- 0:17Speaker 2: Dogs and Sandwich, two of my favorite things. Welcome everybody,
- 0:25Speaker 2: live from Idaho and Michigan. This is Toreck Cast, the
- 0:29Speaker 2: Galaxy's most Unpredictable Star Trek podcast. Today on the show,
- 0:34Speaker 2: we are going to be talking about and reviewing the
- 0:38Speaker 2: Last Starfighter. Plus we've got Star Trek News, your listener feedback.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I'm Scott Bouders. And now look out, Hollywood, there's a
- 0:48Speaker 2: new celebrity interviewer sheriff in town. It's Daniel Reyes.
- 0:53Speaker 3: No, you were part of that interview too, you know
- 0:55Speaker 3: how it was.
- 0:55Speaker 2: But I was like the Andy Richter, Okay, you you
- 1:00Speaker 2: the Conan O'Brien, Okay. Number one. I just gotta say,
- 1:04Speaker 2: uh we we interviewed Doug Jones that that dropped last weekend.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Number First of all, congratulations, that was a that was
- 1:12Speaker 2: a good get.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a lot of fun.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a lot of fun.
- 1:17Speaker 3: It took everything I had to not yell his name
- 1:21Speaker 3: like the way the rapper Mike Jones yields his name.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah it was it was a lot of fun. You know. Yeah,
- 1:34Speaker 2: that's a good get.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a lot of fun. So yeah, and
- 1:37Speaker 3: that everybody.
- 1:38Speaker 2: That I talked to, a lot of my friends and
- 1:39Speaker 2: family saw the interview. And you know, even like my
- 1:42Speaker 2: non star Trek friends, you know that that saw us.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I have seen him in other things like you know,
- 1:49Speaker 2: because everybody's seen him. Everybody knows is they just don't.
- 1:53Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:54Speaker 3: My dad, who does not know celebrities, was pretty impressed.
- 1:59Speaker 3: I had to explain who Doug Jones was, and then
- 2:01Speaker 3: the onst I explained it, he was like, oh that guy, Wow,
- 2:05Speaker 3: you talked to him.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was. It was a lot of fun.
- 2:09Speaker 2: So if you haven't checked, if you haven't heard it
- 2:11Speaker 2: or seen it, uh we did that that drop last week,
- 2:14Speaker 2: so yeah.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, and it's still there, so go and check
- 2:18Speaker 3: it out. And then one thing I wanted to point
- 2:20Speaker 3: out is you know how I know that we're unpredictable?
- 2:22Speaker 3: Uh huh you're wearing a Star Wars short.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yes, I am, because one of the things I wanted
- 2:27Speaker 2: to talk about was the new Star Wars movie that's
- 2:30Speaker 2: coming out.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Okay, okay, so yeah, well we will get to that
- 2:34Speaker 3: for sure. And then, uh, you mean normal people, Scott according.
- 2:40Speaker 2: To yes, normal people by non star Trek.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Yes, that's right.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Yeah, oh man, Yeah, so you been like, we haven't
- 2:50Speaker 2: had a real show in a couple of weeks. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:55Speaker 2: it's been a while doing doing well. My wife and
- 2:58Speaker 2: I visited there's a it's called Frederick Meyer Gardens. It's
- 3:03Speaker 2: up in Grand Ramp. It's about an hour north of here,
- 3:06Speaker 2: and it's sort of this non profit. If anybody's familiar
- 3:10Speaker 2: to the Midwest, it's the same Meyer family from the
- 3:12Speaker 2: Meyer grocery stores. Meyer grocery stores are all in the Midwest.
- 3:16Speaker 2: They're they're a lot like a Walmart. They're kind of
- 3:18Speaker 2: saut the same groceries on one end and then general
- 3:20Speaker 2: merchants say on the other they're about the same size store.
- 3:23Speaker 3: We have a score like that here called fred Meyer.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Okay, yep, I'm familiar with that too. Yepah. A lot
- 3:29Speaker 2: of people confuse him because fred Meyer is the name
- 3:32Speaker 2: of our guy and fred Meyer is the name of
- 3:34Speaker 2: your guy, so right, But anyways, the gardens is something
- 3:38Speaker 2: that they built in the in the like the mid nineties,
- 3:40Speaker 2: and it's just like a sculpture park, outdoor sculpture park.
- 3:44Speaker 2: And one of the reasons we wanted to visit is
- 3:46Speaker 2: they had a butterfly exhibit, and it's basically a giant
- 3:52Speaker 2: series of interconnected where greenhouses and there are thousands of
- 3:57Speaker 2: butterflies just flying around your head, flying over.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Oh that's cool.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Yeah, of all different kinds of lies. So yeah, that
- 4:05Speaker 2: was a really cool experience.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Nice.
- 4:07Speaker 2: So, yeah, if you're in the if you're in like
- 4:09Speaker 2: the Greater Michigan area, I would definitely. It's the first
- 4:14Speaker 2: time i'd ever been there. So I used to work.
- 4:16Speaker 2: My wife and I met at the grocery store. Myer,
- 4:20Speaker 2: Oh wow, how that's how we met. So yeah, so
- 4:24Speaker 2: you were.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Like, what picking up produce and picking up ladies or
- 4:27Speaker 3: pretty much.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Yeah, she was. She was working at the at the
- 4:29Speaker 2: photo lab, and and I was a cashier, you know,
- 4:32Speaker 2: so every day I would walk, you know, the the
- 4:35Speaker 2: cash office was you had to go past the photo lab,
- 4:39Speaker 2: you know, to get your cash strawer. And every day
- 4:42Speaker 2: I just kind of, yeah, she's way out of my league.
- 4:45Speaker 2: But uh, one day I just you know, sort of
- 4:49Speaker 2: saw in the in the back by the time clock
- 4:51Speaker 2: and yeah, well what do you got to lose?
- 4:55Speaker 3: That's awesome. Yeah, that's awesome. Well, very good.
- 4:59Speaker 2: How about you are you doing?
- 5:01Speaker 3: Oh, I'm good. I'm good.
- 5:02Speaker 2: You know.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Uh, life is crazy here with work and writing, so okay,
- 5:08Speaker 3: we'll see what happens. We're not gonna have a show
- 5:11Speaker 3: next week. We're all kind of busy with stuff, so
- 5:13Speaker 3: no show next week. But other than that, yeah, everything's fine.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm going camping next week.
- 5:20Speaker 3: So oh nice. Yeah that'll be fun.
- 5:23Speaker 2: For the first camping trip of the year. We just
- 5:25Speaker 2: we bought a pop up last fall, haven't Oh we
- 5:27Speaker 2: haven't used it for camping, so yeah, this is kind
- 5:31Speaker 2: of a shakedown cruise.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Oh nice. Nice. Yeah, I want to go. There's a
- 5:36Speaker 3: place in southern Idaho. I forget the name of it,
- 5:39Speaker 3: but it's called, uh they call it a Blackout Forest,
- 5:43Speaker 3: and it's for like hundreds of miles, like square miles.
- 5:47Speaker 3: There is no light pollution. It is designed so you
- 5:50Speaker 3: can see the stars.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I like it.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Yeah, so I really want to go there. Yeah, it'd
- 5:57Speaker 3: be a lot of fun.
- 5:58Speaker 2: That'd be really cool. Yeah, there's know where you can
- 6:00Speaker 2: go anywhere anymore to Yeah, you know, there's always you're
- 6:05Speaker 2: always within, you know, a stone's throw of the big
- 6:07Speaker 2: city or you know, even small towns got lights and
- 6:10Speaker 2: you know, stuff like that. So yeah, yeah, that sounds
- 6:13Speaker 2: really cool.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Yeah, so all right, well should we get to the news.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Let's do it, okay, Star Trek News.
- 6:25Speaker 3: All right, so our first news story comes to us
- 6:28Speaker 3: from the Hollywood Reporter. And I don't know if you
- 6:32Speaker 3: saw we posted in the group last night on our
- 6:34Speaker 3: Facebook group, which if you guys are not part of
- 6:36Speaker 3: our Facebook group, should definitely be a part of it.
- 6:38Speaker 3: There's always all sorts of crazy things going on. But
- 6:42Speaker 3: according to The Hollywood Reporter, a new Star Trek Strange
- 6:46Speaker 3: New World season four trailer was released, and on top
- 6:50Speaker 3: of the trailer, we also got a release date for
- 6:54Speaker 3: season four.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:56Speaker 3: So yeah, so season four will be released July twenty third,
- 7:02Speaker 3: and so that's pretty cool. Yeah, so it'll be released
- 7:08Speaker 3: July twenty third. That's just a few months away. It's
- 7:10Speaker 3: pretty quick. It's coming, yeah, and then all ten episodes
- 7:15Speaker 3: will go through September. So yeah, we both saw the trailer.
- 7:22Speaker 3: It was a pretty fun trailer, I thought, I like,
- 7:26Speaker 3: but yeah, bunch of craziness. Yeah yeah, I mean it
- 7:30Speaker 3: didn't give too much about the story or anything really,
- 7:32Speaker 3: it was just just quick scenes to get you excited.
- 7:36Speaker 3: We saw a lot of looks like We're actually going
- 7:39Speaker 3: to see some strange new worlds. Yes, we are, finally, yeah, yep, yeah, yeah.
- 7:46Speaker 2: It was if you haven't seen the trailer, spoiler alert,
- 7:51Speaker 2: but yeah, there there was a t Rex. Yes, and
- 7:56Speaker 2: I like, they have a t rex?
- 8:00Speaker 3: Have a t Rex now rex?
- 8:02Speaker 2: Okay?
- 8:02Speaker 3: Yeah yeah. And so this was released at the c
- 8:07Speaker 3: c XP uh, a Mexican comic con that's going on
- 8:13Speaker 3: right now. A bunch of different trailers came out for me.
- 8:15Speaker 3: It's a big comic con over there in Mexico. There
- 8:18Speaker 3: was like a New Spider Noir trailer that came out,
- 8:22Speaker 3: and a few other ones.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Yep, that's the Nicholas Cage one.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Right, that's the Nicholas Cage one. Yeah. Yeah, this was
- 8:28Speaker 3: the colorized trailer. And we finally saw that he has
- 8:32Speaker 3: black webbing, so people were excited about that as well.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, grows. Yeah it looks like venom. So okay, yeah,
- 8:42Speaker 3: so there you go. So that's yeah, So that was that.
- 8:47Speaker 3: The next news story. I don't really have like a
- 8:49Speaker 3: graphic to show you guys, uh to go with it,
- 8:52Speaker 3: but it's something I wanted to bring up. There's a
- 8:55Speaker 3: there's a rumor going around right now. Rumor is brought
- 8:58Speaker 3: to us by the Taking on Pulse podcast that potentially
- 9:06Speaker 3: Paramount is looking to sell Starfleet Academy Season two and
- 9:11Speaker 3: potentially to Netflix, so that the ratings were so so
- 9:15Speaker 3: bad they don't even want to put it on Paramount. Plus,
- 9:20Speaker 3: they would rather try to recoup some of their money
- 9:22Speaker 3: by selling season two to Netflix. So the rumor is
- 9:28Speaker 3: that that it's more like feelers have gone out. It's
- 9:31Speaker 3: not a for sure thing that this is going to happen.
- 9:34Speaker 3: This would be very much in line what they did
- 9:36Speaker 3: with Prodigy, right right, Yeah, it's not clear if if
- 9:45Speaker 3: if Netflix would have the option to do a season
- 9:47Speaker 3: three if for some reason Starfleet Academy did gang poster numbers,
- 9:52Speaker 3: you know, because that was the deal with Prodigy, right
- 9:54Speaker 3: If if Prodigy did well, then you could they could
- 9:58Speaker 3: do a season three if they wanted to. But I
- 10:01Speaker 3: mean they're they've already torn down the sets. I don't
- 10:04Speaker 3: think a season three is gonna happen, regardless of how
- 10:06Speaker 3: good it does.
- 10:07Speaker 2: No, yeah, I mean yeah, it wasn't what it wasn't
- 10:12Speaker 2: well liked. I think there was a reason why it
- 10:14Speaker 2: wasn't well liked.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I you know, when you as you were telling
- 10:22Speaker 2: the story, my first thought was, if they don't sell this,
- 10:25Speaker 2: they're gonna batgirl it.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you know, I still think that's the possibility.
- 10:33Speaker 3: I will say this though, because you hear these kinds
- 10:37Speaker 3: of rumors, and and I've watched this guy and other
- 10:41Speaker 3: guys like him, a lot of these YouTubers that that
- 10:44Speaker 3: put out these rumors. They predict everything if you really
- 10:48Speaker 3: pay attention to what they're saying. So I have seen
- 10:52Speaker 3: somewhere they will say, oh, it's it's gonna be sold
- 10:54Speaker 3: for sure and go to go to Netflix. But if
- 10:57Speaker 3: it doesn't, it'll come out on Paramount Plus and and
- 11:01Speaker 3: it'll be released quietly. And you know, so they're predicting
- 11:04Speaker 3: both ways, and that would lay there. They can say, well,
- 11:07Speaker 3: the deal fell through and it just was released, Oh
- 11:10Speaker 3: okay whatever.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I mean, I could give you three options. So what's
- 11:13Speaker 2: gonna happen with that show? And I'm probably I'm ninety
- 11:15Speaker 2: nine point nine going to be right there. Yeah, back girl,
- 11:18Speaker 2: They're just gonna show it on Paramount Plus, or they're
- 11:21Speaker 2: gonna sell it to Netflix or another streamer. Yeah, I
- 11:24Speaker 2: mean you think that's gonna happen.
- 11:26Speaker 3: I could come out here and say, like, for sure,
- 11:28Speaker 3: a new Star Trek movie is gonna come out in
- 11:30Speaker 3: either twenty twenty seven, but if not, it'll get delay
- 11:33Speaker 3: to twenty twenty eight, maybe twenty twenty nine if they
- 11:36Speaker 3: got to do graphics, or maybe twenty thirty. And you
- 11:38Speaker 3: know what, I'll probably be ninety percent correct.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Right, you know, then we could go back. Did you
- 11:43Speaker 2: hear what Daniel said back in twenty twenty six? He
- 11:45Speaker 2: was right? He was right.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Yeah, So that's all this is. It's predicting everything, So
- 11:53Speaker 3: just be careful when you're listening to these things there.
- 11:56Speaker 3: And what's funny is they will do it in one
- 11:58Speaker 3: video where they'll predict one thing. I'll make another video
- 12:00Speaker 3: where they predict another thing. And then suddenly, when when
- 12:03Speaker 3: one of the options is right, when one of they
- 12:05Speaker 3: choose your own adventures would happen, they'll delete the past
- 12:08Speaker 3: videos where they were wrong, and they'll be like, look
- 12:11Speaker 3: how right I was all the time.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, that's how that's that's how old school like
- 12:17Speaker 2: get rich Quick follow my my investing advice would work.
- 12:22Speaker 2: They would send out mailers and say this stock is
- 12:26Speaker 2: going to go up, and then they you know, and
- 12:30Speaker 2: then they just send out mailers. The stock is going
- 12:33Speaker 2: to go down. Well, half the mailers they send out
- 12:35Speaker 2: were right. And then they send out more mailers and
- 12:37Speaker 2: do the same thing, split it up between up and down,
- 12:39Speaker 2: up and down. Well, they send out ten thousand mailers
- 12:42Speaker 2: by the end of the you know seven cycles that
- 12:45Speaker 2: it goes through. The thirty that were right at the end.
- 12:50Speaker 2: The people who got those mailers were like, my god,
- 12:52Speaker 2: he just predicted seven changes in the stock market. He
- 12:55Speaker 2: must be a genius. No, he just sends with the
- 12:59Speaker 2: stock mark.
- 13:00Speaker 3: It's worse than that. So I I used to I
- 13:02Speaker 3: used to watch all these like stock YouTubers that would
- 13:06Speaker 3: talk about the market and all this stuff, and they
- 13:08Speaker 3: would do a live trading in the morning. Right, So
- 13:13Speaker 3: they would go on and they're like, I'm gonna buy
- 13:16Speaker 3: this stock right now, and then they would click buy it.
- 13:19Speaker 3: But because there's a slight delay in your live broadcast
- 13:22Speaker 3: as it travels through the internet, maybe just ten seconds, right,
- 13:25Speaker 3: but there is a little bit of delay. I mean
- 13:27Speaker 3: we deal with that every now and then. Sure, right,
- 13:29Speaker 3: the little delay. But because of that, this guy will
- 13:33Speaker 3: buy it at a smaller price. Then all his audience
- 13:35Speaker 3: will see it. And so they jump in, which drives
- 13:38Speaker 3: the price up, and then he gets out of it
- 13:40Speaker 3: before they realize. Yeah, and so that's why that's what
- 13:44Speaker 3: they'll be like, Oh, I have an eighty five percent
- 13:46Speaker 3: success rate. Well yeah, no kidding. Your live audience is
- 13:50Speaker 3: follow you. Yeah, like yeah, and he'll sit there and
- 13:55Speaker 3: you know, like these guys will sit there and be like, look,
- 13:58Speaker 3: don't follow me, don't follow me. I really believe it's
- 14:00Speaker 3: about to pop.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, yeah, yeah, Well, I guess we'll see what
- 14:06Speaker 2: happens with I mean, at this point, it came, it
- 14:11Speaker 2: was here, it fizzled out, zom you know, next year
- 14:16Speaker 2: when it comes out. I mean, how many people are
- 14:20Speaker 2: gonna watch it?
- 14:22Speaker 3: I don't know, man, I don't think of very many people.
- 14:25Speaker 3: I think even less.
- 14:26Speaker 2: We're gonna be geeked about as soon as Strange New
- 14:28Speaker 2: World comes out. Everybody's gonna forget about Academy.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Oh for sure, they already have. Yeah, yeah, all right,
- 14:36Speaker 3: and then our last news story there is another. There's
- 14:41Speaker 3: gonna be a few of these. I think star Trek
- 14:43Speaker 3: Auction going on right now. This is for some of
- 14:45Speaker 3: the set pieces for Discovery and Starfleet Academy and all
- 14:50Speaker 3: this stuff. So this is going on at for four
- 14:54Speaker 3: oh three auction dot com, and so I wanted to
- 14:58Speaker 3: show some of this stuff. Yeah, there's the pickup times
- 15:02Speaker 3: you have to go to I think it's Ontario, Canada
- 15:05Speaker 3: to pick them up, so they're not gonna ship any
- 15:07Speaker 3: of this stuff to you. But there's like a prop
- 15:10Speaker 3: MRI machine.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 15:14Speaker 3: If you wanted that, you know, you could have got it.
- 15:18Speaker 3: There's a bunch of other stuff on here that I
- 15:21Speaker 3: just thought was ridiculous. You want some TVs, like actual
- 15:25Speaker 3: TVs that they used on the shows.
- 15:28Speaker 2: So like on the set for like for l card
- 15:31Speaker 2: displays and stuff.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Yeah, probably, or maybe even monitors off the whatever, you know,
- 15:40Speaker 3: computer to monitors do, like smaller ones that probably were
- 15:43Speaker 3: like el cars on like you know, tables and whatever.
- 15:47Speaker 2: How about just some stools, you know, I mean, yeah.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Here's a nice one decorative pedestal table.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:58Speaker 3: I think that was in SARU's room.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it's hard to say.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Well, it looked like there was a there's a regular
- 16:06Speaker 2: garbage can right there. Yeah, might have just been used
- 16:09Speaker 2: in the office.
- 16:10Speaker 3: I was gonna say, I think this is at my work,
- 16:13Speaker 3: right Yeah, But there's all there's all sorts of stuff. Right,
- 16:17Speaker 3: there's let's let's go to uh jump to page seven.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Let's see what's on page seven. Look at that more
- 16:26Speaker 3: Digital's plays tables. Yeah, what is that a guitar stand? No,
- 16:33Speaker 3: it's an LED floor lamp.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Okay, neat, we saw like they're they're they're also selling
- 16:43Speaker 2: uniforms and stuff. They're selling a lot of discovery stuff.
- 16:47Speaker 2: So I think we should start like a GoFundMe type thing,
- 16:53Speaker 2: and we all need to come together get some petty
- 16:55Speaker 2: cash from the trek Cast fund. And I saw Michael
- 16:58Speaker 2: burnham uniform, and I know how.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Much Dan loves Michael.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yes, and I can just can everybody picture him? And
- 17:08Speaker 2: I'm not saying anybody should have AI create this. No,
- 17:13Speaker 2: can anybody picture him wearing Michael Burnham's uniform? M I mean,
- 17:19Speaker 2: wouldn't that be a lovely sight?
- 17:21Speaker 3: I think that'd be glorious.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I think it would be amazing.
- 17:25Speaker 3: And uh, look at this Chancellor's office geometric rug thirteen
- 17:32Speaker 3: and a half by nine and a half feet.
- 17:35Speaker 2: That actually wouldn't look bad in my living room.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Well there you go. It's a pretty big rug, thirteen
- 17:41Speaker 3: and a half by nine and a half.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that would be a nice area rug.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I wonder which chancellor they mean? Do they mean
- 17:48Speaker 3: Starfleet Academy?
- 17:53Speaker 2: That does look like something that uh what's her face
- 17:56Speaker 2: might have in her quarter.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Here's a lot of four rug yeah that they're they're
- 18:04Speaker 3: definitely patterned.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so they Yeah, my wife and I were
- 18:09Speaker 2: looking through it yesterday and and they got a lot
- 18:12Speaker 2: of yeah, little props and you know, a lot of uniforms.
- 18:15Speaker 2: A lot of stuff starts at you know, in the
- 18:16Speaker 2: five hundred dollars range, thousand dollars range, and that's just
- 18:19Speaker 2: the starting bid.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Yeah, and then you have to go down Terry to
- 18:23Speaker 3: pick them up. They're not gonna ship.
- 18:24Speaker 2: It, right. That's the other if there's some sort of
- 18:30Speaker 2: service or agent or you know, like hey, if I
- 18:36Speaker 2: pay you, will you pick this up send it to
- 18:38Speaker 2: me kind of thing, you know.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Oh yeah, there is like an independent shippers that'll they'll
- 18:43Speaker 3: go to the area, pick it up and ship it
- 18:45Speaker 3: to you. But you got to pay for that too.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Right, right, Yeah, I mean cool.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Auction Yeah neat, Uh, you know, I don't I don't
- 18:56Speaker 3: know if people saw when I was like going through it,
- 18:58Speaker 3: but there was a twin mattress you goodbye.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Neat. I guess, I guess if you have some provedance
- 19:05Speaker 2: for that, you know who was? Who was?
- 19:09Speaker 3: Mattress was?
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yeah? Mattress was it?
- 19:11Speaker 4: You know?
- 19:11Speaker 2: Was it? If it was Starfleet Academy, then you know
- 19:15Speaker 2: there might have been some hanky panky.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe the magic Mattress.
- 19:20Speaker 2: It might have been the Magic Mattress. Yeah, yeah, Scott,
- 19:25Speaker 2: your mom listens to the show.
- 19:27Speaker 3: I know, I know, I look at that. You're even
- 19:28Speaker 3: sensing yourself now.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I was just talking to my mom about
- 19:32Speaker 2: that yesterday.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Oh what you would you say about that?
- 19:36Speaker 2: I said, do you hear it? When they say Scott?
- 19:38Speaker 2: She goes, yeah, I get a kick out of it.
- 19:40Speaker 3: That's funny. I was wondering if she did. All right, Well,
- 19:46Speaker 3: should we get to our main topic?
- 19:49Speaker 2: Yes, okay, and commenced the fun Yeah, let's.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Do it fun well now comment all right, boy, So
- 20:03Speaker 3: we are talking about the nineteen eighty four gem of
- 20:06Speaker 3: a movie, The Last Starfighter, which I had to put
- 20:10Speaker 3: you on blast in the group because you had never
- 20:13Speaker 3: seen this before.
- 20:13Speaker 2: No I got called out.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, a lot of people were pretty shocked by that.
- 20:20Speaker 1: You know.
- 20:20Speaker 2: I thought, well, maybe it's a movie that I saw,
- 20:22Speaker 2: you know once or twice when I was a kid,
- 20:24Speaker 2: and then never saw at Nope. I watched that movie
- 20:27Speaker 2: last night and i'd never seen any part of it.
- 20:30Speaker 2: The Last Starfighter starring Will Wheaton.
- 20:33Speaker 3: That's right, Will Wheaton news in there.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Yep, Yeah, he had. He had some spoken lines that
- 20:38Speaker 2: were deleted, and then you can briefly see him at
- 20:42Speaker 2: the beginning, and supposedly you can see him somewhere at
- 20:44Speaker 2: the end in the background, but I couldn't. I couldn't
- 20:46Speaker 2: spot him. Yeah.
- 20:49Speaker 3: This movie came out in nineteen eighty four. It had
- 20:51Speaker 3: a budget of fifteen million dollars and had a box
- 20:55Speaker 3: office of twenty eight point seven million, so it made
- 20:57Speaker 3: some money. Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Bad.
- 20:59Speaker 3: The premise is pretty simple if you haven't seen it.
- 21:03Speaker 3: It's basically a kid is so good at an arcade
- 21:06Speaker 3: game that it's actually used as a recruitment tool by
- 21:10Speaker 3: an alien space like federation, the like Coalition of Planets,
- 21:17Speaker 3: and they are fighting a war against an evil empire,
- 21:20Speaker 3: and so they use the game to recruit new starfighters
- 21:23Speaker 3: as they call them, you know, fighter pilots, and the
- 21:27Speaker 3: kid is the best ever, and so it gets recruited
- 21:30Speaker 3: and goes to fight in space.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Yep, pretty much pretty much.
- 21:36Speaker 3: I mean it's it's pretty simple.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's I was when ol is watching the movie,
- 21:43Speaker 2: I look over by if I'm like, Yep, they definitely
- 21:46Speaker 2: didn't have a Star Wars, but that was not industrial
- 21:49Speaker 2: lights and magic. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, although the animations, I
- 21:53Speaker 2: don't know if it's been remastered or what the animations,
- 21:57Speaker 2: because they're they used computer graphics for their exterior shots. Now,
- 22:04Speaker 2: it looked very animated. It had a very cartoon feel
- 22:08Speaker 2: to it, but it was very clean. It was very smooth.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Yeah, for the time period, it looked it looked all right.
- 22:17Speaker 2: It looked like a high end video game from like
- 22:19Speaker 2: the late nineties early two thousands. So I was sort
- 22:24Speaker 2: of impressed with what they did with what they got,
- 22:27Speaker 2: you know.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Yeah. One of my favorite bits in it is there's
- 22:32Speaker 3: a character named Centauri who's like the recruiter. He's also
- 22:36Speaker 3: the creator of the game. For those of you who
- 22:38Speaker 3: don't know, the actor that played him was an actor
- 22:41Speaker 3: named Robert Preston, who was also the music man from
- 22:48Speaker 3: the musical from the what is it fifty or sixty two?
- 22:52Speaker 2: Yeah? Oh okay, okay, Yeah, So he was a movie
- 22:56Speaker 2: that looked familiar that I couldn't I couldn't place.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Yep, Jazzmusin has got it the music man. Yes, so
- 23:03Speaker 3: he was the music man. Yeah, he's got trouble in
- 23:06Speaker 3: River City. So yeah, that was him. So Scott, it
- 23:12Speaker 3: was your first time watching it? Did you did you
- 23:14Speaker 3: like it? Did you not? What did you think?
- 23:15Speaker 2: I did enjoy it? I did enjoy it. Yeah. It
- 23:19Speaker 2: was a pretty straightforward plot. They didn't get you know,
- 23:23Speaker 2: they did. There weren't a whole lot of twists and
- 23:25Speaker 2: turns to the movie, but it was I was pleasantly surprised.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I thought that the makeup department did a fantastic job.
- 23:32Speaker 2: There was a lot of prosthetics. Oh yeah, it was
- 23:35Speaker 2: very prosthetic heavy.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Yeah, and I.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Thought they did a pretty good job for early mid eighties.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I mean it was it was I thought it was
- 23:45Speaker 2: Star Trek movie level prosthetic.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, so I think it did pretty good.
- 23:51Speaker 2: It was on them. I mean if they if I
- 23:52Speaker 2: had found out that Michael Westmore was involved, I wouldn't
- 23:55Speaker 2: have been surprised. It was that good.
- 23:57Speaker 3: So yeah, jazzmis is very exciting. I've I've seen this
- 24:00Speaker 3: movie a million times. Yeah, a lot of people love it.
- 24:03Speaker 3: It is very much a beloved cult classic. When we
- 24:06Speaker 3: put up in the group that we were going to
- 24:07Speaker 3: be watching it, so many people were excited. So many
- 24:12Speaker 3: people were like, Oh, I love this movie. I can't wait,
- 24:14Speaker 3: you know.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah. I did get called out for for
- 24:19Speaker 2: not having seen it. My good friend Aaron. She's like,
- 24:22Speaker 2: I'm disappointed.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, she.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Didn't know that I hadn't seen the movie. But yeah,
- 24:28Speaker 2: I enjoyed it. I don't know why I had never
- 24:30Speaker 2: seen it. I had, I was aware of it. The
- 24:32Speaker 2: Last star Fighter. Yeah, I think it might have been
- 24:37Speaker 2: one of those movies that just slipped under my radar
- 24:40Speaker 2: growing up.
- 24:41Speaker 3: He just can't watch everything, man, there's so much right. Yeah,
- 24:46Speaker 3: like I've never seen any of They know.
- 24:47Speaker 2: I'm a kind of guy. I love movies. I've never
- 24:49Speaker 2: seen The Godfather. What. Yeah, and I know I'm gonna
- 24:53Speaker 2: about I know I'm gonna get a bunch of hate
- 24:55Speaker 2: for that. Yeah. It just I haven't gotten around to
- 24:59Speaker 2: it yet. Yeah, I mean, I mean it's I I
- 25:02Speaker 2: have no doubt that I will see The Godfather. I
- 25:04Speaker 2: just haven't seen it yet.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Mm hmm, So what come at me? Yeah, I have
- 25:11Speaker 3: not seen this movie in years, right, And so when
- 25:13Speaker 3: I watched it, I kind of felt I don't know
- 25:17Speaker 3: if you if you got this vibe, but there's a
- 25:19Speaker 3: few places where I felt like they were about to
- 25:21Speaker 3: break out in song like it could have been.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it did have that feeling.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, like like when he's going for the high
- 25:31Speaker 3: score and everyone's all running around and all excited watching
- 25:35Speaker 3: him from the trailer park. Yeah, like I like, I
- 25:38Speaker 3: thought they were gonna do.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Like go for a song right there, He's gonna beat that,
- 25:41Speaker 2: Like the entire trailer park comes out, they gather, yeah,
- 25:44Speaker 2: the video game, and it's like the most exciting thing
- 25:48Speaker 2: that's happened to all these people in a very long time. Yeah.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. There's a few other places too where like
- 25:56Speaker 3: they're like victory is or death or victory something like that. Like, yeah,
- 26:02Speaker 3: there's quite a few places where I thought, oh man,
- 26:04Speaker 3: they could do a musical. And then like after I
- 26:07Speaker 3: got finished watching it, I thought, oh, I wonder if
- 26:10Speaker 3: anyone has done a musical. I wonder if you know,
- 26:12Speaker 3: maybe that's how you can bring it back as you know,
- 26:14Speaker 3: as a Broadway musical and revive it and then eventually
- 26:17Speaker 3: you could do a sequel. Well, lo and behold. I
- 26:20Speaker 3: found out that in twenty oh four, an off off
- 26:26Speaker 3: Broadway company did actually make a The Last star Fighter
- 26:31Speaker 3: a new musical.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Oh my god. Yeah.
- 26:35Speaker 3: It was by the Storm Theater in New York. There
- 26:39Speaker 3: are some recordings of it, like just snippets of it
- 26:43Speaker 3: on YouTube. So there wasn't enough that I could play
- 26:46Speaker 3: on the show or else I would. But for those
- 26:50Speaker 3: of you who are part of any musical groups or
- 26:54Speaker 3: theater companies out there, you can actually pay to get
- 26:59Speaker 3: the rights to form The Last Starfighter musical in your town.
- 27:05Speaker 3: What I understand is the rights are not very expensive.
- 27:08Speaker 3: You get to play all the music and all that.
- 27:10Speaker 3: There's even a youth version of it, a family friendly version. Yeah.
- 27:16Speaker 3: So if you, if you work with kids and you
- 27:18Speaker 3: do musical theater, you can do The Last Starfighter.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Guys. So I'll send an email to the calms of
- 27:24Speaker 2: civic who does the youth productions.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Well, my sister is very involved with the Christian Youth
- 27:29Speaker 3: theater in town. So I'm gonna bring this up because
- 27:33Speaker 3: I got to go to these plays. I want to
- 27:34Speaker 3: see The Last Starfighter, right yeah? Yeah, oh man, yeah,
- 27:42Speaker 3: it was it was.
- 27:43Speaker 2: It was fun, you know, obviously they you know, it
- 27:47Speaker 2: was heavily influenced by Star Wars, and the movie felt
- 27:56Speaker 2: part I mean, I know I've never seen it before,
- 27:58Speaker 2: but parts of the movie felt familiar, right, Like his
- 28:03Speaker 2: navigator kind of looked like the character from Enemy Mine.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah. But and again, the makeup job was was great,
- 28:16Speaker 2: you know, the props department. I thought I did a
- 28:19Speaker 2: pretty good job with some of the handheld weapons and
- 28:22Speaker 2: mm hmm. The design is the designs of the ships
- 28:25Speaker 2: and things. It was it was a lot of fun.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought it was a lot of fun too.
- 28:31Speaker 3: I've got a poll going right now, so I want
- 28:35Speaker 3: to I'm curious when people watch the Last Star Fighter musical.
- 28:38Speaker 3: So you can just type in the chat either one
- 28:41Speaker 3: or two one for hell yeaht two for no way.
- 28:44Speaker 3: So go ahead and and and cast your votes there
- 28:47Speaker 3: and let us know people curious immediately. Yeah, i'd see it.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Yeah I would as well. So, oh boy, I I
- 29:00Speaker 3: love that we can do these now polls on the fly.
- 29:02Speaker 3: That that's great.
- 29:03Speaker 2: That's great.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I love it.
- 29:05Speaker 2: So is that automatic when somebody types of one or two,
- 29:07Speaker 2: it automatically, it.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Just it just counts the vote. So it's a it's
- 29:11Speaker 3: a fair and just voting system.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Our production values going up, folks. So a little bit like,
- 29:16Speaker 2: a little bit like and subscribe.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Yeah, like and subscribe, you know, donate to the coffee
- 29:20Speaker 3: accounts so we can do more silly things like this.
- 29:23Speaker 3: But yeah, man, uh I I like the movie a lot.
- 29:28Speaker 3: There's I think the graphics more or less hold up.
- 29:32Speaker 3: I know, the prosthetics did the The aliens looked pretty good.
- 29:36Speaker 3: I thought they were a lot of fun. The storyline
- 29:38Speaker 3: I thought, I think is a lot of fun.
- 29:40Speaker 2: So the graphics, the exterior stuff. I was trying to
- 29:45Speaker 2: figure out what they use because, like I said, it
- 29:49Speaker 2: looked very sharp, very smooth. It looked animated. Yeah, yeah, almost,
- 29:54Speaker 2: you know, but it was I couldn't I couldn't compare
- 29:58Speaker 2: it to It didn't look like eighties Star Wars because
- 30:02Speaker 2: eight Star Wars used a physical mind. Yeah yeah, And
- 30:06Speaker 2: it didn't look like any modern ished CG I even
- 30:11Speaker 2: bad CGI. It didn't look real. It did look fake.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Did it look like the Dire Streets music video?
- 30:17Speaker 2: No? I okay, it looked it looked almost too smooth
- 30:22Speaker 2: too too, you know. Yeah, I don't know what I'm trying. Word,
- 30:27Speaker 2: I'm looking for but it looked too sharp, too smooth. Yeah,
- 30:30Speaker 2: but then I was looking at IMDb and they said
- 30:32Speaker 2: they used a special computer to make him. I forgot
- 30:35Speaker 2: the name of it, but it was state of the
- 30:38Speaker 2: art back then, so.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Of course, yeah, yeah, Well I I also looked up
- 30:43Speaker 3: because you know, I had some time and I thought, well,
- 30:46Speaker 3: has there been any attempts for a sequel? And there have? Actually,
- 30:53Speaker 3: instead of me telling you about it, I found a
- 30:55Speaker 3: clip from a podcast where what's his name, Lance Guest
- 31:00Speaker 3: who played Alex Rogan, the main character. He actually talked
- 31:04Speaker 3: a little bit about it, what the potential sequel was.
- 31:07Speaker 3: So why don't I play a clip from that and
- 31:08Speaker 3: that way we can get straight from the horse's mouth.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Boy.
- 31:11Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I I only know that it that that
- 31:17Speaker 5: that you know, there there there is, there is family involved,
- 31:21Speaker 5: and uh, there is a portion of it that is
- 31:24Speaker 5: that is on Earth and a portion of it that
- 31:26Speaker 5: is because that's kind of what the story that's kind
- 31:30Speaker 5: of makes the story that that that that that they're
- 31:35Speaker 5: like real real people. They're not people from a science
- 31:37Speaker 5: fiction universe. They're real people from this this world in
- 31:41Speaker 5: this universe, and they're doing this sort of extraterrestrial thing.
- 31:45Speaker 5: So sort of keeping that a contrast, I think is
- 31:52Speaker 5: part of the the the sort of currency of the popularity.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Of the film.
- 31:58Speaker 5: So that's that's all. That's all I really know about
- 32:04Speaker 5: about you know what?
- 32:06Speaker 3: What you know?
- 32:08Speaker 2: What happens to them?
- 32:09Speaker 5: They spend some of their time on Earth, and yes
- 32:11Speaker 5: they have kids, and are they going to be a
- 32:14Speaker 5: doing some star fighting?
- 32:18Speaker 2: You know?
- 32:19Speaker 3: So you so there you go.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Well, I see this as a generational movie. If it happens,
- 32:26Speaker 2: it's not going to be about him and his girl.
- 32:29Speaker 2: It's going to be about their kids.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Yeah, and and the I mean, if you watch the movie,
- 32:34Speaker 3: it sets up for a sequel as the younger brother
- 32:37Speaker 3: starts playing the machine as like one of the final shots,
- 32:40Speaker 3: so he's trying to become a star Fighter. Allegedly that
- 32:44Speaker 3: the sequel would be called The Last star Fighters.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Okay.
- 32:49Speaker 3: There is also one of the I think one of
- 32:52Speaker 3: the producers maybe one of the writers, released a few
- 32:55Speaker 3: years back a it's just a small video with music.
- 33:00Speaker 3: It's a bunch of different concept art for the Last
- 33:03Speaker 3: star Fighters sequel. So I put I put a link
- 33:06Speaker 3: to that in the show notes if people want to
- 33:09Speaker 3: check that out. But it's pretty fun. It looks like
- 33:13Speaker 3: there's no there's no like, they don't explain what the
- 33:15Speaker 3: images are. It's just a bunch of different shots of images.
- 33:18Speaker 3: But it looks like they're rebuilding the Starfighter cores with
- 33:23Speaker 3: Alex being like the lead. So okay, yeah telling that story.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I mean I looked up the
- 33:31Speaker 2: actor and a lot of these actors and what they
- 33:34Speaker 2: sort of went on to do. I'm not sure if
- 33:36Speaker 2: that actor's got leading man vibes anymore. Yeah, you know,
- 33:43Speaker 2: And it's like any teen child or teen actor, you know,
- 33:47Speaker 2: they're either going to grow up to be Brad Pitt
- 33:50Speaker 2: or they're going to grow up to be not Brad Pitt, right,
- 33:54Speaker 2: you know. And because I'm just looking at his acting career,
- 34:00Speaker 2: I mean, he wasn't in a whole lot of.
- 34:03Speaker 3: He was like in Jaws two and yeah, yeah, right.
- 34:07Speaker 2: I you know, I think this would be a perfect
- 34:08Speaker 2: opportunity for Will Wheaton to come back as the friend
- 34:12Speaker 2: of brother of main character.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Yeah. He's literally credited as Lewis's friend, right, right, didn't
- 34:19Speaker 3: even have a name.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, you could do us. You could do
- 34:22Speaker 2: a plot line where it's Lewis and the and Will
- 34:27Speaker 2: Wheaton's character. It almost like two friends that you want
- 34:32Speaker 2: to go off out of this adventure together. They both
- 34:34Speaker 2: want to be starfighters and you know they're both in
- 34:37Speaker 2: their fifties.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I was thinking, all what would I
- 34:42Speaker 3: do with the sequel? And I thought it would be
- 34:43Speaker 3: kind of funny if like if the uh, the the
- 34:47Speaker 3: younger brother who's now older, like he never was good
- 34:51Speaker 3: enough to be a starfighter, so he never got recruited,
- 34:55Speaker 3: but maybe like there's a new version of the game
- 34:57Speaker 3: that's online and oh yeah, yeah, and it's it's like, uh,
- 35:04Speaker 3: the the nephew or the niece, right, is so good
- 35:08Speaker 3: at the game that she gets recruited. And then what
- 35:12Speaker 3: you find out is that the uh, it's not the
- 35:16Speaker 3: good guys that use the recruitment tool, it's the bad guys.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Now they found out about it.
- 35:22Speaker 2: And so yeah, well that that actor was saying, it's
- 35:27Speaker 2: it's it's about the family, right, right, Family is the
- 35:31Speaker 2: most important thing.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Yeah, And so like the bad guys are like, what
- 35:34Speaker 3: do you know about Alex Rogan and tell us about him?
- 35:36Speaker 3: And like they're trying to pull pull the niece for
- 35:40Speaker 3: information and then.
- 35:41Speaker 2: You find deliciously wicked. I like it.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Yeah, she's been recruited by the bad guys. Yeah yeah,
- 35:49Speaker 3: so I think that could be.
- 35:50Speaker 2: This is why people are going to know your name,
- 35:52Speaker 2: and in a few years we'll see, we'll see you've
- 35:55Speaker 2: got the ideas.
- 35:57Speaker 3: I try. I try.
- 36:00Speaker 2: I'm just when I when I'm thinking about movies, like,
- 36:02Speaker 2: I'm just like a baby played with keys, Like.
- 36:09Speaker 3: How you do this like you're a cat?
- 36:10Speaker 2: Like yeah, I go for the shiny things.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Nice.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Oh, welcome to trek Cast everybody. Yeah all yeah, star Fox,
- 36:26Speaker 2: you're right, Chas biz. It kind of did have that
- 36:29Speaker 2: Star Fox feel.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Do a bear rule?
- 36:32Speaker 2: Yeah a par I love that game.
- 36:36Speaker 3: I mean that was kind of like the big the
- 36:38Speaker 3: big fight for the big big weapon. Yeah, the death Bloom.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my god. Well I was expect What I
- 36:48Speaker 2: was expecting was, you know, the Enterprise D alternate future
- 36:54Speaker 2: type weapon, you know, face photon WEAPONO mass destruction. I
- 36:58Speaker 2: didn't know that it was going to go in his
- 37:00Speaker 2: berserker heavyly caffeinated mode.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Yeah. I when that happened, because it's been forever since
- 37:09Speaker 3: I've seen the movie and he's like spinning around shooting
- 37:11Speaker 3: every possible direction. I really thought like wouldn't the character
- 37:15Speaker 3: be like super dizzy afterwards.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Like well, yeah, you could make.
- 37:20Speaker 3: That a little joke like, oh, you know, but whatever.
- 37:26Speaker 2: It was that that plot plating that they had on
- 37:29Speaker 2: the side of their halls.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Yeah, like he doesn't need to like throw up, you
- 37:31Speaker 3: don't need to go that far with it, which is
- 37:33Speaker 3: like a little woozy, like a little.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Bit of a head head hip.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Yeah, just like their head movements and eye movements didn't
- 37:43Speaker 2: match all the time what was actually going on around them.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah yeah, And it.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Was very like, I mean, he was just like yeah,
- 37:54Speaker 2: And when the there was one point towards the end
- 37:56Speaker 2: of the movie where the Starfighters like going asked or
- 38:00Speaker 2: through the big enemy ship and they say something like, oh,
- 38:05Speaker 2: they're all good, they're about ready to fire on us,
- 38:07Speaker 2: and I see the starfighter just kind of slightly roll
- 38:11Speaker 2: to the left a little bit and it and it
- 38:13Speaker 2: reminded me of that Family Guy episode where they spoofed
- 38:17Speaker 2: Star Wars. Look, he's listening lazily.
- 38:19Speaker 3: To the left.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Mm hmm, like that kid's got some good moves.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Well, Like, when I was watching it, I thought very
- 38:29Speaker 3: clearly they sat in a meeting and went, we need
- 38:33Speaker 3: a Luke Skywarker character. We need a Han solo character.
- 38:36Speaker 3: But they couldn't find a reason to have two different ones,
- 38:38Speaker 3: so they just said, we're gonna mix them together and
- 38:40Speaker 3: make one character. And our main guy is a little
- 38:44Speaker 3: bit Luke and a little bit Han. Yep, and that's
- 38:46Speaker 3: that's his personality.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Yep, that's exactly it.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Yeah, because he is a little starry eyed, a little
- 38:52Speaker 3: like big big dreamer, but he's also sarcastic and you know,
- 38:56Speaker 3: kind of cool, you know, yeah, kind of cool. Yeah.
- 39:00Speaker 2: So and then we'll just make us scaly English speaking Chewbacca.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, so yeah, I like, yeah.
- 39:11Speaker 2: I enjoyed it.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, we got we got chats. Was waiting
- 39:17Speaker 3: on the line, so let's get to listener feedback.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Let's do it.
- 39:24Speaker 3: Listener feedback.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Let's remind everybody how they can join the chat Sunday mornings.
- 39:32Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, so if you want to join us, just
- 39:36Speaker 3: x up in the chat, hit the X letter and
- 39:39Speaker 3: put it in the chat and we will send you
- 39:40Speaker 3: the link so you can join us. Just make sure
- 39:43Speaker 3: you've got a webcam and a mic so you can
- 39:46Speaker 3: talk to us. We're also on all sorts of social
- 39:49Speaker 3: media all over the place as trek cast TNG, And
- 39:54Speaker 3: of course if you really want to, if you want
- 39:57Speaker 3: to reach out on phone home, you can give us
- 39:59Speaker 3: a call at five seven zero six six one zero
- 40:04Speaker 3: zero zero one. That's five seven zero six six one
- 40:09Speaker 3: zero zero zero one. No one will answer your call,
- 40:12Speaker 3: but you can leave a message. It's just a voice
- 40:16Speaker 3: smail service and we will get you. But yeah, so
- 40:21Speaker 3: with all that in mind, let's bring on Chasbiz, who
- 40:24Speaker 3: was very excited about this movie. So there he is.
- 40:26Speaker 3: There's Jazz Biz. Uh. He's apparently hanging out with the
- 40:30Speaker 3: prophets in another room. Yeah, yeah, are you? Are you
- 40:35Speaker 3: one with beijor right now?
- 40:36Speaker 2: Or one?
- 40:38Speaker 3: Nice?
- 40:39Speaker 2: Yes? How is the emissary.
- 40:44Speaker 6: Singing and he's acting?
- 40:50Speaker 3: What is he singing?
- 40:53Speaker 2: What was it you sing with Fontaine? You know?
- 40:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah, a little a little big Fontane all right, yeah, a.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Little bit all right, jazz music. So so what are
- 41:05Speaker 2: your memories of this movie? What are your thoughts?
- 41:08Speaker 6: I just recently saw it in the theater, so yeah,
- 41:12Speaker 6: they had a re release earlier back in January.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Mm hmm, okay, okay, it was You.
- 41:19Speaker 6: Know, it's funny when you see it on the big screen,
- 41:22Speaker 6: like you kind of see the special effects a little
- 41:25Speaker 6: bit better and how bad they are, and especially, you know,
- 41:33Speaker 6: some of the makeup. I think the makeup was pretty
- 41:35Speaker 6: good on the what's his name, the the pilot, the
- 41:39Speaker 6: co pilot.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I forget his name, grill or he's.
- 41:44Speaker 6: Probably the best make up the rest of them. If
- 41:46Speaker 6: you look at him, they're kind of they're kind of
- 41:48Speaker 6: chintzed over or the other guys, you know, they had
- 41:51Speaker 6: the bald cap and yeah, baseball caps on them. Yeah,
- 41:55Speaker 6: so I always thought it was funny.
- 41:56Speaker 2: It was like.
- 41:59Speaker 6: A bald you know, baseball cap on your head.
- 42:01Speaker 3: So the guy he accidentally steps on like his tentacle, Like,
- 42:04Speaker 3: I thought that guy's makeup was pretty good.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and that was just for a short bit.
- 42:12Speaker 3: Yeah. And if you notice, some of them move independently,
- 42:16Speaker 3: which means there's little motors in there to move them.
- 42:19Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, seven guys, each one got a toe
- 42:22Speaker 2: or Yeah.
- 42:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I thought that bad guys look pretty wicked.
- 42:27Speaker 3: Yeah. They definitely inspired Galaxy Quest.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yes, yes.
- 42:33Speaker 6: When you watch it, you're like, oh my gosh, this
- 42:35Speaker 6: is the same plot Galaxy Quest.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Almost Yeah, well even the bad guys look very Galaxy Quest.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Like, yeah, krill or whatever the heck.
- 42:44Speaker 3: He's got the little like view finder on his eye
- 42:46Speaker 3: and the old like pops down.
- 42:49Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, yeah, of course you thought nine you remember die? Yeah,
- 42:55Speaker 6: Like towards the end of Das nine the head didn't
- 42:57Speaker 6: they have like a little visor like that?
- 42:59Speaker 3: Oh yeah yeah, the jim hddar like the warships that's yeah,
- 43:03Speaker 3: only like.
- 43:03Speaker 2: The commands one for the first and one for the Borda.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I was here.
- 43:11Speaker 6: Yeah, well heads up display so we can see what's
- 43:13Speaker 6: going on.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, that's yeah.
- 43:18Speaker 6: This movie, like he was on repeat in the eighties
- 43:21Speaker 6: on HBO, probably a hundred times so on HBO, so
- 43:27Speaker 6: my mom recorded on the VHS. Yeah, I wore that
- 43:30Speaker 6: thing out watching it. Nice and it's just one of
- 43:35Speaker 6: those movies that was just a fun, kind of cheap movie,
- 43:39Speaker 6: you know.
- 43:40Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, I had a blast with that.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Man.
- 43:44Speaker 3: I really want to show it to my nephews and niece.
- 43:46Speaker 3: I think they would love it.
- 43:48Speaker 6: And there's really well, I mean there's really no bad parts.
- 43:51Speaker 6: It kind of scared me as a kid when the
- 43:53Speaker 6: beta units like changed the space.
- 43:56Speaker 3: Yeah, when he's melted and yes, that thing. Yeah, the
- 44:02Speaker 3: kids that would the kids.
- 44:04Speaker 2: And like that of the replica.
- 44:07Speaker 6: If you notice the beta unit has a wig on. Yeah,
- 44:11Speaker 6: because lance Gas cut his hair, so that's why he
- 44:15Speaker 6: has a wig.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Different because they did all his scenes after in post right,
- 44:21Speaker 2: they had him come back and do reshoots.
- 44:24Speaker 6: Yeah, because they wanted to make his parts more comic relief.
- 44:28Speaker 6: I guess, okay, I think you know, he's kind of
- 44:31Speaker 6: fish out of water. Yeah, it's like he doesn't understand
- 44:35Speaker 6: humans really, so he's like, okay, let's do this.
- 44:41Speaker 3: That looked like a real trailer park too, Like I
- 44:43Speaker 3: think they.
- 44:45Speaker 6: That is the coolest trailer park always want to you know.
- 44:49Speaker 2: I thought it was. I thought it was very kind of,
- 44:51Speaker 2: you know, charming. I mean, because it's all it wasn't
- 44:54Speaker 2: like the traditional trailer park from the Nines.
- 44:57Speaker 6: The trailer park Boys or anything.
- 44:59Speaker 2: It was. It was they were all campers, and they
- 45:01Speaker 2: were all acutely decorated campers by the way that old
- 45:04Speaker 2: people would decorate their campers. It looked like a little
- 45:07Speaker 2: retirement summer place. I mean yeah, and they were all
- 45:10Speaker 2: where was supposed to be.
- 45:12Speaker 3: I think somewhere in California.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I think in California, cause I saw mountains in
- 45:16Speaker 2: the background.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I bet it's oh wow, I have to put
- 45:21Speaker 3: this up. Look at that.
- 45:27Speaker 2: So uh at at desire. I was disappointed that my
- 45:32Speaker 2: husband hadn't watched this, Yet another movie I watched as
- 45:35Speaker 2: a kid that Scott missed out on.
- 45:37Speaker 3: Such a shame.
- 45:38Speaker 6: Probably told you all about it. You just ignored her.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Hey, we didn't get cable until the mid nineties. Okay,
- 45:44Speaker 2: so yeah, you're watching O. E. T. A and or whatever.
- 45:50Speaker 2: Exactly exactly, so we we got to see the mainstream
- 45:53Speaker 2: movies nine years after they came out in the theater,
- 45:56Speaker 2: and they were heavily edited for a time language. We
- 46:03Speaker 2: were just talking about this yesterday watching the movie Tremors.
- 46:06Speaker 2: And I watched the movie Tremors in the theater with
- 46:09Speaker 2: my cousin Joanne, who we hung out with yesterday, and
- 46:12Speaker 2: she's she's a few years older than me. So I
- 46:15Speaker 2: saw this movie in the theaters when I was like
- 46:17Speaker 2: twelve or thirteen, and she was old enough to get
- 46:20Speaker 2: a minor into a R rated movie. I saw the theater,
- 46:24Speaker 2: but then after that, my my mom recorded it on
- 46:27Speaker 2: Network TV. Oh wow, So I watched it dozens of
- 46:31Speaker 2: times on tape and so I didn't know that that
- 46:35Speaker 2: he doesn't say screw you to the to the graboids.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Oh you know, so there was there's a lot of
- 46:42Speaker 2: edited the because a lot of the movies that I
- 46:46Speaker 2: saw growing up as a kid were recorded off of
- 46:48Speaker 2: network TV. H you know so RoboCop was recorded off
- 46:52Speaker 2: of Fox?
- 46:53Speaker 6: Or did your mom like was she recorded? Did she
- 46:56Speaker 6: pause them?
- 46:57Speaker 2: Oh? No, no, No, got all the commercials? Did she like? No?
- 47:02Speaker 2: But I'm glad because I I recent This is something
- 47:04Speaker 2: we talked to Doug Jones about last week. I've gone
- 47:08Speaker 2: back in recent years and watched some of these movies
- 47:11Speaker 2: and I'll I'll actually fast forward through a lot of
- 47:13Speaker 2: the movie and get to the commercials because they're old,
- 47:16Speaker 2: vintage commercials from the eighties, from the eighties. But one
- 47:21Speaker 2: of the commercials that I really enjoyed was the McDonald's
- 47:24Speaker 2: commercial where they had Moonhead the mac yeah moon commercials. Well,
- 47:28Speaker 2: Doug Jones was the guy playing the piano in the Moonhead.
- 47:32Speaker 6: He was McKnight or whatever.
- 47:34Speaker 3: Yeah, he was back tonight.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that was him, And I told him, I'm like,
- 47:40Speaker 2: you know, I did. I've been a fan of yours
- 47:42Speaker 2: since I was a kid. I just didn't know who
- 47:43Speaker 2: you were.
- 47:44Speaker 3: Yeah, that's fun.
- 47:45Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, well my my favorite role of his was
- 47:49Speaker 6: Abe Sapien and that.
- 47:51Speaker 3: Was a good one.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Hell boy.
- 47:54Speaker 3: There's a whole bunch of like YouTube videos out there
- 47:56Speaker 3: of like the TV edits of films compared to actual
- 48:00Speaker 3: film like like, uh, there's there's a very famous die
- 48:05Speaker 3: Hard TV edit where instead of at the very end
- 48:07Speaker 3: saying yip ky you know yeah.
- 48:11Speaker 6: On Scarface, he's supposed to say eating the pea word,
- 48:14Speaker 6: but he says eating pineapple to get that scar eating pineapple.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:21Speaker 3: Yeah, the die Hard one is yippie kaye, silly Rascal
- 48:26Speaker 3: or something like yeah.
- 48:32Speaker 2: So you know, Oh boy.
- 48:34Speaker 3: The TV edits are pretty fun. There's even like a
- 48:36Speaker 3: lot of.
- 48:38Speaker 2: RoboCop has got to be the most heavily edited in
- 48:44Speaker 2: the in the bathroom scene where where he's talking the
- 48:48Speaker 2: older guy's talking to the younger guy, He's like, I
- 48:50Speaker 2: used to call the old man names this this, and
- 48:53Speaker 2: sometimes I'd call him a lot worse.
- 48:56Speaker 3: Uh huh there. Oh do you remember that movie Dracula
- 49:03Speaker 3: the Francis word Cobolo with Keanu Reeves and not a writer. Yeah, okay,
- 49:08Speaker 3: so famously for for many years any time it aired
- 49:12Speaker 3: on TV, didn't matter where in the world, like even
- 49:16Speaker 3: like Brazil or Saudi Arabia. Wherever it aired on TV,
- 49:20Speaker 3: Francis word Cobola would do another TV edit specifically for
- 49:24Speaker 3: that airing. So there there was a ton of slightly
- 49:27Speaker 3: different versions of that movie.
- 49:29Speaker 2: That's so cool. Yeah, huh, Yeah, it's funny because as
- 49:36Speaker 2: I was, you know, if I go back and I
- 49:38Speaker 2: watched these movies later on as an adult in my twenties,
- 49:41Speaker 2: mm hmm, I I was almost confused. I'm like, wait
- 49:44Speaker 2: a minute, I didn't realize he said the F word
- 49:47Speaker 2: here or gave the finger or I didn't know that. Yeah,
- 49:52Speaker 2: I didn't know he was she was topless in this scene.
- 49:55Speaker 3: Yeah, where has this life?
- 49:58Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 49:59Speaker 3: Well, and there's yeah.
- 50:03Speaker 2: Girls yeah. Oh God.
- 50:07Speaker 6: Was always messed up on those scenes if you're into it.
- 50:10Speaker 3: Black Buss Like so, I'm a big fan of horror movies,
- 50:14Speaker 3: and famously, Child's Play to the Second Trucky movie has
- 50:18Speaker 3: a completely different ending in the TV edit than the
- 50:22Speaker 3: actual movie. It's it's weird, man, Like, it's so different.
- 50:28Speaker 6: Remember Gremlins too, They had a scene where it was
- 50:31Speaker 6: hul Holgan comes out of the theater, and then there
- 50:34Speaker 6: was like another scene and Gremlins too that there's different edits.
- 50:40Speaker 3: Yeah, so the whole Colgan one was if you watched
- 50:42Speaker 3: it in a theater m h because he would yell
- 50:45Speaker 3: at them for messing with the projector. And then there's
- 50:49Speaker 3: a different one where they're switching out the videotapes because
- 50:53Speaker 3: you're watching it at home, and so it's different VHS
- 50:55Speaker 3: tapes that they keep throwing in. Oh yeah, yeah, so
- 51:00Speaker 3: they did it differently, so.
- 51:02Speaker 6: It's pretty cool with the you know, like some of these.
- 51:05Speaker 2: Edits, Gremlins two on our Christmas queue for next year,
- 51:09Speaker 2: for this year.
- 51:10Speaker 6: So the nineteen eighty four Dune, they actually added a
- 51:13Speaker 6: prologue on their on the TV version, but on the
- 51:18Speaker 6: tape version cable like HBO, it was just heavily edited. Yeah,
- 51:26Speaker 6: which was weird because there's a longer version on the
- 51:29Speaker 6: actual network TV. Oh yeah, yeah, it's like, oh, this
- 51:33Speaker 6: kind of makes more sense now because it did a
- 51:35Speaker 6: prologue too, So yeah.
- 51:37Speaker 2: Right right, oh fun times.
- 51:43Speaker 3: Yeah, so I guess we're kind of winding it down.
- 51:47Speaker 6: Yeah, I missed Masters of the Universe. I'm sorry, guys.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Oh yeah, there's a new trailer we're gonna be watching
- 51:55Speaker 2: the new one.
- 51:55Speaker 6: So you guys going to review the new one?
- 51:58Speaker 2: I think we are planning. I think, okay, yeah, we'll
- 52:00Speaker 2: review the new one. We need a palate cleanser after. Yeah.
- 52:04Speaker 3: Strangely the world won't start up yet when that comes out.
- 52:06Speaker 6: So yeah, I was going to ask you, are you
- 52:08Speaker 6: guys going to review Mando and Gregory?
- 52:12Speaker 3: Oh, we haven't even talked about that.
- 52:14Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the other thing I was going to talk about.
- 52:15Speaker 2: There was a Mandalorian and Grogroove trailer that came out. Yeah,
- 52:22Speaker 2: just like Star Wars is back, I hope.
- 52:24Speaker 3: So yeah, I just I don't get the vibe that
- 52:28Speaker 3: people are that excited for it.
- 52:30Speaker 2: I don't either, and I think that's for a couple
- 52:32Speaker 2: of reasons. Number one, I think the well, here's the thing. Yeah,
- 52:37Speaker 2: the people that know who Grogu and the Mandalorian are,
- 52:42Speaker 2: I've already seen him in a bunch of seasons of
- 52:47Speaker 2: you know, The Mandalorian and in the Book of Bubba
- 52:50Speaker 2: Fet and and all that, so they've already seen it.
- 52:52Speaker 2: You know. The people that have not seen made the
- 52:57Speaker 2: Mandalorian and the Book of Bulbafet but are still star
- 52:59Speaker 2: Wars fans don't know who the hell the Mandalorian and
- 53:02Speaker 2: Grogho are, right, So I think that's part of the problem.
- 53:06Speaker 2: It's it's it's sort of a built in can't get
- 53:09Speaker 2: excited about it.
- 53:10Speaker 3: Yeah, well, and I think the ones that even that
- 53:13Speaker 3: don't know know enough to know that that is a
- 53:16Speaker 3: Disney Plus show. So why am I going to go
- 53:18Speaker 3: pay more money to go see Peters?
- 53:22Speaker 2: You know, Well that would suffer from the whole you know,
- 53:26Speaker 2: the Marvel thing. Oh do I have to do? I
- 53:28Speaker 2: have to have seen you know, all twelve of these
- 53:32Speaker 2: different seasons of these different shows in order to enjoy
- 53:36Speaker 2: you know, all Avengers, whatever and this and that. Right.
- 53:42Speaker 6: Yeah, that was the problem with Doctor Strange, remember, was
- 53:46Speaker 6: you know one division, like nobody knew what was going
- 53:50Speaker 6: on on that if you didn't watch the Disney Plus show.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Yeah, because if you if you went from the movie
- 53:55Speaker 2: she was in before to the the Doctor Strange and
- 53:59Speaker 2: the Multiverse of Madness, you didn't get the connection of
- 54:03Speaker 2: why she went back. Crap, no, no, no, you know,
- 54:07Speaker 2: and nobody and casual fans are just gonna watch the movies.
- 54:12Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, that's why they're saying that the new is
- 54:16Speaker 3: an Avengers Doomsday is a direct sequel to Infinity War
- 54:19Speaker 3: and Endgame.
- 54:21Speaker 6: Yeah, and they're re releasing in game with.
- 54:24Speaker 3: With new footage, yeah, to make it fit together better.
- 54:28Speaker 6: Am I going to re release Infinity War or just
- 54:31Speaker 6: in game?
- 54:33Speaker 2: Man?
- 54:33Speaker 6: I wish they'd do Infinity War one week and then
- 54:36Speaker 6: in Game the next because connect you know, you gotta
- 54:42Speaker 6: find out what happens.
- 54:43Speaker 3: I'm sure Mickey is down to make those dollars.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Oh, I bet. Yeah.
- 54:48Speaker 6: I'm all for watching them in the theater.
- 54:50Speaker 2: I'd love to.
- 54:51Speaker 3: Yeah, they're great movies. I liked them a lot.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's the look looking looking forward to that.
- 55:00Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, I think well we'll probably there's not
- 55:03Speaker 2: a well, we got Strange New Worlds coming this summer.
- 55:06Speaker 3: Mm hmmm.
- 55:07Speaker 2: When does Mandalorien and Grogu come out? And may may
- 55:12Speaker 2: well definitely have time before Strange New Worlds comes out
- 55:15Speaker 2: to do a couple of non Star Trek specific Okay,
- 55:21Speaker 2: so yeah, I think I think we should review.
- 55:24Speaker 6: I think we should Yeah, what about Supergirl or anything
- 55:27Speaker 6: like that or see.
- 55:28Speaker 3: Okay, so this is what we were originally going to
- 55:31Speaker 3: do for the show. All the new movies that are
- 55:33Speaker 3: coming out what we're most excited about. But then, uh,
- 55:36Speaker 3: it just so happened that this week I watched The
- 55:39Speaker 3: Last Starfighter and then we ended.
- 55:40Speaker 2: Up found out that I had and he's like, hey,
- 55:42Speaker 2: do you want to review The Last Starfighter? Like, sure,
- 55:46Speaker 2: sounds unpredictable to me.
- 55:47Speaker 3: But but I think I think maybe the whole upcoming
- 55:51Speaker 3: movies would be a fun thing to do, because there
- 55:54Speaker 3: this year is stacked with movies. It is It's It's Supergirl,
- 55:59Speaker 3: It's clay Face, It's Mandalorian and Grogu, It's The Spider Man,
- 56:05Speaker 3: Brand New Day, It's It's three Odyssey. Like there, there
- 56:10Speaker 3: is so many movies. It's one of the rare years.
- 56:13Speaker 3: I think there was another one in I think in
- 56:15Speaker 3: eighty six or something like that. Probably, yeah, I'll have
- 56:19Speaker 3: to look, but there's a few years where like just
- 56:23Speaker 3: banger after banger after banger comes out.
- 56:25Speaker 6: Eighty nine was probably the best summer ever. Yeah, it
- 56:29Speaker 6: had Batman Goes Batman. You had yeah a movies, Indiana
- 56:34Speaker 6: Jones and The Last Crusade.
- 56:36Speaker 3: Yeah, so yeah, it might be eighty nine. So yeah,
- 56:42Speaker 3: let's see. I'm just trying to see if I can
- 56:45Speaker 3: google it. Oh, like in ninety nine we had The
- 56:48Speaker 3: Matrix Fight Club, American Beauty, and The Blair Witch Project
- 56:51Speaker 3: all in the same year, And in ninety four we
- 56:54Speaker 3: had Forrest Gump, Pull Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption, and The
- 56:58Speaker 3: Lion King.
- 57:00Speaker 2: So oh yeah, yeah, as you mentioned, clay Face, I'm
- 57:05Speaker 2: kind of excited about that one. That looks like me too.
- 57:07Speaker 2: Be pretty cool. I have a recommendation for anybody too
- 57:11Speaker 2: who listens to audiobooks. There is a bat nineteen eighty
- 57:17Speaker 2: nine Batman sequel audiobook, Batman Resurrection, and I listened to it.
- 57:25Speaker 2: It was fantastic. Oh really, it was really good.
- 57:29Speaker 3: I literally just downloaded it. I have not started it yet,
- 57:33Speaker 3: but it is on my list. I'm going to be
- 57:35Speaker 3: listening to it.
- 57:36Speaker 2: Clay Face, isn't it And oh really? Yep, So check
- 57:40Speaker 2: it out. It deals sort of with it. It deals
- 57:43Speaker 2: with the aftermath of you know, having having to deal
- 57:46Speaker 2: with a joker and and and all that kind of
- 57:49Speaker 2: stuff and Vicky Vale and all that. So it's it's
- 57:52Speaker 2: it's meant to be a direct sequel to the Tim
- 57:57Speaker 2: Burtons movie.
- 57:58Speaker 3: Oh nice. Okay, yeah, well we'll check that out, okay.
- 58:02Speaker 6: And what's the name of it?
- 58:03Speaker 2: Against Scott Batman Resurrection. It's available on audible.
- 58:08Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, I just got an audible so okay, all right, yeah,
- 58:15Speaker 3: well I think that's that'll do it for this day.
- 58:17Speaker 3: And uh so, no show next week, but the week
- 58:20Speaker 3: after we'll come back with something.
- 58:22Speaker 6: So did we do a movie wager this summer to
- 58:26Speaker 6: see which one's gonna make the most?
- 58:28Speaker 3: Maybe that's what we do when we talk about what
- 58:30Speaker 3: we're most excited about.
- 58:31Speaker 6: Yeah, which one's going to make the most?
- 58:35Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe we'll that's what we'll do.
- 58:36Speaker 2: Pull on Facebook or Instagram.
- 58:38Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we'll figure it out. We'll figure out a
- 58:41Speaker 3: fun way to do that.
- 58:42Speaker 2: Okay, cool, everybody get involved with the socials.
