Teen Faces Court Over E-Scooter Crash | Cork News
A 16-year-old faces serious charges after a high-speed e-scooter crash in Kildare last July left a 9-year-old with a chronic leg injury. The teen, who was 15 at the time, appeared in Dublin’s Children’s Court without legal representation due to ongoing solicitor strikes, and has yet to enter a plea. Prosecutors are pushing for Circuit Court trial unless he pleads guilty, while the judge hopes legal aid issues will be resolved before his next hearing on September 23rd.
