- 0:00Speaker 1: Now the Mark Simone Show on seven ten woor filling
- 0:05Speaker 1: in for Mark.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Here's Ken Rosatto oh Man, Ohman. The day before the
- 0:09Speaker 2: big feast. Mark is off at a long weekend. Good
- 0:12Speaker 2: for him. Former New York City TV news anchor Ken
- 0:15Speaker 2: Rosatto reporting for duty. And you'll probably best remember me.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I did twenty years, twenty years having a great time
- 0:23Speaker 2: anchoring the Morning show Channel seven here in New York.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Before that, I was on the Morning Show Channel five.
- 0:27Speaker 2: And these days I host a daily show on a
- 0:31Speaker 2: New Jersey based news channel. It's called on New Jersey
- 0:35Speaker 2: ONANJ dot com. You could stream it live anywhere in
- 0:38Speaker 2: the country. It's New Jersey focus, but it has all
- 0:41Speaker 2: the Tri state stuff TOONJ dot com. I'm on every
- 0:44Speaker 2: day there, and I run a food website for all
- 0:47Speaker 2: you foodies called the Food Dude. Thefooddude dot us check
- 0:52Speaker 2: it out. Hundreds of free recipes that I put on there,
- 0:55Speaker 2: in thousands or hundreds of thousands actually from all over
- 0:57Speaker 2: the world. And we've got a lot to talk about today.
- 1:00Speaker 2: But being this is the day before thanks to Giving,
- 1:03Speaker 2: I'm not only a guy who does news and politics
- 1:06Speaker 2: but also food. Because of the Food Dude so feel
- 1:09Speaker 2: free to talk Thanksgiving. We don't have to keep this
- 1:11Speaker 2: a hardcore political show. I know Marcus like saying, oh, Ken,
- 1:15Speaker 2: keep it on, keep it on, politics, Mark, Mark, you
- 1:17Speaker 2: enjoy your day off. I'm going to welcome in some
- 1:21Speaker 2: calls about Thanksgiving, turkey, stresses around the holiday table, politics
- 1:25Speaker 2: and family. Whatever you want, open it up here. Eight
- 1:28Speaker 2: hundred and three two one zero seven ten. Do you
- 1:32Speaker 2: have a cool recipe you want to share, because I'm
- 1:33Speaker 2: going to talk about them. We want to hear about it.
- 1:36Speaker 2: What about your family traditions at Thanksgiving? Do you always
- 1:39Speaker 2: just have a turkey or do you have a turkey
- 1:42Speaker 2: and something else or something instead of a turkey? You know,
- 1:46Speaker 2: being an Italian American, we always have you have to
- 1:49Speaker 2: have lasagna. It's just lasagna is a man made turkey. Okay,
- 1:54Speaker 2: it's sort of constructed frank in parts and there you
- 1:57Speaker 2: get a lasagna. So but we always have a you know,
- 2:00Speaker 2: you have alasagnia, then you have the turkey if you
- 2:02Speaker 2: have room for turkey. But tell us what you think
- 2:04Speaker 2: and what your family tradition is. I know a lot
- 2:06Speaker 2: of folks do mac and cheese. We heard that earlier
- 2:09Speaker 2: on MENTI in the Morning eight hundred and three to two,
- 2:12Speaker 2: one zero seven to ten. Well Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy
- 2:16Speaker 2: ticked off some people while getting cheers from a lot
- 2:19Speaker 2: of others, including me. Don't know if you heard him,
- 2:22Speaker 2: but he asked people to consider dressing a little more
- 2:25Speaker 2: appropriately when taking flights.
- 2:27Speaker 3: People dress up.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Like they're going to bed when they fly.
- 2:32Speaker 4: You know, I see people getting on airplanes and they're
- 2:35Speaker 4: having a hard time taking their.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Luggage and getting in in the oversize or above band.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Help people out, be nice, be courteous, and so we
- 2:43Speaker 4: want to push people as we come into a really
- 2:45Speaker 4: bad busy travel season, help people out, be in a
- 2:48Speaker 4: good mood, dress up, bring civility back to travel, and
- 2:52Speaker 4: I think everyone's experience is going to be that much better.
- 2:55Speaker 2: And he's right. I fly every couple of weeks because
- 2:57Speaker 2: I live equally between New Jersey and Lauderdale, and I
- 3:00Speaker 2: go back and forth, and depending on the time of
- 3:03Speaker 2: my flight, I cannot tell you how many people I
- 3:07Speaker 2: see boarding the plane looking like they literally roll out
- 3:11Speaker 2: of bed and intend to go back to bed when
- 3:13Speaker 2: they got on the flight. Dirty hoodies, dirty sweats, They
- 3:18Speaker 2: literally look half asleep. Their hair is a mess. Maybe
- 3:21Speaker 2: they didn't brush your teeth. I know, I'm sorry to
- 3:23Speaker 2: be gross. Like I usually catch the first fly out
- 3:25Speaker 2: flight out from a Newark Airport, and so it is.
- 3:29Speaker 2: You know, it's possible people rolled out of bed at
- 3:31Speaker 2: three am. They got their five am for the first
- 3:33Speaker 2: flight and they didn't brush your teeth or whatever. It's gross.
- 3:36Speaker 2: It's gross you were in public around other people. But
- 3:39Speaker 2: I know the attitude today from so many is I
- 3:42Speaker 2: don't care what people think. Okay, it's not about that.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Have a little self pride. How about that you want
- 3:48Speaker 2: to be seen looking disgusting and having people kind of
- 3:51Speaker 2: it's just nasty. I've seen people the minute they get
- 3:54Speaker 2: on the plane, they get down to their socks or
- 3:57Speaker 2: bare feet. That grosses me out because then they walk
- 4:00Speaker 2: to the to the lavatory barefooted. You know, when you
- 4:03Speaker 2: walk into a bathroom on a plane, it's all sticky
- 4:06Speaker 2: with urine that splashes, and it's nasty. You want your
- 4:09Speaker 2: bare feet to touch that. I've watched them sit on
- 4:12Speaker 2: their bare feet where they get especially young ladies, they
- 4:15Speaker 2: kind of sit on their feet on their chair, on
- 4:18Speaker 2: their seat, and so they got their bare feet and
- 4:21Speaker 2: they're touching their bare feet. I'm sorry to be on
- 4:22Speaker 2: the foot thing, but it's like now you're going to
- 4:25Speaker 2: touch other things and shake people's hands and stuff. No, no,
- 4:28Speaker 2: learn a little, learn a little decorum. And then the
- 4:31Speaker 2: grossest was about six months ago when I saw this guy,
- 4:34Speaker 2: not kidding, clipping toenails in their seats. I know, I'm
- 4:39Speaker 2: is he Your engineers looking at me like, shut up,
- 4:42Speaker 2: ors out of change it, change it. I'm telling you
- 4:44Speaker 2: it's nasty. I've seen people change their baby diapers on
- 4:48Speaker 2: the pull down table. That's where someone's going to put
- 4:50Speaker 2: their food the next flight. So all I'm saying is,
- 4:53Speaker 2: like Sean Duffy said, and he didn't get into this
- 4:55Speaker 2: gross detail, try to act more civilized. That's all. Just
- 4:59Speaker 2: a little more civil lies in society. Think of other people.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Would you like to sit down at a seat where
- 5:05Speaker 2: somebody else had their bare feet? So then don't do it.
- 5:07Speaker 2: To the next guy, call and share. Maybe you have
- 5:10Speaker 2: a nicer story than that. Eight Edward three two one
- 5:13Speaker 2: zero seven ten. This is seven ten w R. The
- 5:17Speaker 2: Voice of New York Ken Rosotto Infra Mark. Well, I'm
- 5:20Speaker 2: sure you heard by now about US District Judge Cameron
- 5:23Speaker 2: McCowan Curry, the radical leftist activist Biden appointee who threw
- 5:28Speaker 2: out the James Comy and Letitia James indictments. Her argument
- 5:33Speaker 2: was that the prosecutor was no longer legally in power
- 5:36Speaker 2: as a prosecutor, so the cases had to be dismissed
- 5:39Speaker 2: on a technicality. So immediately tiss James and James Comy
- 5:43Speaker 2: took victory laps. All arrogant and the ms now types,
- 5:47Speaker 2: all the liberals with the with the you know, the
- 5:51Speaker 2: ear rings through their nose and the pink hair looking
- 5:54Speaker 2: like five hundred pounds like they're on their last breath.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Maybe they maybe they should rethink their joy because the
- 6:03Speaker 2: cases were dismissed without prejudice. Listen to the law professor
- 6:09Speaker 2: Jonathan Turley, listened to what he had to say.
- 6:11Speaker 5: Letitia James took a bit of a victory lap after
- 6:14Speaker 5: this decision, and I think she missed the two words
- 6:17Speaker 5: that followed dismissal. And there was dismissal without prejudice. So
- 6:23Speaker 5: the Trump administration, even if they lose on appeal, could
- 6:28Speaker 5: seek out a new indictment. This is not over for James,
- 6:31Speaker 5: or call me. The judge specifically said, I am not
- 6:35Speaker 5: going to grant your motion to dismiss with prejudice. I'm
- 6:38Speaker 5: going to allow them to cure this problem.
- 6:41Speaker 2: So what that means is it's going to take time,
- 6:44Speaker 2: but the government's going to come back after them. If
- 6:46Speaker 2: call me and James want to ensure the charges will
- 6:48Speaker 2: be refiled, keep gloating, keep gloating. That will ensure that
- 6:53Speaker 2: you will go back to court and next time every
- 6:56Speaker 2: I will be dotted and T will be crossed. So
- 6:58Speaker 2: the Trump administration and plans to first appeal the activist
- 7:02Speaker 2: judges decision to the Fourth US Circuit Court of Appeals
- 7:06Speaker 2: that's in Richmond, Virginia. That used to be considered kind
- 7:09Speaker 2: of a conservative stalwart court, but in recent years it
- 7:13Speaker 2: shifted a little more left. So they have a shot
- 7:16Speaker 2: at that. If that doesn't work, they will refile the
- 7:19Speaker 2: charges and this time they'll do it with a different
- 7:21Speaker 2: prosecutor and it will go through because the case is Look,
- 7:25Speaker 2: you're innocent until proven guilty. But certainly the case against
- 7:28Speaker 2: Letitia James. You have documents that she signed that it
- 7:31Speaker 2: was unquestionable. I mean Mark was talking about this yesterday.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I heard him talking about it yesterday. You signed a
- 7:37Speaker 2: document that says you live full time in a residence
- 7:41Speaker 2: in Virginia, and that gives you a lower interest rate
- 7:44Speaker 2: on your mortgage. That's a federal crime. And you get
- 7:48Speaker 2: a lower insurance rate, and you get lower taxes from
- 7:52Speaker 2: the local municipality in the state. So now you are
- 7:55Speaker 2: lying to three institutions using a federal instrument, and you
- 8:00Speaker 2: are the Attorney general of the state of New York.
- 8:03Speaker 2: You're not just some average schmo. So you know how
- 8:05Speaker 2: to read a contract? Okay, how do you defend yourself
- 8:08Speaker 2: against that? And on top of that, to become the
- 8:10Speaker 2: Attorney General of New York you have to live in
- 8:13Speaker 2: New York. So how could you have Virginia as not
- 8:16Speaker 2: a residence but your primary residence? So I'd like to
- 8:20Speaker 2: hear you know. Instead, what Letitia James immediately does is says,
- 8:24Speaker 2: this is a Republican trick and a conspiracy. No, just
- 8:27Speaker 2: answer the question did you sign that document? And if
- 8:30Speaker 2: you did so, why, and then how about the other
- 8:32Speaker 2: documents at the other houses. She has all the other
- 8:34Speaker 2: houses she allegedly did the same thing in So you
- 8:38Speaker 2: have to scratch your head and say, you are the
- 8:39Speaker 2: attorney general at the very least you should you should
- 8:43Speaker 2: be at a level playing field with everybody else. She's
- 8:46Speaker 2: trying to be above the law here. And remember the
- 8:47Speaker 2: Democrats kept saying about Trump. No one is above the law.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Seven ten wr the Voice of New York. This is
- 8:55Speaker 2: Ken Risotto in for the wonderful Mark Simone and enjoying
- 8:58Speaker 2: his day off. And in New Jersey, my beloved state
- 9:01Speaker 2: of New Jersey. New Jersey lawmakers have introduced a bill
- 9:05Speaker 2: that would ban ice agents and other law enforcement who
- 9:08Speaker 2: interact with the public from wearing masks or what they
- 9:12Speaker 2: call disguises. The bill would still allow undercover officers and
- 9:16Speaker 2: those wearing shields and don't cover their faces. If the
- 9:20Speaker 2: shields don't cover their faces or medical masks that's permitted.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Violators could face fines of up to one thousand dollars
- 9:27Speaker 2: and they could get up to six months in jail.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Senator Benji Wimberley, I love it. Listen, don't name your
- 9:33Speaker 2: kid Benji, because your kid's going to grow up to
- 9:35Speaker 2: be an adult male. And how would you like to
- 9:37Speaker 2: be fifty five years old? And people say, hey, Benji,
- 9:40Speaker 2: it's just not an adult name. Just think about that,
- 9:43Speaker 2: you know, I'm just saying, But Senator Benji Wimberly said
- 9:46Speaker 2: that he's concerned that masked officers might intimidate immigrant communities,
- 9:52Speaker 2: and he said that criminals could impersonate ICE agents. Okay, really,
- 9:57Speaker 2: then here's what I would say to the ICE eye
- 10:00Speaker 2: ICE senior officers. Tell everybody that the officers are wearing
- 10:05Speaker 2: medical masks. And in that case, then you can't say
- 10:08Speaker 2: that they're violating local law. But more important than that, technically,
- 10:14Speaker 2: because these are not technically in actuality, because they are
- 10:18Speaker 2: federal agents. And we have something called the supremacy Clause
- 10:22Speaker 2: in the Constitution. The state or local governments can enact
- 10:25Speaker 2: all the laws they want. They do not apply to
- 10:28Speaker 2: a federal agent. As long as a federal agent is
- 10:30Speaker 2: following the orders and following federal law, you can pass
- 10:34Speaker 2: all the local laws you want. And if you try
- 10:37Speaker 2: to touch that ICE agent, you will have your ass
- 10:39Speaker 2: holed into jail yourself. So I guarantee I know a
- 10:43Speaker 2: lot of New Jersey State Police officers, I mean a lot,
- 10:46Speaker 2: and they would not follow that order. You know how
- 10:48Speaker 2: the little Cadra of elected officials put out that internet
- 10:54Speaker 2: meme in the last week saying if you are a
- 10:57Speaker 2: member of the military, you do not have to follow
- 11:00Speaker 2: illegal orders. Well, I say the same thing now to
- 11:03Speaker 2: the New Jersey State Police, and I don't have to
- 11:05Speaker 2: because they're well aware of it. If New Jersey's legislature,
- 11:09Speaker 2: which is all far left, radical leftist liberals, if they
- 11:13Speaker 2: enact a passive bill and the governor, the new governor,
- 11:17Speaker 2: Governor Mikey, if they sign that into law and it
- 11:20Speaker 2: says that you must arrest an ice agent wearing a mask,
- 11:24Speaker 2: I guarantee those state police will say, uh no, no,
- 11:28Speaker 2: you go ahead and arrest them yourself. Senator, I'm not
- 11:31Speaker 2: going to arrest them because they know that under the
- 11:33Speaker 2: supremacy Clause of the Constitution, you, as a state police
- 11:37Speaker 2: officer in New Jersey, could be hauled up against the
- 11:39Speaker 2: wall and have your butt cuffed and taken to federal
- 11:42Speaker 2: prison if you try to stop a federal agent from
- 11:45Speaker 2: doing their job. Just a fact. If you doubt me,
- 11:48Speaker 2: or if you have an alternate opinion, try and debate it.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Go ahead, and I'll cite you the Constitution. In fact,
- 11:54Speaker 2: let's just do it right now, save you the time. Okay.
- 11:57Speaker 2: It's a direct violation of Article six, paragraph two US Constitution,
- 12:00Speaker 2: which has quote a state or municipality cannot pass a
- 12:04Speaker 2: law that interferes with the execution of federal law or
- 12:07Speaker 2: the duties of federal agents. So maybe the good state
- 12:11Speaker 2: senators missed that day in school in New Jersey. In
- 12:14Speaker 2: our eleven o'clock hour, we will speak to congressional candidate
- 12:17Speaker 2: Billy Prempe, he is a Republican running for Congress in
- 12:21Speaker 2: New Jersey's ninth congressional district, about the foolishness of states
- 12:25Speaker 2: or local municipalities trying to pass what are obviously symbolic
- 12:30Speaker 2: laws that cannot be enforced. Seven ten wore the voice
- 12:35Speaker 2: of New York Ken Rosanto in from Mark the day
- 12:37Speaker 2: before thanks a Giving. Oh man, do I love Thanksgiving?
- 12:41Speaker 2: By the way, here, I remember I told you I
- 12:43Speaker 2: was going to talk about food. For a second, I'll
- 12:45Speaker 2: talk about food. I used to work with the beautiful
- 12:49Speaker 2: and awesome Laurie Stokes at Channel seven. Remember Laurie. She is,
- 12:54Speaker 2: by the way, off air, as nice and as beautiful
- 12:58Speaker 2: as on air. She's one of my closest friends in
- 13:03Speaker 2: the world. And Laurie is the type person if I
- 13:05Speaker 2: don't talk to her in a year, which isn't the case,
- 13:07Speaker 2: but if I don't talk to her in a year
- 13:08Speaker 2: and then I talk to her. It's like we've been
- 13:10Speaker 2: talking every day. Just a great lady. She is also
- 13:13Speaker 2: one of the best darn cooks you'll ever encounter. The
- 13:15Speaker 2: food of if you ever find yourself in that situation,
- 13:18Speaker 2: it's delicious. She taught me a recipe for stuffing that
- 13:23Speaker 2: kicks a button. I'm gonna talk about it through the
- 13:25Speaker 2: show a little bit, but I got to share that.
- 13:28Speaker 2: In fact, it was on my show that I do
- 13:30Speaker 2: in New Jersey. We taped it yesterday so I could
- 13:32Speaker 2: put it on the ear and still come here. But
- 13:34Speaker 2: the key is layers of flavor. And Laurie takes She
- 13:39Speaker 2: takes three types of breads. She would take like rye
- 13:43Speaker 2: bread sour dough, and like a whole grain chunk type
- 13:47Speaker 2: it in type, cut it into chunks, toasted off with
- 13:51Speaker 2: herbs like fresh stage tons of fresh rosemary and a
- 13:55Speaker 2: little melted butter. Toasts that in the oven and then
- 13:59Speaker 2: put that in a bowl and add to that some
- 14:00Speaker 2: sauteed onions with garlic, a splash of a stock that's reduced,
- 14:06Speaker 2: and then bake that off in the oven with more
- 14:08Speaker 2: butter and more herbs. I'm telling you it's crazy, But
- 14:11Speaker 2: what she does is instead of adding sausage, she takes
- 14:14Speaker 2: dark meat like chicken thigh meat and shreds that and
- 14:17Speaker 2: puts that in. Because you're in the poultry theme, you
- 14:20Speaker 2: roast that off in the oven, or bake that off
- 14:22Speaker 2: in the oven and serve that. I'm telling you it's
- 14:24Speaker 2: the best darned stuffing. Somebody wants more, a more detailed recipe,
- 14:30Speaker 2: you could reach out to me on Instagram find my
- 14:32Speaker 2: Instagram account Ken Rosotto on Instagram there and you'll you'll
- 14:36Speaker 2: see that. Or on Facebook. I'm Ken Rosotto on Facebook too,
- 14:39Speaker 2: and I will give you this specific recipe.
- 14:41Speaker 3: But it is good.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Seven ten w o R the Voice of New York Again.
- 14:45Speaker 2: It's Ken Rosotto in for Mark on your Wednesday ten
- 14:49Speaker 2: twenty is our time right now and again when we
- 14:51Speaker 2: come up come back in just a moment. We want
- 14:53Speaker 2: to take your calls. It's eight hundred three to two
- 14:56Speaker 2: one zero seven ten eight hundred three to two one
- 14:59Speaker 2: zero seven seven ten WR.
- 15:03Speaker 1: This is the Mark Simone Show on seven ten WR.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Ken from today, Here's Ken Rosotto.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Had a very good Wednesday the day before. We go
- 15:13Speaker 2: straight to our busy phones and here's the man who
- 15:15Speaker 2: sets off my holiday perfectly. Vincent from Brooklyn.
- 15:19Speaker 6: Good morning, Vincent, Good morning Ken and bonifesta do ringraciamento day,
- 15:26Speaker 6: Hey on the tour for me.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Thank you and you's a for translation. Happy Thanksgiving to
- 15:30Speaker 2: you and your family. Thank you and.
- 15:32Speaker 6: Santius exactly Ken. Ken. Also, they didn't even I don't
- 15:36Speaker 6: know if they filed the case in New York against
- 15:38Speaker 6: for Tisha James. But she has a five family house
- 15:42Speaker 6: here and she listed it in the fourth family house
- 15:44Speaker 6: and that goes against the rules of building registration, which
- 15:49Speaker 6: she just had to, like I had to fill out
- 15:53Speaker 6: and have submitted by the end of August. Now coming
- 15:57Speaker 6: up next week is the bedbug registration. You have to
- 16:01Speaker 6: submit that your apartments either did and you had the
- 16:06Speaker 6: problem fixed or never did have bad bugs, and you
- 16:11Speaker 6: have to sign that doc. You have to go online
- 16:14Speaker 6: and electronically sign that document and resubmitted to the city.
- 16:18Speaker 6: That's next week, So she's on. She could get her
- 16:22Speaker 6: easily in trouble in New York if yeah decide to
- 16:25Speaker 6: pursue it is.
- 16:26Speaker 2: And also in Massachusetts. Remember she has another one in Massachusetts.
- 16:30Speaker 2: She's got homes all over the place, and I think
- 16:32Speaker 2: that's listed as a second home. You could do that
- 16:35Speaker 2: as a second home, that's okay. But I think in
- 16:37Speaker 2: Massachusetts she may and this is I don't know for sure,
- 16:40Speaker 2: but I believe she was renting that out. Now the
- 16:43Speaker 2: question is did she pay her income tax? She may have,
- 16:46Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm asking did she pay her income
- 16:49Speaker 2: tax on rent from that home or did she list
- 16:52Speaker 2: it just as a second home for herself? But she
- 16:54Speaker 2: is allegedly renting that out. So there are a lot
- 16:56Speaker 2: of questions here. And if you're going to be the
- 16:58Speaker 2: chief law enforcement officer of this to New York, you
- 17:00Speaker 2: better follow the law yourself exactly.
- 17:03Speaker 6: And there's I don't know how you get around here
- 17:06Speaker 6: in New York. How you get around, say in an
- 17:10Speaker 6: apartment on the building only has four units when it
- 17:13Speaker 6: has five. Because also when you fill out your insurance,
- 17:17Speaker 6: when you have to buy your insurance, whether you buy
- 17:19Speaker 6: it every year or every three years like some people do,
- 17:25Speaker 6: because if you buy it all at once for three years,
- 17:27Speaker 6: you got to get a break on the rate because
- 17:29Speaker 6: you got to pay up all at once. You still
- 17:31Speaker 6: have to put down And she also be maybe liabel
- 17:35Speaker 6: for insurance.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Right because if you say that it's your personal residence
- 17:39Speaker 2: as opposed to a residence you're renting out. You get
- 17:41Speaker 2: different rates, and you also pay different rates in taxes
- 17:44Speaker 2: in some communities.
- 17:46Speaker 6: So that but here's the thing. Can you also you're
- 17:50Speaker 6: lying because it has four units and it has five units,
- 17:54Speaker 6: and you're telling the insurance company it has four So
- 17:58Speaker 6: there's a a liability on you on their pot because
- 18:03Speaker 6: it has five units, and you're lessening the liability by
- 18:07Speaker 6: life it's say hated as.
- 18:09Speaker 2: There's no question. Look, there's no question. There was some
- 18:11Speaker 2: some dancing around fact.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Uh.
- 18:14Speaker 2: The issue is she's she's going to try to make
- 18:17Speaker 2: the argument. I'm sure that it was the attorney that
- 18:20Speaker 2: did this. But you are the attorney general. You are
- 18:23Speaker 2: an attorney, so you should know better. You should double
- 18:27Speaker 2: and triple check anything before you sign it. If you're
- 18:29Speaker 2: going to be in public office.
- 18:30Speaker 6: Ken On all of the building registrations, it says, are
- 18:34Speaker 6: you an agent for the landlord? Meanwhile you a rental
- 18:37Speaker 6: agent like a big real estate company, right, and if
- 18:41Speaker 6: you are, you still have to have the landlord sign
- 18:45Speaker 6: the official document.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Hey, Vincent, get out of it. If you did it,
- 18:51Speaker 2: you would be in jail in a heart right now.
- 18:53Speaker 2: You would be we'd be calling you and you'd be
- 18:55Speaker 2: as a hey, I only got two more minutes left
- 18:57Speaker 2: in two quarters. That's that's what would be the case.
- 18:59Speaker 2: So you know that we would be treated quite differently.
- 19:03Speaker 6: Unfortunately, so she has the legal slush fund here that
- 19:07Speaker 6: Katy Huckel set up for her of ten million dollars
- 19:10Speaker 6: that she could tap into, which we would never have
- 19:13Speaker 6: the advantage of something like that. And unfortunately all of
- 19:16Speaker 6: us New Yorkers are on the hook for her for
- 19:19Speaker 6: her bill.
- 19:20Speaker 2: That's why I live in New Jersey. Vincent, you are
- 19:22Speaker 2: the best, my friend. Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you are.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Do you By the way, I gotta quickly ask, do
- 19:27Speaker 2: you guys do a pasta with your turkey?
- 19:30Speaker 7: No?
- 19:31Speaker 6: Just only when my grandfather used to come home, because
- 19:34Speaker 6: he would he would he would do we'd have a
- 19:36Speaker 6: Losignia and turkey. No, I just do I just do
- 19:40Speaker 6: a turkey.
- 19:41Speaker 2: You're you're an a medi guan. You're in a medigan all.
- 19:43Speaker 6: Over Tomorrow night, Tomorrow night, I'll probably I'll leave pasta,
- 19:49Speaker 6: well maybe tonight. I'll see maybe tonight and Friday night
- 19:54Speaker 6: I'll leave pasta.
- 19:55Speaker 2: There you go, listen, enjoy it, have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
- 19:58Speaker 2: We will talk to you. I'm back on Friday for
- 19:59Speaker 2: bar to So what do you hear out? All one?
- 20:01Speaker 6: All right?
- 20:03Speaker 2: You thank you, sir, oh Man, I love talking Vincent
- 20:07Speaker 2: and and robbed you too, and Franklin score Happy Thanksgiving?
- 20:10Speaker 2: How are you, sir?
- 20:11Speaker 8: Happy Thanksgiving to you, Ken and you and your family.
- 20:14Speaker 8: You know, uh you and uh and and uh Laurie
- 20:18Speaker 8: you had you It was it was great listening to you.
- 20:20Speaker 8: I listened as a retired transit cup. I listened to
- 20:23Speaker 8: you guys when you're on in mid day.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:28Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 20:28Speaker 8: The thing is with with the cases with Tommy and
- 20:32Speaker 8: and and Letitia.
- 20:35Speaker 6: Uh they're both guilty.
- 20:36Speaker 8: But the thing is like Pam Bondy was against uh
- 20:39Speaker 8: uh prosecuting call me.
- 20:41Speaker 6: I mean she did.
- 20:42Speaker 8: She thought it was a weak case. She she had
- 20:44Speaker 8: the assistant, her assistant d A. He didn't he uh
- 20:48Speaker 8: didn't want to, you know, file charges. And then when
- 20:51Speaker 8: the time was running out, what did they ext What
- 20:53Speaker 8: did Trump expect? I was a real estate uh attorney
- 20:58Speaker 8: to to you know, and the time was running out.
- 21:02Speaker 8: You can you can indict a ham sandwich and uh
- 21:05Speaker 8: what and Ady McCarty said on Fox about two months
- 21:09Speaker 8: ago he said, this case will never go against Tom,
- 21:13Speaker 8: will never go to trut.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Let me say this, if I may rub only only
- 21:15Speaker 2: a couple of things. Number One, I think part of
- 21:17Speaker 2: the punishment is this. You know they knew. I think
- 21:20Speaker 2: deep down this wasn't going to go very far. But
- 21:21Speaker 2: they want to bankrupt the guy. Let's make his life hell.
- 21:24Speaker 2: See the difference. When they did this to Trump, he
- 21:26Speaker 2: had five billion in the bank, So I lose half
- 21:29Speaker 2: a billion. What's a big deal when you do it
- 21:31Speaker 2: to Komy. Now, I granted he probably has a lot
- 21:33Speaker 2: of money stashed here and there, but he probably will
- 21:35Speaker 2: lose that money in defending himself. So I think that's part.
- 21:38Speaker 2: If they want to make it as painful in existence
- 21:40Speaker 2: as possible, let him have some sleepless nights after what
- 21:42Speaker 2: he put other people through. And I'm sure that is
- 21:45Speaker 2: the punishment in the back of their minds. In terms
- 21:47Speaker 2: of indicting a ham Sandwich, though, if you look at
- 21:49Speaker 2: the district where it was done, yes and no. I
- 21:51Speaker 2: mean you never can tell with a grand jury. I've
- 21:54Speaker 2: seen Steff where you say grand Juri will never indict
- 21:56Speaker 2: and they indict, and other cases where you say this
- 21:58Speaker 2: is a slam dunk, and they don't so you never
- 22:00Speaker 2: really know, but we'll see what happens. Look, they're gonna appeal,
- 22:04Speaker 2: and if the appeal doesn't work, they will refile charges that.
- 22:07Speaker 8: It makes a lot of sense what you're saying.
- 22:10Speaker 2: More importantly, though, what are you doing for Thanksgiving?
- 22:13Speaker 9: Are you?
- 22:13Speaker 2: And what does your family?
- 22:14Speaker 8: My sister, my sister has us over my You know,
- 22:17Speaker 8: a lot of relatives are no longer with us, but
- 22:20Speaker 8: my sister, my brother and sister in law. She cooks
- 22:22Speaker 8: turkey and pasta.
- 22:24Speaker 2: There you go.
- 22:24Speaker 8: We're Irish, mostly Irish, little German. But you know we're
- 22:28Speaker 8: into the pasta with the turkey.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Down with him. By the way, my friends, I'm not
- 22:32Speaker 2: kidding about this, and I mean no insult to my family.
- 22:35Speaker 2: I had my one of my dearest friends growing up.
- 22:37Speaker 2: His name is Bill Dirton Gerald, give me a shot out.
- 22:39Speaker 2: His dad Irish and German. His dad used to make
- 22:42Speaker 2: the best damn pasta and pasta sauce ever ever, and
- 22:46Speaker 2: I used to love and yet he never ate it himself.
- 22:48Speaker 2: He didn't like pasta, but he may nobody's business. Something
- 22:51Speaker 2: about following the rules and the and the anyway, just delicious.
- 22:55Speaker 2: He's out there listening right now. So I give a
- 22:57Speaker 2: shout out to mister Dirtinger.
- 22:58Speaker 8: God, God bless your canon, and thanks for bringing up
- 23:00Speaker 8: boy's name. You know, yeah, I just saw you guys
- 23:03Speaker 8: were great. You guys were great together on the news.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 23:06Speaker 6: Bill.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Bill Evans had us all out in the Hamptons a
- 23:08Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago, so I was at with her
- 23:10Speaker 2: and we had a good time. It was nice to
- 23:12Speaker 2: see her again. And Rob, you have a happy Thanksgiving,
- 23:14Speaker 2: my friend. Thanks for checking in all right. Seven to
- 23:17Speaker 2: ten WR the Voice of New York. This is Ken Rosotto,
- 23:20Speaker 2: win from Mark the day before Thanksgiving. A little bit
- 23:22Speaker 2: later we'll speak with financial expert Ron Glasgow about how
- 23:25Speaker 2: Americans planned to spend their money this Black Friday. At
- 23:28Speaker 2: least one survey suggests people plan to spend less this
- 23:31Speaker 2: year than last.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Now more of the Mark Simone Show on seven to
- 23:35Speaker 1: ten wo R fulling in for Mark.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Here again is Ken Rosatto.
- 23:40Speaker 2: And good to be with you on the Wednesday before
- 23:43Speaker 2: Thanksgiving and Mark has enjoined a nice long weekend.
- 23:46Speaker 7: You know.
- 23:46Speaker 2: New data from Deloitte shows that Americans are planning on
- 23:49Speaker 2: spending less this Black Friday. Than in years past. It's
- 23:53Speaker 2: a reversal from tradition. Financial expert Ron Glasgow is here
- 23:57Speaker 2: to talk about some possible reasons why and what MA
- 24:01Speaker 2: way you want to do to ensure that we have
- 24:03Speaker 2: our budgets done to control in twenty twenty six. Good morning,
- 24:05Speaker 2: Ron Glasgow, Good morning. How are you good? Very good?
- 24:09Speaker 2: Happy Thanksgiving in a little early So this Deloitte data
- 24:12Speaker 2: should be a little concerning, right does it suggest a
- 24:15Speaker 2: contraction of economy? The economy could be on the way.
- 24:19Speaker 7: Yeah, I think it makes that suggestion. And I always
- 24:21Speaker 7: say you never want to look at any one article.
- 24:23Speaker 7: You want to look at a spattering. But you know,
- 24:25Speaker 7: article after article shows that consumer confidence is really down,
- 24:30Speaker 7: probably for the lowest sense three or four years ago,
- 24:32Speaker 7: when interest rates were really spiking. So, you know, to me,
- 24:37Speaker 7: it just feels like we've been on this bull market
- 24:39Speaker 7: for so long. You know, stocks are at all time high,
- 24:42Speaker 7: golden at all time high, everything's sort of it at
- 24:45Speaker 7: all time high, and you know, nothing goes up forever.
- 24:48Speaker 7: So to me, it kind of feels like a jack
- 24:49Speaker 7: in the box. And you know, every quarter that goes
- 24:51Speaker 7: by when we have these new highs, it's kind of
- 24:53Speaker 7: turning that crank a quarter of a turn and sooner
- 24:56Speaker 7: or later that Jackson to come out of the box.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Yeah, like musical chairs, music stops. No extra chair. Sorry.
- 25:02Speaker 2: The data is showing now that people who make under
- 25:04Speaker 2: fifty thousand a year plan on scaling back spending like
- 25:07Speaker 2: twelve percent. People who weren't over two hundred thousand plan
- 25:10Speaker 2: on cutting back eighteen percent. That shocked me because I
- 25:13Speaker 2: thought the people who made over two hundred thousand, well,
- 25:15Speaker 2: they'll make it up. Yeah, they'll be spending more money.
- 25:17Speaker 2: So is it just that people don't feel secure now
- 25:20Speaker 2: overall about what's coming up in the next couple of quarters.
- 25:24Speaker 7: Yeah, I think that's really it. You know, the markets
- 25:27Speaker 7: hate uncertainty, and there's quite a bit of that right now.
- 25:29Speaker 7: But just everyday people, you know, I'm pretty plugged into
- 25:33Speaker 7: my community and it's a fairly well to do community,
- 25:36Speaker 7: and people are, you know, concerned about prices. You know,
- 25:39Speaker 7: I did a podcast a while ago and on that
- 25:42Speaker 7: particular day, inflation came in at three percent instead of
- 25:45Speaker 7: three point one, and the markets in are all time high.
- 25:48Speaker 7: Well that's great for eggheads like me, but for everyday
- 25:51Speaker 7: people it doesn't matter, you know, it's you have this
- 25:55Speaker 7: massive run up in inflation. So now this set are control,
- 25:57Speaker 7: it doesn't mean that prices dial back. People were just
- 26:00Speaker 7: still gaining at a reasonable pace on top of that
- 26:02Speaker 7: massive jump, and that's very difficult to deal with.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I've heard some people say that. In fact,
- 26:08Speaker 2: Sean Hennedy was talking about this the other night. He said, look,
- 26:10Speaker 2: it's going to take until at least the middle of
- 26:12Speaker 2: next year before you see some of the changes that
- 26:17Speaker 2: were enacted by the Trump administration in terms of positively
- 26:21Speaker 2: affecting the economy. And then, if you know, you're maybe
- 26:23Speaker 2: too young to remember this, I'm fifty eight. Back in
- 26:26Speaker 2: the Reagan days, everybody said, oh, look it's Reagonomics isn't working.
- 26:30Speaker 2: It's a big failure. It took till two years, and
- 26:33Speaker 2: at two years, all of a sudden the economy flips.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Because in the late seventies we had total malaise. It
- 26:39Speaker 2: was a horrible economy, and people thought that was the
- 26:42Speaker 2: new normal. But it shifted. Nineteen eighty two to nineteen
- 26:46Speaker 2: eighty eight, the economy was gangbusters. So do we just
- 26:48Speaker 2: have to be patient or do you think this might
- 26:50Speaker 2: be kind of a long term deal. To deal with.
- 26:54Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, I do think that we need to
- 26:56Speaker 7: be patient, and that's one thing Americans just aren't very
- 26:59Speaker 7: good at.
- 27:00Speaker 6: You know.
- 27:01Speaker 7: You know, you people like love to throw darts at
- 27:03Speaker 7: President Trump, and I get it. The guy's a lightning
- 27:06Speaker 7: rod more than any other president I've ever seen in
- 27:08Speaker 7: my lifetime. And I do remember the great round of
- 27:09Speaker 7: Riggan by the way, Yes, but but uh, you know,
- 27:13Speaker 7: he's the lightning rod. So he's gonna get his share
- 27:15Speaker 7: of criticism and his followers are gonna love what he says.
- 27:17Speaker 7: But you know, the things you do with tariffs. You know,
- 27:20Speaker 7: I grew up with a steel mill town, and I
- 27:22Speaker 7: know that the Chinese would take advantage of us in
- 27:25Speaker 7: the seventies. So it's good he's doing some things. I
- 27:28Speaker 7: think what makes people nervous is is sort of this
- 27:31Speaker 7: back and forth. You know, we're gonna at tax Brazil
- 27:34Speaker 7: on coffee. We're gonna tax Vietnam on coffee. Now we're
- 27:36Speaker 7: gonna take that away. So but that's his style. You know,
- 27:39Speaker 7: the guy gets results and that's just the way he works.
- 27:41Speaker 7: That just unsettling to some people. But yes, I think
- 27:44Speaker 7: patients is key, and don't be afraid for the market
- 27:47Speaker 7: to pull back. That's a very normal thing. You know,
- 27:50Speaker 7: earlier this year we had one, and man, you just
- 27:52Speaker 7: before we were in the middle of a great recession again.
- 27:54Speaker 7: People are kind of freaking out, and you know, you've
- 27:57Speaker 7: got to uh manager savings your investments for sort of
- 28:01Speaker 7: an all weather portfolio and anticipate those pullbacks because they
- 28:04Speaker 7: do occur.
- 28:05Speaker 2: I think Trump is doing kind of a ropidope. You know,
- 28:07Speaker 2: he confuses you, he makes you look over here, and
- 28:09Speaker 2: then he does something on the other side. He really
- 28:12Speaker 2: is the kind of guy people, you know, many on
- 28:13Speaker 2: the left call him nuts, they call him he's losing it.
- 28:16Speaker 2: I think he is genius on a level that we
- 28:20Speaker 2: don't understand, and he plays chess on such a level
- 28:24Speaker 2: that we can't comprehend. And I just really do think
- 28:28Speaker 2: that what we look at as confusion or as lack
- 28:31Speaker 2: of planning is very planned on his part.
- 28:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:36Speaker 7: You know, clearly he's much moreter than I am. You know,
- 28:39Speaker 7: I'm a former marine. I could barely play checkers, let alone,
- 28:43Speaker 7: so he's got me.
- 28:44Speaker 2: I can't even play checkers. So there.
- 28:46Speaker 7: You know. Another guy that reminds me of is Jim Harbaugh,
- 28:48Speaker 7: the football you know, supposedly he thrives on a chaotic
- 28:51Speaker 7: environment and that's how he coaches and very successful. It's rare,
- 28:55Speaker 7: but it works for certain people.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 28:57Speaker 7: Well.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Look, the only thing that really concerns me, I'm sure
- 29:00Speaker 2: if you're you clearly know, but better than the economy.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Better on the economy than me. Consumer spending accounts for
- 29:07Speaker 2: seventy percent of the GDP, and so how will a
- 29:11Speaker 2: possible downswing of four percent and spending impact our gross
- 29:15Speaker 2: domestic product?
- 29:17Speaker 7: Yeah, and you know, I can't do the calculations on
- 29:19Speaker 7: the fly, but that is a massive concern. America's business
- 29:23Speaker 7: is business, and so when people stop spending and doing business,
- 29:26Speaker 7: it kind of has an avalanche effect. So that's the
- 29:29Speaker 7: real concern, is that people stop, and you know, I
- 29:32Speaker 7: think you're going to see it slow just because people
- 29:35Speaker 7: are starting to run out of money.
- 29:37Speaker 8: You know.
- 29:37Speaker 7: Something that is a little silly, but it comes to mind,
- 29:40Speaker 7: is if you remember the subway commercial five five dollars
- 29:42Speaker 7: foot long. I don't know how long ago that was,
- 29:45Speaker 7: but it wasn't very long.
- 29:46Speaker 6: You know.
- 29:46Speaker 7: I had to have my oil changed a couple of
- 29:47Speaker 7: weeks ago, and I stopped it in the subway for
- 29:49Speaker 7: the first time in a long time, the cheapest sub
- 29:51Speaker 7: on the Mediu was a Vegie sub at ten dollars
- 29:53Speaker 7: and twenty cents. Yeah, so again, I can't remember exactly
- 29:56Speaker 7: when that jingle stopped, but I know no one's income
- 29:58Speaker 7: is doubled in that time.
- 30:00Speaker 2: You know what I just went for? Listen. I never
- 30:02Speaker 2: went for a fancy haircut in my whole life, honestly.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I mean even when I was a news anchor over
- 30:06Speaker 2: at over at Channel seven here in New York, I
- 30:09Speaker 2: always went to supercuts. I'm sorry, people are gonna laugh.
- 30:12Speaker 2: They tease me all the time. Oh, you must go
- 30:14Speaker 2: to one of those fancy French places. Now I go
- 30:15Speaker 2: to Sue I call it supe coup. I go to
- 30:17Speaker 2: the supercou. It used to be like twelve ninety five.
- 30:21Speaker 2: It's twenty six dollars and you could go to a
- 30:24Speaker 2: barber and spend less. Now it seems than it's some supercuts.
- 30:27Speaker 2: It's just amazing. And yes, like you said, in a year,
- 30:31Speaker 2: it jumped from like seventeen or whatever to twenty six.
- 30:34Speaker 2: It's amazing. What's happening to with inflation right now? So
- 30:37Speaker 2: it's a little unnerving, I'm sure. So what's a website
- 30:40Speaker 2: for people to read more about you. Ron.
- 30:42Speaker 7: Oh sure, Glasgow Investments dot com Glasgow like the City
- 30:45Speaker 7: of Scotland Investments dot com.
- 30:47Speaker 2: There you go, financial expert Ron Glasgow. Thank you for

- 31:44Speaker 3: Today, here's Ken Rosatto.
- 31:46Speaker 2: And straight to our busy phones. On this Wednesday, yes,
- 31:49Speaker 2: even the day before Thanksgiving, we go to Robert in Westchester.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Good morning Robert, Good morning Ken.
- 31:55Speaker 9: How are you in? Happy Thanksgiving?
- 31:57Speaker 2: Happy Thanksgiving? What going do for Robert?
- 32:03Speaker 9: This is my problem with the Democrats and especially the
- 32:06Speaker 9: people that vote for them. For four years, they lied
- 32:10Speaker 9: to the entire nation about immigration and the border. For
- 32:15Speaker 9: four years we had the barbarian hordes stampede our country.
- 32:19Speaker 9: And now every taxpayer is afflicted with having to use
