- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with her radio. All Right,
- 0:05Speaker 1: you ready for this? I am ready, Yes, almost famous,
- 0:09Speaker 1: the o G s. We're back, We're We're back in
- 0:13Speaker 1: the saddle. Now. We weren't gone. We just happened to
- 0:16Speaker 1: be in a couple of different locations where we did
- 0:17Speaker 1: some stuff and some things and we both had really fun,
- 0:21Speaker 1: really fun interviews. I know, I wish they could have
- 0:24Speaker 1: been together, but it was. I did have a great
- 0:27Speaker 1: time talking to Jesse, and I know you had fun
- 0:29Speaker 1: talking to Zach and playing some golf, and I just
- 0:32Speaker 1: couldn't make it. The kid's schedules, I think I can't remember,
- 0:36Speaker 1: but it was. I think it was a dance competition,
- 0:38Speaker 1: which is my life right now. Um, all good, no complaints,
- 0:42Speaker 1: but I wish I could fit it all in, you know,
- 0:46Speaker 1: you know it was. It was actually kind of a
- 0:48Speaker 1: weird circumstance that made the whole thing happen for me.
- 0:51Speaker 1: So originally we were supposed to go to l A
- 0:53Speaker 1: for the holidays Odyssey, Kanyon's family and the boys both
- 0:57Speaker 1: got sick, so we ended up pushing that trip to
- 1:01Speaker 1: the middle of January, which sunk up perfectly with you know,
- 1:04Speaker 1: going back and forth and actually being able to go
- 1:06Speaker 1: to Carmel for a couple of days because I was
- 1:08Speaker 1: already in l A. So it was actually a flight
- 1:11Speaker 1: and UM had a great conversation with Zach the current Bachelor,
- 1:15Speaker 1: who really really nice guy, and then UM also got
- 1:19Speaker 1: to hang out with Clayton, the previous Bachelor and get
- 1:22Speaker 1: to know him a little bit and uh, and then
- 1:24Speaker 1: some of the usual suspects were there too, which was
- 1:26Speaker 1: a lot of fun. And yeah, it was. It was
- 1:29Speaker 1: a really good week, really a really good week, you
- 1:32Speaker 1: know there and I and I actually really loved it
- 1:34Speaker 1: and I loved that area. I mean, I'm a big
- 1:36Speaker 1: fan of Monterey, so yeah, I'm jealous. Did you get
- 1:42Speaker 1: to meet Ashley and Jared's huty pie little boy? I
- 1:46Speaker 1: did not know, I think after I had already left
- 1:49Speaker 1: to go home, so got it. Yeah, we had to
- 1:53Speaker 1: get back, okay anymore, he's really cute though, Dawson is
- 1:57Speaker 1: so cute, doble. But yeah, so there was a really
- 2:01Speaker 1: fun time. We were there for the you know, the
- 2:04Speaker 1: Pebble Beach celebrity pro am thing and that was really
- 2:07Speaker 1: it's like a bucket list item. So I got to
- 2:09Speaker 1: watch Wells smack the ball around a little bit and
- 2:12Speaker 1: we had It's just a great time. So but I'm
- 2:15Speaker 1: really excited about today too because I had to reconnect
- 2:19Speaker 1: with someone from from my past. In fact, our guest
- 2:25Speaker 1: today is a Stella Gardener, Stella Rene Gardener, who was
- 2:30Speaker 1: the Final Ladies Standing on my season of The Bachelor,
- 2:37Speaker 1: Final Ladies Standing. That that's so funny because I remember,
- 2:42Speaker 1: I mean, Estella could attest to this. They you know,
- 2:44Speaker 1: back then as we as we referred too many times,
- 2:46Speaker 1: but it wasn't like if you had a personality and
- 2:50Speaker 1: you said things that didn't exactly fit the script. A
- 2:52Speaker 1: lot of that stuff was kind of left on the
- 2:54Speaker 1: cutting room floor. And I'll never forget it. Standing in
- 2:56Speaker 1: front of those ladies and you know, it's night one
- 2:59Speaker 1: and they're thirty ladies in the room and I've got,
- 3:02Speaker 1: you know, I don't remember, maybe fifteen roses or something,
- 3:05Speaker 1: and I remember literally saying to them, those of you
- 3:09Speaker 1: who go home tonight, you're welcome, because this is a mess.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Like whoever actually gets to stay. I feel really, you know,
- 3:21Speaker 1: I feel like I should almost like like this rose
- 3:24Speaker 1: should come with an apology. Um, But but it was
- 3:29Speaker 1: so much fun and the person if he had a
- 3:32Speaker 1: high Estella we're just talking about. I was just to say,
- 3:34Speaker 1: if there was a first impression rose back then, which
- 3:38Speaker 1: we really didn't have that like it wasn't like you know,
- 3:41Speaker 1: but Estella would have definitely gotten it because she came
- 3:44Speaker 1: out of a limo with such you know, obviously studyingly beautiful,
- 3:48Speaker 1: but comes out in the limit with just this great
- 3:49Speaker 1: energy and um, you know, it was so fun and
- 3:52Speaker 1: just like literally was almost like one of those people
- 3:56Speaker 1: that I would like be looking for because she was
- 3:59Speaker 1: so like like a calming presence on what was pretty
- 4:03Speaker 1: much a zoo of a night. You know, my mom
- 4:05Speaker 1: shows up randomly, and you know, all sorts of other
- 4:08Speaker 1: craziness ensues. But I remember, like there were times when
- 4:11Speaker 1: I look around the room and be like, oh, there's
- 4:12Speaker 1: a Stella, you know, and I start to walk towards her,
- 4:14Speaker 1: and all of a sudden I get grabbed by you know,
- 4:16Speaker 1: Sally and or someone. Okay, we're going this way. I'd
- 4:18Speaker 1: be like, I hope I was gonna go say Hi, No,
- 4:20Speaker 1: you already talked to her. You talked to her for
- 4:21Speaker 1: like five minutes. Pomp. You know that's good, Like we
- 4:25Speaker 1: get it. She's getting a rounds. We know that. Okay,
- 4:27Speaker 1: moving on, let's go, you know, and that was kind
- 4:31Speaker 1: of a crazy night, but it stuff coming on the show.
- 4:34Speaker 1: You're welcome, How are you? Thanks very kind. I'm a
- 4:38Speaker 1: good and I didn't know it's going to be a video,
- 4:41Speaker 1: but hey, well you look beautiful. You look beautiful. Yeah,
- 4:49Speaker 1: thank you. And honestly it's only pushed out to social
- 4:52Speaker 1: so it's it's you know, oh no, I'm I just
- 4:54Speaker 1: do little stories up all the time anyway, so I'm
- 4:58Speaker 1: sure it comes with the job. So okay, I have
- 5:01Speaker 1: to get the elephant out of the room, right out
- 5:03Speaker 1: the gate. Have you guys talked in you know, I
- 5:07Speaker 1: guess any twenty years almost right? How long is it?
- 5:12Speaker 1: I would love to know if you guys have talked.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I'll answer that questions I already say yes we have,
- 5:19Speaker 1: of course, but I'll let us all answer that. Yeah,
- 5:21Speaker 1: we have, we've talked many, we've gotten we've we've talked,
- 5:25Speaker 1: we've gotten together and uh, you know, it was such
- 5:28Speaker 1: a crazy time in our life and we had just
- 5:31Speaker 1: such a really beautiful connection and it was like such
- 5:34Speaker 1: a crazy experience. And you know, with all of that,
- 5:38Speaker 1: that world can be a little crazy. Sometimes, and I
- 5:41Speaker 1: think there were some challenges after the show was done.
- 5:44Speaker 1: And then you know, of course, um Bob married someone
- 5:47Speaker 1: else and oh yeah that that happened. Oh yeah, that happened.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Uh yeah, but he was you know, he was so wonderful.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You reached down and he just was like, hey, I
- 6:02Speaker 1: just wanna just a lot of integrity that I want
- 6:04Speaker 1: to apologize to you for anything I did that ma'am
- 6:07Speaker 1: hurt you. And that was really I thought, and pretty empy.
- 6:12Speaker 1: It's very sweet of you to say that I loved
- 6:14Speaker 1: I loved our experience together, and let's talk about something else.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I also really loved your mom. I loved your mom,
- 6:23Speaker 1: and I know she just passed and I'm so sorry.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And she was such a lovely word. It's so interesting
- 6:30Speaker 1: when we talk about the show, and I always I mean,
- 6:33Speaker 1: you know, I when I tell stories about oh then
- 6:36Speaker 1: we did this and we did that. I always love
- 6:38Speaker 1: to talk about Estella's mom because she was so fantastic,
- 6:43Speaker 1: like such an incredible person. And I remember sitting in
- 6:46Speaker 1: a Stella's beautiful apartment and you know, and and she
- 6:49Speaker 1: and her mom were having like some conversations where they
- 6:52Speaker 1: were signing, and I was like sitting there kind of going, Okay,
- 6:57Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not understanding exactly what's going on there,
- 7:00Speaker 1: but you know, it was so passionate between them, and
- 7:03Speaker 1: the connection was such that it was like beautiful. It
- 7:05Speaker 1: was almost like you know, I mean, I really do
- 7:07Speaker 1: mean this. It was like listening to someone speak in
- 7:10Speaker 1: another language and thinking, oh my god, that's such a
- 7:12Speaker 1: beautiful language and that you know. But I was watching
- 7:15Speaker 1: the two of them talk and I was like, I wish,
- 7:17Speaker 1: I wish I would have learned sign language, and I
- 7:20Speaker 1: wish I knew this because it looks beautiful the way
- 7:22Speaker 1: that they're communicating with one another. And it was just
- 7:24Speaker 1: a nice we were we were actually behind the scenes
- 7:27Speaker 1: and my mom, do not say this, do not say that.
- 7:32Speaker 1: It was such a handy drift. And all the producers
- 7:34Speaker 1: were like, you guys have to stop signing there, like
- 7:37Speaker 1: this is not good TV guys because they're signing. I'm like,
- 7:40Speaker 1: it was pretty funny, but yeah, you I know, your
- 7:42Speaker 1: mom just passed away, and I'm so sorry, and and
- 7:46Speaker 1: I mean, she was just so lovely. She was just
- 7:50Speaker 1: the very most important person in my life. And I
- 7:53Speaker 1: appreciate you saying that she loved being on the show,
- 7:56Speaker 1: and she loved meeting at you and loved meeting Oprah.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Uh it was just such a great time for her.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And uh, yeah, I really appreciate you, um, you know,
- 8:09Speaker 1: sharing that because she really just was such a special
- 8:12Speaker 1: human and um, it's very hard to see her go.
- 8:16Speaker 1: And um, but Bob, and the same thing as with
- 8:19Speaker 1: your father. Your father was an incredible man. And I
- 8:22Speaker 1: was so heartbroken when you when you had to share
- 8:26Speaker 1: that he had passed. And so yeah, you know, your
- 8:30Speaker 1: family was everything. And I remember enough to share something
- 8:33Speaker 1: when we were on our the hometown date. It was
- 8:36Speaker 1: so sweet because it was just my mom and I. Um,
- 8:39Speaker 1: it was always just my mom and and we did
- 8:42Speaker 1: everything together. And Bob and Norah both they looked at
- 8:46Speaker 1: me and they said, we would be so happy to
- 8:49Speaker 1: have you part of our family. For you to bring
- 8:51Speaker 1: your mom, and we would love to be with you
- 8:53Speaker 1: and your mom and you guys will be part of
- 8:55Speaker 1: our family. Yeah. I can't believe I've never been out
- 8:57Speaker 1: a call with two of my ex girlfriends at the
- 8:59Speaker 1: same time. This is crazy. Yes, you have so how
- 9:18Speaker 1: is life we I know that you recently got married.
- 9:22Speaker 1: How is married life treating you? Oh I love it.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I love it so much, and you know it took
- 9:28Speaker 1: me obviously a lot longer than anyone else, but it
- 9:32Speaker 1: was worth it. That's okay. Yes, you know I I
- 9:36Speaker 1: always um knew that from me, like I want to
- 9:41Speaker 1: I want to be married once, not that it. You know,
- 9:42Speaker 1: some people are married a couple of times, so that's
- 9:45Speaker 1: but some people in this call that's me more than twice. Yeah,
- 9:54Speaker 1: you know, for me, I wanted to get married a
- 9:56Speaker 1: bunch and then uh is my dream of a little
- 9:58Speaker 1: black like you mean, I want to do that? And
- 10:01Speaker 1: then for me, you know, I always you know, but
- 10:08Speaker 1: enough about me? Yes, so you well, I think guys,
- 10:11Speaker 1: do you need to go through a marriage or two
- 10:13Speaker 1: before they before you get somewhere the hero? But now
- 10:21Speaker 1: he um, I you know, wait, he's just amazing. I
- 10:25Speaker 1: just love being married to him. He's my best friend,
- 10:28Speaker 1: we're business partners, we do everything, I mean where you
- 10:32Speaker 1: just do life together and he's just an extraordinary man
- 10:36Speaker 1: and he um just he just loves me so incredibly. Well,
- 10:41Speaker 1: it's amazing and I just love him so much. So
- 10:43Speaker 1: it's really really lovely. Your posts are beautiful. I feel
- 10:46Speaker 1: like you're like like the two of you together. Like,
- 10:49Speaker 1: I'm really bad at posting things, so like I never
- 10:52Speaker 1: think that anything is being conveyed through my messaging other
- 10:55Speaker 1: than the fact that I really must love my kids. Uh.
- 10:58Speaker 1: But every time you guys post anything, it's like, oh
- 11:01Speaker 1: my god, they're so someone love. This is so awesome.
- 11:04Speaker 1: And then you started a new business. Can you mentioned
- 11:07Speaker 1: you guys are business partners in that too. You've got
- 11:08Speaker 1: so much going on. Yeah, yeah, so we UM. We
- 11:12Speaker 1: started UM last April. We've we've only been open almost
- 11:17Speaker 1: a year. And I just I've been teaching for a
- 11:19Speaker 1: long time. So I've been a health and wellness coach
- 11:21Speaker 1: for a very long time. And I was teaching lagree,
- 11:23Speaker 1: which is what I what my studio is. It's a workout.
- 11:25Speaker 1: It's like a pilates and strength training workout, and I've
- 11:28Speaker 1: been teaching that for fifteen years. Yeah, and I love
- 11:32Speaker 1: the workout. I've always loved the workout and UM and
- 11:36Speaker 1: so I started learning about infrared and the health benefits
- 11:40Speaker 1: of infrared and obviously for brain health, it is one
- 11:43Speaker 1: of them. And my mom, I don't know a trust
- 11:46Speaker 1: if you knew that my mom passed away, she at alzheimer,
- 11:48Speaker 1: So she's so brain health UM is a focus of
- 11:52Speaker 1: mine and has been on the Certified Brain Health Coach,
- 11:55Speaker 1: and my husband's mom also has it, so UM, I
- 11:59Speaker 1: just knew the benfits of it. I wanted to bring
- 12:01Speaker 1: it into the workout. I wanted us to have a
- 12:02Speaker 1: place that wasn't just a workout because I've been working
- 12:05Speaker 1: out for so long. I wanted something that was also
- 12:07Speaker 1: focused on recovery and healing your body. So it's been
- 12:11Speaker 1: really cool. I mean, no one's done it, So this
- 12:14Speaker 1: is where the you know, I put the studio together
- 12:17Speaker 1: with my husband and I wasn't sure how people were gonna,
- 12:20Speaker 1: you know, really take it. I mean a lot of
- 12:21Speaker 1: people surprisingly don't know about infrared and the health benefits
- 12:25Speaker 1: of it, and so I just was I wasn't quite
- 12:28Speaker 1: sure how people would respond, but I knew it's something
- 12:30Speaker 1: that I wanted to do and it's just been a
- 12:33Speaker 1: huge blessing and people love it. They love the workouts.
- 12:35Speaker 1: We have infrared saunas, which Trista, I think you guys,
- 12:39Speaker 1: I think Ryan, we have one. Yeah, I was. I
- 12:42Speaker 1: was actually just going to ask you tell me more
- 12:44Speaker 1: because we have one in our house. Because of friend's diagnosis,
- 12:49Speaker 1: with lyme disease. And are you doing like you're saying
- 12:53Speaker 1: infrared but doing the workouts? Are you working out while
- 12:56Speaker 1: you're in the sauna or how do you or is
- 13:00Speaker 1: it something that you have people get in afterwards? Yeah,
- 13:03Speaker 1: So we actually have good infrared. We have one spectrum
- 13:07Speaker 1: of infrared over the workout the machine, and we have
- 13:12Speaker 1: red light also over the machine. And then and then
- 13:15Speaker 1: we have we have separate sauna room. So after they
- 13:18Speaker 1: do the workout, sometimes before because it actually helps give
- 13:21Speaker 1: your energy for your workout, they will go in a
- 13:23Speaker 1: sauna and do a do a sauna that is so cool?
- 13:28Speaker 1: Do you does it? Um? Because obviously ours is in
- 13:31Speaker 1: a like a sauna I feel like is an enclosed space.
- 13:35Speaker 1: So since you have it above and in front of
- 13:38Speaker 1: or wherever, does it not dissipate and or is it
- 13:42Speaker 1: still effective it's still infect just the range of where
- 13:47Speaker 1: it is. It's not as kind of training as the
- 13:50Speaker 1: saunas are. The sauna as I call them like little
- 13:52Speaker 1: healing machines. I mean they're going to punish a lot
- 13:54Speaker 1: deeper the ones above the machine and how we have
- 13:57Speaker 1: it for the workout, it's gonna heat your core temperature
- 13:59Speaker 1: up a lot quick, or you're gonna burn more calories
- 14:01Speaker 1: than you would a normal degree workout. It HAPs with recovery,
- 14:04Speaker 1: it helps with muscles um sleep. People feel like they're
- 14:07Speaker 1: sleeping better since they started doing the workout. It's more surface, right,
- 14:11Speaker 1: It's not as kind of trading as the saunas are.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Where can people go to find more information on your studios?
- 14:18Speaker 1: Agree l A g R E read r E d
- 14:23Speaker 1: so lagree is the workout read obviously and for red
- 14:26Speaker 1: so lagree red dot com. And then we're on Instagram
- 14:29Speaker 1: and Facebook, and and I saw your post. I saw
- 14:35Speaker 1: the post you had with all of the instructors at
- 14:38Speaker 1: your studio and everything. That was really you've got a
- 14:40Speaker 1: lot of people on board. That's a cool crew. I
- 14:43Speaker 1: mean people or something like that. There's a ton of people. Oh,
- 14:47Speaker 1: I love my instructors, you guys. I have just the
- 14:50Speaker 1: most beautiful team. They're just they always step up. Everyone
- 14:54Speaker 1: cares about the clients. And and then we're in Carl's
- 14:57Speaker 1: Bad and the community. We're like by the beach, so
- 15:00Speaker 1: I think, let me buy the beach. I think people
- 15:02Speaker 1: are really friendly, Yeah, they're happy, Yeah, awesome community. And
- 15:12Speaker 1: my husband and I always talk like we just feel
- 15:15Speaker 1: so grateful. Just it's been a blessing. And I think
- 15:18Speaker 1: when you're intention and in business and in life is
- 15:21Speaker 1: just how can we be of service? How can we
- 15:24Speaker 1: when you have that intention? Like the world just gives
- 15:27Speaker 1: you that right back? You know, absolutely? I love that.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Now let's talk about how you guys met, because I
- 15:34Speaker 1: think it's pretty cool. Uh you know, I've always it's
- 15:38Speaker 1: kind of interesting after being on the show like The
- 15:41Speaker 1: Bachelor and the Bachelorette. Um, it's kind of funny because
- 15:44Speaker 1: people will always be like, you know, oh well you
- 15:46Speaker 1: probably you know you've already done something crazy, so you
- 15:49Speaker 1: would never do online dating? And I was like, you know,
- 15:52Speaker 1: I wouldn't personally I didn't have to, I guess, but
- 15:55Speaker 1: I would have. I mean, I just kept marrying everybody
- 15:57Speaker 1: I met, but getting kidding an um, but I should work,
- 16:04Speaker 1: you know, keep trying this three times. But for me,
- 16:08Speaker 1: I was the only person you get married, That's right.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I I let you let you avoid that pain. I
- 16:12Speaker 1: let you both ought of that out of that pain.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Um Sella, do you remember? So I was telling Trista
- 16:22Speaker 1: before you came on that I I was like, you know,
- 16:24Speaker 1: the show was so different back then, obviously, and so
- 16:26Speaker 1: a lot more formulaic. We all know that to be true. Now,
- 16:29Speaker 1: it's like sometimes just craziness ensues and they let it happen.
- 16:33Speaker 1: But I remember back then. I remember having like fifteen
- 16:36Speaker 1: flowers and thirty ladies, and I remember giving a speech
- 16:39Speaker 1: that I thought was awesome and I'm like, oh, this
- 16:42Speaker 1: is definitely gonna make it. And I basically ended it
- 16:45Speaker 1: with for those of you who do not get a
- 16:47Speaker 1: roast tonight, you're welcome because this is crazy or something.
- 16:51Speaker 1: And I remember, you remember everyone laughed and I was like, oh,
- 16:54Speaker 1: that was so good. You know, they never used it
- 16:56Speaker 1: the good night. I'm like, oh no that. Do you
- 17:03Speaker 1: remember the other blooper where um where I had a
- 17:05Speaker 1: rose and I was nervous, right, So I was like,
- 17:07Speaker 1: you know, I'm holding my my rose and I'm like okay,
- 17:10Speaker 1: you know, and they they're like, you know, giving me
- 17:11Speaker 1: the signal from behind, and so I'm like waiting and waiting,
- 17:14Speaker 1: and then they give me another and I'm like Debbie
- 17:17Speaker 1: and it was I don't know what name I said,
- 17:19Speaker 1: but the top of the rose flew off. Do you
- 17:21Speaker 1: remember that? And I don't know what to do because
- 17:26Speaker 1: it's just like literally one of my first like five roses,
- 17:29Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh, and so I just sort of
- 17:31Speaker 1: held it there, you know, with my stem in my hand,
- 17:33Speaker 1: and she comes walking up because she doesn't know what
- 17:35Speaker 1: to do either, and they haven't stopped us. And I'm like, Debbie,
- 17:38Speaker 1: will you accept this stem? And she's like like it
- 17:43Speaker 1: goes back, and they're like, okay, this is when this
- 17:45Speaker 1: is when I really realized the reality TV wasn't super reality.
- 17:48Speaker 1: And they're like, we're going to start that over Get
- 17:51Speaker 1: Fresh Rose, you know, the whole bit. But that was
- 17:54Speaker 1: pretty funny. I'm glad. So going back to how you met,
- 17:59Speaker 1: tell us this story of how you were open to
- 18:02Speaker 1: the Bachelor obviously, and that probably aligned with how you
- 18:07Speaker 1: were open to how you met your husband's would tell
- 18:09Speaker 1: us the well, I was open to the Bachelor, but
- 18:12Speaker 1: I wasn't open to match dot Com. You weren't, no.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I Well, so you know when I when I did
- 18:19Speaker 1: The Bachelor, I was so young and back I was seven,
- 18:22Speaker 1: and I think when you're twenty seven, we'll at least
- 18:24Speaker 1: at that. For me, I didn't really like think about like, oh,
- 18:28Speaker 1: the consequences are, what could happen or getting heard or
- 18:31Speaker 1: any of that kind of because you're still young and
- 18:33Speaker 1: you know, you don't really think about those things. And
- 18:36Speaker 1: so I was way more open to The Bachelor, and
- 18:39Speaker 1: and actually it was I ended up doing I know,
- 18:41Speaker 1: the Bachelor, like they usually take about six months and
- 18:43Speaker 1: how when they they interviewed the girls, and it's such
- 18:47Speaker 1: a really long process, and for me, it happened within
- 18:51Speaker 1: a couple of weeks. So they had already picked all
- 18:53Speaker 1: the girls, they had already had everyone picked out, and
- 18:57Speaker 1: just so happened that one of my girlfriends had submitted
- 18:59Speaker 1: my short but little short application they had online and
- 19:03Speaker 1: they had forgotten to take Bob down. They forgot to
- 19:05Speaker 1: take the whole application down, and it mind just happened
- 19:08Speaker 1: to get through. And so they're like, well, she's a
- 19:11Speaker 1: mortgage broker, she's dark hair, um, she lives in l A.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Let's just meet her. And so it actually it happened
- 19:22Speaker 1: so quick. They called me the very next day and
- 19:24Speaker 1: then everything they sent me to the psychologists, which I'm
- 19:28Speaker 1: so surprised I was even on this show because I
- 19:31Speaker 1: totally failed that test and I have no idea how
- 19:33Speaker 1: I was able to go when they show you fail
- 19:35Speaker 1: that test? How can you fail that test? Do you
- 19:38Speaker 1: know who they have on the show, like, not you,
- 19:41Speaker 1: but the other people? How can you fail that test?
- 19:44Speaker 1: I think the people who fail to have on the
- 19:46Speaker 1: show's good. No, I'm joking though, but it was. It
- 19:53Speaker 1: didn't happen so quickly. And I remember my mom giving
- 19:56Speaker 1: me advice about it, because you know, I think if
- 19:59Speaker 1: I would have had a lot more time to think
- 20:00Speaker 1: about it, I wouldn't have done this show. If I
- 20:02Speaker 1: would have had that six months to be able to
- 20:04Speaker 1: bell out, yeah, I would have freaked myself out probably.
- 20:07Speaker 1: But my mom, she said, honey, I called my mom.
- 20:10Speaker 1: She was the only person I called. She said, honey, Um,
- 20:14Speaker 1: just go on, just be yourself and just you know,
- 20:17Speaker 1: let it, let the cards fall where they may. And
- 20:20Speaker 1: that's what I did. And um, And so the show
- 20:23Speaker 1: The Bachelor was way more open to UM. But then
- 20:27Speaker 1: dating online I was not open to. I did not
- 20:31Speaker 1: want to do it. That's why I hired a coach, um.
- 20:34Speaker 1: And she said, oh yeah, oh yeah, I hired in
- 20:38Speaker 1: a very expensive dating coach. She was worth every funny
- 20:45Speaker 1: And did she tell you to go on match? Yeah,
- 20:48Speaker 1: well that was part of it. She's like, at the
- 20:50Speaker 1: end of this, you're gonna go on match and I'm
- 20:52Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna help you with the whole. But first
- 20:54Speaker 1: she works on like whatever is blocking your heart from
- 20:58Speaker 1: wanting to have a long because obviously, you know, I
- 21:01Speaker 1: had done all the work that I thought I could
- 21:04Speaker 1: do on myself to you know, relate, to to bring
- 21:07Speaker 1: someone into my life. As far as internally, I always
- 21:10Speaker 1: worked on myself, like how can I be a better
- 21:12Speaker 1: version of myself? But she really was amazing. I mean
- 21:15Speaker 1: she discovered like that my heart was still blocked and
- 21:18Speaker 1: from you know, obviously we all get hurt, and you
- 21:21Speaker 1: know I had lost from who was it blocked from. Sorry,
- 21:24Speaker 1: I think correcting this tacting my friend Trista. Thanks buddy,
- 21:38Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. I mean, I love that he reached
- 21:41Speaker 1: out to you and you know said I'm sorry if
- 21:43Speaker 1: I ever hurt you, Like I love that, Bob. I
- 21:46Speaker 1: just you know, I'm his friend. I gotta give him
- 21:48Speaker 1: some you know, I love it. That takes a lot
- 21:51Speaker 1: of courage, It takes it's a lot of integrity, and
- 21:55Speaker 1: I think, you know because at the end of the day,
- 21:57Speaker 1: like this is life. You know, you go through life.
- 22:01Speaker 1: You you meet people, you fall love, and then you
- 22:04Speaker 1: fall out of love or you know, whatever it may be.
- 22:06Speaker 1: And Bob and I were meant to do that period
- 22:09Speaker 1: of time together, but we weren't meant to be life partners,
- 22:13Speaker 1: you know. And I think, you know, I think when
- 22:15Speaker 1: you can come around and if you've done something that
- 22:18Speaker 1: you're not fully um, that you're not aligned with, and
- 22:21Speaker 1: you can say I'm sorry for that, I think that
- 22:23Speaker 1: that just goes a long way. I think to be
- 22:25Speaker 1: able to look somebody and I and just say, you
- 22:27Speaker 1: know what, I'm sorry, I'm sorry I hurt you, and
- 22:30Speaker 1: a lot of people have a hard time doing that,
- 22:32Speaker 1: and it just cleans everything up. It just agree, it's
- 22:36Speaker 1: what I want my kids to be. Helps that you're
- 22:38Speaker 1: such a forgiving person to for you know what I mean.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Like also, Estella was open to that type of a
- 22:43Speaker 1: conversation as opposed to you know, something might not be
- 22:46Speaker 1: so you know, that's very kind of you too. But
- 22:49Speaker 1: so you you get this coach, and the coach teaches
- 22:52Speaker 1: you how to open up and be ready and then
- 22:54Speaker 1: you can together your profile or what's next. So then
- 22:58Speaker 1: she like wants to know you have to write a
- 23:00Speaker 1: profile for your match dot Com. And it was so
- 23:03Speaker 1: funny because she said, look, if you do this program
- 23:06Speaker 1: exactly the way I tell you to do it, and
- 23:08Speaker 1: exactly the way I tell you to do it, everything
- 23:10Speaker 1: I tell you to do, you do. I promise you
- 23:12Speaker 1: you'll meet your partner that it's like an amazing partner
- 23:15Speaker 1: for life. And so when I got to the match
- 23:17Speaker 1: dot Com, I'm like and then she's like, then the profile.
- 23:23Speaker 1: You have to write this profile and it's long, and
- 23:26Speaker 1: it's this story, and it's like this whole because she
- 23:29Speaker 1: actually works with like very she's worked with all these
- 23:31Speaker 1: different like you know, profile writers, and I mean it's
- 23:34Speaker 1: a pretty extensive program. And they say to do it
- 23:37Speaker 1: a certain way, like write it as a story so
- 23:39Speaker 1: that men are very visual and they need to they
- 23:42Speaker 1: see themselves in your life, So write a story and
- 23:44Speaker 1: how they can fit in your life. And it's so
- 23:47Speaker 1: long and very vulnerable. And I am living in San Diego.
- 23:51Speaker 1: I know everybody in San Diego because I grew up
- 23:53Speaker 1: here and I think business here and I'm like, oh,
- 23:57Speaker 1: please don't make me do this. This is so whole.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Plus you know, just it was so vulnerable and exposing,
- 24:04Speaker 1: and I just went against my ego. I went against
- 24:07Speaker 1: like wanting to look good and not let anybody like
- 24:10Speaker 1: know any of my personal said and I just did
- 24:13Speaker 1: it and it was funny. I had so I have
- 24:15Speaker 1: girlfriends that have gone on Match, and she's like, I
- 24:18Speaker 1: just don't get a lot of hits. When when I
- 24:19Speaker 1: put my profile and I told about my profile, she
- 24:21Speaker 1: was like, no, don't do that. That's awful. It's so embarrassing.
- 24:25Speaker 1: And I literally had hundreds of people reaching out to
- 24:29Speaker 1: me when I put the profile up, and they were like,
- 24:31Speaker 1: best profile ever read? My husband really, oh yeah, And
- 24:35Speaker 1: my husband was like, that was hands down the best
- 24:37Speaker 1: profile I've ever read. He's like, I felt like I
- 24:39Speaker 1: had so much to talk to you about because you've
- 24:42Speaker 1: just given all this information and and so it was
- 24:45Speaker 1: really cute. So what she I did it exactly the
- 24:48Speaker 1: way she said it, and it worked and we actually
- 24:51Speaker 1: we actually met and started dating pretty quickly, so I
- 24:54Speaker 1: wasn't I didn't have to be on Match very long.
- 24:56Speaker 1: So that was a good theory. Good the first time
- 25:00Speaker 1: you guys got together, were you just like, Okay, this
- 25:02Speaker 1: this guy is exactly who I'm looking for. Yeah, I
- 25:05Speaker 1: mean pretty much. I didn't Actually he's so funny. He'll
- 25:09Speaker 1: tell you I put him through the ringer. I didn't
- 25:12Speaker 1: like go on actual date we had, He'll say I had.
- 25:15Speaker 1: We had like five phone calls, five face time dates,
- 25:18Speaker 1: and then I finally went on like a one physical
- 25:20Speaker 1: date with him and we went on a hike. He
- 25:21Speaker 1: wanted to go to dinner. I'm like, let's you want
- 25:23Speaker 1: to hike? But but yeah, when I when I met him,
- 25:29Speaker 1: and well, I remember we did our first face time
- 25:31Speaker 1: and he was so charming and we both very much.
- 25:35Speaker 1: We were we like to grow and learn, and we're
- 25:38Speaker 1: both spiritual and God it's a big part of our lives.
- 25:41Speaker 1: And so we talked a lot about that on our
- 25:44Speaker 1: our first face time and I knew, okay, this guy
- 25:46Speaker 1: is something special. And we went on a hike and
- 25:50Speaker 1: he reached over and he grabbed my hand and then
- 25:52Speaker 1: I felt the butterflies. Sorry, that's awesome. I'm so happy
- 25:57Speaker 1: for you. M h Okay, I want to know do
- 26:10Speaker 1: you still watch the show? And has your husband watched
- 26:13Speaker 1: your season? Okay, so it's really funny. So my husband
- 26:20Speaker 1: his his daughter, my stepdaughter, who's adorable and sweet. Um
- 26:23Speaker 1: he has two kids, so um, he has a daughter
- 26:26Speaker 1: and a son, and so my husband was like, oh,
- 26:29Speaker 1: you're on the Bachelor, and then like two years was
- 26:33Speaker 1: this early on? Was this okay? Got it? Well? He
- 26:38Speaker 1: he learned because he googled me and he's like, oh,
- 26:41Speaker 1: of course, of course, I'm like okay. And then his
- 26:47Speaker 1: daughter was like, my dad is a super fan. He
- 26:50Speaker 1: loves the Bachelor. Oh that she totally called him out.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, it's like, yeah, what is that? How
- 27:05Speaker 1: old was she when you guys met? So she's twenty four,
- 27:09Speaker 1: so she was one twenty two? Just got it? Yeah,
- 27:14Speaker 1: so she knew and had she watched your season? Um? No, no,
- 27:19Speaker 1: and I won't. Let's just watch your season. I'm like
- 27:25Speaker 1: absolutely not, No, no, did he did? He watched it
- 27:30Speaker 1: since he's a super faned he watched it back in
- 27:32Speaker 1: the day and just doesn't remember or skipped that one
- 27:35Speaker 1: or god, okay, he saw it. But his daughter was like,
- 27:40Speaker 1: yes you did, how funny? Or if you watched my
- 27:46Speaker 1: wedding because you guys were at my wedding, Yeah, yes,
- 27:55Speaker 1: thank you. You watch your weddings. Like, do you guys
- 27:58Speaker 1: ever sit down in your anniversary and throw that on
- 28:01Speaker 1: because it's so beautiful? I mean it was like, you're
- 28:04Speaker 1: the sweetest. Um no, I We've watched uh a little bit,
- 28:10Speaker 1: you know, clips here and there, but definitely it's not
- 28:14Speaker 1: like a tradition or anything. Maybe we should maybe at
- 28:18Speaker 1: twenty years, which is December, we'll do that. We'll start
- 28:22Speaker 1: doing that December. I love it. It's crazy crazy, I
- 28:30Speaker 1: mean really that is. I cannot believe the show has
- 28:33Speaker 1: been on for so long, right, yeah, right, crazy? Yeah.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Did you watch it before you were on Bob season? Oh? Yeah,
- 28:41Speaker 1: oh yeah, and I actually knew. I like obviously watched
- 28:45Speaker 1: Bob and you and Um I had gone through a
- 28:48Speaker 1: breakup and my girlfriends were They're like, oh my god,
- 28:51Speaker 1: Bob's the Bachelor. Oh actually, I kind of remember that
- 28:55Speaker 1: that you actually liked Bob and wanted to be on
- 28:58Speaker 1: his show if he was. Yes, that true. I had
- 29:01Speaker 1: a huge crush on him and I was. I was
- 29:04Speaker 1: dating my boyfriend at the time, and we would watch
- 29:07Speaker 1: The Bachelor and I'm like, oh, he's so funny, like
- 29:15Speaker 1: doing letting him Go. We had honestly, like I remember,
- 29:20Speaker 1: you know, like I mean I always say this, but
- 29:23Speaker 1: it was it was really interesting for me because I
- 29:26Speaker 1: really knew after that first night like I was like, Wow,
- 29:29Speaker 1: these Stella and Kelly Joe actually stuck out to me
- 29:32Speaker 1: more than anybody else. And it's almost like you feel
- 29:35Speaker 1: bad saying that because it's like, you know, you're you're
- 29:39Speaker 1: trying to remain with an open heart and everything, and
- 29:42Speaker 1: I really was, but I remember it would always just
- 29:44Speaker 1: come back to and I would like, literally, like I
- 29:46Speaker 1: said before, I remember we went on a water date.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Do you remember that a Stella went to a water park?
- 29:54Speaker 1: And I felt really bad because the whole time I
- 29:58Speaker 1: was just hanging out with a Stella. I'm like, you know,
- 30:02Speaker 1: we'd be walking away from like, you know, the Truro
- 30:04Speaker 1: stand together, you know, hey, let's get it a yeah,
- 30:06Speaker 1: And you know I felt bad, like, oh, that's why
- 30:09Speaker 1: I'm supposed to be how a to date with you
- 30:10Speaker 1: know these other four ladies as well. I gotta you
- 30:12Speaker 1: know my situation right here, But it was I think
- 30:16Speaker 1: that's really hard to do. That's really hard to do, though,
- 30:19Speaker 1: Like if you're feeling somebody, then spend time with them.
- 30:21Speaker 1: I feel like, if any if there's any advice to
- 30:24Speaker 1: give to the people on the show, especially the leads,
- 30:27Speaker 1: if you are wanting to spend time with someone then
- 30:30Speaker 1: spend time with them. It's your share, right. Well, now
- 30:33Speaker 1: it's so like we said, now it's so different. Now
- 30:35Speaker 1: you can do that now. I think they you know,
- 30:36Speaker 1: they'll be on a group date and they're like, I'm
- 30:38Speaker 1: just gonna take this lady over here and talk to
- 30:40Speaker 1: her for an hour and everyone's like okay, you know
- 30:43Speaker 1: where back then it was like, you know, it does
- 30:46Speaker 1: cause drama. It does cause drama. So um Like, especially nowadays,
- 30:51Speaker 1: it causes drama because of course, I'm sure there's a
- 30:54Speaker 1: little mix of the producers backs, you know, behind the
- 30:57Speaker 1: scenes going oh, how do you feel about being with
- 31:00Speaker 1: a stilla that entire time? You know? Oh yeah, yeah,
- 31:08Speaker 1: for sure. Do you watch the show now? Is Stella? Yeah?
- 31:11Speaker 1: My my husband and I will watch it, um not
- 31:15Speaker 1: as regularly, but like this season we're not we're not
- 31:18Speaker 1: watching it as much, but we'll watch it. When we
- 31:20Speaker 1: first started dating, I thought I never I actually stopped
- 31:23Speaker 1: watching it for a long time, and then when we
- 31:25Speaker 1: got together we started watching it. And it's fun. It's
- 31:28Speaker 1: like really fun to watch with him. And my husband's
- 31:30Speaker 1: like a total romantic. That's why he loves to watch.
- 31:33Speaker 1: He's just an absolute romantic. And um and he and
- 31:38Speaker 1: it's cute and I love him and I love watching
- 31:40Speaker 1: it with him, and I have my own commentary. And
- 31:43Speaker 1: I was gonna ask you had any actually right here?
- 31:47Speaker 1: You know insight? Yeah. Mine's mostly like oh stop, yes, right, well,
- 32:04Speaker 1: at least we know we got we gottah. You know,
- 32:06Speaker 1: you you found somebody with the same you know, aligned
- 32:09Speaker 1: to the same way. You're both romantics and spiritual and
- 32:13Speaker 1: you know, into the whole thing. And man, if you
- 32:14Speaker 1: can watch The Bachelor together, I think that really that
- 32:17Speaker 1: goes next level. My my wife and I we uh
- 32:20Speaker 1: we watch Real Housewives together and I act like I
- 32:23Speaker 1: don't like it, and I'd be like I can't believe
- 32:25Speaker 1: you're watching this. And then I'll be like what did
- 32:28Speaker 1: Davinda just say? And she's like, how do you know
- 32:29Speaker 1: their names? I'm like, oh, I can't get him to
- 32:34Speaker 1: watch Real Housewives with me. He's like, I will not.
- 32:36Speaker 1: He's like, that's the only one I will not watch them.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Like it's tough. It's tough because I find myself getting
- 32:43Speaker 1: roped in. I'm like, oh god, I am into this thing,
- 32:46Speaker 1: damn it. But it's so good, so good, so bad
- 32:52Speaker 1: that it's so good. Well, it has been amazing talking
- 32:57Speaker 1: to you with Sella. I'm so glad that you have
- 33:00Speaker 1: and find some time for us. I'm really sorry about
- 33:02Speaker 1: your mom. I'm really happy for your your marriage and
- 33:07Speaker 1: your business. And thank you for sharing all those tips.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Um and yeah, thanks for coming. It was great too.
- 33:15Speaker 1: I am so glad I got to see you again
- 33:18Speaker 1: and chat with you, and thank you so much for
- 33:20Speaker 1: having me on and and I just appreciate you guys,
- 33:24Speaker 1: and I appreciate you chatting me up and make sure
- 33:29Speaker 1: you reached out if you want any information about but girl,
- 33:32Speaker 1: get in your sauna four days a week. I am
- 33:36Speaker 1: going to do that. You should. They're amazing chicken, so
- 33:41Speaker 1: I could use and I can use all the help
- 33:43Speaker 1: I can get you to have kids. It's it's a
- 33:48Speaker 1: first of all, it's a really good idea. I advise
- 33:50Speaker 1: it to chasing them around. I could use a little
- 33:54Speaker 1: sauna action for sure. But so great to connect with
- 33:57Speaker 1: you again. We love you and uh you know, think
- 34:00Speaker 1: about you, and so happy for you and your business
- 34:02Speaker 1: and your husband. Please tell him we all say hello
- 34:04Speaker 1: and so happy to thank you you guys, have an
- 34:08Speaker 1: awesome day and maybe we'll chat soon. Thanks, isn't that nice.
- 34:18Speaker 1: I love that she's so sweet. I mean, seriously, I
- 34:22Speaker 1: know she was, you know, forgive me for giving you,
- 34:25Speaker 1: but I have to do that. I'm kind of you
- 34:27Speaker 1: have to, yeah, but um, I love that you guys
- 34:33Speaker 1: can just you know, very any hurt feelings. It seems
- 34:37Speaker 1: like she did that a very long time ago, went
- 34:40Speaker 1: after he called her, especially so I was always the
- 34:44Speaker 1: big thing about a style, and I was I mean,
- 34:46Speaker 1: we didn't get a chance to get into it. But
- 34:48Speaker 1: you know, back in those days, it was tough because
- 34:51Speaker 1: I remember we finished filming in uh July July, and
- 34:57Speaker 1: then we had to do that whole for aid for
- 35:01Speaker 1: for the next five months. You did five months. We
- 35:04Speaker 1: did five months. Yeah, because yeah, they extended my season
- 35:11Speaker 1: um that year, so that so that it was only
- 35:13Speaker 1: like a week off before your wedding, and so they
- 35:17Speaker 1: pushed to my wedding. Oh I'm sorry. It was not
- 35:20Speaker 1: your fault. They wanted it for sweeps week. They told me.
- 35:24Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, that's cool. I didn't even know what
- 35:26Speaker 1: that was. I'm like, god, I love sweeps. But it
- 35:28Speaker 1: was they you know, it was one of those things.
- 35:30Speaker 1: And so it was just a really long time to
- 35:32Speaker 1: be on that kind of you know, the thing, and
- 35:36Speaker 1: then and then life just gets in the way, and unfortunately,
- 35:39Speaker 1: you know, it was just one of those things where
- 35:40Speaker 1: you don't know each other that well to begin with,
- 35:43Speaker 1: then have that kind of distance for that kind of
- 35:45Speaker 1: a period of time. But I remember, you know, my
- 35:47Speaker 1: big thing with her was I was just gonna be
- 35:49Speaker 1: really honest and and she was very she was very
- 35:52Speaker 1: open to that, which was really nice because I could say,
- 35:55Speaker 1: you know, look, I just feel this, this and this,
- 35:57Speaker 1: and it wasn't like I was, you know, in the
- 35:59Speaker 1: ink fish and over it. It It was kind of like
- 36:02Speaker 1: you know, and so it makes you be more open,
- 36:04Speaker 1: and you know, and she's she's just she's so sweet.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I'm so happy for her, you know, I'm just I mean,
- 36:11Speaker 1: with the passing of her mom and then all of
- 36:13Speaker 1: a sudden to find this joy almost like you know,
- 36:15Speaker 1: in tandem with that moment, and and just you know,
- 36:18Speaker 1: to be in such a good spot for herself personally.
- 36:21Speaker 1: I think it's so awesome. Yeah, yeah, no, I I
- 36:25Speaker 1: think that she's such a sweetheart, even though I've only
- 36:28Speaker 1: met her, you know, a handful of times, but you
- 36:31Speaker 1: can tell, just like everybody else, oh yeah, you can
- 36:34Speaker 1: completely tell what kind of um person she is at
- 36:37Speaker 1: the heart, no doubt. Anyway, that was that was great.
- 36:42Speaker 1: I know you probably were like, oh gosh, are we
- 36:46Speaker 1: are we gonna be okay? No, you know, I was
- 36:49Speaker 1: actually really happy to do it because I mean, we
- 36:51Speaker 1: had Kelly joel Onto and you know, I mean, I
- 36:54Speaker 1: know you know this about me, but I don't know
- 36:56Speaker 1: that a lot of our listeners do. But it was
- 36:57Speaker 1: really important for me at first. All it's hard for
- 36:59Speaker 1: me to be bachelor when I was the bachelor because
- 37:02Speaker 1: I didn't want to. I mean, you and I had
- 37:04Speaker 1: the same feeling. We didn't want to hurt people that
- 37:06Speaker 1: might have feelings if if we weren't reciprocating it. And
- 37:09Speaker 1: and that was the toughest part of the job for me,
- 37:11Speaker 1: was sending someone home. But then afterwards too, when you know,
- 37:14Speaker 1: you go through this relationship cycle, and like I've said
- 37:16Speaker 1: a million times, you and Ryan I really navigated it
- 37:19Speaker 1: so much more brilliantly than most. Obviously the numbers show
- 37:23Speaker 1: you know that the two of you are the original
- 37:25Speaker 1: couple that made it through, and now there's always been
- 37:27Speaker 1: a handful of them since, But it was that was
- 37:30Speaker 1: a tough road to hoe too, and it was just
- 37:32Speaker 1: I hated it. I hated the whole breakup aspect of it.
- 37:35Speaker 1: And then it's in the public eye and you know,
- 37:38Speaker 1: but you know, I was always like, I have nothing
- 37:41Speaker 1: negative to say, because there's literally nothing negative to say
- 37:44Speaker 1: about us all that, you know, And so they would
- 37:46Speaker 1: come after me like, you know, why did you guys
- 37:47Speaker 1: break up? What's going on? Like you know, it's it
- 37:50Speaker 1: must be me, because it's certainly not it's me. And
- 37:55Speaker 1: you know, in the years past, we've found that it
- 37:57Speaker 1: was it was truly me every time read much fuse
- 38:03Speaker 1: until I found, of course, my beautiful intolerant kingdom who
- 38:06Speaker 1: puts up with the gosh. All right, I love you,
- 38:12Speaker 1: Bob Guinny, and thanks for tuning in people, thank you
- 38:16Speaker 1: for listening to everybody.
