- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back to the show, Sarah.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: Hello, thanks for having me back.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, it's every day's crazy, right?
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: Every fucking day.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's like eight hundred on the news and it's fucking crazy.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's pretty bizarre, like, I got texts and messages from everybody in their mother of the giant thing in front of the White House for the.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, right.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: Fighting.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I just, I don't even know what to say.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, like, I'm just like, I'm not that out of words.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like, yeah, it's fucking crazy.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, so there's a bunch of things we're going to talk about today, but before we get into the meet, I just want to say for all the people who have followed me specifically on Facebook, my mom went to the emergency room last Friday.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: Her fucking blood pressure was 250 over 124.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: which is like death territory, stroke and death territory.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: So she wound up spending the night at the hospital.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: They couldn't find anything wrong with her.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: They checked her thyroid, they checked her heart, they did an EKG, she went to her doctor yesterday, nothing's wrong with her heart.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: and basically long short what she thinks this is is she has had bouts of chronic fatigue and chronic fatigue syndrome for approximately 15 years and there's maybe been five times where she said episodes and this one was absolutely the worst but because her blood pressure was never gotten this high before.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, so she's okay, knock on wood, she's okay.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, it was just scary and upsetting.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: But I will say at the end when we're finished with our politics conversation, I want to talk about a person I found on YouTube that I really like while I was kind of going through all of this, which was actually very helpful to me, so anyway.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: But, okay, I want to just, let's see, where should we even start?
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: Should we start off with the,
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: With the past, I want to say I'm glad your mom is home and she's like, yeah, I'm glad she's like, that was scary.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm glad.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, thank you.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even let you say anything.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: I just feel like that's my I always feel like I don't want to bug everybody too much with my personal stuff, but thank you.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate it.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's always upsetting when your parent is in the hospital.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: So that's not fun.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: I hate it.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: And um, okay, so I want to tell, oh, even if, you know, I forgot this one, fucking Pam Bondi has been diagnosed with cancer, but have you seen the dow?
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's saying that.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: Of course they are.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: And then it's like, it's funny.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm sorry, but not it's not funny.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, but not sorry.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like, right.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: I have lost my favorite humans on this earth to cancer, can't do cancer's no fucking joke, it fucking sucks, but Goddamn it.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: That woman is taking, took everyone's pain in this economy and was like, but look at the dough.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, it was in, it was in appropriate response.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I mean, I don't care that I'm not being original.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: Fuck her, anyway, yeah.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: So, moving on, no.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so Donald Trump got, you know, what's the word?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: Endorses, Paxton, and Pa, okay, so I also MM on X, okay, Twitter, I should say Twitter, MM on Twitter says, can Paxton one star county taxes with 73% of the vote?
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's the total shalacking until you realize only 90 Republicans turned out to vote.
- 4:13[UNKNOWN]: Ha ha ha ha!
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: Only 90!
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, okay, it was in that...
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: uh, wherever they were, but um, it's not like all of Texas.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: I wish would not be funny of all of Texas only 90 Republicans, but it was just in that one little area.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: Now, um, okay, I'm just going to say I obviously trumps endorsement.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: Um, it was described as the most powerful force in politics by Pakistan himself, uh, described Trump's endorsement.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure Paxon said that.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, it probably picked as the most powerful endorsement.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's like picture and Trump like thrust into him with his lack of a penis.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be, yeah, Jesus Christ, these people.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, whatever they, it's like,
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: I know, well, this will be studied and like, oh, yeah.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: Pointing years, it'll be like, what the fuck was this cold?
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: And like, every time they're like, oh, this was the best.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: And he's doing everything.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: Trump is the best ever.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, what the fuck?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: I know, it's insane, isn't it?
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know what, okay, for instance, there's this woman.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: that I don't know a personally, but she's a fucking lunatic maga.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: And when I say lunatic, it goes beyond her politics because things that she posts are like some conspiracy theory guy who's claiming that, okay, let me see if I can get this right, that John Bene Ramsey,
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: isn't dead and it's really Katy Perry and then and then Marilyn Monroe didn't die it was really um oh god what's what was Andy Warhol and then he goes he does he has these videos to prove his point and like maybe he'll find a spot on a face and he'll circle and say see this proves that Marilyn Monroe is really Andy Warhol
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: And she posts this shit.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: So, black job, she's a fucking, she's beyond political act job, she's like all the way into act job.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: And she reposted the, I guess the White House did that thing where they threw Colbert into the garbage.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: Now, this woman is also Catholic and always posts Bible verses.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, you know,
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: They don't even see their own hypocrisy.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: If Joe Biden had done this to anybody, which of course he wouldn't.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: Of course he wouldn't.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: No democratic president.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, no Republican president before Donald Trump would ever post shit like this.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: And they betrayed it or repost it.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then if Biden were to do it, they would be all fucking aghast.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't just disgusting to see how they be, I can't even, I can't get over it.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: No, they embrace it, it's like the prolification of our entire system.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and like anyone who's leaning into that on the left can go find themselves.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: I said, like, fuck you.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: We always love a dirty Sarah.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: Ms. Profane Sarah, we just never can get enough, but I think what's interesting here now Ken Paxton who was impeached by his own party now.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean all of these things that on on his resume Very like easily line up a thermal trump, right?
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: and peached but not removed, just horrible, hurt, you know, forgives, pedophiles.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I don't know that he's a pedophile, but he's certainly a pedophile, friendly, right?
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: And especially now, since he's gotten the endorsement from the biggest one in the country.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: So you've got this on the Republican side.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: And then you've got Tyler Rico.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think Tyler Rico is a fascinating,
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: character because he's you know what my mom said and I agree with her.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: She thinks like she she said the the best Democrat that she can compare him to is Jimmy Carter.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's a good comparison.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a too.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great comparison.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because he's he is Christian left and you know, I mean, I'm not a Christian at all.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't raised with religion.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't buy into it at all.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: However, it doesn't bother me.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like when Joe Biden would talk about his faith,
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: because he doesn't force it on me.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't bother me.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: So when Talleriko talks about, I mean, God, and then Talleriko was talking about abortion, and I don't know if you saw that.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: You must have seen that clip, but he was basically saying, well, it was never mentioned in the Bible.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: It was.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, you know, it's not my place to say anything.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: Now, what I find interesting, this is what I want to ask you, because I know you were raised in a religious
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: loving, you know, family members.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just, you know, specifically, you're okay.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: Now let me ask you a question, the way that you are raised, where you informed the abortion was bad or where you informed that it should be left up to the woman.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: It was bad.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: I was afraid that it was bad.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: So now, do you think,
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: that let's just say members of your family.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to get into specific people, but just members of your family who were raised with that religion, and then they see new laws that allow for women to die.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: They have to keep, I don't want to say allow, that force women to carry dead fetuses and put their own lives at risk.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: And if they get into abortion, they could go to jail or whatever.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think that people who you know, whether it's in your family or not,
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: Would listen to Tala Riko and say, look, I see what's going on, I see where people have been imprisoned or whatever it is, you know, left for dead or died because they couldn't get the medical care that they needed, do you think they would go still go with their Republican Party who just says it's bad and it should be outlawed or do you think they would listen to someone like Tala Riko who is religious and telling them you get to make your own choice.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: they would go a tellerita, and they went with Biden too, so it's like, right, it comes down to, what's happening to Republican parties, they're pushing the actual Christians out.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: They're pushing the actual Christians.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: To the center, maybe to the left, definitely out of Maga.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: So the ones that are left in Maga, they'll call themselves Christians.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, I can put on
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, you know, a basketball jersey and say I play for the WNBA.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't mean that I play for the right thing.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: These people can post a Bible verse on their, on their Twitter or whatever, and it doesn't make some Christian.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and then what's interesting, too, is, you know, as soon as this was, this race was called, all of the big name, you know, colors and politics about where things are, have taken, um, Texas into what was it likely Republican into leaning Republican.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: And people like Charlotte Climer, and I can't remember who else I know.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: I did not watch it, but I was informed that on MS said, I think it, I don't know which show was MS now.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: Just talking about, um, and it might have been on Chris Hayes,
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody was talking about Tyler Rico saying he's going to win or he's got really good chances.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: Now this is Texas.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: We all get happy about Texas and then we all get to support Betto came really, really close.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: But I think there is a difference and I want to know what you see the differences between Betto and Tyler Rico.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: But I think there is a difference between the two.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: but it comes off a little more lefty in your face.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: Whereas, Talorico comes off more measured and sent an like center left.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: And then he's got the whole religious angle.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: And he's got the religious angle.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I think in Texas that really does play, I do.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: 100% of those.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: Texas, the South, everywhere.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, they're going to try to rip them to shreds, you know, they're going to do their dirty tricks and they're going to try to say everything that they can, but I think, you know, this guy has a really special quality about him.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: He knows he knows what he's doing.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think there were, I, whether I think it was Parkham, a lawyer who posted on Blue Sky saying something like, you know, I can't believe that he's being ripped by the left because he's he thanked John Coranan.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know what?
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: I disagree.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think we should tear him up for that.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: I understand what he's doing.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's really fucking smart because he's reaching across the aisle.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that we're walking a fine line here right now because we've got all these people in the country who are just so divisive and they're so angry and they put us in a situation that are
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: that are causing so many people to suffer, whether it's financial suffering, it's always having to do with financial, but it's, you know, healthcare, whatever it is, abortion rights, immigration rights, all these things people are suffering.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: And okay, I'm completely losing my point.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: Where was I?
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: What did I just say?
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I hate when people, when we're kind of like periodic, we're in this divided point.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think it's extremely important, especially in leadership in the Democratic Party, that we find as many voters as we can get, right?
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: And so,
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: Some of those voters, like I doubt we're going to get many mega voters.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: So we don't have to worry about that, but we do want more voters.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's just, if we don't vote, if we don't get voters, we don't win.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: If we don't win, nothing can happen.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: So for demonizing a lot of people, I mean, am I okay?
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: So for instance, I live in Connecticut.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: And there is a Democratic primary because the primary
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: He was able to rally enough support to be on the ballot in August.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: This is causing the internal rift and Connecticut.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the thing, I love it.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, I am with the opponent.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: I love the new guy.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: Ned Lamont's been around for two, two terms, and he's a billionaire who's bought the election every time.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: And nothing has changed your taxes have gone up.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, but there's such a purity test within the party itself in Connecticut that it's like they're being so awful to this other guy who is a Democrat.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, we need to really look in and word at ourselves as a party because like, the Republicans are fucking locked up.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: They are locked up and they are able to do that.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: And did you see the latest attack on Talleriko from Steven Miller, who I call the bulls, later, cur bulls or whatever?
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah, go bulls.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: Calling him like, trying to turn gender candidate.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just like, trying to turn gender candidate.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, first of all, what the fuck?
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: But secondly, this is their thing.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what I've been facing, like working with campaigns and stuff like that, the biggest thing on the ground with Republicans right now is the transgender issue.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_01]: Democrats need to really fucking get a hold of that, because it's awful.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: And we're dreaming people awful.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: And they were, what, I know what they were doing with that.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: I know what Miller was doing with that.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's testing it to see if it sticks.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then they're going to run with that in Texas to make him like,
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: the transgender transgender loving candidate so that people vote against them.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: They're using the trans issue.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it is.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it's just, it's disgusting how Republican party is just politicizing and weaponizing ways that people are.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I mean, the ways they were born, ways that
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: weaponizing who people are.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's disgusting and yeah, I hope I hope that that backfires I hope it doesn't take but you know we just can expect absolutely the worst out of all of them but going back to what I said I think too that we have to and how can I say this?
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, I mean, we all know that independence are the ones who are basically going to decide the elections.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: And so a lot of them are right- and leaning.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's really important that, like, for instance, with Tala Riko, saying, thank you, John Corneon, okay?
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: So think about what that looks like to an independent voter who voted for Corneon.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: And so exactly.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's like that, then that voter goes, you know, maybe they're an asshole and maybe they're going to hate Talleriko no matter what he does.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: But then there's going to be that independent who is open.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: And so this guy's not too bad.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's not one of those radical leftists or whatever they think, you know.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: whatever they think.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but yeah, that's I think it's it's like we have to remember that because you know we there's so much knee jerk in emotional reaction out there and I know that there are I know that there are trolls.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: I know that there are body counts.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: I mean we just saw a report that there's all these new Russians Russian trolls on blue sky
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: So we always have to take that into account.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it's just really important that we remember that we're all here together.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: We're all living in the American House together.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: We share a big house in America.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: And so, Telerika was saying, hey, we're all here.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna do what's good for you, no matter how you voted.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm grateful for the people who can't be for me.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's a fucking smart.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I think you read State Democratic Campaign.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you ask to do.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to win.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: you have to run that way.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what a lot of people like up here in the north don't understand about Texas in the south.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, you almost strip away parties at that point and you're just voting for the candidate.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what you have to do.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: You have to run as a candidate and not as a party.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: You have to appeal to the voters.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: Well, uh, I guess we'll see, you know, we'll see what happens in, uh, Texas, it's going to be interesting and it's, I'll tell you, I will not, I do not want to deal with that night.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I wish, I wish I could, I won't do it, but I just wish I could take a fucking sleeping pill and wake up the next day because I'm gonna, it's, I can, the last election we went through left, not in my stomach for six weeks.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_00]: My mother was going to move to Portugal.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: My 79-year-old mother was going to move to Portugal.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: Thankfully, she did not, and we're past that point now.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_00]: She's not leaving the country no matter what happens, but it was just so fucking awful.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, I'm going to switch it over.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: Have you heard about the new proposed bill in North Carolina?
- 18:56[SPEAKER_00]: about women, the abortion one, that was like, at fertilization.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Republicans.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: So basically, it was a bill was introduced.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: It was on May 15th.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_00]: Republicans would amend the North Carolina cursed attusion to declare that a distinct and separate human life begins at the moment of fertilization.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: So basically, somebody can legally kill a woman.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: for having an abortion or getting an IUD, right?
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's anything, right?
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, maybe not getting an IUD.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: Is this, this wouldn't necessarily have with, have to do with birth control?
- 19:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's so absurd that I don't think I know.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_01]: I wrote a satire article for my own website, and it was,
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think I said Kansas or whatever.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: I just picked a red state and I was like Kansas legislature introduces bill to make life begin at the sparkle in a dad's eye or something like a sparkle in a man's eye a twinkle in his eyes right like that and it was so absurd and of course Yeah, it was that tire and like but now we're like we're edging closer.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's kind of it's really scary.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, so yeah, and like what does this mean?
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: So if a woman is pregnant and she doesn't want to be
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: somebody could just go up and shoot her.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: And that's legal.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: But here's the thing.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, wait, like my mind is going crazy because it's against a lot of murder somebody, but it would be legal to kill somebody carrying a person that they calling a person, but then that person inside
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: Look, what the fuck is this law?
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: By their logic, yeah.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's, I can't even.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see something here.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's a good thing.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: The person, the person that gets raped is going to have a hurtful punishment than the person who did it.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's usually the case anyway.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: Whether it's not so obvious.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: Um, it says the bill grabs every person the right to use deadly force to defend the life of another person from the willful destruction, which combined with the bill's murder classification for abortion would legally permit a third party to kill a woman seeking an abortion in the name of self defense.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: So yes, okay, you've got a pregnant woman and under their definition that pregnant woman has got a person in her, right?
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to kill her.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: They should up as they go.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: And so they're not going to kill her.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: They're killing magic.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: They're killing the fetus.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're not.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this doesn't make any sense.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: I can't imagine the stupid fucking bill would pass.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's not in the Bible.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: This is not in the Bible.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's never going by the Old Testament.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: Life will begin at first breath.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: But they don't care what the Bible is.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: But the New Testament is never mentioned.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: They don't care what the Bible says.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: I did not see just it.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they don't care.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: They're just making the shit up as they go along.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: And like they always do, they use the Bible as justification for their hate.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: And it's, and they're disgusting behavior.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: It's awful.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, like when I started talking about all this shit back in 2012, it was, you know, I started with with rock the slut vote because I wrote an open letter to Rush Limbaugh from a from a liberal slut and this woman created this, she was a boomer and she created rock the slut vote because she's like, I can't believe what I'm seeing and you know, every all, all us woman are going to reclaim that word slut because fuck you were public and party and it was funny too because my dad,
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I had said something to my father and mother, you know, like, should I do this and they're like, yeah, do it.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: And then afterward in 2012 when Obama won, my dad's like, well, that said it's all over.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, what?
- 22:40[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, well, the whole slip thing is over.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, what?
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so, dad.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: And so, yeah, my dad was wrong about that.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like, I thought that
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we would ask we progress as a country that we take a few steps forward, take a step back, take a few steps forward, take a step back.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: But instead, we've just taken all these steps back.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: Now, now we just live in this country where they're threatening to create, you know, to pass legislation, we could just murder women legally.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: Sure, pretty soon.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: When they're gonna be like, I looked at this woman in a bar, I thought about sleeping with her.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I thought, if I got a pregnant sheet probably have an abortion, so I'm going to kill her.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm going to be vulnerable.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's, we need these laws for men.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: I know, well, you know, we live in a patriarchy right now.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: So we don't get those laws.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: And it's so funny because I just want to clarify one more time for people who don't really know.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: When we talk about matrarchy, I don't want people at least on my show and when I talk about it online.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: I am not talking about only women ruling.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about a culture that is based on protecting the most vulnerable, the circle around the most vulnerable.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I always go to the fact that the Democratic Party is the one who puts out patriarchal legislation no matter if it's a man or woman who does it.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: you know Obama put out the A.C.A.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_00]: that is matriarchal legislation.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's taken care of each other.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: He wanted to go further than the bill actually went.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, the idea was well in time, right?
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think Roma Manuel was someone who wanted to take out the Medicare for all option.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_00]: But whatever that, the single payer option.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, unfortunately, a lot of centers, Democrats killed that and it could have just been there.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it just makes me so mad.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: So you take a look at somebody like Obama and he's matriarchal.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: So it doesn't just mean women are ruling everything.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the opposite of patriarchy.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's just that we take care of each other, each other.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's correct.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, what they think of,
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: people think of as matriarchy is they're looking at through a patriarchal lens or like we're just a patriarchal, we're just going to flip it, right?
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be women in church and women are like, no, that's still the patriarchal right?
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, what we're thinking is this is a circular mindset where we're all in this together.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and taking care of each other, you know, making sure that, I mean, it's so awful as I, you know, I'm dealing with aging parents and they're broken up, right?
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: My parents split up in the 70s.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: So my mom's single, my dad's remarried.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's, you know, thankfully, my dad has another family that I can share the, uh, I don't know, you know, responsibility of an aging parent with.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_00]: With my mother, it's just all me.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: And so I would, I wish we had better
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: just everything better to take care of the elderly in this country.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's usually humiliating.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's like when my mother, and this is just small, but when my mom was dealing with what she was dealing with, the young woman doctor who was a good doctor and meant well.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know, kept saying, because of your age, because of your age, because my mom's would go, would you steep?
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: Please stop framing everything because of my age.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: And she was like, you know, this is this happened to me in my 60s.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: This is just a recurring problem.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's, you know, sure I'm old.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't need to be reminded every five seconds anyway.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: But it's just the idea of, you know, I mean, I like, I can't remember if I saw this on Facebook and I don't know if it was a fantasy or if they did it in some northern land country or something, but it was just like this whole community for people who had Alzheimer's and dementia.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like an enclosed community with restaurants and movie theaters and parks and things.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: So if no one's going to get lost, everybody's going to be taking care of it's, you know,
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: caring, taking care of people.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: And that's important because I remember the first time I ever heard the term elder abuse.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even know what it meant.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: I just didn't even understand what that meant.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: I do now obviously, but I was very young when I heard it, but it was like, oh, because yeah.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's like people are fucking cruel and it's like, we need to figure out ways
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: Handle, you know, all these people who are aging and need help.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of these times, like, and these, like, centers and whatnot, it's like, they're not paid well.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: So you're not going to be attracting the best.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the candidates were exactly.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I mean, in my own family, um, my wife and her family, like her aging parents, and then they have her grandmother also still living with them.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: She's 105 years old.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: But like, because of the way things are,
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, one of those, like, catch 22, where you don't make, you make too little to go to a pool, you make, or it's like, it's one of those, and it's, it's really, really hard.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: And we do not have a system.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: And now, and also in Connecticut, and this is a direct endorsement for anything, but Ned Lamont, we tax Social Security.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: So our own money, we tax it on our seniors, and our seniors are on a fixed income.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_01]: So well, their taxed income is so security, and seniors are receiving less money.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're also raising property taxes on their homes.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, yeah, what are you doing?
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna, we're gonna have all these seniors on the street.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's insane.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, God.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God, we've got to fix everything.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like now, now, now, now, now, now.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, sorry, I got passionate about that.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: No, we have to be a link with personally, right?
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: Right, right.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: Never have to be sorry, but just, you know, let's just cross over to the fact
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: Going after, I'd say the DOJ is going after EGN Carroll.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: So they're investigating EGN Carroll now.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: Of course.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, of course.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: So she was supposed to pay her 83 million.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't paid her anything.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: And now she's under investigation.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: There's a person in my life who will, I'm not going to say who, but every time we hear about Epstein, every time we hear about any kind of sexual assault, this person says, and of course, this person is a man.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_00]: This person says, why don't these victims come forward?
- 29:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just like, they do.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: But they don't always because of shit like this.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: What does this tell the next woman who comes forward?
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: That I'm gonna have to go through all this fucking shit because a man assaulted me.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_00]: And it's, you know, I mean, not only do you have to go through perhaps being, you know, investigated by the department of justice, you know, you're gonna be getting dead.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: For something that happened to you, like it's so awful, like it's the awful,
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's just the worst, I know the worst.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, Adam Parkmanco had said, Donald Trump is sending the Justice Department after a woman he raped.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, I don't believe this is gonna get past any kind of grand jury.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they've already decided they had a trial and they decided that she won.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: So I can't imagine, but you know, who the hell knows?
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's weaponizing the government.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just disgusting because I, you know, we're seeing it unfold all the time.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: Now, this is going to kind of bring me, we can always go back to this, but I'm just going to say that, you know, it's funny because like, have you noticed, I think you must have noticed.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: If you've got eyes, the uptake and social posts about Donald Trump dying, like they're everywhere now, they're everywhere.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're propping us.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're propping us.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_00]: Well, but it's also fucking like, yeah, Rick Wilson did Trump is dying.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: And then it made me laugh because Keith Edwards, I posted the song, but it's guy, but like I'm scrolling through YouTube.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: And I see this Keith Edwards video.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: And the thumbnail is the picture of Donald Trump with his, you know, mouth slouching to the side.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's a big arrow pointing to the big yellow thing.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's his clickbait.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's fun.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: I know, but I didn't watch my video.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: I get that, but the thing is, is it's everywhere.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like you're seeing everybody talking about Trump dying.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: We got, like, clickbait or not.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, I feel like there's like this thing where we're like trying to speak it into existence.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then, of course, there's always the people who want to come on.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: and spring to you and say, whoa, if he does, it's going to be worse or if he does, it's like, you know what, I've said this before and I'm going to say it again, there is the unknown factor.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody knows exactly how this is going to affect everybody.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we all know there's going to be a big party, you know, the world's going to celebrate blah, blah, blah, but there is, you know, then there's some predictable things.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_00]: We know some things that are going to happen.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_00]: that it's going to be a vance, right?
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I know that I've heard other people arguing that maybe there would be an alternative, but it would be vance.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be vance.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's Peter Teele's guy.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: And setting this whole thing out.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_00]: And so when it is vance, I think we can expect what appears to be a more normal presidency.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_00]: It won't be, but it'll look a little bit more normal than Donald Trump for sure.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_00]: but there's the unknown factor.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_00]: One thing we do know, they're going to continue to be fascist.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: But maybe they're just Donald Trump has his own bombastic way of behaving in this world.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_00]: And that's not the way of all of these oligarchs.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the way of J.D.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: Vance.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: J.D.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: Vance called him Hitler.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I just, you know, it's like, I do though, I think that
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: There's the unexpected thing that we're not going to, that we can't predict, we just can't predict because it's such a big fucking deal.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, I look at all of this stuff happening right now and I wonder, like, it trumps dead.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: Are they still gonna go after eating Carol?
- 33:03[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know what I mean like, is that gonna happen?
- 33:05[SPEAKER_00]: Probably not.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: How much does this shit get washed up?
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's still gonna be anti-women.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: We're still gonna see the Republican Party acting like fucking lunatics.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like, I just think when Donald Trump dies and he's just getting worse.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_00]: Every day, I was like, you know, I know my boyfriend Bob Cesca, I can hear him sometimes when he's doing his show and plus we talk about things.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, he's like, I heard him on a show yesterday saying,
- 33:32[SPEAKER_00]: Ever, he's not going to be any better.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: How can I say, how did he say it?
- 33:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like each day he gets worse, right?
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: So he's so sick because he's got congestive heart failure.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's got, he's probably in the end stages of heart failure.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's probably in the end stages of dementia.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_00]: And so each and every day he's progressively worse than the last.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_00]: So today is the best version of him we're going to get.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_00]: Tomorrow we'll be the best version because he's just going to keep getting worse.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then he is going to fucking die at some point.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know when, but he's going to die.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think that there is so much focus on it right now, because I think, number one, you're right.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's a preparation.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_00]: And number two, I think that's also, let's just speak it into existence because, oh my God, we're going to get a fucking die.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: and I think that it's like the combination of both, but as far as preparing us, did you, did you, I think it might have been disproven and I'm not sure, but did you read that Robert Reich thing that they were talking about the 25th Amendment that they were fantasizing about it, the right wingers?
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: Did you, did you read that piece?
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: No, I didn't like that.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: It was just a bunch of basically he knows a couple of high-level right-wingers who were kind of fantasizing, not saying this is happening, but fantasizing with the idea that, um,
- 34:51[SPEAKER_00]: Vance would be talking to people like Rubio and Hegseth and promising them things because they just, you know, they don't need everybody in the cabinet to invoke the 25th and so they don't need a certain amount.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't necessarily know that that's happening, but I think what it, you know, we're seeing behind the scenes like for instance, Meghan Kelly, interestingly.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so first of all, the abstine stuff comes out and she's like, well, it's different when you're it's different when you're 12, you know, it's like it's different when you're 15 it's okay for 50 year old men to rape 50 that's all she's said, but that's what she implied it's okay if the girl's 15 not 12 and and because we found out the girl some of the girls were 15 and then so she's basically
- 35:35[SPEAKER_00]: defending Donald Trump and defending Epstein.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then sometimes we're defending pedophilia, basically.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, even though she has children of that age.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_00]: And then sometime later, then Trump says he's going to obliterate, you know, part of the world and her reaction, that day.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_00]: was if he drops a nuclear bomb, I'm voting for I'm still going to vote for Republican.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then later that day, later that day, she came out and said, he's, I can't remember what she said about him specifically, but that he was basically crazy.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_00]: What he's saying is insane.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_00]: And her tone changed in a day.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_00]: And now, she's going around saying he's cheated on all his wives.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_00]: And if you think he was faithful to Melania, which we know he wasn't because he was about stormy Daniels, we all know that she's like, you know, there's something wrong with you or whatever.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_00]: So she's turning on Trump now and it's not that she's turning on Trump.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: She's basically just rebranding because why the writing is on the wall.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: The writing's on the wall is becoming more popular to be against him, absolutely.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: and tuck it Carlson.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Candice Owens.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're all turning.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then you have people like Martha Taylor Greene and Tom Massey and which I really hope that like Kornin and like Massey and all these lame duck people.
- 37:01[UNKNOWN]: Fuck him up.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: Go and talk him up.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that would be great.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_00]: That would be so good.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: I would just be loving that.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, and it's not too good.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think late.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, like trying to late late, you know, do it.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: Do it, do it, do it, do it.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my God, well, okay, so I want to.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: kind of go off into this thing of when my mom was going to her shit, you know, and I was just like trying to not panic, you know, and I didn't, I never panicked and I, I maintained, but I found this YouTube channel and the girl, okay, it's about a, she's a 24-year-old girl.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_00]: And she, let me find my notes.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so she goes by it's Lana Serene Life.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: All it's L-A-N-A, Lana Serene Life, if anybody's interested, and I doubt many people will be interested, but there is reason I'm bringing her up.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I found her because I think there was a video that said,
- 38:05[SPEAKER_00]: Not married, no children, no friends.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: And then the little thumbnail said alone, but not lonely.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I thought, okay, let me check this out.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_00]: So I just became completely mesmerized with this woman.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_00]: She started her YouTube channel six months ago.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: She's already got almost 100,000 followers.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: and she just does these like little 11, 12, maybe sometimes for 25 minutes, but they're not very long videos of her life.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: And she talks about how, you know, it's I'm not going to get into the whole thing about why she doesn't have any friends, but she's been burned before and she's also a very sensitive person.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_00]: She's the sweetest person and she lives in Ontario, Canada and she's like, there's no fucking polite.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's unbelievable.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, because like she'll go into the doughnut shop and she'll say like me I please have a maple bar please.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much me a please have this Please, please think it's like oh my god how many please isn't thank you's were in there like the day of the nicest people on the fucking planet I know not everybody in Canada is perfect, but they're so fucking polite
- 39:01[SPEAKER_01]: My best friend's Canadian, I totally get it.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I think she's just so, and she's so sweet, she's only 24 years old, and she loves Snoopy, and you get a piece of her life.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: So you're in her apartment, and she just shares her life.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: She'll take you out on rides and take you to the bookstore.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: But the reason I'm really interested in her,
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's because she talks about romanticizing your life and that's kind of what I want to focus on and especially during these times.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_00]: I want to end the show on something that feels good or feels more positive.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I like watching her videos because number one, she puts them together well.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: They are very soothing.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_00]: They are very calming.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_00]: They have a cozy feel.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_00]: She's good at what she does.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_00]: At least according to me, you know, we all have our favorites, like there's a whole thing with cozy vibe videos on YouTube and they're not all for me Some of them, I'm just not interested, so like each person's gonna have the same, but I love her vibe and so She talks about romanticizing her life and like in this one particular video, she loves to drink everything out of a wine glass and she loves ice Like she likes it either ice ice ice ice cold or very very hot
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: So this one particular evening she's talking about how, you know, I'm going to make some cookies for myself.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: So she goes into the freezer and she gets her, you know, pre-made cookie dough and she makes like five cookies and then she gets a wine glass and fills it with ice and puts milk in it and she's like, if you know, you know, which I always love milk with ice.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_00]: But, uh, and then, you know, she just shows herself sitting there on her couch, dipping her cookies into her milk and
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: romanticizing that or going to her favorite location like lake spot and sitting at a bench and just looking at it nature.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_00]: Little things going into the bookstore all day and just having fun walking around, you know,
- 40:56[SPEAKER_00]: reading little bits of books and these little things that, you know, we kind of take for granted and we don't really think about, nobody thinks, oh, yeah, I'd like to have a sweet treat, but to really make a big deal out of it and make it fancy.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's a way to
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: get us through some of these really stressful times.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I know I've asked you before, you know, what do you like to do?
- 41:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm, I want to, I want to hear some arcs.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_00]: I know like walking in nature.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: But like what are things that you do that sue with you?
- 41:30[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's so important to feel soothe today because when we look online or when we listen to the news, you know, our nervous system sounds like fall apart.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_01]: What's so funny is when you were saying that all I could think of was how she is is treat yourself the way you want to be treated.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what it is.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and and then like one of the things that she was saying was, you know, she's not necessarily going to be alone forever.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: She's just kind of she decided that I'm going to do this for a while.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't that's where she is in this space and she's not going to be miserable in that space.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_01]: right.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_01]: I really know I admire that I think.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah and and she's discovering herself and what's so interesting is you know I always like to talk about how we manifest and I've really discovered recently it's it's still not will will it's not this will will thing it's just
- 42:20[SPEAKER_00]: like it's like what our internal baseline is.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_00]: So, like, for instance, when my mom was going through her stuff, you know, I normally what happens to me and it was raining and I hate driving in the rain and I get terrified of it.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_00]: So, normally when these kinds of things will happen to my mother, I start panicking and I start thinking she's going to die and I start thinking all of the, you know,
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: Horrible things that could happen.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you start stacking this and that and this and that and I didn't do it I just didn't do it and so I look at this girl and I feel like you know
- 43:02[SPEAKER_00]: when something happens to her because she's talked about it, like she'll have an incident happen that's upsetting to her.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_00]: And then she'll talk about how she deals with it.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's really like what she does is she just kind of decides that after she has her little panic attack or freak out attack or whatever it is,
- 43:21[SPEAKER_00]: She allows herself to feel what she feels, but then she goes back to just remembering who she is.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_00]: Now, she's not coming from any kind of quantum or anything like that.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: She's just who I am, like, let's just get to the center of who I am and let's just get back to me.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's such a good advice and she's only 24 years old, but I think as far as how she's choosing to be intentional and everything that she does and join herself,
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: finding joy and little things, we all really could learn from that because it's made me appreciate little things to the degree where I found these packets, the sound so dumb.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_00]: But I found these packets at the store and it's just crystallized lemon.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's all it is.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_00]: And so I have been putting it in a water.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: And it tastes so fucking good.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_00]: I put a little bit of stevia in there.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_00]: And then sorry, I put a little sweet.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like it too sweet, but just that tastes this sweet with the lemon and it's kind of like lemonade.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: And it just, it feels good because it's a, you know, there's nothing unhealthy in it.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a healthy thing to keep at your side all day long.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I,
- 44:31[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of take it, I've taken a note from her playbook, and I'm like, I'm romanticizing my life by getting in enough water, enjoying the water, and feeling really fortunate that I've got this water.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, I'm really, I'm really appreciating that.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's good when we do things like that because it kind of takes us out of all this fucking drama.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, even if it's just for a minute.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: I love mowing my lawn, and it's gonna sound,
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: silly I guess but like when I'm doing yard work it's all I think about like I'm on my little John dear when I'm pushing my lawnmower yeah we have a John dear tractor you can imagine my six foot frame on that thing going around I'm like a toddler I'm gonna lose my little cars like a Barbie car it's funny my wife takes a picture of laughs at me at the time but
- 45:22[SPEAKER_01]: but it works and then whatever.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: But like when I'm doing the art work, it's like that boy when I'm weadwaking or whatever.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's like that's what I'm doing.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm thinking about.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: My brain is not thinking about work.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's not thinking about what the asshole and the White House is doing.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's not thinking about anything, but what I'm doing.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_01]: The same thing with my greenhouse, like when I'm in there and focusing on like, you know, I gotta get these leaves off the soil, like I gotta get, you know, all these things that you need to do when you're cultivating, you know, like my five peppers
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: I want to feed myself, and I cannot eat like a single-puffer for some more.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's like substance, but like, it makes me feel good, so yeah.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it's like, those things are important, and I, you know, saying something to Bob, like, there's so many videos about cozyness, and he's like, yeah, because times are fucking hard, and people just want to feel cozy, and it's so true.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's like there's this other girl that I watch.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: She's all they're all younger than me.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_00]: But I think she's like in her 30s and and she does have a really cozy vibe and I like watching her videos.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_00]: But the one thing I don't like about her is she spends a lot of time buying things and then showing you what she bought.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_00]: it's a lot too.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: She gets, she gets a lot of, I think she's probably got about 98,000 subscribers on YouTube, so she does get deals, you know, she gets all the pressure.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the brands send her and and she'll unpack those and stuff like that, but it's like, but what she'll do is she'll go to stores like Target, which I have not gone to since the election, but she'll
- 47:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then she'll be like, here's what I bought and here's all my new clothes and then it's like like I'd show like link them and for you to get them and she gets these pajamas and they're like 500 dollar pajamas and it's like it just it's after a while is just boring I don't give a shit about how many things she bought you know what I mean, but it's like it's still she's got this cozy vibe going and one of the things that she does I like I love watching people cook and that she actually like she also likes to color so I have I am a terrible artist.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_00]: terrible.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I bought a coloring book, and I bought a bunch of magic markers, and so now I color two, and it's like, it's just it's so soothing to just I just hold it myself, like showing people what I buy and it would be like me at lows.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_00]: I like bird seed and mulch and like.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, an outlet extender.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_00]: But people would watch that shit.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: They're telling you, I know I'm getting ideas.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, oh my gosh.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like you can't tell.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_00]: But what makes me laugh is they go to the store.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_00]: They take you with them to the store.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_00]: Not all of them, but like certain ones.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_00]: So then you see each thing they pick at the store.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_00]: And then they come home.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_00]: And then they show you their haul that you've already seen them purchase of the store, but then they show you I bought and then they touch it.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: I bought this lettuce and I bought this cucumber and I bought these tomatoes and I'm thinking of making this kind of salad and I got these oranges and I mean it's like, oh my god!
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: And people love to watch the haul!
- 48:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't give a shit about the haul.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care what you food you buy.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, I like watching people cook.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_00]: I like looking at different decor and I get ideas from decor.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_00]: I like stuff like that, you know, so I kind of like pick and choose what I watch.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, you could totally go to fucking lows.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_00]: You could film yourself going to lows.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_00]: I should find everything and then putting it all out on your counter and then going, I bought some bird seed and then explain that.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then I bought this wheelbarrow and explain the fact that I did get a wheelbarrow.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_00]: People will watch it.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_00]: There is an audience.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's the one thing right now.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we've got this social media and you just get to put up whatever you want and it's either going to work or it's not, but you'll always find a not an audience.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_00]: A big one or a small one, but there's always going to be an audience for you, you know.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_00]: But I think for you, if you did like a whole fucking YouTube channel with you, just taking care of your lawn.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be, you have to know how to edit, you have to know how, and I know you do.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's like my dogs are barking, I apologize.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I don't even hear them.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, you need a little bit.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_00]: You need to have that creative element when you're doing the editing and all that.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_00]: But if you can put, and you already know how to do it.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like, you know, people love that shit.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's just funny to me.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, that's just some of the things that I like to do.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and I just want to ask you a couple questions before we go, have you been watching Widows Bay?
- 49:51[SPEAKER_01]: No, I thought you're going to say that show I'm prime that everyone's watching, like the teeny bopper show that I absolutely have watched.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_01]: What is it?
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: Off campus.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_00]: Is it good?
- 50:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's very, very cute.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like,
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's a little steamy, but it's very cute, like, it's very healthy masculinity.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so like, for that reason alone, I recommend it.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_00]: And what, where do you find that?
- 50:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's on prime.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_00]: Prime.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not paying to say this either.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I just, I've been to it in one night.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_01]: It was really.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was, it was, and what's it called?
- 50:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'm writing it down.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's called off campus.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, they're in like college.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just young Rome.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_01]: It reminds me of like the young Rome comes from the nineties.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_01]: That kind of I'm okay.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm going to check that.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: I hate about you.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_00]: What is Bayes?
- 50:44[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing like that.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I know.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like is that the one with the guy.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_00]: He was on brothers and sisters.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_00]: Matthew, is it rice, rice, rice, rice, rice?
- 50:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm actually rice.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I think I've seen parts of it.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's good, it's really good.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's very entertaining.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_00]: And what I like about it is it's creepy and kind of funny.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: The episode that we watched last night was not funny.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_00]: It was just creepy.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_00]: But they're really good at the creep factor.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not like laugh out loud funny, although there are some laugh out loud moments.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's more parody.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but it's it's definitely very entertaining.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm trying to think I cannot fucking wait until August because the Ted Lasso thing comes back on to you you're You I need a catch up with Ted.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_01]: I only watch the first season.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_00]: You have to watch all of it.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's so fucking.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm joking.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know I wish I was you because then I'll just go watch it with fresh ice
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: But I had a beef with him and Olivia Wilde.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_01]: It was personal.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_00]: I know, I know.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was not that she was sort of...
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: I know either of them, but I'm mine too.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm just, I love Olivia Wilde.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: Is it because she was served while she was on stage?
- 51:55[SPEAKER_00]: It was, it's fucked up.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's fucked up.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly why.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, I heard that he had no choice on where she was served.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_00]: You can get a...
- 52:03[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that I don't know the details, but all I can say is I fucking love Ted Lasso I love that show and I'm so excited about the sequel or not the sequel, but you know the new season And I'm just trying to think of oh, and it's so funny because you know Bob and I have watched I just this will be the last thing, but Bob and I have watched girls like when I okay I just want to I just want to kind of talk about this with Lena Dunham because I feel like I did watch that show
- 52:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I initially I didn't want to because everyone had decided Lena Dunham was a fucking bitch and I didn't know anything about her and I just kind of allowed that collective opinion.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_00]: to sway how I felt about her.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't hate her or anything like that.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_00]: I just didn't give a shit.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_00]: And everybody was talking about girls and I wouldn't watch it.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_00]: So then I meet Bob and he's like, oh my god, you have to watch girls.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, finally I watch it and I like love the show.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's absolutely great.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, and so now we've watched a couple of times but Lena Dunham, which I'm reading her book and it's been a slow go because I haven't been listening.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_00]: I listen to her book, I don't read it.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_00]: But,
- 53:11[SPEAKER_00]: I have watched a lot of interviews with her since she wrote this book, and, you know, I just, I find it fascinating because I think what happened was people, it was a combination of a couple of things.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_00]: She wrote somewhere, I don't know if it was a book or whatever, but she had written that
- 53:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when she was little, something about her little sister, and I don't know, she touched her vagina, or she looked at it, or whatever she did.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_00]: She was curious little kid, and she looked at her sister's vagina, and she admitted it, and then everyone called her a pervert.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_00]: And she wasn't a pervert.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_00]: She was just a kid.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_00]: She was curious, like all kids are curious.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_00]: She wasn't like an adult doing weird things.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_00]: So there was that, and that's still sticks to her.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_00]: I still see people bringing that up.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_00]: But I think what they did was they assumed she was Hannah Horvath.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, Lena Donna was saying, she wrote Hannah Horvath to be toxic and a bad writer.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think she did it so wow that people assume it's her.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_00]: People just thought she was and it's so like we're watching it again.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_00]: And it's interesting because Adam Driver in that first season is just awful.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_01]: Very, very nice.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_00]: It was like, you know, the Marney character, I think it was in the second episode that they were going to, they were throwing a dinner party and Hannah was late and her friend Marney says,
- 54:43[SPEAKER_00]: which she's having gross sex with that animal.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_00]: They have gross ass sex on that show.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_00]: It is gross sex.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_00]: And it is raw and it's real.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, her character was a toxic, narcissistic fucking weirdo.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_00]: And she, but she was so good at it.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_00]: And like, she was so good that I think people were so bad.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_00]: Adam, Adam, I'm gonna say.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: Adam, I'm gonna say.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_00]: They were both so good.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's like it's just such a good show.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I think when you look at like you couldn't have had girls without sex in the city, but I think girls is a more intelligent or like the writing is more intelligent.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I love sex in the city.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_00]: Do not get me wrong.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_00]: I love now to criticize it and watch like hate watch it, but love watch it.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_00]: Hey watch it.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, that's been that I started watching sex in the city just recently again.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_01]: And all of my favorite characters changed.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_01]: What do you mean?
- 55:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm the girl now.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to see it all all day every day.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like, who were you in for?
- 55:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think I started as a Charlotte.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, I was a goody two shoes looking for a husband, like I was this is what I was going to do.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: And then I was like a little militant like Miranda for a while.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_01]: And then I kind of settled into a carry.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_01]: But then it was like, no, more Miranda and now I'm just like, yeah, Samantha, all the time.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_00]: I always saw my other shit together and she's just like, says it, she says it.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, she'll, and she is such a good friend.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like, she is a good friend.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she's not judgmental.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's what she's like, not my style.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and she's just she'll show up.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_01]: She'll be there even when she does want to be there.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_01]: And she doesn't judge.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, yeah, and I mean, I always saw myself when I first found that show and I completely fell in love with it back in Godwin was that was like 2003, I think, but I definitely identified as a carry and then I would say I had most, like the second was Miranda and then Samantha.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_00]: I've never been like a charlete.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_01]: I tell you it was a charlie only when I was like younger younger.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I never was a charlotte.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like early 20s.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I, there was one guy that I thought I was going to marry, but I, I never really gave a shit about getting married and I was never like her.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_00]: I, I was, I, it's definitely, I still think I am a little bit.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm very much like Miranda, but Miranda in the first six seasons and not, and just like that, because in just like that Miranda, I don't know what the fuck happened to her.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what the fuck happened to her, I don't know what the fuck happened to her.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_01]: And it was like, not a good, it was that representation of queer.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, it was like, what are you doing?
- 57:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was everything.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_00]: Everything about it was embarrassing.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_00]: Eventually, I think she got a little bit better, but yeah, I've always been that kind of cynical Miranda, but yeah, I mean, I just love watching the shit, like especially girls and really now I'm focusing on
- 57:56[SPEAKER_00]: the fact that Lena did them did such a good job with the entire show and then also with her specific character because she played her timing is so weird.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_00]: She's got like this really weird timing that makes it hilarious and I love the guy who plays Elijah and he and I forget his real name but he needs to be playing George Michael now.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yes.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_00]: He looks like George, like nobody, he's, okay, this guy was born to perform.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's so talented.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I know he doesn't look just like George Michael, but they could totally make him look like George Michael.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_00]: And he's got to do it now.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_01]: Is that the guy he's the singer?
- 58:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's from Broadway, right?
- 58:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember his room name.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_00]: I forget it, you know, but he plays amazing, and um, the Book of Mormon.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_00]: Book of Mormon, yes.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, he plays Elijah on the show.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_00]: And oh, and there's a movie coming out this Friday.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember the name of it, but I believe it's on Netflix, and it's with him, and Alison Jamie.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_00]: Janney, whatever.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know what it's called, but I'm going to watch it.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_01]: Just for Casanoan.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I was in Genie.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, exactly.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know what's funny?
- 59:05[SPEAKER_00]: When I first met Bob and I was asking him about like women, like actors who he found attractive, he named Allison Janney.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, wow, I was like really surprised.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll get it.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_00]: That made me happy.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like his tall and like...
- 59:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like she's just, yeah, sarcastic.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's just made me think, wow, he has a really mature view of women.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's not just looking for the young obvious one.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_01]: So that was now my dogs have crept into the office and they're like, oh, like a shark's.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm like, I'm a surfboard, yeah.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_00]: Mom, you've been on too long.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_00]: You have to come out and play with us now.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we're gonna let you go and hang out with your dogs.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I blame my wife.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_00]: She's at a town of work trips.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_00]: So that's all her fault.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_00]: Oh Sarah, it's just always a joy talking to you.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_00]: So like I always like, just tell everybody where you are, where do you find you?
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_01]: to find me on all of the socials at Sarah Wood writer, like writing things down, and at Sarah Wood on Blue Sky.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_01]: And, yeah, that's where you can find me.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_00]: Awesome, well, you know, we'll talk again, so until we do.
