- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: You heard everything.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: A man who knows a good song when he hears it, just as much as a good diamond when he sees it.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: You're gonna diamond!
- 0:28[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, I do.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_05]: Great diamond.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_05]: I get a diamond, and that makes me happy.

- 2:18[SPEAKER_04]: See me through.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_04]: Once again, from 2002, you're song the day designated drinker, Alan Jackson, and George straight.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_04]: 4, 6, 4, 5, 6, 8, 5.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_04]: One is bad.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_04]: Ten is good, texturating, and Rick Hayman's starter, Hayman jewelers song of the day.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_04]: Haven't heard that song much.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_03]: You've you are you very filed into that one seat?
- 2:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not a first.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_05]: I love Alan Jackson though.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_03]: I heard it there's a little bit of background background.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_03]: What you heard was it a music slash strings like a steel guitar.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_03]: It was it.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was it musically.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, jumped out.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I must say it's slide guitar, some of that, and some of it's probably just conventional guitar.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_05]: It was nice.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_05]: The Hammond B3 might be in that.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_03]: This guy looks like it.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_03]: Sips, learning old.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_03]: I'm hungry.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the song doesn't catch me, my show isn't getting me going to my show.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_03]: It was well done, songs well done, not real familiar with it.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_03]: So something new.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_03]: So I like it and bass lines of five, I could get it to a six, four, two.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_05]: Did it contra any memories of lost love, lost heartache?
- 3:32[SPEAKER_03]: Not really.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_03]: No, it didn't really stir a bunch of emotion with me either.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't, uh, no, no, his focus on the strength.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_03]: But there was some, there was some, some things about it artistically.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_03]: It was very good.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: So it's okay.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_03]: It's four from Bill.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_05]: My baseline's way higher.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't want to like it.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_05]: I usually don't like those sort of standard heartache songs, you know, this sort of trait.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_05]: but God dang that as well done.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_05]: Alan Jackson is unbelievable.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm a baseline eight.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_05]: The music was exquisite.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_05]: I mean that it musically and it's incredibly well done because that's what he does.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_05]: And who's the one guy who's the guy who's the guy with the guy with the king of countries with him.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_05]: But Alan Jackson is the star of that song.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_05]: That's a song now.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_05]: It sounds pretty convincing.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_05]: Alan Jackson's has heart broke a couple times.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_03]: The Desneade drinker tonight.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_05]: God.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_04]: I get to a 911 911.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to go with the five one.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_04]: Did do much for me.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_04]: I like country music.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_04]: I'm heartless.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_04]: I'm more into it than I was 10 years ago.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_04]: But that didn't do much for me.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_04]: Well, let's go to Connor.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_04]: Connor liked it.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_05]: I know nine seven eight love that song don't just spend him for that.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_04]: Well, we are now joined by Rick Hayman Rick and morning pretty solid scores today for a designated drinker by Alan Jackson George tray.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I can't believe it.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's great.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's great.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: I know the coach wanted to go lower, but he couldn't so no six four's pretty good.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_03]: That's not even it's not being put in words of my mouth.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, let's not do that.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, don't do that.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: You were trying there a little bit, but you just couldn't resist.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: But thank you.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you very much and my gosh, what a ring storm, huh?
- 5:29[SPEAKER_04]: Are you flutted in Ashland, Rick?
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, I'm not in action.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in Loddy Dog.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's why we're going to do some Loddy Dog songs for the next few weeks.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: I left just in time, but it's going to hit here this weekend.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: So we already had about seven inches of rain out there last week.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: I can't even imagine what it's like now.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_05]: Sound like you're a space captain.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it does sound like it ricked.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_05]: He's flying to move the moon in.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_05]: He's just looking, are you in orbit?
- 6:00[SPEAKER_05]: Sounds like you sound like George Jetson.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: Do I, I'm sorry, I forgot my head, uh, you're fine.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_05]: All right, we sound, we can hear you.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, your voice sounds fine.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just talking through my phone.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to point something out.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: The, the, the doesn't get recognized.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: And these guys are going to love this.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: There, there's a whole world on YouTube during the show.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: And we call ourselves the invisible stool.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: And,
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: uh... there's a whole copy group of guys and gals they're on there every day and if you're not on there uh... breaker listeners you should be because it's hilarious and we have a great time and we all support each other and you know some people are going through good times some people are going through bad times and we're all there uh... for each other so uh... check out the youtube screen
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: and the invisible stool.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's fun.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_04]: It's very deep in there.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_04]: This is very deep.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and we did like having coffee with your buddies in the morning.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: So we have, we have fun conversations and just wanted to point out how to say thank you.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, your point about the raining snow earlier,
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's how it was like when we were kids.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if sipping and coach remember this, but back when we were kids, man, it would start snowing in November and it didn't quit until April.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I remember that, you're right.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: And it would go up the side of the house and I had a paper out back then and it was insanity trying to get the papers out.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: So the brass has changed a lot of it's weather pattern.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, we used to get a lot more snow that there's no doubt about that.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_05]: I'm sure it's recorded and it's that you could verify it fairly easily.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, Alan Jackson and George straight, I defy anybody to tell me which one is which.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: I've listened to this song and I never used to listen to the country music.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: So a little bit way back when, but all of this stuff to me is new, a lot of y'all.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: And this is all I really listen to down here.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: This and in Reggae and some other stuff.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: Alan Jackson is out of the one of the greatest songwriters, singers of all time.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: And his story, which I'm going to tell him just a second, is fantastic, but the they sound exactly a life.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: I can't tell the difference between the two voices and they're both just excellent.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: So George straight and Alan Jackson, how do you get to those two on the same song?
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: So Jackson grew up in Georgia, but then he moved to Tennessee, got married to his high school sweetheart.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: He had his first job was on the Nashville network.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember that TV channel?
- 9:00[SPEAKER_05]: Yep, I do.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: He worked in the mail room and he would go sit in the audience during the taping
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: TNNs, you can be a star.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: They had a show called, you can be a star where they would do a singing competition with celebrity judges.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: And on one episode in 1986, 27-year-old Alan Jackson got picked out of the audience to come up and sing a song as an out-trow to a commercial break.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: And he's saying he stopped loving her today by George Jones.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: And he earned a round of applause
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: who then went on to become his producer.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: And Denise's wife was a flight attendant.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: She ran into Glen Campbell on a plane ride, Drake's favorite, and requested advice for her husband, Campbell handed her the business part of his manager and told her to give him a call.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: So eventually,
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: through all of that, he ended up signing with Aristotle Records, which was Clyde Davis.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think he was the first country music star that Clyde Davis ever signed.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, he was because they had just started a Nashville branch, and Clyde Davis just died recently, and he was responsible for people like Whitney Houston and many others.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: It didn't chart and then it's that eventually he started to hit and he put out a stave you out of them called here in the real world.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: And that song called Chase on that neon rainbow.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, God, it's a song.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that one.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, what a life.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: And he's still married to the
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: uh... you know before he became a star uh... with the family they they built a house over the of the old two shit and his mother still live there till she died in twenty seventeen so uh... amazing an amazing career now he has a disease and he just played his very last show
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: And this disease is hereditary and it's some strange thing.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's called Charcot, Marie Tuth disease, but it causes the tendons to pull the bones back.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: So he can't even use his hand anymore and when he's stood to play in that show that I watched the last concert, he has to have one of those little standstools where he's kind of leaning on it.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: amazing artist and one true American treasure that we should really appreciate.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: So with that in mind, some stickers and a coat.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_04]: There you go.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_04]: Sips first.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: Alan Jackson has had the following number of billboard hot country songs, singles.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: These are singles.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: 15 47 or 66.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it is so hard to say.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_05]: I'll go 47.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_05]: You're going to see the 60.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_04]: I guess 47.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_05]: Jason that neon rainbow is the best one.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, fraud.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many great ones.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's unbelievable.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: Coach.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: Overkill.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: How many of those songs hit number one out of 66?
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: 19 that way to get a numbers point out hold it I want to fire one out to see if I can get it on the on we try to do that try to get it on on the nose you're pretty good at that uh... if that's you mean twenty thirty five or twenty seven twenty seven uh... you got to see if thirty five number one pretty good for a good for a solid rare solace pretty good rather
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: And for everybody is Alan Jackson, yes or no, in the grand old offering, yes, he better be absolutely green diamond, brilliant job one right now for a day.
