22
SPEAKER_05: Because when you see something on the internet, there is doubt in your mind that it's true.
1:14:28
SPEAKER_05: AI is also going to create a lot of fake things.
1:14:31
SPEAKER_05: So the the hidden advantage of AI and the hidden advantage of the internet is that it is going to make everybody question everything.
1:14:42
SPEAKER_05: So progress is inevitable.
1:14:45
SPEAKER_05: My children's generation, they are not going to swallow bullshit, hook, line, and sinker.
1:14:49
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:14:50
SPEAKER_05: They are going to question everything because they have grown up in a world where so many things are fake.
1:14:58
SPEAKER_05: We grew up book no lie, right?
1:15:00
SPEAKER_05: I mean, that's my age group.
1:15:03
SPEAKER_05: It's like somebody will show you something in a book.
1:15:05
SPEAKER_05: And it means it must be true.
1:15:06
SPEAKER_05: That means it must be true.
1:15:07
SPEAKER_01: Once it's been printed, it must be true.
1:15:09
SPEAKER_05: Today, if I show something on a website, ah, what website is this?
1:15:12
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:15:12
SPEAKER_05: What kind of fake 419 website?
1:15:14
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
1:15:14
SPEAKER_01: In fact, even if I know the website, I start out, I want to know who wrote the articles.
1:15:19
SPEAKER_01: You know.
1:15:19
SPEAKER_05: So we we are in an era of questioning.
1:15:22
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
1:15:23
SPEAKER_05: So it might not have been the plan, but it is the blessing for our children and our children's children, is they are growing up in a world where we question everything, right?
1:15:37
SPEAKER_05: And the internet allows us to disseminate information faster than ever before.
1:15:44
SPEAKER_05: Like doing this.
1:15:44
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
1:15:45
SPEAKER_05: I'm not denying the fact that the internet is heavily censored, right?
1:15:50
SPEAKER_05: So for instance, this interview, nobody in North Korea can watch it.
1:15:55
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:15:55
SPEAKER_05: In China, TikTok only gives you access to STEM.
1:15:59
SPEAKER_05: It's like all these dancing videos and these foolish videos which you can watch in Ghana or in America or Europe.
1:16:05
SPEAKER_05: A 14-year-old in China doesn't have access to them, right?
1:16:09
SPEAKER_05: So they have so the internet is not as free as we believe it is.
1:16:14
SPEAKER_05: However, it does allow the transmission of information.
1:16:19
SPEAKER_05: So I can make a voice note and I can send it to you, right?
1:16:23
SPEAKER_05: To a great extent, I'm bypassing the the middleman.
1:16:28
SPEAKER_05: The middlemen.
1:16:29
SPEAKER_05: Even though, if you remember, I there was some minister whose son was caught chopping the dean of Legon's daughter in some car.
1:16:39
SPEAKER_05: You remember that?
1:16:40
SPEAKER_01: And then everything just Yes.
1:16:42
SPEAKER_05: It got all of a sudden you couldn't share the video anymore.
1:16:45
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:16:45
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:16:46
SPEAKER_05: So that was for me, that was it's like, ah, how do they stop people from sharing this video and do it on a national scale?
1:16:55
SPEAKER_05: Maybe you can't do it outside Ghana, but within Ghana, nobody can share this video with you anymore.
1:17:00
SPEAKER_05: So that made me realize how how deep the censorship was.
1:17:04
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:17:04
SPEAKER_05: All it takes is somebody with the power and the will to show us that no, I can censor everything that you guys are sharing.
1:17:11
SPEAKER_05: But to a great extent, if I send you a voice note, somebody has to deem that voice note to be dangerous before they can stop the spread of it.
1:17:20
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:17:20
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:17:21
SPEAKER_05: So to a great extent, we can share information instantly across infinite distances to not an infinite number of people.
1:17:30
SPEAKER_05: None of these apps will allow you to share with.
1:17:32
SPEAKER_05: There's always a limit to how many tags.
1:17:35
SPEAKER_05: There's always a limit to how many people you can share with.
1:17:37
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:17:38
SPEAKER_05: So all these things slow down the process of instant information dissemination.
1:17:42
SPEAKER_05: Because people understand the instant dissemination of information is dangerous, it's a threat, right?
1:17:47
SPEAKER_05: But to a great extent, we all have more access to information.
1:17:53
SPEAKER_05: I won't say it's knowledge, it's information.
1:17:56
SPEAKER_05: It might be true, it might not be true, but that is for us to discern.
1:18:00
SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
1:18:01
SPEAKER_01: You get the option now of being able to decide.
1:18:04
SPEAKER_01: At first, there was no option.
1:18:06
SPEAKER_01: You are told this is the truth and you have to take it.
1:18:09
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
1:18:09
SPEAKER_01: Now you can decide, okay, I like this, I don't like this, I go with this.
1:18:13
SPEAKER_05: And all our children's generation are born into that questioning era.
1:18:19
SPEAKER_05: So in the future, far more people will be like me who question everything than like my peers who, if teacher said it's so, then it's so, right?
1:18:30
SPEAKER_05: Because I don't want teacher to beat me.
1:18:31
SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
1:18:32
SPEAKER_05: At the end of the day, if the teacher said something, chalib media they beat me in primary school, pal, because it's like media, I'll challenge it.
1:18:38
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
1:18:39
SPEAKER_05: You know, the Bible was written by a liar like me.
1:18:41
SPEAKER_05: The teacher beat me for it.
1:18:42
SPEAKER_05: But what have I said?
1:18:43
SPEAKER_05: I've said the Bible was written by a liar like me.
1:18:47
SPEAKER_05: So I'm telling you that I'm lying.
1:18:49
SPEAKER_05: So actually, I haven't blasphemed.
1:18:51
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because you are lying about what she said.
1:18:53
SPEAKER_05: I'm lying, and I'm telling you I'm a liar, right?
1:18:55
SPEAKER_05: So I'm lying about a lie.
1:18:57
SPEAKER_05: And when I told the teacher that, in fact, what you are beating me for doesn't make sense because I've told you I'm a liar.
1:19:07
SPEAKER_01: I'm sure they beat you even more.
1:19:09
SPEAKER_05: Because now you are making him look stupid in front of the class.
1:19:12
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:19:12
SPEAKER_05: Mr.
1:19:12
SPEAKER_05: Hinson, may he rest in peace.
1:19:14
SPEAKER_05: Oh, Mr.
1:19:14
SPEAKER_05: Hens.
1:19:14
SPEAKER_05: I don't know whether he's dead, but I'm hoping he's dead.
1:19:18
SPEAKER_05: It's like he his his treatment is, you see, me from kindergarten till I got to class four, all my teachers were women.
1:19:27
SPEAKER_05: All of them understood that, okay, me and religion, it's like it's like during the first thing you get to school, what's the first thing you do?
1:19:33
SPEAKER_05: You pray.
1:19:34
SPEAKER_05: And me and the teacher, me, I'll be watching you.
1:19:36
SPEAKER_05: It's like everybody can pray.
1:19:38
SPEAKER_05: But, you know, you your eyes are open.
1:19:40
SPEAKER_05: So if you say a Pandji, close your eyes, now everybody in the class will open their eyes to see if my eyes were open.
1:19:45
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:19:46
SPEAKER_05: So female teachers are much smarter, right?
1:19:48
SPEAKER_05: It's like, oh, if I say something, I'm creating more problems than I'm solving.
1:19:52
SPEAKER_05: So don't just so everybody whose eyes are closed, they don't know my eyes are open.
1:19:56
SPEAKER_05: I'm the teacher.
1:19:57
SPEAKER_05: Only I know we are we are watching ourselves.
1:19:59
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:19:59
SPEAKER_05: So while everybody is praying, me and the teacher will be watching ourselves.
1:20:02
SPEAKER_05: When we finish, I won't say anything, the teacher won't say anything.
1:20:04
SPEAKER_05: There's peace.
1:20:05
SPEAKER_01: Don't ask, don't tell.
1:20:06
SPEAKER_05: Don't ask, don't tell.
1:20:08
SPEAKER_05: When I got to class five, I met a man who said he's going to beat religion into me.
1:20:12
SPEAKER_05: And that's the worst thing you can tell.
1:20:14
SPEAKER_05: That Mr.
1:20:14
SPEAKER_05: Henson.
1:20:14
SPEAKER_05: Mr.
1:20:15
SPEAKER_05: Henson, yes.
1:20:15
SPEAKER_02: Ah, okay.
1:20:16
SPEAKER_05: Right.
1:20:16
SPEAKER_05: So him, dear, he's going to beat the stubbornness out of me.
1:20:21
SPEAKER_05: Why am I not a Christian?
1:20:22
SPEAKER_05: How can I say I'm not a Christian?
1:20:25
unknown: Right?
1:20:26
SPEAKER_05: I'm not a Muslim, I'm not a Christian.
1:20:27
SPEAKER_05: Class five.
1:20:29
unknown: Right?
1:20:30
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
1:20:31
SPEAKER_05: So it's like that means there's something wrong with me.
1:20:33
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
1:20:33
SPEAKER_05: He's going to cane me.
1:20:34
SPEAKER_05: He had a cane, Mr.
1:20:35
SPEAKER_05: Silencer.
1:20:36
SPEAKER_05: So he's going to cane me until I accept whatever he's saying, including religion.
1:20:45
SPEAKER_05: I accept what you teach us in class, the science, the geography, the history.
1:20:48
SPEAKER_05: But the religion there is not for me.
1:20:50
SPEAKER_05: I don't know how.
1:20:51
SPEAKER_05: From the earliest age, I was so sure that this thing is not for me.
1:20:55
SPEAKER_05: It might be for everybody else in the world.
1:20:57
SPEAKER_05: You guys can do.
1:20:58
SPEAKER_05: And I don't, I like I said, I am envious of people who are religious because they have so much faith.
1:21:06
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they can take it without any doubt.
1:21:09
SPEAKER_05: And I wish I had that much blind faith.
1:21:11
SPEAKER_05: I wish I had it.
1:21:12
SPEAKER_05: I wish I could lean on blind faith, but I've denied myself that thing.
1:21:17
SPEAKER_05: So I have to work so much harder to find that.
1:21:20
SPEAKER_05: And it's telling it's a lot of unnecessary work.
1:21:22
SPEAKER_05: So I envy those who have it.
1:21:24
SPEAKER_01: Because they've chosen the easier way.
1:21:27
SPEAKER_01: But do something for me.
1:21:28
SPEAKER_05: And I'll say that faith is a great thing.
1:21:30
SPEAKER_05: If there's any positive to any religion, it is the faith that it gives you.
1:21:36
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:21:37
SPEAKER_05: Faith is a great thing.
1:21:38
SPEAKER_05: It doesn't matter whether the faith is based on a lie or that faith is a great thing.
1:21:45
SPEAKER_04: Right?
1:21:45
SPEAKER_05: It's like you can tell your children, when you grow up, you are going to be great.
1:21:48
SPEAKER_05: Your mother didn't know that for a fact.
1:21:50
SPEAKER_05: Maybe it was a lie.
1:21:51
SPEAKER_05: If you hadn't turned out great, it would have been a lie.
1:21:53
SPEAKER_01: It would have been a lie.
1:21:54
SPEAKER_05: But right?
1:21:55
SPEAKER_05: It's a great thing.
1:21:56
SPEAKER_05: So, like you are saying, in your case, the faith your mother instilled in you is as powerful as religion.
1:22:05
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:22:05
SPEAKER_05: So, I mean, I think it is a great thing.
1:22:08
SPEAKER_05: So I I am not anti-religion because I know it gives many people a lot of impetus, a lot of strength to face the world, to overcome things, right?
1:22:20
SPEAKER_05: But I personally cannot accept things that I know are not true.
1:22:27
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:22:27
SPEAKER_05: It's just I can't do it.
1:22:29
SPEAKER_05: I can't fool myself.
1:22:30
SPEAKER_05: It's like, and I feel I'm fooling myself.
1:22:32
SPEAKER_05: So for me, religion is not for me.
1:22:34
SPEAKER_05: You know, it's not that I think if you follow religion, no, it's your choice.
1:22:38
SPEAKER_05: It's your personal choice.
1:22:39
SPEAKER_05: Yes.
1:22:39
SPEAKER_05: Everybody has that personal choice.
1:22:41
SPEAKER_05: And I don't, I have friends of all faiths and all religions.
1:22:45
SPEAKER_05: We don't talk about religion, right?
1:22:48
SPEAKER_05: Because we know we disagree.
1:22:54
SPEAKER_05: So what I mean is I'm I won't.
1:22:56
SPEAKER_05: People will exclude me because I'm not a Christian, right?
1:23:00
SPEAKER_05: I won't exclude anybody because they are Christian.
1:23:02
SPEAKER_05: I'll look at the way you treat me.
1:23:04
SPEAKER_05: If I like the way you treat me, you will be my friend.
1:23:07
SPEAKER_05: If I don't like the way you treat me, I don't care about how you treat God or Jesus.
1:23:11
SPEAKER_05: It's not me.
1:23:11
SPEAKER_05: So maybe you treat God well, you treat Jesus well, but you treat the fellow human beings around you badly.
1:23:16
SPEAKER_05: You are not my friend.
1:23:18
SPEAKER_05: Me, I'm looking at how you treat the people around you, including me.
1:23:21
SPEAKER_05: That is what is going to define my relationship with you.
1:23:25
SPEAKER_01: What was the word?
1:23:25
SPEAKER_01: Meritocracy.
1:23:26
SPEAKER_05: Yes, we are in a meritocracy.
1:23:28
SPEAKER_01: Yes, not a democracy.
1:23:30
SPEAKER_00: Or a theocracy.
1:23:33
SPEAKER_00: Take it, take it.
1:23:34
SPEAKER_00: Oh, Tale, it's been a great pleasure.
1:23:36
SPEAKER_01: Just do one thing for me.
1:23:38
SPEAKER_01: Give the person watching one piece of advice that you believe will shift them to the right mindset for success.
1:23:45
SPEAKER_05: Choose something that you love doing.
1:23:48
SPEAKER_05: So you will never get tired of doing it.
1:23:50
SPEAKER_05: To be successful, you've got to do something again and again and again and again.
1:23:55
SPEAKER_05: You can't stop when it gets hard.
1:23:57
SPEAKER_05: You can't give up.
1:23:59
SPEAKER_05: So choose to do something that you love so much that nobody in this world can discourage you or nothing in this world can make you stop.
1:24:09
SPEAKER_05: Because success is always just around the corner.
1:24:13
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:24:14
SPEAKER_05: No matter where you are, success is around the corner.
1:24:16
SPEAKER_05: It might be in 20 years' time, it might be in 30 years' time.
1:24:21
SPEAKER_05: But as long as you keep digging that same hole, and because you love digging that hole, you won't think of giving up.
1:24:29
SPEAKER_05: It's for me the saddest thing is you can only give up your dreams if you don't love that dream.
1:24:37
SPEAKER_05: But if you love that dream, you will never give up.
1:24:39
SPEAKER_05: So choose a dream.
1:24:40
SPEAKER_05: Choose, you know, it's like, what am I going to be when I grow up?
1:24:44
SPEAKER_05: Telly, be what you love doing, right?
1:24:46
SPEAKER_05: So that you can be the hardest working.
1:24:49
SPEAKER_05: If you love being a doctor, telly, you will work 12 hours a day and you will love it.
1:24:55
SPEAKER_05: You know, so don't be a doctor because you think, oh, a doctor is a prestigious job.
1:24:59
SPEAKER_05: Become a doctor because you love healing people.
1:25:03
SPEAKER_05: Then if it's going to take you eight years of going to school to get there, you will do it with your eyes closed.
1:25:09
SPEAKER_05: No, whatever you have to do to get to where you want to be, because you love to be there, is easy to do.
1:25:16
SPEAKER_05: As soon as you and I'm not saying life is about doing things that are easy, right?
1:25:22
SPEAKER_05: We all have to do things that are difficult.
1:25:25
SPEAKER_05: But if you don't love something, you can't do it more than everybody else around you.
1:25:33
SPEAKER_05: And to excel at something, you need to practice more than everybody else around you.
1:25:37
SPEAKER_05: You need to research more than everybody else around you.
1:25:40
SPEAKER_05: You need to, you know, if you want to be the best pianist in the world, tell you, you just need to practice more than anybody else around you.
1:25:46
SPEAKER_05: So it's got if it's if I want to be a piano player and I love playing the piano, telly, I'll rehearse six hours a day, every day for 20 years.
1:25:53
SPEAKER_05: At the end of that 20 years, telly, come and try me.
1:25:56
SPEAKER_05: I'll be a dawn.
1:25:57
SPEAKER_05: You know, but it's got to be something you love.
1:25:59
SPEAKER_05: So choose what you love.
1:26:04
SPEAKER_05: Whether it is work, whether it's hobbies, whether it's partners, whether it's friends.
1:26:12
SPEAKER_05: You know, choose what you love from deep within you, right?
1:26:16
SPEAKER_05: And then Aleya, I have have friends.
1:26:19
SPEAKER_05: We've been friends for 50 years.
1:26:21
SPEAKER_01: You know what?
1:26:22
SPEAKER_01: I've decided something.
1:26:23
SPEAKER_01: You have a religion.
1:26:24
SPEAKER_05: Love.
1:26:25
SPEAKER_05: Love is my religion, yes.
1:26:27
SPEAKER_05: I believe that.
1:26:28
SPEAKER_05: I I know love is my religion.
1:26:30
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
1:26:31
SPEAKER_05: So I have a blind faith in religion.
1:26:34
SPEAKER_05: Because yes, I have a blind faith in love.
1:26:38
SPEAKER_05: Because you revere, you cherish, you honor, you respect, right?
1:26:48
SPEAKER_05: You are kind to what you love.
1:26:50
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:26:51
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:26:51
SPEAKER_05: And that's all the world needs, right?
1:26:54
SPEAKER_05: Respect, honor, cherish, you know, love uh, you know, kindness, right?
1:27:01
SPEAKER_05: If we have more of that, Charlie, we will all enjoy this world more.
1:27:06
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:27:06
SPEAKER_05: Right?
1:27:06
SPEAKER_05: So, yes, love is my religion.
1:27:09
SPEAKER_05: Thank you for reminding me or making it stick in my head.
1:27:12
SPEAKER_05: I always say God is love, but love is my religion is a better way of putting it.
1:27:16
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I like that.
1:27:17
SPEAKER_01: Please, I'll come and join your church.
1:27:19
SPEAKER_00: Naked I came on, that's it.
